Agumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/agumon_4.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 1
Attacks: Baby Flame, Spitfire, Cross Fight, Surudoi Tsumenote , Sharp Nail, Baby Burner, Triple Baby Flame, Battle Hawk, Kūchū Baby Flamenote , Mach Jab, Mach Jab Combo, Dynamite Kick, Uppercut, Agumon Dive, Wild Whip, Final Claw, Splash Kick, Aerial Mach Jab

A reptile digimon with an appearance resembling a small dinosaur, it has grown and become able to walk on two legs. Its strength is weak as it is still in the process of growing, but it has a fearless and rather ferocious personality. Hard, sharp claws grow from its hands and feet, and their power is displayed in battle. It has the potential to digivolve into an even stronger Dinosaur Digimon. Its special attack is Pepper Breath, where it spits a small fireball at its foes, and Baby Burner, a charged-up version of Pepper Breath.

It's effectively the face of the franchise, being its most well-known Digimon, and is often paired with several of the series' protagonists. Notable partners include both anime incarnations of Tai Kamiya (Taichi Yagami), Taiga, Nokia Shiramine, Takuma Momozuka, and the unnamed rival tamer in Digimon Project 2021. It's also the mascot of the Silver Cross (Gold Hawk) Guard Team.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its "Surudoi Tsume"note  where it attacks with its claws, "Sharp Nail" an upgraded version of "Surudoi Tsume", "Mach Jab" where it rapidly jabs or slashes the opponent with the claws of both hands., "Mach Jab Combo" where it rushes the enemy with many rapid slashes with the claws of both hands, "Agumon Dive" where it jumps at the enemy and slams its claws down on them., "Final Claw" where it jumps and slashes a falling enemy with the claws of both hands. and "Aerial Mach Jab" where it rapidly jabs the enemy with its claws while both Digimon are in midair.
  • Breath Weapon: Its Pepper Breath (Baby Flame) attack is spitting a fireball from its mouth to attack the opponent. It can also use this move whilst airborne.
  • Charged Attack: Its "Baby Burner" attack, in which it accumulates Baby Flame in its mouth and then spits it out all at once as a much more powerful blast.
  • Composite Character: Recent video games have combined this Agumon's evolution lines with those of its 2006 version, and as such is capable of digivolving into GeoGreymon.
  • Dinosaurs Are Dragons: A primarily dinosaur like, fire-breathing critter whose digivolutions tend to take on distinctly draconic appearances.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Uppercut" attack is a flaming uppercut with its claws.
  • Fireballs: Its "Spitfire" attack spits out fireballs and "Triple Baby Flame" where it rapidly fires three different Baby Flames in three different directions.
  • Inconsistent Dub: The dub for Digimon Fusion briefly localized it as "Augumon".
  • Meaningful Name: Agu comes from aguagu (「アグアグ」) which is the onomatopoeia for the sound of biting.
  • Playing with Fire: Most of its attacks are fire-based.
  • Recurring Element: Agumon is the Child/Rookie form of the main dragon-like Digimon line in Adventure. While not the one to start the trend (that would be Zeromaru, who was ironically an expy of Greymon), it definitely got the ball rolling.
  • Series Mascot: Though unofficially, it serves the purpose as being the face of the franchise, which makes sense considering it's one of the first batch of Digimon ever released. It's a Fountain of Expies as seen with other Digimon below, has several variations of itself, and members of its species are partnered to several of the series' protagonists. Back in the series' heyday, Agumon's popularity was on par with Pikachu.

Agumon X (Agumon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/agumonx.jpg
Attacks: Baby Burner, Baby Flame, Spitfire

A form of Agumon after being enhanced by the X-Antibody. While its prior form was classified as a Reptile type, this version is a full-on Dinosaur type from the start, greatly increasing its digivolution potential. Its claws have become sharper, and it now sports blue stripes like its Champion form, Greymon X.

It is known for being the partner of Huī Luò.

  • Breath Weapon: It knows Pepper Breath, Baby Burner and Spitfire like its base form.
  • Charged Attack: Its Baby Burner attack, where it amasses single shots of "Baby Flame" in its mouth and then spews it out all at once.
  • Fireballs: Its "Spitfire" attack fires a large fireball from its mouth.
  • Palette Swap: It's an Agumon with Greymon's stripes.

(Agumon (2006 anime) (Agumon (Belt), Agumon (S))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/agumonnext.png
Debut: Digimon Next: "Greymon VS Peckmon!"
Attacks: Baby Flame, Baby Burner, Baby Volcano, Baby Claw, Surudoi Tsumenote , Motto Surudoi Tsumenote

A unique subspecies of Agumon with red belts around its claws. This Agumon is similar to the original, having many of its attacks, but its scales are brighter and its claws are harder. It also has a unique evolution line; whereas vanilla-flavor Agumon naturally digivolves into Greymon, this Agumon digivolves into GeoGreymon.

Known for being the partner of Marcus Damon (Masaru Daimon) and Tsurugi Tatsuno.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its "Surudoi Tsume" and "Motto Surudoi Tsume" note  attacks.
  • Breath Weapon: It has a fire-breath attack called Baby Burner which it takes a large breath, and then exhales a large amount of fire forward, in addition to Baby Flame.
  • Fireballs: Its Baby Volcano attack shoots exploding ones.
  • Handwraps of Awesome: With belts! They're its main distinction from the original flavor Agumon.
  • Non-Indicative Name: Despite being listed as (2006 Anime Version), which would imply that it debuted in (and was most likely created for) Digimon Data Squad, it actually debuted in Digimon Next, which is not an anime.
  • Palette Swap: Of the original Agumon. Alongside some small differences in its structure here and there, Agumon (2006 Anime Version) is more yellow than the original.
  • Recurring Element: This guy is the Child/Rookie form of Data Squad's draconic Digimon line.

Agumon: Burst Mode

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/agumon_burst.jpg
Debut: Digimon Data Squad: "The Perfect Ending! Farewell, Leader of Fights"

Agumon's 2006 incarnation is also capable of reaching the limits of its abilities via "Burst Evolution." When that happens, it glows a red aura that extends into a dragon-shape, giving Agumon the ability to fly.

  • Battle Aura: Like all Burst Mode Digimon. This one transforms Agumon into more massive version with an elongated tail, covered in a winged, flaming DigiSoul aura, and reigns from his wrist straps for Masaru to ride.
  • Power Gives You Wings: The Burst Mode, coveres Agumon in a winged, flaming DigiSoul aura.
  • Super Mode: And it's also one of the only Digimon in Burst Mode that isn't an Ultimate/Mega.

DotAgumon

A special Agumon that emerged from a keychain game. Although it is without a doubt a subspecies of Agumon, its potential abilities are unknown.

  • Breath Weapon: Its "Rainbow Force" where it attacks the opponent with a prismatic energy ball. It shares this attack with DotFalcomon.

Agumon Expert (Agumon Hakase)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/agumonhakase.png
Debut: Digivice iC 20X
Attacks: Hakase Bounote , Hakase Bōnote , Baby Flame, Surodoi Tsumenote

A genius Agumon that has a doctorate in Digital Monster studies from Digital World University. The badge on its chest is proof of its doctorate. Though it is said that its degree was created by Agumon Hakase itself, it certainly is knowledgeable about Digimon types and territories. Due to its peculiar accent in which it attaches "Gya" to the end of its remarks, it is thought to possibly have come from a distant locale.

Agumon Hakase is the mascot for the Digimon Profile site.

  • Framing Device: The Digimon Profile site is its research on the Digital World.
  • Hat of Authority: To show that it's a scholar. It's "Hakase Bou" where it uses its hat to enchant itself with cleverness.
  • Meaningful Name: Hakase 「博士」 means "Professor" or "Doctor"
  • Pun: The "bou" (帽) in Hakase Bou (博士帽) means hat and is a reference to a mortarboard/academic cap. The "bō" in Hakase Bō (博士棒) is homophonic to "bou" (棒) which in this case means rod; stick, probably written this way to distinguish between the two.
  • Verbal Tic: "Gya."

Angoramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/angoramon.jpg
Attacks: Double Lariat, Petit Tornado, Pyon Dump

A Beast Digimon characterized by its long ears and the fur that covers its whole body. It hates fighting and has a calm personality, and avoids battle by detecting enemies approaching from a distance with its long ears. Also, its long ears allow it to fly slowly by spinning. It has a great appetite to maintain its large physique, and loses its super-hearing to detect the enemy only when its stomach rumbles.

Angoramon is the partner of Ruli Tsukiyono and one of the newbie Tamers in Digimon Project 2021.

  • Acrofatic: It appears very heavily built, but it's still able to hop into the air like a rabbit.
  • Badass Pacifist: Angoramon hates fighting and will avoid it as much as it can. Once it does get involved, however, it's more than capable of holding its own.
  • Big Eater: It maintains its large stature by eating a long of food.
  • Blow You Away: Much like fellow rabbit-like Digimon Terriermon and Lopmon, it's able to use its ears to blow enemies away. In its case, it uses "Petit Tornado" to conjure up a small tornado.
  • Ground Pound: Its "Pyon Dump" has Angoramon leap into the air and crush its opponent.
  • Heli-Critter: It can spin its ears like helicopter blades to fly.
  • Recurring Element: Of a sort, being the beast-type belonging to one of the main characters. Unlike previous examples, it takes more inspiration from Terriermon from Digimon Tamers than Gabumon; its the vaccine attribute of a trio consisting of one Virus Digimon, one Vaccine, and one Data, though it's actually a rabbit instead of a puppy with rabbit-like ears. It also belongs to the female lead as opposed to The Lancer.
  • Righteous Rabbit: An angora rabbit that's also a vaccine attribute.
  • Stout Strength: It's rotund in appearance, and has a lot of power to back it up. Subverted in that its concept art shows that it's actually quite thin. It chubby appearance is the result of the massive abounts of fluff that cover its body, much like the real-life angora rabbit.
  • Super-Hearing: Its ears can pick up enemies approaching from a distance. However, when its stomach is growling, they don't work.
  • Wrestler in All of Us: Its Double Lariat attack has it spin its arms to mow opponents down.
  • Younger Than They Look: Angoramon is a huge Digimon, about the size of some Champion levels. Despite this, it's a Rookie.

Arcadiamon (Rookie) (Arkadimon Child)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arkadimon_child.jpg
Debut: Digimon V-Tamer 01: "Neo Attacks!!!"
Attacks: Soul Absorption, Erase Sickle

A cursed Digimon artificially created based on the data of various Digimon. Its nature is to evolve by absorbing its opponent's data, but it is unclear if it possesses any sense of self. Because these details are unknown, it is currently being investigated. Its Special Moves disassemble and absorb its opponent's data (Soul Absorption), as well as erase its configuration data (Erase Sickle).

Its most notable partners are Neo Saiba and Ryuji Mishima.

  • Deader than Dead: Any Digimon Arkadimon kills is completely dead and gone.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Leaving aside the fact the only time Arkadimon's Rookie form has been seen it could throw down with Megas and walk away, it can still destroy Digimon utterly with its attacks, something a bit beyond the normal for almost anything below Mega level itself.
  • Sinister Scythe: It has two of them for hands.

Argomon (Rookie) (Algomon (Child))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/algomon_child.jpg
Debut: Digimon Adventure: (2020): "Tokyo Digital Crisis"
Attacks: Brute Knuckle, Imprisonment

The Rookie-evolved form of Algomon. It watches over young, data-consuming Algomon, and intercepts enemies when they come near.

