Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Which trope is better for her in the long run if she can't take both?

Miku Hinasaki, Goddess of First-Person Snapshooters OR Magical Cameras

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miku_hinasaki1.jpg
Age 17, in her first foray
Age 19, in the events of Fatal Frame III
Age 37, as of Fatal Frame V
  • Entered the Pantheon after her eventual departure from the realm of the living since even if her daughter rescued her during the events of Fatal Frame V, she didn't have much time left due to the...circumstances of Miu's conception. To her surprise, she ascended in the appearance of her 19-year-old self, when she had worked as Rei Kurosawa's assistant.
  • Given the severe psychological damage on her across three games (she makes no appearance in 2 or 4), she takes regular sessions with Frasier Crane, who by this point has gotten used to all the strangeness the Pantheon has to offer.
  • It was surprising to Miku that in the Pantheon, ghosts are (or can be) as visible to normal people (unless they're specifically hiding) as they are to her.
  • The Camera Obscura can only be used for its intended purpose by a select few people, among them Miku herself. In the hands of most people, it's just an ordinary antique/analog camera.
    • For those with the sixth sense, it works for them just like it does for her, though it seems to be stronger when used by women with such powers than men with the same. On the other hand, most deities in the Pantheon with the sixth sense have strong enough powers to not need the camera, so it's usually best in Miku's hands.
    • As for what kind of camera model it is given the one she used in the Himuro Mansion was smashed by Kirie and given the other one she used was in the Manor of Sleep, it's one of the many other kinds Dr. Kunihiko Asou and his assistants had created. It takes the shape of a Nikon F camera with similar casing and occult marking design as previous Camera Obscuras. It comes "fully upgraded" in all aspects and has all the functions of all previous Camera Obscuras seen and used in all the games. There are also Power-up Lenses and special film caches available at Miku's temple for her to replace and "reload". It's also powerful enough to inflict considerable harm on a Lesser Deity-level ghost with a normal shot, though it's only half as effective on half-ghosts like Youmu and Danny Phantom (unless he's in human form, in which case it merely stings).
      • There are other Camera Obscuras that can do things like return "ghost items" to the physical plane, but Miku's doesn't have that feature.
    • Unfortunately, unlike her first Camera Obscura (technically her brother's), it's not capable of eventually exorcising hostile ghosts with enough snapshots, only driving them away.
    • Another item that she's acquired is the Sacred Stone Amulet (nothing to do with the ones in Magvel), which can slow the movement of all ghosts in her general vicinity. She accrues power to invoke its ability from damage dealt on ghosts (using the Camera Obscura) or taken (on Miku herself) from ghosts.
  • Despite its abilities, due to its effective range, even though it's quite powerful, the Camera Obscura is not that great of a weapon against most of the Pantheon's ghost deities, especially those who are speedy enough to reach Miku before she could catch them in a Shutter Chance, let alone a Fatal Frame, even with the Sacred Stone Amulet to reduce their speed.
    • Danny holds some concern over this as given the ghosts of his world, depending on how strong shots from the Camera Obscura are, she could have trouble against even the Box Ghost unless she gets the jump on him.
    • There's been talk on possible training to hone her quick-shot instincts, but given that the Camera Obscura's shots are usually most effective when aimed and charged up, it would be hard to have her change methods so quickly.
  • While not a proficient koto player, she can read sheet music for it and play from what is written there.
  • Has some experience with the dream world thanks to the Manor of Sleep, though it certainly wasn't pleasant, to say the least, given the curse tormenting her for being unable to save Mafuyu, and it required the efforts of her colleague Rei (with help from fellow Manor of Sleep "visitor" Kei) to bring her back from the brink, and even then she was still in a bad place after that.
    • One night, courtesy of Vaermina, Miku dreamt that she was in the Manor of Sleep once again, but more decrepit, with more ghosts, and without her camera, forcing her to run and hide. And then Freddy Kreuger showed up, ready to do worse to her than any ghost in her world ever could. And then he was driven back by the timely intervention of NiGHTS and Princess Luna (who shortly conjured a Camera Obscura for Miku to help fight back with), and together they ended the nightmare and turned the dreamscape into a more solemn place.
  • <something about technical incest>

Are we sure the Highschool of the Dead cast can't take the second title?

