Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

I'm wondering if it's worth keeping the spoiler tags on Kayano and Itona. It's been several years since the reveal with the former, and the latter joined Class 3-E halfway through the story, and I really don't like that spoiler tags affecting potential interactions post-reveal/development. Thoughts?

Shining Armor, God of 'Shine' Names Pertaining to Benevolence (Twilight's B.B.B.F.F. (Big Brother Best Friend Forever), Captain of the Royal Guard, Prince/Emperor Shining Armor)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shining_armor_vector_6724.png
  • Speaking of youth, it is said that the two meet and fell in love with each other during high-school (?). Since it was years ago and Canterlot was all 80's at the time, those who fell in love during those time who touched by them.
  • The dorkiness in him despite being a knight found him a companion in Spiderman who is also a hero that is a massive dork.
  • As a knight and the Captain of the Guard, he was practically the leader of what is considered the entire military force in Equestria, protecting his kingdom and family. Even after becoming regent ruler of the Crystal Empire, the only thing that changed was who he was training.
Joined alongside several good knights, he has considered joining the GUAG Sacred Knights to find good allies.
  • He would not stand evil brothers who act cruel toward their own siblings, especially those that would dare try to harm Twilight Sparkle.
    • Though Shining Armor sometimes make fun of Axel because of his Butt-Monkey status, he admits that he like his protective of children and his siblings and willing to protect them at all cost, like what he would do with his sister.
  • Has a terrible case of motion sickness, and constantly has to fight it when on an airborne vessel.
  • Apparently, his rock performance to woo Cadance was what got Vinyl Scratch her cutie mark when she was fascinated by the music.
  • The House of Sports joked about making "wife-tossing" an official sport when Shining Armor threw Cadance like a javelin in the Crystal Empire. Jokingly, Bob Parr agree with the assessment.
  • Domon is impressed in how he and Princess Cadance defeated Chrysalis resembles that of Sekiha Love Love Tenkyoken. Both he and Cadance actually tried to imitate this act once.
  • There are rumors of Shining Armor having a child not through Cadance but through Queen Chrysalis, during his Mind Control. Not only were the rumor false and demonizing (especially since that would make him victim of rape by deceit), but also aggravates him whenever this is brought up. Even more frustrating when he and Cadance now have a foal by the name Flurry Heart.
  • Humorously, some suggest that Shining Armor was used for the voice tester for Megaman.EXE. The latter is confused of why the House of Technology wanted to use him as the basis of his voice.
    • On top of similar-voice related reasons, their shared tenures as Captain of the Guard before moving on to greater duties is what got him on amicable terms with Jaller. He sometimes even gets into joint missions with the rest of the Toa Mahri.
  • When asked where he was during the Storm King's attack on Canterlot, he doesn't have a ready reply save that he was handling duties in the Crystal Empire and caring for Flurry Heart. After he heard what happened, he berated himself for not being there (where he at least could've barred the Storm King's troops long enough for the guards to get in formation ("Why weren't they present at all during that?" he also asked) and for the populace to evacuate), and Cadance assured him that it's not his fault and that he probably wouldn't have made a difference given the Storm King's forces and Tempest Shadow's Obsidian Orbs. And given that the Storm King was after four alicorn princesses, it was a good thing Flurry Heart wasn't at Canterlot.

