• Back from the Dead: They don't call him the "French Canadian Frankenstein" for nothing. After his Monster's Ball match with JONAH, he died, but Vincent brought him back to life.
• Beware the Quiet Ones: Doesn't talk too much, but if anything, don't ever mess with him.
• The Bus Came Back: After two brief stints, he returns for a third time as a member of Honor No More.
• Finishing Move: The PCOsault, a moonsault which manages to perform well for his age.
• Masked Luchador: During his brief stint as X.
• No-Sell: And how! Each time he's hit with either a Signature Move, a Finishing Move or a weapon, he recovers as if nothing ever happened.
• Red Baron: "The French-Canadian Frankenstein", "He’s Not Human!", "Perfect Creation One".
• Ring Oldies: He's in his 50s and is a force to be reckoned!*
• Token Good Teammate: For Honor No More since his resurrection.

Dallas/Lance Hoyt/Lance Rock (Lance Hoyt) 「2004–2009」

• Air Guitar: Subverted as Lance Rock, he has a guitar, but it's a controller for the game, Guitar Hero.
• Catchphrase: As Lance Rock for the Rock 'n Rave Infection. "Who wants to get infected tonight?"
• Dreadful Musician: Joined up with Jimmy Rave and Christie Hemme to compliment their shared lack of musical talent. Ron Killings, who had a little more, didn't mind Hoyt's dancing however.
• Early-Bird Cameo: First appeared in TNA dark matches appropriately as Shadow...he had been using the gimmick to relative success on the Texas independent circuit, so it was a coincidence.
• I Have Many Names: Dallas, Lance Hoyt and Lance Rock.
• Long-Haired Pretty Boy: His initial gimmick as Dallas, though unlike most examples he was still treated as a threatening powerhouse due to his size and teaming with the much smaller Kid Kash.
• Put on a Bus: First to WWE, then to Japan, and now to All Elite Wrestling.
• Sunglasses at Night: Though he tended to wear them on the top of his head, suggesting he really was saving them for when they were really needed.
• Unrelated Brothers: Debuted as Dallas, Kid Kash's relative.
• Wrestling Doesn't Pay: A wrestling Heavy Metal guitarist as a member of the the Rock 'n Rave Infection.

• Canon Name: His real first name.
• Catchphrase: Nada es imposible, he even tattooed it on his bicep.
• Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Flat-out vanished from TNA the month after beginning his 2015 run, due to legal issues with Lucha Underground, who he was technically still under contract to at the time. Especially notable that it also killed the Beat Down Clan, which he was heavily involved in.
• Early-Bird Cameo: Hernandez was in TNA several years before his run with LAX, as a member of Jeff Jarrett's Elite Guard.
• Gangbangers: LAX, Mexican America, BDC, Outlaw Gz, every stable he's been a member of since 2006 has had an element of this.
• Insane Troll Logic: Says he was treated like a star in Mexico, which made him realize he was treated like a second class citizen in USA because of his race. This completely justifies working for old white men to injure another white man in his mind.
• Last-Name Basis: Lots of variations are used in place of a first name.
• Lightning Bruiser: Slingshot in the ring, boarder toss out.
• Politically Incorrect Villain: By starting Mexican America he was seeking to prove Mexicans were the superior race, yes, even to all you other Latinos and Hispanics!
• Red Baron: Super Mex, complete with with Shirt-Ripping.
• Would Hit a Girl: Kicked an LAX-America's Most Wanted Feud to a new level by border tossing Gail Kim. WWC also found out the hard way when invaded by Mexican America.

• Commuting on a Bus: His last two tenures with the company were basically this.
• Green-Eyed Monster: Of the jealous variety. He was obviously scared his manager Trinity was going to take his spot and his X Division Championship. These fears proved to be somewhat justified but he managed not fight her off and keep his spot.
• Nonchalant Dodge: His reaction to Delirious' crazed rampages was just to stand his ground, keep his eye on him and roll out of the way when Delirious approached until the masked man calmed down.
• Red Baron: The Notorious K.I.D.
• Spiteful Spit: To Amazing Red, in response to his attempts to be sportsmanlike.
• Ungrateful Bastard: Did nothing for Trinity when Raven attacked her, even though she always dropped what she was doing to come to his aid. When they were not opponents anyway.
• Unrelated Brothers: Lance Hoyt debuted as Dallas, Kid Kash's relative.

K-Krush/Ron Killings (Ronnie Aaron Killings) 「2002–2007」

Kenny King (Kenny Layne) 「2005–2006」 「2012–2015」 「2022-present」

• By the Hair: Threatened to pull out Christian York's dreadlocks if that's what it took to win the X-Division title. He's also plucked Eric Young's beard hairs!
• Chess Motifs: Has put the King piece on his tights.
• Expy: To Randy Orton in revived!Evolution, as the younger, most athletic and volatile member who has been deliberately used for female fanservice (though the latter part is coincidental). However, besides role comparison King is not as cerebral as Orton, though King is better at lying, and is much more energetic than Orton, both in promos and in the ring. Despite the similarities of the role King is far from being the golden boy of TNA to Orton's protected WWE status.
• Filth: His other lines of work as described by Eric Young, who says he can't talk about the things Kenny King has been involved with on television. As a babyface Mike and Taz would constantly make references to him being a "real life Magic Mike" (though it didn't quite catch on into his Red Baron), and his theme song was even titled "Magic Machine" as a nod to this.
• Finishing Move: Royal Flush.
• Jerkass: He will let loose with Trash Talk and/or cheap shots for the slightest perceived offense, brags on- and off-mic every chance he gets about himself and/or his cohorts, and has even shown immense disrespect towards a war veteran turned wrestler who has the scars to show for it. The last example pretty much got him pinned by Chris Melendez, but then he would add yet another by trying to rip off Melendez' automail leg in retaliation.
• Jerk Jock: So why doesn't he like Chris Melendez? Because Melendez has a lot of attention, a prosthetic leg and hasn't done anything on King's level (never mind Melendez only being on TNA's active roster for a week).
• Jobber: Was one in his first run.
• Leeroy Jenkins: Highlighted when he jumped on Bully Ray, who was carrying a really long pipe.
  MVP: "Kenny, Kenny, you gotta learn...aw forget it."
• Mr. Fanservice: And he knows it. Has worked as a Chippendale dancer in his Indy days.
• Put on a Bus: Right back to Ring of Honor.
  • The Bus Came Back: However, with ROH on hiatus, he returns to Impact Wrestling in 2022 as part of Honor No More.
• Red Baron: The King of the Night, The Pretty Boy Pit Bull.
• The Hyena: Whenever he thinks he is winning he is liable to burst out into laughter.
• The Starscream: A painfully obvious one to MVP from the moment it's revealed they even have an allegiance. This actually stopped being the case after MVP got injured and told King and Lashley to fight it out and let the best man win.
• Underwear of Power: Its more than he wears in his other showbiz profession.

• Commuting on a Bus: Tended to show up only for X-Division events.
• Finishing Move: Code Red.
• Law of Chromatic Superiority: For his X-Division Title runs, otherwise he's usually a jobber.
• Meaningful Name: His hair is red. This later extended to his kayfabe Big Little Brother Crimson.
• Perky Female Minion: Alexis Laree, who besides accompanying and sometimes fighting alongside him in TNA was also part of his trio with him and AJ Styles in Ring of Honor. (AJ used to defend the X-Division Title belt in ROH, in case you're asking why that's relevant.)
• Shout-Out: One of his themes is a remix of Cell's.
• The Stoic: This was reasoning behind Alexis Laree, Don West and Crimson pairing up with him. While he's amazing to watch in the ring, Red admitted he's not the type to talk trash, make threats or go after people, so they handled all that for him.
• Summon Bigger Fish: What does he do when Jeff Jarrett is picking on him? Call his completely ripped (kayfabe) younger brother to humiliate him.
• Wrestling Family: His cousins are Joel and Jose Maximo, 2/3 of the Spanish Announce Team (the Tag Team), and Rosita.

• Potty Emergency: Had to wrestle a match after taking a laxative during the Jackass angle.
• Put on a Bus: Was pinned in a Loser Leaves (the stipulation only applying to whoever was pinned) tag match while teaming with Eric Young against Beer Money in February '09.
• The Bus Came Back: In 2013, Williams resurfaced to compete once more in the X-Division for a while before retiring.
• Red Baron: Went by The Canadian Destroyer, Maple Leaf Muscle, and Little Petey Pump.
• Underwearof Power: After he started working with Scott Steiner.
• Worthy Opponent: Chris Sabin was his when both were in TNA and feuded in the X Division, the two having graduated the same year and training camp as well.

• Comically Missing the Point: When he got the fired case in Feast or Fired, he thought he was getting a title shot.
• Genre Savvy: See Brick Joke above. He explained in his #IMPACT365 video after the fact that he wasn't taking the chance after what happened last time.
• Put on a Bus: Was forced to leave in 2008 cause he got the Fired Case.
• Running Gag: Part of the rather unfunny "Christopher Daniels gets the fired case every time no matter the gimmick" gag.
• The Bus Came Back: Resurfaced in 2013 as one of Ethan Carter III's opponents and stuck around for a bit.
• Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Blue to Shark Boy's red which is odd considering he usually dresses in Red and Yellow whilst Shark Boy's main color is Blue.

D'Angelo Dinero (Elijah Burke) 「2009–2013」 「2015–2017」

• Accidental Misnaming: Calls Jeff "Cheff", and Wolfe "Roofe", among others.
• Badass Longcoat: Wore a long black one occasionally adorned with cross symbols.
• Badass Preacher: He's a Harlem street preacher.
• Big Applesauce: D'Angelo Dinero is billed from Harlem, even though Elijah Burke is from Florida, because god forbid you have a street preacher or a pimp that isn't from New York.
• Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: As a heel.
• Catchphrase:
  "Pope...is...pimping!"
  "Pope has spoken!"
• Demoted to Extra
• Expy: For awhile, TNA seemed to be booking him how Sting was booked in WCW. His promo style contains a good deal of Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, and the Rock mixed in also.
  • He also inspired one notable Expy of his own, in the form of none other than Kazuchika Okada—who, upon his return to New Japan, adopted a similarly cocky, obscenely-rich persona, complete with fake money falling from the ceiling during his entrance.
• Eye Patch Of Power: Courtesy of AJ Styles.
• He's Back!:
  • After disappearing from TV for several months, he made his return to television on the 6/14/12 edition of Impact as a participant in the Bound For Glory Series. Unfortunately, he was eliminated early from the Series, due to injury.
  • After being released from the company following his injury and doing his own thing as an independent, he returned in 2015 to fill in at commentary when Taz left and Josh Mathews needed a partner. He was later made Mathews' permanent partner.
• Inspector Javert: He really, really didn't trust Mr. Anderson. Anderson proved him wrong. Conversely, Samoa Joe really, really didn't trust him. He proved Joe right; they hated each other.
• Irony: Remember the 2011-2012 feud where he tried to corrupt Devon's sons? Bet he was wishing he could take that back when someone's new crew beat him down about 8-9 months later in what turned out to be his final appearance as a wrestler in TNA.
• Large Ham: He's taken his preacher background to heart.
• Money Song: A cross between a rap song and a gospel revival number. It's pretty awesome.
• Mr. Vice Guy: He's implied to be a bit of a womanizer and can be a bit of a jerk, but when he's an honest face he's one of the purer folks TNA has. It helps that his real personality veers more toward the "honest face" bit.
• The Nicknamer: As a commentator, is pretty fond of testing out Red Barons on certain talents. So far the two that have stuck are the Bearded Terror for Eric Young (though World Class Maniac is still more prevalent) and the Tenth Wonder of the World for Awesome Kong.
• Put on a Bus: His contract expired while he was still injured.
• Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: As a former boxer, when the Pope punches you, he punches you really, really fast.
• Red Baron: "The Pope".
• Sharp-Dressed Man: Not just a pope, but a pimp, too.
• Sinister Minister: Heel.
• Smug Snake: Heel, he'll go into the ring and forgive you for all your transgressions with one of the biggest, phoniest grins ever.
• Took a Level in Badass: Upon debuting in TNA, in contrast to his former run in WWE.
• Verbal Tic: Daddy, oddly enough.

Suicide/Manik (currently Mason Burnett) (Suicide formerly Frank Gerdelman, Daniel Covell, Akira Kawabata, TJ Perkins, and Jonathan Gresham) (Manik formerly TJ Perkins) 「2008–2011」 「2013–2016」 「2016-present」

• Adaptational Wimp: In the video game's story mode, Suicide starts by winning the World Heavyweight Championship, and after his beatdown from LAX and return under the player's created persona, he goes on to win the World Tag Team titles with Eric Young, then the X Division title before finally winning the World Heavyweight title again at the end. As an actual wrestler, Suicide is a 2-time X Division Champion, but compared to completing a TNA Triple Crown, that's still a step down.
• Building Swing: The idea was there, at least, in his first couple appearances, where he swung in on a rope to attack the Motor City Machine Guns.
• Brass Balls: The character is all about being willing to risk himself to get a victory, even moreso than other X-Division wrestlers.
• Combination Attack: An unintentional one against with Low Ki against DJ Z when Manik had the latter in a reverse Indian death lock while the former was kicking him in the chest. Manik eventually grabbed Low Ki and gave him a northern lights suplex, while DJ Z was still locked up.
• Cool Mask: Though James Storm doesn't like or understand why he keeps wearing a mask after his face and identity have been revealed, he decides Manik can stay masked, so long as it's one of his choosing.
• Dark Is Not Evil: Surprisingly, he's never willingly been a heel. The closest came when he was kidnapped and presumably brainwashed into joining The Revolution.
• Distressed Dude: No one seemed too concerned when James Storm and Sanada kidnapped him.
• Groin Attack: One of Suicide's signature attack is smashing his opponent's forehead against the second turnbuckle, or when someone is interfering his match, he would smash his opponent's forehead against the other man's nuts. This does not result in DQ because the interfering party is not officially in the match, therefore a low blow against them is not prohibited.
• '90s Anti-Hero: A *very* late-to-the-party one, as he debuted in 2008. But with his uber-edgy name, skull motif, and brooding tendencies (at least when he *does* speak), he would've fit right in on the pages of an early Image Comics issue.
• One-Man Army: Jay Lethal, Consequences Creed and The Motor City Machine Guns all worked together to beat him and still could not do it.
• Parts Unknown: Was billed from there.
• Put on a Bus: Until they find someone else to portray him, presumably.
• The Bus Came Back: In May 2013.

  • Back on the bus in early 2016 as TNA let TJ Perkins' contract run out.
  • Taken out of mothballs for a One Night Only PPV several months after Perkins' departure, then again later in the year.

• Refugee from TV Land: Is supposedly an original character from a TNA video game brought to life. His name change, his portrayal by several different wrestlers before Perkins was revealed as the "official" him, and James Storm's desire to give him a makeover, all make more sense when we remember he's basically a create-a-wrestler. Reverted to this and the original Suicide gimmick after Perkins' departure.
• Suddenly Voiced: Thanks to James Storm, so he can have another mouthpiece for his "Revolution". Seemingly dropped upon Perkins' departure, as Manik was reverted back to Suicide.
• You Look Familiar: Suicide has interacted with wrestlers who previously portrayed him multiple times, including Christopher Daniels having to prove he wasn't behind the mask once Frankie Kazarian returned to the role and tag-teaming with TJ Perkins, who suited up as Manik again for the occasion.

Cody Deaner/Deaner (Christopher Gray) 「2009」 「2018–present」

• Battle Couple: With ODB in his first run with TNA.
• The Bus Came Back: Returned to the promotion in 2018, albeit making occasional appearances before rejoining full time in March 2019, which also made the official debut of Cousin Jake.
• Deep South: His previous gimmick was a Canadian version of the trope before joining VBD.
• Face–Heel Turn: Betrayed Cousin Jake (later rechristened as Jake Something) and joined Violent by Design.
• Klingon Promotion: Became the new leader of Violent by Design (renamed The Design) after killing Eric Young as a way to "Eliminate the sickness".
• Only One Name: After joining VBD, he now refers himself as Deaner.
• Power Stable: Violent by Design, led by Eric Young, and later, himself, rechristening it The Design.
• Tag Team: Previously with Cousin Jake in his current run, as The Deaners.

Rob Terry/The Freak/Robbie T (Robert Terry) 「2009–2015」

• Cool Mask: As part of the Menagerie, he wears a steel mask not dissimilar to one Kane used to wear.
• Muscles Are Meaningful: Often cited as the worst member of the TNA roster, who should have been let go long ago. Kept on to play "enforcer with big muscles" to a variety of stables (The British Invasion, World Elite, The Shore, and now The Menagerie), and seemingly constantly believeable through all of that for nearly six years.
• One-Steve Limit: Averted with his one-time bro Robbie E.
  • Rob Van Dam and Robert Roode were both on the roster at the time, making for a total of four Roberts on the roster.
• Red Baron: The Freak.
  • Robbie T.
• Underwear of Power: Though the freak is the circus strongman, making this less odd on him than even the other wrestlers.

Tomko (Travis David Tomko) 「2006–2008」 「2010」

• Bald of Evil: Though veered occasionally into the good side territory before his Heel–Face Door-Slam.
• Bodyguard Betrayal: Against Christian in 2008. Didn't kill him, of course, as this is wrestling, but cost him his (second-to-)last ever TNA world title shot.
• The Comically Serious: To Christian and AJ.
• Dude, Where's My Respect?:
  • Betrayed Christian in 2008 because Christian had promised that he'd become a big time star if he stuck with him yet it wasn't happening fast enough for his liking so he decided to take his chances with Big Bad Kurt Angle.
  • Attacked AJ for weeks in late 2009-early 2010 after having seemingly patched up their alliance off-screen because AJ didn't return a couple of phone calls after winning the title.
• Even Evil Has Standards: When Robert Roode berated his assistant at the time Traci Brooks for supporting Kazarian, claiming that he owned her, Tomko got right in Roode's face and shoved him down across the ring. This is despite the fact that Tomko had just beaten Kaz in a match, and Roode was at that point an occasional ally of Christian's Coalition, of which Tomko was a member. Ms. Brooks and the audience were very pleased with Tomko as he walked away.
  • This only made it more jarring when he went after Karen Angle as part of his job as Kurt's Sociopathic Soldier.
• Noodle Incident: His apparent past with Abyss as a prison guard.
• Put on a Bus: In summer 2008, though it did stop once as he took part in a challenge Kevin Nash had set up for Samoa Joe.
• The Bus Came Back: For a feud with AJ Styles at the end of 2009, which was cut short when Hogan and co. arrived. He was soon put back on the bus for good.
• The Quiet One: He could talk, but his voice was low and had a drawl, plus he's better at being scary-looking, so his teammates tended to do more of the talking.
• Red Baron: The "Man of Principles". He was mostly called this backstage, however, since on-screen he generally worked as a heel.
• Red Oni, Blue Oni: Often had to calm his Coalition teammates down when they were in rages (mostly Christian).
• Rewarded as a Traitor Deserves: Prior to betraying Christian and AJ, Tomko was becoming incredibly popular with the fans. After joining Kurt Angle to become a bigger star, his stock ironically plummeted.
• Sociopathic Soldier: For Kurt Angle after turning on AJ Styles.
• Straight Man: Made an art form of shaking his head at some of the things his allies said or did (mostly AJ).
• The Stoic: Often stood behind Kurt or Christian and/or beside AJ with his arms either folded or rested on his hips, eyeing the audience or whoever their enemies were like his next prey.
• Tattooed Crook: Known for his tribal back and shoulder tattoos as much as anything else appearance-wise.
• Took a Level in Jerkass: He cemented his place among Kurt's collective of "bad guys" with such acts as taking pride in bloodying AJ, helping shoot Christian through a glass table, and harassing Karen on her own talk show.

Douglas Williams (Douglas Durdle) 「2008」 「2010–2013」 「2014」

• The Ace: He can match AJ Styles move for move and then get the better of him, he qualifies.
• Archenemy: The X-Division, who he insinuates states loudly is a league of Spot Monkeys.
• Foreign Wrestling Heel: Fits this trope much better than Desmond as he actively hates American style aerial wrestling, as opposed to his European style.
• Hypocrite: As much as he talks about the glory of ground and pound wrestling, he's started using a Tornado DDT.
  • Justified in that he didn't use the X-Division flyers' own medicine on them until that one point in the match where it became a finishing blow.
• Put on a Bus: Hasn't been appearing that often very much anymore as he's been working and training wrestlers in OVW as he's a trainer there now.
  • Officially removed from the TNA roster in June 2013.
• Suplex Finisher: Chaos Theory, which is a roll-through into a German Suplex.

• Clark Kenting: His well-dressed "professional guy" appearance when presenting himself backstage, in contrast to his unkempt look in the leather cut and jeans of Aces & Eights.
• Put on a Bus: Four months after the dissolution of the Aces & Eights, he was let go due to budget cuts.
• Sanity Slippage: Seemed to go through a low-grade case of this in order to stand out and prove himself amongst his clubhouse brethren, becoming more aggressive in the ring and more eccentric and blunt in promo segments.
• Wrestling Family: His father is Gerald Brisco, and his uncle is the legendary Jack Brisco.

Crimson/Mayweather (Anthony Mayweather) 「2010–2012」 「2013」 「2015」 「2017–2018」

• Big Little Brother: Introduced to TNA by Amazing Red as this. Because of this he was initially dubbed Little Red before the official name came out Crimson. Was eventually retconned when he returned to Impact using his real name and history as a soldier, though since he says he doesn't know his father, the "long-lost half-brothers" route could still be taken to preserve this if he and Red ever return at the same time…
• Dark Is Not Evil: Despite looking like a vampire, Crimson was fighting Immortal.
• Expy: TNA seemed intent on making him the next Goldberg.
• Genius Bruiser: In addition to being very big and strong, he totally pwned Jarrett at submission grappling.
• Good Is Not Nice: As a face Crimson spends a lot of time beating people up.
• Ironic Echo: Shortly after his debut, he says 'They are coming', right after taking out Abyss with his own weapon. Those are the very same words Abyss said preceeding the arrival of Immortal, only this time Red is refering to Fortune performing a collective Heel–Face Turn.
• Law of Chromatic Superiority: He was the first person that terrorized Immortal, he lodged Abyss's own weapon into his back.
• Meaningful Name: Crimson has red hair.
  • He was Amazing Red's Darker and Edgier brother, crimson is a darker red.
• Non-Indicative Name: Was initially dubbed Little Red before the Crimson name was revealed. It's a reference to being Red's Big Little Brother.
• Put on a Bus: Shipped to OVW.
  • The Bus Came Back for a short time, then he was put back on it and out of the company. Then it came back again in 2017 as part of the Veterans of War tag team with Wilcox.
• Red Baron: Literally, since forming a stable in OVW. The Red Baron of Ruthless Reconnaissance.
• Unrelated Brothers: To Amazing Red.

• Real Men Wear Pink: As part of the BroMans.