  • Demigods
  • Symbol: The AMS Badge
  • Theme Song: Clear
  • Alignment: Lawful Good for the most part (G was Chaotic Good during the 1991 Bayou City investigation)
  • Portfolio: Critical Existence Failure, Toppling Several Giant Bosses, Government Agents of Fiction
  • Domain(s): Agency, Zombie-Killing, Shooting
  • Heralds: Sophie Richards (Rogan's wife), Kate Green (James's, then G's, partner), Lisa Rogan, Daniel Curien, Harry Harris and Amy Crystal (fellow AMS Agents), Ryan Taylor (James's brother)
  • Allies: Issac Washington (especially for G), Jill Valentine, Simon Belmont, V.S.S.E., all Good-aligned Resident Evil deities, Saeko Busujima, Rei Miyamoto, Juliet Starling, The Green Flu Survivors
  • Enemies: 'The Magician, Albert Wesker, Alex Wesker, Dracula, many undead gods in the Pantheon, particularly the zombie-type
    • G: the other "G"
  • There are times when something dramatic comes off as hilarious and thus the absurdity of the situation puts its pathos to the rout. Unlike Bathos, this Narm isn't intentional. Sometimes though, it then becomes appealing in its own way, and thus becomes Narm Charm.
    • The light gun game franchise The House of the Dead is famous for this. Well, the first two, anyway; the later games made an effort to look decent, and thus lost some of the charm. That is why only AMS Agents Rogan, G, James, and Gary have been selected for the title. That is also why the entirety of AMS isn't nominated like V.S.S.E. had been for Light Gun Game. That and there isn't enough information on AMS in comparison to V.S.S.E.
    • As an afterthought, they were also given the trope Title of the Dead, given the title of their franchise.
  • Agent G was the first of them to ascend, under the title One-Letter Name, and Isaac was there to greet him with an "About time, motherfucker!" G is just as happy to have his old friend in the Pantheon.
  • Applies to all or some of them:
    • * As some of the most famous zombie hunters who ever lived, they naturally don't get along very well with members of the pantheon who have returned from the grave. This can range from mere distrust to outright contempt in the case of Dracula. The House of Vampires and, ironically, the House of Undead have strictly prohibited them from entry out of fear that they'll go on a rampage should they enter.
      • They also hold contempt for those whose experiments make mutants out of the undead, so they especially oppose Albert Wesker, his sister Alex, and their allies.
      • Speaking of the Weskers, the AMS agents occasionally assist Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, and their friends against those scientists and their Umbrella cronies, providing both access to the AMS data base as well as his own skills as an undead creature killer. Once, on a desperate occasion, G even helped Simon Belmont in his fight against Dracula.
      • Dracula's resemblance to G and Rogan's arch enemy, Type-0 "The Magician", has not helped their icy relationship with the vampire. His past partner Kate's run in with the dantean monstrosity Type-β "The World" has also made G suspicious of whether Elsa had any hand in its creation because of its ice powers. They eventually cleared things up with the Arrendellian queen.
    • Technically speaking, save for the events in 1991, Curien's/Goldman's/Thornheart's forces aren't actually comprised of traditional zombies and are likely creations, thus creatures or mutants. For one, they straight up kill people rather than infect them. For another, they come in all shapes and sizes, wield weapons and elemental powers, and can even drive cars.
    • Badass Normals par excellence, between the four, they've killed enormous genetic abominations that can shoot fire, teleport, spawn endless electricity, fly, have multiple heads, swim, shoot webs, wield massive weapons, or manipulate ice. All while using only a six shot 9mm pistol, shotgun, or SMG (with Bottomless Magazines). Their colleagues have killed invulnerable giants, shapeshifters, and immortal evolving doomsday weapons while similarly armed.
    • Sometimes, during zombie-killing operations, instead of toting guns, James and Gary wear SEGA Dreamcast backpacks and keyboards and attack by typing words. Sometimes, it's a white PlayStation 2 instead of a Dreamcast, or a Mega Drive hooked to a tablet of all things, or even just an iPhone (and no backpack).
      • As for why the hell they even have such things, it's because they're Friendly Fireproof since they don't target non-enemy units. That said, without headshots, it means typing speed is the most important thing here.
    • Because they were used as both the code names and major inspiration for the primary undead strains he's fought, the agents were inherently mistrustful of Tarot cards and such motifs, and are uneasy around Nimue Inwudu as a result. And the Persona casts, who all bear various arcanas.
      • However, the Magician's ascension and their own repulse in the face of the mutant has changed G's opinion and they decided that cooperation was the better option.
    • Unlike Rogan, G never settled down and had kids, and thus regards his partner and his wife Sophie as the closest thing he has to a family. During the 1998 Curien Case, Sophie had gravely injured by the bardiche of Type-27 "The Chariot" and was almost considered dead; as a result, G and Rogan have grown to admire people who stay strong in spite of their disabilities.
  • Exclusive to Rogan:
    • <something about being a workaholic>
  • Exclusive to G:
    • Ever since his first mission in Louisiana, he's had a taste for sazeracs, and he'll quickly start acting more like his younger, cockier, edgier self after having a few. He also has a taste for country music.
    • An old wound he received from Kuarl of Type-28 "Judgement" acts up from time to time. Luckily, he's always been stoic in the face of pain, and only lets it affect him when he's not on the job.
    • He will never tell anyone what the G stands for… but if you were to guess 'Gangsta', he wouldn't try to deny it.
    • Hates being mixed up with William Birkin, who also goes by 'G' (and is allied with Wesker), But he's on pleasant terms with both Jake Muller and Sherry Birkin.
    • There've been rumors about G having "metallic"-tasting blood and behaving "mechanically". But he assures folks who ask that he's a 100% organic human being.
  • Exclusive to James:
    • Just like with G, James has an old wound (on top of the one he received from Type-0001 "The Star") that acts up from time to time. Luckily, he's able to power through it, and only lets it affect him when he's not on the job.
    • Has been mocked for pulling a Stupid Sacrifice when the used his PDA-time bomb to destroy The World when he could've easily thrown it. Even if the Star had injured him and he wouldn't have lived for long, there were better ways to go in front of his partner Kate.
  • Exclusive to Gary:
    • As someone introduced to the conflicts they're fighting while they were just newcomers to the agency they are working for, out of all the Resident Evil heroes, Gary gets along best with Leon Kennedy.

First draft of the Idea of Evil restoration

The Idea of Evil, Unholy Living Idea (The Ungodly God Born of Man, God of the Abyss, Desired God)

  • Note: Restoration
  • House: Mentalism Other (House of Mentalism)
  • Overdeity
  • Symbol: The Behelits it spawns
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Absolute Spoiler, God of Evil, Evil As God, Living Idea Of Suffering, Created To Explain Suffering, Eldritch Abomination, Greater-Scope Villain, proving Humans Are Flawed, Because Destiny Says So, Created By Man, Somewhat Unclear Canonicity, Ultimate Evil, As Long as There Is Evil
  • Domains: Suffering, Evil, Ideas, Demons, The Astral Plane, Fate, Divinity
  • Underlings: Griffith And the Godhand
  • Venerated by: Junko Enoshima, Damien Thorn, Dr Weil
  • Allies: Nyarlathotep (Persona), Barbatos, Dis, The Beast
  • Odd Friendship with: Nurgle, Despair of the Endless
  • Rivals: YHVH, the other Chaos Gods, Yuuki Terumi, The Status Quo, The Ebon Dragon, The Bittercold
  • Enemies: Guts and his friends (even if they don't know its existence), Cosmos and the Grand United Alliance of Good, hope bringers by default, Bro'dee Walker, Makoto Naegi, Auriel, Philemon, The Hadou Gods, The Emperor of Mankind, The White, The Spectre, Madoka Kaname, Fused Zamasu, Nekron and the Grand United Alliance of Destruction, YHVH and Lucifer, Iroque, Kratos, Aleph, Lucifer(Supernatural), Ahura Mazda, Cyrus
  • Opposes: The House of Opposing Fate
  • Opposed by: The Love That Moves The Stars
  • Dissapointed in: Angra Mainyu
  • The Idea Of Evil is a being born as a response to humanity's need for a reason for all their suffering, manipulating human affairs and controlling humanity's destiny. It is a common consciousness that transcends individuality, acting as the ego of the world. Its purpose is being responsible for Gut's World being as dark and depressing as it is. Thus it has created every monster, demon, and manipulating every evil force in it's world to cause Suffering.
  • It has gained knowledge of The Pantheon and it will expand it's purpose to spread suffering to this realm as well, though only a handful of members know that it's name and even less knows that it exists. Only Griffith and The Godhand has ever directly had any real face to face. It claims that Griffith is it's Chosen One, meant he may have control over causality and the emotions of humans and gives Griffith the authority that he may do whatever he wants with humans: destroy or liberate them. It has admitted manipulating events surrounding Griffith's ancestry and throughout his life to bring him to that point.
  • Seeks to be the absolute when it comes to gods of evil and despair. The Idea of Evil believes that it is a better lead than Melkor for the Grand United Alliance of Evil, due to existing to explain suffering. Melkor retorts by stating that it is still dependent on humanity, while he is an independent entity who spreads evil beyond Man. The Idea of Evil agrees he has a point and for the most part is on good terms with Melkor, but still covets his role.
  • Existing to enforce a negative status quo in the world of Berserk, the Idea of Evil covets the Status Quo itself and desires to supplicate it. It initially sought to overcome Despair of the Endless, but she represents a far grander hope of despair and on some level the Idea has accepted her supremacy, considering her more as a mentor or older friend. While the Idea didn't plan on it, both the Beast and Yuuki Terumi were hesitant on allying with it because of their superiority complexes. Though believing himself to be the true source of all evil, the Beast ultimately decided it's better to get along. Terumi however just decided to compete with the Idea of Evil due to wanting to bring about his specific flavor of despair, not the Idea's.
  • For apostles and the Godhand, it requires an emotional nadir that it leads to by the manipulation of fate. All so they may make a Deal with the Devil and cross their personal Moral Event Horizon by sacrificing their loved ones. However all Apostles are inevitably doomed to be Dragged Off to Hell on their death. The "despair leads to monstrosity" transformation is something similar to how the Incubators' processes work, but for completely different reasons. The Idea of Evil regards them as competition, but they do not pay it any mind.
  • Given its creation, the Idea of Evil was soon compared to Nyarlathotep, the embodiment of all human evil. Nyarlathotep boasts that it is absolute proof of the inherent wickedness of mankind, and was overjoyed to see such a God of Evil return to the pantheon. The Idea of Evil has become fond of the newly introduced Barbatos, who's Dark Multiverse represents the worst possible outcomes and reflects its pessimistic view on mankind.
  • Zamasu believes the Idea of Evil to be a perfect argument for his hatred of mortals; they created a god to explain their suffering, only to maintain and enforce it. The White believe it's living proof that humanity's fate is a hopeless one, and needs to perish in a mass Mercy Kill. And Lucifer, son of Chuck Shurley, considers it a reason why humans are disgusting. Most ignore their arguments, particularly Lucifer due to the fact he twisted fallen and broken humans into demons. Cyrus has a more rational response, believing the existence of things like it is why he considers the human spirit flawed and the world in need of a restart.
  • It has attempted to break Hope Bringers, and those that try to end suffering as it believes that it is not true of Humanity's true wants and desires as it believes that it humanity's Destiny. As such, it is opposed by all who oppose hope, and conversly venerated by those that worship despair. Junko Enoshima has become the Idea's chief disciple, and Doctor Weil seeks to bring about great suffering in its name due to his nihilistic loathing of humanity and idealism. It has personally taken a liking to Damien Thorn for reminding it of Griffith, and he wishes to bring about the despoiling of creation through the Idea.
  • The existence of the Idea of Evil is one of the few things to bring The Love That Moves The Stars to tears, as He is deeply saddened by His children conceiving of a malevolent god to explain suffering. The Emperor of the King Dolorous emitted a bellowing laugh at such a being's existence. Dis also claims that, as the supposed source of sin and suffering it is the ultimate forefather of the Idea of Evil. Though the Idea of Evil believes he's exaggerating, his cataclysmic evil and involvement in suffering makes him an important ally to the Idea of Evil.
  • Maintaining its existence and purpose through the manipulation of fate, the Idea of Evil seeks control of the House of Prophecy, mainly by supplanting Destiny. It's not going to happen, but it will settle for the destruction of the House of Opposing Fate due to what they represent. Far more worringly is that the Idea of Evil seeks to become a Hadou God, making its will and nature the defining Law of The Multiverse.
  • Despises the Flood, who claims that it is utterly inferior to them. Considering that they ARE the embodiment of the Precursor's will, the ones who created humanity and by extension it, it's not entirely inaccurate, and the Idea of Evil hates them for this fact. It has since swore to destroy them. Being a human Tulpa, the Idea of Evil is in some ways outclassed by the Bittercold who embodies despair from other species. It is also the sole reason why it opposes the GUAD, since it fundamentally needs humanity to exist.
  • YHVH's desire to be the absolute and cosmic law, along with being maintained by worship and desire for law from humanity, makes Him a rival to the Idea of Evil's own desires to be an absolute. Mainly on the Idea's end, as YHVH simply loathes the Idea of Evil. Lucifer loathes the Idea more, mainly because he perceives it as a ugly blot embodying human weakness and preventing mankind from reaching its potential.
  • Absolutely loathes the God Emperor of Mankind, as he is the God of Humanity and fights to make the universe a better place for Mankind to exist in, something the Idea of Evil finds abhorrent. Some parts of it actually fears the Emperor for he is both the equal and Archenemy of the Chaos Gods, beings that much like the Idea of Evil were created from the negative emotions and darkness of living beings. The Idea of Evil recognizes its similarities to the Chaos Gods, and considers the lot his rivals. Well, except Nurgle. They are both forces of suffering and(in different ways) stagnation, after all. Though it doesn't understand Nurgle's twisted view on love.
  • The living antithesis of the belief that The Good Guys Always Win, and that goodness and karma are the ultimate forces behind humanity. Naturally, it is anathema to Cosmos and the GUAG. The Spectre loathes it for being a cosmic Karma Houdini, but as a Tulpa crafted by humanity the Spectre cannot erase something fundamental like he's able to enforce karma on mortals. Ahura Mazda cannot bear its existence and hates what it represents.
  • Angra Mainyu was pleased to see something so inherently horrible ascend, and wished an alliance. The Idea rebuffed him however, decrying the Destructive Spirit as "pathetic". It regards the Ebon Dragon as pathetic, however unlike Ahriman it feels a certain kinship as it exists for a certain purpose, like the Idea. The Idea of Evil explains suffering, while the Ebon Dragon exists to oppose and despoil.
  • So long as humanity desires a reason for suffering, the Idea of Evil will exist to serve as that reason. Even if weakened in the pantheon due to being more optimistic than its setting, it cannot be destroyed. This hasn't stopped Aleph and Kratos from trying to do so, and they pointed out they killed literal gods, so they're confident they can kill man-born gods like the Idea of Evil.

