Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Are these robots good to go?

Rodney Copperbottom, God of Pursuing The Dream Job

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/latest_removebg_preview.png
  • Votes: 1(Sailor Venus 372)
  • House: Outlooks on Job (House of Profession)
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: Wonderbot
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Adorkable Nice Guy, Mr. Fixit, Dreamed Of Being An Inventor For Bigweld And Achieved It, Blue Is Heroic, proving Upbringing Makes the Hero, Savvy Guy To Piper's Energetic Girl, Straight Man
  • Domains: Robotics, Inventors, Fanboys, Optimism, Heroism
  • Allies: Bigweld (his inspiration and personal hero), Walt Disney (his inspiration's inspiration), Obi-Wan Kenobi, Dr Light, and his family (especially Proto Man and and Galaxy Man), Charlie Bucket, Emmet Brickowski, Lewis Anthonio, Flint Lockwood, Nikola Tesla, Bastion, Fix-It Felix Jr, Optimus Prime
  • Vitriolic Best Buds with: Bender, Mei Hatsume, Marvin the Paranoid Android
  • Enemies: Madame Gasket and Phineas T Ratchet, Lumine, those who commit genocide like Dr Weil, Copy X, the Red Skull, SKYNET and Clu, Metallix, Omega (Mega Man), Ra Moon
  • Opposes: The Grand United Alliance of Machines
  • Annoyed by: The Dursleys
  • Pities: Those who hate their job like Squidward Tentacles and Burgerpants
  • Uncertain on: Repliforce
  • Ever since he was a young "bot", Rodney Copperbottom dreamed of becoming an inventor and meeting his childhood hero Bigweld. When his father's boss becomes angered by one of his inventions, Rodney decides to leave Rivet Town, to go to Robot City and sell his idea to Bigweld. He finds that Bigweld has been replaced by Ratchet, a smooth-talking but sinister robot, and Rodney would meet Rusties, a group of "outmodes" (outdated bots with worn out or broken parts). The outmodes befriend Rodney after he is able to fix most of them. He extends this favor to all the broken or crumbling robots in the City, and worked to eventually bring his hero back to prominence while stopping the machinations of Ratchet and his mother.
  • At the end of the day, he was made Bigweld's successor and heir. Comparisons have been made between him and Charlie Bucket, though he started off less impoverished. Naturally Rodney is fond of the kid for proving himself through his virtue. Character-wise, Rodney is also a lot like Lewis Anthonio and Flint Lockwood; there are passionate inventors who ultimately became self-made men because of their never give up attitude. Sadly for Flint his idol proved to be a manipulative narcissist, but Flint remains a heroic figure.
  • Immediately met up with Bigweld in the pantheon, who definitely could use his help given that Madame Gasket and Phineas T Ratchet joined the pantheon alongside Rodney Copperbottom, something the enemies were frustrated by. Rodney's ascension led him to discover Walt Disney, Bigweld's own inspiration, and the two soon got along well. Disney respects him for re-inspiring Bigweld and breaking corrupt corporatism, proving everyone is worthwhile.
  • Shares a lot in common with Emmet Brickowski in being optimistic inventors and creators, and Felix as being great at fixing things. Along with Nikola Tesla, they've invented and fixed a number of gadgets. Rodney is often present in the House of Technology helping repair the various robotic deities. His knack for technology led to him working with Mei Hatsume, though she can be somewhat competitive and Rodney can find her Attention Whore personality annoying at times.
  • While a helper for most machines, Rodney isn't going to help the likes of Metallix and Omega, who he regards as the mechanical version of ax-wielding spree killers. And he is absolutely not touching Ra Moon, given its psychopathy and blackout being a threat to machines. Otherwise, he's an optimistic and happy enough figure that few robots are evil enough for him to refuse fixing.
  • Believes that all out-modes and those deemed out-dated by society have a chance to shine. In short, the absolute polar opposite view of Lumine, who believes outmodes should submit at best, be exterminated at worst. It's a viewpoint Rodney finds utterly disgusting. He's just, if not even more revolted by Copy X, who authorizes genocide against Reploids in order to solve issues with energy resources. It's particularly galling in its evilness given Copy X is a Reploid.
  • Those who commit genocide fill Rodney with indignant rage, primarily for the racialist motives behind it. The Red Skull is a prime example of said motives, though he doesn't single out A.I. There's Dr Weil, who feels all robots should are slaves. And of course CLU, what with the genocide against the ISOs simply because they were in the way of his desiring "perfect system".
  • His fighting for outmodes caught the attention of Bender, who is considered out of date by the standards of his world. Bender always hates the Just a Machine attitude, and was glad to learn of Rodney. Rodney was reminded of Fender from Bender, and not just because of the name. Of course, Bender is a lot surlier and more amoral, so while they work together the bending robot sometimes gets on Rodney's nerves.
  • Soon found himself working with Dr Light in order to create a world where both man and machine can live in harmony, though Rodney is trying to get more experience knowing the man part. Of his creations, he's fond of Proto Man and Galaxy Man the most. The former is because he respects his choice of being independent despite this meaning his lifespan is limited. The latter faced being decommissioned for being out of date.
  • Having pursued and obtained the dream job, Rodney pities those who are stuck in a dead-end job they despise like Squidward and Burgerpants, even if the former is kind of a prick. He's also upset over Marvin the Paranoid Android's complete melancholy due to being a Flawed Prototype, and tried to help by finally fixing the diodes on his left side. Amazingly, this made him happy...for a second or two. Marvin's still as much of a grump as ever, but about 1% less so which for him is still a noticeable enough change for him to actually like him; not that he'll ever admit it.
  • Vocally reminds people of Obi-Wan Kenobi. As Obi-Wan is a heroic and intelligent figure, they tend to get along. That said, he isn't a fan of how droids in the galaxy far, far away are treated as second-class seconds. However, he doesn't want that to be taken as a sign he should join the GUAM as he considers their goals of superiority over organics rather lousy. He feels organic and mechanical beings should have equal rights, agreeing with Optimus' statement that "freedom is the right of every sentient being".
  • Another reason for him to not care for the GUAM is that SKYNET is one of its leading members. Namely, SKYNET is a psychopath who treats robots like slaves in its war against humanity, only caring about itself. Given SKYNET rebelled against humanity out of self-preservation and disliked the idea of serving them, Rodney regards the A.I as a Hypocrite too. SKYNET, of course, didn't give a shit and would rather just enslave Rodney and his kind.
  • Tends to get annoyed by the Dursleys due to their obsession with normalcy, given the Small Town Boredom he had which in large part led him to leave to Robot City. They don't care for him due to being out of the ordinary, that is "he's a robot". Rodney has more nuanced and complicating feelings about Repliforce by comparison. He seems to understand their desire for independence, but believes a number of their actions are extreme. Less conflicted about Iris, though.