Takuma Saiou, God of Tarot Troubles (Sartorius)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/takuma_saiou_by_dragonballzcz_d59pfs3_pre.png
  • Pities: Future Diary Holders (except Eleventh)
  • Takuma Saiou and his sister Mizuchi were children born with the unique ability to see into the future, an ability that caused them to be shunned by others and eventually end up on the streets. Eventually, Saiou created a small fortune-telling business when the two were older, but when a stranger appeared to consult him concerning a card known as "The Ultimate D", a strange force possessed Saiou, a force known as The Light of Destruction. Under its influence, Saiou set his eyes on Duel Academy, creating the cult known as the Society of Light, preparing to use the laser satellite SORA to destroy the world. However, thanks to the efforts of Judai Yuki, Saiou was set free from its influence and his powers vanished.
    • About a year later, Saiou would return, revealing to an at-the-time cynical Judai that the Light of Destruction incident, along with the earlier Sacred Beast incident and the matter with Yubel, had weakened the fabric of dimensions and would create a new calamity, one known as Darkness. While at first an ally to Judai concerning this matter, Mizuchi's kidnapping by Darkness caused Saiou to turn on Judai, a decision influenced by how his loss of power made him feel powerless to protect her. He dueled Judai again, but was defeated once more, a loss he accepted with a twinge of self-depreciation, before Darkness' defeat freed him.
  • Saiou's ascension was marred by these drastic points in his life, as while his most prominent role featured him using his tarot-themed deck as as basis for his light-themed powers, his next had those powers gone in favor of a dark-themed boost from Darkness, while cheating by slipping Arcana Force 0: The Fool into Judai's deck. Ultimately however, due to his consistent motif of Tarot cards, that was chosen to be his title in the end.
    • He was initially ascended to the House of Faith in his Season 2 self in order to impose his dark faith in the Pantheon. That, and to show the rest of the Gods his skills in the Duel Monsters card game. However, cosmic intervention (and sabotage from a few GUAL Ministry Judges) "updated" him to account for his actions in the Darkness Arc.
  • Due to the presence of the Light of Destruction in the Pantheon, whom he used to herald, many fear that Saiou could be brainwashed yet again, a persistent threat hanging over his head. Judai is determined that that doesn't happen again, and for now anyways, the Light has not made any moves... His powers likewise, have returned, but are not as strong as they used to be, putting him at Lesser God rank for now.
  • Back when he was brainwashed, he would have verily enjoyed that his inspirational figures, Gill and Jedah Dohma, had joined the Pantheon. Nowadays, not so much.
  • Many have put his rank into question, given that his only power is fortune-telling. Until it was found that he managed to get the control of the SORA again (its original owner is kinda susceptible to brainwashing). Though it's vague what the satellite actually does, as it originally destroys everything on sight but there are other times where it simply brainwashes everyone into obedience. No matter what it will do, it's for this reason(s) that YHVH is very interested in having him in the GUAL...
  • His prior command of the SORA satellite (either for destruction or for brainwashing) created a few bits of contention with the following people:
    • Keybearer Sora was not pleased in the least to find out about another evil use of his name and wonders if the Yu-Gi-Oh!-verse is conspiring against him. Saiou was confused at this, looked a bit deeper into prior events and...
    • Found that the duelist Sora is slightly terrified of the satellite and even wonders if he was named after it, but that is highly unlikely. Saiou's opinion of him was one of disturbance considering how Sora was indoctrinated into the beliefs of a truly evil version of Duel Academy, and was quite glad to know that he broke out of those thoughts.
      • He would explain to Keyblader-Sora the context of these events, assuring him it was less confusing than whatever Xehanort had cooked up. Or he would, had it not been for Sora vanishing thanks to Xehanort's schemes resulting in the boy having to sacrifice himself to get Kairi back after Xehanort killed her to summon Kingdom Hearts. Saiou was horrified to learn this, and views Xehanort as a monster for pulling such a vile action to push his mad agenda further.
  • Besides Jaden, there is one other Duelist he harbors intrigue in; (Insert Name Here) when in the form of "Hat Guy". This is mainly due to when in that form, his deck layout and strategy is unpredictable because there's no consistent theme, and he seems unable to be tied to destiny (at least in terms of defeat or victory) because of it.
  • His prior method of getting people to join him during his time at Duel Academy struck a chord with the Dimensional Counterparts, due to them being reminded of The Doktor, who utilized parasitic implants to control people in Academia, in particular the Bracelet Girls. And by chord, we mean, deep unease and hands on duel disks to hold him back. It took a large amount of explanation on Saiou's part to explain the differences, and he has assured them that he finds The Doktor to be revolting in his methods.
    • On a more humorous note, Yuya is also unnerved by Saiou's Tarot-deck, as the Arcana Force monsters were used by one Mieru Hochun, an Abhorrent Admirer who took an...interest in Yuya after her duel with him. Yuzu of course, was more angered than unnerved, especially since Mieru decided to become Saiou's follower so as to divine a future with her 'darling'. Saiou couldn't help but laugh in relief to himself, finding the situation a welcome change of pace.
  • He has great sympathy towards the Diary Holders (aside from the unascended Eleventh for making the whole Survival Game) due to their pasts leading them to becoming what they were before gaining the power to read the future, which really hit home for him. He admits to not finding any real moral high ground when comparing these situations, but is willing to speak with them if the possibility presents itself.
  • He doesn't get out of his temple that frequently, preferring to read the cards about the Pantheon's future, so many were surprised when he summoned Arcana Force XXI - The World in one duel against Judai, since he sounded like Dio Brando. It really didn't help that he shouted the words out loud and that his ace monster has the effect to skip the opponent's turn.
    • He also sounds similar to Deadpool and Excalibur. Let's just say he considers both different kind of fools (ﺧ益ﺨ) that the usual kind he often refers to. This applies both before and after the Light influencing him.
  • Seems to be mildly interested in the gods coming from the Persona series, possibly because of his constant tarot card-reading. Tatsuya is the one that amuses him the most for sounding similar to him.
    • After his recovery from the Light of Ruin's control, he was approached by one of them. Surprisingly, it wasn't a Persona-user, but one of the Confidants of Ren Amamiya—the leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts who had purged the Light of Ruin from his soul. It was a fortune teller by the name of Chihaya Mifune.
    • She knows what it's like to have one's fortune not come out exactly as predicted, and to be vexed by such results, only in her case, it was ultimately to her benefit as Joker was never in opposition to her to begin with, though he certainly was against her former employers. She's helping him get acquainted with the other Forseers.
  • No, he doesn't worship Light Yagami, don't ask him again. And no, he doesn't worship the White either, though it really does make you wonder with that satellite... And now that he's freed, they have become his enemies, too, especially the latter since it reminds him of Darkness, who had abducted his sister once, leading him to try and duel against Jaden in order to save her. Light has also already determined him to be a potential enemy, and Saiou returns the sentiment, finding Kira to be a monster.
  • He has found an ally in Oriko Mikuni, who understands his plight and can also see the future. She and Ryoga Kamishiro really pity him, especially the latter since he was also a victim of possession and resigned himself to fighting Yuma in order to protect his people. Saiou is grateful for their companionship. They had been working with Eliphas to snap him out of his possession without the Great Will's intervention, and they eventually succeeded.
  • Has a considerable amount of respect towards Makoto Naegi because he reminds him of Judai. Naegi is also reminded a little of his classmate Yasuhiro Hagakure. He is trying to teach him Dueling Monsters even if his luck would be the bane for his fortune-telling abilities.
  • He once warned the Radiant Heroes with a prediction that said "that one similar to me that some of you may not want to be ascended is coming soon". Who knows what he is talking about...
  • Due to his fatalism, he can often be found together with Kyurem. It's not a question of if, but when either one of them will say "You Can't Fight Fate" or "Because Destiny Says So". Practically their unofficial catchphrases when they are together.
  • For your information, Takuma Saiou is his given name for the Japanese-speaking Gods and Sartorius is his only name for the English-speaking Gods. After his recovery, though? He prefers to go by his Japanese name and associates his English one with his brainwashed self.

