Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@Crimson As per the rules:

  • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup]s means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
Which means both of them had 3 thumbs for one week.

[up] Oh I see. I was double-checking just in case, but yeah, you can post post the profile onto its designated page if you want.

  • Victini the Victory Pokémon is a Mythical Pokémon from the region of Unova. This Psychic/Fire is called such for a good reason: containing unlimited energy that it can share with people, it's said that Victini can grant anyone victory. Its ability, Victory Star, boosts the accuracy of itself and its allies. Victini has a lot of the "V for victory sign" in its design; its ears are a V shape, it makes the V sign and has the signature move V-Create. In the main timeline Victini was put in Liberty Garden for its own protection from greedy humans, like Team Plasma.
    • Another well-known depiction of Victini, was born and raised in the Kingdom of the Vale and friend of the king who's sons would tame Reshiram and Zekrom. However they went to war over different views, so their father moved the Sword of the Vale to a nearby mountain with Victini's help to stop the Dragon force from destroying Unova. Sadly he couldn't stop Victini from being sealed in Eindoak Town for a millennium. A descendant of the People of the Vale, Damon, tried to use Victini to return the Sword back to the Vale, but since moving said castle could result in her death, Ash and his friends had to put a stop to this. The out of control Dragon force flung the castle into space, so Victini saved Ash and co with V-create, destroying the corrupted pillars of protection and gaining her freeedom.
  • Identifying as female, the Trope Pantheon's Victini is a mix of her anime and game incarnation. This has the curious effect of Victini remembering both her service in the Kingdom of the Vale, and being protected in Liberty Garden; the latter is a clear analogue for the Liberty Island that the Statue of Liberty is found on. The fact that Victini is from the equivalent of New York City caught the attention of none other than Theodore Roosevelt, a New York native and governor before becoming vp then president. Knowing the evil out there who would exploit her powers and equally impressed by them, he used his political influence to increase protection for her. Fellow New Yorker Alex was interested in helping her as well, mainly seeing it as a mix of "the right thing to do" and comparing his home to Unova.
  • Back in the day Team Plasma tried to take Victini from Liberty Garden. Being the true leader and the epitome of the selfish hypocrisy in the team, Ghetsis was high on Victini's hit list. J and Giovanni are major enemies of hers because they sell and exploit rare and powerful Pokémon, but Ghetsis happens to be closer and more interested in her. N mused that while the reason Victini was isolated is what his adoptive father would try to exploit so he thinks Humans Are Bastards, a human still made a garden to protect them so it's more a lesson that Humans Are Flawed. Because of his love of Pokémon N is protective of Victini. She was impressed that he managed to gain the trust and capture one of the Tao trio.
  • Having been sealed away for one reason or another, Victini holds a modicum of pity towards the Minotaur. Granted, his unnatural existence means keeping him locked up or just putting him out of his misery is the preferable option, but it speaks more for her empathetic nature. Less controversially, Victini is friendly with Rudolph because she feels he was treated unfairly for his red nose when he ultimately proved himself valiant. The House of Commerce speculates Victini was sealed for a good reason beyond her own safety; if she can truly produce unlimited energy, the impact on energy-based industries with her around could be catastrophic.
  • Her powers, V-shaped ears and just showing the V-sign in official portraits are why she is the official goddess of the V-Sign. Some have doubted the claim any trainer who wields Victini will always win, especially when you consider the possibility of two Victini fighting one another...unless of course that isn't an option. Though she's still a popular figure among the House of Sports, the Court of the Gods act a lot stricter when it comes to her interactions with the House of Sports or Gaming because they feel her powers would count as cheating. A more legal use of her powers is aiding those within the Hall of Aim and Skill; the gameplay attributes of her Victory Star ability is boosting her allies' accuracy. She'll accept aiding people there in their aim, if it means she gets to have macarons. Her ability of Victory Star is why she's valued among XCOM, in order to aid in their legendary accuracy.
  • Victini has shown to get along with Sora and Gentaro very well, due to their own cheerful personalities, especially towards their (many) friends. Gentaro has taught Victini how to do his signature handshake and they tend to give off a V-Sign whenever they play together. Any friend of Gentaro's is a friend of Victini, so Victini has been introduced to the Avatars of Friendship and travels with them whenever they go out to befriend others. Unfortunately, Bayley heading off into a Face–Heel Turn has caused problems with the Avatars. The Kamen Rider Club were interested in seeing Victini up close, with Miu, Tomoko and Yuki getting into a fight to see who would be the first to feed her macarons. Ryusei Sakuta finds Victini to be adorable too, even though he won't admit it out loud.
  • A Psychic/Fire type, Victini's signature move is V-Create. It is an immensely powerful Fire move, but causes Victini's speed and both defense stats to drop by a stage. The explosive power of the move has some wonder if Victini is meant to be like a nuke going off. With its limitless energy and guaranteeing victory, some speculate its analogous to nuclear power. She would rather not think about it or consider herself destructive. The Lich has considered her potential for destruction and believes zombifying her to serve as his minion would be worth his time, and naturally she wants nothing to do with him. The Lich embodying a nuclear bomb seems to have started his interest in her.
  • Surprisingly for someone like him Zeus has a real soft spot for Victini. The Mythical Pokémon reminds him of one of his and Athena's faithful attendant Nike. She is the goddess of victory, as Victini is the Pokémon of victory. Being the bastion of compassion she is, Hestia convinced the two of them to be on their best behavior around the Mythical so that she will aid them whenever they're the "hero" or "good" part of Anti-Hero and Good Is Not Nice. This includes not getting mad they can't have Victini as a partner when she's already allied with Gentaro. As a Fire type Pokémon she was interested in Hestia's own powers over fire, and was pleasantly surprised to see fire be used so comforting.
  • Because of her Fire type Victini has a minor position in the Hall of Fire and Heat. Some of the members there intimidate her, though: she thinks Ragnaros is a bit too zealous when it comes to burning things, and Surtr is flat out insane in her eyes. The Fire Giant simply replied "I prefer the term fatalistic". The Lovecraftian entities representing the Cold Flames also creep her out, mainly because they're such an unnatural antithesis to fire as she both knows and witnesses. Both Ragnaros and Surtr found her concern one-sided, as they were impressed by her potent pyromancy; with 180 base Attack, V-Create is the strongest non-Z move Fire type attack (and given STAB, is effectively stronger than Explosion).
  • As Victini can give power to other Pokémon and it is said that trainers with Victini can always win, she is popular among the House of Sports. While she's fond of good gods in said house, she's creeped out by Paul London who thinks that Victini is "The White Rabbit" that leads the Rabbit Tribe even though 1) she's not a rabbit and 2) she's not whitenote . Victini's response was to get Brian Kendrick to put Paul London into the BURNING HAMMER to shut him up. Paul eventually stopped chasing after her when he found the true White Rabbit...and subsequently sacrificed people to appease him. Now she wants nothing to do with this creep.
  • Her dislike of being compared to a rabbit only increased after Elmer Fudd assumed she was a rabbit and went out hunting. Unsurprisingly he was outsmarted by the Mythical, who actually came to feel a bit bad for him due to how much of an Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain he is. Bugs Bunny was somewhat interested in the "not-really-a-rabbit" due to her luck powers. Victini's bad luck with rabbits eventually stopped as she wisely learnt enough about the Killer Rabbit before daring to intrude on its territory. Not that she couldn't fight the Killer Rabbit, but it's best to be safe than sorry.
  • As her abilities to bring about victory count could be said to count under probability manipulation, she is interested in the House of Luck and Fortune and how it may relate to her. That said, there might be some exaggeration at her claims of ensuring victory. There doesn't seem to be evidence against the unlimited/infinite energy, which would probably be akin to the infinite energy drive Android 17 and 18 have. Dr Gero took notice and is planning to either "adapt" Victini into a theoretical Android 21, or incorporate its DNA into a new bio-android for his evil schemes. 17 and 18 certainly don't want that to happen, and they've allied with Victini to help prevent this and have a good sparring partner.
  • Interestingly Victini is the only Mythical Pokémon (or any Pokémon) to appear in their native dex before the starters. Specifically, she's Unova Dex entry number 000; Missingno jokes were inevitable. She isn't sure how to feel about the Glitch Entity, and being so...unnatural has her stay her distance. The glitch is more bemused than anything with the number thing. This ended up catching the attention of Lord Vyce. He didn't assume any connection between Victini and his most hated enemy, but he was interested in capturing and exploiting Victini for his purposes. Vyce's own use of "V" in his ship and armor might have had a part in his decision as well. Naturally, the Mythical Pokémon wants nothing of his schemes.