  • Combat Tentacles: Its "Brute Knuckle" attack has it curl up its many tentacles into balls, then clobber the enemy with them, while "Imprisonment" has it use them to tie the enemy up.
  • Mutant: It's a Mutant-type Digimon.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Having evolved, it's become a lot more purple than the predominantly green In-Training level Algomon.

Armadillomon (Armadimon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/armadillomon.png
Debut: Digimon Adventure 02: "Digital Gate Open"note
Attacks: Rolling Stone, Scratch Beat, Rigid Block

A Mammal Digimon covered in a hard, rocklike shell. It has a rather carefree personality, but it can occasionally get itself hurt if it gets too carried away. Armadillomon is a descendant of an ancient Digimon species like Veemon, and as such, is capable of Armor Digivolution. Its special attacks include Beat Blaster, where it scratches the opponent with its claws, and Diamond Shell, where it curls up and rams into the enemy.

Best known for being the partner Digimon to Iori (Cody) Hida.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its Signature Move is striking the opponent with the elongated claws on its forelegs, Scratch Beat.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: It's design is based off of the Glyptodont, an extinct subfamily of armadillos, which are much larger and more heavily armored. There is a type of Glyptodont called Doedicurus which has a spiked tail, like an ankylosaurus.
  • Expy: Downplayed. Out of the 02 mons, Armadillomon actually doesn't have a direct comparison by itself; the closest it has to a resemblance is to Gomamon, due to being a Deep Savers Digimon whose carefree personality contrasts with their more serious partner.
  • Meaningful Name: Armadi is short for Armadillo, a mammal with armored plates.
  • Rolling Attack: Its Special Move is curling up its body and rushing the opponent, Rolling Stone.
  • Wild West Armadillo: It has a Texan accent in the dub, which is adapted from its Japanese Nagoya dialect.

Aruraumon (Alraumon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alraumon.png
Attacks: Nemesis Ivy, Gloom Dust, Hungry Hand

A Plant Digimon that accomplished an evolution just like Palmon. It seems that, at noon, it opens up its arms and the flower on its head to perform photosynthesis. The aroma emitted from the flower on its head is definitely inherited from Palmon, so as usual it is intensely foul.

  • Green Thumb: Its "Nemesis Ivy" attack extends its vine fingers to stab or capture and disorient the enemy.
  • Japanese Ranguage: "Aruraumon" is the romanization used for "Alraumon".
  • Life Drain: Its "Hungry Hand" attack drains the foe's HP with its claws.
  • Meaningful Name: Alrau comes from alraune 「アルラウネ Aruraune」, meaning "mandrake".
  • Palette Swap: It's largely identical to Palmon, just with a grayish-purple flower instead of a pink one.
  • Poisonous Person: Its "Gloom Dust" attack spreads a fog of poisonous gas at the foe.

Bacomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bacomon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Collectors
Attacks: Gum Roll, Transdelivery

A Digimon who hides its body within cardboard boxes. Its personality is timid to the point that it prefers to hide itself indoors, but being covered in cardboard bestows it a sense of security that allows it to walk about outdoors uninhibited. Anyone who tries to peek at the insides of the cardboard boxes will end up getting packed into and trapped within one of the boxes. It is not fond of battling as the cardboard is very soft.

  • Cardboard Box Home: Its true form makes its home inside several cardboard boxes.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Has folds on the bottom of its head that look amazingly like them.
  • Duct Tape for Everything: Is carrying a roll of what looks like duct tape.
  • Meaningful Name: "Bako" comes from the Japanese for cardboard box.
  • Mutant: It's a mutant-type Digimon.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it a Rookie. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.

Bearmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bearmon2.jpg
Debut: Digimon World 3note
Attacks: Koguma Seikendzukinote , Bear Roll

A Beast Digimon with the appearance of a bear-cub, whose trademark is its baseball cap which is worn backwards. Although it is a little timid at first, it immediately becomes bosom buddies with other Digimon. However, once it begins to battle, with the uncommon physical strength and will-power it possesses—to continue battling no matter what kind of attack it suffers—it becomes a very reliable being. The ability for close combat hidden within its body is very strong, to the point that it bound its fists in leather belts so that its special punches wouldn't hurt itself.

Notable users of Bearmon include Daigo Nishijima, and it's notable for being one of the starters (and mascot) of Digimon World 3.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its "Bear Claw" attack which attacks the enemy with its claws.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: Or Bear Fisted Monk. Its Special Move is driving a punchnote  into the opponent's chest with all its strength, "Koguma Seikendzuki" note .
  • Bears Are Bad News: Described as being fearsome in battle, apparently possessing greater strength than an average Rookie and a lot of determination that makes it hard to keep down. It's not an inherently evil Digimon though, on the contrary...
  • Beary Friendly: This cute bear-cub Digimon has a naturally friendly disposition, even if it's initially shy with strangers.
  • Determinator: It'll keep fighting no matter what kind of attack it takes.
  • Inconsistent Dub: In Digimon World 3's localization, it was called "Kumamon", possibly to tie it into the then-released Digimon Frontier.
  • One-Steve Limit: Shares its original dub name with the Human Spirit of Ice, named "Chackmon" in Japan. It has gone by Bearmon ever since Frontier's dub.
  • Rolling Attack: Its "Bear Roll" where it curls up and rolls into the enemy at high speed.

Betamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/betamon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 1
Attacks: Dengeki Biririnnote , Beta Slugger, Cutter Fin, Water Tower

A quadrupedal Amphibian Digimon. Although Betamon has a gentle, docile personality, once it is angered, it emits its "Dengeki Biririn" from its body, generating more than 1 MV of electricity to strike the opponent.

Notable users of Betamon include the American Chosen Child Michael, and Keisuke Amasawa.

  • Battle Boomerang: Its "Beta Slugger" in which it removes the sharp fin from its back and shoots it like a boomerang.
  • Making a Splash: Its "Water Tower" attack, causes a geyser of water to erupt from underneath the foe.
  • Meaningful Name: Beta is possibly short for betabeta (「ベタベタ」) which means sticky, or betanko (「ベタンコ」) which means squashed.
  • Out of Focus: Betamon is one of the first two Rookie-level Digimon, debuting alongside Agumon. However, while Agumon went on to become the Series Mascot, Betamon continues to be left in its co-star's shadow. At the very least however, it's been getting a bit more love such as being a starter in Hacker's Memory, as well as getting an X-Antibody form in 2020.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Dengeki Biririn", discharges an electric current emitted from its body that is over a million volts, striking the opponent.

Betamon X (Betamon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/betamonx3.jpg
Attacks: Dengeki Biririn 185Vnote , Dengeki Biririnnote , Beta Slugger, Water Tower

As a Digimon used for enjoyment by some enthusiasts due to its emerald green body color and gentle personality, it continues to be overhunted, and although it is endangered, it is gradually becoming experienced at fighting as a lifeform that evolves into a fine Aquatic Digimon. Both the claws on its feet and its crest grew, and it now performs attacks against approaching enemies.

  • Palette Swap: Aside from a couple of extra fins and spikes on its legs, it's just a more bluish version of the regular Betamon.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Dengeki Biririn 185V" attack, an upgrade version of "Dengeki Biririn", that which measures up to 1.85 MV, once its anger reaches its peak.

Biyomon (Piyomon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/piyomon.jpg
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 4

A Chick Digimon whose wings have developed to function like arms, and as such, it has learned to grip onto items like a human being. Consequently however, it's a rather poor flyer on par with Patamon that usually sticks to the ground, but is at least capable of flying out of harm's way. It's a curious Digimon whose day-to-day activities include pecking at Tanemon's leaves. It dreams of one day Digivolving into Birdramon so it can freely fly through the air, and dreads the possibility of becoming the ground-based Kokatorimon. Its special attack, Spiral Twister, fires spiraling bright green fire from its wings.

Notable users of Piyomon include Sora Takenouchi, Chika Daimon (Kristy Damon), Kosaburo Katsura, and Akiho Rindou.

  • Beak Attack: Its "Katai Kuchibashi" note  attack where it pecks the foe with its beak and "Tsuibami Attack" note  where it divebombs the ground beak-first.
  • Dash Attack: It's "Dash Tsuibami" note  attack where it dashes at the enemy and pecks it.
  • Feather Fingers: Deconstructed; its wings are formed to be capable of gripping objects, but as a consequence it's a rather poor flyer.
  • Fireballs: It's "Piyoccho Ball" note  attack fires a phantom blue fireball.
  • Meaningful Name: Piyo comes from Piyopiyo (「ピヨピヨ」), which is the sound of chirping and Biyo is a corruption of Piyo.
  • Playing with Fire: Its "Magical Fire" attack shoots a spiral of ethereal flames and "Double Fire" attack shoots two simultaneous spirals of ethereal flame.
  • Recurring Element: Piyomon is the avian Digimon of Adventure, though she uses fire attacks like Agumon as opposed to later birds. Ironically, its Data Squad incarnation is not one.
  • Technicolor Fire: Its "Magical Fire" and "Double Fire" attacks are green and it's "Piyoccho Ball" is blue.
  • The Rival: It sees Patamon as this in terms of flying ability, as they're at about the same level in that regard.
  • Tornado Move: It's "Piyoccho Hurricane" note  attack creates a large phantom tornado and its "Spiral Wing" attack where it either summons a small tornado or briefly surrounds itself with a vortex of wind that knocks away the enemy.
  • Wreathed in Flames: Its "Piyorin Attack" note  where it covers itself in fire and divebombs the enemy with its beak.

BlackAgumon (Agumon (Black))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackagumon.png
Attacks: Baby Flame, Kūchū Baby Flamenote , Spitfire, Mach Jab, Uppercut, Flying Kick, Dangerous Kamukamunote , Mach Jab Combo

A Reptile Digimon which has grown up and become able to walk on two legs, it has an appearance like a tiny dinosaur. Because it is still on the way to adulthood, its power is low, but as its personality is quite ferocious, it doesn't understand fear. It has grown hard, sharp claws on its hands and feet, and demonstrates its power in battle. It is also a being that foretells evolution to a great and powerful Digimon.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its "Mach Jab" where it dashes forward, stabbing with its claws, "Uppercut" where it punches upward at its opponent, and "Mach Jab Combo" where it throws punches or claw attacks faster than the eye can see.
  • Breath Weapon: It retains its "Baby Flame", "Kūchū Baby Flame" and "Spitfire" attacks.
  • Dark Is Evil: Both BlackAgumon and its evolutions are distinguished from the typical Agumon line by being a) black in scales and name, and b) destructive Virus types.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Agumon: it's a Virus retype of the Vaccine-aligned Agumon, and can evolve into powerful Virus types such as BlackGreymon and DarkTyrannomon to contrast Agumon's own evolutions. The descriptions of the two in the Digimon Reference Book are also very similar.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Its "Flying Kick" where it launches straight forward, kicking in midair, "Dangerous Kamukamu" note  is a powerful biting attack and Dynamite Kick is a flurry of kicks in midair.
  • Palette Swap: It's a black recolor of the standard orange Agumon.

BlackAgumon X (Agumon (Black) (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackagumon_x.png
Debut: Digital Monster X Ver.2
Attacks: Baby Flame, BB Burner

Similarly to regular Agumon, it became a more ferocious Digimon due to the effects of the X-Antibody. Agumon's violent hunting of prey, in which it relies solely on its high offensive power and acts purely on instinct, can only be called a rampage and is a fearsome sight to behold.

  • Animal Eyes: Its eyes have slit pupils and lack a visible sclera, giving it a more feral appearance than the regular Agumon X.
  • Breath Weapon: Out of the base form's attacks, it only keeps Baby Flame, but it also gets a new attack called BBnote  Burner.
  • Charged Attack: BB Burner uses all of the fire it stores in its mouth for a single attack.
  • Palette Swap: In keeping with BlackAgumon's evolution line, it looks like an Agumon X with DarkTyrannomon's color scheme.
  • Prehistoric Animal Analogue: Its artwork makes it look suspiciously like the Jurassic Park depiction of a velociraptor. Only with extra fire breath.

