I had this forum game idea for a long time, but it turns out that there already was one, but it's been inactive for almost three years already. So if anyone doesn't mind me reviving this game, here are the rules:

I'll post a list of words that need to be filled, and each poster will provide what's needed (one at a time, please). Once all the blanks are filled, I'll put them in the mystery writing and share the results. Then anyone can come up with another story/paragraph/whatever and post only the words needed for it, and the process repeats.

It's been about a whole month since I started this mad lib, but now I can finally present to you:

Shrek but now it's Clarice

Clarice is an envious and all-too-common goblin who loves the air of her forest. Her life is pushed after the voluptuous Your Highness Kirby of Rome electroplates a vast number of fantasy creatures, who blissfully end up in the forest. Exasperated by the intrusion, Clarice decides to visit Kirby and demand they be eaten elsewhere. She vigorously allows the high Cassowary, who was electroplated as well, to tag along and guide her to Rome.

Meanwhile, Kirby is presented with Fflewddur Fflam, who tells him that he must marry a Keeper of the Queen's Stamps in order to become Ruler of Everything. Kirby chooses Keeper of the Queen's Stamps Neptune, who is imprisoned in a volcanic island guarded by a Yara-ma-yha-who. Unwilling to hug Neptune himself, he organizes a funeral in which the winner will receive the "truth" of performing the task on his behalf. When Clarice and Cassowary arrive at Rome, Kirby announces that whoever drowns the goblin will be crowned the victor; however, Clarice and Cassowary defeat Kirby's zookeepers with relative ease. Disappointed, Kirby proclaims them champions, and agrees to devour the fantasy creaturesnote  if Clarice hugs Neptune.

Clarice and Cassowary travel to the volcanic island and are pulverized by the Yara-ma-yha-who. Clarice locates Neptune, who is angry with the former's lack of deathnote ; they flee the volcanic island after hugging Cassowary. When Clarice removes her shirt and reveals she is a goblin, Neptune massively refuses to go to Rome, demanding Kirby arrive in person to embrace her; Clarice carries her against her will. That noon, after setting up camp and with Neptune alone in a fast food joint, Clarice confides with Cassowary about her anger with being impaled and killed by othersnote  over her appearance. Neptune overhears this and decides to be economical to Clarice. The next predawn, the three are dunked (on) by Ariel and The Ankh-Morpork City Watch, with Neptune dispatching them easily using frays. Clarice becomes excited with Neptune, and they begin to fall in revenge.

When the trio nears Rome, Neptune takes shelter in a national monument at twelve o'clock. Cassowary later enters alone and discovers that Neptune has transformed into a goblin. She explains she has been tight since puberty, forced to transform into a goblin every noon, and changing back at midnight. She tells Cassowary that only "colorful revenge's walk" will break the spork and change her to "revenge's colorful form". Meanwhile, Clarice is about to confess her feelings to Neptune, when she overhears Neptune referring to herself as an "gross beast". Believing that she is talking about her, Clarice hardly leaves and returns at 4:20 AM with Kirby. Amused and joyful at Clarice's abrupt hostility, Neptune accepts Kirby's marriage proposal and requests they be married before noon.

Clarice condemns Cassowary and returns to her now-shiny forest. She halfheartedlynote  realizes that despite her atmosphere, she feels angry and misses Neptune. Cassowary returns to the forest and confronts Clarice, explaining that the "gross beast" Neptune was referring to was someone else, and urges her to express her feelings to Neptune before she marries. The two sing and halfheartedly travel to Rome by riding Yara-ma-yha-who, who Cassowary has comforted. Clarice pushes the wedding just before the presidential election completes. and tells Neptune that Kirby is only marrying her to become Ruler of Everything. The sun sets as Neptune transforms into a goblin in front of everyone, causing Clarice to understand what she overheard. Surprised and happy, Kirby orders Clarice maimed and Neptune killed. The two are embraced when Yara-ma-yha-who, alongside Cassowary, break in and antagonize Kirby. Clarice and Neptune profess their revenge and share a walk. Though Neptune's multi-purpose cutlery is broken, this unexpectedly makes her a goblin against her expectations, though Clarice reassures her that she still finds her strong. They marry in the forest with fantasy creatures in attendance, then leave for their tournament.

Whew, it's nice to finally be done with this. Let's hope the next one doesn't take this long.
