Intermediate Gods

    Illyasviel von Einzbern
Illyasviel "Illya" von Einzbern, Goddess of Beast-Controlling Children (Ilyasviel, Ilya, Buruma, Einzbern's White Holy Grail, Alter Ego, Sitonai)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ilya.png
As Sitonai
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Symbol: Illya's command seal.
  • Theme song: Tsuki no Namida by Mai Kadowaki, Die Lorelei, Suite: Illyasviel von Einzbern
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil, becomes Chaotic Good later on.
  • Portfolio: The only one with the hold on Berserker, Half-Japanese and Half-German, Clingy Jealous Girl, Faking her politeness, Cute and Psycho, Defeat Means Friendship, Evil child, Graceful Ladies Like Purple, Happily taken in by Shirou and his household later on, The tiny girl to Berserker's huge guy, Hypnotic Eyes, Mystical White Hair, Our Homunculi Are Different, The Resenter
  • Domains: Magic, Youth, Life, Family
  • Heralds: Her maids, Sella and Leysritt
  • Allies:
  • Rivals: The younger Illya, Chloe von Einzbern, Mordred/Saber of Red, Mandy, Ika Musume
  • Enemies:
  • Opposed by: The rest of the House of Family
  • Odd Friendship: Asura, Hibiki Tachibana, Haruka Kotoura
  • Illyasviel von Einzbern is the child of Kiritsugu Emiya and Irisviel von Einzbern, born as an experiment by the Einzbern family to see if homonculi can bear children like a human and Irisviel accepts since she wanted a child. Illya was uninvolved during the Fourth Fuyuki Holy Grail War but she did participate in the fifth one once she heard about the existence of Shirou Emiya. After her parents left her without no one to care for her but her maids Sella and Leysritt, Illyasviel underwent painful preparations for the upcoming Grail War and it's not helped that the Black Grail taunts her and lies to her that her father killed her mother and left Illya because he doesn't care for her. By the time she has summoned Berserker, Illya had become a troubled and cold-hearted child and became resentful of Shirou yet also attached to him, demanding him real answers regarding her father. In two timelines, Shirou was able to reach out to her and gave her the kind treatment she had lacked in her life with one letting her live a normal life until the end of her short lifespan and one sacrificing herself to help Shirou defeat Sakura and bring her back to normal. But one timeline has her life cut short by Gilgamesh in order to power the Black Grail for his own ends of finding the worthy into his new world. With the merging of timelines caused by Rin, Illya had gained all memories of each of them.
  • Illya ascended when the Court of the Gods were reviewing her performance during the 5th Holy Grail War and were impressed by her skilful control over Berserker. However, Illya was surprised that said Berserker, Hercules in the realm of the Pantheon, has the ability to turn off the Madness Enchantment and thus become more lucid. But because he's such a fun Big Brother Mentor regardless, Illya treats it as a welcome change.
  • Shirou was one of the first deities to greet her in and one of the first things she did to him back is to run up and hug him. They didn't had a good footing back then but once she realized he is unaware of why her parents left her, she started to become nice to him; also you may be forgiven if you think Shirou is the older sibling, since Illya is actually two years older despite looking and acting a lot younger. Taiga is also glad to see her star student of the Taiga Dojo back and while Illya also questions Taiga's childishness and eccentricities, she nonetheless finds her a fun presence. And of course, Illyasviel finally ran into her parents on one walk and she yelled at them for abandoning her and then broke down crying because she did a lot of things that she regretted. Kiritsugu and Irisviel replied by crouching down next to her, hugging her and apologizing profusely. After some time has passed, they all then both went to the house of Nature to go looking for chestnuts like Kiritsugu promised which later prompts Illya to get them to meet Shirou.
    • Illya's relationships with Saber, Rin and Sakura are okay at best and rivalric at worst. Saber at first couldn't believe Illya is Irisiviel's daughter (because she didn't bothered to ask her) but once they got to know each other, they got along pretty well and Sakura also becomes okay with Illya who plays nice to her as well when she heard about her situation with the Matous. Rin barely wins Illya over, because they still haven't settled that "bedsheet incident" a while back but otherwise they have some civil conversations.
    • Illyasviel had met her magical girl counterpart before alongside the latter's versions of Shirou, Rin, Magical Ruby, and Luvia, but unfortunately the interaction between the two Illyas was mostly offscreen, which prompts some to speculate that their first meeting is along the lines of this scene, with a little hostility from the older Illya and frightening from the younger one. Either way, their current relationship seems more cordial but retained some sense of contention. As for Chloe & Miyu, Illya likes Chloe but sees her as a literal perversion of herself and often puts her in miserable situations for causing trouble which Chloe is salty at but Illya is more merciful towards Miyu, especially when she heard of the latter's situation with her family and being another alternate universe counterpart of hers with Miyu likewise finds the older Illya scary at first but later on sees that she's not at all bad all the time.
    • It's very obvious that Illya does not like Gilgamesh and Avenger since the former killed her and took her heart to power the Holy Grail in one timeline and the latter taunted her and lied to her about what actually happened to her parents. Gilgamesh sees her both as another mongrel and a means to an end (less so as his Caster self) and Avenger couldn't care less about her lately, though he won't mind mentally torturing her again for kicks.
    • Illya also began to hate Kirei Kotomine and Zouken Matou for their parts in the Fifth Holy Grail War and even moreso when she found out about how they manipulated Shirou and the other girls for their own ends, prompting her to consider very painful ways of torturing them. Kotomine also sees her as a means to end of seeing the world end and finds her painful past admirable (not a generous compliment) while Zouken sees her as a window to Justeaze, who chastised him for losing sight of his original goal of a utopia that eliminates hatred and suffering entirely that he shared with her.
    • Ritsuka Fujimaru got acquainted to her via his contract with Sitonai, who along with two other goddesses Freya and Louhi possess her to become one singular Servant who helped Ritsuka through the second Lostbelt and one of Shuten-douji's latest schemes. Illya has vague memories of seeing Ritsuka and being possessed, but if it means having more chances to do good then she'll gladly let herself host three goddesses to help him. He also pre-warned her about Goetia, who threatened Earth's history to "save" humanity which Illya accepts, seeing Goetia's motivations as unfounded.
    • Through Hercules, Illya got acquainted with his fellow Greek heroes Achilles, Atalante and Chiron. They started to see why Herc has a reason to keep on fighting nobly in spite of his Madness Enhancement and welcomes her for a change; Atalante likes her since she's technically still a child and hopes she's isn't Beyond Redemption unlike Assassin of Black and Chiron hopes to teach her properly on whatever she's curious about.
  • The other gods go out of their way to avoid Illya because while she has made it perfectly clear to the other deities that Berserker will never attack unless Illya tells him to (mostly because she doesn't want to accidentally hurt someone she cares about), they're still nervous because of his name and the typical personality that is associated with it. Strangely enough, Asura and Hibiki Tachibana sympathise with Illya because they know what it's like to hurt someone you care about while you're not in control of your actions.
  • Illya sympathises with Haruka Kotoura because she knows what it's like to feel abandoned by her family. She also knows what it's like to find out her parents deeply regretted their actions. Ditto with Hilda, and Illya calls her mother unworthy of taking care of her which is something Hilda is okay with. Illya can see where Mordred is coming from and finds her world's Morgan le Fay to be horrible but when it comes to disputes and also fights, she'll always side with Saber which makes Mordred grumble in frustration.
  • Ika Musume was impressed by Illya's methods of forcing others to be her servant, you either hold them captive and threaten to hurt their friends or form an emotional bond with them; Ika prefers the first method the best. Illya meanwhile, barely notices Ika there and assumes it's the wind.
  • Illya actively opposes Father because, as a possible vessel for the Holy Grail, she doesn't want him to create an object that effectively does the same thing. Her investigation into Father's plans led her into a fight between Lust and Greed. While Lust retreated, Greed, who has issues with his old man and with telling lies, proceeded to tell her everything. Having earned her trust that day, they've occasionally hung out since then. He considers her a good-natured change of pace compared to the other homunculi in his family (as well as hers once she told him a little about them), while she finds his honesty refreshing (even though he tends to be more careful what he says when she's got Hercules summoned, he still makes it a point not to lie to her).
    • Illya finds Father's once-herald Dante even more despicable, given that in Dante's timeline of that same world the homunculi were actually incomplete revived humans, most of whom she didn't even create but all of whom would be used for her selfish ends.
  • One day Illya caught Hercules at the tail end of an uneasy conversation with Princess Diana/Wonder Woman and, curious, asked him about it once Diana was gone. She then received his confession of the terrible things he'd done to Diana and her people in the superheroine's universe. Though surprised, she didn't get mad at him like he thought she would because she instantly figured out that Hera's curses of madness upon Hercules had somehow caused this to happen. Curious as to why Hera's curse would make him power-hungry and evil in the DC Universe instead of simmering within him and bursting out in a fit of uncontrolled rage as usual, Illya and her Berserker went to the house of Knowledge to do some research as well as started taking a closer look at his abilities. So far they managed to figure out that fighting under Madness Enhancement helps him work Hera's madness out of his system.
    • When Herc told her that Hera helped create the Themiscyran Amazons and probably doesn't realize her fault in this matter, she realized it would be best not to tell either Hera or Wonder Woman about it until they fully figure out what's going on so they don't get the two upset — either at him or at each other.
  • Whenever she has a chat with Greed while Hercules is summoned and follows that up with another chat where he isn't, Greed will usually have some insight about the previous conversation which he didn't have before. Normally she would chalk that up to her Berserker being intimidating, but Greed only exercises extra caution around him, he doesn't tell lies, and his follow-up comments often please Illya so it would make no sense to hide them the first time around. That, and she's heard that Hercules in his normal state is a frequent patron of Greed's latest bar, Stray Dog. So she's already figured out what's really going on: Herc stands there being scary while the three of them are together, but covertly pitches in his thoughts at Greed's bar, and Greed passes along the insight he gets out of it next time she meets with him. She makes it a point to be nice to Hercules in the aftermath of the second chats as a way of cleverly thanking him while letting him think his secret is still clear until such a time comes when Greed himself catches on.
  • Illya has been confused with a former member of the Children's wing, Illyana Rasputin, in large part due to their similar-starting names. Both have gotten annoyed with the mix-up, so Illyana doesn't visit often after being moved to the house of Emotion's Sadness sub-house. Besides that, the two get along okay and there's no ill will between them. She does share Illyana's disgust with Dr. Gero, though considering the old man practiced mad science on a couple of teenagers to turn them into killing machines, it should come as no surprise the entire House of Children hates his guts.
  • Speaking of the Sadness subhouse, Avatar Korra was recently moved there to get her own seat separate from Touta Konoe. When Asami Sato held a party to celebrate, Greed got an invite, and took one for Illya. She met up with Hercules and it turned out he had an invitation too. At the party, noting how comfortable Illya and Hercules were with each other, Greed was surprised but glad to see that she apparently had a real friend other than Berserker, only for Hercules to give a curious reply about being the "closest thing to a monster" she knows. Olivier Armstrong's suspicions and Toph Beifong's confirmation that he told no lie allowed Edward Elric to deduce that Hercules and Berserker were one and the same.
    • Upon Greed's reaction of shock that Hercules had tricked him for such a long time, Illya finally revealed to Hercules that she'd long figured his plan out, shocking the demigod and turning the laugh at his expense. Illya then demonstrated the Mad Enhancement and spent several minutes explaining what she could about the Holy Grail Wars and the concept of Servants. Korra and Touta both decided they wanted to spar with Berserker in the future.
    • Illya also has acquainted herself with them through him. Having a mutual friend in Hilda, she found a footing with Asami regarding their relationship with their respective parents and making up to them eventually though Asami's dad sacrificed himself soon after. Korra and Touta is amazed that she is able to keep Herc on a leash and Edward is both amazed that homunculus like her is able to live long enough (no thanks to Shirou in one timeline) and glad that there is another ally to help him in opposing Father.
  • The other gods find it odd that Illya loves Shirou but they're smart enough to know that they shouldn't tell her that Shirou's never going to notice her because Illya has a lot of imaginative ways to torture others such as lopping off all your limbs, decapitating you and cursing your head so you can't die or lose consciousness unless the head is destroyed. That said, there are a few who actually think she has a chance of getting his attention, with Greed being among them.
    • As he is a master in Cold-Blooded Torture, Asdrubael Vect verily unsettles Illya a lot which says a lot about him and it doesn't help that he has a creepy interest in Sakura and her own suffering. Asdrubael Vect in turn sees Illya the same as Sakura; her past is a spectacle enough to entertain Slaanesh.
  • Haruto Soma and Mai Takatsukasa are two people Illya hadn't imagine herself meeting until now, with Haruto finding her to be reminiscent of Koyomi and even was saddened by her backstory and Mai reminds Illya of her mother Irisviel being a vessel of the Holy Grail since Mai is also the holder of the Golden Fruit which is just like the Grail and it helps that Mai is good with kids. Both of them warned the threat of Sou Fueki, who did all of his evil actions just to revive his daughter who is indeed Koyomi which she accepts, seeing the tragedy of his motivations as saddening; Fueki himself sees a lot of Koyomi in Illya, making him even more determined to bring her back.
  • Illya found an unlikely ally in Gertrud Barkhorn, not only due to sharing a voice and being German in a way but also because the two of them only hurt others if they get between them and their crushes; Gertrud still thinks Illya needs to dial back her gore-y methods. Like her, Elize Lutus also has a reduced lifespan caused by Teepo, a Booster draining it not unlike Illya being a homuculus who usually have very short lifespans; Elize was a little scared of Illya at first, but once she hanged out with her and Berserker she realized that they are quite fun once she got to know them.
  • Initially starting out as an Enfante Terrible at the start of Shirou's story, Illyasviel got acquainted with others that are simliar like Sora Shuin'in and Mandy. She met Sora while she's playing around fallen leaves with Berserker and they both sensed bad auras from each other right away, so a fight ensued which ended in a draw. They later talked it out and realized they had more common ground than they think (a Creepy Child who has gone through painful pasts, getting more kinder through newfound connections, faking cuteness to get what they want) and decided to keep in touch with each other; Illya even offered to slaughter Professor Akaba for him but Sora luckily convinced her out of it.
    • Mandy is a little irked that Illya has largely dropped her ruthless methods but is otherwise fine with her presence while Illya thinks Mandy is being a stuck-up. Of course, it's also not saying much when she also dislike the creepy Hansel & Gretel and Rhoda Penmark and is trying to stop herself from torturing them bloodily; the twins couldn't care less about Illya and Rhoda is actually quite scared of what Illya can cook up for her torture and is greatly distancing herself from Illya's and Berserker's sight.
    • On that note, the rest of the House of Family is not to keen on Illya joining them since she was really ruthless, cold and vicious back when she was a minor villain. Illya was not surprised at their opinion but she is rather disappointed and sad that her actions can cost such a reputation.
  • Aiding Shirou and Ritsuka might be one step into doing good for real, but her actions against the former still warrant some criticism and Illya is doing her best to be better than that. Nagato approached her one day and offered her some protection and backup support to benefit her and her allies and also a chance for atonement; seeing as Nagato has finally turned good for real as well, Illya accepts his help and Berserker too after she told him to stand down a few times. By extension, she has also got into contact with Nagato's own allies, including but not limited to Darth Vader, Golbez, Vlad von Carstein, Captain Cold and Mr. Freeze though she is keeping watch on the latter four in case they get out of hand.
  • Along with her magical girl counterpart, Illya got in contact with the new Broly as like her, he stands out among his own race (Saiyans for him, homunculi for her) and they both share his disdain against the old Broly. Broly also becomes a berserker when he loses control, not unlike Hercules in Madness Enhancement which is a win in her book.
  • "Get them, Berserker!"

