Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

SIVA (Ironsbane)

SIVA overtaking terminals
  • Appearance: Red and black nanites
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil in the hands of the Devil Splicers, True Neutral by default.
  • Domains: Colonization, Red, Black, Nanotechnologynote
  • Portfolio: Grey Goo, Transhumanism, Applied Phlebotinum, Red and black but not really evil, Flesh-like corruption
  • In the time of the Golden Age of mankind lived a man named Clovis Bray I. Clovis was ambitious, he wanted mankind to expand into the stars and barring the unethical experiments with a disconcertingly high mortality rate, his intentions were genuine. The creation of SIVA was, in fact, directed towards the colonization effort with a myriad of applications but none of it was intended for military purposes. Whether or not it could of done its job well in colonizing is unclear as the Collapse destroyed much of humanity, leaving SIVA to be buried in the shadow of humanity.
    • It would be rediscovered by the Iron Lords thinking they could try and rebuild civilization but SIVA turned on them thanks to the intervention of the AI Warmind Rasputin after which is was buried yet again, but at the cost of all but one of the Iron Lords present. Following the events after the Taken Wars, the reformed House of Devils found SIVA and thus began their crusade to transcend everyone with SIVA's "gift".
    ~consume enhance replicate~
  • SIVA wasn't exactly brought to the Treasury. It was actually unleashed unto the House of Technology by the Devil Splicers, whose numbers had mysteriously spiked to dangerous proportions. While they were notified, the amount of SIVA turned out to have been hidden for quite some time, replicating underneath many deities noses and by the time people have noticed it had gained some serious traction. Robots and cyborgs that are sufficiently exposed to SIVA were corrupted into the machine zealot's service, as well as organics if enough of it overtakes them. Thankfully, the Splicers were driven out of the House before it could corrupt any of the other Houses and was placed under quarantine for quite some time, no deity coming in or out until it was made clear SIVA was gone.
    • Any and all SIVA recovered from the House was then immediately brought into Maximum Security and placed under lock and key within a room that's sealed off of any exits. The stuff lays dormant and on the off chance it did reactivate, it's armored enough that it would take some time to seem through not mentioning any of the other security provided from the SCP Foundation and GLaDOS. That said, all SIVA recovered only came from what was left over in the attack. It's not accounting for the ones the Splicers took as they left.
      • Orders were put out to hunt down the remaining Splicers, the Guardians and the Tenno spearheading such operations. Arthur Maxson also joined in, not exactly a surprise given
  • Obviously the GUAM got to benefit from SIVA's arrival to the Pantheon the most seeing as how the Eliksni are already with their cause. Of course, people starting pointing fingers at them for possibly instigating such an attack given how those affiliated with them managed to evacuate safely. Other deities seem to want to use the nanotechnology for their own benefits such as the Corpus, who want it to further enhance their technology and by extension further their armsdealing. The Enclave see SIVA as a great tool for rebuilding their new America in the Pantheon seeing how it was made for that purpose in mind.
    • Admittedly, individual members alliances have shown intersest in utilizing SIVA for similar reasons above. Given how much of a glorified arms race the Pantheonic conflict is, especially if it's with the GUAL and GUAC, it should come off as no surprise.
  • In spite of the damage it had done in the eponymous SIVA Crisis on Earth and in the Pantheon, there are those in the Pantheon who still believe //SIVA can be used for good. ~consume enhance replicate~. The Guardians, despite working to stop the Splicers, were once seen adorning themselves in ~SIVA armor and weaponry for a time before Ghaul came. Regardless, much of it remains safely ~replicating~ inside the Vault. So there is no need to worry about (SIVA) as of now. ~consume~ repeat~

All my fault, you say...? What fault? I daresay it's all thanks to me.

What should I add to the Dark Knights?

