Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Ririka Moriya, Goddess of Pink Heroines (Nurse Angel)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image0_80.jpeg
  • Rank: Intermediate Goddess (bordering on Greater if she gets emotional enough)
  • Symbol: Her Nurse Cap
  • Theme Song "When In Love, It's So Easy To Be Hurt"
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: All-Loving Hero, Action Girl, Beware the Nice Ones, Plucky Girl, Stock Shoujo Heroine, Messianic Archetype, uses holy magic, wears a Scarf of Asskicking, has Emotional Powers, comes from a Magical Girl Genre Deconstruction
  • Domains: Nurses, Magic, Vaccines, Struggles
  • Heralds: Seiya Uzaki, Kanon, Dewey, her family
  • High Priest: Minky Momo
  • Followers: Atomic Betty
  • Allies: The Rest of the Magical Girl Sisterhood (but especially Madoka Kaname, the Hero Club, and Hibiki Tachibana), Chacha, Captain Planet, The Planeteers, Snow White, Samurai Jack
  • Enemies: Goyhan, Moebius, Joker, The Lich, Hexxus, Dr. Eggman
  • On her tenth birthday, Ririka Moriya was given a magical nurse cap that allowed her to transform into the magical warrior known as Nurse Angel. The Earth was under siege by a race of evil aliens known as Dark Joker, so Ririka was tasked with combatting them. As her fight continued, however, her life and battles became harder and harder, and her mentor Kanon was killed at one point, though he eventually came back to life. Even after defeating the leader of Dark Joker, Buros, her troubles grew worse and worse, and this culminated with a sacrifice on her eleventh birthday to purge the world of Dark Joker’s Black Vaccine. Ririka survived, amazingly enough, but was left abandoned with no indication anyone would remember her.
  • The Sisterhood was examining Uncontacted worlds one day when they saw Ririka lying, abandoned and alone, in a field of flowers. They sent Chacha and her friends to speak with Ririka, and she explained her plight before remembering that she had seen Chacha on her world once before. Chacha quickly informed Ririka that they would locate her closest friends and bring them to the Pantheon, and this was done, with her neighbor, Seiya, a reformed member of Dark Joker, Dewey, and the revived Kanon, being those who came with her.
    • From there, Ririka was formally inducted into the Sisterhood, learning that though her tale was dark indeed, it was not as dark as the tales of the Puella Magi and the Hero Club, leading to a bond between these factions of the Sisterhood. The Sisterhood also granted her an endless supply of Green Vaccine, allowing her to never run out of magic at any time.
    • There was also Snow White, a frequent aide of the Sisterhood, who was forced into a Deadly Game with other magical girls for her very survival and simply for the amusement of the people. Ririka felt utterly enraged that the powers of magic would be used for deathmatches and vowed to help her take down any more systems of magical girl killing games.
    • Ririka also become close friends with Hibiki Tachibana, who is just and kind and caring as her, but willing to fight if opponents will not be reasonable. Ririka often helps her on missions by firing at her opponents from afar and healing her if she takes one too many bumps or uses too much of her powers, and has been considering meeting the other Symphogears if possible.
  • Ririka is a kind and caring person who desires to help anyone she can, no matter the sacrifice. Due to this, when she encountered Samurai Jack, she, though at first scared by his appearance, quickly developed a bond with him due to his strong desire to help any kind person he encounters, regardless of if it costs him a chance to get back home. Thus, she often helps him during a fight when he deals with opponents he cannot defeat by his normal methods.
  • It’s worth noting that Ririka does not have any actual medical experience, with Nurse Angel merely being her transformed form. That being said, Ririka has often traveled to the House of Health and Diseases to use her powers to magically heal anyone currently ailing from diseases. She’s doing quite well at it, and some have noted her care to be quite enjoyable.
  • The cruelty of Dark Joker with it’s schemes caused Ririka to naturally despise the two ascended Pretty Cure villains, Gohyan and Joker, and thus she often helps fight off their Uzainas and Akanbes whenever they attack a part of the Pantheon. The two are none too pleased as well, as they both know that having another magical girl to fight makes their jobs even harder. Still, their subordinates don’t really care, and Kintolesky has personally admitted that he views Ririka as one of his favorite girls to fight.
    • Although Moebius does not work with the two aforementioned villains, Ririka notes that brainwashing all life is just as bad as trying to eliminate it, and often fights him as much as possible as well. She does know that half of the commanders of Labyrinth have reformed, which makes them much easier to combat, but his Nakewamekes are just as persistent as the many bizarre monsters she faced. When your first and most reasonable opponent was a suit of possessed armor, you know just how strange monsters can get.
  • Because of Dark Joker's Black Vaccine, which was essentially pollution of all things good, she has often combatted the Lich and Hexxus whenever they try to pollute the Pantheon with death and decay. It helps that the Green Vaccine she was given can restore damaged land, flora, and oceans. Because of this, she often tags along with the Planeteers on missions whenever damage gets too great and the Pantheon must be healed beyond what they or Captain Planet can do.
    • Similarly, Ririka takes great dislike towards Dr. Eggman due to him using animals to power his Badnik army, and has taken steps to ensure he never gets his hands on her pet dog Herb. She also doesn’t like that his end goal for Eggmanland would be building a world of pollution and machinery, and often goes into Eggmanland to destroy his robots. It doesn’t help that some of the alternate versions of Eggman he can contact directly cause pollution with their actions, with two of them directly wanting to wipe out all life on the planet.