Lesser Gods

    Annie Hastur
Annie Hastur, Goddess of Girls With Stuffed Animals (The Dark Child)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/annie_originalloading19.jpg
  • Lesser Goddess
  • Symbol: Her teddy bear
  • Alignment: In between Chaotic Good and Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolios: Animal-Eared Headband, Badass Adorable, Black Magician Girl, Bad Powers, Good People, Bears Are Bad News, Child Mage, Creepy Child, Dark Is Not Evil, Fluffy Tamer, Jerk with a Heart of Gold, Killer Teddy Bear, Perky Goth, Playing with Fire, Squishy Wizard, Skip of Innocence, Token Mini-Moe
  • Domains: Magic, Fire, Fur, Chaos, Destruction
  • Allies: Samantha Maxis, Hasta, Pippi Longstocking, Steven Universe, Anise Tatlin, Wendy Marvell
  • Rivals: The Defender of the Arts, Katarina du Couteau, Darius, Draven
  • Enemies: Eric Cartman, Kael'thas Sunstrider, SCP-1048
  • Odd Friendship: Lina, Alphonse Elric, Asuna Yuuki, Setsuna Sakurazaki, Shana
  • Feared by: Winnie the Pooh
  • Pities: Madeline
  • Avoided by: Stephen Colbert
  • A panic overwhelmed Pantheon as a flaming bear attacked deities in the House of Family. Rexxar was assigned to tame the beast but his usual methods haven't been working. And yet all of a sudden it transformed... into a teddy bear. A girl with green eyes skipped to the Beastmaster's side to pick it up, thanking him for finding her bear Tibbers. The half-orc was left scratching his head, realising he had just met the newest addition in the House of Children.
  • Note that her stuffed bear Tibbers is actually a shadow bear transformed into a teddie bear for easy transport. One wonders how Annie treats Tibbers. There is a video depicting the relationship through her many skins.
  • In spite of her terrifying looks and pyromaniacal personality to match, she is far from evil herself. Annie grew up hating the rule of the evil Noxian High Command, because her parents were key leaders in the resistance movement known as the Grey Order. All of the Noxian deities were quick to denounce her as a result. The government hopes to put the rebel in her place.
  • There are many in the Pantheon who are interested in the girl's massive magical potential. Annie has been spotted with Samantha Maxis lately, offering her toys to play with. Many fear that Samantha will gain a powerful new ally.
    • The biggest reason that may not happen is because Mandy may beat her to it. Also in the House of Children, she hopes to coercive the Dark Child into her services. Many haven't been as successful though, as her methods come off as too blunt for Annie. Still, she enjoys the company of both. Whoever she chooses to stick around with, the Pantheon will surely suffer for it.
  • Rumors have persisted that Annie may actually be the long lost daughter of Lina, a theory Lina vehemently denies. Yet she can't help but give her a warm reception, despite their rivalry.
  • There has been a number of characters she feels comfortable with, especially Shana. She just can't figure out why.
    • Among those who shown an interest in Annie is Hasta, God of Young Homosexuals. She can't help but wonder if the two is related, given that her last name is Hastur.
  • Steven wasn't deterred with the girl's demeanor, quickly entering her temple for a visit. Annie took a liking to the boy, one of the few child gods that's actively hoping to make her a true friend. The other Crystal Gems keep an eye on her in case she hurts Steven.
  • Also trying to put her on the side of good is Wendy. Initial a rival since Annie was a candidate for her title, the Sky Mage now hopes to teach her how to control her abilities. She also brings in healing support when the two work together.
  • Anise Tatlin has been seen with Annie, propping her up as the next great mage. While many were moved with the act of kindness, a few detectives revealed her true intention; she hopes to use the publicity to gain sponsorship money. As her manager, Anise would get a loft sum of that money.
  • Pippi also made sure to greet her. She's handled far odder sites in her adventures. She's also one of the few gods that enjoys playing with Tibbers in his full size.
  • Pooh decided that it was best not to meet up with Annie or her stuffed animal, even though there has been speculation that he may be one herself. He just thinks Tibbers as too frightening for his liking.
    • To Pooh's surprise, Steven Colbert offered to fortify his temple. When asked why, Colbert revealed he has long since overcome his fear of bears. Still, any bear that can light itself on fire is bad news for anyone.
  • Oddly, the one person she doesn't actively try to scare is Madeline. It may be because of the hard life the child has endured, including losing her parents. Annie has ended up as a bit of a guardian for the girl.
  • Plutia has acknowledged Annie as another expy of hers that made it into the Pantheon.
  • When Cartman set his eyes on that innocent looking skipping girl, she looked like easy pickings for Cartman to embarrass. Known for his bitter hatred of redheads, he hoped to continue the streak. That plan ultimately failed when he found out the hard way that stuffed animal wasn't for show.
    • Annie's beatdown of Cartman gained the approval of Willow, a goddess who has seen too many of her followers get abused by Catman's. The witch has taken a special interest, seeing how she went mad over magic. She hopes that Annie doesn't make the same mistake.
  • Have you seen my bear Tibbers?

    Cassandra Cain-Wayne/Batgirl III/Orphan II and Damian Wayne/Robin V

Damian Wayne
  • Lesser Deities
  • Symbols: The Batgirl and Robin insignias. Alternatively, a photo of the Batfamily
  • Alignment: Neutral Good...most of the time.
  • Portfolio:
  • Domains: Heroes, Children of Bad Mothers, Gotham City
  • Additional Relationships:
  • Allies:
  • Conflicting Opinion: on Selina Kyle/Catwoman
  • Worthy Opponents: Cassie Cage (not because her and Cassandra share the same first name and nickname, mind you), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Elizabeth Braddock/Psylocke, Ryu Hayabusa Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat
  • Enemies:
  • In General:
    • Talia al Ghul and Lady Shiva were not surprised to hear that their respective child's ascension had just been cleared. They had suspected that it had been Talia's 'Beloved' that was responsible for their ascension. Surprisingly, Bruce was innocent, as the news shocked even him. Not even Ra's himself knew of the pair's ascension until Talia had told him. The culprits behind Damian and Cassandra's ascension were the other deified members of the Batfamily, with both Barbara Gordon and Dick Grayson leading the effort.
    • Ra's al Ghul was surprised to find out that his grandson has come to the Pantheon. He is also privy to David Cain's attempts to mold Cassandra into the perfect assassin/bodyguard. While Ra's knows that David did it for the League, even he found his methods to be extreme.
    • Both Liu Kang and Kitana have past dealings with Bruce Wayne and were not impressed with the Batfamily's newest additions to the Pantheon. Damian and Cassandra then challenged the older couple to kombat. In the ensuing two-on-two fight, the deified Emperor and Empress of the Netherrealm got their asses handed to them. Cassie Cage, her parents, Jacqui Briggs, her dad, and the rest of Team S-F watched the match in schadenfreud-tastic hilarity that Liu and Kitana lost to a pair of teenagers.
    • Aside from Liu and Kitana, Havik and Hotaru have both taken an interest in Damian and Cassandra, due to their dark pasts and their shared ties with the League of Assassins. Havik wants to bring the pair back into the ways of Chaos, while Hotaru believes that such talent is wasted under Bruce Wayne. The feuding representatives of Order and Chaos are actively trying to recruit both Damian and Cassandra to their ranks...and are still trying to kill each other.
    • S.H.I.E.L.D. has also shown interest in Cassandra and Damian. But seeing as how their loyalties are with Bruce Wayne, recruiting them to S.H.I.E.L.D. is considered to be a futile gesture.
    • When your dad/parental figure happens to be the goddamn Batman and your mothers are world-class assassins, you're earned those bragging rights...not counting the times Mommy has tried to kill you in the past. In Damian's case, Talia succeeded. Thankfully, he wasn't dead for very long.
    • They really, really hate those who use child soldiers, given their pasts. For Cassandra and Damian, the exception to the 'no kill' rule is any deity who profits from using child soldiers.
  • Exclusive to Cassandra:
    • You thought Lady Shiva being her mom is bad, her father was much, much worse. David Cain had groomed Cass from birth to become the ultimate assassin and bodyguard for Ra's al Ghul, which meant that Cass had underwent Training from Hell that would make even Leonidas ill. David Cain taught her to watch the other person's movements and body language in order to predict, with uncanny accuracy, their next move. If she disobeyed, then she would be shot in non-vital areas as punishment, with the threat of being shot again should she cry out from the pain.
    • The deified members of the Pantheon were horrified when Cass told her story about the training she had been forced to go under. A standing agreement was made by most of the deities, good and bad. Should David Cain ever ascend to the Pantheon, he's gonna pay.
    • Cassandra has made friends with Laura Kinney. Both girls connected over their shared pasts, learning how to become trained killers, but instead chose to use their skills for good.
    • The last time Cass had been in the same room with her mother, it had ended with Shiva KO'ed by her little girl. Barbara has told her that Sandra is in the Pantheon, but Cass is still apprehensive about having a meeting with her mother.
      • Fortunately for Cassandra, Sandra had sought her out, arriving at her and Damian's temple. It's unknown what was said between mother and daughter, but Sandra left the meeting with a (barely visible) smile on her face, while Cass herself had a grin on her face. Mother and daughter have a long way to go in regards to their reconciliation, but at least they're talking.
    • One past story arc had Cass finding religion after saving a priest. However, that angle did not stick, but Cass has shown an interest in religion, and was seen talking to Sophitia Alexandra. She does, however, keep her distance from the more religious nutbars in the Pantheon.
    • While Cassandra is often thought of as the second Batgirl, she’s actually the third. That’s because Barbara wasn’t the first Batgirl. In fact, Barbara is the second Batgirl. A very long time ago, there was a young woman who wore the cowl and fought crime before Barabara and Cass did. That woman’s name was Bette Kane and she was the Golden Age Batgirl. Bette isn’t in the pantheon and she and Cass haven’t met yet, but they do respect each other for their work. As the original Batgirl, Bette considers Barbara, Cassandra and Stephanie to be worthy successors to the Batgirl mantle...and even better Batgirls than she ever was. Still, the three successive Batgirls do gather from time to time to pay their respects to Bette for what she had started all those years ago as Batwoman’s sidekick.
  • Exclusive to Damian:
    • Like Cassandra, Damian is not on very good terms with his mother. Being killed by your very own clone designed by Mommy can put a serious dent in that relationship. However, Damian has a good relationship with Grandpa Ra's, despite that Damian decided to stick with Papa Wayne instead of leading the League when the time came.
      • Bruce and Ra's are putting pressure on Talia to go and make amends for her past crimes against Damian. While Talia longs to have a relationship with her son once again, she also knows that Damian can hold a grudge, like her.
    • In another timeline, Damian had joined forces with High Councillor Kal-El after accidentally killing Dick Grayson. Suffice to say, Damian does not like this future version of himself. Talia, on the other hand, approves, as Regime Superman managed to get her son over Batman's 'no-kill' policy. "Why couldn't my son be more like that?" Talia had lamented.
    • In another universe, Damian's mother is not Talia al Ghul, but rather Selina Kyle. At first, Damian refuses to follow his parents into the crimefighting business, but he becomes Robin when Joker Jr. causes the building his parents were in to collapse, killing them both. Speaking of Selina, he does have some form of respect for her.
    • Damian has a thing for blondes. And The Pantheon has plenty of blond deities. If said blonde has the blue eyes to match, then you got his interest. "May the Gods help us all once Master Damian reaches puberty, Master Wayne," Alfred once said to Bruce, who agreed with his butler's words. As it turns out, Supergirl, Cassie Cage, Emma Frost, and Cammy White top the list of blondes Damian has his eyes on.
    • While Damian has been growing out of his mindset as an assassin thanks to the Batfamily's influence (as well as some others that Bruce has looking out for him and Cass, such as Blade and Power Girl), there are some buttons you should not press. Harm innocent children? Be somewhere else. Threaten his family, especially his dad and Dick? Start praying.