The Dark Knights, Divine Group of Shadow Archetypes (The Batman Who Laughs: Bruce Wayne of Earth -22, The Dawnbreaker: Bruce Wayne of Earth -32, The Devastator: Bruce Wayne of Earth -1, The Drowned: Bryce Wayne of Earth -11, The Merciless: Bruce Wayne of Earth -11, The Murder Machine: Bruce Wayne of Earth -44, The Red Death: Bruce Wayne and Barry Allen of Earth -52)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/5c040fdd0019d3cb0ffaf5586b134be5.jpg
Clockwise-The Merciless, The Devastator, The Dawnbreaker, The Murder Machine, The Red Death and The Drowned. The Batman Who Laughs is in the center.
  • House: Villainous Counterparts (House of Villains)
  • Ranks: Lesser God (The Batman Who Laughs), Intermediate Gods (The Dawnbreaker, The Murder Machine, The Red Death), Intermediate Goddess (The Drowned), Greater Gods (The Devastator, The Merciless)
  • Symbol: The Batman cowl shaped like a skull, and a Bat Symbol on the forehead
  • Alignment: Lawful Good (the Barry Allen trapped in the Red Death) Lawful Evil (The Murder Machine), Neutral Evil (The Drowned, The Red Death), Chaotic Evil (The Batman Who Laughs, The Dawnbreaker, the Devastator and the Merciless)
  • Portfolio: Alliance of Alternates, Evil Counterpart, Embodying The Fears And Darkness Of Batman, Most Were Once Heroic, Body Horror, Composite Character, From Worlds Doomed To Die, Dark and Troubled Past
  • Domains: Dark Matter, Alternate Universes, Dark Paths, Inner Fears, Evil (all of them), Chaos, Destruction, Cruelty (The Batman Who Laughs), Spite, Light and Darkness (The Dawnbreaker), Infection, Doom, Monstrosity (The Devastator), Flooding, Mad Science, Metahumans (The Drowned), War, Madness, Conquest (The Merciless), Cybernetics, Calculations, Introversion (The Murder Machine), Speed, Fusions, Loss (The Red Death)
  • Superior: Barbatos
  • Interests: Melkor, Griffith (all of them), Chernabog (The Dawnbreaker), Khorne (The Merciless), the House of Combined Forms (The Red Death)
  • Allies:
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: William Stryker (The Drowned)
  • Rivals: Lord Drakkon (except for The Dawnbreaker), Yuuki Terumi (The Batman Who Laughs), En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse (The Merciless), Mesogog (The Drowned)
  • Enemies: All heroic DC deities, especially Bruce Wayne/Batman, Cosmos and the Grand United Alliance of Good, Merged Zamasu, Funny Valentine
  • Opposes: The House of Light and Brightness (The Dawnbreaker)
  • Opposed by: The House of Regret (The Red Death), Selina Kyle/Catwoman (The Drowned), the House of Family (The Murder Machine)
  • Below The Multiverse rests the Dark Multiverse, a place where whatever can go wrong does. Unstable worlds never meant to exist. And when Barbatos emerged to conquer the light, he had seven versions of Bruce Wayne answer the call. Each represents the Batman's fears and doubts of him, the dark paths he could have taken, the evil in his heart. And they want the optimistic universes for themselves.
  • Applies to the Dark Knights
    • With the exception of The Batman Who Laughs, the Dark Knights were confirmed or assumed to be dead. Unfortunately with the Dark Multiverse and Barbatos' ascension, he was able to restore his Dark Knights, who now seek the pantheon to achieve their dreams and desires. As twisted versions of Batman and some of DC's greatest heroes, the GUAG considers them not just a physical threat but an ideological threat as well. However because they are all counterparts of one person, they all find a Kryptonite Factor not just with Nth Metal and the even stronger 10th Metal/Element X(due to their dark matter physiology), but Funny Valentine's Stand.
    • Already partnered with Barbatos over their love of debasing and corrupting others, Melkor was happy to see the Dark Knights ascend as a twisted mockery of the forces of good. And he's hoping to find twisted versions of his main enemies in the now expanded Dark Multiverse. That said, the Dark Knights don't see anything beyond a possible meal ticket with the Dark Lord of Arda. Griffith seemed more invested as like him they're former heroes turned into villains, usually over falling to despair. He finds it nostalgic.
    • Their own sub-house was interested in the various different darker paths that the Dark Knights took. Darquesse and Jeanne d'Arc Alter like comparing notes as they are literal evil versions of a heroic character. However most think they're nuts or don't fit with their own ideals. Exceptions include the Psycho Rangers(an evil team of counterparts, but only the Batman Who Laughs and the Dawnbreaker are evil enough to get along with them).
    • Zamasu was quick to use the Dark Knights as an argument for why Humans Are Bastards, despite Barbatos humiliating him upon his visit to the Dark Multiverse. As several terrible villains embody the potential for evil that Batman has, it truly shows how evil mortals are innately, no matter how they try to hide it. Zamasu himself once being a well-intentioned god who became darker than any mortal, and Infinite Zamasu being a nightmare of a new reality worse than the Dark Multiverse alludes him, and most don't even bother pointing it out due to seeing Zamasu as a lost cause.
