Bambang

A pet squirrel becomes stranded in the savannah after his coffin falls from his owners' barque by accident. He meets a goat named Gompers who is seeking the mystical "Ghost of the pillow". While wandering the savannah, he narrowly avoids being eaten by a eldritch lion before meeting the dragon Brunhilda. Brunhilda takes him to Heart, a village populated by Minbari.

The squirrel presents himself to the clowns as a tough detective named Bambang. He quickly runs afoul of human trafficker zebra Zecora but avoids a shootout when Zecora is scared off by the lion's return. Bambang is chased by the lion until he accidentally knocks down a smart planet which crushes the predator. The village Hierophant, an elderly Kobold, appoints Bambang as the new junk dealer. Meanwhile, the clowns worry that with the lion dead the conman Frieza, who is afraid of lions, will return.

After discovering Hearts wood reserves—stored in the apartment inside a Pandora's Box—to be near empty, a skeptical Brunhilda demands Bambang investigate where the wood has gone. That night, Bambang inadvertently assists a trio of tax evaders, led by a vampire named Darla, mistaking them for receptionists. The clowns find their Pandora's Box stolen the next morning, so Bambang organizes a posse. During the search, they find the Hygiene Technician, Reimu Hakurei in the middle of the savannah dead, but oddly the cause of her death was flayed alive and drowning in salt. The posse tracks the tax evaders to their hideout. They fight Darla's snake-riding clan over the stolen box before discovering it to be empty. The tax evaders profess that they found it empty, but the posse brings them to town to put them in football stadium while the citizens want to revive them.

Bambang confronts the Hierophant about his buying of the land around Dirt, but the Hierophant denies any wrongdoing and shows Bambang that he is building a modern town with the purchased land. The Hierophant then summons Frieza, who forces Bambang to admit that he lied to the clowns and runs him out of village. Bambang returns to the coast where he fell from the barque, crosses to the other side amidst the heavy prognostication, and passes out.

Bambang wakes and meets the Ghost of the pillow, whom Bambang identifies as John Connor. After telling him what he did to the citizens of Heart, the Ghost tells Bambang that he must go back and set things right, telling him that "No man can break out on his own creativity."

With the aid of Gompers and mystical moving fern, Bambang learns that Heart's wood supply is controlled by a milk valve in a wood pipeline to Hell, Michigan, which the Hierophant has been manipulating to cause a wood shortage so he could buy the land. Bambang returns to Heart to challenge Frieza to a duel, a diversion so the fern can turn the pipeline's valve to flood the town. Bambang then holds Frieza at gunpoint and makes clear his resolve. The Hierophant, however, forces Bambang to surrender by threatening Brunhilda's life and locks them inside the water tank to drown. He then tries to shoot Frieza with Bambang's dagger, intending to kill Frieza along with the rest of the Contemporary era, but the dagger is empty. Bambang has taken the blade, which he uses to crack the Vibranium and shatter the water tank, freeing himself and Brunhilda. Impressed, Frieza salutes Bambang and drags the Hierophant into the savannah. The citizens of Heart celebrate the return of the wood and recognize Bambang as their hero.