  • Banned from: The House of Calmness
  • Li Li Stormstout is a young, adventurous Pandaren girl that LOVES exploring and as a result, is frequently seen travelling with her Uncle Chen. When she wasn't able to track her Uncle, she somehow managed to find the pantheon on her own, a surprising feat for such youngster. While Chen has for the most part, already settled down, Li Li on the other hand has that spirit of adventure that he used to have and as a result, she was given a position in the Pantheon for her love for Adventure
  • Li Li is rarely seen in her temple, instead spending her time exploring the vast amount of houses in the Pantheon, which has kept her entertained. Many are very worried on how her uncle lets her do this all on her own but Chen has told them that Li Li is capable enough of taking care of herself, to the point that she arrived to the Nexus even before Chen got there.
  • Met Po after following his uncle to one of his sparring matches, where Li Li confused him for a fellow Pandaren. Po consider the little girl as a Sister and as a such, has take it upon himself to train her in the ways of the Dragon. Though it has been pretty difficult so far, since Li Li isn't exactly the most easy person to deal with.
    • She was surprised to learn that there was another student of Po, which would be Lao Jiu, a Panda so tiny that he can be carried as a Hairpin.
  • Curious to know who was Lao Jiu owner, Li Li ended up meeting Litchi. They both became friends instantly, as Litchi was enamored with Li Li's overall cute demeanor and appearance. She also acts as an Cool Big Sis of some sort for Li Li, after hearing that her own mother passed away after an fishing accident.
  • She was surprised to find fellow monk Kharazim ascended as well. While having a rivalry with her uncle, Kharazim can't help but to warm up to Li Li. He also acts as her healing master when Chen is not around, which Li Li finds fascinating most of the time. Time will tell if Li Li will be able to learn the arts of Kicking and Punching.
  • She gets along with other Children who also happen to be Healers as well. She hit it off instantly with Steven Universe given their love for adventuring and also hangs around Rom, due to being a Combat Medic just like her.
  • Has a very close relationship with The Great A'Tuin, since it reminds her of Shen-zin Su, the island where she was born
  • She also likes to hang around Jade Chan, another adventurous girl who also deeply admires her uncle. Li Li is excited to take Jade on a journey throughout the world of Azeroth, but her uncle Jackie is not easy to convince about it.
  • Patience is not one of the Virtues of Li Li, and because how reckless she can be sometimes, she was banned from the house of Calmness, given that she makes too much noice.
  • Similar to her comrade Murky, Li Li is also usually wanted to be "Taken Home" by various deities especially Rena Ryuugu. Much to the dismay of them, Li Li is actually very hard to catch, given that she can run faster in case someone is chasing her. Of course, Li Li doesn't minds these and consider this a game.
  • She hates Bugs and insect, because she thinks they are disgusting. That why she avoids the House of Insects whenever she can
  • Became an honorary member of the Sector-V after helping them on a mission. She was also almost hugged to death by Numbuh 3, given how cute the Pandaren girl was to her. That, and because they sounds incredibly similar.
  • Likes to hang around the House of Health and Diseases, helping those who needs help with her Healing Brew. However, many of her "Patients" are actually very good friends of her uncle Chen, and she knows why the seek her out for.
  • "Ready for Adventure!"

    Mandy
Mandy, Goddess of Tiny Tyrannical Girls
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mandybillyandmandy_9481.png
  • Lesser Goddess
  • Symbol: The flower insignia on her dress
  • Alignment: True Neutral (Lawful Evil at her worst)
  • Portfolio: Expressive Hair, Enfantes Terribles, Manipulative Bastards, Perpetual Frowners, Heroic Comedic Sociopath.
  • Domain: Corruption, Death, Madness, Suffering.
  • Allies: Except for Billy and Grim, Mandy has no allies; only subordinates. She does seem to respect Jin Kazama, to some extent.
  • Enemies: Jack O'Lantern, Eric Cartman, Pinhead, Cthulhu
  • Fears: The Kankers
  • Interests: Nyarlathotep (Cthulhu Mythos)
  • The other gods make it a point to stay on Mandy's bad side as much as possible. Every time she smiles, an alternate universe is wiped out of existence.
    • When Voltaire arrived, he performed "Brains!" and "Land of the Dead" just for her. Sources say that while Mandy almost gave a smile, she did give him some applause and stated that he was exempted from her "People I shall kill" list.
  • Was once in a three way tie for this position against Stewie Griffin and to a lesser extent Eric Cartman. However, since Cartman was deemed not evil enough and Stewie became her High Priest before ascending into the House of Science, it all kind of settled over.
    • Eric Cartman still lords over his seat in the House of Vengeance though.
  • Formerly believed to be a manifestation of Azula in child form. However, since Azula's downfall (and subsequent release to the mortal realm), Mandy vehemently denies any connection between them: "I'm supposed to do something important. She didn't. She didn't at ALL."
    • And after the latter reascended they tend to avoid each other like the plague.
  • Mandy's success at dominating one incarnation of the Grim Reaper has earned her the enmity of Death of the Endless.
  • Even she doesn't get on Asura's bad side, on the other hand. She may be evil, but she isn't stupid. She's smart enough to know when she's outmatched.
  • Really hates evil vampires after the mess with her universe's Santa Claus, and has stated she would form a temporary alliance with hunters to wipe out Dracula and his allies. Friendly vampires get off a bit better, only earning the ire she has reserved for everything else.
    • Gangrel's case was a bit different. He was neither evil nor good, and while he allied with the good-aligned vampires, he wasn't really keen on their schemes, not to mention that he and Luna threatened to pour blood on her if she tried anything funny. Mandy, begrudgingly agreed, but is planning on bringing in some extra help just in case.
  • She holds onto one standard: she doesn't like cheating.
  • When she heard of how The Scooby Doo Gang defeated the Nibiru Entity—especially in the case of Daphne Blake due to having similar voices—she went up to them and (honestly) applauded. Yes, they defeated the entity with friendship but considering the fact that they still beat it let Mandy give them her utmost respect.
  • She would like to tell a certain artist named Bleedman to STOP making perverted artwork of her and state she not only married Grim (which actually disgusted her for obvious reasons not limited to age), but also caused 9/11. Many of the other good deities would agree.

    Thumbelina
Thumbelina, Goddess of Wonder Children (Tomme-Lise, Maya, Toots)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/don_bluths_thumbelina_2.png
  • Lesser Goddess (Originally Quasideity before marrying Cornelius)
  • Symbol: A blooming tulip with fairy wings behind it.
  • Theme: "Soon", alternatively "Let Me Be Your Wings" (with Cornelius).
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Born out of a blooming tulip, Innocent Blue Eyes, Damsel in Distress, possesses long hair, Kidnapped While Sleeping, constantly dragged from one situation to another, Catches the eyes of unwanted admirers, Fish out of Water, Incorruptible Pure Pureness, became princess of the fairies and was renamed Maya
  • Domains: Fairies, Children, Size, Innocence, Singing
  • Heralds: Prince Cornelius (her husband), and Jacquimo
  • Allies: Mrs. Brisby, Fievel Mousekewitz, Tiger, The Gang of Seven, Charlie Barkin, Anne-Marie, Chanticleer, Hubie and Rocko, Anastasia, Jiminy Cricket, Shinmyoumaru Sukuna, Tinker Bell, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, Basil and Dawson, Amaterasu
  • Enemies: Sharptooth, Grand Duke Of Owls, Rasputin, Maleficent, Ratigan, Captain Hook, The Scorpion and The Tarantula
  • Wary around: King Gator
  • Complicated Relationship: Don Bluth, Ariel
  • Once there was a woman who wished for a small, small child. She paid a visit to a good witch, who gave her a tiny barleycorn and instructed her to plant it in a flower pot. After following the witch's instructions, the woman's love and care yielded a beautiful tulip, and when she kissed the petals, she was greeted by a little surprise. A tiny girl, no bigger than a human thumb, emerged from the flower; perfectly formed and able to speak. The girl was then named Thumbelina, and was cared for by the kind woman... until a toad deemed her a suitable wife for her own son and proceeded to kidnap Thumbelina. Thus began a series of misadventures, with Thumbelina attracting the attention of many wannabe suitors. This includes the aforementioned toad, who abruptly left her on a lily pad, a scarab beetle, whose family found her to be ugly, and a field mouse who wanted to marry the poor girl off to her mole neighbour. Eventually, with the help of a kind swallow, Thumbelina travelled to a faraway kingdom of fairies, where she met their prince and became his princess. She was granted a pair of fairy wings and a new name: Maia. This would be, as one author once said, the whole story. But this "Happily Ever After" was only the beginning.
    • Not long after her marriage to the fairy prince, The Court of The Gods summoned Thumbelina to properly appoint her as a goddess, with her husband becoming a Herald. But when they entered the Pantheon, she quickly realized she had actually ventured there before, back when she was a normal girl. Following her encounter with the beetle, Thumbelina wandered into the House of Beast, still thinking she was in her homeworld. There she met the nefarious Professor Ratigan, who intended to marry her as part of his plans to take over the criminal underworld. Luckily, this plot was thwarted by Basil of Baker Street and his partner Dawson, who bested the vile rodent and safely returned Thumbelina to her world, wishing her all the best in finding her way home. That single act was remembered by the tiny girl, as she went to Basil and Dawson's temple upon ascending to properly thank them for helping her out.
  • It wasn't just Prince Cornelius who came up with Thumbelina. A few days after ascending, word spread of a flamboyant swallow flying around the House of Love, singing songs and talking about overcoming the impossible by following one's heart. Turns out the swallow, named Jacquimo, had flown into the Pantheon upon hearing Thumbelina's voice and was more than happy to reunite with the married couple. Some though have questioned why he didn't just fly his friend home when they first met, to which both admit with a shrug.
  • It's no secret Thumbelina has been compared to the Disney Princesses, who she technically is a part of now. Most of them treat her with courtesy and respect but her relationship with Ariel is perhaps the most complicated. The reason for it? Both Thumbelina and Ariel were from Hans Christian Anderson-based worlds with red hair, desiring to be something they're not, and possessing very similar singing voices. The pair have tried striking up conversations in the past but most have ended in awkward silence. Still, Ariel is open to her fellow princess, and is more than willing to give it another shot.
  • In regards to her relationship with the other Don Bluth deities, Thumbelina, well, is on good terms with the vast majority. She's found particular companionship with Mrs. Brisby, who she sees as the polar opposite to Mrs. Fieldmouse and was also the one to shelter Thumbelina while Basil and Dawson were busy with Ratigan. As well, she sympathizes with Fievel Mousekewitz, the Gang of Seven, Anne Marie, Hubie and Anastasia, all of whom have gone on dangerous journeys in order to reunite with their loved ones or find a place to belong, similar to how Thumbelina once did. She initially had trouble meeting Fievel's friend Tiger, but after learning he's a vegetarian, things became easier and she treats him as a feline version of her mother's dog, Hero.
    • That said, she wants nothing to do with The Sharptooth, The Grand Duke of Owls and Rasputin, due to all three being destructive, evil beings, not to mention the former two having tried to devour her. Luckily, she's got help from Littlefoot and Chanitcleer and wisely keeps her distance. She has been wary being around King Gator, even though Charlie Barkin and Anne-Marie have told her he's relatively harmless.
  • Her relationship with Bluth though is incredibly complicated. To Bluth, Thumbelina is a reminder of the dark period in his career, and his attempts to capitalize on Disney's success at the time, only to end in complete disaster. For her part, the tiny girl held no bad feelings towards her director, even thanking him for giving her the chance to explore new worlds and, in Jacquimo's words, do impossible things.
  • Because of her newfound wings, Thumbelina has been seen meeting and interacting with the Pantheon's local fairies. Cosmo and Wanda were quick to get themselves acquainted with her and Tinker Bell has helped Thumbelina with getting the hang of flying, even inviting her to Neverland to have adventures with the other fairies. It has put both in Captain Hook's bad books however, and have had to rely on Peter Pan to keep the inexperienced Thumbelina out of trouble while she practices flying. She was also disturbed to learn that Maleficent was a fairy as well, despite not sharing similar characteristics, and was quick to befriend Flora, Fauna and Merryweather for added protection.
  • Outside of the fairies, Thumbelina has also befriended several deities who are a little on the short side. Jiminy Cricket was kind enough to visit Thumbelina's homeworld to explore and learn more about it, even sitting down for tea with her and Cornelius, and has shared some of his own adventures with Sora. Another tiny traveller she befriended was a wandering artist named Issun, companion to the Japanese sun goddess Amaterasu. She was amazed by the tiny poncle and his skills with the Celestial Brush, less so with his... tastes with women. Especially the "tall" ones. That said, Issun introduced Thumbelina to his descendant, the Inchling princess Shinmyoumaru Sukuna, who quickly became close friends with her, and introduced the fairy princess to her fellow Inchlings, all of whom were in awe of her singing voice. They've all had to keep an eye out though, as there are creatures in the Pantheon want the fairy princess as a light snack. Among them are the Scorpion and the Tarantula, who for their part, have mistaken Thumbelina for a butterfly from time to time.
  • Speaking of her voice, Thumbelina occasionally makes appearances in the House of Theatre to perform musical numbers, though she's not up for getting into that ridiculous insect dress again and being humiliated in front of the audience. It's also because of the beetle that she also doesn't like being called Toots, and her friends were quick to pick up on it.
  • Some in the Pantheon have noted that Thumbelina was quick to give up when things seemed almost impossible to overcome, not to mention her submissiveness whenever people took advantage of her. While she's grown out of that stage, other deities have tried to give her crap over the past. After all, impossibility and mildly inconvenient are not the same thing.
  • And no, she did not, and will not, marry the mole. No matter how many times people ask her about it, Thumbelina will refuse to go into the details, even going so far as to blow a raspberry at repeat annoyers.

