Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@Berrenta: Blooper's profile can be cut altogether. It's poor quality, and it's just a generic video game enemy, so it's not as if we're losing something precious.

Ciggma Khint, God of Spell Blades (The Spell Fencer, Ikuma Naerik)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bdpb_spell_fencer.jpg
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His sword
  • Theme Song:
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Spell Blade, Magic Knight, Nothing Personal, Perpetual Frowner, Professional Killer, Significant Anagram, Badass Baritone, Can Imbue His Blade With Silence As Well As Poison And Death, Only in It for the Money, Leaving When Things Go Sour For His Client Unless The Payment Is Exorbitant Enough, Technically Fulfilled His Goals: Paying For His Ill Daughter's Treatments, In Hiding In The Sequel
  • Domain(s): Spell Blade, Mercenary, Money
  • High Priest: Fayt
  • Rivals: Other Bounty Hunters such as Boba Fett and Agent 47
  • Enemies: Airy, Ouroboros
  • Additional Relationships: The Heroes of Luxendarc (sans Yew and Magnolia)
  • Dislikes: Talkative types
  • The Heroes of Luxendarc first encountered Ciggma Khint while he was under the employ of the K&P Merchantry in Ancheim. Twice he fought them alongside the Jackal and Erutus Profiteur separately before eventually ditching them when they started losing. His final bout with them in the first loop was alongside Eloch Quentis Khamer VIII, the then-ruler of Ancheim. Having been paid the entire treasury for his contract, Khint fought Tiz and company to the bitter end.
    • Prior to that, even before he claimed the Spell Fencer Asterisk, he served in the Eternian Duchy as a squadron commander, with Holly Whyte—who would eventually hold the White Mage Asterisk—as one of the members of the unit under his command. She and Einheria Venus—eventual holder of the Valkyrie Asterisk, and someone Edea Lee looked up to—viewed him in high regard.
  • Currently in hiding during the events of the Glanz Empire's attack, he was approached by a Pantheon envoy and invited. For reasons only he knows, he took the offer, and was eventually ascended as a deity.
  • He doesn't hold his defeat to Tiz and company against them; that's just part of the mercenary life. And he had ultimately got what he wanted by the end. And since he's a mercenary, should they wish to, he's willing to accept them as contractors.
  • As part of his position, he's been granted the abilities of his Spell Fencer Asterisk, which he heard was now in the Treasury. This includes Asterisk space to prevent escape, though it goes away if Khint leaves the battle.
  • He used to have exorbitant surcharges to likely help compensate his sick daughter should he end up dying, which is what happened to him before the Adventurer saved him (and many others Tiz and company defeated) from the brink. But since Death Is Cheap in the Pantheon, Khint was required to reassess his fee system before joining the market again for contracts. The Eight Travelers are among his more frequent employers.
  • Many mercenaries look down on Khint for his dynamic contract fee since they deem it unprofessional to back out on a client when a price is agreed on.
  • As someone who turned to a life of crime to pay for illness treatment, Khint sort of understands Walter White's motivations when the drug lord hired him one time. Though for White's it's his own while for Khint's it's his daughter's. That said, given White's occasional bouts of ego, which can lead to recklessness, as well as how he treats his allies, Khint keeps their relationship professional, and is always ready to leave should things get too dicey.
  • Given the exorbitant bounty on John Wick, Khint is among those who fancy a chance in claiming it. Given their differences in their Weapon Of Choice, he often ends up as just another notch in Wick's kill count.
  • As someone who's undergone the mercenary life, Khint was approached one day by Han Solo and Chewbacca. The former can relate to only caring for his next payment (before turning over a new leaf when he joined the Rebel Alliance), and the latter is trying to encourage Khint to becoming a full-fledged good guy, like he had done with Han, though the Wookiee language is admittedly hard to understand.
  • "My contract ends here. I'll take my leave."

Born, God of Railroaded Player Characters Taking Blame

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nihilumbra_born.png
  • While it's implied he can take on any form he likes, but just never had a reason to, Born takes the vague shape of a scarecrow, but around two feet shorter.
  • With his color powers, Born can change the color of certain surfaces/solids (and not midair), changing their properties, though only a limited amount can be placed at a time. They can also be removed by lava, though it's not known if other fluids can do the same.
    • Light Blue works like Frictionless Ice. Born runs faster on it. Heavy objects on it can he moved with comparative ease as well.
    • Green allows for bouncing of projectiles or oneself, but never when one is starting off from it.
    • Brown hampers movement, but also masks noise from underground dwellers and counters any form of suction nearby. It also allows Born to stick to a wall and jump off it if the wall is brown.
    • Red burns and destroys those that stay on it for too long, and serves as Born's only means of attack. He can survive it for a short time, alleviated by constantly jumping off of it, but even that is a temporary measure and Born will need to rest elsewhere lest he burn up, too. It can also enrage fireflies to emitting more light, and agitate mounted guns to firing faster.
    • Yellow generates electricity and can be used to temporarily connect power generators to appliances.
  • Given his fragile body, he has a respawn system in effect. When he dies, he always comes back at the entrance of any sub-House/Dominion he's in.
  • There are those who dislike Born due to the destruction wrought from his flight from the Void, but there are those who give justification to his actions, stating that as a recently-born entity, he had no sense of morality, only a will to live. And ultimately, he set things right after the Void was convinced to leave him alone and righted the wrong he did by somehow getting the Void to bring back the worlds it consumed trying to reclaim Born.
    • This is also why Born opposes those who consciously desire oblivion of all life.
  • Despite being an entity of darkness, Born isn't more fond of the sub-House of Darkness and Shadow than he is of any other sub-House in the House of Nature.
  • For some reason, Born finds an unexplainable connection with Cpt. Martin Walker, who's also undergone a journey wrought with disaster that went beyond his control, and took blame for it (as well as the "player controlling them").
  • The Inklings aren't quite sure what would happen if they're playing Turf War with Born in the area. Given his power to place colors, he has the potential to mess up their game depending on what colors they're currently taking on.
  • As a being from the Void, Xemnas holds interest in Born. So does Tabuu. Born doesn't like their attention.
  • When Count Bleck heard of Born's tale, he was reminded of the time he tried to end all of existance through the void, only Born was ending things just by existing because the Void wanted to reclaim him. At least the Void from whence Born came from eventually left him be.
  • Chell once crossed paths with Born while he was painting some area green. It reminds her of some Aperture Science goo that she's had to go through before.

