Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

5000 pages, huh? Here's to many, many more then.

Nergigante goes up later today. In the meantime, I got some Treasury stuff here.

Sugar Rush, Seat of Food-based Worlds

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ralphsugarrushrl.jpg
(Ralph overlooking the dominion from a candy-cane tree)
  • A region where the majority of the landscape and structures consists seemingly of confectionery.
  • Symbol: A Sugar Rush arcade console
  • Portfolio: Wacky Racing, literally Tastes Like Diabetes, unrealistic cutesy saturated visuals, a Sugar Bowl Expy of Mario Kart
  • Domains: Sweets, Food, Racing
  • Sister regions: Rainbow Road, Sweet Sweet Canyon
  • Governor: Currently under dispute.
    • Vanellope was the former governor until she left on her own accord.
  • Sacred to: Its inhabitants: the Sugar Rush racers and their fans, as well as the various individuals who maintain the facilities within
  • Unholy to: Ashley, Gertrude
  • Barred from entry: Pac-Man (formerly), Kirby, Kero - pretty much any god with a Big Eater or Sweet Tooth attitude; as well as King Candy.
  • Vanellope von Schweetz's game which ascended when she took her place as Goddess of Ascended Glitches.
  • As soon as one enters this domain coming from the rainbow bridge, their first sight is the vast sweet-based landscape that extends to as far as the eye can see. Most of the "foliage" is made out of candy, the "seas" are made out of taffy and/or chocolate milk and the like, and even the buildings feature elements seemingly made out of confectionery. Its landscape varies from the thickets of its candy cane forest to the snow-covered peaks in its mountains. The majority of its population (mostly humanoid anthropomorphic candies) is concentrated in a central town which this rainbow path seemingly leads into. Landmarks like the Castle and Diet Cola Mountain decorate the horizon. The Racecourse is very visible from the high point of the road of entry.
  • Sugar Rush is a place where the inhabitants race to determine the roster for playing every single day. Vanellope, who had been forcefully Dummied Out by Turbo Racer/King Candy wished to race but couldn't. Ralph found this place and, after an event that nearly caused Sugar Rush to be destroyed, helped Vanellope finish the race and restore Sugar Rush to its proper glory.
  • This domain can be substituted for certain Mario Kart courses following approval via unanimous vote by an ongoing race's participants.
    • Examples:
  • Some of the frequent visitors to this domain include Wreck-It Ralph, as well as Mario and other deities with a notable Mascot Racer game. Fix-It Felix and Sergeant Calhoun have been logging more frequent visits recently.
  • Due to the Cy-Bug incident, Vanellope has asked that many of the Big Eater gods (Pac-Man, Kirby, Kero, etc.) stay far, far away from Sugar Rush.
    • Following Vanellope's absence, the other racers have agreed to restart negotiations to all the Sweet Tooth Big Eater deities to rescind this ban. They agreed to immediately talk with Pac-Man as they noticed he had a a kart-racing game of his own, and was even featured in the arcade installments of Mario's own grand prix. So far, the racers do not mind him coming over to race, though they will keep a sharp eye on him. Talks with the others are to be resumed once the succession crisis is resolved.
  • Likewise, recorded usurpers are also prohibited entry since the same incident was directly related to King Candy. The Racers agree to never rescind this ban, even as a new ruler takes hold. Any individual identified as such will be unconditionally ejected.
  • Its residents have a huge watch on Ashley, since she, aside from being despising sweets, is outright willing to utilize her powers to damage, if not destroy, Sugar Rush.
  • Its traditional monarchy was abolished by Vanellope in favor of a democracy with her as the initial leader and the racers acting as a parliamentary body. Unfortunately, following her absence into a new game, a power vacuum has emerged. During this crisis, expect heightened security upon attempting to visit.
    • As a result, the racers are debating upon the best means to elect their governor. Some of the more skilled ones propose settling this dispute via a race tournament, but likewise, the underdogs would claim they would be left out.
    • The racers have also unanimously agreed to restrict nominations to Sugar Rush's endemic population.