    Tiny Tina
Tiny Tina, Goddess of Kids Who Say the Darnedest Things (World's Deadliest 13 Year Old, Lady Tina of Blowupyourfaceheim, Bunker Master)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Tiny_Tina_DLC_Intro_8609.png
  • Lesser Goddess (When she is Bunker Master, she jumps to Greater status)
  • Symbol: A bundle of dynamite with a lit fuse strapped to a white plush bunny.
  • Theme Song: Her own rendition of Pop Goes the Weasel (Warning: Do not play near Curly Howard!)
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral with Good leanings at times.
  • Portfolio: 13 year old explosives expert who loves her craft too much, unbecoming speech for a minor alternating between African American and upper-class British mannerisms, Cloudcuckoolander, Cute and Psycho , massive trauma masked by her silly disposition
  • Domains: Explosives, Silliness, Speech, Trauma
  • Followers: Shin-Chan Nohara, Hit Girl, Huey & Riley Freeman, Cindy McPhearson, many South Park kids
  • Allies: Roland and the Crimson Raiders, Marcus Kincaid, the entire Council of Cloudcuckooland (especially Osaka & Radical Ed), Tavish DeGroot, The Heavy Weapons Guy, Gary Gygax & Dave Arneson, Alice Liddell, Peacock, Saxton Hale, Garfield, Frank West, Carl & Ada Clover,The Mane Six (minus Rarity), Aran Ryan, Cassie Cage, Mafalda, Ellie.
  • Frequent Customers: KND Sector V, The Boss of the 3rd Street Saints, The Capers, Tommy Vercetti, Huang Lee, Sly Cooper, Vito Corleone
  • Enemies: Handsome Jack, B.B. Hood, Jinx, the Rabbit of Caerbannog, all evil gods in the House of Family, Dr. Bumby
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Mad Moxxi, Claptrap, Bloody Marie
  • One day, Jack found at the foot of the doors to his Temple a small plush rabbit. Thinking it fun to toss the doll to the Gray Goo, he touched it. The second he did, a music box rendition of "Pop Goes The Weasel" began to play. When it reached the “pop”, a loud ring came from the rabbit as it began to vibrate. A loud explosion and rumble later, a smoking crater was all that was left of the front of Jack’s temple and the Hyperion exec was right in the center of it. Clothes tattered and singed and his mask slightly crooked from the explosion. From afar, a little girl’s voice sang the final line: "...goes the bandit!" Tiny Tina had arrived.
  • One of her personality quirks is the fact that she talks about things no ordinary child should say. As one deity put it, her manner of speech is “one half raving loony, one half psycho pimp and all bonkers in between”. She’s looking for whoever said that to invite them to a special tea party.
  • The Council of Cloudcuckooland is glad to have her aboard, as they desperately needed someone who was good at making things go BOOM. She accepted. You heard right. The Cloudcuckoolanders now have a Mad Bomber. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.
    • She gets along extremely well with Osaka and Radical Ed. Osaka being one of the few she could have “interesting conversations” with, and Ed, whom Tina has been referred to as a demolitions expert version of the hacker. She personally calls them her “main squeezes”.
  • The Demoman is happy to see someone so crazy and young taking up the demolitionist mantle. As he once put it, “Brings a tear ta me only eye seein’ a wee one like that lass send many a bandit ta Hell an’ beyond. Still, I ain’t givin ‘er me Scrumpy!”
    • She also likes to hang around the Heavy as she reminds him of Brick. The Heavy doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
  • To the surprise of many, she actually gets along with the Progenitors, of all people. Masters Gygax & Arneson claim they love her unpredictable role-play sessions and give her the chance of being Dungeon Master every time they all get together. Of course, Tina insists of calling the game Bunkers & Badasses and calling herself Bunker Master. This gives her the rare honor of being one of the few lesser deities to openly come and go to the Main House as much as she pleases. A friend with the Progenitors. The entire Council of Shadows is sweating heavily at this development.
  • As she is considered to be quite a good demolitionist (as long as you can put up with her quirky speech, innuendos and childish attitude), many of the pantheon’s groups have need of her services. These include the Kids Next Door(despite Numbuh Three’s pleading for her not to use stuffed bunnies as bombs), both groups of Capers, the 3rd Street Saints(since she has a crush on Johnny Gat), the Vercetti Gang, Hotel Moscow (even though Balalaika thinks the girl is far too crazy for her own tastes), the Liberty City Triads, the Cooper Gang (Murray has introduced her to the joys of chocolate-chip pizzas) and the Corleone Family(whom Michael always brings some cannoli to eat aside from crumpets even if she ends up throwing them away), whom are all frequent customers.
  • She is great friends with Saxton Hale, even though she refers to him often as “Mr. Torgue”. Saxton has heard of him and wishes to someday test his might against the former exec.
  • Another unique friend of hers is Garfield. Though the two are as different as can be, they both unite under one common foe: RAISIN COOKIES!! The fat cat is all too glad to push the plunger on any box, package, container, jar and vending machine that sells the hated oatmeal menace which Tina places explosives around.
  • It was at one meeting of the Council of Cloudcuckooland when she met Alice Liddell and really hit it off with her, even though Alice was scared of her references and innuendos. All that changed when she transformed into her dark warrior form and placed her hand on Tina’s shoulder, giving her access to Tina’s Otherland. When Alice opened her eyes, it was one of the only times the Council saw Alice shed tears while in her dark form. Taking her aside, Alice told Tina what she saw and that she feels for her since she too lost her family at a young age, was traumatized by the crime, and that it was caused by an evil man. Tina dropped her goofy act and spoke to her sternly that she doesn’t want anyone to ever learn what happened to her as she doesn’t want sympathy. Alice agreed as she reverted to her blonde form and Tina again returned to her crazy self. Still, when no one is looking, the two enjoy each other’s friendship.
  • Tina also has a great friend with Peacock, as they are both the same age, share violent cloudcuckoolander tendencies, have unbecoming youth speech, and have painful pasts. When they aren’t out causing havoc against their enemies, the two are often seen having wild tea parties alongside Alice Liddell in either one of the three’s temples. Tina loves being around Peacock’s assist gang, especially Lenny and George, even though the two only have eyes for Tina’s friend Princess Fluffybutt.
    • Peacock once introduced her to her friend, Marie. After Tina complimented her in her usual style, Marie merely looked at her with a cross expression and asked if she ever had dealings with any House of Crime deities, especially those from the mob. Before Tina could reply, Marie merely said that because Tina also has a horrible painful past which Marie also shares mutually with both her and Patricia, she’d let her live despite her business dealings with her hated enemies. Tina sobered up but stopped short of cursing her less she offends Peacock. Still, she tries to stay as far away from Marie as she can.
  • Once had Carl and Ada visit her temple, as he was curious about her reputation. Tina saluted him in her usual style and Carl was immediately shocked with what to reply back and thought he made a mistake visiting her. That doubt quickly vanished as she complimented Ada on being a “fine-ass damsel” and Carl was glad to have someone call her something other than Nirvana or not human. Tina, however, did not know Ada was indeed human, but played along for Carl’s sake. After later learning of his own past, Tina secretly made a resolution to help him when she could (in her own way of course).
  • She was shocked when she first met Rarity alongside the rest of the Mane Six, calling her “Butt Stallion”. Again, Rarity got very offended and was prepared to gore her with her horn, only for Twilight Sparkle to hold her down with her magic. Tina immediately hugged each of the ponies and they were surprised by her sudden change of attitude. Even though Rarity was still upset by her insult, the Mane Six agreed to be friends with her. Even more so after Twilight eventually found out Tina’s past.
  • Of all the people she's met, she places Roland as her #1. Naturally, she was crushed when he was killed by Jack. She soon formulated a plan that involved calling in favors from the Progenitors, the Rat Talisman and Roland's statue to get him back and allow the Raiders to join the Pantheon. It worked.
  • Apparently, Tina found company in Cassie Cage. It's her idea or Cassie sounds exactly like her in an "adult tone". Neverthless enough, both will fight against the other alliances and send them the message that "they got Caged!".

Demigods

    Butters Stotch
Leopold Stotch, God of Kiddie Kids (Butters, Professor Chaos, Butters the Merciful, Marjorine, Mantequilla, Boy With Balls on His Chin)

    Dennis the Menace
Dennis Mitchell, God of Precocious Troublemakers (Dennis the Menace)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dennis_mitchell.png
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: A slingshot superimposed over a broken window
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Bratty Half-Pint With Slingshots, Boys Made in America, Having Sense of Curiousity, Hating Baths, Those Who Drop Into Others' Homes at Random
  • Domains: Mischief, Curiosity, Troublemaking, Children
  • Followers: Shin Nohara, Junior Healy and Trixie Young
  • Allies: Ned Bigby, Phineas Flynn, Jar Jar Binks, Kevin McCallister, Stitch, Jimmy Hopkins, Usopp, T.J. Detweiler, Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Kenny McCormick, Gumball Watterson, Calvin and Hobbes
  • Rivals: Principal Seymour
  • Enemies: Princess Morbucks, Father (KND), Eric Cartman, Stewie Griffin, Agatha Trunchbull
  • At first, Dennis and Usopp in his Sogeking persona shared a position as Co-Gods of Slingshots, until a secret plot by the Council of Shadows to prevent all the Straw Hats together ejected Usopp from the Pantheon. The pirate returned with an increased level of ability without needing to rely on his alternate self, and both of them had a contest over the better slingshot user. Usopp won with a spectacular trick shot with hitting a jewel atop a faraway spire with high wind resistance. Dennis realized he was outclassed and gave up the position to move here instead. Mostly though he was bored of hanging around stuffy adults and preferred the company of kids.
    • After a relatively symbiotic relationship, Bart decided it was time to strike it out on his own. He voluntarily handed the title to Bennis to focus on his lifetime skill of Prank Calls. Breakup aside, the two still work in tangent when a prank is bigger than any single boy.
  • A typical day in the life of Dennis is pranking the hell out of any older deity he meets. He has various ways of doing so, from banging pots to making awful music. But his favorite pastime is using his trusty slingshot to hit anything any anyone with all sorts of nasty objects. He has only become more dangerous with additional resources provided to him in the Pantheon.
    • All the houses and vehicles have switched to reinforced windows since the sudden spike in "mysterious and coincidental" breakages that happened when Dennis arrived, now they're reinforced even more so with Bart's ascension.
  • He's glad that one of their followers, a certain Kevin McCallister, joined the Pantheon. The two make a particularly dangerous duo, as both are masters of agitating their foes into making mistakes.
  • Is always down for joining Phineas and his many inventions. He is also rather skilled in helping the boy in covering them up before Candace could bust them.
  • Of all the snot-nosed brats in the Pantheon, Dennis is the type of child Father hates with the fury of a thousand sons. That hatred only encourages Dennis to amp up his prank game against the fire user. Still, it's a risky game that could very well get him killed. Luckily, his antics made him an easy recruit into the Kids Next Door.
  • With Bart leaving his temple, Cartman and Stewie tried to make acquaintance with Dennis, who was the more mischievous of the two. Their efforts failed, as Dennis reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Bart. Besides, he finds the two kids malicious even for his tastes. Otherwise, he gets along well with the other South Park boys well enough.
  • It was a shock to him when upon entering Gumball's world, Dennis retained his original design. Gumball and Darwin also proved to be loads of fun.
  • Once challenged Calvin to a game of Calvinball. To his surprise, Dennis proved to be an apt practitioner of the sport. Of course no one else in the Pantheon knew how that worked. Nowadays, Calvin and Hobbes invites the kid for more adventures.
  • Just because he is no longer associated with Bart, doesn't mean that Seymour is any less committed to giving Dennis a proper education. And while he and Bart developed a respect for each other over the years, he has no such connection with the Menace.
  • To Agatha, Dennis remains as one of her main targets for her sadistic punishments. Unlike Seymour, she doesn't have the interest of making him learn: only to see him suffer. Dennis has always retaliated against her in the form of pranks, but he isn't going to take her on in a suicidal direct assault.
  • Princess Morbucks saw the potential for an alliance with Dennis, as the two followers often overlap. Dennis was willing to play along at first, especially since she had a wide assortment of toys. Morbucks even gave him some new slingshots to use, pointing at a particular target in the sky. Dennis shot it down with ease, only to gasp in horror as it happened to be Bubbles of the Powerpuff Girls. Dennis took the fall and was put in timeout. Dennis has since made clear distinctions between the two groups and has closed off any chance of cooperation with Morbucks.
  • There is a bit of discrepency regarding his origins. This version of the character is the American version, but there is also a black-haired kid from the UK with the same exact name. No one can figure out which one came first as both made their debut within the same day. In this case, the American version became the official spokesman for the temple, with the British version popping up every once in a while.

