- The Spectacular Spider-Man - Two full seasons, but one of the few cases where it wasn't cancelled because of low ratings or executive decision (heck, if anything fans loved the show and it was critically acclaimed to boot), but rather rights issues. At the time, Disney had bought up Marvel and began the Marvel Cinematic Universe, taking up the copyrights of superheroes. Spider-Man was still in Sony's hands, however, and they refused to give up the film rights, but agreed to give away the TV rights instead. This unfortunately meant Spectacular Spider-Man had to be cancelled since, if Disney wanted to continue it, they would have to pay Sony to keep doing so since the cartoon was made in-house at Sony and technically their property. Naturally, Disney refused on that front much to the dismay of fans. If that wasn't bad enough, the series ended on a major Downer Ending which was meant to lead into the third season.
