    Angel, Cherri and Fat Nuggets

Alastor's Villainous Breakdown will result in either Angel Dust being redeemed or Angel Dust's Too Kinky to Torture tendencies breaking him.
Alternatively, it won't cause a breakdown so much as a BSOD (heroic or otherwise), simply because it will force him to realize that he was WRONG. That his entire raison d'etere and perspective were based on a mistake, making him understand that his longstanding beliefs simply don't mesh with reality.

Angel Dust hates the All Gays are Promiscuous trope.
Angel finds being called a slut nothing more than an uncreative insult, but saying he's a slut because he's gay is his Berserk Button.

Angel Dust was originally meant to be Al Capone
Of course, he underwent significant changes as the concept was developed further. But some similarities remain: both were gangsters who died in 1947, both have some kind of disfigurement on the left side of their face, and both are known for using Tommy guns.

Angel Dust will go up against IMP at some point
The reason? Angel likes kids, and IMP openly advertises that they kill children for free. Whether other characters will end up joining him remains to be seen.

Angel had a lover when he was alive
However, said lover ended up going to heaven after his death. This might explain why "ADDICT" starts with him singing "Till death do us part/but we're already past that phase".

Angel Dust's redemption will be at least partly caused by him getting a boyfriend
Viv has confirmed he'll get one at some point, after all, and it would be fitting if his boyfriend helped him to become a better person.

Angel Dust and Cherry Bomb knew each other while they were alive
Some shots in the "ADDICT" video seem to imply this.

Valentino will eventually come into direct conflict with the Hotel over Angel Dust
From both the "ADDICT" music video and the prequel comic, Valentino comes off as quite possessive over Angel and will most likely not take kindly to Charlie hosting Angel and cutting into his profits. Angel will then be forced to confront his literal and metaphorical addictions and either take a step towards redemption by cutting ties with Valentino or briefly abandoning the Hotel at Valentino's behest.

Angel Dust will eventually deal with Valentino once and for all
And he'll do this by locking him out of his own porn studio during an extermination.

In conjunction with a lot of the above, Angel joined up with the Hotel specifically to get away from Valentino
The comic and "ADDICT" certainly seem to imply this. In a twist on the usual "Liar Revealed" formula, Valentino getting involved in the plot will lead to Angel confessing that he neither wanted redemption nor a free room, he joined the Hotel to escape from his abuser. Instead of condemning him, Charlie and even Vaggie will end up feeling sympathy for him (since, y'know, the lie was to escape his abuser) and do everything they can to make sure Valentino doesn't get him back. The others will likely help too, Husk, Niffty, Cherri and whoever else joins for obvious reasons, Alastor maybe for those reasons too, but probably mostly because he's not letting anyone take away his sources of entertainment.

Angel was the first person to OD on PCP
The drug was invented in 1926 and marketed as an anesthetic in the 50s. Maybe his family got their hands on it while it was still being tested and wanted to see how high you could get on it.

Angel Dust's overdose was no accident
Even while he was alive, he suffered from severe depression and self-loathing, and eventually couldn't take it anymore, so he decided to go out doing one of the things he loved best. This theory is supported by the fact that he was killed by PCP, which is known for being hard to overdose on, suggesting it may have been a deliberate effort.
  • Adding to this theory, Angel says specifically in "ADDICT" that he ended up comatose thanks to OD-ing. The real reason of his death is because his family cut him off from the machinery keeping him alive, that way validating the two explanations given by the authors on Angie's death.
    • Given it was the 40s, he probably wouldn't have lasted long after lapsing into a coma with or without anyone yanking his tubes.

Cherri Bomb and Angel Dust are half siblings
That one-eyed mystery figure in the "ADDICT" video is Angel's mob boss dad, who never had time for his illegitimate children. Not sure how well their past life timelines match up, but Angel's dad could've lived long enough to father both of them.

Valentino made a pact with Angel when the latter first came to Hell
It was to both keep his "family" safe and their deals safe. However, Valentino later turned on them and arranged for Angel's "brother" — who had a connection to Cherri at the time — to die. Now that Angel sees who Val truly is, he regrets his decisions and uses his addictions to forget everything Val does to him. He can't get out of it because of the deal he made in the beginning. So he feels trapped.

After learning about Angel's situation, Alastor will help him get away from Valentino's clutches
How much of his motivation for doing so is genuine sympathy for his plight and how much is him wanting to screw over one of Vox's allies remains to be seen at this point.

Cherri Bomb used to date Angel's brother
That's how she met Angel and they became friends.

The identity of the one-eyed mystery figure in the "ADDICT" video
  • Angel's brother.
  • One of Cherri's male relatives.
  • Cherri's ex-partner who either left her or died in an extermination.
  • Angel's ex who sold him out to Valentino.
  • An Egomaniac Hunter or Evil Poacher. He wears a hat decorated with crocodile teeth and has stitches around the corners of his mouth, which might be a reference to hunting trophies (to taxidermize an animal, you remove the organs, fill the skin with stuffing or a wire frame, and sew the openings closed). In life, he hunted for exotic animals in the Australian outback, and met his end by being eaten by a crocodile or shot by a park ranger.

Valentino doesn't just do what he does to Angel
There's no reason to believe his abuses would be limited to one person. Most sexual predators attack more than one target if not caught.
  • Considering he's been shown abusing Vox, I'd say this is confirmed.

The "ADDICT" video's ending depicts Cherri helping Angel escape from Valentino
Why else would they blow up his porn studio?
  • Adding to this, the destruction of Valentino's porn studio will leave him high and dry during the next extermination.

Cherri Bomb is a crime leader specifically to piss off Valentino
Bomb Throwing Anarchist that she is, Cherri doesn't seem like the type to want to rule over Hell like Sir Pentious, but she still competes for territory when the opportunity comes. As we see in "ADDICT", Cherri deeply cares about Angel and, consequentially, has it out for Valentino. The reason she's staking a claim to what's hers is specifically to deny Valentino anything he might want. As a Lord of Hell, he has his claws in a lot of industry, so Cherri would want to keep it away from him, even if it means running the show herself.

Angel's future boyfriend will help save him from Valentino
Because why not? Hell, he might end up saving him before they get together.

Cherri was in a deeply toxic relationship while she was alive
This would help to explain why she's so understanding of what Angel's going through: she's experienced something very similar personally.

Angel's reaction to Charlie touching him in "ADDICT" has a strong reason behind it
Either he's going through withdrawal at the time, or he's lashing out due to his trauma.

Angel Dust and Valentino knew of or at least heard of each other in life
They likely heard of each other due to their respective connections.

Fat Nuggets is in Hell for eating a human
I mean what else could a pig do that could be considered a sin?
  • Perhaps Fat Nuggets was one of the means through which Angel's family disposed of people they don't like, and was Angel's pet in life too.

Alternatively, Fat Nuggets was always a demon
There are Hellhounds, so why not Hellpigs?

Angel Dust fought in World War II
He would've been the right age to get drafted and is a very good fighter, so it seems pretty likely.
  • Would make sense, given the timeframe. In addition, in ep. 8, he pulls out what appear to be a M3 Grease Gun and a MP 38, both weapons that could be encountered by a G.I. fighting in Europe.

Angel will actually manage to redeem himself and be offered the chance to go to heaven, but decline
In a true testament to how he's changed outside of just redemption, he'll decide to remain in Hell, but as an employee of the Hotel, if only so he won't have to say goodbye to the people who convinced him there was still hope for him and saved him from Val.

Angel and Cherri’s ironic friendships
As the series goes on, Angel will start to develop a genuine bond with Charlie, almost considering her a sister surrogate, especially if Charlie decides to step in and save him from Valentino’s abuse. However, he’ll still give Vaggie a hard time. Meanwhile, Cherri won’t think much of Charlie because of the latter’s soft and straight-laced personality, but will become friends with Vaggie, taking a liking to her more feisty and assertive attitude. This creates a funny and more interesting dynamic between the general cast, since each duo will be met with some contrasting loyalties.

Angel has Klinefelter Syndrome.
His chest is shaped a bit too much like female breasts to just look like puffy chest fur, so it might in fact be breasts. Klinefelter Syndrome also tends to make affected people grow very tall with long arms and legs, so...

Valentino's contract is keeping Angel in Hell.
Despite the vague criteria for getting into Heaven, Angel has proven to be a good person deserving of salvation. However, the Magically-Binding Contract (which he signed his real name on) has his soul in Valentino's pocket, marking him as "property" of Hell. Were the contract to be rendered void, Angel would be given the option to ascend.

Cherri's real name is...
...Sherry, Sheryl, Cheryl, or a name along those lines.

The Sex-x-xy Award that Angel won for his interrogation porn movie is a trophy shaped like a giant golden dildo
Well, what else would it be?

Angel will escape his contract when it's revealed that said contract was never valid to begin with
I was inspired by a comic I saw of Stolas going over Angel's contract; basically, someone will look over Angel and Val's contract and point out that something about it (likely Angel only signing his first name and not his full name) rendered it void, and Valentino knew this but lied to cover it up. Angel, furious that he went through all that abuse for nothing, will confront and possibly kill Valentino for it right there, no longer listening to any shows of intimidation or emotional abuse now that he knows Val never had any real power over him to begin with.

Cherri Bomb and the last Egg Boi will team up
This one is also inspired by a comic — now that Sir Pentious is gone, the last Egg Boi will look to his old boss' rival-turned-love interest as his new boss, and Cherri will accept him as a sort of "adoptive" form of Someone to Remember Him By.

Lucifer, Lilith and Charlie family relationship
Lilith (Charlie's mother) isn't Lucifer's only wife.
While Charlie's father is officially Lucifer, he shares a few traits in common with Samael. Samael is believed to be the one who tempted Eve with the forbidden fruit (note Lucifer's apple motifs) and is the husband of Lilith. However, Samael had about four consorts - Lilith, Naamah, Eisheth Zenunim and Agrat bat Mahlat. We've already seen Lilith (albeit not in person), so maybe the other three will show up too. note

Charlie's ex-boyfriend is Helsa's brother.
If you look closely in the background during Alastor's introductory scene and when Vaggie confronts him, you can see two pictures in the backdrop: one of the Magne family standing alongside the Von Eldritch family and a picture of a demon who looks a lot like the father hugging a younger Charlie. In the same shot when Vaggie is about to put the spear up to Alastor's throat, you can see that Helsa isn't an only child, as there's a demon standing next to her in the double family portrait opposite of her parents. This may explain why Helsa and Charlie are at odds with one another despite Charlie's personality; they were friends when they were younger, but whatever led to Charlie and Helsa's brother breaking up created a rift between the girls.

Helsa will develop a crush on Vaggie
It would be an interesting thing to happen as despite her antagonistic nature, she does have a genuine crush perhaps more so for Vaggie. Also, Helsa is an expy of Regina George who had a crush on the same person as the protagonist. Also, it be interesting to see Charlie be jealous.

Lilith, Charlie's mother, is dead/erased.
When she called her mom, she received a "did not connect" tone. It might be that Lilith is actually dead, and Charlie is using the phone calls much like how someone talks to a persons grave.

Charlie is not Lilith's daughter.
Charlie looks exactly like her father and has the Angelic personality that Lucifer rejected when he was in Heaven. Lilith is not confirmed to be a mortal soul, but unless she was born in Hell or is a fallen angel herself, she would be sterile seeing that she's in Hell. It's possible Charlie was made solely from Lucifer's essence since he's prideful enough to only want his image recreated and to mock other demons who cannot have their own children.

Lucifer will be opposed to the Hotel, but he will be Not Evil, Just Misunderstood
We get hints that Lucifer doesn't exactly have much respect for Charlie and her goals. But perhaps he isn't evil: just deeply, deeply cynical about the idea of redemption itself. Perhaps he, like others, has lost faith in humanity.
  • Another take on this, he isn't opposed to the idea of redemption but he's trying to spare Charlies feelings like he did when he shielded her from hells wickedness as a child. The problem is the Apocalypse is imminent and only a handful of select individuals are going to survive it with Charlie included. As much as failure will hurt her success followed by it being rendered meaningless as creation is wipedout and rebuilt with all her redeemed sinners souls getting mulched in the process would hurt a lot more.
  • Yet another take on this would be that as above, he isn't opposed to the idea of redemption but he's trying to spare Charlies feelings because he knows it won't work. Being a former resident of Heaven he knows that even if Charlie succeeds in redeeming someone Heaven won't ever accept it. As Lucifer knows from experience Heaven is just as bad as hell but with a veneer of goodness and a massive dose of hypocrisy.
  • Partially confirmed by "Dad Beat Dad", as he's very wary of the Hotel, but more for the fact that it could put his daughter in Heaven's crosshairs (and did, as of episode 6), and he also hinted that he attempted something similar himself before Charlie was born.

Lucifer will actively sabotage the Hotel, out of sheer hatred for the sinners, but will back down after Charlie Calls The Old Man Out

Not completely up to date on all the lore revealed by official podcast and what-all, but Lucifer as currently characterized keeps sinners confined to the Pride ring and helps Heaven - the place he was kicked out of - organize annual pogroms to wipe them out of existence. Because he hates sinners. Perhaps he shares that much with Alastor; they had their chance to be something incredible but they squandered that chance and now they're in Hell, a place run by a guy who didn't think they were all that in the first place, so getting to lord over them and prove just how much better he is than them. Why would he ever want to give that up?

So he goes behind Charlie's back and when she finds out that he was going behind her back to screw her patients over, she lectures him into oblivion, possibly even wags her finger sternly at him, followed by a duet and they reconcile, with Lucifer promising not to interfere again.

There's significant friction between Lilith and Charlie due to personality differences
There are some hints that Lilith was more actively involved in raising Charlie than Lucifer, since she's the one Charlie calls, and more pictures show Charlie with Lilith than with Lucifer. But there's also another interesting element to those pictures: Charlie and Lilith are usually shown in dresses with matching color schemes... but one of these pictures shows an older Charlie looking visibly uncomfortable. This seems to indicate that Charlie started to dislike having her clothes picked out for her by her mother, especially since she clearly prefers more masculine clothing. In other words, her fashion sense is more similar to her father's.
Moreover, it's implied that Charlie also inherited other aspects of her personality from Lucifer, such as her goofiness and her love of performing. This might've chafed at Lilith, seeing her daughter turn out like her husband even though she was the parent who invested far more time in her upbringing. Seems like this caused them to drift apart somewhat, or even have a falling out.

The Hotel used to be Charlie's family home
It seems likely that the Hotel was where Charlie grew up. Why else would there be family pictures all over the walls? Since Lucifer and Lilith are the rulers of the Pride ring, it seems likely that they would have bigger and grander places to live. Maybe they just decided to raise Charlie in one of their smaller, more out of the way properties because she would be less likely to see Exorcists there for whatever reason. It would explain why she thinks the hotel would be safe during exterminations.
Adding to this, the reason it's so dilapidated is because everyone moved out when Charlie became an adult. Lilith went back to touring Hell, and Lucifer went back to living in the halls of power he moved in. It would explain why Charlie called it the "Happy Hotel": it's the place where she was the happiest.

Lucifer's real name is Samael
Since his family name will be changed to Morningstar in the series proper like in Lucifer and its loose adaptation, his first name being Samael like it is there is a logical next step. In some religious accounts, Samael was the serpent of Eden and Lilith's spouse, just like Lucifer is here. It could also be part of why Lucy hates God, seeing as "Samael" means "Poison of God" in Hebrew, which is kind of a bad name to give someone and could imply Lucifer was always meant to be the bad guy in God's story.

In religious tradition, Samael was a tempter and accuser, not fallen, but meant to test and judge people under divine instruction. It could be that Lucifer in this 'verse acted as a tester for sentient species on planets God created, a unique role among his siblings. When it came to humanity, Lucifer found that humans were the most easily corruptible of all of God's created races, though he fell in love with Lilith. This, along with his trademark major ego, made him believe God was unfit to rule all creation by creating such flawed beings and the rest is history.

Heaven re-wrote the story to frame Lucifer as a monster who wanted to overthrow Heaven, as opposed to the ambitious dreamer he truly was in-universe.

The reason behind Lilith’s absence and her possible goal
In the opening narration of “Overture”, Charlie describes her parents as rebellious dreamers and states that after they were cast down into Hell, Lucifer lost his will to dream while Lilith thrived and went on to empower Hell and its denizens. We also know that Lucifer has seemingly decided to occupy his time and energy on frivolous projects and hobbies such as his theme park Lu Lu World from Helluva Boss’s “Loo Loo Land” and his rubber duck collection in “Dad Beat Dad”. Seeing him fall into this rut of depression was what probably led to her splitting from him as Lucifer was no longer the dreamer she fell in love with.

And during the seven-year absence, she somehow managed to get Alastor indebted to her, and in exchange for his freedom he needs to help her in her master plan of not only rallying all of Hell to rise up against Heaven but also to have said uprising be led by her alongside her family as a united front. And she plans to do this by way of getting Charlie to truly see and understand just how unjust and unfair Heaven’s system is and helping Lucifer get his drive back. Thus getting the rest of her family on her level, Lilith is already the queen Hell needs her to be, but now she needs her husband Lucifer to be the ruler the realm needs, and her daughter Charlie to be the future leader it deserves.

Lilith will be the Twist Villain and The Man Behind the Man.
Built on the above WMG for Lilith's absence, her recruitment of Alastor, how she thrived in Hell while Lucifer despaired, and other machinations behind the scenes, Lilith's ultimate goal is to instigate a war between Heaven and Hell for the express purpose of drawing the elder angels out of Heaven and down to Hell where Lilith can reach them. Once within range, Lilith intends to kill them all for having banished her and Lucifer to Hell and usurp all of creation.

Lucifer is on board with the killings
In the pilot, we see Charlie's silhouette go to a figure that represents Adam and Lute, only to be sad when she is turned down. She then goes to a figure that resembles Lucifer, only to have a Satan figure show up, and for both the Lucifer figure and Satan figure point towards where she had just come from. She gives a reluctant wave, and the camera pans over to an ongoing extermination. It could be possible that this could represent Lucifer and Satan forcing Charlie to be more lenient towards the killings. Lucifer also thinks sinners are "violent, destructive psychopaths, hellbent on causing as much pain and destruction as possible" and regrets having given them a chance. It could be possible he believes the exterminations are also for his own safety.

the Lilith at the end of season 1 isn’t Lilith
In that the “Lilith” that we’ve been told about (the one who empowered Hell and denizens, the mother that Charlie looked up to) wasn’t the real Lilith.

Let me explain, I think the opening narration in the 1st episode “Overture” was a lie, or at least a half truth. While Lilith and Lucifer did initially fall in love and have Charlie, after they were banished to Hell, they immediately drifted apart as they both lamented their exile. But Lilith struck some sort of deal with Heaven to allow her to ascend and ditched Charlie with Lucifer because she didn’t want the responsibility of raising a child.

After sometime, Eve passed away and ended up in Hell for committing the first sin of eating the fruit of knowledge, where she reunited with Lucifer and hit it off with him. However, to not rise suspicion (and to ensure that Charlie grew up happy and loved in a proper family unit) Eve took on the identity of Lilith and (being innately good) tried to bring Lucifer out of his depression and better the quality of living in Hell, this in turn inspires Charlie to be who she is now.

But wanting “Hell to be forever”, Heaven forced Eve to stop her endeavors and disappear from the public eye. This happened 7 years ago and that’s when Eve found Alastor, won custody of his soul, and forced him into the position that’s his in now, because she can’t be there for Charlie directly, but he can.

Another thing to also consider is that (aside from portraits) we have yet to see Lilith’s eyes, her face was obscured in the flashback during “more than anything”, we only saw silhouettes of her (and Eve) in “Overture”, and even during the final shot of the season finale she was wearing sunglasses. I feel like they’re saving that as a big reveal down the line.

Plus considering that Charlie is essentially a Disney Princess but in Hell, (if I’m right) this twist would be a fun reversal of typical Disney tropes. Where usually the birth parents are good and the step parent is bad, here the step parent would be the good one whereas it’s the biological parent that’s evil, with Alastor being a demonic rendition of a fairy godfather who may be the final villain at the end.

Lilith is some sort of immortal.
Sinners (human souls in Hell) are sterile and can never create life. Maybe the very first sinner is an exception to the rule, maybe having an angel father makes conception possible. However it could be that, while a resident of Hell, she never died. Having never eaten from the Tree of Knowledge Lilith never gained mortality the way Adam, Eve and their descendants did. Normally someone in that position wouldn't be in the afterlife, but as a) one of the most powerful and original human beings and b) wife to Lucifer himself, she's an exception to the rule. And since she never died, she's capable of bearing a child. This could also play into the deal of how she ended up in Heaven; her unique position lets her play under different rules in the afterlife.

Lilith and Adam didn't work because they were Too Much Alike
Adam wanted Lilith to submit to him, but she refused. Lilith and Lucifer's relationship was apparently loving, but Word Of God states that she's the one wearing the pants in the relationship. It could be that both Adam and Lilith wanted to be the dominant party in the relationship, but were unable to reconcile.

Lilith is force to stay in Heaven

Lilith finds out that Adam wanting to kill the hellborn demons including Charlie and Lucifer. Lilith begged Adam not to hurt him and made a deal: she stays in heaven as long Adam is alive and Adam along with the Excorists will just go after the sinners and leave the hellborns alone.

Lucifer is Uriel
There are only six Elders, though the Council of Angels is usually considered to come in groups of seven. It's possible Lucifer is a fallen Elder, and a common archangel is Archangel Uriel. Uriel means "God is my light", with Lucifer meaning "light bringer", and, according to the Book of Enoch, is "over Tartarus" (another name for Hell).

Lucifer's contact in Heaven is none other than Lilith.
In episode 5 Lucifer was somehow able to negotiate Charlie an audience with Heaven's council even though episode 6 made it clear that Sera, the High Seraphim was opposed to it. This makes one wonder how he was able to arrange the visit at all, considering that he is the ultimate persona non grata upstairs. It would make sense that there was somebody capable and willing to act on his behalf and force the issue in his place in Heaven, and it just so happens that his estranged wife happens to be dwelling there at the moment. It would make sense that even separated the two would keep some sort of contact with each other in case of emergencies and they both care about their daughters wellbeing. So, all this put together, it would make sense that Lilith would have been the one to negotiate the meeting, all the while keeping her identity a secret for the sake of whatever operation she is currently in the middle of.

Lucifer is child of at least one of Elders of Heaven
Given Hellaverse’s fondness for troubled parent-child relationships, making at least one of high ranking Angels who saw Lucifer as troublemaker and disapproved of his dreams his father or mother would fit and be interesting plot point to explore, especially if contrasted with his and Charlie’s relationship. Plus, it would be good substitute for classical Lucifer and God father-son relationship if God turns out to not exist as individual.

Giving humanity free will was Lilith's idea
When we meet Lucifer in his debut episode "Dad Beat Dad" he laments on all the misery that the gift of free will was abused by sinners, but according to his wording he said they were given free will, not that he gave them free will. This may contribute to his character trait as the sin of pride and how the mess was the sinner's fault for their own choices, but what if Lilith came up with the idea of instilling the freedom of choice to everyone? Word of God said that Lilith was the one who wore the pants in their relationship so this may make sense. After rejecting adam for being a controlling, dominating, and misogynistic asshole and her meeting Lucifer, it's likely that he told her of Heaven's strict standards and how they looked down on Lucifer for his ideas, making Lilith empathize with him for being rejected and oppressed because they both weren't and didn't want to be what others wanted them to be, with that likely part of the reason they fell for each other in the first place. So Lilith, inspired by lucifer's dreams and values, and possibly as a way to speak out to Heaven for making her the wife of a sexist and abusive dick, came up with the idea of sharing their independence with others, believing that no one should be restrained or controlled by others and letting them getting in the way of their own happiness, Lucifer agreed, but when they both gave Eve the fruit of knowledge, everything has Gone Horribly Wrong and allowed evil into their world, and heaven blaming Lucifer for the whole thing due to his reputation as a "troublemaker" and meddling in human affairs, banished them both to the realm of Hell that they unwittingly created. This broke Lucifer and made him lose his idealism from being forced to only see the worst of humanity and becoming universally vilified by everyone because of his decision, Lilith, remorseful of getting her love punished for her actions, decided to make a stand against heaven by inspiring the inhabitants of Hell with her beliefs so they can thrive, but as time past, Charlie was born, sinners have adapted a warped view of Lilith's ideology, Lucifer stopped becoming the dreamer she loved and Hell began to experience an Overpopulation Crisis, Adam proposed and enacted the first of many annual exterminations and Lilith had enough of Heaven hurting her and her husband and couldn't bear their child to be burdened by their mistakes. She realized that the only way things can change is if she can change Heaven's broken and unfair system from the inside, thus deciding to split up from her family and striking a deal with Adam so she could reside in Heaven so that Lilith can find a way to improve the lives of her subjects and loved ones in Hell.

Lilith abandoned Hell because she had her own Despair Event Horizon
For a more cynical alternative, Like Lucifer, Lilith might've given up on sinners too, but took it further by deciding to make a deal with Heaven to get away from them. It's probable that along with Lilith giving enlightenment toward Hell, she also tried helping her husband rehabilitate sinners, but the stress and lack of improvement took a toll on her, so eventually she decided that she couldn't take the Crapsack World of Hell anymore, so she split from Lucifer, reached out to Adam to make a deal to allow her into Heaven, but despite her giving up on her people she didn't have the heart to tell her daughter the truth, so she told Charlie that she's going on a business trip and will be gone for a while so that Charlie wouldn't be crushed by her mother's decision. It's also possible that the reason Lilith didn't reach out to Charlie or returned her calls wasn't because she was busy or neglecting her, but because Lilith couldn't bare to have Charlie being heartbroken for leaving for, admittedly, selfish reasons and lying to her for years.

Lucifer named his theme park Lulu World after an Affectionate Nickname Lilith gave him; Lulu or simply Lu (or alternatively Lou).

Lucifer and Archangel Michael are identical twins.
They were nigh indistinguishable until the Fall caused a Twin Desynch. Lucifer now has a red color scheme and fangs while Michael retains the Heavenly Blue color scheme and perfect teeth he and his brother used to share.

Lilith will turn out to be Hell's version of Adam.
As another WMG suggested, Lilith might have rejected Adam because they are too much alike. This makes even more sense if you consider that they broke up BEFORE anyone ate the apple (and Adam said he never made a mistake in his life, implying HE never ate the Apple.), leading to the possibility that both Lilith and Adam only acted in their own interest, with Lilith only leaving because SHE wanted to control HIM . Add onto that, that we never even got a mention or implication of LILITH eating the Apple, which would mean she can also not tell right from wrong to this day. This would lead to the conclusion that Lilith in hell, is exactly like Adam in heaven and Charlie will have to realize that her mother and Adam were/are in fact "equals".

    Vaggie
Vaggie isn’t in hell for prostitution but for killing her clientele.
Vaggie is a lesbian who hates touching men, not exactly a winning job stance considering she was a prostitute. If you consider that along with the regular amounts of abuse and social stigmatization prostitutes face Vaggie probably got indirectly forced into the role via abuse or destitution. Eventually she snapped and started killing her clients: even the ones who only accepted her offers.

Vaggie is an undercover angel.
1. She has one of her eyes crossed out, much like the Exorcists.

2. She supports Charlie's idea of redeeming demons and makes it clear that she's against sinning. For example, Charlie didn't seem to care as much as Vaggie did about an alcohol serving bar in a place where demons are supposed to get rid of their sinful habits.

3. The spear she points at Alastor has a similar design to the angel weapons used to kill Hell's inhabitants.

4. Despite being in Hell for less time than Angel Dust, she seems to know an awful lot about Alastor.

5. Compared to other demons, she retains a lot of human traits.

6. Unlike a lot of people in Hell, she's actually a pretty decent person, even if she's somewhat grumpy and short-tempered. She is a loyal girlfriend to Charlie, supporting Charlie's idea even when it seems like it won't go anywhere and is firmly against a lot of the actions committed by other demons, such as heavy drinking and turf wars. Unless simply being a prostitute automatically grants you a ticket to Hell, it's highly unlikely someone like her would end up living among unrepentant Jerkasses and low-life criminals. At the very least she would have been given a chance to redeem herself so she could get sent to Heaven.

Perhaps Vaggie was sent by Heaven to help Charlie in finding redemption for demons. The idea of an angel and a demon having a romantic relationship could also be a neat plot point.

7: This gains some support in "Scrambled Eggs", where she refers to the demons as "Charlie's" people, and acts as a Drill Sergeant Nasty, citing her own experiences, to try and get the Hotel group become Fire-Forged Friends through combat.

Confirmed! Vaggie was one of the Exorcists, and when she refused to kill a demon child, she got her wings ripped off and her left eye speared.

Vaggie is technically an angel but isn't allowed back in heaven.
So in life Vaggie was a prostitute, which is a sin, but otherwise was good enough to get into Heaven. Unfortunately, many high-ranking members of the Angelic Host are a little bit on the "no sinners ever" side and don't approve of people like Vaggie getting into heaven despite the Big Man's approval so they treated her and everyone else who was a sinner but good enough to get through the pearly gates like garbage. Vaggie didn't take kindly to being a pariah yet again and was a vocal critic of heavenly hypocrisy to the point that even the other human based angels wouldn't interact with her. The Angelic Host gave her a task with the promise that they'd take her in as one of their own, all she had to do was assassinate the princess of Hell. Well one thing lead to another and Vaggie got caught up in the purge only for Charlie to offer her safety. Being that she couldn't bring herself to kill the one decent person in Hell, Vaggie got left behind and effectively banished so now she's supporting Charlie as a way to prove the Angelic Host wrong.

