    The Great Diamond Authority
The Great Diamond Authoritymembers, Goddess Triumvirate of Gem Hearts (Yellow: Giraffe Mom, Blue: Sith Diamond, White: Lightbulb, Ragyo, Diamond Rick)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_diamonds_at_roses_fountain.png
Blue Diamond, White Diamond, and Yellow Diamond, with Rose's Fountain and Steven Universe in Blue's hand for scale.
  • Greater Goddesses (though White is an Overdeity in the realm of the Gems)
  • Symbol: Their sigil in Era 2 (Era 1/Era 3 sigil with Pink Diamond/Steven Universe here)
  • Theme Song: all right here
  • Alignment: From Lawful Evil with a mix of Stupid Evil, to Lawful Neutral and then Neutral Good thanks to Steven
  • Portfolio: Ginormous Physical Goddess-Empresses, Colourful Theme Naming, Large and in Charge, Light Is Not Good, Rank Scales with Asskicking, Broken Ace, Time Abyss, Even Evil Has Loved Ones, Fascist, but Inefficient Yet Also Repressive, but Efficient, Galactic Conqueror, Lack of Empathy Because They Never Had Time To Learn It, Psychopathic Womanchild, Lonely at the Top, Royally Screwed Up, Poor Communication Kills, Being Evil Sucks
  • Domain(s): Diamonds, Leadership
    • Yellow Diamond: Electricity, Military, Restoration
    • Blue Diamond: Emotion, Court Affairs, Grief -> Bliss
    • White Diamond: Perfection, Control -> Channeling
  • Heralds: Their Pearls, Spinel, Defense/Prosecution Zircon (potential new elected leader of Homeworld)
  • High Priestess: Cardia Beckford
  • Followers: All Homeworld Gems, Darkhawk, Greatshells, Jumi
  • Special Relationship: Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond (their sister), Steven Universe (their sister's son/reincarnation)
  • Allies: The Crystal Gems, Sarah Kerrigan
  • Under Heavy Scrutiny by: The Imperium of Mankind
  • Odd Friendship: Courage the Cowardly Dog (White)
  • Enemies: The Lich, Aku, The Aparoids, Sheev Palpatine (especially for Yellow, who also fears him)
  • Awkward Terms: Greg Universe (Blue only)
  • Envied by: The Combine, Josuke Higashikata (to Yellow, and less seriously)
  • Opposed by: The extremist deities in the House of Nature, Asura
  • Unease from: The Alien Baltans
  • When it comes to the trope Gem Heart, there was once talk of assembling all the Crystal Gems together (including Lapis Lazuli and the then-unascended Peridot, as well as Bismuth) to represent the role. However, they've all shown to be ideal representatives of the (new) tropes they representnote  And so when someone made an offhand suggestion of ascending their precursors instead, Steven took it and decided to nominate the Great Diamond Authority.
  • As for their introduction, Steven, with Court escorts, was the one who invited them. He also did a lot of arrangements and preparations to ensure that the ceremony will at least not turn bloody. He got a lot of help from others in this regard.
  • Their ascension ceremony was an epic one, featuring their Combining Humongous Mecha landing in the designated site and their Gems introducing them to everyone in attendance before being officially relieved from duty. That said, given the Diamonds' previous alignments, especially the fact that they were galactic conquerors only a few years ago, it was an extremely awkward and tense affair all around, to put it mildly, especially when it comes to slavery, and after people got a look at Pink Pearl/"Volleyball"'s broken eye, which was a point of interest/concern/anger for some.
  • But if Steven was able to turn them around, and given all the other redeemed folks in the GUAG, and what the Diamonds have been up to since then, then perhaps the Diamond Authority can have a chance, and so Cosmos officiated their entry.
  • Applies to all or two of them:
    • In regards to their residency, due to… intense environmentalist issues, the Diamonds were provided a planet that is rich on minerals but lacking in significant fauna in which to colonize, such as a T0 planet, and a few Warp Pads between there and their Pantheon temple were also constructed (big enough to account for their size). That said, plant life seems to be blooming there after a few weeks since they've set up. There are even potted plants (sized accordingly, of course) in Yellow's wing.
    • In addition, to the annoyance of Yellow, Steven apologized in having been hasty and shortsighted in getting her to dismantle her military; after all, it's still necessary to have a defense force for the colonies the Diamond Authority currently have, and given what the Pantheon has, they might need every asset they can get in protecting their territory.
    • It's true that the Diamonds can be very formidable, but given Gems have been their opponents, that's understandable, as most of their empire's tools were for quelling dissidents in their populace. That said, that doesn't mean they're pushovers against other non-human (mostly organic) lifeforms by any capacity. For instance, Yellow's electricity could still short-circuit mechanical entities (and it's still electricity, with all the potential power that entails), and Blue's emotion powers could get to Empaths. And who knows what other aliens they must've combated during Eras 1 and 2.
      • Speaking of conquest, folks wonder what drove them to doing so in the first place, and how White even got the whole thing taking off. After all, since they don't require the same sustenance most organics do, it can't be a matter of resources. Theories abound, like the possibility of precursors programming the Diamonds long ago, or preparation for an attack that ultimately never came or is still coming. No definitive answers have been provided as of yet, but it's implied that White's need to spread her own then-perceived perfection across the universe was the driving force behind their conquests to begin with.
    • It's known that Diamonds can be poofed, though only Crystal Gem Pearl was witness and culprit to this as part of Pink Diamond's Faking the Dead plan. That said, it's not known what the psychological consequences of getting/seeing a fellow Diamond get poofed or even shattered would do, since the Pantheon has beings powerful enough to actually do this.
    • Have some difficulties with smaller spaces despite being shapeshifters. It's likely due to their pride to shift even smaller. This is another thing Steven is currently trying to resolve.
    • Their…steam condensed on their bodiesnote  can bring some materials to life, and is part of what other Gems are made of. It's likely that Steven's spit and Rose/Pink's tears are a different form of the same substance. Combining the essence of all four Diamonds together cures gem corruption and can repair a shattered gem from their fragments.
    • Of course, given their past as galactic conquerors, there are a lot of folks who despise them, some who only show tolerance because of Steven, a few who wouldn't hesitate to harm him to get to them (such as Hero Killer Stain, who believes Steven is too naïve to believe that the Diamonds are worth redemption, but a lack of blood to taste would make fighting them... difficult), and those perfectly capable of engaging them personally.
      • Asura despises the Diamond Authority, but has the most animosity towards White Diamond. Her initial general demeanor towards her underlings (including her "sisters") reminds him too much of Chakravartin and the Seven Deities. He isn't empathetic towards the younger "sisters" either, since they were all too willing to snuff out organic life to just create more Gems, akin to the Gohma Vlitra creating more Gohma, and taking away humans for their Human Zoo reminding him of Deus' Karma Fortress being powered by human souls. Their willingness to better themselves for Steven's sake—as well as the fact that Steven himself got into Asura's path once—is the only thing keeping him from shattering them, and given what he's done to Chakravartin, there's no doubt that he can absolutely do so.
      • It's true that the good-aligned deities has its share of folks who have done terrible things, even a Galactic Conqueror, but the Diamonds have it harder due to their greater success in their planetary conquests. As the only other Galactic Conqueror among the Ministry, Kerrigan has been assigned to help the Diamonds get acclimated.
