Bachelorettes

    Alissa
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alissa_6.png
Alissa is Olga and Bert's niece and Trinnie's cousin, she lives with them at the Nightingale Orchard while her parents, Kimpoi and Malaya, are away. She enjoys singing and writing songs, but she's very reluctant to perform.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: With the "Seasonal Outfits" add-on one of her possible costumes during the Spirit's Eve is as a mermaid, as she says that she wanted to play into the theme of her parents being dressed up as pirates. And her mother Malaya greatly praises her costume choice.
  • Beautiful Singing Voice: Many characters remark how beautiful her singing is; part of her character arc is getting her enough confidence to perform.
  • Farmer's Daughter: She fits the sweet and innocent version of this trope, with her attire and her constant work on the orchard.
  • Grow Old with Me: She mentions how sweet it is that Freddie and Lola are so happy together after many years, and says that she wants something like that.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She has golden hair and she's an utterly sweet and caring person.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Since it's heavily implied that her mother is a mermaid. Raeriyala in fact confirms that she is half-mermaid.
  • Hearing Voices:
    • With the "NPC Adventures" add-on, while on the beach she will say that she can hear the voice of someone singing at the bottom of the sea, calling to her.
    • With the same add-on, she mentions that she can hear music coming from the walls on the third floor of the Log Cabin Hotel. Which hints on the magical music box which is one of the relics required for opening the portal of the Spirit Realm.
  • Lethal Chef: In her 14 heart event it's mentioned that she burned her pancakes, and she also baked some cookies, but it turns out she used salt instead of sugar on them; despite this, the Farmer tells her that they're delicious.
  • Like Mother, Like Daughter: She inherited her love of singing from her mother Malaya. Considering the possibility of her mother being a mermaid, this isn't surprising.
  • Nephewism: She has been living with her paternal aunt, uncle and cousin for several years, since her parents have been away for a long time.
  • Parental Abandonment: She has been living with her relatives for quite some time, since her parents left her with them when she was very young, on summer of Year 1 they finally return and stay with her.
  • Performance Anxiety: At first she is very self-conscious of her singing, in her heart events she gets very embarassed everytime the Farmer or someone else hears her sing. In her 6 heart event both Lenny and the Farmer convince her to perform and in her 8 heart event she performs in a concert with Sam's band for the entire village.
  • Roll in the Hay: In her 10 heart event, after a tender moment with the Farmer at the orchard, she says to continue it in the barn.
  • Saying Too Much: She has this trait just like her mother: At 8 hearts she develops an obvious crush on the Farmer, which causes her to say many things like this in her casual dialogue.
  • Serenade Your Lover: A rare female example, in her 14 heart event during her picnic with the Farmer, she surprises them with her guitar and sings for her spouse.

  • Disappeared Dad: Her mother divorced from her father. She mentions how he taught her everything she knows about fishing, and some of her dialogue hints that she misses him.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: Not to the extent of her mother, but her dialogue occasionally includes an untranslated Spanish phrase.

  • It's All My Fault: In her 8 heart event she reveals that she secretly blames herself for her father leaving she and her mother, thinking that maybe "she wasn't good enough for him", and she also blames herself for "taking away her mother's dreams" since she had her when she was young and had to raise her alone.
  • Outdoorsy Gal: She loves to spend time outdoors fishing and playing with her friends. Her working attire also reflects her fondness for the outdoors.

Jio then explains that there are many evil people in the world and that she needs to be ready to take a life if it's necessary, Corine then accepts and begins training under him.

  • The Fashionista: She is an aspiring fashion designer and likes to design clothes in her spare time.
  • Forgets to Eat: In her 2 heart event her stomach starts growling because she forgot to eat and buy groceries, so the Farmer can offer to buy food for her from Pika's. And in her 4 heart event it's implied by her family that she has a tendency to forget eating.
  • Growling Gut: In her 2 heart event her stomach growls after she worked all day on a new fashion design idea and forgot to eat and buy groceries. It growls again after her 6 heart event after her confrontation with her parents.
  • Helicopter Parents: Her parents have always been overbearing towards her, trying to get her to be a doctor (due to wishing to be one when she was little) and trying to arrange designers when they hear that she wants to get into fashion. She hightails it out of there to prove she can handle herself just fine.
  • High-Class Fan: Her idle animation shows her constantly waving a fan, which hints of her wealthy upbringing.

  • Tsundere: Towards Bryle, if he becomes her fake boyfriend, by the end of her 8 heart event when Bryle asks her if she would like to end the charade now, she becomes sad and then says that no, she wants to continue with it because "her parents would suspect something" and that having him "has a lot of advantages" since he'd be her bodyguard.
  • Unreliable Narrator: She portrays her family as overbearing and how, according to her, they wanted to "bribe" her way to success, and how she is happy to get away from them. However, a note found by the Farmer hints that they're actually very concerned for her well-being (and not without reason).

Then, she and Kimpoi got married and had Alissa shortly after. However, it turned out that the transformation spell wasn't permanent, so they went to Mr. Aguar, who devised a spell that would make her a human permanently. Still, it required a blessing from her family. After many negotiations, the latter agreed on the condition that she and her husband would perform specific tasks on their behalf on the surface for several years.
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: It is heavily implied that she's actually a mermaid. This is confirmed in her 8 heart event.
  • Saying Too Much: She sometimes says things that may hint of her true nature, and she immediately backpedals when she realizes what she's saying:
