Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

1. A follower/high priest should share the trope with the deity.

2. Yes, you can add new interactions/flavor text to existing profiles if you want to.

I'm posting my long draft for feedback. I kindly needed some additional interactions relating to all three of them (with explanation added):

  • Corrupt/insane rulers (besides Caligula or the Queen of Hearts)
  • Rulers whose domain is dependent on their survival (alternatively if the ruler die their subjects and land would be gone/suffer figuratively and literally)
  • People with noble intentions who descended to evil (besides Mr. Freeze and Walter White)
  • Characters who wanted to make a utopia but failed to become tyrant or similar
  • Evil Versus Oblivion examples who would get along with them
  • Other possible Allies/Enemies/Interactions, individually or as a group.

Other kinds of feedback are welcome. smile

Top to Bottom: Dedan, Japhet, Enoch
  • Potential House: Motivations for Evil
  • Greater Gods
  • Symbol: Signs with the name "ZONE 1, 2 and 3" for each
  • Theme Song: Fake Orchestra (Dedan), Minuit à Fond La Caisse (Japhet) and O Rosto De Um Assassino (Enoch)
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil (Dedan) and Chaotic Evil (Japhet and Enoch)
  • Portfolio: Drunk with Power, Evil Versus Oblivion, Face–Heel Turn, Load-Bearing Boss, Madden Into Misanthropy, Well-Intentioned Extremist
  • Domains: Administration, Control, Evil, Insanity, Spectres