BlackAgumon (2006 anime) (Agumon (Black) (2006 Anime Version))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackagumon_2006.png
Debut: Digital Monster Battle Junction
Attacks: Spitfire, Tai Atarinote , Baby Flame, Baby Breath

A Digimon Next-styled version of Agumon (Black). It has yet to have an official profile.

BlackGabumon (Gabumon (Black))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackgabumon.png

A Gabumon who evolved to a Virus-species. The fur pelt it wears was made by gathering up the data of a viral Garurumon. Although it is violent, it turns cowardly and timid when its pelt is removed, just like the Vaccine-species, and its true face is still a secret.

  • An Ice Person: Its "Black Ice" attack, leaves a trail of icicles that freeze those who touch them.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Petit Fire", "Blue Fire" and "Gabumon Shot" attacks, the latter of which emits a small blast from the mouth.
  • Dark Is Evil: Both BlackGabumon and its evolutions are distinguished from the main Gabumon line by being a) black in fur and name, and b) destructive Virus types.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Gabumon: it's a Virus retype of the Vaccine-aligned Gabumon, and can evolve into powerful Virus types such as BlackGarurumon and BlackGaogamon to contrast Gabumon's own evolutions.
  • Horn Attack: Its "Little Horn" and "Tsuno Kougeki" note  attacks.
  • Palette Swap: It's a black-and-white recolor of the standard blues-and-yellow Gabumon. Its "Petit Fire" attack is also red instead of blue.
  • Playing with Fire: Its "Petit Fire" and "Blue Fire" attacks, the former shoots a stream of red flame and the latter shoots a stream of blue fire.
  • Techni Color Fire: Its attacks with both red and blue fire.

BlackGuilmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackguilmon_recolor.jpg
Attacks: Fire Grenade, Virus Breath, Rock Crusher

A Digimon with a ferocious personality characteristic of carnivorous beasts. It is at the same level as Guilmon in terms of parameters. The wild nature of a Virus attribute Digimon shows more strongly in it compared to Guilmon.

  • Breath Weapon: Its "Virus Breath" and "Fire Grenade" attacks.
  • Evil Counterpart: It is an evil version of Guilmon that has embraced its viral instincts.
  • Fireballs: Its "Fire Grenade" attack, in which it spits out a black flame bullet which detonates when it contacts a target.
  • Palette Swap: Its color scheme is the opposite of the regular Guilmon's.
  • Plaguemaster: Its "Virus Breath" spews out black flame full of computer viruses.
  • Technicolor Fire: It breaths black flames.
  • Wolverine Claws: Its "Rock Crusher" attack, where it interlaces its claws, leaps into the air and slams its fist either on the ground (to create some kind of tremor) or it directly hits the opponent.

Blucomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blucomon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Encounters
Attacks: Baby Hail, Ice Mash

A Small Dragon Digimon that resides in areas isolated from the outside world by ice. Its physical strength has been tempered by cold, harsh environment, allowing it to lift objects larger than itself with ease. However, because its body is made mainly out of ice, its body will shrink and its power will weaken when exposed to high temperatures. Due to being brought up in areas with small populations, they will tend to form very strong bonds even with Digimon of different species that they encounter. It is especially close to Penmon and Gabumon.

  • An Ice Person: It's mostly made of ice and uses ice attacks.
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: The official translations are "Bulucomon" and "Bulcomon". The name is derived from "Blue" and "Draco". Both instances mistranslated "Blue".
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Baby Hail" attack where it exhaling chilled air from its mouth, shooting out countless shards of ice.
  • Meaningful Name: Blu comes from 「ブルー Burū」 ("blue") and Co comes from draco (Latin for "dragon") or 子 ("child").
  • Non-Mammalian Hair: It has a ruff made of fur around its neck
  • Our Dragons Are Different: This dragon is made mostly of ice which makes it shrink and its power will weaken when exposed to high temperatures.
  • Wolverine Claws: Its "Ice Mash" attack, where it attacks continuously with the claws on both hands.

Bokomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bokomon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Frontier: "The Legendary Warrior! Agnimon of Flame"
Attacks: Monoshiri Booknote , Nigeashimou Dashnote

A Mutant Digimon dressed in a haramaki that resembles a tiny old man, and is often seen with Neemon. This Digimon is hardly the fighting type, with its most notable move being to run away. However, Bokomon is notable for its nature as a scholar, possessing a wealth of knowledge thanks to its Monoshiri Booknote , which details many aspects of the Digital World. Despite its often boisterous personality, it's capable of getting serious when push comes to shove. It often pulls and snaps on Neemon's pants whenever Bokomon is annoyed with it.

Bokomon has notably assisted the legendary warriors in Digimon Frontier.

  • Great Big Book of Everything: Its "Monoshiri Book" note  where it inspects its book for information.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: It's described as being boisterous and lively, but capable of being serious when the situation calls for it.
  • Meaningful Name: Probably comes from bokoboko, the sound of hitting something hollow. Bokoru is slang for beating someone. It can be noted that "boko" is an anagram of the word book in the roman alphabet.
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: Its "Nigeashimou Dash" note  where it runs away at tremendous speed when it feels it can't win.
  • The Smart Guy: It's described as a scholar, and in many iterations is shown as a reliable source of information.
  • Those Two Guys: With Neemon, according to the latter's bio.
  • Younger Than They Look: It's a Rookie Digimon that's described as resembling an old man.

Bun

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bun2.png
Debut: C'mon Digimon
Attacks: Spinning Tail Cyclone

Bun is a mysterious, small, dragon-like Digimon that appears in the C'mon Digimon manga. It doesn't seem to have the ability to evolve, but can grow in strength without evolution. Its real name is unknown; "Bun" is the name given to it by its Tamer. He is considered a "Damemon" or "Badmon", a defective digimon that is unable to evolve. Despite this, it is listed as a Rookie level in official sources. It is partnered to Kentarou Kamon.

  • Dead Guy Junior: Its original partner named it after his deceased dog, who dragged him out of a fire before collapsing.
  • Magikarp Power: Bun is incapable of evolving, and absolutely useless in most battles, but can turn the battle in its favor when the chips are down.
  • Malicious Misnaming: It's referred to as a "Damemon" or "Badmon", since it's incapable of evolution and can't do very well in battles.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: Its head is actually intended to be a Koromon (it’s identical to how its designer drew the species before Bandai produced official artwork) while its body seems based on Agumon - implying something went wrong during its evolution leaving it trapped between In-Training and Rookie levels. Koromon itself has been described in-universe as looking like a decapitated rabbit meaning Bun looks like a bunny from the neck up and a dinosaur from the neck down.
  • One-Steve Limit: There actually is a Digimon named Damemon in Digimon Fusion. As "Damemon" is only a derogatory term for Bun, it's downplayed.
  • Single Specimen Species: Bun is the only member of its supposed species.

Burgermon (Burgamon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/burgamon.jpg
Debut: D-Spirit
Attacks: Delicious Patty, Green Pickles

A Digimon that took in the data of various hamburgers. It enjoys serving hamburgers that it puts all of its skill into making to hungry Digimon most of all. It aims to start a first-rate hamburger restaurant that will bring in a lot of customers with EbiBurgamon.

  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: It has a hat that looks like a hamburger bun.
  • Berserk Button: It will attack anyone who disturbs others while they're eating.
  • Deadly Disc: Its Green Pickles attack has it through a disc in the shape of a pickle slice.
  • Inconsistent Dub: The D-Spirit called it HamBurgermon, while everywhere else calls it Burgermon.
  • Meaningful Name: Burga is derived from Burger which is short for Hamburger. One localization calls it HamBurgermon to differate it from both EbiBurgamon and Burgamon (Adult).

BushiAgumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bushiagumon.jpg
Debut: DigiWindow (Digimon Pocket Wars)
Attacks: Choukousoku Ichimonjigirinote , Chouteisoku Ichimonjigirinote

A wandering super-swordsman — my name is Bushi Agumon. The family crest adorning its chest is proof of its status as a super-swordsman, at least according to Bushi Agumon itself, though there's no denying that its swordsmanship is first-rate. However, the meaning behind its 'super-swordsman' title is a mystery. It appears to excel at attacking at varied paces.

  • Meaningful Name: Bushi「武士」is a warrior or samurai.
  • Katanas Are Just Better: It wields a Katana that it uses in it's "Choukousoku Ichimonjigiri" note  and "Chouteisoku Ichimonjigiri" note  attacks.

Candlemon (Candmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/candlemon.png
Debut: Pendulum 3.0 Nightmare Soldiers

A Flame Digimon whose Digicore, which can also be said to be a Digimon's heart, burns intensely while mounted atop its head. When the Digicore on Candlemon's head ceases to burn, it becomes unable to maintain its life processes. One theory suggests that the flame on its head is its true form, and that the rest of its body is naught but a dummy. Despite being a Flame Digimon, it has a docile personality and will not bring danger to its surroundings out of its own volition.

Airu Suzaki has a Candlemon on her team.

Cardmon C1

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cardmon_c1.png
Debuted in: Digimon World 3

A Digimon that, to this day, has only appeared in Digimon World 3. Defeating them would drop Booster Pack items to use for the card battles, and the more cards they have surrounding them, the higher their level. This particular Cardmon can be found by kicking trees.

Cardmon C2

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cardmon_c2.png

A Digimon that, to this day, has only appeared in Digimon World 3. Defeating them would drop Booster Pack items to use for the card battles, and the more cards they have surrounding them, the higher their level. This particular Cardmon can be found by fishing.

  • Cards of Power: Like C1, averted. The cards don't do anything for either Cardmon and are only used for card battles.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Has only appeared in Digimon World 3.
  • Palette Swap: A blue version of C1. Since it's called C2, it's likely to have been discovered first.
  • Item-Drop Mechanic: Also like C1, its sole purpose was to drop Booster Packs.

Chikurimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chikurimon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Xros Wars: "Xrosroad!! The Boys' Paths Cross"

A Digimon that lurks underwater or in the shade of rocks, it doesn't move around very much while it waits quietly in one place. Although it has a habit of attacking those that come near, it is never belligerent and won't attack those that stay away from it. Because it proliferates abnormally when the temperature exceeds thirty degrees Celsius, Chikurimon can often be seen thickly crowded into lakes or around rocks with the coming of summer, and Digimon that come near water are often attacked.

  • Action Bomb: What else would you expect from a Digimon shaped like a mine?
  • Explosive Breeder: Well, it is a sea-mine.
  • Goggles Do Nothing: Its eyes look like it's wearing goggles.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made them a Rookie. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Taking You with Me: Its "Final Chikurimon" attack has it blow itself up, taking its enemies with it.

Chuumon (Tyumon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chuumon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 3 (Scumon's profile and artwork), Digital Monster Ver. WonderSwan (physical cameo)

A rat-like Digimon that is always feeding Scumon with unscrupulous thoughts. It has forged a strong friendship with Scumon (that said, it might be only Chuumon that thinks this?), after a past incident where Chuumon was caught in a Carnivore system trap placed on the Network, and was saved by Scumon who just happened to be passing by. While it is generally cowardly, its cunning is unparalleled and it will dash away to safety at the first sign of danger.