Hmm, with the culling of certain SMT protagonists, and thus the need to "complete the set" is no longer there, I wonder if Kazuya from Shin Megami Tensei I is still a better fit for Cutting Off the Branches than anyone else? In case you need a reasoning again: there are three endings in the game, which most SMT games follow: Law, Chaos, or Neutral. Shin Megami Tensei II eventually reveals that Neutral was Kazuya's chosen path (even though Law managed to reign in the interim).

I also intend to re-nominate Tadano Hitonari, Avatar of Alignment-Based Endings, since not only does he have six of them, they're all mostly different from one another.

Thoughts?

  • Fear: the Dovahkiin
  • Feared By: Squidward Tentacles
  • Oppose: The Enchantress
  • In a world called Rainbow Star, the story of Bub and Bob began when their friends Betty and Patty left the village they lived in to explore the nearby woods, stumbling into a mysterious area known as the Magician's Forest. Due to their unfamiliar surroundings, the two became lost, accidentally wandering into a cave deep in the forest known as the Cave of Monsters. The girls met Super Drunk, master of the cave, who kidnapped them and trapped them on the 100th floor. Bub and Bob set out to rescue the two, but ran afoul of Super Drunk as well, who transformed them into Bubble Dragons. Using their newfound abilities, the two set out to journey through all one hundred floors of the cave in order to rescue the girls. Not only did the pair accomplish this, they also found their parents, and they turned back to normal. However, canon gets much murkier from then on. Besides two other adventures as humans, more battles against Super Drunk and other villains commence, and sometimes the boys are cursed into bubble dragons again or perhaps they've always been bubble dragons to begin with.
  • What remains consistent however is that Bub and Bob are able to shoot out bubbles and encase foes in them before tackling and defeating them, converting them into food items to eat. This serves as their main method of attack, and bubbles are also what transport them between levels in most games. As such, given their entire shtick, this makes them viable candidates for the trope Floating in a Bubble.
  • For consistency's sake, Bub and Bob are contacted as they are in the True Ending of Bubble Symphony, where the brothers and their girlfriends (who happen to be sisters) regain their human forms, vanquish Hyper Drunk, and are crowned royalty by the denizens. They were aware that there was still a new adventure awaiting them, and it indeed came when an envoy of the Pantheon arrived to invite them. They were all eager to see this new place, but due to "clerical issues", only Bub and Bob can be official deities by way of them having much more adventures. Still, that doesn't mean their girlfriends can't come along; it's just under the Herald rank.
  • Due to continuity issues in regards to whether they were cursed or if they've always been bubble dragons, in the Pantheon, Bub and Bob (plus their girlfriends) are given the ability to transform between their more popular bubble dragon forms and their original human forms. While they are each a One-Hit-Point Wonder in their games due to a Curse, that doesn't apply here, but they're still only somewhat more durable than your average kid, even as bubble dragons.
    • As dragons, they can shoot bubbles from their mouths, and not just a spray of little ones, either. These bubbles come out their own size, and upon contact with a target, it traps them inside and floats them upward, and when these bubbles are burst from the outside, this will usually fell most Mooks, but enough bubbles can eventually encase tougher foes once they're sufficiently weakened. Shooting bubbles at each other will just bounce them off and float up. However, if not interacted with for some time, victims of these bubbles can break out safely. Empty bubbles can be bounced on.
      • There are other things they can do with their bubbles, though. They can inflate themselves to float, encase themselves in a bubble to do the same, shoot bubbles in a pattern (Bub's is three bubbles straight forward, and Bob's is in a spread pattern), and shoot larger bubbles (which can trap multiple targets at once). These larger bubbles can bounce off walls, and if it catches either Bub or Bob, they can enter it and perform the Rolling Bubble, where they can charge into more foes.
    • That's not to say their human forms are helpless though. With bubble pipes, they can still shoot bubbles, shoot them in patterns, and bounce on them, all with as much effect as their dragon forms. They also have Rainbow Magic, where they can summon a rainbow in front of them that will damage foes when summoned or when falling from above. These rainbows crumble and fall when jumped on if they will it so, and they can walk on them safely. They can also slow their fall by flapping their arms. Additionally, they also have Magic Parasols with which they can pick up (and stun other foes of similar or smaller size by touching them) and toss foes with, float down a la Parasol Parachute, shield against things like missiles and laser beams, and travel across worlds with them a la Mary Poppins. Between the two, Bub prefers his bubble dragon form more since he likes being called cute.
  • Another thing that showed up in their temple is a Puzzle Bobble gaming machine, and this a popular go-to for gaming visitors as they play against each other, against the bubble dragons (deities or heralds), or against preset puzzles.
  • When it comes to suffering a different from due to a curse and trying to find a way to change back, Bub and Bob… weren't exactly alone in that regard, such as Tiana and Naveen (frogs), Kuzco (llama, and a few others), Odette (swan), Prince Adam/The Beast, and Link (all sorts). Being friendly folks, the duo made friends with all of them, and oppose those responsible for the transformations (if they're in the Pantheon), such as Yzma, Dr. Facilier, and the Enchantress.
  • Being dragons (at least some of the time), Bub and Bub inevitably encountered others of their kind. While they've become friends with most of the friendly dragons in the Pantheon, one particular one was Jake Long, who can also switch between human and dragon forms, even if that privilege is Pantheon-exclusive for the bubble dragons. Another is Spyro, who can also shoot bubbles among his many breath attacks.
    • This also came with enemies, such as Ripto (dragon hater, never mind that Bub and Bob's forms were maybe from a curse), and most dragon hunters (except the Dovahkiin, who is "merely" scary). On the other hand, unless the hunter is particularly evil, returning to human form usually spares them from murder… but may also subject them to different fates instead.
  • One idiot claimed to have seen another bubble dragon around and directed them to the House of Science. Turns out that idiot was referencing Dr. Alphys, given their superficial similarities in body shape. When the monster scientist cleared up the confusion, she also noticed that despite their forms, Bub and Bob's SOULs are still human. They parted ways as friends anyway.
  • One time, while rescuing the Gang of Seven from a bunch of Shadow Heartless, upon seeing them get bubbled, Cera charged at them with more anger than she was normally, helping deal with them. When Bob asked, she was cagey until Petrie blurted out that one time she got trapped in a bubbly mud pit bubble and he had to burst her out. When Bub then asked why she didn't just pop herself out with her horn, she refused to answer and walked away.
  • As fellow bubble-shooters, the pair have also gotten along with Stella of the Angry Birds, Ceasar Zeppeli, and Rolling Bubbles of the PPGZ.
  • Bub likes all sorts of fruits, but not umeboshi (very sour preserved Japanese plums). He mistook it for a cherry once, and he felt his cheeks almost fall off as a result.
  • Upon being introduced to YouTube, video games, Let's Play, streaming, and V-Tubers, Bub decided to try his hand at them.
  • As avid bubble lovers, Spongebob and his best friend Patrick became best buddies with the bubble dragons. Squidward by contrast was fearful of them given the last time he got trapped in a bubble. Thankfully, he and his house came out of it fine, but the same can't be said for his clarinet skills he seemed to gain while inside that bubble.