Jhin, God of Unlucky Four Symbolism (The Virtuoso, Khada Jhin, Artisan Killer, the Golden Demon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jhin_originalloading.jpg
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: A lotus
  • Theme Song: Jhin Theme, Mind of the Virtuoso, Curtain Calls
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Mad Artist, Serial Killer wearing a white mask, AD Caster, Sanctioned by the Ionian Court, Lean and Mean, Cold Sniper, Fashionable Asymmetry, obsessed with four and death, Evil Ionian,
  • Domains: Death, Murder, Art, Four
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies.
  • Rivals: The Defenders of the Ancient, Sona Buevelle (one-sided on Jhin's part), Jinx, Draven, Needles Kane, Destroyman, Joker
  • Enemies: Zed, Raiden, The Man with No Name, Jesse Mc Cree
  • A psychotic serial murderer from the island nation of Ionia who believes his murder to be art. He was imprisoned after he was captured by the Kinkou Order until a cabal within the Ionian court released him when Noxus invaded Ionia. With his guns as his brush and the entire world as his canvas, he is prepared to make a terrifying piece.
  • He despises Kusho, the master of the Kinkou Order, for his arrest and wants to murder him himself. However, when he found that Zed already got ahead of him and denied his revenge, he wants Zed to be his next and greatest piece. Of course, this wasn't the first time they met, Zed wanted him to die but was denied by his master and Shen, which influenced his resentment and abandonment of the Kinkou Order entirely.
  • He horrified most of the House of Craft in his "artistic" vision. Jhin doesn't take the criticism well and has been considering making the entire House "burst" with elegance and beauty.
  • Considering how he sounds, Raiden would be wary of him considering how his psychotic personality reminds him of his "Jack the Ripper" persona, even if the latter is more violent than the Mad Artist.
  • He is very jealous of Sona for trying to "steal" his spotlight and attention away from his "art." With a lot more musicians in the Pantheon, whose to say that he resent those folks as well.
  • He dislikes other killers and criminals, especially Draven and Jinx, because of their lack of subtlety and artistic vision compared to his own. Especially when they are completely unsubtle about their murder spree like having massive explosions, having an unnecessary amounts of gun and rockets, and dressing horribly.
    • He found the Joker to be very unsophisticated and meaningless. He is rather insulted that the Joker commit murder as a joke rather than a "serious" motive like art.
  • He believes that everyone wears a mask of some sort... it's just that he believes that his is much believable than any other.
  • He is not one to remain static forever. He often switches gear to be more expressive of other means of murder like the High Noon, and macabre worshipper of Blood Moon demons, and a hacker turned cyborg killer. His fascination with cowboys and the West may have been a fever dream where he used to be a gun-for-hire.
  • In carnage, I bloom, like a flower in the dawn.

I just finished reading a Screen Shot Let's Play of Final Fantasy IX by Mega64, and I think that just like with my eventual rework of Golbez, Kuja deserves to go to the Ministry of Atonement as well, allegiance to Lord Chaos be damned.

It will probably involve Zidane saving him again just like in the post-Final Boss scene near the end.

Do you guys approve or not?

Additionally, I've been looking back at my current Cid rework, and I've been wondering. Is six Cids still too many Cids? Would it be best to just reduce the deities to Pollendina and Highwind instead, being Playable Characters and all?

Repost Mode

Both will return in 3 days. Cecil and co. for another "shakedown", Sho to enter the Pantheon. Unless more [tup]s (or [tdown]s) change that.