Okay, if The Heroes of the World of Balance will inherit Ragtag Bunch of Misfits (and fuse Locke and Terra's profiles), there's still one big obstacle I have to face; the group picture. It was pretty difficult for me just to get one for the FF 4 Final Party (Cecil, Kain, Rydia, Rosa, Edge). Where can I find official art for all 14 of its members without using Yoshitaka Amano's official art, which we all know isn't the best in terms of game accuracy?

And if I pull this off, this will exceed my previous record for biggest group profile (the Nightwings at 11 characters).

[down][down]All right, all right. sad Sorry I'm being bipolar and inconsistent here. I'm just trying to look at all my options. Both are my picks, but I'm looking to opinions before I commit; it would be a waste to work so much on a profile only to be put to waste by a rebuff, just like what happened for Hugh Neutron last month, my Elspeth profile long ago, and—yes—the Shining Force.

And for the record, I'm leaving Shining Goodness to Shining Armor in the eventual big MLP rework.

[down][down][down]Are they official artwork? That's important. They look good, BTW.

[up][up]All right, what's with you saying yes to the Off Colors one minute and then going "so about giving the trope to the FFVI team"? This is the Shining Armor/Shining Force debacle all over again. [tdown]

@Mattman The Storyteller Happy Birthday! :)

@M1gami Tensei [tup] for Data.

[up][up][up][tup] for Ciggma Khint. I found two possible images for the FFVI cast: here and here. If neither works for you, I could try creating one myself, like I did with the Persona 1 cast.

EDIT:I can't really find anything to indicate whether they're official or not, they don't appear to be from deviant art at least.

First post of these Doctor Who ideas

The Celestial Toymaker, God of Wicked Toymakers (The Guardian of Dreams, the Crystal Guardian, The Mandarin, The Cosmic Puppeteer)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/celestialtoymaker_3782.jpg
  • House: Workmanship (House of Craft)
  • Overdeity
  • Symbol: A bunch of large toys
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Humanoid Abomination, Wicked Toymaker, Bends Reality, Stays In His "Toyroom", Motivated By Boredom, Psychopathic Manchild, Heads I Win, Tails You Lose, Ever Polite, Bored By Immortality, Physical God
  • Domains: Games, Toys, Reality Warping, Power, Childishness
  • High Priest: Dr Wondertainment
  • Followers: Sugar, Winslow Schott, Andre Toulon, Urfin Jus
  • Banned from: The House of Gaming
  • Interests: Slappy the Dummy
  • Respects: Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson
  • Allies: Mr Mxyzptlk, Akihiko Kayaba, Daniel D'arby
  • Enemies: The SCP Foundation, Clark Kent/Superman, The toys from Toy Story, most toy deities, Nobuyuki Sugou, Bob and George
  • The Celestial Toymaker is an enigmatic and extraordinarily powerful, yet childish being who resides in his own dimension known as the Celestial Toyroom. He abducts people to play his games, usually with big toys and large scale games. If he wins, the losers become his toys. If he loses, he destroys the toyroom. The Toymaker can survive this and recreate his realm, but good luck surviving it.
  • Was supposed to meet the Doctor again, but the sequel to "The Celestial Toymaker" never got made. He has shown up in the expanded universe, though. Various origins have been given to him-a member of the Guardians of Time, originating from another universe, what can be agreed on is that he's not in any way human. And he entered the pantheon because, like his games, it's a way to entertain him from the boredom of eternal life.
  • Though amused greatly by the Trope Pantheon, the Celestial Toymaker isn't interested in taking sides with the various alliance leaders. Cosmos and Melkor are relieved and frustrated respectively that he doesn't use his powers for more evil. However the Toymaker does respect the creators of Dungeons & Dragons, as it is a game he has enjoyed playing and it forms the basis of the pantheon he finds amusing.
  • As the true nature of the Toymaker is up for debate, and he's a Humanoid Abomination who turns people into his toys if they lose, the SCP Foundation regards him as an anomalous threat to normalcy. While his patterns are predictable and there are more active threats, they as still working to contain him, especially after his comment that some of the SCPs could be interesting to play with. The Toymaker is most interested in Dr Wondertainment's propensity for dangerous toys, and has made them his high priest.
  • Wishes to play with the Doctor again, however his grabbing of the TARDIS was intercepted by Rick's portal gun. Finding him just as intelligent, he forced Rick play a game of Trilogic. As he rare has to fight reality warpers, he instead focused on manipulating the Toymaker's ego and desire for a Worthy Opponent to distract him long enough to escape once he finished the game(the portal gun wasn't working as well in the Toymaker's presence). All while pretending he's not as good at it than he seems to keep the charade up. Though he acted crass, the Toymaker enjoyed his moxie and considered him a Worthy Opponent.
  • Bob and George had the misfortune of their dimensional jump leading them to the Toyroom. Bob made a bargain that they get to choose the game, that being the original 6 Mega Man video games. In addition, it must happen within the narrative of Bob and George. The Toymaker only accepted if the stakes were raised higher; if they lose, he's going to bring in all their friends and he will makes the rules then. They won because of their experience, and the Celestial Toymaker destroyed the realm. However as it took within the actual webcomic, they miraculous escaped with space-time shenanigans since the title characters can't be killed off.
  • The next on the Toymaker's list of those to kidnap was the Man of Steel himself. This immediately got Mr Mxyzptlk's attention because Superman is his to play with and troll. The imp's fifth-dimensional powers proved completely overpowering to the Celestial Toymaker, and he had to concede. However on observing his antics, Mxy became fond of him because they're like two peas in a pod; phenomenally powerful, mostly amoral beings who love to play around with people. The two departed on good terms, with hopes for a friendly game between the two and learning new ways to have fun; no risks involved.
  • Most of the toys in the pantheon are creeped out by the Celestial Toymaker due to his turning people into his toys and playthings when they lose, undoubtedly a Fate Worse than Death. The toys of Toy Story think his "playtime" is every kind of messed up. Slappy the Dummy, however, likes the way he plays with people's lives and wants to play a role. The Toymaker just sees Slappy as uncouth. Unlike the dummy, he is nothing but polite.
  • The Celestial Toymaker has been unanimously banned from the House of Gaming, in fear he will try to turn the house into his new toyroom. People from the house are still allowed to visit him, but so far the only one who even dared was Akihiko Kayaba. Mainly because the Toymaker had no intention of putting him in a game, as he respects his handiwork with SAO and his Game Master roles. Akihiko is wary around the Toymaker, though it's difficult to say he has a moral high ground and the Toymaker will play ball around him because of the aforementioned respect.
  • Though a Sore Loser, the Celestial Toymaker abides by a certain set of rules. He has little patience for cheaters either. Despite his otherwise amoral personality, he considers Nobuyuki Sugou to be trash. To convince him to behave himself with the ban, they handed Sugou to him to torment. Sugou lost and became the Toymaker's toy, a truly horrible fate, but nobody cared. The Toymaker eventually got bored and threw him away.
  • While he doesn't like cheaters, the Celestial Toymaker does tolerate it from Daniel D'arby as he proves classy and clever about it. Just as long as he gets to be classy and clever cheating too; it's only fair. Daniel accepted, and though he lost, the Toymaker had such fun he decided not to make him his toy and instead let him go so they can have normal gambling sessions. The elder D'arby brother can count himself lucky the Toymaker was in a good mood, and Telence suspects he wouldn't be able to pull the same stunt on the Toymaker.

