    General
Popuko and Pipimi are capable of Breaking the Fourth Wall because they know they're in a fictional series, and every skit is reality rewriting itself.
  • The lyrics of the anime's opening, POP TEAM EPIC, details the story of a person aware that they are trapped in a world that is constantly "remaking itself," and how they find solace in knowing that one other person will meet them in the next world, and still decide to keep moving forward if only to meet them again and again until they both find a way to escape. Some of the wording feels like a Purple Prose way of describing living in a 4-koma from the fictional character's perspective, such as the line about being "stuck in a miniature garden with no space to move." Essentially, Popuko and Pipimi (or perhaps only one of them, possibly Pipimi) are aware that they are in a fictional series, and every time a skit ends, the world changes itself to create the next one, with the only constant being the two of them. They are both trapped like this and have no power to change it, only able to play along until it ends somehow.

    Season 1 final episode
The final episode will be one of three things:
  • Literally every single skit will have a different set of voice actors
  • A full-length Hoshiiro Girldrop episode, just to throw everyone off
  • A Up the Real Rabbit Hole episode, reflecting the themes in the opening's lyrics
  • Considering that this image has pretty much given hints about all the episodes's Pop Team Story Segments (One example being the Rockabilly Pipimi and Popuko foreshadowing episode 9's PTS segment), The only that remains is the golden Pipimi and Popuko. My guess is that the final Pop Team Story will probably revolve around an award show of some kind.
    • Jossed all above.

There will be one final Pop Team Dance segment to close out the final episode
  • Confirmed.

Episodes 13- 14 (special) and Season 2 in the English dub
How the dub will handle the special
Episode 13 will consist of the Funimation actors we're familiar with, but Episode 14 on the other hand... will consist of celebrity guest voice actors (IE. Tara Strong, John DiMaggio, etc.). It's also possible that they'll possibly record 4 versions of the episodes to coincide with the TV specials, and use different studios for each version. It's rather unlikely, but a man can dream...

Feel free to post your ideas for possible combinations below.

    Season 2 (both dubs)
Season 2 will have an episode where Popuko and Pipimi will be voiced by the same person
  • Knowing this show, it could happen.
    • Confirmed in Season 2 Episode 7, which comprises a single Bob Team Epic sketch performed live by the producer AC-Bu. While Part A has the two AC-Bu guys doing the voices like usual, Part B is literally just Kōichi Yamadera (Jim Foronda in the dub) dubbing over the entire performance, meaning he voices not just the protagonists (whose appearances are admittedly brief here) but every single extra character and the sound effects all by himself.
Season 2's finale will finally bring the female and male sides together