  • Ascended Extra: Chuumon originally only appeared in Scumon's artwork and description before being made into a proper Digimon.
  • Dirty Coward: It's a shameless coward and will book it the moment things get dangerous. It even has an attack called "Nigeru" which means run away.
  • Good Angel, Bad Angel: Just a bad one, in this case. Chuumon rides on Scumon's shoulder, whispering illicit thought in his ear and tempting him into immoral behavior.
  • Mon Bites Mon: It's "Gashigashi" note  where it gnaws on the opponent.
  • Meaningful Name: Tyu is a Nihon-shiki romanization of 「チュ」, from tyūtyū (「チューチュー」), onomatopoeia for the sound mice make.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: While most Digimon are drawn in either an American superhero 1990s comic book style or a Japanese kaiju artstyle, Chuumon is drawn like American and European graffiti art (specifically Rat Fink), owing to it originally being a bit player that would never be seen without Scumon.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: Its "Cheese Bomb" attack where it throws an explosive bomb of cheese at the adversary. Mistakenly eating it will result in the unthinkable.
  • Toilet Humor: Its "Yuujou no Unchi Nage" note  where it throws poop.
  • Visual Pun: It might not be a coincidence that the walking homage to Rat Fink is a rat itself.
  • You Dirty Rat!: A dirty, cowardly little rodent who rides on a piece of living dung that it encourages to behave in wicked ways. Its "Tell a Lie" has it whisper words to the enemy that make them lose their will to fight.
  • Your Size May Vary: Sometimes it's portrayed as being the same size as most Rookie levels, but most of the time it's the size of a regular mouse.

ClearAgumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/clearagumon.jpg

A subspecies of ToyAgumon, whose whole body is made up of unique, clear plastic blocks. It is a very rare Digimon, and is said to have been created by a child just like ToyAgumon, but is difficult to find, and it has been estimated that the likelihood of doing so is one thousandth of ToyAgumon. Its personality is just like that of ToyAgumon's, and despite being cowardly, it possesses a heart of justice that cannot turn a blind eye to evil.

  • Cowardly Lion: Same as ToyAgumon, it may not be very brave, but it can't condone injustice.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Mullion Punch" attack, where it rotates and gives a fire punch.
  • Fireballs: Its "Precious Flare" attack, fires a fireball from its mouth, albeit a plastic one.
  • Palette Swap: With ToyAgumon, only that the pallet to be swapped is more on its transparency, rather than its color.
  • Shapeshifter Weapon: Its "Dream Missile" attack, where it opens up mouth to form a cannon, and shoots a missile or twinkling stars at the foe.

Commandramon

For tropes pertaining to this Digimon, see its entry in the page for the D-Brigade.

Coronamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/coronamon_20th.jpg

A Beast Digimon born from the fusion of sun-watching data. It has an innocent personality due to its sense of justice being powerfully sincere.

Coronamon is the mascot of Digimon World Dawn, and is the main partner of Koh.

  • Elemental Punch: Its "Corona-knuckle" attack, fires continuous punches with its blazing fists through the power of fire.
  • Meaningful Name: A corona is a slightly colored ring of light seen through haze or clouds around a celestial body, such as the Sun. Latin root comes from "Crown".
  • Panthera Awesome: Looks like a tiny lion cub, wreathed in flames, which will get increasingly prominent with its evolutions.
  • Playing with Fire: Its main method of attacking.
  • Weaponized Headgear: Its "Corona Flame" attack, where by exhausting all of its physical strength, it fires a flaming shot at the opponent by concentrating the power of fire on its forehead.
  • Wreathed in Flames: Its "Petit Prominence" attack, wraps its whole body in flames, to either it defends itself or bodyslam the opponent.

Crabmon (Ganimon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crabmon.png
Debut: Pendulum 2.0 Deep Savers

Crustacean Digimon that stuck the metal data dissolved in the Net Ocean to its body, rapidly enhancing its combat ability. It attacks with the gigantic blade on its left foreleg and the grip of its strong right foreleg and defends with the spine-covered shell that covers itself, inflicting damage to attacking opponents, so it's a confident person with substantial self-confidence in battle. Its weak points are its joint parts and its belly, but because it's also aware of that, it never shows that chink in its armor. It likes to entrap its opponents, and has a rascally personality.

Ganimon is a notable partner to the Australian Chosen Child Dingo (Derek).

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: It's "Scissors Execution" attack, aims its left foreleg at the opponent's neck.
  • Attack Its Weak Point: Its underbelly and joints are the only weak point in its armor. It's quite aware of this, so it never shows that chink in its armor.
  • Giant Enemy Crab: It's a crab roughly the size of a dog.
  • Meaningful Name: Gani comes from kani 「蟹」 meaning "crab".
  • Trap Master: It likes to trap its opponents.

Crabmon X (Ganimon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ganimonx.jpg

Having survived in the intensely competitive Net Ocean, Ganimon stuck the metal data dissolved in the ocean to its nimble body, and gained the ability to instantly restore parts of it that are damaged without leaving any chinks. Because it repeatedly repairs the damage to its shell, its appearance may differ slightly depending on the individual. By capitalizing on its heavy body, it acquired its Signature Move "Heavy Crunch", in which it weighs down the opponent and clamps them with its pincers.

Cutemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cutemon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion: "Shoutmon, Roar!"

A mischievous and peppy but timid Fairy Digimon that lives in cold areas. Although they may look like big rabbit-ears, it has not ears, but a kind of sense organ with which it can sense the approach of other Digimon in no time. Thanks to this, it is extremely rare to catch sight of Cutemon, because it will immediately hide itself. If you do happen to catch sight of one, it is either rare fortune, or Cutemon is mischievously luring you into a trap. Its trademark muffler is beyond imagination with its insulating properties, as it is very warm. If you are able to obtain one, you can consider yourself lucky. It has the ability to heal wounds, and if it's in the vicinity of an injured Digimon, it will come closer, taking care not to be noticed, and heal that Digimon, and heal that Digimon. Its scratches and cuts are already healed before it realises what's going on, due to Cutemon's cute and mischievous nature.

Cutemon is a member of the Xros Heart (Fusion Fighters) army and initially partnered to Taiki (Mikey) Kudo. In the manga and sequel, it becomes partnered to Akari (Angie) Hinomoto.

DemiDevimon (PicoDevimon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/demidevimon.png
Debut: Digimon V-Tamer 01: "The 5 Trials!!"

A tiny familiar Digimon which has the appearance of a bat. It exists to serve as a familiar for higher-class Digimon like Devimon and Myotismon, but it is also said to be the one responsible for tempting Devimon, who was an angel-species Digimon, and luring it to the Dark Side. Although its offensive ability and the like are not strong, it is cunning and makes mischief all over. It prefers the dark, and is often with a higher-level Digimon at all times, so it seems that it is seldom observed on its own.

DemiDevimon is the mascot of the Black Sword Guard Team, and is notable as a major antagonist in Digimon Adventure, being The Dragon to Myotismon.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its "DemiDevi Claw" where it attacks with the claws on both feet.
  • Bat Out of Hell: Type 1. Its "Bat Flutter" attack hits the enemy with its wings, or shoots a stream of tiny bats at the enemy.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Its offensive power is pitiful by Rookie standards, which it makes up for with its cunning nature.
  • The Corrupter: Rumored to have turned an Angemon into an Devimon.
  • Drugs Are Bad: Its "Demi Darts" attack where it throws syringes filled with viruses at the enemy. This is one of its moves you wouldn't want to take.

  • Hypnotic Eyes: Its "Akuma no Sasayaki" note  emits hypnotic waves from its eyes.

  • Meaningful Name: Pico means very small, Demi means half and Devi is short for devil.
  • Waddling Head: It's essentially a round head with stubby legs and wings.

Dokunemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dokunemon_2.jpg

A Larva Digimon whose appearance is very similar to Kunemon. Like Kunemon, it is being studied in order to solve the mystery of Insect Digimon, but unlike Kunemon, it has a timid personality, and because it usually lives hidden in forests, it is difficult to find, and so research has not progressed. In addition, it carries a very potent toxin, and it is dangerous to even touch it.

  • Bee-Bee Gun: Its "Insect Horde" attack, summons a swarm of digital bees to sting the foe.
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Which it uses in its "Worm Venom" and "Poison Ride" attacks.
  • Eyeless Face: Much like Kunemon, Dokunemon has no visible eyes.
  • Light 'em Up: Its "Capture Net" attacks by by radiating light.
  • Meaningful Name: Dokune is a portmanteau of doku 「毒(ドク)」 meaning "poison" and kune, from kunekune 「クネクネ」, an onomatopoeia for "wriggling".
  • Palette Swap: It's a recolor of Kunemon with green replacing yellow and purple replacing blue.
  • Poisonous Person: It has poison running throughout its whole body, making it dangerous to approach. Its "Worm Venom" attack has it jump up and spits poison liquid at the foe.
  • Shrinking Violet: It's a timid creature that keeps itself hidden.

Dondokomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dondokomon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion: "Shoutmon, Roar!"

Suddenly materialising out of nowhere when a disturbance occurs, it is a festival-loving Digimon that pounds out a hot rhythm and stirs up the place. Its wave, which shakes the body to the core with that characteristic rhythm, stimulates the listener's nerves and gets them completely excited. Although it's not wrong for it to get people excited at games, if by some chance Dondokomon shows up at a brawl, it will definitely grow into a battle royal which swallows up even the exited onlookers, causing a catastrophe.

Dondokomon is a member of the Xros Heart (Fusion Fighters) army.

  • Animate Inanimate Object: A walking, talking taiko drum.
  • Jagged Mouth: Type 1. It's a zig-zagged mouth that isn't very sharp.

  • Scarf of Asskicking: Dondokomon's tassels look like one.

Dorumon (DORUmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dorumon.jpg

A Beast Digimon and carrier of the X-Antibody whose Digicore Interface identifies it as a Prototype Digimon, presumably created before the discovery of the Digital World. As a Combat Species, its instinct in battle is higher than average, biting at everything it sees as a result. The data stored deep within its Digicore, uncovered during an experiment, shows the potential to Digivolve into a mighty dragon, or a legendary knight. Its special attacks are Metal Cannon, where it fires an iron ball from its mouth, and Dash Metal, where it uses Metal Cannon while charging forward.

Dorumon is notable as the partner to Zhìguāng Lóng, Ryuji Mishima, and Kota Doumoto of Digimon Chronicle. It's also the main character of Digimon X-Evolution.

  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: It's officially translated as DORUmon. While "DORU" is an acronym, it's unnecessary for the Digimon's name to follow suit.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Metal Cannon" where it launches iron balls from its mouth and "Metal Shoot" where it emits a small blast from the mouth.
  • Dash Attack: Its "Dash Metal" where it either uses Metal Cannon while dashing, or a high-speed tackle and "Hyper Dash Metal" is a high-speed tackle that sends shockwaves through its opponent.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: Its main method of attack.
  • Foreshadowing: Dorumon does indeed tend to grow into mighty Digimon, like Grademon or Alphamon.
  • Fun with Acronyms: DORU is an acronym for Digimon OR Unknown-Monster.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Part beast.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Is a blueish-purple color and very powerful.
  • Recurring Element: Dorumon is the Child/Rookie form of one of the draconic Digimon lines across the several X-Antibody media, primarily Chronicle and X-Evolution.
  • Super Prototype: Of all Digimon. The DORU acronym in its name stands for Digimon OR Unknown, presumably due to its nature.

