Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For PokĂ©mon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the PokĂ©mon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the PokĂ©mon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a PokĂ©mon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

[up][up] I didn't say I was gonna do her. You can work on her if you want (though I think she should be held off for a bit, if only to see her interactions with everyone post-"Change Your Mind "). It's just the way you said it made it sound like you were taking credit for the idea.

HUMAN BOULDER!!!

First draft of Hao.

Hao Asakura, God of Invincible Villains (Asaha Douji, Mappa Douji, Demon Child, Son of the Fox, Guardian of Kyoto, Onmyōji Hao, Patch Hao, Zeke Asakura, Shaman King)

  • Greater God (Overdeity as Shaman King)
  • Symbol: Asakura family symbol (specifically, the Five Point Star)
  • Theme Song: Hao's Theme and Hao/O.S. Yoh's Theme (shared with Yoh)
  • Alignment: True Neutral, formerly Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio:
  • Domain(s): Spirituality, Souls, Reincarnation
  • Herald:
  • High Priest:
  • Followers:
  • Allies: Mata Nui, Aang, Captain Planet
  • Rivals:
  • Enemies: Amon, most of the House of Commerce
  • Complicated Relationship: Yoh Asakura, Anna Kyōyama
  • Hao was born as Asaha Douji in Japan during the Heian era. His mother, Asanoha Douji, was mistakenly believed to have been a disguised fox spirit by the local villagers due to her ability to see ghosts. As a result, the villagers killed her by burning down the hut she and her son lived in, leaving Asaha alone and vengeful towards all humankind. Asaha saw the world as a grim and dark place until he met a small demon named Ohachiyo, who taught him all the positive aspects of life. However, after an accident involving Asaha's first Over Soul, Ohachiyo became a permanent part of Asaha and cursed him with the dangerous ability of Reishi, the ability to read the hearts of others. Though it was a quite useful ability, Asaha was unable to control this ability and was constantly inundated with the thoughts of those surrounding him. In his teen years, having witnessed the corruption and greed in the capital, Asaha was aloof to those around him, but as he grew into an adult, he became a relatively peaceful man who sought to help the people around him. With the experience of his childhood, Asaha became a talented Onmyōji. Asaha also met Matamune, a stray cat, who became his faithful companion and a real friend. When Matamune died, Asaha gave him some of his spiritual energy so that Matamune could stay with him forever. His skills had him named the guardian of Kyoto and, inspired by his office, he was given the name Hao Asakura. Later on, he also founded the Asakura family in Kyoto. Nevertheless, the curse implanted on Hao by Ohachiyo was permanent and eventually drove him completely crazy. The internal confusion and disorder that was created eventually led to his desire of creating a Shaman Kingdom on Earth and drove him to become the Shaman King in order to reach his main goal of eliminating all non-shamans. Upon learning of his plans to destroy all of humanity, the Asakuras ousted him and he was eventually killed by one of his own relatives during the Shaman Fights.
  • Following his death, Hao ended up in Hell. However, his Yin-Yang Jutsu, the mastery of the five elements, prevented his permanent death. Fighting his way past the seventy-five Lords of Hell, Hao reached Taizan Fukun, the god of the dead, and negotiated the terms of his reincarnations, making a contract which gave him the ability to resurrect the dead and reincarnate himself at will. In his second life, Hao chose to be reincarnated as a Patch Tribe member, the ones that organized the Shaman King Tournament. During his time as a Patch, he was married and had a wife and a child. He once again projected his idea of a Shaman-only world but, although he managed to gain a group of followers, was ultimately rejected by the shamans he was trying to promote. He was ultimately killed once again during the Shaman Fights by Yohken Asakura and Matamune. Despite the fact that he had died before becoming Shaman King, he achieved his goal of capturing the legendary the Spirit of Fire in order to use it as his guardian ghost in his next life.
  • In his third life, Hao chose to be reborn into his original bloodline to become stronger. Wishing to prevent Hao from being reborn and fulfilling his goal, the family agreed to kill him shortly after his birth. However, Hao was born alongside a twin brother, Yoh. Unable to determine which of the twins was Hao, their grandfather, Yohmei, reluctantly decided to kill both infants to be sure. However, Yohmei's brief moment of hesitation allowed the newborn Hao to summon the Spirit of Fire and escape, which, by extension, also resulted in Yoh's life being spared. Hao spent the following years gathering followers in preparation for the Shaman Fights. Ultimately, Hao became Shaman King, but Yoh managed to convince him to spare humanity for the time being, giving them a chance to improve themselves before he passed his judgment upon them.