      • The God-Emperor of Mankind has made it clear that should the Diamonds ever betray the GUAG or backstab the Imperium, they will be ground to dust beneath humanity’s boots. Someone has noted that the Emperor is almost not so different from them, except he's more sympathetic and understandable in some ways, but knows better than to say it out loud.
    • The Aparoids were already enemies of the Crystal Gems due to its intent to assimilate Steven. It was natural that they would earn the ire of the Diamonds as well.
    • When it comes to Steven's dad Greg, and therefore the man who won Pink Diamond's heart, there are divisive opinions.
      • Blue Diamond still conceivably keeps a solid friendship, though it's strained after she learned about the circumstances that led to Steven's existence, due to it "killing" Pink Diamond for good, as well as just being grossed out with regards to the process of organic reproduction.
      • For White, it's basically a magnification of Crystal Gem Pearl's own resentment of Greg (before Pearl eventually moved on). After all, it was him who ultimately brought about the end of Pink's existence.
      • The above also applies for Yellow, but it's unknown to what extent.
    • It's not known if White also possesses this power (though it's extremely likely), but the Diamonds possess a Psychic Link with one another on some level, and can even ward off mental psychic attacks.
    • After hearing rumors that Rose Quartz was in the Pantheon, they almost wanted to take off themselves to find her, but Steven convinced them that it might not be a good idea; given all the terrible things they've done to her and Earth, and the fact that her last memories were of when she concieved him, she's been actively avoiding them. However, one of Steven's other friends (Pinkie Pie) thought that this called for an intervention, and tried to convince him to help devise a plan where Rose ends up meeting with them. But he refused, stating that he doesn't want to shoulder any more burdens involving his mother. This only meant that Pinkie will be doing this without Steven, so she instead called her other friends to help with this "family reunion". Of course, the Diamonds were privy to this plan.
      • And so one day, Rose was led by a friend to visit the Ministry of Atonement in possible talks about joining, since her defection to found the Crystal Gems became the stuff of legends, though there was the strange proviso of needing to attend it as Pink Diamond, which she saw no reason to heed, even if most everybody somehow knows thanks to Steven and Pearl. The next thing she knew, she saw the other Diamonds, and they were actually shapeshifted down to her Pink Diamond size. This confusion stunned her long enough for them to approach and give her a big hug, expressing how much they've missed her, how much they regret what they've done to her, and how Steven helped them see the error of their ways.
      • While Rose can tell the sincerity of their claims (especially for White), eons of abuse simply can't go away in just a few minutes, and she made her pain clear as she personally vented her own issues on them, which eventually escalated to yelling, cussing that she learned on Earth, and a large shockwave from herself that would've brought the roof down on the place were it not for Twilight Sparkle and Rose herself. Emotionally expended, the Crystal Gem founder soon departed, saying: "As the saying goes on Earth, there's just too much bad blood between us."
      • Once Rose was gone, after an explanation of the meaning of "bad blood" and some of the expletives, the Diamonds were assured that it isn't a hopeless cause. It took around 4 Earth years for them to be truly reformed like they are today and for the Crystal Gems to not be too wary of them. It'll probably take as much—if not a little more—time for her to start accepting possible mends to their relationship.
  • Exclusive to Yellow Diamond:
    • Her lightning is known to not only one-hit poof gems, but keep them regenerating for days. In regards to mechanical entities she can't just overload, she would likely force a very prolonged shutdown.
    • Was the first of the Diamonds after Pink to get poofed. After regenerating at her temple with her fellow Diamonds and Steven watching, she explained that she had been in a GUAG skirmish against forces from the Galactic Empire when a certain Sith Lord decided to show up, and took his sweet time tormenting her with her own element (if it wasn't actually a case of him merely doing sustained damage) before she lost her Hard Light form. She's been told that it had been a severely demoralizing blow for her Gems, and it took another in the GUAG to rally them and bring her Gem back safely.
    • Post-redemption, she's more focused on reassembling Gems she had shattered (with plans to eventually fix up the Cluster one day) and even doing size or shape modifications to them at their consent. It's not yet known if she can do this to other Hard Light entities or constructs, though. There are talks of possible cooperation with Toa Takanuva and the Powerpuff Girls in this regard.
  • Exclusive to Blue Diamond:
    • While strong in her own right by virtue of being a Diamond (moreso in the face of opposing Gems), it's apparent that she's more reliant on her Emotion Bomb powers, which do affect non-Gems far less than Gems, if at all, as Connie can attest to when Blue and Yellow attacked Earth during Garnet's wedding.
    • Some folks have teased her for not realizing the rebel Rose Quartz sounded just like Pink Diamond. Even if it can be excused as Pink changing her intonation dramatically, the real Rose Quartzes sound distinctly different from the Crystal Gems leader.
    • Post-redemption, rather than force other gems to feel her grief, she's able to make them feel her joy and bliss. Of course, given its limits, it's still less likely to affect non-Gems. Some people have made references to her being a stoner, and eventually came to understand what it means (besides someone who hurls stones) after an explanation from Kerrigan.
    • Got a visit from one Dr. Zalost, who had also suffered depression and had desires to spread it. He also reformed just like her and has means to "force" happiness as well.
  • Exclusive to White Diamond:
    • It's not known how White already knew Pink was alive all these millennia, and identifies Steven as her without being told. It's unclear if she knew Pink faked her shattering and was Rose Quartz all along from the start, figured it out along the way, or found out when Blue and Yellow did from somehow monitoring them. And there's the fact that she seemed to know what a mother and a child were, when no other Gem in Homeworld had any such concept for such relationships usually only found in organic beings like those on Earth. White is not answering any of these questions for the time being, only that she certainly has some level of clairvoyance or telepathy, but as her initial incorrect assumption of Pink proved, she was not omniscient.
    • In regards to her Luminescent Blush of pink, it's not clear as to whether it's a mere imitation of the expression as the Crystal Gems have been seen doing, or if it really was an off-color imperfection of hers.
    • As the progenitor of all Gem-kind, it begs the question as to where White herself came from, and who/what were her precursors. Or if evolution eventually brought her to existence.
    • Crunch dislikes White Diamond specifically because of her possession ability and how she had no qualms about using it on (what he's pretty sure is) her own family. Even if she's since turned over a new leaf, it doesn't change the fact that she still did it.
    • Yes, her self-illusion of her being perfect has since been shattered, but having that rubbed in her face isn't helping matters, even if she has emotionally improved since then. Unfortunately for her, the Perfect Trumpet Thingy is more than willing to just appear in her head and do exactly that, getting past her psychic blocks with no effort. It drives her nuts to no end, as she can't seem to find the thing anywhere.
      • By extension, this also gained her an odd friend in Courage. He finds a giant powerful space goddess struggling with the concept of "not being perfect" that he had to deal with a while back as oddly comforting, while she's boggled and fascinated by this little organic thing that's scared out of his wits most of the time being completely fine with not being perfect, maybe even happy because of it. Courage being the one to approach her in the first place just intensified it. The poor dog doesn't know half of what he's getting into, especially since he's going to have to experience Spinel... Then again, when has he ever?
    • It's rumored that White harbors a significant Shadow that might be present in the TV World. However, due to the lower limit imposed (only Intermediate Deities or lower can acquire Personas, so White's out of luck there as she's a Greater Goddess), not to mention the size of the TV portal, Steven cannot ask the Investigation Team for an exception on White's behalf.
    • Speaking of that, post-redemption, White now allows other Gems to control her body to help with any self-esteem issues they might have, in contrast to her previous power set. Of course, that usefulness is limited in the Pantheon since her power is for the most part Gem-exclusive.