I need to clean up my rework pile

Grievous, God of Frontline Military Leaders (General Grievous, Qymaen jai Sheelal (?) , The Knight Slayer, Space General)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/grievous_swceue.png
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: His mask/face
  • Theme Song: General Grievous's Theme
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil with fits of rage
  • Portfolio: Cyborg, Multi-Armed and Dangerous, Hero Killer, Highly-Active General And A Really Wasteful One At That, Badass Transplant, Coughing, Large Ham, Hair-Trigger Temper
  • Domains: Cyborgs, Villains, Swords, Arms
  • Allies: Count Dooku, Emperor Palpatine, Ultron, Nerissa, Mistral, Gigan, Wat Tambor
  • Enemies: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Yoda, Luke Skywalker Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader
  • Bastard Understudy to: Sheev Palpatine
  • Heralds: MagnaGuards (personal bodyguards)
  • Originally a Kaleesh warlord, Grievous was the leader of Separatist Alliance's Droid Army and one of their greatest warriors, especially once he decided to let his body to be turned into a cyborg to improve his fighting abilities to match even those of the Jedi. Even though he might be a general, he spends a lot of his time doing his own kills.
  • Once he ascended into the Pantheon, GUAE did their best to make sure that Grievous would get back into shape from his barely active self he had become at the end of the war. They were mostly successful, but he does tend to cough quite a bit.
  • In a lot of sense, Grievous is what Anakin would become in the future. Grievous is rather glad that based on how things are in the Pantheon now, he is against Darth Vader rather than with him.
  • Is known as a notorious Hero Killer, having slain multiple Jedis in his life. Barbatos Goetia seem to have quite a bit of respect to the cyborg.
  • While he is easily angered, one thing what angers him the most is calling him a mere droid. He is much more than that and he is ready to proof it. He is also greatly annoyed by Viktor's insistence on this "Glorious Evolution" due of him thinking that Grevious will join him on that.
  • There are some rumours that Grievous might not have been as bad as most people think he was. Some people claim that he was in the past a Proud Warrior Race Guy who became a Fallen Hero after the death of his loved one and joined the Separatist Alliance to help his people, before one "incident" where his ship exploded what forced him to be turned into a cyborg, during which he was turned into the sadistic monster he is known now. As it turned out, this was the case; or rather, it was the case. As it stands now, Grievous was always cold-blooded killer who turned himself into a cyborg since he wanted to become the strongest warrior in the galaxy.
    • Grievous used to be God of Heavily Damaged Villains due of the above background, but since that past of Grievous in now invalid, he had to find a new position.
  • Might have a sister of sort. He has hard time really saying anything on the subject.
  • Was challenged by Gilgamesh in a battle once. Reportedly both of them lost a weapon to another. Well, the weapon did make a fine addition to his collection.
  • As a wielder of 4 lightsabers, the GUAE often wants Grievous to take frontline combat duty as the Sith are notoriously fickle at being in combat. Sadly, Grievous has his own ideas of how to combat too, having been taught by Dooku to use psychology to his advantage. He's not some mere Jedi fighting at the front. He's a planner and an armchair general too, and thus usually attacks when he can use intimidation to his advantage or to finish off worthy opponents.
  • They say that Grand Admiral Thrawn acquired his mask some time after his death. How legitimate it is now is hard to tell, but he wants it back of her does still have it.
  • Probably isn't competing with Jack Atlas with his Wheel Bike.

[up] How about no? This whole Pokémon thing is getting dumb.

Seija again, I guess.

Seija Kijin, Goddess of Contradiction (Counterattacking Amanojaku)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_th14seija21.png
  • Lesser Goddess (Intermediate Goddess when using all of her items)
  • Theme Music: Reverse Ideology
  • Symbol: A circle made out of black, white and red arrows
  • Alignment: The Opposite of You. Though to give her one alignment, Chaotic Neutral with emphasis on Chaotic.
  • Portfolio: Amanojaku, Acting Opposite of Others, Messing with the Screen, Messing With People, Weakling Who Uses Everything She Has, Manipulated Sukuna to Carry Out Her Plan
  • Domains: Youkai, Mentality, Reversion
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Her own Itazura Griefers group (Lambdadelta, Miyo Takano, Rei Shingetsu/Vector, Tohru Adachi, Gengar, Ratatoskr)
  • Opposes: Everyone else! But in particular, The Trollkaiger
  • On/Off Relations with: Shinmyoumaru Sukuna
  • Admires: Raspberyl
  • Seija is an amanojaku, a type of youkai who thrives on conflict. She likes things other people hate, hates when she makes other people happy and doesn't want to give anything in return, even if she profits off something. She is hardly liked, but that is exactly what she likes.
  • She was the reason for the Miracle Mallet incident, having been the one who got Sukuna to use the Miracle Mallet to hopefully reverse the power dynamic of Gensokyo to have the weak rule the strong. Though really, she didn't really care about that specifically. All she wanted to do was to reverse the status quo just because she can.
    • She is notable as unlike many others who have caused incidents, she was not really forgiven on what she did and had caused others to want to hunt her down. However, utilizing items that still had some of the Miracle Mallet's magic in them, Seija was able to ward off the many people who tried to attack her, even when they were using spellcards which would normally be impossible to survive.
  • Seija has the power of "turning anything over". The specifics are not known, but she has shown being able to flip buildings upside-down, mess with the screen and turn danmaku lethal. What else she can do is up to the imagination.
  • Aside of her natural powers, she still has her various "cheat" items to help her out, though she can only carry two at a time. These include the Bloodthirsty Yin-Yang Orb, Tengu's Toy Camera, Gap Folding Umbrella, A Miracle Mallet Replica, Substitute Jizo, Cursed Decoy Doll, Four-Foot Magic Bomb, Ghastly Send-Off Lantern and Nimble Fabric
  • If it wasn't clear already, Seija opposes everyone. Not in the sense of "being the ultimate evil" like Anti-Monitor or Grima, nor an Omnicidal Maniac Knight Templar like Zamasu, but more like "a Troll who wants everyone to hate her". That is the true nature of amanojaku, after all.
    • Because of this, Trollkaiger has gained interest in her, and want her to join their ranks. Where Seija does not like to amuse anyone with her actions, she thinks that being in a group who would oppose almost everyone in the Pantheon would be a great idea. She has no plans on officially joining them, however, and the alliance with them did not last.
  • She knows the visual similarities she shares with Ryuko Matoi. She has gone as far as to wear a fake Senketsu and carry a fake Scissor Blade to intentionally piss her off. However, she has made a deal that she can mess with Nui Harime, if Ryuko can suggest good enough of a plan.
  • To the surprise of many, she actually helped Sakuya and the rest of the Scarlet Devil Mansion crew to save Remilia and make her a goddess. Apparently she just wanted to show that she is not really on GUAE's side by attacking Dracula and Dio Brando, and to piss off Terumi by having another "shitty vampire" ascend.
  • Surprisingly she and Sukuna are still seen together even after the whole Miracle Mallet incident. It seems to be because Sukuna is able to press the right buttons to get Seija to do stuff for her. She definitely doesn't really trust Seija, and Seija knows it.
  • Upon the formation of Itazura Griefers, she was assigned to be their leader. Why is she the leader? Because that position is where she's least likely to screw with the others. Why did she accept it? Because to her, a neutral group between LOL Rangers and Trollkaigers would mean that she can mess with anyone she wishes and not be weighted down by her "alliance".
  • Was one of few people who knew that Hazama was in the Pantheon before he fully ascended. She kept it a secret for everyone else since she thought that it would be more fun that way, and Terumi and Hazama wanted to believe that she wouldn't spill the beans.
  • "The way you reject is the way that I choose, since I know it’ll drive you insane..."

@TPPR - insert obligatory "General Kenobi" and "This will make a fine addition to my collection" memes. That aside, how would Greivous react to characters who are in a similar predicament to what Grievous is going through?

Will begin working on John Kreese, Linkin Park and Kousei/Kaori soon.

Also, I have a trio of Warhammer ideas, but at the same time, because I feel like I'm the only one who's doing profiles from that franchise, I'm having them as adoptable profiles for other users to take.

  • Tyrion and Teclis - Identical Twin ID Tag
    • Being one of the more important character in-lore, Tyrion and Teclis are twin brothers who are highly regarded as heroes of Ulthuan. While they are protective of one another (Mainly Tyrion because of Teclis being a cripple), they are notably different in that Tyrion is a warrior who wields a sword and fights head-on and is relatively straightforward in his personality and mannerisms. In contrast, Teclis is a mage and is a lot more complex and sharp-witted when it comes to his personality.
  • Kroq-Gar/Grymlok - Mounted Combat
    • One of the most powerful and feared of the Lizardmen, Kroq-Gar mounts the Carnosaur Grymlok, the two of them forming a very formidable and terrifying unit in-game. The two of them are also pretty close with one another considering the two have fought alongside each other for a thousand years.
  • Malus Darkblade - The Unfavorite
    • Malus is despised by his father and is overlooked by all of his siblings, even the one who is physically crippled. Even if his mother is one of the few who does care for him, she is not hesitant to manipulate and cast him aside for her own goals. Malus's relationship with his family plays a role in the character embracing The Power of Hate

Before someone asks, yes, I am aware Mounted Combat and The Unfavorite are currently occupied tropes (Mirana and Kurei) and both of these characters occupy two tropes, hence my trope choices for Kroq-Gar and Malus.