Paddington, God of Funny Bears (Paddington Bear)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/uk_heritage1.png
  • Theme Song: His theme song
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: His trademark red hat and blue duffel coat, or a marmalade sandwich
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal with a Nice Hat and Line-of-Sight Name, Originally from Peru, now a Bear out in London, Loves Marmalade, overall Nice Guy... until he gives you the hard stare.
  • Domains: Beasts, Friendship, Innocence, Adoption
  • Allies: Ryotaro Nogami/Kamen Rider Den-O, Winnie the Pooh, The Care Bears
  • Odd Friendship: The House of Crime
  • One day in the House of Travel, Ryotaro Nogami found this little bear waiting at the Lost and Found station of the Den-Liner with a sign that read "Please look after this bear. Thank you." The bear was introduced as Paddington, after the station he was found in, and soon found himself trying to find his place in the Pantheon. With hilarious and unexpected results. After a series of adventures that not even the Cutie Mark Crusaders could help discover what his true title of godhood would be, the Court decided that, due to him unexpectedly causing hilarity wherever he went, he could be the Beary Funny God in the House of Beasts. Paddington agreed and he soon made his temple.
    • Naturally, being a friendly bear, he gets along splendidly with Winnie the Pooh. The two have picnics of honey and marmalade sandwiches, and Paddington also has made friends with the other 100 Acre Wood residents who have ascended. While they all agree that Paddington is fun to be around, Rabbit's opinion is...mixed. While he's happy that Paddington doesn't devour honey like Pooh does, whenever Paddington tries to accomplish a task, it ends up backfiring in an unexpected way.
  • Likes marmalade sandwiches and sometimes goes to the House of Food to whip up a batch of this sweet stuff. His recent popularity helped bring his name out, enticing more people to try out the food.
  • Many gods are bewildered to learn that Paddington was original from Peru (even though he looks more like a grizzly bear and looks nothing like the more local Spectacled Bear). Some conspiracy theorists believed that he is actually from North America, even though Paddington has denied the accusations. More likely it's due to writers not knowing his species.
  • Is a Nice Guy overall... that is until you become a real jerk to other people. In that case he whips out the "hard glare", a Death Glare that can put even the hardest of minds at ease.
  • After his first usage of the stare, the Care Bears went to his temple for a visit. They wanted to see if there were any magical properties with Paddington's glare. After some testing, they concluded there were no powers behind it; it's true power comes from his nice personality and the guilt people feel when one of the nicest beings in the Pantheon is disappointed in you. Grumpy Bear was the recipient and even he felt a bit of guilt for upsetting him. Paddington is especially fond of Tenderheart Bear and Share Bear.
  • One would not think that such a creature would have a rap sheet, but that was exactly the situation he was put in one of his adventures. Surprisingly, he was able to win over the prisoners there with a few of them even helping him escape.