    • As a very chaotic scientist and constant rebel, Rick doesn't like folks calling White a Diamond version of him, and she shares the same sentiment while aware of all the messes he's made.

    Solomon
Solomon, The Divine Possessor of the Rings Of Power (Caster, Grand Caster, King Solomon, The King of Magic, King of Mages, Salmon, Dr. Roman, Romani Archaman, Romani Akiman, Solroman)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/152_solomon_caster_1.png
Dr. Roman
  • Greater God (As Solomon), Quasideity (As Dr Roman)
  • Symbol: Solomon's Ten Rings (As Solomon), His Golden Ring (As Dr Roman)
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: The Archmage, Judgment of Solomon, Just wanting to be Normal, Reduced to a Normal Human Being, Body Hijacked, Mission Control, Adorkable, Cowardly Lion, Nice Guy, Team Dad
  • Domains: Freedom, Affection, Wisdom, Magic, Science, Therapy, Self-Sacrifice
  • Allies: Leonardo Da Vinci, Artoria Pendragon, Shirou Emiya, Rin Tohsaka, Doctor Strange, Most Heroic Spirits in the Pantheon, Good-Aligned Members of the House of Health and Diseases, Issei Hyodo, the House of Food
  • Enemies: Goetia, Nekron, YHVH, Ultron
  • Respected By: All Good-Aligned Members of the House of Magic and Sorcery
  • Feared by: The House of Demons
  • Aloof Allies: Merlin, Gilgamesh
  • Uneasy Around: God, Lucifer
  • Sympathises With: Hank Pym, Tony Stark/Iron Man
  • Solomon ascended to the Pantheon after having activated his first Noble Phantasm Ars Nova to return his gifts to God and thus erase himself from even the Throne of Heroes, in order to weaken Beast I A.K.A Demon King Gotiea enough for Chaldea to defeat it once and for all, while simultaneously forcing the Demon Pillars to self-destruct.
  • Upon becoming aware of Goetia's presence in the Pantheon, Solomon immediately began to make preparations to combat him. While as a last resort Solomon can use Ars Nova to destroy Goetia, due to the mechanics of the Noble Phantasm he is unsure whether the House of Life and Vitality would be able to resurrect him again. He is also unsure how he ended up in the Pantheon due to the same reasons and at best considers it a miracle.
  • Despite Solomon's formidable reputation as a Mage, he prefers to appear around the Pantheon in the form of his Doctor Roman persona; when asked why when he is only as powerful as a Quasidiety in this form, he replied that his happiest memories occurred in this form and that he really didn't care for power.
  • Solomon's temple is not technically located in the Pantheon, it is instead his second Noble Phantasm Ars Paulina, which is his Reality Marble workshop located in the Sea of Imaginary Numbers, it's very existence powered by Solomon's Magic Circuits. As Death in this space does not 'count' in reality, and by expending enough Magical Energy, Solomon can resurrect anyone who dies there without requiring the aid of the House of Life and Vitality.
  • Solomon is highly respected by the House of Magic due to the fact that he founded his world’s western school of Magecraft allowing Humanity to use magic without the aid of Gods.
    • The House of Demons meanwhile fear Solomon for his ability to bind Demons to his service as seen with the Demon Pillars. Though, the higher ranked Demons have noted that Goetia was able to escape his service by simply waiting for him to die which prompted them to set up back-up plans to kill Solomon in the event of their binding; though they do realise that any death will likely be temporary at best.
  • Issei Hyodo was utterly overjoyed to meet him. After all, Solomon was the guy who managed to have over 700 willing wives. In Issei's book, that makes him a true harem king.
  • On the first day of Solomon's ascension to Godhood, he had two visitors, God and Lucifer. Solomon didn't respond well to the latter visit as while God wished to apologise to Solomon for not taking his feelings into account when he was King of Israel and making him feel like he had no freedom, Lucifer wanted to congratulate him on making a wish upon the Holy Grail to be free of his duties and powers and yet willingly devote 10 years of his new life to safeguarding humanity's future. Solomon on his part was unsure how to handle either visit, though he was touched by God's apology.
  • While overjoyed to be able meet Magical Girls in the Pantheon, Solomon continues to ask Magi*Mari questions and receiving cheerfully Nihilistic answers; to this day he refuses to accept that Magi*Mari is actually Merlin.
  • He deeply sympathises with Hank Pym and Tony Stark, after all he knows better than anyone what it's like to have your creation try to destroy Humanity. On a side note, he hates Ultron for these very same reasons.
  • Solomon has a bit of a sweet tooth and as such he enjoys going to the House of Food to slack off.
  • He was intrigued by reports from a group of researchers who were able to produce a ring bearing his name, capable of protecting its wearer against all forms of elemental magic. He's decided to pop by the Schwartzwelt one of these days and assess the ring's worth by himself.
  • He doesn't recognize YHVH as the God that gave him his famous wisdom. The God he knew discussed in good lengths on the preparations of the Singularity at his temple caused by one of his demons Goetia by allowing him to stay in Chaldea as Dr. Romani, and YHVH had no memories of it and even plotted something involving a partnership with Goetia which would be harmful for mankind. Solomon's expression of this in front of Astolfo when he asked about the chances of YHVH manipulating Jeanne d'Arc eventually triggered a majority of Chaldea to take up arms against YHVH, with Solomon considering to take part, but maybe as a Secret Weapon for Chaldea to show respect for free will, one of God's gifts that YHVH tried to curb.

Left to right-Dace, Bort, Merrick, Allotrope
  • Rank: Intermediate Deity (Diancie), Greater Deity (Mega Diancie), Lesser Deities (Carbink)
  • Symbol: A diamond with the Mega Stone sigil inside (Diancie), the jewels embedded in their being (Carbink)
  • Theme Song: Open My Eyes
  • Alignment: Lawful Good, with occasional shades of Chaotic Good (Diancie), Lawful Neutral (Merrick, Bort, Allotrope and Dace)
  • Gender: Sexless, but Diancie identifies as female and the Carbink as male
  • Abilities: Clear Body (Diancie, Merrick and Bort), Magic Bounce (Mega Diancie), Sturdy (Allotrope, Dace)
  • Moves:
    • Diancie: Diamond Storm, Reflect, Moonblast, Ancient Power
    • The Carbink: Power Gem, Stealth Rock, Dazzling Gleam, Sharpen
    • Z-Move: Continental Crush (the Carbink), Twinkle Tackle (Diancie)
  • Portfolios: Gem-Encrusted, Rock-type, Fairy-type, No Biological Sex
  • Domains: Rocks, Fairies, Diamonds (both), Princesses (Diancie)
  • High Priest: Taric
  • Allies: Ash Ketchum, Pikachu, Calem and Serena, Serena (anime version), Xerneas, Steven And The Crystal Gems, Calumon, Rin Tohsaka, Hazel Levesque
  • On good terms with: Cael Cynder and Nibbler (Carbink)
  • Enemies: Team Rainbow Rocket, thieves (except Sly Cooper), Denzel Crocker, The Sleeper, Ghauri, YHVH, The Master (mostly)
  • Opposes: Gem-eaters like Spike and especially Sableye, deities with power over metal
  • Conflicting Opinions: Yveltal (Diancie)
  • The Jewel Pokemon is a peculiar fairy. Formed under deep pressure hundreds of millions of years ago, Carbink is a carbuncle with gems embedded in its body. Though poor offensively, it has excellent defense. They are occasionally found in the excavation of caves. On rare occasions, a mutation can result in the birth of a Mythical Pokemon of a carbuncle, that being Diancie. Typically, it is seen as a princess of sorts and can generate beautiful and glorious pink diamonds.