Dracmon (Dracumon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dracumon.jpg
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game - Digitalize Booster Packnote
Attacks: Eye of Nightmare, Undead Fang

The Dark Area's most mischievous Digimon. For the sake of a prank, it will meet the challenge unflinchingly even if it is accompanied by some risk. It once nearly got itself killed trying to graffiti the faces of all four of the Four Holy Beasts...(it's unknown whether it succeeded). It was once a bloodsucking Digimon, but these days it forgets to suck blood, and it seems it's trying to play some kind of trick on the Royal Knights. It is said that those who look into the "Eye of Nightmare" cast from the evil eyes on the palms of its hands have their hearts completely dominated by Dracumon. Also, appropriately for a vampire, it seems to have a biting attack technique using its fangs called "Undead Fang".

Dracumon is known for being the partner of Ren Tobari and Kaito Shinonome, and is a natural carrier of the X-Antibody.

  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: It has two mismatched eyes on its palms
  • Hypnotic Eyes: Its "Eye of Nightmare" attack, where it hypnotizes the foe with the wicked eyes in the palms of its hands.

  • Our Vampires Are Different: A little vampire child that has forgotten to suck blood and instead likes to pull pranks.
  • The Prankster: The most mischievous Digimon in the whole of the Digital World's hell, and it'll never turn down a prank, no matter how suicidal it might be to try.
  • Slasher Smile: Its default expression is a big, toothy grin.

Dracomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dracomon.png

An ancient, pure-blooded Dragon Digimon that is said to be the "Progenitor" of all Dramon-type Digimon. It possesses physical ability to a degree that could not be imagined from its small build, and both its power and its quick wits are top class among Child Digimon. Although its personality is ferocious, Dracomon can show its gentle side only to the others it has recognized. It has wings, but it is unable to fly because they are not sufficiently developed. Also, it has a nature whose primary trait is wanting to collect "shiny things", with an especially strange attachment to gems and metals, and it eats and assimilates its favorite things. Amongst the scales that cover Dracomon's whole body, there is one scale that is called the "Gekirin". If it is touched there, Dracomon loses its mind to an excess of anger, and indiscriminately fires its "G Shurunen".

A Dracomon is notable for being a member of the Blue Flare army.

  • Breath Weapon: Its "Baby Breath" where it blows high temperature breath at the opponent. and "G Shurunen" where upon touching its Gekirin scales, it indiscriminately fires a beam shot from its mouth after it has intensely radiated the horns on its head.
  • Meaningful Name: Draco 「ドラコ」 is a latin word meaning dragon.
  • Monster Progenitor: Every Digimon that bares the name -Dramon is said to have descended from it.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: It's the most basic dragon among Digimon, and the larval stage for most higher-level draconic Digimon. Physically speaking, it combines a mostly Western frame and wings with decidedly Eastern antlers.
  • Spectacular Spinning: Combines this with Tail Slap in its "Tail Smash" attack.
  • Tail Slap: Combines this with Spectacular Spinning in its "Tail Smash" attack where it inflicts damage with its tail while spinning its body.
  • Wings Do Nothing: Its wings are underdeveloped.

Dracomon X (Dracomon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dracomonx.jpg
Debut: Digital Monster X

Its wings have developed further, allowing it to fly for short periods of time. However, the true purpose of its wings has changed to be for its attacking methods rather than flight. By having its wings be relocated to its arms, it is able to raise a wind in the direction it is facing, and is now capable of attacking enemies over a vast range by letting the flames that it spews out from its mouth (Baby Blaze) be carried by that wind. Also, in order to release the heat within its body, which has increased because of the X-Antibody, the horns on its head have taken on the function of radiating heat, and so they reach ultra-high temperatures. The power of its "Smash Horn", where it charges at the enemy with those ultra-high temperature horns, appears to greatly surpass that of the Child level.

  • Breath Weapon: Its "Baby Blaze" and "G Shurunen" attacks.
  • Dash Attack: Combines this with Horn Attack in its "Smash Horn" attack.
  • Flight: The X-Antibody developed it wings further, allowing it to fly for short periods of time. However this is not their true purpose.
  • Horn Attack: Combines this with Dash Attack in its "Smash Horn" attack.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ebiburgamon.jpg
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game - Booster Lotteria Ver.note

EbiBurgamon is a variant species of Burgamon, and has taken in the ingredient data of fresh shrimp. Its Special Moves are its "Fresh Shrimp" and "Hot Cutlet", which produce smells savory enough to stop the opponent in their tracks.

  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: It has a cap that looks like a hamburger bun.
  • Meaningful Name: Ebi 「蝦(エビ)」 means "shrimp" and Burga is derived from Burger 「バーガー Bāgā」 and is an overall reference to the Ebi Burger[1], a food product released exclusively at Lotteria restaurants.
  • Palette Swap: Of the Rookie Burgermon.

The Digimon with the greatest passion for art amongst everyone in the Digital World. Its body is made up of vibrant colored pencils, and it is always drawing pictures that it likes no matter the time and place.

An Ekakimon was captured by Tagiru Akashi.

Elecmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/elecmon_4.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 2

A Mammal Digimon that retained Tunomon's mammal-like elements and evolved. It's very curious and lively, and inherited its prank-loving personality from Tunomon. Also, Elecmon possesses nine tails, and during battle, it fans out its tail like the plumage of a peacock to intimidate its opponent.

According to the D-Power Version 3.0, Elecmon is the Rookie form of Juri Kato (Jeri Katou)'s Leomon.

  • Amazing Technicolor Wildlife: Even more so than other Rookie Digimon, and especially more so than other mammal-based ones, Elecmon is extremely brightly — even garishly — colored. Just like a peacock.
  • Cartoon Creature: It's meant to be mammalian (the long ears evoke rabbits) but doesn't really resemble any real-world animal.
  • Meaningful Name: Elec comes from electric (「エレキトリック」 Erekitorikku).
  • Shock and Awe: It's "Sparkling Thunder" and "Electric Knife" attacks, where it shoots a powerful bolt of lightning and sends a barrage of small blades of electricity at the foe.

Espimon

For tropes pertaining to this Digimon, see its entry in the page for the Crack Team.

Fake Agumon Expert (NiseAgumon Hakase)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/niseagumonhakase.png
Debut: Digimon Collectors

A genius Agumon that has a doctorate in Digital Monster studies from Digital World University. It is said that its title is plagiarized from Agumon Hakase. It is as not as knowledgeable about Digimon types and territories as Agumon Hakase, and instead it rather unscrupulously spreads lies, so caution is necessary. However, as only its feelings of rivalry for Agumon Hakase are genuine, it is diligent in not leaving any research ideas, to inconvenience Agumon Hakase. It is "Nise" from top to toe.

  • Authority in Name Only: It pretends to be an intellectual authority, but knows nothing of what it purports to be knowledgeable about. This is because its name contains Nise which is Japanese for Fake.
  • Dark Is Evil: It's a dark blue and black recolor of the orange and white Agumon Hakase, and is an evil and unscrupulous liar.
  • Palette Swap: A variant of Agumon Hakase that's blue instead of orange and with black robes instead of white.

Falcomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/falcomon.png
Debut: Digimon Accel Nature Genome
Attacks: Scratch Smash, Falco Rush

A bird Digimon that makes its home on tall mountains, usually 3,000 meters in height. Its wings have not fully developed, so it's only able to glide as opposed to proper flight. However, its powerful talons enable it to run across its mountain home at amazing speed. It has a fierce temperament, and carelessly approaching one will result in one angry falcon. Its special attacks include Scratch Smash, where it scratches with its wings, and Falco Rush, where it kicks with its talons.

This version of Falcomon is partnered to Minoru Hinata.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its "Scratch Smash" attack, where it scratches at the foe with its claws.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: All of its attacks are physical punches or kicks.
  • Bird People: As a combination of its owl-like upright stance and its arm-like, clawed wings, its design ends up being rather humanoid.
  • Noble Bird of Prey: It's a vaccine-attribute falcon.
  • Out of Focus: The original Falcomon gets very little time to shine compared to the 2006 version, with its v-pet debut being its only v-pet appearance, and it usually only appears as a collectable card or medal. This is finally averted in Digimon Survive, where it's a partner Digimon.
  • Toothy Bird: Its beak is lined with incongruous pointy teeth.
  • Wings Do Nothing: Its wings are underdeveloped so it cannot fly, but it can glide.

(Falcomon (2006 anime)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/falcomonblack.png
Debut: Digimon Data Squad: "I Will Protect Chika! Piyomon's Resolve"
Attacks: Shuririnken (Dub:Ninja Blade)

A subspecies of Falcomon that resembles an owl and, unlike its base form counterpart, has developed the ability to fly. While regular Falcomon is a brute-force type of bird, this Falcomon instead fights like a ninja with its special attacks: Ninja Blade, a rapid barrage of feather-crafter shuriken, and Firecracker Smokescreen, a barrage of bamboo-shaped bomblets thrown from the air. Despite its superior flight, it prefers to ride a kite into battle.

This version of Falcomon is known for being the partner of Ikuto Noguchi (Keenan Crier) and (possibly) Sho Kahara.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its "Scratch Smash" attack, where it scratches at the foe with its claws.
  • Bird People: More so than its original incarnation, this version of Falcomon is very clearly a humanoid bird.
  • Blow You Away: Its "Fuujin no Jutsu" note  attack.
  • Call a Rabbit a "Smeerp": The original Falcomon looks more like a falcon than the more distinctly owl-like 2006 design. This is likely intentional, as they're both birds of prey and owls are better known for their stealth, fitting in with the ninja inspiration.
  • Feather Flechettes: Its "Shuririnken" attack, where it throws a barrage of 4-point shuriken made out of hardened feathers.
  • Flight: This subspecies of Falcomon's wings have developed to allow it to fly freely in the air. Despite this, it prefers flying on kites ninja-style.
  • Kite Riding: Despite being a better flier than regular Falcomon.
  • Ninja This Falcomon's theme. It wears ninja attire and has several attacks styled as such.
  • Noble Bird of Prey: Much like the original Falcomon, it's a vaccine Digimon.
  • Ominous Owl: Only in the sense that its anime counterpart starts out as an antagonist, and it has a ninja theme; outside of that, the trope is very much downplayed.
  • Razor Wind: Its "Fuujin no Jutsu" attack, shoots blades of wind at the enemy.
  • Recurring Element: Serves this role on two fronts. Firstly, it's the resident bird Digimon of the Data Squad group like Piyomon and Hawkmon, and uses wind attacks similarly to Fairymon. Second, it's the Sixth Ranger Digimon belonging to a former antagonist, much like Wormmon or Löwemon.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: Its "Uchitake Otoshi" note  attack, where it drops explosive bamboo bombs on the enemy from above while it is riding its kite.

DotFalcomon

A special Falcomon that emerged from a keychain game. Although it is without a doubt a subspecies of Falcomon, its potential abilities are unknown.

  • Breath Weapon: Its "Rainbow Force" where it attacks the opponent with a prismatic energy ball. It shares this attack with DotAgumon.

Floramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/floramon.png
Debut: Pendulum 4.0 Wind Guardians

Although it evolved like a reptile, just like Palmon, it is categorized as an unusual Digimon of the Plant type. Its whole face has the appearance of a flower, and the petal-styled shell usually protects its head like a helmet. When intruders are not around or when it's in a good mood, the petals on its head and both of its arms open up wide. It sees Palmon as its rival, and has a very prideful personality.

Notable partners of Floramon include Saki Kimishima, as well as the French Chosen Child, Catherine Deneuve.

  • Green Thumb: Its "Sweet Scent" where it releases a fragrance that gets the attention and seduces everyone and "Allergy Shower" where it generates allergy-inducing pollen from the flowers on both of its arms. If they suffer this technique, even larger Digimon are unable to keep hold of their presence of mind, and completely lose their fighting spirit.
  • Meaningful Name: Flora 「フローラ Furōra」 means all the types of plants, both native and exotic, that grow in a particular area, derived from the Roman goddess of flowers, Flora. Ultimately from flōs meaning "flower; bloom".
  • Plant Person: A walking, roughly humanoid flower.
  • Pride: It's said to be very prideful.
  • The Rival: It sees Palmon as such.