  • Their story begins during the Industrial Revolution, which this universe's Alchemists Guild was in very strong opposition. To this end, they resorted to trying to summon demons, among them the Demon King Bael, in order to scare the masses away from relying on technology, and their method involved crystals filled with demon energy called Shards. They infused these Shards to abducted orphaned children, making them Shardbinders, and Miriam and Gebel were among them. These children were raised to fight demons and disciplined to obey the guild. Years later, the time came for the summoning ritual, and the Guild would successfully summon their demon army at the expense of all their Shardbinders, save two. Miriam and Gebel would miraculously survive, he by sheer willpower and fortune and having an exorcist in his ancestry, and she by being put into slumber by the repentant Alfred in order to cut in half the power of the ritual, thus denying at least the summoning of Bael. The Guild's plan was a colossal backfire as their intended plan did not come to fruition (and caused a calamity), the Church (after quelling that calamity) executed its higher-ups, and the remnants would be hunted down in their own Guild by none other than Gebel himself (though Alfred would escape before then). The last waking Shardbinder vanished after that, Miriam continued sleeping, and the Guild apprentice Johannes—who was close to the two—studied the effects of the shards with Dominique Baldwin, an agent of the Church, and predicted that Miriam would wake in 10 years.
    • Just as that time came, Gebel returned, brought a castle called the Hellhold with him, and summoned a legion of demons to ravage Earth in revenge for what mankind has done to the Shardbinders so long ago. With Miriam awake, she, Johannes, and Dominique (the former two on a galleon, the latter separately) set off to Arvantville, which was close to the Hellhold. As the only other Shardbinder left, Miriam has to be the one to put a stop to Gebel, and the two had even made a promise long ago that if either of them lost their way, the other would stop them. On the way, they were beset by demons, and upon vanquishing them, their Shards forced themselves into Miriam, granting her their powers, but also running the risk of the crystals overtaking her body though this is put into question given the source of this factoid. However, upon Miriam and Gebel first meeting each other again after so long, it seems he's forgotten that promise, and wants Miriam to join him so they can sequester themselves away from mankind. Naturally, she refused, and he dared her to ask him again after absorbing more Shards before departing.
    • Throughout her journey, she would be forced to absorb Shards from slain demons to acquire their powers, cross paths with Guild remnant and Johannes' master Alfred who seems obsessed with reclaiming the Liber Logaeth, cross blades with the Oriental demon hunter Zangetsu (and eventually earn his trust), help villagers with their woes, trade with Johannes, Dominique, and a few other kooky benign demons for wares, supplies, and services. All the while, Gebel waited, hoping Miriam would see things his way and join her side.
    • In the end, the True End where Gremory is outed as being the one actually controlling Gebel, he's just bait for Miriam who's the true target the entire time, as well as Dominique being revealed to have been working against Miriam all along, Gebel returned to his senses and thanked Miriam only to fully crystallize in the end, Miriam put a stop to the real mastermind Gremory (with Zangetsu's help), the woman behind her Dominique, who sought to summon Bael in order to kill God due to losing faith in Him, then had the Hellhold sent back from whence it came by Johannes following instructions left by Alfred.
  • While there's an alternate tale featuring almost all the main cast where Gebel does survive, this Miriam and Gebel come from one timeline, and following their ascension is a Tear Jerker of a reunion given there was no way to save Gebel from death. Still, they have Ghost Memories of that timeline, which can be confusing given that Gebel and Alfred are still alive in that mortal realm and Dominique isn't secretly evil, as well as the ability to Mascotify.

  • Applies to both:
    • With the help of Johannes and some of Alfred's suggested improvements, Miriam no longer has to worry about the crystals from overtaking her body, and the same privilege is now applied to Gebel post-resurrection. All the Shards acquired thus far is all that will be available. There will be no extra Shards in the Pantheon, and both wouldn't have it any other way.
    • In terms of their residency, Miriam and Gebel's temple takes the form of Arvantville where Miriam stayed during her battle against the demons, and a few elements of the Hellhold, including Gebel's throne room, O.D.'s library after Miriam ended up taking him in as a servant when she forgot to return a certain book to him before wrapping things up with Gremory, and he engaged her in a battle that she just barely won, and Todd's room. The latter elements are hidden away so as to not distress the villagers, and Gebel's status as instigator of the incident is kept a secret from them; all they know about Gebel is that he's a friend of Miriam, and that he has a terrible affliction. Johannes resides at the village with Alfred.
      • Miriam was surprised to see the Demon Barber in her and Gebel's temple. He responds that he still needs her help to cut 666 hair styles, and that such a feat was unresolvable during their time at the Hellhold. Hopefully he'll have better luck in the Pantheon, and hopefully she might discover more hairstyles for him to cut (for her or anyone else who visits and isn't afraid of him).
    • As for what Mascotify is, it's a (non-Shard powered) ability that transforms them into an invincible box that hovers around another person as long as they're within a set distance, and back at the "escorter's" present location. This way, the "carried" can be escorted around difficult areas easier without worrying about getting hurt or the risk of crumbling bridges, but their life is now linked to the "escorter" during this, and their death would also mean the death of the "carried".
    • When it comes to dealing with people who think being altered with anything non-human automatically makes someone less than human, or when faced with prejudice for involuntary transformation, Gebel has these words of wisdom he once told Miriam when she had lost her will to live before he snapped her out of it.
Gebel: If we ask for the demons' power, then we're monsters. But if people force us to take it, then our power doesn't make us good or bad. Our choices do. That freedom of choice is proof we're human.
    • As a result, they have dim opinions on those who blame the victims for their condition, harbor empathy for the altered who still hold on to their humanity however they can, and hold contempt for those who either use their condition as an excuse for terrible things or if they willingly throw away their capacity to care for others.
    • On top of corroding their bodies, Shards also make them susceptible to Demonic Possession. With plenty of powerful demons in the Pantheon, this means both Gebel and Miriam are at risk if they ever take on any of the powerful ones. The only reason Miriam dodged those particular bullets back then is because Gremory—once she was ousted from Gebel—pursued the Liber Logaeth, then was sealed in a room by Zangetsu before taking him away, and then Miriam used the demon hunter's sword to send her back to whence she came, and Bael already took Dominique as a host by the time he encountered Miriam.
      • As a result, it's now become ironic that despite their powers meant for slaying demons, Miriam and Gebel are unable to go out and do that without proper countermeasures first, of which they will hopefully find in the Pantheon.
    • Given their story is apparently a Spiritual Successor to the Castlevania series, it was inevitable that Miriam and Gebel would be approached by the Belmont Clan and their allies. And given the fact that Alucard is one of their allies, they all (with varying degrees of caution, or full trust) accepted the male Shardbinder after Miriam vouched for him. Naturally, this made them enemies with the Clan's archenemy Dracula as well.
    • Miriam's first encounter with Shovel Knight ended up as a clash, because she had assumed he was a stray small Shovel Armor demon, and because an Itazura Griefer deceived her for laughs. She then assumed he was some sort of elite variant after he started using his Relics as well as him asking her why are they fighting. It was only through interference by Shield Knight was the misunderstanding cleared, and Miriam profusely apologized for it. Shovel Knight let the matter slide, complimented Miriam's skill, and they parted ways as allies. They were easy to convince of Gebel's turn back to good, given Shield Knight was similarly brainwashed before into the Enchantress.
    • Another fight borne from a misunderstanding came from Dante Sparda, and actually mirrored the first time Miriam met Zangetsu. However, this fight would slow down after Miriam discovered that Dante clearly wasn’t taking the fight seriously and was almost literally playing around (his cocky grin making it more evident), and she made her frustration clear. They had a brief talk after that, and they eventually got a better understanding of one another. Dante also found Miriam's mastery over numerous different weapons fun and entertaining. Afterward, Dante decided to introduce her and Gebel to other Demon Slayers... as soon as a countermeasure for Demonic Possession is found (and they eventually do).
      • Gebel's actions under Gremory's brainwashing brought chilled receptions from these other demon slayers, and required a lot of convincing from Miriam that he's on the up and up now. The Doom Slayer's helmet-obscured glare unnerved even the male Shardbinder, but he understood his words given a demon also helped him. Bayonetta kind of understands Gebel's situation given her Father Balder was also under Mind Control all along before being freed from it by her, though there was also time travel involved on his end, so it's a bit confusing. Princess Sakuna is more concerned with Gebel's ability to summon demons than whether or not he (or Miriam) can be trusted, but she'll hold the female Shardbinder to her word. The Winchester brothers and Castiel—given all their troubles with demons (not to mention Crowley entangling himself in their affairs and them in his several times over)—have difficulty trusting either of them, even Miriam, despite her best efforts, though they won't stop them when fighting the same foes. Flynn trusts them, and himself summons demons anyway. THe Demi-Fiend doesn't have any particular opinions for or against them. Hoss Delgado, for all his boneheadedness, shares the same opinions as the harvest-war goddess; doesn't quite trust Gebel, but will hold Miriam to her word that he's not evil anymore, and they're fine as long as neither of them summon any demons around him.
    • Despite no longer having to worry about corruption from their Shards, that doesn't mean certain parties (mostly from the Houses of Knowledge and Magic) won’t be interested in them, and may try to use them, or capture them for experiments. Most attempts from evil or insensitive people have usually ended with a plethora of demons from Gebel coming their way, and neither he nor Miriam are slouches by any measure in fending off personal attacks. That's not to say there aren't any benign interested parties who wish to learn about Shards, but most of them know better than to press the subject given how traumatic and disastrous their childhoods were. On a lighter note, Marisa Kirisame has been seen eyeing them whenever they're in battle, trying to learn to emulate their techniques for herself.
      • Merlin's also expressed great interest in them given his origins. In fact, their Shards are something he considers unique and new, something he hasn’t seen or experienced before. As a reward for this new experience, he provided the Shardbinders with an enchantment that would ward off Demonic Possession as a result of their Shards. It did take the form of a Shard for each of them however, but unlike all other Shards, these ones did not cause any pain upon insertion. And with Merlin’s status as powerful wizard and seer, he has learned everything others know, will know, and also things they will never know about Shards from a first glance. Merlin also complimented their Herald Johannes in his skills in alchemy, successfully creating and replicating powerful weapons, like the Carnwennan.
    • On top of malicious demons, the Shardbinders eventually had to contend with zealous angels as well, particularly those under YHVH and Paradiso. And in more complicated matters, the latter's counterparts the Demons of Inferno also get involved, and they usually target Miriam more given how many demons she's slain while also trying to curry favor with Gebel, who rebuffs them at every turn.
      • While Dominique was a traitor to her faith, those overzealous in their belief in God that lead to depraved acts are no better, such as Judge Frollo for his lust and his desire to purge gypsies, and William Stryker for claiming oppression from people different from ordinary humans. Alexander Anderson however is a unique case; he wishes to strike down Gebel for the whole Hellhold affair, but as long as she's not with him, he's perfectly fine with Miriam's presence given how she not only laid Gebel to rest in the mortal realm, but stopped the heretic Dominique as well from successfully bringing Baal to Earth.
    • As for working alongside people of the Catholic Church, given Miriam did work on their behalf assuming Dominique wasn't pulling a solo operation unbeknownst to even Johannes, similar problems were encountered as with the demon hunters given Gebel's actions. Given he has an ally demon, Rosette already has confidence in Miriam that Gebel really won't turn against them. The same goes for Elsa la Conti and Clarice di Lanza, the latter of whom is a demon herself. The Imperium of Man is better off avoided entirely due to their fanaticism. (add more later)