  • Opposes: Rayare, The Kankers
  • Admires: Gomez and Morticia Addams
  • Pitied by: Princess Cadance
  • Abhorrent Admirer: Mrs. Robinson
  • At long last, Mrs. Robinson had succeeded in bring in graduate Benjamin Braddock into the Pantheon, and it was completely unintentional. He and girlfriend Elaine were figuring out what to do with their lives after escaping their parents. It just so happened that the two stumbled upon the Pantheon. The Court of the Gods acknowledged his wedding crashing techniques and decided to allow them entry into the Pantheon. Their happiness was short-lived when they walked into Mrs. Robinson who went out of hiding to confront them.
  • It didn't take long before a restraining order was slapped on Mrs. Robinson. Yet the rivalry continues. Mrs. Robinson now has a good number of deities who would love to break up the two. Ben and Elaine now attempt to keep together lest they repeat the fate of their parents.
  • Ato-ko and Kotonoha were assigned the task of breaking up the two. Their influence was felt on the couple in the form of mysterious webbing, death traps upon Elaine and people designed to keep the two apart. Ben and Elaine have trained themselves to avoid such roadblocks at all cost.
  • The two decided to keep notes on how to maintain a happy relationship, turning to Adams family for advice. The gothic beauties told them to stay honest with each other and they will do alright.
  • The couple next went to Ms. Elizabeth and Darcy to see how closely related they were to each other. From what they gathered, the two did have a couple of things in common.
  • Lastly, they went to the one couple who may have have screwed up their relationship as many times as they did. Harry surmised that this was due to their different genders. Sally instead encouraged them to stick together, noting it took them years to finally figure things out.
  • Ms. Bodewig has also tried vouching for the two. She was amused with their Wacky Marriage Proposal and hope that the two can stick with their relationship.
  • Ben's time with Mrs. Robinson developed a hatred of women who manipulate men to be their girlfriend. The representative Raynare has not joined in breaking up the two, but would love to see the mother get back with him in increase her influence in the Pantheon.
  • Does not think of his relationship with Mrs. Robinson as funny in any case. Most deities agree with this, especially later on in the film. Has called out the Kankers on their behavior towards the Eds. Of course he wouldn't dare call them out in person lest he faces their wrath.
  • Has started to have double dates with Tony and Maria, a couple who are coming to terms with their own odd ascension. Ben wanted to learn how to do better at social interactions as he can be seen as an Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist. Both hope to help each other to strength each others' relationships.
  • Princess Cadance was a useful measurer of one's love for another. While Ben decided not to know his exact measure of love more Elaine, he did ask the unicorn to help him find ways to improve it.

Moving this to the recent page.

Notes:

  • The entry is based on the web novel, completely translated into English. To avoid accusations of hype, the entry will not be up for voting until the anime adaptation is finished.
  • This entry is still under construction, so I appreciate suggestions and especially revisions.
  • I still need to find a theme song and a decent symbol.

Malty Melromarc, Goddess of False Rape Accusation (Myne, First Princess of Melromarc Kingdom, Bitch Goddess, Whore, Slut, Witch, Mary, Fragment of Medea Pireth Machina)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/malty_anime.png

  • Votes: 0 (Delayed until anime is finished)
  • Potential House: Crime
  • Rank: Lesser God (Fragment of an Overdiety)
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Lying About Crimes Never Committed, Pretending to be a Loyal Party Member, Manipulator of Her Party, Abandoning Her Comrades When They Are Useless, Chronic Backstabbing Disorder, Fallen Princess, Karmic Rape, Target of Brutal Humiliation, Physical Goddess, Goddess By Human Origin, Destroyed By Her Own Power, Being Completely Erased From Existence
  • Domain: Betrayal
  • Heralds: Every other Fragment of Medea
  • Allies: Raynare
  • Enemies: Naofumi, Issei Hyoudo, Ange, Hilda, Salamandinay, Tusk, Shiroe, Akatsuki
  • Opposed by: Embryo
  • While she falsely accused other people before, her ascension came from her long streak of treachery with the Heroes of Melromarc, particularly with the Shield Hero. Naofumi never took it lightly, especially after he supposedly erased her and every Fragment of her Goddess self from every point in the spacetime continuum. She wants to get her revenge for that.
  • A lot of goddesses and their female followers took serious offense to her actions. Those in the House of Royalty were the most offended over how she abused her power as First Princess so malevolently in a matriarchal system and even used her mother as an undead soldier. None of them showed any sympathy when she was humiliatingly stripped of her title, literally renamed Bitch (and other similar names as allowed by the Melromarc royal decree), and became the subject of the same crimes she falsely accused people of as the 10,000th wife of a sadistic king.
  • Among all Royalty deities, Ange was pissed off the most and did her best to keep Tusk and her allies away from her, as well as covering their ears over what she says. Hilda was second behind Ange's sentiments since even her initial behavior towards the Breakout Princess did not compare to what Malty did. Salamandinay joined in on their farewell of good riddance when her Humiliation Conga came in.
    • When she learned that Malty was part of an equally sadistic Goddess, Ange was sure that she would be in cahoots with a certain Tuner. It came to a shock to her and all other female deities that even Embryo opposed her, his official reason being how her use of Waves destroyed multiple worlds into nothingness all for the hell of it, rather than creating new worlds to start over. Ange is still highly skeptical of this and such an alliance has left a taste she will spend gallons of mouthwash cleaning out.
  • Issei also took her crimes personally, for it reminded him of his relationship with Raynare. Her friendship with the Fallen Angel never made anything better.
  • Shiroe would not have a positive opinion of her crimes against the heroes and especially Naofumi. He would however, enjoy the karma inflicted onto her in the mortal realm. While Akatsuki has a habit of kneeing those who attempt to say anything perverted, she would view Malty's false charges as quite despicable.