    • Lord Drakkon considers the Dark Knights rivals to his plans of conquest, mainly because of how they are versions of a hero twisted to villainy due to personal tragedy and suffering, representing the worst of what they could become. Well, except for The Dawnbreaker. He shares a resentment for the world as a whole, due to Drakkon's jealousy of his heroic counterparts.
    • The Imperium of Mankind regards The Devastator as an abominable mutant and perversion of the human form, and The Drowned as much of the same but sea-based. Ironic, given in their own twisted way they think they're helping humanity; by making them nigh-invincible Doomsday monsters and protecting them under the water against metahumans.
    • The Murder Machine, given how swiftly he dealt with the criminals in his world and anybody trying to stop him, also finds himself agreeing with Light Yagami's views on justice. Copy X and Jeanne d'arc Alter, fellow villainous counterparts, also seem to respect the Murder Machine due to his efficiency in terms of being a Knight Templar. The Red Death is appealing to Copy X and Jeanne as well since he wants to make the world better at any cost, and his Super-Speed makes him very effective. The other Dark Knights are a bit too much for them, however.
    • Before you ask, the Grim Knight was considered for entry. However he wasn't part of the original seven as Barbatos didn't see him as evil enough, so that's why he didn't ascend to the pantheon. The Punisher is disappointed with this, given the Grim Knight took a lot of notes from him.
  • Applies to The Batman Who Laughs
    • On Earth -22, the Joker caused havoc across Gotham, making Batman watch as he re-enacted his parents' death and Jokerizing the orphans. When Batman did what everyone wanted and snapped his neck, it released a neurotoxin that changed his morality to that of the Joker. He ended up killing everyone and joined Barbatos to do it again, embodying the Batman's fear of becoming as bad as him and his inability to end their never-ending feud by just killing the Joker. Amazingly, the Joker considers him to be worse than him, and Harley Quinn was both infuriated that he killed the Joker of his world, and finds him too scary for her. Kefka was more OK with The Batman Who Laughs, as he's an insane Joker-like villain who's madness made him an Omnicidal Maniac.
    • While The Dark Knights are similar to the Dark Judges, in looks and personality The Batman Who Laughs is most like Judge Death. And like him he mowed down much of his family, then turned Damian Wayne into a twisted Joker/Robin hybrid. The Heroic Protectors of Family hate him for it. He relates to the Plutonian and Dark Danny since they gave up on being heroes, becoming homicidal maniacs instead. Danny Fenton was very disturbed by this, and yet another twisted version of a hero.
    • He has inherited the Joker's desire to bring out the worst of everyone, and generally breaking people For the Evulz. Yuuki Terumi, like the Joker, considers him "The Batman Who Talks" and second in inflicting despair to him, though it's almost entirely Terumi's monumental ego. Junko Enoshima is more willing to play ball, seeing him as a kindred spirit who has very much enjoyed the despair the Joker inflicted, and wishes to improve it. The Batman Who Laughs thinks she's got spunk.
  • Applies to The Dawnbreaker
    • On Earth -32, Bruce Wayne got a Green Lantern ring on the moment of his parents' murder. Not because he could overcome fear, but a void in his heart where fear should be. Which he proceeded to use to kill criminals, and really anyone who made him mad. And he corrupted the ring into something monstrous. He's pretty detestable and first started harassing the House of Happiness for daring to be more fortunate than him. He's a Batman who never grew up and was consumed by his parents' death, the embodiment of Batman's fear he can't grow past it.
    • The Dawnbreaker's unique ability as a Green Lantern is "Blackout", where he sucks the light out of the area, including Green Lanterns. Then he sics his monstrous constructs, fueled by his vile thoughts. He hangs out in the House of Darkness and Shadow, because "it matches the dark void in my heart". Chernabog believes that the Blackout ability and its darkness is useful. As the edgelord that he is, the Dawnbreaker dislikes the House of Light and Brightness.
    • Claims that the darkness in his heart can cut through any light, but a dark empath like Raven hijacked his creations. The Phantom Thieves of Heart find him the easiest target to go after because his own twisted sense of spite and inability to grow up makes his ego very fragile. The Dawnbreaker seems to relate to Eric Cartman's pettiness and desire for revenge, and Infinite's egotistical "edgelord" persona.
  • Applies to The Devastator
    • On Earth -1, Superman went rogue and Batman tried to stop him. Bleeding out from the loss of an arm, he found no choice but to infect himself with the Doomsday Virus. He became a monster bent on spreading the Doomsday Virus so everyone would be safe from the likes of Superman, representing Batman's inability to trust the Man of Steel and the fear of what he might become as a Cape Buster. The hulking behemoth is interested in Nurgle's strengthening plagues as a means of "protecting" mankind as a Nurgle/Doomsday hybrid, becoming unkillable monsters like himself.
