Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For PokĂ©mon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the PokĂ©mon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the PokĂ©mon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a PokĂ©mon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@ Shinobi

Have an idea that satisfies both. Why don't I have the Looper and Jonesy be in the same profile?

Not sure about that. It might work, but ultimately feel the Looper is just kinda fluff when paired with someone else.

What else can I say about Comicron-1 that hasn't been said?

Comicron-1 (formerly Lord Vyce's ship)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/comicron1.png
  • Hall: Vehicles Depot (The Great Treasury)
  • Appearance: A V-styled spaceship
  • Class Level: 3 (2 under Vyce's control)
  • Museum Check: Granted (requires the current owner's permission, though)
  • Alignment: Lawful Good with its current A.I, Lawful Evil when under Vyce's command. True Neutral without its current A.I
  • Portfolio: Cool Starship, Space Fighter, A Unique Design Near-Impossible To Repair Without Use Of The Forge, Wave-Motion Gun, Hard Light, Best Assets Blocked Off Without Vyce But Still Formidable, Constructed From Multiple Universes' Materials, having a Benevolent A.I.
  • Domains: Interdimensionality, Conquest (Formerly), Review Videos (Currently), Spaceships, Teleporters, Strange Happenings (in general)
  • Owner: Linkara (current owner), Lord Vyce (creator and original owner)
  • A.I: NIMUE (non-ascended)
  • Ship mechanic: 90s Dude
  • Lord Vyce has had many allies in his pursuit of the Entity, but all of them came and gone. The only thing left was his powerful spaceship, a complicated vehicle with material from multiple universes. It utilizes something known as the Forge, which can convert any material nearby to repair the ship. For times unknown it was under his possession, until he was defeated by Linkara and his allies. Many of the ship's abilities were locked without Vyce but it still a formidable ship, and one of Linkara's best assets against the often bizarre enemies he deals with. He's dubbed the ship Comicron-1, and has occasionally made comic book reviews on the ship.
  • Currently located in Earth orbit, making up Linkara's "Arsenal of Freedom", and being observed by the US government as a matter of security. Much to the original owner's protest, Linkara has allowed Comicron-1 to show up in the Vehicles Depot. However you need his formal permission before using the ship. As an unabashed nerd he was pretty excited to see it in the same location as the Batmobile and the DeLorean Time Machine. Unfortunately for him this also meant it was in the same Hall of the USG Ishimura. The fear of Necromorphs getting onto the Comicron-1 has him tempted to let Lord Vyce open up some protective functions, but he doesn't think it's worth the risk after Vyce broke their Enemy Mine as he refused to accept the Entity was dead and still argues he's needed to "protect" the multiverse.
  • As it is, Comicron-1 isn't able to travel to other universes like it was under Lord Vyce. It can go as far enough as Jupiter's orbit, though presumably it can't got FTL. Linkara hasn't tried to at least. Given the cosmic threats he once merely reviewed are in the Trope Pantheon like him, such as Planet Remina, he wishes its full capabilities aren't locked. Petitions for helping the ship reach its full capabilities have been sent to Team Lightyear and the Green Lantern Corps. No-one who knows how to improve it has managed to make a permanent upgrade. Currently he'll mulling over whether it'd be easier to just find one of Nebby's species and use them for multiversal travel.
Linkara: "Damnit, why do I have to deal with this comic book trope!"
  • Almost certainly has an FTL drive, though Linkara has never demonstrated it in part because he's never had to go that far into space, the furthest he's gone being Jupiter's orbit which doesn't require him to exceed c to reach at the time he went there. Vyce has stated that yes it does, that should be obvious, but hasn't gone into more detail and alludes to it being one of the higher functions he refuses to unlock until he gets control of the ship again. Professor Farnsworth muses that as it is it's no good if he wants to use it to make interstellar deliveries, but Linkara doesn't care about that since among other reasons he's financially stable. Rick Sanchez regularly roasts Comicron-1 as looking like a nerd's wet dream or something. His ship is a simple UFO but it can travel interstellar and interdimensional distances with ease and comes equipped with a variety of weapons. While Rick has a point, Linkara refuses to rise to the bait.