...Why did you put the stuff I removed BACK into his profile? That was deleted because it no longer applied, or moved to streamline it.

My [tdown] remains. I also informed you that there were links to either add back in or edit, which I did not have time to do.

Is the problem with Takuma in regards to later development after he was ascended or was he ascended without taking account certain development in regards to the series? If the latter, sometimes it is better to just retcon everything. Start from scratch.

[up] Essentially. Takuma's original profile was relying too heavily on his S2 depiction and tried to shoehorn YHVH in, by making the Light of Destruction an "aspect" of him (An detail I deleted in my edit, but found was put back into the source when Nightelf made his re-adjustment).

The edits I did were essentially starting over from scratch and using a broad depiction of both S2 and S4, and keeping the profile a bit more neutral. One thing I edited in was the Dub vs. Sub name, by simply having Japanese deities refer to him as Takuma, and others using Sartorius. Nightelf however, re-edited in the name difference being a consequence of his actions, which I feel is a bit forced compared to the simpler solution above.

I honestly feel that his profile is one that needed to be retconned into more general terms instead of trying to stretch out some kind of plot, hence why I just gave him general ascension terms instead of mentioning any reworks, which Nightelf re-inserted into the profile.

Heya, so sorry for the radio silence here. My dad had a back surgery which resulted in him being in the hospital for about a week, so I had to keep the house clean with my sister as well as decorated for Christmas. Thankfully he is home and doing better now that I feel like I can come back here without worrying about him.

So, what’s on the menu for toda-

Legal issues are the only reason why the Trope Pantheon isn't real

Are these good to go?

The Celestial Toymaker, God of Wicked Toymakers (The Guardian of Dreams, the Crystal Guardian, The Mandarin, The Cosmic Puppeteer)

  • Symbol: A bunch of large toys
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Humanoid Abomination, Wicked Toymaker, Bends Reality, Stays In His "Toyroom", Motivated By Boredom, Psychopathic Manchild, Heads I Win, Tails You Lose, Ever Polite, Bored By Immortality, Physical God

