Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@faso: Hey! just bugs me I said give us a day! just bugs me I was away from the PC, so I couldn't salvage the profiles I wanted right away. (Lenneth and Lina).

So, copy-paste because I'm pissed and because zero feedback. I'll have something new next page.

Alright, here’s my first draft for Bob Ewell.

Robert E. Lee Ewell, God of Lower Class Louts (Bob Ewell)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/51ba60da_f9b6_4b42_a9c0_baebe102fc0f.jpeg
  • Rank: Demigod
  • Symbol: A busted up chifforobe
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Corrupt Hick, Really Dirty, Jerkass, Dirty Coward, Egomaniac Hunter, Stupid Evil, Abuses His Daughter
  • Domains: Southerners, Racism, Deplorability, Hunting
  • Allies:
  • Enemies: ATTICUS FINCH, all African American deities, the entire House of Justice
  • No one was really hoping for Bob Ewell to ascend. Ewell, while mortal, framed an innocent man, Tom Robinson, for a crime Ewell himself likely committed and only won because Tom was an African American in the post-Civil War South, when racism was high. But Atticus Finch, who was the lawyer for Tom, humiliated him so throughly that Ewell attempted to kill his children, resulting in his death. Unfortunately for Atticus as well as everyone else, all other options for Lower-Class Lout were exhausted and so Ewell was ascended.
    • The first thing Ewell did when he ascended was make a racist remark to Storm and Black Panther. That was a mistake. Not only were these two actually willing to fight back, they did. Ewell was told not to approach their temples again once he’d gotten out of the hospital.
  • Ewell still HATES Atticus, as you might expect, and often yells at him whenever they cross paths. Atticus does his best to ignore Ewell, but he often has to remind him that he was only doing his job.
    • Eventually, Ewell was given a restraining order and told that he would be arrested if he approached Atticus or his children again. Ewell ignored the order and tried to hit Atticus, leading to him spending a month in jail. However, Ewell seems to be too stupid to have learned his lesson, and so a supervisor has been hired to keep an eye on him.
  • Ewell is hated by the entire House of Justice for framing Tom and winning his trial. It doesn’t help that Tom was killed in police custody while trying to escape, thus denying a retrial, which would have likely resulted in him being found innocent.

Man, have had some really bad writers block for quite some time. Has been stuck on all three so I kinda haven't been around here all that much lately. I have tried to add some more for Mercurius. But seriously though, I'm not sure I can work in more info on them. So I wonder if they can be considered finished.

