Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Did some minor updates on these four's profile. Still looking for potential enemies for them? Maybe Palpatine? Aku?

General Rokurōta Makabe, Princess Yuki, Tahei and Matashichi, Deified Representatives of MacGuffin Escort Missions

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/e844a11b_69da_4285_99c7_da10f4084951.jpeg
From left to right: Matashichi, Tahei, Yuki, and Rokurōta
  • House: Narrative Objects
  • Demideities
  • Symbol: The Akizuki crescent
  • Theme Song: “The Hidden Fortress - Main Theme”
  • Alignment: Lawful Good (Rokurōta), Chaotic Good (Princess Yuki), Chaotic Neutral (Tahei and Matashichi)
  • Portfolio: Live-Action Escort Mission
  • Domains: Escort, Adventure, Samurai
  • Allies: Sanjuro, the Seven Samurai, Ashitaka, Nathan Algren, Therion of the Eight Travellers, Princess Leia Organa
  • Rivals: Heishiro Mitsurugi (Rokurōta)
  • Enemies:
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: C-3PO and R2-D2 (Tahei and Matashichi)
  • Headbutting Heroes with: San (Princess Yuki)
  • In feudal Japan, two greedy peasants, Tahei and Matashichi, were returning home from a failed attempt to profit from a war between neighboring clans. En route, they cross paths with the remnants of the defeated Akizuki tribe that notably consists of General Rokurōta Makabe and Princess Yuki, who needed to escape into allied territory with their large supply of gold to rebuild their shattered clan (although the two peasants were unaware of their status when they first encounter them). To do this the Peasants are tricked into helping them, with the promise that they will receive a large share of the gold when the destination is reached. Along the way, the General's prowess is put to the test as he must guide the four, and later five with the inclusion of a freed slave, through close encounters with the pursuing enemy, and out of difficult situations the bumbling peasants manage to get them into. In the end, the two peasants were rewarded with one piece of ryō while the rest of the gold would be used for Yuki’s territory.
  • A while after those events occurred, Tahei and Matashichi were still wandering down the road, though still with the piece of gold, when they came across a ronin named Sanjuro, who was walkin the opposite path. The two peasants were initially confused, thinking that the ronin was Rokurōta, asking why he is here for them. The ronin doesn’t care for their questions, dragging them with him. When they reached their destination, which is the Pantheon’s Main House, they ended up seeing Rokurōta and Yuki, who were also brought into the House. It turns out that they were brought because of their escort mission back in their world.
  • Of course, Sanjuro wouldn’t be the only samurai that the four would encounter in the Pantheon as he introduced them to a few others. For the most part, they are on good terms with the Seven Samurai, respecting their decision to defend a peasant village from a group of bandits, although Kambei sometimes gets annoyed by the two peasants. Nathan Algren was also respectful of the princess and the peasant duo (more on that later)
    • At times, Rokurōta would find himself being challenged in a duel with Heishiro Mitsurugi, a ronin who above all else, desires a good fight. Usually, the fights involve either swords or lances, but in the end, they do have some respect towards each other.
  • Princess Yuki was interested in befriending San as she does admire San enjoying a lot of freedom for a girl living in her time, what with her being raised by wolves. However, San does not share this interest as she hates humans, let alone those of the noble class if her experience with such people back in her home world suggests anything, though at the very least she would come to admire Yuki’s bravery. That admiration was shared by Ashitaka, whom Yuki would be on better terms with, especially taking note of the prince’s combat skills and his ability to help end a conflict between two warring sides.
  • One of several deities whom Tahei and Matashichi actually got along with is Therion, who had a similar situation as he was tasked in retrieving the remaining Dragonstones in exchange for the removal of the Fool’s Bangle. At times, the two peasants would even partner with the thief whenever they’re not with their respective groups.
  • Given that their film ended up serving as one of the inspirations for a certain story from a galaxy far, far away, it would be a matter of time before the four would meet up with several deities from the Star Wars universe. In particular, Yuki seems to get along well with Leia Organa given their Rebellious Princess attitude as well as both of them having their respective home territories destroyed. Meanwhile, the two peasants were surprised with a few similarities between them and C-3PO and R2-D2. At best, Tahei, Matashichi, C-3PO, and R2 would tolerate each other out of necessity, but 3PO finds himself easily offended by their crude attitude, notably with several times the two peasants have tried to dismantle the robots to get at the metal inside, only to get caught and scolded by the others.

Hinawa, Patron Saint of Sunflowers (Amber) (3 thumbs)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/761231_hinawa_7.jpg
Hinawa
  • Potential House: Trees and Flowers
  • Quasideity
  • Symbol: A single sunflower. Alternatively, a picture of her with her sons and husband.
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Good Parents, Killed Off for Real, Missing Mom to Lucas, those too Pure for the World
  • Domains: Flowers, Mothers, Death
  • Allies: Lucas, Toriel, Frisk, Seita and Setsuko, Flowey and his Confidants, Harry and his Dinosaurs, Bix, Neweyes' Dinosaurs, The Bloom and Doom Seed Co. Plants
  • Opposes: Galeem, Dharkon, Ragyo Kiryuin, Monika Drevis
  • Odd Friendship with: Mufasa, Simba, The Gang of Seven, the Brontosaurus
  • Pities: Flowey, Asgore, those with deceased mothers, Speckles
  • Conflicting Opinion: Porky Minch, Aya Drevis
  • Avoids: Indominus rex and Indoraptor, One Eye
  • A kind soul, Hinawa was once a human woman who lived with her family in the Nowhere Island. She however, perished after facing a mechanical Tyrannosaurus rex known as a "Mecha Drago", with one of its fangs having pierced her heart. Even so, she appears as a spirit, once to help Lucas escape and once to save Claus from Porky's manipulation.
    • One day, Lucas is exploring the house of Trees and Flowers when he ends up in a vast field of sunflowers. He wanders through the place until eventually, he sees a ghostly woman; Hinawa, his mother. He then aproaches her, crying. After Lucas told them about his mother and her story, the Main Gods decides to make her a Goddess of Sunflowers.
  • Her temple takes the appearance of a vast field of sunflowers. Lucas would often visit it to mingle with his mom and collect flowers.
  • Shortly after her ascension, she finds out about Toriel, who is known for raising a few children, including Frisk. Hearing about her endeavor, she praises them and gets along with the two swimmingly, even comparing the two with herself and Lucas. After this encounter, she found out about Asgore. She pities him, due to his association with golden flowers, like she does, and his actions causing his wife to turn her back on him. She often mingles with him, mainly to comfort him.
  • She usually appears in the Pantheon as a spirit, mainly towards Lucas and most non-hostile child deities. Due to this, she develops a friendship with Mufasa, who also appears in ghost form, despite one being a lion and the other being a human. Incidentally, this also earns her a friendship with Simba. More recently, she could also appear in the Pantheon as a human thanks to some requests from Lucas, allowing him to interact with her better.
  • Surprisingly, she gets along with Flowey, despite his apparent hostility towards her and to the chagrin and bafflement of most. In truth, Flowey is actually not only friendly towards her, he behaves and reminds her very much of Lucas, her own son during his days as a monster. Hinawa sympathizes with him mainly because of his predicament. She was also made aware of his Confidants, and that Frisk leads them.
  • Once, Galeem captured her spirit and forces her into his army of Puppet Fighters. When Hinawa discovered Galeem and Dharkon is in the Pantheon, she doesn't really take it well. Galeem and Dharkon (mainly the former) have become some of the few deities she truly dislikes.
  • Even she felt sorry for Porky Minch to an extent, mainly because of his childhood and backstory, being seemingly on bad terms with his parents and may or may not have been corrupted by Giygas. Still, she doesn't really like him due to him being responsible for her demise.
  • She obviously displays sympathy for those with deceased mothers (or just parents in general). When she heard about the tale of Seita and Setsuko, who have lost their parents and ultimately perished in a war, she appeared before them and told them that she pities and cares about them. They are grateful, and Hinawa will often mingle with them, them treating her as a parent.
  • There are various dinosaurs in the Pantheon similar to the Dragos Hinawa and her children used to play with. Her opinions about them vary:
    • She generally doesn't wander too close to Indominus rex and Indoraptor, since the genetically engineered dinosaurs reminds him of the Mecha-Drago, a cyborg dinosaur that did her in. Others, such as Rexie, can be tolerated by her, though she is wary about them antagonizing Lucas.
    • A dinosaur she does get along with is Littlefoot and the gang. She sympathizes with Littlefoot due to his mother being killed by Sharptooth, similar to her death in the hands of the Mecha-Drago. She's also friends with Harry and his dinosaurs, Bix, and Neweyes' dinosaurs due to them being as friendly as the Dragos back on her island.
    • Another dinosaur she opposes is One Eye, a Tyrannosaurus rex that has killed the mother of Speckles, a Tarbosaurus. She took pity of Speckles for the same reasons as Littlefoot. Especially considering how truly sadistic the dinosaur is in dealing with its prey, she considers him a threat and is worried that he might try to go after Lucas.
    • She heard the story of the Brontosaurus of the Lost World, who was taken away against its will by humans who want to make it an attraction. She felt pity of it, especially considering her homeland dealt with the Pigmasks who does detestable things, such as experimentation, to wildlife, somewhat paralleling what the dinosaur had dealt with. She even sometimes mingles with it.
  • There are a few mothers in the Pantheon she's not fond of. This includes Ragyo Kiryuin and Monika Drevis, the former for doing horrid things to her daughters, such as attacking one of them and throwing the other into the garbage, and betraying humanity to the Life Fibers, the latter for essentially trying to manipulate her daughter and wanting to make her a serial killer. As for Aya herself, Hinawa is a bit wary about her, given her dangerous, even sadistic tendencies such as killing animals, and the possibility that she might attempt to hurt Lucas.
  • Hinawa later found out about some sunflower-related deities here. One such candidate are the Bloom and Doom plants, which she enjoys having company. The Sunflower in particular caught her interest, and she considers them a means of defense against any threats towards Lucas and his allies.

[up] Cut the page by sending it to the cutlist, reason being it's less than 4 deities (minimum for a subpage). I'll move that entry to Netflix.

