Junior Crow Cillers
A group of students at Puke City West School who, after narrowly escaping a kidnapping by the Order of the Crow, form a team to investigate and expose them, and also mostly just hang out and stuff.- Break the Cutie: At the start of the series she's a Snooping Little Kid eager to jump into adventure, but these experiences take a major toll on her.
- Breakout Character: Was a supporting character in Lamezine and Microwave Planet but takes center stage here.
- Broken Bird: She... goes through a lot. In Season 9, she joins the Crow.
- Enemy Mine: Of sorts in Season 9, which sees her allying with Marcus/The Crow, as they all have a vested interest in finding someone who can control Ynce Iche.
- Hikikomori: Post-time skip
- Jumped at the Call: By far the eagerest to begin uncovering information about The Crow and Ynce Iche, much to the chagrin of the adults around her.
- In Harm's Way: Unable to let go of what happened to her in her childhood, she eventually ends up seeking out Ynce Iche to destroy it once and for all.
- Other Me Annoys Me: She meets a similar version of herself from an alternate universe and quickly learns how exhausting it is to try to keep track of her. Later played for drama.Every version of me I've ever seen fucking sucks.
- Out of Focus: Though initially presented as the main character, she's absent outside of a few scenes throughout Season 3.
- She's Back: Though she briefly overcomes her funk to save Jamie in season 2, she doesn't become fully willing to go on adventures again until late in season 4.
- Significant Wardrobe Shift: After the time skip she's always seen in a disheveled ahegao hoodie, which reflects the general state of her life at that point.
- Wrong Genre Savvy: Toyed with. Her affinity for adventure serves her well at points but much of her character arc is her being forced to reconcile her conceptions of what the story she's in should be with the reality of what it is.
- Ambiguously Absent Parent: She seems to get along well with her parents in the early seasons but after being taken to Ynce Iche she goes into hiding with the psychics and they're never mentioned again.
- Ascended Extra: Was a minor presence in Microwave Planet but plays a much larger role here

- Damsel in Distress: Although she doesn't realize it she winds up trapped in Ynce Iche during Seasons 2/3 and her friends have to save her.
- Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Characters never refer to her by name, even as an adult.
- Hidden Depths: Episode 87 explores her experiences with a stalker at work and reveals a lot of pain beneath her normally cheerful demeanor.Why do I have to exist for all of you!! Why can't you people exist for me for once!?!
- Innocent Means Naïve: It's VERY easy for Elaine Jr. to trick her.
- Out of Focus: Unlike the rest of the Junior Crow Cillers (who stay with Three4One) she stays with the psychics and isn't involved in most of the action post Season 3

A multi-talented girl with confidence issues who joins the Junior Crow Cillers early on. She starts off very shy but her relationship with her girlfriend Gretchen gradually opens her up.

- Go-Getter Girl: When she's introduced she's on the track team, in debate club, and joins yearbook, among other things.

- Out of Focus: Stops getting involved in Crow Cillers business during the Time Skip and is mostly absent after Season 7.
- The Runaway: Her and Gretchen run away from home together.

A girl who joins the Junior Crow Cillers after they become an anime club and becomes swept up in their drama. She can be blunt and insensitive but her heart is in the right place. Doris's girlfriend.

A girl who meets Emma in art class and introduces her to the world of experimental film.

- Origins Episode: "Film Crowcialisme" opens with an extended flashback her on a cruise ship with her family that's later revisited in "Episode 59"
- Second-Act Breakup: Has a falling out with Emma as a result of her careless behavior during Seasons 4/5, and after the Time Skip she's long since moved on.

The school's janitor who moonlights as a member of the junior Crow Cillers. Originally part of the cast of Microwave Planet.
- Almighty Janitor: An ineffective example, but she does use her job at the school to keep tabs on the Crow and conspire with the other Crow Cillers.
- Breakout Character: She's the only main character from Microwave Planet to be in the main cast of Crow Cillers.
- Fashionable Asymmetry: Her head is shaved on one side and she only wears one earring.
- G-Rated Stoner: Does a lot of drugs but it's mostly played for comedy.
- Growing Up Sucks: Has a focus episode in Season 7 where, post time skip, she has to reckon with the fact that she's no longer the Hard-Drinking Party Girl she once was.

Crow Cillers Three4One
A former pop trio employed by The Crow to tour their message until they escaped. Now they devote themselves to fighting the advancement of The Crow and caring for the Junior Crow Cillers.
- Defictionalization: The author sells a "tour shirt" from a fake Three4One tour of the US
- Garage Band: The group starts out as one when Neopolitan and Mint Chip begin practicing in the hopes of escaping their soul-crushing jobs, though they later Sell-Out.

- God-Is-Love Songs: Their songs are Crow propaganda
- Happily Adopted: The other characters begin to refer to them as Courtney's "moms"
- Image Song: They get their own track on the Season 1 soundtrack, though it presumably does not reflect what their music sounds like in-universe.
- La Résistance: One of several groups fighting the Crow, they have the distinction of coining the name "Crow Cillers"
- Parental Substitute: They end up taking care of most of the junior Crow Cillers while they're still hiding from the Crow

A member of the Three4One Crow Cillers trio, she grew up in the confines of the Crow and is determined to tear it down to free others from its clutches.

The final member of Three4One, Mintchip was previously employed by the Crow for unseemly ends and has great sympathy for those trapped in its machinations.
- Honor Before Reason: Insists on resigning as Mr. Nail's assistant in person despite knowing he's suspicious of her, which leads to her becoming a hostage
- The Mole: Goes undercover at Rope and Nail to gather information on The Crow

- Shrinking Violet: Tends to be shy around people she doesn't know
- Trans Tribulations: A minor example but there's a scene in a flashback episode where (while still male presenting) she is questioned about why her hair is so long
- Wrong Line of Work: She's forced into "clipboard duty," aka asking questions to assess whether children will be punished by the Crow, and she hates it.
A doll owned by Pistachio that she converses with.
- Ambiguous Situation: The doll is present from the very first page of the comic but its exact nature (what it is, why it talks) is never explained. It directly states that it's a stuffed animal and it remembers being in the store, but in Season 7 Embry claims it's a dangerous psyforme. This is never confirmed though.
- Checkhov's Gunman: The Howdy Crittler dolls come in very handy at the end of Season 3 when they open tunnels to Ynce Iche... for some reason.
- Companion Cube: To Pistachio
- Living Toys: Maybe? It definitely talks, but just to Pistachio.
- The Mole: Downplayed but Pistachio gives it to Courtney for a time to secretly watch over her.
- Psychic Link: Seems to have one with Pistachio, who is the only one who hears it speak.
Crow Cillers Psy Squad
A group of psychics who were trained by Lord Marrow to carry out top-secret missions who defected and now fight The Crow.
De facto leader of the Psy Squad after Harlyn goes off the deep end. She has a habit of trying to take on too much responsibility.
- Flechette Storm: Her go-to move is to fling her purse full of knives
- I Let Gwen Stacy Die: Blames herself for not saving Harlyn ( twice), and later Paris.
- The Leader: Does her best to fill this role in the Psy Squad
- Magic Librarian: Works at the school library
- Mind over Matter: Her psy power "Displace" allows her to fling objects around, usually knives
- Berserk Button: Never try to tell her that she's just imagining Ambrosia.
- Cool, but Inefficient: During a flashback, she laments that her power has no practical use beyond violence.
- Girl Meets Ghost: Death is not enough to stop her relationship with her girlfriend!
- The Lancer: She's the main member of the squad who helps Aria.
- Willing Channeler: Ambrosia's spirit lives within her and the two can still communicate.
- Your Head Asplode: Her primary power, "Psy Wave"
- An Arm and a Leg: Loses an arm in a mission gone wrong between Seasons 6/7
- The Power of Creation: Her power "Materialize"

A resistance group fighting The Order Of The Crow.
Skilled and excitable swordswoman/bodyguard for the Crow Ciller Cociety.
- Badass Normal: She has no special powers but is able to go toe to toe with Aria
- Comfort the Dying: She's the only one able to stick with Joslyn until the end.
- Dressing as the Enemy: She puts on a Crow mask and sells cupcakes to members of the Crow.
- Excessive Mourning: Season 9 begins with her still consumed with grief over Joslyn, despite a significant Time Skip after the events of Season 7
- Heroes Prefer Swords: But since the series takes place in the modern-day characters often comment on how unusual it is that she wields a blade.
- Hidden Depths: Apparently she's a better baker than Joslyn
- The Mentor: Assumes this role to Courtney post-Season 6
- The Mole: She's introduced as a bodyguard working for The Crow but is quickly revealed to be a double agent for the Cociety

- Team Mom: Very explicitly so to Ondine, but most of the people who know her seem to view her as a maternal figure.