Vaggie will be a special type of mortal soul demon
A special type that were nearly close to being in heaven but not because of not forgoing their sin (i.e., presumably Vaggie's prostitution) when she was still alive. And their are other hints to this: First, while there have been other characters with a "x" in their eye (i.e., Cherri Bomb) but Vaggie's "x" eye is in a similar style to the Exorcists; she's the most humanoid looking of the mortal souls and is one of the few good-hearted if gruff individuals; her Animal Motif is a moth, a species most known to be drawn to the light; also unlike most of the main cast who have a selfish reason for joining Charlie's redemption crusade (sans Charlie of course), Vaggie's reason is notably selfless — she wants to support Charlie.

Vaggie secretly doesn't want to go to Heaven
Most viewers noticed that, aside from her temper, Vaggie really isn't that bad of a person. Why hasn't she been able to redeem herself? Because she doesn't actually want to. She finally has everything she wants in Hell: a loving girlfriend, a stable life, etc. She hasn't told Charlie out of fear that it would both crush her and destroy her relationship with Charlie.

Charlie and Vaggie have an open relationship
In fact, Charlie parted ways with her previous S.O. because they made it clear they wanted to be exclusive.

Charlie will enter her true demon form after Vaggie gets hurt in some way
Vaggie has already shown shades of being a Violently Protective Girlfriend, so why not flip the script?

We will get an episode detailing how Charlie and Vaggie met and fell in love
Because it is traditional.
  • Not an entire episode, but "Welcome to Heaven" does show the moment they met.

The Hotel won't work and Vaggie is proof if it
Vaggie seems like a good person, and Charlie definitely would have some way to tell if Vaggie was lying, but she hasn't ascended. If someone like her can't than who could?
  • Maybe Vaggie is a decent person, but it takes more than that to ascend. Maybe it takes sincere repentance and recognizance of one's own sins, which Vaggie hasn't done (rationalizing her misdeeds as "doing what she had to" or "making people pay for what they were doing", for example)

Vaggie was either a She-woman Man Hater in life, or a woman who went into prostitution out of financial desperation
Both these ideas are based on Angel Dust's "Do you trust any man? any men? men?" line. Either way, it's clear from that dialogue that she Does Not Like Men, the difference is in how one interprets the line.

1) In the first interpretation, she Does Not Like Men due to simply being a straight-up sexist (her sexual orientation is not likely to be connected), and if true this would likely be why she is in Hell in the first place.

2) In the second interpretation, she was, like countless other women throughout history, forced into prostitution by financial desperation, receiving all the normal trauma that comes with this trope which doubtlessly would be made even worse by her not even being attracted to her doubtlessly-mostly-male (by simple virtue of probability) clients. If this were the case, she Does Not Like Men due to associating that sex with all her trauma. If this were true, then while it would leave unexplained her actual damnation (who knows? maybe she did something unrelated to her prostitution, like torturing small animals for fun), it would explain why she gets visibly very angry whenever a man touches her, and it would open the possibility for her character to serve as a potential Foil to Angel Dust: They are both homosexual and prostitutes, but whereas she is a woman attracted to women, he is a man attracted to men. And whereas she became a prostitute out of financial desperation, he did it simply because he's just that promiscuous. Whereas he is sufficiently greedy for the allure of payment to be stronger than the Squick factor of having sex with someone of the sex you're not attracted to, she, well, isn't.

  • As an alternative reason for her condemnation, she may have killed people in life (maybe for decent reasons, but murder is murder)

Come to think of it, these possibilities aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. Her hatred of men could potentially have started out as resulting form PTSD and then form there festered into full-blown bigotry.

Vaggie was sexually abused while she was alive
She was a prostitute in El Salvador, so it's not too hard to imagine. This is part of why she's so protective of Charlie.

It might help her reconcile with Angel Dust as well. Maybe in a moment of anger, Angel lets something about Valentino's mistreatment of him slip, and storms off. Then Vaggie goes to him and opens up about the dark spots in her own past, leading them to connect and start being more understanding and civil towards one another.

Only Charlie can call Vaggie by that name.
The others get smacked if they try.

Vaggie is Lilith's agent.
The same way Lucifer sent Razzle and Dazzle to protect Charlie, Lilith sent Vaggie. Razzle and Dazzle can't talk and prevent Charlie from doing anything stupid so they are there to get her out of any mess she gets herself into. Vaggie can talk and is there as a more subtle form of control and her purpose is to prevent Charlie from getting into messes in the first place.

Like a moth to a flame.
It is no coincidence that Vaggie, a moth demon, ended up in a relationship with someone who can summon hellfire. At least one episode will explore how much Vaggie puts herself in harm's way for Charlie, with the latter either being oblivious to the fact or desperately advocating caution. It is also likely that, the first time Charlie assumes her full devil form, she will accidentally hurt Vaggie and have a I Am a Monster moment.

Charlie and Vaggie have amazing sex.
This will be evident when Vaggie acts surprisingly chipper, despite the hotel's patron's shenanigans. Angel will be the first to realize that Charlie and her had sex.

Vaggie has met Valentino and it's the reason she and Angel don't get along
When Vaggie first landed in Hell, Valentino took notice of her and her life on the surface and tried to rope her into working for him. Vaggie, however, having had enough of people like him in life, told him to shove it and she later ended up with Charlie. Angel teases her constantly because he hates the fact that she had the courage to do what he wishes he could have.

Vaggie, like Valentino, has an extra pair of arms
She just keeps them concealed when she's not using them.

Vaggie only came out after she died
She may not have been comfortable with her sexuality while she was alive, or even aware of it.

Vaggie is a sinner sent to Limbo
Limbo is noted to be at the borderlands of Hell, meaning those sent there likely only barely qualified to be damned to Hell, and as stated in the other theories above, Vaggie seems to be a fairly decent person for someone in Hell. Not only that, it might also be revealed that Vaggie's color scheme of mostly grey will actually be typical for residents sent to Limbo.

Charlie and Vaggie had their first date at Lu Lu World
Seems like an obvious place for them to go on a romantic outing.

Vaggie learned how to fight in Hell
In life, she was constantly at the mercy of more powerful people, and when she died, she decided she wouldn't let that happen again in Hell.

Vaggie was initially interested in Charlie for what she could provide her
Considering her backstory, it would make sense for her to fall in with the most powerful person she could find so she wouldn't be forced to go back to her old lifestyle. She came to genuinely love Charlie as a person, of course.

Vaggie was forced into prostitution by her father
She came from an impoverished family, since El Salvador has extremely high poverty rates. Her mother died at some point, forcing her to take on a maternal role for her siblings.
To earn money for the family, Vaggie's father forced her to sell her body, possibly initially starting with the pretense of getting her a more legitimate job. Obviously, the kind of man who'd do that to his own daughter is hardly ideal parent material, so Vaggie was forced to adopt an aggressive attitude to keep her siblings safe from him.
One night, for one reason or another, they had a massive physical fight. During the fight, Vaggie tried to kill her dad, and possibly succeeded, and he stabbed or shot her in the eye, killing her. Since her final acts were of a violent nature and she never sought redemption, she was sent to Hell.
This would explain why she has such a bad temper, why she's so protective of Charlie, why she distrusts men, and why she's in Hell despite not seeming like a bad enough person to deserve it.

Vaggie used to be even angrier when she was alive
That's why she's in Hell. She's gotten calmer since meeting Charlie, but she hasn't fully moved past her wrathful nature, nor has she acknowledged what's wrong with it or sought redemption, which is why she hasn't gone to Heaven yet.

Vaggie will have a Secret Test of Character that ends with her betraying Charlie
Vaggie seems the most likely candidate to be redeemed, but Charlie is ironically her biggest roadblock because to go to Heaven, since being redeemed means Vaggie will have to leave Charlie behind. At some point in the series, Vaggie will be the first demon offered a chance to go to Heaven, which she will reject and try to hide the truth from everyone. Charlie finds out and is devastated, since Vaggie rejected redemption and robbed the hotel of much-needed credibility and pissed off the angels, possibly shutting down the possibility of them offering redemption to a demon again. Charlie then dumps Vaggie for betraying her trust, forcing Vaggie to leave the hotel in shame and decide whether to try earning back Charlie's trust or to move on and never return.

Vaggie will decline a place in Heaven in favor of spending eternity with Charlie
Because Vaggie will think that a rest in peace without Charlie is empty. So she declines by telling both Heaven and Charlie that she is all the heaven she needs.

There will be flashbacks showing how Charlie and Vaggie met
Including how their relationship started.
  • Confirmed! Episode 6 shows us how they met.

Vaggie is a Deserter from the Exorcists - Charlie doesn't know
Musical storytelling is not to mix unconnected ideas. Whatever It Takes has both Carmilla and Vaggie singing - and Carmilla's side is specifically talking about keeping secrets.
  • In a way, confirmed. Vaggie was kicked out of the Exorcists for sparing a demon child and Charlie did indeed not know.

Charlie fell in love with Vaggie after hearing her sing
Charlie loves singing, so it makes sense that a little Duet Bonding turned an interest in Vaggie into love. Plus, if Vaggie truly is an angel in disguise, an angelic voice would be heavy foreshadowing.

Vaggie is a fallen angel who fell after rejecting Adam
Considering that Adam has been shown to pretty much be the embodiment of toxic masculinity, he may have attempted to force himself on Vaggie, only for her to reject him and fight him off. Adam, pissed that there was a woman he couldn't control, cooked up some bullshit excuse to get Vaggie thrown out of Heaven in response.

Vaggie is Carmilla's daughter
Carmilla and Vaggie share an identical color scheme, both of them speak Spanish, they have a duet together (it would make more sense for the two to have a personal connection, rather than being two entirely unrelated parties), and Vaggie was seemingly involved in the military at some point, while Carmilla is a weapons dealer.
  • Building up on this, Carmilla’s reluctance to go to war and her protectiveness over Odette and Clara might’ve been a result of her losing Vaggie while they were still alive. She already lost one daughter, she won’t risk losing her remaining ones.

Vaggie is both a...
...dead soul and an Exorcist, reconciling the two backstories. She died and managed to get into Heaven and become an Exorcist.

Vaggie has scars all over her back
Getting your wings ripped off would no doubt hurt. It could provide a moment of reaffirming trust if Vaggie, knowing that Charlie is still unsure about trusting her due to her being a fallen angel, shows her the scars, possibly even letting her touch them.

Vaggie can enter the other rings
She is a fallen angel rather than a sinner, so there is no reason for her not to be able to leave the Pride ring.

In Season 2, Vaggie will change her name.
As a symbolic way of getting rid of her last connection to Adam.

Vaggie will meet the sinner boy she spared
If only because it would be a cute moment where Vaggie is reminded she did a good thing and doesn't regret what she did.
  • While the interaction is never shown, the fact that Vaggie trained the Cannibal Town residents in combat between episodes 7 and 8 means it's likely she did encounter that boy again.

Vaggie was a nun when she was alive.
She grew up in a convent run orphanage in El Salvador and had the name Virginia. (Pronounced beer-HEE-nya) Virginia always had a "meh" attitude towards men that she felt would be in her favor when she took her vows. Whenever she felt attraction to women, she would tell herself it was more of an admiration bordering on envy, do her penance and move on. When bandits attacked the orphanage, Sor Virginia grabbed a giant cross and tried to fight them off to give everyone else time to run for cover. She died, but not before the bandits had a little fun with her, explaining why she now finds men repulsive. Her heroic act got her not only a place in Heaven, but an offer to join the Heavenly Host. Adam couldn't be bothered to pronounce her name right, so he just called her Vagina or Vaggie for short.

Vaggie's original story is partially true
Vaggie's original origin was she was a Salvadoran prostitute who died in the 1980s, later retconed to 2014. Not taking the date of death into account, this could still be true. For example, her death could've noble enough to get her into Heaven despite her profession. Growing up rough, her fighting skills brought her to Adam's attention, who renamed her and brought her into the Exorcists. Since we know nothing about the Exorcists, this is entirely plausible.

    Katie Killjoy and Tom Trench

Katie Killjoy is not all that she is
Katie Killjoy may be working at Hell’s number 1 news station, but that doesn’t means that she owns it. Her saying that she’s “too rich” sounds like a total lie because there’s no way she could be richer than Charlie. Even when she went to her final demon, she didn’t even looked that strong because of how Charlie was able to fight back without having to transform herself. Also it doesn’t matter if she’s rich, popular, or even a scary final demon form; at the end of the day, she’s just a common news reporter and Charlie will still have a higher society status than her.

Katie secretly has a thing for Tom
Whether or not she's consciously aware of it is unclear, but she does pour hot coffee in his lap when he implies he wants to have sex with Cherri Bomb.

A ruthless, mean-spirited reporter claims she holds to "standards" by not "[touching] the gays". Immediately thereafter, she tries to intimidate Charlie by poking her in the chest. A lot.
  • It's possible she meant it not in a literal sense but more of a "I don't work with gay people or dignify their existence by treating them with professionalism and respect", and she's totally willing to sexually harass Charlie in an attempt to scare and belittle her.

Katie’s keeping her past life a secret
According to her actual profile, Katie was a FAILED ruthless news reporter. She probably doesn’t want anybody to know that she technically died as a failure in life. Once you think about it, so far the characters had some fame to their past life: Husk fought in Vietnam, Alastor was a radio host and serial killer, Angel and his family is in a mafia, even Sir Pentious was an inventor. If people found out about Katie’s past, it would destroy her reputation and life which she sees it’s worse than death.

Katie's reason for being a major character
Base on the official character and poster Vivziepop made, Katie Killjoy is most likely is a major character on the show. Her reason could be because the fight she had with Charlie on her actually ended up ruining Katie’s reputation and making her a laughingstock. Given how Charlie was able to fight back against Katie when she turned into her final demon form, demons would no longer take Katie's various threats seriously or be afraid of her because of how Charlie was able kick her ass without needing to transform herself, so she's now seen as a paper tigress. Due to this, Katie will try everything she can to make sure to make Charlie and the hotel look stupid.

Tom will stand up to Katie thanks to Charlie
Later on in the series, Charlie would convince Tom and even the other news station not to listen to Katie anymore. She would point out that Katie is not even an overlord or have strong powers to be feared and bullied by. Charlie would say how even though Katie ruthless mock her Hotel, at least she didn’t listen to her and actually thinks for herself instead of acting like Katie’s mindless zombie. Tom and the other news station would realize that Charlie is right and won’t listen to Katie anymore.

Katie Killjoy doesn't mind being called a bitch, she's just super protective of that pen
No reason, just something to add to the humor. Alternatively, there's a reason "Do not take shit from other demons." Is a first rule Lucifer taught Charlie and she broke it by taking Katie's pen.

Katie Killjoy is a Black Widow.
As much of a rude and homophobic Jerkass she is, it probably shouldn't be enough to send her to Hell. Something to note is that she has an insect theme in her One-Winged Angel form. Perhaps it's praying mantis/spider themed, giving us an idea of why she was really sent to Hell; she killed her husband. Her Neck Snap either refers to her method of death (possibly hanging herself to avoid going to prison when the truth came out or a big fall when trying to hide a body) or how she killed her husband.

Tom Trench was a normal person in life, just with one major sin.
Compared to the colorful and verbose characters in the pilot Tom Trench comes off as relatively mundane and the only vice he seems to have is being perverted. The only reason Tom Trench is in Hell is, like Ms Mayberry, one major sin damned him. Based off his name and gas mask, Tom was your average WW1 soldier, and he was just one of many who in the heat of the moment committed a war crime like shooting an unarmed civilian or a surrendering soldier. The Karmic Transformation was the gas mask becoming his face as an eternal reminder of that action. Otherwise, he was your average joe in life, so he's your average joe in death. Whether he went on to become a reporter on Earth or achieved that job in Hell is yet to be seen.

Katie Killjoy is Bryce Tankthrust.
They're both evil, demonic, homophobic blond rich people played by Brandon Rogers. Brandon even uses the exact cadence he uses for Bryce when voicing Katie.

Katie Killjoy's new voice was caused by her fight with Charlie.
Charlie has fire powers, and unlike her co-host Katie doesn't have a gas mask to protect her from smoke inhalation.

    Niffty and Husk
Vaggie accidentally told Husk she's an exorcist while drunk, but Husk decided to keep the secret
In Episode 4, Husk tells Angel he knows everybody's secret after they got too drunk to keep it together, while Vaggie is one of those who got drunk enough to let a secret of hers slip, she may have also told Husk she's a former-exorcist or it IS the secret she let slip, but chose not to exposer her, knowing it would have huge consequences on the hotel, everyone involved and her relationship with Charlie. When everyone else found out Vaggie used to be an exorcist, Husk didn't tell anyone he knew long before anyone else to avoid any comments on why he never told anyone, not wanting the situation to get any worse.

Niffty loves men...
To the point she becomes a yandere for whatever unlucky bastard becomes the target of her affections.
  • Confirmed, as she's currently the only character in the main Hotel gang to be confirmed straight and she's shown creepy behavior towards Lucifer in "Dad Beat Dad".
Niffty was damned for Stalking and/or Pepe-Le-Pew-type sexual harassment.
  • The Instant she's summoned, she is pretty fixated on the (seeming) absence of any men in the room...

Niffty is a Female Misogynist who believes in Stay in the Kitchen-type ideals.
Perhaps as a Foil to Vaggie. She seemed confused and upset when she thought the Hotel didn’t have any men, and said the place needed a "lady’s touch". She’s also dressed in 50s clothing, a time which is infamous for that sort of thing.
  • Alternatively, she was a feminist, and was damned because, in the 1950s, God believed women having ideas was a sin grave enough to warrant damning her. He's since changed his views on women, but Nifty can't go to Heaven because of a convoluted grandfather clause.

Niffty won't understand Charlie and Vaggie are dating and Angel Dust is a gay male.
In her mind Charlie and Vaggie are close friends and Angel is a woman.

Niffty was also a Serial Killer in life
It would help explain why she gets along so well with Alastor, and why she's such a Neat Freak. Killing is a messy business, so she'd obsessively clean her house to make sure nobody noticed any signs of what she was doing in private. This obsessive cleaning eventually became a force of habit that followed her to Hell.

Angel and Husk's interactions will end up being deconstructed somewhere along the line
Angel being a patron for rehabilitation at the Hazbin Hotel will likely result in his Abhorrent Admirer interactions with Husker slowly evolving from just screwball comedy to something deeper, and this may lead to Angel undergoing a more genuine change for the better. Whether or not Husk ends up reciprocating is up in the air, but in keeping with the "deconstruction" angle, he'll likely end up being a case of Incompatible Orientation.
  • Given that Faustisse states that Husk is pansexual, there is a strong possibility that he could return Angel's feelings.

The two humans who appear in "Alastor's Game" are Husk and Niffty in life
And the song is an explanation of how they came to work for him... at least in the universe of the non-canon song.

Husk is an overlord
A silhouette bearing an uncanny resemblance to him is shown behind Alastor during Vaggie's monologue about the Radio Demon. This could mean that Husk works with/for Alastor so much that the denizens of Hell associate them with each other. On the other hand, there's also another possible interpretation: that he's also an overlord.
While Husk doesn't seem particularly interested in asserting his dominance — at least judging by his interactions with the other characters — he's not at all intimidated by Alastor and has no problem chewing him out. Husk touches and even outright shoves Alastor without consequence, whereas Vaggie pointing a spear at Alastor got an almost immediate hostile reaction. While it's doubtful that someone like Alastor would tolerate that kind of treatment from somebody with less status or power, he'd probably accept it from a peer. Significantly, Alastor also has to bribe him into taking a job at the hotel, rather than simply ordering him to do so.
This could also tie in to the "overlords are associated with some form of media or entertainment" theory discussed elsewhere. Husk might be associated with gambling, since he's shown to be very good at it, and some official art seems to imply that he has powers derived from it. Not to mention the "Jackpot Hotel" seen in the background, which doubles as a casino, has a picture of a cat wearing a top hat on one side.
  • Partly confirmed. Husk was an overlord, but he lost everything due to his gambling addiction and some desperate deals with Alastor.

Niffty and Husk are bound to Alastor by deals with him
In one of the scenes explaining Alastor's backstory, we see him, Niffty and Husk all shining with the same red aura. This may imply that they're "linked" on some fundamental level, and since Alastor has a reputation as a dealmaker, it would make sense for that to be it.
  • He did say he was going to "call in a few favors" before summoning them.
    • Confirmed on Husk's part.

Adding to the above, Husk ended up bound to Alastor because he gambled his soul away to him
Seems like the likeliest explanation—Husk has a gambling addiction, it only seems fitting that losing a game to Alastor is what led to him being stuck in his service.
  • Confirmed, sort of; it's not stated he gambled away his soul to Alastor, but he gambled away everything he had and made a deal with Alastor to try and get out of debt.

Husk loved somebody and lost them for one reason or another
And he took it very poorly, hence the line "I lost the ability to love years ago".

Husk's new form is a mockery of his suppressed desires from when he was alive
The forms sinners take in Hell are reflective of someone's issues in life. Husk grew up in a casino and liked magic shows. Maybe he wanted to become a magician when he was a kid, but life crushed his innocence, idealism, and dreams. So he used his sleight of hand talents to become a grifter. The hat he wears is stereotypically associated with magicians, and his wings resemble a magician's cape. Not to mention the environment he grew up in would've dissuaded him from showing any vulnerability, so his demon form is mocking his suppressed feelings too. He has heart paw pads... his punishment is to literally wear a heart on his sleeve.

Niffty was Japanese-American
She can apparently speak fluent Japanese, after all.

Husk didn't make a deal with Alastor, and that's the exact reason Alastor likes him.
Alastor probably saw Husk as the perfect target for a deal - he's a gambler, and is an angry, depressed guy who's clearly been through a lot. But Husk turned him down, possibly because of his own jadedness not seeing the point of making a deal when he's already damned. This fascinated Alastor, and now he refuses to leave Husk alone, dragging him into various schemes and shenanigans, usually only needing a Comically Small Bribe to get Husk to go along with it. It's why Husk is so at ease yelling at and shoving Alastor around - he knows Alastor has nothing to hold over him, and won't hurt him because he likes him too much.
  • Jossed. Husk used to be an Overlord and made a deal with Alastor to keep his power.

In regards to Husk, there will be some sort of Actor Allusion that references his voice actor Mick Lauer's previous role as Leone Abbacchio.
Both characters are grumpy alcoholics with really-deep-down soft spots who have a Dark and Troubled Past. Maybe Husk will serve somebody a glass full of piss while tending bar.

Niffty will become an Unwitting Pawn to Vox.
She freezes up and forgets what she was doing when looking into a video camera and Vox can mind control people watching tv, maybe Niffty is more susceptible to Vox's control and the others dismissing it as stage fright would give Vox extra cover.

Niffty has trauma associated with cameras
The fact that she doesn't seem aware of her freezing up while being filmed makes it possible that cameras are a Trauma Button for her.

Even if he achieves his goals, is freed from Alastor, and becomes an overlord again, Husk will begin to see everyone at the hotel (especially Angel, Charlie, and Vaggie) as friends that he's grown to care deeply about. So he'll choose to stay at the hotel and continue to work there, eventually coming around to actually enjoy it there.

Niffty was an Overlord
Something proposed by ayy lmao. If Husk was an Overlord who was bound to Alastor, it's not a stretch to assume the same with Niffty, as she also isn't one of his shadow creations. More specifically, her business could have in cleaning up bodies.
  • Assuming elements of the pilot are still canon, her silhouette was visible in the background when Vaggie gave the Exposition Dump about Alastor toppling the other Overlords. Maybe she was one of those Overlords and like Husk became bound to Alastor.

In life, Niffty was a Yandere that killed her husband.
She has that "cute but unstable" energy found in yandere stereotypes, looks the part of a fifties housewife but as a demon, but with some kinks you don't expect. In life she was a Seemingly-Wholesome '50s Girl that stalked pretty boys she liked. Eventually Niffty managed to find someone as a husband and seemed to settle down, only for her to catch the mister in bed with the maid and pulled a Ms Mayberry. With her sin in mind, her Neat Freak personality takes on an extra meaning. The one eye is symbolic of her obsession with men.

Niffty will officially become Valentino's Abhorrent Admirer.
Bad boys are Niffty's type and she shows interest in the very bad Valentino in "Welcome to Heaven". If there's one major character who deserves to harassed by Niffty, it's Valentino.

Niffty willingly works for Alastor
Considering Niffty is a massive Nightmare Fetishist, the idea that she tied herself to Alastor willingly doesn't seem that far fetched. It's also why Alastor seems to enjoy her company more than Husk.

Husk knowing about Alastor being on a leash is the reason he gambled with the Radio Demon in the first place...and lost.
It's very notable that out of all the characters we've seen so far, only Husk has explicitly stated that he knows about Alastor being on someone's leash...who's to say that in his past when his gambling problem caused him to lose nearly everything, he found out about Alastor's deal and believed that he could use it as leverage to gain back what he lost, and gain power over Alastor? However, his gamble backfired, and Alastor, now knowing there's someone who knows his darkest secret that could be turned against him, is very determined to make sure that Husk never leaves his servitude, lest he squeal the truth and destroy Alastor's reputation.

Husk will challenge Valentino for Angel's soul.
As he and Angel grow closer, Husk will be driven to try getting him out of his soul-binding deal with his greatest strength and weakness: gambling. Valentino is just arrogant and shortsighted enough to pounce on the chance to humiliate a former Overlord, so he accepts the wager. The game is close and involves a lot of cheating on both sides, but Husk manages to win and destroys Angel's contract, subsequently making the porn star eligible for Heaven.

Niffty's husband was her high school sweetheart.
He was a Greaser Delinquent — black leather jacket, motorcycle and all. A bad boy in every sense of the word. Unfortunately he was also a cad, and cheated on her multiple times. It ended badly.

Some of Niffty’s funny personality traits will get a Cerebus Retcon.
A few possibilities...
  • She likes bad boys = her husband was abusive. Or, alternatively, she likes bad boys because her father was abusive, and as an adult she subconsciously seeks out male figures who are familiar to her.
  • She likes pain = it was her way of coping with Domestic Abuse.
  • Her obsessive cleaning = the only thing that makes her feel useful, or it's a leftover trait from her desperately trying to wash the blood stains out of her house's floor after murdering her husband.

Husk was the first Overload Alastor overthrew, which is why he's still alive
  • Overconfident in his abilities, Husk took up the challenge with Alastor, as at the time Alastor was a nobody. Alastor was able to beat Husk until the overlord gambled away everything that made him an overlord to Alastor. Using Husk's power, it became the starting point where the Radio Demon began toppling other overlords, adding more to his power and killing them. However, Alastor chose to keep Husk alive, not just as his slave but also a trophy, as a reminder of where his steps to becoming an overlord began.

If Alastor betrays the Hotel, he will force Husk and Niffty to do the same
With them being bound to him, Alastor would likely want them to assist him in taking Charlie and her other friends down. Husk will obviously be the most resistant of the two, while Niffty would probably be conflicted since she too has grown to like the others at the Hotel. I can see a bit of an Avatar: The Last Airbender-like moment coming from it:
Husk: I guess you don't know people the way you think you do. You miscalculated. I love Angel more than I fear you.
Alastor: No, YOU miscalculated! You should've feared me MORE!

Sir Pentious and his Egg Boiz
In life, Sir Pentious was a loving father with a son.
His reaction to Angel's "Harder Daddy" was a wistful "Son?". He probably had memories of his child in life that where brought back from Angel's comment.

Sir Pentious worked for one of the old powers Alastor deposed.
For his first few decades in Hell he made himself useful to one of the established demon overlords of the Pentacle by building them weapons and airships. But since the Radio Demon deposed all the old powers he's been picking up the pieces of his old boss's territory. The old boss had very prominent snake motiff.

Sir Pentious' son is a Chekhov M.I.A..
It's not clear why exactly he is missing; either he was massacred in a purge or he didn't go to hell in the first place. In the first case, he will turn out to be Not Quite Dead, in the latter he will turn out to have become an Angel.

Sir Pentious Will Do a Heel–Face Turn
Since he is a evil demons and was defeated at the end of the pilot. He will Realise his mistakes and Decide to redeem himself.
  • Confirmed. In the second episode of series proper, he is sent to act as The Mole for Vox only to get caught with Vox abandoning him for it. The turn isn't from him seeing the error of his ways though. Rather, it's due to Charlie accepting him. His ultimate expression of this redemption is to die fighting for his friends, as a result of which he is taken into Heaven.

Alastor and Sir Pentious will become friendly enemies
They will bound over their preferences over their respective time periods (Pentious for the 1880s, Alastor for the 1920s) and disdain for technology invented after they died.

In life, Sir Pentious was Jack the Ripper
Not only is he an Evil Brit who lived during the Victorian era, but he also died in the same year that Jack the Ripper's murders started and ended: 1888. His position as a brilliant and respected inventor during that time period would've lead to people not assuming that someone as respected as him could be the Whitechapel Murderer. Pentious also insults Cherri Bomb (and by extension, Angel Dust, a promiscuous adult star) by calling them whores, a common insult hurled at prostitutes, who were Jack the Ripper's victims. It would also explain his hatred of Alastor, as the Radio Demon is yet another former serial killer. Pentious might view himself as superior to Alastor due to being the world's most notorious serial killer and wants to rid Alastor due to him being a less-known serial killer who holds otherworldly demonic powers, something Pentious might be jealous of. Although minor, Pentious also wears a tophat, much like most media depictions of the Ripper.