• Small Name, Big Ego: Thinks he's a major Hollywood superstar. Apparently Tara did too.
• Theatrics of Pain: Sells moves much harder than such a big man has business doing.

Gunner (Chad Lail) 「2010–2012」 「2013–2015」

• Ascended Extra: Was first seen as a part of a duo of security guards around the Impact Zone, until the heel Immortal stable decided to use them more and more in the ring. Gunner stuck around, his character transitioned into a proper wrestler and he even became Ric Flair's last TNA protégé.
• Blood Knight: One thing you can't question is what Gunner would be willing to do when he's dedicated himself to a cause, whether that be winning championships, defending a group, or destroying a hated enemy.
• The Brute: For Immortal.
• Corrupt Cop: Became this in his initial run as a security guard thanks to the Hogan and Bischoff takeover.
• Hard Head: He shrugged off having a cage door slammed into it by James Storm.
• Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Gunner's the one who decided to take Samuel Shaw out of the insane asylum for a second chance. Shaw ended up betraying Gunner at Brittany's urging.
• Put on a Bus: First to OVW for most of the year after Immortal. Then again in 2015 when creative had nothing for him after his feud with Samuel Shaw.
• The Bus Came Back: The first one did, anyway, when he returned before Slammiversary 2013 as James Storm's partner.
• Underwear of Power: After ditching the security gig.

("Broken") Matt Hardy (Matthew Moore Hardy) 「2011」 「2014–2017」

• Dumbass DJ: Was this for the Bro-Mans.
• Jerkass: Showed no remorse over his actions during his heel run. To note, said actions include paralyzing Jesse Sorensen from the neck down and "taking out" the entire X-Division.
• It's All About Me: As a heel.
• Red Baron: That Yung Go-Hard.

Rampage Jackson (Quinton Ramone Jackson) 「2013」

• Aborted Arc: Aside from the initial confrontation and agreement to a future match with Kurt Angle, the 2013 rivalry and buildup to his Bellator MMA fight with Tito Ortiz was tied into the Aces & Eights vs. Main Event Mafia feud via Ortiz' betrayal after Jackson joined the Mafia. No payoff ever came of either angle because…
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: Bellator had him and Tito Ortiz pulled from TNA programming so they wouldn't get injured prior to their fight and be forced to cancel. Didn't work out so well as far as Tito goes.
• The Dreaded: If Tito's had that reputation ahead of time, then this guy definitely did.
• Friendly Enemy Mine: His first major storyline with the company saw him become one of intended future rival Kurt Angle's Main Event Mafia brothers to combat the Aces & Eights.
• Establishing Character Moment: Got in Kurt Angle's face upon his debut.
• Put on a Bus: Noteable in that he put himself on the bus after the Aborted Arc and Real Life Writes the Plot examples above, because he disagreed with how management at the time was running things.
• Sharp-Dressed Man: As a member of the Main Event Mafia, though he had it in a military fatigue design as part of his "Street Soldier" image.
• The Unfought: Never actually got into a match. See Aborted Arc and Real Life Writes the Plot above.

Jackson James/Garett Bischoff (Garett Bischoff) 「2010–2013」

• Easily-Distracted Referee: Whenever Immortal needed it.
• Fragile Speedster: Aside from his initial push, he was usually the fall guy in tag team matches and stable feuds.
• Obfuscating Stupidity: As a referee under the name "Jackson James". Made ridiculous mistakes (in Immortal's favour, of course) and people assumed it was just because he was new to the refereeing business.
• Smug Snake: Has inherited his father's smugness ever since he was revealed as a member of Aces & Eights.
• Wrestling Family: His father is Eric Bischoff.

Orlando Jordan (Orlando Mason Jordan) 「2010–2011」

• Black Comedy Rape: Or maybe just really Narmy Rape as Drama.
• Where da White Women At?: Subverted. His victims were pretty exclusively white, but only because 95% of Impact is white at any given period. The Pope, one of TNA's few black men in recent years, was actually one of his most frequent targets.

Mike Knoxx/Knux (Michael Hettinga) 「2012–2015」

• The Brute: One of several with Aces & Eights.
• Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": The name Knux was presented as a clubhouse nickname created by Aces And Eights.
• Writing Around Trademarks: This was done so TNA wouldn't have to keep referencing his original name, Mike Knox(x). Said original name has been relegated to Canon Name status at best since.
• Heel–Face Turn / Character Development: Started as a member of the heelish Aces And Eights, becomes the founder of The Menagerie as a babyface. There was even a backstory surrounding this change which made perfect sense.
• Lightning Bruiser: For a man of his size and girth, Knux is extremely athletic. He even managed to impress Austin Aries when they squared off one-on-one a couple years after the armbreaking.
• Misery Builds Character: Part of his motivation for forming the stable. The other is their need to raise money for their carnival back home.
• Red Baron: Was briefly known as the Armbreaker while masked during Aces & Eights, shortly after having broken Austin Aries' arm.
• Spell My Name With An S / Xtreme Kool Letterz: His character's original surname "Knox" had a second X added to it before coming to TNA.
• Wrestling Doesn't Pay: Subverted with the Menagerie. They're a wrestling traveling circus…but it's the wrestling part that pays for the circus part.

Dr. Stevie Richards (Michael Manna) 「2009–2011」

Robbie E (Rob Strauss) 「2010–2017」

• No Celebrities Were Harmed: Acts like the cast of Jersey Shore.
• The Artifact: Now that Jersey Shore's been canceled. But that isn't important now, as he's fit rather snugly well in as a legit competitor and has become the resident occasionally-Lethal Joke Character.
• Lethal Joke Character: That Jersey Shore parody who's long outstayed both the show itself and his welcome? He's only a TNA heavyweight title reign away from being only the fifth Grand Slam champion in TNA history. And just prior to the Destination America relaunch he actually started talking about it—though since then he's been utterly worfed by Brooke.
• Not-So-Harmless Villain: Usually a Jobber, Robbie has won the X Division title, the Television title, defeated Jeff Hardy (via countout), and is now one-half of a damn good Tag Team Championship duo… with fellow Joke Character Jessie Godderz.
• One-Steve Limit: Averted with his one-time bro Robbie T, aka Rob Terry.
• Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: He's afraid of clowns, if Crazzy Steve is an indication.

Samuel "Sam" Shaw 「2010」 「2012–2015」 「2017」

• Ascended Extra: His 2010 appearances included such one-shot roles as a masked Hardcore Justice assailant named Lupus and an unknown member of Jeff Jarrett's entourage back when Jarrett was pretending to be an MMA fighter.
• Don't You Dare Pity Me!: All Brittany had to say to turn Samuel Shaw against Gunner was that Gunner saw Shaw not as a friend, but as a charity case.
• Driven to Suicide: Tried to kill himself after Hemme initially rejected his advances. Which later lead to a straightjacket being put on him.
• Green-Eyed Monster: After Christy Hemme decided they should keep things professional, he would become insanely jealous at any man that looked at or talked to her. This got him in serious trouble with Mr. Anderson, who stood up for Hemme and then conspired with her to get him committed to a mental hospital.
• Incest Subtext: It was heavily implied between him and his mother. His mother is a creepy redheaded woman named Christy, thus also implying that was why he was obsessed with Hemme.
• Irritation Is the Sincerest Form of Flattery: From wearing Gunner's field uniform to getting tattoos in imitation of Gunner's? Gunner asked him if he ever tried being himself, only for Shaw to accuse him of not caring enough.
• Red Baron: The Creepy Bastard.
• Three Month Rule: When he first met Christy Hemme he lived in his own apartment, but after he started feuding with Mr. Anderson he lived in his mother's house. Became really glaring when promo vignettes involving Shaw's storylines actually showed scenes from both locations.
• Ungrateful Bastard: Gunner got him out of the empty white room and straitjacket, giving him a second chance at life. Then he thanked Gunner by turning on him as soon as Brittany got into his ear about Gunner viewing him as a "charity case". This trope applies to both Shaw himself and to Brittany, who would've never had the chance to get with him were it not for what Gunner did.

Jesse Sorensen (Jessy Ryan Sorensen) 「2011–2013」

• Game-Breaking Injury: Suffered a injury at Against All Odds to Zema Ion that put him on the shelf for the better part of a year. He quit active wrestling so he wouldn't be at risk again, and started working backstage.
• Jerk Jock: Averted despite being a former High School QB and often seen carrying a football around, he's one of the nicer guys around.
• Put on a Bus: Was moved backstage, he was officially removed from the TNA roster in June 2013. Then was let go from TNA not long after due to budget cost.

• Power Stable: SUBCULTURE, with Flash Morgan Webster and Dani Luna, which was formed during the time they were in NXT UK.

• Parts Unknown: Occasionally billed as "from the merchandise stand", which was his usual job.
• Squash Match: Invariably on the receiving end of one of these.

Mike Bennett (Michael Bennett) 「2016–2017」 「2022」

Jay Bradley/Aiden O'Shea (Bradley Thomas) 「2013–2014」 「2015–2017」

• Fighting Irish: In his return as Aiden O'Shea.
• Finishing Move: The Boomstick, a simple lariat, which can appear more effective depending on who sells it.
  • Could also be a case of Name of Power.
• Put on a Bus: To Japan, and apparently left there.
• The Bus Came Back: As Aiden O'Shea.
  • And then bussed back out again as he quietly left with Billy Corgan.

Bram (Thomas Latimer) 「2014–2017」

• Arch-Enemy: First Abyss, then Magnus, and now TNA history. Eventually acknowledged that he hates everyone.
• But for Me, It Was Tuesday: How he and the reinvigorated Magnus apparently view Monster's Ball matches. Just ask Willow and Abyss.
• Characterization Marches On: After taking a beating from Decay for rejecting Rosemary (again), he turned up months later having cleaned himself up and joined forces with James Storm and Kingston in the Death Crew Council.
• Chewing the Scenery: Good God, when he falls into a rage…
• Chronic Backstabbing Disorder via Hair-Trigger Temper: His claim to hate everyone isn't without merit, as he will end an alliance as quickly as it began in response to some slight or offense.
  • When Magnus came through the back door and took a Feast or Fired briefcase that Bram had his hands on, he declared Magnus his enemy and even when the case he got turned out to be for the tag titles he betrayed Magnus rather than accept their friendship.
  • When Eric Young tried to leave the company and take the TNA King of the Mountain title with him, Bram instantly deemed Young a coward and ended their alliance, challenging and beating EY for the title to send him out of TNA empty-handed.
  • He and Eddie Kingston lost their temper with James Storm as soon as The Cowboy started making singles entrances again, leading very shortly to the end of the Death Crew Council.
• Continuity Nod: Eventually the DCC went after Decay, with Bram revealing he hadn't forgotten what Decay did to him and in fact joined DCC for the opportunity to get revenge.
• Dare to Be Badass: The initial phase of his storyline with Magnus was all about him delivering a heel version of this as a response to Magnus' Badass Decay since becoming Dixie's champion.
• Disproportionate Retribution / Revenge Before Reason: Got so upset with best mate Magnus swiping the Feast or Fired briefcase he was close to getting^note with only Gunner's pull in his way until Magnus came in with a Tower of Doom spot that even when the case turned out to be for a tag team title shot and Magnus assured Bram he wanted him as his partner, Bram tried to take him out and end his career for it.
• Garbage Wrestler: The self proclaimed "King of Hardcore".
• Green-Eyed Monster / The Resenter: Mickie called him out as this, saying that the truth behind his reasoning for his betrayal of Magnus is that Bram is secretly jealous because Magnus has more to show for himself as a man than Bram ever will. Even if she's wrong, his palpable rage and envy over Magnus for taking an opportunity and getting the briefcase he thought was his plants him firmly into this trope.

