WMG / Death Battle Suggestions Returning Combatants Seasons 6 To 10

Go To

Death Battle suggestions for returning combatants sorted through Seasons 6-10.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Remember that they should have at least some common factor. Even the Starscream vs. Rainbow Dash had one; both being popular high flyers in their toylines in Hasbro. Also, no fanon interpretations of characters.
  • No creepypasta. They have too many unknowns to be qualified combatants, and Death Battle is known for showing their research.
  • Characters who run on the Rule of Funny are generally frowned upon. With no established limits, any scientific limits would be random. However, this doesn't really apply if that is the entire point; if you have a "just for fun" type match up, put it in the Jokes Battles folder.
  • No Memetic Badasses after Chuck Norris and Segata Sanshiro (that match-up's enough, thanks!). The fun of the meme is kind of ruined when the show reveals and proves that they're not nearly as badass as all the jokes and facts say. And besides, the aforementioned match ended in an apocalyptic draw. note
  • If you see several characters carrying the same consistent theme in this page, be sure to move them here.

    • Kaos (Both of them are the sons of powerful and evil rulers [King Cold and Kaossandra] who were associated with the leaders/former leaders of Frieza and Kaos' greatest enemies [King Cold ruling over Vegeta, the previous king of all Saiyans, and Kaossandra working alongside Master Eon the trainer and mentor of all Skylanders], they would demonstrate from very early ages that they were rotten to their core just like their parents [Frieza blowing up Planet Vegeta, and Kaos using his magic to enslave his nursery leading to him getting sent to a Dark Magic School], however while King Cold was very impressed with his son and planned on him succeeding his empire, Kaossandra practically despised Kaos and considered him a complete failure of a son. Both Frieza and Kaos would soon become the leaders of their own groups and evil organizations, using said armies to take over their universe though are constantly thwarted by a hero [Goku and Spyro], both of them in a fight utilize primarily their purple laser energy attacks that they shoot in varying styles and shapes, however usually when they activate their super forms, and while they are not the only villain from their series, they are by far its most iconic and most reoccurring one)