Sho Minazuki, God of Freakish Loners (The Rule-Smashing Pun Machine)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/p4a_sho_render.png
  • Potential House: Personalities
  • [tup]s: 2 (fasoman1996, Muundeis)
  • Ascending on: Dec 5 (repost on Dec 2)
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His eyes and scar glowing cyan
  • Theme Song: The Joker
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Combat Pragmatist, Ax-Crazy, Blood Knight, Empowered Badass Normal, Covered with Scars, Katanas, Fiery Redhead, Exotic Eye Designs, Psychotic Smirk, Full of Puns And Swear Words, Put the "Laughter" in "Slaughter", Sore Loser, Shotoclone, The Villain Makes the Plot, Freudian Excuse, Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds, Plannned to Hijack Hi-No-Kagutsuchi Using Adachi's Magatsu Izanagi, Unwitting Pawn to Whom He Was Trying To Hijack, Split-Personality Merge And Thus Gaining A Persona
  • Domains: Solitude, Puerility, Fighting
  • Allies: N, Solo
  • Rivals: Yu Narukami, Labrys, other BlazBlue deities (like Ragna)
  • Enemies: Nyarlathotep, Hajime Hinata, Yuno Gasai, Tohru Adachi, Ghetsis Harmonia, Sho Minamimoto
  • Barely neutral terms with: the Shadow Operatives (except Mitsuru Kirijo, whom he still opposes), the Investigation Team
  • Target of Interest By: Igor, The Grand United Alliance of Destruction
  • Conflicting Opinion: Goro Akechi
  • Ascended some time after the incident known as the P-1 Climax. Considering his original plan to leave himself as the sole inhabit of his world to be rid of everyone that annoyed him, many share animosity with Sho and keep their distance.
  • The only known way for him to be able to form bonds is through battle. Some have said he's not as hostile to those he's made these bonds and there is some degree of respect formed.
  • There was a second personality within Sho, which called himself Minazuki. He was the more calculating and likely more dangerous of the two personalities, given that he had a Persona. However, Sho hasn't been able to call him up since inheriting Minazuki's Persona as his own.
    • When his bond with Minazuki is brought up, expect a katana to be brought up to someone's neck and Sho laughing at them that he's happy to be alone beside himself.
  • Dislikes the idea of allying with some of the gods who claim to share his interests. Sho is smart enough to realize that most will decide to dispose of him once he isn't needed, just like Hi-No-Kagutsuchi. Only Lucifer's offer has held any weight for him. He's also long since abandoned his old ways that would've garnered the favor of the GUAD.
    • Likewise hates Nyarlathotep since he's a troll, manipulator and the face that Nyarlathotep is the embodiment of the worst of everyone he hates.
  • Bringing up that he's Not So Different from Labrys doesn't do well for his mood.
  • Likes mocking Hajime Hinata for where his desire to be special got him. Perhaps enjoys mocking Hajime a bit more than others because of how similar he sounds to Yu.
  • Was in possession of borrowed power which allowed him to mind-control others. It's since been lost, however.
    • Some have said that it hasn't made a difference given his joy of toying with his enemies rather than simply killing them. Sho has laughed this off.
  • Accusing him of not having the gall to kill will leave the accuser with a survival knife thrown at their feet. While it's meant to send one message, those who don't get or believe it are happily challenged to a fight to the death.
  • Not helped by the Morality Civil War, Sho's entrance into the Pantheon was met with much division. Of the opinions, the most notable are that some call him a Karma Houdini stating that his actions nearly caused his world to be destroyed and his unfortunate life is no excuse, while others state he hasn't crossed the line of taking a life and can be redeemed.
  • Unamused with his ascension in particular was Adachi, not wanting to put up with the schemes of a kid throwing a tantrum that might drag him into it. Sho isn't happy the reunion either and has threatened to kill Adachi if he screws with what he wants.
    • This in turn got him involved against Ryotaro Dojima when he attacked the ex-cop in his presence. As he got double-teamed by the two, it confused Sho as he's sure he would've remembered Yu's uncle being a Persona-user.
    • Upon hearing that the TV World is not only in the Pantheon, but other Persona-users have since been awakened because of it (and that Yu's little cousin is also a Persona-user), he's been hoping to challenge them. However, he's disappointed when he heard that only those who came from the Persona worlds can summon them in the Pantheon proper. That said, since some of those "clients" are already fighters in their own right, he's looking to test them before seeing if he can lure them (at a later date, but not all at once) to someplace where they can summon their Personas so he can see what they're capable of.
  • Sho has been voted into a competition to make the worst pun. He was eager to beat Chuggaaconroy and Ted Wiesen, but became disgruntled that his competitors also included Teddie.
  • Hates Ghetsis for reminding him of his own piece of crap father. Likely because of empathy and a desire to fight whatever N can throw at Sho, N might be one of the few people that Sho gets along with.
  • While Sho hates his own dad, he admits that he also wanted revenge for him as he was all that he had.
  • Sho's meeting with Sho Minamimoto quickly ended with them on hostile terms. Sho Minazuki has said that "I'll Sho-w him that his number is comin' up!"
  • Sho isn't sure what to think of Goro Akechi. Like him, he's had a real bastard of a father. Unlike him, Akechi didn't have the privilege of having a lot of money left behind to his name like Sho did, and Shuji was long dead by the time Sho awoke from his coma while Akechi had the chance to take his vengeance on Shido. That said, the fact that the second coming of the Detective Prince (Sho think Naoto's the better one) worked with Shido with plans to pull the rug beneath him in the last moment reminds him too much of the fact that Adachi planned to do the same to him.
    • As for the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, -what should he mock them for?-
  • Batman understands what it's like to be considered a freak due to being a loner. He's attempted to fix that by surrounding himself with numerous allies both in and out of Gotham, though he doesn't think the same can work with Sho.
  • Is interested with the fact that Harry Potter once initally pushed his friends away in order to protect them from Tom Riddle/Voldemort until he learned he needed their help to succeed.
  • Eventually met Solo, who holds a similar philosophy as Sho and they 'bonded' after a duel. That said, Solo doesn't know what to say about Sho since despite what he spouts, he does have a bond, even though it was with his Minazuki self, which has since vanished and became his Persona Tsukuyomi.