[down][tup] for the Shifters.

  • Portfolio: Possess the power to SHIFT, the ability to switch bodies with a version of themselves in another time during moments of extreme danger, usually life threatening
  • Domains: Espers, Mental Time Travel, Puzzles, Numbers, Probability, Alternative Outcomes
  • Herald: Quark (Junpei), Aoi Kurashiki (Akane), Luna, Kyle, and Lagomorph (Sigma), Maria (Carlos)
  • Allies: Snake, , Shinji Ikari, Sora, Beat, every good guy in the Mentalism House, Ever good Blazblue deity, Professor Layton, Frisk, Rintaro Okabe, Taki Tachibana and Mitsuha Miyamizu
  • Enemies: Monokuma and his mastermind, every evil god in the House of Mentalism, Every evil Blazblue deity, Mephiles the Dark, Yoshikage Kira
  • Complicated Relationships: Flowey, all Law Enforcement deities in the Pantheon, (Insert Name Here).
  • Opposed by: The Dahaka
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Rick Sanchez

  • Exclusive to the group:
    • Originally, Junpei Tenmyouji was part of the Pantheon as the God of the Morphogenetic Field, but eventually 5 more from his universe were offered a place in the Pantheon to join him as Gods of Multiple-Choice Future for their ability to experience multiple futures and SHIFT to other timelines to make use of the information they learned. Junpei is all too happy to accept the change, especially since his fiance, Akane, gets to join.
    • Some of the SHIFTers have good relationship with the heroic Danganronpa entities, though Sigma and Akane's relationship with them is a complicated matter. While the latter did start their own Nonary Game, they did it out of good intentions or understandable motives. Of course, the one thing they can agree on is that none of them can stand Junko Enoshima, who started Killing Game and brought about a apocalypse all to satisfy her lust for despair. Even Delta had good intentions in the end, tainted as they were by his atrocities and pointless acts of cruelty.
    • The SHIFTers are also enemies with Yoshikage Kira, whose stand, Bites the Dust, essentially kills whoever finds out his real identity while rewinding the clock. And whatever happened in that loop will repeat in every future loop, including the deaths of the people who dug too deep into finding out who he really was. This makes him a threat since if they get caught by his stand, they won't be able to SHIFT to an ideal history to avert it.
    • The SHIF Ters would cross paths with other gods with similar powers over time and space. These include all the good deities from the Blazblue universe note , Frisk, Floweynote , and Sansnote , and Rintaro Okabenote .
      • The group's opinion on Flowey is complicated. On one hand, he did abused his power to satisfy his boredom, but on the other hand, his lack of a SOUL keeps him from feeling any empathy at all. The SHIF Ters feel pity for him, and wonder if they can create create a timeline where Flowey can finally be restored as Asriel, or at least create where he never died in the first place.
      • Some of the good Blazblue deities are accepting of the SHIFTers, since they can experience multiple timelines as well. However, there are some who are not as accepting, including Jin Kisaragi, Hakumen, Carl Clover, Azrael, and Arakune.
      • Sans does get along well with them, though he still doesn't approve of some of the ways they use their powers, since it reminds him of how the power to SAVE can be misused.
      • Frisk, being an All-Loving Hero, befriends the SHIFTers quite easily. He especially gets along well with Carlos, Diana, and Sean, all of whom are the most kind of the SHIFTers.
      • Rinataro Okabe notes the differences between their methods of time travel, since SHIFTing mostly allows the user travel to alternate timelines, while he can affect his timeline. While he doesn't approve of Sigma and Akane's plans nor does he like how SHIFTing worksnote , he does agree to help them if they need it, especially when it comes to finding the religious fanatic.
    • The SHIFTers fear one being above all else, the Dahaka. The Dahaka works to end anyone who tries to change their fate, regardless of their methods or reasons. It will be a Fate Worse than Death for the SHIFTers if they're caught, since they can't SHIFT to get out. Akane and Sigma are the biggest targets of the Dahaka, since they were the masterminds behind their Nonary Games.
    • Some of the SHIFTers relationship with the law-enforcing deities are complicated, especially in Akane and Sigma's case. While they do have the best of intentions and their plans do eventually lead to a successful outcome, some law-abiding deities note their Deadly Games still could have potentially endangered and traumatized the participants. Akane even kidnapped the participants of the Second Nonary Game and indirectly, but intentionally killed 3 of them, Asshole Victim or not. Some are even willing to arrest Junpei for covering up her crimes. Phoenix Wright acknowledges these crimes, yet he isn't sure what to say. That said, there are some detectives who are willing to help Junpei, Akane, and Carlos with tracking down the religious fanatic Zero II told them about, even if they don't approve of some of their methods.
    • The most complicated relationship the SHIFTers all have with is (Insert Name Here). It's heavily implied that the latter has indirectly helped some of them during the Deadly Games they participated in. It's also heavily implied that in one timeline, they possessed Kyle's body to talk with the older Akane. Whether or not they had any influence over them is unknown, but they don't seem to want cause any trouble.

  • Exclusive to Junpei:
    • Ascended after surviving not only one, but three Nonary Games with only two casualties that weren't even his fault, and surviving dozens of nuclear blasts and a nuclear winter down on Earth, even adopting a son and surviving until becoming old. An extremely impressive feat for a mere mortal that the Trope Gods recognized.
    • Tries his best to talk to all the Heroes, but often finds himself talking to Makoto Naegi, as the two of them can relate on many things (getting trapped in a life or death scenario, being tricked into thinking someone (Snake, Enoshima) who was alive but hidden to be dead...).
    • Once found himself in the middle of a small battle between the GUAE and GUAG, but somehow made it out unscathed. Some say there may have been a morphogenetic field user within the battle besides him, but he refuses to comment.
      • Said morphogentic field user may or may not have been Snake, who recently ascended into the Pantheon. Junpei is glad to see him again.
    • Since the events of the Decision Game, Junpei finally manages to propose to Akane. Some are happy for him now that he finally did get the girl, some are opposed to this because of Akane's actions. Nevertheless, the ones that support this relationship also found it goofy when he placed the ring on the wrong hand.