  • Banned from: The House of Gaming
  • Interests: Slappy the Dummy
  • Respects: Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson
  • Allies: Mr Mxyzptlk, Akihiko Kayaba, Daniel D'arby
  • Enemies: The SCP Foundation, Clark Kent/Superman, The toys from Toy Story, most toy deities, Nobuyuki Sugou, Bob and George
  • The Celestial Toymaker is an enigmatic and extraordinarily powerful, yet childish being who resides in his own dimension known as the Celestial Toyroom. He abducts people to play his games, usually with big toys and large scale games. If he wins, the losers become his toys. If he loses, he destroys the toyroom. The Toymaker can survive this and recreate his realm, but good luck surviving it.
  • Was supposed to meet the Doctor again, but the sequel to "The Celestial Toymaker" never got made. He has shown up in the expanded universe, though. Various origins have been given to him-a member of the Guardians of Time, originating from another universe, what can be agreed on is that he's not in any way human. And he entered the pantheon because, like his games, it's a way to entertain him from the boredom of eternal life.
  • Though amused greatly by the Trope Pantheon, the Celestial Toymaker isn't interested in taking sides with the various alliance leaders. Cosmos and Melkor are relieved and frustrated respectively that he doesn't use his powers for more evil. However the Toymaker does respect the creators of Dungeons & Dragons, as it is a game he has enjoyed playing and it forms the basis of the pantheon he finds amusing.
  • As the true nature of the Toymaker is up for debate, and he's a Humanoid Abomination who turns people into his toys if they lose, the SCP Foundation regards him as an anomalous threat to normalcy. While his patterns are predictable and there are more active threats, they as still working to contain him, especially after his comment that some of the SCPs could be interesting to play with. The Toymaker is most interested in Dr Wondertainment's propensity for dangerous toys, and has made them his high priest.
  • Wishes to play with the Doctor again, however his grabbing of the TARDIS was intercepted by Rick's portal gun. Finding him just as intelligent, he forced Rick play a game of Trilogic. As he rare has to fight reality warpers, he instead focused on manipulating the Toymaker's ego and desire for a Worthy Opponent to distract him long enough to escape once he finished the game(the portal gun wasn't working as well in the Toymaker's presence). All while pretending he's not as good at it than he seems to keep the charade up. Though he acted crass, the Toymaker enjoyed his moxie and considered him a Worthy Opponent.
  • Bob and George had the misfortune of their dimensional jump leading them to the Toyroom. Bob made a bargain that they get to choose the game, that being the original 6 Mega Man video games. In addition, it must happen within the narrative of Bob and George. The Toymaker only accepted if the stakes were raised higher; if they lose, he's going to bring in all their friends and he will makes the rules then. They won because of their experience, and the Celestial Toymaker destroyed the realm. However as it took within the actual webcomic, they miraculous escaped with space-time shenanigans since the title characters can't be killed off.
  • The next on the Toymaker's list of those to kidnap was the Man of Steel himself. This immediately got Mr Mxyzptlk's attention because Superman is his to play with and troll. The imp's fifth-dimensional powers proved completely overpowering to the Celestial Toymaker, and he had to concede. However on observing his antics, Mxy became fond of him because they're like two peas in a pod; phenomenally powerful, mostly amoral beings who love to play around with people. The two departed on good terms, with hopes for a friendly game between the two and learning new ways to have fun; no risks involved.
  • Most of the toys in the pantheon are creeped out by the Celestial Toymaker due to his turning people into his toys and playthings when they lose, undoubtedly a Fate Worse than Death. The toys of Toy Story think his "playtime" is every kind of messed up. Slappy the Dummy, however, likes the way he plays with people's lives and wants to play a role. The Toymaker just sees Slappy as uncouth. Unlike the dummy, he is nothing but polite.
  • The Celestial Toymaker has been unanimously banned from the House of Gaming, in fear he will try to turn the house into his new toyroom. People from the house are still allowed to visit him, but so far the only one who even dared was Akihiko Kayaba. Mainly because the Toymaker had no intention of putting him in a game, as he respects his handiwork with SAO and his Game Master roles. Akihiko is wary around the Toymaker, though it's difficult to say he has a moral high ground and the Toymaker will play ball around him because of the aforementioned respect.
  • Though a Sore Loser, the Celestial Toymaker abides by a certain set of rules. He has little patience for cheaters either. Despite his otherwise amoral personality, he considers Nobuyuki Sugou to be trash. To convince him to behave himself with the ban, they handed Sugou to him to torment. Sugou lost and became the Toymaker's toy, a truly horrible fate, but nobody cared. The Toymaker eventually got bored and threw him away.
  • While he doesn't like cheaters, the Celestial Toymaker does tolerate it from Daniel D'arby as he proves classy and clever about it. Just as long as he gets to be classy and clever cheating too; it's only fair. Daniel accepted, and though he lost, the Toymaker had such fun he decided not to make him his toy and instead let him go so they can have normal gambling sessions. The elder D'arby brother can count himself lucky the Toymaker was in a good mood, and Telence suspects he wouldn't be able to pull the same stunt on the Toymaker.