Cecil Harvey, Kain Highwind, Rydia, Rosa Joanna Farrell, and Edward "Edge" Geraldine, Heralds of the Active Time Battle System (Cecil: The Split Soul, the Knight, King Cecil of Baron, Kain: the Dragoon, Hooded Man, Rydia: Rydia of the Mist, Rosa: Queen Rosa of Baron)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/853121_final_fantasy_iv_wallpapers_by_ff9fan99_on_deviantart_1600x1200_h_6.jpg
Left to right: Kain, Rosa, Cecil (his Dark Knight form above his Paladin form), Rydia, and Edge
Cecil in The After Years
Kain in The After Years as a Holy Dragoon
Rydia in The After Years
Rosa in The After Years
Edge in The After Years
  • Applies to the group or two or more of its members:
    • Since their adventures during The After Years, they've learned how to perform Bands depending on their battle actions and who they perform it with. A lot of them tend to be Awesome, but Impractical, but there are a few that work well enough such as Effect Form
    • Surprisingly, the party have battled Gilgamesh before in a moon.
    • For some reason, the group (especially Kain, Rosa, and Cecil) see a lot of things familiar to them in Gohan. Son of a well-known world saver, half-human, half-outer space race blood, undergoes strict training from a mean "sumbitch", is separated from his parents and undergoes tutelage by his father's rival, unofficial protagonist for a sequel series while his father is out of commission, and has the ability to suddenly power up at least twice his own strength in times of crisis? That sounds a lot like Ceodore.
    • Due to having fought off an entity called The Creator, who wished to destroy their planet because mankind didn't evolve to its preference, they naturally oppose other such planetary threats.
  • Exclusive to Cecil:
    • He used to shed his Dark Knight form to become a Paladin, but gained the ability to switch between the two forms thanks to Cosmos. Prior to that, he's also learned to accept it after shutting it out for 17 years.
    • Had once held the position of Yin-Yang Bomb after inheriting it from Leon Magnus. Cecil kept believing that Leon himself is battling his own demons. Now that the seat his vacant again with his own transfer, Cecil has taken to searching for a suitable candidate.
    • Is a member of the Sacred Knights, and one of the only gods capable of controlling its leader, Artix von Krieger, from smiting every single undead god in the Pantheon (which is not an easy task, mind you).
    • Thinks Firion has a thing for Lightning, and briefly played matchmaker. Firon appreciates it, but he has yet to succeed despite Cecil's efforts.
      • He also initially took Onion Knight's vow to protect Terra as a sign he's fallen for her.
      • This is all likely because out of all the Final Fantasy protagonists, he's the only one who's actually gotten married.
    • Is very against any form of being puppeted in any way given that's what he suffered in the hands of the Meanad.
  • Exclusive to Kain:
    • Other Gods look at him funny, thinking that he may betray them anytime. He claims that he has good reason to do so, and he is correct on the most part. It's just that many are wary that Melkor will to be able to make his next Face–Heel Turn a permanent one.
    • As a Holy Dragoon, Kain has a small repertoire of White Magic (Cure, Hold, Cura, Esuna, Teleport, Blink, Haste), though it's nowhere near as Cecil's.
    • When he heard word of the TV World and what it holds, Kain decided he would visit the place, as he didn't want to take the chance of another Dark Kain running rampant like before. Despite Yu's and Teddie's [[labelnote:*]]the only ones available at the time protests, Cecil and Rosa decided to accompany them. Thankfully, none of their Shadows interrupted the trip.
      • Eventually, the party encountered Shadow Kain, who did just like any Shadow would do; try to torment his host and bystanding companions with his darkest secrets, namely his jealousy of Cecil and his lust for Rosa. While Rosa has heard of this during Kain's final showdown against his Dark self, Cecil hasn't and this was news to him. To the Investigation Team members' surprise (though mitigated by the fact that he's conquered it once before), Kain was able to accept it, although no Persona was bestowed due to already having done so; he just hadn't done it in front of Cecil.
    • Reportedly fell against an army of creatures known as Manikins. Upon hearing that even Cosmos was unable to revive him, the Court of the Gods began searching for someone to succeed him (back when he still represented Dragon Knight). Before they could begin accepting applicants, however, Kain crashed through the roof of the building, very much alive, apparently having leapt there from the battlefield. Turns out he just got so bored slaughtering the Manikins that he fell asleep.