  • Opposes: Ungrateful People (Japhet)
  • Opposed by: Hall of Ghosts (Japhet); Hall of Food, Hall of Unliving Beings, Hall of Zombies, Drug Dealers and Cooks, Corporate Executive deities (Enoch)
  • Respected by: Hall of Flesh Eaters (Enoch)
  • Working Relationship with: Lord Crumb (Enoch)
  • Annoyed by: Sans and Papyrus (Dedan)
  • In a world of nothingness, there exists a group of zones each administrated by a Guardian. Dedan of Zone 1, Japhet of Zone 2 and Enoch of Zone 3, the three are arguably the strongest beings in the world only behind the Queen and the Creator, the latter being the one person that they promised to build an Utopia where everyone would live happily ever after. Except that was never meant to be and they each went mad with power that only brought grief and suffering to the residents, until a being named the Batter stepped up to combat the looming spectre threat, the Guardians being a prime target for the Batter's goal and every single one was defeated by him, with their respective Zone devoid of life as well.
  • The three guardians differ in how they handle their Zones and their personality are widely different, in the past they used to be friends but duties and personal struggles prevented them from seeing each other often, but that sense of companionship still lingers, even if their mindset has been warped after years of administration.
    • Dedan is the first guardian, a tall man with plenty of sharp teeth and a very explosive temper. He is foul-mouthed and treats his subjects like crap but of the three he is the most competent in managing his zone and actively trying to combat the spectre threat. Surprisingly he was very nice in the past, but that changed.
    • Second is Japhet, the Fire Bird. Originally a very caring master he eventually went insane after his efforts were not appreciated by the Elsen, who aren't even aware of his existance and seeks nothing but to get them killed. This also applies to the lesser deities of the pantheon, who deserve punishment for their selfishness.
    • Last but not least, is Enoch. Arguably the most evil of three and very sadistic. Enoch is a cold hearted administrator that runs a factory in his realm, offering sugar to his subject which makes them addicted to it. The truth is that the sugar is made of the corpses of Elsen and that he basically has been turning his people into cannibals.
  • Applies to all:
    • The three Guardians woke up in the halls of the Pantheon, confused on how they survived. After all, they died and their Zones faded away with them, so waking up in an unfamiliar location utterly baffled them. As they walked around together in this strange place, they were spotted by Krillin who looks similar to the boy they once helped, and decided to approach the Guardians. Krillin then explained what this place was and convince in bring them to the Court of Gods, hoping to find answers on that lead them to this place. After their deaths and motivations were analyzed, it was discovered that all three lose sight of their original motivation, granted them their current titles and were promptly brought into their new temples. Their temples contains a floating red box which is a entrance to a near black pocket dimension with three red dots similar to the one in their own world, but no keycard is required to enter each Zone. Each red dot goes to a different Zone and each Guardian have their own Zones (with their resurrected subjects, The Elsens, who serves as their heralds) but the land they are using is in a much smaller in scale, likely due to the lack of influence from their Queen. At least there are no spectres roaming around the place and they are still able get to have their previous powers and competences despite that setback.
    • When they enviably crossed paths with The Batter whom they saw him in his "monstrous ducky" form, Dedan and Enoch wanted to kill him on sight. Japhet, while still resentful of him, doesn't try to attack the Batter due to having accepted his own failures and his death at the Batter's hands. A violent fight ensured between the two Guardians and the Divine Purifier until several gods have to restrain the two Guardians as to not destroy the other Houses and that the other deities are afraid that their second death at The Batter's hands (at best it might purify their templates as that is their current domain and probably won't affect the whole Pantheon) may or may not still summon The Secretaries and infest the other Houses with them. Agreeing on their points, the Zone Guardians reluctantly retreated, not before returning a death glare to The Batter.
    • Upon reviewing their stories, they were made fully aware of the entity called The Player/(Insert Name Here) and decided to meet them. Dedan feels more insulted that he lost to a puppet and his unseen master and lashes out at them verbally for aiding in the destruction of his beloved Zone. Enoch also chastised (Insert Name Here) for helping in the Batter's "mission" and no matter which side what they choose with in the end, it would still been too late to save them or their respective Zones. Japhet finds the ironic/humiliating that he, whose forcefully controlled a cat and wanted to control the specters, had been killed by someone who relied on someone else's control to do anything. As per the nature of (Insert Name Here), their reactions to the Zone Guardians' insults varies. Considering how powerful of an influence they have on not only the Batter but also in other worlds as well, the Guardians were also advised to not invoke further and to avoid them. Additionally, any mentions of the Space Apes would elicit anger from the Guardians.
  • Exclusive to Dedan:
    • Dedan is the Guardian of Zone 1, an easily angered, belligerent man (possible a mutant) who treats his subjects like crap, and is implied to have verbally abused them regularly. His bad treatment of his subjects lead to some comparisons with Etna, who is similarly cruel to her Prinny minions, to the point of using them as expendable punching bags. Of course, Dedan tends to punt the Prinnies around whenever he's in a bad mood (which is often) and ends up in tussled with Etna thanks to their irritable natures.
    • When he was the Guardian of Zone 1, his Zone was in charge of producing and distributing raw materials to the other Zones and his role in his new temple is no different here, as he figured he could rebuilt/reestablish what was taken from him after his death and also aiding in rebuilding his fellow Guardians' Zones as well. These materials or Elements in their world are Smoke (which is what Elsens breathe), Metal (which creates the ground they walk under, as well as some tools), Plastic (which makes up the oceans in its liquid form and various objects in its solid form) and Meat (which is what the Elsens eat). The Smoke and Metal are extracted from mines and cow farms respectively and because of that, Dedan had made some request to the Court of Gods to also bring back the cows from his world as he learns that the cows in the Pantheon either don't produce metal and/or are sentient. Dedan didn't take his second life kindly as he saw his first death as a huge waste of time for everyone involved and the shock of his lost and death at the hands of The Batter, the lost of his beloved Zone and presumably the lost of his Queen whom he was loyal to, still lingered within him.
    • His second chance at life did not improve his temper one bit (he seems more irritated than before) nor did it improve his relationship with his subjects, who are still timid and anxious just as ever, as the Tall Guardian seems just as impatient and critical of them (if not more). This got a bit for flack from other villains like King Dedede and Bowser and former villain Gru, who have their own silly and simple-minded mooks but are good and patience to them despite that. They even tried to help him out on how to treat his subjects better but Dedan lashes out at them, saying that they shouldn't damn tell him how he should run his beloved Zone and that should mind their own fucking business. He even threatens to kill them personally should they ever set foot at his temple/zone. The three of them and their respective mooks have kept their distance from him since then.
    • It's generally not a good idea to bring Dedan into the Hall of Anger or have him come into contact with any easily-angered person unless you don't like peace and quiet or want see an absolute blood bath. One time, he almost got along with park manager Benson Dunwood and famous chef Gordon Ramsay, due to their mutual dislike of people who don't do their jobs very well, until they both learned that he is willing to abandon his subjects to fend for themselves amidst danger should they pissed him off. The shouting match that ensured got so loud and colorful that it almost made every sailor, sea captain and pirate in the Pantheon blush. Other time, he got into a fight with The Hair-Trigger Temper God Namor the Sub-Mariner and The God of Hulking Out himself simultaneously due to an unknown heated argument, which lasted quite a while to each other's durability. The fight had gotten so bad that other Marvel deities had to ask Mag-fuckin-neto to incapacitate the Tall Guardian after learning his body is made out of steel (Dedan now holds a fiere grudge against the three since then). However, his worst fight yet was with the bartender-turned-bodyguard Shizuo Heiwajima, who is ranked as a Lesser God but has the physical strength of a Greater God, which apparently started because they accidently bumped into each other and Dedan verbally insulted him for not giving way. Let's just say that aftermath of this fight caused so much property damage, that that section of the temple can be liken to a warzone.
    • As one of The Batter's allies, Papyrus personally visited Dedan in his temple with a gift especially after realizing that The Tall Guardian was one of the inspirations for his character. As first Dedan wanted to turn him away, but after remembering a death threat the other day from a certain short skeleton who can potentially kill him if he turned down or harmed to his brother in any way, he begrudgingly let him in. Papyrus then explained his initial reason for coming here and also that he wanted to try to make The Batter and the other Guardians friends again even if The Batter had killed them once before considering Papyrus himself forgave and believed his killer would change in a different darker timeline in his world. The Great Papyrus then presented his gift, which is spaghetti & meatballs which he made himself, and then urged The Tall Guardian to try it. When he did, Dedan immediately spat out his food and cursed loudly at the Skeleton for his awful cooking, to which the Skeleton was seemingly unaffected by his insults. Upon seeing Dedan's outburst, Papyrus figured that perhaps his mood is affecting his taste and general outlook in life and has an idea to make The Tall Guardian calm himself down. Papyrus would try to take Dedan to the Hall of Calmness hoping to find someone who can help him control his temper but most of members there are unable to help him, not because they are afraid of the Tall Swearing Monster-looking Guardian but because they are either unable to relate to his struggles of ruling over subjects or just plain indifference to him to worth helping out.
    • There was one particular deity however who noticed the two of them, Gus Fring who is the God of Composed Rage, who is aware of Dedan and sees his strong work ethic and lack of patience for ineptitude reminded him of his own. His temper could be a risk factor but then again, Gus has taken risks before in spite of his known meticulousness and also he had his own anger issues that he had worked on during his raising drug empire. The Former Drug Kingpin approached the two in his usual friendly persona and requested to speak to Dedan alone, to which Papyrus was happy leave them be and waited outside Gus' temple. After getting acquaintance with each other, Gus offers an alliance with Dedan should Gus should be get into a dispute with a higher ranking deity and in exchange, help him out efficiently managing his farm and mining operations, since he also used to run a successful chicken resturant chains. Dedan at first felt insulted for implying that Gus could do a better job than him, but then Dedan realized their situations are similar in a way and noticed that, despite being a mortal with no powers, he had a working functioning drug empire, who makes sure his enemies and unruly employees get what they deserve (i.e. death), until someone who didn't follow his orders killed him, causing his empire to crumble down. This sense of familiarity was enough for Dedan to accept his offer, and the two of them arrange the time and date on when they can see each other again, hoping that Dedan could learn to be just as calm and ruthless as Gus is.
  • Exclusive to Japhet:
    • Japhet is the Guardian of Zone 2, where he built a massive city for his subjects to live in. He used to be a kind generous ruler, but turned into a corrupt and mad leader as his subjects kept being ungrateful for his sacrifices. His attitudes continue in the Pantheon, as he holds grudges against any deity who fails to show proper gratitude towards the people who sacrificed much for them. The Goddess he hates the most is Trakeena, whose streak of being ungrateful towards anyone, even if they saved her life, pisses him off greatly. Trakeena is really annoyed by his complaints, and they would end up fighting whenever one of them struck the other's nerve.
    • Then he was once a little bird, Japhet was eaten by a cat named Valérie, who was too nice to chew the bird up and too underpowered to kill a powerful guardian. As a result, the Bird Guardian took the control of his host and later torn him apart as the bird transformed into his larger true form. When he ascended, he still have Valérie's corpse hanging on his head, likely as a reminder of what he had done. The House of Felines are naturally horrified and promptly banned him from entering their halls and its members are forbidden from consuming him if ever he's in his smaller form, not that Japhet would care any less what they think of him. His experiences made him have low opinions on cats in general but not enough hatred to actively want to kill them like he would for his ungrateful subjects.
    • Back when Japhet was in charge of Zone 2, he had built a library, a shopping mall, an amusement park, and a residential area for its residents. In his temple, he manage to create these establishments again (albeit in a smaller scale) hoping to win back his resurrected subject's respect, viewing that his ascension and resurrection could give him a second chance to redeeming himself in their eyes. Unfortunately, due to his past actions, he's still feared/unappreciated by them and the other deities who could potentially be interested in his establishments are too scared of him to even visit his temple. Fortunately for them, rather than attempt to kill his subjects or simply give up like the last time, he sought to travel to other places the Pantheon hoping he can find ways to get his subjects' attention.
    • He once tried to challenge the Legendary Pokémons Ho-Oh and Moltres on different occasions, both being inspired by Fire Birds. Part of the reason for these battles is for domination to see who is the better Fire Bird, another part of it is for getting recognition for these battles if victorious. While Japhet surprisingly held well among the two Legendaries, he lost to both as they have the hidden ability to heal themselves, much like the Batter himself (and unlike Japhet). The Millennial Fire Bird has sworn for another rematch another day. On the subject of birds, he's not really popular with House of Birds either, with the good and neutral avains deities not wanting to be assocaited with him and the evil avians deties don't want to be bossed around by him (that and all of them intiminated by his "headdress"). Ultimately, Lugia had to guard the house to prevent him loitering inside, causing more ire for the Bird Guardian.
    • Another time, he once went to the House of Ghosts to attempt to control its members to do his bidding and intimidate his subject and enemies into respecting him. When he can't seem control them in anyway, the Ghosts laughed at him, stating that since they came from different worlds and not created from The Queen herself, they cannot be controlled by him, whether he's able to do so or not. They promptly kicked him out of the House as well, causing Japhet to feel rejection and resentment even more.
    • Looking for new establishment ideas, Japhet ventured to the House of Theatre and Spectacle and observed the various film and theatre acts there. From that place he found an actress named Norma Desmond, a washed-up silent film star whose failure at a comeback and the heartbreak of being forgotten led her to insanity and murdered her screenwriter who she was working with. While conversing with her and let her know his plans to make a new area for his subjects, Norma suggested a film theater would be the perfect place for that and that she's willing to perform on stage or screen movies (starring her of course) with the help of her ally BoJack Horseman. While her delusions of grandeur is a lot stronger than his (because at least he's willing to admit his mistakes, unlike her), he is willing to work with her, seeing her as a kindred sprit and their vastly different ranks makes it unlikely to be killed by her. Upon hearing this possible alliance, her victim Joe Gillis was worried that their interactions would make each other more mentally unstable and dangerous, and plans to seek help from other higher ranking Gods to keep them away from each other. So far, both of their plans remains to be seen.
  • Exclusive to Enoch:
    • Enoch is the Guardian of Zone 3, where he runs a massive sugar factory. While that may sound appetizing to many a Sweet Tooth, there are unfortunate parts that greatly sour the sweet exterior; the workers in the factory are gravely addicted to consuming sugar, and the sugar is actually made up of other workers. Needless to say, many of the Pantheon's sweet lovers like Stocking Anarchy, Lemres, Pinkie Pie, L Lawliet, Kokonoe A. Mercury, Gretel of the Blood Team, and AA-12 are disgusted by such a disturbing fact. AA-12 in particular thinks that his sugar would reinforce her image of being a "crack addict" which she heavily dislikes, plus sugar made of people is quite disgusting to her. As per request from these sweet-lovers, the House of Food (with the exception of the Hall of Flesh Eaters of course) has forbid its cooks from using his sugar in their desserts or any type of food item.
    • Their world's sugar and its addictive properties kind of acts like a drug in all but name, however its contents make it unappealing except the most daring of druggies and other drug dealers and cooks are either equally grossed out by it as the sweet lovers or see it as competition. The chemistry-teacher-turned-meth-cook Walter White pointed out that sugar (at least in his world) can be refined using bone marrow and some studies have suggested that sugar is as addictive as cocaine. That said, he was no idea why the sugar in their world causes them to "burn out" (perhaps something specific to the Elsens maybe) and due to his experiences with bodies himself, he would not rather used any bodies in his recipes any time soon. Enoch doesn't desire to profit off his creation and just wants to spread happiness to others in his own way, even if he doesn't realized how sick and twisted his methods of making them are. For now, any humans are forbidden from consuming any sugar originating from his temple (thought that doesn't stop some of them to want to try it anyway).
    • As mentioned, when Enoch was in charge of Zone 3, he ran a large sugar factory, which serves as a haven for his subjects to have jobs and feel productive. His temple is pretty much a downscaled version of said factory complete with accommodations and refreshment for workers, and workers are rewarded with "desserts" made with said sugar. Said temple or rather his office is where he mostly stays, although he does go out of his temple to see the other houses as well occasionally. While he is surprisingly agile for his size, his huge mass also makes him tried pretty easily. Anyway, he sees his ascension as a confirmation of his actions and continues running his sugar refinement operations amidst protest from other deities, believing that there is nothing wrong with what he does. He's also still using his deceased subjects for the sugar, although given that he was only given limited number of subjects to be in charge of, he may need to find other ways to maintain the supply.
    • The Halls of Unliving Beings and Zombies have filed a restraining order against the Big Guardian from coming near their halls or with its members in fear that they might be used his refinement too. While Enoch is seen as rather ambivalent to the ghosts, seeing them as spirits of the dead who can't go away and run around his facilities despite their hostility to his subjects, the House of Ghosts would also ban him due to his connection to the previous two Guardians, whose relations with them are more hostile. The Big Guardian doesn't care about those bans either way as long as it doesn't affect his subjects. One sub-house that doesn't ban him however is the Hall of Flesh Eaters, who approach Enoch in the hope of him joining their ranks. Enoch doesn't see himself being aligned with them as the sugar he created was made from the vapor/processed ashes of his dead subjects and not raw flesh (his subjects eat raw meat but its origins are likely not from human remains either). He does however have working relations with Lord Crumb, an alien disguised as a human known to have kidnapped other humans and used their organs as food for his alien restaurant, in the hopes of adding dessert to his menu using his sugar. While he is unlikely to ally with Crumb due to his loyalty to his alien kind and the fact that Enoch himself is a human who Lord Crumb could turn him into a buffet if Crumb or his kind had been more powerful, Enoch would occasionally receive non-Elsen human bodies for sugar processing and in exchange for immunity for his fellow guardians and their respective subjects.
    • He has a mixed reception among Corporate Executive deities, both good and corrupt ones as both seem to agree that whichever degree of worker's treatment they have is probably nothing compare to him, even if his operations are kind of effective. Enoch finds the good executives' judgment of him unfair while chastising the bad ones for being horrible to their workers or too self-centered to run their business properly (despite him being horrible to his subjects himself). That's also another reason why he can't ally himself with the House of Flesh Eaters, the good ones hate him while he's too disgusted to align himself with the bad ones. While we don't know how he treats his workers and we do know how he treats children as a sacrifice to appease the ancient forces he served via deceptive practices, Conal Cochran is kind of mixed on his whole thing as Enoch is doing this to serve the people he was supposed to protect rather say appease the Queen he's serving under. Because her father and later herself run a Food Plant, Haru Okumura is horrified and disgusted by both the "sugar" and Enoch's treatment of his workers for allowing them to suffer from their addiction to the substance. She plans to propose in leaving him a calling card to her teammates but time will tell if this plan goes through or not.
    • Upon hearing that Dedan and Japhet have managed to find individual allies of their own, Enoch wanted to find an ally who can relate to him, but due to his tainted reputation among other gods, it took him a while for him to get one. He later found an unlikely ally in the form of Kyubey, who came to him after the Weasel-like Deity's experiences with The Batter and wanting to learn more information about the Divine Purifier, seeing The Big Guardian as the more "reasonable" (i.e. emotionally stable) Guardian of the three. He was one of the few gods who didn't see anything wrong with using Magical Girls as emotionally charged batteries to prevent Heat Death, rewarding their services with wishes that they wanted (any consequences being their fault), and feeding their Soul Gems with Grief Seed, which are made from other fallen Magically Girls. While their goals are different, with Kyubey being unable to understand Enoch's wanting the happiness of his subjects (and doesn't anything wrong with the immoral use of bodies) and Enoch not worrying about maintaining his world due to himself being its "living engine", they do understand each other with regards to doing their noble goals by any means necessary. After they stuck a deal, with Enoch providing information about The Batter and in return for the Weasel-like Deity promising to find a way to retrieve any dead human bodies that are affected by the Witch's Kiss should he get his Witch system reinstated, Kyubey scurried out of his office before any other Magical Girl can see him.