  • Heralds: Ichika Kaneki (his daughter, shared with Touka), Hideyoshi "Hide" Nagachika/Scarecrow (his best friend), along with any former members of Goatnote  and the Quinx Squad. There's a possibility that Rize might be a herald, given how intertwined their psyches are, but...
  • Allies: Touka Kirishima (his wife), Shinji Ikari, Seras Victoria, Inaho Kaizuka, James Heller, Venom
  • Odd Friendship: Harvey Dent/Two Face (the Harvey side only), Professor Agasa (Haibara's herald)
  • Friendly Rival (in the coffee business): Godot
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Alucard, and due to unfortunate circumstances, Shuichi Akai
  • Enemies: Arthas Menethil, Nagash and the Grand United Alliance of Destruction, Hannibal Lecter, Jason Voorhees, William Stryker, Alex Mercer, Millennium, The Black Organization, Toyotomi Hideyoshi
  • Respected by: Vlad von Carstein (one-sided)
  • Pities: Ai Haibara, Arakune, Merkava
  • Opposes: Eren Yeager
  • Not to be confused with: Ken Masters
  • Conflicting Opinion: Rufus, Settra the Imperishable
  • With all the mighty races and species of beasts, beings and spirits in the Pantheon, one would think that all the well-known ones would be accounted for, but alas, that was not the case. It took a while, but eventually the trope of Our Ghouls Are Creepier came up on the docket. Since no ghouls were present in the Pantheon, Kaneki was nominated to the spot. The fact that he is the current One-Eyed King, a legendary symbol of peace between humans and ghouls probably swung the nomination in his favour. There was a caveat though: Kaneki insisted that his wife at least ascend with him on an equal standing and not as a herald, otherwise he would refuse. Luckily a trope was available, so it was that Ken Kaneki and Touka Kirishima were ascended to the Pantheon.
  • Ken Kaneki has been characterized by one thing: to protect his loved ones, motivated by his fear of being alone. An abusive childhood courtesy of his mother and stepmother respectively left him with the lack of a reliable source of support. Becoming an orphan after the former died from overwork and the latter abandoned him, he latched onto a kindred spirit, Rize Kamishiro for comfort (and a date). Too bad she turned out to be a vicious ghoul infamous as a "Binge Eater". When she was crushed by steel beams while attacking Kaneki, he was rescued and surgically implanted with Rize's kagunenote  by Dr. Akihiro Kanou to save his life, turning him into a half-human, half-ghoul hybrid. He was employed by Anteiku, a coffee shop and secret haven for ghouls to protect him from himself and others who sought his kind's demise, wearing a mask to disguise himself when feeding. This didn't stop him from getting captured and tortured to near-insanity by an executive of Aogiri Tree (a ghoul terrorist organization) named Yamori. In the Pantheon, he still suffers from the resultant trauma, necessitating regular therapy sessions in the House of Health and Diseases.
    • A big problem for him in the Pantheon currently is how to handle a Split Personality spawned from said trauma, Haise Sasaki. After suffering a head injury from investigator Kishou Arima protecting Anteiku from a CCG attack, a new personality was created for him in custody so he could serve as a mentor to the Quinx Squad, Super Soldiers with surgically-attached quinques. He eventuallynote  regained his memories and defected from the CCG. The House of Health and Diseases has considered splitting Haise from Kaneki into a separate body for humanitarian reasons, though this may be difficult given the possible stress on Kaneki's body.
    • Another one is his status as the only ghoul in the Pantheon (give or take his wife, his heralds, or any similar monsters). Since he can only consume human flesh (and unlike some others who relish at the prospect, hates doing it) and once satiated said need by consuming the flesh of suicide victims, it poses a challenge in the Pantheon where the mood is far more optimistic and corpses are quickly disposed of. He was saddened to learn there was a House of Food, since he can only eat human flesh and even the sub-house of Flesh Eaters is too much for him. To remedy this, good-aligned residents of the House of Science are using Kimi Nishino's research on synthetic food for ghouls to create a serum to apply on meals so they taste like normal food to him (and possibly similar species). They have only been marginally more successful than Kimi in this department. Kaneki has been in conflict with Merkava (and to a certain extent Arakune) regarding this issue, where he was forced to use his half-kakuja form to escape Merkava after seeing how crazed he was. Kaneki has made it clear he will not go after innocents, so if he does go after flesh, it's either he's lost it or the target in question is a villainous Asshole Victim.
    • Just like with a lot of anime couples, Kaneki's relationship with Touka started off rocky, when she treated him roughly and put him through Training from Hell because of his lack of experience as a ghoul. Over time, she would become one of the most important people to him as ghouls protecting them died one by one, helped by the fact that she shared his fear of being alone without a loved one. Even after he lost his memories and became Haise Sasaki, déjà vu would bring a tear to his eye and clue him in on his romantic feelings towards her, to which he would visit :re regularly. After Kaneki reasserted his identity, both would act on their feelings towards each other and (after a fashion) consummate their relationship and marry shortly afterwards. They now raise a lovely five-year old daughter named Ichika, who by Goten's remarks is very engaging and bubbly. Deadpool (who attended their house-warming party) had something else to say, to which he was promptly slapped across the face:
Deadpool: Having a kid before marriage is quite the achievement. Even I never got to do that with Vanessa. Deadpool like.