  • Exclusive to Miriam:
    • Is well-versed in all sorts of weapons: kicking, daggers, swords, clubs, greatswords, axes, staves, spears, whips, and firearms. Her bullets for the last can range from mundane hollow-points to elemental or diamond-made, and even if she runs out (which it won't when Miriam has the Recycle Hat on), she has the Infinite Rounds, though they're much weaker.
    • Can empathize with those who lost their faith in God after suffering great loss, but it still doesn't excuse turning against their own kind and/or setting loose demons, as Dominique Baldwin had. She also opposes those who seek godhood for selfish reasons or wish to kill gods. Unless said gods are malevolent, such as YHVH or Chuck Shurley.
    • On top of her talents in combat, Miriam is also a talented pianist, and may occasionally play some tunes when she has the time. If her summoned Familiar is a Carabosse, she will sing along.
    • Wants to make sure that if someone needs to use a Waystone or some other one-use teleportation item that doesn't already have a set destination locked (such as a Scroll of Town Portal), the user should have their destination in the forefront of their mind and nothing else. She's had to deal with someone who got lost a few more times due to getting distracted.
    • As someone who's also had to fight against a brother figure who did everything for them but lost themselves to the power they have, in addition to coming to their senses just as they were defeated and passing away, Miriam got along well with Shanoa. They also discovered that they both help townspeople in their adventures, use shards/glyphs embedded in their skin, and were both taken in as a child by a demon/dracula-worshipping organization who tried to use her to summon forth said demons/dracula at the cost of her life (and thankfully didn't come to pass).
    • She also got along well with Soma Cruz given their ability to acquire abilities from enemies (souls for Soma, Shards for Miriam), their expertise with multiple melee weapons, and their antagonists trying to urge them to absorb as many as possible so they can become more powerful, and while their special abilities is seen as a weapon that can be used for evil, they both wanted nothing to do with it and use it to fight for good. They also both have alternate fates where they fell to the dark side.
    • The Aqua Stream Shard is Miriam's primary means of traversing underwater, and she can use it with impunity while down there. It helps that she has Super Not-Drowning Skills.
    • Another notable Shard of hers is Summon Chair, where she does exactly that, and can spawn several at a time. They're not just for show, for they can regenerate MP while one is seated on such a chair, but they are temporary and will disappear when Miriam leaves the area or dismisses it manually. When waiting, and unable to find an adequate seat, Miriam will use this Shard instead, and may be convinced to summon more for others.
    • When in a pinch, and there's a lot of blood spilled, she has the Blood Steal Shard to heal herself with that blood. Unlike other blood-related magics, it cannot affect blood still inside the body; it has to be already spilt. This makes battles against her in the House of Slaughter or in slaughterhouses in her favor as there is plenty to absorb. On occasion, the Aerospace Sanitation Janitor appreciates her company if she has the time to clean up blood (leaving just the rest of the junk), making their job easier even for just a day.
    • Was once read a tale back as a child that's similar to her own adventure, except the protagonist was a redheaded girl named Aurora. It was just a story on Miriam's side of the tale, but what of on the Child of Light's end?
      • According to Aurora (who regarded Miriam with caution at first, having only met her Doppelganger before), this tale rings true on her side, taking place just after she vanquished Queen Umbra, and crossed the mirror back to her home kingdom, which was about to be swallowed by floodwater. She was taken to this realm instead, her friends turned into Shards, and Aurora regressed to a child once more. Still, by fighting the demons of the castle, she slowly regained her lost power, and eventually stopped Dominique and Bael, and on doing so was spirited (with her friends back to normal) back to her intended destination; her kingdom in Austria, in time to evacuate her people to Lemuria.
      • As for the two Shardbinders, Aurora gets along with them well, even Gebel (since she somehow deduced his real situation), but also laments that his fate (and she was aware of his…controlled state) was no different in Aurora's side of the story than in Miriam's.
    • Takes great care to return any borrowed books and makes sure others do the same. Orlok Dracule's Bonus Boss fight taught her the hard way, even though it did grant her the Standstill Shard, as well as O.D.'s services.
  • Exclusive to Gebel:
    • Despite his redemption, his faith in humanity is yet to be entirely restored due to all the sins the Alchemist Guild committed, and mostly keeps to himself unless he's accompanying Miriam, or when receiving visitors who wish to see him personally.
    • When it comes to what Shards he has, besides those he showed during his boss fight, given all the demons he's summoned, it's highly likely that he has most of the same Shards as Miriam, though some that she has are definitely unavailable to him as they are either optional, or are acquired after Gremory was outed. Speaking of summoned demons, he is still able to do that, having first known to have done it when he hunted down the remainder of the Alchemists Guild that had experimented on him and Miriam so long ago.
      • As for weaponry, it's not known if he's even a Multi-Melee Master like Miriam, given all the training Shardbinders are subjected to, but he usually defaults to a sword, or sending out bats from his cape.
    • As someone else who suffered abusive experiments from those who made him who he is, and eventually rebelled against them before turning on all humanity for a while before being convinced to abandon that line of thinking, Gebel actually finds a kindred soul in Mewtwo. The Genetic Pokémon can see this too and finds his words to Miriam wise even if it can't apply to Mewtwo himself since he never was human.
    • Having heard of him from Bayonetta, Gebel has considered visiting Father Balder, but the stances of their powers made him concerned given the Church's stance against demons and Dominique may have been working alone when she concocted that plot with Gremory. However, Balder himself had no problems seeking him out after hearing of the Shardbinders through the proverbial grapevine. After all, he did fall in love with and marry an Umbra Witch, so the concept of someone benevolent who consorts with demons isn't foreign.
    • Given what Gremory did to him, and her pride in her heritage stained by that act against him, Rias Gremory made contact with him and wanted to apologize for what Gremory did and forced him to do. Gebel in turn had a few problems the first time around, in a combination of trauma and horror of what happened to him and with what he did because of Gremory, but at the same time he's more upset with himself since Rias had no involvement with what happened, and recognizes her to be a literal different demon, so he shouldn't even place her in the same category, and eventually warmed up to her.