    • As far as the Devastator is concerned, Superman is evil, or at least a time bomb ready to go off. The existence of not just his Regime incarnation, but the Plutonian is proof and he wants to give more people the Doomsday Virus so they can better handle them. The Plutonian especially since he's the worst "Superman" gone rogue, and would even contemplate an Enemy Mine situation with the main Superman to stop the Plutonian. He also doesn't like the original Doomsday, stating that "he's a mindless beast of destruction, I'm a mindful beast of salvation through destruction".
  • Applies to The Drowned
    • On the genderswapped Earth -11, Bryce Wayne lost her love Sylvester Kyle in a metahuman brawl. Since then she's distrusted metahumans, and she messed up any peace conference the Atlanteans could've had. Modifying herself, she overthrew Atlantis and changed mankind to be ruled over in a flooded world. She represent's Batman's fear of losing Catwoman, and his distrust of metahumans. She's on the hit list of King Triton and Ariel for what she did to her world. Prince Zuko doesn't like her either, because of how much of a villain she became and how antithetical his firebending is to her water-based powers.
    • A Mad Scientist who altered her own physiology to better combat the Atlanteans, she regards Mesogog as a rival because they both have their own competing belief on how life should be shaped for what is, in their eyes, a better world. William Stryker, given his own hatred of mutants, saw it as a potential opportunity to continue his "crusade" by playing her hate of metahumans in general(of which mutants are a notable sub-set), but doesn't exactly trust her. The House of Water and Moisture walks on eggshells around her.
  • Applies to The Merciless
    • On Earth -12, Ares created a helmet that enhanced his power a hundredfold. Batman and Wonder Woman were lovers, and it appeared Ares killed her when Batman took the helmet for himself. In reality he knocked her out, and Batman killed Wonder Woman when set into a rage by the helmet and she tried to take it off. He became the new War God, representing Batman's fear of breaking his code and letting revenge take control. Khorne was impressed by what he'd accomplish with it, and wants to enhance that rage. En Sabah Nur considers him a Worthy Opponent. He'd rather not talk about it.
    • The Merciless found he had things in common with Kratos-both of them became war gods after usurping Ares for basically ruining their lives, though the Merciless only assumed he accomplished it. Whiles Kratos is understanding, he's been trying to be a better person and opposes the Merciless out of contempt for the man he once was. Guts considers him a warning of what the Berserker Armour and his own rage could turn him into.
  • Applies to The Murder Machine
    • On Earth -44, Bane managed to kill Alfred Pennyworth. In his grief, he designed the Alfred Protocol to replace him. However the Protocol started becoming hostile to anyone besides Bruce, eventually leading to Bruce's assimilation into a soulless cyborg who only cares about Alfred. He represents the extremes of Batman's introversion and fear of losing Alfred, along with his reliance on technology. The House of Family considers the Alfred Protocol as much a perversion of the idea of family as they find it a tragedy how the Murder Machine lost his humanity over the grief from losing his father figure.
    • Having purged himself of humanity except for his feelings towards Alfred, the Murder Machine finds himself agreeing with a number of the tenants of YHVH. He still wants to deal with criminals after getting a stable world from Barbatos, and without a real soul anymore The Evils of Free Will seems appealing. He also agrees with the Cybermen for how they create an orderly society at the expense of emotions and individuality.
  • Applies to The Red Death
    • On Earth -52, Batman was driven over the edge with the loss of too many of his Robins. As the unstable universe was beginning to fall apart, he hijacked Barry Allen in order to use the Speed Force to go back and undo all the misery. The result was the Red Death, a hybrid of the two with Barry powerless. The Red Death represents Batman's fear of losing his family and not being fast enough to save everyone. The House of Regret may understand why, but they do not condone the extremism of his actions.
    • The Red Death seeks the House of Time and Space so he can undo the tragedy of his past. Because of how he's become unstable, the Pantheonic Time Police isn't letting him go back and risk total chaos. Nox approved of his actions however, since he went to some extreme ends to try and save his own family even if it was All for Nothing.
    • The Barry Allen trapped in the Red Death managed to assert control, taking on a gold appearance. However the others never trusted the Red Death as he was only half Batman, so disposed of him as part of a Hope Spot. Unfortunately for Barry his resurrection in the Trope Pantheon had Melkor figure out how to revert him to Bruce in charge, and hopes to completely eradicate that Barry's consciousness so there is no division.