Mercurius, God of the Repeating Cycle (The Snake, Longinus Dreizehn Orden XIII, 4th Heaven, Kichi, Omega Ewigkeit, The Allfather and master of all existence, Acta Est Fabula, Karl Erst Krafft, Alessandro Cagliostro, Hermes Trismegistus, Count of St. Germain, Michel de Nostredame, Paracelsus, Johann Georg Faust, Christian Rosenkreuz, Albertus Magnus, NEET)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_mer_niyari_00.png
Click here to see Mercurius' Law
  • Possible house: Time And Space (unsure of possible sub house, though leaning towards either Time Manipulation or Time Placement)
  • Overdeity
  • Symbol: A caduceus with two snakes encircling the Earth
  • Theme Song: Ω Ewigkeit, α Ewigkeit and Jubilus
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: God of the Multiverse, Being the embodiment of his Law, Endlessly repeating timelines, Seeking Death, Created his own enemy, Likes to run his mouth, Speaks in ornate prose, Bored of Omniscience, Hated by nearly anyone who knows him, Old as the universe itself, Carefully planning out and manipulating everything and everyone
  • Domains: Time and Space, Magic, Knowledge, Manipulation
  • Herald: Marguerite Breuilh, Reinhard
  • Allies: The House of Knowledge in general, especially the Analysis and Records branch, Dio Brando (Heaven Ascended Dio specifically), Rachel Alucard, Homura Akemi, Monika, Beatrice, Yukari Yakumo
  • Enemies: Hajun, The Dahaka, The Living Tribunal, Captain America, Yuuki Terumi, Doc Scratch, The GUAD
  • A man of unknown origin, he once desired all the knowledge in the world and to know everything at any time. As a result, he rejected the law of the world and created his own law, a law where time would endlessly repeat allowing him to attain the knowledge he so sought. With this law, Vive Memor Mortis - Acta Est Fabula, he ascended to the Throne at the heart of reality and emanated across the multiverse, becoming the 4th Heaven after dethroning Satanel the 3rd Heaven, the Thrones prior holder.
  • This law is also the source of the phenomenon known as Déjà Vu that affects some individuals, making them sense as if things have already happened before.
  • After endless eons however Mercurius would realize that with endless knowledge came nothing more to know and with time endlessly repeating itself there could never be anything new to learn. He was eventually overcome by this endless boredom and resolved to end his reign. But here where two problems, the Throne needs a someone at it's seat and that due to the nature of his law he is extremely limited in what he can actually do without violating his existence.
  • Eventually however he managed to hatch a plan to facilitate the birth the 5th Heaven, someone that could not only kill him, but also take his place. And he found the perfect candidate in Marguerite Breuilh, a girl born under the guillotine and carries it's protective curse and bound to the Twilight Beach after her death. In order to groom her he used the soul of a World War 2 solider to create a vessel that could assist her growth, Ren Fujii. In addition to this he also sought to create an antagonist for Ren to further spur him to reach the heights needed for Marguerite to reach the Throne. For that he awoke the hidden power lying dormant within the infamous hangman of the Third Reich, Reinhard Tristan Eugen Heydrich, teaching him about Dies Ewigkeit as well as helping him to form the Longinus Dreizehn Orden. All to to unknowingly work towards Mercurius' final goal.
  • Ultimately, Mercurius' goal proves mostly successful where Ren manages to defeat Reinhard while at his peak all while resigning his right to claim the Throne, handing it over to Marguerite. While Marguerite decided against killing Mercurius in the end resulting in him continuing his existence as a shadow and is rejected from her law. Despite this he find this resolution satisfactory since time will now once again move forward and he can learn new things again.
  • This peace however would not last due to one critical oversight on Mercurius' part as Marguerite's law would allow for a new being to rise, a being that would not allow anyone to exist besides itself, Hajun the 6th Heaven. In desperation Mercurius invoked his law to redo the events leading up to this and make sure to annihilate all the pieces that lead to Hajun's creation. In this new timeline however, things went awry with his original plan, nearly causing either Reinhard or Ren to become the 5th Heaven. This lead to the battle of the three colors where Mercurius, Reinhard and Ren all end up annihilating each-other but in turn allowing Marguerite to claim the Throne, ultimately fulfilling Mercurius' plan anyways, something he accepts as perhaps the best solution at the end of the day.