Reposting the Chimera yet again, now with additions based on Hamana's critique. Either, I believe it's good to go, though I don't mind any last-minute suggestions.

  • In an alternate future where World War I was won by the Western Powers without the intervention of the United States and History taking a different course thanks to this, World War II never occurs, or at least not in the way you would have expected. It all began in the last weeks of 1949 with reports of Russia suddenly becoming attacked and destroyed in what is called "The Angry Night" by witnesses, with reports of an infection and massacres taking place thanks to a mysterious, yet savage race, soon to be dubbed The Chimera. Sometime after what is said to be a "Deathless Plague", human armies prepare to fight back against this rising threat, only turning worse when the Chimera manages to overrun Europe and infest the United Kingdom. Despite the United States sending in trained forces to combat what they assume to be an invading Russian Army, they are unprepared for what they actually face, with the American Troops quickly being slaughtered save for one, Nathan Hale, surviving mainly thanks to being immune against the Chimeran virus and retaliating against the invading Chimeran forces before being captured and returned to the United States.
    • Despite their loss in Britain, the Chimera quickly plotted to recover and kickstart a new invasion in the western hemisphere, quickly decimating Canada and South America before attacking the United States on both sides. Despite information on the hostile race being exploited and Hale now being promoted to Lieutenant and grouped alongside a pack of like-minded soldiers to find Russian scientist Fyodor Malikov whom they think can create a cure to the virus, the Chimeran army, now led by an Angel named Daedalus, fight back more aggressively and gradually destroy the United States with little setback. Even with Malikov being found and secured, Hale's team is systematically killed during the fight, and Hale himself succumbs to the virus and becomes a Chimera after killing Daedalus, ultimately being executed by his squad's only survivor, Joseph Capelli. It's also revealed that the Chimera were not a freak viral infection accidentally released by Russia like everyone else assumed, but rather a lifeform from space that actually colonized the Earth 60 million years ago and left the planet after a devastating war against another alien race, leaving behind the Chicxulub Crater and a series of peculiar towers buried underneath certain major cities as evidence of this historical event. They returned to Earth via a virus-infused meteor hitting in Siberia at 1908 before making their presence known in 1927.
    • Daedalus's death was nothing more than just a minor setback with the goal of him and fellow Angels to bring in the Pure Chimera still going ahead without hindrance. With Hale's death and the Chimera's attacks being seemingly unstoppable, the United States crumbled and billions of people lost their lives at that point, though years later, Hale's body did produce a vaccine that eliminated any chance of anybody converting into a Chimera, though by that point, the Chimera had already dominated the world and were now scouting out any remaining humans to kill whilst also planning to bring the Pure Chimeras to Earth via a wormhole to terraform the planet into their liking, even it if meant killing any other species other than themselves. Left with no other choice, Joseph Capelli made one final attempt with Fyodor Malikov to put a stop to Chimeran dominance, with part of Capelli's motivation being to provide a hopeful future for his wife and son. Despite severe setbacks and hardships, including Malikov's death, Capelli managed to destroy the central tower that sustained the Chimera's reign and seal their portal connection with the Pure Chimeras, finally severing their advantage and allowing the remaining human survivors to fight back to properly reclaim Earth from their alien invaders.
  • The Pantheon has had a rich history regarding extraterrestrials, ranging from typical bestial beings without sapience, to usual invaders and even benevolent, inspiring heroes who have earned Mankind's adoration. Even so, most of them have a defined background and origin, something that is difficult to say about the Chimera, whose origins are just as vague and mysterious as how and when they ascended into the Pantheon. The closest that can be said were recorded sights from the early days of the Pantheon's recovery period from a seemingly endless war and their response was to viciously lash out and attack whoever they encountered. Most of these sightings either led to death or survival… for only a brief amount of time before supposed survivors developed symptoms that eventually morphed them into additional Chimera. However, despite their newfound notoriety, the alien race was about to face off against a tougher army, one that would not go down as easily as the ones the Chimera forces did in the alternate history they came from. They engaged in a brutal battle, which ended with the Chimeras retreating to another planet to terraform whilst a vaccine to the Chimera Virus was created to treat patients. Though their battle and influence in the Pantheon is nowhere finished.
  • The Chimera, at first glance, appears to be what you'd expect for the generic negative interpretation of aliens; invasive, aggressive, and taking no stops in attacking others and wanting to destroy and colonize their world and belongings. And for the most part, this is true, they are feral, brutal, and uncompromising towards anyone they deem an enemy. However, one thing they are distinct for, and why they were so successful and feared, was their ability to infect and corrupt others into suddenly changing into their kind without consent and overriding their mind. Essentially, with one Chimera dead, they will infect others to add into their ranks, and their technology is as advanced as aliens can get, albeit with some degree of primitiveness, given the Chimera's warlike and savage outlook. Don't be fooled into thinking killing and infecting is everything they think; some Chimeras, especially Angels, and Daedalus himself, are exceptionally intelligent and plan events and actions ahead. With the right leadership, the Chimera are some of the deadliest aliens in the Pantheon, though that doesn't prevent them from having competition regardless.
    • Chimeras come in different forms, shapes, and sizes, ensuring that the entire army is diverse and encompassing all sorts of occupations that are relevant to their goals from engineering and planning strategies to rounding out those affected with the Chimeras Virus and participating in invasions, seized, and massacres. Land, sea, sky, every possible place is something the Chimera can somehow occupy and make a settlement under, though the most notable is a series of towers that they use to communicate with each other and house their main military operations in, though the biggest tower is designed for the express purpose of creating a wormhole to their previous homeworld with which a Pure Chimera can migrate from. To everyone's dismay, the towers have been in the Pantheon, having been buried underneath the Earth for millions of years until the Chimera suddenly resurfaced. However, the Pantheon means the Chimera can experiment and come up with new strains to diversify their army and possibly bring their fights to their favor. They're doing everything they can to make things tough for everyone involved in their battle against this hostile alien army.
  • Given their enmity towards, well, everyone else that is them, the Chimera are an enemy first and an ally to virtually no one, considering they simply want to terraform whatever planet they're in so they can colonize and conquer it for themselves. None hate the Chimeras more than the Imperium of Mankind, who have spent thousands of years fighting against extraterrestrial forces and become jaded and xenophobic as a result, regardless of their noble intentions. Having seen numerous horrific acts back in their day and while not too fazed by their actions, the Imperium quickly declared the aliens to be guilty of crimes against Humanity and have made a decree that they will not stop their fight until virtually every single Chimera is dead, even those who are mildly affected by the virus and are taking treatment. Of course, the God-Emperor seeks to eliminate the threat as soon as possible, recognizing that remaining unchecked would prove a fatal mistake for humans, guessing that the Chimera are more than willing to do anything to win their fights. As a result, he personally takes it upon himself to engage in battle against the aliens, determined to preserve Humanity and their legacy, even if it means committing genocide towards a universally malicious race.
  • In spite of their diverse strains, weaponry, artillery, and presence, one thing that is dependent on the Chimeras is that they prefer to be in colder climates. This is because their body temperature generates approximately 12 times more metabolism than the average human does, which is to say they expend and use up a lot of energy and body heat. In a warmer climate, a Chimera would find it difficult to adapt to their circumstance as this metabolism would prove fatal if kept unchecked. This is why most Chimeras are equipped with a cooling tank embedded on their backs to regulate their body temperature in any non-friendly climate areas they visit. As a result, the Chimeras tend to keep a distance from warmer areas of the Pantheon, especially the Hall of Fire and Heat, as they are aware that being there is disadvantageous for them. They do, however, have no problem being in cooler parts of the Pantheon, such as most of the House of Space and Cosmos and the Hall of Ice and Cold as their metabolismeans they can get used to the temperamental surroundings there.