  • Pitied by/Pities:

  • Conflicting Opinion: The Medic (Derek can tolerate him, Angie despises him)
  • Usually, in most games, healing is not a big issue, and can be solved with potions, food, sleep, or exiting combat. Sometimes, it takes a bit of effort, or it's just plain impossible to get sick or injured (though death is still an option). In a Medical Game, the treatment of illnesses/injuries/infections is the main point. Enter the Trauma Center games.
  • Derek Stiles grew up in Northridge, a suburb just outside Angeles Bay. After losing his father to an incurable disease (and losing his cat in a car accident before or after that), this started his resolve to become a doctor. His story begins as a surgeon at Hope Hospital in Angeles Bay, just about to complete his residency there and eager to start operating as a full time surgeon. He used to have the assistance of Nurse Mary Fulton before she had to transfer to another hospital, newcomer nurse Angela Thompson taking her place as Derek's aide. While mostly professional, Angie also tends to be moody and prone to outbursts, but is still just as dedicated to her job as Derek is.
    • Their story begins in full force upon the discovery of a series of bioweapons known as GUILT, designed with the intent to cause pain and death to those infected by it. It comes right after the discovery of something in Derek: the Healing Touch, a supernatural ability meant to help surgeons with their operations. The results vary, but for Derek, it slows down time for a few minutes. Partly in thanks to this gift, Derek was eventually invited to the international organization Caduceus (with Angie shortly following suit), which is at the forefront in combating Delphi, the terrorist group responsible for GUILT. Several operations later, all the strains of GUILT have been stopped, and Delphi is tracked down and its members arrested, putting an end to their threat to the world.
    • Another thing to note is that Angie has close ties to GUILT, so to speak, in that her father Dr. Kenneth Blackwell was blackmailed to create GUILT, and did so to keep Angie from becoming a living incubator of GUILT. While he has been rescued, she has not forgiven him for his actions, though he continues to atone after that.
    • That said, GUILT would surface once again three years later, though Derek and Angie would first deal with Post-GUILT Syndrome patients after coming back from Costigar, Africa with new "recruit" Dr. Adel Tulba. And then GUILT itself would resurface, thanks to Delphi remnants, and worse Derek would lose access to the Healing Touch for a while after failing to save a patient (out of four in succession), the pressure getting to him, just as his mentor Dr. Robert Hoffman feared years ago, having suffered that burden himself. He would take a break at Hope Hospital for about a month before Angie visits him and they visit her father who's under probation and helping clean up the mess Delphi made, but when he contracts PGS, Derek finally gets his Healing Touch back after getting his act together, and Derek and Angie eventually return to Caduceus, continuing the fight against GUILT, eventually putting a stop to Delphi for good, exposing that Acropolis and HOA has been utilizing GUILT (now called NEO-GUILT) in certain medicines of theirs as "ability enhancements" (to the point of mimicking the Healing Touch) thanks to Blackwell's espionage, arresting the implicit top brass, and eliminating NEO-GUILT for good as well.
  • Their ascension to the Pantheon came in the form of a Court envoy sent to Caduceus and requesting for the pair, who were just returning days after overseeing Dr. Markus Vaughn and Dr. Valerie Blaylock test out simulation operations against Stigma strains plus GUILT strains. After a lengthy talk with the envoy, Director Hoffman decided that it would be best that Derek and Angie accompany the envoy Dr. Black Jack to their new assigned location: the Trope Pantheons.
  • Applies to both:
    • Naturally, Derek and Angie were first acquainted with the doctors in the House of Health and Diseases, starting with Black Jack himself, given Caduceus has a few shrines dedicated to him. They're amazed at his speed, and that it's all from his body, no mystical Healing Touch necessary.
      • While a nurse, they revere Florence Nightingale for revolutionizing the profession and making sanitation mandatory.
      • Their first big step towards accepting the strange was the salarian doctor Mordin Solus, who was additionally a proficient fighter to boot, given the criminal environment Shepard first found him operating at.
      • SCP-2295 was a massive curiosity, being able to replace organs and patch up skin with plushie materials and they somehow work like the real thing.
      • While the Medic's tech and speed of healing is revolutionary, his practices, mercenary career, and (lack of) ethics prove problematic for them to deal with. Still, after one operation where Derek and Angie had to treat the Heavy after being infected by an anomalous parasite using the Medic's tools (and Angie being critical of their filth before cleaning them), and the fact that he considers his colleagues as friends, Derek can tolerate him at best, while Angie loathes him for his loss of his medical license on top of everything else he's done.
      • Fran Madaraki is another they found unsettling due to her skewed anti-death morality, despite her unparalleled surgery skills, and because of the mutations she's made thanks to those skills. But her rules are relatively easy to follow to keep her sort-of under control. That said, when it comes to heart operations, she sometimes offers to "modify" Derek, though he always turns her down.
      • Outside of the House of Health and Diseases, they were acquainted with Dr. Tenma, his skills as a neurosurgeon, his unending optimism, and his mission to stop Johan Liebert.
      • They were also acquainted with Navy Corpsmen Pacific Assault Squad member James Broderick Sullivan and Flag Raiser John Henry "Doc" Bradley, who have both treated battlefield casualties in the jungles and islands of the Pacific Theater. Derek and Angie are no strangers to medical operations in a warzone, given their time at Costigar.
    • They were once approached by the Lagaard guild and thanked for providing much needed medical supplies, but neither Derek nor Angie remember them or ever being in High Lagaard. Still, the aid is appreciated, and Derek has even considered teaching his art to their (and the other guilds') Medics.
    • As doctors, they oppose those who would promote death, especially death cults such as Delphi was, and those who specifically design diseases to bring that about, having stopped every strain of GUILT they encountered.
    • A surgeon is supposed to have as much of their attention as possible on a patient that needs saving. While turbulence, reckless driving, and darkness may be tolerated since those can't be helped, live media coverage with lighting and flashes will not be tolerated by Angie, even if Derek will try to persevere amidst it anyway. Reality TV with real operations isn't tolerated either, and two other Caduceus doctors eventually put a stop to one such show.
    • Medical malpractice of any kind is not something they'd want to repeat, having been directed by the government to implant a pacemaker with a tracker in a Delphi mole, who would then be "set free" for him to return to his base.
    • (oppose those who would do unspeakable things for the sake of beauty/youth, just as President Reina Mayuzumi of Acropolis has)
    • The operations they've had to perform in the Pantheon has led to enemies as well.
      • There was one operation on a patient who was infected with Thrax, and he proved more challenging to deal with than even the GUILT strains Savato and Aletheia since he's actually sapient.
      • There was also another on a recently "impregnated" Facehugger victim when they were in the area. Usually, they're just written off as doomed, but Derek wanted to save the victim and the patient was taken to the operating room (and Ripley was already contacted ). Not being given enough time to grow inside the victim, the Chest Burster was much weaker than it should've been, though still proved challenging for Derek to handle, especially since unlike GUILTnote , this infant Xenomorph made to attack Derek himself, though his Healing Touch instincts kept him from getting hurt as it found itself decapitated by his scalpelnote  (the xenomorph infant was that weak).
      • He suffered a minor breakdown after the operation, given this was the first time he's killed a living thing that wasn't a virus/parasite/bioweapon, but Ripley (who arrived near the end of the operation) assured him that he did the right thing. Also, "prequel" events have revealed that the Xenomorphs were indeed bioweapons that eventually Turned Against Their Masters and were on the loose ever since.

  • Exclusive to Derek:
    • The secret to Derek's success is the Healing Touch, which slows time to a crawl from his perspective as he operates on the patient in record time, though he's been recommended to make do without it as often as possible to conserve his mental stamina and only use it for critical diseases that are as dangerous as GUILT has been.
      • A Healing Touch used subconsciously out of desperation costs the doctor nothing and can last quite a while, while an intentional one exhausts the user and last for a brief time proportional to their focus. Two different Healing Touches can be used in concert without interfering with each other. Meanwhile, two of the same Healing Touch will stack. This includes those from the same doctor (a.k.a. Derek) using a desperation healing touch and an intentional one simultaneously.
    • If worse comes to worst, as long as there's an expert to instruct him, and he has his tools, he can even defuse a bomb, and disarm certain electronic locks.
    • Despite his expertise, he's just one surgeon, and can only operate on one patient at a time. Thankfully, in the Pantheon, there are several advanced healing methods to close up wounds fast when he has to operate in succession.
    • Is slow at working out puzzles, and gets regularly mocked for it.
    • Despite the last time he had cameras and sensors wired up to him, Derek's willing to have his operations recorded if it can help other surgeons. He'd just prefer that they aren't artificially enhanced like Acropolis Pharmaceutical and the Hands of Asclepius have done with their doctors and Adel Tulba, and using NEO-GUILT as "ability enhancers". Time-related abilities should work just fine, though.
  • Exclusive to Angie:
    • Because she never got it back at Caduceus or Hope Hospital, several are unafraid to give her flak over the things she's done (including suggesting to a depressed patient that they should just die, even if this isn't actually unique to Angie), though they also state that she's tolerated because of Derek and because she pretty much keeps him in line in regards to non-surgeon matters, particularly to remind him to do his paperwork. Interestingly, in certain other matters, he's the more mature one compared to her.
    • Despite not looking the type who would have the discipline to study it, Angie is proficient in aikido.
    • (dislikes parents who do all sorts of atrocities just to spare their children, even if it's because of ransom, as her father did)
    • "Nice work, Dr. Stiles!"