[up] For insane rulers, there's Konrad von Carstein whose extreme insanity left him incredibly paranoid and irrational to the point where he killed his necromancers for apparently mocking his lack of magical talent, not to mention Konrad was adamant in wanting to remain the only member of the von Carstein. Of course, he's a raving madman who likes to kill anybody he can when on the battlefield. Aerys Targaryen is another king who was defined by his madness and insanity, with his final words being a proclamation to burn down Westeros.

Lord Recluse is the leader of Arachnos, a supervillain organization and also has the Rogue Isles established as a legitimate UN-signed nation as a way to make his rule legal. His lieutenants, known as Patrons tend to be incredibly competitive against each other as well as having plans to usurp Lord Recluse for leadership. It's made clear that Arachnos is mainly held together because of Lord Recluse's pragmatism and ensuring loyalty from others and knows that in case he's inactive his Patrons' competitiveness towards each other and their own desires would likely destabilize Arachos as they don't have the same level of fear factor or pragmatism as Lord Recluse does.

Anakin Skywalker turned to the service of Palpatine because he was desperate to save his wife Padme. However, him trusting an unrepentant Sith Lord as well as relying too much on his emotions and anguish instead end up killing Padme and thus develops a sense of self-loathing and bitterness towards others as Darth Vader, firmly thinking he's irredeemable. Even then, Vader tries to convince himself that he's serving the Galactic Empire out of a desire to maintain order in the Galaxy as some form of coping mechanism.

Reposting the Six Sages, now bulked up to a good standard and with approvals being open. Anything more I can add, or are they good to go?