• Irrational Hatred: Towards Magnus. You're his best mate, you better not get anything for yourself in life—like a family, or responsibilities outside of drunken bar fighting escapades, or bragging rights to an opportunity that benefits you both.
• Took a Level in Jerkass: Outright hates Magnus' fiancée Mickie James, blaming her along with her and Magnus' son for Magnus turning "soft" instead of remaining the sadistic brute of their childhood days like he did. He even captured her and threatened to assault her in order to force Magnus to kiss his feet.
• Unreliable Narrator: If Magnus' entire career in TNA is any indication, he'd grown out of the "ultra-violent" phase kayfabe-wise since before he started in the company, let alone met Mickie, so any claim that she's responsible for this falls on deaf ears to continuity.

• Boring, but Practical: Subverted on the boring part, as he's a good enough athlete to get at least one impressive attack in any given match, but his focus is far more on battering his opponent than on showing off.
• Canon Immigrant: A carryover from Jeff Jarrett's failed Global Force Wrestling invasion of 2015, he impressed TNA management enough for them to bring him back in for additional work.
• Evil Mentor: He and Everett have in Everett's case, HAD one in Gregory Shane Helms.
• Jack of All Stats: He's got a decent high flying game, an aggressive brawling streak, explosive quickness, deceptive strength—yep, he qualifies.
• Loners Are Freaks: Not to the extent that hate machines or carnival horrors are, given that Gregory Shane Helms is willing to mentor him, but he doesn't care much about socializing and hanging out with people and he has a crude, caveman-ish appearance and style. In this business, though, it's not to his detriment.
• Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Despite looking like a skinny caveman he is capable of doing power moves to guys bigger than he is. If you're smaller than him, prepare to be manhandled.
• Red Baron: The Carolina Caveman, The Technical Savage.
• Wild Hair: The bun in the back is the only evidence of any grooming or maintenance of either his mane or beard.

• Deadpan Snarker: Part of his "No BS" personality is that when a heel is saying or doing something delusional or absurd, he won't hesitate to say so.
• Fun with Acronyms: Braxton Sutter, though it's been used to emphasize that his character is about "No BS".
• Henpecked Husband: Was this to Laurel Van Ness, largely because he didn't even want to be her boyfriend but had to go along with it so Maria Kanellis wouldn't destroy Allie's career.
• Sadistic Choice: Break Allie's heart by dating one of her evil superiors, or watch said superiors kill her career before it can get going. What to do, what to do…? Eventually sided with Allie.
• Wouldn't Hit a Girl: Despite his loyalty to Allie, he won't even brush past Maria and her friends when they try to keep him away from her.

Davey Richards (Wesley David Richards) 「2014–2017」

• Animal Motifs: Wolves, shared with his former partner Eddie Edwards and, once she became part of his act, his then-wife Angelina Love.
• Dark Is Not Evil: Was the main contributor to the darkness of the Wolves as a duo.
• Face–Heel Turn: He and Angelina betrayed Eddie and Alisha by attacking them to cost Eddie his chance to get back the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from Lashley, feeling as though Eddie didn't do enough to keep in touch with Davey while he was injured.
• Good Is Not Nice: Even as a babyface, his promos and facial expressions combined with the wolf motif makes him comes off as a vicious warrior with a purpose.
• Large Ham: Very capable of this when speaking. This and Eddie's awkwardness on the mic is why he usually handled the promo department.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: Wanted his last feud before he took off from wrestling to be with his best friend.
• Sickeningly Sweethearts: With Angelina Love, before both left the company.

The Great Sanada (Seiya Sanada) 「2014–2015」

• The Ace: Can do fast, high flying stuff as well as various suplexes, including bridging suplex finishers, and he even has a submission finish.
  • Broken Ace: Has become this due to interpreting The Great Muta's endorsement as great pressure, causing him to eventually turn against Muta after a losing streak. James Storm didn't do him any favors by piling on and calling both him and Muta losers constantly.
• Anti-Villain: As a heel, he's not really a bad person, he just found a string of bad luck, lost his X-Division title for the first time since coming to TNA, and got broken down by an opportunistic outlaw looking to start a revolution.
• Broken Pedestal: Views The Great Muta this way after James Storm's breaking speeches finally got to him, causing him to make a Face–Heel Turn by betraying his own mentor. Subverted as there's no evidence that Sanada's short string of losses ever caused Muta to look at him differently. The story mainly portrays Muta's encouragement and endorsement of Sanada as giving him undue pressure to succeed, though this seems to reflect Sanada's slowly-crumbling mindset about it more than anything else.
• Establishing Character Moment: Won the X-Division Championship from Austin Aries even before his TNA debut, then at said debut had an amazing PPV six-man tag with The Great Muta and fellow Wrestle-1 star Yasu Nakanoue against Bad Influence and Chris Sabin where he nailed his precision moonsault to pin Christopher Daniels.
• Put on a Bus: And took the Wrestle-1 partnership with him, as it ended at the same time.

Mahabali Shera/Khoya (Amanpreet Singh) 「2014–present」

• Canon Immigrant: A carryover from one-season sister promotion Ring Ka King.
• Initiation Ceremony: Whatever it was it resulted in his being renamed Khoya.
• Meaningful Rename: Khoya means "lost", representing his pre-Storm lack of identity in TNA. Commentators have played up how this constitutes disrespect to his culture on the part of Storm.
• The Dog Bites Back: Eventually got enough of James Storm's abuse for losing matches and decided to stand up and fight back against him. This became the undoing of Storm's Revolution, since Manik was his friend and Abyss slowly came to see how ridiculous Storm's antics were getting.

Crazzy Steve (Steve Scott) 「2014–2017」 「2020-present」

• Abhorrent Admirer: To any attractive Knockouts in the opposing corner from his—usually The Beautiful People. It's been Played for Laughs.
• Depraved Bisexual: Implied in Decay, where he is entirely overly affectionate with both Rosemary and Abyss.
• Evil Laugh: Until 2016, he never spoke, only laughed.
• Face–Heel Turn: Happened off-screen when he reconnected with Rosemary, who in truth has been his friend for nearly a decade.^note Discussed during a kayfabe interview with members of the TNAsylum fan column website.
• Handicapped Badass: He's legally blind.
• Hidden Depths: When he actually gets to wrestling instead of fooling around with people he can be pretty potent. No longer hidden as of Decay.
• Non-Ironic Clown: The Menagerie was accompanied by two, huge, scary clowns. Steve's about as non threatening as a wrestler can be though, provided you don't simply have an inherent fear of clowns like one of the Bro-mans.
• Monster Clown: Turned into this as part of Decay with Rosemary and Abyss.
• Shout-Out: As part of Decay, he had a bright red cross as part of his makeup and continually laughed, making him resemble one of the Crossed.

Ultimate Tiger/Tigre Uno (real name unknown) 「2014–2016」

• Bridal Carry: Carries Gail Kim this way back into the ring after landing a crossbody on her in their match during the World Title Series.
• Expy: A cheapened example that TNA hasn't capitalized on even while pushing him, but as a veteran of Dragon Door Project with a tiger gimmick, he's automatically one to both Tiger Mask and Último Dragón.
• Fragile Speedster: Most of his arsenal involves flying and flipping around, but he's positively tiny.
• Put on a Bus: A weird case of it where he wasn't even informed he was getting on the bus in the first place and only found out close to a year afterward.
• Secret Identity: Like many a Mexican Masked Luchador before him.
• Wouldn't Hit a Girl: At first played straight during his match with Gail Kim, where he is seen pleading with the crowd for the first few minutes of their match. He eventually allows himself to fight back and land a few moves on her, even picking up the win.

• Lightning Bruiser: He may be a Heavyweight but he does fly like a Cruiserweight.
• Red Baron: He's called The Machine and Swoleverine.
• Signature Move: Pick a variation of the powerbomb and he'll have used it by the end of the match.

• Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Willie Mack.
• 10-Minute Retirement: He temporarily retired from wrestling when the doctors found out that he suffered a knee injury in Slammiversary 2020 at the hands of Eric Young with a steel chair. It took weeks to have his knee recovered and having him medically cleared to compete so Scott D'Amore approves him for the championship match. This didn't stop Eric Young from attacking Swann constantly in the injured knee until he wins the Impact World Heavyweight Championship at Bound for Glory 2020.

Willie Mack 「2018–2022」

• Acrofatic: HOLY CRAP, is he ever! We're talking about a guy with the looks and physique of the Junkyard Dog and the skills and speed of Shawn Michaels! The guy can use the ropes as well as any luchador and yet can still hit hard as well.
• Finishing Move: A stunner.
• Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Rich Swann.
• Put on a Bus: Left Impact Wrestling in 2022 when his contract got expired.
• Lightning Bruiser: Ridiculously fast and agile for his weight, but he STILL has that weight to throw around.

Josh Alexander (Joshua Lemay) 「2018–present」

• The Ace: As the current top face of TNA Wrestling, he's a full package who can do all the wrestling styles: Technical, High Flyer, Brawler and Powerhouse.

• Face–Heel Turn: However, this change doesn't last long as of the March 10, 2022 episode of Impact when he attacked Rhyno with Eddie Edwards' kendo stick and reverts himself back as a Heel.

• Achievements in Ignorance: She managed to become Knockouts champion without even knowing it.
• Ascended Extra: Initially appeared a few times as a jobber or ONO Knockouts Knockdown contestant prior to signing a contract in 2016, most notably to Gail Kim and the Dollhouse.
• Character Development: Maria's annoyingly-mousy personal assistant has grown enough of a spine that she's now gone from a helpless novice to being able to stand fearlessly with or against the same demon her previous self actually awakened.
• Darker and Edgier: After seeing her best friend Rosemary apparently killed by Su Yung and her undead bridesmaids, Allie gives into the darkness and snaps, becoming angry and vengeful during her match with Su at Under Pressure. Post this match, she's regained her mostly cheerful and friendly demeanor, but is significantly more serious and focused than before. Her ring attire has also changed from pink to black.
• Died in Your Arms Tonight: Allie died on Rosemary's arms and vanished to Bunny Heaven after having her throat slashed by Su Yung.
• The Dog Bites Back: Or at least tried. Problem is, she was still under contract to Maria, so she still got kicked back down very frequently. Until Braxton Sutter finally cut the bullshit by saying no to Laurel and revealing all the Lady Squad's blackmail, at which point he and Allie bit back so hard it crushed the Squad.
• Expy: Became a Buffy Summers Expy in her feud with Rosemary in the indies, even coming out to the show's theme song and being referred to as "the Demon Slayer".
• Face–Heel Turn: By the consequences by selling her soul Father Mitchell to save Rosemary in a Be Careful What You Wish For situation, Allie begin acting in a strange heel manner for weeks after Bound For Glory 2018. What that price was and it was indeed handing over her soul to “the Devil himself”, as Allie has now joined the Legion of Su Yung, taking out her former ally Keira Hogan and leaving with The Undead Bride.
• Freak Out: Has one leading up to Under Pressure in May 2018 after seeing Rosemary taken out by Su Yung.
• Kick Chick: Two of her big power moves are the "Kickass Dropkick" - drop-kicking a opponent who's bent over in the corner up the backside, sending them crashing into the ring post - and a superkick she calls the B.S.E. - Best Superkick Ever.
• Kick the Dog: Maria forced her to give up the Knockouts title. Then started frequently bullying and humiliating her. Then wouldn't even let her have a boyfriend or a wrestling coach. She and Braxton eventually said to hell with them.
• No Indoor Voice: Her incredibly high-pitched mousy voice is clearly meant to invoke this. It's been slightly toned down since her Heel–Face Turn.
• Killed Off for Real: At the culmination of Dark War saw Allie shoving Rosemary aside by Taking the Bullet after she was distracted by Kevin Sullivan and ends up with her throat slashed by Su Yung's bladed glove a la Freddy Krueger of Nightmare on Elm Street. In real life, Allie ended her contract with Impact Wrestling after her character's on-screen death.
• Odd Friendship: Very much so with Rosemary. A hyperactive cheerful girl with a bunny motif in her graphics and a maniac in face paint who calls herself the Demon Assassin.^note Accounting for the backstory of their relationship in Canada when Allie was known as Cherry Bomb and how it actually started Rosemary's transformation into that demonic persona adds yet another element to this.
• Pet the Dog: Received this from the fans when they chanted her name after she took a baton to the head for the Knockouts Championship. This was the beginning of her going from Maria's annoying town crier to an endearing kid-like (but not childish) babyface.
• Professional Butt-Kisser: As Maria's apprentice. Tended to backfire when Maria was angry at something because she didn't know when to stop. Since winning the Knockouts title and being forced to give it up it did nothing but backfire, and she eventually had enough.
• Token Good Teammate: In the Lady Squad, she was more like somewhere between this and an indentured servant.
• Took a Level in Badass: Her "Demon × Bunny" partnership with Rosemary has seen her gain a much more serious personality over time. The true level was turning up in Rosemary's demonic face paint at Under Pressure and causing Su Yung to flip her shit. She put on a hell of a fight, too.