    • Pantheon eventually learned from Kain the arts of a 'Dragon Slayer'.
    • Back when he still held the title of Dragon Knight, there was Davion, who had once attempted to claim it but failed. Unfortunately, Davion's abilities were deemed too plain to be considered for the role. But it was a denial that Davion is now glad of, now that he holds Simple, yet Awesome.
    • While he doesn't mind those who do hunt dragons, Kain is one who prefers to emulate the behavior of dragons instead of hunting them. He is intrigued with the bond Rynn has with Arokh and how the two learned to work together to save her brother. He asked her how it was like to share a bond with the dragon, to which she replied as something that was to difficult to describe. She figured it would be better if he observed how they interact with each other.
    • Kain shares his name with an ancient vampire, and neither person has been happy with doing so. The Dragon Knight believes that it only further alienates himself from his allies, while the vampire is tired of having to answer that no, he is not associated with the former. With that said, the two are not exactly enemies rather than they have different opinions on the concept of good and evil. One wants to embrace the former over the later and there other does not care about which side he chooses.
    • While he wasn't included in the initial roster, Kain had a hand in later (technically, ealier) Dissidia cycles. He is appreciative of the support he has gotten from his Final Fantasy brethren.
  • Exclusive to Rydia:
    • Rydia kinda likes Ninjas, but refuses to go out with them. The whole invisibility thing unnerves her when she goes to the bathroom. Instead, she claims to have "fallen for" the childlike innocence of Negi Springfield, who reminds her of herself when she was his age…almost as if it were yesterday.
    • Has no idea of what to think of the Demon Summoning Program used by folks such as Aleph, Flynn, and Kazuya. While far more versatile and accessible, it's also far more dangerous than her own brand of Summon Magic. That said, she's not wholly against forming a contract with some of the summoned demons herself. It's just a matter of finding the right ones.
    • Seymour had taken an interest in Rydia, and has plotted to take her life should she learn how to incorporate Magic Dances into her summoning rituals just like Yuna.
    • Currently, she has formed contracts with this Pantheon’s Bahamut, the wandering swordsman Gilgamesh, and the legendary Pokémon Xerneas.
      • While Naruto offered their aid, Kurama was explicitly against becoming a Summon (he prefers Naruto only, and who knows if the shinobi might need him if he's busy aiding Rydia if he does accept?), so no contract could be made.
  • Exclusive to Rosa:
    • Unlike most white mages, she's capable of actually fighting with bow and arrows. As such, she usually goes training in the House of Weapons, or even visits Merida in the House of Royalty to improve her archery skills.
    • Serena takes great inspiration from Rosa as her devotion to Cecil parallels Serena's own devotion to Ash. When Serena had told the Arch-White Mage her talenote , and asked if there was anything further she could do, Rosa smiled warmly and replied "Just be true to yourself; he should come around in his own time". She also warned Serena not to put up with any senselessness on Ash's part, while making sure that she didn't embrace anything senseless herself. She has offered to examine Serena for any magical aptitude.
  • Exclusive to Edge:
    • In addition to his Ninjutsu, he's also learned the art of swiping items from the enemy. This goes as far as stealing Dark Matter from Zeromus (the Big Bad behind Golbez). That's right; he can somehow get his hands on a theoretical concept that has yet to be directly observed in the universe. Edge is just that good.
    • -interactions with Bang Shishigami-
    • Seeing his interet in Rydia, despite his attitude, Princess Cadance and Kyu Sugardust (among others, as they're not the only ones) have both (separately, as the former doesn't like the latter) offered to help Edge in winning the summoner's heart (and in the alicorn's case, keep that love steady and help Rydia raise the last Maenad).
    • Has moral qualms with hitting (friendly) women. Hostile ones, though, are no issue at all.