  • The land of Hyrule is one of prosperity and diversity, with several races coming together to represent their homeland, regardless of their differing societies, ethics, and understanding of the world. That said, while familiar, neither of these races was fully united with one another, that is until destiny called for the Hero of Time to be appointed to side with the then-princess of Hyrule, Zelda, to fight against the King of Evil and reincarnation of Demise, Ganondorf Dragmire. Unfortunately, by the time they were needed, Hyrule had fallen into despair and darkness by Ganondorf's machinations under seven years, but the efforts partook by the aforementioned hero, Link, eventually paid off as he ventured throughout the corrupted Hyrule and freed each part of the land from Ganon's control. In doing so, he awakened a figure that he knew personally as a child as someone who would take it up for themselves to represent their race as well as protect their home and the Sacred Realm, the Sages. These included Saria, a Kokiri and childhood friend of Link's, Darunia, a Goron leader who saw Link as a blood brother, Ruto, princess of the Zoras who was saved by Link and jokingly expressed a desire to marry him, Impa, Zelda personal attendant and a Sheikah who was among the first to trust and support Link, and Nabooru, a Gerudo and Ganon's second-in-command who went against her leader's desires and decided to help Link in besting him. The head of the sages was Rauru, a Hylian and one of the last of the ancient sages who encountered and mentored Link under the guise of an owl named Kaepora Gaepora as well as entrusted him with finding and freeing the other five sages. Together, they worked together with Link and Zelda to defeat Ganon and save Hyrule, forever cementing themselves as important parts of their world's history and beings of reverence.
  • Due to their newfound occupation, the sages were forced to accept that they were chosen to look after and protect Hyrule with the penalty that they would have to sever any time they can have been in the land itself. Ultimately, they were never coming back to any acquaintances or loved ones they had, even after they made sure that Ganon was defeated and sealed. That said, they were recognized for their deeds and were commemorated just like Link and Zelda were for their contribution to saving Hyrule, ensuring that would be remembered for generations to come... until Ganondorf broke free from his seal and without a savior, the Gods were forced to drown Hyrule underwater with a great flood, creating the great seas, as well as Hyrule, Ganondorf, and everything related, the sages included, to be forgotten over the years. No one knows what really happened to them after their experience with Link, though it's likely they died naturally during their natural lives. This is only in the Adult Timeline; it is possible that Link would continue to keep in contact with the Sages as long as he could in the Child Timeline.
  • Their ascension into the Pantheon came as a response signal once Ganon began to make far grander preparations into the Pantheon and Link and Zelda were needy of allies around that time. Through their call to prayer and aid, five of the six sages responded and made their presence known to the Pantheon as soon as possible. Due to the dire situation involving Ganon, they were unable to properly learn about the new world they descended upon and were forced to help Link in thwarting Ganon during an intense battle, forcing the King of Evil to retreat. Having known them for a long time, Link was thankful for their aid, though Zelda, being their formal leader, told them to relax and to allow them to immerse themselves into the Pantheon for now. While they are guardians, Zelda assured that there are several in the new world that are dedicated to protecting the Pantheon and that the sages all earned a moment where they could relax and either explore or dwell freely and peacefully as they wished. The sages complied and were happy to listen, with the exception of Rauru, who respected Zelda's actions but chose to instead continue to look out for her, Link, and the Sages, believing that as the last of the original sages, he still wants to uphold his duty, to which Zelda accepted.
  • Given how different the Pantheon is in comparison to Hyrule, the Sages are a lot more relaxed in the former, especially when they were told by Zelda that Ganon has far more goes and there are several figures who are dedicated to fighting for good. Considering how many friends and close ones they have, it certainly seemed like a blessing that they can find time to hangout with them, as well as Link and Zelda, with Saria and Ruto being excited to venture out to further forests and watery bodies rather than just their own native homes in Hyrule, Darunia to be happy about how his race has persevered throughout the ages whilst feeling sympathetic about the other races withering away due to several reasons, and Nabooru being interested in any opportunity to prove herself a worthy thief and leader whilst upholding honourable values and ethics. Impa, the only sage who wasn't ascended with the other five as she was already in the Pantheon, and Rauru, on the other hand, are the ones most dedicated to being active when it comes to opposing evil, though it's mainly because of just how devoted they are to defending Zelda and Hyrule. Overall, while still devoted to Hyrule and it's safety, they've taken the Pantheon seriously as well, aware that alongside making new friends, they are likely to be making additional enemies as well.
  • One of the first figures the Sages found admiration and respect towards were the Fellowship of the Ring, given that their journey to stop a great evil, namely Sauron, as well as them encountering many who would support the Fellowship in their journey and struggles, were pretty relatable with Link's not to mention Aragorn and Zelda, being co-guardians of the House of Royalty, were already pretty good friends before the Sages ascended. From there, both parties expressed curiosity in learning about one another and despite several differences, the fact that they chose to do good in spite of them having racial differences were enough for them to become well-acquainted with each other, with Legolas being interest to explore Kokiri Forest and the Lost Woods while Gimli was eager to see if the dwarves can settle in Death Mountain, claiming that volcanos aren't something to be deterred by for them. On the other hand, Saria got to learn about Fangorn Forest from the group and was quick to visit the place under supervision, befriending Treebeard and the Ents due to them being forest guardians and Treebeard being impressed by Saria's compassion and her desire to see the Ents, Kokiri, and Koroks join together to represent a harmonious unity of Plant People.
    • Of course, given what they managed to learn from Middle-earth, the sages were very quick to be in high alert from the threats that terrorized those lands, most particularly Sauron and Melkor as their mighty power and fear is similar to that of Ganon's and they've expressed worry about the fact that they are willing to target Hyrule for conquest, especially given that Ganondorf himself is one of Melkor's Four Horsemen. Though, oddly enough, the sages have more conflict against Sauron due to Melkor having to deal with other matters against other heroes and rival villains while Sauron has partaken the opportunity to be more engaged and active in direct battle. Despite no longer being under his master's services, the Lord of the Rings still desires to tear Hyrule asunder so that he can impose his own order upon the world, and given how he governed Modern and the treatment of his own allies, the sages are adamant in fighting back. Saria also personally condemns Sauron and, by extension, Saruman, for his act of tearing down Fangorn Forest to make way for industrializing his orcs to convert them into Uruk-hai for war, which meant that several plants and the forest's inhabitants, the Ents included would be endangered. On the other hand, Sauron thinks little of the sages, choosing to focus his wrath on Link and Zelda instead whereas Saruman is not above smiting Saria if she ever dares to confront him.
  • While the sages treasure the Master Sword for being the Blade of Evil's Bane as well as Link's primary weapon, they were keen enough to also see if there were swords of similar nature in the Pantheon. Alas, they stumbled across the fabled Sword Calibur, which was a sentient sword that desired order and the opposition of Soul Edge above all else. Despite its outward benevolence to the point where the sages were once convinced the blade sought a noble purpose, Soul Calibur was, in truth, unfettered and unforgiving in its desire and anybody who disagrees with its beliefs or sides with Chaos, regardless of their alignment, should be destroyed. Link himself was no stranger to Soul Edge either, having battled its physical manifestations, Nightmare, and Inferno, before, and even he became wary of Soul Calibur's actual nature, with him, Zelda, and the sages choosing to stand in opposition against both swords as they think they're too extreme in their goals. Soul Calibur simply sees said opposition as a disappointment whereas Soul Edge views the eight as nothing but cattle for slaughter. Of course, the sages and their allies focus their enmity more on Soul Edge due to its openly destructive desires and nature, though they did find some allies to support, including Siegfried, Sophitia, Cassandra, Hilde, Kilik, Xianghua, and Maxi, for being willing to fight for what they think is right. In particular, the sages took an interest in Cassandra as she ended up traveling back in time to prevent a Bad Future from happening, much like Link when he picked up the Master Sword and went into a deep slumber for 7 years, waking up just in time to vanquish Ganon's evil influence throughout Hyrule.
  • The Warhammer World, despite its many differences and its bleak nature and strife, was still a place that the sages felt confident about visiting. It helped that Link and Zelda were able to get in the good graces of The Empire and become allies with their rulers, Karl Franz and Sigmar Heldenhammer as well as taking up arms to protect what remains of Bretonnia until one of its inhabitants ascends in the Pantheon. That said, there's not much luck in allies as most of the beings they've encountered have been hostile. For one, Malekith, despite his pitiful past and circumstances as well as being a little better than before his ascension, was the antithesis of a good monarch that Zelda represented, though the Witch-King only sees the sages as tertiary adversaries and only really sees Link and Zelda as actual threats to the point where he commends the former for his swordsmanship, reputation, and feats. The sages were terrified to learn of Archaon, mainly because of his relentlessness in his goals as well as being successful in achieving them. The fact that Archaon has no compunctions about destroying his own world as well as others to validate his misanthropic nihilism and seeing the sages as delusional and hopeless for believing in what he thinks is a wasteful belief only furthers the sextet's enmity towards him.
    • On the other hand, Saria and Darunia were able to find some sort of personal company in the Warhammer World. For the former, she was able to befriend Orion, King of the Wood Elves and God of the Hunt, simply because she was a denizen of the forest, meant no harm, and even extended an offer for the Wood Elves to open up and start accepting others into their forests of Athel Loren. Per usual of his race's territorial nature, Orion declined the acceptance offer, albeit outside of those attuned to nature, but respected Saria's open-minded and kind-hearted nature. He even found interest in listening to her playing the ocarina and finding the music rather soothing for him and his kind. As a gesture of the two of them being on good terms, the Kokiri and Koroks are allowed in Athel Loren, though Orion is still reluctant to allow the other sages in his homeland. Though considering Link being a humble hero and Zelda wanting to have Hyrule be represented by all of her land's races on an equal note and on peaceful terms, the King of the Wood Elves might consider having the duo come to his forests at some point. Darunia, on the other hand, became well-accustomed with the Dwarfs, with the fact that they and the Goron share various quirks like being mountain dwellers, representing strength, and having a business in mining allowed the Goron chieftain to endear himself with the other race quite quickly. He and Thorgrim Grudgebearer, in addition to becoming friends, also want to make sure that their races can work well together to promote racial working relationships in the Pantheon, though, considering the dwarfs' obsession with revenge, Darunia has been making sure to be careful about upsetting them.
  • While their worlds are very different from one another Hyrule very much enjoys a good relationship with the Mushroom Kingdom, primarily because not only do they have a royal monarch who is loved and appreciated by most, but also have a hero who has gone down in history as their most celebrated figure. Of course, the sages would respect Mario, Peach, and their closest friends with the Mr. Nintendo was delighted to visit Hyrule either as a simple visitor or as a racing competitor. The sages remind Mario of a few collective figures who have helped him throughout his stories, namely the Star Spirits, which helped in him being endeared by their many quirks and traits alongside being revered for their contribution to protecting Hyrule. Of course, Bowser became a figure of enmity due to sharing Ganon's nature of being unabashedly evil, but the Koopa King doesn't really hold any animosity towards them, simply seeing them as adversaries he'd have to fight. Unlike Ganon, Bowser can be a good sport towards them, being open to the idea of competing against Darunia for a sumo wrestling match after hearing how Gorons have an interest in said sport or betting them to race against him, even if those odds are very unlikely.
  • They also found interest in the world of Tamriel and its many races and locales, with Darunia finding great intrigue towards the mountain mines and settlements left behind by the Dwemer as well as Rauru being willing to learn about the many deities and beings that are revered and spoken greatly of there. Of course, the sages were quickly told to be alert of Alduin, whose destructive power, hubris, and malice was reminiscent of that of Ganon's and they knew they needed to fight the dragon to defend Tamriel. There was a potential ally in the Dovahkiin who, much like Link, was a being prophesied to stop a great evil from laying waste to the world, that being Alduin, who despite his role in having to destroy the world to lead the way of having it be reborn, decided to instead conquer it to assert his dominance and evil. Unfortunately, unlike most other heroic figures, the Dovahkiin turned out to be unscrupulous and uncompromising a lot of the time. He personally doesn't mind the sages and even allows them to help him, but they think the Dovahkiin's insistent need to kill dragons is rather excessive and he needs to rein it down, something that's been difficult to do so. Even then, the sages ended up having a tense working relationship with the Dragonborn, affirming that while he is a hero, his own flaws and inherently violent nature are something he needs to work and improve on.
  • Being part of a race that is eternally stunted to be a child and cannot grow up, Saria does get some form of melancholy as this was one of the reasons Link had to leave her and the Kokiri, despite their close friendship, though, they may have contributed to remain in contact if her own song is of any indication. That, and being a guardian of the forest meant that she had to take up a number of responsibilities that were a lot for anybody, let alone a forever child. Fortunately, with the Pantheon offering her a less stressful and peaceful time, Saria was able to take up the opportunity to see if she can make new friends in these new realms. To her delight, she met Peter Pan, whose appearance as well as his companionship with Tinkerbelle were incredibly reminiscent of the Kokiri race. Pan expressed excitement over seeing someone biologically similar to him offered to be a friend to Saria in the hopes that he can also flyby to her Domain and have fun, which she accepted. Tinkerbelle herself also came to appreciate the Kokiri, though her occasionally bossy and temperamental nature has allowed for a few wacky events, much to Saria's chagrin.
    • Being a guardian of the forests and being happy that the Koroks would continue her legacy in some way, Saira also became well-acquainted with beings associated with such or are floral in their physiology, such as the Toads and Swamp-Thing, who have expressed their support for the Kokiri girl and have wished her to make the most out of her time in the Pantheon, with Swamp-Thing, in particular, being fiercely protective of Saria as her not being a combatant means he would want to make sure she doesn't get into trouble due to her nature as a safe, though Saria affirms that she's fine either way. To the surprise of many, herself included, she's even befriended Poison Ivy for their attunement to nature. Saria admits to being a bit creeped out by Ivy's ferocity and reputation as a supervillainess, but Ivy herself, despite her flaws, doesn't like to harm children and with Saria being that, in addition to representing nature and being an ancestor to a race of diminutive Plant People, she has quite the soft spot for her, allowing the Kokiri to come by her domain at any time. Saria only wishes that Ivy hopefully changes for the better, but her cynicism is something that's hard to convince, which worries the younger girl.
  • As a water guardian as well as being a part of royalty, Ruto saw herself meeting and befriending a couple of deities who were similar to her, namely Ariel, King Triton, Melody, Aquaman, Undyne, and Rikuo, and all of them sometimes gather together to discuss any events and ideas on what is going on with the waters as well as what they can do. Ruto is honestly eager to help out, though her brash nature has been compared to that of Ariel's on occasion, which is probably why the two tend to be closer confidants than one would expect, as well as finding Triton rather funny for reminding Ruto of her own father. As a survivor of her kind getting frozen, she could relate to Rikuo's former nature of being lonely and despondent and is happy to learn that he found a mate and got a happy ending at some point, and sees Aquaman and Undyne as fun people to hang out and compete against, with the two of them being impressed by Ruto's aquatic prowess. Thanks to her reputation, the Zoras have managed to be welcomed in Atlantis and Atlantica as a sign of goodwill, and Ruto wishes this can be held for as long as possible, wanting her kind to heal and thrive after having been frozen by Ganon for seven years. That said, she's come to dislike the Sea King for his brutal and savage nature as well as his motivation for wanting to terrorised others, though, to her dismay, he's actually attracted to her, which ends up with her simply having to blurt out that he's not her type and would much rather prefer someone like Link.
  • Since Ganon's exile and imprisonment, Nabooru has taken measures to lead the Gerudo to a more respectful and cooperative direction, and is happy to learn that her kind would eventually continue thriving, though this is certain for only one possible timeline. While still a thief and dwelling in the deserts, Nabooru has made it clear her targets are not-so-innocent people and makes a point to not harm or kill innocents. As a result, she's made good friends with fellow thieves like Carmen Sandiego, Catwoman, and Nami, who have all had an extensive career as thieves and Nabooru was admittedly impressed by what they had achieved. Ever since Link proved himself worthy and made the Gerudo more open about males, though still territorial towards them, Nabooru had a high opinion on Cassim for being a master thief and having a great sense of honor and respect to the point that he would even invite her for some good conversations about their experience. She considered reaching out to Cassim's son, Aladdin due to his own history of being a thief to make up of his status as a beggar, she's alright with him now pursuing a royal lifestyle and decided that Cassim's desires for his son matter more.

