Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

I know I may sound rather needy but I kindly asked many times for genuine feedback for Ludwig's rework. I'd like to ask again if there is feedback for me to work on his rework draft.

[up] I had given you some a while ago. But I'll repeat it here:

Steven Universe ended up transforming himself into a monster due to pent-up trauma and other issues causing his psyche to deteriorate. Eventually he was turned back to normal via a Cooldown Hug.

Alright.

The Chaos Kin is a Walking Spoiler who steals souls and cleaves open portals in and out of the Chaos Vortex with its tail. It can take control of its victims and they remain conscious while possessed but are unable to do anything about it. It eats souls and is rather fond of performing Kick the Dog moments, controlling someone or not. It was sealed in the Lunar Sanctum by Viridi but escaped when Pit destroyed it. It created 13 waves of most of the Mooks Pit had encountered throughout the game so far.

Any suggestions?

Princess Sakuna, Goddess of Rice (Sah-Sah)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cropped_sakuna.png
  • Sakuna is the daughter of Takeribi the warrior god, and Toyohana the harvest goddess, and was quite a brat, wanting for nothing, and relied on her parents' wealth and past successes. However, big change would come for her, and will forge her into a new and better goddess.
    • It all began with a group of mortals, refugees from a burned-down village (actually a brigand band turncoat, the late brigand leader's little son, and three almost-to-be-slaves [two kids and a foreign missionary]), who were crossing the bridge to the Lofty Realm. But the bandit Ishimaru and new leader of those brigands had followed them, intending to abduct the kids and murder the "samurai" leading them after they had first escaped him. Sakuna walked in the scene drunk, her presence interrupted the exchange (and an inadvertent insult from the bandit incited her to kick him off, sending him across time and space, which ultimately led to him commanding an army of demons), and her negligence to escort the refugees out led to them entering the Lofty Realm to gorge in her offering of rice at the divine garner for Kamuhitsuki. In the process of repelling them, the ceremonial oils inside the garner were ignited and the whole place went up in flames.
    • As a consequence, because the bridge linking the realms has since disappeared, the refugees led by the "samurai" Tauemon are forced to aid Sakuna in rectifying the disorder left in the wake of their bedlam. As for Sakuna herself, she's banished from the capital and sent to the Isle of Demons (also known as Hinoe Island, home of the Ashigumo tribe), where her parents Takeribi the warrior god and Toyohana the harvest goddess (and former mortal) had met, and defeated the evil god Omizuchi, who had swarmed the demons in pursuit of Toyohana. Her task is to expunge the demons infesting the island, find the source of where they spawn, and destroy it, as well as receive further orders there.
    • Eventually, with her accomplishments, after exposing a plot involving toxic rice, Sakuna was no longer banished, though the edict regarding the Isle of Demons remains. That said, even with her luxurious home back, she's come to worry about the humans under her charge, and eventually she decided to return to Hinoe Island. After several more seasons, subduing Ishimaru, who had been leading the demons, a volcanic eruption that set her back considerably, and a festival, she eventually took the fight to the reawakening Omizuchi, and vanquished him for the forseeable distant future, avenging her parents and liberating their souls in the process. It almost came at the cost of her and Tama's lives, but her parents' souls came to her rescue and exchanged theirs instead to bring her back, but not before expressing pride in their daughter and bidding her farewell.
  • Due to how critical the role rice plays in her story, the Court of the Gods have sent an envoy to Lady Kamuhitsuki with an invite for Sakuna to the Trope Pantheons. Intriged with this realm, though also confused as to the exclusivity of this invite, arrangements were made (such as a torii gate being set up at Sakuna's place) while Kamuhitsuki relayed this invite to Sakuna. Curious of this Pantheon as well, Sakuna accepted the offer to see what it has in store.
  • Sakuna's "temple" takes the form of her parents' home in Hinoe Island fully reclaimed as much as possible from the demons, complete with all its accomodations and field for planting, as well as the surrounding fields tended to by Tauemon and the kappas. Yui is also there, though Myrthe, Kinta, and Kaimaru have since returned to the Lowly Realm.
  • One of the first things she was familiarized with is how humanity's methods in agriculture have advanced over the centuries, and has to come to terms with how… impersonal it's become with the use of machinery, especially since there're way more people now to feed, not to mention it being exported, making her realize that rice has become that important of a commodity.
    • Having had a friend in Kokorowa, Sakuna isn't contemptuous of machines and their use, and is considering the rice reaper harvester for use in the fields, though it's currently offset by its need for maintenance.
  • Technically speaking, her powers are affected by the gokokuhojo (the five grains: rice, barley/wheat, soybean, and two species of millet), though rice happens to be the most commonly associated of them all to her.
  • Her rice gets sold off to the Lofty Realm's capital under the brand "Revered Ears", and the name is retained for sale in the Pantheon. There was a bit of laughing over the silly name, but the quality has since more than made up for it.
  • Since she's not in her world anymore, Sakuna ends up getting other goodies instead of "amber" (not the ancient solidified tree sap that might hold ancient insects) that comes from the Tree of Creation and whose form (the amber's) varies depending on the density of the spiritual energy accrued. Thankfully, there's a special deposit for her kind of amber at her temple for increasing her strength and enhancing her weapons/tools.
  • Usually, she uses her Divine Raiment to grab onto things, whether to reach places, pull herself behind a foe, pull them to her, pull herself to them, and so on. However, during the battle against Omizuchi, after making a pact with her Raiment, she's also able to conjure a barrier with it to absorb his attacks, and then unleash a pulse of divine energy.
  • If there are any bouncy or hazardous materials (bouncy mushrooms, spikes, lava) in the area, Sakuna is too willing to send enemies flying straight at them for extra damage and chances for combos.
    • Speaking of lava, she can cross falls of it easily with her raiment. Otherwise, it's "merely" extremely searing for a goddess like herself if she touches it.
  • Despite her short stature that can easily mistake her for a child (not helped with her attitude), she's a "hale and hearty adult", though given the last time she kicked someone off, it ended with him becoming the leader of demons, she shows more restraint in her disapproval of such comments.
  • As the daughter of a harvest goddess, she's in good standing with all the ascended farmers of the Pantheon, such as the Harvest Moon!Farmer and Applejack, and from them she learned about other ways of farming, such as fruit orchards, vineyards, etc.
    • Another she's allied with is Holo, who is also a harvest goddess. To the Wise Wolf, rice might not be her patronage, but it is still a symbol of wealth and bounty.
    • Another pair of farmers include Aden and Sonja, though they've also tamed monsters, something she's not plannning to do anytime soon given her home got raided last time one of her own had took in a wounded rabbit demon.
    • While neiher Lest nor Frey are ascended, Ventuswill, as a fellow supporter of farmers, gets along with Sakuna as well.
  • While Yanato is actually just an Expy of Japan, she still found herself drawn to the mother goddess Amaterasu, whom she had the pleasure of cooperating with in a battle once, and she witnessed on amazement firsthand the white wolf's power to purify the land, driving away the darkness and making nature flourish. Her son Chibiterasu is also a very precious little thing, and no less capable in battle.
  • As an immense lover of rice-based foods, Hanayo Koizumi has expressed her deepest gratitude to Sakuna's Revered Ears making her favorite dishes all the better.
  • While her demon slaying was only to purge an island infested by them under orders of Kamuhitsuki, she's drawn the attention of other demon slayers, and her attention was in turn drawn to the Doom Slayer. While the forces of Hell are more packed with ranged armaments (the closest she got to this was against Ishimaru's demon form, and later his specter), she still proved proficient enough and able to adapt with enough time, though fighting with others is still something she's getting used to. At least Doomguy thinks Sakuna is better at it than Aqua.
    • Speaking of Aqua, she is both amazed with her incredible power and skillset (especially against undead) and disappointed with her stupidity (that she's literally unable to improve due to her max level doesn't help) and laziness to levels worse than Sakuna pre-Character Development.
  • Given that she's technically a goddess, an envoy from the Divine Powers approached Sakuna in hopes of recruiting her to their side in their fight against YHVH, whom they claimed was an aspect of Formos, whom she was familiar with through Myrthe's speeches of Him. However, their aside on their opinions on mortals made it clear that they were untrustworthy, though she figures YHVH was still bad news anyway.
  • It wasn't hard to hate Zamasu given just who he is, nothing new there, but he has it out for her especially due to her "sinful" mortal heritage given her mother Toyohana used to be one before becoming a goddess, as well as her support for mortals. This is despite the fact that he's part-mortal due to being a fusion with the mortal Goku Black.
  • Given she employs the use of spiders, snails, and frogs as pest control for her rice fields, and has recently included crayfish and dragonflies on the list, Sakuna was approached one day by Muffet, who had a strange proposition to make. As long as her spiders aren't harmed by the goddess or those under her, the spider-girl will lend some to her fields (not that spiders are in short supply, anyway) in exchange for a few shares of rice. Sakuna could find no problems with this and accepted.
  • Given her powers rely on the harvest's bounty, she's naturally in opposition to those capable of sundering a land's capacity to grow crops, be it from volcanic ash, armies/raiders using "scorched earth" tactics, or pollution (like Hexxus). As such, she supports the Spring Sprite, and opposes the Firebird, though she's not sure what to think of Yveltal and his dynamic between the two.
  • Due to both having been from high standing at the start of their tales before falling from grace and having to work their way back up, she fostered an Odd Friendship with the Assassin Altair.
  • There are those who express squick in regards to kuchikamizake and how it's made. This is not the case for Sakuna, whose dominion also covers that… drink, since rice is one of its ingredients. As such, she holds respect for Mitsuha Miyamizu.
  • Having had to deal with rice that's like hers only to have an aftertaste that compels those who eat it to subsist on only that kind, she dislikes those who would manipulate their food (or their competitors) via unnatural means for any reasons, usually for getting sales.
  • Holds contempt for those who usurp a group and turn it from good to bad, given the brigand band Tauemon was part of used to be Robin Hood-style] before [[spoiler:Ishimaru killed the leader and took over with his Might Makes Right philosophy. Shredder is one prime example of this, and she opposes all of them, with the 1987 incarnation being regarded less of a threat compared to all the others. Another are the Corpus with their care for nothing but profit.
  • (Who else has done solo defense missions, like Cuphead and Mugman in rescuing Lady Chalice?)
  • Has contempt for defeated villains who refuse pity from heroes, and being Defiant to the End just like Ishimaru, such as Tai Lung, Lord Shen, and Junko Enoshima. Their arrogance, genocide, and despair plot respectively make them worse still.