Marti Bell (Martibel Payano) 「2015–2016」

• Butt-Monkey: Was usually the first (and most frequent) Dollhouse member to be sacrificed as the fall girl in a fight and to be abruptly silenced in a promo segment.
• Cute and Psycho: Of course, she's part of the Dollhouse.
• Indirect Kiss: Invokes this trope for squick factor with a jawbreaker that she carries around, occasionally licks, then sticks in the mouth of fallen foes.
• Perky Female Minion: She's been this to Taryn Terrell and Awesome Kong. Averted when it came down to her and best friend Jade, as the Dollhouse broke up when Marti, Rebel, and Jade all three got a #1 contender's match against each other and Jade won.
• Spell My Name With An S: Her character surname Bell/Belle (the latter being how it's spelled in the indies).

• New Jobs As The Plot Demands: Started as wrestler but TNA had no interest in a serious women's division and lost interest in man vs woman matches, so she became a manager, then the assistant to Director of Authority Dusty Rhodes, then an interviewer, then a referee, road agent responsible for promoting TNA on other shows and scouting new talent, then it finally got a serious women's division but still had no interest in pushing Brooks so...
• Put on a Bus: She eventually came back, complaining about how TNA kept saying they had nothing for her and how she was going to take out her frustrations on the other knockouts, then disappeared again.
• Sexy Secretary: For Robert Roode, she also wore a pair of…
• The Vamp: Bobby Roode used her to seduce Eric Young into his services. It took awhile, as all subtlety went over his head though, Brooks eventually resorted to much more aggressive tactics, such ripping his clothes off.

Brittany/Santana Garrett 「2014」 「2017」

• Ambiguously Bi: Started as part of a bisexual trio (namely, the woman in Orlando Jordan's entourage) and has had some hints since, such as her storyline with Madison Rayne.
• Ascended Extra: Beyond being known for working on the independent scene (and the first One Night Only Knockouts Knockdown) under her real name, she had a prior TNA run in 2010 as the female valet for Orlando Jordan.
• Broken Pedestal: Her advice to the Impact Zone? "Never meet your heroes."
• The Cutie: Even the "remove every ugly person from the world" Beautiful People think she's cute. They still don't like her very much and used Brittany as a shield when confronted by Havok.
• Depraved Bisexual: Between her storylines with Madison Rayne and Samuel Shaw, it seems she's taken a cue from Orlando.
• Fangirl: Of Madison Rayne.
• Finishing Move: The Shining Star Press (a rope handspring moonsault).
• Girl Next Door: Very much played up as this around her debut.
• Hard Head: Subverted in TNA. Despite being known to headbutt out of desperation, an angle revolved around Madison Rayne telling her to stay away from the ring after receiving a concussion from a Beautiful People attack.

• Soundtrack Dissonance: For what basically amounts to a valet/high profile jobber/manager, "The Reign That Never Ends" is an amazing theme.
• Stalking is Love: Her "relationship" with Samuel Shaw started with her hovering around him despite his protests that he wasn't interested. Eventually he gave in and turned on Gunner for her when she accused Gunner of viewing him as a charity case rather than a friend.
• Ungrateful Bastard: Getting Shaw to turn on Gunner for her counts 100% for both her and Shaw, as Gunner is the only reason Shaw was able to get out of the mental hospital long enough for Brittany to be able to see him.
• Wrestling Family: Her father was a former wrestler.
• Woman Scorned: She got rejected by Madison Rayne.

• Blackmail: She and her Lady Squad partners extorted Braxton Sutter to be with her instead of Allie. Eventually Braxton revealed, during the wedding, upon saying "I don't" and thus rejecting Laurel completely, that the "or else" condition would be getting Allie fired.
• Fantastic Fragility: Having a history of being legitimately injured in her wrist a few times in her career, she later used that knowledge as a Fake Weakness, and it shows by betraying Mickie James with it.
• Forehead of Doom: She has a sizeable forehead, which is emphasized by her hairstyles and by her frequent usage of said forehead as a weapon.
• Happily Married: To fellow wrestler Matthew Cardona. Also a Battle Couple for Intergender Tag Team matches.
• Lady Drunk: After being rejected by Braxton Sutter, and again after being rejected by Grado.
• Meaningful Name: In the sense that Laurel Van Ness seems like a distortion of Laura Dennis, the real name of the wrestler portraying Allie.
• Red Baron: The second to use "Hot Mess" as a nickname.
• Reimagining the Artifact: In her return to Impact, Chelsea reimagines her "Hot Mess" gimmick by amalgamating her sane and insane gimmicks into one.
• Rich Bitch: Constantly makes reference to her father being some sort of Uncle Pennybags paying her way through life.
• Tag Team: With Deonna Purrazzo in VXT.
• The Bus Came Back: Returns to Impact Wrestling in Slammiversary 2021, this time under her real name of Chelsea Green.
• Use Your Head: Headbutts are a frequent part of her arsenal.
• Villainous Breakdown: At one point she was a complete disheveled mess, crying and drinking herself into a psychotic stupor ever since Braxton dumped her. She hadn't even showered or changed out of her wedding dress since then, something which Sienna lampshaded. Eventually got out of it with Grado, then back into it when he dumped her for being Canadian and thus not giving him a Visa to stay in the United States. Found something of an equilibrium after that; she's not drinking herself to death anymore, and she can actually wash and dress herself as well as compete in matches now, but the lipstick and party-hardy demeanor clearly gives away that she's not all there.

Hamada (Ayako Valentina Hamada Villareal) 「2009–2010」

• Action Girl: Which got her an invitation into World Elite, not that she took it but Hamada did give Eric Young a run for his money.
• Ambiguously Gay: Even beyond the Les Yay inherent in most Women's Divisions, Hamada seemed more than a little interested in Taylor, had expressed no attraction towards men, and dressed much more masculine than the average Knockout.
• But Not Too Foreign: Half Mexican, half Japanese, one hundred percent awesome.
• Demoted to Extra: She and Kong were stripped of the Knockout Tag Team Title because they had not defended them in thirty days, even though that statement was a bald faced lie.
• Garbage Wrestler: Her first match on Impact saw her introduce a table for the heck of it, and she kept up with these antics for quite awhile.
• Lady of War: Well, sort of. She was the most reserved and conservative of the knockouts (okay, Saeed may have been more conservative but was not reserved in any sense of the word). That may just be to the fact she did not get a ton of focus. Hamada did show some tendencies to go overboard in matches but that never seemed to be reflected in anything she did when not competing.
• Last-Name Basis: For some reason it wasn't considered there are quite a few "Hamadas" in wrestling, herself related to some of them.
• Made of Iron: Was probably the toughest Knockout in the company at the time she left.
• Odd Couple: Her and Taylor.
• Perpetual Frowner: Rarely smiles.
• Put on a Bus: She left the promotion after being stripped of a title belt, again.
• The Quiet One: Since she doesn't speak much English.
• Religious Bruiser: She can occasionally be seen knelt in prayer when not wrestling.
• She Cleans Up Nicely: Ayako Hamada is pretty hot when she relaxes and quits looking so scary.
• The Stoic: In most TNA matches, she's known for yelling a fair bit in Mexico.
• Use Your Head: Grab head, slam hers into it.
• Wrestling Family: Has a father, brother and sister who are all wrestlers.

Havok/JesSICKa (Jessica Cricks) 「2014–2015」 「2019–present」

• Ascended Extra: Made a one off appearance for a knockouts only pay per view... which ended up airing six months later, well after her official debut.
• Badass Cape: Added one to her entrance attire in November 2014.
• Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: JesSICKa is the Brawn to Taya Valkyrie's Beauty and Rosemary's Brains in Death Dollz.
• Catchphrase: As JesSICKa, she often says "Cuz' I'm sick!".
• Charlie Brown from Outta Town: Havok was nowhere seen during Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie's journey in the Undead Realm. JesSICKa is found instead, but the resemblance with Havok is already present.
• Cool Mask: As Havok, she wore a gas/training mask in her entrance.
• Evil Laugh: Doesn't make her gimmick out of it, but she does have this.
• Expy
  • Of Awesome Kong, if only by technicality due to Kong predating her in TNA by several years. That said, their gimmicks are markedly different, with the only clear similarity being their build-based dominance and the fact that they both seem to not like talking in TNA. Even then, Havok had already spoke more in her second Impact appearance than Kong did in the entirety of her TNA run and much contemporary to it, English words anyway.
  • More or less acknowledged when Kong made her unexpected return to TNA, even changing her braids red to be more like Havok.
• Facial Markings: A green or black stripe across her eyes and around the back of her head. Hair shaved off on the sides so you can see.
• Finishing Move: Appeared to be an Air Raid Crash when she first arrived, but as of her Impact debut, it's been a choke slam known as the Harlot Slayer.
• Heel–Face Turn: She turned Face after her alliance with the then Heel Su Yung was fractured, and cemented once both of them killed Father James Mitchell (he suddenly got better, through).
• Knight of Cerebus: A non-lethal variation. She injured a Determinating Gail Kim in one episode of Impact Wrestling, only for the latter return to compete. It got Havok the title.
• Not Herself: This is Taya and Rosemary's reaction when they found Havok in the Undead Realm, only to reveal that she's changed and goes by the name of JesSICKa, whose personality is exactly the opposite of Havok.
• Laser-Guided Karma: While attempting to flee the sinking ship that is TNA by taking part in NXT tryouts, news broke on the internet that someone had unearthed a ridiculously large amount of racist/homophobic tweets she made years ago and had never gotten around to deleting, because TNA didn't pay attention to that kind of thing. It is expected that she will go back to defending TNA before long.
• Last-Name Basis: She's not the only Havok in wrestling, nor even the only one in the history of TNA, though in this case no one is going to confuse or associate her with any of the others.
• Power Stable: As Havok, she joined the current incarnation of Decay when she and Rosemary win the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championship.
• Power Trio: As JesSICKA, with Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie in Death Dollz.
• Rose-Haired Sweetie: JesSICKa's hair color is pink and is a happy go-lucky girl, compared to Havok's black hair and penchant for destruction.
• Signature Move: An elevated hammerlock cradle, usually dropped into a spine buster. When she debuted the move on Impact, she ambushed Gail Kim and separated her shoulder by using the move to ram Kim into the ring post.

• Wrestling Doesn't Pay: A wrestling stunt woman. This was not just a gimmick, either, she really worked in both professions at once, being a stunt double for the likes of Jennifer Garner.

Taya Valkyrie (Kira Renée Magnin-Forster) 「2017–2021」 「2022–2023」

• Battle Couple: With Johnny Impact, who's her real life husband. While not as directly tied together as their incarnations in crossover partner fed Lucha Underground, their marriage has been referenced plenty on Impact Wrestling air.
• Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: Taya Valkyrie is the Beauty to Rosemary's Brains and JesSICKa's Brawn in Death Dollz.
• Face–Heel Turn: Turns out her face run was nothing but a ruse set off by Taya and her husband Johnny Impact by just playing mind games to Brian Cage from the beginning.
• Heel–Face Turn: Initially was presented as a heel before taking several months off, but as a result of Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard disrespecting Taya's fellow luchadoras during an Impact tour of Mexico, Taya came back aiming right for Tessa and the championship.

• Big Guy, Little Guy: Both men could fly, but Hernandez was also the big power guy. Homicide took to being quick and clever to compensate.
• Dude, Where's My Respect?: Returned as Kingston's backup plan against Konnan and the new members of LAX out of resentment that Konnan had Homicide stationed at a Mexican strip club and didn't even call Hernandez to be part of it.
• Fantastic Racism: Played with. Konnan's gripes with his former 3 Live Kru stablemates which led to him forming LAX would later translate into an overall hatred of gringos, even to the extent of trying to burn the United States flag. However, as soon as he left they began embracing the popularity of the Latino Nation even amongst the non-Latino fanbase. Hernandez later came to regret the flag-burning incident, acknowledging that his father once served in the US military.
• Gangbangers: Especially when managed by Konnan or King.
• One Degree of Separation: Were both included as members of the Beat Down Clan for a short time in 2015, but failed to reunite as Homicide was injured when Hernandez showed up, and the latter's bad contract actually killed the BDC angle.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: How this team was put together. Homicide was initially teamed up with Apolo, but the latter was released due to no-showing an event. He ended up teaming with Machete for a few months before Hernandez was called in instead.

• The Cameo: Despite being "fired" from LAX after only three months, Machete made another short run of appearances a year later to help push the wheelchair-laden Konnan around and help Homicide and Hernandez retain the tag team titles. This was explained as him being a member of their Latino Nation support team.
• Characterization Marches On: Both Héctor Guerrero and Kingston were initially briefly opposed to their Latino counterparts before later being established as part of LAX with trusted authority over the main tag team. In the latter case it was kind of a farce.
• Darkest Hour: Ortiz and Santana hit this when both Konnan and Homicide vanished, they lost the tag team titles, and nobody was telling them anything about what was going on with the crew's extracurricular activities. Then Kingston appeared and revealed that the latter two were both in a safe spot after being jumped and business was doing just fine except for the two's losing streak. It would turn out that this whole sequence was engineered by King and Homicide, who had taken out Konnan temporarily and then tried to steer the young pups away from him before deciding whether to take them out too.
• Enemy Civil War: Kingston got tired of waiting for Konnan to step aside and let him take the lead, Homicide resented being stuck in a strip club in Mexico, and Hernandez wasn't even called up to be part of the relaunch of LAX due to issues he and Konnan had had behind the scenes over the years. So the boys ended up becoming resentful of Konnan's decisions and they wanted him out of there, while also trying to manipulate Ortiz and Santana into leaving his side as well. When the young boys ultimately decided to stick with K-Dogg, they went after them as well. Despite this, while King, Homicide, and Hernandez are referred to as the OGz in official Impact material as well as have a separate theme song, they still called themselves LAX and claimed 5150 at first, before eventually embracing the OGz label starting at Slammiversary.
• Fantastic Racism: Played with. In both incarnations, Konnan would start out having them use a hatred for gringos as their fuel to achieve success but after being solidly entrenched and getting over with the fans they would phase that out and actually start being cool with white people and others who weren't antagonizing them. Was able to do it twice because Konnan had departed before they made the shift the first time, making it easy to believe he was to blame for the racism.
• Gangbangers: Heavily suggested with the first version of LAX, confirmed with the second run. This boils down to the more cinematic character-based style of backstage vignettes run by Impact Wrestling in the post-TNA era.
• Heel–Face Turn: See Fantastic Racism above.
• Tag Team: The stable has had two notable championship-level duos over its history. Homicide and Hernandez in its first run, and Ortiz and Santana in its second. Now the two teams are actively against each other in an Enemy Civil War engineered by King due to him, Homicide, and Hernandez resenting Konnan's decisions.
• Would Hit a Girl:
  • Had a disguised member of the Latino Nation frequently attacking Christy Hemme to stop her interference during a short feud with the Rock and Rave Infection. When the Infection raised the issue of Spike's edict against man-on-woman violence, the same Latino Nation member continued attacking Hemme…and then unmasked to reveal the voluptuous woman known as Salinas.
  • That said, prior to the edict being placed, Hernandez did hit the Border Toss on Gail Kim that one time, and Homicide did drag his favorite "snowflake" Lauren Thompson by the Standard Female Grab Area when she downplayed his advances.
• Wrestling Doesn't Pay: They're wrestling revolutionary activist gangsters. They can't be getting paid enough with any one of those things to be doing all four.

• Hijacked by Ganon: Midway through the Coalition's run, it got hijacked by Kurt Angle and turned into his Angle Alliance in a long and convoluted plot by Kurt to screw Christian over as a title contender.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Became an extension to Kurt's role as the company's airtime hog as a result.
• Power Trio: Christian, Styles and Tomko. Christian later got his spot swiped by Angle.
  • Terrible Trio: Despite their main event position, they had this dynamic in backstage skits and ranting promos. More disturbing than this in and of itself is the fact that it helped get them over with fans.
• Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Steiner and Tomko. The former soon decided he'd rather tag up with his brother instead of dealing with it. Also, the entire Team Cage contingent and Abyss.
• You Have Outlived Your Usefulness / You Have Failed Me: Why Abyss was violently dispensed with following Lockdown.

• "Do It Yourself" Theme Tune: MVP is one of the rappers for the group's theme song (and rapped his own theme which was often used for the MVP-King-Lashley trio before the group had a name).
• Dragon-in-Chief: Lashley was essentially this as the World Heavyweight Champion during the group's unnamed-trio phase with him, Kenny King and MVP.
• Gangbangers: MVP, Homicide, and Hernandez brought this element into the group, while everyone else ran with it.
• Hostile Show Takeover: Their overall ambition.
• Jerk Jock: Lashley, King, Joe, and Ki were more about this element of the group, though it carried over to everyone.
• Law of Chromatic Superiority: Their main colors are red and black.
• Leeroy Jenkins: Kenny King would often be the first guy to try and get the jump on people, even when it was unnecessary or conterproductive. This left MVP frequently shaking his head.
• Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Unless you want to take a beating, that is.
• Power Trio: The original foundation of the group before its name came about, with MVP, Lashley, and Kenny King running roughshod over TNA in 2014.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: It helps that the four-man "Wu-Tang Clan of Professional Wrestling" (MVP, Joe, Ki, and Homicide) have so many like-minded friends and associates in the business, because that's ultimately what's saving this stable from sharing the fate of Aces & Eights through yet another talent hemorrhage.
  • Unfortunately, this very same trait is what inevitably killed the Clan. Shortly after leaving Lucha Underground, Hernandez was signed back to TNA to take part in the BDC storyline. The problem is, his contract with LU hadn't quite expired yet. When this eventually came back to LU, the ensuing contract dispute forced TNA to drop Hernandez as well as scrap several weeks' worth of BDC taped angles. MVP, who encouraged the deal on both sides, was also released in the fallout. Between their releases, Joe and Ki's departures, Lashley's unceremonious exit from the group and Homicide's injuries, the BDC was literally reduced to just Kenny King, effectively cutting the stable. King himself departed not long afterward.
• Screw This, I'm Outta Here: What Lashley told the fully-realized group when they tried to present him as their centerpiece in 2015. It got him violently booted.

• Crapsack World: Storm seems to have adopted AJ Styles' last worldview of TNA—namely that it's a poorly-managed company where heroes never win. He takes it further, though, outright becoming the villain in order to collect what he feels is his just due.
• Cult: It's gotten comparisons to similar stables from The Wyatt Family (via WWE fans) to Kevin Sullivan's Army of Darkness (via Storm himself).
• Defector from Decadence: What ultimately ended the stable. Following Khoya's Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal and Heel–Face Turn retaking his name of Mahabali Shera, Manik and Abyss became more and more reluctant to attack Shera on Storm's orders (though Abyss hid it better, what with not being the friend who brought Shera in and all). Eventually they got tired of being used to carry out Storm's vendettas and so they decided to walk out on Storm, then take him out to help Shera during the two's grudge match before going their separate ways. Sanada was already Put on a Bus back to Wrestle-1 at this point so he wasn't part of it.
• Disproportionate Retribution / The Power of Hate: James Storm's overall motivation since the heel turn that led to his starting the stable.
• Initiation Ceremony: Whatever it is, it seems to involve being beaten into submission and having your identity changed in some way if Storm sees fit (so far the only person who's largely stayed the same is Abyss; Khoya's the result of a name change, Manik's had a makeover, and Sanada's been outright turned into a Great Muta ripoff).
• The Revolution Will Not Be Civilized: As the Wolves and the Hardy Boys found out the hard way.
• True Companions: Shera and Manik.
• We Can Rule Together: Has offered this to Davey Richards, Matt Hardy, and Mickie James. They all rejected it.

• Big Damn Heroes: Each member made his debut running in to stop a BDC beatdown — Drew Galloway saving Grado and Al Snow, and Eli Drake and Mica saving Galloway to join him.
• Defiant to the End: The stable died in a 4-on-3 elimination match against the Beat Down Clan, with Drew going down last after awhile of constantly eating MVP's best shot and continuing to get back up.
• Foil / Light Archetype: Ironically, they're this to James Storm's Revolution. Both factions were formed because the leader felt like there was a need to make a change, both leaders have no problem getting into vicious and hardcore fights, and both coat themselves in the language of rebellion. However, Storm's group is acting on a selfish cause, was forged and has operated by manipulative means, and believes that fans shouldn't have their heroes, while Galloway's Rising advocates and fights for the fans to be able to determine those heroes by merit in the middle of the ring.

• Power Trio: Were this initially. Became so again after losing both Taryn and Kong. Jade eventually left after winning their three-way match set up by Maria Kanellis to determine the next #1 contender to the Knockouts title.
• Stripperiffic: Taryn, Jade, and Rebel all dressed the part in some way, shape or form.
• The Vamp: Taryn Terrell was this as the initial leader and center of attention, especially when trying to seduce Gail Kim's husband Robert Irvine. She now regrets this, which is related to why she's no longer with the group or in TNA.