Any deity who suffers from paranoia, either being evil and probably considering Diavolo a rival or being good and feels he goes too far with it? Does the fact he and Doppio are the same person or he is condemned to a Fate Worse than Death need to be spoiler tagged?

[up] General Heinz Bohm is a German Luftwaffe General who has had a number of run-ins with the Italian Mafia prior to and during the Italian Campaign of 1943, with various mobsters stealing shipments of weapons and weapon components from various dockyards and military bases. Interestingly, like Diavolo, he also makes efforts not to be seen or known throughout the game he appears in, and thanks to this comes really close to succeeding in his Evil Plan.

@ wootzits: One of the allies Samurai Jack made in the far future was the Scotsman, a large and loud Scottish swordsman with a machine gun leg (which got upgraded to a Gatling gun later in life).

Bayonetta is very much acquainted with Armed Legs, though it's not limited to just firearms. Handguns, swords, flamethrowers, claws, whips, bazookas, etc.

I think Tohru Honda’s profile as Goddess of Accidental Transformations needs a rework. It’s so weak.

Also, can the main 13 Sohma clan members ascend under the title of “Divine Family of the Eastern Zodiac”?

[up] Ai Astin is a from a world abandoned by God and as a result, no one is being born or dying when they should. Thus, it's up to Gravekeepers (of which she is half) to grant undead true death should they wish it. Death of the Endless is mentioned as one of her allies.

The Grim that Billy and Mandy are familiar with is here.

Done with these two. Two things:

  1. Ultimately decided that the Library isn’t quite in the Pantheon afterall.
  2. Tried writing something involving Kiritsugu Emiya and Roland. Anyone who knows the latter more is free to comment on that text. I tried.

Again, I'm done. If it's not a correction, I'm not adding it.