So, here is a much more in-depth profile of the biggest skeletal/necromantic asshole in Fictional Media IMO. Any ideas I can add or is he ready to threaten the Pantheon once again?

  • Opposed By: Most Residents in the Pantheon
  • Allegiance: Grand United Alliance of Destruction
  • Additional Relationship: Molag Bal, The Killian Experience, Lord Voldemort
  • The first-born son of King Khetep of Khemri, Nagash was enlisted to become a priest for the Mortuary Cult, whereas his younger brother Thutep was enlisted to become king after Khetep's passing. Nagash hated the fact that he was overlooked as a potential ruler out of a birth function and made it a goal to achieve the top of the monarchy by any means. After Khetep was murdered and Thutep became king, Nagash tracked down three Dark Elves who were responsible for his father's death (Whom Nagash didn't care for and was more interested in what killed him). He began to dabble into Black Magic and later killed the Dark Elves after learning and mastering it. Soon after, he killed Thutep by entombing him alive and claimed the position of king, but not before telling his brother that he would be taking his wife and later killing his nephew for nothing other than sadistic satisfaction. He abused Thutep's wife and proved himself to be too self-serving, culminating in creating the Black Pyramid which bankrupted Nehekhara. The other kings of Nehekhara fiercely opposed Nagash, who proceeded to use the Black Pyramid to create necromancy and become its first user, eventually prompting to raise an army of undead. He waged a battle against the people against him and was defeated where he retreated to his sarcophagus while protected by his most loyal servant, Arkhan the Black.
    • Nagash died from exhaustion and malnutrition later on after wandering in the Nehekharian deserts, followed by a verbal beatdown from Thutep. Soon after, Nagash found himself alive again and would encounter the Skaven, whom would later go on to become one of Nagash's greatest enemies. He would also enlist slaves into his service and discover a mountain where he would later establish his own fortress, Nagashizzar. Alongside learning and mastering the use of warpstones, Nagash would craft items he would still use to this day before coming across Queen Neferata, who would work with Nagash to create an elixir, and thus becoming the first vampire, and Alcadizaar the Conquerer who deeply opposed Nagash. After a battle that Nagash lost due to the interference of the vampires, Nagash cursed them to feel pain under sunlight and the loss of feeling basic luxuries in everyday life and then later decided to pay the Skaven to spread poison around the sewers of Nehekhara to kill all of its inhabitants. He finally came up with his ultimate goal: The complete and utter destruction and death of all life in the world for Nagash to summon as undead without free will where only he will dictate freely. Ultimately however, Nagash was slain by Alcazidaar who was freed by terrified Skavens before he too, died from using a sword made of warpstone.
      • He would later return again centuries later, courtesy of his followers and Arkhan, but the sword that Alcadizaar used to kill him before had the additional side-effect of weakening Nagash should he ever be revived. This has been a source of irritation ever since. He would later go on to fight against Sigmar Heldenhammer and die again by his hands before being resurrected again by yet another set of centuries to battle his greatest predecessor, Settra the Imperishable, which by that point, both Nagash and Settra had attained the goal of immortality.
  • Nagash entered the Pantheon after the End Times. And no, he wasn't happy at all after seeing that his plans and goals have been all decimated by Archaon and the Chaos Gods whom opposed the Necromancer as the Chaos Gods are driven by Emotion and that Nagash's end goal would result in the complete eradication of emotion itself. He soon met and struck a deal with Nekron who promised that Nagash would be presented with the opportunity to conquer the Pantheon. While Nekron seemed promising, Nagash however feels as if he should be the ultimate destroyer and leader of the Pantheon, for his pride and ego was swollen beyond all measure. He serves the Grand United Alliance of Destruction as a leading figure, but Nagash is biding his time until he gains enough power to usurp Nekron and take over the GUAD.
    • One of the first actions Nagash did was to discover as many graves as he could before casting his necromantic powers to summon a gigantic army of undead people to use for the GUAD's service.
  • Nagash is unquestionably one of the most depraved and sadistic beings in the entire Pantheon, his actions matching up among the likes of Yuuki Terumi, Johan Liebert and Griffith, and considering the world he came from, its no exaggeration. His monstrous deeds have ranged from the personal to worldwide and he did all of it either because power was the only thing that mattered or he enjoys people suffering and will not waste any time in tormenting, mocking and torturing anybody he can get his hands on. His unpopular and hated reception is comparable to that of Zamasu, who himself is disgusted by Nagash's actions and thinks of his immortality as a sinful curse, though the Fall Kai isn't any different from depravity either.
    • Madoka Kaname hates him. She really despises Nagash, which is something given her character, stating that his actions are something only a true madman would do. Several rulers in the Pantheon are justifiably appalled with what Nagash had accomplished and what he wanted to do, in addition to killing off his own people partly due to his frustration and partly because of a kick of enjoyment. His ambition earned him the ire of Guts and his treatment of Thutep, his wife and nephew and his complete apathy about his father's murder made him a sworn enemy of the House of Family.
    • Even a good amount of villains find themselves opposing Nagash. Bowser is direct about his villainy, but he truly loves his son and gains the respect of his followers, and after hearing about Nagash, wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. Vlad von Carstein, himself a king of bloodthirsty vampires opposes the Great Necromancer for treating and disregarding the vampires like trash in addition to his leadership completely contrasting Vlad's stable and surprisingly prosperous reign. Malekith of the Dark Elves thinks of Nagash as a monster who needs to be stopped and hates him just as much as the Chaos Gods. Nagato is disgusted by the lengths that Nagash would go to regarding his end goals and has named him a top enemy in his new organization which includes Bowser and Vlad. Nagash is also opposed by Thanos who feels as if his actions are a mockery of Mistress Death and that the Mad Titan sees him as a threat when it comes to Thanos's affection of Death.
