Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Ringo Roadagain, God of Explaining Your Powers to the Enemy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ringo_roadagain_7.png
  • House: Power Levels and Appearance (House of Power)
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His impossibly stylish goatee
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral
  • Portfolio: Explaining Your Powers to the Enemy To Keep Things Fair (Rewinds Time By Six Seconds), A Charismatic, Brilliant And Noble Foe, Blood Knight, Death Seeker, Silver Fox, A Cool Skull-Goatee, Resembles Charles Bronson, The Gunslinger, Dark and Troubled Past
  • Domains: Duels, Gunslingers, the Wild West, Fairness, Manhood
  • Interested in: Jiren, Whis
  • Allies: John Marston, Hit, Gunvolt, The Heroic Protectors of Family, Boba Fett
  • On good terms with: Theodore Roosevelt, Philip J Fry, Lars Fillmore, Son Goku
  • On speaking terms with: Ringo Starr, Horus
  • Rivals: Jesse McCree, Scarface
  • Respects: George McFly, Emmett Brown, Jarvan Lightshield IV, and to a lesser extent Leonard Snart
  • Enemies: Rapists, successful or attempted (particularly the Brave Companions and Ethan Roark Jr), Lord Djibril
  • Wary of: The House of Thieves
  • Uncertain on: Hunter Zolomon
  • In the Steel Ball Run, Funny Valentine hired a number of people to help in his ambitions. One of them is Ringo Roadagain. He seeks to duel those who come his way in order to purge himself of fear and uncertainty. His Stand, Mandom, lets him rewind time by six seconds, leaving everyone in its range with the memory of what happened in those seconds. An honorable duelist, Ringo explains how his powers work as he feels that it's only proper for both parties to do so, for they may be on an equal level.
  • Named after Ringo Starr, who he seems relatively fond of. Resembles Charles Bronson. And generally on good terms with other cowboy deities, like John Marston. He's planning for a duel with Jesse McCree. Joe Swanson was warned of this and is opposing potential illegal activities as his role as a cop, however there's Nothing Personal and Joe respects Ringo's machismo. Scarface was interested in his Blood Knight nature and duels, and has requested they have a fight.
  • Ringo's youth was not a pleasant one. His father died in prison from a disease after serving in the military. He had hemophilia and both his mother and sisters were killed by a bandit who tried to rape him, but he struck back and shot his would-be assaulter. Because of this, he is a close ally to the Heroic Protectors of Family, and while they don't agree on many things he respects Horus' goal of vengeance against the murder of his father.
  • His Stand, Mandom, lets him rewind time by six seconds with the touch of a wristwatch. It causes disorientation in those unready for it and is mainly a support for duels. Fry was reminded of the 10 second Reset Button he used, though that didn't end well for him. He considers Ringo cool and someone to emulate in the search for mandom. His duplicate Lars has already gone on his own path to strengthen himself.
  • Was hired by Funny Valentine, though he doesn't exactly have any real feelings for the 23rd president. Despite his connection to Valentine, Theodore Roosevelt has a good amount of respect for Ringo, and the feeling is mutual. It's all driven by their shared views in manhood, courage and fair play.
  • Given his background, he tends to stay away from the House of Thieves. But if you're a rapist, attempted of successful, you have Ringo's deep contempt. The full extent of his hatred is directed to Ethan Roark Junior, as he is a sadistic pedophile and Serial Killer (Ringo was 10 at the time of his Attempted Rape), but is also an utter coward which flies in the face of his own journey. For that matter, he loathes Lord Djibril for being an idiotic and psychopathic coward.
  • On the opposite side of things, he respects George McFly for not only stopping date rape, but growing to become a courageous soul and finding his own mandom. He's fond of Doc Brown too, although as a mercenary they tend to keep their distance from him. Boba Fett was impressed by Ringo and his personality, and the two have decided to work bounties together.
  • Has been seen working with Hit and Gunvolt, two honorable assassins. Hit in particular has embraced the idea of a good fight, plus the two share time-based powers. Goku was prepping for a potential fight with him. Ringo is interested in both Whis and Jiren. Whis comes down to his Reset Button power. For Jiren, he has come to seek what lies beyond strength, and has grown from a loner with a troubled past to a stronger man in the mental and emotional sense.
  • Finds the Brave Companions to be a truly repulsive group of assassins. They're rapists and Stupid Evil sadists, not to mention cowards who don't deserve their name. He finds Captain Cold to be a much better person due to his honor, despite being wary due to his nature as a thief. Snart privately admits he's pretty stylish himself.
  • His interest with Captain Cold and mercenary career led him to cross paths with both ascended Flashes, to which he ended up getting involved in duels. Despite their Super-Speed they ended up humoring them for a bit when it came to their duels. In general, he likes how they have grown. Hunter Zolomon was intrigued by Ringo due to his self-improvement from tragedy, forcing Gyro to grow and eventually shoot him. Ringo thinks Zolomon has good intentions, but it's the execution which is seriously flawed.

Time for a suggestion.

The Shopwell’s Products, Gods and Godesses of Adult Works Mistaken For Children’s Media

  • Reason: It really isn't.
    • Those who first watched the Red Band trailer anticipated that it would be a children's movie since it involved anthropomorphic food and that it bore an uncanny resemblance to what you would see in a Disney, Pixar or DreamWorks film. Then, once the Irish potato dropped the F-bomb, said viewers thought, "What the hell is this?". One of the TV spots had to give a warning that the movie is rated R twice the first at the very beginning and the later ones even had to put a red stamp saying "Rated R" on the film's release date.
    • A trailer for the film was shown just before Finding Dory in one California theater. The theater apologized later on, explaining that Dory had not been scheduled in that auditorium until late due to unexpected demand, and they had forgotten to switch it out with an adult-oriented movie (and its trailers) playing earlier in the same auditorium. The theater stated that the Sausage Party trailer has never been scheduled with Dory; however, it has been speculated that the reason the error wasn't caught until it was too late was because the first trailer to play was for a bright, cheerful-looking animated picture.
    • And after the home release, several stores and streaming services have put a big red "Rated R" label on the movie's cover and advertising, less risking a parent bring this movie home for his little child.
    • Verizon Fios initially incorrectly labeled the movie as having a PG-13 rating. According to a Tumblr post, this also happened at one Regal Cinemas location in New York during the Columbus Day weekend re-release when a PG-13 MPAA rating card showed up before the movie started.note
    • The movie is rated 11+ in Sweden, and 12+ in Norway and France.note

[up] Does the Sephiroth here include his Remake version, or is it just his compilation self? That can decide any rank alterations.

Any alteration regarding the Remake would be incomplete because the story of the Remake is not out in its entirety yet so i wouldn't try to make major changes yet.

And its less a remake and more of a reimagening. Things could change for Sephirot in the new FFVII

[up] Turns out the Sephiroth in the remake is aware of the events of the original Final Fantasy Vii, and so is trying his best to alter the remake’s events to make him on top. By the end, he absorbs the Meteor’s power and can completely screw with space-time without a Super Mode. Also, by logic he might be able to become his infamous One-Winged Angel form at any moment and might even be aware of the events of Dissidia, making him at his most dangerous now

Though, likely we should wait when the remake trilogy is over... whenever that may be/

@Gigan: Sweden and Norway didn't rate Sausage Party that low because they lack higher rating; Sweden has a 15 rating and Norway has an 18 rating. The real reason they rated SP so low is because they are not easily offended by food that swears and has sex like Americans are. Trust the Puritans to think that all it takes to make a cartoon for adults is adding copious swearing and orgies. Little do they know it makes their "adult" cartoon look more immature.

Actually, for once Nomura’s nonsense is actually genius this time.

He had made a way for the remakes to diverge from the game everyone knows about in an actual In-Universe thing that makes sense.

Though all of KH is on him. Baiting me with a new saga at your finale lost me and questioned why I bought the entire saga on PS 4 Even after I knew, goddamit.

@Gigan What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids? is a broad trope and can easily fit some of the older cartoons. So I'd agree with wootzits that choosing another suggestion would be fitting. I'd rather not jump the gun than to meddle with something that has been a rather not-so-friendly reception.