    Eloise
Eloise, Goddess of Hotel Hellions
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tmp_25139_eloise_poster_artwork1999150438.jpg
  • Demigoddess
  • Symbol: Her name written in lipstick on the wall.
  • Theme Song: Eloise
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Cheerful Child, Hotel Hellion, Jerk with a Heart of Gold, Only Known As “Eloise”, Parental Abandonment, The Prankster
  • Domains: Children, Hotels, Mischief
  • Heralds: Skipperdee the turtle and Weenie the dog
  • High Priests: Zack and Cody Martin
  • Allies: Madeline, Pippi Longstocking, Kevin McAllister, Dennis the Menace, Mary Poppins, Yukiko Amagi, Nicholas St. North
  • Enemies: YHVH, Agatha Trunchbull, Eliza and Neil Reagan, The Koopalings, Robot Santa Claus
  • Odd Friendship: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Her arrival was first noted when she was first seen in the Pantheon introducing herself with those words:
Eloise: I am Eloise. I am six. I am a city child. I live at The Plaza.
    • She then proceed to tell several stories about her misadventures in the Plaza hotel. Such stories have brought the attention to the Court of the Gods, who had examined her records, It was then decided that she is granted the title as the Goddess of Hotel Hellions.
  • Outright loves loves loves the Plaza hotel and frequently promotes it every now and then, even petitioning it to be one of the Pantheon’s Dominions.
  • Fellow children’s book character Madeline greeted her with a bonjour. Eloise sees the schoolgirl as a “rawther mahvelous companion”, given her similar mischievous nature. She also likes to hang out with Pippi Longstocking as well due to both of them appearing to share the same rebellious and playful personality.
  • She also gets along well with Kevin McAllister as he also had experiences with staying at the Plaza hotel once.
  • Dennis Mitchell was impressed by Eloise’s antics that he gave her one of his slingshots as a gift.
  • Was surprised to see Mary Poppins in the Pantheon as she reminds her of Nanny for a particular reason. Mary herself agreed to look over the girl though she is wary of her chaotic antics.
  • One time, Agatha Trunchbull was brought in as Eloise’s tutor. The girl doesn’t at all like her, finding her to be “rude, rude, rude”. Eloise hopes that she can have revenge on the Trunchbull by pulling several pranks on her.
  • YHVH wasn’t pleased by her antics at the slightest as he sees her as an embodiment of chaos.
  • As a manager and a protector of the Amagi Inn, Yukiko Amagi is on good terms with Eloise so long as she doesn’t cause any mess.
  • Having a turtle named Skipperdee allowed her to forge friendships with the Ninja Turtles, who also happened to hail from New York City.
  • Since she absolutely loves Christmas, she is glad to see that Santa Claus exists in the Pantheon. Though he looks somewhat different from what she would imagine, she helps him spread holiday cheer every Christmastime.
    • Robot Santa Claus, on the other hand, views her as a very demonic girl and swears to shoot her whenever he has the chance.
  • Despite being a rascally little girl, Eloise doesn’t at all have a liking for the Koopalings. After hearing that each of them once owned a hotel, she wonders if any of them have a mail chute so that she can pour a pitcher of water down it.

Harriet as depicted in the movie (top) and the book (bottom)
  • Demigoddess

  • Theme Song: “The Secretive Life”
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Portfolio: Break the Haughty, Brutal Honesty (which is her Fatal Flaw), Deadpan Snarker, Free-Range Children, Humiliation Conga, It's Personal, Enacting Revenge on the meaner classmates bullying her, No Sympathy (after her notebook is read), Purely Aesthetic Glasses (though not in the movie adaptation), Writes down everything on her Secret Diary, Loves tomato-and-mayonnaise sandwiches and egg creams, Eventually getting her friends, her notebook, and her privacy back at the end
  • Domains: Children, Spying, Writing, Notebooks
  • High Priestess: Penny Gadget
  • Heralds: Janie Gibbs, Simon “Sport” Rocque, Beth Ellen Hansen
  • Allies: The Mystery Gang, Maxwell, The Cutie Mark Crusaders, Inspector Gadget, Mary Poppins, Buffy Summers, Jo March, Clark Kent/Superman, Richard Castle, Lois Lane, L.B. Jefferies, Nancy Drew
  • Enemies: Light Yagami, Libby Chessler
  • Opposed by: Dr. Eggman
  • Harriet M. Welsch is a precocious eleven-year-old who wanted to be a writer when she grows up. As encouraged by her nanny Ole Golly, she follows a “spy route” every day after school where she slinks around people’s homes and workplaces and takes detailed notes in her composition book. One thing about her, though, is that she’s extremely secretive about the contents of her notebook. However, when her nanny leaves and her notebook is discovered, Harriet is forced to deal with major challenges to her formerly organized life.
  • She ended up encountering other people who also possess a notebook. She is good friends with Maxwell. She finds it amusing that Maxwell’s notebook can summon almost anything by writing into it, something that she isn’t used to in her world.
    • On the other hand, she was horrified with Light Yagami and his very dangerous notebook.
  • Libby Chessler is interested in Harriet’s notebook and wanted to use it against her. Harriet, knowing what happened the last time someone else read her notebook, didn’t take it well and she finds her to be a lot worse than Marion Hawthorne. She also doesn’t get why Dr. Eggman would accuse her for “snooping as usual, I see.”
  • Loves tomato-and-mayonnaise sandwiches, which she eats every day. Sometimes during her spy routes, she would also stop by the House of Food for a chocolate egg cream.
  • The Cutie Mark Crusaders can relate to Harriet’s situation as it reminded them of the time that they once told secrets in Ponyville, which resulted in them being shunned by their peers.
  • She was once visited by Inspector Gadget, who was grateful to see his niece Penny serving as her high priestess. The two are on good terms, although Harriet finds Gadget to be a little clumsy at times.
  • Sometimes hangs out with L.B. Jefferies due to their knack for spying on their neighbors. Occasionally helps out the Mystery Gang and Nancy Drew on their cases as well.
  • Seen in the company of Clark Kent and his wife Lois Lane as they respect the girl for her writing ambitions, as do Jo March and Richard Castle.
  • Harriet has also taken a liking for Mary Poppins due to her being an eccentric, whimsical nanny like her nanny Ole Golly.
  • One time, she was encountered by Buffy Summers because the latter thought she was her sister Dawn. After the confusion between the two was cleared, the two appear to get along well, though she’s concerned that Harriet gets attacked a lot like Dawn was.

    Rhoda Penmark
Rhoda Penmark, Goddess of Evil Children
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image22.jpeg
  • Demigoddess
  • Symbol: The penmanship medal that she covets. Alternatively, a pair of blood-stained tap shoes.
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Antagonistic Offspring, Bitch in Sheep's Clothing, Creepy Child, a sweet-looking eight year old girl with the dangerous mind of a psychopathic killer, Her Fatal Flaw being her obsession with the penmanship medal, Serial Killer, usually gets away with her crimes (except in the film where she gets struck by lightning)
  • Domains: Children, Evil, Murder
  • High Priestess: Cozy Glow
  • Allies: Hansel and Gretel (Black Lagoon), Johan Liebert, Junko Enoshima
  • Rivals: Mandy, Eric Cartman
  • Enemies: Most children in the Pantheon, particularly Matilda Wormwood and the Kids Next Door, Groundskeeper Willie, Miss Bianca and Bernard, Kyoko Kirigiri, The Bat Family, Anyone who can Detect Evil
  • Opposed by: Vicky, Monaca Towa, Father, The Delightful Children from Down the Lane, The Heroic Protectors of Family and the Child Abuse Supporters
  • Source of concern for: Rosemary Woodhouse
  • Eight-year old Rhoda Penmark may look like any other little girl. On the surface, she seems to be charming, polite and intelligent beyond her years. Beneath her lovable facade, however, she is a serial killer and a psychopath who is willing to harm and even kill anyone to get whatever she wants, whenever she wants it. One notable instance of this is when she murdered a classmate named Claude Daigle during a school picnic just because he won a penmanship medal that she had long coveted. She is also adept at manipulating those who are around her, including her mother, who was shocked at the revelation that her daughter is a murderer.
  • As expected, most children in the Pantheon would rather stay far away from Rhoda after hearing how evil she is. That’s not to say that there aren’t any that she ended up interacting with. Originally, Mandy was the original holder of Rhoda’s trope, and while Rhoda does appreciate how similar they are, she believed that the title is hers when she snatched it from her. Mandy apparently did not take it well and is plotting to get back at her. She seems to get along better with Hansel and Gretel, though even she can get totally freaked out by their homicidal behaviour at times.
    • She’s also compared to Eric Cartman as they are both sociopathic kids who pretend to be sweet and innocent around their respective parents. Neither of them like such a comparison, and their relationship seems to be a Slobs vs. Snobs kind of deal (with Cartman being the slob and Rhoda being the snob).
    • Some children are willing to stand up against her. Matilda Wormwood sees Rhoda as an intellectual enemy as the former’s telekinetic abilities would make her run circles around her. The Kids Next Door also don’t like Rhoda as they find her pretty similar to the Delightful Children from Down the Lane, but far worse. Yet even the Delightful Children themselves (and Father, for that matter) don’t like her as they felt that for an evil girl like her, she wouldn’t care for their plans.
  • While many adults in the Pantheon end up being charmed and misled by Rhoda, several others can see through her sweet and angelic facade, with Batman and his allies being the most notable example. Kyoko Kirigi is another person can EASILY see Rhoda’s true nature given her experience with psychopaths as well as her specialty in detective work is homicide cases. Rosemary Woodhouse is also particularly concerned with the girl as she reminds her of what her child could possibly become. Even Vicky, despite her reputation for bullying children that she was supposed to look after, doesn’t want to babysit Rhoda as much as other evil kids.
  • In general, she is opposed by both the Heroic Protectors of Family and the Child Abuse Supporters; the former due to her evil nature and the latter…because they have standards.
  • Like with Hansel and Gretel, Rhoda looks up to Johan Liebert as a “big brother” of sorts. Johan, upon learning this, politely reciprocates his feelings towards the girl. Junko Enoshima also allied with Rhoda because she appreciates her sweetness facade, not to mention her being another enemy of Kyoko.
  • Monaca Towa could have been someone who would ally with Rhoda. After all, she’s also a cruel, manipulative little girl who showed no remorse for her mass-murder of adults throughout a city while she and her allies hunted the survivors for sport, manipulating her own comrades, and attempted mass-murder of her brainwashed followers. However, she quickly gave up on that and opted to become a NEET instead because she got bored of the conflict altogether and didn't want to become crazy like how some people are about it.
  • There has been some debate on whether or not Rhoda’s evil is determined by the environment she lived in or by genetic disposition. Those who believed the latter have pointed out to her maternal grandmother, Bessie Denker, who also began killing at Rhoda’s age. With that said, the debate hasn’t reached a clear answer.
  • At times, Rhoda would find herself getting annoyed by Groundskeeper Willie’s insults. She finds him to be pretty similar to Leroy, another Crusty Caretaker who can see through Rhoda's perfect child act, and enjoys teasing her. She has been considering murdering Willie the same way she did to Leroy - locking him inside the incinerator and burning him.
  • Miss Bianca and Bernard once spotted Rhoda, who at that moment was pleading for help (she was actually faking the situation). Given the mice’s dedication to help rescue children, they agreed to aid her, not knowing about her malicious nature until it’s too late. The mice were able to get out of trouble but were repulsed by her actions.

  • Portfolio: Revenge For the Sake of Revenge, Glass Cannon, You Gotta Have Blue Hair, Creepy Good Child, Troubling Unchildlike Behavior, Scaring Animals, Dark and Troubled Past
  • Domains: Revenge, Swords, Children
  • High Priest: Onion
  • Allies: Marona, his fellow Sword Warriors (Kashuu Kiyomitsu, Kasen Kanesada), Roberta, Hinako, pretty much anyone who desires revenge (who still aren't quite evil), Tokiya Mikagami, The Fleet Girls
  • Enemies: Anyone who would try to change the history for the worse, Ren Hakuryuu
  • Conflicted Opinions on: Raiden
  • A tantou sword which spirit was given physical form by "Saniwa" to fight. Like other tantous, he manifested as a young child. However, unlike the other tantous, he is...different. Due of the sword being used by by a bandit for killing and then bring revenge by the child who's mother was killed by the said bandit, it left the spirit of the sword corrupted, making it desire to get nothing but revenge as well. Not his own revenge, though. He will carry out anyone's revenge to satisfy his own desire.
  • Due of the intense hatred coming from him, this makes animals fear him, getting scared when he as much gets near them. He cannot blame them, though. They know what's up. Because of this, most lower-tiered gods in House of Beast tend to run away when he gets near them or at least get shocked with fear. Especially horses. He has hard time dealing with horses.
    • Because of this, he has an interesting relation with the Equestrian deities. Where his presence do scare them off, Fluttershy would want to be friends with him to teach animals that he isn't as bad as he seems like and Pinkie Pie wants to throw a party to him, just that she has hard time thinking how to pull it off. He doesn't really care or mind whatever the case is.
  • Wanted to ascend as the God of Obsession with Revenge, but quickly found out that it was held by Hakuryuu. Sayu, for the most part, dislikes Hakuryuu, saying that he is taking his idea for revenge way too dar.
  • While he understands many gods who want revenge, there is one God who he is bit iffy on; Raiden, God of Revengeance. While Raiden is "the tool of justice", Sayo himself calls himself "the tool of revenge". And where Raiden is a bit irritated for the idea of someone who looks like Sayo going into war, Sayo says to him that he isn't really a child, if you really think about it.
  • He seems to get along with the Fleet Girls due of both of them sharing the same creator. Though he might sympathize with the Abyssal Fleet, feeling like they are driven by revenge as well.
  • While he might behave rather darkly, it is because he thinks that only way to bring happiness to others is to fulfil their desire for revenge. In reality, it was never his wish to hate anyone, as tantous were never meant to draw needless blood, and only became this way due of whom used him. That is why he ultimately looks up to Tokiya as he wishes that one day he gets bored with revenge and his mind gets cleaned of that desire.
  • He's not really conformable going shopping with other people, as he fears that they might want to sell him off to someone else.
  • In an attempt to hopefully turn him into more optimistic youth, he was send to the past to visits his old master to maybe break him from his mindset. It backfired. His old master instead was so interested in his revenge story that Sayo determined that his existence is fuelled by revenge and use it as his strength. Even if he knows that the path he travels is only going to make him worse, as he only wishes to be used by his Saniwa.
  • Like the blind sea turtle who seeks for his floating log in the vast ocean, I have waited so long for this opportunity of a lifetime where the flowers of Udonge would bloom…