  • Exclusive to Akane:
    • For a while, deities were not sure of what to make Akane and her motives. It turns out she is the first to bear the name of Zero, having kidnapped 9 people (including her Childhood Friend, Junpei) and forcing them to participate in a Deadly Game so Junpei can tap into the morphogentic field and save Akane's younger self from burning to death, as well as get to revenge on 4 of the participants she kidnapped, who happened to be those who masterminded the previous Nonary Game 9 years prior and forced 18 children to participate. Akane did exploit the multiple timelines to help her younger self (who was watching the Nonary Game through Junpei's eyes) learn the means to contact Junpei fully and set a Stable Time Loop, but she also made sure that innocent people were not harmed needlessly and those she did kill indirectly would be those not missed. She gives Junpei and everyone else some transport back to civilization once the purpose of the Nonary Game has been fulfilled. Regardless of her actions, Junpei still continued to search for her, though it seems to be all for naught when he encounters her in their old age in the distant future, where she had become The Unfettered in her pursuit to stop Free the Soul.
      • But the during the Decision Game, we finally see Akane's true nature in full circle. Akane, despite her methods, showed that her personality was not entirely faked. She still loved Junpei, and her optimism is real, even if she belived in using some pragmatic means to save everyone. She wasn't even the mastermind of the Decision Game, and was in fact trying to stop Zero II from unleashing Radical-6. Junpei's faith is rewarded when he finally proposes to her and they get engaged in the Omega Ending, though they agreed to put their wedding on hold until they can find and stop the religious fanatic from triggering a nuclear war.
    • Akane gets along with Rika, someone who gone through countless timeloops to put a stop to the crisis endangering her town. Akane admires Rika's determination and promises to help her put a stop to her Evil Counterpart, Berkanstel. Rika in turn admires Akane's intelligence and determination, though she does disapprove of some of the methods she used in her plans, necessary or not.
    • Akane can experience multiple timelines, Igor is capable of giving his clients another chance if they screw up. The two are on amicable terms, since they both want to help their allies reach the best possible outcome.
    • Akane tends to visit Rachel Alucard from time to time, even after she lost her position as a Bystander. The two talk over tea about their struggles throughout their respective world's timelines.

  • Exclusive to Carlos:
    • Carlos was a firefighter who saved his younger sister in a fire and originally volunteered at the Dcom to earn money for her operation. Unfortunately, he didn't realize until it was too late that he just became a participant of the Decision Game, and he's even forced make most of the decisions for the team consisting of himself, Akane, and Junpei. He still manages to pull through and help everyone reach the ideal timelinenote , and his sister manages to pull through and become a SHIFTer as well. Currently, he has agreed to help Junpei and Akane find the religious fanatic.
    • It's shown that Carlos gets along with Optimus Prime very well, since they are both seen as heroes of justice, not to mention how some incarnations of Optimus have a firetruck as an alternate mode. Optimus does praise Carlos' leadership skills during the Decision Game.
    • Carlos and Yu Narukami bond over being the big brother to their little sisters (little sister figure in Yu's case, but the meaning is the same). Both have also promised to help the other if their siblings are targeted in anyway.

  • Exclusive to Sigma:
    • Sigma was originally a college student before he got kidnapped and forced to participate in the AB Project. However, it turns out he was actually the younger self of Zero Sr., the game's mastermind, and his 22 year old mind was inhabiting his elderly self. The project was to train him and Phi to master their SHIFTing abilities so they can go back in time to prevent the Radical-6 outbreak that ruined the world. Upon being send to the point where Radical-6 was unleashed, Sigma would spend the next few years becoming Zero Sr., learning genetic engineering and AI programming, creating Kyle, Lagomorph, and Luna, before SHIFTing to the point where he and Phi would investigate the site where Radical-6 was unleashed. There, Sigma would fall in love with a woman named Diana, and in one timeline, would conceive with her the twin children who would grow up to become Phi (the very same girl who would help him in both the AB Project and the Decision Game and Delta (the Decision Game's mastermind), using the transporter to send perfect copies of them back in time so at least some versions of them would survive.
    • Out of all the Danganronpa deities, Sigma finds Hajime Hinata to be the most similar to him. They both participating in Deadly Games, where unbeknownst to them, they mastermindednote . They both also lost someone very dear to them, and that provided them the motivation for their goals (Sigma lost Diana and became motivated to stop the Radical-6 outbreak in another time for her sake. Izuru saw Chiaki die in front of him, and it awoke some of Hajime's feelings, causing him to seek revenge on Enoshima). Both would meet another who is based on their special someone (Luna for Sigma, AI Chiaki for Hajime). The biggest difference is that while Sigma would finally reunite with Diana in one timeline, Hajime only has Chiaki's spirit supporting him. Sigma genuinely sympatheizes with Hajime, and admits that he would have wanted to make Hajime a SHIFTer so he can finally find a timeline where he could prevent his mistakes and save Chiaki.
    • Sigma also sees alot of himself in Tomoya, who also lost the love of his life and daughter in one timeline, but got a another chance just like himself. Sigma even notes how they even received help from their daughters without knowing it.