  • Applies to the lot
    • Despite having a very feminine-looking appearance and being referred to as a "princess" by her Carbink followers, Diancie is genderless. Despite this, everyone still refers to Diancie as a female. The Carbink are similarly genderless, but identify as male what with being servants. Originally being apart, Diancie united with her main four Carbink servants under a single profile. They're native to the Diamond Domain.
    • They tends to stay away from dragon deities since Spike has a steady diet of gems. Spyro the Dragon has commented on the irony of a Fairy-type frightened of dragons more than once. This is especially apparent with Sableye, who despite Fairy types being the line's only weakness predates on Carbink. And their princess looks extremely delectable to the goblin. They really don't like any steel-related deities either, what with the 4x weakness and all...except for Klefki, weirdly enough.
    • The House of Commerce finds the line valuable, something which they're nonplussed with due to the greedier denizens. Smaug wants to add Diancie's servants to his collection, mainly because he finds them easier to deal with. While Dragon types are vulnerable to Fairy-type moves, it's unlikely the same elemental chart would work in their favor against the hoarding greedy dragon. The bejeweled Pokemon are also often targets of Denzel Crocker, who's obsession with FAIRIES! has him regularly try to capture the line. They'd also have the dual purpose of funding his FAIRY! locating technology.
    • As Diancie is capable of creating diamonds, and Carbink have jewels embedded in them. there are greedy deities who'd want to abuse this power. Whenever this happens, Diancie would bring up a shower of diamonds and escape while the kidnapper in question celebrates their newfound treasure... only to have it disappear within minutes. Her servants will use Sharpen and pellet opponents with Power Gem. The Thieves sub-house is the bane of their existence.
    • Yes, they are fairies. Specifically, they are based off the carbuncle. These living gems found themselves getting along with Steven Universe and his friends, given they are generally good-aligned living gems. Calumon is another Carbuncle Creature that the five sometimes converse with. While they are fairies, they don't have much in common with the actual Fairies sub-house, however.
    • The carbuncles often tire of financial greed, which is the usual reason why people are interested in their diamonds. They found Rin Tohsaka's interest in their gems for her magecraft, which she is always running low on, as a welcome request. Diancie and her servants were happy to generate jewels for her to use. Hazel was another good-hearted soul who has use of their gems, whichs she weaponizes by being cursed.
    • Both are very disturbed at the Sleeper for corrupting the land and people through eldritch crystals. Ghauri don't disturb them, but they still don't care for him for being part of Eden despite his friendliness. They were all quite cheesed off at YHVH and Missy for certain events. Missy having a Hazy-Feel Turn isn't enough for them to be remotely close to trusting her again, especially given what a psycho her immediate predecessor and successor are.
  • Applies to Diancie
    • In one universe, Diancie is a rather mischievous princess whose main purpose is to create a Heart Diamond for her kingdom once the current one dies. However, she needed Xerneas's powers to strengthen it, first, so Diancie teamed up with Ash and his friends to search for it. She has an uneasy relationship with Yveltal due to the time where it absorbed the lives of many of her friends, including Pikachu. Diancie is just glad that Yveltal isn't evil, as she spent some time fearing. She was fearful of both Greninja, due to the three of them trying to make off with her. However after he assured her that it was working under orders, she became good friends with the frog.
    • Like many Pokémon, Diancie is capable of Mega Evolution. Unlike many, she was able to Mega Evolve without a Key Stone which brought many theories around. Since then, Rayquaza, Latias and Latios, can also Mega Evolve without a stone, so no one really cares anymore. Homura nearly had a heart attack upon first seeing Diancie in her Mega Form from a distance, thinking that somehow Madoka had gotten her powers back without her knowing and was coming to take revenge for what she did. Ezreal, after scouting her from afar, has started to wonder if Diancie has been secretly granting truly outrageous gem magic to his fellow champ Taric.
    • Like most deities, Diancie changes appearance whenever she's inside Space Paranoids. Uniquely, rather than gaining armor, Diancie's headdress, prongs, rhomboid gem, and the crystal on her bottom rock change color from pink to cyan. She is the only known Pokémon to change appearance in Cyberspace, though it's currently unknown what Diancie would look like in The Grid.
    • A pretty pink princess, Diancie hangs out with other pink princesses in hopes of support for protecting her home. She and Princess Bubblegum had a discussion about how they learned to control and master their elemental powers, being jewel and candy respectively.
  • Applies to the Carbink
    • They were initially brought to the pantheon by Steve digging them up when trying to get diamonds. This was confusing to some because Steve was digging in Reflection Cave, and the four ascended Carbink were native to the Diamond Domain. As it turns out the Carbink who initially ascended under Gem-Encrusted was leaving and they were saying goodbye. Apparently Reflection Cave is also the connection to a Mirror Universe, which has made the area of interest to the House of Space and Cosmos.
    • Sympathetic towards Cael Cynder and Nibbler due to how they have been targeted for their natural valuables. Seems to get along with Reisen as well for being a rabbit fairy-like creature, much like themselves. Johan Anderson seems fond of the gems on Carbink's body, and they like his look.
    • While they serve Diancie, Rarity is the partner of the four Carbink. She's a natural with gem polish and stylish gems, which appeals to them. She has helped with keeping his gems polish, which is usually achieved by their fellows rubbing their soft manes. Well to be more accurate, only one of them at a time is her partner as they alternate and have to keep in mind Diancie. Merrick serves with Rarity on Monday and Friday, Bort on Tuesday and Saturday, Allotrope on Wednesday and Sunday, and Dace on Thursday.

  • Merlin was born in Belialuin, the capital of the wizards, which remained neutral in the conflict between the Goddess Clan and the Demon Clan. She was taken by her father and the magician Gowther on the path of wizardy, acquiring great skill from an early age. As a miraculous child born with infinite magic, the news soon spread in the realms of the goddesses and the demons and both parties tried to put the girl on their side to tip the balance of the war in their favor. The people of Belialuin opposed this, claiming that both the girl and her power were their property. However, against the wishes of her people, Merlin decided to negotiate with the gods of both clans, the Supreme Deity and the Demon King, and said she would follow the one who gave her the best blessing. The Demon King gave her all the knowledge of the dark secret arts of Demon Realm and made her immune to the brainwashing and possession abilities of the goddesses. The Supreme Goddess gave her protection against dark curses and Commandments. However, Merlin was deceiving both gods and turned her back on them after accepting both blessings. Furious, the two gods unleashed their anger against Belialuin, cursing it with fog and death for a thousand days and destroying it with fire and lightning. Merlin was able to escape unharmed, becoming the only survivor of Belialuin. Thousands of years later, Merlin joined the Seven Deadly Sins.
  • Upon her ascension, Merlin was greeted warmly by her fellow Sins. However, she was also perturbed to learn about the presence of the Ten Commandments in the pantheon. Fortunately, the Ten Commandments are rather weary of her, especially Grayroad and Melascula, both of whom had been imprisoned by her inside test tubes.
  • Merlin was very happy to be reunited with Arthur, as the last time she had seen him, he was forced to pierce himself through his own heart with Excalibur. She was also surprised and amused to discover that there is a female version of Arthur and a male version of herself within the pantheon. Many initially suspected that she was the same person as her male counterpart, as he's known to occasionally shapeshift into a woman. However, the matter was cleared up when the two met each other. She has been on good terms with her male counterpart and Artoria ever since.