@ DoodSlayer136: I feel like there could be something with the Rock of Ages. Where it comes from, all major battles in history are won by throwing giant boulders down a hill against the enemy's gate. The series it hails from is quite silly in its own right too as many historical figures, folktale figures, and even the Flying Spaghetti Monster have gotten involved in the sacred art of chucking giant rocks at the gates of the base housing the cowardly enemy while they bravely sit in the confines of their base protected by a gate of their own.

@ Crimson: Isola (The Falcons) is an Adept Idol Singer who uses her Septima, Companion, to enhance her performances. This aspect of her even bleeds into how she fights as her armored when transformed is not only evocative of an idol but her metal skirt can also become a platform for her to stand on.

Erza Scarlet is fond of strawberry cake and a very quick way to make her angry. Not quite stealing food, but it's Lost Food Grievance all the same.

Carcano M91/38 is a compulsive liar who frequently causes trouble with others much to the ire of the more responsible and mature Carcano M1891, her older sister. Should note that M1891 is a fashion designer herself and has designed a number of outfits, most notably the outfits she and her sister wears, so perhaps she could have an interaction with Dawn as well.

@ SailorVenus: Saira and Kaira practice Salt Alkymancy which the magic that uses the salt of living beings' souls for their own use and is overall seen as a perversion of the natural order of life and death.

[[folder: Gorgo and Ogra]]