  • Symbol: The Sirens

  • Allies: Ithaqua, Pyramid Head, SMG4 Mario, Chris and Swagmaster
  • Rivals: The Slender Man
  • Enemies: The SCP Foundation, Any deity from Silent Hill
  • The Siren Head is an elusive creature said to be found wandering around the empty wilderness of the world. Whenever someone hears the forebonding sound of a Siren, one is sure to know the Siren Head is around and it it catches you then god knows what will happen to you. His preferred method of hunting is luring people with the voice of a friend or loved one or even the sound of animals, as Siren Head is able to mimic those sounds almost perfectly.
  • The Siren Head is said to have emerged from the House of Nature after several deities were found dead in several parts of said house and reports of a distant siren noise being heard with occasional warning broadcast about an imminent danger. The Pantheon Authorities issued an investigation and one unlucky deity found the culprit was none other than Siren Head, who then narrowly escaped its clutches and requested the aid of the SCP Foundation in hopes on capturing the creature, which they succeeded.
  • The temple that holds the Siren Head is a wood area and has only a warning sign towards potential trespasser. Several of the Foundation members found that the sirens the creature would occasionally emit would be enough of a deterrent for other deities to NOT enter the house but these agents never accounted for the creature getting out of its temple by themselves and causing a lot of havoc. Which is why nowadays the temple has a lot more security protocols, though from time to time the Siren Head finds a way to break out.

[up][up][up] I have no idea why, but I can picture the Hawkins Party coming across and having to face off against the Siren Head. Or maybe the thing reminds me of the Demogorgon due to looking humanoid, yet so otherworldly.

Also, I can see the Qurupeco as a Follower/High Priest as that's a monster known for mimicking other monsters' voice as a means of deception.

Well, here's OG Evil Overlord rework right here. Aside from being that, keep in mind that Sauron is more than just that; a disgraced Maiar, master planner and manipulator, among the closest things Middle-earth has to a Mad Scientist and a skillet crafter before his fall in the Second Age.

Any suggestions and ideas are most welcome.

  • Mairon the Admirable was one of the finest and most well-regarded of the Maiar, renowned for his expertise and skill in craft, whom he was taught by Ainu Aule and prioritized love and protection above all. Unfortunately, Mairon was swayed into corruption, courtesy of Melkor, who became embittered with jealousy and rage over not being able to match up to his superior and Top God, Eru Ilúvatar. Melkor, now rebranding himself as Morgoth vowed to distort and completely ruin Middle-earth with Mairon, who had changed his alias to Sauron serving as his ultimate lieutenant alongside Ancalagon, greatest of all winged dragons, and Gothmog, lord of the balrogs. However, after Melkor was defeated and banished into the Void, Sauron took it upon himself to succeed him as the next Dark Lord. To take over Middle-earth, he took the guise of an elf named Annatar and joined along with elves, dwarfs and mankind to create a series of special rings that would grant them awesome. However, what they didn't know was that Sauron was crafting another ring, one that would seize control of the other 19 wearers. The elves and dwarfs were lucky to avoid control, but the 9 men were too late and were enslaved, becoming the Nazgûl. Despite being exposed and losing his angelic and beautiful appearance, Sauron amassed his army and assaulted the free races in one giant battle. Despite coming close, Sauron was defeated when he lost possession of his ring and physical body, but having poured his soul and hate into the One Ring, he endured long enough to curse the man who defeated him, Isildur, into dying at an ambush Orc attack. However, the ring was lost...
    • ...until it was found by a Hobbit named Smeagol who kept it. The ring's influence allowed Smeagol to bypass his original lifespan, but it's corrupting powers twisted and distorted Smeagol in mind and body, becoming Gollum. Gollum would lose the ring, whereupon it would end up in the hands of Bilbo Baggins. The ring would be inherited by Bilbo's nephew Frodo, who would take it upon himself and a group known as the Fellowship of the Ring to take the ring to Mount Doom to destroy it. Finally finding out about the ring's return, Sauron did everything in his power to reclaim it, but the persistence and determination of the Fellowship, their friends, family and alliance and the sudden role and influence Gollum had managed to outlast long enough for the One Ring to be destroyed. Hence, Sauron's influence was suddenly and permanently crushed, which was indicated by the collapse of Barad-dûr.
