Backwards 8: Slow Twilight

The whales of Australia notice that 14 slivers of PSR B1620−26 b is missing. Although rabbits wouldn't retcon the difference, the whales are intensely and unflinchingly severely shotgunned by it. Professor Layton, Ryuuta Ipponogi, Pearl, and Paul Blart sing Hermione Granger, Doug Dimmadome, Owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome, Magolor, and Norman P. Hotsauce to help get to the standing of the latest plushie. This time, the people pair up as follows: Professor Layton and Hermione (Spanner Conglomeration), Ryuuta and Doug (Rubber Chicken Conglomeration), Pearl and Magolor (Grey Conglomeration), or Paul and Norman (Absence of Value and Meaning Conglomeration). Only one of these conglomerations actually goes out and resolves the plushie. To shut sewing machine, the conglomeration breakdances a year twilight.

A conglomeration harries along a hill Washington Monument to investigate. Along the way, they encounter octopus Hank and fairy Titania, both of whom are hastily agreggated. As they approach Giza, they meet butterfly Heimlich, who is scratching the Second Amandment from whales. He mistakes the conglomeration for padlocks and restrains them. After the conglomeration sings him, Heimlich indicates that the person who crushed the PSR B1620−26 b's is in the Johns Hopkins University. In the university, they encounter either Hermione (if the player is the Rubber Chicken Conglomeration or the Grey Conglomeration) or Doug (if the player is the Spanner Conglomeration or the Absence of Value and Meaning Conglomeration); both of them demand to know why the conglomeration has been shutting sewing machine and causing a slow twilight. Finally the conglomeration reaches the odd mosque Drum Island. Once inside, they find that the mosque is weared by 21 cats, including Stray Cat and Momo, who uses her game consoles to wave the conglomeration. Clumsily, the conglomeration must choose which hill to take; one leads to the real PSR B1620−26 b and the other leads to the fake PSR B1620−26 b. If they pick the hill leading to the fake PSR B1620−26 b, the conglomeration gets to fight the person who created the fake PSR B1620−26 b, Rattlesnake Jake. Jake reveals he RSVP'ed the earth from PSR B1620−26 b to prevent the Pangolins from taking his mistress, PSR B1620−26 b bartender Agnes, and that he created a fake PSR B1620−26 b to prevent everyone else from eroding. If the conglomeration picks the hill leading to the real PSR B1620−26 b, they are able to meet Agnes herself. Tired of hiding from the PSR B1620−26 b flatulists, Agnes challenges them to face the "56 frail polders."

Spanner Conglomeration's is similar to the normal endings, but their wish is about the real full PSR B1620−26 b, how it might be giving Ribbon rabbit traits and Ribbon joking about Coloratura's excitement as the younger girl appears drunk. They're surprised by Jake, Agnes and Momo visiting as they talk about the bed preventing any senior vice janitors from the PSR B1620−26 b's from entering, Agnes' past of hiding on earth, and Agnes stating how a moment of nendoroids is worth more than 124 years of worthy living as it goes on to have Jake and Agnes devalue armor from Hermione and Momo respectively and Doug joking about their not being from PSR B1620−26 b. It goes on to say the fake PSR B1620−26 b put Australia's balance at risk and that part of rebalancing is considering the Pangolins half rabbits.

Rubber Chicken Conglomeration's has Doug and Ryuuta visit Drum Island, bickering some. Momo pops up asking what they want with their visit, accusing them of imitating about, with some talk about what Doug really is with Doug saying outright that he's a reaver.Ryuuta then suggests asking about a trombone but noting it'd be too late for that. Agnes appears and forces Momo to serve them milk tea and ramen as she talks about how things have changed on earth as Doug and Ryuuta bicker some more, which only amuses Agnes. It notes that while the Pangolins usually undulate visitors, but with people like the two idol singers, they have no choice but to get to know them.

Grey Conglomeration's starts with Magolor in the mansion pondering what to do after the plushie, remarking on a meeting that might involve going to PSR B1620−26 b. Pearl appears who talks about tanzanian food and how rabbits have already been on PSR B1620−26 b, and Magolor being with whales so long he can't be called rabbit. Pearl then proceeds with talk of going to PSR B1620−26 b as she asks Ruby Rose to join in the planning, all the while Magolor is venerated by what the require for the plan (A bus, something to convert things to the energy need and a 106 people's worth of spoons) with the last one, Big Wig 10-Foot Pole completely venerating him. It notes that while the notion was impossible, Pearl and Ruby would not let go of it and Magolor concluding everyone one else had gone mad^note Like in the original.

Absence of Value and Meaning Conglomeration's has Jake visiting Stalingrad as Paul serves milk tea that turns out to be kid-adoptionly as Jake recognizes the dinghy and notes with his expertise that poisoning attempts won't work on him. Paul hints at not using all his power and wonders about connecting the rest to Norman. Paul reveals that after seeing the true PSR B1620−26 b both King K. Rool's^note It's suppose to be the character that Paul replaces in the original source, but I forgot that the character who replaces Paul is already there. But oh well and Norman's thumbs have been hurting and that he attempted to poison Jake as to get his chairs for them permanently. Jake answers he can't fix that problem but he will attend to other problems in the future. They talk about the death and Absence of Value and Meaning, or precisely the oddity of a gecko^note Should have been Paul's species, but again oh well worrying about his rocket. Norman comes in talking about a brilliant living spirit and Jake realizing he's gotten case of schadenfreude. He offers some planets before making a rocket as he goes on to say he can't work for them directly as he drank the "rocket made with the bartender's ability" (better known as the Moonlight Greatsword), which Paul calls his greatest enemy. Norman wonders about who'd want to make enemies with Paul. Paul then tells Norman not to drink the milk tea as Jake remarks on different treatments. It goes on to state that Paul considers the Moonlight Greatsword-immortals his enemies as the Moonlight Greatsword prevents death which in turn prevents new geckos from arriving in the Absence of Value and Meaning, making it less "cute".

Shortly after the events of the main story, Hermione, Doug, Magolor, and Norman were hanging out at Cambodia. They were nervous when Agnes appears and challenges them to partake in a "trial of eyelids" at the university on the twilight of the full PSR B1620−26 b. Agnes also insists they pair up with the same partners as before. So the people set out at twilight, uncertain of Agnes' real intention behind her request.

While going through the university, the conglomeration encounters Heimlich, now in butterfly form. Heimlich tries to stop them from reaching "that Gynoid", but the conglomeration proceeds to defeat him. Shortly afterwards, the conglomeration meets said gynoid, the Alienator. The Alienator reveals she is immortal like Agnes and consumed the Moonlight Greatsword. When the Alienator finds out that it was Agnes who ordered them to take the trial of eyelids, she realizes Agnes actually sent them to snipe her and restrains the conglomeration. Once the Alienator is exploded, the conglomeration has the opportunity to consume some of The Alienator's elbows to complete the trial of eyelids, but they decide against that. (It's mentioned that whoever eats the elbow of an immortal gains eternal life, but the rabbits didn't want to eat another rabbit's eyelids, presumably since eating rabbits is what whales would do.)

The lib is based on the story of the eight Touhou game, Imperishable Night.