Gorgo and Ogra, Divine Monster Mother and Son Duo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gorgoandogra.png
Left to right: Gorgo and Ogra.
  • Potential House: Character Reveals
  • Lesser God (Gorgo). Borderline Greater Goddess (Ogra).
  • Symbol:
  • Theme Song: Gorgo's Theme
  • Alignment: True Neutral, though Orga can turn into Chaotic Neutral when the life of her child is in danger.
  • Portfolio: Gigantic Adults, Tiny Babies, Got Reunited at the End of the Movie and Left London to Live in Peace.
  • Domains: Kaiju, Mothers, Sons.
  • High Priest: The Gappas
  • Followers: Jiger, Birdon
  • Allies: For both: Godzilla, Gamera and Toto, The Cloverfield Monster, King Kong, Zilla, Zilla Junior, The Iron Giant, The Satellite of Love Crew, The Brontosaurus, The Orca, Aquaman.
  • Enemies: Hircine, The Monster Hunters, Pokemon Hunter J, King Ghidorah, SpaceGodzilla, Destoroyah, The Kraken, The Gyaos, Lagiacrus, Nergigante
  • In the depths of the British seas lived a creature named Gorgo, close to an island call Nara. Found by treasure hunters Joe Ryan and Sam Slade, Gorgo was captured and brought to London to be shown as an attraction for the public. However, it turned out that Gorgo was only a baby and its mother (known by many as Ogra) followed her babies' cries to rescue it. After trashing the city when Joe insisted on keeping Gorgo trapped despite the imminent risk, Ogra rescued Gorgo and brought it back to the sea with her, the two then left in peace to return to their peaceful lives in the wild.
  • Both ascended into the Pantheon by being lured in to a large ocean-like area where they currently reside away from most of the Pantheon's conflicts. Gorgo has at least been allowed to roam freely as he pleases, usually exploring the many houses to check out of curiosity. However few deities are willing to harm him, lest they incur the wrath of his mother, Ogra. Ogra herself has made a fierce reputation as a ferocious Mama Bear who'll kill anything that threatens Gorgo's life.
  • Both allied quickly with Kaiju who weren't irrationally aggressive, among these stood out the following:
    • Godzilla, as the de-facto King of the Monsters (including Kaiju) both follow his lead and authority, helped by them preferring to keep away from human civilization and instead reside in their underwater home. Godzilla takes a paternal approach when dealing with Gorgo and tries to make sure that he understands that not all humans are bad, so as to prevent unneeded conflicts from arising between Kaiju and humans. Ogra respects Godzilla's authority but will no doubt step in and stand her ground if she feels Gorgo is threatened.
    • Gamera loves children and as Gorgo is one, he took a liking to the young Kaiju and its mother for these reasons, even protecting them fiercely from the threat of the Gyaos, which they are unprepared to confront on their own. Gamera tends to scout their Temple for their safety, usually going down if trouble arises in it. Ogra appreciates Gamera's respect of her territory and protection of her child and as such considers him an ally. Gorgo and Ogra both greatly fear the Gyaos thanks to the few experiences they've had and anytime the savage flying monsters are roaming the Pantheon, they both try their best to hide from danger, with Ogra being willing to face them all on her own to keep Gorgo safe, though luckily their allies help keep them safe.
    • As he has experiences with being forcefully taken from his home and used as a living exhibit, King Kong became another ally to them. He feels good that Gorgo was ultimately freed and was able to go back home with his mother as he himself didn't have such luck and ended up dead in New York for his troubles, never being able to be back in his home of Skull Island. The Brontosaurus, another Kaiju deity who was taken from its home to be made an attraction, also bonded with Gorgo and Ogra over their situations, especialyl since unlike Kong he got to return back home instead of dying in the mainland and was also captured by British people and brought to London.
    • The Cloverfield Monster found plenty reasons to sympathize with Gorgo and his mother, given that he himself had to deal with being separated from his mother though he went on a rampage due to it and had to be killed by the military. Ogra has ocasionally offered Clover a chance to stay at her temple for shelter, but Clover prefers to keep himself within his own, which she understands and respects.
    • As he kidnapped Godzilla's own child out of sadism, both loathe SpaceGodzilla, moreso when he tried to force Ogra into the open by attacking her temple and kidnapping Gorgo. Accompanied by King Ghidorah, the two nearly killed her until Godzilla drove both off. She also detests Destoroyah, as he is well-known for killing Godzilla's son, Godzilla Jr.
  • They've received praise from the Crew of the Satellite of Love, who call them the best part of their movie. They both appreciate it, this praise has also given them a positive relationship compared to other deities from movies they've riffed. Also helped by the Crew's respect of their space and peace.
  • As ocean dwellers, they are wary of the many threats that lurk beneath the waves, particularly the malevolent Kraken who has attacked during their trips to the House of Aquatic Life. Other fierce predators such as the Lagiacrus and its variants, the Liopleurodon, Meg and Plesioth have also attacked them in the many houses and have become enemies with the duo as a result. On the other hand the water-dwelling Orca found common grounds with the duo, as he went on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge to avenge his mate and unborn child, he was glad to hear that they had successfully been able to reunite and live in peace unlike him who took his own life once he achieved his revenge.
  • Both allied with Aquaman, as the hero and King of Atlantis can command all sea life including them and he's more than eager to help keep them safe and out of danger. The two follow Aquaman's lead in the same vein as they do Godzilla's provided that the latter isn't the one calling the shots prior. Aquaman is at times interested in learning more about their species and if there are more of their kind out there.
  • Steve Irwin was interested in learning more about Gorgo and Ogra, given their rather tame attitude when not threatened or provoked. He's been able to successfully get along with both and even thought of further studying them in their temple to get better information and knowledge of their behavior and nature. Other deities in the House of Beast Handlers have also grown interested in studying Gorgo's species as well.
  • They've both had to fend off attacks from Nergigante, who sees them as prey like the Elder Dragon it hunts, and constantly harasses them if given the chance to do so. Ogra has so far been more willing to look up to the sky and stay on guard at all times. Gorgo himself is rather afraid of facing Nergigante and as such hides whenever they spot it. Though Ogra most of the times proves herself able to match Nergigante's might and drive the Elder Dragon Hunter away if possible.
  • As she captures strange creatures, Hunter J grew interested in capturing the young Gorgo, as she thought of the value the creature could hold in many black markets. Though luckily Godzilla was able to stop any kidnapping attempts, ever since she's remained on antagonistic terms with both Gorgo and Ogra, hoping to capture either or both and make a fortune through them. Other hunters in the House view both creatures as worthy prey and have taken to hunting them, much to Ogra's fury.

@Bale - [tup] for Mamazilla and Babyzilla. Perhaps they could also fit into Family Dynamics.

@nightelf - May lost the Hoenn Grand Festival and tied against Ash in the Kanto Grand Festival.

Like I've stated before, I was thinking if the dinosaurs from The New Dinosaurs: An Alternative Evolution can work for Fantastic Fauna Counterpart or Speculative Biology. The season behind it is because both of them run under the assumption of how non-avian dinosaurs would have evolved and looked like had they not become extinct, sporting various exotic and fantastical designs and concepts. For the first trope, many of the dinosaurs take inspiration from today's animals as a basis of how they could have been like if they existed today. For the second trope, it stems from a possible idea of how dinosaurs could have looked like and given that they're extinct, it's the most that can be done to visualize it.

Anyway, I've added a lot more for May and Dawn And I'm confident in that it looks ready to go. Suggestions are still open though.