• Arch-Enemy: They share a three-way mutual hatred with the Broken Hardys and Decay.
• Continuity Nod: Bram's return as part of DCC seemed to instead be a snarl towards the storyline he had going on with Rosemary and Decay where they attacked him for rejecting her in the woods and seemingly left him for dead. Then DCC turned their attention to attacking Decay a few months in and Bram revealed he joined DCC in the first place to get revenge on Decay. Crazzy Steve later referenced the fact that Decay were the ones who beat Beer Money out of TNA (with Bobby Roode heading out for NXT shortly after losing the tag titles to Decay) so Storm could easily want revenge against them too. Though they never referenced Kingston's relationship with Jade in real life and other companies, the latter feuding with Rosemary as the blue to her red.
• Crapsack World: The DCC fancied themselves anonymous champions of justice for the downtrodden and outcast, carrying an aesthetic that crosses between V for Vendetta and Men in Black. Storm and Kingston in particular had a beef with people being overlooked in the business for not fitting a certain corporate image, feeling they've been hard done by in this manner for years.
• Evil Versus Evil: Despite being heels themselves, they would rather take out other heel groups than team with them. Just ask Decay, who DCC have plenty of reasons to hate as it is. Also, Eli Drake and Tyrus.
• Face–Heel Turn: Storm and Bram were Faces before launching this group.
• The Power of Hate: Kingston hates the business for holding him back because he doesn't look or talk like a company poster boy. Bram straight up wants revenge on Decay. Storm sympathizes with both causes — and has hinted that he wants another shot at the TNA World Title, what with the group attacking Eddie Edwards on Impact and threatening Lashley on Twitter during their respective latest reigns as of early 2017.
• Power Trio: Storm is the central figure and obvious leader, even if he'll deny it on Twitter. Still, all three have reputations as dangerous men.
• The Revolution Will Not Be Civilized: Storm's second attempt at this type of stable in as many years, though with a far more solid foundation this time around. Billy Corgan was supposed to be the "unjust authority" targeted by this revolution, but he ended up being forced out of the company before that could happen.
• White Mask of Doom: Their ghost-faced mask that they use as a symbol of their message (and originally concealed their identities).

• Became Their Own Antithesis: Long gone are the Codes of Honor and the sportsmanship of these competitors. The first time they step foot in the Impact Zone, they are doing the opposite of what they did in Ring of Honor, essentially becoming dishonorable people.
• Call-Back: In one backstage segment, Matt Taven invoked the Code of Honor to the guards, but because they are not paying attention, he and the rest of the group simply left the scene. This is an obvious reference to how ROH starts and finishes the matches.
• Guest Fighter: Taven, Bennett, Vincent, PCO, King and Maria are former members of the Ring of Honor roster during the promotion's hiatus. Subverted after becoming part of the Impact Wrestling roster in No Surrender 2022 when they won against Team Impact.
• Hostile Show Takeover: What they are doing in the Impact Zone since Hard to Kill 2022.
• The Leader: Eddie Edwards is revealed to be the one leading the stable in No Surrender 2022, due to his own past with Ring of Honor.
• Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: All of the members don't have an unique motif (save for The OGK themselves [Taven, Bennett and Maria]) and they joined each other for a common interest.

• Dirty Coward: He could get in the ring himself even if just occasionally, but prefers to hide behind his team instead.
• Foreign Wrestling Heel: Always downplaying Americans and claiming Canadians were superior athletes.
• Fat Bastard: He loves his Canadian Bacon that's for sure. Heck, it's even his Red Baron.
• Forgot Flanders Could Do That: Not only is he an accomplished wrestler on his own merit, he can do the Canadian Destroyer.
• Put on a Bus: After Team Canada's breakup. Prior to that, was out a good 3 months via moonsault from Lance Hoyt.
• Reasonable Authority Figure: He currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Impact Wrestling, while also calling the shots of the wrestlers.
• Smug Snake: One of the biggest examples as he was TNA's Bobby Heenan and like this all the time, especially whenever Team Canada was there to protect him or he did something illegal and didn't get caught. When he was all alone with no one to protect him, however, his attitude quickly changed and he'd be begging for mercy. Faces like Styles and Rhino ignored his pleas as they pummeled him.

Héctor Guerrero (Héctor Manuel Guerrero Llanes) - 2007–2015

• Combat Commentator: On the Spanish-language announce team.
• Loser Leaves Town: Was forced back to the announce team after a brief term managing LAX when they lost to Beer Money and Jacqueline in a six-person match where the losing team would lose its manager.
• Strong Family Resemblance: To his late younger brother Eddie.
• Token Heroic Orc: During the Latin American Xchange's initial reign of terror with Konnan he was the only purely-babyface Latino wrestler on the roster and thus briefly feuded with them. Once Konnan left and they stopped hating America he started trying to help them, eventually being embraced as their new advisor.
• Wrestling Family: Member of the legendary Guerrero wrestling family.

Josh Mathews (Josh Lomberger) 「2015–present」

• Combat Commentator: Before getting promoted to Executive Producer. Sometimes goes back as a back-up commentator.
• Happily Married: With Madison Rayne.
• Insistent Terminology: WWE's in particular. He took awhile to adjust to being able to talk about wrestlers and championship belts as a TV commentator again.
• Jerkass: His treatment of fans on social media, both on his own personal and TNA's official accounts. This was before he became a Heel and ended up resulting in said Heel turn.
• Wild Card: As a commentator, anyway. Similar to Taz before him, he's not above occasionally supporting a heel or opposing a face, though he will call out a pronounced act of villainy when he sees it.

• Alpha Bitch: Competed with Sharmell for this position in the Main Event Mafia.
• Faux Action Girl: Her "match" with Booker T's wife Sharmell at TNA Victory Road 2009 got a MINUS FIVE STAR rating from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Brian Alvarez.
• Put on a Bus: The last professional wrestling ever saw of this woman was when Kong killed her dead at the end of her disastrous MEM Victory Road "match" against Sharmell.
• Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: She bought both hers and Samoa Joe's way into the Main Event Mafia. The former did not sit well with Sharmell, who got all Territorial Smurfette about it. Then when the two got set to come to blows at Victory Road, she bought herself a trainer and bodyguard from hell in Awesome Kong. She was able to win the "match"…but then tried to slap and boss around Kong after the fact. It did not end well for Jenna.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: The money said to be involved in this would be her legitimate Survivor winnings.

Sharmell (Sharmell Sullivan-Huffman) 「2007–2009」

• Alpha Bitch: Towards anyone not aligned with her husband Booker T.
• Put on a Bus: Along with Booker T.
• Territorial Smurfette: Became this when Jenna Morasca bought her way into the group.
• Unholy Matrimony: With Booker T, and boy was she proud to sing his praises.

Tony Schiavone (Noah Anthony Schiavone) 「2003」

• Aborted Arc: His one appearance in TNA featured Vince Russo offering him a job at the promotion, which never happened as he quit wrestling for over a decade shortly afterwards.
• The Bus Came Back: After a one-off appearance in TNA, he made a return to Impact seventeen years later as part of All Elite Wrestling's "Paid Advertisements".

• The Smart Guy: They don't call him "The Professor" for nothing. He has a vast and impressive knowledge of the wrestling business, wrestling history, and wrestling maneuvers.
• Saying Sound Effects Out Loud: While calling the Insane Clown Posse-Glenn Gilbertti/David Young match at TNA #83 on February 4, 2004, he referred to ICP's promotion, then known as Juggalo Championshxt Wrestling, as "Juggalo Champion-Bleep Wrestling."

Heiress with lots of time on her hands. Became the President of TNA Wrestling following her family's acquisition of the company in early 2003. First started making on-screen appearances in 2009. Likes to tweet. Not to be confused with Julia Sugarbaker. As of August 12, 2016, she willingly stepped down as President and selected Billy Corgan as her replacement. Her new official title became Chief Strategy Officer (and as majority shareholder, she remained Chairwoman of the Board of Directors). Unfortunately, as Corgan's appointment was In Name Only, Dixie remained in power until the majority purchase of TNA by Anthem Sports and Entertainment in January 2017, when she was promptly Kicked Upstairs onto the advisory board of Anthem subsidiary Fight Media Group and into minority ownership.