- In the series itself she's a fairly unimportant character in the first few seasons but gets more focus later on.
- The Atoner: She hates her job at the school but (as of Season 8) sticks around because she feels obligated to bear witness to the Crow
- Doesn't Know Their Own Child: She struggles to connect with Emma (who frequently views her as an annoyance) and remains oblivious of the danger she's in until it's too late.
- La Résistance: Downplayed but she becomes an unofficial member of the Crow Cillers at the school.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Aria calls her "July" but the majority of the cast just refer to her as "Emma's Mom."

Other Crow Ciller Affiliates
Reluctant Crow, born into a privileged position. Not looking to hurt anyone- he's just looking to get through this. Eventually escapes the Crow and winds up as a friend of the Cociety.
- The Anti-Nihilist: Opens his own home unconditionally to people fleeing the Crow because he believes that everyone deserves another chance.
- Breakout Mook Character: Originally just a named Crow footsoldier, he emerges from behind the mask in season three and gets his own story arc.
- Bureaucratically Arranged Marriage: In a strange example, the other Crow members trapped in Ynce Iche expect him to marry Elayne. He's gay.
- Cult Defector: A prominent aspect of his storyline; by Season 7 he's dedicated himself to helping others flee the Crow as well.
- Establishing Character Moment: In his introduction, he's supposed to be guarding the Rope and Nail offices, but walks right by the Crow Cillers so he can go to the vending machine.
- Follow in My Footsteps: His family is heavily involved in the Crow but he doesn't really buy into it.
- Greasy Spoon: As of Season 8 he's working in one
- The Slacker
- Turn the Other Cheek: He can't bring himself to be angry at the Fake Defector who burns his house down because he was "just following orders."
A young woman who just joined the Crow to get by, but didn't really believe in it. She gets trapped in Ynce Iche with the other Crow foot soldiers and winds up escaping with Vince.
- Breakout Mook Character
- Call to Agriculture: In Season 7 she's seen tending a garden to grow produce for her community home.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: Survives almost being killed by the Crow, escapes Ynce Iche, and struggles to reintegrate back into normal society after all that, but eventually she describes herself as happy.
- Hidden Depths: Continues to wear her Crow mask even after the others have discarded theirs, eventually revealing that although she doesn't believe in the Crow, she still feels like she is "owed" the mask.
- Not Used to Freedom: She talks to a Crow runaway about experiencing this when she first escaped the Crow:I know when the Crow has been your world... it's hard to believe that we could be doing this without wanting something. Or, I guess that's what we get out of this. What I get out of doing the gardening here or whatever... I don't want to live in that world again.
- Out of Focus: Has a fairly prominent subplot in seasons three and four but fades into the background once she's free from Ynce Iche.
A kindly friend who hangs out with some of the cast.
- Connected All Along: He independently knows Sour Gummy, Jill, the Dire Rat's Grotto staff, and the Lamezine cast. Later he winds up working in a Crow Cillers safe house.
- Establishing Character Moment: He's introduced giving a long creed about how to operate a claw machine, which is his primary passion. When Sour Gummy point out this has nothing to do with the question they asked him, he answers in an even more esoteric way.
- Informed Attribute: Sour Gummy seek him out because he used to know a lot about magic, but beyond this mention it never comes into play.
- Nice Guy: Everyone seems to like him and he never responds with anything less than a smile.
- Non-Action Guy: He's tangential to a lot of plot points but never really gets involved.

Order of the Crow
A shady cult-like organization that antagonizes the main cast with the goal of controlling Ynce Iche.
One of the main antagonists of the comic, Marcus is an agent of the Crow obsessed with finding the secrets of Ynce Iche by any means necessary.
- Action Survivor: He possesses no special powers but outlasts most of the other antagonists in the series.
- Career-Building Blunder: He murders Brother Andrews in a blind rage and lies about it, which results in him being made head of the investigation to find the killer, which he co-opts to begin researching Ynce Iche
- Determinator: He's willing to do anything to uncover the secrets of Ynce Iche
- Everybody Knew Already: It turns out Lord Marrow knew of his deception all along but let him carry on because he was more able to get his hands dirty
- Geek: Has a nerdy interest in cartoons and at one point attempts to give Joslyn a lecture about a song that's playing
- Manipulative Bastard: He's very good at using others to achieve his own ends.
- Would Hurt a Child: A subtle part of his character arc is his relationship to this trope: during one of his first encounters with Ynce Iche he refuses to let it harm a child, but as his obsession grows he becomes willing to turn a blind eye to the Crow kidnapping children, ultimately culminating in him killing Jarod.
Old fashioned Crow Elder. He's very certain of the superiority of the Crow, and the evil of those who would challenge it.