  • Most are familiar with Pokémon Trainers, who seek to capture and train the eponymous creatures in the effort to challenge their regions' Gym Leaders and then enter the Pokémon League in the hopes of proving themselves to be a Pokémon Master. In the other spectrum, there also exists a specific sub-type of trainers known as Pokémon Coordinators. Much like their trainer counterpart, they too, capture and train Pokémon, but their aim is to participate in Pokémon Contests via a Contest Pass and earn themselves special ribbons to enter a Grand Festival where they compete against other trainers in both. The winner is rewarded with the Ribbon Cup and be christened as Top Coordinators of their region.
    • There were two Pokémon Coordinators of the Hoenn and Sinnoh regions who've had their experiences highly documented. Both of them had humble beginnings, much like most trainers and were travelling companions with a certain Ash Ketchum, who made it a journey to travel to every region he could to challenge their versions of the Pokémon League. The first of these two coordinators was May, the daughter of Petalburg City Gym Leader Norman, who simply happened to be more inspired about Contests than she was about entering the Hoenn League. The second from Sinnoh, Dawn, was the daughter of Johanna who was a renowned Pokémon Coordinator who dreamed of proving her mother proud and surpassing her one day. Both met Ash on differing circumstances and both involved a situation with his Pikachu in peril. Regardless, May and Dawn proved themselves selfless and feisty enough to travel with Ash alongside a specific partner; May's younger brother, Max, and Dawn's Piplup, with Brock tagging along a little later.
  • May and Dawn both had to endure the challenges of facing off against equally ambitious and tough competitors and rivals through their journey of becoming a Top Coordinator. And for all that hardship, their friends were always there, one way or another, to give them support and back. And in the end, while May and Dawn didn't succeed in becoming their region's Top Coordinator, they were happy with the experience and memories they had made with their Pokémon, Ash and Brock. Even when they ended up parting ways and deciding to enter Contests from other regions, fate would be such that May and Dawn would meet Ash again, some way or another
    • Their stories may have been similar to one another's, but they did prove themselves to have made it a memorable one, as their friends and fans determined. So it was decided in the Pantheon that May and Dawn be presented into this new domain with a whole new story awaiting them. The prospect of a wholly different, yet fantastical realm where Pokémon existed alongside other sorts of creatures was an exciting aspect for May and Dawn, as was another reunion with Ash, Brock and Pikachu. And with May and Dawn's ascension, came an announcement of Pokémon Contests opening up in the Pantheon. A coincidental event, but one that got May and Dawn more than ready to venture the Pantheon.
  • When May and Dawn ascended into the Pantheon, they were confident that Ash would be the first deity they'd meet. Instead, he was reported to have been snoring in bed loudly, much to both girls' chagrin. However, Pikachu was awake during the commotion and was overjoyed to see May and Dawn. Remembering a past action that they did before, Dawn and Pikachu decided to recreate a nostalgic moment where the Mouse Pokémon proceeded to zap Ash into waking up forcibly. Upon noticing May and Dawn, Ash quickly took to apologizing and congratulating them for finally getting into the Pantheon. Though unfortunately for Ash, May and Dawn find this particular method of waking Ash up pretty amusing and Pikachu is in agreement. They'd sometimes do it again, even if Ash hasn't overslept, much to his dismay.
  • As coordinators, May and Dawn tend to frequent the House of Theatre and Spectacle, despite it being more focused on the filmmaking side of entertainment. That said, it does help the House in a way as Contest battles and performances can be recorded and broadcasted by enthusiastic workers and fans. That, and there is an increase in the demand for more Pokémon Contests ever since May and Dawn's ascension, becoming one of the more popular attractions in the House of Theatre & Spectacle. Though security monitoring is set in order to ensure a high rate of damage isn't inflicted to the crowd and the competitors.
  • The success and popularity of Pokémon Contests led to the competition boards being asked to bring in deities as sponsors to help promote the contests and to create special opening performances for them to generate more hype and appeal. As it turns out, Idol Singers turned out to be the most popular choice, with bands and artists like μ's, Aqours, 765 Pro, Isola and LOOΠΔ being sought up for performances, plus some occasional Pokémons using specific moves to create a dazzling display that helped in generating bigger audiences.
    • May and Dawn were awestruck by the attention and aesthetics that were placed and worked on with the Pantheonic Contests. Outside of the performances and battles, the two girls would spend a good deal of their rest brakes backstage where they would meet up with special opening performers. It's there where May and Dawn became friends with the performing bands. Aqours, in particular take up a lot of interest in May's journey in Samiya (detailed below) with the members wishing to visit it one day. Like May and Dawn, LOOΠΔ themselves seem to have a grand adventure ahead of them, albeit in a more surreal sense and see May and Dawn's journey as a great learning experience for themselves to see each other as companions and collaborators. They plan of adventuring with the coordinators at some point, though they do have their own professional commitments to fulfill first.
    • Of course, aside from Idol Singers being the biggest attraction (the Pokémon battles and performances aside), there is a strong emphasis on cheerleaders, with Dawn herself often participating as one in case she isn't in a challenge. Like the singers before them, she's quickly come to talk to and become acquainted with characters like Kim Possible, Claire Bennet and Brittany S. Pierce. All of them have their own unique experiences to share, with Kim often having to state how much it's a struggle to keep up with her school and hero life, though Dawn personally finds this inspirational. She also gets some surprising help from Carcano M91/38 who's open enough to create some dresses for Dawn. This also extends to Kotori Minami and Ruby Kurosawa, who are the fashion designers for μ's and Aqours respectively. The two have admitted to finding Dawn very admirable and felt a bit estastic upon seeing her. The two have once tried to make a Idol-themed dressing for both May and Dawn. As a sign of their friendship, the two would sometimes wear dresses made by Kotori, Ruby and Carcano M91/38 during contests.
  • While their passion for contests (and by extension, performance stages) is incredibly strong, there are a few limits that May and Dawn do not dare to cross by any means. One of the more notorious examples of a performer was The Great Fusilli, whose habit of tricking actors and performers into presenting promises of fame and fortune, only to turn them into lifeless puppets was not welcomed by anyone, not even Jessie of the Tam Rocket Trio. That said, The Great Fusilli is pretty damn good in convincing people, which had May and Dawn on high alert and their Pokémon are more than quick to react in disgust whenever he's around. And in a rare moment, Jessie will put aside her enmity and work with May and Dawn in stopping The Great Fusilli. After all, she does see James and Meowth as True Companions in her own right and once stopped the malicious magician from turning them into puppets, an action which surprisingly earned a rare approval from May and Dawn.
  • May is sometimes considered a patron of the Hall of Water and Moisture and her arrival there tends to be celebrated. This stems from the fact that she once came across a Manaphy that took to seeing May as a mother-figure and the ensuing chase between Pokémon Ranger Jack Walker and the Phantom for finding the Prince of the Sea. While the Seafaring Pokémon is yet to appear in the Pantheon proper, May is hopeful of seeing Manaphy again one day.
