• Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk: Atalanta, a cold-hearted witch, and Yusa Kurobane, her cute and constantly put-upon assistant, send puppets down a well to gather magical artifacts from a dungeon. They were also briefly opposed by Hirito.
• L.A. Noire: Ken Cosgrove starts out as a patrolman who rises through the ranks and has Corporal Hawkins, Salinger, and Agent Walker as partners before he's demoted to arson where he works with Harbinger. At least half the cast of Mad Men are interrogated, and other suspects include Unicron and Matt Parkman. Denethor and Micah Bell are behind the overarching conspiracy.
• The Last of Us: Kanji Tatsumi is a rugged post-apocalyptic survivor, making his way past a zombie apocalypse, alongside his brother Joseph Turner and his partner Renee Walker. Kanji's life changes when he is contracted by Alyx Vance to escort Gwen Tennyson to her group. Kanji and Gwen meet Desmond Miles along the way.
• League of Legends: After war wrecks the land of Runeterra, the nations decide to do diplomacy by making their greatest heroes and villains fight each other. • Left 4 Dead: Detective David Tapp, Father Grigori, Cortana, and Joey Cospito are four ordinary people who fight through hordes of zombies, which include the lead singer of Faith No More, the Thing, Squilliam Fancyson, and GLaDOS. Along the way, they are helped by William the Kid and Heavy, but Spy and Scout turn out to be infected.
  • Left 4 Dead 2: O.J. Simpson, Cpl. James Chaffin, Cole McGrath, and Grace Russell are the new survivors.
• LEGO City Undercover: Perdido returns to LEGO City after a 2-year absence after exposing Faith as a secret witness in a trial against Jaguar only to find out Jaguar has escaped and LEGO City is overrun with crime. With the aid of disguises and a police communicator provided by Triss, Perdido must stop Jaguar's plan and bring him back to jail. Avitus Rix is an incompetent recruit, Rufus is the police chief, and Kang the Conqueror is a billionaire and Jaguar's boss.
• LEGO DC Super-Villains: King Frederick breaks out of prison with the help of a mute and Cleo. Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker and Twilight Sparkle team up with a bunch of other villains to rob the Gotham City Police Department. Things go pear shaped when a team of Super Villains masquerading as Heroes led by A Defective Turret trap the local superheroes, led by Colonel Roy Mustang, in an alternate dimension. Now King Frederick, Luke Skywalker, and a bunch of other villains must stop them before they bring General Jack Granger to earth.
• LEGO Dimensions: On his quest for Foundational Elements, the evil Commissioner Gordon merges the worlds in The Multiverse into one. It's up to Miri, Professor Utonium, and Espio the Chameleon to recruit other characters stop Gordon's plot. Among said characters are Goddard, Stuart Macher, Frankie Foster, Abu, Natalie, Red Herring, Captain America, Merasmus, Chun-Li, Red Skull, Mojo Jojo, Leeron Littner, and Infinite.
• The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: The Japanese Donatello wakes up after a long sleep, beckoned by the voice of Princess Ash. Now, Ash, with the help of Donatello, deceased Champions a Moogle, Caulifla, Cheetor and Guido Mista, and new Champions a Kingsglaive, Sae Niijima, Pesci and Kinger, must save Hyrule from an ancient evil. Aiding them are Sheikah elder Jane Jetson, ghostly king Brock, Sheikah scientist turned child Sakura Haruno, and Wise Tree Kiyotaka Ishimaru. At some point, Donatello ends up fighting the Japanese Hop Pop.
  • Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity: A small guardian named Terrako goes into the past to help Donatello and Princess Ash Set Right What Once Went Wrong, alongside a younger Jane. Along the way, they join forces with the Champions as well as the Korok Kotori Minami, and receive assistance from Sakura and her brother Falco Lombardi. They end up fighting the evil sorcerer the Iron Giant, while also dealing with Hop Pop, who is now Sombron, and his henchman M. Bison. The new guardians also go back in time to help. Vicki Vale, Miradox, Wilhamena and Megumin are a group of Great Fairies, Ragna the Bloodedge is a horse god, and Jeunan Avertif is a Sheikah monk.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: Years after Breath of the Wild, Donatello and Ash discover the revival of Demon King Beelzemon, resulting in a weakened Donatello having his arm replaced with that of Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd. Donatello must now fight alongside the Sages, which consist of the Kingsglaive, Sae and Pesci from the last game, as well as Riolu, Yukari Takeba, and the aforementioned Dimitri. Meanwhile, Ash is sent into the past where she meets Dimitri and Yukari, as well as Queen Asuna Yuuki. Astgenne is Sakura's assistant.
• LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: When cosmic bricks are scattered all across the Marvel Universe, Ratchet, Sonic the Hedgehog, Saren Arterius, Roy Mustang, Jamie, Joel, Tohru Honda, Klaus, Lexaeus, and Cecile Horton are among the heroes assembled by Tiger's Eye to recover them before they fall into the hands of Solomon Grundy and Yuri Lowell. Eventually, the heroes must join forces with Grundy and other supervillains to fight Bender Bending Rodriguez.
• LEGO Island: Andy Davis, the adopted son of Grandmother Fa and F.B.I. Agent Hunt, competes in races with Lenny the Lyre Bird and Augustus Sinclair, and then he helps the cops arrest Smart Ass.
• Let It Die: Linka operates an elevator for you.
• Life Is Strange: Iris/Rose Campbell is a Time Master who saves Aloy from being gunned in the girls' bathroom by Tucker. The main Blackwell students include Harriet Smith, Emogene Cabot, and Jaden. Damien is the principal of Blackwell. Sabrina Hepburn is the chemistry teacher. Aloy's mother, Katjaa, is married to Guard Wiley, and her deceased father is Professor Harold MacDougal. Elder Maxson is both a creepy janitor and a famous teacher who owns the Dark Room.
• Lollipop Chainsaw: Harley Quinn is a chainsaw-wielding cheerleader who fights zombies while carrying the still-living (courtesy of some magic taught by Shang Tsung) severed head of her boyfriend The Flash on her belt. Harley's sisters are Velma Dinkley and Shinobu, and her parents are Winston Wellesley and Olga Gurlukovich. Together, Harley and The Flash must fight baddies such as Jimmy Urine, Merle Dixon, Amanda Young, Pong Krell and Thor, in order to stop Kirk Gleason from summoning Kakuzu.
• Looney Tunes: Back in Action: Plucky Duck and Grandpa Lou Pickles are sent on a mission to retrieve a blue monkey-shaped diamond from the nefarious Acme Corporation, led by the nearsighted Droopy.
• Lost Dimension: The Dark Magician leads a crack team of psychic-powered specialists, including Kasumi, Joseph Joestar, Agnès Oblige, 2B, Shadow the Hedgehog, and XJ-9, to defeat terrorist Levi Ackerman, but some of the Dark Magician's team may be traitors, and he must use his own abilities to discover whom.
• Lost Odyssey: Bloo, an anmnesiac immortal, was sent on a mission for the empire to check one of their magic engines by LeFou. He is joined by Twilight Sparkle and Knuckles the Echidna. On his way, he met up his grandchildren Sally Acorn and Asajj Ventress, the immortal queen Ingrid Hunnigan and his long forgotten wife Dawn Star. Eventually, it turns out that LeFou was also an immortal and the reason behind the reactor's malfunction and their memories being lost.
• Love Nikki - Dress Up Queen: In a world where fashion shows are Serious Business, Tomoyo Daidouji embarks on a quest to become the best fashionista in the land.
• Lux-Pain: After a traumatic accident that took his family, Abel becomes a telepath and joins an organisation created to hunt down mental parasites, led by Kyoya Ohtori and co-ordinated by Monkey D Luffy. He arrives in Kisaragi City with his colleague Ayame Sohma and assisted psychic sensor Mirajane, who has a huge crush on him. Between his investigations he settles into the nearby school with his classmates, including Mr. Spock, Ms. 'Splosion Man, Kaoru Hitachiin and Sweden. Eventually he confronts the strongest of the parasites, buried within the minds of an old man, Gelb and one of the Street Fighter announcers.
  • Another way of looking at it: Abel's fellow members of FORT are Zarbon, Young Gohan (who is also Android 18), Bulma and Vegeta.

M

• Madagascar: Cubot, Wilt, Alisa Carmichael, and Wilhuff Tarkin are four zoo animals who end up stranded on the island of Madagascar, where they meet King Reaper the lemur and his subjects Shredder and Bubble Bass. The director of Megamind leads a group of secret agent penguins who help Wilt escape from the zoo. Axel is a cranky parrot, Kip Biederman is a burly sailor, Sleepy is a warthog with a crush on Alisa, Monkian is a Russian crocodile that Wilt runs afoul of, and Hulk is the leader of the fossa that constantly attack Reaper and his subjects.
• Madworld: Jamie, armed with a chainsaw, enters a very brutal and corrupt tournament orchestrated by "Howling Mad" Murdock. Montana Max is caught in the crossfire and Killer Bee is amongst the mightiest of foes. Featuring hilarious commentary from Sandman and Bob the Builder.
• Mad Dash Racing: A wacky foot racing game starring many characters including Ren and Stimpy, Mario, Fowl Mouth, Rancid Rabbit, Phillip J. Fry, Elmer Fudd, Doug Funnie, Muttley, Bashful, Sam Melvick, Popeye, Principal Rizinski, and Ms. Rose.
• Mafia II: After getting back from World War II, Stephen Strange hooks up with his old friend, Harvey Bullock and ultimately joins of the Mafia. Among the bosses that rule the city are Lion-O, Colossus, and Superboy. Lou Buttafucco is an associate of Strange and Bullock's. Stephen is sent to prison for six years by Commissioner Gordon, where he meets Austin Buckell, Iron Man, and Mugen. Rebecca Stein and Beth Oblong are Stephen's mother and sister respectively, Jackie Estacado is Stephen's brother-in-law, and Jackie Chan is a Triad member. During a break-in Stephen and Harvey have a run-in with Nightcrawler.
• Makai Kingdom: Kyon, the most badass overlord in the Netherworld, destroys it when he gets enraged by Rei Ayanami insulting him through the Sacred Tome. In order to get his body back after confining his soul to the Tome and pushing out Mithos Yggdrasil in the process, he has to take over Rei's netherworld, along with those of such other Netherworld luminaries as Vulcanus, Iron Tager and Axel.
• Magic: The Gathering Arena: Dimension-hopping wizards fight each other. The closest thing to protagonists are the group known as the Gatewatch, including the Living Guildpact Deadpool, warrior of justice Azir and ghost-hunter Leblanc. One of the main settings is run by guilds, whose guildmasters include Leblanc, the mysterious shapeshifter Alucard, Grand Arbiter Medic, the anarchist Avan Hardins and the demonic showstopper Reinhardt, as well as one that is de facto run by David Walker on behalf of a dragon. Other dimensional travellers include the Cool Old Lady pyromancer Lucrecia Crescent, the vampire Jeremiah Gottwald, the dragon mage Spike Spiegal, the beast-summoning mermaid Vex, the nightmare sculptor Orochimaru, the artifice master Geras and his boss, the evil elder dragon Wrecking Ball.
• Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis: Kain Highwind is a young man raised by a cat. One day, he was invited to an alchemy school. His friends in the school's workshop include Saber, Yui Hirasawa, Mithos Yggdrasil, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, Widdershin, Estelle, and an alien named Jaken.
• Marvel Heroes: When Ecliptor gets his hands on a very powerful cube, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Goliath and Reese Marshall gather a bunch of superheroes, including Jackie Estacado, Killer Moth, Clayface, Lex Luthor, Drake Parker/Prince Eric, and Leeron to stop Ecliptor and his allies, as well as other villains including Clayface's adopted brother Holland and the master of magnetism Obi-Wan Kenobi.
• Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Optimus Prime and Breakdown have a political quarrel that's interrupted by nanomachines who end up turning Sesshoumaru into an evil cyborg.
• Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Naraku and Legion team-up to conquer their respective universes. Unfortunately for them, their plans have unleashed another threat from Naraku's universe: the Planet Eater known as Atrocitus.
  • From the same universe as Naraku and Atrocitus: The shield-wielding Super-Soldier Zartan, the Powered Armor-clad Hiro Hohara, the God of Thunder Arishok, the savage Saren Arterius, and his cousin Theresa Russo are part of a team of superheroes who have to deal with enemies like the move-copying Vilgax and A.I.M., led by Jon Arbuckle. The telepathic and telekinetic Sheena Fujibayashi, the feral Guilmon and his Opposite-Sex Clone Raven, and the weather controlling Haku are part of another team of superheroes who regularly deal with enemies like Darwin, the Master of Magnetism, the mutant-hunting robot series Bertrand, and Smokescreen, the Merc with a Mouth. Hercules is a young man with spider-like superpowers, Jarod is an Eldritch Abomination, and the Red Guy is an alien with the powers of the Fantastic Four (whom regularly oppose Naraku, Red Guy, and Atrocitus). For DLC, Happosai is another Eldritch Abomination.
  • From Legion's universe: Shinji Hirako is a member of the BSAA and opposes Legion, Kamina is a wandering martial artist, Maka Albarn is an Interpol agent, Petr Capek is Kamina's Evil Counterpart, Fuijko Mine is a spy, Arthur Griffin is the mayor of Metro City, Vash the Stampede is Dr. Wily's final creation, Anna Williams is a genius pirate, Ken Masters is a demon hunter, Artificial Demon Judy is Ken's lover, Cell is a cyborg commando, Mikado Ryugamine is an Ascended Fanboy, Cobra is a knight, Wendy Earhart is a succubus, Asuka Kazama is a Cat Girl, Lisa Fukuyama is a jiang-shi. There's also a sun goddess wolf and for DLC, Anemone is an ally of Shinji's who is Brainwashed and Crazy by Legion.
  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3: All of the above (including Happosai and Anemone) are joined by...
    • From Naraku and Atrocitus's universe: Archer Captain Atom (who's a teammate of Zartan, Hiro, Arishok, Saren, and Theresa), Sorcerer Supreme Vito Scaletta (who regularly deals with creatures like, and including, Jarod and Happosai), the motorcycle-riding Spirit of Vengeance Dennis Booker, Heroes for Hire founder Nightwing, Nova Corps member Van Kleiss, and alien raccoon Space Police officer Malchior.
    • From Legion's universe: Ken's twin brother Eric Myers, photojournalist Dark Specter, ninja Brad Garrison, and lawyer Donatello. There's also a mutant zombie who's crossed paths with Shinji and Anemone and a gargoyle who's crossed paths with Cobra.
• Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite: The genocidal androids Slam Bradley and Tank-Top Tiger team up, even fusing into one. To stop them, the heroes of the universes must turn to Wonder Woman's adopted father, Soundwave (who's obsessed with Jibanyan), for help. Zartan, Hiro, Saren, Kamina, Shinji, Ken, Wendy, Brad, Vash, Captain Atom, Dark Specter, Cobra, Arthur, and Cell remain the same, but now Arishok is Two-Face, Malchior is Mr. Chang, Hercules is now SwaySway, Vito is Gaara, Maka is now Sasha Braus, Van Kleiss is now Eugene Horowitz, Dennis is now Max Modell, and Jarod is now Samurai Jack. In addition to Wonder Woman, they're joined by Sigint, the Baroness, Koukin Shuuyu, Khyber, Clementine, Zartan's former sidekick Robin, spy (and teammate of Zartan, Hiro, Two-Face, Saren, Captain Atom, and Signit) Rayne, and the symbiotic Zerstörer. Additionally, the gargoyle is Cheetor, the mutant zombie is now Quincy Fisher, and Bulkhead is a plant creature that helps Wonder Woman and Mr. Chang.
• Mass Effect:
  • Mass Effect: Jethann (or Bastila, depending on your gender) is asked by Sgt. Foley and Lockdown to defeat Kakuzu, a rouge Citadel agent who is assisted by Demona, before he ends humanity. To accomplish this, Jethann/Bastila creates a team consisting of Cookie, Oracle, Scott Evil, Karin, Lance Brooks, Anna-Marie, and Scorch.
    • And Bastila can have sex with Carth Onasi. Curious implications, there.
  • Mass Effect 2: After dying in an ambush from a species known as the Collectors, Jethann/Bastila is revived by President Josiah Bartlet's organization to investigate themi and their connection with the Reapers. Accompanied by Kate Morgan and Nathan Hastings, Jethann/Bastila puts together a team of specialists including Lance, Anna, KO, Leeron Littner, the Nutcracker, and Eruptor to stop their threat. In the process, the team gets a surprising additional membber in the form of Albert Wesker. Jethann/Bastila also gets a new ship with Black Cat as a helpful AI.
  • Mass Effect 3: With Earth under invasion by the Reapers, Sgt. Foley has Jethann/Bastila reinstated under alliance miltary to put a stop to the threat. He/she reunites the old team of Carth/Oracle, Anna, Lance, Karin, and newcomer Kanan Jarrus, while Black Cat gains an artifical body to begin assisting the team on assignments. Atrocitus also can join the team. However, President Bartlet has employed Batman as his new enforcer to get in the team's way.