  • Despite being one of many alien races that invaded Earth and waged war against Humanity due to the mystique and incredible danger they posed, the Chimera have also seen themselves fighting against other invasive alien races, furthering the fact that they really don't have any allies other than their own kind, and even this is debatable as more feral Chimeran strains would fight against each other and their more advanced brethren simply for the sake of maintaining their territory. For one, the Martians thought the Chimera were funny-looking, although they were rather jealous that they succeeded where they didn't regarding their attacks on mankind. The Chimera, on the other hand, doesn't particularly care about this sentiment, instead seeing the Martians as additional fodder that they can see being converted into more Chimeras, which obviously brought the two into intense conflict. Of course, it didn't help that the Chimera are willing to create any weapon they deem necessary to take on their enemies, including enhanced sound waves, knowing that the Martians are deathly vulnerable to loud sounds.
    • Arguably the closest rival the Chimera have faced were the Shroobs, a race of malicious alien humanoid mushrooms who, despite coming from a dying world, made no pretenses of laying havoc upon another world, usurping the Mushroom Kingdom and dominating anyone they came across partly to provide for themselves and to instill fear and authority in the cruelest way possible. It turned out that the Shroobs' way of converting others into their own wasn't too different from the Chimera, but neither really cared about their similarities. While Princess Shroob saw potential in an alliance, if mainly for her own self-benefit, the Chimera's savage mentality refused this notion and saw the Shroobs as an invasive group that they can't allow to let overtake. They battle against each other just as much as they do with heroes and both groups are taking interest in each others' military might and ways of sustenance, believing learning about their enemy would allow them to have a better advantage. Strangely, some have seen the rivalry as a more violent, extraterrestrial way to represent the company rivalry between Sony and Nintendo, though neither group care about this perspective in the slightest.
  • As a group of aggressive invading aliens, they naturally made enemies against many heroes who've dealt with these kinds of threats several times, such as Superman, Statesman, and Captain Marvel, though they've expressed worry about their high multiplying rate and their deadly persistence, not to mention that the Chimera are certainly going to try finding out and exploiting the weaknesses of their foes by any means necessary. Some heroes like Martian Manhunter and Eddie Brock (for a given definition) have seen the very worst of extraterrestrial malice several times and express the most concern. While Venom is willing to kill, J'onn's pacifistic mentality causes him grief that lethal force is the only action he can take against the Chimera as they have no intention of stopping their attacks and colonizing planets.
    • They also made enemies with the HECU and the Black Ops, especially considering their own experience in fighting against similar extraterrestrial threats in Black Mesa and the Combine, who eventually defeated and enslaved Mankind in their grasps, though both parties, despite their shady allegiance, continued to fight back in spite of suffering massive casualties. The fact that the Chimera were not just more savage, but had every intent on destroying civilization to replace it with their own caused both parties to make further plans and preparations in taking them on, knowing that the Chimera may be more dangerous than Black Mesa and the Combine simply because of their differing goals and their savagery. Speaking of, the Chimera also shares a rivalry against the Combine as the latter seeks a lawful if still repressive subjugation and feels that the former's more destructive terraforming and destruction would heavily counteract the Combine's goals.
  • The Chimera are largely unfamiliar with World War II, given that such an event never actually occurred by the time their invasion reached its peak. That said, the very nature and scale they established meant that they did start off a World War II, with the Chimeras being the main aggressor. For once, both Allies and Axis powers had an agreement for once in regards to opposing the Chimera. Many in Nazi Germany felt that the Chimera were a threat to their ultimate ambition of spreading their belief of the Master Race whereas Fascist Italy and Imperial Japan similar saw them as grave dangers to their overall existence. While this doesn't mean the Allies and Axis would ally themselves against a mutual threat, they will fight the Chimeras if they have to. That said, the two do wonder whether nuclear weaponry would have at least given them some advantage over the aliens be it its large destructive power and its radioactive aftereffects and if it would affect the Chimera in some way.
    • Deathshead sees the Chimera as a grand example of how the unknown is simply a bad topic to pursue regarding any sort of military, social, or financial benefit in the eyes of Nazi Germany, and that was mainly because these sorts of forces are simply too unpredictable and risky to manage. The fact that the Chimera was deemed a case of paranormal activity in Russia before their big invasion is something Deathshead sees as further validation of his beliefs, especially when one of his trusted subordinates, Helga von Schabbs, was killed by a monster during an archaeological excavation. Next to the Allied Forces, Deathshead makes it clear that the Chimera is one of the foes he's most concerned about due to their invasive brutality and the fact that their extraterrestrial nature is simply too much of a burden to fight against, let alone understand. B.J. B.J. Blaskowicz has also seen himself fighting the Chimera thanks to his own experience of fighting monsters and beasts, with even him admitting the Chimeras are a threat that needs to be neutralized after learning about their attack on Earth.
  • Despite the Chimera holding universal enmity towards pretty much anyone due to their invasive nature, they did attract a certain admirer in the Plaguemaster Chaos God, Nurgle, who saw that the Chimera represented diligence, endurance, and a will to persevere. The fact that the Chimera were a race that experimented on themselves and others and practically recreated themselves by affecting others, thus making them a virus of the sort, was a splendid bonus for Nurgle as diseases and spreading something akin to a pandemic was a major theme for the Chaos God. The two treat each other differently though; Nurgle is friendly and appreciative towards the Chimera and wants to make them followers of him, stating that he would give the aliens lots of blessings if they pledge allegiance to him. On the other hand, the Chimera, like anything they know and encounter, don't care, much less reject, what Nurgle has to offer them, much to his own dissatisfaction.
  • The origins of the race as well as their structures can be traced back to what is known as the "Pure" Chimera, who were the first inhabitants of their kind and who originally colonized Earth 60 million years ago. While evidence, studies, and even fossilized remains have been made and discovered, they remain a mystery, even by the standards of the Chimera themselves. What makes this stand out more is that there is no known encounter of the Pure Chimera by reliable sources, be it in their home universe or in the Pantheon. That said, the existence of the Chimera in the Pantheon is confirmation that the Pure Chimera exist there too and while many assume it's only a matter of time before they reveal themselves, they've remained elusive and not even generating huge levels of concern, if mainly because of the multiple number of other alien threats in the Pantheon. Even so, there plans to find and combat the Pure Chimera when they ever reveal themselves.
    • Of course, Daedalus is the most powerful Chimera, or at least the one with the most authority on Earth, and his resurfacing has made him among the more notorious aliens in the Pantheon, which is made all the more bizarre as Daedalus was once a former human named Jordan Adam Shepherd, who enlisted in the army as a way to atone for his past actions as a domestic abuser. He (and Nathan Hale at the end of his life) is not the only human-turned-chimera as proven by Chrysalis, who was originally Raine Bouchard, who converted herself in a desperate attempt to stop the Chimeran virus and failing as a result, which ended with her consciousness falling prey to the Chimera's desires and instinct. While not as powerful as Daedalus, Chrysalis still remains one of the most powerful of the Chimera and together with Daedalus, seeks to further their race's influence and power by the time the Pure Chimera publicly show up in the Pantheon.

Think I'm pretty much done with this profile, accepting [tup]s unless anyone has any more feedback to give.