Head of massively successful "Rope & Nail Inc.," he developed ties with the Crow to further his business and becomes very entangled with them as the series goes on.

- Offscreen Moment of Awesome: His scientists successfully contain the Ynce Iche monster and are able to harness its power with machines, but because this is The Reveal we see none of it.

That is what the Order of the Crow worships. You feed the Bloodwolfe and you get to stand on the ladder. Everyone else is dog food.
- Suicidal Overconfidence: Thinks so little of the Crow Cillers that he ignores the very large sword Ondine is holding.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Gets comparatively little development than the other antagonists, to the point where he doesn't even appear in the Crow Ciller guides.
The school's evil algebra teacher, and later the school's evil principal.
- Ascended Extra: She's introduced as a minor character early in Season 4 but doesn't do much until Season 8, where she's (literally) promoted to a major antagonist.
- Characterization Marches On: There's a throwaway line early in Season 8 which implies she's weirded out by Miss Murder, but the two are later revealed to be an Official Couple who are quite close.
- Darker and Edgier: In her first appearance she behaves very cartoonishly but by Season 8 she's become much more jaded.
- Establishing Character Moment: The first thing we see her do in Season 8 is to burn a box of lost & found stuff, making it pretty clear what kind of principal she is.

- Ascended Fanon: A strange meta example involving the recursive Show Within a Show nature of the comic- there are a few references to Miss Corvidae/Miss Weeks peppered throughout the comic including actual fanart.
- Evil Matriarch: She used Courtney to bully the children of adults who annoyed her, and from what we see of her other children she wasn't exactly raising them to be kind either.

- Honor-Related Abuse: She states that the reason she puts Courtney on the truck with the other children is that Courtney embarrassed her to The Crow.
- Meaningful Name: Corvidae is the taxonomy crows belong to.
- Small Role, Big Impact: As her character description states, despite physically dying almost immediately (and staying dead) her actions leave a huge impact on the cast and she's a frequent figure in dream sequences.

A clone of Emma created by Beloved who gets hijacked by Fresh Fries, but slowly develops her own personality.

- Double Agent: Pretends to be on the side of the Crow Crusaders but secretly conspires with the Crow, but her actual allegiance is to Fresh Fries.

Psyformes
Beings made of Psy who are involved in Ynce Iche.
An alternate dimension containing a mysterious power that many seek to control, it also manifests as large red creature. Technically described as "not really a "character" but more of a FORCE or PSYCHIC INSTANCE."

- Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence: Implied to be related to this for psyformes, but it's never made clear how
- Birdcaged: Vein captures it in some sort of glass pyramid that allows him to exploit its powers
- Brown Note: People looking at it become transfixed and begin to bleed out of their nose in addition to, um, other side effects.
- Characterization Marches On: It appears in Microwave Planet as an aggressive, predatory force that goes after a few characters physically, but it's portrayed far more passive in Crow Cillers.
- Genius Loci: The creature itself IS Ynce Iche, but it's also inside Ynce Iche. The characters are just as confused.
- Horror Hunger: Ynce Iche itself seems to attract and "prey on" emotionally troubled individuals for unknown reasons relating to psy.
- Living MacGuffin / MacGuffin Location: Much of the comic's plot is driven by antagonists seeking Ynce Iche to control its powers.

- The Power of Apathy: It haunts characters who are being swallowed up by despair, though whether it feeds off of their pain or causes it is ambiguous.
- Spooky Painting: Subverted, it only manifests as a painting so people have somewhere to look. Emma is able to shred the painting and it has no impact.

A collection of inhabitants of a meta realm outside the canon of the main cast, they often get up to wacky hijinks.
Gatomon and Meowth, but they're wearing dresses.

The star of one of Crow Ciller's subcomics, As Told By Crittler is a young girl who is always seen seated in her room, writing in her diary about her crazy misadventures. Office Crittler is her father.

The New Breed/The Next Generation
The new cast of characters introduced in Season 8
De facto leader of the new generation of Crow Cillers- the main character and she knows it. Lacks the obsessive tv trivia of her predecessor Emma, but finds herself driven to investigate the mystery of Ynce Iche all the same.

- Justified Criminal: When Margot exposes him for having a "history of violence" but given the circumstances (see below) no one blames him.