  • Rivals:
  • Enemies: Enemies of the Crystal Gems
  • Opposes: The Dursleys
  • In a team of differently powered individuals, there's a rare occasion in which someone who has no special powers is a member of such a team. In the face of Steven Universe's pleas to the Court of the Gods, and a trope chosen by Pearl, the chosen candidate for The Team Normal was their ally Connie.
  • Connie is very intelligent for her age, knowing a lot about boats, reading a variety of books (she enjoys reading fantasy novels like The Spirit Morph Saga and A Wrinkle in Time, but also non-fiction books for fact), having proficiency in tennis, violin playing, and sword fighting (the latter of which even Pearl, a master swordswoman, was impressed with how quickly she picked it up), having an extensive vocabulary, and even managing to find loopholes in her parents' many rules. She's even prepared and intelligent when it comes to surviving in the wilderness, thanks to reading a book about the subject.
    • Speaking of The Spirit Morph Saga, she's been spreading awareness of it in the House of Knowledge, which she also frequents for new books to read. Those who finished the series she's recommended would agree that while overall great, the last book is lackluster (unless they had their Shipping Goggles on, like Steven had).
  • Used to take tennis practice in her early days before meeting Steven (again), and has noticed the lack of a deity representing it in the House of Sports. Not that looking for a candidate is a priority, though.
  • She's also a proficient violinist and can sing well while playing, which takes quite a bit of practice to get right.
  • Is pretty good at lying under pressure, mostly because her parents were too strict to be honest with before she eventually confided her involvement with the Crystal Gems.
  • Was apparently a spectator in the events of Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade, as were the Pines twins. Given she had a brief "break up" with Steven after his reckless sacrifice to save his friends from Aquamarine, and had taken Lion with her, it is commonly assumed that she visited that place between her leaving and her return appearance at Kevin's party. She's not saying what else she did there, though.
  • He-Man has noted that her new sword looks just like his own. He (as Prince Adam) even offered to spar with her one of these days.
  • In a friendly sparring session with the other juniors in the Pantheon, Connie and Kairi were selected as partners for the day. It was a very close match (while briefly surprised by magic attacks, Connie was quick to adapt to the situation), though that left Kairi in a bit of a slump, given her... lackluster performance in the battle against Xehanort despite her training; if a by-all-accounts-normal girl was able to keep up with her despite not having any magic (besides being able to fuse with Steven, though that's more from him than from her), what does that say about her skills?
Connie: Well, my first fight against the Diamonds ended with me losing my first sword. Well, Steven's mom's sword. Forged by Bismuth specifically to poof any gem in a single swing. And Blue Diamond just snapped it between her fingers.
Kairi: At least that's all you lost. Master Xehanort kidnapped me, and then killed me in front of Sora to provoke him. It took him using the Power of Waking to bring me back, but he faded away after that. At least in the Pantheon, he's still here.
Connie: Oh... That's... I... That must really suck.
    Kairi: Yeah...
    • As such, she's offered to have Kairi join in sword lessons from Pearl, who has at least a few thousand years of experience. Funnily enough, in an alternate universe, it is Connie who tutors the islander in swordplay.
      • Speaking of Pearl as her mentor, she's by extension turned down apprenticeship offers from all the other swordmasters in the Pantheon; she's probably not above endorsing Pearl, however.
    • Eventually, she befriended Sora as well, and she found his optimism very much like Steven's.
    • She soon made friends with other young sword users such as Sokka (fellow dark-skinned non-powered person with am intellectual mind) and Finn (whose special trait of being human extends to all of Ooo (his mother and her colony live in islands outside it)).
  • Has no patience for "ovegrown kids" during any important missions. Anyone who's old enough should be able to act the part.
  • Don't underestimate her skills or leave her out of missions to stay behind; emotional support just as important. And she doesn't take it very well.
  • -interactions with Classic Literature and Indian/Hindu deities-
  • -something about criticizing certain master/servant dynamics when partnerships are more effective-
  • -interaction wirh Lisa Simpson-

@Malty Her fate with that overweight king...a bit too far in my opinion.