  • Sauron was actually among the first beings in the Pantheon. His first chronological sighting was soon after Melkor managed to free himself from the Void and establish the Grand United Alliance of Evil. As the original Dark Lord needed to quickly amass a group of followers to combat against Cosmos, Sauron was quickly bought back and was the ultimate general to the GUAE. Despite his prestigious position, Sauron would soon face competition as the GUAE Mastermind was beginning to add more members, starting with the Four Horsemen, composing of Griffith, Johan Liebert, Majin Buu. Although he was a bit annoyed that the three of them were given a higher position than him, Sauron still held a great influence among villains, as demonstrated as many of the battles between the GUAE and GUAG were led by Sauron on the former's side with a varying win-loss streak.
    • However, Sauron's reputation, popularity and influence began to take a dip overtime with the appearances of newer, more interesting and more competent villains for Melkor to sway to his side. Sauron himself pretended to look like he took it pretty well... until the day came when the GUAE Malum Magia was to have its top leader announced, a prospect that the Dark Lord was looking forward to. It came as a very shocking dismay when it was announced that Lord Voldemort was to represent and lead the Malum Magia. Infuriated, Sauron approached Melkor and demanded why he was getting neglected and passed over, to which the original Dark Lord mused that Sauron hasn't been doing all too well with his role either, especially his crippling defeat in the end of the Third Age. A few complaints later, Sauron took some time off to brood and reflect whether Melkor truly valued him...
    • During his time in isolation, Sauron was met by Darkseid, who by that time, had made himself known for opposing Melkor. The God of Apokolips told the Dark Lord that he wanted a conversation and that he was feeling alienated. Darkseid then revealed that he and Melkor had differing ideals and end goals; Melkor wanted to obliterate Arda and Middle-earth out of spite and anger whereas Sauron was aiming for law and order to be imposed on every race and land where he would be in control and that at the end of the day, Sauron and Melkor would just butt heads on deciding what should happen in the end. Darkseid then concluded that as a fellow outcast when it comes to villains, he asked Sauron if they could join forces and that he himself was aiming for law and order himself before departing. In just one meeting, Sauron entered a very reflective and deep thought about his past, actions and allegiance. He saw that Darkseid was right; he and Melkor weren't really compatible, in spite of being his apprentice and top lieutenant and their goals were always different.
    • His lack of any meaningful rank to justify his Evil Overlord representation, Darkseid's conversation and his reflection all culminated in a last straw; Sauron left the GUAE and took along with him all of his most trusted allies and the armies that he personally had control of, but not before leaving a note to slam Melkor for being a coward in situations where he would meet his match, usually relying on Sauron himself when it comes to plans and strategies and for neglecting his first top general. He immediately came to Apokolips to swear his allegiance to Darkseid and become his chief enforcer. Sauron was the first of many potential recruits in the Harbingers Of Repression, which Darkseid created to represent his own faction from being free of the GUAE's influence.
  • While Melkor was the first Dark Lord, Sauron is arguably the more popular one of the two, something with he can boast about. Still, with how Melkor still has more power than him, Sauron usually keeps quiet about him. Even disregarding the popularity challenge, Sauron still seeks to usurp, or at least surpass Melkor in some way or another. Being in the GUAE hampered this direction, given how he had to grovel and take orders from his master frequently, but since his defection and joining the Harbingers, Sauron can now actively plan out what he can do to challenge Melkor. The first thing he wants to do is become a better fighter. Sure his main strength is creation and deception, but someday, you have to look strong and imposing.