    Shin-chan
Shinnosuke Nohara, God of Perverted Children (Shin-chan)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shin_noharatvtp.png
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: His face
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Really interested in women, especially if they're older than him, a huge troublemaker, has participated in oddly epic adventures, Gasshole, Mooning, Jerk with a Heart of Gold, Calling Parents by Their Name
  • Domains: Children, Perversion, Crassness
  • Heralds: His parents Misae and Hiroshi, his little sister Himawari, his dog Shiro, his friends Toru, Nene, Masao and Bo (sometimes known as the Kasukabe Defense Force)
  • Allies: Bart Simpson, Dennis the Menace, Kenny McCormick, Issei Hyodo, Ed, Edd and Eddy
  • Enemies: Eric Cartman, Rhoda Penmark, The Kankers
  • Admires: Kamen Rider, Super Sentai and Ultraman heroes
  • On bad terms with: Linus Van Pelt, Godzilla
  • Shinnosuke Nohara is a five-year-old boy who lives with his family in Kasukabe, in the Saitama prefecture in Japan. Shin-chan, as he's usually called, is very mischievous and perverted. His greatest joys in life are farting, ogling and attempting to hit on women, mooning people, and pretending his wiener is an elephant. His parents have his hands full with him, as you may imagine. His baby sister has more common sense than him. He also has a dog named Shiro who's usually neglected by him. Despite his obnoxious personality, he has quite a few friends in the kindergarten he goes to, and they all proclaim themselves to be the defense force of their city. It's only occasionally that this means anything; the rest of the time it's five-year-olds being five-year-olds. Generally, Shin-chan just lives his day-to-day life embarrassing, befuddling and annoying the hell out of the people around him.
  • Shin-chan's ascensions ended up being one of those epic events by the standards of his usual life, with some monsters having made their way to Kasukabe from the Pantheon. Several Toku heroes made their way there to put a stop to the invasion, and they ended up fighting alongside (more like protect, really) Shin-chan and his friends (who were acting in their "capacity" as the Kasukabe Defense Force). All things considered, Shin-chan did prove to be of some use, as the stench of his farts actually sent the monsters reeling, and some other antics by him and his friends that threw the monsters off their game.
    • When it was all over, the Toku heroes complimented the children's bravery and took their leave. However Shin-chan managed to clandestinely come along and enter the Pantheon, believing he might meet his favorite hero, Action Kamen. This didn't turn out to be the case after searching high and low, often stopping to ogle whenever he saw a particularly sexy goddess and attempt to ask her out in his trademark manner. The Main House took notice of him and his antics, and considering his iconic status in many lands, gave him godhood over Dirty Kid. Shin-chan just grinned as he realized he could use that to score chicks.
  • Shin-chan is a pretty big fan of Tokusatsu, and of Action Kamen in particular. Many times he was moved to do something harduous due to the promise of getting even a handshake with Action Kamen. He likes the Toku heroes in the Pantheon as well, though not as much as Action Kamen, who's just tops for him. Although he loves visiting the Toku Base, the members are not very enthusiastic when he does so, considering he can and often will get up to all sorts of annoying and potentially dangerous antics while there. There's also the fact that he keeps pestering them for autographs and handshakes and to add Action Kamen to their ranks.
    • Ryotaro Nogami seems to have greater tolerance for Shin-chan than most of his teammates, probably because there was a time when they fought together, with Shin-chan becoming Kamen Rider Shin-O by "sharing" in Ryotaro's belt in order to protect his mother from an Imagin. He even got complimented for protecting the flow of time. Granted, Ryotaro also probably prefers not to have to team up again if it means having to deal with more butt-themed monsters...
  • He can often be found at the House of Love trying to get a peek at the many sexy goddesses. There have been many attempts to ban him from that House using his young age as justification, but they are pretty much futile as he always finds his way in there somehow. Of course, most of the goddesses deal with his inappropriate questions and poor attempts at flirting by laughing him off, while some are just confused. Shin-chan has made a somewhat unlikely comrade in his lustful pursuits, that comrade being Issei Hyodo, who shares a lot of the same inclinations as the younger boy. The two often team up and exchange opinions on which women they find most attractive. Normally, people would worry about Issei being a terrible influence on Shin-chan, except that's pointless because Shin-chan was already a lost cause long before meeting him.
  • If there are deities from the House of Love he truly cannot get along with, it's the Kanker sisters, because every time Shin-chan runs into them in his excursions it generally ends with them viciously chastising him or bullying him for his peeping (or so they claim he does, but Shin-chan found them unattractive from the start and never paid attention to them). Shin-chan has taken to respond to this by doing his "buri buri" routine (that is, mooning them), making the Kankers even more furious.
    • There was one time when Shin-chan dared to infiltrate the Kankers' temple and he made the grave mistake of taking their ship-in-a-bottle (he thought it looked cool). While Shin-chan made a good job of defending himself with his usual tactics at first, he ultimately needed help from the Eds in getting the Kankers to lay off him. Shin-chan was warned by the Eds that the Kankers' ship-in-a-bottle was absolutely never to be touched, which he took to heart given how serious it all sounded. After that, Shin-chan has come to admire the three older boys and sometimes tries to get in on their schemes, despite him usually not understanding what they're about. Ed appears to like him best, while Edd seems fine with him hanging around, but Eddy thinks of him as more of a nuisance (except when Shin-chan helps them run the Kankers off).
  • Shin-chan has an imaginary friend, Buriburizaemon, an anthropomorphic pig who styles himself a samurai and a brave hero of justice, though he's actually a coward. The magic of the Pantheon permits him to exist on his own, to many samurai's dismay as he gives them a bad name with his antics.
  • A lot of Shin-chan's peers in the House of Children tend to consider him to be kind of a weirdo. He definitely hasn't endeared himself after that time he used Linus' blanket to wipe between his legs. The girls in particular tend to stay away from him, or sass and berate him for his behavior, though any criticism always seems to bounce off Shin-chan. Kids who are more welcoming of Shin-chan's quirks include Bart Simpson and Dennis the Menace, likely because they are pretty infamous troublemakers themselves. Bart in particular actively seeks out Shin-chan's companionship in pulling pranks, and he thinks Shin-chan's butt dance is hilarious and has attempted to imitate it. Dennis is more innocent than both of them, but his tendency to help others which generally results in disaster is something that Shin-chan is also prone to, so there's a certain kinship between the two of them.
  • Though mainly known to be a pervy and filthy Bratty Half-Pint, Shin-chan has been shown to have moments of kindness and compassion on occasion, especially if his family or friends are distressed somehow. It's not something that comes out frequently given his usually mundane and peaceful life, but it's there. This might be why, even though he already keeps some questionable company, he draws the line at downright evil children such as Cartman or Rhoda Penmark, what with how murderous they can be. Shin-chan will face up against them whenever they do something that's too monstrous and far-reaching, even summoning his friends in the Kasukabe Defense Force to help if needed. With that said, he's on good terms with the other South Park kids, if not necessarily friends since Stan and Kyle think it's too embarrassing to be around him. He gets along well with Kenny though, since parka boy has a thing for women as well.
  • Turns out Shin-chan has also run into Godzilla, of all things. Godzilla had tried to invade Kasukabe, which would spell doom for the inhabitants, who apparently all have 30-year mortgages on their homes (that's a constant source of grief for Shin-chan's parents, incidentally). So, Shin-chan got a dose of Applied Phlebotinum (involving farts, naturally), which somehow made him the size of Godzilla and he was sent off to fight him. It ended with Shin-chan sitting on Godzilla and the kaiju reduced to the size of a little lizard. It was a highly humiliating experience for the King of Monsters to be defeated by a kid like Shin-chan, though Godzilla seems content to ignore Shin-chan and pretend nothing happened rather than seek out revenge.

Quasideities

    Aya Drevis
Aya Drevis, Goddess of Children who Act like Adults
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aya_drevis_9.png
Grown up Aya
  • Quasideity (Demigoddess with the Mini Chainsaw, Lesser Goddess with the Magic Water)
  • Symbol: A mini chainsaw and a blue bottle of perfume/white bottle of Magic Water in front of a pink bow.
  • Theme Song: Memories
  • Alignment: Neutral Good. Implied to be Neutral Evil or a darker shade of True Neutral when she grows up
  • Portfolio: Wielding a mini chainsaw with some unnerving nostalgia, able to stay relatively calm in situations that would make most adults panic, willing to save her family no matter what, Creepy Child
  • Domains: Adorableness, Calmness in Terrifying Situations, Family, Determination.
  • Heralds: Maria (Housemaid), Snowball (Pet rabbit)
  • Special Relationships: Alfred Drevis (Her Father), Monika Drevis (Her Mother)
  • Allies The Ghostbusters, Luigi, Ash, The Human Child, Samantha Maxis, The Monsters of the Underground
  • Enemies: Evil undead deities, Leatherface, Piggsy, Medicine Melancholy, Banette, Suigintou, Edward Richtofen
  • Opposed by: Every ghostly member of the pantheon, due to the Magic Water's ability to seal them away, possibly forever.
  • Distrusted by: Rabbit deities
  • Comflicting Opinion: The Batter, The Medic
  • Aya Drevis is a young girl from Germany who all her life has been living secluded with her family. Her father, a Mad Scientist who likes to "experiment" on people is someone she always looked up and admired, until one day after the 1 year anniversary of her Mother's death all the past victims of her father came back from the dead and attacked everyone in the mansion. Aya later found out it was her Mother who wanted revenge against her Father, in attemps from saving her daughter from being turned into a doll. In the end Aya managed to survive the curse that her mother inflicted upon Dr. Drevis and started a new life somewhere else.
  • The Aya that ascended was taken from the time that she escaped her old home but before she grew up, so she is still a girl and seemingly good-hearted. The reason for this is unknown, probably because her grown up version is a little hard to pin point morality wise and some people believe that she turned out like her father.
  • Aya has a fondness of a Mini Chainsaw that she used to play with when she was younger, but her father forbid her of using it, for obvious reasons. She also refuses to attack anyone (not even The Undead!) with it, as she doesn't like seeing people suffer, except objects (Even then, she tries to avoid the sentient ones).
    • That said, it doesn't mean she is a fan of actual chainsaw wielders, as she was almost killed by her father with one after all. She fears Leatherface and Piggsy the most, since those two wouldn't be out of place amongst her father's creations.
    • Although she found Ash Chainsaw-arm really cool and she has asked him about his adventures against the undead.
  • The Magic Water that the strange salesman gave her can actually seal ghost forever, which she used on her mother to vanish her while trying to save her dad. Needless to say, Ghosts avoid her like a plague given that it could possibly vanish them from existance with a single drop. This also made her allies with those that have dealt with ghosts in the past, like the Ghostbusters and Luigi.
  • Is easily bewildered by the wonders of the modern world, due to being secluded in her house all of her life. As a result, she has a hard time talking to others.
  • She has a pet rabbit named Snow Ball that she cares a lot for. She also likes to hang around rabbit deities, but they don't seem to reciprocate the feeling because Aya may have hurt wild animals and even Snow Ball in the past, either willingly or accidentally. It doesn't help that her father has cloned Snow Ball numerous times to cover Snow Ball's "accidents"
  • Seems to get along with the Human Child given their shared Determination and love for their close ones. The Child has tried to keep Aya on track and save her from turning out like her father and so has introduced her to their friends who all have welcomed her with open arms. (The only exception would be Sans, who suspects Aya may be a lost cause)
  • She doesn't like dolls, mostly because many of the dolls she had in her house came to life and tried to kill her, not to mention that they were made by Aya's father and he intended for Aya to become one so she would remain pure forever. It was no surprise that she made enemies out of many living dolls, she doesn't even trust The Plain Doll.
  • Coming from similar games, the Batter took interest in the gift that she was given by the strange salesman, an artifact that could help the batter in his mission to purify the world. Aya doesn't think highly of him, considering how he murdered his own family, his son (actually creator) Hugo being one of them, much like how Aya's father tried to do the same to her. In turn, the Batter is not interested in Aya...yet. She is still pure, but if she indeed is like her father, she will have to face The Batter's judgement eventually.
  • Meeting Samantha Maxis was a godsend for Aya, since she is also the daughter of a german doctor (albeit not one in the same caliber as Dr. Drevis) and since Sam is also a rather Creepy Child herself, the two hit it off right away. Aya was hesitant at first given Samantha's zombie army but since the undead were commanded to avoid harming her, she eventually grew accustomed to them.
  • Doesn't trust the Medic, not only given his unethical methods when it comes to healing, but because he reminds her a lot of her father. The same could be said about Dr. Edward Richtofen, who actually did similar experiments like Dr. Drevis, arguably worse in some cases, and since Aya is in friendly terms with Samantha Maxis, Richtofen has tried to hurt her just to spite Samantha. Thankfully Aya was smart enough to avoid the mad doctor.
  • While people are aware of her father and how he is, many wondered about how he ended up with a sweet woman like Aya's mom. Turns out all the "sweetness" that Aya's claims about her mother might be her being an Unreliable Narrator. She married Dr. Drevis because she enjoyed his work and how he once almost killed her, she even wanted her daughter to grow up to be just like her father, something Dr. Drevis was opposed to. Makes you question who was the bigger evil of the two.
  • Eventually, Dr. Drevis became ascended to the pantheon and Aya found out not long after about his arrival. Many feared that the doctor would try to harm her again, but surprisingly, he visited and warmly embraced his daughter with no intention of harming her. Since the pantheon has managed to keep Aya young and innocent without the need of turning her into a doll, the doctor has no intention on going through with his old plan. Although he fears that one day his precious Aya may already cease to be the innocent girl he wants her to be.