Copernica, Goddess of Robots With Magic (Coco)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/120006_1.png
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Symbol: Her book
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Robot Wizard, Black Mage, Elemental Powers of Fire, Frost, And Storm, Conjuring Barriers, Can Smack Foes With A Book To Reduce Their Magic Power, The Blue To Armilly's Red, Aesthetic Glasses, Squishy Wizard
  • Domain(s): Steambots, Magic, Knowledge
  • Heralds: Her friends Armilly and Galleo, plus Orik, Tarah and Thayne
  • High Priestess: Penny Polendina
  • Followers: Dragon, Warforged wizards and psions, Sophia, The Defect, The Wizard
  • Allies: Palom and Porom, Cutie Honey, Aerith Gainsborough, Atsuko Kagari, Jaina Proudmoore, the Magic Knights, Teana Lanster, Vivi Ornitier, Wendy Marvell, Ruby Rose
  • Enemies: Cinder Fall, Mysterio, Frost, the Seven (except Starlight)
  • Opposes: both Gilgameshes
  • When it comes to technology, it has a varying relation with magic. While they're usually at each other's throats, they sometimes meld too. And when it comes to robots, them possibly using magic can be a murky subject that involves debates on whether they have souls.
  • Copernica is a steambot who used to study in the University of Magic, but dropped out because she disapproved of their selectivity on who can learn magic and because she wanted to practice her art outside their stuffy labs and libraries. She wanted to "deploy knowledge practically, for the good of the many".
  • Her story (shared with her best friend, who's actually the main protagonist) begins when she and Armilly went foraging in the woods for a Peppermint Puffer mushroom to clean up the well in their village of Goosebucket. When they returned, they found Goosebucket being set ablaze by the Void Army, and the local Heroes Guild abducted. Being the only ones available to fight them, the two (plus their friend Galleo) took matters in their own hands to rescue the Guild.
    • But when the Guild proved to be nothing but Dirty Cowards, it became clear that the Fellowship (now with the addition of the veteran Orik (former sidekick of the legendary and fallen hero Gilgamech), with the sibling thieves Tarah and Thayne joining up later) was the Realm's only hope of stopping the Void Army from unleashing the Necronomicog to reshape the world by awakening the Behemoth.
    • Long story short, while they stopped the Void Army and confronted Gilgamech, they couldn't stop him from awakening Behemoth, but they were able to vanquish it once and for all. As for what happened to Copernica after, she became the new principal of the University of Magic given the previous one, her mentor Hypathia, had been in cahoots with the Void Army (forcing the Fellowship to take her down) and opened it for everyone willing to learn.
  • That said, it turns out there was another candidate to this claim; Atlas android Penny Pollendina, due to inheritance of the Winter Maiden powers as well as generating an Aura when only those with a soul can (even if it's thanks to her "father" Pietro providing his for it). However, the title went to Copernica not only because of "hype prevention" on her "competitor", but because the steambot has a much wider repertoire of spells, not to mention still being a robot by the end of the adventure, unlike Penny, whose virus-infected robot body was transferred out of her soul by the Staff of Creation, causing a new one (which is most probably without any robot-ness) to be made from her own soul. She was also present in the Pantheon already as Nu-13's High Priestess. Still, no hard feelings were had with either, and given that she's left her mortal coil (passing her Maiden powers to Winter Schnee), Penny was resurrected in her robot body, and implanted a firewall to ensure that she cannot be hacked so easily again.
  • During the ascension ceremony, she got into conversation with many of her neighbors, who were intrigued with her very nature as a machine able to cast magic. After learning that she was teaching magic in her world after the Behemoth was vanquished, Palom invited her to join him in teaching (applications of) "black magic" at Elysium Academy (since how she learned magic might be different from his). Porom sees no issues here and finds Copernica to be an okay person, even if the idea of a Robot Wizard is still something to get used to.
  • Was attacked at her (one of two) temple(s) one day by Cinder Fall, who coveted the powers of the Winter Maiden (yet only now noticed her existence) and wondered if the resurrected Penny still had them now that she's Back from the Dead, or if they were gone for good and at the hands of Winter Schnee. Due to a lack of need for extreme mobility back in her realm (usually leaving that to Orik), Copernica was a sitting duck for most of the fight, requiring Penny to intercede multiple times whenever the Fall Maiden went for the steambot. Eventually, the commotion drew her neighbors in, and Ruby Rose herself was already en route, wanting to see Penny again (not knowing of Cinder's attack yet). Once The Cavalry arrived, Cinder contended with all the meddlers, but as soon as Ruby entered the scene, after exchanging several blows with her, she saw that her odds of success have become too low and beat a hasty retreat.
    • After thanking her neighbors for pitching in, Copernica was also approached by Ruby and thanked for helping protect Penny, even if the steambot confesses to having needed protection by Penny numerous times.
  • Given the fact that the Houses of Science and Magic are usually at odds with one another, Copernica's mere existence is seen as a novelty, curiosity, or even an affront. What's more, she's a steam-powered robot, rather than electricity-powered like most robots in the Pantheon, which also make her not easily hack-able, just like Agatha Heterodyne's clanks.
  • In regards to her array of spells, she has all manner of Fire, Frost, and Storm spells, and can even put an opponent to sleep (though only once per engagement), increase or decrease resistances to/increase power in casting those elements, etc. Notably, her Meteor does Frost damage rather than Fire.
    • She expends Steam Pressure (SP) to cast her more powerful spells, and builds up SP with basic attacks (Book Bash that also reduces a target's magic power) or "cantrip"-level spells (like a Mana Barrier, a fire whip, a blast of electricity), raise her own magic, conjure a reflective barrier against Fire, Frost, and Storm-element magic, or even make herself a Glass Cannon by buffing her magic attacks the cost of much of her resistances. She can also "weaponize" her Doubt by making it absorb elemental attacks at the cost of her momentarily malfunctioning.
    • As for how her magic works in the Pantheon since she's the only ascended steambot so far, she's not limited to eight "punch cards" per battle and can use all of her abilities, so long as she has the SP to cast the more powerful ones. As for how SP works for her, it builds up as normal, and when allies perform certain abilities, though only half as effectively as a steambot could.
  • Dislikes "heroes" who engineer their own incidents or just desire glory above all else, given Gilgamech fit neatly in both categories and caused Armilly, who worshipped his achievements, to briefly suffer a Heroic BSoD. In one world, Mysterio counted for both, and so do Frost, and the Seven (though she holds some exception for Starlight given her circumstances).
    • As for the people named Gilgamesh, she likes neither of them, the Lancer for his massive ego, and the multi-armed sword hunter for his obsession. At least she has nothing he wants.
  • Given they're also robots with supernatural non-scientific abilities, Aigis and Labrys (plus Mitsuru) visited as well, curious as to how Copernica and her magic worked as well as wanting to make another friend. That said, given the nature of the story of Steamworld Quest, which is a fictional work inside a fictional work (Steamworld Dig, Dig 2, and Heist), and the possibility that it's a standard fantasy tale whose characters were "re-translated" into steambots, there likely isn't any explanation; it's just inexplicably possible.
    • Eventually, Copernica learned of the TV World and of the Shadows there, and it reminds her of those shadow doubles the Fellowship fought on the way to Gilgamech's keep. Curious to see them, she plans to request for a trip there one day.
  • (Those whose mentors turned out to be working for evil)
  • (using robots as resources for stuff, just like Archdruid Bob with his Moonjuice, enemies with Madame Gasket and Phineas Ratchet)

I'd like some examples of the last two, please.

I lay down on the grass, which was very short and soft, where I slept sounder than ever I remembered to have done in my life, and, as I reckoned, about nine hours: for when I awaked, it was just day-light, I attempted to rise, but was not able to stir: for, as I happened to lie on my back, I found my arms and legs were strongly fastened on each side to the ground, and my hair, which was long and thick, tied down in the same manner. I likewise felt several slender ligatures across my body, from my arm-pits to my thighs. I could only look upwards: the sun began to grow hot, and the light offended my eyes. I heard a confused noise about me: but in the posture I lay, could see nothing except the sky. In a little time I felt something alive moving on my left leg, which advancing gently forward over my breast, came almost up to my chin; when, bending my eyes downwards as much as I could, I perceived it to be a human creature not six inches high, with a bow and arrow in his hands, and a quiver at his back. In the mean time, I felt at least forty more of the same kind (as I conjectured) following the first.

Lemuel Gulliver, the Holy Tied-Down "Titan"