Reposting Miku.

Miku Izayoi, Goddess of Sexuality Exceptions (Diva, Tsukino Yoimachi)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miku_1_jpeg_5502.jpg
  • Ascending on: ???
  • Potential/New House: Romantic Orientation
  • [tup]s
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Theme Song: "My Treasure"
  • Alignment: Neutral Good, formerly Neutral Evil
  • Symbol: Herself standing in front of Gabriel
  • Portfolio: Fighting with Music, Magic Music, The Only Male She Loves is Shido, Idol Singer, Having her Career Ruined But Later Climbing Back to the Top, Lovable Sex Maniac, Very Powerful Voice That Can Control Minds, Teasing Others, Gag Boobs
  • Allies:
  • Friendly Rival: Miia
  • Enemies: Sir Isaac Ray Peram Westcott, the Dazzlings, I-No, the House of Tainted Love, anyone who uses music for evil
  • Opposes: Black Bolt, Sheogorath
  • Pities: Natsuru Senou, Heinz Windermere
  • Miku was one of the best Idol Singers until her career was almost destroyed when she refused to sleep with a sleazy TV producer. Upon becoming a Spirit, she sought to regain her lost fame and developed for mankind, and the male gender in particular. Luckily, Shido Itsuka managed to reawakened the better woman within her and Miku allowed Shido to seal her powers, wanting to reestablish her career by her own merits.
  • Although Miku shed her hatred towards men, she only feels sexual attraction towards women, with the only male she feels even remotely attracted to being Shido himself. For that, the Court of the Gods allowed her ascension. Once she was accepted into the Pantheon, Miku began flirting with almost every woman she could find, including the Spirits already present in the Pantheon. She proudly proclaiming that Shido, her Darling, is the only man she could ever love.
    • Because of her bad experience with that producer, she really hates sexual abusers and anyone who distorts the idea of love, which is why she stays away from the House of Tainted Love as much as possible.
  • While Shido and the Spirits were happy to see Miku in the Pantheon, they admitted that Miku's sexual lust could be too much even for them. Shido felt nervous that he would have to cross-dress again if he ever dated Miku again, but luckily, no such thing happen. Tohka also feels she needs to put some distance from Miku, lest the Diva will attempt to touch her breasts again.
  • Met up with Celestia Ralgris after hearing rumors about her supposed hatred of men. Celestia had to clarify that she didn't hate men, that was just a rumor she didn't bother to address to hide both her insecurities around the male gender and her guilt for causing Lux Arcadia's exile. Once the mistake got cleared up, Miku and Celestia parted on good terms, with Miku complimenting the Drag-Knight on her soft face and her large chest.
  • Bringing her singing talents to the Pantheon was an obvious course of action for Miku. Ever since she set up her temple, she has hosted hundreds of concerts, often singing alongside legends like Fuuka Akitsuki and Sheryl Nome. She was particularly impressed that the latter used her singing to end an intergalactic war. Once in a while, she helps Black Canary fight crime, impressing the veteran superheroine.
  • Having moved past her misanthropy, Miku assists Cyclops in his efforts to protect mutantkind. She is aware of his more extremist actions, but considering what she has done, Miku feels she has no right to judge. Cyclops initially felt a bit nervous around Miku, as her magical voice brought bad memories of Black Bolt, he eventually came to see her as a friend and a surrogate daughter.
  • Speaking of Black Bolt, she doesn't hold him in high regard, especially after hearing of his confrontation with the X-Men. She had hoped the mutant-Inhuman hostilities would end with both sides reaching a mutual agreement, but she was horrified upon learning that the Inhumans were fiercely protective over the Terrigen mists, even after it was revealed the mists were killing mutants. She sees the X-Men's recent cultural renaissance and the Inhumans' depopulation crisis as a fitting rebalancing of the scales.
  • Competes with Miia of the Monster Girls over who has the better darling. Shido and Kimihito Kurusu just play along.
  • Takes pity on Natsuru Senou for his/her love problems. While she is totally crazy over his female form, like any other girl at school, she later found out about what Kaede Sakura had done to him. Feeling her own actions were not better than those performed by Kaede, Miku has done her best to ensure no one suffers what Natsuru suffered.
    • Heinz Windermere is another deity that has earned Miku's pity. Although she was naturally displeased when she heard about the Song of the Wind's effects, Miku has the opinion that Heinz was manipulated into that position by his chancellor, and if circumstances were different, Heinz could have used his song for more benevolent purposes. Since she herself has misused her music, Miku does her best to give Heinz the benefit of the doubt and hopes he can find peace one day.
  • She really hates the the Dazzlings for reminding of the days she used her music to enslave people. She was further horrified to learn that the Dazzlings don't really need to brainwash their victims, they only do so for their own amusement. The Dazzlings invaded Miku's temple, hoping they could corrupt her back into her villainous ways, but even they were no match for the power of Gabriel and they were forced to retreat.
  • Occassionally helps the doctors at the House of Health and Diseases in helping and curing patients, as Gabriel has proven to possess the power of healing.
  • Befriended the Bard over their shared passion for music. She is also impressed by his dedication to pacifism, a luxury she cannot afford due to Isaac Westcott's ambitions. On the other hand, she feels nothing but contempt towards I-No, considering her as the kind of person she could have become had her Darling not saved her. She holds no fondness for Sheogorath, either. Although she can appreciate his dedication to the arts, Sheogorath is a Mad God with no understanding towards basic human decency. For his part, Sheogorath has nothing but good things to say about Miku, praising her for her wonderful singing voice and has refrained from bringing harm upon her.