  • One of the most powerful necromancers to ever exist, Nagash is immensely feared throughout the Pantheon, to the extent that even hardened foes are left quivering in fear whenever the Great Necromancer decides to get himself involved in battle. Such fear that can be respected by numerous villains like Shinnok, Alduin and The Lich, who were willing to allow Nagash for an alliance. Nagash has accepted, though he personally sees all of this as a way to potentially weasel his way into a more feared reputation and higher leadership.
  • Thanks to his ego and ambition, Nagash is even more determined to collect more power and become more godly than he currently is now that he has seen how much potential the Pantheon really has. He is seeking to become an Overdeity by any means necessary, even bringing along the Black Pyramid and forcing his undead army to scrounge up any worthy materials, especially warpstones, to accelerate the goal. At the same time, he needs to feign Nekron about the fact that he is collecting items for the GUAD to use, a task that is harder than it sounds and often requires the assistance of Arkhan.
  • Is respected by Yuuki Terumi for what he did to his world's vampires, which Terumi found to be hilarious on his part. Though Nagash doesn't have much to state about Terumi, although he notes his depravity as pretty exceptional. Terumi reciprocates these feelings, though Zamasu is currently trying to convince Terumi to not think too much about the Great Necromancer.
  • Darkseid sees his end goal as pretty respectable on his part, though he has noted that he limited his scope to only his world. The Great Necromancer was intrigued by the lengths that the Lord of Tyranny went through to become a God himself and noted that they're a lot more similar than expected. The two have agreed to a cease-fire as both of them oppose Melkor and the Chaos Gods, but Nagash is also plotting to kill Darkseid once the deal has expired. Archaon serving the Lord of Tyranny was a pestering news, but Nagash will let it slide for now.
  • Privately admits that Settra, the one being who opposes him above everyone else, is one of the only individuals Nagash can bring himself up to respect. Then again, Nagash's immortality and his current state and power wouldn't have been possible if Settra hadn't united Nehekhara and established the Mortuary Cult in search of immortality. Still doesn't change the fact that the two of them are the greatest of enemies.
  • Has been referenced by the Killian Experience as "just a skeleton whom a vampire spent all his money on because he was immortal and bored. And he "didn't live up to the hype". Nagash became furious over the claim, though not because Killian is making fun of him, which Nagash is content with, considering he's practically hated by nearly everyone in the Pantheon, but because the vampire in question is Mannfred von Carstein, whose selfishness and pettiness was the reason The Warhammer World was destroyed and robbed Nagash of all of his efforts. In fact, while Nagash still has Mannfred as his herald, he's not going to be forgiving anytime, because of which the vampire is in hiding until he finds a way to get ascended.
  • Doesn't have much thoughts for Voldemort. Voldemort is impressed by Nagash and his actions, but the Great Necromancer sees him as a disappointment and too small-scaled. Not to mentioned his scope was towards the UK, but mainly a high-school, and he got outsmarted and killed by a bunch of teenagers.
  • Is commended by Molag Bal for his utter and unrelenting depravity and his grand ambition. Nagash himself sees the Harvester of Souls as much better deity than the ones that the Nehekharian people worshiped. Though Nagash would much rather feel that Molag Bal defect Melkor in favor of him (Not Nekron, just him).
  • Set up an invasion in the Pantheon to lay waste upon receiving Nekron's permission and rallying up an alliance with Shinnok, Gul'dan and Count Orlok. He decided to take to personally battling the Puella Magi during which he killed Mami and Kyoko in an effort to break the remaining members's spirits, especially Madoka 's who broke down to uncontrollable tears after receiving too much of Nagash's vicious insults and mocking over her slain friends. He was attacked by Artix Von Krieger whereupon the two engaged in a grueling duel with Nagash mostly having the upper hand. Only with the interference of Settra and Nagato was Nagash finally pushed back. Although he retreated, he snickered in sadistic satisfaction in making Madoka miserable and creating another massive set of casualties for the GUAD to add to their forces.
  • Has formed a rivalry with Arthas Menethil due to their human origins and being the most feared undead figures in their respective worlds. That said, even Arthas wants nothing to do with Nagash. Conversely, Nagash gets along splendidly with Kel'Thuzad due to their omnicidal nature and their affinity to dark magic and necromancy.
  • Has written nine books to detail his necromantic powers and how to learn and master them. These are currently scattered all across the Pantheon to Nagash's annoyance. He's telling Nekron to quickly dispatch troops to retrieve the books so that they aren't used against them.
  • After witnessing and researching Nagash and his powers, Hal Jordan sent an urgent message to the other Lantern Corps to discuss on combating against the Great Necromancer. Sinestro devised that the time has come for the Lantern Corps to strengthen their unity with one another, considering Nagash's alliance with Nekron and that the Lantern Rings should begin to be distributed to potential members of the Pantheon regarding their strong affinity towards a certain emotion. While Larfleeze isn't going to give out any ring (given the Orange Lantern's emotional power), he will accept the alliance as he does agree with Nagash being a threat to the entire Pantheon and to the entire emotional spectrum as a whole.
  • Has noticed an alternate universe where to his shock, he discovered that the Liche-Priest, Nerutep is actually Thutep who had been assisting Settra and deciphering Nagash's nine books to become the lord of the Black Pyramid, alongside winning Settra's approval. Nagash broke down like never before, mindlessly killing several of his own minions and nearly terraforming a piece of land, learning that once again, he is beneath Thutep. At the same time, this unseen rage has now made Nagash even more determined to destroy the Pantheon and overtake it as its ultimate ruler.
There will be no escape, no blessed oblivion. I can end your life as easily as I can extinguish a candle, and before your corpse is cold, I can reach out and grasp your soul. You will be my slave for all eternity, and I shall laugh at the depths of your pain. Such is the power of Nagash

Thank you everybody!