    • When it came to picking a herald (besides Ichika, who came with the package either way), Hide was a no-brainer. Mr. Nagachika was a loyal friend who was so devoted to him to the point of brotherly love. Hide always looked out for his safety, never leaving his side even after becoming a ghoul. The way he looks now is little frightening, since his most of his vocal chords and lower face is gone from allowing Kaneki to feed on him. Yet even now, Hide makes regular visits to the Pantheon when he's not travelling as an envoy for the TSC to share a good cup of coffee with Kaneki. Kaneki has repeatedly suggested that Hide use the medical facilities in the Pantheon to heal his scarring to no avail. Hide would rather retain the marks of how much he's willing to sacrifice for his best buddy.
  • His stance on Pantheon affairs is very much on the neutral side. Having endured literal hell for most of his life as a ghoul, Kaneki has a low interest in the Forever War taking place in the Pantheon. He's content with raising his daughter alongside Touka in their shared temple, a mish-mash of their detached house from the series conclusion and coffee shop :renote  with portal doors opening into Kaneki and Touka's respective sub-houses. Their first days in the Pantheon (aside from entry paperwork and electing heralds) were taken up by refurbishing :re to cater to the many patrons in the Pantheon. If rumours are to be believed, they received some input from the Doctor and Godot to make it bigger on the inside.
    • That doesn't mean that he is completely isolated from Pantheon affairs. While Touka and Renji Yomo (one of his heralds) run the cafe proper, he serves as the intermediary between his world's United Front (a ghoul protection group) and the Tokyo Security Committee (the successor of the CCG) to maintain peace between humans and ghouls in the wake of the Defense of Tokyo.
    • While not interested in the conflict between the Grand United Alliances, he is quick to step in should anything come up that risks harming his loved ones, in which case he's part of the GUAG Combat Division. The time Nagash captured him for conversion certainly counts, as does the repeated attempts to kidnap him, his wife or his daughter to creates quinques. After FBI agent Shuichi Akai informed Touka that the Black Organization had a quinque processing facility at an unknown location according to Chie Hori (a friend of Tsukiyama), he and Touka (though he didn't want her to) immediately went to investigate with Chie. Turns out this was a trap and Chie was a disguised BO agent under Vermouth's tutelage and that they was the first test subjects for kakuhou extraction. Both managed to escape, though not before a substantial amount of their rc cells were extracted. Kaneki doesn't know which Organization member ordered their capture, but when he finds out, there's going to be hell to pay. He's grateful to Akai for protecting Ichika alongside Renji during the incident, but it has soured relations between the two.
  • While a lot of deities in the Pantheon have struggled to contend with the knowledge of being fictional characters, Kaneki has taken this revelation quite easily for the most part. As an avid reader of literature and a frequent visitor to the Houses of Knowledge and Narrative, Kaneki is a bit sensitive about it, especially relating to his relationship with Touka. He isn't a fan of how Tokyo Ghoul √A deviated from the manga's storyline and bristles whenever talk of it comes up. Also don't mention any memes he spawned, especially of how he takes overly long walks.
    • This also applies to deities sharing his seiyuu. He can't seem to understand why he always runs into Toyotomi Hideyoshi (a GUAE commander) and Inaho Kaizuka in Alliance engagements. He's cool with Inaho, mainly because he reminds Kaneki of himself in his early days before becoming a ghoul, aside from being a mecha pilot and all, but the GUAG Robot War Division deals with that drama. There's also the fact that his Love Interest shares the same seiyuu as Touka, but he doesn't know that as of yet. Inaho hasn't revealed it for personal reasons. Hideyoshi shares a name with his best friend, but Kaneki doesn't see it as an excuse to beat the ever-loving crap out of him when he threatened to unleash all of his various incarnations on his temple if Kaneki dared cross his path again. Yeah, it wasn't a pleasant day both for him and Kaneki.
    • Relating to his skirmish with the Black Organization, Professor Agasa, a herald of Pantheon denizen Ai Haibara shares his love for puns and wordplay and sometimes enters :re to ask for more trick questions to confuse the Detective Boys with. It is unknown if Kaneki knows of Haibara's relation to the Organization, but it is likely he does but doesn't ask after her for her own well-being. Agasa is one of those labouring to make normal food edible for ghouls, so that's a thing.
    • Knows that there's other people named 'Ken' in the Pantheon, but isn't sure how Rufus could confuse him for Ken Masters, given how his hair is white as opposed to dyed blond. When Rufus mistook him for Masters one time too many, (coincidentally when he was in a sour mood from being captured by Nagash) he asked him what 1000 minus 7 is, leading to a savage beatdown. Kaneki has since apologized and paid for Rufus' hospital fees, and invited him in for a cup of coffee. Rufus as of today still hasn't responded to this invitation.
  • Arthas was interested in how different he is from the Ghouls he usually uses in combat, especially in how more powerful they are compared to his 'howling monkeys'. He intends to kill Kaneki and raise him from the dead as his pawn so he can usurp Melkor's throne in the Grand United Alliance of Evil, but Kaneki has been smart enough to avoid him.
    • He wasn't smart enough to avoid Nagash though, who kidnapped Kaneki and transported him to Ryut in shackles. Having endured enough torture in his life, he soon broke free of his bonds and massacred the small army of Black Lanterns stationed at the entrance. All that was left was a large pile of undead flesh with a warning written in his own blood. No one knows what the warning message is, but Nekron has privately mused that Nagash treads more cautiously around the House of Otherness now. Others in the Grand United Alliance of Destruction (Zamasu included) complain about how Nagash's desire for power has only gained them another enemy with personal enmity towards one of its members. Indeed, the GUAD is among those on Kaneki's most wanted list. No, this doesn't mean that Kaneki is all chummy with Nagash's enemies, especially Settra for his harshness towards his subjects.