As always, suggestions are welcome.

Clovis: [tup]. You know, they can totally stay in Villainous Counterparts with the God/dess's highest rank as their position, and since two of them are Greater Gods, they should be in the Greater Deities position

@Clovis: [tup]

@Bazzard: Sorry, I'm totally broke. I could ask Scrooge McDuck for cash, but he's a Scrooge.

@louisent: Not too sure about that. Does The Darker Road Not Taken sound like a Villainous Counterparts trope? No offense, but my 'jurisprudence' for ascensions dictate the trope title dictate the house they go to and not the actual basis the character are on.

[up] I know. I just worded it wrong.

Erratum: I read the trope page again and errr.. yeah they do fit Villainous Counterparts. Carry on.

@Clovis:Since the support for them in Villainous Counterparts in near unanimous, might I suggest relations with denizens of that sub-house, especially the DC-based ones, Sinestro and Plutonian. How you handle these is up to you.

Well, here is an update on Aluneth.

I'm considering writing something the Staff and Kiritsugu Emiya. Mostly because both are voiced by the same dude and the latter notoriously hates mages and magic

"Come, child. Let us wreak havoc."
Aluneth, Divine Talking Weapon (The Greatstaff of the Magna)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aluneth.jpg
  • Potential House: Voices and Living Weapons
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: Itself
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral with Chaotic Good intentions
  • Portfolio: Awesome, but Impractical, The Cynic, Deadpan Snarker, Energy Being, At the side of good even if he doesn't show it, Time Abyss
  • Domains: Magic, Power, Arcane, Time, Control, Sentience, Talking
  • "Allies": Khadgar, Medivh, Kalecgos, Harth Stonebrew, Red and the Transistor
  • Rivals: Excalibur
  • Enemies: Sargeras, The Old Gods, Deathwing, Malygos
  • Opposes: King Togwaggle
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: The SCP Foundation
  • Aluneth, Greatstaff of the Magna, is a powerful Magic Staff once wielded by Aegwynn the Guardian of Tirisfal. Withing the staff you can find bound an arcane elemental that was said to be incredibly powerful and was sealed by Aegwynn to gain its power. The essence of Aluneth still lingers and whispers from him can be heard by the wielder, encouraging to destroy and unleash their power. These tales eventually brought Aluneth to the pantheon, given that bonding with it will subject the mage to a constant string of whispers from Aluneth, it was suggested by a few ascended members of the Kirin Tor to have it around the pantheon to study its effects outside Azeroth.
  • Many confuse Aluneth for a misplaced treasure, as he would feel more at home in the Treasure Vault. The reason he was given a separate place (Besides regulations forbidding any sapient entity to reside in the Vault anyway) is to see if it was possibly to unbind him from the staff. While the process was almost successful, it was deemed that keeping him trapped was for the better. He instead is used as a training tool for mages and wizards interesting in learning unstable magic and powerful but unreliable spellcasting, hoping to find a suitable deity that can handle the destructive power of Aluneth.
  • Considering his anomalous properties, Aluneth is frequently visited by the SCP Foundation. Given the lack of magical personnel, the Staff rarely if ever treats them with any respect and constantly berates who ever is near its proximity. There have also been a few incidents where Aluneth decided to implode on purpose to hurt the SCP members, usually being an unlucky D-Class caught in the aftermath. The Foundation almost labelled him a Keter and gave Aluneth a designation until Khadgar came around and retrieved it to teach the SCP Foundation how to properly use it, with the results almosts making reconsider making Aluneth a Thaumiel, even if he is very unlikely to cooperate outside the assigned user.
  • "I am infinite."