Bob Dylan, God of Protest Songs

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ef2dcfb9_9eb1_44da_94d0_884f8bdaf5dd.jpeg
  • Intended House: Musical Genres
  • Theme Song: The Times They Are A-Changin’
  • Rank: Lesser God
  • Symbol: The album cover of his Theme
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Deadpan Snarker, Writes Protest Songs
  • Domains: Music, Protests
  • Allies: The Beatles
  • Enemies:
  • Dylan was allowed to ascend to the Pantheon after much consideration about him winning a Nobel Literature Prize. Some deities were confused by this, but others just relaxed.
  • Dylan has continued to write protest songs whenever there is an issue in the Pantheon that gains controversy. He frequently helps victims of bias in the Pantheon, as they remind him of the boxer Rubin Carter, whom he wrote a song about after his arrest for a crime he never committed.
    • One of the first things he commented on was the state of war in the Pantheon. Despite this, none of the gods in the war were determined to listen to him and stop it.

Some small progress on Pyro. I will add flavour texts about the deities mentioned later.

I wonder what's the worst punishment for someone who bullies children

"So guys, we did it, we have become a god in the trope pantheons"

Pyrocynical, God of Self-Deprecation (Niall, Pyro, Cancer, Cute Little Lesbian)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pyrotcheadicon.png
Pyro's Avatar
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pyro_7.jpg
Pyro's Real Face
  • Potential House: Theatric Convention
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His TV Head. Other times, a purple Top Hat.
  • Theme Song: Whitewoods - Beach Walk
  • Alignment: True Neutral. Tethers the line between Chaotic Good and Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Cringe Comedy, Self-Deprecation, Brutal Honesty, Deadpan Snarker, Always made fun of, Looks like a Lesbian in real life, Game End
  • Domains: Youtube, Videos, Cancer, Cringe, Furries, Bullying Children
  • Allies: Shrek, Freddy Fazbear, The Rock, Steve?, Spyro the Dragon, Howard and Kreese
  • Enemies: His Audience (Represented in the pantheon as The Mob)
  • Opposed by: The House of Children
  • Pyrocynical is a british Youtuber, widely considered to be cancer incarnate. One day, he was preparing to make another video about Fortnite when suddenly in the middle of one of his unfunny skits he tripped and fell from his bed into a random hole that opened in his bedroom-floor. He then fell down from a high altitude and dropped into a body of water and when he emerged he got greeted by an army of children reciting the "So guys, we did it." meme that has haunted Pyro for several years. Then he wound up in the Court of Gods, where they told the confused and perplexed youtube that it was actually a prank and that he was selected to be the new god of Self-Deprecation humor (something he does often). At first he didn't believe that some random fictional characters assigned him a weird job out of nowhere, but then he found out that the place he was in was very real and that he wasn't prepared for what he was about to witness.
  • He rose to fame by making MLG Montage Parodies then switched to video commentary, although he frequently targets children. He became infamous for the latter fact since even to this day he still bullies children and the local House of Children has Pyrocynical as the number one enemy (Somehow he is considered worse than Pennywise the Clown) and the resident deities are trained in numerous ways to bully Pyro in turn. When word got to them about Pyro's incoming ascension, they decided to arrange the "So guys, we did it" prank as a way to scare him off, but the children knew perfectly that Pyro would come back and bully them.

Saw that there a vacant spot for Wooden Ships and Iron Men, and thought it would be cool to include another Warhammer Fantasy Character, and that Luthor Harkon and the Vampire Coast we're perfect for that. Going to add a bit more to it.