  • Through Arthur, Merlin was introduced to Lancelot and Gawain. She wasn't sure what to think of Lancelot after hearing about his affair with Arthur's wife, Guinevere, and how he was partially responsible for the fall of Camelot, but managed to get along with him after learning of how he seeks redemption for his past actions. Her interactions with Gawain are a lot more amiable, as she admires his loyalty to Arthur and his chivalry. She is also interested in studying Gawain's powers, as they strongly resemble those of Escanor. However, she also became enemies with both Mordreds, who were rather annoyed to learn that there was another Merlin in the pantheon.
  • Aside from her male counterpart, Merlin also became allies with notable wizards such as Solomon, Gandalf, Albus Dumbledore and Doctor Strange. Solomon drew her interest due to being the creator of his universe's magecraft system. She was intrigued by Gandalf's nature as a Maia, as it reminds her of Elizabeth. She gets along well with Dumbledore and noticed a how they both similarly had a habit of keeping certain information from their allies. She was also impressed by Doctor Strange after learning of how he wasn't born as a wizard but nonetheless managed to become Sorcerer Supreme.
  • Merlin quickly befriended Atsuko "Akko" Kagari, as she admires her love of magic. Sympathising with the girl's struggle in performing magic, Merlin became something of a mentor/big sister figure to Akko, who strongly respects Merlin's talent.
  • Merlin also became allies with Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi, strongly sympathising with what they had gone through. She's also developed a strong dislike for the Incubators, Kyubey and Jubey, for all the misery and crealty they had done towards those that they had made in magical girls. Merlin has expressed an interest in teaming up with Homura and imprisoning the Incubators for use in her research.
  • Harry Potter and his friends were rather surprised to meet a female Merlin, but quickly befriended her and have remained on good terms ever since. She's interested in their use of wands and desires to learn more about wand lore.
  • Merlin quickly became enemies with evil magic users such as Maleficent, Voldemort and Dormammu. She regards Maleficent as a petty tyrant for cursing Aurora due to not being invited. Voldemort wishes to capture Merlin after learning that she can use Aldan to store her soul, but she has thus far managed to foil his attempts. Dormammu views her with contempt due to her being on friendly terms with Dr. Strange, while Merlin herself regards him as being little different from the Demon King and has battled against him alonside Dr. Strange on several occasions.
  • Merlin's opinion of Zeref is somewhat conflicted. On one hand, he created demons and tried to wipe out humanity. On the other hand, she sympathises with his past, appreciates his polite and innocent personality and the two share a mutual desire to learn more about each others' magical powers.
  • Merlin also has a mixed opinion of Gilgamesh. In general, she hates him because of what he did to Artoria and Illya, as well as being a prideful arrogant jerk. She was quite happy to learn of how Shirou Emiya had literally kicked his ass once, which resulted in her forming a friendship with Shirou. However, her opinion of Gilgamesh's much nicer Caster form is much better. Although Gilgamesh as a Caster is still a jerk, she appreciates that his heart is at least in the right place.

  • Their story begins during the Industrial Revolution, which this universe's Alchemists Guild was in very strong opposition. To this end, they resorted to trying to summon demons, among them the Demon King Bael, in order to scare the masses away from relying on technology, and their method involved crystals filled with demon energy called Shards. They infused these Shards to abducted orphaned children, making them Shardbinders, and Miriam and Gebel were among them. These children were raised to fight demons and disciplined to obey the guild. Years later, the time came for the summoning ritual, and the Guild would successfully summon their demon army at the expense of all their Shardbinders, save two. Miriam and Gebel would miraculously survive, he by sheer willpower and fortune and having an exorcist in his ancestry, and she by being put into slumber by the repentant Alfred in order to cut in half the power of the ritual, thus denying at least the summoning of Bael. The Guild's plan was a colossal backfire as their intended plan did not come to fruition (and caused a calamity), the Church (after quelling that calamity) executed its higher-ups, and the remnants would be hunted down in their own Guild by none other than Gebel himself (though Alfred would escape before then). The last waking Shardbinder vanished after that, Miriam continued sleeping, and the Guild apprentice Johannes—who was close to the two—studied the effects of the shards with Dominique Baldwin, an agent of the Church, and predicted that Miriam would wake in 10 years.
    • Just as that time came, Gebel returned, brought a castle called the Hellhold with him, and summoned a legion of demons to ravage Earth in revenge for what mankind has done to the Shardbinders so long ago. With Miriam awake, she, Johannes, and Dominique (the former two on a galleon, the latter separately) set off to Arvantville, which was close to the Hellhold. As the only other Shardbinder left, Miriam has to be the one to put a stop to Gebel, and the two had even made a promise long ago that if either of them lost their way, the other would stop them. On the way, they were beset by demons, and upon vanquishing them, their Shards forced themselves into Miriam, granting her their powers, but also running the risk of the crystals overtaking her body though this is put into question given the source of this factoid. However, upon Miriam and Gebel first meeting each other again after so long, it seems he's forgotten that promise, and wants Miriam to join him so they can sequester themselves away from mankind. Naturally, she refused, and he dared her to ask him again after absorbing more Shards before departing.
    • Throughout her journey, she would be forced to absorb Shards from slain demons to acquire their powers, cross paths with Guild remnant and Johannes' master Alfred who seems obsessed with reclaiming the Liber Logaeth, cross blades with the Oriental demon hunter Zangetsu (and eventually earn his trust), help villagers with their woes, trade with Johannes, Dominique, and a few other kooky benign demons for wares, supplies, and services. All the while, Gebel waited, hoping Miriam would see things his way and join her side.
    • In the end, the True End where Gremory is outed as being the one actually controlling Gebel, he's just bait for Miriam who's the true target the entire time, as well as Dominique being revealed to have been working against Miriam all along, Gebel returned to his senses and thanked Miriam only to fully crystallize in the end, Miriam put a stop to the real mastermind Gremory (with Zangetsu's help), the woman behind her Dominique, who sought to summon Bael in order to kill God due to losing faith in Him, then had the Hellhold sent back from whence it came by Johannes following instructions left by Alfred.
  • While there's an alternate tale featuring almost all the main cast where Gebel does survive, this Miriam and Gebel come from one timeline, and following their ascension is a Tear Jerker of a reunion given there was no way to save Gebel from death. Still, they have Ghost Memories of that timeline, which can be confusing given that Gebel and Alfred are still alive in that mortal realm* and Dominique isn't secretly evil, as well as the ability to Mascotify.

  • Applies to both:
    • With the help of Johannes and some of Alfred's suggested improvements before his mortal passing, Miriam no longer has to worry about the Shards inside her from overtaking her body, and the same privilege is now applied to Gebel after his resurrection, to the state he was in before Gremory abandoned him. All the Shards they've acquired thus far is all that will be available: there will be no additional Shards in the Pantheon, and both wouldn't have it any other way.