  • Intermediate Gods Greater God and Goddess once Rex unlocks the Pneuma Form of the Aegis.
  • Symbol: Rex's Core Crystal or the Aegis blade.
  • Theme Music: Battle Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
  • Alignment: Rex and Pyra: Lawful Good
    • Mythra: Chaotic Good in the prequel and during the main game.
  • Domains: Swords, Kindness, Leadership, Clones.
  • Portfolio:
  • Allies: Lora, Shulk, Dunban, KOS-MOS, Noel Vermillion, Natsu Dragneel, Link, Princess Zelda.
  • Enemies: Zanza the malevolent half, Metal Face, Yukki Terumi, Ganondorf, Galeem and Dharkon.
  • Pities: Atalanta.
  • Related to everyone.
    • Rex was once a simple salvager who lived with "Gramps" in the world of Alrest. Taking on a new mission to salvage something very special, his world changed once he came across the girl sleeping who was named Pyra. She wanted him to make a connection that would make them essentially partners that involved him touching her chest...or rather her Core Crystal to awakening this power. After being revived, both of them formed a bond as Driver and Blade to overcome the obstacles standing in the way of taking Pyra back to Elysium.
    • Despite being made from the same blade Pyra and Mythra are two distinct personalities who eventually gain their own bodies after the defeat of Malos. The reason this happened was back in the past after Mythra survived the fall of Torna along with the death of Hugo. She couldn't bear such pain not to mention getting the chance to have the kindness and humanity she didn't show towards others back then.
  • Exclusive to Rex
    • Rex was not a complicated fellow, his only life before meeting Pyra was living on Gramps, collecting anything worth salvaging, and practicing his sword skills ready to engage a bigger world someday. He also doesn't like it when people consider him to some little kid when he knows he's a lot more mature than people think. When asked how close he was to Pyra and Mythra, his face grew red before admitting that if there was any girl he loved the most it would be her.
    • Despite never getting to chance to meet one another Rex and Pyra became friends with Lora, her tale was something Mythra knew considering she was there in Torna many years ago. Lora was thrilled to see her again wanting to learn more from the woman who saved her life and provided the inspiration for her journey while Rex was glad to meet someone kinda like himself.
    • Rex has the ability to summon other Blades into battle alongside Pyra and Mythra such as Shulk himself, so when the robotic girl named KOS-MOS saw the duo greet her like they met before she was confused at first when she mentioned that she wasn't the same KOS-MOS they found alongside in their world. Regardless, she was quick to befriend Pyra and Mythra in order to have a better grasp on emotions that blades like themselves use in casual conversation.
    • Natsu grew to love hanging around Rex, since they both were huge believers in friendship and comradery with mostly everyone. Pyra merely laughed at Rex and Natsu trying to one-up each other in a friendly game of salvaging in the Pantheon.
    • Link and Zelda admired the courage Rex displays along with his skills with a sword. After seeing him in the Champion's outfit, the two got along like they were brothers while Zelda loved how beautiful Pyra's fire was to see.
    • Feeling awful about what the Red Archer servant has been through before her ascension, the catgirl brought to Rex's attention reminded him a lot of Nia. She had somewhat of a similar attitude with how some of her replies could be dripping with sass much like his friend who also was part-human and part-feline.
  • Exclusive to Pyra
    • Pyra/Mythra being the Aegis are vital components of the Architect's work who is in fact the benevolent half of Zanza. After giving life to the world of Alrest, the Titans, the Aegis along with Malos, and other forms of life were meant to serve as his atonement for the crimes he's committed in his old world. Rex and Pyra had learned the intentions of Klaus even feeling sad that he was now gone, but Zansa still refused to budge on his viewpoint about the world and humans making it clear he was still their enemy.
    • Pyra keeps to her namesake by mainly utilizing fire instead of light giving her an edge when it comes to cooking in a kitchen, but it also provides a warm fire at night along with heat in cold places that Rex along with his other companions appreciated during their journey.
    • Shulk wasn't sure how Rex or Pyra would feel upon meeting him considering he was Zanza for a brief period of time however, the both of them didn't see him as some almighty deity or wielder of the Monado but merely as a fellow warrior of the people, and Pyra wanted to cook a nice dinner for everyone.
    • After talking with Dunban, a fellow and personal friend of Shulk her mind couldn't help but think back to Mòrag who was once an enemy who eventually joined their cause of reaching Elysium. Dunban hoped to meet the driver of the Mor Ardain empire one day for a friendly duel between warriors.
  • Exclusive to Mythra

Other abominations that Gilles could summon?

Gilles de Rais & Uryuu Ryuunosuke, Gods of Shared Nonsensical Logic (Gilles: Caster, Bluebeard, Holy Monster, Demon Marshall, Saber)