  • Upon his ascension, Mercurius quickly drew the ire of the Dahaka due to his constant use of time manipulation to alter the course of history on top of him already defying is very being as a god of Eternal Recurrence. Him restarting the recurrence and reversing time to undo Hajun's ascension to the Throne is a particular sore spot. However due to the immense power-disparity between the two, there is little the Dahaka can do. His animosity towards Mercurius remains however.
  • Similarly, due to his use of the Throne, The Living Tribunal holds him accountable for disrupting and manipulating the multiverse, especially due to him doing so for personal gain. He also earns additional ire for trying to repeat the process again by making Marguerite Breuilh use the Throne as well as being at least partially responsible for the Battle of the Three colors, a battle where no less than three laws vied for supremacy, putting the multiverses integrity in jeopardy.
  • As a result of having allied himself with the infamous hangman of the Third Reich, Captain America have more than one thing to say about Mercurius. And while he is only using Reinhard to meet his end goals, the means he goes about it and allowing Reinhard to have such immense power still puts him on the Captains shit-list.
  • He has however earned some favor from the House of Knowledge thanks to the endless amounts of knowledge he has gained over the numerous eons he has undergone his cycle. Knowledge that Mercurius is all too willing to share. Additionally, he he also found great enjoyment out of the vast amount of knowledge from beyond even his own time and world present in the House. He does however keep quiet about both the existence and nature of the Throne, mostly to avoid a repeat of the time Hajun rose to power.
  • Due to his flair for theatrics and extensive use of prose, he can often be found in the House of Theatre, often either enjoying plays or planning his own. (The later of which some are on the fence about due to Mercurius tendency to mix plays with his scheming.)
  • One deity that ended up really catching Mercurius' interest ended up being none other than Dio Brando, an individual that reminds him a lot of his lone true friend Reinhard, both in terms of charisma and way of thinking. Especially after Dio became Heaven Ascended Dio, Mercurius can't help but feel that he is someone he can speak to as an equal.
  • Maintains a mutual if a bit of an uneasy alliance with Rachel Alucard. She is aware of Eternal Recurrence brought about by him and understands his reasons for trying to end it to allow the world to advance. That said, the uneasy part comes from the fact that she thinks he perhaps enjoyed his little "opera" a bit too much, something Mercurius doesn't try to deny. One thing they both unquestionably share however is a strong dislike for Yuuki Terumi.
  • With all the things he has done in the name of his love for Marie, he has quite some sympathy for Homura, noting the things one can do can be impressive indeed. Homura's unpredictable actions that lead to her attaining greater power however ended up completely elating Mercurius, providing him with an ever so tantalizing taste of the unknown he so craves.
    • Similarly, as he is no stranger to being alien and a prisoner in his own world as well as doing some extreme things in the name of love, he has similar sympathy for Monika. He has also expressed hope for her that she will be able to find her own happy ending. In fact in some ways, just as with Dio, she reminds him of his own dear friend as has even go so far as to try and invite her to become part of his LegionNote on Legion's .
  • Despite what may be initially believed, Mercurius loathes Doc Scratch in spite many of their shared similarities. As Doc Scratch seeks the death of the universe to bring about his master, he is by definition an enemy of the universe that Mercurius sought to entrust to his beloved Marie.
  • He has also allied himself with both Beatrice and Yukari Yakumo for some mysterious reason. When questioned regarding the alliance, none of the three individuals provided any satisfactory answers, frequently either dodging the question or answering in extremely cryptic ways.