[up][up] Seeing as I previously wanted to ascribe Jumping Off the Slippery Slope to him, I can see an interaction with Malygos, who was the Aspect (essentially a ruler) of the Blue Dragonflight who was charged by the Titans with overseeing magic on Azeroth. After said world experienced many devastating events, such as a legion of demons and Malygos' own Dragonflight nearly getting rendered extinct by a corrupted friend, Malygos began seeing all magic users as the source of Azeroth's problems and waged a war to purge them all, which forced his brothers and sisters to put him out of his misery. Whether Dedan, Japhet, and Enoch would be friends or enemies with Malygos, I wouldn't know; Malygos' war on magic users nearly destroyed the world via messing with its ley lines. But he never intended to destroy the world and even tried to adjust the ley lines so it would only destroy the bases of his enemies. Of course, if any of those three are capable of magic and irresponsible with them, he's gonna want them dead.

And for clarification, when doing reworks, is it preferred to maintain continuity of a character's profile: treating them as a "sequel" in a sense? Or are reworks more-or-less "retcons" in the Pantheon? Cause I was going to have King of Sorrow's current role as Klonoa's Herald be involved in his ascension. But it feels weird to say "He was this dude's herald but then that dude was informed that his High Priests should be Heralds as well", and I came up with an effective alternative for how King of Sorrow can ascend (assuming the Pantheon is effectively an afterlife for characters who canonically died in their settings).

EDIT- [down] Thanks! I'm thinking I'll try to find a compromise between the two ^^

Posting updated Lucrezia draft. To be honest I feel as if the characters I'm working on have been moving in one particular direction interaction-wise if that makes sense. So I'm going to ask totally different prompts for suggestions.

She has a lot of interactions with deities associated with possession/mind control or evil/abusive parents but there's more to her. Are there any deities who fit archetypes like The High Queen or (for ladies) God Empress? Given a plot twist in GG — spoilers for Volume 19 (posted on Dec. 2018) over here on p041, p042, & p043 to read if you don't mind spoilers — they seem like natural enemies. Also, given that same Vol. 19 plot twist, are there any deities related to Time Travel who would either be opposed to or work with her? I hope what I wrote for her profile gives enough of a gage as to her personality type.