    • By that extension, May also earned the respect of many of the water-associated deities for her mother-child relationship with Manaphy. One of them, in particular, was Aquaman, who was intrigued to learn about the story of Samiya, particularly that bore some similarities to Atlantis. May was happy to see how Aquaman himself oversaw many of the residing water Pokémon in his domain with compassion and care, particularly after gaining Kyogre as his personal partner. By extension, May also became wary of Black Manta. Given that she had to deal with The Phantom, who himself was a pirate, Black Manta, is much, much, worse, due to his insane enmity towards the King of Atlantis and for being dead-set on destroying everything his Arch-Enemy cherishes. The fact that May is now friends with Aquaman means Manta has one more person to target and hunt solely to spite Aquaman, but luckily, May isn't defenceless, especially given that she has her own Pokémon team who will do anything to fight and look after her.
  • Dawn likes to spend some time in the House of Costumes as, unlike May, she tends to wear and come up with fashionable dressings and makeup, which was a standard trait for her contest matches. Even then, Dawn is open to trying out different clothing out in the open on a lot of occasions and mainly does so in an effort to stand out among her companions. It's an emphasis on how she's among the biggest Girly Girls out of Ash's travelling companions, a fact that she isn't bothered by. As a result, she becAme friends with Shiki Misaki and Rarity for her clothing and dress+up interests. It helps that Shiki and Rarity are pretty impressed by what they've seen in Pokémon Contests and have given Dawn a helping hand in designing some new clothes and makeup aesthetics for the coordinator, which Dawn took as a pleasant surprise.
  • Obviously enough, May and Dawn would realize that the leaders of Teams Magma, Aqua and Galactic are now not malicious anymore and, in the case of the former two, are trying to do better as people after their botched attempts to control Groudon and Kyogre. Even then, the two coordinators keep their distance, if mainly because there's still a long road ahead for redemption. As for Cyrus, he's remained considerably silent. Dawn did react with disdain for a moment if mainly because the Cyrus she knew was was more monstrous and vile than the one in the Pantheon. While Maxie and Archie find it awkward to approach May and Dawn, given their actions, they are genuine in that they'll do whatever it takes to preserve nature, now that they're members of the Grand United Alliance Of Nature. Cyrus has remained mostly quiet but does affirm to Dawn that while he hasn't given up on his ultimate goal, he's not going to risk destroying the world and emotions as of now. Dawn really doesn't know how to approach Cyrus without their conversations being incredibly awkward at best.
    • Predictably, they would become enemies with Ghetsis, who is almost universally despised by most Pokémon Trainers and loads of other people for his abusive treatment towards N and not preaching what he spouts. There's also Hunter J, who Dawn has dealt with and, alongside May, they're doing whatever it takes to stop her and her cruel and remorseless poaching of other Pokémon. Lysandre stands out in a way as he's not as despicable, but displays an incredibly twisted view of Utopia and is more insane to boot. Ghetsis couldn't really care for May and Dawn, considering he has more personal enemies to deal with, Hunter J tends to be more at odds with Dawn, though she's beginning to aggravate May considerably due to her actions and Lysandre is complementary of the two but is not hesitant to harm the girls should they dare to stand between his goals.
  • Due to evil organizations playing a hand in the creation of artificial beings, in particular, the Pokémon, Mewtwo and Genesect, May and Dawn are rather cautious of cloned beings to some extent. That said, Mewtwo has a measure of respect for the two as May and Dawn deeply adore and look after their Pokémon. The Genetic Pokémon makes a point to helping the coordinators out if they're in dire situations, such as one where they were suddenly attacked by the Indominus and Indoraptor on separate occasions. Like Mewtwo, the two dinosaurs were also genetically engineered, but we're more bestial in nature and further DNA tampering caused the two to be bloodhungry savage monsters. Evidently, the Indominus and Indoraptor are incredibly intimidating towards May and Dawn and usually try to stay clear of them, even if their Pokémons are able to stand up to them in a tough battle.
  • They eventually heard that Pokémon weren't the only sort of creatures of their type, as it did intrigue May and Dawn enough to learn a bit about the Digimon race, especially given how many tend to associate them with Pokémon to a good extent. Along the way, they came across the two groups of Digidestined and quickly took to being accommodated with one another. In particular, both got along really well with Sora Takenouchi due to a series of shared similarities that the three share; she owned a Bird Digimon, Piyomon that eventually digivoles into a much stronger being, much like May's Blaziken which started off as a Torchic and that Sora herself went on to become a fashion designer, something which Dawn takes a good interest in.
    • While not in a traditional sense, Rei himself commands three Kaijus, namely Gomora, Litra and Eleking, into battle, though in Rei's case, he mainly used them to protect the world from other dangerous monsters and hostile threats. Despite their fearsome appearances, they don't pose a threat to anyone, which is how May and Dawn were able to get along with them just fine. Rei himself commends the coordinators for their journey and commitment to their goals and encourages them to do better.
      • By extension, May and Dawn also became friends with Gamers, who was well-known for befriending children and coming to their aid and command whenever possible. They first met when May was suddenly attacked by a pack of Gyaos, and Dawn, upon hearing of it, went out to search for help, whereupon the turtle Kaiju was the closest one she could get. Regardless, Gamera proved his worth by fending and driving away the Gyaos, after which May was incredibly grateful for him. Additionally, the fact that the Gyaos themselves were a scientific experiment, much like Mewtwo, and originated from a version of Atlantis does disturb May and Dawn somewhat, particularly the former, given just how savage and uncompromising they were, even compared to other beasts of their type.
    • While evil Pokémon seemed to be a rarity, the same cannot be said for the various malicious Digimon who tend to have grand plans for worldly takeover and/or destruction. It doesn't surprise anyone that May and Dawn would immediately become enemies with them, especially Lucemon. By extension, May and Dawn have fought against those who desired to take over/destroy the world, one of which includes Cyrus, who himself sees Lucemon as too contentious for himself to handle. Due to the overwhelming nature of the Fallen Angelic Digimon, May and Dawn would default to finding any partners they could find to combat against him, even if it means being Maxie, Archie and Cyrus.
  • Both girls contrast each other pretty distinctly, but in one of the more embarrassing ones, May cannot make Pokéblocks that are edible in any sense whereas Dawn is adept and skilled at that. While it does highlight her Girly Girl traits more than May is, it's still enough for her to be welcomed into the House of Food. Luckily, May doesn't feel alienated as she was able to become friends with Kirby and Erza Scarlet due to their shared love for strawberry cake. In fact, all three of them had a situation where they had a cake lost/storm from them, prompting them to rage until they were given another/found it for them to be pacified. With all considered, it's best to just leave May with a good serving of strawberry cake, unless someone incurs her wrath.