@Siren Head: I don't know if this will be of any use, but Joel of Vinesauce played some amateurish Siren Head games since he's played plenty of horror games (including some Slenderman games). The last game in the (hour-long) video I posted was of a dating sim styled VN starring Siren Head, which comes off as strange to me (though to me, it's existence might just be because some people want to take advantage of how unusual Siren Head is).

  • Saffron, Reva, Gunner, Selicy, Hazel, Terra, Shiso, Violette, and Shopkeeper. These nine travelers hail from a home torn apart by war and their only hope is reaching the promised land that is Eden. Yet the road to such a place is treacherous. Various monsters stand in their path, yet the most dangerous hurdles come from each other. Inevitably, they have to come to blows and best them to continue on but in order to truly make it to their destination each and every last one of them has to be spared, save for perhaps Terra after her brief stint as the final opponent on that routenote  If even one of them is executed on the way there none of the rest actually make it to the titular place all thanks to Serif, Eden's guardian, smiting them for trying to force their way in. Just one step from Eden, if you will. Worser still is the scenario in which one of them going out of their way to execute the rest there, which would include the Shopkeeper, as they end up being its very destroyer by way of actually taking down Serif herself. And that was just after fighting their way through Eden itself. In short, sparing people really has its boons here. It saves lives, yours included.
  • The nine travelers are as follows:
    • Saffron, the starting character and poster girl for the game. A military scientist before embarking on her journey, she's apparently had a hand in designing a number of spells and technologies and prefers to think through when it comes to her problems. One of the more friendlier faces, but may have a bit of an ego (especially when it comes to casting) and isn't above using her foes as field testing for her spells. That, and she's still a beast when it comes to combat.
    • Reva, the veritable knight in shining armor. Even after escaping from a war-torn world her ideals remain stalwart as her shield, Eschaton: There are still people out there worth protecting from whatever dangers the world has to throw at everyone. She will not shy away from fighting if it's the sake of the defenseless, but that doesn't mean she'll particularly enjoy it, killing even less so. It's to the point that she expresses the most remorse out of the entire cast and of out of all the bosses she has the highest default spare ratio numbering at 21%. In fact, Reva outright calls out many of her fellow travelers for their actions in the past. Reva came to accept them, however, especially as they pretty much improved themselves after the whole journey in the end.
    • Gunner's a mercenary hot-shot with a preference towards firepower through guns and munitions to solve problems. Yeah, who knew, right? Apparently, he's got quite the reputation on his hands with hundreds of kills to his name before starting out his journey. Befitting his occupation he has quite the professional attitude, even treating the path to Eden as just another mission. This notably makes him one of the more unscrupulous members of this band despite being one of the youngest, at one point even telling Reva that whether she likes it or not everyone days sooner or later.
    • Selicy is a girl who proclaims herself as a queen of the North. She's fond of the simple things in life: She loves the cold, sharing what she loves, and getting up into enemies faces. She’s a cryomancer, if you couldn’t tell, but her demeanor is anything but chill. Definitely one of the rudest of the group, even for her young age, making her quite the bratty tomboy. Her attitude improved a bit after getting to Eden, but her love for ice puns remains.
    • Hazel’s her name, Hexawan engineering is her game. You can tell because she’s lugs around a person-sized wrench on her body at all times. Hazel knows her way through all sorts of machines, most notably more dangerous sorts of tech that serve as weapons. Skilled as she was, however, it wasn’t enough to prevent whatever kind of disaster that befell her old home. Nor was it ever enough to surpass Saffron in any achievements, something Hazel has greatly resented. Their rivalry continues but thankfully after making it to Eden they’ve pretty much made up and it’s more on the friendly, but heated kind of competitions.