I've decided to add "Q" to the profile, since he can technically experience the Multiple-Choice Future. Is that okay?

  • Alignment:
  • Portfolio: Possess the power to SHIFT, the ability to switch bodies with a version of themselves in another time during moments of extreme danger, usually life threatening
  • Domains: Espers, Mental Time Travel, Puzzles, Numbers, Probability, Alternative Outcomes
  • Herald: Quark (Junpei), Aoi Kurashiki (Akane), Luna, Kyle, and Lagomorph (Sigma), Maria (Carlos)
  • Allies: Snake, , Shinji Ikari, Sora, Beat, every good guy in the Mentalism House, Ever good Blazblue deity, Professor Layton, Frisk, Rintaro Okabe, Taki Tachibana and Mitsuha Miyamizu
  • Enemies: Monokuma and his mastermind, every evil god in the House of Mentalism, Every evil Blazblue deity, Mephiles the Dark
  • Complicated Relationships: Flowey, all Law Enforcement deities in the Pantheon.
  • Opposed by: The Dahaka
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Rick Sanchez
  • Exclusive to the group:
    • Originally, Junpei Tenmyouji was part of the Pantheon as the God of the Morphogenetic Field, but eventually 5 more from his universe were offered a place in the Pantheon to join him as Gods of Multiple-Choice Future for their ability to experience multiple futures and SHIFT to other timelines to make use of the information they learned. Junpei is all too happy to accept the change, especially since his fiance, Akane, gets to join.
    • Some of the SHIFTers have good relationship with the heroic Danganronpa entities, though Sigma and Akane's relationship with them is a complicated matter. While the latter did start their own Nonary Game, they did it out of good intentions or understandable motives. Of course, the one thing they can agree on is that none of them can stand Junko Enoshima, who started Killing Game and brought about a apocalypse all to satisfy her lust for despair. Even Delta had good intentions in the end, tainted as they were by his atrocities and pointless acts of cruelty.
    • The SHIF Ters would cross paths with other gods with similar powers over time and space. These include all the good deities from the Blazblue universe note , Frisk, Floweynote , and Sansnote , and Rintaro Okabenote .
      • The group's opinion on Flowey is complicated. On one hand, he did abused his power to satisfy his boredom, but on the other hand, his lack of a SOUL keeps him from feeling any empathy at all. The SHIF Ters feel pity for him, and wonder if they can create create a timeline where Flowey can finally be restored as Asriel, or at least create where he never died in the first place.
      • Some of the good Blazblue deities are accepting of the SHIFTers, since they can experience multiple timelines as well. However, there are some who are not as accepting, including Jin Kisaragi, Hakumen, Carl Clover, Azrael, and Arakune.
      • Sans does get along well with them, though he still doesn't approve of some of the ways they use their powers, since it reminds him of how the power to SAVE can be misused.
      • Frisk, being an All-Loving Hero, befriends the SHIFTers quite easily. He especially gets along well with Carlos and Diana.
      • Rinataro Okabe notes the differences between their methods of time travel, since SHIFTing mostly traveling to alternate timelines, while he can affect his timeline.
    • The SHIFTers fear one being above all else, the Dahaka. The Dahaka works to end anyone who tries to change their fate, regardless of their methods or reasons. It will be a Fate Worse than Death for the SHIFTers if they're caught, since they can't SHIFT to get out. Akane and Sigma are the biggest targets of the Dahaka, since they were the masterminds behind their Nonary Games.
    • Some of the SHIFTers relationship with the law-enforcing deities are complicated, especially in Akane and Sigma's case. While they do have the best of intentions and their plans do eventually lead to a successful outcome, some law-abiding deities note their Deadly Games still could have potentially endangered and traumatized the participants. Akane even kidnapped the participants of the Second Nonary Game and indirectly, but intentionally killed 3 of them, Asshole Victim or not. Some are even willing to arrest Junpei for covering up her crimes. Phoenix Wright acknowledges these crimes, yet he isn't sure what to say.

  • Exclusive to Junpei:
    • Ascended after surviving not only one, but three Nonary Games with only two casualties that weren't even his fault, and surviving dozens of nuclear blasts and a nuclear winter down on Earth, even adopting a son and surviving until becoming old. An extremely impressive feat for a mere mortal that the Trope Gods recognized.
    • Tries his best to talk to all the Heroes, but often finds himself talking to Makoto Naegi, as the two of them can relate on many things (getting trapped in a life or death scenario, being tricked into thinking someone (Snake, Enoshima) who was alive but hidden to be dead...).
    • Once found himself in the middle of a small battle between the GUAE and GUAG, but somehow made it out unscathed. Some say there may have been a morphogenetic field user within the battle besides him, but he refuses to comment.
      • Said morphogentic field user may or may not have been Snake, who recently ascended into the Pantheon. Junpei is glad to see him again.
    • Since the events of the Decision Game, Junpei finally manages to propose to Akane. Some are happy for him now that he finally did get the girl, some are opposed to this because of Akane's actions. Nevertheless, the ones that support this relationship also found it goofy when he placed the ring on the wrong hand.
  • Exclusive to Akane:
    • For a while, deities were not sure of what to make Akane and her motives. It turns out she is the first to bear the name of Zero, having kidnapped 9 people (including her Childhood Friend, Junpei) and forcing them to participate in a Deadly Game so Junpei can tap into the morphogentic field and save Akane's younger self from burning to death, as well as get to revenge on 4 of the participants she kidnapped, who happened to be those who masterminded the previous Nonary Game 9 years prior and forced 18 children to participate. Akane did exploit the multiple timelines to help her younger self (who was watching the Nonary Game through Junpei's eyes) learn the means to contact Junpei fully and set a Stable Time Loop, but she also made sure that innocent people were not harmed needlessly and those she did kill indirectly would be those not missed. She gives Junpei and everyone else some transport back to civilization once the purpose of the Nonary Game has been fulfilled. Regardless of her actions, Junpei still continued to search for her, though it seems to be all for naught when he encounters her in their old age in the distant future, where she had become The Unfettered in her pursuit to stop Free the Soul.
      • But the during the Decision Game, we finally see Akane's true nature in full circle. Akane, despite her methods, showed that her personality was not entirely faked. She still loved Junpei, and her optimism is real, even if she belived in using some pragmatic means to save everyone. She wasn't even the mastermind of the Decision Game, and was in fact trying to stop Zero II from unleashing Radical-6. Junpei's faith is rewarded when he finally proposes to her and they get engaged in the Omega Ending, though they agreed to put their wedding on hold until they can find and stop the religious fanatic from triggering a nuclear war.
    • Akane gets along with Rika, someone who gone through countless timeloops to put a stop to the crisis endangering her town. Akane admires Rika's determination and promises to help her put a stop to her Evil Counterpart, Berkanstel. Rika in turn admires Akane's intelligence and determination, though she does disapprove of some of the methods she used in her plans, necessary or not.
  • Exclusive to Carlos:
    • Carlos was a firefighter who saved his younger sister in a fire and originally volunteered at the Dcom to earn money for her operation. Unfortunately, he didn't realize until it was too late that he just became a participant of the Decision Game, and he's even forced make most of the decisions for the team consisting of himself, Akane, and Junpei. He still manages to pull through and help everyone reach the ideal timelinenote , and his sister manages to pull through and become a SHIFTer as well. Currently, he has agreed to help Junpei and Akane find the religious fanatic.
    • It's shown that Carlos gets along with Optimus Prime very well, since they are both seen as heroes of justice, not to mention how some incarnations of Optimus have a firetruck as an alternate mode. Optimus does praise Carlos' leadership skills during the Decision Game.
  • Exclusive to Sigma:
    • Sigma was originally a college student before he got kidnapped and forced to participate in the AB Project. However, it turns out he was actually the younger self of Zero Sr., the game's mastermind, and his 22 year old mind was inhabiting his elderly self. The project was to train him and Phi to master their SHIFTing abilities so they can go back in time to prevent the Radical-6 outbreak that ruined the world. Upon being send to the point where Radical-6 was unleashed, Sigma would spend the next few years becoming Zero Sr., learning genetic engineering and AI programming, creating Kyle, Lagomorph, and Luna, before SHIFTing to the point where he and Phi would investigate the site where Radical-6 was unleashed. There, Sigma would fall in love with a woman named Diana, and in one timeline, would conceive with her the twin children who would grow up to become Phi (the very same girl who would help him in both the AB Project and the Decision Game and Delta (the Decision Game's mastermind), using the transporter to send perfect copies of them back in time so at least some versions of them would survive.
    • Out of all the Danganronpa deities, Sigma finds Hajime Hinata to be the most similar to him. They both participating in Deadly Games, where unbeknownst to them, they mastermindednote . They both also lost someone very dear to them, and that provided them the motivation for their goals (Sigma lost Diana and became motivated to stop the Radical-6 outbreak in another time for her sake. Izuru saw Chiaki die in front of him, and it awoke some of Hajime's feelings, causing him to seek revenge on Enoshima). Both would meet another who is based on their special someone (Luna for Sigma, AI Chiaki for Hajime). The biggest difference is that while Sigma would finally reunite with Diana in one timeline, Hajime only has Chiaki's spirit supporting him. Sigma genuinely sympatheizes with Hajime, and admits that he would have wanted to make Hajime a SHIFTer so he can finally find a timeline where he could prevent his mistakes and save Chiaki.
  • Exclusive to Phi:
    • A young woman who would help Sigma throughout the AB Project, which was meant to train her and Sigma to master their SHIFTing powers. Once they make it back to the site of the Radical-6 outbreak, Phi and Sigma would work alongside a woman named Diana to survive the Decision Game. When Phi dies in one timeline, her infant self would be born as Sigma and Diana's daughter, and the infant would be copied and send to the past alongside her twin brother Delta. There through a series of events, the older Phi would use the transporter to send her copy to the future, setting the stage for the events of both the Decision Game and the AB Project.
  • Exclusive to Diana:
    • Diana was a young nurse who was kind to a fault, unable to resist her abusive husband whenever he begs, causing her to take part in Dcom to try and get away from him for good. When she is forced to take part in the Decision Game as leader D-Team (consisting of herself, Sigma, and Phi), Diana would fall in love with Sigma, and in one timeline, give birth to the twins who would grow up to become Phi and Delta. In another time though, she ended up causing Radical-6 because of her refusal to Mercy Kill Phi when she is infected by the virus and burn her remains. Diana would end up being the basis for Sigma's creation, Luna, a similarly kind-hearted GAULEM.
    • Diana would meet with the human Chiaki Nanami, finding her very similar to her. They both served as the Lost Lenore to their most important person, and their attempts to do the right thing ending up causing an apocaylpse. They also ended up as the basis for an artificially made copy of them (Diana for Luna, Chiaki for her AI copy). Diana and Chiaki get along splendidly and hope they can help the other.

Do you guys think enough time has passed from me to bring up the suggestions for Promare?

Angst Nuke for Lio and Firemen Are Hot for Galo?

I the movie, the burnish are people who were regular people but when subjected to extreme or even above normal stress, mutate in people who can start and control a special type of fire. Lio is the leader of the Mad Burnish, a group of Burnish who are labeled as terrorist group ,actually fighting to save other Burnish from experiments and capture and actively try not to get anyone killed. When all the Burnish are capture to be used a fuel essentially and he's left in a volcano with something that will turn heat into ice to trap him, he goes ballistic and manages to break out through his own anger and almost destroys a large city in his rage (all in the form of a giant dragon).

Galo is the main character of Promare, as newest member of the city's fire recuse squad and not isn't the smartest of the bunch, but makes up for it in his muscle, luck, and willingness to rescue people. While he did wear a proper firefighter uniform before the film, but by the time of the actual movie is just wearing the pants and cover over his burned arm from his first rescue, so he's fighting fires shirtless. He basically an expy of Kamina.