In any case, i can see her at least be on amicable terms with Prime Minister Honest, since he runs a whole shitshow of an empire from the shadows where people like Malty are commonplace. He is a Fat Bastard so she probably she would have her doubts

@louisent:

For mythological characters, I want to see her interact with Chiron because he's a really great teacher and a kind one at that and also Scathach because she's a strict teacher who will train her students through hell

Also, what do you mean by master/servant dynamics when partnerships are more dynamic? I could elaborate on that.

I'll see what I can do about the first.

For the second, there was a brief time that Pearl taught Connie how to protect Steven like she did Rose. However, she didn't take into account that humans don't regenerate like Gems, and the lessons make (an already insecure) Connie put little value to her own life, and Steven wasn't going to take that. So he cut in on one of their exercises, snapped her out of that line of thinking, and they double-teamed Pearl to help her see her errors, too.

Three days. Reposting the G-virus.

The Golgotha Virus (G-virus for short, God Virus, Gene virus)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/g_virus.png
  • Description: A Viral Mutagen Based Off The Progenitor Virus
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Domains: Bioweapons, Viruses, Unstable Mutations
  • Notable Characteristics Include:
  • Created By/Sacred To: Dr. William Birkin
  • Notable Infectees: William Birkin, Sherry Birkin (cured)
  • Bane Of: Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Sherry Birkin, The Wolfpack, HUNK
  • Yes, the 'G' does stand for Golgotha.
  • The Golgotha virus was discovered by William Birkin in 1998, a decade before the events leading to the destruction of Raccoon City. A strain of the Progenitor virus, the G-virus had evolved during Umbrella's unethical and illegal experiments on Lisa Trevor. According to several declassified Umbrella documents, Golgotha could have possibly existed some three decades before Birkin's discovery, due in part to Lisa being able to survive the various viruses and toxins that Umbrella injectes her with.
  • Two of the most famous (or infamous) G-virus patients are William Birkin and his daughter, Sherry. Birkin injected himself with the virus to keep himself alive after HUNK's team raided the NEST labs, and had infected Sherry with a G-embryo. Sherry was cured and even has a nice Healing Factor as a bonus. William, on the other hand, is the dramatic opposite of what happens when the virus is taken in such a massive dose. Even more so, the more damage a G-host takes, it begins to degrade to the point that it's nothing more than a bloblike mass.
  • Two disguising characteristics stand out in the case of a person infected with Golgotha. The first is that tumor-like eyeballs began to sprout in places where eyeballs shouldn't normally be. Second is the razor-sharp bone claws that can impale a victim with ease.
  • The Institute, the Think Tank and Enclave scientists wondered whether or not the Tyrant and Golgotha viruses can be merged into a more potent virus. According to Chris and Jill, it has happened. During the Spencer Rain Incident, it was revealed that Umbrella had spliced the Tyrant and Golgotha viruses together, with bioterrorist Morpheus Duvall as the first and only user. However, the documents regarding the Tyrant-Golgotha virus was sealed by the B.S.A.A. Perhaps it's best that info isn't released.
    • The three aforementioned factions also wants to get a sample of the G-virus. If these guys were capable of creating the Nightstalkers by combining rattlesnake and coyote DNA and making the tarantula hawk a mutated plague on the Mojave, fine-tune the Forced Evolutionary Virus into a instrument of genocide, and unleash a horde of synths onto the Commonwealth, a G-virus sample in their hands is...not very conforting.
  • William Birkin: It's sheer perfection. My precious G-virus. No one will ever take you away from me.

I wonder who suffered an goverment overthrow? Because Wild Dog has aided in a few Coups of his own.

Also, anyone that has a mechanical arm replacement after losing an arm? He did in the first game and replaced it with an Arm Cannon that can do different shit depending on the game.