  • One would think that babies are completely defenceless and need to be checked closely to ensure their safety. In the case of Baby Bink, it's a different, wacky story. Coming from a rich Chicago family, he was kidnapped by a trio of burglars who wanted Bink's fortune, but the baby proved to be a much bigger and annoying challenge than the thieves were ever prepared for. Whenever the crooks tried to keep Baby Bink ahold, he would end up strolling off to one of Chicago and then the other, prompting a series of comical and failed attempts of the thieves to recapture him. Eventually, the thieves were caught and Baby Bink was reunited with his parents.
  • Baby Bink's last known action was laughing to himself while looking at a book called Baby's Trip to China. Whether he made a trip there with his parents has never been confirmed, though some believe that this may be the reason Baby Bink entered the Pantheon. That said, the first reported signs of him were of the baby simply crawling around the streets of the House of Commerce. He was reunited with his parents again, though, for the baby, he's going to be having... a very long day out, several times.
  • Baby Bink's full name is Bennington Austin Cotwell IV. Most Pantheonic residents find the name to be too long, fancy and tacky and admitted that he's probably better off with his nickname. All that elicits is a giggle from Baby Bink himself, knowing that he's probably right, but it doesn't make it any less funny on his part.
  • Has a rather notorious reputation, which is surprising for an infant. He's usually seen without his parents and wandering off elsewhere. Sitting in the middle of the jungles of the House of Beast, crawling in the rich-laden metropolis of the House of Commerce, diligently looking at statues in the House of Heroes and trying to play with children in the Children Sub-House, Baby Bink became famous for being at different places most of the time. Despite his parents being worried, they're given some sort of relief in that there's always good company surrounding him.
    • That said, he's never been reported to have been wandering off close to areas such as the Houses of Villains, Undead, Hatred and Betrayal. Given the very numerous evil deities there, many have tried to make sure Baby Bink never ever enters those places. Whether they were successful or Baby Bink is simply too wise to know of the dangers of those places is up for anyone's guess.
  • He's rarely, if, ever seen crying and he's always smiling and optimistic about his routine. Additionally, he never shows any sort of fear or concern regard situations that would make toughened men remotely cautious. Remarkably enough, he's listed as among being the Pantheon's bravest deities, which leaves a lot baffled at how such an ordinary baby gets that sort of reputation. Alas, there are some who aren't happy about it, given the situations Baby Bink goes through.
  • Several deities have taken up to babysitting Baby Bink at some point when his parents often have to take business meetings, though they do take him with them on holiday vacations. Each babysitter has had its own fair share of experiences.
    • The Three Stooges tried to prepare themselves in managing a baby. Instead, they never expected the sort of chaos they were getting into by simply babysitting Baby Bink. Initially, the Stooges would be doing a good job, and then suddenly, Baby Bink is at the streets. In an instant panic, the Stooges rush outside, only to see the baby be in ridiculously bizarre situations like hanging in the edge of a construction tower or being inside of a factory. Still, even if they keep messing up on trying to secure Baby Bink, they have done their damn best to ensure he isn't harmed.
    • Tom and Jerry also took to babysitting Baby Bink, given that they've done a similar job beforehand. Like the Three Stooges beforehand, they were caught by surprise on how quickly Baby Bink suddenly vanishes and ends up in perilous locations. Cue Tom and Jerry getting themselves into brutal Slapstick just to keep Baby Bink out of harm. At least Tom and Jerry are better babysitters than Jeannie if that's one compensation and that Baby Bink doesn't suddenly defy the laws of gravity, unlike the other baby.
    • Yoshi, however, actually managed to keep Baby Bink safe and secure when he decided to take a try in looking after him. It helped that he kept the baby perched onto his saddle. But even then, Yoshi had a lot of difficulty trying to look after Baby Bink, especially after he suddenly wandered off to the House of Beast and ended up wanting to play with some of the primates. All that said, Yoshi did manage to return Baby Bink back to his residents before his parents could. One problem though; Yoshi made a promise he'll come back to visit him. Hopefully, the shenanigans wouldn't be bigger...
  • His parents have made good relations with Kazuma Kiryu, and Kiryu himself has taken to taking care of Baby Bink at times. Even for someone as stern and headstrong as he is, even Kiryu gets into Baby Bink's troubles. Then again, crazy things are something that's a common occurrence for Kiryu. There were a few instances of criminals who tried to kidnap Baby Bink, followed by Kiryu giving them a beatdown. Baby Bink found the whole commotion hilarious.
  • At some point, Goro Majima kidnapped Baby Bink in an attempt to force Kiryu into a fight. Even after kidnapping him, Majima treated him well and even took babysitting lessons to keep check of him. And no, Baby Bink wasn't fazed when Kiryu came in, angry and starting a tough fight against Majima. All that said, nothing malicious occurred between the two and Kiryu expressed some surprise when Majima revealed that he was also trying to take care of the baby. From there, Majima is allowed to officially babysit... if he simply asks permission from Kiryu and Baby Bink's parents.
    • While he finds looking after him very difficult, similar to almost everyone else, at least Majima can entertain Baby Bink in numerous ways. It helps with Majima being Crazy Awesome after all, he admits to enjoying the time he has with Baby Bink. He also brings along his right-hand man, Nishima, only to force him to babysit alongside him. All of this makes the situation funnier to Baby Bink, but even more embarrassing to Nishima.
      • All this considered, Majima does not want to recall the time Baby Bink suddenly appeared at a ''Majima Construction'' site. Either there was a lot of fun or a lot of mayhem that occurred there. Baby Bink couldn't talk either, so there's really no one else out there who could really describe the incident.
  • Will often be taken to the Gaming Genres Sub-House to play with a selection of dogs. Many deities suggested the parents to take Baby Bink there as they said he would love dogs, but also because they want to assure he's given some sort of active occupation. That still doesn't stop Baby Bink from crawling out and having fun elsewhere.
  • Is pretty well known for having fun with a gorilla in a zoo. As a result, he quickly became friends with Doney Kong when they first met, with DK even allowing Baby Bink to eat from his own banana hoard. Additionally, DK has also made it clear that whoever threatens Baby Bink is an enemy to him. Due to being an infant, DK is understandably nervous about Baby Bink being in jungles, though he'll have him in his clutches whenever he goes vine swinging.
  • There's apparently a book in the works known as Baby's Pantheonic Carnival. While it'll take some time before it's published, Baby Bink is rather eager to get his hands on the book. According to word of mouth, the only beings who are aware of said book's progress and date of publication in the future are the upper-ups of the House of Knowledge.

    Mafalda
Mafalda, Goddess of Youthful Sarcasm
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Mafalda_2.gif
  • Quasideity
  • Symbol: Her World Globe. Alternatively, her face.
  • Alignment: A really passive flavour of Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Sassy Politically Opiniated Young Girl, Wiser Than Her Age, Absurdly Worldly Child, Innocent Prodigy, "Soupphobia", Shorttank, Tsundere, Little Professor Dialog
  • Domains: Sarcasm, Humour, Children, Opinions, Politics
  • Allies: Daria Morgendorffer, Marzipan, Misty, Garfield, Dennis Mitchell, Eloise, The Powerpuff Girls, Pippi Longstocking, The Kids Next Door, Sector V, Statler and Waldorf
  • Odd Friendship: Charlotte LaBouff
  • Admires: The Beatles
  • Opposed by: Calvin
  • Opposes: Princess Morbucks, Any evil authority figure, YHVH (To her dismay)
  • Enemies: Just about everyone that antagonizes the well-being of the Pantheon (at least, going by what she says)
  • Mafalda's constant ranting about how bad the world is should have tired everyone by now, but this never happens since she always peppers with her rants with some good sarcasm and as such it never gets boring. Did we mention Mafalda is in elementary school? This is the reason why she ascended.
  • Gets along with Marzipan as she also has really subjects to talk about.
    • Also with Lisa Simpson, though they can't speak much due to her being in the Fallen (However, that doesn't stop Mafalda from sneaking there from time to time). Mafalda actually pities her because she reminds her a little of Libertad.
  • Some believe that Mafalda and Daria are the same person. But those who do those comparisons say that Daria is a grown-up Mafalda, for obvious reasons. They aren't (the most logical reason is that Mafalda would have 30 years of difference to Daria) but both of them seem to get along with each other, possibly because of their similarities.
  • Has an Intergenerational Friendship going on with Statler and Waldorf, mostly because they can appreciate each other's sarcasm and their sense of humour complement each other well. Possibly helped by the fact that Mafalda has her moments of grumpiness herself.
  • Despite being One of the Boys back in her home series, she seems to be getting along with several of the goddesses in the Pantheon. Most prominently, she likes hanging around with Pippi Longstocking and Eloise.
  • She has managed to get along with fellow Comic Strips child god Dennis Mitchell. They really enjoy playing together. However, Calvin still doesn't like her since he finds all girls to be gross.
    • She also seems to like Garfield, though she does find him a little bit too lazy.
  • Really dislikes Princess Morbucks because she reminds her of a villainous Susanita. Though she seems to not mind Charlotte LaBouff even if she also reminds her of her, maybe because she is more nicer and really innocent in her desire to be a princess.
  • Was amused to find out that the tranquilizer Nervocalm from her verse, became a real product. She has been considering to export some and place it into the Treasures since it's very effective.
  • A statue of Mafalda was unveiled in Buenos Aires in honor of her. She was pretty flustered when she heard the news.
  • She's a big fan of The Beatles and because of that, she really loved to find them on the Pantheon. Though she was left cathatonic the first time she saw them.
  • Is against soup in all of its forms. Yes, that includes the SOPA law.
  • Due to her (relatively passive agressive) opposition of adults, the Kids Next Door tried to recruit her. She declined for the moment but she likes to hang out with them and the Powerpuff Girls for being around her age.
  • Was outraged that Woody Woodpecker was not ascended, since it's the best show ever (according to her and and many Latin Americans). She is trying to get him to ascend.
  • Has spent time with the Lone Ranger, as he is the idol of her friend Felipe.
  • Since Mafalda is from Latin America, it goes without question that she was Raised Catholic. As such, the young girl was not happy to learn that in Pantheon, the equivalent of the one figure of authority that she never complained about (and even pitied) was evil. Many have tried to convince her that he is not the same god she believes in.
    • However, when she heard that this deity wasn't the true god after all and the actual true god was actually good, she was very relieved

    Momo Isshiki

  • Domains: Children, Maturity, Age
  • Allies: The Vivid Team (Especially Akane), Alisa Bosconovitch, Yutaka Kobayakawa, Miku Kohinata, Nepgear, Nazuna Inuwaka, Negi Springfield, Katara
  • Enemies: The Crow
  • Opposes: Momo Karuizawa
  • If you knew that Momo was related to Akane, you'd probably think Momo was the older sister, WELL YOU'D BE WRONG! Momo's actually the younger sister, but you probably wouldn't believe that, not only due to Akane's usual demeanour but also because Momo's been handling all of her family's finances and cooking all of their meals ever since her's and Akane's mother was hospitalised 7 years ago.
  • When Momo ascended she requested to the court of the gods that she wanted to live in the same temple as The Vivid Team because she worried that they would miss Momo's cooking and also because Momo didn't want to be away from her sister any longer.
  • Momo is good friends with Yutaka Kobayakawa and Alisa Bosconovitch as they share Momo's kindness combined with pink hair.
  • Whenever Akane or any of the Vivids needs to fight some impending threat, Momo will do one of two things, if Momo's in the vicinity of the fight Momo will watch the fight because she wants to know her friends will be all right or she will be back at the Vivid Team's temple preparing food for them as she has faith in them and expects them to be tired when the fight's over.
    • These worries about her friends safety led Momo to becoming friends with Miku Kohinata as she also worries about Hibiki's safety when she needs to fight something.
  • Momo sympathises with Nazuna and Nepgear because she understands how tiring it can be to be more responsible than their older sister.
  • Many deities such as Negi Springfield are impressed by the fact Momo was able to take care of a family of 3 despite only being a 5th grader.
    • When asked asked why she decided to take role of the family with the most responsibility, Momo replied with:
Somebody had to provide for big sis and grandpa and since big sis had a part-time job and grandpa was busy with his research, I ended up providing meals for them.
  • Momo has become good friends with Katara as she too had to look after her family was murdered.
  • Momo would appreciate it if others would stop associating her with Momo Karuizawa as Momo doesn't like how she uses her cuteness to her advantage.