  • The Wings of the World are a group of 26 mega-corporations that govern the City. One of them, Lobotomy Corporation, was a company whose specialty was providing energy extracted from mysterious monsters and entities dubbed Abnormalities. Dubious to be sure, as with any Wing, but the story doesn’t end there. You see, the company’s origins began with one woman's dream: To cure the disease of the mind that exists within all of humanity that lived in the City. This dream belonged to Carmen and it was a noble one, but such a thing didn’t come with its share of death and tragedy. Despite this, the dream wasn’t dead. One person, Ayin, was still hellbent on fulfilling this goal to end. From instigating the Smoke War and founding Lobotomy Corp to illegally creating an AI that was based on Carmen named Angela and trapping himself and his colleagues in a hellish time loop, Ayin was determined to see through this goal even he himself had lost sight of it. By the end, it seemed that the fruits of their labor would be repaid, but Angela chose to hijack the Seed of Light for her own ends. Many tried to stop her but ultimately the light shone halfway while she used the rest to create the Library.
    • Enter Roland, a low-ranked Fixer who somehow found himself in the Library’s corridors. After nearly getting himself killed by Angela, she decided to repurpose him as a Patron Library to “receive” Guests who enter with the Red Invitation. The terms are simple: They are to fight for their lives to get the things they want. Win, and get the books they needed most and leave the place alive. Lose, and become a book yourself that gets offered to the next set of Guests. The Library started out receiving lowlifes and nobodies, but as their threat level increases so too does the reputation of the Guests they receive, and the resulting conflicts would contribute to shaking the City to its very core. Eventually, Roland would reveal his intentions of betraying Angela just as she was about to reach her goals, though after a brutal fight the two would decide to bury the hatchet with Angela deciding to complete the Seed of Light for real. Eventually, the Heads of the World sends their Agents after the Library and while they are fended off the Library is ultimately evicted into the Outskirts.
  • The two were nominated by Pantheon under the trope of Boss Rush due to being the center of the Floor Realizations. In place of the Abnormalities, however, Angela and Roland with the respective E.G.O.s are fought instead due to the Library forcing them into a violent meltdown. Fully realizing the potential of the floor is important enough, but the Abnormalities serve as Allegorical Characters to their respective traumas that vary depending on the floor, and their suppression is integral to finally moving past them. Angela and Roland soon took their place after stumbling on a mysterious door that led to the Pantheon. The two of them were surprised that awaited them was not the barren Outskirts, but a more lively-looking landscape. It was there that a group of strange people who looked completely out of place from one another appeared and explained the Pantheon’s deal and how they’re both gods now. The two were naturally skeptical, Roland had half a mind to ask if this was some cult rubbish, but the group left with them the knowledge that in the case of the Pantheon neither of them are bound to the Library. As they would find out for themselves, they certainly weren’t lying about that.
  • The Library was formed from the remains of Lobotomy Corporation’s main branch and is actually Angela’s E.G.O. While the invitations give the impression that the mysterious building hidden behind fog was a bastion of knowledge, city folk knew it as a death sentence to anyone who went inside. As it turns out, the Guests aren’t dead but merely suspended while their memories and knowledge become books, and it is by Angela’s deliberate will that this occurs rather than simply killing them. As a part of her decision to spread the Seed of Light, the Guests are to reawaken from their slumber. Since the Library’s expulsion, the place has since closed, but Angela has plans on reopening one day. When it does, it will be under a new system following her goals of redirecting her wrath against the Head while deciphering why they perpetuate such suffering in the first place. For now, the beckoning corridors remain closed off to anyone else.
    • Of course, The Library was something of a hot topic among the gods in the House of Knowledge. Wan Shi Tong, an ancient spirit who closed off his library due to his disdain surrounding his knowledge being used for war, was skeptical about the building. It deliberately offers its knowledge even to those with ill intent, though given the Library’s track record it is effectively a place to “die” (or in some cases, a place to dispose of others). The battles it holds were stepping stones for Angela to become human, and the building’s existence caused its fair share of strife outside its walls. Overall, Wan Shi Tong looks at the two with disdain.