Sir Pentious' cause of death was suicide
It's implied that beneath his pompous, braggart personality, Sir Pentious is wretchedly lonely. He took his own life due to being constantly ignored and rejected, only for it to continue on into his afterlife as well. It would also make Vox's Suicide Dare all the more Harsher in Hindsight.

Sir Pentious was a showboating, failed inventor killed by his own inventions.
He's an inventor who lived during the Victorian era, which is among other things iconic for its invention and famous inventors like Thomas Edison. In life Sir Pentious tried to ride the bandwagon and push various contraptions which were overpriced, didn't do anything or caused harm, hence he's in Hell; he was damned for his recklessness rather than maliciousness, and scamming people out of money. His death was caused by an attempt to prove his stuff worked, like a cannon that exploded in his face or a "cure-all" that poisoned him. The Inferiority Superiority Complex is down to him genuinely wanting to be loved as a great inventor, but he just doesn't have a strong enough work ethic for it.

Sir Pentious died by unknowingly drinking his own snake-oil.
While alive, he got sick with something that really needed actual medication to be fixed, but being the Mad Scientist, tried to make his own medication by reading "medical books" and listening to street-peddlers of the time and without knowing better, mixed in actual cobra venom into his concoction to "kill the disease thoroughly" before drinking the whole thing in one go. His ignorance became his undoing and since his death was both self-inflicted and accidental, he was sent to the Pride-Ring due to his own misguided pride in his own abilities being the responsible party in his demise. Which also might explain why he gets a massive headache from using his own poison as a last-ditch attack.

Bank accounts in the Hellaverse actually are a scam created by some shadow government
Despite this just being a joke about Egg Boiz being unhinged conspiracy theorists, what if it turns out to actually be true? Because we know how messed up Earth is in this universe if Helluva Boss is anything to go by.

The Hotel denizens are going to become really protective of the last Egg Boi
The Egg Boiz lack the durability of Hellborn and the regenerative powers of sinners. Now that there's only one left and he could die if someone simply doesn't watch their step, everyone, even Alastor, is going to become extremely protective of the little guy, especially since he's the only remnant of Sir Pentious they still have.

Sir Pentious was a soldier when he was alive
Not only because of the "General Pentious" get-up and war machines, but because his immediate reaction to the Loan Sharks attacking the Hotel in "Dad Beat Dad" is to shout "WE'RE UNDER SIEGE! TAKE COVER!", perhaps remembering the war he was in back when he was alive.

Sir Pentious was Professor Moriarty when alive

    Valentino, Velvette and Vox
Valentino's cigarette smoke allows him to influence people
In one of Faustisse's earlier streams, she said that Valentino is one of the physically weaker Overlords, lacking super destructive powers like Alastor's shadow tentacles. Instead, she said that he is powerful because of his "charm". It seems likely that Valentino's "charm" is the cigarette smoke, which he uses to control others. You can see in the "ADDICT" video that Angel looks unhappy and doesn't want to be there until he inhales the smoke, which apparently changes his attitude. Considering Valentino doesn't seem very charming in personality...
  • Seconded by this troper - not only has Valentino displayed the ability to manipulate his cigarette smoke, shaping it as he desires (both into a heart shape and into shackles that briefly wrap around Angel's limbs), there's also a picture on Angel's instagram of him lounging on Valentino's jacket, with wisps of Valentino's smoke floating around him. And considering what we know of Valentino and Angel's relationship...

Valentino will become a major antagonist.
According to the prequel comic, Angel's boss Valentino is extremely possessive of him. If Valentino finds out Charlie is trying to make Angel go clean to send him to heaven then a conflict is bound to happen. It's also pretty much guaranteed Vaggie will absolutely despise him

Vaggie and Valentino have some kind of connection
Seriously, two Salvadoran moth demons associated with the sex industry who have names starting with "Va"? That really seems like more than just a coincidence. Might also help explain why she and Angel Dust have such an antagonistic relationship.

Valentino is Angel Dust's dad.
It would definitley add to the squick factor, or somewhere along in production. henrion evolved into valentino.
  • Or maybe he's vaggie's dad.

Velvet's position has something to do with the food industry
Since she's apparently an excellent cook.
  • Jossed. She's related to Social Media.

The demon with a TV for a head will appear and be a rival for Alastor.
Because Video Killed The Radio Star.
  • Not (yet?) confirmed, but implied in this tweet from Vivziepop.
    • Officially confirmed. Vox is established to be Alastor's Arch-Enemy, as detailed in the amusingly titled episode, "Radio Killed The Video Star".

Alastor will suffer a massive Break the Haughty moment at the hands of the TV Demon
As a an appropriately ironic twist of fate (seeing as how TV likely killed Radio as the major means of mass communication) Alastor the "Radio Demon" will eventually get into a fight and get thoroughly mashed up by the TV Demon. However, this will break his pride and spirit and, after Charlie and the others help nurse him back to health, he begin to actually see that maybe the Hotel has a bit more worth than just a means for his sick amusement. This eventually sets him on the path to redemption.
  • the battle will consist of Alastor being Trapped in TV Land and the whole fight being broadcasted to all of Hell.
  • Alastor won't be able to understand why Charlie helps him after losing the fight.
  • Losing the fight will cause Alastor to frown.

Vox is Katie Killjoy and Tom's boss
As a demon overlord who has a T.V. motif, Vox possibly has control over all television channels in Hell. As such, he is practically Katie Killjoy's and Tom Trench's boss. And they are terrified of him.

Valentino killed Molly.
Y'know Angel Dust's sister, Molly, well i think she's dead, and Valentino's the culprit. Now hear me out people, I think i can make this work. It's been said that Molly is one of the only people that support him, and it's also been said that Valentino is very abusive towards Angel Dust, so i hazard a guess that Molly found about the abuse, and then Valentino killed her so she wouldn't snitch.
  • Seems pretty unlikely. Angel Dust and Valentino died decades apart and there's nothing indicating they knew each other while alive.

It's no coincidence that Vaggie and Valentino are both moth demons
Many transformations sinners undergo have some symbolic meaning. Those who are particularly "drawn" to something turn into moth demons. Valentino is drawn to money, power, and maybe sex; Vaggie is drawn to love.

Vox, Velvet and Valentino have an alliance
They seem to be on good enough terms for it.
  • Confirmed. They are working together.

Vox has a "machine" voice of some sort
Because it would make sense.
  • Mostly jossed. He occasionally "buffers" when he gets angry, but for the most part his voice sounds normal.

Valentino will have a villain song of his own explaining how he and Angel Dust met and how angel started working with Valentino.
Alastor got one and it'd explore Angel's backstory in-universe.

Valentino will want to stay at the hotel at some point
And this will cause an enormous moral conflict for Charlie, Angel, and the others there.
  • This feels like a logical route to go from a narrative standpoint. If the major question of season 1 was "Can someone be redeemed?" Season 2's question could be "Can anyone be redeemed?" While the more likely candidate for this sort of arc would be Alastor, as he would be a safer option, if Valentino can be redeemed, then anyone can.
  • This also has potential for some Hard Truth Aesops, depending on the route they would go.
    • Route 1. Valentino CAN be redeemed:
      • Just because you're seeking redemption doesn't mean your sins are undone.
      • Even if you change for the better, your victims are NOT required to forgive you.
      • Would Valentino even deserve a shot at redemption, considering the things he's done ON SCREEN to KNOWN CHARACTERS?
    • Route 2. Valentino CAN'T be redeemed:
      • Some people are simply Beyond Redemption.
      • If Val is still harassing Angel in the Hotel, Charlie may have to put her foot down and kick him out, even if Val legitimately wants redemption.
      • Val could have a tragic backstory and STILL not be redeemable. The tragedy would be that anyone could be just as bad as him. Humanizing Valentino would make for Realism-Induced Horror, as a viewer could potentially relate to/sympathize with Valentino and be disgusted by it. A reminder that, as comforting as it is to pretend otherwise, Complete Monsters are just as human as you and I.

Each overlord is connected with some form of media or entertainment
Alastor is associated with radio, Vox with TV, Valentino with adult film, and Velvette with social networking sites. There's a definite pattern here. Whether this is merely being connected to it or exerting significant control over it remains to be seen.
  • So, is Stolas associated with books or is he something separate from Pentagram City's Overlords?
    • The latter, Vivienne mentioned on a stream that Stolas is a member of the Goetial demons, which have a separate hierarchy from the overlords.

Vox, Valentino, and Velvette are overlords because of Alastor.
3 of the overlords are a patchwork doll, a pimp, and a TV. None of them seem particularly old, or like they’d be super powerful. How did they gain so much power? Alastor.

According to Vaggie, he slaughtered several, much older overlords. They probably saw their chance in the ensuing power vacuum, and that’s how they gained the overlord title.

Valentino identifies as gender fluid or non-binary.
There were some comments that may have been possible hints at this on his Voxtagram before he deleted everything. After breaking up with Vox again he posted a picture of himself with Dia and Summer saying he was having a lesbian night. The comments leading up to him deleting all his posts were him saying "all women are useless" and then saying "men are useless too" after that got taken down. The fact that people who know him refer to him as "he" isn't necessarily evidence against this idea since there are non-binary people who choose to go by gendered pronouns.

Valentino will get his karmic retribution by being castrated
Seems like poetic justice at its finest in my opinion.
Vox will be an extremely tragic character whose only a villain because he has morals and values that only make sense to him, and he will also turn out to be desperate to love and be loved.
His obsession with Alastor is merely a romantic one, and his inability to take the hint that Alastor doesn't love him back is that Al's positive qualities are the only one he really notices, and his on-and-off relationship with Valentino is his desperate need to feel loved leading Valentino to taking advantage of him.

Vox's role in the series will be a Foil to Valentino's.
Both are Overlords shaping up to be arch-enemies to two main characters; Vox and Alastor don't get along due to their different views on technology, Valentino is Angel Dust's pimp and abuser. What extended material we have hasn't given Valentino any levity or detract from his Hate Sink status, while Vox gets a Pet the Dog moment in his pet and has Love Martyr tendencies to Valentino. Unlike Valentino who's got a very personal dynamic with Angel Dust, Vox's role as a villain will be more of the Laughably Evil (it's hard to too serious when you have a TV Head) variety compared to Valentino being a Knight of Cerebus. His opposition to the Hazbin Hotel will be of the Nothing Personal type, though Beware the Silly Ones will be in effect.

Velvette died earlier than you'd think.
Each of the Overlords is themed after some media (Alastor radio, Vox TV and Valentino the sex industry/sex work), and Velvette is into selfies. As she uses modern internet trends it seems like she entered Hell relatively recently when these trends became a thing, but what if Velvette is simply trying to get with the times? Velvette instead died during the 90s before the internet really hit mainstream, and as it progresses/more modern sinners show up she adapts to the time with internet culture. She may even be a lot older akin to Vox or even Alastor's age (or even further back) and is simply the one Overlord that has no problem changing her theme to whatever's the current trend. This'd also serve to add friction between her and Alastor if they interact due the latter's disdain of modern technology.

The V's are likely going to get killed by the Exorcists or get a major wake-up call on their behaviors by the end of Season 1
  • Jossed, The Vee's did appear in the Season 1 finale, but they didn't get killed by the Exorcists nor did they get a wakeup call on their behaviors.

Vox and Valentino's relationship will turn abusive like in the Instagram accounts
As Valentino loses his grip on Angel Dust while Vox's failures begin to build up more and more, he might begin abusing Vox (and possibly Velvette as well) because he wants to have power over someone and who better than his (supposed) boyfriend?

One of the Vees will end up pulling a Heel–Face Turn and joining the Hotel
Since the show is all about finding the best in the worst people, the idea of one of the members of the Big Bad Duumvirate turning out to not be so bad and actually have turn out to be a better person than first believed would make sense. Would most likely be Vox, but it could just as easily be Velvette.
  • Yeah, it'll likely be Velvette, since the worst she did in the show (so far) is verbally abuse her employees, plus she never tried to directly antagonize the Hazbin Hotel staff on her own...so it's possible it COULD be her to redeem, since Valentino is an Irredeemable Monster and Vox will be too laser focused on taking out Alastor.

Valentino will qualify for Complete Monster status before the show is over.
On this very wiki.

The V's all died the same day, albeit in different decades

Velvette will end up abandoning the other Vees for one reason or another
Either due to a Heel–Face Turn or a simple case of Screw This, I'm Outta Here. While Vox has his enmity with Alastor and has directly targeted the hotel via sending Sir Pentious to spy on them, and Valentino is Angel Dust's abusive boss, Velvette has so far displayed no such personal investment or stakes in the conflict with the hotel. Given that she's been shown to be Smarter Than You Look, its possible that should the Vees end up overreaching and biting off more than they can chew; she'd be the most likely one to recongise they're in over their heads and that the pros of being associated with Vox and Val no longer outweighs cons. So perhaps Velvette will Know When to Fold Them.

The main sin that did Velvette in and got her sent to Hell was "Adultery".
Her form as a Sinner in hell notably lacks both a nose and ears, alongside an animal motif that could justify one or the other's absence. Since the shape a sinner take in hell is symbolic and a Karmic Transformation, Velvette's lacking face do align with a verse in the bible that detailed the consequences of adultery. As according to Ezekiel 23:25 " I will direct my jealous anger against you, and they will deal with you in fury. They will cut off your noses and your ears, and those of you who are left will fall by the sword. They will take away your sons and daughters, and those of you who are left will be consumed by fire". Velvette's face have neither and considering her personality, the idea of her treating relationships like easily replaceable and changing up partners when bored of the last one, ended up becoming her undoing as one of these "replaceable partners" ended up killing her over this attitude in a fit of rage sending her to Hell in the process which gave her a constant reminder of her sin every time she would look at her face in a mirror.

Vox can "eat" electricity.
He can and does eat normal food because it tastes good, but gets most of his energy from plugging himself into a wall while sleeping.

The reason Vox and Alastor's relationship soured was because Vox misread Alastor and assumed he was coming onto him.
Considering how chummy and touchy Alastor is prone to being, Vox, back when the duo still worked together, assumed that Alastor was coming onto him and/or flirting with him, while Alastor was just being usual Faux Affably Evil self. Unknown to Alastor, Vox fell and fell hard. Thus, the offer to "join the Vees" that Vox offered to Alastor was actually a request to take things to what Vox believed was the next level in their "relationship". Alastor, now utterly repulsed, turned him down. This left Vox under the belief that Alastor was leading him on the whole time, leaving him extremely bitter.

Vox was killed by a TV in the same manner as Stu Macher
He was a television host while alive, and in the middle of a backstage tantrum he knocked something loose which sent a TV crashing onto his head. Sure, it's possible his sinner appearance simply references his career, but since there are at least two examples of sinners whose appearance directly references their cause of death (Alastor and Lyle Lipton), it's not unreasonable to think having a TV for a head is The Powers That Be having a little laugh at his expense.

Velvette is an estranged daughter of Carmille Carmine.
Whether by blood or through adoption, Velvette used to be part of the Carmine family. However, she found Carmille to be too controlling and smothering, having strong opinions about how Velvette should conduct herself and live her afterlife, driving Velvette to leave her in favor of finding allies who supported her ambitions in the other Vees.
  • Velvette shares the same style of eyes we see in Carmille, Odette and Clara: stark white irises with small pupils with red sclera.
  • One of the differences between her pilot and final designs is the predominance of a long white swirl in her hair. Hinting that it's secretly a case of Nonconformist Dyed Hair, perhaps?
  • Carmine is a deep red hue with some purplish undertones; Velvette's signature shade of rich, vibrant pink could arguably fall under that umbrella.
  • This would provide a narrative parallel between Velvette and Charlie, as well as their respective estranged parental figures in Carmine versus Lucifier and Lilith (and potentially Eve). Lucifer has some trouble supporting his daughter's ambitions not because he lacks faith in her so much as him lacking faith in everyone else in Hell; this could run parallel to Carmine's refusal to accept Velvette's independence.

All three Vs will receive a Karmic Death By Irony.
With all three being very despicable and clearly having an amount of enemies, it would be satisfying to get to see each and every one of them be killed in ways that symbolizes their actions coming back to haunt then and/or by characters they have personally wronged or opposed (whether it be sinners whose souls they own, members of the hotel, someone else who may have a personal grudge or few against, maybe all in one)
  • Valentino
  • Vox
    • Who could kill him? It's pretty clear his plot to overthrow Alastor will continue, so it could result in Alastor eventually getting the upper hand and add Vox's scream to his radio show
  • Velvette
    • Who could kill her? Given their interaction in "Scrambled Eggs", Carmilla is a potential contender for sure. Should Velvette find out that Carmilla was the one who killed the beheaded exorcist, she could try to use it to blackmail her. Course this would completely backfired on Velvette
    • Carmilla's daughters could also be possible choices. Showing they are willing to fight for their mother as much as she for them would be awesome and heartwarming.
    • If the mentioned theories about Velvette pulling a Heel–Face Turn happen, then it's possible she could be killed in a Heroic Sacrifice taking the defense for another character or two by an exorcist.

Alternatively, the Vees will get A Fate Worse Than Death for their part in overthrowing Hell's leadership.
Keeping in line with "Everyone should have a chance at redemption", Hell won't erase the Vees for their crimes, but instead alter their symbolic transformations in a way to make it that much harder for the three to do anything, but still have a snowflake's chance of hope to escape it by repenting for their sins, which would kick them straight to Heaven rather than giving them free reign in Hell to do it all over again, reducing their threat-level to a minimum.
  • Valentino: Increased Animal Motif, turning him into an actual moth in form of size and appearance, with only red wings as hint of who he once was, and left at the mercy/care of Angel Dust, his former victim. All Valentino can do in this form, is squeak, squeak and maybe fly a little, while completely aware inside. A human mind trapped inside of an insect.
  • Vox: Will get devolved so far down the tech-tree that his head turns into a radio while losing his tech.body in the process. Only hint of his former identity, being the color on the turn-dials mimicking his eyes. He can still speak, but only when not forced to play songs from the 1920-era. His human mind trapped in an immobile device and left to repent.
  • Velvette: Keeps her body but gets turned into a mannequin, completely immobile, and having a smile permanently stuck in her face. Now left to forever wear the "hideous" clothing-creations of her former fashion-slaves as punishment, having her body moved into poses she doesn't like, and no access to any form whatsoever, left standing in a window and doing nothing but scream within her smiling frozen plastic body.

Eventually, Charlie takes pity on these three and brings them to the Hotel where they are in a much safer environment, but not before having them feel what it is like to be helpless, exposed and too weak to do anything first as a way to humble them. Their redemption being indeed, a snowflake's chance in Hell but the best thing they got.

    Adam and Lute
Lute will lose her right eye in the next Extermination
Karma is a bitch, and preaching "An eye for an eye" is going to bite her on the ass as Vaggie repays the favour.

Vaggie will rip Lute’s eye out in the Season finale.

Given how much of a Smug Snake she is, it’s obviously being built up for her and Adam to have the rug pulled out from under them, and it not only gives Vaggie payback, it ties in with the “an eye for an eye fair is fair” lyrics from Hell is Forever.

  • Jossed for the season one finale, but it could still happen in season two...

Adam and Lute will become Fallen Angels in the season finale
During the Extermination, they will attempt to kill Angel, and Sera will have a Heel Realization upon seeing them trying to kill him in spite of his efforts of self-improvement. So, as punishment, she banishes them both to Hell and discontinues the Extermination. Adam and Lute will beg Charlie for forgiveness, but she uses their philosophy of sinners being Beyond Redemption against them and leaves them at the mercy of demons who want them dead.

If Adam and Lute do fall into Hell, both will be revealed to be unable to hold their liquor.
Since "Welcome To Heaven" implies that no one in Heaven drinks, Adam and Lute would likely be completely unprepared to deal with stronger drinks if they go for the Drowning My Sorrows route.

If Adam does become a sinner, his sinner form will take the appearance of a pig
A common way to refer to chauvinists is to call them a pig, after all.
  • Charlie calling him one in the final battle could even be foreshadowing. Would also lead to some interesting interactions between him and Fat Nuggets..

The reason why Adam is a Sir Swears-a-Lot even by this universe's standards is because he invented swearing
He taught it to humanity, who taught it to the fallen angels and native demons when they became Sinners.

Adam will (try to) kill Emily.
To get back at her for siding with Charlie in saying that he's no better than the people in hell, and to try and frame Charlie so that he can get even more leeway to wreak havoc in Hell.

Adam gets banished to hell…..and instead he gets WORSE.
This is the guy who smugly says he’s never made a mistake in his life and he’s clearly angry when Charlie implies he’s a sinner. Him being kicked out of heaven and banished to live among those he despises would be the ultimate kick in the balls, and given how arrogant he is he’s more likely to double down than admit he was wrong.
  • Seeing himself become a sinner will make him snap and go on a violent killing spree.

Redeeming Adam will be Charlie's greatest challenge.
This is based on the assumption that Adam ONLY went to Heaven because he didn't eat the fruit, and thus doesn't know Good from Evil and can't be held accountable for his sins. Whenever he does eat the fruit by some trick or force, he'll see himself as totally irredeemable and fall BY CHOICE, likely after having killed at least one of Charlie's friends. When Charlie sees the man who murdered her loved one saying he's beyond redemption then, to keep her ideals, she will have to make her mouth say the words "no, you aren't."
If both Lute and Adam fall, one gets worse while the other gets better
Going off the above theory of Adam getting worse should he fall into Hell, it's possible that, if they go that route, Lute would instead get better, having realized how toxic Adam is and discovering that some people really don't deserve to be in Hell or at the very least, they don't deserve to die again.

Despite him supposedly being Killed Off for Real in the Season 1 finale, it could actually be possible for him to be revived or revealed to not actually have died, which could also open the possibility for a redemption arc. A few possible ways:

  • His injury wasn't fatal, due to being Made of Iron.
  • He is revived as a demon and is unable to return to Heaven.
  • There's the fact that Sir Pentious became an Ascended Demon instead of being rendered Deader than Dead. It's possible the inverse, a heavenly soul that's proven themselves unworthy goes to Hell if killed, is in effect...it's just that no heavenly soul has double died before so no-one realized it.

Adam's energy will corrupt Hell.
  • Vivzie has said that permanently killed Demons' energy is reabsorbed into Hell, hence all the eyes. I can't imagine Adam's energy is going to do anyone in Hell any favors.

Someone will collect the corpses of Adam and the Exorcists for nefarious purposes
After all, a holy body would be very powerful and valuable, even when dead.

If Adam is turned into a demon, Lute won't recognize him because she can't comprehend the idea he's a sinner
Be a great moment of angst for Adam and could possibly serve as a massive Break the Haughty moment for him and could lead to himself committing to redemption if only so Lute can actually recognize him again.

If Adam did become a sinner, his Heel Realization will come from learning that Cain and Abel were killed in an extermination
If Adam does become a sinner, chances are he won't take too well to Charlie's hotel since he believes that he doesn't need redemption or to change himself. However, since he's in Hell, he decides to look for his sons (considering that Abel died before Adam, yet the latter was the first human soul to ascend to Heaven), only to learn they died in an early extermination. This causes Adam to realize that the exterminations are a bad thing and that he was a horrible person for actually supporting them since he or one of his angels murdered his sons without mercy or care.

Vaggie sparing Lute will backfire.
The exorcist is still sore over losing both her arm and Adam. Perhaps she'll double down on her hatred of Hell and become even more brutal.

If Adam has become a Sinner, he's going to believe that surviving Hell will be easy, only to discover that he's not top dog anymore
Even if Adam is somewhat powerful as a sinner, power doesn't mean much when everyone in Hell has a bone to pick with you. Adam would most likely suffer a Break the Haughty and be forced to turn to Charlie and the gang, since they're the one group of people that won't kill him on sight.

Eve and Lilith are at fault for Adam being a misogynist
This is is under the assumption that initially, Adam was actually a good person. Think about it, first Lilith (the first woman) betrays/cheats on him, then Eve, the second woman does the same, with the same guy no less! Not just every woman he knew betrayed him but every woman in existence! Dude would probably see women as untrustworthy and incapable of loyalty after that. It would also explain why Vaggie was betrayed by him (he saw her as potentially doing the same to him as Eve and Lilith did) and why he's friendly towards Lute. Lute seems to genuinely be loyal to him without question, even going a bit to far in her zeal for him at times, he literally can't/couldn't fathom her betraying him hence he actually was nice towards her.

If Adam comes back and is redeemed, Lute will become even worse.
As of Season 1 the two are very alike in their misanthropic, zealous views, except Lute is implied to be even more of a Knight Templar than him. If Adam ends up as the Vegeta of Hazbin Hotel and have a series-long redemption arc, Lute could mirror this by becoming even worse and more determined to enforce her vision, essentially becoming a living reminder of the villain Adam used to be when part of the heavenly host. It could serve as compelling drama for a now heroic Adam being forced to fight a Lute that is considered by the narrative to be Beyond Redemption.

Lute will end up undergoing an Azula style Villainous Breakdown
Lute has already shown herself to have similar bloodlust and instability to the fire nation Princess, so if, by the end of the series (or possibly sooner), Lute would end up going over the deep end and her defeat ends up coming off as rather tragic, simply because (if the exorcists were created as they were and not former humans that ascended to Heaven) the idea of killing demons is all she's ever known as now she doesn't even have that.

Lute is a reincarnated Eve.
HEAR ME OUT.

We know that Vaggie is a human reincarnated into an angel (since Word of God says she was Salvadorian in life), and we know Adam renamed her when she became an angel. And since she can still speak Spanish, presumably she has at least some memory and knowledge from her human life left in her. What if, when Eve died, she also became an angel, but not as powerful and high-ranking as Adam (presumably as punishment for accepting the Fruit of Knowledge), allowed to remain an angel to try and make up for her "misdeed"? Her blind Ax-Crazy hatred of demonkind could stem from bitterness, cynicism, and rage over being "tricked" by Lucifer and Lilith and causing evil to enter the world, and it would certainly explain her implied romantic feelings towards Adam despite him being a misogynistic prick. Even her name might be a sign: a lute is an instrument to be played, just like how Eve was birthed from Adam's ribs and essentially a subserviant object for him to use!

Adam is revived as a demon, but this won't be revealed right away.
Since Vivizepop has confirmed that season two will focus more on the Vees, Adam arriving at the hotel and wanting to get back into Heaven will bloat the season. Thus, the fact he's become a sinner won't be revealed right away. Instead, it will be dropped as the hook for season 3, with season 2 ending with Adam finally deciding to check the hotel out. Him being a demon would be foreshadowed via Funny or Meaningful Background Events where Adam's demon form can be seen, probably being a Butt-Monkey in order to humble him enough to even consider accepting Charlie's help.

Extreminations weren’t Adam’s idea
Adam is obviously hedonistic jerk who, while capable of being smart when he wants to be, is to lazy to bother with coming with intricate plans. While Extreminations are definetely in character for him and aren’t to complicated of a proces, it’s perfectly possible that somebody in upper echelons of Heaven suggested idea to him by playing on his hatred for Lucifer, either because they have bone to pick with Lucifer themselves, with to mantain superiority of Heaven, or some other plan while using Adam as pawn to get it done and scapegoat in case it ends being taken badly. Adam of course would also be kind of person to take credit for the idea when it’s approved, but its also perfectly possible that whoever truly came up with the idea suggested it to him in a way that would make Adam believe it was his own.

Adam never ate the fruit while in Eden.
The reason he got tossed out alongside Eve from the garden was because he actually stood up for Eve and refuted to leave her side when the Elders came to toss her out, resulting in the both of them getting exiled instead. This act of defending Eve despite having everything to lose from doing so being the reason he got qualified to enter Heaven at the end of his life and why he added "Stick it to the man!" on his list of redeeming-qualities.

Lute will plot an assassination on Sera
This would assume Sera learned from her mistakes. If so, Pentious is welcomed openly and the exterminations called off permanently. Lute would then see Sera as a ruler who needs to be taken out for the greater good. Lute now knows that angels are vulnerable to angelic steel and may want to take a chance on whether that means seraphim as well. Emily may find out and try to foil her plans with help from Pentious and/or Molly. This could mean Emily Taking the Bullet for Sera.

Lute will go the extra mile and turn herself into an actual angel before picking a fight with the Hazbin-crew again.
If the theory that that the exorcists in Adam's group were once humans ascending as angels, then there still would be a power-gap between them and actual Heavenborn angels. To close the gap, Lute may try and undergo a procedure that will turn her into one of the Heavenborn for more power, at the price of her own humanity in the process. Just to ensure that she won't get destroyed by Charlie and Lucifer the moment she shows up to fight them again.

    Alastor's true nature and history
Alastor made a deal with an Overlord to avoid dying for good.
Near the end of the season finale, it's revealed Alastor made a deal with somebody that's restricting his power. Maybe, after Alastor arrived in Hell, he started collecting souls to gain power for an unknown reason (Either to torment the residents of Hell at his leisure, or he has more Hidden Depths). However, after collecting a certain amount of souls, it started to take a toll on his body and he realized that too much power would eventually kill him, possibly for good. To remedy this he may have tried killing some of the sinners who sold their soul to him but it wasn't working. Alastor wants to keep his fearsome reputation intact and so wouldn't give back some of those souls, likely because he was too egotistical to bite the bullet and resorted to making a deal with another Overlord to reduce his power in order to stay alive, either being restricted to a flat value or most of his power being channeled into his cane which acts as his medium. After he was forced to retreat from his fight with Adam, instead of believing he's not invincible, he chose to think of other options to survive being above his power limit instead of making deals to limit it.
Alastor's deal, if exposed, would have him be outed as a fraud and cause him to lose all power and reputation in Hell
Alastor's power is hinted by Husk to be tied to whomever he made a deal with, and Alastor is extremely touchy about the subject because of the way Hell's hierarchy works. If anyone were to find out that he's a fraud, then all of his powerbase and reputation would vanish overnight. This in turn is strongly implied to be the reason why he also keeps Husk on a leash as well; because Husk knows the truth about him, and Alastor is determined to make sure that he doesn't expose him by any means necessary. Additionally...