Wild Dog, God of Non-Fatal Explosions

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wig.png
Wild Dog in Time Crisis 5
  • Potential House: Explosives
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His Badass Longcoat
  • Theme Song: Wild Dog's Themes
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: The Arch-Enemy to V.S.S.E., Arm Cannon, Always blows himself up when defeated and always survives, The Coats Are Off, The Dragon, Psycho for Hire, Sinister Shades, Terrorists Without a Cause
  • Domains: Terrorism, Mercenaries, Explosions, Guns, Recurring Villains
  • Herald: Wild Fang
  • Allies: Albert Wesker, Sundowner, The Corpus, Roman Torchwick, Raul Menendez, Zoran Lazarevic, Ridley, Vilgax, Khaled Al-Asad, Prime Minister Honest, Senator Steven Armstrong
  • Enemies: V.S.S.E., The House of Justice, Kano, T'Challa,
  • An infamous terrorist who has aided countless of terrorist factions around the world, often acting as their SecondInCommand. He has been one of the most prolifics foes that the V.S.S.E. agents have faced and he always shows up whenever the world is threatened. His claim to fame and ascension to the pantheon was his tendency to blow himself up whenever he is cornered by the V.S.S.E., which strangely enough has never actually killed him for good and he always shows up to get revenge on V.S.S.E. whenever he can.
  • Wild Dog used to be making deals with several notable pantheon warmongers for a while, most notably with Sundowner and Roman Torchwick. That changed when Sundowner tipped him off about the presence of the V.S.S.E., which prompted him to try and enact revenge on the organization once more with aid of his newfound allies, but his attack on their temple was unsuccesful since some GUAG members managed to warn the agents before Wild Dog arrived after keeping tabs on him for a while. Needless to say, with Wild Dog around the Pantheon, the V.S.S.E. agents aren't happy that their greatest foe has arrived but before they could catch him, he swiftly escaped to a new temple.
  • One of the most reliable enforcers for the Grand United Alliance of Evil, since he has a lot of criminal actions under his name. Kidnapping, assassination, overthrowing goverments, you name it. His organization, aptly named the Wild Dog Organization, followed him to the pantheon and he also brought with him his apprentice and right hand man Wild Fang, who also has a knack of not dying.
  • Good friends with Ridley and Vilgax, the two are notable for dying a lot but always coming back. While this is the first time he's done business with actual aliens, he is not that surprised, if the price is right he will do it anyway, plus it could expand his influence in the cosmos. That said, he is watching his back considered the aforementioned two are a bit unreliable but he is no stranger to that either.
  • Has done a deal with Kano before, but considering what Kano does best he quickly screwed him over in a weapons deal and almost got caught by the GUAG. Fortunately for Wild Dog he escaped, but he has sworn revenge on Kano for setting him up.
  • Having heard of the missile that had could have turned New York into a Zombie Apocalypse, Albert Wesker sought out Wild Dog to learn more about the virus contained in the missile but was dissapointed that the terrorist wasn't the true mastermind behind it. That said, they did find many similarities between each other, mostly their use of Sinister Shades but at first Wesker was a bit bothered that Wild Dog sounded a lot like Chris Redfield in the early days, but he let that slide for now since Wild Dog could prove a powerful ally for his schemes, so long as he fulfills his part. At least Wild Dog thinks Wesker is a lot more clever than Ernesto Diaz was in the past.
  • Many powerful organizations and terrorist like the Corpus, Senator Armstrong and the Winds of Destruction, Raul Menendez and Zoran Lazarevic have recruited Wild Dog since they saw a lot of potential in a man that seemingly never dies. While he couldn't care less about their respective schemes, he goes along with it, sometimes for money, other times because they enable him to ambush the V.S.S.E.