Standard repost of Dr Cossack

Doctor Mikhail Sergeyevich Cossack, God of Initial Final Bosses (Dr Cossack)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cossackcw_1194.jpg
  • Votes: 2(nightelf37, fasoman1996)
  • Date of ascension: 29 December(repost 22 and 25 December)
  • House: Boss Design (House of Gaming)
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: A red "C"
  • Theme Song: Dr Cossack Stage 1 and Stage 2
  • Alignment: Neutral Good, True Neutral if Kalinka is threatened
  • Portfolio: Disc-One Final Boss, Papa Wolf, Only Antagonistic Because His Daughter Was Kidnapped By Wily, Russian Guy Suffers Most, Reluctant Mad Scientist, Popular Minor Character, Arctic Fortress, Badass Beard, Smart People Wear Glasses
  • Domains: Robotics, Russia, Bosses, Being Blackmailed, Fathers, Science, The Environment
  • Heralds: His daughter Kalinka Cossack, and the un-ascended Mega Man 4 Robot MastersList here
  • Sub-ordinate: Bright Man
  • Allies:
  • Enemies:
  • Opposes: Bob
  • Dr Mikhail Sergeyevich Cossack is a Russain-born roboticist, often overshadowed by the more famous Dr Light. In his debut he appeared to cause trouble for Mega man to prove he was the best robot designer, however after Mega Man defeated him it turned out Dr Wily blackmailed him into acting in his name by taking his daughter hostage. When Mega Man went on to beat the real antagonist, Cossack has remained an ally of Dr Light.
  • While his appearance(or really references) to him are sparse after his appearance, he's popular with the fans for being the first human/roboticist other than Wily or Light to appear in a Mega Man game. He's had a bigger role in the Archie comics. Well him and his daughter Kalinka, who's one of the few female characters from the Mega Man (Classic) era. Giving Dr Light the powerful support unit Beat as a reward for saving his family helps.
  • Very protective of his daughter. Dr Ludvig Maxis understands how you can be forced to do bad things to keep your child safe, so the two get along. Rumor has it that Dr Cossack wants to understand how Dr Maxis uploaded his consciousness in hopes of guiding robotics into the future. Probably because he doesn't think Dr Light should have all the fun. Given how he was forced into villainy, he sympathizes with Taylor Herbert and Tychus Findlay.
  • As a loving father, he considers scientists who abuse and experiment on their children to be even more despicable than Dr Wily. As such, he hates Relius Clover for what he's done to his kids and wife, and hates Professor Hojo for experimenting on his family. He also considers Afton loathsome for being a Serial Killer who twisted animatronics to his evil ends, and has either been callously manipulative or abusive to his family, along with the fear someone like him might come after his daughter. Shou Tucker and Ragyo Kiryuin's deranged experimentation and abuse is something he despises.
  • Mega Man 4 came out shortly after the Soviet Union fell, so some believe that he has communist leanings. Given the vague year of 20XX and Cossack looking like he's in his forties, it's unclear if he was born before or after the fall of the Soviet Union. He get along with Tashkent by any rate, so even if he's not communist he has some passion for his country's history.
  • Has no love for Dragovich or Makarov for being exceedingly villainous Russians who will cause nothing by trouble. He opposes Dr Gero as well, as while he may not be as heartless as them he's guilty of forcibly kidnapping teenagers to turn into androids in his vendetta against Son Goku. He does have a tinge of sympathy for Gero, however, because he lost his son and as a father gets why that'd hurt him so much. While Dr Cossack isn't enemies with Bob, he doesn't exactly trust him given his history with Mega Man deities.
  • The creator of at least eight Robot Masters, though Dr Wily likely had a hand involved in Ring Man and Skull Man. Cossack Robot Laboratories were also behind the new Tundra Man. Many of which have environment-related or labor functions(eg: Dust Man being a sanitation worker, Toad Man helping with irrigation). Viridi was intrigued by this, and wants to encourage this side of Dr Cossack and get robots to work more on the side of nature. As does the Lorax. Dr Cossack is focusing some of his attention of getting rid of Hexxus' influence.
  • No stranger to the cold, having graduated at the Ural State Technical Anniversary and putting his fortress in Siberia. With the creation of Tundra Man, Dr Cossack is interested in Mei's freezing abilities and her scientific knowledge. Seems to get along with Professor Utonium as well. Dr Mobius gets along with him in part because he's the most benevolent of the Think Tank, having disagreed and even broken off with them at one point due to their amoral outtake on Science! while he himself grew a "con-science". Cossack helps keep an eye out on the Think Tank, so Dr Mobius keeps his eye out for Kalinka's safety.
  • According to one webcomic, Dr Wily kidnapping his daughter was a happy accident for Wily, and the whole thing was mainly trying to get back Stalin's brain. Albeit from Ran, the fan-created robot of Kalinka Cossack who can't take a hit but can always come back with back-up bodies. Cossack was mildly amused he was one of the comic's only sane men (at least when he's not plastered) and thinks Ran might be a good idea.
  • Doesn't want to be reminded of the Brazilian Mega Man comic where his daughter is trying to bring communism across the multiverse. On a less embarrassing note, he apparently has watching ballet as a hobby.

What shrine maiden would fit as Chimecho's partner and why?