    • In terms of their residency, Miriam and Gebel's temple takes the form of Arvantville where Miriam stayed during her battle against the demons, and a few elements of the Hellhold, including Gebel's throne room, O.D.'s library after Miriam ended up taking him in as a servant when she forgot to return a certain book to him before wrapping things up with Gremory, and he engaged her in a battle that she just barely won, and Todd's room. The latter elements are hidden away so as to not distress the villagers, and Gebel's status as instigator of the incident is kept a secret from them; all they know about Gebel is that he's a friend of Miriam, and that he has a terrible affliction. Johannes resides at the village with Alfred, who's Back from the Dead thanks to the Pantheon. Miriam was surprised to see the Demon Barber among her Gebel's heralds. He responds that he still needs her help to cut 666 hair styles, and that such a feat was unresolvable during their time at the Hellhold. Hopefully he'll have better luck in the Pantheon, and hopefully she might discover more hairstyles for him to cut (for her or anyone else who visits and isn't afraid of him).
    • As for what Mascotify is, it's a (non-Shard powered) ability that transforms them into an invincible box that hovers around another person as long as they're within a set distance, and back at the "escorter's" present location. This way, the "carried" can be escorted around difficult areas easier without worrying about getting hurt or the risk of crumbling bridges, but their life is now linked to the "escorter" during this, and their death would also mean the death of the "carried".
    • When it comes to dealing with people who think being altered with anything non-human automatically makes someone less than human, or when faced with prejudice for involuntary transformation, Gebel has some words of wisdom he once told Miriam when she had lost her will to live before he snapped her out of it. As a result, they have dim opinions on those who blame the victims for their condition, harbor empathy for the altered who still hold on to their humanity however they can, and hold contempt for those who either use their condition as an excuse for terrible things or if they willingly throw away their capacity to care for others. Gebel's words were as follows.
Gebel: If we ask for the demons' power, then we're monsters. But if people force us to take it, then our power doesn't make us good or bad. Our choices do. That freedom of choice is proof we're human.
    • On top of corroding their bodies, Shards also make them susceptible to Demonic Possession. With plenty of powerful demons in the Pantheon, this means both Gebel and Miriam are at risk if they ever take on any of the powerful ones. The only reason Miriam dodged those particular bullets back then is because Gremory—once she was ousted from Gebel—pursued the Liber Logaeth, then was sealed in a room by Zangetsu before taking him away, and then Miriam used the demon hunter's sword to send her back to whence she came, and Bael already took Dominique as a host by the time he encountered Miriam. As a result, it's now become ironic that despite their powers meant for slaying demons, Miriam and Gebel are unable to go out and do that without proper countermeasures first, of which they will hopefully find in the Pantheon.
    • Given their story is apparently a Spiritual Successor to the Castlevania series, it was inevitable that Miriam and Gebel would be approached by the Belmont Clan and their allies. And given the fact that Alucard is one of their allies, they all (with varying degrees of caution, or full trust) accepted the male Shardbinder after Miriam vouched for him. Naturally, this made them enemies with the Clan's archenemy Dracula as well. Speaking of Alucard, during a duel between him and Miriam, it was apparent that for some reason she already knew how to fight someone like him. She explained about O.D. and how she had to fight him after forgetting to return one of his books.
    • Miriam's first encounter with Shovel Knight ended up as a clash, because she had assumed he was a stray small Shovel Armor demon, and because an Itazura Griefer deceived her for laughs. She then assumed he was some sort of elite variant after he started using his Relics as well as him asking her why are they fighting. It was only through interference by Shield Knight was the misunderstanding cleared, and Miriam profusely apologized for it. Shovel Knight let the matter slide, complimented Miriam's skill, and they parted ways as allies. They were easy to convince of Gebel's turn back to good, given Shield Knight was similarly brainwashed before into the Enchantress.
    • Another fight borne from a misunderstanding came from Dante Sparda, and actually mirrored the first time Miriam met Zangetsu. However, this fight would slow down after Miriam discovered that Dante clearly wasn’t taking the fight seriously and was almost literally playing around (his cocky grin making it more evident), and she made her frustration clear. They had a brief talk after that, and they eventually got a better understanding of one another. Dante also found Miriam's mastery over numerous different weapons fun and entertaining. Afterward, Dante decided to introduce her and Gebel to other Demon Slayers... as soon as a countermeasure for Demonic Possession is found (and they eventually do).
      • Gebel's actions under Gremory's brainwashing brought chilled receptions from these other demon slayers, and required a lot of convincing from Miriam that he's on the up and up now. The Doom Slayer's helmet-obscured glare unnerved even the male Shardbinder, but he understood his words given a demon also helped him. Bayonetta kind of understands Gebel's situation given her Father Balder was also under Mind Control all along before being freed from it by her, though there was also time travel involved on his end, so it's a bit confusing. Princess Sakuna is more concerned with Gebel's ability to summon demons than whether or not he (or Miriam) can be trusted, but she'll hold the female Shardbinder to her word. The Winchester brothers and Castiel—given all their troubles with demons (not to mention Crowley entangling himself in their affairs and them in his several times over)—have difficulty trusting either of them, even Miriam, despite her best efforts, though they won't stop them when fighting the same foes. Flynn trusts them, and himself summons demons anyway. The Demi-Fiend doesn't have any particular opinions for or against them, but wishes to test his might against them one day. Hoss Delgado, for all his boneheadedness, shares the same opinions as the harvest-war goddess; doesn't quite trust Gebel, but will hold Miriam to her word that he's not evil anymore, and they're fine as long as neither of them summon any demons around him.
    • Despite no longer having to worry about corruption from their Shards, that doesn't mean certain parties (mostly from the Houses of Knowledge and Magic) won’t be interested in them, and may try to use them, or capture them for experiments. Most attempts from evil or insensitive people have usually ended with a plethora of demons from Gebel coming their way, and neither he nor Miriam are slouches by any measure in fending off personal attacks. That's not to say there aren't any benign interested parties who wish to learn about Shards, but most of them know better than to press the subject given how traumatic and disastrous their childhoods were. On a lighter note, Marisa Kirisame has been seen eyeing them whenever they're in battle, trying to learn to emulate their techniques for herself.
      • Merlin's also expressed great interest in them given his origins. In fact, their Shards are something he considers unique and new, something he hasn’t seen or experienced before. As a reward for this new experience, he provided the Shardbinders with an enchantment that would ward off Demonic Possession as a result of their Shards. It did take the form of a Shard for each of them however, but unlike all other Shards, these ones did not cause any pain upon insertion. And with Merlin’s status as powerful wizard and seer, he has learned everything others know, will know, and also things they will never know about Shards from a first glance. Merlin also complimented their Herald Johannes in his skills in alchemy, successfully creating and replicating powerful weapons, like the Carnwennan.
    • On top of malicious demons, the Shardbinders eventually had to contend with zealous angels as well, particularly those under YHVH and Paradiso. And in more complicated matters, the latter's counterparts the Demons of Inferno also get involved, and they usually target Miriam more given how many demons she's slain while also trying to curry favor with Gebel, who rebuffs them at every turn. And while Dominique was a traitor to her faith, those overzealous in their belief in God that lead to depraved acts are no better, such as Judge Frollo for his lust and his desire to purge gypsies, and William Stryker for claiming oppression from people different from ordinary humans. Alexander Anderson however is a unique case; he wishes to strike down Gebel for the whole Hellhold affair, but as long as she's not with him, he's perfectly fine with Miriam's presence given how she not only laid Gebel to rest in the mortal realm, but stopped the heretic Dominique as well from successfully bringing Baal to Earth.
    • As for working alongside people of the Catholic Church, given Miriam did work on their behalf assuming Dominique wasn't pulling a solo operation unbeknownst to even Johannes, similar problems were encountered as with the demon hunters given Gebel's actions. Given he has an ally demon, Rosette already has confidence in Miriam that Gebel really won't turn against them. The same goes for Elsa la Conti and Clarice di Lanza, the latter of whom is a demon herself. The Imperium of Man is better off avoided entirely due to their fanaticism.