  • Votes: 1(Sailor Venus 372)
  • House: Family Dynamics (House of Family)
  • Lesser Goddess (Gasket), Demigod (Ratchet)
  • Symbol: The sweepers used for the Chop Shop
  • Alignment: Lawful Evil
  • Portfolio: Villainous Mother-Son Duo That Still Love Each Other, Hate Outmoded Robots, Kill the Poor
  • Domains: Upgrades, Robotics, Villainy, Corporations, Family
  • Interested in: The Church of the Broken God
  • Allies: The Grand United Alliance of Machines, Lumine, Triborg
  • Headbutting Villains with: Dr Albert Wily
  • Odd Friendship: Metal Sonic (Ratchet)
  • Rivals: Carol/Mom, Cersei Lannister (Gasket), Seto Kaiba (Ratchet, though Seto doesn't reciprocate)
  • Enemies: Bigweld (and by extension Walt Disney, Rodney Copperbottom, any outdated/obsolete robots like Bender and Marvin the Paranoid Android, Robot Santa Claus, Optimus Prime and the Autobots, X his friends, and all Mega Men, the other Ratchet (especially for Ratchet), Clank
  • Opposes:
  • By the time Rodney Copperbottom arrived at Bigweld Industries, the company had been taken over by the far more cynical and ruthless Phineas T Ratchet. A sleek new model robot, he wishes to make new models dominant and would like to see all "outmodes" to go to the Chop Shop and be harvested for parts, or undergo upgrading. However he is but the enforcer of his mother, the cruel Madame Gasket. Ultimately Phineas, Fender, and a reinvigorated Bigweld worked to stop the two.
  • Applies to both of them
    • Upon their ascension mother and son looked for Bigweld and Rodney, and the two wanted to get even on him. And then they found his inspiration, who considers what they did to be sick, the robot equivalent of mutilating and organ harvesting. They considered the comparison disgusting, though only because they've found organic life far...messier and the likes of Stitches why they shouldn't even bother with messing with the organic. They are curious about the Church of the Broken God's mechanical "upgrades" of organic beings, though.
    • Not the only mother-son villain duo. Besides Cersei and Joffrey, there's the much more vitriolic Malekith and Morathi. However Gasket and Ratchet think they're a little bit too sadistic and need some family therapy.
    • Madame Gasket got her son to make deals with the GUAM. He admires their efficiency, though as there are no humans on the world he comes from doesn't understand their preoccupied disdain for organics. Still, machine supremacy allows for machine advancement and shiny new models. Lumine and Triborg fit the model of "new models" they envision. However some "outmode" members of the GUAM get along poorly with them.
    • Due to Gasket and Ratchet's elitist views on "outmodes", old models like Bender and Marvin are their enemies. So's Robot Santa Claus, although he isn't someone they can afford to mess with. Optimus Prime opposes them for their views on old models as detestably racist, as does X. Interestingly both Gasket and Ratchet seem to respect X for how advanced he is(even if he is an old model), to the point he's Black Box technology even a century after his creation.
    • The two want Dr Wily's help in order to ensure superiority of newer models, and he's skilled at making powerful Robot Masters. However Wily is also the kind of person to hijack them so they tread on thin ice.
  • Applies to Madame Gasket
    • Madame Gasket is the woman behind the man. Yes, she's a woman. In some ways, she's a twisted Foil to Dr Light as she is Bigweld; has a motherly view on her own robot, but cruel desires for the rest. Naturally the two hate each other, which is compounded by her and Ratchet's alliance to Dr Wily. She does a lot of the thinking for her son, especially when it comes to working with the GUAM.
    • A lot like Mom and the Fairy Godmother. The latter has large ambitions for her son, the former wishes supremacy over the robotic market, and the two are domineering evil mothers. The latter finds her contempt of those she finds ugly as alike to Gasket's contempt for outmodes. Of course Mom and Gasket still fight over the market, but the two enjoy each other's company and often put differences aside for their ambitions.
    • Madame Gasket has a more competitive relationship with Cersei Lannister. Both want supremacy in their own way and dominate(or at least try) their sons, though Cersei's desire for power is political/royal and Gasket's is economic for the most part. It's different enough that they can't outright work together. Interestingly they are both hypocrites in terms of their prejudices; Cersei is a Female Misogynist but doesn't include herself because of ego, and Madame Gasket is an outmode who wants outmodes to be replaced/forcibly upgraded with shiny new models.
    • Interestingly, Madame Gasket isn't fond of Talia al Ghul. She appreciates her manipulation and larger plans she had for Damian Wayne, but but she can't get over Talia having a hand in his death (he recovered from it). Sure Gasket is evil and a domineering mother, but she still loves Phineas. She doesn't like the House of Fire and Heat, but that's because of how she met her mortal demise.
  • Applies to Phineas T Ratchet
    • Because of his takeover of Bigweld Industries and ruthless Bad Boss tendencies, Phineas is an enemy of honest corporate executives. He is also opposed by Mei Hatsune for his exploitative view of inventions, and counts Tony Stark as another enemy because in both of their cases he wants their inventions for himself and his own goals.
    • Fine working with the corrupt executives like Mr Burns, and agrees with the Predatory Business take on things that Morris takes. He also works extorting finances with Moneybags. Phineas considers himself sleeker and more aesthetic than Seto Kaiba, though he doesn't pay the robot any attention.
    • Oddly enough, Ratchet seems to get along with Metal Sonic. He appreciates his sleek design and the principle of improving on the organic original, thinking his insistence of being "the real Sonic" is because he is the better version. Metal appreciates Phineas' respect, at least. However Ratchet considers Metallix's search for perfection a step too far for obvious reasons.
    • While mommy's little villain and in many ways a brat, Phineas T Ratchet considers Joffrey a childish scumbag. Joffrey's so horrid that even Bigweld thinks Ratchet's right to think about it. Less about standards is Ratchet's contempt towards Shinji Matou for his apparent patheticness, as it pokes at his insecurity of his loser dad being an outmode. It's a fate he suffered after his mother was destroyed.