  • Exclusive to Phi:
    • A young woman who would help Sigma throughout the AB Project, which was meant to train her and Sigma to master their SHIFTing powers. Once they make it back to the site of the Radical-6 outbreak, Phi and Sigma would work alongside a woman named Diana to survive the Decision Game. When Phi dies in one timeline, her infant self would be born as Sigma and Diana's daughter, and the infant would be copied and send to the past alongside her twin brother Delta. There through a series of events, the older Phi would use the transporter to send her copy to the future, setting the stage for the events of both the Decision Game and the AB Project.
    • Phi gets along especially well with other deities who suffer from A-Cup Angst, such as Noel, Koneko, and Aika. Phi finds herself amongst the League of Flat Chests, even if she denies having this.

  • Exclusive to Diana:
    • Diana was a young nurse who was kind to a fault, unable to resist her abusive husband whenever he begs, causing her to take part in Dcom to try and get away from him for good. When she is forced to take part in the Decision Game as leader D-Team (consisting of herself, Sigma, and Phi), Diana would fall in love with Sigma, and in one timeline, give birth to the twins who would grow up to become Phi and Delta. In another time though, she ended up causing Radical-6 because of her refusal to Mercy Kill Phi when she is infected by the virus and burn her remains. Diana would end up being the basis for Sigma's creation, Luna, a similarly kind-hearted GAULEM.
    • Diana would meet with the human Chiaki Nanami, finding her very similar to her. They both served as the Lost Lenore to their most important person, and their attempts to do the right thing ending up causing an apocaylpse. They also ended up as the basis for an artificially made copy of them (Diana for Luna, Chiaki for her AI copy). Diana and Chiaki get along splendidly and hope they can help the other.
    • Diana gets along well with Mikan, since they both suffered from mistreatment, though whereas Diana had tried to get away from her abusive husband, Mikan deliberlately lets herself be mistreated since negative attention is better than no attention at all. Diana hopes Mikan's friends can help her overcome this flaw just like how she managed to find other people to help her.

  • Exclusive to Sean:
    • Sean was a young boy who participated in the Decision Game, placed on Q-Team alongside Mira and Eric. Sean had no memories of his past and why he was wearing a helmet. (Insert Name Here) was led to believe their name was Q, unaware that the real Q was actually Delta (aka Zero II) while he was pretending to be a disabled and wheelchair-bound old man. Sean would learn he is actually a robot based on an ill boy he was named after, and he was created and given a personality apparently so Delta can at least fulfill the deceased boy's wish to have a happy life. The Quantum Computer Zero II used for the Decision Game also serves as Sean's "brain" in a sense, and it is even programmed with information of the other histories Delta of learned through his Mind Hacking, in a way making Sean a SHIFTer.
    • As a fellow robot, Sean quickly befriends the other good robot deities in the Pantheon, such as Aigis, Labrys, and ICEY, all three of whom act as Cool Big Sisters to him.

Bewear, The God Of Affectionate but Deadly Hugs (The Strong Arm Pokémon)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bewear_1.png
  • House: Physical Powers (House of Power)
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Symbol: It's face; A warning sign with its silhouette on it
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Gender: Female
  • Ability: Fluffy; Unnerve (Hidden Ability)
  • Moves: Brutal Swing, Hammer Arm, Return, Rock Tomb
    • Z-Move: Breakneck Blitz
  • Portfolio: Beary Friendly, Enjoys being affectionate but often ends up killing their targets, The most feared and dangerous Pokemon in Alola, Cute Bruiser, Normal/Fighting type Pokémon, Super-Strength, Does Not Know Her Own Strength
  • Domains: Bears, Strength, Deadly affection
  • Herald: Her Stufful cub
  • Allies: The Team Rocket Trio, N, Winnie the Pooh, Mimikyu
  • Enemies: Pheromosa (For exploiting Meowth and making him cry), Pokémon Hunter J, Ghetsis, Lysandre
  • Feared by: Pretty much anyone who sees her strength first-hand, Pinky and the Brain, The Warner Brothers and Sister
  • Complicated Relationships: Ash Ketchum and Pikachu, Misty, Brock, Serena
  • One day, in the Pantheon, a ear-piercing scream is heard. Everyone stood on edge as they launched an investigation, eventually coming across the Pokemon known as Bewear. All those from the World of Pokemon panicked on sight at seeing the Strong Arm Pokemon, while those not in the know thought Bewear was pretty cute... until Bewear showed off her strength. Immediately, they had to run away to escape from Bewear's strong and crushing grip. The Pokemon deities explained how Bewear is the most dangerous Pokemon in Alola because they don't know their own strength, causing them to accidentally kill anyone they try to hug.
    • The Team Rocket Trio can only express shock when they cross paths with Bewear, recognizing her as the same Pokemon who acted as their caretaker, before expressing joy at seeing her again. While Bewear did kidnap them in the first place, the Trio made the most of it and used her den as a base of operations, growing to care for her and her Stufful. They had parted ways eventually, but on the best of terms, with Bewear actually sending them to Kanto herself. Bewear is also happy to see her friends again in the Pantheon, though she will still get in the way if the trio tries to steal Pikachu again.
  • Out of all the gods who would be most likely to handle Bewear, Bear Hugger was chosen among them, since they both give affectionate but crushing hugs. The two get along splendidly. Bear Hugger and Bewear can be seen in the House of Friendship, hanging out, having matches, or giving the other a Bear Hug.
  • Ash and all of his friends are nervous around Bewear whenever they get too close, but at the same time, they do accept Bewear within the Pantheon. While they are all flabbergasted whenever Bewear does something unexpected, they're okay with having Bewear around if she keeps Team Rocket from causing any trouble.
  • Yakko, Wakko, Dot, Pinky, and the Brain all dislike and fear Bewear, who reminds them of Elymyra Fudd and her extreme affections towards animals, crushing them to death in her Bear Hugs.