[up] I feel like enough time has passed for Promare suggestions.

Explain why these two fit those tropes for those unfamiliar with the work.

@ Mattman: I suppose it would be fine to add Q.

Perhaps they all could be enemies with Yoshikage Kira? The final ability of his stand, Bites the Dust, essentially works in a way that kills whoever finds out his real identity when he was posing as Kosaku Kawajiri while rewinding the clock. And whatever happened in that loop will repeat in every future loop, including the deaths of the people who dug too deep into finding out who he really was. Through this, it allows him to freely live his life as a hand-fetishizing Serial Killer until he was outsmarted and force to disable it, leading to his defeat at the hands of Josuka Higashikata and his allies.

Copen's profile is long enough, I feel.

  • Here is a little story from the past: A scientist by the name of Dr. Kamizono was a researcher at the Sumeragi Futures Institute of Technology’s S-FIT. Though their mission is to revolutionize energy, the sinister practice of live experimentation on Adepts thrived beneath the surface. Kamizono disapproved of such practices, but that ultimately came down to Sumeragi helping create more and more of these “monsters”. Soon one fateful day he along with many other researchers are all killed by one of their experimentees, a young boy that commanded electricity, who disappeared into the unknown while Sumeragi wasted no time in burying the incident and taking his research to further their goals. Dr. Kamizono has two children, an older boy and a younger girl, and the former would go on to pick up the pieces left behind his late father. Believing Sumeragi actually silenced his father to take the research the kid came to the conclusion he would have to take matters into his own hands. This boy’s name is Copen Kamizono and he fights to rid the world of every last Adept.
  • The removal of one of Amon’s titles was swift and efficient. Onlookers around the House of Philosophy could only toward a 14 year old kid clad in white and red dashing from building to building before disappearing without a trace. Later that evening reports popped across the different Houses of both Sumeragi and Eden’s hits. All shared the distinction of a white and crimson blur blasting through the air and eliminating their personnel and driving away their bosses through laser weaponry and abilities replicated from the higher ups. There was no mistaking it, Copen has ascended to the Pantheon.
Copen: "Sumeragi and Eden. The fact that both of you walk in the land of the living once more is another crime in of itself. But you won't evade me, or your coming judgement."
  • Though only a normal boy his genius in technology and engineering allows to keep up and even surpass the strengths of the mystical Adepts. Preferring unrelenting attacks and quick speed he arms himself with Border Mk II, a gun from his late father that once shot anti-Septima bullets but has since switched to lasers. Copen doesn’t slack on defense, however. In addition to the many subroutines he installs on White Tiger armor Copen can quickly Bullit Dash into things to tag them for his lasers and can even take to the skies with his Rocket Boots. Plus, through analyzing an Adept’s Septisome Copen can replicate their former owner’s powers. This was how he was able to copy the Azure Striker’s mainstay of defense: Prevasion, and this would only be the tip of the iceberg to his arsenal.
    • Abilities copied from Adepts’ Septimas take the form of EX Weapons and are manned by many different drones that surround Copen called Bits, all of them managed by a spunky Robot Buddy named Lola. From Power Grab and Gorgon Gaze to Hailstorm Blade and Hydro Zapper. While EX Weapons are inactive the Bits also function as a shield known as Flashfield, another barrier against attacks coming his way. With this in mind Copen is able to juggle both offense and defense and is a force to be reckoned with though he does hold back on using EX Weapons so as to not overly reliant on them and be defeated. Really piss him off and you'll get another story, as GV can attest to. Guilt Sequence and Doppler Destroyer are good enough proof of that.
  • Speaking of, Copen can be looked at as Gunvolt’s opposite in almost every way. Copen is a Muggle who fights with technological genius clad in white and red, while GV is an Adept who fights with his granted powers and is instead dominantly clad in blue and black. Further highlighting this is the respective Tiger Versus Dragon and demon and angel symbolism between the two and with Copen originally hauling heavier armor, complete with a shield doubling as a ballista. In short, Copen was durable while GV was more nimble.
  • Being a young scientist he frequents the House of Technology to further hone his craft, though he's very careful not to diverge any of his technology publicly so as they don't get misused much like with his late father's research. It is disappointing enough that there are all too many in the field of science who like to abuse it for personal gain such as Professor Hojo, Bonedrewd, and Ryoma Sengoku. Its for that reason he agrees with Arthur Maxson and the Brotherhood of Steel's overall doctrine, though he does balk at the Brotherhood's use of a Humongous Mecha and its ability to throw nuke-like ordinances. In a post-apocalyptic world. Where everthing was bombed to hell.
Lola: "Geez, boss. Don't sugarcoat it or anything."
    • Roboticists on the side of evil also gets on his nerves, considering who his partner is and everything and having fought an Adept with "the self-absorbed delusions of an infant" that brought an entire factory's worth of machines to life. Eggman and Wily in particular are the kind of people who fit that description like the glove. Copen and Lola hates the latter's guts more mainly for being behind the Roboenza Virus. Even if he left behind enough cures for a whole population, that hasn't excused... practically everything else he has done. If he's conducting his business but is not hunting down Adepts and other superhumans then it is likely he's trying to thwart their plots.
  • When working on research late in the Pantheon's nights he takes trips down to the House of Food. Specifically, he goes down to get some coffee and prefers it black. It's practically a favorite of his, and pretty indicative of his personality despite being so young he's wise beyond his years, even if he's quite stubborn. Here, he prefers to keep a low profile in this downtime and doesn't usually try to stick around longer than he needs to. Though he does consistently talk to Godot due to a shared love for coffee, anyways. Sure, the coffee-themed koans are quite odd and overall illogical, but the prosecutor makes for a good conversationalist anyways.
  • As the Pantheon is a much more forgiving place Copen has been put under a lot of scrutiny for his goals when it comes to pulling a Final Solution on Adepts. While there is never any doubt it is an extreme solution the state of his world and actions of organizations like Eden is glaring, so it is not like he has no ground to stand on. One of the things that stopped people from being seeing him as bad as both Sumeragi and Eden is the fact he mainly reserves his wrath towards villains and other vagabonds, though make no mistake he won’t hesitate on attacking people like GV if they get in his way. The other reason is that with the revelation that his sister, Mytyl, is an Adept herself Copen’s resolve in his cause is noticeably shaken even as he left her and the Kamizono family to continue on fighting.