Allen Walker, God of Soulsavers (Beansprout, Cheater Boy A, The Destroyer of Time, Red Arm, 14th Noah)

  • Interested in: Dorian Gray
  • Allen Walker is a young man born with a deformed left arm who was abandoned by his family. Raised by Mana Walker, when he tried to resurrect his adoptive father by accepting a deal from the Earl of Millennium Mana was brought back as an akuma that Allen destroyed with his arm, which turned out to be an Innocence, a weapon that destroys akuma. His left eye was cursed by Mana, letting him see the souls of akuma. Then taken in by Cross Marian, Allen was trained to become an exorcist and join the Black Order. A kind idealist, Allen wishes to save the souls of both humans and akuma and release them from their suffering. As a result, he opposes the Earl, the creator of the akuma who wants to destroy humanity. This goal of providing salvation to the akuma puts him at odds with not only the Noah, the group led by the Earl, but also the Black Order itself as Allen learns more about his mysterious past.
  • Allen was eating a giant pile of dango skewers when Tincampy came to him with a letter. Allen wondered whatever the letter could be, possibly a message from the Black Order for him to slay an akuma, or even from one of the Noah, maybe from the enigmatic Tyki Mikk. Allen's curiosity was piqued when learning that the letter Tincampy gave him came from the Pantheon. Having obtained his records from the Black Order, they honored Allen with an invitation to the Pantheon, bestowing upon him the title of God of Soulsavers for his intent to save the souls of both humans and akuma, a goal they found noble for its compassion and admirable for his determination despite the challenges he faces from both allies and enemies. Given the opportunity to save more souls by becoming a god in the Pantheon, Allen heartily accepted the position.
    • Becoming an exorcist in the Pantheon now entails Allen fighting its many different demons, in contrast to the akuma he fought in his home world. The Crowned Clown's Sword of Exorcism, with its power to harm only evil, only made Allen more suited for the role. In his experiences, Allen's idea of evil, which affects what the sword harms, has included the many purely irredeemable entities he has encountered, such as Dis, Melkor, and Gandondorf. In his duties, Allen can be seen defeating the demonic beings that serve under these devilish lords, hoping for these poor souls' salvation and freedom from their twisted existences. His compassion for even his unholy enemies has made Allen Walker both an admired and disapproved figure in the House of Religion and Faith.
  • Allen has formed an exorcist duo with Rin Okumura, the son of Satan the Demon King who joined True Cross Academy to become an exorcist and kill his father for the death of his adoptive father. Rin's energetic laidback nature meshed well with Allen's kind, patient personality. Despite their very different temperaments, the two found common ground to bond as they learned more about each other's motivations and backgrounds. They found someone to talk to about their complicated relationship with their fathers — Allen's adoptive father being one half of the Earl of Millennium and Satan killing Rin's adoptive father and wanting to be him, the man Rin's mother loved. The two came to the consensus that exorcism was tough work, to say the least, but do it to make the world a better place.
  • Saving souls stirs up a large appetite in Allen. Due to the parasitic type of Innocence he uses in his endeavors, Allen has to eat a huge amount of food. Thanks to growing up as a circus hand without being taught any manners, Allen tends to gulp up plenty of food in short time. Thus, in his free time Allen can be found in the House of Food eating its most delicious dishes. Allen's love for dango has him often perusing the KiraKira Cures', the Goddesses of Desserts, sweets shop, gobbling up its confectionaries. Allen's idealistic, incorruptible nature fits right in with the Cures, with some of the other shop's customers joking that he could be their newest member as Cure Dango. With how much time he spends at the Cures' shop, the thought of it arises in Allen's mind from time to time.
  • On his quest to save as many of the lost, tortured souls within the Pantheon, Allen inevitably crossed paths with Dante Alighieri. Allen was expecting to meet the legendary poet that he had heard of. Instead, Allen was surprised that when needing to whoop ass and save souls Dante can be a violent, powerful warrior who had served in the Feditore as a cavallo. Dante's gritty views on absolution and the need for souls to face their sins contrasted Allen's ideology on saving souls. Allen, firm in his resolution to save all souls, continues to try to free souls from their miserable existences and reiterated this goal to Dante with the determination built from his journey in his home world. Dante was taken aback by Allen's resolve, reminded of his desire to reunite with Beatrice's soul. Allen's staunch idealism appealed to the more romantic aspects of Dante, who wished Allen the best of luck on his quest.
  • Wanting to learn more about his past which he's unable to remember, Allen consulted Hal, Goddess of Amnesiac Heroes, famed for her power to "read" the memories of those she touches and help them recover their memories, as she had done for her teacher Miss Sakura. Allen, wanting to learn more about his past and its ties to the Earl of Millennium, was now in the Pantheon, a place with fellow deities who have the power to help give him the answers he wanted. Having dealt with the loss and regaining of her own memories, Hal warned Allen that he might be happier without them and asked if he was sure that this is what he wanted. Allen reiterated his resolve to see his memories. Understanding, Hal touched Allen and saw memories of his old life as the abused circus hand Red Arm, how he came to meet Mana Walker, and first encountered the Earl. Shaken by the intensity and pain of these memories and concluding that they were intentionally repressed, Hal knew these memories were not something that could just be described by another and Allen had to remember them himself if he wanted to truly understand himself. Allen, despite not getting the answers he sought out, could understand that Hal's reasons were genuine and sincerely thanked her.
  • Allen's appearance, his Innocence the Crowned Clown, and tricks from a childhood working in the circus have drawn him comparisons to the Italian Pierrot from those in the Pantheon. Thanks to his good deeds as the Pantheon's God of Soulsavers, he's garnered admiration, but drawn comparisons to one of the most infamous clowns in the Pantheon the Violator. Upon confronting him, Allen was surprised to learn that the Violator actually hated his guise, and isn't a clown but moreso a demon, and a psychotic one at that. Different from the akuma he had defeated, beings of human souls who were brought back by their loved ones through the Earl of Millennium only to kill the ones who called them back and go on to kill other humans as their souls are tormented by hatred. Allen came to learn that some souls, like the Violator, are truly monstrous and undeserving of salvation.
    • Ben Tennyson, who has a fear of clowns that includes the Violator, wasn't exactly thrilled to learn that another pierrot was joining the Pantheon. After hearing about Allen, he was pleasantly surprised to learn that he was worried for nothing when he met the selfless, compassionate exorcist and didn't have to use his Omnitrix to fight him. Luckily, the two got along just fine no thanks to Allen's affability and Ben's friendly, outgoing nature, with Allen reminded of his life with his friends in the Black Order before he had to go on the run. Allen, wistful of his old life, was grateful to have made a friend who shared his compulsion to save others no matter what, as the life of an exorcist and especially one as loyal to his ideals as he is can be tough. Ben did ask Allen to never wear this look again, with Allen humorously agreeing to his new friend's request.
  • His ascension doesn't mean that Allen can slack off on his exorcist training. Allen's swordsmanship with the Crowned Clown's sword form is amateurish at best and was training with Kanda before he came to the Pantheon. Knowing that he can't be complacent if he wants to save as many souls as he can, Allen sought out the best person who could teach him a few tips on using a giant sword. Everyone he asked pointed him to the way of Cloud Strife, God of Giant Swords, who agreed to teach the exorcist a few things. Allen had a hard time getting through to Cloud at first, reminded of Kanda's coldness and pragmatism that got them to squabble a lot when they first met. Cloud didn't exactly fit well with the cheerful, idealistic exorcist. Allen could see underneath the aloofness Cloud was suffering from trauma, and learned about how he created a fake past and personality to deal with it, not dissimilar to Allen himself. Having learned this, Allen was able to understand Cloud better. This showed through in Allen's swordsmanship as he incorporated Cloud's lessons better. Cloud could see that he'd begun to form a kinship with Allen, with the beansprout beginning to warm up to the former SOLDIER.
  • As an exorcist, Allen spends much of his time thwarting the evil plans of demon lords like Diablo, Demise, and Mephisto. However, of all the depravity Allen has encountered here since ascending he's had the most fascination with the hedonistic, narcissistic Dorian Gray. Gray's pleasure-seeking nature in contrast to his sinful existence was represented in his portrait, which mirrored his sins and turned ugly and old with each crime he committed while he himself remained young and beautiful until he destroyed the painting that he came to hate, killing himself. Allen could only be reminded of his arch-nemesis the Earl of Millennium, a monstrous Victorian England gentleman with a whimsical yet disturbing side. With the Earl's inner conflict represented in two separate existences in the past, Allen wanted to understand more about the psychology of Mr. Gray. Dorian, now immortal and able to destroy his painting whenever desiring to appease his guilt, didn't like Allen's presence for its reminder of Gray's sins and self-contradiction, aware of why the exorcist is so fascinated with him. As a result, Gray has barred Allen from entering his temple and avoided him whenever he can, unable to bear the exorcist's fascination with his inner evil.