    • The “leader of her new world”, Terra carries the elegant aura of such a figure and possesses great skill over black magic. As a result she gives off quite the menacing and sometimes even malicious aura, fitting as she ends up as the Pacifist route’s Final Boss under the form of “Terrable” despite being spared earlier. It’s unknown why she suddenly decided to turn on the group though there’s evidence of it being an Enemy Without type of deal. Might stem from some dark power and/or artifact, but who really knows at this point. What’s certain is that she genuinely has a change of heart after being spared yet again. Also, she likes to break things.
    • Face-obscuring scarf, jet-black shades, overall dark clothing, Shiso’s is the closest to your archetypal rogue. A selfish loner, he's perhaps the most remorseless with the lowest default spare ratio everyone with a measly 7%. Of course, like everyone else he probably got a bit better at least after having traveled to Eden. Maybe sparing the rest/being spared himself done something good underneath. His decision to use the Lynchpin and low opinions on magic may also point to him being a bit old-fashioned too.
    • Keep to the beat when Violette is around. You may not even have a choice in the matter, anyways. This violinist has quite a dignified, charming air to her, and remains just as graceful even in battle. An older woman like herself might be a bit pompous, but she is always grateful to those who have the time to appreciate her music. It’s an exhausting art, sure, but it’s also what gives her life and nothing else even comes to making her happy besides it.
    • You’d think people would look to safer, stabler places to set up shop but when has business ever been truly halted by danger? Shopkeeper has wares if you have coin and they usually include artifacts, spells, upgrades, and even removals. Other than she can also refresh her stock, take blood in exchange for money, or form pacts for free that prove rewarding if one can take the heat for a while. On Dark routes, stock that costs money now takes health as well. Usually pleasant to talk to, until she isn’t if the attitude she shows in her character select and when encountered in Dark roads are anything to go off of. Then again, it’s probably a more stressful venture than looks so maybe it’s best to give her a break.
  • Following the outcome in which all of them make it to Eden and Terra is shown mercy, the nine heroes have since settled their differences to live peaceful lives there. And yet seems as though none of them could quite escape that call to adventure. At one point did someone among this band catch wind of yet another faraway place and out of curiosity (and maybe against one's better judgement too) decided to undertake yet another trip. Maybe Shopkeeper wanted to expand her business, maybe Gunner was tasked with a new job, maybe Reva was beckoned by the prospect of more people needing her help, it's quite unclear. What was clear was that they ended up incidentally galvanizing the rest of their compatriots to travel together once more. Good thing too, the road ahead of them was not only as long as the road to Eden but there was a great deal of dangers, some familiar and others none of them have ever seen before. Still, they made it and found themselves at the Pantheon's doorstop.
    • Stepping inside, they were congratulated for making the trip all the way out here. As per customs, all nine of them were offered a trip around and were at one point offered placement within the place as Gods. The lot of them were pretty skeptical at the offer, as expansive and awe-inspiring as the Pantheon was they found it hard to give up Eden after everything they went through though lucky for them they didn't necessarily have to choose between the two. Should they accept, they're able to freely travel between the two worlds whenever they like. Weighing in their options, personal interests, and concern regarding some of the other gods and goddesses coming onto Eden, they ended up accepting the proposition.
  • Given that their game of deck-building combat in a tile-based battleground takes great inspiration from the Mega Man Battle Network series it shouldn't come off as that big of a surprise when many of the deities from said series took time out of their days to meet them. Lan Hikari, MegaMan.EXE, Eugene Chaud, and Iris.EXE had little trouble getting along with them, even including the more aloof members though hailing from the Pacifist route might have something to do with that. There was only one god absent from that day's line up and upon being asked out about Lan and Eugene explained to them about the existence of Bass.EXE. Since then they've been cautious of him given his disdain for humans and their perceived betrayal, even if he is more-so focused on MegaMan.EXE for besting him.