FanBeemon (Funbeemon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/funbeemon.png
Debut: Pendulum X 3.0
Attacks: Gear Stinger, 88 Call

An Insect Digimon and carrier of the X-Antibody. FanBeemon belongs to the Royal Base, an airborne base that functions as a beehive. It's a cheerful, dedicated worker bee that gets along with Plant Digimon, unlike most Insects. Since the Royal Base is often under construction, it is tasked with bringing home data from flowers and vegetables to use as building materials, making it classified as a Virus. Its special attacks are Gear Stinger, where it rapid-fires barbed stingers from its abdomen, and 88 Call, where it contacts its allies by communicating with its antennae. Since most are wise enough to stay away from a swarm of FanBeemon, the nature of the Royal Base remains a mystery.

  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Due to being a bee. It can also shoot its stinger.
  • Meaningful Name: Fun Cheerful; merry, referring to its personality, the kana for which 「ファン」 is also a play on the Mandarin word for "yellow" (黄, Huáng). Bee Any hymenopterous insect of the superfamily Apoidea.「ファンビー」 itself is also a pun on the Mandarin word for "wasp" (黄蜂, Huángfēng; lit. "Yellow bee").
  • Out of Focus: Despite debuting alongside Dorumon and Ryudamon as an X-Antibody carrier, it's not as prominently featured alongside them and only makes the occarional appearance. As of late, its spot as the "Virus X-Carrier" has been taken by Loogamon, who bears the Prototype Digicore Interface while FanBeemon doesn't.
  • Spike Shooter: Its "Gear Stinger attack, rapidly fires tiny barbed stingers.
  • Summon Bigger Fish: Its "88 Call" attack, reddens the antennae on its head and summons a huge crowd of its comrades that guard the Royal Base, like the Ultimate level CannonBeemon.
  • Virtuous Bees: Funbeemon are described as cheerful and dedicated workers devoted to the furthering of their beehive, the Royal Base, even while belonging to the Virus attribute (note that they're considered Viruses because they consume data for the sake of the hive, not because they're inherently evil). When they evolve, they become fierce protectors of their hives.

Gabumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gabumon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 2

A Digimon with a single large horn. Even though it looks like a Beast Digimon due to its fur, it's actually wearing a pelt made from leftover data from its natural Champion stage, Garurumon, and is a Reptile Digimon underneath. In addition to protecting Gabumon from colder climates and providing added protection, it also makes the usually timid reptile a lot more outgoing and battle-ready. Most Gabumon are easy to befriend due to their strong loyalty to whoever they choose as their tamer. Its special attack is Blue Blaster, which is a bright blue burst of fire from its mouth.

Like Agumon, it is the template for future partner Digimon, usually for The Lancer but also a possible starting Digimon for many of the series' protagonists. Its most notable partners are Yamato (Matt) Ishida, Nokia Shiramine, and Akiharu Minase.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its, "Crush Nail", "Claw Attack" and "Upperclaw" attacks.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Petit Fire" and "Gabumon Shot" attacks, the former of which shoots blue-colored flame from its mouth and the latter of which emits a small blast from the mouth.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Petit Fire Hook" attack ignites its fist with "Petit Fire".
  • Elemental Weapon: It has a combo attack with Igamon in where it empowers Igamon's sword with its "Petit Fire" attack to unleash a fiery slash.
  • Foil: To Agumon, starting the trend of The Lancer of each anime series having a canine Digimon for a partner. Gabumon's yet to become wolf-like, however, and only dresses the part.
  • Horn Attack: Its "Little Horn", "Tsuno Kougeki" note , "Drill Horn", "Drill Horn Special" and "Skull Cracker" attacks.
  • Lovable Lizard: Gabumon is actually a reptile type that wears Garurumon's data as a coat.
  • Made of Iron: That fur coat is made of mithril. No wonder it keeps such a tight grip on it.
  • Meaningful Name: Gabu comes from the Gabu Kashira 「がぶ頭」, a puppet whose face instantly changes from that of a timid maiden to a horned fiend with the pull of a string.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Its "Hidden Knock" and "Machine Gun Jab" attacks.
  • Recurring Element: Despite being a reptilian Digimon, the virtue of Digivolving into the canid Garurumon and of covering itself with a canine pelt cements it as the Rookie form of the main wolf Digimon line of Adventure.
  • Shrinking Violet: Most Gabumon aren't as outgoing as the one in Adventure is, not that it's saying much. Still, they are rather shy individuals.
  • Spectacular Spinning: Its "Drill Horn", "Drill Horn Special" and "Blue Cyclone" attacks, The former two attacks, have Gabumon jumping into the air and attacking with its horn by spinning, with "Drill Horn Special" traveling a greater difference and the later have it spinning around while spitting out blue fire from its mouth.
  • Techni Color Fire: Its "Petit Fire" attack is blue.

Gabumon X (Gabumon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gabumonx.jpg

Although it was originally classified as a Reptile-type, it became a Beast-type itself after absorbing the fur pelt data of the Beast-types it loves so much. Its timid, bashful personality has not changed, but once it wears its fur pelt, it changes to favor rough fighting styles and launching quick attacks typical of a Beast-type.

  • Breath Weapon: It retains its "Petit Fire" attack from its base form.
  • Elemental Punch: It gets a new attack in this form called "Petit Fire Hook", in which it uses its Breath Weapon to envelop its right hand, and uses it to pound the enemy. As a result, it does not wear its precious fur pelt over its right hand.
  • Heroic Dog: It is a beast-type Digimon in this form and has a vaguely canine appearance.
  • Horn Attack: One of the only two abilities it retains from its default form is Little Horn.
  • Wolverine Claws: The claws of the Garurumon pelt have grown out, though it only uses the ones on its left side.

Gammamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gammamon.jpg
Attacks: Horn Attack, Break Claw

A recently discovered white Ceratopsian Digimon. Evolution into it is said to be linked to "extragalactic signals from deep space". Its two horns are useful for offense and defense, and it is capable of flying with the small wings on its back. It rarely shows emotions, but will gradually become attached to those who reach out to it.

Gammamon is the partner of Hiro Amanokawa and one of the newbie Tamers in Digimon Project 2021.

  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Wears a blue bandana.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: A Virus-Attribute Digimon, like Guilmon. Unlike Guilmon however, only GrusGammamon is a fellow Virus; BetelGammamon is Vaccine, while KausGammamon and WezenGammamon are Data.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Not very emotional, but will gradually become attached to those who reach out to it.
  • Flight: Able to fly for short periods of time.
  • Horn Attack: As part of its "Horn Attack" technique.
  • Meaningful Name: Gamma is the third letter of the Greek alphabet. Gamma can also refer to the red/green/blue colors used in crt displays (referencing its three main Adult stages), and a type of radiation given off by exploding stars (all of his evolutions are named after stars).
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: Its pretty much a baby triceratops. . . Except two of the spines on its back are actually retractable bat-like wings that allow it to slowly fly or hover.
  • Recurring Element: The main, dinosaur-like Digimon of Ghost Game. It's also a virus type like Guilmon, and part of a similar trio involving a Virus, Vaccine and Data-attribute Digimon.

Gaomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gaomon.png
Debut: Digivice iC 10X

A beast Digimon that's also a subspecies of Gazimon. Gaomon, unlike its crooked cousins, has grown more pointed claws as opposed to Gazimon's curved ones, and covers them with red boxing gloves until they're fully grown. It uses classic out-fighter boxing to keep its distance while laying into its opponent. Gaomon's special attacks include Rolling Upper, a sharp uppercut to the chest, Double Backhand, a tornado-like lariat attack, and Gao Rush, a series of high-speed punch attacks.

Notable users of Gaomon include Touma (Thomas) H. Norstein, Yu Inui, and Nikorai Yakovich Petorofu.

  • Heroic Dog: An akita inu that's partnered to one of the heroes.
  • Foil: It's the main wolf-like Rookie in Data Squad to Agumon 2006's dragon.
  • Martial Arts Head Band: It wears a red one to cover up the yellow cross-shaped mark on its forehead.
  • Meaningful Name: Gao (狗) is Teochew/Cantonese for 'dog' and Gao (「ガオ」) is the sound of roaring.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: It's a subspecies of Gazimon, which are normally jerkasses. Gaomon, however, is a lot less antagonistic.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Its "Gao Rush" attack, where it attacks with a rapid flurry of punches.
  • Recurring Element: Gaomon serves as Savers' canine-based Rookie level, whose later forms become more and more wolflike.
  • Red Boxing Gloves: Which serve to protect its claws.
  • Rolling Attack: Its "Rolling Upper" attack where it rolls into a ball, flings up in the air, and uppercuts the enemy.
  • Tornado Move: Its "Double Backhand" and "Wild Howling" attacks, the former of which has it spin around and turns into a living tornado, attacking with its fists and the latter of which is a howl that generates a tornado.

DotGaomon

Debut: Digimon Dot Puzzle

A special Gaomon that emerged from a keychain game. Although it is without a doubt a subspecies of Gaomon, its potential abilities are unknown.

Gaossmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gaossmon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Xros Wars: "Xros Rival!! The Blue Hound Kiriha!!"
Attacks: Kilo Flame, Head Strike

Only its competitiveness is intense, but generally speaking it is a tiny Digimon that is often barking. It is also quick to flee, and extremely swift. Although it is almost impossible to track after it runs into the bushes, you can easily find its location because it will soon begin to bark. Since it specialises in running on land, it is totally incapable of swimming, as it dreads water. In fact, it can't even cross a ten centimetre deep brook, and sometimes, you can run across a Gaossmon that has nearly drowned and passed out in a puddle of water.

Several Gaossmon serve as the foot soldiers of the Blue Flare army.

Gazimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gazimon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 5

A Mammal Digimon with large, sharp claws. It is bipedal, which is rare amongst Mammal types; the claws on its forelegs likely evolved to allow its forelegs to be used as arms, therefore resulting in its bipedalism. It has an extremely aggressive temperament despite its small size, and it never warms up to humans. Although the claws on its forelegs are very effective at attacking, they are also surprisingly suited to digging holes, which it always does as it enjoys watching other Digimon fall into its pitfalls due to its mischievous personality.

Notable users of Gazimon include Yu Nogi.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its "Gazimon Claw" where it attacks with the claws of its hands.
  • Breath Weapon: It's "Paralyze Breath" attack, where it breathes a paralyzing poison gas at the enemy, or paralyzes them with electricity.
  • Cartoon Creature: It has traits of rabbits, cats and dogs.
  • Jerkass: Yeah, not much has changed since they Digivolved from Pagumon. Gazimon is still a jerk and a bully first and foremost.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: It's implied that there are some digidestined out there who have Gazimon as partners.
  • Meaningful Name: Gazi is a Nihon-shiki romanization of 「がじ」, from gazigazi (「がじがじ~」), the sound of eating.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Paralyze Breath", paralyzes the opponent with electricity.
  • Trap Master: It enjoys trapping other Digimon with its "Pitfall" attack, where it either digs a pitfall as a trap for an opponent, or burrows into the ground to attack the enemy from below.
  • The Paralyzer: Its "Paralyze Breath" attack.

Gazimon X (X-Antibody)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gazimonx.jpg

It has started using fighting styles that capitalize on its bipedalism more, such as making itself look bigger and more intimidating to Digimon that are smaller than it, looming over them and attacking. Furthermore, it acquired its "Booby Pit", a cunning fighting style where it makes Digimon larger than itself fall into its specialty pitfalls, spewing out its "Paralyze Breath" after it sees how the situation develops, so its mischievous personality is a bit over the top.

Ghostmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ghostmon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Reference Book

A Ghost Digimon that is often sighted flying over graveyards. Although it doesn't like to show its face due to its timidness and shyness, it is a kind-hearted Digimon that helps those in need, unaware of its presence, by becoming transparent.

  • Playing with Fire: Its "Little Plasma" attack, which it uses when it absolutely must go into a fight, fires weak energy shots from its hands.
  • Wreathed in Flames: Looks like it's made out of fire.

Gizamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gizamon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 5

An Aquatic Mammal Digimon that grew fins on its hands and feet in order to paddle through water. It is more suited for life in the water than on land, and although it swims about quickly in the water with its fins and sturdy hind-legs, on the ground it moves about with weak, frog-like hops. When on land it has a very timid disposition, but when in the water it displays its natural, ferocious personality.

  • Making a Splash: The ironically-named "Water Cure" attack, shoots a jet of water at the foe.
  • Meaningful Name: Giza comes from gizagiza (「ギザギザ」), meaning jagged.
  • Rolling Attack: Its "Spiral Edge" attack, where it rolls into a ball and slices at the foe with the blades on its back. The attack is seen in action on one of its cards.

Gizumon (Gizmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/proto_gizmon_crusader.jpg
Debut: Digimon Data Squad: "The DATS Team is Annihilated?! The Clash with Mercurymon"]]

A Digimon with no sense of self that was artificially remodeled to execute missions as ordered. It, along with the rest of the Gizmon line, was created by Akihiro Kurata.

  • Artificial Human: ProtoGizmon is an artificially designed Digimon made specifically to perma-kill other Digimon.
  • Cyber Cyclops: Has a large yellow eye, alongside a smaller red eye.
  • Energy Weapon: Its "PT Laser" fires a small laser from its red eye.
  • Killed Off for Real: Any Digimon it kills will stay dead, since its attack deletes their data completely.
  • Meaningful Name: Its name is a combination of Proto, which is short for prototype and Giz short for Gizmo, a technological gadget.
  • Spectacular Spinning: Its "PT Helix" where it spins and tears the enemy to pieces.

Goblimon (Goburimon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/goblimon.png

A troublesome Digimon in the form of a small oni that loves evilness. With a nature that has no courage and a lot of slyness, it never acts alone, always clustering at bowers in the middle of the woods, a building to hide and attack from. However, once outnumbered they run away at full speed just like baby spiders dispersing. For the matter, only its intelligence is a little higher than other Child Digimon.

  • Barrier Warrior: Its "Living Shield" attack, uses magic to create a wall of protection.
  • Com Mons: Goblinmon frequently serve as early enemies in the Digimon World games.
  • Dash Attack: Its "Goburi Rush" attack, dashes forward to swipe at the foe with its club repeatedly.
  • Delinquent Hair: It sports a mohawk.
  • Dirty Coward: All of them.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Its "Iwa Tobashi" attack, summons a large boulder and throws it.
  • Fireballs: Its "Goburi Bomb" and "Goburi Strike" attacks, the former shoots a large, explosive fireball and the latter creates a ball of fire to hurl at the foe or hits them with its club.
  • Inconsistent Dub: An episode of Digimon Fusion called it "Goblinmon".
  • Japanese Ranguage: Its official translated name of Goburimon is a corruption of Goblimon.
  • Our Goblins Are Different: In this case, they're runty, green-skinned, ape-faced humanoids at the lower end of the enemy threat scale.

Gomamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gomamon.png
Debut: Pendulum 2.0 Deep Savers

A Marine Animal Digimon that can walk around on land, with fur that adjusts its body temperature to survive in warm or cold climates. This fur grows longer as Gomamon ages, and it's presumed that it turns brown when it matures. It's a mischievous Digimon that plays around with whatever it sees, but it's more out of playfulness than any ill intent. The red fur on its head and back tends to indicate how Gomamon is feeling, with an angry Gomamon's fur bristling with rage. Despite its usually jovial nature, it's wise not to underestimate it as it's a Combat-Species Digimon whose claws alone can break through solid ice. Its special move is Marching Fishes, where it calls upon a school of small fish for combat as well as general assistance.

Known for being the partner of Jou (Joe) Kido.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: "Surudoi Tsume" and "Sharp Edge" attacks, the former of which attacks the foe with a slice of its claw and the latter of which has it jump up and slices at the enemy repeatedly while in mid-air.
  • Constantly Curious: It "fiddles with everything it sees".
  • Deflector Shields: Its "Bubble Barrier" attack, encases itself in bubble of water that repels attacks and hurts foes.
  • Dub Name Change: Its Korean name is Swiramon.
  • Flying Seafood Special: Its signature attack is "Marching Fishes", where it summons a school of flying fish to attack its opponents.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: "Marching Fishes" is pathetic as an offensive option, but useful in other ways such as gathering information or providing marine transport. Depending on the continuity, Gomamon can also seemingly use the attack anywhere it wants, even when there's no water around it.
  • Magikarp Power: Small and curious, with its major technique being to summon lots of tiny, offensively useless fish. However, it's still decently strong by itself since it's a Combat-Species, and its potential grows as it Digivolves.
  • Making a Splash: Its "Water Current Ball", "Water Current Throw", "Giant Water Current" and "Giant Water Current Strike" attacks.
  • Meaningful Name: Its name is derived from gomafuazarashi 「胡麻斑海豹(ゴマフアザラシ)」 meaning "spotted seal" (Phoca largha). True to its name, it does have spots on its back.
  • The Prankster: It's described as being mischievous and naughty.
  • Spin Attack: Its "Tail Slap" attack where it kicks the foe while flipping.
  • Sweet Seal: A friendly and heroic pinniped Digimon.
  • Use Your Head: Its "Gomamon Head-Butt" attack, launches itself at the enemy head-first.

Gomamon X (Gomamon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gomamonx.jpg

Due to the fact that its lovable personality has grown even more, expressing its emotions more vividly with its distinctive red fur, it is getting many enthusiastic Gomamon fans. However, it is difficult to raise for enjoyment purposes, exhibits astonishing power despite its small body, has started moving quickly even on land, and as expected, it did not lose its abilities as a "Combat Species" Digimon. It very rarely acts alongside the enormous Daipenmon, and personally seems to think of Daipenmon as its follower. Although its seldom seen "Goma Milk Death" appears to be a technique that Gomamon specializes in, it is actually a powerful Special Move that Daipenmon unleashes.

Gotsumon (Gottsumon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gotsumon_7.png
Debut: Pendulum 1.0 Nature Spirits

Clad in the ore data from within a field, it is an Ore Digimon with powerful defensive ability. Due to its mischievious, cheerful personality, it brings low generation Digimon along with it as though it were a bully, and is a live wire who jumps about in the system. It is sometimes a bit selfish, and runs wild with violence like a volcanic eruption once it is angered, becoming uncontrollable. The ore data it expresses varies depending on the location and conditions of where it emerged, and it has the potential for various evolutions.

Notable users of Gotsumon include the Mexican Chosen Child Chichos (Rosa) and Keisuke Amasawa.

  • Dishing Out Dirt: Its "Angry Rock" attack shoots super-hard ore from the top of its head and its "Earth Shaker" attack slams the ground with its fists, causing pillars of rock to erupt.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Hardest Punch" attack.
  • Meaningful Name: Gottsu is derived from Gottsui, alternatively spelled as gotsui, both of which mean "rough; hard".
  • Rock Monster: A small humanoid made entirely of rough stones.

Gotsumon X Gottsumon (X-Antibody)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gottsumon_x.jpg

Its ability to clad itself in ore data within a field has enhanced, obtaining a bulkier body and more defensive power. Although the heavy blows it unleashes from its body have naturally powered up, its "Rage Rock", a reckless ramming attack while angered, has formidable destructive power despite being a Child.

  • Dishing Out Dirt: Its "Angry Rock" attack.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Hardest Punch" attack, where it punches at the foe with a glowing rock fist.
  • Ramming Always Works: Its "Rage Rock", a reckless ramming attack while angered, has formidable destructive power despite being a Child.
  • Stout Strength: Has become a lot bulkier thanks to the X-Antibody, and much harder to take down as a result.

Guilmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/guilmon.png

A Reptile Digimon similar in nature to Agumon. Despite its fierce appearance, it's a youthful Digimon with an innocent desposition. However, its abilities as a Combat Species Digimon are quite pronounced, and when engaged in battle, its personality changes to that of a feral beast. The mark on its chest is known as the Digital Hazard, which indicates the potential to cause mass destruction to the area around it. Despite this, it can choose to use this nature for good and evolve into a protector of the Digital World. Its special attacks are Rock Breaker, where it slashes with its claws, and Pyro Sphere, where it fires a powerful burst of flame.

It is notable as the partner of Takato Matsuda (Matsuki) and Kouta Hirose.

  • Beware the Nice Ones: It's usually quite docile and innocent outside of fighting. When it fights, however, it's absolutely terrifying to behold.
  • Blood Knight: It's a Combat Species, meaning it is especially ferocious in combat.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Fireball", "Kūchū Fireball" and "Guil Shot" attacks
  • Chest Insignia: The Digital Hazard, signifying the dangerous power it's got stashed inside it.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Guilmon is a Virus-attribute Digimon, more than likely due to how the species was created. Although the Digital Hazard symbol shows that if raised improperly it can bring about The End of the World as We Know It, most Guilmon shown are very kindhearted.
  • Expy: It's one of Agumon, mirroring its overall saurian/draconic appearance, its fire-based abilities, and its status as an anime main character's partner Digimon. In its starring role in Digimon Tamers, it's also one In-Universe as its tamer directly based it off of Agumon.
  • Fireballs: Its "Fireball" and "Kūchū Fireball" attacks, the latter of which is a "Fireball" used while airborne.
  • Flight: Its "White Wings" attack, causes it to sprout white wings and fly into the enemy.
  • Foil: The dragon to Renamon's canid.
  • Katanas Are Just Better.: Its "Kurenai-maru" where it attacks foes with an armor-slicing katana.
  • Meaningful Name: After two decades of fans debating the meaning behind it's name (Gill referring to its gill-like ears or Guilty were both strong contenders), the creator behind Digimon Tamers finally clarified during the anime's anniversary that it was indeed "Guilty" - referring to the Digital Hazard brand on its chest that makes other Digimon suspicious of it.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: It and its evolutionary line carry the potential of Digital Hazard which could destroy the Digital World.
  • Playing with Fire: Its "Fireball", "Kūchū Fireball" and "Fire Rock Breaker" attacks.
  • Recurring Element: The Guilmon line is the main draconic Digimon line of Tamers, as well as being an In-Universe expy of Agumon.
  • Red Is Heroic: If raised properly, it can suppress its Virus-type instincts. Otherwise, not so much.
  • Red Is Violent: As a result of its Virus attribute, this red dragon-dinosaur is a lot more ferocious and potentially dangerous compared to its template Agumon, who's colored a gentle orange.
  • Wolverine Claws: Its "Rock Breaker" is an attack with its sturdy claws that can smash even through rock, "Fire Rock Breaker" is a burning version of Rock Breaker, "Wild Scratch" is an attack where it descends on the adversary while frantically scratching with its claws. and "Surudoi Tsume" where it attacks with its sharp claws.