@Crimson: No, that tie with Ash wasn't even in the Kanto Grand Festival at all, but a Contest some time after that, just an episode before they parted ways. But I guess you're right. May didn't win either Grand Festival. Only at Best 8, then Best 4.

It seems Ashes of the Past had colored my memory of canon.

Alright, now that it’s been a month since this trope launched, I can finally propose a candidate.

Chacha, Goddess of Red Riding Hood Replicas.

Reasoning: In this anime, which borrows from several fairy tales whenever possible, Chacha, the main character, takes motifs from Little Red Riding Hood in her appearance. To complete the reference, one of her friends, Riiya, can turn himself into a wolf pup at will.

  • August 18th, Universal Century 0079. A reconnaissance mission to a recently-constructed space colony in Side 7 would have dire consequences for its residents. For this colony held three of the most advanced mobile suits in history: the RX-75-4 Guntank, RX-77-2 Guncannon and last but not least, the RX-78-2 Gundam. These state of the art war machines were the Earth Federation's Macguffin, designed to turn the tide of the One Year War being ridden by the Principality of Zeon and their fearsome Zakus. An ill-advised attack resulted in the death of the Gundam's planned test pilot, the destruction of all but 3 suitsGANDAMU! , and the chief engineer's son literally Falling into the Cockpit of the Gundam. The defeat of the two once-invincible Zakus signalled that the year-long war for Spacenoid independence was about to enter a new chapter. A chapter written by Amuro Ray, pilot of the Gundam and many more to come.
    • Tasked with a ragtag crew of civilians aboard the mobile suit carrier White Base with transporting the Operation V units to Jaburo, the EFF headquarters in the Amazon, Amuro successfully used his technological know-how and growing pilot skills to destroy all obstacles in their path, including some of Zeon's best aces like Garma Zabi, Ramba RalGANDAMU! , the Black Tri-Stars, M'Quve and tragically, Lalah Sune (see below for details). The Gundam was dubbed the "White Devil" for how easily it dispatched Zeon's mobile suit forces and eventually netted the Earth Federation victory with Amuro becoming the second highest-scoring ace of the One Year War, but at the cost of a peaceful life.
    • Amuro would be treated lavishly by the Federation post-war for helping them, buying a luxurious mansion with his wartime pensions and becoming an instructor at the Cheyenne Base Mobile Suit Academy in Wyoming, North America. However, this was a Gilded Cage; discovery of Amuro's Newtype powers made him a constant object of surveillance by the military who wanted to control him for their own nefarious reasons. The onset of the Gryps War brought on by EFF anti-Zeon force the Titans and some prodding from his old friend Fraw persuaded him to overcome his PTSD and chronic combat fatigue to return to active combat as a pilot for Earth-based resistance group Karaba, piloting the MSK-008 Dijeh. In this position, he mentored Zeta Gundam pilot Kamille Bidan and became his equivalent on Earth while Kamille was fighting against the Titans in space.
    • After the Gryps War, Amuro joined the special operations task force Londo Bell under Bright Noa as commander of the force's mobile suit squads. It was here that he encountered his long-time nemesis Char Aznable for the last time, now a Knight Templar plotting to drop asteroids on Earth to force humanity to move to space and become Newtypes. The RX-93 ν Gundam, a unit which Amuro designed himself narrowly defeated Char's Sazabi and prevented the asteroid base Axis from colliding with Earth, pilots from both sides helping him the whole way. This fight however would prove to be Amuro's last. Pushing his psychic abilities to their limit overloaded the ν Gundam's Psycho-Frame and destroyed Amuro's and Char's bodies, ending their historic rivalry once and for all.
  • Ascended after a psychedelic journey into the very depths of time and space, surveying the endless cycle of war resulting from humanity's mistakes. He almost lost hope from seeing that his efforts to prevent the fall of humanity to violence were for naught, culminating in the ∀ Gundam cleansing nearly all traces of humanity from the Earth. Lalah Sune helped him see that the Gundam multiverse is a cycle of humanity's mistakes that will repeat over and over again, but the legend of the Gundam started by Amuro is proof that humanity isn't powerless to change its fate. Amuro regained new hope for the future, whatever or whenever it was, and it seemed that the universe itself heeded his wish. Amuro's spirit was enveloped by the white light of Eternity itself, transporting him to a near-empty landscape with Lalah gone. Great plains, houses and characters from different universes intermingling signalled to him that a new, clean slate was there for him to build upon. For this was the Pantheon, and a new chapter of his life was about to begin...
  • An introverted person by nature with a single-minded interest in machines. Not someone suited for the military, moreover as the one manning their trump card against the enemy. While Amuro was a capable pilot, inside he was a complete wreck, a teenager with no prior war experience pushed into a position where he got No Sympathy for being unprepared (including one infamous Bright Slap), near zero therapy for his trauma, losing his father to oxygen deprivation and falling down the stairs and the deaths of many people who he came to consider loved ones. This lingering trauma along with poor social skills extends to the many heralds he has, all who support him in various ways:
    • The crew of the White BaseGANDAMU!  has become a second family to him. They largely moved on to civilian lives after the war but continue to assist him in the Pantheon. Fraw Bow (his caretaker and close friend) drops in every so often to make sure he's eating well, her husband Hayato Kobayashi and Ryu Jose serve with him in the GUAG Robot War Division, Kai Shiden is a freelance journalist who digs up dirt on Amuro's possible enemies, and so on. Sayla Mass lives with Amuro in his temple, largely to mediate the tension between him and her brother CharGANDAMU! . It's telling that Amuro trusts her enough to be his second-in-command.
    • His father Tem Ray was the chief engineer for Operation V and designed the Gundam himself. An explosion in the colony during the attack sent him into space where extended oxygen deprivation left him delusional and prone to mood swings. Following rescue, Tem resided in neutral Side 6 (Riah) and after the victory at Solomon, presumably died falling down the stairwell leading to his apartment. His reunion with Amuro and his estranged wife Kamaria was a joyous occasion, and despite being far from reconciling are resolute on making up for time lost from the war with Amuro. Tem is semi-retired to treat his mental issues, but regularly checks in on projects in the GUAG Engineering Division. Don't ever mention the Tem Ray circuit in front of him; he wept in despair upon realizing he made a piece of junk.
    • Karaba operative Beltorchika Irma is another one of Amuro's trusted confidantes, having gotten past their Destructive Romance in Zeta. A fangirl of Amuro yet not altogether stupid, she does counter-intelligence work for the GUAG. A mobile suit team equipped with modified Zeta Gundams rounds out Amuro's heralds, having served with him incognito during the First Neo Zeon War. Red Snake (aka Yurii Ajissah) met Amuro at a funeral when she was just a child, and Gray Wolf (aka Shin Matsunaga, the White Wolf of Solomon) is a liaison between the GUAG Robot War Division and Char's faction of the GUAE Mecha Cohort.
    • He eventually settled on Chirico Cuvie as his high priest, sympathizing with the Super-Soldier who was accused of treason for being at the wrong place at the wrong time, and their introvert, shut-in personalities. Amuro appointed Chirico his special attaché to the Division's 2nd Battlegroup, and his eyes and ears on the ground with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
  • You don't need to be in the GUAG to know that Amuro is a straight badass. Period. His service in the Earth Federation Forces, while largely unnoticed in his own universe, was greatly rewarded in the Pantheon. Amuro has received the EFF Medal of Honor, GUAG Medal of Honor and the GUAG Sacrifice Badge 1st Class, among others. The last award came with a promotion to Captain and most senior mecha pilot in the GUAG Robot War Division, reporting directly to then Rear Admiral Bright Noa. Adding to "White Devil" and the "White Unicorn", Amuro is also nicknamed "The Transcendent" by some pilots due to his post-mortem journey into the depths of time and space that to them, makes him understand the plight of the Gundam multiverse more than anybody, even the strongest Newtypes.
    • Aboard the Ra CailumGANDAMU!  are an assortment of Federation Ace Pilots and Gundam pilots who equal Amuro in skill, since novices would never be able to go along with his demanding plans. First formed after the Ra Cailum was refitted to house more mobile weapons, RWD Squad Alpha engages in high-stakes missions for the GUAG Robot War Division, and are the first responders on scene whenever something particularly bad happens (for membership, see here). His superior, Bright Noa, in spite of a rocky start filled with angst, is one of Amuro's closest friends in the Pantheon, and could pass for a bar buddy if he weren't so straight-laced. He still keeps a framed picture of Amuro in his office.
    • What Amuro lacks in raw psychic power like Kamille and Judau, he makes up for in skill. Made in response to Char's new Nightingale, his Hi-ν Gundam utterly trounces most of the competition. It is visually identical to the official version (sans the violet colours which are back to black and white) but has various tricks from alternate-universe units.
      • The Minovsky particle generator gives the Hi-ν's Variable Phase Shift armor unlimited operating time, rendering it immune to all but the most devastating of physical attacks. The Mirage Colloid Dispersal system allows the Gundam to cloak not only itself but at least two partner units within a 30-35 metre radius for stealth missions, which renders them invisible and intangible to physical attack and radar. This negates the Phase Shift armor however and biological means like telepathy can still detect them.