Chimecho, God of Junk Rares (The Wind Chime Pokemon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/358chimecho.png
  • House: Game Characters (House of Gaming)
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: The Pure Incense
  • Theme Song: Mt Pyre Summit
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Gender: Male
  • Ability: Levitate
  • Moveset: Heal Bell, Extrasensory, Uproar, Safeguard
    • Z-Move: Shattered Psyche
  • Portfolio: Psychic Powers, Make Me Wanna Shout, Very Hard To Get With Little Pay-off, Average Middling Stats, Joke Character, Power Floats, Can Naturally Learn Heal Bell, Evolves Through Friendship
  • Domains: Psychic Powers, Wind Chimes, Bells, Noise, Rarity
  • Interested in: the House of Music
  • Allies: Ash Ketchum, Youma Konpaku, Casper, Audino, Unown, Dan Hibiki, Castform
    • Partner: TBA
  • Odd Friendship with: Banette
  • On good terms with: James of Team Rocket, Dan Hibiki, the House of Wind and Air
  • Enemies: The evil Pokemon trainers, evil ghosts like King Boo, Al'Akir
  • Jealous of: Exodia, most legendary and psuedo-legendary Pokemon
  • The evolved form of Chingling, Chimecho is the Wind Chime Pokemon. A rare Psychic-type, it is found at the top of Mt Pyre in its original native environment. While hard to get and has a low catch rate, the pay-off isn't worth it given Chimecho's poor stats and being overshadowed by other available Psychic types.
  • The Castform in the pantheon is specifically from the top of Mt Pyre, where the species was first found. As such despite being weak to ghosts, he's actually alright being around them because Mt Pyre is home to many Ghost-type Pokemon. Well, those who aren't evil like King Boo. He seems to be friendly around Youma Konpaku and Casper, who find his bell and chiming pleasant. The species has shown up at other shrines and ancient/spooky places.
  • James thought that his old friend Chimecho had recovered from his illness and had ascended to the pantheon, only for the news to be broken to him that this wasn't his Chimecho. He still got along with this Chimecho, though it doesn't agree with Team Rocket's evil ways. Ash was accepting of Chimecho as well, given his kind heart and even Team Rocket's Chimecho wasn't that bad anyway.
  • Somewhat upset by his status as a Junk Rare. He's jealous towards Exodia for being rare AND powerful, and for the same reason has some envy towards legendary and psuedo-legendary Pokemon. However because of this he sympathizes with Castform due to being a fellow rare but weak "gimmick Pokemon", and from the same generation.
  • While it seems odd, Chimecho gets along with Banette. This is probably due to being based off objects(a wind chime and doll respectively) and being found in the same area. Maybe Banette just likes using Chimecho's bell to spook people. Audino gets along with Chimecho as she's rare and not all that strong, and Unown for being a fellow weak Psychic type. Also seems to get along with Dan Hibiki, being a fellow Joke Character.
  • Prefers being in windy areas, due to being a living wind chime. Most of the gods there Chimecho seems to get along with, but not A'Akair since his tornadoes are too much for him. The chiming comes off as pleasant, and he wishes to be better at using his bells. For this, he is working with the House of Music. Chimecho also likes berries.

@yugi: Perhaps for the sake of making sure you actually take into account YHVH's true motives, I should [tdown] Dr. Fate until you do so. After all, as quoted in the Megamitensei Wiki in the events of SMT IV: Apocalypse...

YHVH, also known as the Creator God, is revealed to be the true villain of the story of both Apocalypse and IV's universes; controlling both halves of Satan (Lucifer and Merkabah) and the forces of Chaos and Law to perpetuate an eternal war that will never have a true winner. His madness had made him an enemy of the Great Will, who had been creating and incarnating messiahs to oppose him, with two messiahs needed to bring true freedom from YHVH's grasp.

Tell me: Would Doctor Fate truly support a god like that?