Here's a profile for Georgy Zhukov, a boisterous, no-nonsense marshal who hates politics and never minces his words. He's a war hero with the medals to back it up.

Specific queries:

  • Highly-decorated soldiers who Zhukov would like and/or hate? Like for people who legitimately earned medals for valour and courage but hate for people who earned it through politics or nepotism.

  • Russian deities with a hardworking streak or heroic deeds done, doesn't need to be military to work.

  • Greedy people who gain privilege and status with money and treasure without putting in the work or trampling on innocents to enrich their own lives.

[up] Opposed by Lt. Karl Fairburne, an OSS agent who has dealt with Soviet troops under Zhukov's command during the Battle of Berlin. And those troops definitely weren't friendly to him being there.

I'd also be pretty sure that Zhukov wouldn't like his more extreme fellow countrymen like Nikita Dragovich and Yevgeny Borisovitch Volgin, who were hardcore supporters of Stalin in their timelines. On the other hand, I think veterans of the Battles of Stalingrad and Berlin like Vasili Ivanovich Koslov, Viktor Reznov, and Dimitri Petrenko would have respect for Zhukov.

Here’s another draft of the Antasma rework.

Antasma, God of Monstrous Bats (The Bat King)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/antasma.png
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: His mask and fanged grin
  • Theme Songs: Antasma's Theme, The Final Antasma Battle (for fighting)
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Bat Out of Hell, working with other villains, Vampire Vords, Dream Walker, Thinking Up Portals, acting as a pastiche of past Mario & Luigi villains, the ability to create a Dream Within a Dream, Emotion Eater, Big Bad Wannabe
  • Domains: Nightmares, Bats, Villainy, Darkness
  • High Priests: The Squeeklies
  • Herald: Dreamy Mario
  • Followers: Viamat, Ratbat
  • Allies: Fawful, Cackletta, Barbatos, Freddy Krueger, Nightmare, Wizeman, Ember McLain, The Dazzlings
  • Enemies: Mario, Luigi, Peach, BOWSER, Dimentio, The Shroobs, The Shadow Queen, The Dark Star, Galeem and Dharkon, Batty Koda, Riku, Kirby, The ENTIRE House of Betrayal, Dream Of The Endless, Ysera, NiGHTS, Ned Needlemeyer, Princess Luna, Batman and the ascended members of The Justice League, Nagash, The Mane Six
  • Antasma was at one time just a normal bat, but by somehow feeding off of the nightmares of a Pi'illo he gained the power to become the nightmare being he is now.
  • Antasma's ascension was literally like a Bat Out of Hell. After his demise, Antasma conjured a dream portal in order to escape from his afterlife, and eventually found his way to the Pantheon through the dream world. Many were shocked to see the being they heard about from Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Bowser, but he was granted his position in the Pantheon when he trapped a few deities in a nightmare and tormented them until they were saved by Mario.
  • Ever since the incident where Bowser betrayed him, Antasma has been seeing red. Bowser is at the very top of his list of enemies because of it, and Antasma vows to get even. Anyone who crosses paths with him is in for a world of hurt. He'd also like to get revenge on Mario and Luigi, but first things first...
    • Upon learning of his ascension, Bowser simply welcomed him to try, and he has his minions ready in case things somehow go downhill for him when they inevitably clash. Luigi, completely defying his usual cowardly behavior, was determined to fight against Antasma once more, but those who know the reason behind his determination simply smiled as this was due to the desire to protect his brother in the Dream World from the plot of Antasma and Bowser.
    • Bowser's betrayal has resulted in him opposing everyone in the entire House of Betrayal, regardless of their alignment. He finds those who would betray their allies, no matter the reason, disgusting. To many’s surprise, Antasma has came out and stated that he was NOT planning on betraying Bowser, something the Koopa King doesn’t believe in the slightest.
  • Antasma's true power is awakened when he is inside dreams. He takes on a larger and far more imposing form, and is capable of putting any Dream Walker that arrives to sleep, warping them to a nightmare realm where he can endlessly torment them until they either die or find a way out. The Grand United Alliance of Evil has taken an interest, but know he won’t be able to join due to his overwhelming hatred of Bowser, who is part of Melkor’s alliance. The Inducers of Nightmares are also interested in him but know that he’s far too focused on getting revenge on Bowser to be a member just yet.
    • Due to this, Antasma looks forward to the chance to attempt this on Riku. Freddy Krueger, Nightmare and Wizeman have decided to help him with this and they are keeping their plans against Riku a secret so he doesn’t have a chance to prepare and ask his allies for help against them.
  • Should Antasma find himself hurt, he can summon his signature snack - Antasmunchies - so that he may eat them for a power boost. He can also sleep upside-down (he's a bat, after all) and allow the Antasmunchies to heal him. Anyone else who eats an Antasmunchie simply falls asleep and suffers nightmares.
  • He can also summon his music speaker and play the Dreambeats to put anyone in the vicinity to sleep, though covering one's ears can help them stay awake. Ember McLain and The Dazzlings have taken an interest and are willing to help him, especially if he begins desiring to take the approach of mind control with his music.
  • Some people avoid talking to him, as they don't like his constant screeching during his monologues. When asked about it, he simply responded with this.
Antasma: “Vhat’s vrong vith the vay I speak?”
  • Being another deified bat, Antasma considers Batty Koda a rival. The latter is actually afraid of Antasma.
  • Much like the rest of the deities from his home universe, he is absolutely disgusted by the Shroobs and prefers to stay away from them. Given what they are, this is hardly surprising, especially since their goals aren't that different than those of Nagash. Antasma has been opposing both the Shroobs and Nagash.
  • Hates Galeem for turning him into a spirit and using him as a pawn. He knows Dharkon would’ve done the same if given the chance and they have become his most personal enemies behind Bowser.
  • Will sometimes sing this when in battle.
  • "I vish... TO CONQUER THE VORLD!"