    • In any case, Charles Xavier along with the X-Men and other mutants have collectively deemed Copen their enemy for his stance against superhuman beings as a whole, not all too different from the regular humans who have their prejudices against them. Many are also weary of his ability to copy Septimas and it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume Copen would be able to do the same to their mutations if given time and the chance.
    • And speaking of mutant-hating humans, Copen and William Stryker have an interesting relationship. Though the two of them share many simalirites ranging from beliefs (in more ways than one to an extent) Copen is disturbed that he was willing to both kill his own son for being a mutant and his wife for given birth to said mutant... in some instances at least. Regardless, family is something that means a lot to Copen. It's the reason he took up fighting Adepts in the first place and the reason why he had a crisis of faith as stated earlier. One severe enough to fake his death, discard the Kamizono name, and leave his sister to live a life without him in the picture when earlier she was just in the dark of it all. William, meanwhile, most of the time finds his lack of ability to steel his convictions disgraceful.
    • Being a well known team of Cape Busters, Copen has worked with the Boys here and there. Although we would be lying if there wasn't any vitriol tossed back and forth given Copen's extreme ideals when it comes to superhumans as a whole considering his claims of wanting to rid the world of superhumans period. It's quite in line with Billy Butcher tried to do, even extending it to his teammates in the mortal world. Though even with that similarity he and Copen can hardly be called likeminded. Copen doesn't take any pleasure in what he does unlike Butcher and the revelation regarding his sister had him cast genuine doubts on what he preaches.
    • Being nearly undaunted in the idea that regular and Differently Powered Individuals are unable to coexist he is then unable to comprehend the state of the society deities from My Hero Academia are from. And thinking about it more ultimately leads him to be frustrated in the end, especially when it is about the disparity between there and Copen's world. On the other side of the coin many are weary of Copen as his use of Depleted Phlebotinum Shells and Power Grab are all too reminiscent of not only All for One but also bullets that are able to de-Quirk people. But as it is with Copen his beef is mainly with its villains, though he's a dangerous person the cross all the same.
  • At some point different people have made comparisons between him and Masato Kusaka, mainly for the fact that both are not only rivals to the heroes of their respective but also carrying that drive to wipe out anyone they don't deem human. Copen and Lola consider the comparisons offensive. While the former won't necessarily deny them (Copen himself internally admitted he is a demon bent on revenge), he would like to make the distinction that he is definitely not a Yandere who is perfectly willing to manipulate the targeted interest's friends into infighting so he could have them all for himself. On Masato's end he finds the way Copen goes about his business with Adepts intriguing and is starting to have some similar thoughts when it comes to the Pantheon's population of kaijin. As if his existing Fantastic Racism for them wasn't enough.
Lola: "A jerk and a creep. Ugh!"
    Copen: "What a winning combination."
  • If you're still wondering: He and Amon, the former holder of Muggle Power, don't like each other by the way. Though the both have a shared hatred against their respective universe's powers, citing them as the cause of everything wrong and awful, came to that conclusion thanks to their fathers, and are both hypocritical in some way or another they are still very different. How they came to hate powers is as different as night and day with Copen doing so out of a love for his father and desire to avenge him while Amon was abused by his instead. The same can be said with how they deal with the problem with Copen wanting to kill anyone with a Septima and does the dirty business on his own while Amon took to debending people and building an following after it. In addition, both don't shy away at calling each other's hypocrisy whether its with Copen using the Adepts powers against them and ditching his sister as opposed to killing her like he always said or Amon being a Bender himself (and an incredibly capable one at that).
  • Don't let that cold demeanor fool you. Even in his line of work he's quite the Deadpan Snarker himself, one that matches Gunvolt. And when the situation calls he can also be The Comically Serious. For example, he was quite through with Ghauri's atrocious rhymes, enough so that he was actually losing focus during their rematch. And he didn't even hesitate on pressing Gibril's Berserk Button repeatedly after finding what it was. In addition, his indistinct religiousness leads to Copen also being a bit of a prude if you can believe it. He was pretty stingy on what his sister is consuming in terms of reading material, and wasn't on board with the idea of her using perfume as that's more for older girls.
  • There are times, however, in which Copen is a lot more mellow in his actions and attitude. He’s less of a Deadpan Snarker, preferring a more quiet and even respectful outlook towards his enemies and all the talk about God along with his Fantastic Racism for the Adepts and those empowered like them is oddly absent. This can be attributed to the journey where he took on the now Adept-backed Sumeragi Institute of Human Evolution where he went by the moniker of "iX". In other words, the journey involving the timeline in which Gunvolt and Joule were both killed by Asimov who then went on to usurp Sumeragi in the power vacuum from Nova’s demise and Take Over the World as Demerzel. His reign of terror would last for a century, and Copen was forced to become a cyborg to continue fighting. His new temperament here makes it all the more ironic, especially so since he now genuinely mourns Gunvolt and Joule’s death since practically every encounter with the former ended with Copen trying to murder him. Instead, he reserved every ounce of his Tranquil Fury towards Asimov. For Gunvolt and Joule's deaths at his hands, for Mytyl’s suffering as the Butterfly Effect, and for this living nightmare of a world where Adepts are heavily surveyed and forced to join in on killing the rest of humanity.
    • As a result many gods and goddesses note Copen is much easier to work with in this state of mind whereas he usually would of attacked someone with powers whether they were good or evil and would only relent if the situation proved really dire such as when an airship nearly crashed into a skyscraper. It is a bit hard to believe, and may give people some whiplash comparing the normal Copen to iX but few are willing to object having someone like that on their side for a change. Various heroic deities from My Hero Academia have come across iX by chance who was more than willing to help them out and even get along with them, though Copen perhaps gets along with Izuku Midoriya the best possibly because he used to be a Quirkless person himself. To Copen, he's reminded of an Adept who was not born with a Septima named "Blade", though the circumstances are much more tragic in their case, even if they were freed and even inspired to keep going by Copen in the end. Izuku and his allies silently hope this change of heart can be brought out more often.
  • "I'll keep fighting until the day the last Adept falls."