    • Owing to the place’s connection to the Abnormalities, and the fact it was established on the remains of Lobotomy Corporation’s main branch and its Nest, the SCP Foundation has placed the building under observation, though the Librarians are otherwise free to go where they please due to the Court’s insistence. The protection part is due to other factions such as the Global Occult Coalition, who wish to the building demolished for the mess it caused the City, and the Chaos Insurgency, who desire the knowledge it potentially still has for their own exploitation. Neither Angela and Roland are fond of the two of them because of this.
    • Aside from the Chaos Insurgency, others also seek to acquire the books for their own uses. Marisa Kirisame wants some books under the belief they might be useful one day while Alice seeks to assimilate more knowledge in her pages and found the Library’s original methods similar to her own. Whether that succeeds or fails, the Book of Truth seeks to transcribe the Librarians, and potentially the rest of their world if she finds a way. The two see Marisa as a kleptomaniac while Alice is a genuine threat.
    • The existence of the Library caught the attention of Guy Montag and Captain Beatty, who hail from a world where, among other things, books were deemed dangerous and had to be put to the torch by firemen. In the Library’s case, the books were literally dangerous as they not only tempted others to go inside and meet their ends, they also served to empower the Librarians that await inside as they draw power from both Guests and Abnormalities alike. Montag was horrified that books could be used in such unbelievable ways, though he was informed that the Head Librarian there seeks to move away from the practice and concentrate their efforts towards oppressive, dystopian figures. While he can put support a motive like that, he still remains a bit mixed. Beatty, meanwhile, was furious and sought to use the past actions of the Library against them.
  • The two having free reign to go pretty much anywhere wasn’t the only surprise the Pantheon had in store. In addition to being able to draw from an Abnormality’s power anytime they pleased despite the status of the Library, they would also find out those some entities have already made themselves at home in the Pantheon a long time ago. They were concerned by their presence, but the Court of Gods clarified that while Abnormalities are liable to ascend as gods like them, the entities are to be contained and watched over by several deities. Even if they were to cause a ruckus, the Pantheon has some tough people in their ranks as well. For the most part, the two decided to leave the matter alone though Angela had requested that they shouldn’t get exploited like back in Lobotomy Corporation. She says this as someone partly sympathetic to the fact they were trapped in the main branch’s time loops as well, and the fact that their origins can be traced back to humanity whether they were spawned from their collective trauma or as former humans themselves.
    • Several Abnormalities seem to bear a resemblance between existing deities in the Pantheon. Given the state of the City and its people it should probably come as no surprise they’re far darker compared to their traditional counterparts. Of course, all of them are creeped by this knowledge though thankfully their Abnormality counterparts aren’t running around in the Pantheon.
  • However different their lives are, they’re more alike than not in the end. They’re both bitter individuals who sought revenge against the suffering they faced, and while the injustices against them are horrible they ultimately don’t have a good reason to carry out their respective acts of vengeance seeing as how the direct causes of their suffering are long gone (and in the case of Roland, already slain by his hands). Their journey to take revenge also actively caused more pain towards other people than actually alleviating their own. It also took a lot for the lessons to actually sink in. They share this connection with Sasuke Uchiha, who is very much infamous for the destructive path of revenge he went on that took many, many, many tries until he finally had that epiphany. Sasuke meanwhile can relate to the anger Roland felt when his wife and child perished from the Pianist and understands anger stemming from that cannot be easily let go, especially since Roland had no other living family member in his life by that point. Meanwhile, he was quite surprised by the literal millennium of pain Angela endured only to receive zero nothing from it.
  • Given the two’s current relationship with the Head, neither of them care for the other dystopian tyrants and their underlings. Angela has no problem expanding her wrath against the likes of Big Brother, O’Brien, and The Libertines. In the case of the latter, Angela finds that their depravity is the reason they do what they do “disappointing” as she expected something more than shameless fiends from the City’s Backstreets.