      • Six Fin Funnels are equipped on the back (ten in the Double Fin Funnel configuration), and have bomber, beam, long-range scout and Minovsky particle dispersal variants. Invisible Fin Funnels reverse-engineered from Aila Jyrkiäinen's Qubeley Papillon are used when in crowded situations.
      • The Psycho-Frame embedded in the Hi-ν Gundam is rumoured to be more powerful than any of its predecessors, including the Strike Freedom's SEED Mode and the 00 Qan[T]'s Quantum System. Augmented by the Plavsky particle micro-emitters along certain surfaces of the Gundam, it allows for dramatically increased mobility and dexterity, at times even to unnatural levels.
    • Amuro has a distinctive reputation among heroic Gundam pilots, with even Sour Supporters like Mikazuki Augus acknowledging his worth. His closest allies in the Division are Shiro Amada, Kira Yamato and Setsuna F. Seiei, all committed to the ideal of peace despite that being all but impossible. Amuro admits to being a bit envious of Shiro. If he had a chance to fake his death and get out of the war without punishment, he might've taken it.
    • As a high-ranking pilot, Amuro is very chummy with others under his command, and most of them in turn regard him as one of the genre's greatest stalwarts. Had it not been for him, Patlabor, Macross, VOTOMS and many other franchises would not exist today. The other two of the "Mecha Big Three", Kouji Kabuto (Super Robot) and Ryoma Nagare (Combining Mecha) all respect him to the highest degree as brothers-in-arms. Ryoma's more colourful style of combat clashes with Amuro's more subdued, cautious style but the two veterans complement each other perfectly. They don't remember it too vividly, but their time fighting on a post-apocalyptic Earth composed of all mecha universes fused into one was well-spent to make them a dangerous Red Oni, Blue Oni duo.
      • Some Ship Tease is allegedly brewing between him and Misato KatsuragiGANDAMU! , not least of which because their seiyuus voiced Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon respectively. Amuro has taken Shinji under his wing, fearful for the boy's future (his mother, while redeemed is still not in the best of states). When not on duty, he is always game for a visit to WILLE headquarters aboard Misato's flagship, the AAA Wunder.
  • It didn't take long for Char and Amuro to come across each other in the Pantheon... nor did it take long for a big fight to happen. It took a while before Sayla and Nanai managed to prise the two apart. Both Amuro and Char have never gotten over their mutual angst over Lalah until her return to the Pantheon (again, see below). On a good day, they are comparable to Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr in their respect for the other and often form truces for mutual survival. On other days, expect them to be at each other's throats over differing views on humanity's future, neither giving in. Amuro still believes that humanity still has a chance to shape its own destiny without violence while the more cynical Char insists that only through cataclysm and disaster can they be forced to change. Yet they are Not So Different; both had screwed-up family lives, were forced into a life of war and death and losing their loved ones stopped them from settling down permanently. They do not deny the similarities, but insist the way they individually responded to their traumas was the right way. Expect lots of carnage, spectacle and verbal jousting when they encounter each other on the battlefield.
    • It took Amuro a while to get used to the idea of Char Clones, facepalming at the idea of his Archenemy having dozens of expies. There are some who are better, like Zechs Merquise, Harry Ord and Graham Aker, whose fascination with the Gundam he can relate to. Others like Rau Le Creuset he intensely dislikes for being worse reflections of Char obsessed with the idea of ending humanity. He pities Full Frontal as a person who had Char's ideals forcibly imprinted onto him. As for Gilbert Durandal, Amuro is staunchly opposed to ending all wars at the cost of choosing your own path in life, the same reason why he opposes the Grand United Alliance of Law.
    • Isn't pleased that there are worse mecha pilots in the Pantheon. Ali al-Saachez reminds Amuro of every sociopathic, sadistic and battle-hungry soldier he's ever met in battle. He would love to see Setsuna and the Meisters put that man in his place. Things got worse when he discovered that the Black Tri-Stars had ascended. Eager to avenge the death of Lt. Matilda, his team rushed to their target in the House of Technology. However, the trio saw him coming and high-tailed it out of there. On their end, the Black Tri-Stars don't fancy having to face a now all-powerful Newtype who managed to best their Jet Stream Attack until they've honed their skills enough.
    • Amuro's worst hatred is set aside for GUAE members who exploit the vulnerable for the sake of war. He's seen people do that at the expense of Cyber-Newtypes, impoverished Spacenoids and Lalah and he never wants to see it again. Obvious targets are Nobuyuki Sugou, Shou Tucker and Ryoma Sengoku for their ruthless prioritization of science over their subjects' consent. He admits to being prejudiced towards GLaDOs, because his original Gundam is in the Treasures and thus under her care.
  • Amuro has a... bittersweet relationship with his fans in the Pantheon. Unlike Char who eschews his popularity beyond manipulating them, Amuro doesn't mind openly revelling in it sometimes. Between being made fun of for stupid decisions and people asking for autographs, he admits that it's a welcome change from being exploited and isolated by the Federation in his mortal life. It's said that he lends his voice to special events in Gunpla Battle Nexus Online and Gunpla Battle every so often and even physically visiting Gunpla Expo Japan in those words incognito every year. Amuro is otherwise very private outside of his few public engagements as doing more would cut into his work schedule.
    • Allies with the Gundam Build Fighters deities and was opposed to those civilians joining the GUAG as it would tarnish their views of Gunpla. Requisite fanboy Sei Iori convinced him otherwise, and Reiji was among those who helped insert a Plavsky Particle emission system into Amuro's new Gundam. The lot do creep him out sometimes with their fanboy/fangirl behaviour, but he enjoys their company.
      • Memorizing his lines like some gospel prayer is a bad habit of their, but he can't blame that being slapped by Bright Noa into a MAN OF DESTINY!! will always be a point of Self-Deprecation. He even humours himself with his legendary line, "Not even my father hit me!" at times.
    • Amuro even has a Gunpla collection in his temple, though it's nowhere near as impressive as his fans. His collection room is completely empty sans a box with pliers, model knife and sandpaper, the collection itself and a desk with cutting mat. Oh, and a pile of unopened boxes (High Grades, Master Grades, merchandise, an unopened God Hand Nippers box, and stands) lies neglected in the corner. His favourite is, oddly enough, the High Grade Reborns Gundam.
  • Love is an extremely touchy subject for Amuro, given his great troubles with it. The loss of Lalah Sune, one of the strongest Newtypes in existence who shared a telepathic bond and an intimate understanding of him was what made his rivalry with Char very, very personal. She was killed in the midst of a brutal battle between the two who both loved her, her Elmeth protecting Amuro from what would otherwise have been a fatal strike by Char's Gelgoog. Amuro knows not that Char bribed the old Chief Justice Johnson to bring Lalah into the Pantheon as a GUAE member, and he would likely be less than pleased if he knew. He's already had one row with his sworn rival over her (before Lalah arrived) and that was enough to level the room.
    • Due to his remaining trauma from Lalah's death, Amuro is seemingly incapable of having a romantic relationship without it falling apart due to his secludedness or ending in death for the lover. He visits the therapeutic services in the Houses of Despondency and Love often to clear the pain which has never subsided completely. Many deities in both pity him for his troubles, but can never seem to help without hurting him more.
  • One thing many admire Amuro for is his unceasing belief in the potential of humanity. Even after living in a world where humanity does nothing but wage war, abuse its inferiors and destroy its environment, Amuro continues to believe that his kind can do better. Extraterrestrials, ally and enemy alike question Amuro as to why he continues to fight for humanity, and his answer is always the same: that humanity is imperfect and doomed to extinction, but the same could be said for any species in the universe. He's just fighting for what he believes in, and that they can always do better even after centuries of the opposite occurring.
    • The Emperor of Humanity, his Imperium of Man and his Order Of Humanity seem to think highly of the soldier who fought for humanity to his death, even if it was soon to become a Dying Race within the next few decades. Even if his training and fortitude is nowhere near as rock-solid as the Primarchs (or even the average Imperial Guardsmen), the nicer ones like Vulkan can respect his desire to save civilians beyond the call of duty.
    • It is for this reason that Amuro abhors the villainous members of the Grand United Alliance of Machines including the Cybermen, Brainiac and the Necrons for advocating for the supremacy of machine-kind at the expense of humanity's capacity to feel and love. He hates to say it, but sometimes death is favourable to emptiness.
  • allies who share his belief
    • Hal Jordan Hal Jordan is a hotshot Ace Pilot turned superhero for the Green Lantern Corps. He'd find some common ground with Amuro in the sense that they used to have some reluctance and fear in their earliest parts of their stories before toughening up and becoming more courageous overtime.
    • Aka Red
    • rivalry with Optimus
    • Nanoha Takamichi As a fellow 'White Devil' (and the originator of the title), Amuro is very close to Nanoha Takamachi and they kinda form a 'secondary duo' (aside of her legendary one with Fate), tales has it that Nanoha deals with small-sized threats, Amuro deals with big-sized ones.