Lucrezia Mongfish:

Lucrezia Mongfish, Goddess of Taking Over Bodies (The Other, The Goddess, The Eternal Lady, Lucrezia Heterodyne, The Muse of Time, Enigma, The Lady of Sharp Crystal)

The "Lady of Sharp Crystal"
SPOILER: Very likely her earliest appearance
  • Lesser Goddess individually, but her multiple bodies makes it hard to pin down an exact rank.
  • Symbol: The Mongish Family Crest
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil with Chaotic Evil hints
  • Portfolio: Body Snatcher, Demonic Possession via Brain Uploading, Evil Matriarch, Ambiguously Human (Virtual Ghost? Cyborg?), Mad Scientist Spark, Evil Genius, Control Freak, Big Bad, It's All About Me, Goddess of a Religion of Evil, Creator of Parasite Zombies, Possesses Multiple People At Once, Evil Overlady, Time Traveler To Add To Confusion, The Dreaded, Psychopathic Womanchild, Cybernetics Clearly Do Something Nasty To Your Soul, Mad Scientist's Beautiful Daughter (And Evil Daughter), Abusive Parent, Femme Fatale, Godhood Seeker
  • Domains: Mind Control, Possession, Body Swapping, Parasites, Slavery, Evil, Super-Technology
  • Heralds: The Geisterdamen (Lady Vrin, Eotain, Shurdlu, Bwoosee, Pojee), Prince Aaronev Wilhelm Sturmvoraus, Madwa Korel, the King of the Argurons, Francisia Monahan
  • Allies: The Master, Emperor Palpatine, Melkor, Dante (FMA), Fawful, Ghetsis Harmonia, Springtrap, Cronus, Ra's al Ghul
  • Rivals: Ragyo Kiryuin, Xehanort's Incarnations, The Shadow Queen
  • Enemies: Agatha Heterodyne (her daughter), Klaus Wulfenbach, Violetta, Subject Delta, Ryuko Matoi, Satsuki Kiryuin, Robin (FE), Leah (Diablo), Medivh, Irisviel von Einzbern, and Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn, Batman, Dipper, Mabel & Stan Pines, Lelouch vi Britannia, Charles zi Britannia, Princess Peach, Cinderella, Kzer-Zah, Kor-Ah
  • Conflicting Opinion: Dr. Sofia Lamb, Cackletta, Death Phantom
  • Lucrezia Mongfish was one of three daughters of the evil scientist Lucifer Mongfish. Following in the footseps of her father, Luzrezia developed technology such as Summoning Engines (which could replace someone's personality with her own) and Slaver Wasps (parasites that turn people into Revenants that obey her every command). She led a conquest and enslavement of Europa under the legendary alias of "the Other", but later she married Bill Heterodyne and became the mother of Agatha Heterodyne before 'disappearing'. Thanks to her Summoning Englines she was able to return in various forms by taking over bodies, including none other than an older Agatha until she was (for lack of a better term) exorcised.
  • It was an otherwise nice morning in the Pantheon when the Baron Wulfenbach got a letter from a Vespiary Squad unit, reporting unusual activity. Various priests in some temples were seen acting odd, and upon further investegation it was found they all had slaver wasps. With haste the Baron sent letters to the GUAL leadership, GUAG leadership, and Agatha with a dreadful message; the Other had entered the Pantheon.
  • Letting Lucrezia Mongfish into the Pantheon is either one of Melkor's smartest ideas or his stupidest - probably both. When news that Agatha Heterodyne had successfully extracted an evil super-intelligence from her brain, the GUAE learned about the Other and immediately went to work on getting a copy of her personality. A long time passed trying to reverse-engineer a Summoning Engine and when they finally did it, Lucrezia found herself in the body of a priestess. She then pointed out all of the flaws in the reverse-engineered machine before accepting membership into the league devoted to world domination. Lucrezia is now as loyal to Melkor as any other member of the GUAE (which is to say, not really loyal but obedient out of necessity) as an expert on mind control technology.
    • Lucrezia is rarely consistent with her appearance. This is because more often than not Lucrezia appears possessing the body of some random priestess who (by choice or not) became her host - either that or a robot made for her. People who deal with her frequently keep ever-changing lists of the current "Lucrezias" walking about.
  • Inside Lucrezia's temple guarded by her Geisterdamen, you will find a curtain hiding a giant Summoning Engine. It's not unheard of for the Geisters to single out a promising mortal woman from among the worshipers to be a "fortunate" host for the Eternal Lady. The Geisterdamen make up her elite force and are slavishly loyal to her (mostly).
  • For rather obvious reasons, Agatha Heterodyne and Klaus Wulfenbach have both been adamantly opposed to Lucrezia. Violetta too is a sworn enemy. Especially Klaus, who has discovered almost a million Slaver Wasps in the GUAL's mortal army within the first week of Lucrezia's ascension, and has thus been causing his alliance to butt heads with the GUAE. The two alliances have been preparing for a coming full-on war over this issue. The Baron in the meanwhile has been leading a one-man crusade of sorts; he claims to have killed 3 'Lucrezias' with his bare hands so far, and she still has backups. On Lucrezia's side of things the feeling is mutual but she actually hates her daughter Agatha more, being livid over getting forced out of her head.
  • The one villain she has gotten along with better than any other is a certain Time Lord known as The Master. In fact, a few deities were surprised to learn that Lucrezia and The Master aren't the same person ... or so we think they aren't. Even if they aren't the same they might as well be given how much they get along. The two have bonded over their shared plans of conquest (along with their many other commonalities like possession and duplicating), which makes some speculate that either they're in love (aww, how horrifying!) or they're the same being. Surprisingly neither of them have planned to backstab each other ... yet ... or at least not openly ... we think ...
  • She's on particularly good terms with than Emperor Palpatine. Darth Sidious can't help but respect the Other for pulling off a far more successful possession gambit than his one in The Rise of Skywalker. Lucrezia, in turn, showed the closest thing to humility she could when her mere giggle was overshadowed by his full Evil Laugh. Safe to say, given their shared goals of universal enslavement, the two evil overlords and overladies get along like birds of a feather.
  • She's tried reaching out to other like-minded deities in the Pantheon with varying degrees of success. Dante (from FMA) and Springtrap/William Afton have gotten along due to similar habits.
  • When Lucrezia first met Sofia Lamb, she couldn't help but point out how much they have in common in both being antagonistic mothers obsessed with controlling everyone. Sofia was revolted at how the narcissist Lucrezia saw herself in the oh-so-wise Sofia Lamb ... but she didn't have much of an argument against that point. Sofia is convinced the Other was trying to mess with her but she still feels insulted by the comparison anyways. Doesn't help that Dr. Lamb is in the same Grand Unified Alliance as a certain Baron. Subject Delta agrees with her assesment which is why he and Lucrezia are enemies.
  • Satsuki Kiryuin (joined by friend and sister Ryuko Matoi) utterly loathes the Other given how she reminds her all too much of her own brainwashing, world-dominating, horrible mother. She already hates anyone planning world domination, but Lucrezia crossed an extra moral line for Satsuki in violating people's free will. The trauma from being abused by her awfully similar mother Ragyo doesn't help at all.
    • On the topic of Satsuki; if Luzrezia is an Eviler than Thou Dr. Lamb, then Ragyo Kiryuin is an Eviler than Thou Lucrezia. Lucrezia has found herself opposed to Ragyo - less because of moral objections (although even she is disturbed by the rape stuff), and more because she wants to be the one to brainwash and enslave humanity, damnit! Lucrezia thinks it takes a European Blue Blood to take over the world. Plus unlike Ragyo's bloody rape and torture, Lucrezia's form of mind control is elegant thank you very much (or at least that's what she tells herself to sleep at night).
  • She has some competition in the form of Xehanort ... well, forms. Between their use of multiple bodies, their possessing of heroes, their time travel, their orchestrating of evil, and their plans for world domination means the Xehanorts and Lucrezias of the Pantheon are Too Much Alike and thus regularly plotting against each other. As for who is winning in the copetition ... we're not entirely sure, and it's likely the participants aren't sure either. It seems Lucrezia has strength in numbers while Xehanort has stronger powers, but that could very well just be what both of them want us to think.
  • When (s)he learned about Lucrezia for the first time, Robin was immediately reminded of their dreadful experience with Grima. The fact that it's heavily implied Lucrezia originally conceived Agatha to be nothing but another body for her, just like how Robin's parent bred them to be a vessel for Grima to possess, makes Robin hate Lucrezia all the more. In fact, just about every single deity who was Raised as a Host has sworn to enact justice on Lucrezia for her evil - this includes Leah, Medivh, Irisviel von Einzbern, and Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn. All of them feel - from personal experience - that Lucrezia had crossed a serious moral line in not only taking over her daughter's body, but in showing no qualms with pretty-much-killing her. Even Princess Peach had a grudge (due to her experience with the Shadow Queen).
  • Lucrezia can't help but admire Ghetsis Harmonia for his ambition, as well as for being an exemplar of parenting. Old Dennis can't help but agree with the Other.
  • When Bill Cypher met one of her copies that was messing around with Things Man Was Not Meant to Know, he first tried to trick her, but soon realized he was dealing with more than your typical human. Bill was actually quite impressed she could get to the level Luzrezia did and ended up giving her Villain Cred where Villain Cred is due. Similarly, Dipper & Mabel have found themselves opposed to Lucrezia but not for her interaction with Bill. It started when Dipper noticed strange wasps flying around his part of the pantheon, so he went on another one of his paranormal sleuthing adventures and uncovered one of Lucrezia's slaver-wasp conspiracies. She has vowed vengence on them, mentioning to Mabel how good a vessel she'd make, but Grunkle Stan is having none of that.
  • Not all demons see Lucrezia as an ally; the Shadow Queen looks at Lucrezia as an uppity mortal and as competition. However they are both deeply indebted to Melkor (as he brought them both to the Pantheon), who demands they put aside any quarrels for the good of the alliance. As a result, the competition between the two is to see who can do more for the GUAE.
  • Death Phantom, despite his disdain for any and all living things, can't help but admire Lucrezia's technological innovations. He still hates her, mind you, but not for the reasons most people hate her.
  • Another humanity-hating deity that made contact with Lucrezia is Agent Smith, who happens to have similar body-snatching abilities - unsurprisingly an egotistical human and a (very egotistical) misanthrope don't get along. Oddly enough, when she first heard about Agent Smith, Lucrezia's first thought was to figure out if she can turn herself into a computer virus like him - she is a Spark after all. So far it hasn't worked but it's made progress in making Smith angry.
  • She has recently been working on projects with Ra's al Ghul after learning he developed similar body-snatching technology, so they are both trying to improve their tech together. One notable instance recorded in Batman Beyond (namely S3E4 'Out of the Past'), in which he possessed his daugter Talia's body to cheat death, peaked her interest. On the topic of the Dark Knight, Batman has found himself working more with other GUAG members in taking down yet another villainess (not least because, in the same aformentioned instance, Ra's tried to take over his body like he did his daughter and he doesn't want a repeat).
  • One of her many partners in Mad Science would be Fawful, a similarly insane evil scientist. Lucrezia is actually quite facinated by how, in a reversal of the typical scenario, Fawful let himself be possessed for his own benefit (even if it reminds her of her niece Zola a bit). She has a strained relationship with Fauful's former superior Cackletta; on one hand Cackletta sees the talent that Fawful sees in her, but she can't get past what Lucreza could do to her daughter.
  • Lelouch vi Britannia despises her because she reminds him of both his mom and dad. His dad Charles was an evil conquerer, but his lesser-known mother Marianne vi Brittania herself was a body snatcher as well, who cheated death by hiding in the body of a little girl for years. Charles zi Britannia himself opposes Lucrezia too, but for different reasons; personality-wise she's the exact kind of person he wants less of in his "perfect world".