  • Opposes: The vast majority of human or humanoid deities.
  • Conflicting Opinion: Captain Nemo
  • Is Prohibited from Making Contact with: The Antagonist
  • Admires: The Houyhnhnms
  • Resume: Pupil at Emanuel College in Cambridge, and later at Leyden [Leiden] University in Holland. Apprentice Surgeon (James Bates), Maritime surgeon on the Swallow (Capt. Abraham Pannel), Antelope (Capt. William Prichard, May 4, 1699 - November 5, 1699), Adventure (Capt. John Nicholas, June 20, 1702 - June 17, 1703), and Hopewell (Capt. William Robinson, Aug. 5, 1706 - May 1707). Captain of the Adventurer (Sep. 7, 1710 - May 1711). Currently unemployed.
  • Before this whole misanthropy conundrum befell him, Lemuel Gulliver was actually really sociable; part of the reason for his love of voyages was to become acquainted with the cultures and languages of the peoples he encountered. This is why, during those life-changing four adventures, he didn't have too much of a problem absorbing the tongues of the races he met.
  • One cannot converse about Gulliver without discussing his first stop: Lilliput. The enormous size difference between him and the natives, in short, was both a terror and a fascination. As hard as his arrival turned out to be, the next few weeks gave him some opportunities to aid them in more than one difficult struggle.
  • The utmost of labors the Emperor was to provide him, the capture of Blefuscu, at first seemed to be one of gilded honor. The reality soon came, shortly afterward, when the Emperor made clear his intentions with Blefuscu and the refugees that took refuge there: His majesty desired I would take some other opportunity of bringing all the rest of his enemy's ships into his ports. And so unmeasurable is the ambition of princes, that he seemed to think of nothing less than reducing the whole empire of Blefuscu into a province, and governing it, by a viceroy: of destroying the Big-endian exiles, and compelling that people would break the smaller end of their eggs, by which he would remain the sole monarch of the whole world. But I endeavoured to divert him from this design, by many arguments drawn from the topics of policy as well as justice; and I plainly protested, "that I would never be an instrument of bringing a free and brave people into slavery." His disagreement with Lilliput's choice to absorb Blefuscu became the first piece of evidence bringing him closer to his death sentence, an announcement that drove him to swim away to the opposing island. In asking the Blefuscudians for aid, he managed to sail off before the Lilliputian Emperor could finalize the execution.
  • Brobdingnag, the isolated nation of giants, saw the sir under the supervision of that island's royals; contrary to common sense, they did not entirely view Gulliver's smallness as too much of an oddity because their servant was a comparatively-short 30 ft (Whereas typical adults there stood twice said servant's height). Much in the same way that the foliage and wildlife of Lilliput and Blefuscu were analogous to how they might size up to normally-sized people, Brobdingnagian organisms are also relative to the size of the people but far larger.
  • Even moreso, though, his occupation in the area was a scarring experience. Combine the possibility of being flattened underfoot any day with being tagged as a traveling acrobat every minute and every hour, and you receive the perfect storm.
    • Being used as a toy for, ahem, intimate vices, and witnessing a public beheading in all its sanguine grandeur, are also reason to feel irreversibly squicked. Justifiably, this was the first step in his path to spiting humankind.
  • While overall undesirable, one aspect of the island provided him a much-needed mental cushion. This young girl was so handy, spoke regarding one of the mistress' children, that after I had once or twice pulled off my clothes before her, she was able to dress and undress me, though I never gave her that trouble when she would let me do either myself. From then on, Glumdalclitch, as Gulliver began to call her, toured him nationwide at her superiors' request
  • The voyage just after, to Laputa (Eh, not that one), became a mind-numbingly stale expedition in relatively little time. The inhabitants were uneven-eyed geeks who only ever spoke of music and mathematics, darn all the other subjects. Although the sir had ample awareness of both arts, the whole lack of variety otherwise left him without a good reason to stay there as long as he had in his previous two outings. Their king was apparently so much an expert on those two fields that it fried his cranium and cost him the ability to effectively chit-chat with people, in addition to requiring roughly an hour's time just to be aware that someone in plain sight might be nearby. For the cherry on top, the men aren't especially concerned when their wives have the nerve to commit extramarital actions (Which is very often); said men would just dedicate their time to devising over-the-top calculus equations and it seemed like nothing changed at all.
    • Their outward garments were adorned with the figures of suns, moons, and stars; interwoven with those of fiddles, flutes, harps, trumpets, guitars, harpsichords, and many other instruments of music, unknown to us in Europe, spoke Gulliver regarding the Laputians' fashion sense. Although equally as uneven as their household architecture or comprehension of subjects that are not arithmetic or melody, one must harbor the suspicion that such aesthetic patterns would serve as inspiration for sorcerer robes, as if to evoke a sense of apartness from the common world.
  • Directly below lay the science-savvy dependency of Balnibarbi. As promising as the experimental prospects in their capital city appeared, not only did the premises turn Gulliver off (For instance, transforming fecal matter back into digestible product), but they simply were not performable. Because these practices didn't work at all, the natives lived in disrepair - and only served to drive the Briton closer to spiting his own species.
  • While waiting for a ship to travel homeward, Gulliver stopped by the nearby island of Glubbdubdrib, the citizens well-practiced in sorcery. The Governor in particular dabbled in necromancy; the sir was kind enough to let a number of deceased greats narrate the stories of their lives. I was chiefly disgusted with modern history, wrote the man upon learning about the extent to which humanity as a whole was uncouth, For having strictly examined all the persons of greatest name in the courts of princes, for a hundred years past, I found how the world had been misled by prostitute writers, to ascribe the greatest exploits in war, to cowards; the wisest council, to fools; sincerity, to flatterers; Roman virtue, to betrayers of their country... History, as he now understood, must have been written to honor the winners rather than the heroes.
  • The aforementioned vessel, once boarded, laid him over in Luggnagg. At first glance, the people were — for lack of more appropriate terminology — normal. Conversation with the denizens were to unveil that this land, too, housed a unique charm. In this case, the Struldbrugs. Immortal as they were, to be born one was undesirable above all else; they did not remain eternally young. At ninety, they lose their teeth and hair: they have at that age no distinction of taste, but eat and drink whatever they can get, without relish or appetite. The diseases they were subject to still continue, without increasing or diminishing. In talking, they forget the common appellation of things, and the names of persons, even of those who are their nearest friends and relations. For the same reason, they never can amuse themselves with reading, because their memory will not serve to carry them from the beginning of a sentence to the end; and by this defect, they are deprived of the only entertainment whereof they might otherwise be capable. It should not come as any surprise that Luggnaggian law considers Struldbrugs effectively dead by that point.
  • Gulliver was to become captain of his own vessel during the final voyage — until unfavorable circumstances led to him being mutinied. The land in which he found himself this time was populated by equine-like beings who viewed their plain-and-simple society as a utopia.
  • His respect for his hoofed supervisors deepened upon seeing the Yahoos, humans without the civilization and common sense of any he had run into before, to which the Houyhnhnms despised with all their might. My reconcilement to the Yahoo kind in general might not be so difficult, wrote the disenchanted human at the sight of these enslaved individuals, if they would be content with those vices and follies only which nature has entitled them to. Since their masters were not at all advocates of murder, war, or similar methods of instilling death, they had long been forced to resort to owning them as essentially useless livestock. Gulliver's arrival, imperatively, inspired them to utilize a previously-unknown middle ground...
  • The verdict that Gulliver's advanced state of intelligence in relation to the Yahoos might lead them to start an uprising prompted him to return to England one last time, in this case against his aspirations. His faith in humanity had already vanished in the months he spent in the Houyhnhnms' company, and to be booted on those grounds was nothing short of melancholy.
  • In a shocking transition from the man who opposed the enslavement of the independent back in Lilliput, the occupation at Houyhnhnm Land successfully transformed Gulliver into a recluse who merely could not care less about the well-being of other humans, let alone the freedom-deprived. Arriving homeward, he couldn't bear to attend dinner with his family, or spend more than an hour in the urban plane; two horses thus were purchased as a reminder of his final voyage, and the apparently-flawless race that he could do nothing to but admire and donate his time to.
  • Upon revisiting Earth after his ascension, he was even more ashamed of humanity after seeing his accounts stripped down to a squeaky-clean version of his first voyage (Something he no longer views favorably), branded as a children's story. The gut of such disgusting pests!
    • According to an interview prior to his ascension, he believes that the Japanese amusement park Gulliver's Kingdom is the nadir of the carelessness when it comes to handling his accounts; here, visitors filled the shoes of the Lilliputians while walking around a colossal statue made in his likeness, with shockingly little in the way of memorable pursuits. Tellingly, it closed after less than a half decade in business, and the aforementioned effigy had become a prime target for graffiti up until demolition was underway in the late aughts.
    • Predictably, the man appeared to be miffed when he learned he was being ascended solely on the manner in which he was captured during his first voyage. Even with the presence of The Houyhnhnm race elsewhere in the pantheon, the very label given to him by the pantheon overseers fills him with unrivaled shame.
  • One afternoon, Miles "Tails" Prower happened to be making some engine modifications to the Tornado when a literary freak, rushing home from the library, dropped a book; it just so happened to be Travels. After careful reading, Tails went to reexamine the third voyage, harboring imagery of a hovering chunk of earth. Knowing his friend Knuckles lived on the similarly-floating Angel Island, he rushed over to show him the chapter, wondering if it stayed afloat on the same or similar principles. The Higher Ups in the Pantheon soon began to piece together Tails' intentions and instructed him to first discuss matters with The Author himself, by this point an on-and-off emotional hermit.
    • Upon tracking down Gulliver, Tails was greeted with a faint groan, the Englishman concerned that he must have been a neuronally-modified subject designed to fit human needs. The fox-echidna duo at first struggled to make him cooperate, that is until a critical thought came to him: if they don gloves and shoes, then why possibly naught in the way of trousers or shirts? Because of this realization, he let his insecurities slip and gave them permission to encounter their algebraic highness of Laputa, first thing.
    • Although no Chaos Emeralds were to be found, it soon was taught to the mammals that the seemingly-inoperable king had the ability to move his island at will, barring sunlight from showering the citizens of Balnibarbi until they were willing to send him representatives on a regular basis (Keep in mind Balnibarbi is a territory the Laputian king has bound to a lifelong contract, and thus regulates the folk with severity). Thanks to a magnetic lodestone composing the core of the landmass (Being the closest thing the island has to a Master Emerald, which solves the levitation question), said king can manipulate the island to exact a repercussion of choosing (As harsh as slamming Laputa onto the below properties, but thus far he has hardly ever resorted to such a destructive prerogative).
  • Much to the pantheon's surprise, he took interest in fellow introvert Squidward Q. Tentacles. Like Gulliver, Squidward not only has a major disinterest in the people around him ("I Hate People" comes to mind), but the fact that one time, he was tethered by rope when he was mistaken for a monster, treated as a servant for the Bikini Bottomites' every-day chores after claiming to be nice in saving his skin, and being suddenly turned against in a disproportionate manner draws the parallels between them even further.
  • Captain Nemo, as soon as he was met, became an interesting individual in Gulliver's eyes. Although both have had maritime experiences and exhibit some degree of dislike for civilization, the grounds for said aspects are of disparate flavor. Whereas Gulliver traveled purely by traditional vessels, once hated slavery but stopped giving a rat's tail, and now despises humanity in its entirety, Nemo's expertise came from submersible travel, his spite of humanity not as a flawed race but instead from an opposition to aristocracy, and to this day his blood still boils at the mention of slavery (The primary reason for his stand against the aforementioned upper-crust). A feud that lasted a good two hours between the men prompted authorities to limit their encounters to no more than ten minutes.
  • The Pantheon alliances all seem to agree never to let Gulliver encounter The Antagonist, another reputed people-hater dwelling in the temple network. In contrast to Gulliver's distancing from others, the so-called "Not Important" is more hands-on when it comes to exacting his worldview. Fearing that a meeting between the parties would influence Gulliver to translate his loathing into murderous aggression, psychic barriers have been applied that make them intangible to one another should they be within a mile-wide radius.

Golbasto Momarem Evlame Gurdilo Shefin Mully Ully Gue, most mighty Emperor of Lilliput, delight and terror of the universe, whose dominions extend five thousand blustrugs (about twelve miles in circumference) to the extremities of the globe; monarch of all monarchs, taller than the sons of men; whose feet press down to the centre, and whose head strikes against the sun; at whose nod the princes of the earth shake their knees; pleasant as the spring, comfortable as the summer, fruitful as autumn, dreadful as winter: his most sublime majesty proposes to the man-mountain, lately arrived at our celestial dominions, the following articles, which, by a solemn oath, he shall be obliged to perform:

The Lilliputians, Deified Teeny Tiny People

  • Potential House: Sizes
  • Quasideities
  • Symbol: The Map of Lilliput
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral for the Tramsecksan Party, True Neutral for the Slamsecksan Party, Neutral Evil for Skyresh Bolgolam, somewhere between Lawful Neutral and Neutral Evil for Flimnap
  • Portfolio: A small race stuck in a military conflict with another small race, Secure a normally-sized human by tying him with ropes, At war with Blefuscu over the way in which eggs are cracked, Split themselves into the Tramsecksan and Slamsecksan Parties, Hires politicians based on favoritism rather than actual skill
  • Domains: Smallness, War,
  • Herald: The Blefuscudians
  • Allies:
  • Enemies: Rebel Army, Wallmasters
  • Opposes:
  • Whoa, watch your step there! Small as they are, they are perfectly prepared to tackle any large-enough intrusion and handle them with finesse (Just ask Gulliver!). Luckily, it did not take long for them to warm up to the so-called "man-mountain," and furthermore found benefit in using him as offense against the neighboring isle.
  • Immediately after the people's ruler declared his introduction to the wayward visitor, he set in stone a series of amendments in which he felt Gulliver could accommodate:
    • 1st, The man-mountain shall not depart from our dominions, without our license under our great seal.
    • 2nd, He shall not presume to come into our metropolis, without our express order; at which time, the inhabitants shall have two hours warning to keep within doors.
    • 3rd, The said man-mountain shall confine his walks to our principal high roads, and not offer to walk, or lie down, in a meadow or field of corn.
    • 4th, As he walks the said roads, he shall take the utmost care not to trample upon the bodies of any of our loving subjects, their horses, or carriages, nor take any of our subjects into his hands without their own consent.
    • 5th, If an express requires extraordinary dispatch, the man-mountain shall be obliged to carry, in his pocket, the messenger and horse a six days journey, once in every moon, and return the said messenger back (if so required) safe to our imperial presence.
    • 6th, He shall be our ally against our enemies in the island of Blefuscu, and do his utmost to destroy their fleet, which is now preparing to invade us.
    • 7th, That the said man-mountain shall, at his times of leisure, be aiding and assisting to our workmen, in helping to raise certain great stones, towards covering the wall of the principal park, and other our royal buildings.
    • 8th, That the said man-mountain shall, in two moons' time, deliver in an exact survey of the circumference of our dominions, by a computation of his own paces round the coast.
    • Lastly, That, upon his solemn oath to observe all the above articles, the said man-mountain shall have a daily allowance of meat and drink sufficient for the support of 1724 of our subjects, with free access to our royal person, and other marks of our favour. Given at our palace at Belfaborac, the twelfth day of the ninety-first moon of our reign.
  • If anything is to be said about the country's political apparatus, then one may heed choice of footwear as signal. The Tramsecksans, who are characterized by high-heels, revere the laws and Emperor; the short-heeled Slamsecksans, alternatively, don't actively express the other party's fervent support, but have always been the ones to earn political roles no matter what (This includes the Emperor himself). If this sounds more like a categorization of people and law than actual political schools of thought among a population, then it must also be considered that Lilliputian politicians are solely registered into their positions by winning a rope dancing contest, and not by occupationally-relevant knowledge.
    • Furthermore, the Emperor's son wears one high-heel and one low, thusly leaving his political position an ideological puzzle.
  • Political affiliation (Class more appropriately in their scenario) is not the only issue dividing the island's residents; look no further than the Big and Little-Endians. Due to an accident the Emperor's ancestor had when he scarred his finger after breaking an egg on the larger, fatter half, it was subsequently written as law that all the land's citizens shall crack their eggs open on the smaller, narrower half. Not everyone took convenience with such guidelines; the Big-Endians, as these holdouts were called, fled to Blefuscu to take refuge from the punishments inherent from said law. The Blefuscudian support of the Big-Endian refugee movement eventually transformed into full-on military conflict between the two tiny territories.
  • Opposition to Gulliver's presence on the island initially consisted of two notable individuals: Admiral Skyresh Bolgolam and Treasurer Flimnap. The former merely despised the man-mountain out of baseless impulse, while the latter was quick to join the former after falling for a false claim that Gulliver was in a relationship with her. Soon, the two began gathering evidence they could use to kick him out of their land for good. Momentum for the inclination eventually received so much gain that the Emperor was convinced to issue a series of legal commandments to rectify his relation with the foreigner.
  • The aforementioned documents thusly asserted:
    • Article I: Whereas by a statute made in the reign of his imperial majesty Calin Deffar Plune, it is enacted, that, whoever shall make water within the precincts of the royal palace, shall be liable to the pains and penalties of high-treason; notwithstanding, the said Quinbus Flestrin, [Term from which "man-mountain" is translated] in open breach of the said law, under colour of extinguishing the fire kindled in the apartment of his majesty's most dear imperial consort, did maliciously, traitorously, and devilishly, by discharge of his urine, put out the said fire kindled in the said apartment, lying and being within the precincts of the said royal palace, against the statute in that case provided, etc, against the duty, etc.
    • Article II: That the said Quinbus Flestrin, having brought the imperial fleet of Blefuscu into the royal port, and being afterwards commanded by his imperial majesty to seize all the other ships of the said empire of Blefuscu, and reduce that empire to a province, to be governed by a viceroy from hence, and to destroy and put to death, not only all the Big-endian exiles, but a likewise traitor against his most auspicious, serene, imperial majesty, did petition to be excused from the said service, upon pretence of unwillingness to force the consciences, or destroy the liberties and lives of an innocent people.
    • Article III: That, whereas certain ambassadors arrived from the Court of Blefuscu, to sue for peace in his majesty's court, he, the said Flestrin, did, like a false traitor, aid, abet, comfort, and divert, the said ambassadors, although he knew them to be servants to a prince who was lately an open enemy to his imperial majesty, and in an open war against his said majesty.
    • Article IV: That the said Quinbus Flestrin, contrary to the duty of a faithful subject, is now preparing to make a voyage to the court and empire of Blefuscu, for which he has received only verbal license from his imperial majesty; and, under colour of the said license, does falsely and traitorously intend to take the said voyage, and thereby to aid, comfort, and abet the Emperor of Blefuscu, so lately an enemy, and in open war with his imperial majesty aforesaid.
  • In the years after the man-mountain's exit, Flimnap had started to idolize Bolgolam outright, so much so that he had begun ignoring his wife (One of the reasons he was driven to assist the Admiral in his movement). Noticing he had been away from home more and more often, the missus saw that their marriage was likely tainted and distanced herself from the treasurer. Emperor Plune, clearly not paying any attention to the acts of the folk around him as usual, saw nothing out of the ordinary.
  • Over time, they slowly began colonizing Blefuscu — until a chorus of voices warned them that stripping the rival of their autonomy would only serve to bite them. They, the Grand United Alliance of Good, promised to give them a Pantheon temple only if they set the Blefuscudians free and formally put an end to the war between them. Heartbroken but unwilling to let go of an opportunity to witness of the universe standing before him, the Emperor abided and gave Blefuscu the honor of collective divine heralds as reparations. Escorted by the whole of their army on their way to the Pantheon, the royal family tasked their former enemy with staying put so as to observe anything that may befall Lilliput in their absence.
  • Five days after their ascension, the people had been warned of Sheldon J. Plankton, an envious copepod known to rely on sheer genius to steal a valuable possession from his business rival: the Krabby Patty formula. While most of them scoffed at the idea of a villain largely focused on bolstering his restaurant, Bolgolam and Flimnap did not hesitate to sneak away in loaning the green pest logistical knowledge that would help him better identify the tricks Krabs would commit to keep it out of his reach.
    • Months had passed, and it was unveiled to them that Plankton had a, *cough*, sizable extended family. Since none were by any means geniuses as was Plankton, Flimnap committed his greater hours instructing them in literacy and strategic dexterity. The effort flopped not because of any unwillingness on the Planktons' part to be educated, but simply due to the family load being far too overwhelming for the two schemers to keep up with.
  • Eagleland was soon to appear in their minds, most certainly due to a "Lilliput Steps" existing in the geographical vicinity; under what qualities might the Man-Mountains in this country cite our sublimeness for, the Empress questioned regarding the nomenclature. As the court learned the hard way, the only rationale for a decision was based on the minuscule footprints in front of the cave's mouth; the Moles Playing Rough did not take kindly to the itsy-bitsy warheads wanting to establish a colony on their turf.
    • Not willing to throw the towel so easily, the royal couple summoned a team of armed imperial soldiers, pitted against their chieftain.
      • Mondo Mole Attacked!
      • Shoot
      • To Mondo Mole
      • The Lilliputians Attack!
      • 34 HP of damage to Mondo Mole
      • Mondo Mole tore into his target
      • 273 HP of damage to the Lilliputians
      • Game over
    • Considering that the injuries from the loss took 20 whole days to heal (In addition to three of the soldiers perishing), it's safe to say they won't tread there ever again. When the Alliance of Good soon learned of this disturbance, much drama was to be had at the Lilliputians' breaking of the divine pact, and thus the Emperor and his followers were forced to remain within the bounds of their temple for an entire year as punishment. Bounds of food and water were delivered by attendants to keep the people from rotting in obscurity.
  • When the time came for them to walk freely once more, they were given a chance to take another look at their homeland for nostalgia's sake. Revisiting that island, a dreadful sight had seized them: all the buildings were gone. It was just a matter of time before the culprits appeared — Wallmasters. Dreaded, giant hand-shaped crooks that went ahead and thought it to be a good idea to carry away their infrastructure into the beyond. The other gods were caught off guard because the perpetrators typically limit themselves to dungeon chambers and select rooms in the House of Gaming, leading them to theorize external factors prompted them to invade Lilliput. To this day, the exact circumstances prompting them to traverse new ground are unknown, but bans on them have been exacted in the subsequent ages (Appropriately, their supposed overseers have been informed of such anomalous goings-on).
    • Interestingly, Blefuscu was not targeted during the Wallmaster invasion. Their monarch, in an interview with Pantheon authorities, he saw them approach Lilliput one morning. They were in considerations to provide extra soldiers to shoo them away, but ultimately chose to distance themselves fearing that they would earn the monsters' ire if an Enemy Mine was formed with the rival country. Some have theorized the strange behavior was incited by the numerous divine factions to lambaste the Lilliputians for their inability to follow discipline back in Eagleland, hence why their neighbors were unaffected.
  • It came one day to Papa Smurf that a group of people just about their size (But blatantly not blue-fleshed and much more militarized) was to pass by, and he alerted his youngers that they might either have been monsters Gargamel made to exterminate them or a group of invaders looking to establish colonies (The latter easily the case had the Alliance of Good not intervened). The Pantheon authorities caught on and informed they were a race who had recently been ascended, and thus had every right to tread from reality to reality (They, in turn, had to be notified of their divine right not to colonize them as they once did with the Blefuscudians). Both parties were puzzled with each other's oddities, but soon bonded when told that if Gargamel (More likely than not one to expand his hatred of the minuscule to entities besides the Smurfs) were to learn about the Lilliputians' presence, their offense against him would be frailer. While the cerulean folks were — how to say this — perplexed by having to rope dance as part of forming their good relations, they were not at all appalled by those standards.
  • General Donald Morden, one afternoon perchance, glimpsed the Lilliputians from a distance. Their size, unnatural to him and an unexpected trigger, sent him into a frenzy. He immediately commanded his lieutenant O'Neill to eliminate the eyesore, and gather the rest of his battalion to wipe them off.
    • Concerned for the Lilliputians' well-being, the Rebel Army's fated adversaries, a team under the moniker "Peregrine Falcons and Sparrows" was messaged regarding Morden's irrational loathing of the short-statured population. As soon as the foursome met them personally, the conversation that resulted was slightly uncomfortable, given the terms that Gulliver's visit ended on. With enough convincing and word on the Pantheons' doctrine, though, the Lilliputians eased up to the big people and formed a societal truce with them.
    • Bolgolam and Flimnap, meanwhile, held onto their grudges against normally-sized humans but cooperated with the Emperor's orders so as to not appear out of line. Nevertheless, the quartet, having adapted themselves to many a bizarre scenario, didn't fear their existence one bit and vouched to provide the entirety of their offensive against the Rebel Army, well-aware the Lilliputians' open fire would do little more than scratch their flesh.
  • The relationship with Marco, Eri, Fio, and Tarma became pivotal to the Lilliputians' evolving compatibility with the bigger kind; when notified of a certain Apatosaurus' experience with a similar jarringly small race, the Empress was reasonable enough to help her people expand their horizons.
    • Due to his Mesozoic upbringing, Littlefoot was at first a bit nervous witnessing them due to them wielding tools far more complex than he could fathom (It didn't help that they kept firing every five seconds in case of hostile wildlife). A brief pep-talk with the longneck was sufficient to improve his view of the "two-legs", and soon enough introduced him to Big Daddy, the patriarch of the Tinysauruses.
    • The so-called "fire sticks" the militia wielded certainly frightened the small longnecks, but Big Daddy soon got an idea; the sharpteeth that constantly besieged his society would be scared of the booming report, by extension. Even though the weapons themselves would theoretically not hurt them much, the sheer alienness of gunfire would be more than enough to shoo the theropods away. Wanting to return to their Pantheon shrine, the Emperor assigned Admiral Skyresh and a fifth of the army to serve as permanent bodyguards for them (Let's just say Bolgolam was distraught he could not devise any more schemes with Flimnap or Plankton by then).
    • Speaking of Flimnap, he recalled during the meeting with the Smurfs mention of a malicious race known as the Wartmongers, inhabiting nearby Pussywillow Swamp (In the context of a scheme in which to divert Lilliputian troops against them, if need be). At this rate, the sir was in a state of exasperated desperation, no longer in obligations to be supervised by the imperial family. No longer able to get in touch with his wife (Admittedly by his own volition) or the Admiral, he was left with no choice but to seek a fruitful fulfillment with the cold-hearted amphibians, not caring if his Emperor became suspicious of his exceedingly long absence.
King Bullrush: (Watches the portcullis at his gate ascend, the silhouette of an unfamiliar figure retreating into his quarters)
Jester: (Points scepter unto the doorway') Your grubbiness, look, a visitor.
Bullrush: (To the oncoming humanoid) Who are you, and what might your desire be?
Flimnap: Flimnap, dearest king of the Wartmonger peoples, (Salutes) esteemed treasurer of the omnipresent nation of Lilliput.
Bullrush: (Scratches his noggin for a second) Lily... Pad? We have more than enough here.
Flimnap: (Disbelieving nod) Or least, I was 'til presently. I arrive here anticipating a position upwards to your servitude.
Bullrush: (Guffaws at his suggestion, fists rapping against throne, before realigning himself to the conversation) Might you or might you not be a spy on their behalf?
Flimnap: I, as you now witness, have relieved myself of the said imperial privileges, thusly out of a gravitation of domestic affairs grown considerably beyond clutch. It shall be clarified on the said matter of cultural surveillance that I am by naught means, a spy for the Emperor. To my new most apex patriarch, all the shining suns in the universe residing in his beloved palm, I irreversibly allege to you. May you now imprint on me the sacrament of your all-enforcing autocracy.
Jester: Eheh, take his word for it, maybe? (Dons a Slasher Smile)
Bullrush: Oh, all right, but just so you know we'll be keeping a close eye on you. (To guards) Take him to the ramparts; our construction crew could use a pair of extra hands.
(The patrols proceed to escort a subtly disappointed, but not miffed, Flimnap to his newly-bestowed occupation)
  • The uneven-heeled prince, noting the treasurer's lack of matter, woke his parents up to notify them. This time, they could tell something was amiss. That, meanwhile, led the two parties to wonder if their generations-long system was functional. If a long-serving man as Flimnap were to willingly cleanse himself of his duties, then maybe the Slamsecksans simply weren't meant to be assigned high responsibilities, the reevaluation believed.