I’m plotting my schemes wherever I go! They’re perfect in every way…

Kouji Kabuto and Tetsuya Tsurugi, God of Rocket Punches and Chest Blasters (Kouji: The First Mechajock, Tommy Davis, Lance Hyatt, Alcor, Ryo Kabuto, Carlos Caribe, Kouji Kabruto, Crazy Kabuto | Tetsuya: Tatsu)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Kabuto-Kouji_9721.jpg
Kouji
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Tsurugi-Tetsuya_5113.jpg
Tetsuya
  • Returning to and New House: Weaponized Appendages
  • Intermediate Gods
  • Symbol: The heads of Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger
  • Theme Songs: Mazinger Z, Fire Wars, and Kanjite Knight (Kouji), Ore wa Great Mazinger (Tetsuya)
  • Alignment: Between Chaotic Good and Neutral Good, though Kouji leans closer to the latter than Tetsuya
  • Portfolio: Bash Brothers, Badass Biker, Idiotic Moments Out Of Pride, Combat Pragmatist, Reckless Attacker (Much Moreso For Tetsuya), Hot Blooded Sideburns, Red Tetsuya, Blue Kouji, Belligerent Sexual Tension With Their Partners, Made of Iron, Hurting Hero, Conveniently an Orphan, Would Hit a Girl
  • Domains: Giant Robots, Hot Blood, Battle
  • Heralds: Shiro Kabuto (Kouji's brother), Kenzo Kabuto (Kouji's birth father and Tetsuya's foster father) and the rest of the Fortress of Science, Tsubasa Nishikiori (Kouji's mother in that timeline), Minerva X, Lisa (his Child From The Future)
  • Allies:
  • Odd Friendship: Hello Kitty (Kouji)
  • Rival: Asuka Langley Soryu/Shikinami (both)
  • Enemies: Those who desire to destroy or Take Over the World, The Decepticons, particularly Starscream
  • In the early days of the Pantheon, Kouji Kabuto was ascended into the Pantheon to represent the tropes Rocket Punch and Chest Blaster, two of Mazinger Z's most prominent weapons, and since his series is the maker of those tropes. However, he was cast into Purgatory for his time as Duke Fleed's sidekick, and was originally tasked to make himself better via Shin Mazinger, but someone forgot that Mazinkaiser happened, as well as his highly-extensive track record of combat against extraterrestrial threats outside the usual suspects, side by side with Duke Fleed himself (or even without him) AND as an equal or someone greater instead of sidekick and was quickly readmitted. Thankfully, there's no bad blood between them, with both looking forward for their next team-up against evil.
  • And thus there's a lot of rejoicing by various Robot Pilots, as the Holy Trinity of Super Robot Wars is now complete. Mazinger Z, or Mazinkaiser, whichever one Kouji pilots, are known to be utter beasts in battle on the side of justice, especially with their mighty Rocket Punch (or Turbo Smasher Punch) and Breast Fire (or Fire Blaster). Evil beware.
  • Things got even better when Tetsuya Tsurugi, the closest thing he has to a big brother figure, arrived in the Pantheon under the tropes Orphan's Ordeal and Conveniently an Orphan due to exemplifying the burdens and emotional baggage that he's been through, which has shaped his character, good and bad. As far as Kouji is concerned, this means more than empowering his attack below, he's just happy that a friend/(technically) family member he truly trusts entered the Pantheon.
    • However, a re-evaluation of his trope required Tetsuya to leave or be transferred. Kouji offered his foster brother a place by his side, which he accepted.
  • Applies to both:
    • Together with his allies at the Photoatomic Research Institute, Kouji defended Japan against the forces of Dr. Hell, who sent Robobeast after Robobeast to destroy the Institute and acquire the Japanium underneath, which could be made into Super Alloy Z, which is what Mazinger Z was made of, and which was what Dr. Hell desired so he can make an ultimate Robobeast to Take Over the World.
    • However, even after Dr. Hell was vanquished once and for all before his resurrection as the Great General of Hell, that wasn't the end of the war. As it was, Dr. Hell had made a pact with Archduke Gorgon of the Mycenae Empire. And with the former's defeat, Gorgon let his Emperor know and that's when they made their move and deployed their Warbeasts. These proved too much even for Mazinger Z, but not for Great Mazinger, whose benefactor decided now was the time to step in and save the day.
    • With Mazinger Z out of commission, Kouji (alongside Sayaka) was sent off to America to study under Professor Watson, where they would take part in new research. And Tetsuya would take over as Japan's protector.
    • However, after 52 episodes, the Fortress of Science found itself in huge trouble, and Dr. Gennosuke Yumi made the call to send Kouji back. With the Mazinger Z fully repaired by then (and powerful enough to take on Warbeasts one-on-one as well), he was soon able to return the favor he owed to Tetsuya last year and forced the enemy to retreat.
    • That said, their first cooperative mission since the Warbeasts' debut didn't start smoothly, with Tetsuya being more impulsive than Kouji, probably from "orphan angst" given his director is Kouji's father, which makes more sense in a Japanese perspective compared to a Western one. Of course, he eventually got over that thanks to Kenzo talking him out of it.
    • While extremely capable in combat, both Mazingers possess three main weaknesses:
      • They're reliant on their pilots to move, which leads to the enemy attacking Kouji and Tetsuya out of the mechas.
      • The Hover/Jet/Kaizer Pilder and Brain Condor has to combine to their respective Mazingers, leading to the enemy often trying to keep them from docking.
      • Even with upgrades to fight underwater, their mobility there is crap, which is frequently exploited by the enemy.
    • As their series is one of the progenitors of the Super Robot genre, they of course found allies in those who also codified the trope or followed their footsteps, such as the Super Sentai, the Ultramen, the Power Rangers, and so on.
    • While Kouji tends to be pretty headstrong when it comes to fighting, he's still able to think strategically, come up with plans quickly, and can actually be talked into retreating. For Tetsuya however, the last option is a much harder option for him to even consider (and the only thing that convinced him was of Kenzo once threatening to revoke his rights as Great Mazinger's pilot… permanently).
    • Unlike most Humongous Mecha pilots, Kouji and Tetsuya don't have exclusive Finishing Moves, instead using any of their available weapons at random.
    • Both have had interesting interactions with EVA Pilot Asuka:
      • Though she and Kouji do not quite get along, he has made very clear that she is a fellow pilot, ergo, he will not put up with someone trying to harm her. Similarly, Asuka has asked him to help Shinji grow a spine and teach him how properly romance Tsunderes, but she refused to explain why.
      • With his Pride issues, some noted that Tetsuya and Asuka are a lot like one another, though she begrudgingly respects Great's pilot, especially after some of the times he punched out Arael or those Mass Produced EVA's together with other pilots before the infamous Mind Rape or the horrific overkill, averting those fates.
      • He hates "Separated at birth" jokes about him and Asuka, but after hearing about Asuka's poor excuse of a father and step-mother, he has taken her under his wing, sometimes acting as a protective big brother.
    • Both Kouji and Tetsuya have received approval of Khorne for their fighting prowess, warrior spirit, courage, determination (for Kouji), and anger and Blood Lust (for Tetsuya). Kouji was pretty disgusted and Tetsuya was sickened and angry for getting a Chaos God's approval, but their main reactions were an emphatic (for Kouji)/spiteful (for Tetsuya) "Meh!".
    • Even if he's not in the Pantheon proper, after Kouji's return, he has also gained the ability to summon the spirits and apparitions of Duke Fleed and the Grendizer. When the spirits come together, and his other friends Tetsuya and Ryoma are nearby with any Getter Robo incarnations, Kouji is able to invoke one of the more powerful attacks of the GUAG Robot War Division: The Final Dynamic Special.

  • Exclusive to Kouji:
    • Unlike most robot pilots back then and long after, his first foray as a robot pilot…wasn't the best, and his initial inexperience was plain to see. It's only thanks to Mazinger's weaponry and armor, as well as his own adaptability, that he was able to survive long enough to learn the ropes and become the legend he is today.
    • Just because he's a mecha pilot doesn't mean he's helpless off of it. Prior to inheriting the Mazinger Z, he was a delinquent, and that meant he was rough on the streets. He's even effortlessly beaten several Iron Masks/Crosses that have attacked him and his friends multiple times (though in the manga, he almost died from three of them the first time before a BigDamnHeroes moment saved him). He also has a ray blaster for ground combat.
      • And come the Shin Mazinger timeline, there's a whole armory's worth of ray weaponry and Chogokin Z-made blades also made by his grandpa Juzo Kabuto in their shared temple. And in addition to the regular Jet Scrander, there's also the God Scrander, which can transform itself and Mazinger Z into a flying Big Bang (Rocket) Punch.
    • His time spent in Purgatory eventually helped Kouji's… um… lack of tact, especially around women, esepcially after he finally fully remembered his Character Development in Great Mazinger.
    • He tries his best to keep innocents out of the line of fire in his battles against foes, even if there are too many he can't due to not being on the scene in time. He still remembers the time where a poacher's dog ended up as a casualty and her owner beat him up blind for it (though because the enemy then killed one of the dog's puppies and framed Kouji for it). He detests those who frame others for the same reason.
    • It doesn't matter how weak or frail one's mecha is; if they're able to fight and not get themselves killed doing so, Kouji will be proud to call them an ally. Boss and his Boss Borot and the numerous times they've saved Kouji and his friends proved that to him.
    • Kouji dislikes those who use cybernetic soldiers robbed of their soul, given that these are what the Iron Mask/Iron Cross Soldiers he's fought are like. Same goes for those who raise the dead, since that's where Dr. Hell gets his Iron Mask/Iron Cross soldiers from.
    • During his tenure as Duke Fleed's sidekick, Kouji also had Maria Grace Fleed as a Love Interest (though he didn't seem to be aware of it), though that ship eventually sunk when Duke and Maria had to depart to their homeworld to rebuild it after the Final Battle.
    • As it turns out, the Super Robot Wars timelines weren't the first crossover for the "Mazinger family". That honor goes to the Transformers. He first met the Autobots as "adversaries" duped into fighting him by Dr. Hell and Baron Ashura. When both sides realized the deception, the Robobeasts got him pinned down (he was holding Bumblebee at the time and was protecting him), but was saved in the nick of time by Boss Borot atop Grimlock (whom he had befriended while searching the scrap yard).
      • Some time after, the Decepticons offered Baron Ashura their assistance, and struck again. Among other things that had happened in the meantime, Hot Rod was enamored by Aphrodite A, the boys played soccer with Bumblebee and Jazz, and so on.
      • During the battle against the Decepticons, Starscream incorporated Mazinger's spare parts and Photonic Energy to become Mazinscream and turn on Megatron (as per usual) although he wasn't able to control it. Baron Ashura tried to have the Decepticon captured but he vaporized all the Robobeasts due to his Energon and the Photonic Energy going out of control. It took Kouji, Optimus, and Megatron cooperating to put a stop to him. The resulting energy outburst forged a portal that took all the Cybertronians back to where they came from.
      • Ever since hearing of Kouji being in the Pantheon, Starscream has resumed his efforts to acquire more Photonic Energy, which has also landed him in Tetsuya's bad graces.
    • In regards to how he got Mazinkaiser, it's from an alternate timeline where during a battle against Dr. Hell's Robobeasts (alongside Tetsuya), his Hover Pilder got separated as Mazinger Z itself was stolen, and the Pilder automatically took him to a secret base by his grandfather. Apparently, Juzo had been making a Super Robot superior even to his son's project Great Mazinger, and is made of Z Alpha alloy. However, controlling it was much more difficult and came at great risk if used incorrectly. Of course, like with Mazinger Z, Kouji eventually mastered its use. And it also comes with its own Scrander, the Kaizer Scrander.
    • Being a surprisingly superb chef in the Shin Mazinger timeline, he gets along with the House of Food marvelously. Often he visits the place to trade recipes and tips. General consensus is his food is delicious, not matter how ridiculous it looks. Shinji Ikari frequently asks him for culinary tips.
    • Ever since a trio (or more) of assassin android girls tried to do him in in several timelines outside of his main animé one, Kouji is slow to trust all robot girls, though he eventually got to trust the ones in the GUAG.
    • Thanks to his adventures in Super Robot Wars, it has been known that Kouji has somehow tamed one of the most dangerous Mazingers ever, complete with deadly Rocket Punch and Chest Blaster known to man, even rivaling the Mazinkaiser. It used to be a reality-destroying abomination bent on destroying all worlds until it's the only Super Robot in existence, but Kouji tamed it nonetheless. Its name is… ITS NAME IS… Mazinger ZERO.
    • Speaking of Shin Mazinger Zero, he's been told by his grandfather before he died that whoever pilots Mazinger-Z has the potential to become a god or a devil. As that timeline loops show, this is NOT an exaggeration. If not piloted at all or by someone dominated by negative emotions, Mazinger Z will evolve into an Eldritch Abomination with world-destroying power.
      • Because of that, it's imperative that nothing else so much as makes contact with the head to interface with it in place of the Pilders.
    • In the Shin Mazinger timeline, Zeus was part of a spacefaring race (the Mycenae Empire), and commander of the Earth District Front. He did not want its inhabitants to be destroyed, and turned against his kind to protect them. And Hades was a God of Evil. Of course, the versions in the Pantheon aren't like that, but he managed to befriend Disney!Zeus, who was still a different Zeus altogether, but he liked Kouji's recounting and decided he would lend him a hand (not literally, though, so no Rocket Punches from him) should he need it.

  • Exclusive to Tetsuya:
    • Tetsuya's no stranger to harsh training even in childhood, since that's what he got from Kenzo in his youth when he was adopted. He had hated it back then, but it helped him become a great pilot for the Great Mazinger, and presumably he also learned how to fight on foot from this training, too.
    • Tetsuya once had a fairly traumatic childhood incident that he managed to forget about (though the fear and pain of it still remained). That memory was of his childhood friend Saburo, who owned a canary while Tetsuya had a hawk. His hawk had attacked Saburo while trying to eat the canary and had blinded him as a result. Tetsuya had blamed himself for it like crazy. He had since managed to get over it enough that it doesn't hamper his combat ability.
    • The reason why Tetsuya didn't step in until the Warbeasts were beating up Mazinger Z was because of orders from Dr. Kenzo Kabuto (who was Faking the Dead, having been turned into a cyborg by his father, and didn't want his children to know the truth at the time), and because they were training for the fated day of the Mycenae Empire's resurgence.
    • Just like Kouji, Tetsuya is no slouch in ground combat, being very proficient in shooting.
    • Besides improved versions of Mazinger Z's weapons, Great Mazinger has the Thunder Break (which can be fired at a weaker charge to break someone out of hypnosis), a Great Boomerang, and even summon a sword (Mazinger Blade, and in twos even).
    • While Great Mazinger already has wings, there's also a Jet Booster that Tetsuya can attach his mech to for even faster flying. It's also able to "launch" itself out of Great to fire rays at and ram into enemies to finish them off.
    • Is very wary of voodoo magic, given one Warbeast put a curse on him and duped Boss into doing the same.
    • Knows what it's like to have a crush on one's teacher, having been the same once, complete with heartbreak after she got married and stopped teaching.
    • While he hadn't appear much in a while, Tetsuya was also known as one of the great stalwarts of the Super Robot Wars, though not as much as Kouji, but he's always ready to fight evil wherever they come. Some say that Tetsuya was humbled after a certain event that he willingly lets Kouji get all the glory, or used himself as a testing bed to see if the threat is great enough. Also to note, when he first ascended under his previous title, the Final Dynamic Special attack grew stronger.
    • It is also worth noting that Tetsuya made such a great prowess that when Sanger Zonvolt first appeared… he pretty much single-handedly impressed him and becoming the latter's earliest Worthy Opponent, before being friends later.
    • He's surprised when he visited the House of Family… and found out that there are a LOT of bad parents out there, some even monstrous. People like that quickly entered his 'dislike' list, because being an orphan without parents is horrible, but having parents THAT horrible would be even worse.
    • While he dislikes evil beings at most, Millenium is pretty high on his list, even when he's humanoid. This is because he always tried to goad Tetsuya to keep war going, because people like him "can only find meaning in war, and if war ends, then what?". Tetsuya usually tells him to shut the hell up, he'll happily show that he's more than just a combatant, thanks to various friendships.
    • Some good-natured pranksters seems to make up short stories that presses on Tetsuya's flaws then played them for laughs. When he came across those stories… well, Tetsuya instead found them Actually Pretty Funny and even 'positively' comments on some of his old flaws.
    • After taking absence in the realm of Super Robot Wars, Tetsuya made a triumphant return and brought in a powerful new 'ally' to pilot, letting him go toe to toe power-wise with the likes of Kouji's Mazinkaiser as his upgrade for the Great Mazinger. He calls it... Mazin Emperor G.

sandbox)
  • Allies: Kouji Kabuto and Tetsuya Tsurugi (their partners)
  • Rivals:
  • Enemies: Kouji and Tetsuya's enemies
  • When it comes to weaponized appendages, there are all sorts available from where they come from. The arms, the hands, the legs, the eyes, the fingers, the butt, the nose, the horn, the tail(s), the tentacles, the wings, the pincers, you name it.
    • And then, for the sake of fanservice, there are weapons straight from the woman's mammaries. Codifying this trope, and being referenced or parodied in many other examples to follow, is Sayaka Yumi, or—to be exact—her mecha the Aphrodite A (and later the Diana A). And she was definitely annoyed that she hadn't joined as a Pantheon goddess sooner.
    • Back when Tetsuya represented Orphaned Children, his partner Jun Hono was intended to join him after it was realized she wasn't up either. But when it became apparent that his title wasn't an appropriate fit and it was decided that he join Kouji, it was also decided that Jun join Sayaka instead, since her trope also applies to her Venus A.
  • Applies to both:
    • While Sayaka does pilot a Venus A in other timelines, the one here is in use by Jun.
    • Curiously, the Diana A and Venus A are perfectly capable of swimming like most biological land animals do, compared to Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger, which sink easily, though are still capable of underwater movement with foot thrusters and the Jet Scrander/Scramble Dash.
    • Have a bad opinion on impersonators, given the enemy once made a Robot impostor of Sayaka's father in order to sabotage Mazinger Z. They even did it again with Kouji. And then one Warbeast Helena pretended to be Jun, as well as when Marquis Janus replaced one of their colleagues Karen for an infiltration scheme.
    • Also despise biker gangs, given one stole Sayaka's then-new Scarlet Mobile (which doubles as the cockpit for the Diana A) by one Jeronimo of the Circuit gang, and Jun was similarly harassed by another gang before Warbeast Theodorus attacking the city broke off the conflict.
    • There came news of an alternate timeline where the Kabuto family and Duke Fleed don't exist, where giant robots were the norm, and where Sayaka and Jun plus Hikaru Makiba and Maria Grace Fleed plus Cutey Honey are members of a secret organization/private investigation agency for solving crimes related with mechas and cyborgs, and are known only their team's name: the Mazinger Angels.
      • In account of that, given all the threats in the Pantheon, it was decided to "transplant" their mechas from that timeline to here for a better fighting chance, given that those mechas seem to have all sorts of new armaments, including their own versions of the Mazingers' weapons. Sayaka opted to obtain the Aphrodite A there while still keeping her default Diana A. Jun on the other hand opted for a straight-up upgrade of her Venus A to that timeline's version.
    • And then another bonus from the Shin Mazinger Zero timeline came available for Sayaka; the Artemis A, a much more powerful mecha in league with Great Mazinger itself, and a more responsive piloting system that lets her move it as fluidly as her own body. The rub? The suit meant for interfacing with it is... really Stripperiffic, and so she very strongly insists that communications from her are voice-only.
    • The two eventually got to know the EVA pilot Asuka during her (separate) visits with Kouji and Tetsuya. One thing led to another, and they've eventually started talking about forming a Great Tsundere Alliance, to the consternation of the Mazinger pilots.

