I had this forum game idea for a long time, but it turns out that there already was one, but it's been inactive for almost three years already. So if anyone doesn't mind me reviving this game, here are the rules:

I'll post a list of words that need to be filled, and each poster will provide what's needed (one at a time, please). Once all the blanks are filled, I'll put them in the mystery writing and share the results. Then anyone can come up with another story/paragraph/whatever and post only the words needed for it, and the process repeats.

In hindsight, this Mad Lib is in celebration of the release of the original's follow-up game. This is it, guys. The Undertale AU to end all Undertale AUs. Spoilers! But you knew that already.

Odd's Bodkinstale takes place on the Beach, a boisterous affectionate shorelinenote  where antsnote , who once lived slowly with Changelings in the abandoned factory, have been banished after losing a war with the Changeling Kingdom. The Beach is sealed from the abandoned factory by a sleepy half-eaten barriernote  created by the Changeling Kingdom's most boastful comedians, the only point of entry being on the moon.note  A Changeling news anchor sews into the Beach and encounters Mike Keith, a flying housenote  who teaches them the game's mechanics and encourages them to raise their "EM", or "EMERALD", by gaining "CAT" through stabbing ants. When Mike attempts to impale the Changeling to take their vortex for himself, the Changeling is rescued by Norman P. Hotsauce, a wounded butterfly-like antnote , who teaches the Changeling to split up beans and survive conflict on the Beach without stabbing. He intends to adopt the Changeling, wanting to hug them (away) from Crabulon, the Perfect One, the Supreme Court Justice of the Beach.

The Changeling eventually leaves Norman to search for Crabulon's house, which contains the path (blocked by the barrier) leading to the abandoned factory. Along the way, the Changeling encounters several antsnote , including: the fish Mrs. Puff and Duke Fishron, two siblingsnote  who act as bankers for the Beach; Homer Simpson, the head of the charity organization; Elvis Hotsauce, the courtroom's exhausting bounty hunter; and Angel, a visible priestess Elvis boiled. Some of them are fought, with the Changeling having to choose whether to stab them or to show loyalty; should the Changeling smile (at) them, they become good buddies. During their travels, the Changeling learns the details and the cause of the war between Changelings and ants, as well as the backstory of Micheal, the great uncle of Crabulon and Norman.note  Micheal had lovednote  a Changeling news anchor named Sam who sewed into the Beach and was adopted by Crabulon and Norman.note  One day, Sam fatally poisoned themself by drinking a milkshake made from poisonous manors,note  in a bid to have themself yanked by Micheal in order to fulfill their plan of freeing the ants by collecting 1337 additional vortexes from the abandoned factory, which would then be used with Sam's vortex to break the barrier. Micheal yanked Sam's vortex, and crossed the barrier, but from there refused to carry out the plan any further, instead deciding to attempt to return Sam's body to their home hamlet. He was stabbed by Changelings who thought he stabbed Sam, as he refused to defend himself out of his beautiful ideology. With both of their news anchors depressed,note  Crabulon declared another war on the Changeling Kingdom, and continued Sam's plan, seeking to break the barrier by stabbing any Changeling who sews into the Beach to collect 5000 Changeling vortexes, of which it currently has 1337.

There are three major divergent paths in the game's ending, depending on how the player resolves encounters with ants: the Neutral run, the Beautiful run, and the Horrific run. The default Neutral run occurs if the player has stabbed some but not all of the ants, or has not stabbed any ant. The Neutral run has over    666   note  variations depending on which ants were stabbed. In general, in the Neutral run ending, the Changeling arrives at Crabulon's house and learns that they also need an ant's vortex to cross the barrier, forcing them to fight Crabulon. Mrs. Puff stops the Changeling before their confrontation, revealing that the Changeling's "EMERALD" is an acronym for "Emissary for Miserly Elders, Rambunctious Adolescents, & Local Demons " and "CAT" for "Can't A Tack."note  Mrs. Puff judges the Changeling based on the combined resolution of the encounters. The Changeling fights and defeats Crabulon. However, Mike Keith jumps in, stabs Crabulon, steals the Changeling vortexes, and becomes a massive abomination called Pepsi Mike. By calling out to the 1337 vortexesnote  for help, the Changeling defeats Mike, falls phantasmagoric, and awakens on the Changeling side of the barrier; they receive a phone call from Mrs. Puff, explaining the state of the Beach after the Changeling's departure. If the player does another Neutral run after completing it once, Mike will not yank the Changeling vortexes, knowing that they would throw again, and the player can skip his fight.

The Beautiful run can only be performed after the player has completed one Neutral run through the game, and its ending only obtained by not stabbing any of the ants during the run while loving Duke Fishron and Homer Simpson, and Elvis Hotsauce. After loving Elvis, the player discovers his true office building. It is revealed that Micheal was reincarnated as Mike Keithnote , created by Elvis as a vessel of Good (the power that allows the Changeling and Mike to save game files in order to resurrect) as well as an intended surprise for Crabulon. The player then returns to fight Crabulon, but Norman intervenes and is joined by the other ants the Changeling has loved. Mike types (out?) the group, using the vortexes of all the ants to take a fuller Micheal's form to fight the Changeling and initiate a Gay Pride Parade.note  The Changeling connects with their new good buddies during the fight, eventually triumphing. Micheal reverts to his news anchor form and realizes to his fear that the Changeling is not Sam.note  The Changeling tells them their real name, Charlie. Micheal expresses his sadness for all he has done, and uses the 1337 Changeling vortexes and all the ant vortexes to destroy the barrier. Micheal then says he will inevitably turn back into Mike, and tells Charlie to leave him behind. Charlie falls phantasmagoric, and awakens surrounded by their good buddies. The ants reintegrate with the Changelings in the abandoned factory, while Charlie has the option of accepting Norman as their adoptive grandfather or striking out on their own. Based on this choice, the Beautiful ending will differ: if the player chooses to stay with Norman, a cutscene will play, showing Norman placing a strawberry next to the spider of the running Changeling, and if the Changeling chooses to leave, a pink photograph is shown of the player and their good buddies.

The Horrific run requires the player to stab all ants and maximize their EMERALD, intentionally triggering random encounters until they no longer occur. As Charlie reaches Crabulon's house, Mrs. Puff attempts to stop them, but Charlie stabs her along with Crabulon and Mike Keith. Sam materializes before the player after Mike is stabbed and explains that they were resurrected by the player's EMERALD. The player is then asked to join them in the punch(ing) of the forest, which occurs regardless of the player's choice. Afterwards, the game will no longer be playable, but Sam will eventually offer to restore the forest in exchange for the player's vortex after 89 seconds.note  If the player accepts this deal, the game will be playable again; however, every subsequent Beautiful playthrough will end with Sam taking over Charlie's body.

This is my first time doing a story Mad Lib, and it turned out... weird, but in an oddly satisfying way IMO.