  • One of the most infamous Distortions the City has ever faced was a being known as The Pianist. Once a down-on-his-luck musician, his despair and subsequent Distortion in the Backstreets of District 9 killed around 80% of its population before being slain by Roland. Even after its music was silenced, it still cast an ugly shadow that affects the present as it not only has a following in the Musicians of Bremen recreating the song for personal gratification but also motivated helped motivate Argalia to perform his own dirge to enlighten the entire City and its people. Its music is also awfully reminiscent of an Abnormality, The Silent Orchestra, an ALEPH-class whose performance is nothing short of apocalyptic if left to its own devices. The two, mainly Roland, are naturally suspicious of any deity who utilizes music in a less than artful matter. While their use of music isn’t as destructive as the Pianist or Silent Orchestra, they’re still not too fond of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, the Dazzlings, the Music Meister, Courtney Gears, the Necrodancer, and the Golden Lute. While the Piper is scorned for being refused compensation, the rest are outright villains.
  • Angela only:
    • The former AI secretary of L Corp’s main branch and current director of the Library. She was intended to be like Carmen, a fully desperate move done by Ayin despite her very existence blatantly spitting in the face of the City’s laws and values, but she wasn’t like her. Consumed by his grief, Ayin couldn’t bear to look at Angela and simply handed the AI her “script”. Under the vain hope of being acknowledged if she did well, Angela readily accepted her tasks but soon comes to realize the grim reality of her occupation. In compliance with the “script”, Angela was forced to not only refuse to look out for the employees but also actively be callous and cruel to the Sephirah to invoke emotional meltdowns. And if she were to make any meaningful progress, she would have to follow it by the letter.
      • 10,127 years, 5 months, 17 hours, 28 minutes, and 48.521 seconds passed in the facility’s time-enclosed space while 10 years, 3 months, 4 hours, 45 minutes, and 12.852 seconds passed outside. And in that time while Ayin and the Sephirah were able to face some manner of closure by the end of it, Angela was left with no such catharsis as their end approaches. Her desire to live soon overtook her as she chose to hijack the Light for herself to live on and spite her creator. The conflict led to the creation of the Library and while initially at a loss on what to do Angela began to follow the Invitations suggested by the voice of Carmen, her original, to lure people to the Library so she may find the “one, complete book” that will let her become human and finally leave. As she continued on she began to have second thoughts about following through with her revenge and freedom which finally hit her after a vengeful Roland made an attempt on her life. Seeking to atone, she allowed the Tree of Light to properly flourish at the cost of her desires and it would be repaid by Roland not only forgiving and defending her but also saving her from fading away into the Light as well.
    • Angela’s decision to sacrifice her chance at freedom to properly make amends for what she has done when she came so far wasn’t an easy decision, but it was one that she alone made herself. Not Ayin and his script or Carmen’s suggestions and whim, it was her own choice. Thus, she was genuinely surprised to have this wish of hers granted upon ascending anyways. And in a place that wasn’t as terrible as the City, her freedom actually means something in the Pantheon. While it’s not her focus anymore, and she still cannot accomplish half the things she wanted to do as a human being, she still finds enjoyment in the Pantheon anyways. When she’s not managing the Library, she’s up for learning about the many other stories in the Pantheon.
    • Several comparisons can be drawn between herself and GLaDOS, most notably the both of them being cruel and callous administrative AIs who originated from former humans (though, the latter was a case of Brain Uploading). For the most part, Angela doesn’t mind GLaDOS, though she had to admit her continued tests involving Atlas and P-Body have her concerned. With that being said the two test robots don’t seem to mind their situation and better them going through GLaDOS’s trials than flesh-and-blood humans.
    • As an AI, she has many sophisticated functions that separate her from normal human beings. The most notable is her slowed perception of time and ability to remember anything but due to being put in L Corps’ time loop, this became more of a curse. While around 10,000 years passed inside, it felt more like a million years from her perspective. Part of the benefits of becoming human was to escape from this which she did, if only for a little while before giving it up. She’s also Made of Iron which also slowly faded away as the Library progressed, though this was exploited near the end. Lastly, she can decipher any speech so long as it takes the form of a language. This ability is redundant due to nearly everything being translated between gods, though its use has come up every now and then. She’s pretty proud of this one feature of hers.