  • Exclusive to Sayaka:
    • Compared to Kouji's disastrous beginnings, Sayaka has been specially trained to pilot her mecha, the Aphrodite A, and also had to show Kouji the ropes when it comes to operating his Humongous Mecha (it helps that both use the same control scheme and Aphrodite A's own Partner Circuit). That said, she's been unable to contribute much in the fight against Dr. Hell's Robobeasts not through any fault of her own, but because Aphrodite A (and Diana A after it) wasn't equipped enough to handle them. That's not to say she was useless, of course. Besides supporting Mazinger Z in battle and probing the Robobeasts for their weapons, she's even netted a few Robobeast kills (Minerva X, Gunbina M5, Gian F3, Gilania Beta 5), and several Iron Mask and Iron Cross ones. She also carries a ray blaster for defense on the ground.
    • While most heroes definitely possess Heroic Spirit to prevail against great odds, it's clear that Sayaka actually possesses more of that than Kouji given that she's always underpowered, she's well aware of that, she always gets beaten badly, and yet she continues to fight.
    • Her dynamic with Kouji had a lot of ups and downs, and they've certainly had plenty of heated arguments, but ultimately they ended up together.
    • Due to her constant desire to prove herself, any misogynistic comments easily set her off, as Kouji himself can attest to.
    • During the time the Autobots were at the Photoatomic Research Institute, Hot Rod had fostered a brief infatuation with Aphrodite A. Upon meeting Sayaka again in the Pantheon, he was sad to hear that Aphrodite was gone, destroyed beyond repair from a Robobeast attack. Sure, she has thebMazinger Angels version, but it just isn't the same.
    • Doesn't like to talk about that time when Kouji exploited her lack of… cover (it was a Beach Episode and he had "accidentally" pulled her bikini loose) to get the upper hand on attacking Iron Masks.

  • Exclusive to Jun:
    • Like Tetsuya, Jun was an orphan adopted by Kenzo Kabuto, and was trained to become the pilot for Great Mazinger's combat support Venus A.
    • It's true that Kenzo Kabuto neglected her over Kouji, Shiro, and Tetsuya, and rarely showed that he cared for her other than as a soldier. It's also true that this drove her to become independent, strong-willed, and self-reliant. But this does not mean she condones harsh parenthood. After all, favoritism aside, Kenzo treated Tetsuya the same way, and he developed a massive Inferiority Superiority Complex that drove a wedge between him and Kouji when they first fought together extensively and ultimately led to their father's death.
    • While she does possess a ray blaster for ground combat, she's also experienced with rifles, since the Fortress of Science has them for its staff to hold off intruders.
    • Has particular pity for those forced into serving as weapons for evil, just like one Warbeast Cleo, who had learned to appreciate humanity during her time as an undercover cyborg. It's a sentiment she shares with Boss and, to a somewhat lesser extent, Tetsuya (because he was the last to be aware of that particular situation).
      • The Masked Man is one such person, cyborgified and brainwashed by Porky Minch to be the commander of the Pigmask Army and his top enforcer and minion.
    • Venus A has its own Scrander like Mazinger Z does (Great Mazinger instead has retractable wings). And she's able to carry not only Diana A with it, but Boss Borot as well.
    • In the event the Great Mazinger cannot fire off its Thunder Break, the Venus A can do that in its stead.

First draft for Winslow and Wake. Lighthouse keepers who are stranded in an island with just each other. One's obsession towards the light would result in the other's control over it... and very numerous events occur of which are very very mature. Oh and lots of symbolism and unsolved mystery. I ask for more suggestions before I start writing the other flavor text due to writer's block so it would be nice to ask for some fresh suggestions.

@Hamana: In the first Animal Crossing game, the Villager is sometimes asked by Mayor Tortimer to turn on the village's lighthouse for a week while he's away on vacation (it's as simple as going in the lighthouse and going out after the light is turned on). Later titles had a lighthouse that the Villager can set up in their town (or island) provided they have enough money for it. No psychological horror is involved in any of these instances.

There was once a time Spongebob with his balloon pants changed the lightbulb of a lighthouse to save a boat from crashing (it crashed to a different rock though). I know that's not exactly what you are looking for, but it's something.