Guilmon X (Guilmon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/guilmonx_9.png

The engraved "Digital Hazard" mark has vanished. That is because it accepted and contained its power within its body. It still hasn't awakened to that power, but if it grows up the right way, it can be said that its qualities for maturing into a true guardian of the Digital World will have improved. Since its instincts as a Virus-species have also increased, its personality has become more aggressive.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its "Rock Breaker" where it takes advantage of its claws' sturdiness to smash its adversary to bits.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Fire Mitt" where it envelops its arms in its Special Move "Fireball" and beats the enemy.
  • Fireballs: Its "Fireball" shoots a red-hot fireball from the mouth.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: It has accepted its virus nature and become more aggressive as a result, but it's still capable of growing up to become a guardian of the Digital World.
  • Palette Swap: It looks more or less the same as its default form except that it no longer has the Digital Hazard.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Thanks to the X-Antibody, its Virus nature has become more pronounced, making it more aggressive.

Gumdramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gumdramon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time: "Us, the Digimon Hunters!"

A Digimon that possesses a flexible Shippodzuchi note  that can extend anywhere. Its body is also very soft and elastic, and it moves around dynamically using its whole body like a spring. It is also able to fly at its running speed by flapping its wings. Its personality is very mischievous, so it's a show-off. In order to attract attention, it dives right into the middle of any kind of dangerous situation and rages around, not stopping until it stands out from everyone. Its potential is concealing its considerable, unfathomable power, but is inhibited by the "Kinkoji" it wears on its tail.

Gumdramon is the main partner of Tagiru Akashi.

  • Attention Whore: Everything it does is to get more attention, and it won't stop until it gets it.
  • Flight: Capable of a very limited version of this.
  • Foreshadowing: The Kinkoji was placed on its tail by Sanzomon, who didn't exist when Gumdramon was revealed.
  • Healing Factor: Should the hammer on the end of its tail be amputated, it will quickly grow back.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: It's a tiny baby dragon.
  • Power Limiter: The Kinkoji on its tail.
  • Purple Is Powerful: It's purple, and hiding incredible power.
  • Recurring Element: It's the dragon of Young Hunters, but it lacks a canine counterpart or any for that matter. To be more specific, it has a lot in common with Veemon: both are partnered to the protagonists of two separate sequel series set after a Time Skip, have a cooler color scheme (blue for Veemon and purple for Gumdramon), and use physical attacks in their fighting style. They even have similarly-shaped heads with a marking on their foreheads, with Veemon having a V and Gumdramon having an X.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book, following the example of some of the games, made Gumdramon a Rookie. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Rubber Man: Its tail is quite elastic.

Hackmon (Huckmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hackmon.png
Debut: Digimon Collectors

A Small Dragon Digimon that shines a cool white. Its unfettered and restraint-hating, adventure-loving way of life is likely due to Gankoomon's DNA. It faces the rigorous trials imposed by Gankoomon with an air of composure. It has a masterful sense of combat due to its lineage, and because of its training with its chaperones, the Sistermon sisters, it can more than hold its own in battle against its opponents even if they're a Perfect. It specializes in close combat that capitalizes on its keenness, cutting the opponent to pieces with its sturdy claws, rotating its tail like a drill and thrusting it into the opponent, and spewing "Baby Flame" from its mouth, which is also usable as a diversion. It follows its dreams of becoming a Royal Knight like Gankoomon as it fights through continuous battles.

  • Badass Cape: A bright red one.
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: The official translation is "Huckmon", despite its name being derived from Hakku (not Hukku).
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Baby Flame" attack where it spews fire from its mouth, also usable as a diversion.
  • The Chosen One: While not as pronounced, Hackmon was acknowledged by Gankoomon by having the makings of being the prophesied Thirteenth Royal Knight. And fortunately, he was right.
  • Jumped at the Call: It has always dreamed of going on adventure and being like one of the Royal Knights, so it was quick to accept Gankoomon's offer to train him as they traveled across the Digital World to stop any unusual phenomena.
  • Killer Rabbit: Downplayed in that it can take on an Ultimate-Level, though whether it can win is another story.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: It's training to become a Royal Knight.
  • Meaningful Name: Its name is a romanization of hakku (「ハック」), derived from haku (「白」), meaning 'white'. Its official spelling is a corruption of this.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: It's a small dragon Digimon, with a few traces of a Cyborg.
  • Pun: It's "Fif Slash" and "Teen Ram" attacks are puns on 'fifteen', referring to Hackmon being the mascot Digimon for Digimon's 15th anniversary.
  • This Is a Drill: Its "Teen Ram" rotates its tail like a drill and thrusts it into the opponent.
  • The Unfettered: Right there in its profile.
  • Training from Hell: Is one the receiving end of some harsh assignments from Gankoomon, so that it can become a Royal Knight.
  • Wolverine Claws: Its "Fif Slash" cuts the opponent to pieces with its sturdy claws.

Hagurumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hagurumon.png

A mutant Machine Digimon shaped like a gear. There are countless gears built into its body, and the gears are constantly rotating. For that reason, if even a single gear is missing, all of the gears in its body stop rotating, and it becomes unable to maintain its vital functions. Hagurumon possesses the special ability to send a computer virus to its opponents in order to manipulate them at will, and that ability is exploited by fiendish Digimon. However, because Hagurumon itself doesn't have any sense of self, it doesn't even know it is being misused.

Notable users of Hagurumon include Aiba.

  • Clockwork Creature: A very simple one — it's made up of three interlocking gears with a face in the central one.
  • Jagged Mouth: Type 1 but without the animal-like nature.
  • Meaningful Name: Haguru comes from Haguruma 「歯車(ハグルマ)」 meaning gear.
  • Mind-Control Device: It's "Darkness Gear" attack where it shoots black cogs with a built-in computer virus from its face that can control Digimon they're embedded in.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Crash Device" where it either explodes or runs into the enemy to electrocute them.

Hagurumon X (X-Antibody)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hagurumon_x.jpg

"Kohagurumon" containing a more powerful computer virus have appeared. However, neither Hagurumon nor the Kohagurumon have any sense of self; the only connection they have is that they regularly rotate in tandem, and if that rotation becomes irregular, the Kohagurumon will fall off and run the risk of getting damaged. There are also gears that have changed to being drill-shaped, so you will get injured if you get close to them carelessly.

  • Mind-Control Device: Its Darkness Gear attack is the only move it retains from its default form. Its "KoHagurumon" attack where it rotates the KoHagurumon contains a more powerful computer virus.
  • This Is a Drill: Two of its gears have changed to become drill-shaped.

Hawkmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hawkmon.png

A Bird Digimon similar to Biyomon, with wings that it can use as arms. Unlike the chipper and curious Biyomon, Hawkmon is calm and polite, always keeping a cool head. Like Veemon, it's a descendant of special Digimon that roamed the Digital World in ancient times, and is capable of Armor Digivolution. Its special attacks are Pecking Beak, where it pecks its opponnet, and Beak Buzzsaw, where it throws the feather on top of its head like a boomerang.

However, it gets very attached to those it has warmed up to, and will show them its favorite treasures that it keeps stashed in its fur. It seems to have a habit of going on guard whenever it spots a Tailmon, due to having been bullied several times in the past.

Herissmon is the partner Digimon to the protagonist of Digimon ReArise.

  • Flechette Storm: Its "Lightning Fur" has it attack the opponent by shooting lightning-coated quills.

  • Rolling Attack: Its "Kenzan Dive" attack has it curl its body up into a ball and charge forth.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Lightning Fur" attack has it attack the opponent by shooting lightning-coated quills.
  • Single Specimen Species: Formerly. Within the lore of ReArise, Yggdrasil had said no other version of this Digimon existed across the multiverse. One eventually popping up in Digimon Ghost Game proved this to either not be the case, or have been retconned.

Hyokomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hyokomon.jpg

It often plays with its Monitamon friends, and during their free time, they will watch a comedy Digitalk show on Monitamon's screen and burst into laughter. Despite its laziness, the weapons it wields display great strength.

  • Berserk Button: If anyone tries to interrupt its' fun, Ignitemon will actually get off its butt.
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: The "neet" part of its Japanese name is corrupted from the word "ignite". It's likely supposed to be "Igunitemon".

A Small Devil Digimon that resembles a demonic child. • Playing with Fire: Its "Night of Fire" (Throws flames of darkness from its hand.), "Summon", "Dash Night of Fire", "Kuuchuu Night of Fire" (Shoots flames of darkness while jumping through the air.), "Pillar of Fire" (Uses Summon to create a wall of flames.), "Punch" (Punches at the enemy, creating a short-range fireball.), "Fire" and "Fire Shot" attacks.

It grew confident in its own strength after obtaining the X-Antibody, causing it to start acting aloof. The only things it has in common with a prior partner Digimon are with Renamon, being the feminine-looking Data attribute Digimon in a Virus/Vaccine/Data trio; even then, the comparisons are more downplayed than most examples so far. In fact, it has more in common with Tentomon and Gomamon; the former due to its electric attacks and being partnered to The Smart Guy, and the latter due to being based on an aquatic creature and being partnered to the resident Cowardly Lion.

  • Meaningful Name: Much like the In-Training Kodokugumon, it's derived from "Ko" meaning "small or child" and "Dokugu" meaning "poisonous spider".
  • Poisonous Person: Unlike the In-Training version of Kodokugumon, this one has an attack called "Poison Nail" where it scratches the foe with its poisonous claws.

Loogamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/loogamon.jpg
A Demon Beast Digimon that is, because of the outdated interface on its brow, presumed to be an experimental "prototype Digimon" from before Digimon were discovered. It is said that the data of the warg from real-world mythology is embedded within the deepest part of its Digicore, and exhibits behavior so violent that you would not expect it from a Child. At first glance, it looks like a puppy, but if one approaches it carelessly, they will suffer a severe counterattack. Lucemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lucemon.png

Said to have descended to the ancient Digital World long ago, it is an Angel Digimon which has the appearance of a child. It manifested in an era in which the Digital World was still chaotic, and it is said that it brought about order and harmony. However, a long period of darkness was summoned due to Lucemon's later "Rebellion". Although it has the appearance of a child, the power and intelligence it possesses surpass even that of a Perfect Digimon. It is said that Lucemon's abilities have now been inherited and split among the Three Great Angels.

  • Almighty Janitor: He's "just" a Rookie, but he can easily overpower Ultimate-levels and makes short work of even Megas like the Warrior Ten.
  • Creepy Child: A youthful winged child, who also happens to be a megalomaniacal tyrant.
  • Face of an Angel, Mind of a Demon: Quite literally — it looks exactly as you'd expect a benevolent angel to look like, but is a cruel tyrant who seeks to bend the Digital World to its will.
  • Facial Markings: On its left cheek, as well as on its left arm, part of its torso, and its left leg.
  • Fallen Hero: Brought order to the ancient Digital World and sealed away Huanglongmon, before turning against it and becomes one its greatest threats.

  • Meaningful Name: Named after Lucifer, as in the Devil himself. "Luce" is Italian for "light," its main element.
  • Our Angels Are Different: A child like angel with 12 wings, 8 of which are on its back, 2 of which are on its head and 2 of which are around it waist.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Capable of fighting some of the strongest Ultimate Digimon around. Even the Warrior Ten, some of whom were capable of breaking continents in half, couldn't beat him.
  • Satan: Its name is based on Lucifer, the name of Satan before he fell, so this is a given.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: The Warrior Ten managed to seal him in the Dark Area, at the cost of their lives.
  • The Trope without a Title: Before its debut, he was known as the Angel Digimon that descended in the distant past, according to Huanglongmon's profile.
  • Winged Humanoid: Lucemon has twelve of them. In comparison Seraphimon, one of his replacements, has ten wings meaning that even as a Rookie Lucemon is still stronger than a Mega.