• Master Detective Archives: Rain Code: K1-B0 is an amnesiac Master Detective for the World Detective Organization who solves seemingly impossible mysteries alongside his ghostly partner Dori. They work with the Nocturnal Detective Agency under the guidance of Ichiban Kasuga, whose members include fellow Master Detectives Luke, Kagetsu, Nozomi Kaminashi, and Haru Okumura, each of whom have special detective fortes that help them solve mysteries around the world. In their way however is the shady MegaCorp that runs Kanai Ward known as Amaterasu Corporation, whose peacekeepers are headed by Hikari Ku and his second-in-command Eleonora Yumizuru
• Mega Man 11: Numbuh One, helped by his creator Mycen, his sister Loona, his dog the Honest Trailers epic voice guy and the goofy robot Boey, must stop Ted Viking's new plan to use Mycen's robots Necalli, Natsu Dragneel, 2011 Illumi Zoldyck, Optimus Prime, F.A.N.G, Silque, Spandam and Cody to conquer the world thanks to an old grudge.
• Mega Man X7: Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami must team up with newbie Anna Williams to stop their new foe Barry Burton and their old enemy Xion. They are lead by Alucard and have the support of Alice Nonomura.
• Mega Man X8: Domon Kasshu, Kashamura, and Kenta Suetake team up to save 1999 Gon Freecss from Chibodee Crockett, who was last seen exploding in X3. It turns out that Master Asia is pulling the strings once more and trying to get Mavericks to migrate to the Moon and abandon Earth. The trio is led by Chibodee and supported once more by Aya, who is now joined by two more navigators: Reccoa Londe (who is hopelessly smitten with Kashamura) and a less loli Dejiko.
• Metal Gear Solid: Lupin the Third is deployed to a remote island in Alaska, where he meets up with his old friend, Grim (Jack Fenton in the Gamecube remake) and fights with his brother, Yasochika Iemura, whose underlings include Director Hashima, Ultimecia, and Sabretooth. Along the way, Tsunade falls in love with him. He's guided by Max Tennyson, with help from Sam, ER Doctor Tompkins and Subaru.
  • Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty: After Lupin's mission aboard a tanker commanded by Panthro, he is replaced by Iruka Umino, who flies out to the site of an oil spill, where he has to make contact with Old George, gets his crotch grabbed by Vorador, and has to save Ophelia, who is Tompkins' sister. There, he is helped by Aku Aku, who killed his soul, and fights villains including Marvin and Vizier. It turns out that Elroy Jetson was behind everything. Or possibly Leonardo. Or was it Loquel?
  • Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater: Lupin's father, Captain America, guided by Zazu, goes to the Soviet Union to kill Moneybags and his former mentor, Pearl Krabs. He also gets into a fight with Major Hercules and rescues a stove.
  • Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots: Lupin, now an old man assisted by a cyborg Iruka, his adoptive daughter Silvia, and Tsunade, accepts a mission from Max to terminate his brother/rival Elroy, who commands Marvin and four mentally disturbed women: Silvia Christel, Lady Jaye, Oprah Winfrey, and Luz Avalos, the last of whom is controlled by the Dragonborg. Along the way, Lupin meets his mother Ruth Martin, Ophelia turns out to have nanomachines that stop her cancer from killing her, and Tsunade marries Gene. In the end, Lupin tries to commit suicide, but is stopped by Senator Kelly.
  • Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops: Captain America travels to South America to confront the super soldier, Red Skull and his psychic underling, Sari Sumdac. Along the way, he learns that the stove isn't dead and encounters his old comrade, Dingodile.
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker: Captain America is back in South America, accompanied by Captain Phoenix, where they encounter the KGB agent Green Goblin. They get involved in a conflict between Natla and mechanical monsters created by Black Canary. The final boss fight is against Timmy Turner piloting a Metal Gear.
  • Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance: Iruka goes up against a corporation backed by the corrupt senator Councilor Sparatus, who's subordinates include Iruka's rival Noble 6, Sparatus' second-in-command Firefly, the magnetic Zombozo, and Femme Fatale Black Widow. Iruka's also assisted by allies such computer specialist Emma Frost, pointman Alfred Pennyworth, military advisor Aquaman, and cybernetics expert Perceptor.
  • Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes: One year after Peace Walker, Captain America — who has suddenly aged into Jack Bauer — must rescue young Kratos, Hip and Hop from Wheeljack. Bauer performs a messy emergency surgery on Hip and Hop, who then explode violently, sending Bauer into a coma.
  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: After waking up from a coma, Jack Bauer travels to Africa with a model to deal with Hercules (who is now Kanji Tatsumi), Wheeljack, Yogi Bear, and Leo. Leo turns out to be Jack's son/clone and the future Yasochika. Also a young Dragonborg is there.

  • Nicktoons: Battle For Volcano Island: An ancient evil named Magnus has awoken and is taking over an island, so Goofy summons Spyro, Marty, and Rocky to save him and the other inhabitants of the island. Jay Jay continues to help out behind the scenes. Spyro's friends Frosty the Snowman and Ashley Graham join the action this time, as does Marty’s friend Ms. Chalice. • NieR (Gestalt version): In order to save his daughter Amy Sorel, Warpath acquires the power of the dark book of Gaara. He is challenged and later assisted by hot-tempered swordswoman Raspberyl and child turned weapon Karol Capel. Twins Sumia and Marie are the bartenders in the village Warpath lives in, and are also the main antagonists.
  • Nier Replicant (PS4 version): The same but with Byleth (later Noctis Lucis Caelum) instead of Warpath and him being Amy Sorel's brother instead of her father.
  • NieR: Automata: Eight thousand years later, Earth is being invaded by aliens using "machine lifeforms" they control. Androids are built and dispatched to combat those machines. Umi Sonoda and Mikazuki Augus are some of these androids. Legion is Umi's support unit, whereas Nezuko Kamado is Mikazuki's support unit, and Asuna is a prototype to both Umi and Mikazuki. Umi and Mikazuki fight the machine siblings Muzan Kibutsuji and Bruno Bucciarati to bring peace upon Earth and to safely bring back humans from the Moon.
• Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors: Deuce Gorgon wakes up in a ship not knowing how he arrives there. After nearly escaping with his life, he met other people who are in the same predicament as him; like his childhood friend Azura, a blind man named England and his younger sister Athena Cykes, a white haired man named Kiyotaka Ishimaru, an old gentleman called Etemon a black man called Hammerhead, a woman called Naoto Shirogane and a bespectacled man named Liquid Snake. Together, they must survive the nonary games or they will die.
• Ninja Gaiden: Captain America is a ninja who seeks to avenge his village after it's destroyed by Davik Kang. He has help from Raven, Gi, and Sideswipe. Mac Mange is Cap's uncle and the true villain.
  • Ninja Gaiden II: Cap is now Spider-Man and Sideswipe is now Max Tennyson. Spidey must deal with Sarah Essen, Baron Zemo, Cosmo, Duke, and Odin with the help of Gi, Starfire, and Sailor Mercury. Spidey's father Silver Samurai has a history with Emperor Zarkon.
  • Ninja Gaiden III: Spidey is now Nova and has to deal with Wheeljack and Brian Sims with the help of Max, Liara T'Soni, Gi and her sister Litchi Faye-Ling, Emperor Charles zi Britannia and Starfire, who's now Eva Parker. Fire Leo is Mission Control and Katana is a little girl.
• No More Heroes: Loser otaku Baron Zemo tries to worm his way into Lulu's pants by battling Olmec, General Grievous, Hunter J, Spider-Man, Mei Ling, Captain Rex, Lee Scoresby, Pearl, Venus, and Hobgoblin with a lightsaber. Then he finds out that Ovelia is his half-sister and Axel is his twin brother. Shadowsan is a gym instructor, Wonder Woman makes Zemo's lightsabers, The Grizz is an ex-wrestler, and Jotaro Kujo is a video store owner and Zemo's best friend.
  • No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle: In retaliation for Jotaro's murder, Zemo goes on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge against Beelzemon, Cyborg, Sasuke Uchiha, Jimmy Neutron, Batgirl, a returning Rex (who is now The Incredible Hulk), Roy Campbell, two Spider-Men, Mr. Washee-Washee, Twilight Sparkle, Max Tennyson, Cinderella, and finally Simon. Hunter J also returns to deal with Campbell and the Spider-Men on Zemo's behalf. Rivet is an assassin in training, and Coco Bandicoot is a foe that Axel fights in a dream. Takashi Miike appears as a friend of Jotaro.