  • Given his isolationist policy due to his desire for a peaceful life, his allies and friends in the Pantheon are few and far between. He's friendly to everyone but only has close relations to a select group of deities. Not that he's unwilling to branch out though, since plenty of people visit :re. Hannibal Lecter is on the ban list, mainly because he's a human who eats human flesh and he doesn't want people like that on his doorstep.
    • Gets along with Seras swimmingly as they both were turned into creatures in order to survive, the difference being that Seras chose to become a vampire of her own free will as opposed to Kaneki who was unwillingly and unknowingly experimented on. Her wild temperament and ferocity when angered by people like Zorin Blitz reminds him of Rize. Unsurprising then that Kaneki feels remnants of Rize in his sub-conscious rising to the surface when he meets with Seras. He isn't a fan of Alucard though, given how much he reminds him of his post-Aogiri self and scares Touka. He has warned Alucard not to get his family mixed up in some Millennium plot unless no other choice is available.
    • Has some kinship with nearly anyone having a Split Personality in the Pantheon, considering how badly it affected his psyche. Most noticeable among them is Shinji Ikari. Both Kaneki and the EVA-01 pilot both lost their mothers at a young age (Kaneki's to overworking and Shinji's to an EVA experiment) and were forced into a life they never wanted, becoming a Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds in the process.note . Kaneki is horrified at how decisions by the authority figures working towards selfish goals resulted in the Third Impact courtesy of him and his fellow pilots (Rei in particular). He doesn't want Shinji to be subject to such pain again and has made it clear that, like Hide, Shinji is someone he will protect.
    • Another is Two-Face, but only the Harvey side. Having met people with a strong but misguided sense of justice, he can empathize with Harvey for being a honourable man in a dishonourable world who ultimately was unwillingly brought down to their level. Dent reminds him of Amon to a certain extent.
    • He gained the interest of Scolipede for his centipede-styled kagune, who pities him for the trials he has gone through, far worse than anything Team Plasma could do to him. He elected to become Kaneki's Pokémon partner to watch over him and serve as a Morality Pet on the off-chance he goes berserk again. Scolipede serves as Kaneki's go-to weapon when in battle as a substitute for his half-kakuja state when the going gets tough. A deep connection with his partner has rumours floating around that he can achieve a Mega Evolution without the assistance of a Mega Stone.
    • He's a fervent advocate of equal rights for all species in the Pantheon, which has earned him the respect of most good-aligned mutants, and the ever-loving hate of William Stryker. While Kaneki has declined an invitation from Charles Xavier to come to the X-Mansion, he's made it clear that he supports Charles' agenda and intends to do what he can from the sidelines. Kaneki's herald Koutarou Amon, former Ghoul Investigator nearly threw up in his mouth when he saw how similar in personality Stryker was to his abusive foster father Donato Porpora and had this to say:
Amon: Put those two in a ring together. I'd hate to see who destroys the other first.
    • Has made an alliance with Venom (Eddie) and Alex Mercer based on their fierce protectiveness of their loved ones, of which no one knows the nature of right now. Vlad von Carstein has expressed some interest in recruiting the group into the Grand United Alliance of Chaos, if only to give Venom and Kaneki especially a place in the larger scope of the Pantheon. Kaneki refused the offer on their behalf, coldly rebuffing Vlad. Surprisingly, the stand-off ended with no bloodshed and Vlad continues to respect Kaneki for his dedication. In his view, an alliance is inevitable since both despise Nagash with a passion.
  • Do not piss him off. If he starts asking you what a thousand minus seven is whilst cracking his knuckles, you better get ready for a savage beatdown. Plenty have attempted to hurt his friends only to get 'the treatment'. He shares the same belief as some other deities in the Pantheon: hurt my friends, and I will kill you.
    • He was once an ally of Eren Yeager to this end, concurring with his belief that loved ones always come first, in Eren's case being his friends and his people, the Eldians. However, even Kaneki has standards he would never cross. Kaneki was absolutely horrified when he learnt that Eren had gone full Omnicidal Maniac and released the Wall Titans to destroy all life outside of Paradis Island to save his people from persecution. Ever since, Kaneki has cut off all ties to Eren until he can regain some sense (even he knows better than to directly confront him now that he has the power of the Founding Titan) and may be considering intervening in the war on Paradis. Pending recent developments, this seems unlikely.
    • The same applies to Jason Voorhees, who dealt Ichika a nasty injury that would have been fatal had they not been taking a walk near the House of Health and Diseases. Paramedics hurried her away while Kaneki beat the ever-living crap out the giant zombie with a hockey mask and a machete. A good reason why Kaneki unloaded all his fury on Jason is because Yamori, the Aogiri executive who tortured him was nicknamed "the 13th Ward's Jason", an Expy of the famous horror movie serial killer.
  • To this day, Kaneki remains a happy family man in the Pantheon, despite all the new problems that have come up since his ascension. If someone wants to hurt Kaneki, make sure you can back it up. Otherwise, don't tickle the sleeping dragon.
I don't care about taking the side of those I cannot see. I fight for those close to me. And it just so happens that they're mostly ghouls.