@Lordegnome Lelouch Lamperouge set himself up as an Evil Overlord for the sake of making the world unite against a common enemy. Judai Yuki once fell into despair and became the brutal Supreme King to try to eliminate all evil in the world before he came back to his senses. I get the feeling that besides people who dislike perverted men like Boa Hancock or Tenko Chabashira, Harem Seekers like Issei Hyodo or The Helltaker would be very disgusted with the way he gathered his Royal Harem in the first place.

@Copernica: The Jedi Exile's mentor, Kreia, turned out to be manipulating them for her plan to kill the Force itself.

@Gulliver: How would he interact with other sentient equines like the My Little Pony cast or Crsytal?

As promised: HK-47's rework draft. To summarize, he was a killer droid programmed by Revan in his times as a Sith to kill political members he found to be troublesome. Following his mind wipe, HK-47 was found and sold off to various masters, killing them as their programming to him was "inferior" to his previous master and finally reunited, although limited in his functions since it was years since his rediscovery by Revan, this time under orders by the Jedi. He is also sociopathic, has a hatred for the HK-50 droids (and was even the basis for the droids in the first place), loves violence and refers to any organic as a "meatbag"

Declaration: HK-47, Robotic Entity Who Refers Organics As Meatbags

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hk-47wikiart_1892.png
  • Statement: An Intermediate Entity
  • Observation: Symbol is an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope.
  • Designation: Alignment is Chaotic Neutral but leans more on Neutral Evil
  • Explanation: Portfolio includes being a robotic assassin droid with psychopathic programming, useful, if not villainous, party member to Revan and very loyal to him, assassination as the default programming, murderous, yet comedic for the entire party, has hatred for anyone not his master, considers all organics as "meatbags", follows his programming past the first one, speaks in prefaces before sentences, heavily loved and even returns as various replicas for thousands of years
  • Declaration: Domains are Robots (of the killer kind), Loyalty, Assassinations, Combat, "Meatbags"
  • Specification: Master to Revan and possibly The Exile (should the latter repair him).
  • Statement: Allies: The House of Military and Warfare (they love his definition of Love), Bender
  • Statement: Opposed By: The House of Love (they do not like his definition of Love), human or any organic members of the Pantheon (they do not appreciate him calling anyone a "meatbag")
  • Exposition: The Legends tell of a past war called the Mandalorian Wars, a war that spanned two decades of fighting between the Mandalorians and Galactic Republic. When the war ended, a certain Jedi-then turned Sith by the name of Revan turned to the Dark Side alongside Malak his other companion and once the war ended after the devastating aftermath on Malachor V, did they start their plans. With their resources, Revan created a personal assassination droid that was built under the premise of taking down political opponents that opposed him using the HK-24 droid design with his own upgrades (some hint that HK-47's chassis was more akin to the HKB-3 Hunter-Killer droid, hence his designation as a Hunter-Killer). Thus created a droid capable of both regular combat, assassinations and loyalty enough to sustain Revan in his years under Sith influence. After various battles, this droid, named HK-47, was one of his most powerful assets but while he was on a mission, the Jedi captured Revan and wiped his memories, leaving HK-47 on his mission and sustaining an injury but not before being captured by Mandalorian forces. Years passed and HK-47 has been retrofited, sold to various masters and lost various times, either the masters dying to enemy encounters or slaying them personally. Despite the years, his programming allowed him to preserve his master's identity and would soon reunite with Revan, albeit with his memory wiped and used as a translator of sorts and soon, restored to his original purpose: assassinations and violence.
    • Addenum: On the early times with him, his encounter with Darth Malak changed HK-47 in some capacity. During their first sight, when asked by Malak about him, the droid insulted him with the term "meatbag" and Revan found that amusing, so much that he programmed it to him. This allowed the droid to refer to any organic as a meatbag, including his master at some point though he has been trying to find an alternative when referring to Revan in some way, not so much towards Meetra Surik.

@Gulliver and Lilliputians: What of their opinion on the Yooks and Zooks, whose reason for war involve butter side on their bread?

On another note, would both sides of Lilliputians declare all "egg side-crackers" enemies?

[up][up] E-123 Omega is another humorously sociopathic killer robot who loves to fight yet show great loyalty towards those he's close to.

[up][up][up] The Slylandro would oppose the robot for being just plain mean in general, and additionally they refer to humans and similar organics as "fluid sacks". The Slylandro themselves are made of primarily gas since they're living on a gas giant and may not fit the "meatbag" term that HK-47 uses.

@E-M: I believe nightelf37 had originally gotten them accepted for Level-Up Fill-Up, then I tried to nominate them for Always Check Behind the Chair, but it wasn't needed since nightelf37 nominated them already and I adopted his idea. Profile is properly amended to note this.

Posting the Kosugi's profile again, would like feedback on Abusive Precursors who treat their own creations very harshly, which these two would oppose. Or potential allies for these enigma-solving explorers.

Lemeza and Lumisa Kosugi, Co-Deities of Full Restoration Upon Maxing Out EXP (Lemeza: Mr. Explorer) (Lumisa: Miss Explorer)