The reason Alastor keeps Husk as a servant is because he isn't powerful enough to actually kill Husk
It's telling that Alastor doesn't go out of his way to just kill Husk, given that it'd probably be a safer way to ensure that his secret never gets out. But what if the reason is because Alastor in reality isn't powerful enough to actually kill him? Husk did fall from his position of Overlord, but it's strongly implied to be less the result of him having no power and more due to his bad gambling problems making him take bad risks that blew up in his face. It's possible that Husk is still far more powerful than Alastor, but he's just been so psychologically broken down and weakened by the chains that he doesn't consider that Alastor doesn't have as much power as he thinks he does. And Alastor recognizes this, and exploits it to his advantage, using manipulation, gaslighting, and sleight of hand to keep Husk under his control.

Alastor is Lucifer
You can see Alastor examining a family portrait in the hotel. Seeing him side-by-side with a depiction of Lucifer shows just how similar the two are in appearance, to the point where they could be related. Alastor the Radio Demon is a persona Lucifer crafted for himself so he could go about his more private goals in disguise. Perhaps he wanted to remove some demon lords he felt were getting too close to his level of power, but couldn't remove them openly for political reasons. So he creates the "upstart soul" to suddenly "rise up" in the ranks and remove those Lucifer wanted gone. With Charlie's goals with the Happy Hotel made public knowledge, Lucifer is using his Alastor disguise to get close to Charlie for one of two reasons.

  • Option One: Lucifer wants to support Charlie's goal of rehabilitating demons. But as the King of Hell, he can't publically support a goal of redemption. It would make him look soft in the eyes of his subjects, leading to a complete mess of demons trying to overthrow him for perceived weakness. As Alastor, he can protect and support his daughter while under the pretense of trying to have some personal fun.
  • Option Two: Lucifer wants to stop Charlie's goal to because he wants to rewire it to work for both of them. Even if a handful of his subjects get killed every year in a purge, they're still his subjects. Charlie's goals would be sending his stuff to his enemy God and he doesn't want his daughter to send manipulative scumbags up there unless he knows they redeemed. Lucifer wants this to fail sometimes, but Charlie is still his daughter. He doesn't want her to know his goal out of fear of losing his daughter's love. So the Radio Demon will be subtly ensuring demons prove themselves worthy of redemption and is free to laugh at their misery just as he said he would.

    • Seemingly Jossed, as supposedly Alastor is asexual, and it's unlikely that Charlie was reproduced asexually or adopted.
      • Well, theoretically there's no reason that Lucifer's Alastor persona can't be asexual while Lucifer himself is distinctly Hetero-/bi-/pan-/Lillith-sexual. Although I doubt Vivzie and co would go that direction.

Alastor being Lucifer is a too obvious and Red Herring

It feels way to heavy handed and thus I think it's a red herring. There is definitely a connection between the two, but they're not the same person.

  • Perhaps he's Lucifer's chief agent, acting to both stabilize Hell (taking down powerful figures to consolidate a hold on power), and/or to protect Lucifer's interests (keeping an eye on Charlie, preventing any uppity demons from making a decisive power play on Lucifer himself). This would explain both his immense power (as the right-hand man of the LORD of HELL), and his seeming non-involvement in actually running anything he conquers (he's actually just the executioner, and those areas are under Lucifer's control).

Alastor could be an Exorcist in disguise

Think about it? He has the ability to topple demon overlords, tremendous power, and he apparently revels in his carnage. He could be working against the other Exorcists who stand to lose their jobs if Charlie's plan starts to work. He likes the idea of sinners getting back on their feet and fixing themselves. He just thinks they have take a few tumbles first.

God or some other heavenly being gave Alastor his power to punish the denizens of Hell
Would make sense.

Alastor is a servant/devotee of the Loa Kalfu, or perhaps Kalfu himself
Not only does Alastor show many signs of being associated with Voodoo, he shows a lot of signs of association with Kalfu in particular. Kalfu's veve is hidden in different spots on the wall during his song, as well as other voodoo symbols. They're not exact replicas, but they're similar enough that it would be easy enough to consider them to be references. Kalfu is always surrounded by other malevolent spirits - there are shadows constantly hanging around Alastor. It is also said that Kalfu is not a merciful demon. He finishes things quickly, and he can be very aggressive if given a reason. We see from his confrontation with Sir Pentious that Alastor finishes his job very quickly, and very mercilessly.

On top of that, Kalfu has multiple associations and domains, most of which also apply to Alastor:

  • Fire. Alastor uses it a few times, such as when he lights the fireplace.
  • Crossroads, which are traditionally associated with making shady deals, including among Voudon/Voodoo practitioners. Alastor has a reputation as a dealmaker.
  • Misfortune. Alastor's caused plenty of that.
  • Destruction. Again, lots of it.
  • Sorcery. Need I say it again?
  • The color red. Alastor is very red.

This may explain why he's so powerful.

Alastor is neither angel nor demon. He's a lwa.
It's already been established that Alastor is from New Orleans, where he was a serial killer, radio host, and possible practitioner of voodoo. As a practitioner, he would know about the various symbols and signs representing the lwa or principal voodoo spirits, like the ones surrounding him whenever he uses his powers. It's possible that his murders were ritual sacrifices. To himself. These didn't pay off, however, until he died. Back on Earth, he's revered as a lwa with domain over murder. Between the preemptive sacrifices to himself, and whatever his followers and devotees on Earth do in his name, he arrived in hell pretty powerful in his own right, and has only gotten stronger since then.

We have plenty of WMGs on Alastor being a demon, angel, etc, but none explain his life on earth, death in 1933, and being referred to as a "mortal soul". Even if he isn't completely human, he still must have at least some human blood in him.

Charlie and Alastor are related through Lucifer
Seriously, Lucifer and Alastor look a lot alike. Maybe Alastor is Lucifer's son with a mortal woman, making him and Charlie half-siblings. This could explain why he's so powerful and the similarities between him and Charlie.

Alastor is Charlie's half-brother, the result of her father having an affair with a human woman, and now wants to find her father, get a position as heir, and rule Hell alongside his half-sister.
  • It explains why he's so powerful for a "mortal being", because he's not entirely mortal. His backstory will reveal that he was a lonely, isolated child and his impoverished mother tried her best to take care of him, but was forced to rely on abusive men that abandoned her at the earliest convenience. Thus, in his youth, Alastor was frequently a lonely, fearful child without any friends or a good support network, and now he has learned to never show his "weakness" with emotions like fear or sadness - if you don't, cads and leches won't be able to take advantage of you. His plan is to use the hotel as a way to get Charlie off her perch as princess of hell and get to her father, who he wants to see more than anyone else to tell him off because, if it hadn't been for him, Alastor's life wouldn't have been the nightmare that made him what he is. However, he'll begin to realize that Charlie is as much a victim of her father's neglect and indifference as he himself is, and will start developing a genuine sibling relationship with her, and a sincere friendship with the others.

Alastor has some nephilim ancestry
Of course, whatever heinous evils he committed in life stripped away any potential goodness of his heavenly side, leaving him purely as a fallen angel, with all the power that entails. He may not be Lucifer levels of power, because as we know Lucifer was a very high-ranking archangel, but this leaves him leagues above any normal demon or sinner.

Alastor was lynched
This reddit thread shows what the symbols that radiate off Alastor while he's attempting to make a deal with Charlie mean. Veve, the symbols used in voodoo rituals, are used to invoke certain loa, or spirits. In this case, they're for Loko, Kalfou, Papa Legba, and Santa Muerte. Like the patron saints of Christianity, each of these loa have certain items or concepts they're affiliated with. Loko is considered the first priest, and is the patron of healers and plants, most specifically trees. Kalfou is kind of voodoo's answer to Satan, most commonly depicted as demonic or as a young man, and typically associated with the color red. He's also associated with bad luck and injustice, and another name of his (Carrefour) literally translates to "crossroads", a popular device in mythology as the place between life and death. Santa Muerte is, obviously, a death spirit, but a benevolent one, who is a patron of safe delivery to the afterlife, as well as protection from assault and violent death. Papa Legba is possibly the most important loa - he is considered the intermediary between the loa and humans, and most rituals begin and end with invoking his name. He's also commonly associated with dogs. Ya know, that thing Viv has stated Alastor hates, because they played a key role in his death.

Now, what was happening in the early half of the 20th century in the American South that typically involved dogs, trees, violent death, and incredible injustice? Given that Alastor was a serial killer in life, chances are that's what the lynch mob was after him for, but Viv has also said he's Creole and can speak broken Creole French, meaning that he was probably biracial in life, most likely of Haitian descent given the voodoo. The lynch mob most likely used his killings as an excuse to take justice into their own hands, especially since we don't know who Alastor was killing during his life (only that it wasn't children, because Viv said he'd never seriously hurt a child). Alastor is basically broadcasting how he died through these symbols - chased down by dogs, and then violently strung up in a tree until he died and descended into Hell.

Adding even more credence to this is "The Family Friendly Noose Song", which shows Alastor cheerfully explaining all the uses for a hangman's knot and emphatically warning the audience never to use it on yourself, and which Viv declared canon. Of course someone who died via a hangman's noose wouldn't want other people to use it on themselves.

Alastor is mostly red because he died soaked in his own blood
And he wears far more clothing than many other demons because he's Covered in Scars from his last moments alive.

In life, Alastor was the Axeman of New Orleans
He lived in Louisiana at about the right time, the Axeman was apparently a lover of jazz music (judging by a letter where he promised to spare any building where jazz was playing), and some believe the Axeman to have had some kind of supernatural powers.
  • Probably Jossed. Vivienne has expressed not wanting her characters to have direct connections to real-life incidents so Alastor will most likely not be connected to the Axeman.

Alastor has some association with the wendigo myth
Some versions describe a wendigo as being tall and lean with sharp teeth and antlers.
  • You become a wendigo when you eat human flesh, something that we know Alastor has done before (and still does).

Alastor's hatred was born from his experiences in Louisiana
Alastor lived in Louisiana around the time of the Great Depression. Louisiana was (and still is) one of the most racist and corrupt states in America, and the economic problems of the period didn't help. Perhaps the poverty, racism, and suffering of the time is what made Alastor so cruel.

Why Alastor thinks demons are Beyond Redemption
Assuming he's telling the truth, of course.
  • He tried to redeem himself at one point, but failed despite his best efforts, and so came to the conclusion that it was impossible for anyone damned to Hell to truly change for the better.
  • Another reason: He was a serial killer in life. Him saying "people had their chance in their previous life" is pretty much "Yeah I know what I am and what I did, no regrets though." Which, given the aplomb he threw himself into taking over turf with just for boredom, would not be out of character.
  • He's seen countless of overlords and sinners being nothing but the worst people imaginable even after. The show never mentions them because Vivzie doesn't like to have too many real-life historical figures or celebrities mentioned, but people like Adolf Hitler, Genghis Khan, Josef Stalin, and Jeffrey Dahmer, are/were all probably down there in the Pride Ring. He's also probably just seen the average sinner never even attempt to try redemption at all and just indulge in their worst vices.

Alastor gets his power through song.
Very fitting for a radio demon. Music could be a form of power in the afterlife. It also explains why Charlie transforms midsong multiple times. Perhaps Alastor wants to make sure no one finds out.

Alastor is lonely and a misfit himself
According to the comic Faustisse (a close friend of Vivziepop and worker on Hazbin Hotel) was streaming, there a third picture frame of Alastor looking slightly annoyed at the demons who ran away from him after just saying hello. It could be possible deep down Alastor is lonely because he can't even make new friends without people running in fear from him. Basically his only real friends are Husk and Niffty. He would grow fond of Charlie because of their same interest of singing and entertainment.
  • Reason for being a misfit? It could be possible out of the overlords, Alastor don’t always take his job seriously. Unlike the other overlords, he doesn’t really care about new turf, or money, he just likes entertainment and probably want to be treated like a regular demon. Also unlike the overlords, Alastor don’t really embrace the new modern stuff and sticking to what he feels comfortable which was the 1920-1930s.

Alastor is Lonely at the Top
He's one of the most powerful and feared demons in all of Hell, but that makes it next to impossible for him to meaningly interact with anyone around him. As shown in his prequel comic, most demons run for their lives the moment Alastor talks to them to make polite conversation. He makes a good show of hiding it, but living with that for decades must weigh heavily on him. It may prove one of the reasons he's backing the Hotel. His beliefs on redemption aside, Charlie believes in the concept enough to freely spend time with him almost completely without fear. Something he might desperately crave.

Alastor's powers physically drain him.
In both the pilot and the prequel comic "A Day In the Afterlife" we see Alastor show tremendous power over lesser demons with, seemingly, very little effort or care on his part. However, both instances share something - after he's done whatever it was he wanted to do, Alastor gets dark circles under his eyes and either proclaims that he's hungry or eats something immediately. This seems to indicate that big displays of power like what happened with Sir Pentious and the butcher are incredibly physically taxing for Alastor, which would also explain why he makes relatively quick work of them - he probably can't sustain that level of power for very long without hurting himself or getting too tired to continue. This might also be why he hasn't done the same to Vox, even though he clearly hates him - they're equals in terms of power, and Alastor doesn't actually feel confident enough to defeat him one-on-one.

Tying into the above, Charlie has more endurance than Alastor
While she's definitely outclassed by him in terms of raw power, she can use her abilities for longer without them draining her. Remember: after using her abilities during "Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow", she showed no signs of being tired or hungry.

Charlie's exact words to Alastor will come into play in an unexpected way
She specifically said that she ordered him to stay "as long as he desired" the obvious situation would be for him to use this to his advantage. But another way that this could come into play is that he winds up actually enjoying the company of everyone in a way that could fit into the above WMG that he's just lonely. But something could happen that makes Charlie angry enough to tell him to Get Out! only for something to literally stop him from leaving. Charlie will then realize that he can't leave because he doesn't want to leave and the two of them will work through whatever made her that angry in the first place.

Alastor is either a cousin or long-lost brother of Eda the Owl Lady
Both have pale skin, big eyes, sharp teeth, both can be quite hammy, both go against the norms of their society, and both love the color red. To add to that, both have an Animal Motif (Al has deer; Eda has owls) and have a close friendship with a smaller demon (Al has Niffty; Eda has King). Is it likely? No, but it would be funny to see the two of them interact as relatives.
  • The shows are pretty similar: a peppy female protagonist, a demonic setting and LGBTQ+ representation. That being said, since the The Owl House is kid-friendly while Hazbin Hotel isn't, little chance of this getting confirmed.

Stolas and Alastor will turn out to be on-and-off collaborators
Whether they're full-blown allies or not, they'll be on amicable terms and willing to help each other out.

Alastor can't shake hands with anyone unless he's making a deal
When he introduces himself to Charlie, he grabs her wrist, not her hand.
  • I would argue this was power play on his part since he pulls her into his space only after she won't shake his hand and is visibly disturbed by his presence.
    • Also, him and Charlie hold hands during his Reprise.

Alastor is the true Protagonist of Hazbin Hotel.
While I doubt Alastor and Charlie are ever going to fight each other, I think beyond minor villains like Sir Pentious, or villains deeply tied to the main characters’ like Valentino, the real conflict of the series will be between Charlie’s belief in redemption, and the Nihilism most people in hell favour, epitomised by Alastor. The final battle will be the one where one of them breaks down and admits the other is right. And Hazbin Hotel might be about Alastor getting his trio to help run a hotel founded by Charlie to do what he thought wasn't possible: get demons to heaven through rehab.

Alastor's MO as a serial killer was domestic abusers
The Radio Demon shows that while he's a massive troll, Alastor doesn't really seem to be interested in causing any serious harm to random passersby. It isn't until he hears the sheep demon girl screaming for help that he actually gets stabby.

In life, Alastor was a dark avenger of the weak
It's implied that Alastor has disdain for those who prey on the weak, as shown by his contempt for and subsequent murder of a butcher who was trying to rape and/or eat a woman. Moreover, Alastor meant "avenger" in Ancient Greek. This could indicate that he targeted those who hurt or exploited the helpless. Considering he was probably at least part black, being a Louisiana Creole who practiced Voodoo, it wouldn't be surprising if he especially liked to target violent racists.

Alastor is connected to the demon Furfur
We know from the existence of Stolas that the show's universe incorporates characters from Abrahamic demonology. Stolas is a figure from the Ars Goetia, which also includes Furfur, a part-deer demon who teaches divine secrets. Moreover, Furfur is known for carrying out acts of deliberate evil and having a very deceptive nature, both traits shared by Alastor. This is no coincidence: when he was alive, Alastor made a deal with Furfur, agreeing to dedicate his killings to Furfur or otherwise carry out the demon deer's will in the mortal realm. In exchange, Furfur would teach Alastor the divine secrets he knew, which Alastor used after he died to topple long-standing overlords and become extremely powerful. Whether he's still working for Furfur at this point is unclear, but what is clear is that Furfur had a profound influence on him, which is reflected in his appearance.

Alternately, Alastor is Furfur's son with a mortal woman
This would make a lot of sense, considering his similarities to Furfur and the fact that we have no idea who his father is at this point in time.

Alastor fought in World War I
He was about the right age to have done so when he was alive, and experiencing the horrors of war firsthand might help explain his outlook.

Alastor is the Token Good Teammate among the Pride Ring's Overlords
He has no territory as it is shown in his prequel comic and he seems to like causing chaos and mayhem but other than that he's friendly and polite to the other demons even with the butcher who he did give him a second chance not try to attack him again which he doesn't only attacking him when he attacks a female goat demon. It is possible that despite his sadism and condescending attitude, he does not want to have any more powers than he needs and it is possible that he wants to be treated like a regular demon like everyone else. He also keeps his word as he helps clean the hotel up and making it more tidy and he hates rapists and rape in general as he finds it distasteful and possibly harmful since rape is one of the worst crimes to be ever committed in the history of mankind and is very much one of the worst sins in the eyes of heaven, God and possibly most demons since some of them would have gone through the same thing along with they would have family members and friends who would be raped by these people as well.

Alastor didn't actually rise to power overnight, it just seemed like that
When Alastor first arrived in Hell, he wasn't as powerful as he is now. Whether he was deliberately laying low or not, he went unnoticed until his power had already grown to an impressive state and he began putting his plans into motion. By the time he caught wider attention, he'd become too powerful to stop. To most of Hell's denizens, it looked like he appeared out of nowhere; but in reality, it was a significantly longer and more careful process where he put his dominos in place, then gave them the push he needed to make his meteoric climb. Most people only saw the push.

Alastor invented "broadcast dealing"
According to Vaggie, Alastor was the first sinner to really shake things up in Hell. While there are many intricate theories as to why, another possibility is a far simpler idea: he came up with the idea of making deals en masse using a radio show. He got himself a talk show some time after arriving in Hell, ran a broadcast giveaway, and managed to get a few deals out of it. Realizing the possibilities, he took advantage of his show to make millions upon millions of minor deals normally not worth anyone's time, going from a fresh-faced new arrival to an overlord well above the cut without anyone the wiser.
He is, after all, the Radio Demon. A talk show man. Nobody saw his face. "Alastor" abruptly exploded onto the scene with nobody connecting him to his first talkshow in Hell, because what he did never happened before because he was the first to mix magic and technology like that. And it hasn't happened since because changes in technology advanced in subsequent years so his trick couldn't happen again, along with Hell having become too unstable for more recent dealmaking-friendly technology to have any real chance.
Sure, you can get someone to sell you their soul in a mobile game EULA, but all these digital systems are dependent on coding standards and infrastructure to work, while in 1930s radio, it was intrinsically standardized hardware because messing with that would just not work and you need only one small building to broadcast and consumers able to power their receivers. Television can work a pile of different ways and you can readily work across standards with extremely primitive digitization.

The microphone in Alastor's cane is sentient
It appears to autonomously respond to Alastor asking if it's on, and has a distinct voice from Alastor himself. Either it's another being altogether, or there's someone on the other end that we will meet in a later episode.

Alastor was one Dr. Facilier's partners
Cane, coat, charisma, and voodoo? There's no way he couldn't be!

Alastor made a Deal with the Devil in life.
It's part of where his abnormal power for a sinner comes from. When he was alive he made a deal either to be a radio host or simply more famous. We know demons can interact with the living world via grimoire, so this classic demon trait could be a thing.

Alastor is much more powerful than his 'rank' would suggest.
Information that has come out since the Pilot has revealed that A) the Overlords are more or less at the bottom of the totem pole of the powerful figures in hell and B) Charlie, being near the very top of that same totem pole, is much more powerful than she acts. But she still panicked when she realised that Alastor had come to the Hotel. Tying in with Vaggie's description of how the level of power he wields had never been harnessed by a Sinner before, and that he rivals some of Hell's most ancient evils, Alastor may actually be on par with the Goetias or even the Seven Deadly Sins, but due to his lack of interest in titles and the restrictions on Sinners in Hell, simply doesn't have an appropriate rank to reflect it.

Alastor isn't immensely powerful; he just appears that way because he's made deals with powerful demons.
The powers Alastor himself shows seem to be limited only to summoning, as seen with Nifty, Husk, the shadowy figures in his song, and the tentacles that destroyed the ship. This may be the extent of his powers, since a person who gets noticeably tired just from opening a portal for not that long would find it extremely hard to devastate Hell the way he was described as doing. The way he got to the top spot wasn't through raw power, but by careful dealmaking with demons that ensnared them into his service either for a long time or forever. The demons assumed he got so many powerful followers by being stronger than them, when in truth he's just incredibly charismatic and crafty, using his summoning powers to put his demons in the right place at the right time to add to his servants. The whole reason he's at the hotel is to trick Charlie into such a deal and add her power to his collection, since as the daughter of Lucifer she's capable of immense power and skill. If she and the others end up having to fight him, he would be much less threatening than they assume.

Alastor is in some way connected to Lilith's disappearance.
Both of them have been gone for exactly seven years. That can't be a coincidence...

Lilith is the one holding Alastor on a leash.
After all, they disappeared the same amount of time ago, and the queen of Hell would certainly be more powerful than an Overlord.

A powerful being owns Alastor's soul.
A Berserk Button for him, Alastor does the bidding of either the great cosmic Evil the angels fear, or one of the seraphim, hence why his radio shows aren’t for sinner’s entertainment but to remind them repeatedly they are doomed.
  • Confirmed as of Episode 5, though the identity of who exactly owns Alastor's soul is still up in the air as of this troper's edit.

Alastor is threatened by Lucifer’s relationship with Charlie.

According to Word of God, Alastor is a narcissist. Narcissists see friends and family as extensions of themselves, and Charlie is no exception. Alastor sees Charlie as his, in a twisted version of surrogate daughter. So Alastor’s beef with Lucifer is that since Lucifer is Charlie’s actual father, he is a threat to Alastor. Lucifer can take away what Alastor has. So Alastor spends his time undermining Lucifer as a powerful being and father.

The reason he's helping out Charlie so much - and the reason he needles Lucifer so much about being a Parental Substitute for Charlie - is that he's Lilith's new husband, and their overlapping seven-year disappearance was their honeymoon.

Alastor's cane is tied to his power and soul pact

Throughout the show Alastor never loses his smile and almost never lets go of his cane. Notably, he lets go during his big Episode 2 song takeover of Stayed Gone right before finishing the shift into his Radio Demon form. It's a rather dramatic close up, which could be for affect, but something about the way his hand twitches at the release and the care he seems to show it perhaps indicates something further. The cane definitely has an eye and perhaps sentience if the brief moment of speaking in the pilot is anything to go on, and while it seems a part of him it also seems distinctly separate. I believe it's possible this object was a gift provided with the trading of his soul, and it doesn't just amplify his voice but also amplifies his power.

Alastor has a way to perma-kill Sinners.
While Alastor could have used holy weapon to kill all of his victims, it doesn't seem his style - and his threat to Husk about "tearing his soul asunder" implies that however he kills people, he can do it himself. If he really is contracted to Lilith, it makes sense that he could have been given the fragment of divine power needed to inflict a permanent death.

Alastor is actually bound to Eve herself, rather than Lilith
Alastor has had a significant amount of power since rather early in his afterlife. His reputation was earned well before his little 'vacation', and well before Lilith disappeared. And of all the significant characters mentioned Eve is the only one we know nothing about yet. What if she hadn't disappeared as completely as suggested? What if she has it out for her would be husband? Waiting who knows how long while occasionally binding a useful sinner to her whims, until she catches wind of Charlie's plans, realizing much faster that would bring her to her goal...

Alastor does not think redemption is impossible, he's just exaggerating his true thoughts
Notice that even though Alastor makes it clear that he's only there for the entertainment value of watching sinners fail trying to redeem themselves, when people like Angel Dust, Sir Pentious, and Husk do slowly become better people, he does not interfere, and he even gives Mimzy a chance to truly redeem herself before telling her to leave the hotel.

Maybe deep down, he doesn't think redemption for a sinner is 100% impossible, but just rare. He knows it can be done, but he's likely seen too many sinners either fail or just straight up not even attempt to better themselves.

He just doesn't let Charlie and the gang know this because:

  1. He likes being the gang's token cynic with a trollish personality.
  2. Revealing this would show his vulnerable side, which is not what a narcissistic, power-hungry person like Alastor wants.

It's also possible that he doesn't want to redeem himself, because he enjoys being evil and in control and it truly makes him happy, but if a sinner thinks redemption is the only way for them to become happy? Then he's fine with that.

After all, all he wants is for people to smile.

Alastor will allow sinners to be redeemed, except for the souls he owns
We know that Alastor loves owning souls; he probably owns thousands. He might be fine with Angel Dust and Sir Pentious getting redeemed, because he never made a deal with them. But if Husk of Niffty slowly try to get redeemed, that's when he'll attempt to sabotage the hotel, because why would he want to lose control of these souls?

The overlords Alastor kidnapped and tortured were all Asshole Victims who absolutely deserved it
Basically, he likely kidnapped absolute scumbag demons who were Serial Killers, rapists, fascists, exploitative, over-priveledged douchebags, and Payed Evil Unto Evil by tortuing them.

Alastor wants to rule Hell, through Charlie.
He's rather stand-offish to the current ruler Lucifer, and tries to position himself like a Parental Substitute. The ending of Season 1 has him mentioning wanting to be the one to pull the strings, implying in some way he wants to be in control. Due to Charlie being the heir of Hell, Alastor wants to position himself as a friend so he can eventually become the power behind the throne. However as Alastor is more interested in entertainment this is less about him wanting power than it is free rein to do whatever he pleases, and being de-facto ruler of Hell would give him that. That, or it might just be he wants to the power to break free of his chains and gaining that sort of power will give him freedom.

Alastor was once a part of Cannibal Town
Alastor has a similar pale yet grey skin colour to the members of cannibal town. At the beginning of episode 2 he is seen eating a rotting corpse. He has the extremely sharp teeth of members of cannibal town and he is very close with Rosie.

Alastor is not a human soul at all; he's an ancient soulless Eldritch Abomination BOUND to a human soul
Alastor became notable for how he came practically out of nowhere, unusually and inexplicably powerful for a sinner soul from the moment he arrived in Hell, enough to remove several other much older Overlords on his own with trivial ease. We know his soul is "on a leash" to someone or something else. But rather than the source of his power being from him having made a Deal with the Devil, Alastor claims the deal is limiting his power and he needs to free himself from the deal to reach his full power, which makes no sense if his power comes from his "master".

The resolution to this paradaox is that Alastor is the "devil" who made the deal. He was an ancient evil Eldritch Abomination (no idea what it could be) that lacked a soul of its own and consequently could not manifest itself as a "person" as it lacked a proper consciousness, personality, or ego. The human serial killer who we think of as the "human" Alastor was contacted after death by this power and agreed to make a deal with it for power, but instead he was tricked and found his soul completely hijacked and used as the skeleton for the abomination to create the persona we now know as the demon Alastor, with the abomination in control rather than the human soul, finally allowing it to exist and manifest itself on at least one material plane. However, Alastor is now finding that this deal had unexpected drawbacks- it can barely access a fraction of its full power because it's limited by the potential of its host's soul, and it's now mortal and consequently vulnerable to potentially being killed by the likes of the Exorcists. But it can't just dismiss the deal without its host's agreement, and the host either won't or can't agree to break the contract, trapping the abomination in a trap of its own devising.

Alastor lost a large number of the souls he made deals with when he battled Vox seven years ago
Now Niffty and Husk are the only ones he has left.

"Alastor" is not his real name.
Alastor's name means "avenging spirit". It's so perfect for a serial killer that he likely gave it to himself as a Meaningful Rename. He keeps his birth name a secret either to avoid the I Know Your True Name trap, the name not fitting his brand, or both.

    Charlie's true nature
Charlie isn't a demon
Every other demon we see is a former sinner, and from dialogue it sounds like this is the norm, despite the fact sex seems to be extremely common. So one would expect at least a few unplanned pregnancies so why are Charlies parents seemingly the only demons capable of having kids? Simple, they aren't demons, assuming they match there mythological counterparts Lilith is a human and Lucifer is an Angel, and of course the Father of Lies would have a child whose entire life is a lie.

  • Jossed partially. Charlie is explicitly shown to have a demonic side and is considered a demon herself likely because her mother (depending on the author of the mythos surrounding her) is either a night demon (Jewish lore) or a human who is a mother of demons (Christian lore). However, there is still Lucifer being a Fallen Angel and not a demon to consider which means she could be partially angelic, though to what degree is uncertain.