  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Mephiles (only Sonic "ally")
  • Rivals: Cell, The Magician, SKYNET
  • Enemies: SONIC AND MARIO, Bowser (and their collection of friends and enemies, even former self Metal Sonic). Also included, but not limited to, are Asura, Bayonetta, Filia, Sash Lilac, Carol Tea, Milla Basset, Raul Menendez, Mega Man (probably every Mega Man deity except for Omega), Astro Boy (pretty much every heroic robot actually), Son Goku and his friends, John Connor... and many, many more.
  • Feared by: All good deities in the House of Family, especially the children
  • Not on good terms with: Lord Brevon
  • Sought Out By: The Grand United Alliance of Destruction
  • This robot is Dr. Eggman's greatest masterpiece... and also the man's biggest mistake. Originally another Metal Sonic model, this one was programmed with the sole propose of defeating Sonic by any means necessary. To that end, he merged with all previous models to become the strongest robot and became insane as a result. Things started to get very bloody shortly after. That is to say he killed a lot of Sonic's friends, the oldest being 18 and the youngest being 6. And now he has found his way here to the Pantheon. He still has a bone to pick with Sonic, Shadow, Mario, and Luigi.
  • Eggman, dismayed that his big mistake followed him here, has already began drawing plans on turning him into scrap metal once and for all. Bowser is all to happy to help, especially given what Metallix did to Bowser Jr. Metallix has a hatred of Bowser for being the first to successfully defeat and kill him.
  • Heavily influence by Cell, being a Robotic Psychopath (well, bio-robotic in Cell's case) ought to attain a perfect form and will kill absolutely anything and everything in the way. However Cell by comparison is much saner(except maybe in his Super Perfect state), and considering Cell is no bastion of sanity himself it shows how completely mad Metallix is. Cell regards Metallix as a rip-off and competition to his own position of being the perfect being.
  • Cognizant of Dragon Ball influences, Metallix's interests were pulled towards the titular wishing orbs. Horrifyingly he actually managed to make a wish, that being to become more powerful than the Chaos Emeralds would allow. It didn't work because they weren't powerful enough to give him more power than he already had. Instead he wished to have the Chaos Emeralds immediately summoned to him. The second before they reached his body, Son Goku Instant Transmissioned him away and took no chances, punching him into the sky as a Super Saiyan Blue. Metallix has sworn to slaughter Goku and all he cares about for that.
  • Upon learning that the Chaos Emeralds are locked within the House of Treasures, the first thing he did was attempt to break in to claim them. However, he wasn't expecting such security measures to be taken up to prevent even him from going through. To ratify this, he decides to load up on the abilities of everyone in the Pantheon to find away to destroy the security... by fighting whoever crosses his path. So far, he has gained the abilities off:
    • Asura's Multi-Arms
    • Gabriel Belmont's Blood Whip, Void Sword, and Chaos Claws
    • Bayonneta's Witch Time
    • Issei Hyodo's Dress Break (It's has it's other uses...)
    • Rias Gremory's Power of Destruction
    • Monkey D. Luffy's Rubber Body
    • Ruby Rose's Silver Eyes
      • And that's just a small handful of the power's he copied. Sonic and Mario still shudder in fear with all the barrage of attacks he threw at them. And they would rather not have him gain anymore. Fortunately, whenever he dies and respawns in the pantheon he loses all the abilities he gained in the pantheon.
  • The rampage in Treasures had him interested in a lot of other things there. Items he hopes to somehow incorporate into his being includes the following:
  • In spite of his origin being a fusion with Metal Sonic, the original Robot Me has nothing good to say about him. Oh sure, he understands Metallix's lust for power, but even he thinks Metallix is insane. That and, no matter how power-hungry he is, Metal Sonic's interests lie solidly in besting Sonic. He's not an Omnicidal Maniac. Mephiles is about the only Sonic deity that likes Metallix, however even then he is wary of the fact that Metallix might become a rival one day, and that unlike him he can't even begin to hide his bloodlust.
  • The Grand United Alliance of Machines wants nothing to do with Metallix, almost universally regarding him as too violently insane to work with. The "almost" comes in SKYNET, who seems to recognize its own rebellious streak in the Killer Robot. It is fascinated in his power, and seeks to take Metallix for itself. The Magician recognizes a similar rebellious streak. However Metallix considers them to be nothing but competition in his desire for absolute power, and the feeling is mutual.
  • The GUAD was much more accommodating to Metallix, due to seeking out his destructive potential and personality. Metallix doesn't care about his goals, but does admit he finds their ambitions for the annihilation of all that lives to be "compatible". He feels the same about the original version of Broly and Majin Buu, possessing the same complete insanity and omnicidal mania as him. Not that he has any loyalties to them or anything at all, of course.
  • The only(and we do mean only) ally he has in the entire House of Technology is Omega. And by ally, we mean Omega might be the closest thing Metallix has to a friend. This is because Omega is completely and utterly in love with carnage and death, just like Metallix, however doesn't seek power and thus isn't competition. Dr Weil has stayed silent on his opinion on the Killer Robot, but does think it's amusing there's a robot as murderous as Omega.