Melman also has a run-in with a loan shark bear named Swanky.
• Overwatch: Chrom is a 21st-century cowboy who would like to tell you that IT'S HIGH NOON. Flynn is a Swedish dwarf who builds turrets. Alucard is a gorilla from the moon in charge of bringing a multinational group of heroes back together. Guile is a B-movie director who wants you to move the damn payload already, and Lord Hater is Death himself.

Mahito, Eren Jeager, Rorona Frixell and Apollo Justice are four ghosts that are henchmen of Luke, but are secretly helping Megumin out.
• Pepsiman: Paul is a superhero who does nothing but chug on Pepsi.
• Phantom Brave: Melody is a girl who lives on an island and is rejected by society at large because of her ability to see spirits. Her only friend is a dead boy named Ecliptor. During a couple of jobs, they run into Orochimaru, who is trying to take their reward so he can support his sister Kari.

  • In the PC version, Rudy goes around collecting ingredients to make a soup, and Optimus Prime is instead Ripto.
• Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle: Ash Williams meets a girl named Katherine Hillard who enlists his aid in freeing her people and Ash Williams from Him, an evil woman bent on controlling the world.
• Planescape: Torment: The Pretender goes on a quest to discover his identity and the nature of his immortality, aided by Raphael, Assistant Director Skinner, Bev Bighead, Homer Simpson, Bastila Shan, Goliath, and Sheena Easton. Along the way, he has run-ins with Alfred Pennyworth, Discord, and Squidward Tentacles.

• Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?: Rukia sends 1000 of her Teddies on pretty much a suicide mission to get the Ultra Dessert. Along the way, they run into various bosses such as Sumomo the Yandere Cat Witch and Sasuke Uchiha of the Phoenix Clan. Meanwhile, Yoruichi gets tired of not having her own game and attempts a Hostile Show Takeover.
  • Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood: The 1000 Teddies have reincarnated and have been replaced by 1000 Warriors of Light who are tasked with finding Rukia's missing panties. Meanwhile, Yoruichi tries to fight her way through look-a-likes to be a main character, especially her Evil Counterpart Pascal.
• Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask: After receiving a letter from his old friend Maka Albarn, the Professor, along with his assistants Mia and Micaiah, head to the desert casino town of Monte d'Or, run by Maka's husband Levi. While there they encounter a mysterious masked man with a mask similar to that found by the Professor and Maka's old friend Matt Miller who disappeared during an expedition. Meanwhile they are caught in a business feud between Levi and another old acquaintance, businessman Greed!Ling who suspects Akihiko is up to no good.
• [PROTOTYPE]: Pvt. Daniel Jackson wakes up in a morgue with no memories of his past actions. With the help of his sister Dr. Cat Black and his ex-girlfriend Irwin, Daniel tears through New York to get answers to his past from Captain Jim Brass and Viker.
• Psychonauts: Zim goes to a camp for psychics, where he has to stop Cobra Commander and Morbius from stealing kids' brains. Twilight Sparkle is Zim's loyal assistant.

  • Puyo Puyo Tetris: Saitama and Kiara discover Frankie Stein and her friends Ryuko and Mako, who are from other universes, aboard their space vessel. When Frankie and Saitama's universes begin merging thanks to Leon S. Kennedy, the key to everything may be Arakune and the Conductor, whom Falke is madly in love with. Also starring bully Ema Skye, scholar Franklin, chemist Ryu, lolita May Kanker, dog-man Lex Luthor, robot Namor, witch Litchi Faye-Ling, twins Haruhi and Konata, dragon woman Faye Valentine, Numbuhs One and Two, fish-man 18-Volt, ghost Maijin Buu, swordsman Dedue, and small round creature Amy Rose. Nazz is Ryuko's rabbit companion, and Mako's teacher Athena Cykes appears briefly, as do the twin ghosts Makoto Nanaya and Labrys.

He is saved from a premature death when a seemingly-useless white book given to him by his commanding officer transports him to a Place Beyond Time, where Shisui Uchiha and Neptune give him a mission to save his world from being covered in sand by setting history on its correct course.
• Raiden V: Abigail is the coffee-addicted captain of an Airborne Aircraft Carrier, Ragyo Kiryuin is part of the global military council, Sayaka Miki has turned to piracy, Speed o' Sound Sonic works with an underground organization, and Megabeth has now become Bellwether's Mission Control.
• Ratatouille: Quibble Pants, with spiritual guidance from Chef Lobo, helps the young Bernie Kropp try his hand at cooking while avoiding the sinister head chef Bilbo Baggins and winning the heart of fellow cook Ursula. Quibble Pants' brother Recycle Ben guides him through the tutorial.
• Ratchet & Clank: Michelangelo and his sidekick Megatron track down Jack Krauser and fight Scott Dolph with the biggest and most unconventional guns money can buy. They also cross paths with Mike Heck and the Janitor.

  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart: Quark forcibly sends Obi-Wan and Megatron to a dimension where he always wins. There, Obi-Wan and Megatron meet their dimensional counterparts Sam Simpson and Grandma Shark. They must work together to save the multiverse, as Quark's dimensional counterpart Luxord seeks to conquer every dimension in existence. Krauser is now Fizzie.

  • Rayman 2: The Great Escape: Goku^note Big Green dub version, with aid from Dan and Luther, faces off against the evil forces of Colonel Amos.
  • Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc: Goku and Dan (now Sid the Sloth) must save the world from a Black Lum and his army of Hoodlums (among them Marvin the Martian and Ernie), with partial help from Phillip J. Fry.
• Resident Evil
  • Resident Evil 2: Nightcrawler and Jubilee find themselves trapped in a zombie-infested city. All the while, they must tend to Mystique's daughter Paula Morton as her mutated father tries to abduct her for his own purposes. Nightcrawler falls in love with the announcer from Marvel vs. Capcom.
  • Resident Evil 3: Nemesis: Jean Grey, having survived "the Mansion incident", finds herself stuck in Raccoon City during the same Zombie Apocalypse that Nightcrawler and Jubilee found themselves in. She later teams up with Zexion to escape the necropolis, all the while fending off an Implacable Zombie named Luigi.
  • Resident Evil 4: U.S. Secret Agent Specter has been tasked with rescuing the President's daughter Cindy Vortex from a mysterious European cult led by Jin Uzuki. He runs into Batman early on and from there on, it becomes apparent that this isn't some simple rescue mission. Specter is soon caught up with (among other things) a new breed of zombie-esque monsters, the return of his love interest Annette Renard, and his thought-to-be-dead partner Baron Strucker.
  • Resident Evil 5: Shinji Hirako continues the fight against the zombies and heads to Africa, where he discovers that his MIA partner Cassie Chan may not be dead and that Legion is once again pulling the strings.
  • Resident Evil 6: The fight against zombies and global bio-terrorism continues fifteen years after the Raccoon City Incident. Shinji partners with the Mystery Pill Guy to investigate an outbreak in China; Alvin (standing in for Specter) partners with Cheria Barnes to investigate an outbreak in Tall Oaks that infected the President himself; and Joel, a mercenary, partners with Bianca Montgomery (standing in for Paula). Jack (standing in for Annette) becomes heavily involved in the stories of the three aforementioned pairs.
• Resistance: Megatron, Thor (later Talbot) and Michael Amador are all humans battling an alien race of Medics.
• Resonance of Fate: Olette attempts to kill herself, only to by saved by Ma-Ti and put to work for a small group of bounty hunters led by the Penguin.
• River City Girls: Yunyun and Chris fight their way through the six regions of River City to rescue their kidnapped boyfriends, Takayuki Yagami and Detective Pikachu.
• Rogue Galaxy: Terry McGinnis is mistaken for Jack Campbell by Alister Fletcher and Reks thanks to his Cool Sword. Pandora brings them aboard her father Saren's pirate ship, and they sail the stars in search of treasure. The crew's ranks grows to include Orochimaru, Charmcaster, Szayel Apporo Granz, and Depth Charge.
• Rune Factory 4: A courier (either Asbel Lhant or Maribelle) is found amnesiac and mistaken as royalty by the dragon BlackRose until the real prince Jude Mathis arrives. Despite the misunderstanding, they keep up the act and must work for the improvement of Sylvaria. They can also romance some of the bachelors/bachelorettes like Collete Brunel, Presea Combatir, Polka, Hinata Hyuga, Sophie and Cheria Barnes for Asbel or Mao (Oscar Dragonia in the Switch version), the aforementioned Jude, Luke Fon Fabre, Numbuh One, Albert Wesker and Walter for Maribelle.