    • Manipulation of the flow of time isn’t limited to a corporation’s technology in the Pantheon and that includes the looping of a specific point of time. Homura Akemi has willingly undergone such a "Groundhog Day" Loop to save Madoka Kaname while Subaru Natsuki has it as an ability that activates every time he dies. While they both retained their agency, unlike Angela, they still suffered through them, including the powerlessness of the people around them dying repeatedly. For that, they both have her sympathy, even accounting for all the things Homura did for Madoka’s sake. To quote a friend of hers:
Angela: “Desire knows no end and has no limitation. Once you had a taste of it, it comes in like an unstoppable wave.”
    • For a long time, Angela desired to become human. Pinocchio and Nano Shinonome, a puppet and Robot Girl respectively, also dreamed of becoming human themselves with Pinocchio eventually achieving it while Nano soon became content regarding her nature thanks to her friends. The two are rather uncomfortable at the lengths Angela went to achieve it though they admit it’s not without reason given the pain she endured, though she eventually dropped it to atone for everything.
      • Mary, a person who originated from a painting, was desperate to escape even if it meant ditching people in the Fabricated World or resorting to murder. Unlike Pinocchio and Nano, she doesn’t see anything wrong with what Angela did. In fact, Mary was actually saddened she was forced to give it all up though was glad that at the very least she’s free to roam the Pantheon. While not spending time in the Library and Roland isn’t with her Mary can be seen showing Angela around the Pantheon. While it may look like the Library Director is annoyed by her insistence at dragging her around Angela hasn’t outright refused the thoughtful gestures from Mary either. If anything, she genuinely appreciates it.
    • Ayin intended for Angela was intended to be a copy of Carmen (right down to the, to be part of his life once again while he continued striving for her goal, but he was unable to accept her. Ironically, she ended up resembling him by the end of it. In a place as far and wide as the Pantheon, it has its fair share of copies themselves AI or otherwise (neither of which is acceptable by the City’s laws). Of them, she managed to acquaint herself with Lea who had trouble with being a copy (which she wasn’t even aware of originally) before settling in as her own person. Conversations between them tend to be one-sided, though oddly Angela doesn’t mind it.
      • The same cannot be said for Sophie, a clone of the original White Witch who was betrayed by the very people she protected. Certainly, what the witch when through was horrific and unfair, but Angela cannot look past her current allegiance to the Germanian Empire. Thus, she bluntly refused when Sophie tried to appeal to the AI with the witch leaving and planning to seize the Library for their own use. Of course, if Sophie and her allies were to do that they would have to compete against the SCP Foundation, the GOC, and Chaos Insurgency, who already have an interest in the place. Thus, doing so now would be poking at a hornet’s nest.
    • Having endured a brutal time loop within Lobotomy Corporation, Angela has 10,000 years worth of perfect memories that Szilard Quates wishes to assimilate. He claims to do so in the name of science, but Angela is quick to call out his horseshit like everyone else. Setting aside the fact she is a machine, there is also the problem of getting close to the Head Librarian to assimilate her as she’s fully capable of defending herself. Even with his immortality, Angela has ways to off him that don’t involve physical means.
    • "To be responsible for my own decisions and deeds… That’s what being human is about, isn’t it? Even if the burden is heavy, I will bear it and move forward. It may be sorrowful now… yet I’ll find myself happier next time.”
  • Roland only:
    • On the surface, Roland looks to be your run-of-the-mill everyman, at least in the context of the City. Easygoing and pretty casual, even as a Fixer who’s used to dirty business and that entails such an occupation and as someone who lost his wife and unborn child to a collapsing house. As with everyone, however, there’s far more to people than that. He isn’t a washed-up nobody as he claimed, being a veteran of the Smoke War and a former Grade 1 Fixer of Charles’ Office. Left cold and cynical from his experiences in the Smoke War and what he saw, he one day met the love of his life: A Fixer named Angelica. While working together they eventually grew close and Roland opened up to her and later down the line they decided to tie the knot. They began to settle down to raise their kid for a while, but Roland was called away for another job by a friend. While he wasn’t there, however, tragedy struck in the manifestation of a Distortion known as The Pianist back home. Roland came back and slew it, but it had already killed Angelica and their unborn child. Enraged, Roland went on a bloody rampage across to City against anyone whom he suspected was behind the phenomenon that took everything from him. His antics got him demoted, but an opportunity presented itself when a Fixer known as the Purple Tear offered him a lead: The Library.