  • Luthor Harkon, God of Naval Based Factions, (Grand Commodore, Mad Pirate King of the Vampire Coast, Luthor the Mad, Luthor the Coward, Lutr Harkoni, Blood Knight of Aborash, Mortarch of the Abyss)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/duldmnu.jpg
  • Theme Song: Tattered Sails
  • Symbol: The billowing Flag of the Vampire Coast
  • Alignment: Fluctuates frequently between Chaotic Neutral and Chaotic Evil depending on which personality is currently in charge. Formerly Lawful Evil.
  • Portifilo: Extremely unstable and prone to violent outbursts, Being a very polite pirate despite his blood thirstiness, Fond of bowing to his guests, Captain of the Dreaded Abyssal, A plundering Buccaneer off the Lustrian Coast The leader of a crew of Zombie Pirates, nautical horrors, and a Vampire himself, A member of the Blood Dragon Order, An Elder Vampire, Being over a thousand years old, Highly competent despite his crippling insanity, The most feared pirate in the entire Old World, Is one of Nagash's Mortarchs., Having a naval based faction in a game without naval battles.
  • Domains: Undeath, Oceans, Waves, Piracy, Insanity, Vampires, Giant Crabs
  • Allies: Davy Jones, Dracula, The Kraken.
  • Enemies: The Four Gods of Chaos, Lord Kroak Karl Franz, Thogrim Grudgebearer, Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades and Grant DaNasty (Especially Grant}, The House of Law in general.
  • Friendly Enemy: Jack Sparrow
  • Herald: His second mate, Captain Drekla.
  • His Liege Lord: Nagash the Undying
  • The pantheon found Luthor wandering the grounds out of nowhere, ranting feverishly about Lizard trinkets, most ignored him. Until he ran into the House of Crime, raised a Legion of undead pirates, stole a giant galleon, and sailed to the House of Gaming, to take his proper seat.
  • You see, his faction, the Vampire Coast is decidedly naval (the only one, infact in his game), and is themed around Vampire Pirates, leading Zombie Pirates, and other undead sea monsters, drawing there power from the sea, which their campaign is centered on.
  • The Vampire Coast iself, his temple, is a vast stretch of tropical islands, beeches, rocky landings, and thick jungles teeming with all kinds of horrors, a place perfect for a Necromancer of Luthor's power, for it gives him the perfect spot to raise all kinds of nightmares from the ocean...though lucky for the Old World, and the Pantheon, Luthor is often content with staying in his realm, and having a jolly good time with his crew!
  • Luthor himself...isn't quite there. After an incident at a Lizardman temple, Luthor has a bunch of different personalities in his brain, with the various ones vying for control over his body. As such, he can go from a pretty friendly person, to an Ax-Crazy lunatic in a single instant.
  • It goes without saying the Order aligned deities of the Warhammer world despise Luthor: there's pages upon pages of his misdeeds in the Book of Grudges, enough that Thogrim wants to smash his face in, and Karl Franz's opinion isn't that much better. Lord Kroak, however especially despises the Undead Pirate, for he's slaughtered countless Lizardmen cities, and whilst Luthor is casually entertained by the others disdain for them, he shares an equal hate for Kroak, because it's the Lizardmen's fault for his current insanity.
  • Despite being opposed on many issues, he actually gets along rather well with Captain Sparrow one of the few who likes his eccentrics (it helps Luthor is just as insane), getting boozed up, and swamping pirate stories with Jack frequently.
    • His relationship with Jack's arch rival, Davy Jones, is even more cordial, as Jones reminds Luthor of his friendly rival, a fellow Vampire Pirate, (in his mind) Captain Noctilus, and commands horrors from the depths just like him. While Captain Jones finds Luthor incredibly irritating (and reminds him alot of Jack) he isn't willing to scoff at such powerful help, and is impressed by the Vampire's command of the dark waters of Lustria.
  • He's made an ally of Dracula, wanting to stick together with his fellow Vampire Lords, pledging his fleet to his dark cause if the need arises, though he's somewhat uneasy around him, as Draucla reminds him a lot of a rival bloodline from the Old World, the Von Carsteins.
  • Was quite happy to see his Evil Overlord, Nagash, unalive and well in the Pantheon proper. Contrary to how he usually is, Nagash was ecstatic to see one of his Mortarch's finally ascend, instantly offering to make Luthor his Mortarch of the Abyss once more, which Luthor graciously accepted. Currently his building his horde of Zombie Pirates, and has nominally allied with the Grand Order of Destruction (at Nagash's ordering).

Danny Sexbang and Ninja Brian, Co-Gods of Sexuality-Charged Songs

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/phpgiorlvam_5092.jpg
Left: Brian, Right: Danny
  • "Feared" by: The House of Dragons (Danny)
  • Originally, Chef was the holder for Intercourse with You. That was, until Danny Sexbang came by and sung an entire song heard across the Pantheon (save for the House of Family) dedicated to how he went on an "Orgy for One". While some were understandably disgusted by it, it was generally agreed that he sounded great, so Danny got the trope and brought along Ninja Brian for the ride, while Chef moved to the House of Naming, not that he minded.