  • Exclusive to Miriam:
    • Is well-versed in all sorts of weapons: kicking, daggers, swords, clubs, greatswords, axes, staves, spears, whips, and firearms. Her bullets for the last can range from mundane hollow-points to elemental or diamond-made, and even if she runs out (which it won't when Miriam has the Recycle Hat on), she has the Infinite Rounds, though they're much weaker. As such, whenever she's honing her skills in the House of Weapons, you can find her in just about any of its Halls.
    • She can empathize with those who lost their faith in God after suffering great loss, such as Setsuna F. Seiei (who accepted her compassion and decided it wouldn't be bad to be friends), Mal Reynolds (who saw no problem with her, as long as she has no reason to intervene in his crew's... way of life), Revy (who rebuffed her, but sees no reason to antagonize Miriam any further than that), and Magneto (who accepts her sympathies, but warns that they may sometimes end up clashing), but it still doesn't excuse turning against their own kind and/or setting loose demons, as Dominique Baldwin had. She also opposes those who seek godhood for selfish reasons or wish to kill gods. Unless said gods are malevolent, such as YHVH or Chuck Shurley.
    • Wants to make sure that if someone needs to use a Waystone or some other one-use teleportation item that doesn't already have a set destination locked (such as a Scroll of Town Portal), the user should have their destination in the forefront of their mind and nothing else. She's had to deal with someone who got lost a few more times due to getting distracted. Miriam also takes great care to return any borrowed books and makes sure others do the same. Orlok Dracule's boss fight taught her the hard way, even though it did grant her the Standstill Shard, as well as O.D.'s services.
    • As someone who's also had to fight against a brother figure who did everything for them but lost themselves to the power they have, in addition to coming to their senses just as they were defeated and passing away, Miriam got along well with Shanoa. They also discovered that they both help townspeople in their adventures, use shards/glyphs embedded in their skin, and were both taken in as a child by a demon/dracula-worshipping organization who tried to use her to summon forth said demons/dracula at the cost of her life (and thankfully didn't come to pass). Miriam also got along well with Soma Cruz given their ability to acquire abilities from enemies (souls for Soma, Shards for Miriam), their expertise with multiple melee weapons, and their antagonists trying to urge them to absorb as many as possible so they can become more powerful, and while their special abilities is seen as a weapon that can be used for evil, they both wanted nothing to do with it and use it to fight for good. They also both have alternate fates where they fell to the dark side.
    • Another notable Shard of hers is Summon Chair, where she does exactly that, and can spawn several at a time. They're not just for show, for they can regenerate mana while one is seated on such a chair, but these chairs are temporary and will disappear when Miriam leaves the area or she dismisses it manually. When she has to wait for any reason, and is unable to find an adequate seat or needs to replenish her mana, Miriam will use this Shard instead, and may be convinced to summon more for others, though she doesn't yet know if their restorative properties will apply to their magic if they have any.
    • When in a pinch, and there's a lot of blood spilled, she has the Blood Steal Shard to heal herself with that blood. Unlike other blood-related magics, it cannot affect blood still inside the body; it has to be already spilt. This makes battles against her in the House of Slaughter or in slaughterhouses in her favor as there is plenty to absorb. On occasion, the Aerospace Sanitation Janitor appreciates her company if she has the time to clean up blood (leaving just the rest of the junk), making their job easier even for just a day.
    • Was once read a tale back as a child that's similar to her own adventure, except the protagonist was a redheaded girl named Aurora. It was just a story on Miriam's side of the tale, but what of on the Child of Light's end? According to Aurora at least (who regarded Miriam with caution at first, having only met her Doppelganger before), this tale rings true on her side, taking place just after she vanquished Queen Umbra, and crossed the mirror back to her home kingdom, which was about to be swallowed by floodwater. She was taken to this realm instead, her friends turned into Shards, and Aurora regressed to a child once more. Still, by fighting the demons of the castle, she slowly regained her lost power, and eventually stopped Dominique and Bael, and on doing so was spirited (with her friends back to normal) back to her intended destination; her kingdom in Austria, in time to evacuate her people to Lemuria. As for the two Shardbinders, Aurora gets along with them well, even Gebel (since she somehow deduced his real situation), but also laments that his fate (and she was aware of his…controlled state) was no different in Aurora's side of the story than in Miriam's.
  • Exclusive to Gebel:
    • Despite his redemption, his faith in humanity is yet to be entirely restored due to all the sins the Alchemist Guild committed, and mostly keeps to himself unless he's accompanying Miriam, or when receiving visitors who wish to see him personally. An Anonymous Group that consisted of those who regained faith in people, such as Hotel Transylvania owner Count Dracula, Joshua, AZ, and Azmuth (when he has the time), have thought of inviting him over to talk about this. With encouragement from Miriam, he decided to accept these invitations.
    • When it comes to what Shards he has, besides those he showed during his boss fight, given all the demons he's summoned, it's highly likely that he has most of the same Shards as Miriam, though some that she has are definitely unavailable to him as they are either optional, or are acquired after Gremory was outed. Speaking of summoned demons, he is still able to do that, having first known to have done it when he hunted down the remainder of the Alchemists Guild that had experimented on him and Miriam so long ago. As for weaponry, it's not known if he's even a Multi-Melee Master like Miriam, given all the training Shardbinders are subjected to, but he usually defaults to a sword, or sending out bats from his cape.
    • As someone else who suffered abusive experiments from those who made him who he is, and eventually rebelled against them before turning on all humanity for a while before being convinced to abandon that line of thinking, Gebel actually finds a kindred soul in Mewtwo. The Genetic Pokémon can see this too and finds his words to Miriam wise even if it can't apply to Mewtwo himself since he never was human.
    • Having heard of him from Bayonetta, Gebel has considered visiting Father Balder, but the stances of their powers made him concerned given the Church's stance against demons and Dominique may have been working alone when she concocted that plot with Gremory. However, Balder himself had no problems seeking him out after hearing of the Shardbinders through the proverbial grapevine. After all, he did fall in love with and marry an Umbra Witch, so the concept of someone benevolent who consorts with demons isn't foreign.
    • Given what Gremory did to him, and her pride in her heritage stained by that act against him, Rias Gremory made contact with him and wanted to apologize for what Gremory did and forced him to do. Gebel in turn had a few problems the first time around, in a combination of trauma and horror of what happened to him and with what he did because of Gremory, but at the same time he's more upset with himself since Rias had no involvement with what happened, and recognizes her to be a literal different demon, so he shouldn't even place her in the same category, and eventually warmed up to her.

  • Rival: Rei Shingetsu/Vector
  • Enemies: Sora Shiun'in, Saiou "Sartorius" Takuma, Jin Kisaragi, the Incubators, the Trollkaiger, Johan Liebert, anyone who harms children.
  • Conflicting Opinions: Yubel, Homura Akemi
  • Ascended after one day he decided to visit his "best friend" Judai in the Pantheon. He did so by having summoned all Crystal Beasts to bring forth the mighty Rainbow Dragon to transport him there. Everyone was surprised that was even possible.
  • It should be noted that his method of dimension-hopping people with the Rainbow Dragon usually works by leaving behind the user (read: him) and the reason he could go to the Pantheon was because he was only transporting himself.