      • When the clues pointed to Angela being responsible he bided his time just so he can crush her dreams and kill her himself, even if it meant eventually facing old faces. He did, however, genuinely become friends with Angela during this time and was also left with hesitation at pursuing the road ahead of him. Faced with the lessons he learned during his meltdowns as well as Angela’s decision to forgive him and change of heart he reciprocated the gesture and finally put his anger behind him. He’d not only genuinely become her friend from that point forward, he’d also support her in atoning for actions and going against the Head.
    • One important clarification has to be made about Roland: Though he bears the signature gloves and once wore a black mask, he is not the Black Silence. His late wife, Angelica, was the Black Silence. Color Fixer or not, however, Roland was still a skilled Grade 1 who, while not the Operator of his Fixer Office, was considered the leader of the other Fixers there anyways. It can also be said he unofficially inherited the title after his wife’s death, though didn’t matter to Angela or anyone else by that point.
      • And speaking of, the mask he used to wear 24/7 wasn’t just any ordinary mask: It has perception-blocking properties that masked the user’s presence, and in a crowd the wearer would essentially disappear, blending in as a random passerby. In short, it makes the user anti-memetic. The use of the mask is actually where the misconception of him being the Black Silence came from. As Angelica was the actual Black Silence she was also the original user of the sound-muffling, Hyperspace Arsenal gloves before being inherited by Roland later. Before that, he only wielded his personal longsword called Durandal.
    • While he doesn’t work as a Fixer anymore, that didn’t stop him from meeting with other notable mercenaries living in the Pantheon. For example:
      • Several people have drawn comparisons between him and the Magus Killer, Kiritsugu Emiya. While an argument can be made, one has to stress the difference between their worldviews: A cynic who is ultimately an idealist versus a bitter nihilist. Both through hell and did some awful things and have a lot of blood on their hands as a result, though Kiritsugu did so for under The Needs of the Many while Roland did so because that’s how the City functioned and later in the name of blind vengeance for his wife and unborn child’s death. If the men met in the past somehow, they likely would have ended up in conflict. Not so much in Pantheon, though, thanks to Kiritsugu deciding to quit and becoming The Atoner on his final days and Roland chilling out and moving past his vengeance to help Angela atone and support her thereafter. As such, they’re not hostile to one another and are able to converse sometimes.
      • Roland also talks with Byleth Eisner, a renowned mercenary-turned-teacher at Gareg Mach Academy before being dragged in a war spanning a continent and its three nations. Like him, they’re for the most part stoic and this demeanor gradually crumbles (though this characteristic is mainly attributed to external means). Byleth also faced loss and even had to face their former students and colleagues no matter what choice they picked, though unlike Roland this was unavoidable. Byleth was shocked Roland put up with facing former colleagues and even his best friend, Olivier, in the name of personally taking revenge on Angela. His insistence on going down such a path reminded them of Dimitri, one of their students who was slowly consumed by his hate against Edelgard. Thankfully, Roland was able to back out before he completed it and let it consume him, and allowing Angela to atone meant the Guests would slowly come back.
    • Sometime during his time in the Library, he let Angela in on a surprise that he planned to reveal in the end. Following the Library’s expulsion into the Outskirts and Angela’s insistence at bringing it up, he sheepishly admitted he always wanted to write a book about the City and its people. The reason why he never completed it was that he didn’t have any confidence in his own skills and was embarrassed about someone like him sitting down and writing in the first place. Thanks to Angela and the other Patron Librarians’ assistance he managed to get it done (and as it turns out, it’s the art book for the game).