    • Perhaps fitting Saffron's brilliant mind she's a Jack of All Trades and her default loadout is not only a good mix of different spells but she's able to fit into any desired focus of spells she sees fit. Anima, Glimmer, Miseri, if you can name it she can probably fit into it. If she has to pick a favorite, though, she does favor Ragnarok. It's even her sole spell in one of her alternate loadouts, the aptly named Solo, which encourages the execution of hostages for extra max HPnote . And speaking of alternate loadouts, the other one has her trade out the Field Bracer for a wristwatch that slows down time. As an opposing boss, her patterns aren't all two different from spells acquirable by the player though she does gain a plushie of her likeness which can retaliate against attacks done to it. In both instances as a character and boss she's able to Auto-Revive by way of Second Soul.
    • (Susie)
    • (Ciel)
    • "I guess you could call me a magical girl."
  • Reva only:
    • In both loadouts she's able to outright reflect oncoming attacks with her shield (self-damage included). While her default loadout focuses on building up as much shields as she possibly can through Phalanx spells, even through something as simple as moving, her alternate loadout of Beat conversely doubles down on retaliation with any hit (again, self-damage included) resulting in a attack of some sort. Fittingly as a boss she doesn't have much in the way of offense but besides obviously making up in defense the attack she does dish out will hurt. Oh, and she can summon Slashers to help her out. No biggie or anything.
    • (Mashu, Captain America, Shield Knight, Steven Universe)
      • (Maple, Bridgette, Reinhardt)
    • (Naofumi, Darkness)
    • "We don't have to fight anymore."
  • Gunner only:
    • If you fond of gunplay then you've come to the right place with this guy. The Manafire loadout has him start out him some decent spells but with zero mana regen. Thus, his source of Mana would mainly come from hosing just about everything in your sights with M4 Manafire to bombard the enemy with his spell arsenal. Bullhell, however, strays from the use of spells (starting with only a Bomb Toss) in favor of riskier up-close and personal relationship with M3 Triwing. In both loadouts, shuffling the deck increases his attack so always be on the offensive when he's without spells and later on he's able. Later on, he's also able to trade in his gun for a M2 Hunter Seeker or a M1 Liofire. That big gun of his is powerful enough to boost himself and he takes it a step further in his boss fight to either get the high ground or ram himself right into his enemies.
    • (Firearms and Projectiles)
    • "Stand right there."
  • Selicy only:
    • What you see is what you get with Selicy: Slice and dice with some razor sharp ice. She's built around Frost Anima spells and her default loadout of Snow encourages her to zip around the battlefield and inflict Frost to lead into her Snowpiercer. Likewise, the Invade loadout encourages this tenfold with Fairfrozen allowing her to get right into the enemy's face and lane while moving as much as possible with Cool Shoes restoring her mana for each and every movement. As an opposing boss Selicy is incredibly mobile and really doubles down on getting up close and the giant icicle blades she sends out don't help.
    • (Elsa, Popo and Nana, Ice and Cold)
      • (Lord Fredrik, Frost, Ghiaccio)
    • (Teddie, Sans, Papyrus)
    • "Ice to meet you."
  • Hazel only:
    • Hexwawan spells are basically Hazel's thing. Build up structures with her initial loadout, starting off with turrets she is able to shield up and increase the firepower of to gain some protection herself. She's even able to redirect her creations and enemies alike to get them where it benefits her. Alternatively, the Teardown loadout encourages her to do the inverse with the dismantling things like Walls and Blast Crystals to gain Mana and Spellpower for herself as she launches the fragmentation right at her foes. As a boss, she brings the best of both worlds to the table. Flamethrower turrets, rows of giant missiles, or giant trash compactors that crush anything in their wake.
    • (The Engineer, Torbjorn, Symmetra)
    • (Sentry Turrets)
    • "Hmm, let me fix your face!"
  • Terra only:
    • Contrasting Saffron, Terra is a user of more traditional magic. Her name literally denotes her default element of manipulating the terrain for her benefit. As such, controlling the battlefield and the space in which her opponents move is crucial to her success. The trend continues with Pyro where she's setting everything on fire instead. As an opposing boss, as either Terra or Terrable, she really only utilizes the former loadout as per her namesake, but she's formidable nonetheless if one isn't quick but methodical in moving around. Anything less would play right into her hands.
    • (Earth and Rock)
    • (Terra Branford, Keyblade Wielder) .
    • "Dust do dust."
  • Shiso only:
    • For Shiso, the weapons he has on hand are more important than the spellpower dished out. For Execute, his revolver is Cast from Money with half of what he currently has determining the final damage dealt, and he is returned some when dealing a killing blow. Thus, one must hoard as much currency as one possibly can while getting things that either soffen up his targets or hold them still for a good chance to administer the killing blow. Kunai, by contrast, is more straightforward. His focus her regards Slashfik spells, specifically the ones. And speaking of being straightforward, it's a pretty apt description for his fight as a boss. Not too crazy on throwing stuff out, demanding reaction time instead to pull through lest one's offensive options get greatly diminished by the amount of jams and shuffles he induces.
    • (Mccree, Rushuna, Erron Black)
    • (Jude the Dude, Yosemite Sam, Hol Horse)
    • (Neo, John Wick)
    • "I've been saving this one for you."
  • Violette only:
    • Dance and battle are both one and the same with Violette, as both player and opponent. In Doubletime, she's a Dance Battler where different moves after playing her violin grant different effects. Most of the time, she's building herself up as a Glass Cannon as every instance of being inflicted Fragile gives her more and more Spell Power in return. Combined with the ability to also restore Mana, stack up Trinity, and even Shield herself and Violette can dish out. Aria, by contrast, is something of the opposite. Playing her violin here refills Mana but poisons herself and in every single battle she starts off poisoned but also heal whatever damage was initially dealt. Ergo, Violette is to stave off the poison at any opportunity which can do by resetting the timer everytime she plays but the Mana she generates should be used to end fights very quickly. Her fight as a boss takes the most liberties out of everyone, attacking to the flow of her own theme and at times forcing her opponents to dance to the music too. To say nothing of the pillars of light or the speakers she calls forth that really restrict any wriggle room.
    • (Kaori, Yurika)
    • "Lucky you! You get a free concert!"
  • Shopkeeper only:
    • Thus far, she holds the title to having one of the most unusual of playstyles, revolving around money like Shiso but to an exaggerated degree. Her current amount of money dictates the maximum number of health she has with attacking and taking damage costing it. The upside to all of this is that Shopkeeper can access her own shop at any point with the spells and artifacts being free to buy. So what she may lack in durability she can certainly make up in offense. More than likely the very last character to be unlocked as doing so is only possible through defeating her as a boss. Now, as an opposing boss... good lord is she fond of screen filling attacks. Shopkeeper does not mess around. Picking a fight with her will certainly leave a lasting impression, figuratively and literally.

@RJ: I hope you don't miss this yet again.

@Crimson: What you have described Sauron reminds me of Shang Tsung, as he also served under an Evil Overlord in Shao Kahn and even betrayed him in order to obtain more power for himself.

[up][up] For Reva, Kaede Honjou/Maple is another shield user, though only in the digital realms. Also, you misspelled "Hikari" as "Hiakri".