[up][up] Issei Hyodo was also attacked by his date at the beginning of the series, which started his supernatural adventures, albeit with less suffering compared to Kaneki.

As for the Takuma/Sartorius thing, I don't know about YuGiOh to help with the rework, but it's odd that nightelf keeps reinserting that "LOD = YHVH" narrative even though they're completely different characters. Do they not know about the work and relying too much on the profile trivia, or do they think it's good enough to keep? Because the rest of the board clearly disagrees with them. Perhaps he may need to be reworked by someone who knows their YuGiOh.

I received approval to replace Durant's profile with Atom Ant not long ago. Here's a quick draft for this superpowered crime-fighting ant. Suggestions for additional interactions would be welcome.

Atom Ant, God of Strong Ants

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Atom_Ant_2022.png
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: The letter A superimposed on some weights
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Pint-Sized Powerhouse, Flying Brick, Animal Superhero, Four-Legged Insect, A Name that Sounds like “Adamant”
  • Domains: Ants, Strength, Heroism
  • Allies: Hank Pym, Superman, Flik & Z
  • Enemies: Dr. Eggman, Dr. Wily
  • Crime is running rampant in a city and despite the police trying to make an effort to stop it, they are ultimately powerless to do anything to these criminals. In order to put these criminals behind bars, they turn to Atom Ant, an ant with the ability to fly and possess strength far stronger than the average human (and ant for that matter). With Atom’s help, plans such as a mad scientist’s faulty inventions and a dastardly flea with strength close to that of Atom’s have been thwarted. If he isn’t being summoned for help, he’ll be at his home, just relaxing and lifting weights (which are apparently needed for him to maintain his strength).
  • Another crime wave struck the Pantheon, many of the more competent officers were hung up on the crimes that they specialized in, and a lot of powerful superheroes that could handle most of the other crimes the rest of law enforcement was left to handle were unavailable. A distress signal was sent out in the hopes that somebody would pick up and help stop the criminals that were still out there. It took a few minutes, but they were able to get ahold of a superhero that offered to round up any remaining criminals that were causing chaos. They had a hard time believing that an ant would be able to do it all, but they placed their faith in Atom after being demonstrated his strength via catching a criminal that underestimated Atom. After a while, the crime wave came to an end and Atom settled down in the Pantheon, ready to spring into action whenever necessary.
  • Hank Pym learned about the superpowered ant that contributed to stopping the aforementioned crime wave and was curious to learn more about Atom. A meeting between Hank and Atom was arranged by the former and the latter was eager to meet up with a superhero that understands ants really well. Atom arrived at Hank’s place, the latter having shrunken himself to about Atom’s size to have their talk. Atom then noticed a multitude of ants nearby, looking very different compared to himself, with Hank stating that he is able to communicate with ants like those and have helped him quite a bit. Atom was eager to work with Hank, offering to help him out whenever Hank is having trouble with certain criminals.
  • One of Atom’s adventures involved Superguy, or more accurately, the actor playing the latter character and in more ways than one, Superguy can be considered similar to Superman in terms of build and abilities. Atom found out about Superman via watching a bit of TV in his downtime and quickly admired the Man of Steel’s adherence to justice and protecting the weak. It helps that unlike “Superguy”, Superman isn’t merely a regular actor (though he does have to use a disguise to blend in with normal people) and that Superman is able to take on threats that are too much for Atom to handle.

[up][up][up]Is it a case of its an aspect of the Biblical God? Pretty much this is my head canon for the multiple Biblical God in that they are the same but are split up.

[up][up] No, the Light of Destruction, which has ascended, is a celestial entity that desires to destroy the universe. It's described as being a sentient white hole, and was defeated off-screen between S3 and S4 of GX. It has no relation to the biblical god whatsoever, and its motives were described as being completely different from YHVH in its own profile.

Okay, I apologize for reintegrating the past. I guess you all have a point there; focusing too much on an old season without taking into account the new one has to be abolished. Kill the past, as it were.

And clearly I don't have what it takes to rework Shining Armor. Just how the hell did a few sentences make it much worse? I think it's more like the profile didn't "age well". Feel free to claim the rights to rework his profile from me if any of you so wish, but I believe it's still best that his trope title be changed.

I'll see what I can do with Trixie (who I brought back from Deletion) and Starlight (whom I ascended in the first place).

@Weird Warrior: Who's Eric? Remember that some of us don't know the real names of tropers, or those of their avatars.

[up][up] I hate to say this, but your apology is not accepted. Your continuous stubbornness often leads you to repeat the same mistakes ad nauseam, and the fact that the end result of your efforts is often mediocre at best is saying something about you. In the end, while you have the ability to research from multiple work sources, you can't even use them efficently. My advice: actually try to work on the profiles you create and not try to piss people off from your poor research.

@nightelf: I am going to go back and re-edit Saiou's profile to a close approximation of what I had earlier this morning. That includes the facts you tried, for whatever reason, to re-integrate despite the fact that removing these facts were the entire point of the rework, as well that which is in the source, but is not showing up.

...If it wasn't locked. Ah well, I'll wait for it to open up.