@ lawliet: Punishing Bird, Judgment Bird, and Big Bird all sought to prevent ruin within the Black Forest which will end with the arrival of a beast as detailed in prophecy. In doing so, they end up causing its decline exactly as foretold. Punishing Bird became a feared executioner, Judgment Bird rigged his scales to yield clear verdicts, and Bird Bird intensely watches the forest and even commits Mercy Kills to "save" others from the beast. Their efforts result in the creatures living in fear of the birds, to which the birds lament their lack of appreciation. They eventually got the idea to combine their might to form one large bird, Apocalypse Bird, and scared any remaining forest inhabitants.

Emily herself doesn't start off as such in 2 but can grow into it on a Low Chaos ending.

Let's throw in a couple ideas from one of my favorite book series of all time, the Xeelee Sequence, all for tropes I'm surprised weren't already taken.

  • The Xeelee, deified Higher-Tech Species, as Overdeities under Extraterrestrial Abilities and Technological Experts
    • The Xeelee are advanced. 4, if not 5 on the Kardashev Scale levels of advanced. Their hyperdrives can very easily hop galaxies. Their standard-issue weapon, known as the Starbreaker, does just that. They wrote an AI into the very fabric of the universe in order to go back in time and alter their own evolutionary history. It took a million year-long war for them to even notice humanity, after which they sealed them into an nth dimensional prison so they'd stop annoying them.
    • And unlike Sufficiently Advanced Aliens, they're not beyond understanding. Their technology, while very clearly ridiculously superior to anything any other race can construct, is still understandable and even usable. The Squeem's biggest advantage versus humanity is salvaged Xeelee hyperdrives. The Qax make use of Starbreakers in their warships. Heck, a joke is thrown out in The Quagma Datum about how once a race finds out about the Xeelee, innovation is replaced with a drive to reverse-engineer Xeelee tech.

  • Bolder's Ring, divine Big Space Object, as a Dominion under Astronomical Bodies
    • And this is the Xeelee's magnum opus. A single, one-dimensional cosmic string millions of light-years across, so big that it manages to attract galactic superclusters towards it. And here's the kicker: It's an escape hatch. Specifically, the Xeelee spent billions of years dumping galaxy after galaxy into the Ring so that they could leave this universe.

  • The Spline, divine race of Living Ships, as Greater Gods under Extraterrestrial Appearance and Biology
    • The Spline are one of the recurring races of the Sequence. While they were once more akin to something like a whale, the Spline eventually decided to completely change their bodies into something more habitable. Granted, habitable doesn't necessarily mean comfortable; their insides still feel like a Womb Level. They make a living as spaceships, renting themselves out to other races for a handsome fee.

[up] Interesting choices you've got there, so [tup] for all three of them.

'When evil rules all, an awakening voice from the Sacred Realm will call those destined to be Sages, who dwell in the five temples. One in a deep forest... One on a high mountain... One under a vast lake... One within the house of the dead... One inside a goddess of the sand...'

Another reworking beta-draft, here's Atrocitus. I believe he was approved to be reworked on the same post when I suggested he have his trope changed from Bloodier and Gorier to Red Is Violent. Here's the post for reference

As for Atrocitus, are there any sole survivors, be it from their family, close groups, communities, or even race/planets? Anyone who went through great grief and those who were motivated by the rage of losing someone close. Of course, Vigilante Execution is to be expected in this case. I would also like characters who have a strong opinion about revenge/vengeance, be it positive or negative and for enemies, any obstructive authorities whose actions led to big consequences, tragedies, or disastrous events.

Any other suggestions and ideas are welcome.

  • Long ago, Atrocitus was once Atros, a simple man of Ryut who led an ordinary family life and a decent profession. That was until the Manhunters turned on all life, slaughtering everyone in his sector. Ever since that day, he has been Atrocitus, swearing revenge on the Guardians and their Green Lanterns for not only playing a role in his suffering but also for not upholding their standards as protectors of the cosmos, establishing a splinter organization known as the Five Inversions, representing the five survivors of Ryut. Eventually, following the Sinestro Corps War, Atrocitus would establish a creed and, creating a Lantern Power Battery via rage and blood, killed the remaining members of the Five Inversions to power it up. In doing so, Atrocitus created the Red Lantern Rings and became the first member and leader of his namesake Corps, now dedicated to finding like-minded individuals who have succumbed to rage and grief, whom Atrocitus saw as notable candidates for his Red Lantern Corps. Due to the rise of the Black Lanterns and numerous other events, Atrocitus has had to team up with the other Lantern Corps despite their difference, even including the successor of one of the Green Lanterns he killed, Abin Sur, and Thaal Sinestro, whom the two had a harsh enmity against each other. As of now, he's decided to keep the truce with the Green Lanterns up, as the Old Guardians are dead, and having other matters on his hands.
  • With the Pantheon seeing Nekron becoming an increasingly bigger threat until the Lord of the Living decided to amass an army dedicated to the destruction of all life, the Emotional Spectrum were quick in having to bring their representing Lantern Corps into the Pantheon as their way of furthering their influence as much as putting in whatever stops necessary to stop Nekron from achieving his desires. Of course, the Butcher bought Atrocitus along as its main patron saint and with it, the Red Lanterns announced their presence throughout a new galaxy by proclaiming their creed towards anyone they came across that they deemed "punishable". Recognizing what he had been led into, Atrocitus expressed anticipation and wariness, yet was still ready to carry out what his Corps were established to do. He was intrigued about the Pantheon upon the short time he traveled it shortly upon ascension and figured that with having to protect more, he would also be getting a shot at more recruitments into the Red Lantern Corps as well as the fact that the other Lantern Corps were also asserting their influence here, though Atrocitus didn't mind it. Since then, the leader of the Red Lanterns has dedicated himself and his corps to uphold their way of justice and ensure the Pantheon is safe, whether or not their methods are deemed to excessive and extreme by most.
  • Atrocitus is easily the most outwardly intimidating and fearsome of the Lantern Corps leaders and has proven himself to be among the most brutal and dreaded vigilantes in his own universe, not to mention the fact that he specifically makes a note that whoever he targets is truly deserving of getting punished. The Pantheon was no different; Atrocitus took advantage of scouring the House of Space and Cosmos and declared that he would take matters into his own hands regarding potential threats. He doesn't care about what either Guardian groups think about as due to his experience with the Guardians of the Universe, he doesn't have a very positive thought on authority in general. To his anticipation and satisfaction, the Red Lantern leader was impressed by the vast amount of deities and places the Pantheon offered as that means a better opportunity to expand his own Corps and improve the chances of defeating Nekron and exacting justice on the wicked. It helps that in addition to being feared as much as Sinestro, Atrocitus is as powerful as he is intelligent and quite understanding and sympathetic towards those who have went through tragedy, considering they are the very individuals that Atrocitus wants recruited as Red Lanterns as loss, grief, and sadness tend to be the strongest seeds of Rage, as attested by what he went through before becoming one of the universe's most ruthless vigilantes.