Charlie is a succubus
In most Abrahamic traditions Lilith, Charlie's mother in this show, becomes the mother of succubi and incubi after she is rejected by Adam and cast out of Eden. This is kind of supported by Charlie being bisexual. Since succubi can feed on emotional energy, maybe this hotel is a subconscious attempt by Charlie to get a little variety in her diet.
  • That would also put the fact of her dating a former prostitute in a new light.
  • One of the ways succubi hunt is by sending good dreams to people. What is the best dream you can send to a demon in hell? The dream of Heaven.
  • All but Jossed by Episode 3 ("Spring Broken") of Helluva Boss, which shows succubi as a specific variant of Hell-born demon such as imps or hellhounds- who also don't look anything like Charlie, even the few glimpses we get of her full demonic form.

Charlie is a Nephilim
Lucifer is usually presented as a fallen angel, while Lilith was the first human woman (though she's clearly a demon now).

Charlie is an Exorcist Angel
During the intro song, the five Exorcists appear to the line "I wonder if it could be me." and the reveal of the centermost's face is synched to the word "me". During a Freeze-Frame Bonus, Charlie temporarily grows horns.

Charlie's possible demonic powers
  • Playing with Fire has been demonstrated, both in the form of conjured fireworks and a firey aura when her Game Face is on.
  • Superpowered demon form hinted at during her song.
  • Limited shapeshifting into other forms.
  • Abnormal Limb Rotation Range, up to and including the Exorcist Head.
  • Compelling Voice but doesn't like to use it.
  • Charlie is a Reality Warper, or at least very convincing illusions. She conjures up a piano before her song (With Katie and Tom looking shocked at its sudden appearance), and the Sugar Bowl scenery at the end of the song seems to vanish in fire, implying she created it in real time (not just an Imagine Spot).
  • Demon slaying, as her father is a fallen angel, she could kill a demon permanently, but really doesn't want to. Naturally she'll be forced to at some point.

Charlie likes screams and fire
Just something I noticed is that during ‘Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow’, Charlie gains a noticeable Slasher Smile a few times, two of these instances are when saying ‘Screams and ‘Fire’. So perhaps while Charlie is an All-Loving Hero, she could possess some interests as a result of being the princess of hell, that being actually finding joy in screams and fire. She does seem to have fire power herself so perhaps she was even the one to set Tom on fire.

Charlie is good specifically because she was born in hell.
Almost all demons are fallen angels and humans which were damned because of how terribly they acted. Charlie on the other hand was just unfortunate enough to be born to the wrong parents.

Both Charlie and Alastor hate Halloween
They're both powerful demons, some people try to summon demons on Halloween. Basically a lot of Inconvenient Summons on their part. Elaborate revenge schemes, petty pranks, one night stands, you name it.

Charlie doesn't just dislike "Charlotte".
Her full name is something like Charlotte Jezebel Antichristine Magne.

Charlie is Eve.
The opening narration never said what happened to Eve, and she hasn't even been mentioned since. All we currently know about her is that she had long hair, based on the opening. It isn't clear how or why, but Lucifer and Lilith arranged to have her be reborn as their daughter.

Charlie is Eve's Literal Split Personality.
Accepting the apple mutated Eve into the incarnation of pure evil known as Roo. Feeling guilty for her fate, Lucifer used his power to cleave what was left of Eve's goodness and turn it into baby Charlie. A future arc will be about Roo trying to reabsorb Charlie and grow in power.

    Charlie's plan and main plot
Demons can’t go to Heaven unless they repent
One of the requirements to go to Heaven is a sincere heart that truly regrets what they’ve done, repents, and begs for forgiveness from God. No one in Hell so far has shown any repentance for what they’ve done and thus, no matter how many good acts they do or how good of a person they become, they will not be allowed into heaven until they admit they sinned and ask for forgiveness.
  • Later in "Welcome To Heaven", it's finally revealed that not even the leadership of Heaven knows what it takes for a soul to get into Heaven, just when a soul arrives there, implying that some of the sinners that went to Hell were only sent there because of the broken system.

Sinners misunderstand why they are in Hell.
For example, the first thing Vaggie would mention, when asked how she got here, is that she was a prostitute. But her journey to Heaven will involve finding and atoning for what has really been weighting on her soul.
  • Tying in with this, there may be a point where they realize their ACTUAL sin, and can truly begin their redemption (a la the JACK webcomic)
    • Turns out that not even Heaven's leadership know what it actually takes to get there, implying that the overpopulation crisis is actually because the system is based on speculation on what a person did in life.

Charlie thinks it's possible to go to Heaven from Hell because she's seen the opposite happen
Vaggie was actually originally sent to Heaven, but she ended up in Hell for whatever reason. Charlie's hotel idea seems to be relatively recent, and it's not impossible that it was inspired by her girlfriend's own history, especially considering she probably only ended up in hell relatively recently in-universe.

One of the major Darkest Hour will be during the next purge.
Thoughout the show there will be numerous ominous shots of the countdown clock, both to establish how much time has passed and as a reminder that there's only X amount of time left before their next deadline. Throughout the story arc, Charlie will become more and more distressed as the timer ticks down and become near hysterical as it comes down to the last few days, especially if she hasn't managed to redeem anyone else to her standards.

The next extermination begins and, possibly unlike the other times, Charlie doesn't spend it holed up in a bunker somewhere, she instead opens up the Hotel to the numerous denizens of Hell who can't afford or find shelter from the Exorcists. Her friends will repeatedly try to convince her, and possibly even physically try and force her to stay off of the streets so she doesn't get killed. She doesn't listen of course and goes out in search of more people to shepherd to the hotel. She keeps trying to help, but several more selfish Demons take advantage of her generosity and this selfish act, even in the face of permanent death (probably combined with a bit of an ungrateful attitude from those she's already saved) finally gets to her and she simply starts to walk out into the line of fire with a dissonantly calm expression.

She's about to be vaporized or stabbed or something by an Exorcist when, suddenly, Angel Dust jumps in front of her and shields her. The Angel hesitates and Dust falls to his knees and begs them not to kill Charlie, offering himself in place of her. Charlie of course tries to stop him but Angel finally admits that he's a horrible person and that he doesn't deserve her, and that saving her is the one good thing he really knows how to do. The Angels all are astonished, but their leader is pleased to see this and even congratulates Angel Dust, offering to take him to Heaven, (much to the shock of the crowd that's gathered to watch.) Charlie is ecstatic but Angel refuses on the principle that he wants to stay and help Charlie.

The Angels leave and the purge ends early. Charlie now knows that someone can be definitively saved and redeemed and her hotel, which was mostly a joke up until now, finally has credibility due to the fact that the extermination actually halted because of her. Angel becomes a much better person after this, and possibly even goes to visit Heaven for a bit, providing an actual first-hand account for it.

Thus would end that story arc. This could work in various other ways with different characters in different roles, too.

The opening musical number isn't a prologue, but a glimpse at the future
The pilot will eventually be revealed to have shown two separate days: the first takes place a year in the future, while the second starts the story of how we reached that point. The opening song features both the end of one of Hell's annual purges (marked with the countdown resetting to 0) and a miserable Charlie singing about how she's always "chased rainbows" but now feels like a failure. The rest of the pilot after the song also takes place on a "day 0," but there's no confirmation that it's the same one we started with. Rather than taking place before the rest of the pilot, the opening number actually depicts the Darkest Hour later in the series' run: despite Charlie's attempts to help, another purge has taken place, and she now feels like everything she's done was All for Nothing. It might tie to below theory: Charlie is alone at the hotel after the latest purge. Where is Vaggie? Where is everyone? They are in Heaven, as redeemed sinners. But Charlie is a demon born in Hell, so there is nothing to redeem and thus no access to Heaven for her.

Charlie will succeed in redeeming sinners, but it will be inconsequential
In what would be a Bittersweet Ending (with a heavy dose of bitter), Charlie will succeed in her goals of redeeming people through the Happy Hotel... but she'll only succeed in redeeming the Hotel's staff, who would have, by now, been the only ones who had the time to actually become invested in Charlie's goals (sans Alastor, for foreseeable reasons), as well as potentially some of those people's friends and loved ones. She will achieve her goal of redeeming sinners, as well as proving that doing so is possible... but there will be no one left on her side to advocate for the fact, and no one left to encourage her to keep trying with complete strangers who would likely be far less receptive to the idea.

The series won't end with anyone leaving Hell
Because Hell will have been made a much better place, possibly not even called Hell anymore, because of their efforts and the Angels no longer see the need to do an extermination. One possible way they deal with overpopulation is simply enlarging Hell whenever its needed (which they didn't do before because none of the denizens had earned it, and why would they give more room for the multitudinous sin than they already did?)

Charlie's ultimate personal goal (or at least one of them) for the hotel will be the redemption of her Parents
Assuming she loves them, which is probable, Charlie probably grew up watching them both be horrible people and deep down not really enjoy it (given that the idea of Sin is that it can feel good short term but ultimately is very bad for you). Thus, with the examples of her parents, she started looking for alternate solutions and eventually decided on the Hotel. Based on what we saw in the Pilot, Lilith, Charlie's mother was probably the (relatively speaking) more supportive parent and the one who Charlie was closer to. Lucifer probably was very dissapointed in her for trying to indirectly upend his work corrupting Mankind and let her know. Wouldn't it be just like Charlie though to still love and try and save her parents in spite of them possibly/probably being some form of abusive towards her. This would also present the ultimate challenge as Charlie tries to reform the Original Sinner himself. If it works, then there could an emotional scene of Lucifer finally turning back to God a la Zuko and Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airebender. Possibly the reason that Charlie is so convinced that no one is beyond redemption is because she reasons that "well, my parents cared for me and they're the original sinners, so if they can do something good, then anyone can.
  • Regarding her parents, it may not be that Lucifer was ever disappointed or abusive towards her, so much as generally unavailable. Considering his station as Lord of Hell, it's possible that he just was never really around for her growing up. Heck, that could be what kickstarts his redeeming himself. The realization that power and the pursuit of it cost him time with his family.

Charlie will end up being offered redemption

At some point Charlie will be offered a chance to enter Heaven. Possibly happening in the finale, when everyone has given up hope and only Charlie still believes in the Hotel.

One possible outcome could be her declining the offer and instead choosing to remain in Hell and help the demons who may now believe in the possibility, having seen it first hand.

Or she finds out Heaven isn’t all it’s cracked up to be or worse e.g. forced to take part in the purge and decides to go back to Hell, possibly finding an alternative to the population crises e.g. a musical number for God.

Punishment in Hell comes from unlimited indulgence in the sins that got them damned.
Everyone's having sex, but STDs are rampant. Drugs are available from vending machines, but you need enough to OD to get high. Nothing's stopping you from causing untold pain and suffering to other people, and they can do the same to you.

The first case of actual redemption achieved through the Hazbin Hotel won't be through "a" demon, but a "pair" of demons.
As redemption isn't something one can achieve by themselves, but by only through asking God (or his "Son") for permission to enter Heaven themselves. The case in question, (Referred to as "Demon A" and "Demon B" for convenience) will get involved as Demon B tries to get redeemed while Demon A gets dragged along against all protests as company and wishes to have nothing to do with the place. After a prolonged journey of various promising and failed progress, Demon A, fed up by Demon B, finally has enough and does the one thing no demon with an ounce of self-respect would do. They ask Jesus Christ (Or God or the Holy Spirit) as nicely as possible for allowing Demon B to be forgiven and enter through the Gates of Heaven without expecting a single thing in return for it. After a delayed pause, and to Demon A's shock, it works, and Demon B (Now with a tiny halo over their head as a "passport") gets sent off to Heaven in an instant. Stunned, Demon A shines up as they're finally free of their obnoxious company and is about to celebrate, as a tiny halo appear over their head as well, (since Demon A, unknowingly, had committed a completely selfless act on the behalf for someone else and therefor fulfilled a criteria to earn forgiveness by the Heavens by accident) and before they can object, gets sent off to Heaven where Ex-Demon B is now waiting for them to catch up so they can explore the Heavens together, much to Ex-Demon A's anguish. All of it happening out of sight for most of the hotel staff, (sans one) who keep quiet as they realize that nobody would believe them if they told anyone.

Charlie will be forced to compromise her redemption ideals to keep to hotel open.
As it turns out Lucifer is not very big on charity. As bills pile up and clients like Angel staying rent free Charlie will have to use the hotel as a casino and bar to make ends meat.

Charlie is destined to become the Antichrist.
Vivziepop supposedly said that Lucifer and Satan are separate characters in this story. Also, six and a half minutes into Helluva Boss, a beggar can be seen holding a "Monee helps, Satan bless" sign, which would point to Satan being worshipped where Lucifer is only a king.
Theory: Lucifer has told Charlie that she is destined to lose hope for redemption, fully embrace the more demonic form seen during her song, and become Satan incarnate. She is fighting that fate, though her father keeps telling her that she can't win.

This series takes place in the same universe as Twisted Metal
One thing I noticed about the series is that a lot of people die. Most of them are also terrible people(I can count on one hand the characters that were good and stayed good). Sure would explain why Hell is overpopulated. Calypso is hinted to be come kind of demon and with his power, he could be a possible Overlord that escaped back to Earth.

The show will deal with more than just individual redemption, but societal themes
With regards Angel Dust, there are plenty of areas where he can improve as a person on an individual basis (stop substance abusing, be less self-centred and more empathetic), but this alone arguably won't be enough for Charlie to redeem him: he'd likely have to cut ties with Valentino, given that he is trapped with an abusive boss who likely wouldn't want him leaving the studio so easily and would prefer him being immoral since it makes him easier to control. The series will likely also have to look at the environments that breed bad people as well as the personal responsibility of people to do better, especially with regards the monopoly the Overlords have, to provide a complete picture of redemption, especially since Angel (and people in similar situations to him) just up and leaving Valentino could be dangerous for him personally. In other words, the heavy themes set up in "ADDICT" naturally suggest that while Angel and the other patrons can all become better people, there are also far greater evils in Hell and it's hard to improve one without addressing the other.

The falling silhouettes in "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows" are foreshadowing the demons who will be redeemed
If I'm correct in guessing which ones are which, this would mean the following cast members will be redeemed by the Hotel and (presumably) end up going to Heaven:
  • Angel Dust (makes sense, as he's their first client)
  • Sir Pentious
  • Cherri Bomb
  • Niffty
  • Baxter (the angler fish guy who hasn't appeared yet)
  • The scarecrow-looking guy from Cherri's part of "ADDICT" (name unknown)
There are a few others I can't recognize.
  • Sir Pentious has been redeemed. No confirmation on the others.

One shot in "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows" is foreshadowing for something big
Namely, the shot where someone bearing a striking resemblance to Lucifer is apparently influenced by another demon to drive away "Charlie". Somebody's going to turn Charlie's father against her.

The Exorcists will try to stop the hotel and its mission.
Feeling threatened by the hotel, the Exorcists will target it solely come next year's purge. Completely ignoring the rest of hell just for the one hotel and everyone who's squatting there.
  • Confirmed. Adam and Lute from the Exorcists don't really believe that sinners can be redeemed and deserve to be in Hell forever. After Sera rigs the court case in Heaven in Adam's favor despite Charlie showing otherwise that sinners can change for the better and sends Charlie and Vaggie back to Hell, Adam states that he and the other Exorcists were planning to attack the Hotel first during the next upcoming extermination.

Thanks to the fist fight and probably Alastor, Charlie’s reputation is going to boost up
It’s clear that the demons of Hell don’t take Charlie seriously due to her goals and personaitly. However during the fist fight scene, you can hear the demons cheering on during the fight. They were probably impressed that Charlie isn’t some pushover wimp. Even during her song, some of the demons was shocked when she turned into her final demon form showing that Charlie can be a badass only if she needs too.

  • And it's most likely once the demons hear that Charlie friends with Alastor, they will know not to mess with her because Alastor would know and destroy them.

  • Even Vivziepop said how the demons don’t take Charlie seriously due to her goals and status. However, she said that if Charlie becomes tougher then the demons would respect her more. Which is most likely will happen later on in the series.

The show will have just as much drama as comedy
HH is a comedy, no doubt about that. But good comedy needs to match the story and setting, and the setting of HH is not an easy one to put comedy in. HH material keeps giving signs that HH is going to shed light on current issues of today, poverty, homelessness, exploitation, corruption, lgbt expression, sexism, trust, depression, etc. It seems that demons are portrayed as the downtrodden of the immortal plane, and even the richest demons could pale in comparison to the poorest angel. All of this demands drama and quiet moments of reflection, emotion, happiness, sorrow, anger, hope, etc. And heroes trying to do all in their power to help fellow demons and trhemselves find the light in themselves. So comedy needed for this setting and story needs to be precise and clever, and not prone to defaulting to vulgar South Park like comedy. It also needs to be in the correct amount. Use it too little, the show becomes too depressing. Use it too much, and the show neglects the the times when you need to be serious. In other words, the comedy needs discipline and focus.

  • Confirmed. It's has a clear balance of both fast-paced, raunchy comedy and slow, bone-shaking drama.

Charlie might be so disgusted with both Heaven and Hell, she'll decide to overthrow them both
.Based off what we've seen from this show and Helluva Boss, Heaven doesn't seem to be much better of a place. Deerie, an angelic being who should be kind, was even less sympathetic to her own fellow angelic beings than Charlie was to actual criminals like Angel Dust. That's not even getting into the fact that Heaven is keen on exterminating sinners, something she herself wishes wouldn't happen.

If the angels are this horrid, I doubt they would have anymore respect for Charlie than the denizens of Hell. Someone like Deerie might hate her just because she was the spawn of Satan.

So, when faced with an unsymathetic Heaven, and seeing her own residents being wiped out every year, Charlie will decide to overthrow both Heaven and Hell.

There will be at least a few episodes of Charlie being a huge butt monkey
One thing she needs to learn is to be tougher with the many disrespectful demons that would treat her harshly. And what better way to do that than by having her subjected to constant slapstick at the hands of some of them?

If the theories about Heaven being awful are true, then Charlie will become so disillusioned by what she finds in Heaven that she snap and decided to destroy everything and give up hope.

Armageddon will play a major role.
How do you go even higher than the yearly Exterminations? How about a calamitous war between Heaven and Hell that will end with all of Hell, sinner, imp, hellhound, succubus, Goetia, and fallen angel alike, exterminated, as well as the destruction of Earth. All that will be left is eternal Heaven, which Helluva Boss has shown isn't such a good thing. Potentially, Charlie may try to redeem sinners to prove to Heaven that even demons are capable of change in order to make Judgement Day moot. Charlie may even be destined to fulfill the Antichrist role, yet will try to Screw Destiny.
  • Extension of that theory, Charlie was born in the year 1000, she was supposed to be the Antichrist and Armageddon was supposed to happen in the year 1030 or 1034, during which she was supposed to battle Christ. But she so loved the world that she asked for extension and a chance to prove that sinners can be redeemed. Now Charlie is panicking, because the deadline is getting near and she hasn't redeemed a single sinner to Heaven standards in that time.

There is no magical ascension to Heaven through redemption, the only way for a demon to reach Heaven is by having an angel forgive them and physically carry them in
Everone in universe just blindly assumes that if someone deserves redemption, they'll just automatically teleport to Heaven, but it's not that straightforward. There must be enough trust and forgiveness from someone in Heaven that they are willing to come down to Hell and carry the repentant demon to Heaven. And it's not an automatic "turn good"-button, either. The demon could still relapse while in Heaven, just like a real life criminal or addict. But the message of the show will be that it's still worthwhile to try and help, even if it doesn't work out every single time.

Charlie will kill Alastor
In the possibility that not only does Alastor not try redemption, but he starts to sabotage the hotel and get in the way of Charlie's plans, Charlie will first attempt to reason with him multiple times. But if all he shows is a desire to cause misery towards everyone, especially Charlie's friends, Charlie will snap and permanently end Alastor. Which is what Alastor wants.

    Alastor's plot and endgame plan
Alastor wants to use the Hotel to create a less absurdly jaded populace.
As he mentioned, he is terribly, incredibly bored. Alastor's a serial killer, he gets his kicks by not only killing people, but preying on the fear, shock, and horror it generates. But this is Hell, where the morning news interviews Jeffrey Dahmer about his latest book on how to cook and eat human bodies, and where death is cheap. People may fear Alastor in the moment, but they're too jaded to give him the fear he craves. As he mentioned during his own version of 'Every Demon is a Rainbow', he doesn't just want to watch demons fail for kicks, he wants to 'chlorinate the cesspool' and teach the denizens of hell how to have a little class.

Alastor wants to be redeemed but he just doesn't think it's possible. If Charlie CAN do it he wants to be there for his own chance

While it is likely Alastor might have more sinister motives for backing the hotel beyond some twisted amusement, it is possible he could actually become invested in the hotel's success. Perhaps someone might actually change, causing a change of heart in Alastor.

Alastor's real endgame.
One of two things will happen thanks to his influence. Either the percieved status quo will change thanks to Charlie which will be very entertaining or Charlie will suffer a complete meltdown over her failure and Alastor will get to see the full potential of one of the most powerful demons in existence which would also be very entertaining. Charlie after all is the direct blood of Lucifer himself whom everybody fears enough not to mess with which means her potential power is very high.

Alastor is actually a good guy. In fact, he is a Stealth Mentor to Charlie and is putting on a facade of evil

Alastor has professed that he is investing in the hotel because he thinks it is funny to see others try and fail. But there are hints that he isn't as malevolent as he is made out to be.

1. He gets the door slammed on him twice by Charlie in his first scene but instead of forcing his way in or stopping her, he just waits for her to open them again and when she does he asks her may he speak now politely which she tells him he can so he continues on greeting her and tells her what a pleasure it is to meet her which is when he does not speak in a radio voice just then clearly being sincere about wanting to meet her.

2. He could've easily snuffed out Vaggie when she pointed a spear at him, but didn't.

3. Husk, after being summoned by Alastor, openly cusses Alastor out for rudely interrupting his poker game, despite being more then aware that Alastor is very dangerous. Alastor, despite having the ability to threaten Husk into doing what he wants, instead offers him a boon (cheap booze) to get him to work for the hotel voluntarily. If Alastor was really awful, then Husk would have any reservations about cussing him out.

4. Despite having toppled demon overlords, Alastor doesn't seem to hold a position of power in Hell. He just spends most of his time doing his own thing.

5. He offers to cook others jambalaya.

6. Niffty seems to be fond of him.

7. The only people he has hurt (onscreen) are Sir Pentuious and the rapist Butcher. And those two (especially the latter) had it coming.

Perhaps Alastor has been working to subvert hell and redeem others, but he is pretending to be evil so that he can cloak his actions under the radar of Hell's truly malevolent power brokers. Charlie's hotel is the chance he's been waiting for. So while he'll behave like the hilariously fiendish demon we've come to know, he'll actually give Charlie the help she needs in a way that protects her from the machination of Hell's true monsters.

Alastor's deal was actually a Secret Test of Character for Charlie
If Alastor secretly has benevolent intentions, perhaps his attempt at "handshaking" was testing Charlie. Alastor wants someone who is optimistic enough to believe in others, but isn't naïve or desperate enough to make a Luciferian pact.

The demon Alastor really wants to see fail is Charlie.
  • By his own admission, Alastor wants to see the denizens of hell scramble for a chance to get out of hell only to sink even deeper into despair when it's reaffirmed that it's impossible; to see them try as hard as they can to prove they're better than they are and watch them break as they realize it's not true. Nobody at the Hotel is trying harder than Charlie, and nobody will be hurt as badly if it all falls apart. As the only person in Hell who doesn't objectively deserve it, Charlie's despair would likely be far more entertaining for someone as fixated on human suffering as Alastor is.

Alastor is going to attempt to overrun Charlie's role as royalty of Hell
He's a tyrant feared by all residents of Hell who know him and even Charlie, who should know exactly how his thought process works since the many overpowerings Alastor has committed through history and was even born in Hell. Consider his sketchy plan in the perspective of it being a Xanatos Gambit: he helps the hotel gain more traction than Angel Dust did (before causing a turf war that was deemed 'breaking news' to compensate for his credibility). This helps the hotel's populus that agrees with rehabilitation to rise, having demons open up more to the idea of rehabilitation, going against his word of them being irredeemable; the other possible outcome being that the rehabilitation fails, and Alastor is "entertained" by Charlie's downfall and how right he is about demons being irredeemable. When his word is defied, he tries to improve his image, and even using an emotion other than smiling to convince other denizens to attend, that his personality is out of the range of "tyrannical, powerful overlord with a large ham" and admire him more than Charlie, since the attendees never once believed Charlie's plan worked, and since that would convince them that Alastor has more sense than Charlie, ignoring his past actions completely due to how effectively Alastor can convince others (Charlie merely allowing him to help is enough evidence that he can do it). Alastor is actually acting out his changes on the long-term so Charlie, her parents, and even her closest acquaintances are convinced, revealing said long-term lie to exclusively Charlie about him changing out of his tyrannical ways for exposition to give the protagonist a chance to battle back against his motivations, only to fail when she finds out how difficult it is to defeat him. Charlie attempts to rally everyone Alastor has convinced on her behalf to attend the hotel and the near-redeemed against him, but since no one, not even Vaggie (who was visibly agitated by his assault toward her in the reprise of "Inside Of Every Demon Is A Rainbow"), believes that Alastor's lying, he's in the perfect position to overpower Charlie and eradicate those who haven't been fully redeemed yet.

It's just an idea that more considers the logistics of Alastor himself, and his widely known past.

Alastor's plans involve corrupting Charlie and/or making sure she's a firm ally of his
Wouldn't having someone like her in his corner be a serious advantage?Or perhaps he intends to corrupt her so that she will give up on redemption and the hotel?

Basically in an ironic twist of fate, the most nihilistic and pessimistic member of the whole series will be the one to be redeemed, while the others will lose hope due to some event (A major death), while something prompts Alastor to finally turn good and get out of Hell.

Alastor is working for Lilith
We know Lilith is more supportive of Charlie's idea than Lucifer. Maybe she recruited him when he came to Hell, granting him great power in exchange for him either working for her on either a permanent basis or doing things for her when she asks, and tasked him with helping out at the Hotel decades later.

Alastor owns the Jackpot Hotel, and Husk is a manager there and/or its mascot
It would explain how he seems to know about hotel management, and why Husk's face is on it. Maybe Husk made a deal with Alastor that would involve him getting to live in a casino.

Alastor owned a cat when he was alive
Whether he was a cat person or not remains to be seen.

Alastor is genuinely trying to help Charlie succeed, but for entirely amoral and personal reasons.
What's Alastor's justification for why he's helping her if he doesn't think she can succeed? "Sheer, absolute boredom" and a desire for entertainment. Sure, he says he wants to see the clients try and fail, but there may be another way he intends to get his kicks.

Alastor is a remorseless cannibalistic serial killer, who still lives by his own idiosyncratic moral code (which so far mostly concerns kids and rape victims). Most of his actions are specifically intended to get a rise out of people. His goals are only determined by his personal sense of aesthetics and his desire to cause as much chaos as possible. When he was alive, killing and eating people he deemed worthy of death was more than enough to accomplish this. Hell, however, doesn't feel quite the same. Sure, he's more powerful than ever and can kill with near impunity, but it's not special anymore. Nearly everyone around him is just as depraved as himself, and nowhere near as classy. Even being an Overlord is a position he shares with people like Vox, who he considers beneath him. The things that made him a force of fear and power on Earth just make him another demon among many in Hell.

Charlie's plan offers him something different, something that lets him actually cause problems and face a challenge for the first time since he died. When you're in the universe's dumping ground of evil and sin, what's the only real taboo? Doing something noble and good. Sure, Alastor might not believe in her plans at the moment, and he probably did mean what he said about it being amusing to see her fail. But at the same time, how exciting would it be for them to succeed? Doing something that everyone said was impossible? Sticking it to whatever powers in Heaven and Hell are responsible for the current status quo? Perhaps even defying God himself? Rubbing that vapid newsanchor Katie Killjoy's nose in it all? As unlikely as he thinks it all is, the remote possibility is too rich for him to pass up.

Alastor actually DOES think that sinners can be redeemed.
And in fact, WANTS this to happen. Not out of any sense of altruism, but the prequel comic and Vaggie's recollection of his backstory make it clear he gets the most entertainment out of causing people to turn on each other. If it becomes known that redemption is possible, it would completely destroy the current sociopolitical landscape of Hell and cause the Overlords to scramble in order to retain their power. If it doesn't work, Alastor still gets the entertainment of watching people fail.

Alastor wants to merge the afterlifes together.
If we are to take his word for it, the Radio Demon is after chaos and complete overhaul of the status quo. You don't get more chaotic than Heaven and Hell being forced together.

Alastor will be the Big Bad after all
By his own admission, he mostly just funded the hotel for sheer sadism and his subplot seems to just be him doing his own agenda, possibly an Evil Plan meant to take advantage of Charlie's power by gaining her trust through the hotel.

After all the show's main villains are defeated: the Three Vees, Adam, etc. Alastor will step up as the series' final antagonist and betrays Charlie or at the very least attempts to reign supreme in hell once more, revealing what his evil plan was the entire time. The final season or episodes will be about stopping Alastor by either attempting to redeem him or having Charlie kill him outright, proving that, yes, not everyone deserves redemption or simply cannot be redeemed.