Lemeza
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lumisa_kosugi_9.png
Lumisa
  • In their extremely vast, extremely deadly, and extremely mind-boggling explorations of ancient ruins, getting through all of the secrets required getting through many monsters and Guardians that had often left them hanging at the brink of death. Due to the scarcity of healing methods within the ruins they delve into, they often find themselves relying on the health refills that result from leveling up, even to the point of exploiting it in more dangerous situations, it being required for Lemeza in particular. For these reasons, the explorers were given the trope of Level-Up Fill-Up.
    • The secret to their insane durability in the latter aspect is the Sacred Orbs from La-Mulana that they've collected. With certain privileges in the Pantheon, they don't need to carry them around anymore to reap the benefits (not that it was ever a problem anyway).
  • YHVH found the Kosugis' destruction of both La-Mulana and Eg-Lana apprehensible, due to the fact that in their universe, the ruins of La-Mulana and Eg-Lana are considered as sacred world heritage sides, on top of the fact they killed many entities that could be considered deities, including The Mother, the creator of humanity and all sapient life on their planet. Their actions were brought forward to the Court of the Gods to see to it that they could be punished, but Lucifer and even Cosmos argued against YHVH's outcries, noting that The Mother would destroy every race that failed to bring her into space, and would have eventually destroyed humanity. The Court judged that the two explorers were just in destroying La-Mulana and Eg-Lana, stating that their actions were for the greater good overall. In spite of this failure, YHVH and his GUAL do not ever intend to welcome the two archaeologists.
  • In terms of gear, it's not known how much of (if any of) Lemeza's gear still has between the end of his adventure and when Lumisa finds him and Shorn after they went missing, but he now has them all back for future adventures. As for Lumisa, she still has hers just at the end of her adventure.
  • Their temple takes the form of their home. There's also a Flame Statue from La-Mulana and Eg-Lana that they can use to refuel their Lamps of Time (which stops time for a couple of seconds before its flame extinguishes). The fact that they have such an artifact is a concern to some members of the House of Time And Space, even if it is effectively a one-use thing most of the time.
  • With little surprise, they look up to other famous explorers like Lara Croft, Nathan Drake, and the League of Explorers for their interests in adventuring within dangerous archaelogy sites. And of course, Indiana Jones as well, but with Lemeza especially since he's an Expy of Indiana Jones. Often you'll see them compete for treasures whenever they're in the same dangerous temple or ruins. Additionally, Captain Toad and Daring Do spectate the Kosugis' adventures to learn from their skills and methods for dealing with ancient puzzles and riddles.
  • Lemeza always carries around his thin, lightweight, Japan-made Mobile Super X2 laptop, which is made specially for archeological exploration. It contains ROMs/software that can do more than just operate stuff in it but influence his surroundings as well, including an Auto-Revive (but It Only Works Once per "save"). It also has a pair of cases that make it usable even while underwater or under lava. As for Lumisa, she has a "Mobile Super X3+" tablet PC that serves the same purpose as Lemeza's laptop, with applications that can run functions similar to Lemeza's programs, including the same Auto-Revive as her father's.
    • Speaking of lava/magma, with the Ice Cape/Cloak, Lemeza/Lumisa's also extremely resistant. As for water, which is poisonous in La-Mulana and Eg-Lana, they both have a Scalesphere to protect from such effects, though freezing water is still a problem (luckily for Lumisa, she has something else for that).
  • The Kosugis apparently have a long line of ninjutsu in the family tree, and both used Ninja infiltration techniques for navigating around the death traps of La-Mulana as well as surviving great falls. They're also adept at using the Grapple Claw to scale walls.
  • Besides their signature (flail) whips, both Kosugis each possess a knife, axe, katana, flare gun, pistol, and Angel Shield. As for their other "sub-weapons", they'll have to make do with what's available in the Pantheon, though they prefer shurikens (standard and "rolling" kinds), javelins, "potato masher" grenades, (throwable) chakrams, and caltrops. For their diverse array of weaponry, the two deities have earned the respect of Firion for their common interest in utilizing a variety of weaponry.
  • From what they knew in La-Mulana and Eg-Lana, the deities of the various religions of their world were actually from predecessor races. Those Lemeza has met include Pazuzu, the Nuckelavee, Anubis, and Beelzebub. Those Lumisa has met include Ammit, Sekhmet, Angra Mainyu (though as a giant frog), Cerberus, the Hydra (though the one she fought doesn't even look draconic), the Sphinx, Arachne, Scylla, Fenrir (though it was a manned mecha), Daji, Ratatoskr (who was actually Hraesvelgr), Ra, and Surtr. Their counterparts in the Pantheon have reactions ranging from indifference to a little contempt. Ra had minor worries concerning that the counterpart of him Lumisa fought was more antagonistic and even absorbed the Horus of their world into himself by force.
  • Like with YHVH, neither deity is fond of Amon for his desire to destroy everything and recreate the universe to his liking, all for selfish purposes. Nor do they intend to let the Divine Powers turn humanity into their servants. They also find Mem Aleph to be far too similar to The Mother that they've fought against for their liking. Mem Aleph is displeased with them given their penchant for dealing with mythical figures and demons and the fact that even she knows better than to cause genocide on her own children for much less meaningful failures than the destruction of nature. That said, they do understand each others' opposition against YHVH, at the very least.
  • Having had to contend with so many Goddamned Bats in La-Mulana/Eg-Lana, the Kosugis despise all forms of Ledge Bats. On the other hand, they have a recipe for bat curry. This has made Golbat and Zubat stay far away from them, and Antasma has been offended by the notion, but knowing their experience with actual deities, he also keeps away from them. Rouge still wants to try to get in on their adventures to steal some of the loot they find, though with much hesitation. Obviously they dislike the potential annoyance that the Medusa Heads can become, which Simon Belmont is in much agreement with.
  • The two of them looted the temple of the Regi Trio after finding the entrance to their temple rather easy to break in, given their experience with much harder puzzles. The Regi Trio were not very happy to see them take whatever they felt like getting their hands on, but were mostly helpless to stop them given their agility.
  • Obviously, going through so many of them already, they despise those who use death traps in general, but Lemeza has a special hatred for them given that he's been given four achievements for dying to death traps. His rancor extends to the Jigsaw Killer for his interest in creating them. Kramer sometimes worries that if he gets Lemeza caught up in one of his traps that he may personally come for him, and given his determination and experience with death traps, the Jigsaw Killer has all the right to be concerned.
  • Being able to interact with fairies with Isis' Pendant, they're friendly with plenty of the non-evil deities from the Hall of Fairies, and they've given similar respect to Titania as they did with the Fairy Queen of their world. As such, sometimes a member of that Hall will give them a blessing whenever they're in the mood. Ghaleon also has high respect for them not only for their overall nice treatment towards fairies but them reminding him of a hero from his world named Hiro who also had an interest in exploring ruins like they did.
    • Klefki's one of the members that effectively antagonizes them by robbing them of keys they find when exploring, and from their initial encounters with the Pokemon, watch their inventory more sternly than before. As if they weren't already after getting robbed of some of the treasures they found in other adventures by Rafaam.
  • They both love to rest in hot springs to recover, with or without their normal clothing on. The two of them along with Pit like to describe themselves as "Hot Spring Connoisseurs".
  • Exclusive to Lemeza:
    • As a curry addict, Lemeza is a regular customer at Café Leblanc, and whenever he isn't exploring ruins, temples, or dungeons, he's very likely lounging there. Sojiro's thankful that in the Pantheon, running out of stock isn't too much of a concern for him, though making curry for Lemeza can be tedious at times. And when it comes to other people who love eating curry, he's made a friend out of Rock Lee due to their shared like of curry and becoming interested in each other's ninja techniques, as well as Usalia due to always having a friendly curry-eating contest whenever they visit at the same time, much to Sojiro's dread.
    • On one dreaded day, Lemeza suddenly was walking around in some skimpy looking attire that the Pantheon calls the Provocative Bathing Suit, and went to the House of Music just to dance with it on, for everyone to see. Many deities watching at the time were traumatized, to put it simply, and ran away in fear. Even the deities who normally didn't mind men like him wearing bikinis and other feminine clothing couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about it. Very rare footage of the event is also used by members of the House of Torture and Mutilation use it to mentally torture some of the more stoic victims they get their hands on. A VUX individual, known for finding humans horribly ugly, instantly died upon accidentally looking at it. Nowadays, if Lemeza is seen with that thing on, he's straight up banned from the House of Music and many heavily public areas. Lumisa holds no comment on the suit, nor does she have any inclination to wear it herself.
    • Is not fond of fathers that exploit their childrens' work, considering that his father, Shorn, stole the treasure of La-Mulana after finishing his quest. However, everyone else, Lumisa included, properly called him out when he and Shorn decided to steal the Treasure of Eg-Lana from Lumisa who earned it herself and rescued them earlier as well. Lumisa did get it back in the end. Lemeza hasn't tried or thought about repeating this anyway, secretly respecting his daughter for managing to take it back.
  • Exclusive to Lumisa:
    • Given their ages, it's not known what her family situation is. Was she the daughter of Lemeza's wife before she married Lemeza? Is she actually an illegitimate child of Shorn? Did Lemeza father her when he was only 15? Is she even born a Kosugi? Nobody knows, and neither of them are answering.
    • Among her inventory is the Mjolnir, which she can use to absorb lighting, especially the supernatural kind, and then cast it herself. That said, it can only hold so much and will discharge if she takes more than it can handle if she doesn't do it manually. With the Power Band accessory she also obtained separately, she can direct it at foes.
      • When she was first seen with it, Thor was quick to notice her skills with it, and requested a friendly duel to demonstrate each other's skills with their respective Mjolnir. Lumisa accepted and soon the Hall of Electricity ended up needing much repairs. While Thor obviously had more expertise with it, he was still impressed by Lumisa's usage of her own Mjolnir. Additionally, Thor's also interested in her potential to oppose some of Thor's enemies, particularly Surtr and Hel, both of which greatly dislike Lumisa for her victory against their counterparts in her world. Fenrir and Jorumgand were just machines there so they don't care too much.
    • Is suspicious of Saitama due to somehow recognizing him, but as a different person known as Hydlit, a merchant she's dealt with whose face and baldness match Saitama very similarly. Later on, she learned of Lea, who despite her communication issues, managed to get across her own suspicions about Saitama, which Lumisa believes to have been another person deceived by Saitama, unaware that Lea encountered a Santa Claus who looked like Saitama. While their efforts in exposing Saitama's secret identities have failed repeatedly, they still respect each other for their abilities to explore and deal with puzzles.
    • She also has the Gale Fibula, which are reminiscent of Link's Pegasus Boots in that when worn she can sprint really fast in a certain direction, but cannot stop until she bumps into something.
    • While pitying Burgerpants for his unfortunate occupation, having met him in her own trek within Eg-Lana, the gestures he made towards her had genuinely creeped her out. (They were not any romantic advances of any kind, just really odd in general) She's aware that he's somewhat of a decent guy regardless. She also recognizes Flowey and is confused about his reputation since Flowey hasn't harmed or tormented anyone in her own adventure, though she knows he can make a foul grin. Flowey also continues to act nice and innocent near her, even though Lumisa's unaware that Flowey's a good guy pretending to be evil, as The Mole for the GUAG.
    • Despises those who orchestrate a war, and then plant someone else as The Scapegoat for it, as had happened with the Giant Sakit when she met him (the one Lemeza met was a false one), which not even Lemeza knew about before his trip into Eg-Lana. For this reason she has a special enmity for Hades (the one opposing Pit), infamous for the Wish Seed incident in his world where he got humans and Pit to attack a phoenix, only to use its death to trigger a greater war within humanity for the false existence of the Wish Seed.
    • At first, some deities mistook Lumisa for another deity named Ann Takamaki due to her Japanese-American heritage, her use of whips, and because of having "seen" her previously in some Halloween event where the Phantom Thieves had dressed up as various archaeologists that weren't deified back then, including Ann dressing as Lumisa herself. When the two eventually met, it ended off with a laugh-filled discussion, and their similarities ended up making each good friends. Who else was who?

Twenty-Fifth Bam, God of Getting Better Power Upgrades Before Everyone Else (Jue Viole Grace, Baam, Jyu Viole Grace, Yoru, Black Turtle)

Bam as of Part 3 (Webcomic)

  • Respects: Alpheus
  • Dislikes: Penelope Mouse
  • A pure and honest boy who enters the Tower in search of Rachel, the only person he has ever known during his life of isolation in a cave. Single-mindedly devoted to Rachel, Bam's goal is to reunite with her after she leaves him to climb the Tower. As an Irregular who entered the Tower on his own, Bam has exceptional potential in using shinsu that makes him the target of many people's attention. Throughout his journey, Bam makes several friends and grows both in power and character as he overcomes the Tower's many tests and obstacles.
  • Due to the high concentration of shinsu as air in many parts of the Tower, Bam has encountered many Divine Sea Fish, giant floating sea creatures of which some he had to fight at times, such as the White Steel Eel and Giant Marsh Worms. It's for this reason, combined with his immense power, that he feels no fear navigating through the Hall of Aquatic Life. It's notable that even creatures like the Kraken and Duke Fishron don't try to attack Bam. They're well aware that it wouldn't take much shinsu for Bam to easily kill them if he wanted to.
  • Thanks to their similarly friendly dispositions, pure natures, and innate talent despite their ages, Bam has become good friends with Gon and also with his best friend Killua. Bam noted Killua's strong resemblance to his acquaintance Khun Ran, with the two having very similar appearances and compatibilities with electricities. Killua told Bam that he'd like to meet Ran and would be interested in the challenge of climbing the Tower, having enjoyed his time in the Heavens Arena.
  • Bam's has an emnity with Mateus Palamecia, the evil ruler of the Palamecian Empire who aims to conquer the world using the forces of demons. This stems from Bam's Arch-Enemy being Jahad, the all-powerful, worshipped King of the Tower and ruler of the Jahad Empire who wants Bam, who is prophesied to slay him, dead. Thanks to the obstacles he has had to face because of Jahad, Bam has little tolerance for malevolent God Emperors and vows to stop him from reigning over all that exists. However, Mateus is not bothered by Bam's presence and considers him a mere insect in the grand scheme of his ambitions.
  • Bam's good looks, even from a young age, have caused many women to cry, which have only become more numerous since he's matured. His number of female admirers have only increased since he has ascended as a Greater God within the Pantheon, with women preferring his more long-haired look as Jue Viole Grace. Even the Chick Magnet Quintet is impressed by Bam's attractiveness towards women.
  • Bam has formed a friendship with Makoto Yuki due to their similarities. Both of them are gifted with a unique power, overcame their trauma and regained their compassion, and lead a group of their friends to ascend a tower. Bam was surprised to hear of the eldritch, unpredictable nature of Tartarus through which the S.E.E.S. had to fight Shadows to climb up. Makoto, on the other hand, was in awe of what Bam told him about the Tower — a structure with over a hundred floors each with residents and tests set by Rulers for the climbers to overcome.
  • In preparation for his eventual return to his world to complete his climb, Bam has taken an interest in fully exploring the Yggdrasil Labyrinths. At the moment, he's looking for other people interested in exploring the labyrinths to form a party. As a Wave Controller with a mastery of Shinsu for large-scale destruction, he's designated himself as the "mage" of a group and has been searching for others who would fulfill different roles. He's also quite intrigued by the Abyss, and is considering in venturing through it after completing the Yggdrasil Labyrinths and training even more to become strong enough to survive the Unholy Death World.
  • Bam holds Alpheus, the World Forger, in high regard. As a former Slayer candidate of FUG, Bam was chosen by the secretive criminal syndicate to overthrow the Ten Great Families and kill Jahad, the worshipped god-king. Alpheus himself was forced to fight and try to kill his mother Perpetua, the first creator of the Multiverse. As someone prophesied to kill Jahad and who understands the gravity of defeating an all-powerful being, Bam has a respect for Alpheus for even deciding to end his own mother. He also wants to learn more about the Overdeity's powers over dark matter and incorporate it into his shinsu.
  • Bam has gained quite the fashionable wardrobe from getting new clothes picked out by Ha Jinsung every season that are sent to him. Even now that he's ascended to the Pantheon, his mentor still wants him to look just as good. From time to time, Bam can be seen visiting the Costumes picking out new clothes to wear, with a preference for fashionable button-ups. Thanks to his nice wardrobe collection, Bam is considered one of the most stylish deities in the House of Power.
  • Bam has a low opinion of Penelope Mouse for betraying the heroes due to becoming greedy and envious of Sly Cooper's reputation. Her fall into greed and jealousy over Sly's reputation reminds Bam all too much of Rachel, who despite taking care of Bam and being the first person he ever met manipulated him and betrayed him to die all in her obsession to reach the top of the Tower. Even after rejecting Rachel's ideals and accepting her corruption, he still dislikes individuals similar to her. It's for this reason to he avoids going to the Halls of Tainted Friendship and Traitor Archetypes to avoid encountering her.