(Saber) Gilles as he struggled to control his Madness
  • Rank: Intermediate God (Gilles), Quasideity (Uryuu)
  • Symbol: Gilles' Noble Phantasm - Prelati's Spellbook: Textbook of the Sunken Spiral Castle, Uryuu's Command Seal
  • Theme Song: Song that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on YouTube.
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil (Formerly Lawful Good — Gilles)
  • Portfolio: Evil Duo, Shared Enjoyment of Murder, Unlit Lairs, Serial Child Murderers, Ax-Crazy, The Sociopath
  • Domains: Murderer, Insanity
  • Allies: Cthulhu, Sheogorath, Molag Bal, Hansel & Gretel, Freddy Krueger, Springtrap, Pennywise
  • Rivals:
  • Enemies: Artoria Pendragon, Kiritsugu Emiya & Irisviel von Einzbern, Alexander the Great, Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, Gilgamesh, Rin Tohsaka, Yu Narukami, Atalanta, Highwayman, Moe Howards
  • Opposed by: Tohru Adachi
  • Special Relationship: Jeanne d'Arc and Jeanne Alter
  • These two have a lot in common. They love murdering people, especially young children. This is good, because their logic behind their motives for murder can only be comprehended by one another since Gilles de Rais has the skill, Mental Pollution, which makes him resistant to mental manipulation but also makes it impossible for him to comprehend others that doesn't share his distorted mentality. Both of them got along pretty well thanks to their twisted minds.
    • Gilles was a French nobleman who served during the Hundred Year Wars. It was that war where he met the Holy Maiden, Jeanne d'Arc, and have loyally served her in the campaign. When she was burned in the stake, he despaired and became a serial murderer and a blasphemer until the nobility had him executed for his land.
    • Uryuu Ryuunosuke was a serial killer that resided in Fuyuki City. What seems like a normal man who does small jobs, he is a murderer that enjoys the thrill of death and cruelty. When he discovered a book that allowed summoning servants, he was inadvertently drawn into the Fourth Holy Grail War and participated as the Master of Caster.
  • None of the participants of the Fourth Holy Grail War were pleased with these two psychopaths who took advantage of the chaos by murdering young children and enjoying the thrill of the suffering of others. Artoria is the most disgusted, as not only are they both murderers of young children, but also Gilles believed that she's "Jeanne" and that he is willing to murder so that she could "remember."
    • They are not happy to find that Iskander and his master were the one to destroy their lair and "ruining their art."
    • Gilgamesh is clearly disgusted by their presence and considers them an eyesore. But the biggest offense they made is getting his swords dirty when he made his presence clear in the Fuyuki Bridge where Gilles summoned his abomination.
    • When they were on a spree of kidnapping and murdering children in the streets of Fuyuki, Uryuu possessed a bracelet created by Gilles to brainwash the young kids to lure them in a trance. But one night, their operation was ruined by a young Rin Tohsaka who went on an investigation for a missing friend. Now that they soon learned about the now older girl, both are plotting their revenge against her.
  • Gilles is "reunited" with the real Jeanne d'Arc in the Pantheon. Jeanne is horrified to seeing Gilles in what he has become, from a loyal friend to an insane murderer. The sight of seeing the Holy Virgin in his eyes caused Gilles to grovel before her and, much to Uryuu's confusion, beg for forgiveness even if his crime can never be forgotten. Though Jeanne is willing to forgive Gilles if he atone for his sins, she cannot forgive Uryuu who enables his behavior in the Fourth Holy Grail War and being a serial murderer in his own right. Uryuu understood why Gilles is so obsessed with her but still doesn't want to get her way because she was going to punish him for his crime.
    • In a singularity, where Gilles have taken possession of the Holy Grail in the aftermath of the Hundred Year War, his hatred and bane created a distortion of his vision of Jeanne, Jeanne Alter. Jeanne Alter is not happy to deal with her "father's" idolatrous ramblings, but deep down, she's graceful that he brought her into existence and wouldn't experienced what it's like to be her person. But Jeanne Alter refuses to acknowledge Uryuu as her "uncle."
  • With Prelati's Spellbook, Gilles could summon and control water demons from the depths of the ocean of an alternate dimension. Deep in his own lair within the Pantheon, he tried to summon some gods of the depths for the power of inflict suffering to others, which somehow summoned Cthulhu.
    • The Daedric Princes seems pleased with their vileness and made themselves clear as alternate gods to worship. As a mad god himself, Sheogorath revels at Gilles's lost mentality while Molag Bal enables their sick satisfaction of death and suffering.
    • Thanks to his own insanity and Mental Pollution, Gilles is one of the few people that can see Saya's true eldritch appearance.
  • Wanted for child murder, they will be shot on sight if they come near the young deities of the Pantheon, as their crimes extend not on just the murder but also the mutilation and dissection of the rotting cadavers.
    • On one night, the two men kidnapped Nanako. Naturally, the Investigation Team were furious about the kidnapping and went heated upon approaching their lair. Even Adachi was against the two strangers, despite being a murderer himself.
    • Though not a summoned servant in the Fourth Holy Grail War, they are despised by Atalanta, who loved children and wanting to wish for a world where children can be loved and accepted. She is not hesitant to shoot them in the head or even unleashing Agrius Metamorphosis to tear them to pieces.
  • One of the most known feature of Gilles's disgusting visage is his bulging fish eyes, which solidifies his insanity. However, according to Jeanne, she poked her eyes some times and it somehow turns him back to normal temporarily, much to Uryuu's confusion. It hurts like hell and prefer not to get his eyes, especially since one of Moe Howard's gag is poking his companion's eyes.
  • With their disturbed mind, they got along well with other insane murderers, especially if their victims are young children. They are willing to share their visceral furnitures to their "friends."
  • Despite their motive of murdering children, they seems scared of Hanzel & Gretel, at least in regards to finding victims to maim. Otherwise, the two found the murderous twins to quite entertainment and once asked them to film their carnage... and that snuff film.

[up] Sure, looks way cooler

[up][up] How about The Old Gods? Gilles wouldn't look out of place summoning creatures under their command and both already insane so there is no need to corrupt what's already corrupted