Akechi Samanosuke Hidemitsu, God of Multi-Colored Weapons (Samanosuke, Red Onimusha, Nankobou Tenkai)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/250px-Samanosuke_Akechi1_5579.jpg
Samanosuke as Nankobo Tenkai
  • Intermediate God (potentially Greater God if wielding the Gemma Samonji)
  • Theme Songs: His theme as Samanosuke, Tenkai's theme as Nankobo Tenkai
  • Symbol: The Oni Gauntlet with each fingers (except one) holding a katana, spear, axe, bow, all with differing colors.
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Genma-slaying, Awkward Movement Scheme, More Badass And Romanticized Than His Original Self, Dying And Resurrected As A Badass Early In His Tale, Samurai, Ninja, Oni Form, Looking Like Takeshi Kaneshiro, Being Spat Out From Hell
  • Domains: Weapons, Combat, Heroism
  • High Priests: Yagyu Sekishusai Jubei, Jacques Blanc, Kaijin no Soki/Yuki Hideyasu
  • Allies: Akechi Mitsuhide, Sanada Yukimura, Dante Sparda, Amaterasu, Gracia, Chris & Claire Redfield, Leon Scott Kennedy
  • Enemies: Fortinbras, Demonic Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Shang Tsung
  • Really Awkward Relationship: 'Normal' Oda Nobunaga
  • Usually called Samanosuke, at first he was just known as a relative of Akechi Mitsuhide that stayed with him to the bitter end. But for some reason, he was attacked by a group of demons called the Genma, died, and resurrected by the Oni to become their champion, Onimusha, and set out to defeat the rampant villainized figures of the Sengoku Period thanks to Fortinbras. All while wielding weapons of many elements that shone in bright color depending on the element. He possessed that many variety, which became the reason of his ascension.
  • On his ascension, he was quite surprised with the changes of some figures he knew in life. For instance, the Oda Nobunaga he defeated seemed to also existed in different form, but there's another Nobunaga that looked more chill, calculating and a bit more subdued in his 'demon king image'... but overall not that much of an Evil Overlord that he knew of. This much culture shock took quite long enough for Samanosuke to get used to.
    • Of course, he also just had to get used to how his father Mitsuhide tends to suffer Split Personality in which his bad self could get as bad as the Genma themselves...
    • At least he's glad to meet the sister he rarely visited in life, Gracia. And he'll gladly tell that in his verse, Gracia turned out normally.
    • He expected that Toyotomi Hideyoshi would be a scrawny bootlicking screwball, but was shocked when he saw that Hideyoshi was instead a giant of a man... and a lot more capable to giving him a severe beatdown. While Samanosuke managed to stand his ground, he's quite surprised with this particular change.
    • He is considered a most Worthy Opponent and great rival in combat by Sanada Yukimura, one of the people that burns his warrior spirit.
  • Fortinbras was absolutely furious that the Red Onimusha himself has entered the Pantheon. Samanosuke has learned a few things from one of his high priests that he personally accompanied, Soki, and considered that he beat Fortinbras once... he can do so again. And also borrows one of the phrases from Soki himself, stating that Fortinbras is just very single-minded and can't even understand anything other than 'evil'... not being a God that should be bowed to, but just a 'piece of shit' (He'd say it in a softer manner, he's not that foul-mouthed)
  • Samanosuke was quite surprised to see Amaterasu. As far as he learned from his verse, it was Fortinbras who sired mankind, only as a Slave Race and food race for the Genma. To see Amaterasu being the protector of mankind that was abhorred with how Fortinbras acts made Samanosuke swear fealty on her and promised to aid her in case his hunch comes true that Fortinbras is planning to make his verse's history override Japan's overall.
  • His demon/Genma-slaying achievements caught the attention of the demon-slayer Dante Sparda, who likes to sometimes butt and join in Samanosuke's Genma-slaying activities. Samanosuke appreciates and respects his combat skills, but sometimes felt a bit overwhelmed when Dante decides to get a bit chatty. Also Dante stated that his weapons are pretty shiny.