    • Some deities remark the similarities between him and Van. Both are orphans turned famed swordsmen dressed in black who are on a single-minded crusade to avenge their loved ones. However, with that being said Van has conflicted opinions surrounding Roland. This can be mainly attributed to the massacre he went on after slaying the direct perpetrator of his misery. To say nothing of him willingly participating in the Library’s killings just so and he alone could take revenge on Angela just as she was about to fulfill her goal. Having said that, since Roland lives in the City, not all of Roland’s victims were the shining definition of innocent either, even if they had nothing to do with his wife’s death. The same can be said of some of the Library’s booked Guests. And in the end, Roland’s time in the Library wasn’t without guilt and regret as he ultimately didn’t go through it in favor of allowing Angela to atone while fending off Argalia, and the Blue Reverb’s demeanor and goals of ending the City’s “loneliness” reminded Van of the person who killed his wife, the Claw. For now, Van’s content with keeping an eye on Roland’s future actions.
      • On his end, the former Fixer admits Van’s analysis is spot on and doesn’t find distrust unfair seeing as how he explicitly promised Angelica he wouldn’t blame and go on a rampage if anything happened. Roland was genuinely surprised that Van didn’t completely lose it since tragedy struck on the day of his wedding. On that Roland admits he’d rather not meet the Claw Van is familiar with since, sharing the name of the Head’s class of agents aside if he’s anything like the “Blue Sicko” he’d be better off not breathing the same air as him. Roland has had enough of that for one lifetime.
    • Though one wouldn’t know it, Roland is a pretty good cook and he, in his words, can cook quite a “kickass pajeon”. He can be found in the House of Food to hone his skills. He’s also quite glad the House has a Hall dedicated to Alcohol and every so often he goes there to get absolutely sloshed. Whether at Moe’s Tavern or Valhalla, it doesn’t matter to him. He tends to be around the likes of Barney Grumble, Captain Haddock, and Drinky Crow during his drunken stupors.
    • Thanks to his experience with the Pianist Distortion, Roland doesn’t have fond memories involving the instrument. Ironic considering that all of his themes incorporate pianos with his Floor Battle and Realization themes while in Gone Angels it takes center stage. That being said, he has nothing against musicians in general and he is in no position to tell pianists like Kousei Arima and Kaede Akamatsu to stop. For their part, they find Roland’s situation horrifically tragic and are shocked that music can become something so destructive in his world.
      • He also tends to avoid the House of Musicality whether he can considering his family’s lives were lost in the Backstreets of District 9, the so-called streets of music. Again, he has nothing personal against many of its denizens (provided they don’t start something first or use music for ill purposes) it just brings up some bitter memories. The one time Roland did he ended up having to bail someone out since that person mistook the Mad Piano for an ordinary one. One swift bop to the cover with a Wheels Industry Greatsword and the piano’s would-be victim was able to escape. The piano doesn’t like him because of that.
    • Once Roland heard about a deity named Astolfo who had long ascended before Angela and himself and had thought about confronting an old friend again. Likewise, Astolfo heard a god named Roland and was looking forward to doing the same. Upon meeting face to face the two immediately realized their confusion and after some conversing for a bit the two decided to part ways.
    • "I'm thinking of following my good pal along the path taken as she pleases. Making sure to take a good and long look at the things around me this time."
Angela: ...Alright. Shall we write a book together this time Roland?
Roland: It would be my honor, Miss Director.
Angela: Wrong, try again. You should by now that's not the way to address me, don't you?
Roland: Sounds good to me, Angela.

All my fault, you say...? What fault? I daresay it's all thanks to me.

So I was sort of thinking of doing something in regards to the Pantheon, and there is one profile I want to test out reworking.

  • The Reaper for Stalked by the Bell: The Reaper is a recurring Bonus Boss in the Persona series, first appearing in Persona 3 as a way to keep the player from staying in one floor of Tartarus for too long, as it would spawn after you have spend long enough in a particular floor. And as the Bonus Boss of the game, everyone who reacts to it if engaged reacts really badly to it appearing. While it has made other gameplay appearances, it does resume the same role in Persona 5 pro prevent the player from exploring Mementos' floors too long.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!

Venus, remove Lady Death from Death's followers, since she's already ascended.

Ha ha ha. What a story, Mark.