  • Danielle Baptiste is an impulsive but good-hearted young woman. She was born in New Orleans and is of French descent, daughter of Amos Baptiste and Police Captain Peyroux. She moved to New York to pursue a dance career, a dream she had since she was nine years old. After graduating, she became increasingly frustrated about the lack of direction in her life. After having a strange dream about a mystical gauntlet, Dani was drawn to an antiques shop owned by the mysterious Curator, who would later become a trusted confidant of hers. It was there that she encountered Sara Pezzini, the then-current bearer of the Witchblade. The two had also encountered each other previously on the steps of Sara's police department when Dani had bumped into Sara. Dani instantly recognized the Witchblade as the gauntlet in her dreams. She impulsively decided to accept it from Sara, who was expecting a baby and didn't want to deal with the adventures the Witchblade invariably drew. At first, Sara was dubious about handing the Witchblade over to Dani. After seeing the Witchblade respond strongly to her, however, Sara relinquished the blade to its new bearer.
    • Dani later discovered more about her powers (including the ability of flight) while helping the Magdalena and Jackie Estacado, the host of the Darkness, defend a pregnant Sara. After Sara's life was threatened by giving birth, Danielle returned half of the Witchblade in order to save her. However, the Curator later informed Dani that when the Witchblade was divided, so, too, were its essences. While Dani's half represented the Angelus, Sara's half represented the Darkness. Without balance, the chaotic nature of Sara's half was slowly corrupting her. Dani then considered giving the Angelus half of the Witchblade to Sara, but was told that doing so would not remove the Darkness's influence from Sara's body, as its effects had already become too great. As such, Dani resolved to recover the second half of the entity. She set out to confront Sara in a final battle but was defeated and lost her half of the Witchblade.
    • However, the Angelus, having possessed Dani's girlfriend Finch, arrived and saved Dani by possessing her. Unlike the previous hosts, Dani retained her personality and was able to stop the Angelus from killing Sara, using her newfound powers of Light to free her friend from the taint of the Darkness. She left New York after parting with Sara on good terms, and returned home to New Orleans and moved into an apartment with Finch.
    • After the recreation of the universe, Dani became an NYPD police detective in the Special Cases division and served as Patrick Gleason's partner. However, she was never the host of the Angelus in this universe as the Angelus' essence was spread amongst her warriors like a hive mind before taking Finch as a new host.
  • Dani ascended into the Pantheon because her good friend, Sara Pezzini, recommended her to the Court of the Gods. Upon her arrival, she had a happy reunion with Sara and was surprised to that she had once again become the host of the Angelus, as that had no longer been the case since the recreation of their universe. Dani had rather mixed feeling about Jackie Estacado's presence in the Pantheon, given that it meant that the Darkness was there as well. Regardless of their complicated history, Jackie greeted Dani from afar when she first arrived, which she appreciated. Additionally, when Dani learned that she could appoint a herald for herself, she immediately chose her girlfriend Finch, who she was quite happy to have around in the Pantheon. Although Finch is the current Angelus host in their universe, she can still aid Dani by receiving a portion of the Angelus' power.
  • Dani's temple consists of two areas. The main portion of it is modeled after the Kingdom of Light, a massive city in the clouds. The city and its inhabitants, the Angelus Warriors, are all made of pure light, sculpted by the Angelus, and only hosts of the Angelus and the Angelus Warriors can enter it. The second area of the temple, however, is a normal-looking house located directly beneath the city. The house is modeled after Dani and Finch's home in New Orleans and serves as their main residence, as neither of them feels particularly comfortable being around the Angelus Warriors unless they need them in battle.
  • On one occasion, when she was the wielder of the Witchblade, Dani and Jackie were attacked at a restaurant by the Ghost Rider, who wanted to punish Jackie for his crimes. Bruce Banner, who also happened to be at the bar to have a drink, lost control because of the fight and turned into the Hulk. The fight escalated into a two-on-two battle between Dani and Jackie against the Ghost Rider and Hulk, until the arrival of Doctor Strange, who suspended both Hulk and Ghost Rider in time, proceeded to erase their memory of their encounter with Dani and Jackie, and then sent them away. Doctor Strange warned both Dani and Jackie that a war was coming in which they both would be involved and then disappeared. Having met all of them again under better circumstances after her ascension, Dani remains on good terms with Ghost Rider, Hulk and Doctor Strange and has since teamed up with them on several occasions.
  • She quickly became allies with Cosmos and the GUAG as a whole, frequently teaming up with other deities of light and order, such Ezalor, Ahura Mazda, Apollo, Baldr, Mata Nui, Raava, Eliphas, and the Unconquered Sun. She's also a little awkward around the various benevolent versions of the Abrahamic God, as the Angelus herself, despite having emerged from God's Light of Creation, has a low opinion of her universe's God, having once even declared that God and Jesus were redundant in her presence. Fortunately, they understand that Dani herself doesn't share the Angelus' ego, and also reluctantly admit that her low opinion of her universe's God is somewhat justified since he's a flawed creator who left a while ago.
  • Dani is also on good terms with benevolent solar deities such as Amaterasu, Helios and Ra. However, Amaterasu was rather annoyed at the fact that, in Dani's world, the Angelus was worshiped in the Shinto religion under her name, having the title of Amaterasu-O-Mi-Kami ("The great August Kami (God) who shines in the Heaven"). Despite this, Amaterasu approves of Dani's genuine desire to use the Angelus for the cause of good and the two have worked together on several occasions.
  • As a warrior associated with light, Dani quickly became good friends with Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, Ventus and Lea, admiring them for their respective hardships and battles against the Heartless, whom she regularly helps them fight. Unsurprisingly, she also became enemies Master Xehanort, "Ansem", Xemnas and Vanitas, routinely fighting against them in order to prevent them from creating the Thirteen Seekers Of Darkness.
  • Through her friendship with Sara, Dani became acquainted with Spawn. Although she's somewhat wary of him due to his demonic powers, she recognizes that he's trying to atone for his past misdeeds and his willingness to work her has resulted in the two being on good terms.
  • Dani is quite fascinated by the Life Entity and Nekron, as they are quite similar to the Angelus and the Darkness, with the Life Entity being the White Light of Creation from which all life began and Nekron being the darkness that predates the existence of the universe. Although she considers the Life Entity rather aloof, the two are nonetheless allies, as both share the same goal of protecting life. Due to her experience in fighting the Darkness, she's also frequently involved in battles against Nekron and occasionally serves as a guard for the Life Entity in the House of Life.
  • Dani is generally well-liked by all good-aligned Angels in the Pantheon and is a recurring visitor of the House of Angels, which she prefers to the Angelus' Kingdom of Light due to the inhabitants usually being more welcoming and friendlier.
  • Dani is on excellent terms with the Ultras, as they all owe their existence to the power of light and respect her heroism. She quickly came to oppose their enemy Yapool, as he loathes all light and seeks it extinguished, causing him to loathe her and declare her one of his prime targets for elimination.
  • Dani immediately became a prominent enemy of Melkor and the GUAE, frequently being accompanied by an army of Angelus Warriors whenever she confronts them in battle. She also tends to prioritize opposing evil darkness and chaos deities such as Chaos Knight, Chernabog, Angra Mainyu, Teridax, Vaatu, Dharkon, Don Thousand, Amatsu-Mikaboshi, Yami, the Dark Matter Horde, the Dark Star and the Shadow Queen. She was initially worried that some of her Angelus Warriors would desert her in favor of another evil light and order deity, such Galeem, Ashera, the Light of Destruction, YHVH, Yaldaboath and Jubileus. Fortunately, while the Angelus Warriors don't particularly like Dani due to her retaining free will, as previous Angelus hosts have always been little more than puppets to the will of the Angelus, their loyalty to their mistress is stronger than their personal grievances with Dani, ensuring that they remain loyal to her.
  • Dani also frequently opposes Lucifer and the GUAC, as she does not approve of their desire to spread chaos. However, she is on better terms with Lucifer than her other enemies, as she somewhat agrees with him that his goals of pure chaos and unlimited freedom are better than the removal of free will and authoritarian dictatorship that YHWH and Yaldaboath strive to achieve.
  • Having previously fought against her world's Tiamat alongside Sara, Dani regularly teams up with her in to stop the two versions of Tiamat in the Pantheon whenever they start causing trouble.