Alastor is working with Lilith on a project.
During the first few episodes of Season 1, it's been made abundantly clear that Alastor has, for some reason or another, been missing from Hell for the past seven years, with him claiming that it was a "sabbatical". In addition, shortly after the first episode's intro, Charlie and Vaggie mention that it's also been seven years since Charlie heard from her mother, which is especially unusual since she's one of Hell's monarchs and would normally be seen somewhere. The opening introduction also makes it clear that while The Devil Is a Loser and Lucifer has long since lost his hope for humanity, Lilith has thrived in Hell so much so that the Exterminations were started to stop her from going to war against Heaven. Since Lilith's songs seem to be magical and part of the threat she poses to Heaven, and she needs an army for a potential war, Alastor is a perfect aide for her, as the widespread audience of his radio show helps with both of those issues - and Alastor has been shown looking into the background of the Exterminator's death.
  • This was given fresh legs in "Dad Beat Dad", as Husk goads Alastor over the fact that even an Overlord as powerful as he is has his "own leash" to deal with - Lilith would be one of the few powerful enough to grant him that kind of power, and she may have sent him to help with Charlie's project in part to look after her daughter.

Alastor simply wants to be free of Lilith
Going along with the theory of Lilith owning his soul, "Dad Beat Dad" and "The Show Must Go On" reveals he is distraught by being on (possibly) Lilith's leash, this also might explain his willingness to manipulate Charlie into making a deal with him in "Hello Rosie". Secretly showing to be a Nervous Wreck after his near-death encounter with Adam revealed that he's looking for a way out of their contract binding him from reaching his full potential, Alastor believes that Charlie might be able to persuade or convince Lilith to free him from his bond, hence the real reason why he's supporting her redemption idea, in order to gain her trust as a reliable ally, he may be following Lilith's instructions to watch over her daughter in her absence and assisting Charlie's dream, but he's simply playing the long game to liberate his soul. This also explains why he isn't interested in obtaining Charlie's soul and settles for a simple favor, for all his power he knows better than to truly enrage Lilith and Lucifer if they find out about him owning their daughter's soul, and would certainly be out powered by their weight class, and a (relatively) small and (seemingly) harmless favor would at the very least make them annoyed, irritated, angry and distrustful of him at best. After all he said that he'll support the hotel as a means of entertaining himself if demons fail to be redeemed which may be true, but as a Noble Demon, it'll also ties into the Exact Words of Charlie's condition to their deal, he won't ask her to hurt anyone, he'll be asking her to help him with his "situation".

Alastor's dismissal of Mimzy was part of his plan.
With Alastor now threatened by Lucifer serving as another sponsor of the hotel, he needed to step up his "importance" or perceived connection to the hotel in order to keep his position. Mimzy was an important person to him - an actual friend of his from life, who is so precious to him that even when she only ever visits to escape trouble, Alastor doesn't care, only thinking about how he can handle it rather than anything about Mimzy's use of him. And, given how long they've been in Hell together, this is a friendship that has likely lasted for almost a century with this dynamic. But now, Alastor can, without any deception, claim that he quite possibly ended such a near and dear friendship just to keep the Hazbin Hotel from any more trouble that could be brought. Charlie could very well become even more attached to Alastor and feel even more indebted to him over that "sacrifice", when his only motivation was that very feeling of gratitude.

Alastor is on Roo's leash
As of "The Show Must Go On", it's unlikely Alastor is bound by Lilith like previously thought, as she had made a deal herself with Adam to be in Heaven. The only other enigmatic character the fandom knows of is Roo, making her a decent candidate.

Alastor gains freedom by finding humility
Alastor has shown over and over that he hates not being in charge/being the most powerful. This has even proven to his detriment; it wasn't his fight with Adam to save the hotel that cost him, it was his determination that he could take him head on without angelic steel. If he had armed his shadows like he did with the giant shield against Adam, he would have had him in one. His pride mandated that he win only with himself, and immediately after he can't he sings with all his souls about wishing for freedom and a way out of his contract. Alastor's tale could take a similar flavor from that of Faust, where in a moment that he lowers his pride, accepts help not his own, and wins, he breaks the control.

Alastor made his deal before he died with the intention of ruling Hell
His rise to power came overnight, so he clearly understood the mechanics of Hell, what Overlords were, how to disable them despite being freshly there.

Alastor made his deal with a Lovecraftian deity rather than a demon
Azathoth's Tears being a known event in hell mixed with his very Lovecraftian tentacle based powers, along with him being friendly with a 20s flapper aesthetic Mimzy give a thematic connection to the Mythos, and his radio broadcast is very much like how the Color Out of Space (albeit in sound form) consuming the Overlords he overthrew by force and broadcasting their screams gives off such a vibe as well, assuming those Deities are not also demons.

Alastor's favor will free himself and enslave Charlie.
In "Hello, Rosie!", Alastor gets Charlie to make a deal; his knowledge on the Exorcists in exchange for a favor that will not harm anyone. We know from "The Show Must Go On" that he's in a deal with some greater power and he's desperate to escape it. Alastor will use the favor Charlie owes him to force her to take his place in service to whatever power has him leashed. After all, it doesn't harm anyone if Charlie is Made a Slave in his stead.

Alastor's soul being owned may have resulted from a near-death experience during an extermination.
In "Scrambled Eggs", Zestial tells Alastor rumors people have spread about al falling to "holy arms", with Alastor merely dismissing it, but what if it was closer to the truth than he's willing to admit? Over the years, Alastor's power began to diminish due to radio being passed over in favor of new forms of entertainment and production, so during an extermination 7 years ago, he wounds up overpowered by an exorcist and gets fatally wounded, only to be save by a more powerful figure (Lilith, Roo, or someone else) and offered to give him some of their power in exchange for his soul, Al in a state of fear and desperation agreed to being in their servitude but kept it too himself to save face. This might give an in-depth explanation on his character, being reminded of his leash isn't just a Beserk Button, but also a Trauma Button that he keeps behind his politeness and sadism to hide his fears and vulnerabilities, which is why he threatened Husk for bringing it up. He was annoyed by Camilla dismissing his absence because he's afraid of people forgetting about him, and he flees the battle against Adam when the latter has the upper hand and is shown distressed afterwards because he's experiencing a panic attack over the prospect of almost getting killed again. He aids Charlie in her hotel in hopes that she can help free him from his deal, and as he told her, is a Stepford Smiler believing that it'll make everyone believe he's the one in control. Like Al said "Just because you see a smile, don't think you know what's going on underneath".

    Saint Peter
Peter will talk about his infamous death
It's going to either be Played for Laughs and talk about how he hates satanists appropriating it, or it gets Played for Drama and talks about how it was brutal but ultimately did it to serve God.

Peter has immense power due to being the gatekeeper of Heaven
Before dying, Peter held his own against the guards, sword in hand. A bonified badass. What's to say that he's actually one of the most powerful characters in the show after ascending into heaven. Being a gatekeeper has to give him some powers. He's probably even more powerful than Alastor or Adam.

Future episodes/Cameos and minor plot points
Demons will try to sabotage Hazbin Hotel.
Because there's always people who would rather see people brought down to their level instead of self improvement.

Angel Dust isn’t really going clean
Angel mentions to Cherri that Charlie and Vaggie offered him a room free, so it's most likely he's just staying at the hotel so he wouldn’t be homeless. Plus Cherri is his best friend and basically admitted where he’s at and what he’s doing. He wouldn’t lie to her since she’s one of the few people that he trust the most to spill his guts too. Also he most likely loves Hell because how he have friends and is free to be how he wants to be.

Charlie will find out what Angel Dust said to Cherri Bomb.
Charlie will find out that Angel is exploiting the Happy Hotel's hospitality as a place to live rent free. This will leave her devastated and go into a minor Heroic BSoD.

Show will have recurring extras.
Some of them might even achieve Memetic Bystander status.

Possible future voice actors.
If Helluva Boss could get Richard Steven Horvitz, it's entirely possible they'll be able to rope in other notable voice actors for the Hazbin franchise in the future.

Mimzy, Baxter and Crymini will get a Second Episode Introduction
Mimzy will likely be the first of them to check into the hotel, due to her Monster Fangirl crush on Alastor. Baxter and Crymini will probably have more clear "arcs" introducing them in the episode.

Fandom Shout Outs in the future
The creators of the series are always vocal and supportive of the various songs and artwork done by fans of the series. Once the series goes live, some of these fan creations will sneak their way into the show proper in tribute. A list of possible references:
  • Like when he hummed "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile", Alastor will hum a few bars of The Living Tombstone's "Alastor's Game".

An episode will focus around Razzle and Dazzle helping keep the hotel afloat.
We could use some character development for those adorable little hell beasts.

Possible running gags.
  • Charlie absentmindedly using her demonic powers.
  • Alastor randomly offers jambalaya.
  • Alastor randomly shoving Vaggie off-screen for no reason.
  • Niffty's obsessive behavior around men who stay at the hotel.
  • Every time Angel Dust tries to get some drugs, something ruins it for him.
  • Charlie musing on mundane mortal questions, like the origins of specific swear words, foods, and why existentialism exists in the first place.
  • Razzle and Dazzle accidentally make huge messes while trying to help.
  • That demon from the beginning of the pilot. (The one that was run over.) Will be in constant denial that he's a demon and in hell.
  • Occasionally, Alastor will make a dad joke, and Angel will always be on hand to suffer for it.
  • Alastor's hello always being interuppted.

Mythical, biblical, literary and historical figures will appear
Leave possibilities bellow.
  • Jeffrey Dahmer is already confirmed to exist in the Hazbin Hotel universe.
  • The axe-woman might have been Lizzie Borden.
  • Adolf Hitler - he has been in a lot of fiction's depictions of Hell (ex. Little Nicky, The Book of Mormon) so it's very possible if not likely he'll get an appearance or at least mentioned.
  • Genghis Khan
  • Vlad the Impaler - His demon incarnation would have a vampire motif
  • Jack the Ripper
  • John Wayne Gacy - he'll be depicted as a clown demon
  • Ted Bundy
  • Heinrich Himmler
  • Bonnie and Clyde - since we’ve seen demons who were obviously Wild West outlaws in life.
  • Rollo the Walker - for some context. https://youtube.com/watch?v=IOnjG7ocZmI and The House of Normandy.
  • Judas Iscariot
  • Zeus
  • Faust
  • Mao Zedong
  • Caligula
  • Richard Ramirez. He was a Satanist in life, so why not?
  • Benjamin Barker/Sweeney Todd. A barber who killed his victims who then got turned into meat pies sounds like a character who would definitely be there. Also he's refered to as "The Demon Barber".
  • Jim Jones, who will be depicted as a spiked Kool Aid salesman.

Background characters and their backgrounds.
Some theories on what the lives of the background demons were like and what they did to get sent to Hell.
  • The huge lizard demon at the bar mocking Charlie - He was a gang member in life.
  • The dragon demon at the bar with the knives and leather jacket - He was deliquent greaser in the 50's.
  • The insect demon at the bar in the suit and fedora - He was mobster in life, and died from a bee sting, hence his insectoid design.
  • The blue demon with the horns at the bar - He was an alcoholic wife-beater.
  • The demons playing pool during Charlie's interview - Obviously all Wild West outlaws and Dastardly Whiplash-type villains.
  • The cowboy demon smoking in the beginning - Also an outlaw from the Wild West.
  • The demon with the meat juice-stained apron carting away the corpses - A butcher in life who was also a killer, and sold the meat of his victims to customers.
  • The blonde demon in the lab coat with the red glasses - A scientist in life. She was arrogant about her intellect, looking down on anyone whom she deemed less intelligent than her.
    • Alternatively, they were a scientist who relied on extremely evil methods to "advance science" (grave robbing, abduction, unethical/cruel experimentation, etc), thus earning their damnation.
    • The series reveals that she is actually a daughter of one of the overlords, Carmilla Carmine, and works as a weapons collector for her, so it is more likely that she was thrown in Hell for aiding her mother in whatever crimes the latter committed.
  • The cameraman who calls Charlie a "stupid bitch" - He was a cameraman for a news station and a party clown who worked around children, but hated both of his jobs. He was openly a Jerkass towards the children he was supposed to entertain, and was constantly snarking cruel remarks at the newscasters during his cameraman job. He was cursed in the afterlife to look like a clown and to be a cameraman for Katie Killjoy's show.
  • The white, polka-dotted lizard demon with the pink hair - She was a deliquent punk girl in life.
  • The black goat demon with the pentagram on his forehead - A Satanist in life who sacrificed animals for his rituals, namely goats.
  • The Egyptian-looking demon - Lived in Ancient Egypt. Was always very greedy and hogged up gold for herself.
  • The computer demon with the top hat and red, glowing face at Charlie's interview - They were a corrupt CEO/Executive of a major computer company. The kind who lied, stole, cheated, and used their skills with computers for evil (hacking other workers and companies to utterly ruin them, spying on people for personal gain, blackmailing the higher-ups to basically operate unchecked, et al).
  • The blue demon with the tie, circular mouth, and many eyes - A White Collar Worker who despised his job. He murdered his boss and committed suicide.
  • The cobra demon with the plaid shirt and bowtie - A very cruel and arrogant movie director who died after getting bit by a cobra while filming a movie out in a foreign country.
  • The obese red demon reading what looks like a porn magazine - An incel (he even looks like a stereotypical one) Basement-Dweller who cyberbullied and was a general misogynist.
  • The demons crucifying other demons - Corrupt priests who are trying to crucify other demons in a fruitless attempt to gain back God's favor.
  • The possum demon with the crying babies - A housewife who cheated on her husband with multiple men, now cursed to take care of multiple babies in the afterlife.
  • The bird demon with the white fox scarf - A Rich Bitch who killed animals for their valuable fur.
  • The Audrey II-esque plant demon with the glasses - Was a secretary who loyally worked for a Corrupt Corporate Executive who often destroyed the environment to help his business. She was cursed to look like the thing that she helped her boss destroy.
  • The furry, white demon with black eyes and antlers next to the plant - A serial killer who always murdered people around Christmas and buried his victims in snow. He died on Christmas Eve of hypothermia when a blizzard suddenly hit while waiting for his next victim to return home.
  • The Day of the Dead-looking demon - She was a graverobber from Mexico.
  • The demon who says "Wow, that was shit" after Charlie's song - He was a cartoonist in the early 1900's. His design looks somewhat reminiscent of a blackface cartoon, so he was probably a massive racist who created such cartoons, and cursed to look like his own creations.
  • The giant brown, furry demon in the hockey mask - Obviously a psycho killer in life. He died of a bear attack, which is why he looks very ursine.
  • The pink-wearing, blonde rabid dog demon - A Rich Bitch. She didn't bother to give her purse dog vaccines, and thus contracted and died from rabies.
  • The demon in the "Crew" shirt - A motorcylist and metalhead who died in a motorcyle crash. He was an all-around unpleasant bully who was always beating people up and picking fights.
  • The blue flaming skull demon next to Alastor during the interview - A ranch owner who would abuse his cows, now cursed to look like a cow skull. He died in a grassland fire.
  • Tom Trench was sent to WWI, leaving a loving girlfriend/wife behind as he died in the 1918 German Spring Offensive. His lascivious comments and random knowledge of porn stars suggest he was a young man and never got to consumate his marriage before he left for the trenches.
  • Katie Killjoy, as per her profile, was a failed reporter. She died chasing down a celebrity/politician rumored to be gay, pestering them with loaded questions—constantly. For weeks. She was hit by a bus trying to run across a street to corner her mark.
    • Given Katie's homophobia, she may have started the rumors just to have a story; or even been blackmailing the person.

Reality to Characters

According to Vivziepop, each of the characters will get hit with reality and this what could hit them:

  • Charlie: Her reality would be that redeeming demons is harder than she thought it is.
    • You can't fork your problems over to someone else, even if they promise to take perfect care of them.

  • Vaggie: As much as she loves Charlie, her reality would be that she have to let Charlie make choices of her own and can’t keep protecting her all the time.
    • Lashing out at others still alienates those you don't want to hurt.

  • Angel Dust: His could be that it’s okay to let out your true feelings and his relationship with Valentino isn’t healthy.

  • Alastor: Deep down despite being a feared demon, Alastor is lonely and just want some real friends who like him for him.
    • Putting on an air of Perfect Evil Badass just means everyone is going to cling behind you for protection and blame you when you make a mistake. No matter how powerful you think (or even know) you are, you can still have one bad day where it all goes wrong.

  • Nifty: Not even going to Hell excuses her for clinging to outdated racist/sexist 1950's ideals.
    • While there's nothing wrong with choosing a "traditional" lifestyle if one genuinely wants to, trying to impose it on others and/or judging them for not following one is not okay.

  • Husk: Drinking isn’t gonna solve anything.
    • Being a dick to everyone just adds more problems.
    • Gambling can and will ruing your life.

  • Katie Killjoy: She would realize that she’s not big as thought of being and how she’s actually one of the most hated demons in hell. It could secretly hurt her that nobody (not even Charlie) would care if she died.
    • She's not as important as she thinks she is, especially after burning more bridges than EA.

  • Tom Trench: Katie doesn’t treat him right or even share the spotlight with him. Eventually he would stand up to her saying he’s tired of being Katie’s punching bag.
    • Or he could just blog about Katie's off-screen condescension and elitism until even Hell can't stomach her facade. He's not a hero or even a good person, but he can still make a difference.

  • Lucifer Magne: People can change. Maybe he thinks the hotel will fail because he knew God to be unmoving and authoritarian, the man who banished him to Hell for one disagreement. Lucifer might have to realize that people can change over time and, while they might have hurt you in the past, that pain shouldn't keep you from forgiving.

Ideas for episodes
  • The hotel staff and guests go around sharing the stories of their lives.
  • Charlie confronts an Absurd Phobia. Like... clowns, or something equally silly for a demon princess.
  • Everyone but Charlie and Alastor lose their memories.
  • The soul of a killer robot comes to Hell.
  • A Babysitting Episode focused on the children of Hell, or possibly a human infant who wound up in Hell due to some demon who scammed a human out of their first born. This builds off of the Word of God reveals in the livestream about the hotel staff's ability to deal with children.
  • An episode where Alastor and Vaggie are forced to work together.
  • An episode focusing on what inspired Charlie to create the hotel in the first place.
  • An episode about how Charlie and Vaggie met and became a couple.
  • A story about a hellborn demon who wants to go to heaven through redemption. It will open the question of whether the demons born in Hell can, or need to, be redeemed and will delve more into the psyche and motivations of Charlie herself.
  • The cast takes a trip to Lu Lu World.
  • The cast finds a way into the human world, possibly coming across I.M.P.
  • Vaggie being forced to confront the very real possibility that she and Charlie may never see each other again if she manages to redeem herself.
  • A Villain Episode dedicated to Valentino, Vox, and Velvette.
  • An episode all of the Hazbin characters are grounded and it shows what each character does in their room
  • A beach episode, Alastor can't swim and Husk doesn't like water.
  • An episode where the staff try to rehabilitate the Biblical sinners (Judas, Herod, Jezebel, etc.)
  • An Origins Episode where we see how each cast member sans Charlie died.
  • A murder mystery episode... ...Where Alastor is the detectivce.
  • An episode focusing on Lucifer and Lilith.

The entire main group will be True Companions by the end
Due to hardships they endured together.
  • As of the Season One finale, we can safely say this is confirmed.

Charlie and Alastor will both try to change the other
Alastor will try to push Charlie to the dark side, while she'll try to draw him into the light.

Alastor will take a liking to podcasts
It's a medium with a lot of similarities to radio and can get his listeners more engaged. This can also be a sign of character growth as he loses his Evil Luddite attitude and warms up a bit to modern technology, perhaps indicating that he's also open to other kinds of change.

Ideas for how different characters could be redeemed
  • Sir Pentious
    • After one defeat too many, he's out of options and resources and drags himself in disgrace to the one place he knows will take him in. He plans to just use the Hotel as a recuperation point until he can start his campaign again, but winds up actually liking it because people treat him nicely there. He eventually finds that he doesn't want to leave and even winds up admitting fondness for his Egg Boi Minions (who've started acting like Hotel Staff and are loving it). One possible other reason would be an admission that the reason he wants to take over Hell is because he had a son who he loved immensely, but who went to Heaven. Thus, the only way he feels like someone as evil as him could ever see said son again would be to conquer Hell and use it to take over Heaven (no matter how impossible that really is). When redemption is offered as another way to see his son again, he eventually decides to at least try.

  • Cherri Bomb
    • Assuming that Angel Dust does indeed clean up his act and become a better person eventually, he'll no doubt want to help his friend. What he and Cherri Bomb showed seemed genuine and
it's possibly the best chance they have to get her to give redemption a shot. If successful, Cherri could end up becoming one of the guards of the Hotel, given that she likes to scrap. She probably too would still love fighting but instead channels that energy into figuring out ways to protect the hotel (as some powerful people possibly want to destroy it by now).

  • Tom Trench
    • Similar to Sir Pentious, he possibly finally gets kicked out of the studio due to Katie Killjoy and/or his boss getting tired of him. Charlie takes pity on him and, (possibly because he'll be near Angel Dust) he accepts her offer of residence in the Hotel. Mostly the fact that people actually respect him and treat him with kindness would be the major factor in his redemption.
    • Alternatively, he, after another hard day with enduring Killjoy's existence at work, recalls the "crazy princess' hotel idea" while walking the streets and decides to pass by just to have a laugh. He ends up chocking on it as he sees firsthand that the infamous "Radio Demon" is staying there, and what more, sponsoring the place by himself in "support" of the princess. Gobsmacked, and once the initial shock settles down, Tom imagines there being a bigger story involved and in the prospect of getting ahead of Killjoy for once, decides to play it as a "undercover-reporter" and has himself checked in as a guest in order to get to the bottom of the mystery while under the pretense of "redemption rehabilitation". All while he keeps working at his job in the studio at the side while slowly getting more confident in himself as he works on a bigger story in secret than Killjoy could ever imagine. Alastor of course figures Tom out early on, and being the sadist he is, decides to string the reporter along for personal amusement for a prolonged stay at the Hazbin Hotel.

  • Katie Killjoy
    • Perhaps Killjoy, like many people in media, finds herself out of a job for the most spurious of reasons. In desperation, she turns to the girl she badmouthed more then anyone. When she hits a low point, Katie opens up to Charlie about the stress of her life and how its driven her to be so rude to everyone.

"Die Young" will make an appearance in the franchise in the future.
Vivienne has said it to be her favorite song, and it would make a nice Mythology Gag, as her most popular animation before Hazbin was released was an Animated Music Video of the song. It helps that many users have made Black Comedy jokes about the song's title, which fits the Hazbin franchise's humor perfectly.

Several demons from the Ars Goetia will appear.
We already know from Helluva' Boss that the Goetic demons are their own group in Hell but if you read the book you'll learn that not only are some of the demons from it are surprisingly benevolent but that four in particular (Marchosias, Amy, Focalor and Phenex) actually want to be redeemed and return to Heaven which would set up their appearance in the show. It will also cause somekind of commotion in Hell society given that the Goetia demons seem to be of very high status in the inferno.

Angel Dust and Husk will have a romantic plotline/story arc/subplot
While Angel simply hitting on Husk wouldn't be enough to support this, since Angel's a massive slut, and neither would the two having compatible orientations, there's still some evidence for this in-show. Angel seems to be genuinely attracted to Husk, since he goes wide-eyed when he arrives at the hotel and tackles Vaggie when she objects to Alastor making him the bartender. This could be explained by him wanting reliable access to booze, but his immediate reaction is to hit on Husk, not order a drink. While his first line to Alastor is an offer to blow him, he doesn't have the same reaction to seeing him. As for Husk, the Instagram posts show that he genuinely cares about Angel, even if he denies it. Their interactions on Instagram also come off as a bit flirty at times. We know Angel is going to get a boyfriend. And perhaps the biggest piece of evidence supporting it is the fact that Vivziepop openly likes fanart shipping them, which she doesn't do for any other fan pairing. Were there an office pool, this would probably be a safe bet.
As for how their relationship might progress... it might lead to both of them becoming better people. They don't just exist as a potential couple, they exist as a pair of broken addicts who are deeply unhappy in their own ways. Seems like they could each offer something the other needs. Husk is deeply insecure and considers himself unlovable — Angel is capable of offering him support for his low self-esteem. Angel is trapped in an abusive relationship and surrounded by people who only want him for his body — Husk could offer him a way out and somebody who loves him for who he is. We could see Husk learning to love again and becoming more cheerful, while Angel starts to actually enjoy life again. Maybe this causes them to drop their respective bad habits. Or maybe Angel starts worrying that his job is a betrayal of Husk and has an epiphany that he genuinely loves him, which causes him to not only want to leave Valentino's business, but to leave sex work altogether.
  • Confirmed. In Episode 4, 'Masquerade', Angel and Husk bond, and since then Husk has become a lot more willing to smile and show affection, while Husk's friendship is the catalyst for Angel committing to becoming a better person and more honest. Vivziepop has confirmed she intends to make their relationship a slow-burn.

Husk and Niffty will have to choose between Alastor and the friends they made at the hotel
Whether Alastor betrays the hotel or not, they'll have to pick one or the other.

If the theories about Heaven being awful are true, than Charlie's attempts to redeem sinners won't work. If Deerie is willing to cast out her own Cherubs for an accident, how welcoming do you think she'll be of people who have spent time in Hell and are guilty of some kind of sin? Even if the angels were willing to accept sinners who reformed, Heaven might be such a cruel, weary, and exclusionary place that they might actually prefer Hell.

In the end, being a good person will turn out to be an utterly futile gesture, since Heaven either shafts you or gives you nothing of value.

Charlie will be horribly disillusioned by what she finds in Heaven. But she also knows that Lucifer's way isn't working either. In a fit of defiance, she decides to set up her own afterlife; A place where a middle ground between order and chaos, safety and freedom, and liberty and responsibility can exist.

Essentially, she would be in rebellion against both Heaven AND Hell.

Both Heaven and Lucifer will join up to take down Charlie, possibly even joining forces. But Charlie will unite the sympathetic souls of Hell (Angel, Vaggie, Mrs. Mayberry) and the sympathetic souls of Heaven (the C.H.E.R.U.Bs who were unfairly cast out of Heaven) to build an army that will fight for a better world where a middle ground between too much Chaos and too much Order can exist.

The primary cause of the show's Darkest Hour will be one of Sir Pentious' schemes actually succeeding.
Following his humiliation by Alastor, Pentious will swear revenge and launch an elaborate plan to destroy the hotel Once an Episode, which will always go wrong in spectacular ways. However in the penultimate episode his plot will provide an opportunity for the Exorcists/the current Big Bad(s) to attack. Pentious will be horrified by this, as he greatly enjoys being a Card-Carrying Villain but doesn't want to be actually hated and feared, which he first experiences after this, which could prove to be his personal path to redemption.

One of the episodes will center around Valentino hiring an incredibly powerful mercenary of sorts to take back Angel Dust when he finds out about the hotel, with it possibly being a multi-parter centered around him actually succeeding in kidnapping Angel Dust and a scuffle between Charlie and/or Alastor versus Valentino to get him back.

Damian from Zoophobia, also by Vivziepop, will cameo.
Since Satan and Lucifer are separate beings, Damian will be Satan's son and prince of the Wrath Ring.

The Overlords were powerful or infamous people in life, explaining their power in Hell.

  • As we all know, Alastor was a radio show host and a serial killer.
  • Vox was a television star who ran a talk show.
  • Valentino was a sex trafficker who ran a pornography ring.
  • Velvette was a famous fashion designer and social media influence.
  • Carmilla was an illegal weapons dealer and crime lord.
  • Zestial was an evil aristocrat.

Purgatory will appear at some point.
It will be portrayed as a Mundane Afterlife full of morally grey souls, and will be ruled over by The Grim Reaper or some variation of him.

Emily will be in trouble or on trial when next we see her.
For using the embassy communication system to inform Lucifer that Adam was going to try and kill Charlie without permission from Sera. This allowed Lucifer to intervene because Adam broke the treaty which lead to the deaths of numerous angels.

Cherri Bomb will join the Hotel so she can be with Sir Pentious again
It's clear that she has now returned his feelings, and now decides to fill the void he left behind in his honor.

There will be a Fetch Quest arc.
Once it is proven that demons are redeemable, Heaven and Hell will need a new beef. The Hidden Villain who started the rumor about a demon uprising to incite the Exterminations will steal important heavenly treasures (attributes associated with the archangels, e.g. Michael's sword or Gabriel's horn) and frame Hell. Charlie and her friends will have to prevent all out war by finding the treasures and catching the real thief.

One of the archangels is a traitor.
Lucifer was originally one of the seven archangels who rule Heaven together. After he fell, another angel was chosen to fill his vacant seat. The new archangel eventually realized that Lucifer's six siblings would welcome him back with open arms if he ever repented, and, afraid of losing the power and status, they will resort to dirty tricks to make sure Lucifer and Heaven stay estranged.

Overlap and connections with Helluva Boss
Helluva Boss characters and Hazbin Hotel characters will have cameos in each other's shows
They're both set in the exact same Hell, so why not?

Helluva Boss Immediate Murder Professionals (I.M.P) and the Happy Hotel will become rival companies
Again, why not? Their goals would directly oppose each other- Charlie wants to redeem people and get them to Heaven, while Blitz is essentially advertising an alternative that allows people to tie up any loose ends that they had in life with no redemption required. Why change for the better when you can rest satisfied knowing that you can call someone to kill someone else you had a grievance with and can continue an eternity of debauched hedonism?

A crossover with Helluva Boss with begin with past victims checking into the hotel
If Eddie and the Murder family have become demons, and have checked into the Hotel, Blitzo might fear that if they are reformed, I.M.P will be undermined, and try to get Charlie to evict them. But Charlie refuses to, thus the conflict begins.

Mrs. Mayberry from Helluva Boss will be one of the Hotel patrons.
She seems like a perfect candidate, murder-suicide and hiring I.M.P aside she was a relatively good person and her cynicism seems to stem from the fact that one bad thing was enough to send her to Hell, she also seemed to lighten up at the "Killed the Bitch" party that I.M.P threw after killing Martha for her. She might actually try to use the Hotels services to get another chance to go to heaven now that her anger issues are resolved by Martha's death.
  • She might also turn out to be on the run from Martha and her family now that they're all down in Hell with her.
  • However, while the fandom feels sympathy towards her, considering she displayed signs of suffering from mental illness and her only damning action was murdering her cheating husband and trying to murder Martha (who, granted, would have deserved it), the show will still have to call her out. Murdering your unfaithful husband is still murder, and she didn't know Martha was a cannibal serial killer, so to the best of Mayberry's knowledge, she was simply a promiscuous homewrecker, which is also no justification for murder, no matter how satisfying it would have been at the time. The immorality didn't go mentioned in Helluva Boss because morality is much less of a concern there, but Hazbin Hotel, as a show about redemption, would have to.

Deerie will be a major antagonist for Charlie
In her short screentime, Deerie revealed herself to be an incredibly strict being with a narrow idea of good and bad and quite a nasty attitude to boot. She kicked out three loyal Cherubs for an accidental death caused in part by I.M.P.note  From this, it can be gathered that she believes every sinner, no matter their crime (even someone who was guilty of jaywalking), deserves to be damned for all eternity. She would probably be opposed to Charlie's goal of redeeming sinners.
Charlie: I thought you believed in redemption?
Deerie: Oh, no, their souls are too contaminated to come back, yeah, no, sorry.
Charlie: But...but...
Deerie: Yeah, no, your idea of redemption is basically impossible, sorry...

Deerie is the character responsible for the exterminations
When you see Deerie's own cruel attitude toward the C.H.E.R.U.Bs, suddenly Heaven's extermination campaign makes a ton of sense: if she can't even show even the slightest amount of forgiveness for her own followers, she probably has even far less sympathy toward sinners and the inhabitants of Hell. She'd probably hurt Charlie just for being the daughter of Lucifer, and not because she did anything wrong.
Charlie: (in tears) Why are you doing this?
Deerie: Sorry, yeah, you're the daughter of Lucifer, so you got to go, yeah, sorry.
Charlie: But..
Deerie: Yeah, sorry, no, yeah...

Collin will enlist himself as Charlie's minion
Collin is permanently banned from Heaven, his coworkers abuse him frequently, and there are signs that he has a low opinion of how Heaven is run anyway. At this point, Charlie is the closest he can get to serving a good-aligned archangel, and she might be even better than all his previous bosses combined.

Martha will make a cameo in Cannibal Town... as a meal
She was a cannibal in life, so it would make sense for her to try to live in the town after death. However, the other cannibals seem to all have a vintage aesthetic and eat outsiders, so it's likely she'll end up on the dinner plate.

The Rest of the Sins will make appearances in future episodes

The Goetias are descended from fallen angels
Several of the angels of the Heavenly court are avian in appearance, just like how all the Goetias seen so far are all birds. It would explain why the caste is so powerful, as they have angelic blood and thus are more powerful than other demons.

Possible future voice actors — musical theatre edition
Since Hazbin seems to lean towards using actors who have done musicals on Broadway or in film, some possible actors who could appear are:

Leviathan and the Envy ring will show up here instead of Helluva Boss.
While they can be The Ghost legal-related reasons prevents characters from one series straight up showing up in the other. So far three Sins haven't appeared in either show; Satan, Belphegor and Leviathan. Of them, Leviathan is the only one who's ring hasn't been seen and hasn't even been referenced yet. Granted another one of the other two could show up, or Leviathan could even be saved for a potential third series/spin-off, but out of the three she feels the easiest to introduce without treading on Helluva Boss' territory.

The inventors in “C.H.E.R.U.B.” are Sir Pentious’ descendants.
The Hazbin pilot heavily implies Pentious had a son, so he could easily have descendants who lived into the 21st century. The inventors’ old-timey aesthetic would be their way of honoring their ancestor, with their For Science! mentality possibly being Pentious’ when he was alive, and he only realized Being Evil Sucks after more than a century in Hell.

    Crossovers/shared universes
Someone's a Time Lord
Because it's a tradition
  • Probably Alastor.

Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss share a universe with Brandon Rogers' videos
We already know that Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss take place in the same Hell. We also know that most of Brandon Rogers' videos take place in a shared universe. Brandon Rogers is co-writer of Helluva Boss, and voice of main character, Blitzo. A character that looks just like Brandon's character Flint Dicker appears in the Helluva Boss pilot. It seems very likely that they could share a universe. Maybe people turn into cartoons when they enter Hell. The living world is live-action but is shown through an animated filter in Helluva Boss, or maybe some other explanation.

The Extermination isn't carried out by angels.
That's a cover story, fabricated in an unprecedented bout of cooperation between Heaven and Hell. The truth is that one man is responsible for the purge, and it happens so often that the new citizens of Hell have been gaslit into believing that it's a yearly occurrence. You see, it all started when the hordes of Hell invaded Earth, and one demon decided to kill someone's pet bunny...
  • As for why the angels are there? They’re the ones who have to subdue Doomguy.

Before Cherri Bomb died, she was a vault hunter
It wasn't said how she died, or where, and there were humans on Pandora. She definitely has the makings, not to mention the skills, to be a vault hunter so it could be possible.

There will be a crossover with Zoophobia
Inspired by this video, which proposes Zoophobia is an Alternate Universe created by the same God who made the Hazbin-verse. Maybe the show will go the route of the later seasons of Supernatural, and introduce The Multiverse created by God, though it won't overshadow the overarching plot of either work.

Carmilla Carmine was the vampire Carmilla
She has a bat theme, which was more emphasized in older designs. Her daughters Clara and Odette could be vampires she created during her unlife, explaining why they look so different from Carmine and each other save for their blood-red eyes.

Carmilla Carmine was Carmen
Carmilla has a very noticeable Spanish element to her music, with Spanish guitars and castanets being prominent; her surname is almost an homophone for Carmen; in the opera Carmen was canonically a smuggler; and Carmen’s most famous aria is all about Love.

Carmilla Carmine has THE Holy Hand Grenade and the Book of Armaments in her possession
The Holy Hand Grenade will be one of the most powerful Angelic Weapons to have ever been created, able to eliminate multiple Sinners with a single explosion. Thus, it's kept under lock and key to ensure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. In the event it is brought out, one must read chapter 2, verses nine through twenty one, from the Book of Armaments in order to ensure it's used properly.

Husk is Dr. Facilier.
They both share an enjoyment for gambling, both sold their souls for power, share the same fashion sense (namely top hats) and are both voiced by Keith David.

    Meta
Alastor is partly based on Dr. Facilier.
Let's count the similarities. They're both tall and lean. They both lived in Louisiana during the 1920s (though Alastor died in 1933). They both have shadows that can move independently of them. They're both associated with voodoo. They're both sharp-dressed and carry canes. They both have a propensity for making deals. They're both very charismatic and showy. And those are just the obvious things and things we know for sure. There's also reason to believe other similarities may exist, such as similar ethnicities (Alastor is said to be Creole, and Facilier is light-skinned enough for it to be plausible he's mixed-race).
Obviously, Alastor isn't actually Facilier after his death, hence why this isn't in the "crossovers" folder, but the similarities are too common and too easily noticed to write off.
  • There are now even more similarities between the two, as in Dad Beat Dad, Alastor was revealed to be serving a mysterious greater entity, similar to Facilier and his "Friends on the Other Side", and wanting to escape their masters' hold over them.
There will be trading cards released before Season 2.

    Other
The ominous horned figure in "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows" is Satan.
Whoever he is, he seems to have some kind of power over the top-hatted figure implied to be Lucifer. And considering the hints that Satan is in a league of his own compared to other figures in Hell...
  • Partially Jossed Satan does exist in the Hazbin/Helluva universe, as one of the Seven Deadly Sins, but Lucifer outranks him. Doesn't mean he isn't the horned figure, however.

Alastor's hatred of dogs extends to Hellhounds too
This will cause some problems if the hotel gets some hellhounds as guests, or if he ever comes across Crymini or Loona at some point.

Leviathan is the patriarch of the von Eldritch family
In Biblical lore, the Leviathan is a sea creature. The von Eldritch family all have designs that take cues from sea creatures, and one of the sons is named Seviathan. Moreover, some takes on demonology claim Leviathan to be one of the Princes of Hell, and having such high status would explain why his family was in a photo with Lucifer's family, and it would explain how Helsa and Seviathan met Charlie in the first place.
  • This will also tie into Helsa's rivalry with Charlie. There are different rings of Hell based on the seven deadly sins and Leviathan represents envy. The reason she hates Charlie so much is because Helsa resents that fact that the Magne family rule hell and not the Eldritch family.

Hazbin Hotel will gain a Screen-to-Stage Adaptation at some point.
It's no secret that Viv is a big theater fan, to the point of casting a lot of Broadway actors in Helluva Boss, so getting a live stage adaptation of one of her works would probably be a dream come true for her.

Alastor doesn't like to be called the "Radio Demon" for reasons
He finds that it doesn't truely represent everything that he embodies and/or that it prevents him from connecting with others, like a pedestal of some sort. It's also lazy sounding to him as well.

There will be a bunny-like character named Ashley
And the first thing everybody says to her is "Oh, Ashley..."

If the series will be a 65-Episode Cartoon...
It will have 5 seasons, each with 13 episodes
  • Each episode of the first 4 seasons will be set on a week, leading up to the next purge. Since that would make 52 episodes, and a year is usually 52 weeks. Episode 1 will be set on Week 1, Episode 2 will be set on Week 2, and so on and so forth until Episode 52 on Week 52
    • The final 13 episodes/fifth and final season will be a massive story arc set on the day of the Purge. Where Charlie and her friends attempt to save as much demons from the slayers and/or pitch their idea to the Heaven Officials
      • Partially jossed. Charlie made her pitch to Adam in the first episode, and to heaven in the 6th episode, both of Season 1.

Possible Ideas for future antagonists
With Sir Pentious, Vox, and Valentino, as one of the antagonists of Hazbin Hotel, there are a few other possibilities of what antagonists might appear in the web series itself.

Possible Ideas for future demon characters
  • The Devil
  • Sauron
  • Sathanas

There will have more Fourth Wall Breaks
Well, The pilot of the show cannot be the only episode to have one, but it will be likely that the characters will be breaking the fourth wall in the future.

There will be an in-universe acknowledgement of the redesigns
Someone will point out that the characters looking different, and it will be explained as either a new style, or they'll act like they always looked like this.

An in-universe reason for the redesigns
God fiddled with the universe for reasons known only to the Almighty. It's also to explain the different voices and designs in Helluva Boss.
The "you" Angel keeps referring to in "Poison" is Valentino
Confirmed!
Alastor and Lilith have met before
Charlie mentions that Lilith has been missing for 7 years and Alastor himself was also gone for the same duration before returning back. Considering the timing, its possible that Lilith made a deal with Alastor to help with Charlie's hotel in exchange for her soul.
  • While this theory is still a possibility with the idea of a deal happening, the reveal that somebody owns Alastors soul inverts the theory of the deal in that it might have actually been Alastor who gave his soul to Lilith, and that is the reason he is helping with the hotel.

Roo is Eve.
A confirmed and mysterious new character named Roo has been making the rounds in the fandom. It has been theorized that "Roo" is short for "Root of all evil", and, as the first human to commit a sin, Eve could certainly be considered the metaphorical root of all that's wrong with the world. Additionally, "root" brings to mind botanical imagery, so her Sinner form could have been a tree to reflect the Tree of Knowledge.
  • In that case her demon form is supposed to symbolize Eve vomiting sin from the apple.

There'll be a Take That! at Elon Musk involving Vox at some point.
He's a demon in charge of a corporation producing Hell's technology and thinks of himself as the future. The jokes write themselves.

There'll be a Take That! to the infamous Verbalase fiasco.
Specifically, a porn movie made by Valentino to slander Charlie.
  • Or, alternatively, someone could jokingly ask Charlie if she's been busy "chasing black dudes down the street again", to which Charlie will understandably reply with a very confused Flat "What".

It's why she's so overprotective of them in Hell. She already watched them die once and she's not going to let it happen again.

Zestial was a vampire when he was alive.
Just look at him. Dude has "vampire" written all over him. Plus, with demons, angels and possibly ghosts being canonically real in this universe, why not vampires? On that note, willingly becoming a vampire might be why he ended up in Hell in the first place.

Baxter (the Mad Scientist anglerfish demon who's been teased in promotional material and made a cameo in episode 2) is transgender.
He's a male anglerfish with a lure, which isn't how male anglerfish typically work. Either Baxter transitioned after his death or he was transmasc when he was alive (perhaps without fully realizing it, considering that he died in the 1910s) and his demon form altered his body to reflect his gender identity

The Extermination is going to fail miserably, and this forces the Seraphim to agree to at least hear Charlie’s proposal out.
In the trailer we see hints that the denizens of Hell will rally to stand against the Exorcists. So building on that, they make preperations, gather the troops. When the Exorcists come they meet intense resistance, with Lucifer himself joining the fight. As the Exorcists suffer increased casualties Adam suffers a Villainous Breakdown to the point of attacking Charlie and other non-Sinners (even calling Lilith a white and cursing how she DARED to reject him.)

Ultimately though, the bad showing, as well as Adam’s increasingly unstable behavior angers many of heaven’s citizens enough that Sera is forced to finally act (Emily might even assist the residents of the Hotel). This results in the Exterminations not only being discontinued but Adam and Lute being kicked out (cue desperate begging from Adam).

Mimzy was an accessory/willing accomplice to Alastor's crimes when they were alive.
She seems fairly casual about his evil acts. Perhaps she assisted Alastor with covering up his murders.

"Loser, Baby" will be reprised, only this time, the singers will be Angel Dust and Vaggie
After the bombshell of her being a Fallen Angel is revealed, Vaggie will fall into despair over how badly she screwed up. In response, Angel Dust will do his own version of "Loser, Baby", pointing out that everyone is Hell is a screw up in some way or another, which will cheer her up and convince her that, yes, she does have a chance to make things right with Charlie.

The final song of the series will be a reprise of "Happy Day in Hell"
With the change that now Charlie isn't alone in the joyful singing.
  • Confirmed, the last song for season 1 is even appropriately called "Finale".

All the exorcists' weapons from the final battle of season 1 were given to Carmine
It was a thank you from the Hotel for supporting them and giving them the info needed to come out on top.

Abel isn't in Heaven or Hell.
Adam is supposedly the first soul in Heaven, despite that in Biblical lore Abel would've been killed by Cain. It could be that Abel was judged a sinner (maybe unfairly, maybe he was an Asshole Victim), it could be that he doesn't exist here and was in fact in-universe propaganda (like how Lucifer was misinterpreted as power hungry for the divine throne instead of the jaded dreamer he really is) could be that as the first ever human to died, and murdered no less, his afterlife was more...unique. Instead of being saved or damned, Abel's spirit lingered as a spirit, the very first ghost, never to enter Heaven OR Hell. If they go down the route that the Joker Immunity implied with the Mark of Cain means Cain is cursed with immortality, Abel following him as a ghost would be damning him without killing him, along with potentially another sign that the afterlife system as is is inherently screwed up.

The lone surviving Egg Boi is Frank

After the battle, the surviving cannibals took their own dead along with the Exorcists to eat
As affable as they are, they're still cannibals, and it may even be a practice of theirs.
  • It may even be their version of a funeral or a way to honor their dead.

Assuming Lucifer implying he seduced Eve wasn't him framing the apple in a sexual way to piss off Adam, he's Cain's father, not Adam
In some Jewish folklore, Eve slept with Samael, an angel who is commonly depicted in media as Lucifer pre-Fall, to produce Cain. As elements of Samael's story, like him being Lilith's husband, are applied to Hellaverse Lucifer, it's possible that bit of folklore is true.

Cain and Abel's sisters Aclima, Azura, and Jumella are canon to the Hellvaverse
Since it incorporates more esoteric elements, such as Lilith being Adam's first wife.

Zestial is Vlad the Impaler
Wouldn't it make sense for the guy whose design practically screams vampire to have been the guy who inspired Dracula?

The von Eldritch family were cultists worshiping an Eldritch Abomination in life
It would explain their appearance, as well as how they became powerful Overlords: they have Lovecraftian forces behind them like Alastor uses voodoo. Frederick being powerful enough to rub elbows with Lucifer when the King derides even Alastor could be because Great Old Ones are more powerful than loa. Stolas promised to take Octavia to see "Azathoth's Tears", implying Lovecraft's pantheon has at least enough impact that Hell names an astrological phenomenon after them.

The von Eldritches managed to bypass the rule that Sinners can only be in Pride
Since Frederick seems chummy with Lucifer himself, he probably got his family exempted from the rule that they must be in the Pride Ring to be picked off by Exorcists. Given their tentacle aesthetic, they likely live in Envy, the Leviathan's domain.

If they appear, Pestilence, War, and Famine will be used to commentate on current world events
Pestilence and War are obvious, but Famine can be used to commentate on the climate crisis, which is causing food prices to go up, which is what Famine actually does in the Book of Revelation.
  • Pestilence: An anti-vaxx/anti-mask conspiracy theorist who's banking on stupid humans believing in his lies.
  • War: A demagouge Type-2 Eagleland politician stoking hostilities both in America and with other countries.
  • Famine: A fast food mogul, both due to fast food having so little nutritional value that people still die of malnourishment, plus the slaughter of cows contributing to climate change.

Every Overlord has a title that follows the format "Overlord of [X]".
  • Alastor is the Overlord of Radio.
  • Carmilla is the Overlord of Battle.
  • Rosie is the Overlord of Flesh.
  • Vox is the Overlord of Media.
  • Velvette is the Overlord of Fashion.
  • Valentino is the Overlord of Lust.
  • Husk was the Overlord of Fortune.
  • And for the Overlords we don't know much about yet, as of Season 1:
    • Zestial: Based on his vampire motifs, he could be the Overlord of Blood.
    • Zeezi: She looks like a stereotypical delinquent/party rocker and appears in Klub Kaiju. She could be the Overlord of Rebellion or Revelry.
    • The flaming skull Overlord is the Overlord of Fire.
    • The two-faced Ars Goetia-like Overlord, if he hasn't been scrapped, is the Overlord of Theater.
    • Vassago, the rockstar Ars Goetia Overlord, is the Overlord of Music.
    • Frederick and Bethesda von Eldritch replace Husk as the Overlords of Fortune.
  • For the Overlords Alastor deposed:
    • The horned cloaked Overlord was the Overlord of Bloodshed.
    • The fishlike female Overlord was the past Overlord of Fashion.
    • The scarecrow-like Overlord was the Overlord of Fear.
    • The iguana-like mafioso Overlord was the Overlord of Crime.
    • The Mad Doctor Overlord was the Overlord of Medicine.
    • The female Overlord with a crown and translucent gown was the Overlord of Fame.

At least some of the children in Cannibal Town are adopted.
Some of the children grew up in cannibalistic cults when they were alive and went to Hell along with their parents. Others were previously orphaned or lost child sinners, taken in and allowed to stay as long as they followed the rules. They joined up because it was preferable to roaming the streets of Hell as a vulnerable child, and the "eating human flesh" thing is a comparatively simple thing to get used to once you accept that you're in Hell. They look the same as the native children of Cannibal Town because Rosie changes their appearance to match the other townsfolk using her power as an Overlord. We know sinners' appearances can change in Hell — there is a background photo of Vox with a bulky CRT monitor head instead of his modern flatscreen TV head.

Despite hellborn being officially exempt from Exterminations, the Exorcists still kill any stupid/unlucky enough to be in their path of carnage
Considering how the Exorcists up to Adam and Lute are both incredibly violent and prejudiced against demons, it wouldn't be surprising. They probably assume that the number of dead Sinners will mask out the wayward imp or hellhound and their families don't have enough power to take it to Lucifer.

The cannibals have a cavalier attitude toward life, death, and the pursuit of happiness that borders on Blue-and-Orange Morality.
They believe you should live your (after)life to the fullest and enjoy it, and do what you want even if other people think it's gross, which is why they're generally polite and friendly—they don't judge other demons' weird habits, because they eat demon flesh daily and probably each other. Happiness should be pursued as much as possible in a place like Hell even if it kills you, which is why they're willing to charge headlong at the exorcists if it means getting to try some delicious angel flesh. They are not suicidal, as they still run from exorcists on Extermination Day, but they are fine with dying again if it's on their own terms, getting to go out doing what they love. So in the pilot, Rosie crossing off her business partner's name after he got killed in the extermination wasn't her being callous; from the perspective of a Cannibal Townie, it was just the natural order of things. People die and then die again, and that's all the more reason to do whatever the Hell you want, because for all you know, you could be Deader than Dead tomorrow!

Mimzy was a Black Widow
She's obviously in Hell for a reason and is noted by Viv to be greedy and materialistic. It's not unreasonable to suspect that, in life, she married multiple wealthy men, then murdered them for their inheritance. Perhaps she died when one of her intended victims figured out what she was planning and turned the tables on her.

Souls contracted to Overlords gain traits similar to said Overlords over time
The cannibals under Rosie's jurisdiction are an obvious example, but what made me think of this idea was the fish demon who acted as Vox's secretary, as he has not only a similar skin color to Vox, but also has exactly the same eyes. Additionally, many of Valentino's demons have gold teeth, heart motifs and pinkish color schemes like him, while Niffty has Alastor's red color scheme.

Had Carmilla died when trying to buy time for her daughters, she would have ascended to Heaven
Since a Heroic Sacrifice seems to be how someone becomes an Ascended Demon, a mother, who also seems like a decent person all things considered, laying down her life for her daughters would have no doubt allowed her to get past the Pearly Gates.

Emily is Charlie's half sister.
When fighting Adam, Lucifer claimed he had sex with Adam's second wife, who (according to the show) would be Eve. Maybe he said that just to piss off Adam, but it could still be true. If it is, this would explain why the two would be so amazingly similar.
  • On a tangential note, if Eve makes an appearance expect her to look very much like Lilith with only minor changes. When she was made from Adam's rib, they modeled her off of his first wife instead of creating an entirely new design.

Only Overlords have "true" demon forms
The more souls one owns, the more powerful they become, allowing them to access a new form. It's why Husk can't use it-he lost it when he lost his position as an Overlord.

Roo is the sin of despair
We know about Seven Deadly Sins, but it is a little known fact that some works considered despair the eighth sin, if this is true in the show then Roo and the ring of despair, may exist at the very bottom of Hell, but is obscure and unmentioned due to being so horrible that even Lucifer fears her, additionally since sinners' souls and essence wound up becoming soaked into the ground upon their deaths by an exorcist blade, those souls may wound up in Roo's clutches, trapped in a state of Limbo and experiencing a level of torture and suffering the likes of which are unimaginable to comprehend.

True final antagonist of the show will be Jesus Christ himself
Okay hear me out. While it is unclear if God exists, Saint Peter’s presence in Heaven clearly indicates that Jesus does, though it’s unclear what exactly he is. Jesus and Charlie are actually pretty similar, most notably by being dedicated to redemption of the sinners, Jesus suffered to bring message of redemption and promise of eternal life to humans, even dying briefly. However when Jesus got into Heaven (assuming he even went there), he slowly realised it was All for Nothing because nobody actually knows what takes to get into Heaven and monsters like Adam somehow can ascend while it is pretty easy to get damned into Hell. Jesus could also spent time watching Earth and seeing crimes that were done in his name, maybe even saw into Hell and seen how hellborn live while learning about the extremination, and unlike Charlie, he coudn’t handle it and has lost hope into redemption and even idea that there is anything that can stop suffering that comes with life. He instead now believes that eternal, total death is the only true salvation and secretly working to destroy creation and put every living being out of their misery.

What the other Overlords’ “true demon forms”/One-Winged Angel forms might look like
  • Carmilla: A humanoid figure made of blades that kinda looks like The Razor from Slay the Princess.
  • Rosie: A Body of Bodies that might be a Fusion Dance with some or all of the other residents of Cannibal Town, or an elegant Battle Ballgown made entirely of scraps of flesh, bone, and assorted body parts stitched together with veins and tendons, somewhat like the the Fleshmaiden dress from Alice: Madness Returns.
  • Valentino: A parody of Mothra. Can fire blinding light from his eyes and hypnotic pink smoke from his mouth. Or a bigger version of himself with design motifs ripped off from Asmodeus like multiple heads and/or a feathered tail to visually suggest he’s putting himself on the level of a Deadly Sin.
  • Vox: A Mechanical Abomination made from welded-together pieces of tech scrap that can fire off massive blasts of lightning.
  • Velvette: A living voodoo doll stitched together from scrap fabric who can use the pins stuck in her as giant swords or fire them at her enemies, or a jointed plastic mannequin with a massive pair of angelic steel sewing scissors as a weapon and a measuring tape as Combat Tentacles.
  • Zestial: A Living Shadow with numerous additional eyes and/or animal parts like fangs, bat wings and scorpion stingers.
  • Zeezi: A massive kaiju that looks like a cross between a T-rex and Godzilla.

    Season 2 plots
The Russian-Ukraine war will bleed into the series
Vivziepop won't be able to resist the urge to make allusions to the Russian invasion. Whether the next exorcism will be the stand in or some indirect references, it will be a talking point eventually in season 2.

Cain and Abel will appear in season 2
It will serve as a way to get some Character Development for Adam, assuming he doesn't get killed off.
  • Considering how Abel never reached Heaven despite getting killed before Adam died, he and his brother might show up in Hell as Roo's most trustworthy henchmen. Both brothers willing to work against both Lucifer and the Elders in Heaven for their own reasons. Abel, due to being bitter and feeling betrayed by the Elders since despite doing "everything right" and having their vocal approval, he still ended up in Hell without any explanation of why, alongside with his murderer/brother, resulting in a lifetime of resentment towards anything connected with Heaven. Cain on other hand happily follow in line with Roo's agenda since he is just savoring the schadenfreude from the reality that his "virtuous brother" got sent to Hell anyway together with him, letting the wrath he felt in life subside since he has nothing more to be angry about with this arrangement and ironically, making him the "reasonable" brother between the two. Also, Adam's genetic influence on both of them is minimal, making them look more like their mother instead.

Sera's Extermination plan will horribly backfire.
Turns out, every sinner slayed dissolves into Hell but becomes part of an unseen cosmic evil, when enough souls are destroyed, it will awaken and will destroy Earth, the universe, and her own Heaven.
  • That cosmic evil will be Roo.

The Elders will take action against the Hotel
After all, the daughter of the rogue Lucifer not only rallying up Hell against Heaven, but in the process making it possible they can be redeemed is the ultimate defiance of their anti-free will agenda.

  • In addition to rallying other angels who are appalled by Heaven's corruption. Perhaps Molly could join them.

Eve is a redhead
  • Lilith is a blonde and when finally unmasked Adam was shown to have dark hair. In order to complete the Blonde, Brunette, Redhead set for the first three humans ever, Eve will be a redhead.

Baxter will end up becoming a main character in Season 2
In certain episodes of Season 1, we are shown an Anglerfish Demon with glasses named Baxter, who was heavily merchandised when the show was in production. So, if Baxter would appear in the show proper, he'll likely become a resident at the hotel and fill in the void left by Sir Pentious, who sacrificed himself for Charlie and the others and became a redeemed sinner afterwards.
  • Given that Crymini (a hyena-like sinner or hellhound) and Mimzy were also heavily advertised, perhaps they'll become major players in the second season as well.

Heaven still won't support Charlie's plan
...at least not openly. Upon questioning Sir Pentious, Sera and Emily will come to the conclusion that a Heroic Sacrifice is one of the requirements for a Sinner to make it into Heaven. But if you're only sacrificing yourself to make it in, it won't be sincere and will likely just make you Deader than Dead. Hence, in order for Sinners to properly redeem themselves, the truth will need to be hidden. Emily may choose to fake becoming a Fallen Angel so she can help at the hotel. Alternatively, Sera might be the one to do so in order to atone for having enabled the death of so many Sinners.

The Sinners will finally be allowed to visit the other Rings of Hell
For those not keeping up, the Sinners are confined to the top ring of Hell, which is Pride, while the hellborn demons are allowed to traverse through the other six rings below as they please. This may have been because Pride is the ring in hell that Heaven has direct access to and need to keep the sinners in one place for the Extermination.

But that cancelled and likely to be abolished, the Sinners can go free if they please.

Sera will be going through an endless cycle of Drowning My Sorrows.
Seeing Sir Pentious arriving in Heaven shows Sera that, not only was Charlie right about her plan to redeem sinners, but also that all these thousands of years of killing sinners was completely pointless. Sera would likely do down a dark hole of depression of failing Emily and going on a pointless genocide spree that her only way of trying to ease the pain is lots, and lots, and lots, and LOTS of booze.
  • And of course Sera will risk falling down.
  • However, Sir Pentious will bring her out of her funk by singing the same song Charlie gave him: "It starts with sorry..."

The Exorcists will become a rogue cell
After seeing that Sinners can be redeemed, Sera will likely forbid any more Exterminations. As Lute and likely the other Exorcists are vengeful and still thirsty for demon blood, they will rebel. Extra karma/irony points if, by defying the High Seraphim, they're the next to fall.