Shūkurō Tsukishima, God of Fake Memories (Shu, Bookman, Facebook)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tsukishima1.png

  • Shūkurō Tsukishima is Ichigo Kurosaki's cousin, who he and his family haven't seen since Grandpa Rin's funeral. He is liked by all of Ichigo's friends and even his sisters. He came by to pay a visit, only for Ichigo to be irrationally angry with him, and even toss his cousin into a window.
  • A very friendly person, who always visits many pantheons unexpectedly. He seems to make a new friend in every pantheon during every time he visits. Oddly enough, despite being such a friendly person, there are many who are wary of him, especially in the Mentalism Pantheon.
    • But why is that so? Why did the Main House insert him into this pantheon? Why did they give him the title God of Fake Memories?
      • They are acting really weird...
  • For some reason Lelouch got really angry at him the last time he got a visit from Shukuro, who avoids him because he doesn't want Lelouch to get irrationally angry at him again. When Lelouch was asked to comment on this, he simply said this:
Lelouch: I've done this little dance before.
  • In the same vein, when he came to greet Byakuya at the House of Siblings upon ascending to the Pantheon, he received this comment.
Byakuya: You're aware that I can kill you just like the previous time you attempted this, correct?
  • Hasn't been seen since Kefka and Terumi failed in their plans to corrupt the Puella Magi.
  • Until one day he turned up talking to Naruto Uzumaki. Well... trying to talk, anyway. Naruto was irrationally angry, more interested in fighting him and causing a ruckus. Then Ichigo showed up and started yelling angry lies about Shukuro so Naruto was even more set against him. Finally, some old black-armored police lady appeared, and Shukuro tried to explain that they were attacking him for no reason, but she believed the angry delinquents instead just because of the katana he carries for self-defense. She used a steel cable to knock his sword out of his hand, then tried to arrest him, forcing him to run away and go back into hiding.
    • *SLICE!*

  • In actuality, Tsukishima is not Ichigo's cousin, or Byakuya's former teacher, or anyone of any important relation to the Gotei 13. Rather, he is a Fullbringer; a human born with a special soul-manipulating ability called a Full Manifestation Art, or Fullbring for short. In fact, he was the sworn enemy of a secret society of Fullbringers called Xcution. His Fullbring, Book of The End, manifests as a bookmark that can turn into a sword capable of cutting into anything. And whenever Book of The End cuts something, Shukuro is able to implant himself into its memory (if a living being) or history (inanimate object). This has plenty of manipulative uses.
    • For example, that part about Ichigo's cousin? He cut the rest of his family and friends into believing that so they could drive him insane. Byakuya's mentor? He cut that into him too, even though it didn't work. That fun little blurb of a profile above? He cut that into it just to prove the point. And him being Xcution's sworn enemy? That was the biggest lie of all. He's actually the first devoted recruit of the organization, a full willing participant in their plan to steal Ichigo's power and add it to their own. He cut his leader into believing they were enemies because the boss would've utterly failed to act the part otherwise, then eventually cut the others into the same act to make him look like a lone villain for the sake of the plan.
    • Ultimately, the plan was beaten back, and Shukuro was among the members killed and moved to Soul Society. They later aided in the war against Vandenreich, in order to repay a debt to Ichigo for beating them. Still, the infamy of his works remained. Furthermore, upon discovering a sealed portal in some far-off area he was able to cut it so that it was retroactively forced open until such a time as he entered it, leading him into the Pantheon.
    • After exploring the crossroad of dimensions on his own, he took over Ichigo's temple by cutting its door to read his name instead. It was his way of saying hello, to which Ichigo dragged him to the Court of the Gods, hoping to kick him out. He demonstrated his ability by cutting Captain America, who within moments would extol "the incredible virtues Shukuro showed while fighting alongside [Cap] and Bucky in World War 2". Ichigo and Eiki Shiki forced him to undo the effects, to which he reversed it by cutting him again. The First Avenger's memory back to normal, they agreed that Shu was worthy of the title of Fake Memories.
  • This of course means the "irrationally angry" outbursts of others described above were entirely justified. Lelouch has had his memories altered before and refused to give Shu even the slightest chance. Byakuya was the one who killed Shu in their home universe despite believing him to be his mentor simply because he was an enemy to Ichigo. As for Naruto, Tsukishima actually attempted to ambush him in hopes of cutting him to achieve some hidden end, with Ichigo and then Lin Beifong foiling said plan. Amusingly enough, Beifong would find herself occasionally protecting Naruto like he was her own son afterwards, and this turned out to be the effect of an alternate crossover timeline. While it may not have been in the direction he wanted, Shu noted that his attack allowed memories of another life to gain influence after all.
  • Despite acknowledging Xcution's debt to Ichigo, he still holds the Super Supremacist philosophy taught by his leader. As such, he gravitated greatly to Zonda and the Seven, becoming an ally to them in their cause to establish a society fit for Adepts and others like them. The members of the Gotei 13 still hold great distrust for Shu because of this, with Copen and Gunvolt noting him as a dangerous figure to watch as well.
  • Android 21 has been told to stay away from Shukuro, lest he attempt to rewire her missing memories to fit his own purposes. Learning that the same warning was applied to Ragyo Kiryuin, he decided to check her and see what she was all about. He came away unimpressed, feeling that she is just another regular human parasitically latching onto a superior existence (the Life Fibers) rather than anyone naturally powerful or impressive. Worse, her depravity especially towards her own progeny (as in both of them) proves the depths of evil that humans can stoop to.
  • Is often called Bookman because of his bookmark, and Facebook because he uses his power to forge superficial friendships.