[up] Since he's also a exorcist, how's an interaction with Alexander Anderson? Also what would Allen think of some the Angels like Archangel Michael, Imperius, Tyrael, Castiel, The Angels of Paradiso, and The Seven Heavenly Virtues? Also we have Noah in Pantheon.

So, uhh, sorry to dig up something from over 2 weeks ago but I just have a question.

RE: HamanaHamanaHamana (191905)

... the Pantheon is very confilcted in its stay in the current status of TVT and if we spill some of our mess to other pages, then its basically game over for us. The project is hanging by a thread on whether it would be deleted or not ...

I don't pay much attention to the site owners, but what do you meam by "The project is hanging by a thread on whether it would be deleted or not"? Are the moderators or the site owners thinking about deleting the Pantheon? If they are, why are they considering deleting it, and what rules are we even breaking in the Pantheon? Can you link me to some places where they bring it up?

I hope this isn't too big of a question.

Those are four questions.

Going to explain this are thoroughly as I could. In regards to how moderators see the Pantheon, there are mods from the highest galaxy questioning the purpose of the Pantheon in regards to it being seen by them as a platform for a Fan Fic which TVT does not want to host. There is also the fact this forum has had a few scuffles over itself as years passed which haha, its way fewer than the political discussions on this site that mods are more involved in which is absurd its singled out.

These are all true, no denying that and you can easily argue this is random fiction project. However, I believe what justifies the Pantheon is that the project creates an interesting lens on how media connects with each other. To say it, the Pantheon really is one of if not the biggest interconnected piece fanmase projects out there that uses the unique structure of TVT to construct a world around itself. Many would see it as a shill-machine and while that has been a issue especially in the past, the Pantheon has grown to be this giant experimental attraction that has so many unseen readers to it. Trying to get rid of it would be like getting rid of YMMV or any interpretive discussion on this site at all. TVT is a unique site because it analyzes the conventions of media with opinions and the Pantheon is another important flavor to it. If there is an effort to get rid of the Pantheon, then I guess there would also be the day the site’s leadership entirely wants the site to be more objective and rid of creative expression. Needless to say, we know what happened to Tumblr when it tried restraining its users.

Going to be frank, I doubt nearly all of those against the Pantheon’s existence has seen its current state and still think its 2012. Even the TVT’s owner saw the value of the Pantheon considering he allowed the project after all these years. We arent hanging by a thread since getting rid of the Pantheon is stupidly more trouble than it is worth and a person might as well initiate a dystopian amount of creativity purging as well. Again, Tumblr. We arent hanging by a thread but we dont want to exert ourselves beyond and subsequently pull other parts of the site too, which is something that no side of the site should do anyhow. We’re a nexus point anyone can jump in, like a random sidegig that shouldnt interfere in other happenings. The biggest crisis we ever had was a guy trying to manipulate us to war with a youtube over a zelda speedrun. I have seen people do worse on this site in places where mods convene at and again, we’re somehow singled out. We have faith in our admins but like them, we have to cast a doubt on benevolence like they have to cast doubt on the benevolence on users too.

What do I know? Im considered a cancerous idiot here (with actually cancer now haha) and those are my two cents.

Thank you for the explanation, kind forum-dweller. So based on your response the debate is effectively over whether this counts as a fanfic.

@M1gami — Damn, sorry to hear about your personal predicament. Hope you'll get better soon. Also, just letting you know that I did give you an approval for your draft before, so you're at 4 as of writing this.

Beta draft for Jack and Ally from A Star is Born, an idea that I adopted from PhantomFire. For specific suggestions, any singers who connected with each other due to sharing similarities, especially if they have a Dark and Troubled Past? Anyone who had conflicting opinions about music like they did regarding Ally changing her style? Anyone who struggled with alcoholism and drugs that end up damaging their relationships and reputation and any examples that conclude with suicide like Jack does?

With that said, I'm still welcome for any additional ideas and thoughts.

Jackson "Jack" Maine and Ally Campana Co-Performing Deities of Conflicting Musical Authenticity

Jackson (left) and Ally (right)
  • Quasideities
  • Symbol: A makeshift wedding ring made from a loop of a guitar string
  • Theme Song: Shallow and I'll Never Love Again by Lady Gaga (Ally) and Bradley Cooper (Jack)
  • Alignment: True Neutral, though Jack becomes Chaotic when Drunk
  • Portfolio: Music Mentor and Apprentice who become Romantically Involved and later Marry, Past-Driven Grievances which makes them Connect with One Another, Missing Moms, Pygmalion Plot, End Up having Differing Views on Ally's Change of Style in her Music
  • Domains: Music, Love, Difference, Dysfunctionality, Tragedy
  • Heralds: Charlie (their pet dog), Bobby (Jack's older half-brother)
  • Allies:
  • Opposes:
  • Jackson Maine was a popular country rock singer who, despite his success, struggles to deal with an addiction to drugs and alcohol in his personal life. Despite this hardship, things begin to look up when he sees a tribute performance by a waitress named Ally Campana and is impressed enough to convince her to pursue a singing career in spite of her failed previous attempt. Eventually, the two join together in Jack's next concert, performing Shallow and developing a romantic relationship during their tour. Things take a sharp turn downward when an altercation between Jack and his manager/half-brother, Bobby severs ties over a personal matter, and Ally meets Rez Gavron, a record producer who convinces Ally to sign a contract with him. Despite Jack supporting her decision, Ally's music changes from Country to commercial Pop, which, despite increased success and fame, alienated her relationship with Jack as he feels her sound doesn't sound organic and is instead too commercialized. Regardless, the two get married and Bobby is reunited with his brother, but issues persist when Jack's alcoholism ruins several big moments for him and his wife, especially when Ally is nominated for three Grammy Awards and wins one for Best New Artist and a drunken Jack uncontrollably urinates himself, further alienating himself from everyone and being forced into rehab and counseling even confessing to suicidal thoughts and having tinnitus, which had been getting worse. Despite managing to reconcile, Jack and Ally try to work things out, only for Rez to demoralize Jack and Ally lying to him about canceling her own tour being the last straw for Jack who commits suicide by hanging himself once he's alone. Later on, Ally makes a singing performance as a tribute to her late husband, singing a song written by him that he never finished and addressing herself as Ally Maine.
  • Jack's premature death would not end his story, for he would instead end up in a world that would come across as unfamiliar. He awakened in a garage, dazed and was stunned to see that his surroundings did not look like his native Maine. He trotted around to make sure of what was going on, eventually realizing that he was in a whole new world. He caught wind of a musical performance being played at what was called a House, which puzzled Jack further as it didn't mean the conventional term of one's residential building. Eventually, he realized the world he's in is known as the Pantheon and that he was to be a permanent resident due to his death. Jack discovered that, in addition to how he ended his life, his own life experiences, all the way from childhood, his personal demons, and his first meeting with Ally, to their eventual marriage and high points were known by several beings who were referred to as deities, who also declared Jack as one, given that he was chosen to represent his claims of his preferred genre being real and authentic whereas mainstream is manufactured and ungenuine, alluding to his conflicting beliefs against his style of music and Ally's later down their marriage.
    • Seeking questions, Jack decided to ask somebody either in the Houses of Musicality and Despondency about the Pantheon and his own predicament in being brought to a new realm. One of the answers surprised him; he's meant to represent his position together with Ally, but given his death, there's been a delay, though with Ally's own performance to commemorate Jack's memory, a chance of luck sparked, with which Ally was given an invitation to the Pantheon. The two had a bittersweet reunion with offers of support and well-being being given to the two of them. Jack and Ally visited Despondency first to discuss Jack's needs and what can be done to improve his situation, even if most of it has to be done by himself. Jack remains adamant in continuing to perform music and is happy that Musicality gets to be his and Ally's main domain. On a brighter side, Jack is happy to learn that Ally is continuing her success in music as well as doing the best to make sure her material is natural and self-assured.