Emily will contact Charlie about Pentious and discuss where to go from there.
Following Pentious appearing before her and finding out Charlie doesn't know Pentious made it, Emily decides to surprise Charlie by revealing her plan to reform sinners worked. However, Sera is still in denial over the whole ordeal, so Emily asks Charlie to get another redeemed figuring that if Charlie can get at least one more sinner redeemed then her solution can't be ignored any longer.

At the same time, Charlie, happy to find out Pentious is not only alive but in heaven, alters his memorial by adding the detail of him being the first redeemed sinner to further motivate others.

Emily becomes ambassador to Hell.
We saw in the first episode that Heaven has an embassy in Hell, albeit seemingly unstaffed save for official meetings. Emily's sympathy towards the Sinners could lead her to request such an assignment while Sera might think it would give her a better look at the scum she wants to redeem, from safely behind the embassy's walls.

If Cherri and Sir Pentious reunite, we'll get a heartwarming callback to the "I'm buying EVERYONE a drink!" running gag.
Basically, Cherri will say "Sir Pentious... why did you sacrifice your life for me?" and Sir Pentious will somberly respond with "It wasn't just for you, Cherri, I gave my life for everyone here!"

Angel's family will become more prominent in future episodes.
We finally got to see both Molly and Arackniss making cameos in season one, so perhaps they and his father will appear in later episodes. Perhaps Arackniss will pay a visit the hotel after seeing Angel on the news, likely with the intent of trying to drag him back into the family business.

Charlie's attempts to toughen up (physically and emotionally) after fending off the Extermination in the Season 1 finale will become a season-long Gambit Pile Up involving different sides trying to take advantage of her training for their own ends.

  • After the events of the Season 1 finale, Charlie's cause is highly likely to be validated, and her hotel will become more popular than ever. However, she doesn't want it to be just a passing fad. Instead, she wants it to withstand the test of time for the good of her people. Realizing this, she attempts to train herself to become more battle-hardened with the help of Vaggie and her friends. The result is a series of entertaining shenanigans and scenarios.

Certain groups will probably try to exploit the consequences of the foiled annihilation for their own benefit. Of the ones identified so far, Alastor and The Vees appear to be the most probable candidates.

  • Alastor: Alastor, as Charlie's Trickster Mentor and a Big Good, is one of her closest allies. He will likely aid her in her training so she can be prepared for when he calls in a favor to help him escape from whatever deal he's caught up in.

  • The Vees: According to Word of God, the Vees will be the main adversaries in Season 2. Their strategy involves dealing with the Hotel more tactfully, possibly by cozying up to Charlie. Velvette seems like the ideal candidate to infiltrate Charlie's inner circle and win her trust since she's the only Vee who hasn't yet directly opposed her or her associates. Once Velvette has entered the group, she will have a prime opportunity to keep tabs on their actions for Vox and manipulate things from there.

Eve will return as a villain
Her part in the Story of Hell is fairly ominous, with a red glow illuminating her silhouette and also turning her smile into something that looks a lot more sinister.
  • It's also a possibility that she could be Alastor's master

Cain will be a villain
He's the first murderer after all, so he likely isn't a good guy.
  • Even Worse, in most stories Cain never actually died due to being immortal. It's possible he plans on destroying both Heaven And Hell out of spite for being denied death and being forced to wander the earth over something he feels was unwarranted.

Abel will be a villain
Since Sera said Adam was the first human soul to enter Heaven, though Biblical canon says Abel was murdered before Adam's death. Though Viv plays loose with the Bible, it's possible Abel landed in Hell, and (after)living who knows how long in Hell cannot be good for what remained of his morality.

Sera will try to hide Sir Pentious' existence
Because Sera would not be able to deal with the ramifications of him becoming an angel (namely, that she condemned thousands of souls who could have been saved), so she will convince him to 'stay out of sight' in an attempt to stop word of his ascension reaching hell.

Sera will fall like Lucifer
She warned Emily about her potenially falling like Lucifer, but with the reveal of Sinners' being redeemable, SHE is the one who went against the Divine Judgement (due to not knowing the full picture) and will not be able to reconcile her actions with the truth without also becoming a fallen Seraphim. This may remove Charlie's safety net if Sera tries to also take the Throne of Hell (presumably for her own safety if it gets out she's the sponsor of the exterminations)

Sir Pentious will go back to Hell
Sir Pentious would miss everybody in Hell and be lonely in heaven. Emily, feeling sympathy for him would help Sir Pentious either to back to Hell, or he would be able to visit his friends anytime he wants.
  • Perhaps we'll get a humorous episode where Sir Pentious tries to act evil again so that he'll get kicked out of Heaven — the problem being that Charlie's teachings have ingrained themselves so deeply into him that he either fails spectacularly or keeps feeling bad about it and apologizing and cleaning up his own messes.

The Exorcists will end up splitting into two factions
One siding with Lute because they want revenge for the death of their comrades, the other because they want to help Sinners get into Heaven by killing them when they perform a Heroic Sacrifice. The first faction will likely be filled with long-time Exorcists, while the second will be filled with newer angels who have learned that it's possible for Sinners to be redeemed with a heroic sacrifice.

The events of Season 1 rattle the general populance of Heaven
If the information about exterminations and ambiquity of the Rules get into the general Heaven public, there are fair share of possibilities to happen.
  • While it is uncertain if "Winners" are truly better people than Sinners, it is likely that Heaven cultivates the virtue of being a good person, so nevertheless, the citizens of Heaven are likely to nurture compassionate individuals anyway. What if those people hear about what is going on really? Just look at Emily. They certainly want a change, just for sake of fairness, just like their values tell to them!
  • As a consequence/alternative, if questioning the Rules actually makes you prone to Fall (like Sera fears to happen to Emily), a fair share of angels indeed Fall.
  • This, in turn, makes angels fearful of Falling, so outwardly, they start supporting the apparent status quo while conflicted inside.
  • There may also be a share of already fearful/Rules-abiding/hypocritical angels who try to keep the masqurade up and pretend nothing bad is happening, akin to climate denialists.
Ample opportunities for civil unrest, ahoy! And Heaven, being an idyllic place to an average denizen, sure didn't prepare them for this.

Season 2 will see Vox try to extort/blackmail Alastor.
While normally the super-ego of the Vees, Alastor lives rent free in his head and is positively reveling at Adam proving he's Not So Invincible After All. Given he recorded the fight, why wouldn't be take the opportunity to use it against his Arch-Enemy. As he's clearly outclassed by the Radio Demon, Vox will be a threat by digging up dirt on him like, say, the fact he is bound to someone else. Narratively this could serve two purposes; giving more hints and ideas on Alastor's endgame and desire, and making him more of a threat.

A second villainous faction will rise in Heaven.
We already saw the angels are somewhat divided about Redemption, and Pentious will likely boost the pro-redemption side. But, what if another faction takes Pentious as proof Heaven isn't exclusive enough, possibly pointing to Adam as another example of someone who didn't belong there, and attempts to purge Winners they deem unworthy...and their most obvious target would be the Exorcists, for ever agreeing to follow someone as crude as Adam in the first place.

Alternatively, the second villainous faction in Heaven will be its real Army.
The revelation of the motive behind the Exterminations will be seen as a tacit insult by Heaven's actual Army, as it very much implies that Sera doesn't believe it is capable of doing its job of protecting Heaven in the event of a full uprising from Hell. The Heavenly Host, and its leader, will take this implied insult very badly, and in Adam's absence, will try to take their revenge on his little pet psychos.

Carmilla Carmine will retire from being overlord and give that position to Vaggie
First and foremost, Carmilla's priorities are to protecting her daughters, so she could have been planning her retirement for a long time, but couldn't find a successor, until Vaggie came asking for help. Carmilla could train Vaggie more to become the next overlord in her place, but the decision would be up to Vaggie and her alone.

The Hotel will think Alastor actually tried to sacrifice himself
The line 'Great Alastor, altruist, died for his friends' might be a hint that the rest of the Hotel (minus Husk) think Alastor actually tried to fight for them and almost died. It would explain why in the group hug in the 'Finale' song, Husk, who knows better, and Lucifer, who has a petty rivalry with Alastor, are the only ones seen not happy when he appears, even though Vaggie has made her hatred of Alastor clear all throughout the season. Alastor will be seen taking advantage of that trust in the second season.

The Hotel will fake Alastor's death/disappearance
Another line from the 'Finale' song, 'While the rest of Hell's pissing, Alastor's missing', feels like a weird thing to add when Alastor reveals himself to the rest of the Hotel later in the same song. Realizing the Vees and other overlords may take advantage of the chaos after the battle to takeover, the Hotel, Lucifer and Cannibal Town may pretend that Alastor is actually gone so that they can keep themselves safe as he protects them from the shadows while they recover from the battle.

Lute will hurt Charlie by going after Vaggie
Now that Lute is in command of the Exorcists, and her vendetta against the heroes are even higher now, Lute's vindictiveness will only increase. She can't go up against the Princess of Hell but can target Vaggie. She can use some sort of made-up rule to give Vaggie some sort of court-martial and execution. Plus, prior to the extermination, ALL of the Exorcists remembered and hated Vaggie; and the survivors' hatred would have also grown. She could send out some of her top rank officers to kidnap and/or kill her.

The Elders will eventually say "fuck it" and decide to destroy the universe to rebuild it from scratch
They already had a fit when Lucifer gave humanity free will and derailed their order. With the cosmic status quo being set to be drastically altered in both Heaven and Hell, they will try to end the universe and try again, without those pesky dreamers. Whether Charlie stops them through a song or by needing to use force remains to be seen.

Roo will try to destroy the universe
In contrast to the Elders, who will try to destroy the universe to restore their twisted order, Roo will try to destroy everything purely to destroy the angels' creation. If she turns out to be Eve, then revenge could definitely be a factor.

The "dad rivalry" between Lucifer and Alastor takes a more serious turn, but Charlie just thinks that her Dad is just jealous
Lucifer, now closer to his daughter, starts sensing that something is very off with Alastor. He trusts his gut and tries to get Charlie to back off from Alastor, but Charlie just believes he is still competing for the position as Charlie's favorite paternal figure. Double whammy when Lucifer learns that Charlie made a deal with Alastor and hence is at a genuine risk.

There will be a growing divide between Sera and Emily that will escalate into an outright power struggle
The ending of "Welcome to Heaven" already set up Sera as being a Broken Pedestal in Emily's eyes, and there's a fair chance that Emily getting vindicated by redemption being proven to be possible will only heighten that divide. Especially if Sera does not wholeheartedly accept it. Their differing expressions at Sir Pentious' arrival could lead to them both reacting to his redemption in different manners (Emily being fully supportive vs Sera being at the very least apprehensive about the potential disruption to the status quo) which will come to result in clashes. While Sera may be High Seraphim, the fact they're both Seraphim would presumably indicate Emily's authority isn't too far below, leading to room for a power struggle between the two over the stance of Heaven as Emily is emboldened by being vindicated.

The successful resistance against the Extermination will spark a cold war between Heaven and Hell
Having seen the status quo so drastically altered, Heaven won't directly attack in fear of sparking something worse but will instead try to sabotage Hell through espionage and manipulations.

Velvette will attempt to be the Double Agent in the Hazbin Hotel's circle to get close to Charlie but will likely end up Becoming the Mask after getting to know and like Charlie.
In Season 2 of the show, the Vees will make a move to take control. One of them plans to cozy up to Charlie and her entourage, and they'll do it by handling the Hotel with more finesse. Velvette seems like the perfect candidate to get close to Charlie and win her trust, as she hasn't directly opposed her or her associates yet. By infiltrating Charlie's inner circle under an alias, Velvette will have an excellent opportunity to keep a close eye on their activities and manipulate them for Vox's benefit.

Velvette finds herself getting too attached to Charlie and Vaggie (and maybe others as well) as time passes. They are like a breath of fresh air compared to Vox and Valentino. Ultimately, she might choose to leave the Vees and join Charlie's crew, as she realizes that they are a better use of her time.

When Charlie finds out Sir Pentious ascended to Heaven after dying a second time, she'll have to figure out a way to redeem souls that doesn't involve killing them again

Husk and Lucifer will form an Odd Friendship through their shared hatred of Alastor
When Alastor returns during "Finale", while everyone is happy to see him back, Husk and Lucifer aren't as delighted. One can even hear Lucifer grumble "Ugh, this guy" while the others are cheering. The two then become drinking buddies afterwards.

Someone will sing a Dark Reprise of "Out for Love" about enjoying violence and mayhem.
And it will be called "Out for Blood." The person who sings it won't necessarily dispute that love is a powerful motivator...just that slaughter and sadism is more fun. Out for bloo-oooo-oooood, bloo-oooo-oooood~

Rosie will grow to actually care about Charlie and redeem herself

Once whoever is holding Alastor's leash is revealed, the Radio Demon will finally frown
Considering this guy kept up his smile when critically wounded by Adam and during his mental breakdown, to see him frown will immediately spell this character out as bad news.

Emily will try "Slumming It" in Hell
Emily will want to understand in depth what Hell and its inhabitants are actually like first hand, so she disguises herself as a sinner to spend time there, in the process it turns out she has a hidden ethical hedonist vice gal side which combined with her personality means she can indulge in vices to a ridiculous degree without becoming a fallen angel. Charlie and Vaggie eventually find out she's in Hell and try to track her down and keep her out of trouble, both to avoid a diplomatic incident with Heaven and because they're worried there might be a limit to how much vice Emily can indulge in before she becomes a Fallen Angel and has to stay in Hell forever.

One of Charlie's next clients will be a banker, IRS agent, debt collector or someone else involved with finances.
As a reference to Matthew 21:31: "Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and prostitutes will enter the kingdom of God before you."

Alastor's mother will appear in Heaven and use voodoo herself
Not only will it be an interesting layer to Alastor's backstory, but it would also address criticisms about representing voodoo, a legitimate practice, in the hands of a serial-killer-turned-demon.

Helsa Von Eldritch will appear in season 2 and be voiced by Taylor Louderman.
Because with Charlie being voiced by Cady Heron, who better to play her Sitcom Arch-Nemesis than Regina George?

The Hotel will suffer from overcrowding in season 2.
Basically, they'll have the opposite problem from the first season; after the widely broadcast battle and Lucifer's personal endorsement almost everybody in Hell will want to give the Hotel a shot. The problem is that most are only there for the novelty value, and there will be some Karen-types who insist that the Hotel redeem them without putting in any work and call it a scam when they can't deliver. Charlie will be forced to accept that not everybody can be allowed an entrance and there needs to be a vetting system to tell apart genuine redemption-seekers from the tourists.
  • The crowding could even allow the crew to sneak in some Sinners from the sister show like Mrs. Mayberry in, as they won't be seen long enough or in enough detail to step on Amazon's toes.

One of the Vees will get a Break the Haughty moment after pissing off the older Overlords too much.
And it will be quite satisfying. Perhaps the older Overlords will decide that if the Vees are going to behave like bratty children, they will be treated like bratty children, e.g. put in a magically enforced timeout chair or similar.

If it comes out that a sinner HAS to make a Heroic Sacrifice to get into Heaven, no ifs-ands-or-buts...
...some sinners will choose the relative certainty of staying alive in Hell over the risk of trying to redeem themselves, making a Heroic Sacrifice, and ending up Deader than Dead if said sacrifice was deemed not good enough by whatever god/entity/cosmic force determines entry into the pearly gates. As detailed on another WMG higher up this page, this could also be the reason Charlie has to find another way for sinners to redeem themselves without having to make a sacrifice.

Mimzy will return in Season 2
Specifically, she will join the Hotel, claiming to want to redeem herself, when really, she'll only be there to try and weasel her way back into Alastor's good graces. However, over time, she'll start Becoming the Mask and redeem herself for real.

The Sinner child from Cannibal Town that Vaggie spared will appear again
He seems to have lived and given now that the Hotel has Cannibal Town as allies now, it wouldn't be out of question for the two to meet again and form a friendship of sorts.

More flashbacks of the main cast
  • Why Lucifer and Lilith split up. And confirmation if they are actually divorced or just on a break; "split" could mean either one.
  • The progression of Charlie and Vaggie's romance.
  • Vaggie's past as an Exorcist and possible life as a mortal (if the latter is still canon).
  • The fandom-old question: how the cast sans Charlie and maybe Vaggie died.
  • How the events of Eden actually played out.

Angel learning that Molly's in Heaven will be the ultimate push he needs to really start taking redemption seriously
Once he learns his sister's in Heaven, Angel will up the ante to make it up there with her, devoting himself to his own redemption just to be with her again.

Since Fat Nuggets was a gift from Valentino, there will be an episode where Valentino tries to use Fat Nuggets to force Angel under his thumb
It may even lead up to Val taking control of Fat Nuggets somehow, though ultimately, Fat Nuggets' loyalty will remain with Angel and he'll attack Val to protect him.

There will be an episode where the cast visits Lulu World
We already saw Loo-Loo Land in Helluva Boss, but it was mentioned a few times that it's mostly just a cheap knock off of Lulu World, Lucifer's actual theme park which is presumably much more appealing and likely located in the Pride Ring. Perhaps Lucifer, being the owner, will be able to get the cast in for free.

There will be Winners who want to go into Hell
With Sir Pentious in Heaven, it’s likely that we are to get better look at its inhabitants. One interesting wrench to throw into both idea that Heaven is perfect and Charlie’s plan to redeem Sinners is if we met Winners who want to go to Hell and see Pentius’s ascension as proof that it’s possible. Their reasons could vary and will depending how many we met: Some would be like Adam and classical Sinner and want to go into Hell because it sounds more fun, some will be fundamentally decent people who simply happen to like Hell’s anarchy and chaos like Cherri, and some would be people like Sinners or decent people who have such low opinion about themselves that they believe they don’t deserve Heaven and that they should be damned in Hell.
  • There could be Winners who are aware that their loved ones are down in Hell and desperately want to reunite with them, even if it means forsaking paradise.

We'll be shown good humans
Helluva Boss humanized Hell, but also depicted Earth and humanity as as somehow worse, or at best, just as bad. Since "Welcome to Heaven" fleshed out the sister show's initial impression that Heaven was a corrupt holier-than-thou dictatorship by depicting it as actually pleasant with good angels but run by Tautological Templars, we'll be shown that humanity isn't all bad either.

Rosie, Carmilla and Zestiel will join Alastor in sponsoring the Hotel
With a mix of them having fought off the angels and both Alastor and Lucifer's endorsement, it already seems that the Hotel will end up having more support from the public. This will likely lead to more Overlords deciding to throw their hats into the ring. Carmilla and Rosie are obvious, having acted as mentors to Vaggie and Charlie respectively and Rosie being Alastor's friend. Zestiel will likely join specifically because Carmilla did.

Some Winners will try to discredit Sir Pentiuses redemption, maybe even try to sabotage Hotel
Building of above theories about another villainous faction in Heaven, there will be Winners who aren’t fond of the idea that Sinners can redeem themselves and ascend to Heaven. Some members will have legitimate grievances about idea of people like Alastor and Valentino ascending, especially if they learn how not even higher up Angels actually know what gets somebody into Heaven, sparking fear that their “redemption” may not involve them giving up their horrible ways.

Leaders however will probably be horrible people like Adam who for one reason or another went to Heaven, playing nice while secretly finding ways to continue their cruel practices. Their motivation will be fear that If Hell isn’t forever, it would also mean Angels can’t do whatever and remain in the sky, opening possibility of them being discovered and/or falling. They could even find ways assist Vees in their takeover of Hell under condition that they steep out any idea of redemption there.

We will get unexpected Kick the Dog moments from Carmilla and/or Rosie
To remind the audience that even though they are the "nice" Overlords, they are still Overlords and didn't get to the top just by asking nicely.

The Vees in order to undertake a power grab, will try to undermine Alastor
Word of God said that they'll play a major antagonistic role in the second season, and we know that Vox has a deep-seated rivalry with Alastor and from seeing the radio demon flee from Adam during the fight will likely use it to blackmail Alastor into giving him his power or renounce his status as overlord, putting Al in a lose-lose situation, if he declines the Vees will expose this moment of weakness to everyone and it'll take a blow to his reputation, if he agrees he will become an average sinner and at the very least have more stress to deal with since his soul is owned by someone else.

Sir Pentious would have been rendered Deader than Dead from Adam's holy light
But God personally intervened to save his soul.

Sir Pentious' ascension will lead to Sera Slowly Slipping Into Evil
Upon Sir Pentious' ascension in front of her and Emily, Sera will go in denial over the fact that he was redeemed so she won't have to admit to herself that she's been allowing the genocide of countless sinners All for Nothing when they could've been saved and be redeemed, probably saying that demons have finally found a way to heaven to cause destruction. This will cause her to try to hide Sir Pentious, get rid of him, or fabricate a story on his sudden appearance and keep Emily quiet about how Charlie's plan works, all to preserve Heaven's foundation and status quo, but when Sir Pentious and Emily reveal the truth about Hell and redemption to everyone, more angels and winners will began to question Heaven's authority and Sera's leadership, as well as find out that despite his background, Sir Pentious isn't as bad as Sera said, and may believe that Sinners are Not Always Evil and begin to support demons being redeemed. Sera will reject this, still seeing Pentious and sinners as monsters and become so consumed by fear that she may fall victim to a Sanity Slippage and find ways to prevent more Sinners to be redeemed and possibly undo Pentious' ascension without trying to understand what gets a soul ascended and preventing others from doing so too. This may cause her to do even more reprehensible things like permit have Lute assassinate Pentious and other redeemed souls if Charlie saves more sinners as season 2 goes on or when it ends, or have Charlie's hotel destroyed again out of spite, or try to annihilate Hell even if it means endangering her angelic citizens under the belief that she's keeping Heaven safe, even though it goes against her original goals in the first place. Once she's defeated or during a fight against her and Hell she'll have a Villainous Breakdown and maybe rant to Lucifer on how she had to spend eternity cleaning up the mess he made for humanity, and how the winners were being ungrateful for her trying to protect them and will be defeated while still holding on to the belief that Sinners are evil, she is good, and anyone who disagrees with her and sides with sinners is bad. This would parallel with the show's Central Theme of redemption and how it clashes with the antagonists, while Adam flat out rejected the idea of sinners being redeemable, the Vees will hinder it in the process of their own goals, and Sera will be in straight up denial that there is good in the worst people even when she sees it, making her undergo the same experience Lucifer went through following his fall, being only able to see the bad side of humanity's worst instead of the good.

Emily will sing a Heaven version of "Happy Day in Hell"
To continue the parallels between Emily and Charlie, the first episode of season 2 will feature Emily giving Sir Pentious a tour of heaven while singing a variation of "Happy Day in Hell". Just like the original version of the song makes it clear that Charlie's really the only one who sees it as a happy day, Emily can express that it's finally a happy day in Heaven since she's been completely miserable since the trial.

If Baxter does appear in season 2...
He'll be the exact opposite of Sir Pentious. He'll be cold and "emotionless," and try to cast himself as a being of "pure logic." He'll also spout scientific jargon at every opportunity. Basically, he'll try to present himself as an evil Sheldon Cooper. However, cracks will show, especially when he's being compared to Pentious.

There will be an scene that discusses being LGBTQ+ in Heaven
It could possibly be brought up by Sir Pentious, who is bi, and is scared that he'll be judged and/or kicked out for his sexuality. But other characters could come around and say it's not a sin to be queer in Heaven, maybe St. Peter could say this given his Ambiguously Bi nature.

There will be a Whole Episode Flashback showing the development of Charlie and Vaggie's relationship
And like how there are 2 songs in each Season 1 episodes, this will also continue. The first song will be about Charlie showing Vaggie around Hell and that isn't as bad as the latter thinks; the second song would be Vaggie believing in Charlie's dream to redeem Sinners and how their friendship evolves to romance.

Odette Carmine and Baxter will form a side but growing romance

The trust fall from Season One's "Scrambled Eggs" foreshadows important moments in Season 2
In the aforementioned trust fall, Vaggie and Husk catch and hold Charlie and Angel, respectively. Given the show's themes on redemption/helping others, how Vaggie and Charlie are an Official Couple, and the heavy Ship Tease between Angel and Husk, this will foreshadow keep moments for each respective couple in Season 2. Charlie and Angel feel inadequate or ashamed for their own reasons (Charlie feeling guilty over Sir Pentious' death; Angel's enslavement to Valentino) and come close or even cross the Despair Event Horizon. However, Vaggie and Husk come to rescue their respective other half through emotional support and words of affirmation.

Lute and Sera team up with the Vees
Lute and Sera want to maintain the status quo of Heaven on top and Hell on bottom while the Vees want to gain power; both sides not giving a damn about the Hell citizens. As such, they team up to each get what they want. Lute and Sera promise to spare the Vees and their associates if the latter trio promise to stop the influence of the Hazbin Hotel, by any means. And if this does happen, Sera will be the Token Good Teammate, as why she is doing underhanded actions, it comes from a place of wanting to keep Heaven safe unlike Lute's bloodthirstiness or the Vees' selfishness.

Velvette develops an intense Villainous Crush on Vaggie
The other Vee members have some warped, toxic interest in two of three main trio who are mostly see alongside Charlie; those being Vaggie, Angel Dust, and Alastor - Valentino is a slimeball who regularly sexually abuses/assaults Angel while Vox has a one-sided crush on Alastor. Given the pattern, Velvette will develop an equally toxic and obsessive interest in Vaggie.

Possible Crymini plots
  • If Crymini were to ever join the hotel, Alastor might make it hard for her by treating her worse than the others due to his hatred of dogs.
  • Crymini was described to be a "delinquent and rebellious punk kid", so she could see Alastor (and to a lesser extent, Charlie) as an authority figure to despise.
  • Crymini ends up getting along well with Husk, who ends becoming a contributing factor to her Character Development.
  • Crymini could pretty much be a Loona for Hazbin Hotel.
  • Crymini and Zeezi could have connections, or the former could be in a contract to the latter, due to their Animal Motifs.

Rosie and Niffty will come to cut ties with Alastor
As Alastor has made it his goal to not perform any sort of selfless sacrifice for his associates (given his breakdown from nearly dying by Adam's attack), he'll grow more selfish and crueler. Even committing actions that leave the implicitly ruthless Rosie and normally psychotic Niffty appalled. And by the end, in a parallel to Alastor cutting off ties with Mimzy, the women will cut off ties with Alastor. Though, it's debatable with Niffty because it's unclear what kind of relationship she and Alastor aside from being very fond of one another.

Lucifer and Charlie's relationship will hit a snag after learning of the latter's deal with Alastor, leading to a Both Sides Have a Point dilemma for Vaggie
Lucifer is incensed out of worry, even to the point of yelling at Charlie for her reckless actions. In turn, Charlie becomes enraged at her father's words, yelling back that she had no choice in the moment; she would then try to argue that Alastor helped them. Lucifer sharply asks that if he was such a good friend, why'd he wait until Charlie was desperate to help; he would then follow up by asking, "Would a real friend have you make a deal?" or something like that. From Vaggie's POV, she can't deny that Charlie had very few options but also can't disagree with Lucifer's concern given Alastor's shadiness and cruelty (traits that the Overlord openly admits to loving about himself).

Vaggie's self-hatred will be furthered explored and dissected

The Exorcists will return more deadlier than ever
Given how they loss not only a number of themselves but also lost Adam, it's going to hit them hard; and it will definitely hit Lute the most. To the point, that not only do they sharpen their fighting skills to be even deadlier but also attain some kind of new transformation of sorts. Either from Sera or someone else, but the results will be the same = While they are still no match to the Morningstar Family or the Seraphims, they become stronger to the point they aren't harmed by angelic weaponry.

Emily will develop a crush on Vaggie
Given how Emily is described as the "Heaven version of Charlie" and how the former had no direct interactions with Vaggie, Season 2 might have them interact more. Given Vaggie's hatred over Angels and her brief Death Glare of Emily holding Charlie's hands, it's evident that Vaggie will initially be less than enthusiastic. But they find common ground and Emily (similar to Charlie) falls for Vaggie because of her honesty, bravery, and support, making her friendship with Charlie complicated. Vaggie, for her part, is oblivious.

We will met good hearted Sinners who have no interest in going to Heaven
Simmiliar to a above theory about Winners who will want to go to Hell, it would present interesting challenge to Charlie if Sinners who would be relatively easy to get to Heaven (as easy as it can be with how show’s afterlife works) are to become promient oponents of her plan. They will be souls who somehow made their lives in Hell withous falling into depravity and actually lead nice lives down here, maybe even befriending and falling in love with hellborns and not wanting to leave them, actually wanting to go into other rings. Alternatively they could point that, even if Heaven is nice place on the outside, fact that it’s leader is willing to greenlight Extreminations and somebody like Adam can get there is prime Paranoia Fuel about who is geniune and who is just faking, while in Hell you can easily tell who is danger.

Charlie will of course try to convice them otherwise, but whether she succeds or accepts their decision, it will make her even more determined to figure out what exactly are criteria of afterlife, since she has seen even more of proof that system as it is fundementally flawed.

Vox and Lucifer will sing a duet (either a Distant Duet or Vox trying to get on Lucifer's good side) about how much they hate Alastor

Completing the triangle of "Alastor and his rivals" songs along with "Stayed Gone" and "Hell's Greatest Dad".

Bonus points if it's also a trio song with Alastor singing about how entertaining it is to get on Vox and Lucifer's nerves.

Valentino will subvert No Song for the Wicked and get his own Villain Song.
Velvette has "Respectless" and Vox has "Stayed Gone," but so far Valentino hasn't sang yet. Maybe it will be a song that rapidly goes back and forth between "slow and seductive" and "fast-paced, loud and threatening".
  • Going by the pattern set by the other Vees, it'll probably be a Quarreling Song with Angel Dust.