  • In Mexico towards the end of the Wild West era, the bandit chief Calvera was a recurring menace to a very poor village. After Calvera killed one of them, the villagers decided enough was enough and set out to buy weapons to fight the banditos. They met the Cajun gunslinger Chris Adams, who told them it would be wiser to hire skilled gunmen to defend them. He helped them do so by gathering six gunslingers down on their luck: Vin, a debt-ridden drifter who serves as Chris' right-hand man; Harry, a fortune-seeker; Bernardo, a former Bounty Hunter who's turned to chopping wood for a living; Britt, a terse cowboy skilled with both guns and knives; Lee, an ace shooter mentally worn down by the constant attempts on his life; and Chico, an overly eager Young Gun. Together with the villagers, whom they trained in the proper use of guns, they managed to kill Calvera and end his gang, though it cost Bernardo, Lee, Harry and Britt's lives. Chico put down his gun and stayed in the village, while Chris and Vin left in search of places where they could still be of use in a time when gunslingers were being displaced by civilization; Chris would lead other bands of seven three more times.
  • And the original iteration of the Magnificent Seven (as well as posterior iterations, in lesser roles) would see action again and forever when their time in the mortal world was past for all of them and they were reunited within the Pantheon. One can guess just how emotional it was for Chris to be reunited with his original comrades after all those years and with their deaths weighing on his mind, although as a hard man of the Wild West, he is not the type to express such feelings openly. Chico on the other hand couldn't hold back his tears, for which he was poked fun at. At any rate, in the Pantheon they shall try their best to defend the weaker inhabitants from those who would abuse them.
  • They did not take long to cross paths with the original band of seven hailing from the land of the rising sun, although they had a rough first meeting as the two groups were tasked with protecting rival villages that were accusing one another of villainy. After altercations between several of the individual members, the coolheaded leadership of Chris and Kambei prevailed as they sat down to talk things out and agreed they were all involved in a huge misunderstanding and technically desired the same results. After moderating between the two villages, the two groups agreed that an alliance would only make them all that much stronger and more competent in aiding downtrodden villagers. Some of the members do retain a little rivalry between them, but in healthy amounts; such is the case with Britt and Kyuzo, the deadliest members of their respective teams, who sometimes have kill competitions with each other. Chico and Kikuchiyo also butt heads a lot due to both being very Hot-Blooded, but at the same time are the most likely to bail each other out in a pinch; Chico is also rather close to Katsushiro due to their young age, though the calmer Katsushiro is sometimes aghast at Chico's impulsive nature.
  • They seek out similar alliances with any other groups that emulate their story; a related deity is the ant Flik, who once sought out a small yet talented group of insects to help his colony drive away a gang of grasshoppers that was draining their resources. Flik and the seven bugs quite frankly don't need their or the seven samurai's help to fight off enemies their own size and never seek them out for that purpose, but they're happy to use their particular skillset to annoy into distraction any bandits the seven happen to be fighting at the moment. In return, the seven (particularly Bernardo) have been known to scold any child deities who try to mess with Flik and his friends or other ant colonies.
  • A combination of impressive gunsmanship with a strong moral fiber has led to them becoming allies with the lonesome, drifting cowboy Lucky Luke. Given Luke always ends up helping out someone wherever he stops by and doesn't look for a reward, he easily came to like the Magnificent Seven for helping a poor village in exchange for extremely little pay, and persisted even after the villagers' fear of Calvera resulted in them getting run out. As Lucku Luke is always traveling around, it's not often that they see each other, but his help is very welcome when he chances to be close by, seeing as there's no faster gun than him (he even outspeeds Britt, who doesn't mind, but it sort of galls Chico). Other cowboys that might help out the seven once in a while include Cole Cassidy, and The Man with No Name. They've even gained the respect and alliance of the deadly martial artist Kenshiro, himself a sort of spiritual cowboy as he travels a lawless land to put things right where he can.
  • The people in the Pantheon who have hired the seven to protect them and/or their lands from bandits have included the widow Jill McBain, who's determined to make sure her late husband's dream isn't destroyed by anyone. Although Vin can be a bit of a flirt towards her, elliciting sharp-tongued responses from her, all seven are very respectful towards her, especially after hearing what a hard time she had protecting her home from a ruthless railroad tycoon and herself from his hired assassin.
    • Another interesting pair are Karl Oskar and Kristina Nilsson, who came from poor prospects in Sweden to find fortune in America, and have worked very hard to improve their lot and ensure their descendants would have a good life. The seven (except Chico, who actually got out before it was too late) have been known to lament that their life as gunslingers has denied them things such as stability or a family, so they tend to look at their protection of people such as the Nilssons, Jill and the poor Mexican village that gave them their fame as the most meaningful thing they can do.
  • Malicious bandits and outlaws are, of course, the seven's natural enemies, and they have locked horns quite frequently with the likes of Chakal and Yosemite Sam for the sake of defending the people they target. While Sam is just an angry little man who's easily dealt with by the seven's cool, tactical heads, Chakal is quite formidable, not only for his enormous physique, but his goal of attaining immortality and pillaging everywhere he can reach is on a scale of ambition that the seven have never seen before (Calvera was content with just taking advantage of the one village, after all). Still, that won't deter them from opposing him in any way they can; they may be only 7, but they will always fight like 700. Their bravery in standing up to Chakal has resulted in his old foes Manolo, Maria and Joaquin in extending them their friendship and aid, also as thanks for having defended a Mexican village.
  • Their friendship with that Mexican trio has in turn led to the seven becoming well-acquainted with Miguel Rivera and his deceased great-great-grandfather Hector, and their stories are rather reflective of the seven's beliefs regarding the value of having normal life vs seeking personal glory. The two Riveras' near-rejection of their family in favor of seeking a career in music is parallel to Chico's desire to leave his farmer origins behind in order to seek glory as a gunslinger. Hector was sadly murdered shortly after realizing his mistake, but Miguel learned in time that family was more important, similarly to how Chico's realization that the gunslinger's life was thankless and he should make something of himself as a farmer and start a family, a decision that his six colleagues wistfully agree was the correct one. The similar values shared by the seven and the Rivera family lead to the two groups getting along very well.
  • Harry is the most mercenary out of the seven, to the point where Chris lied to him as he died, letting him believe that they were fighting for a huge fortune hidden somewhere in the mountains. Hearing the truth upon ascending gave Harry pause that he died for nothing, but then again he was the one who returned to help them without prompting, and he decided none of it mattered anymore now that they were all in a place like the Pantheon, where they could all make their fortunes much more easily than in their mortal lives. But as money-driven as Harry is, he completely balks at the insane lengths some deities will go for it. In-between his jobs as part of the seven, he goes on independent fortune-seeking trips, and once partnered with Fred Dobbs, but became so disturbed by his murderous, paranoid behavior that he ran off on him in the night. Dobbs hasn't forgiven him since and swore to kill him in revenge. The rest of the seven are annoyed that Harry got them in a mess the rest of them have nothing to do with, although if push came to shove, they would shoot Dobbs to protect one of their own.

[up][up][up][tdown]...for now. Sorry to be the contrarian, but I feel each character should have a sub-profile as that's what tends to happen with group profiles. I will rescind my downvote once that's done

[up]And yet nobody forced me to do this when I did the Seven Samurai or multiple other group profiles I did. Look, I'm not going to force myself to write if it doesn't come naturally to me, and lately I've been having an actual hell of a time writing anything. The profile is finished, it has reached the requirements for being considered finished, I'd like to move on with my life, and that is that. "Sorry" if I didn't write an entire novel.