  • "He's just Jaden, with a southern accent". That was what everyone said about Johan/Jesse by the time of his ascension. In reality, when shove comes to push, Johan and Judai are very different. Where Johan is snarky yet very selfless (To the point of it being ridiculous); Judai is oblivious to many things, impulsive and selfish. They still are very close regardless but Johan can't help but facepalm whenever he remembers what Judai did in his name that time in the Different Dimensions.
    • He also facepalmed when he heard about what happened at the "Great Upheaval", feeling that Homura is behaving like Judai but worse. Homura herself just replied that he would have spared his friend from the bother of going that route if he stopped making Judai worry about him.
  • His Sapphire Pegasus (and him, by extension) get along very well with the Equestria deities in the Pantheon. In particular, he likes hanging out with Rainbow Dash (he finds her Sonic Rainbooms very awesome), Rarity (he loves her designs) and Celestia (due to both sharing a love for pranks). Though lots of eye-rolling and laughter ensued when they first heard him calling Sapphire a "Pegasus" since the equine is actually an alicorn.
  • A bit of a trickster, as he loves "trolling" people, whether it is a friend or a Dark Messiah of an Eldritch Abomination. He once showed it off when he came in his old bondage costume on request of Plutia for the lulz.
  • Due to coming from a long chain of Expies (He is one to Judai, who's one to Yugi and Jonouchi, he fills the same best friend position as Jonouchi, and is also a Expy to Kaworu Nagisa) and the chain is continuing up to this day, many have wondered why he didn't claim the title first. Johan just said that he doesn't care much for that position and prefers that Syrma and Plutia have it instead.
  • Incidentally, mention his sucessors in the "best friend position" at your own peril. You might get away with mentioning Johnny/Bruno/Dark Glass/Vizor/Antimony, he definitely doesn't like it when someone reminds him of Rei Shingetsu/Vector, Sora Shiun'in and Dennis Macfield. Especially the former, since he really tarnished his legacy in spite of his redemption. The fact they remind him of Vector is the reason why he opposes the Trollkaiger (plus they give "trolling" such a bad rep).
  • Johan's Amethyst Cat gets along with Sailor Moon's friend Luna. He also gets along with Serena, due to the hilarity of both being Expies that have appeared right next to the original (Johan is this to Judai and Serena is this to Minako). Though she wonders if his Rainbow Dragon has any relation with the Silver Crystal, due to that time it got broken in seven pieces.
  • Doesn't know what to make of Yubel after seeing her in the Pantheon. While he has forgiven Judai for what he did, he finds the idea of fusing with that crazy demon as demented. At the very least, he is grateful that she hasn't tried anything. The same cannot be said about Kyubey, who sounds so frighteningly similar to the spoilered individual, looks similar to his dear Carbuncle Ruby, planned to harm Madoka and made Homura do what she did; which strikes him as being way too similar to what happened back in the Different Dimensions. He simply can't stand that bunnycat.
  • Unlike many of the Yugioh gods, he has tried to make the Japanese gods call him by his dub name Jesse. At first this was chalked up to Johan being Johan but later he revealed that he simply doesn't want to be confused with Johan Liebert, whom he considers as being far more monstrous than the Duel Spirits he often hangs out with.
    • However, he doesn't know what to make of the other Anderson in the Pantheon.
  • For the record, he does remember that one time he used an Insect Deck. But he was ascended for his magical Crystal Beasts Deck from his original appearance. He doesn't seem to mind bugs though. In fact, he often goes to the House of Beasts to catch some bugs (or to hang out with Fluttershy).
  • Has some followers who believe that he is the reincarnation of Julius Caesar, the one who found the Crystal Beasts before losing them and that's why they chose him. But naaah, that can't be true.
    • Though this brought the atention of a certain Nero, who really bought into the theory before personally meeting him. In spite of this, they have become friends and Nero has become a new common "rival" the few times she learns how to duel (Before inevitably forgetting about the skill).

  • The Alola region's path to being champion is a lot different from most other Pokemon regions. Along with a trial or two, each island has an Island Kahuna chosen by the guardian deity. Tapu Lele and Akala Island has this in the form of Olivia. A shapely, kind-hearted and powerful trainer, she specializes in Rock-type Pokemon. Her ace in the hole is the Dusk Form Lycanroc. Later on she became part of the Elite 4 Professor Kukui founded.
  • Olivia is decked out in jewelry, and this isn't just a fashion statement-she owns a jewelry and accessory store in her hometown of Konikoni City. You can also buy some evolutionary stones, and one fossil per customer. She's made her temple that very store, and has opened it to serve as the pantheon's jewelry store. She was very happy to learn of the Mythical Pokemon Diancie, being both a Rock type Pokemon and capable of naturally producing gemstones.
  • Her expertise with jewelry made her an asset for Rarity, along with Rarity being a fashion designer. Keeps an eye out for Spike since he eats gems, but isn't too concerned since he behaves. She's more worried about the mischievous Sableye stealing and eating her products.
  • Smaug was interested in her jewelry, given he has never come across things like evolutionary stones and wondering if he could strengthen his hide with them. Olivia attacked him like he was a significantly stronger Pokemon, and her attacks were ineffective. Fortunately his flame breath retained its lack of effectiveness against her Rock Pokemon. Smaug was chased off by other members of the House of Costumes, while Ripto began pilfering evolutionary stones in the chaos to help fuel his own magical spells. She wasn't amused by these turn of events.
  • Her ascension was helped thanks to Professor Kukui. Tapu Lele helped, given Olivia is its patron Kahuna. She's friendly with all the Rock type Pokemon in the pantheon, who she sees as rugged and oddly enough adorable. She was especially happy to see Probopass, given she had one of them on her own team. Olivia has been using the House of Earth and Rock for training her Pokemon more. She was happy to meet Geb, due to him being a benevolent Rock Monster.
  • Has a bunch of Stufful dolls in her home, along with an actual Stufful. They're popular with single women. Along with her fondness for jewelry and pink clothes, she's pretty girly. She was horrified to learn of SCP-1048, and what it can do and make. She considers Lotso despicable as well. She was happy to see there's a good bear, Winnie the Pooh, in the pantheon. Her herald and ace is the Midnight Form of Lycanroc (Midday Form in the anime), and is hoping to get him in the pantheon one day. Experience with the Rockruff line has led her to get along well with other wolves, like Grey Wolf Sif and Zingore.
  • She and Ned Stark also get along, both because of the wolf symbolism and their responsibilities as Lord and Kahuna respectively. Ned advises her to cover up if she wants to visit the North, it's far colder than Alola. She's also friendly with Lilo and Stitch, given they are heroic figures from Hawaii, of which Alola is heavily based on. Seems interested in the different experiments, noticing that they're similar to Pokemon. Sparky could really help out her home town's light house.
  • Deeply disturbed by Ragyo Kiryuin. Lusamine(original Sun and Moon games) proved similar to her, being a public philanthropist seeking to turn the region into a place cosmic horrors would be free to cause havoc. Except Ragyo is far worse since she doesn't even have the excuse of being under More than Mind Control and wishes to betray ALL humanity despite originally being human. She keeps away from the House of Otherness Abominations.
  • Olivia is the youngest Kahuna who was chosen and didn't inherit the job. She insists she's just an average girl. She's not as normal as she claims. Also, don't call her ma'am.
  • Has found herself fawned over by a fellow Rock-Type Specialist named Brock. Surprisingly, she reciprocates those feelings as well. Gods are absolutely ecstatic to ship these two together.