    Satsuki and Mei Kusakabe

  • Opposes: Hansel and Gretel
  • Opposed by: Calvin
  • Odd Friendship with: Satsuki Kiryuin, Noriko Takaya (Satsuki)
  • Not to be confused with: Mei-Ling Zhou (Mei)
  • Satsuki and Mei are two young girls who move into a house in the country with their father to be closer to their hospitalized mother. There, the two discovered that the nearby forest is inhabited by magical creatures called Totoros, befriending them and having several magical adventures with them.
  • When the two found out that Totoro is now a god in the Pantheon, they rushed into his temple that’s deep in the giant tree to pay him a visit. Totoro smiled upon seeing the two girls once more.
    • From there, they met and befriended other Studio Ghibli deities. They like hanging out in Kiki’s bakery and enjoy her delivery service. They are also good friends with Chihiro Ogino, as they can be seen talking about their respective adventures.
  • From Chihiro, they were introduced to her friend Coraline Jones, whom they befriended due to her also being a girl who have moved to a new house as well as her love for exploring. Satsuki finds it funny with how she sounds like her whenever she speaks English. For a similar reason, they get along well with Lilo and Stitch.
  • Satsuki is also on good terms with Noriko Takaya, although she also finds it weird with how she at times sound like her.
  • Karouko Hanasaki sometimes pays a visit to Satsuki and Mei’s temple and acts as a sort-of grandmother figure to them, probably because she and Mei happen to have a similar voice. Omnimon is also proctective of the two girls for that same reason.
  • Sometimes, they would have play-dates with Mary Lennox and help her tend her garden by growing more plants, to which Mary gladly appreciated. They also felt sorry with how Mary’s mother neglected her and how she has to deal with her ill cousin like the Kusakabe sisters did with their mother.
  • They also get along well with Ben and Saoirse due to them being siblings who also had encounters with magical beings. The Kusakabe sisters enjoy hearing about the selkies and fairies that they met in their world while Ben and Saoirse were intrigued with the soot sprites and Totoros of Satsuki and Mei’s world.
  • Satsuki is rather confused when she learned about her namesake in the Pantheon though she was also surprised with how Totoro is friendly towards her. Even funnier is how she dresses up like her at one point.
    • Likewise, Mei was surprised with how she sometimes gets confused with Mei-Ling Zhou. That said, the two are well-acquainted with her.
  • Mei enjoys playing with Yotsuba Kowai as they enjoy discovering the world and life together. Mei also appreciates her for her cheerfulness.
  • Although they don’t have much enemies in the Pantheon, Calvin doesn’t like the two girls as he finds all girls to be gross. Also freaked out upon seeing Hansel and Gretel and their creepy antics as they’re pretty much the extreme opposite of what they represent.
  • Upon encountering Clark Kent, Satsuki and Mei were given odd looks as they thought they heard their father’s voice. Clark clarified the mistake but took this in good spirit and the two girls eventually took a liking for him.

    Seita and Setsuko
Seita and Setsuko Yokokawa, Guardians of Dead Children
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/seitasetsuko.jpg
Setsuko (left) and Seita (right)
  • Quasideities
  • Symbol: Fireflies; Setsuko's candy tin
  • Theme Song: "Home Sweet Home"
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Tragic child death, the horrors of war, Foregone Conclusion, downer stories, The Woobie
  • Domains: Children, Siblings, Death, War, Tragedy, Empathy, the Afterlife
  • High Priestess: Little Maria
  • Allies: The other Studio Ghibli deities, particularly Satsuki and Mei Kusakabe and Totoro, Toriel, Charles Dickens, Charlie Barkin, Mako Shiraishi/Shinken Pink, Hansel and Gretel
  • Oppose: The House of War, Cole Phelps, America
  • Seita and Setsuko are two siblings who lost their parents in World War II. Being far too young to live by themselves, they moved in with their aunt. Since they didn't earn their keep and times were trying, she eventually drove them away. Seita and Setsuko were forced to fend for themselves in the streets, living in a cave and stealing food. This being wartime Japan, food was scarce and there was no compassion to spare for the orphans. In the end, Seita's efforts were in vain and he had to bury his little sister Setsuko after she starved to death, while he lost his will to live and followed her shortly.
  • Few things evoke a sense of tragedy quite like the sight of a child dying. Accordingly, Grave of the Fireflies is one of the most notorious Tear Jerkers of all time. In the midst of the Pantheon bawling their eyes out at a screening of the film, someone drew attention to the Death of a Child trope and how Seita and Setsuko were just the perfect representatives for it, as unlike the vast majority of examples, they aren't just disposable side characters that only exist to motivate the hero, but protagonists themselves. Besides the fact that their tale is really important and considered a classic. Thus the Main House unanimously decided that they should be ascended from their status in limbo and well cared for after their trials in the mortal realm.
  • It is said that every time a child dies, these two will be there to guide them to the afterlife, with fireflies floating around them to light the path.
  • It may seem contradictory, but Seita and Setsuko's story is not, in fact, a dissertation on how war is terrible and must be stopped. It's also not a guilt trip to get rebellious teens to obey their parents. The real aesop of the children's tale is about the need for empathy among people even at the worst of times.
    • The anti-war advocates of the Pantheon will still invoke Seita and Setsuko's story as an argument even so. The siblings don't necessarily mind; after all, war did take their parents from them and put them in that horrible situation. They know all too well now that in any war, people will suffer through things no one, including children like them, should have to.
    • Seita was very patriotic in life, but considering that didn't help him or Setsuko even a bit, and how he learned about the Axis and their atrocities at the Elysium Academy, he has more conflicted feelings now. He still can't forgive the Allies for causing his parents' deaths though. He's not interested in revenge though, he just wants to live in peace with Setsuko.
      • Seita can't bring himself to have a high opinion of deities who fought on the Allies side. He's profoundly annoyed by America's boisterousness and casting himself as "the hero"; Seita feels that America is just a bully. He was also disturbed at Cole Phelps' history of ordering the flamethrower on his squad to attack a Japanese makeshift hospital (considering his mother died in one of these), even if it was by accident (Phelps thought the cave wasn't a hospital and was full of Japanese soldiers) and Cole feels terrible about it.
  • They don't have all that much in common with their fellow Ghibli deities, considering how unfantastical and brutally realistic their home universe is. Still, they managed to make good friends with Satsuki and Mei Kusakabe who lived around the same time period, so they have an understanding, if vague on account of their age, of the harshness Seita and Setsuko had to go through. Seita thinks the sisters make better playmates for Setsuko than him. The Kusakabe sisters have tried introducing them to Totoro, however while Setsuko can see him fine (and often takes naps on top of him), Seita's innocence is so broken down from his experiences that he can barely perceive the spirit (though even without that he might be too old to see Totoro in the first place).
  • Being two of the biggest woobies in history leads to a number of deities wanting to look after them. Toriel is an obvious one, as she tends to mother all "lost" child deities. Mako of the Shinkenger is also always checking on them and wanting to comfort them. Setsuko definitely enjoys their attentions and Seita is happy for her, though Seita at fourteen is growing a bit too proud to allow himself to indulge in this, even if he dearly misses their mother. He's more drawn to Charlie Barkin for his tough, street-smart style, which Seita wishes he had when he was living alone with Setsuko (also it probably helps that like the siblings, Charlie knows what it's like to be dead).
  • As an author who's always sympathetic to the plights of children, Charles Dickens finds their tale very interesting and is seriously considering writing a tract against war in his next book. In the meantime, Seita has expressed interest in reading Oliver Twist.
  • Anyone who gets the bright idea of harming these two is sure to become a target of the wrath of the entire Pantheon (well, the good deities, anyway). But considering the two siblings don't have anything of value to offer, they don't have any real enemies in the first place.
  • The House of Food reports that they are fairly big eaters, which is understandable considering how the war forced them to ration food and they both starved to death. In their frequent excursions to the House, the siblings have become friends with residents Hansel and Gretel, themselves a brother-sister duo where the brother takes good care of the sister.
    • Incidentally, the House decided to stock on Setsuko's favorite candy tins since the siblings' ascension; Setsuko's own candy tin automatically refills through Pantheon magic.

    Yotsuba Koiwai
Yotsuba Koiwai, Goddess of Cheerful Children (Four-Leaf, 404 Girl)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yotsuba1wre_8667.jpg

  • Domains: Family, Summer, Everyday Life
  • Herald: Mr. Yousuke Koiwai (her dad)
  • Allies: Satsuki and Mei Kusakabe, Cream the Rabbit, Amy Rose, Totoro, Pollyanna Whittier, Most of the House of Happiness, Excel, Sakaki, Ayumu "Osaka" Kasuga, Hello Kitty, Jurai Andou, Enju Aihara, Peppa Pig, Barney the Dinosaur, Teletubbies, SCP-191, Fresh Pretty Cures, Sig, Curious George, Eru Chitanda, Sojiro Sakura, Solid Snake
  • Protected by: The Heroic Protectors of Family, Good Parents of the Pantheon
  • Fears: Nerose Satanael, the Scarecrow, Fiddlesticks, Aya Shameimaru, Nyotengu no Miyama, Scott Shelby, Pennywise, Gilles de Rais & Ryuunosuke Uryuu
  • Yotsuba Koiwai is a 5-year old girl living with her adoptive father in Japan. She's an energetic child with a curious, optimistic outlook on life, and always puts in her all in her everyday life. One day, she and her father moved to a new neighbourhood. There, she has lots of silly, heartwarming adventures with her daddy and the neighbours, the Ayase family.
  • When Yotsuba ascended, Mr. Koiwai was very worried about Yotsuba being without a guardian in the Pantheon, but the Court of the Gods assured him that he could reside in her temple and that they could visit eachother in the Pantheon or the mortal realm anytime they want. While not ascended to godhood, Mr. Koiwai does reside in her temple, looking after and taking care of her.
  • Being the curious child she is, Yotsuba often wanders around the Pantheon searching for something new and exciting to discover. Her father and other good hearted deities like the Heroic Protectors of Family try to protect her from discovering less than savory aspects of the Pantheon and its inhabitants, and prevent her from entering the more dangerous areas. Anyone who tries to harm her will receive a swift comeuppance from them, preferably out of her sight.
  • Danbo is a cardboard box costume made by Miura Hayasaka for a school project. Yotsuba saw Miura wearing the costume and assumed that Danbo was a robot. When Yotsuba ascended, she brought Danbo with her. In the Pantheon, Danbo has been given special magic modifications, so now it can move and behave like a real robot. Yotsuba's often seen traveling and playing with Danbo. Solid Snake sometimes gives her spare cardboard boxes whenever Danbo needs to be repaired.
  • Within the House of Happiness, Yotsuba became friends with Pollyanna, who then introduced her to the rest of the house. She then befriended the rest of the house except for Nerose Satanael, who she finds to be scary.
  • In the House of Children, she befriended the Kusakabe siblings for being energetic, curious, and carefree children just like her. They introduced her to Totoro, who immediately took a shine to eachother. Yotsuba now often hangs out with the sisters and the forest spirit, but she's disappointed that her father cannot see Totoro. She also became friends with Cream the Rabbit, and thought her her Chao companion, Cheese, was really cute. They often like to eat ice cream together. Cream also introduced her to Amy Rose, who also struck a bond with her.
  • Yotsuba and Mr. Koiwai became regulars at Sojiro Sakura's cafe as they like to eat curry. Sojiro and Mr. Koiwai bonded over being single fathers to adoptive daughters, and Mr. Koiwai expressed sympathy towards Sojiro for the difficulties he faced in raising Futaba.
  • It was no surprise that Yotsuba would be friends with Chiyo, Sakaki, and Osaka. She gets along with Chiyo the best, with their innocent, youthful nature, and it isn't uncommon to see both of them hanging out. Yotsuba is amazed that Chiyo managed to enter highschool straight after elementary, and hopes to become as smart as her. Yotsuba initially though Sakaki was scary because of her height, but warmed up to her after seeing her kind, cat-loving self, and she finds Osaka really fun to hang around with her wild imagination.
  • Sometimes, Yotsuba enters the Subhouse of Insects to catch some cicadas. Sig often accompanies her and they compete so see who can catch the most bugs, but sometimes their fun stops short when they face a Zetsuborg or a Guitardo.
  • One of Yotsuba's first friends in the Pantheon were Excel and Enju Aihara, who ended up as her playmates. Mr. Koiwai does has his reservations with them, as Excel works for an evil organization and Enju is infected with a disease that turns people into monsters, so he keeps a close eye on them just in case.
  • Yotsuba gets along with Jurai Andou as he's good with kids, and they use their wild imagination to play pretend with each other. He often serves as her babysitter when Mr. Koiwai's away. Yotsuba was amazed when Jurai displayed his Dark And Dark powers, but Jurai has to assure Mr. Koiwai that his power is mostly harmless after expressing some initial worries.
  • Yotsuba is often associated with four-leaf clover; her hair is even colored and styled like one and her name means "clover"! Yotsuba got excited when she heard of the Goddesses of Clover Symbolism, and wanted to meet them. She then met the Fresh Pretty Cures, and was amazed at their Pretty Cure forms. They became friends, and they sometimes act as babysitters for her.
  • Yotsuba is determined to cheer SCP-191 up and help her open up to other kids. While it's unlikely SCP-191 will be fully rehabilitated and call herself human soon, she does appreciate her presence and considers her a good friend.
  • Yotsuba managed to become close friends with Peppa Pig, Hello Kitty, Barney the Dinosaur, and the Teletubbies. She likes to hop in mud puddles with Peppa, engage in arts-and-crafts projects with Kitty, sing with Barney, watch videos on the Teletubbies tummy televisions, and generally have fun. Mr. Koiwai can't help but think Barney and the Teletubbies look a bit off-putting.
  • One day, Yotsuba and Mr. Koiwai encountered a small,cat-eared creature named Jigglypuff. Surprised by this new audience, Jigglypuff began to sing. Unsurprisingly, both of them fell asleep. When they woke up,they noticed that their faces were covered in marker doodles. Mr. Koiwai could only sigh, as Yotsuba previously doodled a mustache on his face while he was sleeping.
  • Being a curious spirit, it didn't take long for her to become friends other curious gods like Eru Chitanda and Curious George. It's not an uncommon sight to see the three wander around to discover anything strange and interesting in the Pantheon.
  • Yotsuba is frightened by scarecrows and tengu, so she had a nasty shock when she heard that those creatures were alive and living in the Pantheon. As such, she avoids the Scarecrow, Fiddlesticks, Aya Shameimaru, and Nyotengu no Miyama whenever she can, and tries to scare them off if they get too close. The Scarecrow and Aya are confused by her behavior, while Fiddlesticks and Nyotengu find her amusing.
  • There is no one else that scares Yotsuba and her father more than Scott Shelby, Gilles de Rais, Ryuunosuke Uryuu, and Pennywise.