• Alternate Company Equivalent: She comes across as a bizarre union between Vince and Stephanie McMahon. As in, an uncomfortably awkward mismatch of the worst parts of Vince and Stephanie McMahon.
• American Accents: Dixie. It definitely adds to her charm.
• Arch-Enemy:
  • In Kayfabe— Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, Jeff Jarrett and the rest of Immortal as a face, AJ Styles, Sting, MVP, etc. as a heel.
  • In Real Life— Jesse Sorensen, Daffney and many other disgruntled former employees she seriously wronged in some way. She would very much like to be one to Vince McMahon, if he acknowledged her in the slightest. Billy Corgan joined the lineup in late 2016 as she had effectively screwed him over as well.
• Author Appeal: She is apparently a big reality TV fan, hence the appearances of so many veterans of Survivor, Jersey Shore, and why Big Brother veteran Jessie Godderz once claimed she's one of his biggest cheerleaders in the company. But you know she's a really big fan when reports come in about her filming several pilots for a reality TV show based on her life.
• Bad Boss: By all accounts, both on-screen and in Real Life. Just look at the below tropes for numerous examples, and it's plainly clear that this woman has no idea how to run a business, let alone a wrestling promotion, with how callously she treats those under her employ, with little regard for their safety. Say what you want about the WWE or Vince McMahon, but they value the safety of their performers above all else — it's bluntly stated by everyone involved with the business that Vince will never make a performer do something that he himself wouldn't do. Meanwhile, Dixie has no issues taking money from a wrestler's paycheck to pay for medical procedures for injuries done on the job — and there is no excuse for this, as TNA under her watch was backed by a multi-million dollar energy company that can easily front the money at a moment's notice. It only gets worse from there.
• Corrupt Corporate Executive: Her Dixieland / Carter Kingdom shtick since turning heel in 2013 was built on this. Unfortunately, like most of the heel tropes here, this was as true in real life as ever. The nadir of this was the news involving the secret rehiring of Vince Russo. Let's put it this way: in a time where they need to negotiate on a new contract with Spike TV in a matter of months in order to stay on the air, Dixie and her Creative/Talent VP were willing to rehire the notorious writer who most TNA fans as well as Spike executives themselves hate with a passion, and lie about it to everyone for months — including the very wrestlers whose careers in the company are guided by their creative direction and the discretion of the fans!
  • The sad part about this is that Dixie is probably the greatest source of nepotism in the history of the company, and that's accounting for the fact that this company was founded by the Jarretts — not-so-much to replace WCW as it was to put the spotlight on Jeff. Her misplaced loyalty to industry veterans desperately trying to keep the spotlight on themselves had become a severe detriment to the company. It's very clear that even Jeff was disgusted by how things were going, as indicated by his departure after failing to buy back the company. Oh, and that secret rehiring of Russo up there? Probably had to do with why the cash value in Spike's offer to renew their TV deal with TNA wasn't to Dixie's liking. Yet there was still an offer on the table. One which Dixie repeatedly tried to special-plead Spike into doubling or tripling until they got tired of her and just called it off, then tried to backtrack and accept the original offer when it was too late. TNA was forced to shop around for a new network after that, and have since been reduced to either lower level cable stations or Twitch streaming to air their shows, never reaching anything close to the heights they were at with Spike.
• Deal with the Devil: She became the proverbial devil in her heel run, offering top guys help and perks to turn around and follow her agenda. It ended up working on half the heels on the roster, but only managed (and needed) to corrupt one babyface — Magnus, who became her new hood ornament as TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
• Dear Negative Reader: You would think the president of a nationally broadcast wrestling promotion would have more important things to do than pick a fight on Twitter with an online critic over a vlog. You would be wrong.
• Distaff Counterpart:
  • To Ted Turner. Dixie is what's referred to on the street as a "whale" or "money mark"; if you manage to win her loyalty, she will shower you with funds and support over the objections of her close advisers.
  • Arguably to Vince McMahon. Appeared to be neutral if not altrustic, before revealing her petty tyrannical side, just as he did. Her heel-turn storyline with AJ Styles seems to be a composite expy of Vince's storylines with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and CM Punk, respectively.
• Face–Heel Turn: Arguably a revelation at that.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After recovering from the table slam, courtesy of Bully Ray, no less.
• Failure Is the Only Option: While she picked up the Villain Ball to make it easier, there was almost nothing Dixie Carter could do on the date Bully Ray set for her table trip short of not showing up for work at all. Her own personal Twitter account was even hijacked to advertise it!
• Female Misogynist: According to several former TNA Knockouts, Dixie goes out of her way to be needlessly unpleasant to female employees. One particular story comes from Tara, who dedicated a lot of time and energy and money to hyping up a TNA event in Chicago via her restaurant, then told Dixie about it, the latter's only response being "I heard." Not even a "thank you" or anything. TNA talent were then instructed to promote another restaurant in the area. Understandably, she wanted to punch Dixie in the face.
  • A little more elaboration on that: according to several reports, this is partially out of resentment for the fact that the Knockouts' success was due to Dutch Mantell, who was one of Jeff Jarrett's people. Essentially, she's mean to the Knockouts because they're aren't a result of any of her ideas or those of her people. However, the really nasty treatment didn't start until Hogan and his lot came and, despite their supposed "big-name" status, the Knockouts still drew higher-rated segments.
• Good Is Dumb:
  • Even as a face, she made such obtuse decisions as sitting down the entire roster and telling them to step their game up without questioning her in a real-life meeting aired on television heading into the Hogan/Bischoff Regime, and not even bothering to punish a psychotic monster for carving up her reigning champion with a nail board and torturing backstage workers with a branding iron until he put his hands on her. Of course, she became far more competent upon turning heel, as it's allowed her to embrace this more selfish side of her and toss it back in people's faces.
  • The "working relationship" storyline with Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling was a ridiculously bad look for her. First the man she put in charge of Impact Wrestling, Bully Ray (see Heel Realization for why that would ever happen), gets taken out backstage, after which Jarrett, who she just inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame and who's only now starting to get GFW off the ground as a wrestling product, promptly walks in and offers to run the show week-by-week, which she accepts without hesitation. The first week he's running the show, he brings in a host of GFW talent to immediately insert themselves into TNA's title pictures, including vacating and putting up his King of the Mountain Championship—along with #1 contendership to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship—in the titular reverse ladder match, with both TNA and GFW talent. Drew Galloway, one of TNA's hottest acquisitions and probably their top guy in the King of the Mountain ladder match, gets taken out mysteriously backstage the same way Bully Ray did. Who ends up winning the match? "The Darewolf" PJ Black, a GFW wrestler. The writing is on the wall as to what this actually is. Yet Dixie can't see it, happily co-signing on everything Jeff does. Josh Mathews can't see it, not even bothering to interview a single GFW wrestler in his investigation on TNA's YouTube channel — and this is despite the fact that he himself has already previewed an episode of Impact that he acknowledged was outright billed as TNA vs. GFW. In fact, the only person saying the obvious truth even once — is Dixie's corrupt entitled nephew, the TNA World Heavyweight Champion himself, Ethan Carter III. And because she's a face now while he's still heel, she doesn't even believe him. By the time the truth comes out and the hostile takeover is officially launched, not only is no one surprised but Dixie, half the fans are cheering for GFW and Ethan is so disgusted with his aunt doubting him on such an obvious truth that he washes his hands of the whole deal when later asked to fight for TNA.
  • After a team of TNA guys takes out the GFW invasion, Dixie awards the teammates a chance to earn a shot at Ethan's title at Bound for Glory, which is won by team captain Drew Galloway. When Ethan starts openly questioning the hype around Galloway — not even the decision to have the match, but the hype around Galloway — the easy justification Dixie and Galloway offer is that Drew fought to defend TNA in its "darkest hour" and Ethan didn't. This despite the fact that, again, Ethan was right about Jarrett all along, and that he beat back the aforementioned title shot won by PJ Black and kept GFW away from the World Heavyweight Title while Dixie was still blindly supporting Jeff's every move, something she still has yet to give him any credit for. Then she responds to Ethan's further questioning by basically throwing in the Hardy Boys in the perfect position to put the screws to Ethan and still be seen as the faces — Matt getting a place as the third competitor in the match, Jeff being inserted as the guest referee just a week after EC3 let him go as a "personal assistant", with BFG taking place in their home state. When this predictably happens and Ethan declares Dixie dead to him as result, then pulls a Rules Lawyer and gets an injunction declared on the world title forcing Matt to relinquish it, no one sheds a tear for anyone involved. The only saving grace is that this was used as the prelude to Dixie and Billy Corgan "coming up with" the FIFA World Cup-style tournament for the championship that TNA had taped most of the matches for months ago.
• Heel Realization: Credits Bully Ray's powerbomb of her through a table surrounded by the cheers of the entire TNA roster as what woke her up to what she'd done to the company over the years, even giving Bully the job of being "the law" in TNA. Subverted in that as soon as Bully gets taken out mysteriously backstage in an off-screen attack, she promptly puts her trust in someone with obviously deceitful goals, most likely out of sheer stupidity, which also doubles as Horrible Judge of Character.
• Hope Spot: As of August 12th, 2016, she has stepped down as President of TNA. Her replacement? BILLY CORGAN!!
• It's All About Me: Moreso than Vince, if the Internet is to be believed. For all his rants on TV and his surrounding of glad-handing, nonsensical douchebag Yes Men, Vince was always willing to put his ego aside when there was business to be done and lots and lots of money to be made. Dixie, on the other hand, has made it clear both onscreen and arguably in Real Life that if something good is happening in TNA that isn't coming from her, then it isn't worth mentioning.
• Mean Boss: By all accounts, if you're not an established ring veteran, TNA management will treat you like dirt and intentionally put you in serious danger for minor increases in audience share. Very few TNA employees, current and former have anything good to say about her, the only reason she isn't criticized as much as Vince is that (A) TNA contracts explicitly forbid saying anything bad publicly about her on pain of dismissal, and (B) she hasn't done anything as publicly blatant as the Montreal Screwjob to really open the floodgates. Some have even gone on record to say that she might be even worse than Vince. The confirmation from AJ Styles that she was the one who low-balled him during contract negotiations, causing the ultimate departure of the heart and soul of the company, is a further nail in the coffin of her image.
• Mrs. Robinson: Er…? Has a strange way of appearing quite cozy with guys who she puts trust in to carry the company. Though things have never gotten intimate to anyone's knowledge (although it has been rumored for quite a while, to the point of becoming a question asked in a few shoot interviews with ex-TNA talent), her closeness with certain men in TNA over the years has been downright shippable. This backfired horribly against…well, really against AJ Styles, when Christopher Daniels and Kazarian decided to use it as part of a plot to ruin his life.
• Pointy-Haired Boss: All Dixie had to do was manage TNA's financial services with JJ, not take it away from him and run it into the ground just so she could play businesswoman.
• Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: Dixie is not the keenest intellect around — having been swindled repeatedly by the likes of Bischoff and Hogan — but the company in general enjoys this. WCW failed because they alienated fans to the point that they were a financial sinkhole and TBS sold them down the river; ECW was financially mismanaged and had a product that was too violent to get mainstream attention; independent promotions have paper-thin profit margins and fail all the time if they simply don't draw; the WWE and Ring of Honor have to answer to stockholders, network executives and fans and could conceivably fail if people just stop watching. TNA has a guaranteed timeslot on Spike (or used to; apparently even Spike had their limits) and are financially propped up by a major energy company owned by Dixie's father (also used to; even Dixie's family had their limits), this makes Dixie essentially a law unto herself and means that, unless TNA becomes a huge liability, will be funded if people watch or not.
• Spoiled Brat: As many people note, Dixie treats TNA as more of a plaything to pass the time with than an actual business and as a springboard to getting her own reality show. A lot of her actions scream of an attitude playing to her ego—she hates anything in TNA that's successful that isn't a result of her or a member of her personal circle (see: the Knockouts). When you're a trust fund baby who isn't going to have to worry about money, regardless of whether the promotion folds or not, you're apparently allowed to act like that.
• Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Has become this since her heel turn, and it's kept up even through her loss of control over wrestling operations.
• Stupid Evil: Evidently in both Kayfabe and Real Life. Even after so much consequent loss, she still refused to learn her lesson regarding all of her actions that made her Hated by All.
• Suspiciously Specific Denial: No, AJ Styles did not take her breath away just looking at him in a magazine. Subverted in that she would reveal the man who did; Magnus.
• Too Dumb to Live: She hired every single person that was on the cover of The Death of WCW and allowed them free reign over her company. There's a reason people say TNA is dying a slow death.
• Unknown Rival:
  • Twitter in general. Special mention goes to Noah Antwiler and 420Chan for abusing the #AskDixie hashtag to lewd and comic effect. Also, RD Reynolds of Wrestlecrap, said to already be in the process of writing another book about TNA's eventual collapse.
  • Then there's the aforementioned relationship with Vince and the McMahon family in general. Dixie and TNA can make all the potshots they want, but they're barely a blip on the radar as far as the WWE is concerned.
• We Used to Be Friends: With AJ Styles, Sting, and Jeff Jarrett most notably among others.
• You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: With Team MVP running her out of wrestling operations and Magnus recruiting Abyss as his ally to keep the World Heavyweight Championship, she became this to Magnus. For a long time the only person loyal to Dixie was EC3, but that ended after her Heel–Face Turn when she reappeared down the line. She got wrestlers willing to fight for her to stave off company invasions after that, but it's not exactly the same.

Billy Corgan

William Patrick Corgan

Yes, the frontman for The Smashing Pumpkins. A lifelong wrestling fan, he was hired prior to the jump to Pop as the Senior Producer of Creative & Talent Development. On August 12, 2016, he legitimately succeeded Dixie Carter as TNA President.

Or not, as it would later be revealed that he was made TNA President In Name Only. He would later sue Dixie and TNA over it, and was eventually paid off just before Anthem purchased TNA. Not long afterward, he purchased the NWA.

• Full-Name Basis: Although more often known in general culture by his musical identity of Billy Corgan, he uses his full name in wrestling-related media (TNA/Impact and NWA).
• Pyrrhic Victory: While Corgan!TNA didn't pan out, his investments did manage to save the company long enough to move past the Dixie Carter era with new ownership and management, as well as establish enough credibility for himself in the wrestling world to buy the classic NWA instead.
• Rags to Riches: In stark contrast to the Rich Bitch that is Dixie Carter, he has had a pretty tragic life, having grown up in a horribly abusive home, spending much of his childhood taking care of his disabled brother and dealing with severe and at times near-suicidal depression. Then he went on to achieve fame and fortune with the Smashing Pumpkins, some of which he used to gain a credible position and make a major investment into TNA in its latest Darkest Hour in 2016.
• Reasonable Authority Figure: Kayfabe-wise, he is willing to make friends with and put his foot down against both Faces and Heels alike to make the right decisions for the product. Behind the scenes, he's been helping maximize most of the characters on this page who had "–present" next to their names and he invested his own money into making sure TNA had enough funding to run past Slammiversary 2016 despite already having power over creative. It's pretty telling that even on-screen, one of his first acts was to help Dixie fix one of her own mistakes (turning the EC3/Hardys BFG world title fiasco caused by her thankless attitude toward her own nephew over a period of several months into The World Cup-esque World Title Series tournament that was pretaped to fill up the show's last remaining Destination America airdates).