[up] Naofumi Iwatani was a formerly idealistic hero who got falsely accused of rape and society repressed in him in turn to the point of turning him into a pragmatic, distrustful, and cynical man, though he still has a good heart. I think they'd have a relationship leaning between Allies and Teeth-Clenched Teamwork seeing Bam seemingly getting through his Break the Cutie moments better than him. Vash the Stampede is also someone hunted down for his abilities and genuinely tries to avoid killing as much as possible, though the world makes him suffer for it as bounty hunters keep attacking him relentlessly for the money due to the Crapsack World they live in.

Fred C. Dobbs, God of Death by Materialism (Dobbsie)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dobbs.jpg
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: His hat, a cactus and a small bag filled with gold sand
  • Theme Song: The Treasure of the Sierra Madre Main Theme
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil (formerly True Neutral)
  • Portfolio: Alas, Poor Villain, Fedora of Asskicking, goes from a down on his luck guy trying to make a living to a desperate murderer, Gold Fever, Greed, Jerk with a Heart of Jerk, Lack of Empathy, Laser-Guided Karma, Laughing Mad, Protagonist Journey to Villain, Sanity Slippage, Token Evil Teammate, Ungrateful Bastard, Villain Protagonist, decapitated by the bandidos
  • Domains: Greed, Paranoia, Betrayal, Evil
  • Avatar: Humphrey Bogart
  • Allies: Unlikely to have permanent ones due to his avarice and paranoia. Has been known to work with Wario, Flintheart Glomgold and Rafe Adler
  • Enemies: Scrooge McDuck, Smaug, Fafnir, Indiana Jones, Nathan Drake, The League of Explorers, Lara Croft, Father Elijah, Yosemite Sam
  • Opposed by: John Marston
  • Complicated Relations: Rick Blaine
  • Fred C. Dobbs is a down-on-his-luck American in Mexico, looking for work just as the oil boom dies. A chance encounter with Bob Curtin, a guy in the same situation as him, and Howard, an old and experienced prospector, lead them on a search for gold in the Sierra Madre mountains. They dug in the mountains for months, obtaining a considerable fortune for all involved, however Dobbs grew more and more greedy and paranoid that Curtin and Howard would try to backstab him to get his share. Howard had to leave the party and entrusted his share to Dobbs and Curtin until they met again, but Dobbs incapacitated Curtin and took off with all the gold. He then had the bad luck of running into some bandidos, who killed him and took his possessions, scattering the gold to the wind as they mistook it for regular sand. Curtin and Howard couldn't help but laugh at the irony of it all when it was over.
  • Was allowed to ascend as his personal story is an excellent example of how greed can easily be the cause of someone's undoing; Dobbs' lust for riches almost completely eroded away his sanity and alienated the closest thing he had to friends, all before he met his unfortunate end. Thus he was deemed a stellar choice for Death by Materialism. Unfortunately it seems like Dobbs has kept his entire toxic mindset intact and will continue to hunt for fortune as long as he draws breath. If anything, he thinks that a place like the Pantheon must have a lot more riches ready for the taking than a lousy mountain in the Mexico desert.
  • Does not have a lot of friends seeing as he's so unpleasant and downright nasty, plus few are willing to put up with his extensive paranoia that everybody is trying to put one over on him. What he does have are more often business partners who will opportunistically go in search of wealth alongside him, leading to uncertain and temporary alliances that have each participant look over their shoulder all the time. These "allies" have included Wario, who never misses a chance to benefit himself financially, Flintheart Glomgold, who's willing to invest in Dobbs' expeditions so long as he gets his share in hopes of beating Scrooge at being rich, and likewise Rafe Adler, who's not quite so greedy but is always interested in seeing what treasures Dobbs can find.
  • Besides the fact that Dobbs has an on-and-off alliance with his great rival Glomgold, Scrooge McDuck is filled with contempt for Dobbs given how he is completely driven by his greed to the point where he will happily backstab his partners even when he already has more than enough. Dobbs often justifies his attitude by saying those partners would have certainly backstabbed him eventually so they could keep his share. Scrooge does not believe this to be the case at all, at least as far as Curtin and Howard are concerned, and thinks such cynical views help nobody. He feels that even if Dobbs struck it rich, he would never be at peace with himself since he most likely would not have achieved it fair and square if he keeps going the way he's on. Dobbs, characteristically, thinks Scrooge is just trying to hold him back so he can hoard more wealth for himself and disregards him.
  • Hearing there are dragons such as Smaug and Fafnir that keep astronomical fortunes deep in their dens, Dobbs regularly draws up strategies for getting in their lairs and getting out again unscathed and carrying as much of their belongings as he can. The fact that they are, you know, dragons, which would chop him up or roast him for taking even a single coin of their hoard, only gave him momentary pause before his greed and madness overruled any reason (not like it's the first time). He justifies these risky enterprises by claiming those giant lizards do nothing useful with their money and just roll around in it, which seems rather more selfish than him bringing their money out and putting it into circulation. For what it's worth, he has gotten away with raiding Smaug and Fafnir's lairs a few times, and so is hated with a passion by the two.
  • A less fortunate run-in with a monster happened when Dobbs stopped by the House of Emotion. The sheer power of his greed drove No Face crazy and he went on a rampage as he chased Dobbs around, gobbling up several other deities while Dobbs himself managed to elude him for some time, but ultimately got eaten too. Chihiro had to intervene to calm No Face down and everybody was safely regurgitated. Everybody knew Dobbs was to blame for the rampage, but Dobbs, in a rather foul mood after what happened, simply shrugged them off and left, saying he would just never again step foot in a House where there was little of value to be found and he ran the risk of being swallowed by a monster out of nowhere. Chihiro is glad if that's the case, though she can't say she likes Dobbs' attitude.
  • It has come to Indiana Jones' attention that he apparently owes much of his aesthetic to Dobbs, most notably his trademark fedora. Dobbs seems perversely amused that one of the more admired heroes in the Pantheon wouldn't exist in the form is known for if it weren't for him, who is constantly reviled for his greed. Indy for his part finds it all kind of ironic, considering the kind of man Dobbs is; in fact, a lot of the people Indy comes to blows with in his adventures end up succumbing to the same flaws as Dobbs and dying some grisly death because of their materialistic desires. Indy thinks it's pointless to make his predecessor of sorts see the error of his ways, since he is so set on his crazed cynicism. They have since occasionally come to blows when meeting in a place that could have treasure. By extension, Dobbs also made enemies with other adventurer archaeologists like Nathan Drake, Lara Croft, and the League of Explorers given that they also dealt with people like him on their adventures.
  • In one instance he took a break from his expeditions at Rick's Cafe, wherein he caught sight of the proprietor himself and thought it was a neat trick that they looked exactly alike. Rick would be lying to himself if he said he didn't return the interest for similar reasons and for a while he sat with Dobbs for conversation whenever he came to the Cafe. Of course, word of Dobbs' actions eventually reached Rick as well and he was no longer so friendly, though he saw no reason to ban Dobbs from the place either, as long as he was a paying customer. Dobbs was fairly disappointed and said to Rick he thought they understood each other, to which Rick said he understood him all right, as he had seen a fair number of people like Dobbs meet their end at Casablanca. He added that he didn't care what Dobbs did either way, just don't get him involved in his messes. Some time later, Dobbs learned of Rick's actions in helping two resistance fighters at a cost to himself, realizing that they are pretty different after all, as Rick has that damned thing called conscience. They've been distant from each other since.
  • Father Elijah is a man with a similar story to Dobbs, taking place in the Sierra Madre even. There was some treasure inside the Sierra Madre Casino's vault and many people wanted to get their hands on it at any cost. Father Elijah was one of them and took the despicable step of enslaving his competitors with Explosive Leashes to help him break in, justifying his actions by saying something like he's chastising sinners for their materialism, which is a pretty rich thing to say as he's just as guilty of it. He ended locked inside the vault with no means of escape. All Dobbs had to say about these events is that Elijah sounds like a blasted idiot and typically doesn't see in the least that any of this applies to him. However, hearing about the Explosive Leash thing seems to have done the trick for keeping Dobbs from forming any sort of alliance with Elijah, as he won't be the fool who ends up with such a contraption around his neck. Having learned of this, Elijah thinks it's best to get rid of Dobbs as a potential rival instead of trying to bring him to his side (though he thinks it's a pity given their shared connection to the Sierra Madre).
  • Since he had some bad encounters with bandits in life, one of which ended in his gruesome death by machete, Dobbs is extra cautious as there are a fair few such characters in the Pantheon and he is determined never to get cornered by them again. One of the more notorious bandits is Yosemite Sam, who is so boisterous and loud one can sense him from quite some distance, which Dobbs is thankful for as that gives him more preparation time to deal with him, even if Sam's terrible temperament also makes him somewhat unpredictable. And still on the topic of wild west archetypes, Dobbs once got help from John Marston in fending off Sam, although afterwards Marston quickly dissociated himself from Dobbs after learning what kind of man he was; he has dealt with plenty of the greedy bastards that Dobbs reminds him of to put up with him any further.
  • "Nobody puts one over on Fred C. Dobbs!"

So, the TV World doesn't really fit Trapped in TV Land since it's not a real show. and Psychological Torment Zone has a better pick by Hamana.

I intend to rework the Dominion to hold Ominous Fog instead. After all, the TV World is most known for having that fog around, and it's quite oppressive to be in. Yes, Ameno-Sagiri is technically the culprit, but still.