Yagyu Munenori, God of Simplicity's Effectiveness (Jubei, Sword Saint, Ryutan, The Lion Who Bore No Fangs, Peerless in Swordsmanship, Saber Empireo, Yagyu Tajima-no-Kami Munenori, Guardian of the Tajima, Sitting Master, Historically Accurate Old Man)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/103200b2.png
Munenori in his younger days
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His historically accurate black armor
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral
  • Portfolio: Yagyu-Shinkage-Ryuu Swordsmanship, Power In Simplicity, Action Politician, Zen and Sword As One, Cool Old Guy, Life-Giving Sword, Victims of Historical Villain Upgrade, Iaijutsu Practitioner, Fighting With Pure Swordsmanship Instead of Fancy Powers
  • Domain: Combat, Style, War
  • Allies: Tokugawa Ieyasu, Honda Tadakatsu, Hattori Hanzo, Sanada Nobuyuki and Inahime, Tomoe Gozen, Okita Souji, Bruce Lee
  • Rivals: Miyamoto Musashi, Akechi Samanosuke Hidemitsu
  • Enemies: Fortinbras, Amakusa Shiro Tokisada
  • One of the heads of the Yagyu Shinkage Ryuu school, a sword style that emphasizes in less flashy style, but extremely accurate and dangerous. Munenori is one of its heads that has reached zen state with this style, known as the 'Sword Saint'. When the throne became vacant due to reasons, this throne was handed down to Munenori, who displayed historically accurate, non-flashy but dead effective strikes with his style.
  • Aside of being a Sword Saint, Munenori also dabbles in politics, and for the most part, he was actually one of the few good politicians, dedicating his life and guidance for the people and teaching that swords are meant to give life, not kill. Of course, the bad rap of politicians overall made him ripe for Historical Villain Upgrade, especially when his son Mitsuyoshi was kicked out and then became one of the most romanticized swordsman in history, and he's often being cited as really jealous at his son. In reality, Munenori never held it against him, he taught everything he could, and that accidental strike on the eye also shaped him up as a great swordsman too.
  • As he guarded the generations of the Tokugawa Shogunate until his time to depart from the mortal realm, he had the gratitude of many Tokugawa supporters.
  • One of Munenori's hidden desires (well, everyone can have that...) is to be free from all worldly desires and just fight properly as best as he can. This is how he got into a rivalry with the swordsman Musashi, not just some 'heroic Musashi vs slimy Munenori' like many believed.
  • In his younger days, it looked like he was often seen just fighting with his scabbard. Drawing swords will have to force him to a more complex style, and he'd just do it when there's no other choice. Also, it would have a higher chance to kill, scabbards will let him not kill unnecessarily.
  • He heard the legendary phrase of Bruce Lee "I fear not the man who practiced 100 punches once, but I fear the man who practiced one punch 100 times.", and was immediately impressed. He agreed that it's the surest way of victory.
  • To his utmost shame, it seemed that there was another version of him which was the culmination of every villainization he got, where he's instead a sleazy, sadistic, evil swordsman with his own overly high ambition. To cleanse this, Munenori personally hunted down this evil self, and eventually struck him down in a plains bathed in moonlight.
My mind is idle. But at the same time, it also needs to achieve freedom. This is known as reaching the state of being free from worldly or worthless thoughts. Kenjutsu Musou - Kenzen Ichinyou.
    • After clearing the misconceptions with the resident of that world, Akechi Samanosuke (who then became his rival in a more friendlier way than before), Munenori learned about the being that made that world... the demon Fortinbras. After awhile learning about him, for Munenori, it doesn't matter if it's a demon, or he made that disgraceful version of him. A threat to mankind like him... will be cut down.
  • And if you ask what's his most dangerous position? Sitting. His sit level is on EX rank. He can manipulate the surrounding by just sitting down and getting up.
  • After hearing the turmoil of historical people involving a certain Shimazu Toyohisa, Munenori has once wondered. If he was summoned there, he would've likely been put amongst the Ends, as mankind seemed to hold him more as an Evil Politician rather than his honest-to-God self-penned book "Life-Giving Sword".

So I did add some stuffs... they good now? I just need 2 more [tup] and I can go on without regrets.