They also have a habit of coming back from the dead for the sake of their rivalry against said protagonist [Goku and Samus])
    • Ronan (Powerful galactic conquerors who are among the strongest beings in an alien race)
    • Ultraman Belial (Tyrannical, galactic conquers who serve as recurring antagonists to a group of heroes under the same group [the Saiyans for the former, the Ultramen for the latter])
  • Megatron VS...
  • Satoru Gojo VS...
    • Accelerator (have very similar powers, both are hailed as "the strongest" in their verse)
    • Aoko Aozaki (Fun loving teachers that were prodigies during their time as students that went to change how even their worlds power System may even be perceived, would go to take students with something akin to a Double personality, fight with martial arts and broken Beam Spams... And love to eat.)
    • Arthur Leywin (Both won the Superpower Lottery to become The Ace and the World's Strongest Man, have Mystical White Hair and wear black outfits, wield Purple Is Powerful energy abilities, and have acted as teachers with a benign agenda [Gojo seeks to make his students strong enough to stand shoulder to shoulder with him, while Arthur taught at both Xyrus and Central Academy and in the case of the latter wound up encouraging his students to turn against the Vritra]. Arthur's past life as King Grey also has very close similarities with Gojo's as both had a former friend turned evil [Geto and Nico/Elijah], a Lost Lenore whom both showed attraction towards who is associated with being the vessel for a supernatural entity [Riko and Cecilia, the former being the vessel and the latter being the entity], and an Ancient Evil from beyond their time who manipulated all of them for his own plans [Kenjaku and Agrona]. Both also have a close relationship with someone who unwillingly became the vessel for a villainous entity who has the potential to be their equal in terms of power [Gojo takes Yuji as his student to save him from being executed after he becomes the vessel for Sukuna, Arthur is bent on saving his Childhood Friend Love Interest Tessia from being Cecilia's vessel])
    • Avan
    • Buddha
    • Gyro Zeppeli (Eccentric, playful and at times bizarre-acting mentors to the main protagonist. In their youth, both were introduced to an ability passed down through their noble families which allowed them to distort and manipulate space by imprinting the very fabric of it with a limitless convergence of a concept, with both being referred to as wielding "the power of infinity". As a result of this mastery, both have general good nature can give way to a proud, almost arrogant persona, with both being notable for their sharp tongue and general lack of respect for both friends and enemies. They also become known as the two most adept users of this ability thanks to the utilization of a specialized eye(s) that significantly augments their mastery of this ability and allows them to utilize their abilities to a greater extent as well as operate with additional supernatural ocular abilities that greatly enhance the natural usefulness of their line of sight)
    • Kakashi Hatake
    • Souji Tendou (Incredibly powerful fighters with Buddhist imagery of their egos. Have insanely broken abilities (Domain Expansion, Hollow Purple, Clock Up, Hyper Clock Up) that not many can really counter (but still do). “Throughout heaven and Earth, I alone am the honored one.” vs "The man who walks the path of Heaven, and rules over all." The organizations they work along don't like their carefree and solo actions, but they can't afford to go against them as they're the strongest choices against the enemy.)
    • Kisuke Urahara
    • Merlin
    • Osamu Dazai (Eccentric Mentors to the protagonists of long-running supernatural action manga, who they take in after discovering that they are the vessel for a powerful, but uncontrollable monster. Both usually act silly to the point of annoying others, something they do intentionally, but can get serious when the time calls for it. Both have an ability that is considered extremely powerful in the context of their story, to the point that the villains often focus on getting them out of the way first, as any interference from them is likely to ruin their plans. Both also have a serious, blond-haired coworker they tend to annoy, and a past connection to the Big Bad)
    • RJ (Bunny-Ears Lawyer Trickster Mentors with a Purple Is Powerful motif entrusted to the main group of 3 protagonists so they can eventually take out a demon lord inhabiting the body of a schoolboy [Sukuna possessing Yuji for Gojo, and Da Shi possessing Jarrod for RJ]. Both were rather hard to take seriously at first, but then prove themselves and then some by giving the main antagonist at the time an utter Curb-Stomp Battle with no powers. They have powers involving a special dimension [Morphin Grid for RJ and Domain Expansion for Gojo], a special generational trait they try to hide [RJ has an animal spirit which he doesn't want to embrace at first but after learning something valuable he accepts it and become the purple ranger, Gojo was born with the Six Eyes grants him incredibly powerful Super-Senses and perception of Cursed Energy, so he usually wears a blindfold or thick sunglasses to lessen the chance of Sensory Overload. That, and he also just doesn't like how they look], and real-life martial arts in conjunction with them [Gojo has Jujutsu, RJ has Kung Fu]).
    • Ryougi Shiki
  • Makima VS...
    • Angela
    • Alastor
    • Alucard
    • Arcueid Brunestud (Hostile, sadistic, dispassionate monsters [Devil and Vampire] who hold opposing viewpoints on their powers and humanity [Makima relishes in those that fear her nature as the Control devil and mocks upon human and animal life forms as mere dogs, whereas Arcueid loathes being a vampire due to their bloodlust nature], were born out of the desire to control humans [Makima is conceived by the humans' fear of control, whereas Gaia creates True Ancestors like Arcueid as a means to counter humanity's lust for resources and corruption of the planet's environment], both are powerful members of their race and held well-respected positions of power [Makima as an officer of the Public Safety Devil Hunter Organization, and Arcueid as the Princess of the True Ancestors], with an understood goal of ruling over large domains of land [Earth and The Millenium Castle Brunestud], their upbringing and power came at a price of authoritative powers restraining them from simple human rights [the government denying Makima love and care and Arcueid was truly alone as the True Ancestors merely treated her as a weapon and had been frequently prohibited from exploring the human world], getting to be treated as machines, were subjects of authoritarian abuse until they came across the main character [Denji and Tohno Shiki] with ties to incarnations of their past selves [Chainsaw Devil and SHIKI Tohno] during a mission to exterminate monstrous incarnations [Various Devils and Michael Roa Valdamjong]; fascinated by their hidden abilities [Pochita and Shiki's Mystic Eyes of Death Perception], the two took them under their wings to teach them the ways of hunting down the monsters in their world [Makima's treatment of Denji is a means to take hold over the world using the Chainsaw Devil that he possesses in his heart; she does not authentically provide the same care to Denji himself alone whereas Arcueid's relationship with Shiki fulfills her desire to live among the humans], possess a strong level of hypnotism [Makima's nature as the Control Devil and Mystic Eyes of Enchantment], are notably the strongest characters in their respective worlds, both of their powers make practical use of large domains of the world as a resource [the Prime Minister contract and Gaia], and heavily associate their power with chains. In contrast, the two share opposite motifs of freedom and control, in which Makima has a "control" theme [She is the Control Devil, her powers allow her to control anything she sees as below her] whereas Arcueid has a freedom theme [She grew up alone in a castle, loses any and all control of her senses in her bloodlust state])

Their powers, though opposed, both manifest as diverting away all harm that comes upon them onto unfortunate bystanders [Makima is the Control Devil and her contract with the Prime Minister means any Japanese citizen will suffer harm in her stead, while Tooru's stand Wonder of U weaponizes calamity by having anyone seeking to uncover his true identity face an unforeseen and often fatal accident])