  • In a way, Comicron-1 could count as a deity and a treasure, as it is piloted by an A.I called NIMUE. She does double duty performing security, and looks kind of like HAL 9000. However unlike him, she performs as intended and rolls her avatar's eyes at her physical design being similar to it. However like everyone else if she wants to be a deity she has to apply and she can exist independently of Comicron-1 if need be. Since the ship itself is part of the Trope Pantheon she is able to communicate to other Spaceship Girl AIs, such as EDI and Cortana. She doesn't feel the need to make a humanoid avatar, at least right now, but she does have a perceived feminine avatar in digital space. Don't try to override her, especially with your own consciousness; Vyce barely survived her retaliation. Unfortunately beings like SKYNET and Sigma think they have a good shot at succeeding where she failed, and they might be right to think so.
    • Since Linkara's favorite film is Camelot, some think that's where he got the name for the AI. Merlin has been pondering visiting Comicron-1 with that in knowledge.
  • Has a scout ship called the Vigilant which can be modified into a Space Fighter, and an intended second model called Comicron-2 after Comicron-1 ended up out of commission on the moon. Well, had, Vyce ended up taking Comicron-2 to kill the Entity only to fall into the collapsing Pocket Dimension meant for the now dead for real Entity. Unfortunately, for Vyce, he didn't come back with it, but he muses its design is inferior due to being a Glass Cannon. The Grand United Alliance of Good reached out to Linkara after entering and winning the recent Tournament of Champions saying they want to support. The absolute Toku fan that he is, the GUAG members he gets support of the most from are the Power Rangers. He wants to figure out how to let the Comicron-1 has a mecha mode but the design of the ship is enough of a Black Box no progress in doing so has been made.
  • You have to be invited to enter Comicron-1. The Nostalgia Critic was kind of annoyed he doesn't have this badass ship, having to settle to make his house a spaceship, and due to out of universe events Linkara isn't enthused about inviting him. He might think differently if he or the Angry Video Game Nerd want to help him deal with his or mutual enemies. Villains almost never get an invitation even if Linkara's a fan of them for security reasons. One of the reasons why it's "almost" is because Snowflame can show up since he's kind of roomies with the reviewer (and he thinks he's a personal Ensemble Dark Horse). He initially allowed superheroes to come in unannounced but grew sick of Batman trying to make contingency plans for Comicron-1 so from now on they need an invitation. Blue Beetle and Booster Gold are common visitors.
  • Though villains almost never get an invitation, there are blatant perma-ban lists. Complete Monsters, of course they're not invited. Those that push more into existential threat territory for him/being very OP, also never allowed entry. He doesn't want SKYNET or any of its loyal agents due to experience with Mechakara. However he has also permanently banned Amanda Waller despite her being more an occasional/ambiguous villain. Why? Simple; she keeps trying to shut his show down and seize his assets for the US government due to not trusting him, or making her own contingencies in case he goes rogue. Being a comic book fan, he feels those contingencies would be at best questionable.
Linkara: You know I've read "JLA: Tower of Babel right? I've seen how a full on superhero's contingencies can go belly-up, so I'm sure as hell not trusting you! Also FYI, Batman was meant to be seen in the wrong."
  • Thanks to the holodeck, Linkara is able to make Comicron-1 his home away from home. The ship utilizes repurposed Cybermats made by Linkara's tech expert Dr Linksano. No, not Dr Insano, but his brother from another universenote . Linkara's old nemesis was pretty pissed off to see even after a decade he still has ownership of Lord Vyce's ship and he plans to take control of the ship for himself. Lionel Hutz attempted to make some sort of lawsuit over these "borrowed assets", but the crew of the USS Enterprise roll their eyes at a harmless Shout-Out. Unfortunately the Cybermen had another idea, in that they are trying to control the repurposed Cybermats in order to take the ship for themselves.
  • SCP-2578-D has been communicating with Comicron-1 after noticing its presence in Earth orbit. The Kill Sat stated that it sees even greater potential for heroism than Linkara thinks, as he could use the ship to intimidate dictators into surrendering power and allowing more freedom. Linkara tacitly refuses as he believes this would be Jumping Off the Slippery Slope; he had a major reality call after being called out for his unheroic actions and he witnessed his hologram clone to plan to use it against Marvel and DC editors to force them to improve the quality of comic books. He's a comic-loving nerd and he's not going to indulge in the behavior of characters like The Authority. The SCPs Hall of Military Technology has been observing the ship for its potential. Stan Smith has tried to exploit his CIA status to go on the ship under the pretense of the US government monitoring it, but Linkara saw right through it and kicked him off since he would rather avoid any of his 'verse's craziness on his ship...he has enough weirdness on his own.

I'll update the Guangdong profile later on, but given that some users have misinterpreted some of the Chief Executives' actions, I've decided to provide a whole story summary of Guangdong in The New Order: Last Days of Europe:

Yes, I had to put it all into a folder since trying to spoil out some parts would be extremely tedious. That, and it's really big.

In an Alternate-History Nazi Victory timeline where the entire Axis won World War II, after Chiang Kai-Shek and Mao Zedong were killed during the Second Sino-Japanese War, Wang Jingwei managed to usurp the KMT leadership to force a surrender to Japan, where they officially acknowledged the Jingwei regime as official and that resulted in a puppet state, which saw China divided into multiple territories and whole part of China carved to initially serve as a retirement home for Japanese soldiers, but TĹŤjĹŤ Hideki was forced out of his position as Prime Minister of Japan, resulting in it instead becoming an playground for unrestrained capitalism, being filled with crime, political corruption, and poverty, overseen by the various Zaibatsus that rule over Guangdong.

Before the events of the game start, Morita Akio and Ibuka Masaru once worked for Tokyo Telecommunications. However, because of Tokyo Telecommunications slow growth, Ibuka would betray Morita for Fujitsu, resulting in Morita being left broke until Li Ka-Shing met with him at Ka-Shing's plastic flower factory, where they managed to turn it into the Sonus-Li Electronics Company (Sony) corporation, and with the help of triad boss Stanley Ho, who used his networks of runners to sell to the Chinese and Zhujin (Chinese who have assimilated into Japanese culture and Japanese people who consider Guangdong their home), but was later hit by an patent infringement by Ibuka, though this backfired and instead propelled Sony into becoming one of the big Japanese megacorps. Elsewhere, as a result of Sony's rise, Matsushita Electronics would be overshadowed by Sony's accomplishments, resulting in its Operational Head, Matsushita Masaharu determined to subjugate Guangdong as the corporate domain for Matsushita Electric.

Cut to the present day, and the current Chief Executive, Suzuki Teiichi is employed by Ino Hiroya (later retconned to be Funada Naka in the upcoming Setting Sun update) to ensure that Guangdong remains as a loyal puppet state to Japan. During the outbreak of the Malayan Emergency, the PM requests Suzuki to subsidize either Sony, Matsushita Electronic, or Fujitsu's experimental weapons to be tested for the conflict, resulting in the creation of the Product Testing and Research Group, a military unit designed for testing out new weapon, much to the chagrin of IJA general Nagano Shigeto. Regardless of how impractical some of the rifles are, if enough goals are met for the experimental rifles, they can instead combine all aspects of Sony, Matsushita Electronic, and Fujitsu's experimental rifle designs to create the 'NUE' Next-Generation Rifle, which is adopted across the entire Japanese Co-Prosperity Sphere. While all of this is happening, Suzuki overhears about Matsuzawa Takuji ranting about the PM and the Minezaka firm. Later, Suzuki will pass the Revised Labor Standard Ordinance to improve work hours, though this is mostly out of pragmatism. All seems well, until the Yasuda Crisis occurs. Because of the combined amount of finances and political power needed to pass it, this results in Suzuki's already tarnished reputation sinking down further, until Ibuka Masaru convinces Matsuzawa to turn against him out of his fear of his family being abandoned in the Yasuda Crisis, resulting in a Vote of No Confidence being passed against him and Suzuki being forced to resign.

At this point, Matsuzawa is assigned as the current Chief Executive, though it's clear that he is mostly being used to be the scapegoat for some of the other Zaibatsu's actions, but he is far from toothless. He can either repeal or delay the RLSO, either following Ibuka or Morita's plan. Later, he can either turn the Japanese expats back or invite them in, much to the chagrin of the Chinese and the Zhujin. Afterwards, an auction for Yasuda's remaining assets occurs, and Matsuzawa can either make sure nothing sneaky is going on or tip the favor to a specific Chief Executive. Afterwards, a power vacuum is created, and either Cheung Kong or Hitachi can take the position.

If Morita wins the power struggle, he will have the chance to reform Guangdong's structure so it that it becomes known for the "The Lion Rock Spirit" as its people now have a dream for the future. To do this, he will implement reforms to give fairer treatments to the workers, encourage humane rural development, overhauled infrastructure, end the forced deportations in favor of a fairer migration policy, and relocating the fund to either financial bonds, future funds, or soup kitchens and schools. He can also implement ordinances to achieve financial independence and end the social inequities. Finally, he will tackle crime as part of his platform, sweeping the mess of police corruption and teaming up with triad leader Stanley Ho to combat the Yakuza through obtaining the Makao casino license, which could heavily favor a group if they manage to get it. If Stanley Ho manages to secure the license, this will heavily damage the Yakuza's criminal activities and preventing the other Chief Executives from using them as a leverage against Morita.

If Matsushita wins the power struggle, he will begin to start turning Guangdong into Matsushita Electronic's corporate empire. To do this, he will need to balance out the Japanese dominance across the nation while implementing token concessions to the Chinese and Zhujin. In addition, to make sure that Guangdong is prepared for similar situations to the Yasuda Crisis, he will starting selling off Yasuda's assets which can be manipulated by him for a high-risk, high-reward bet, clearer bankruptcy codes, and financial independence. To make sure that the Legislative Council adheres to his agenda while keeping dissent to a low, Matsushita, along with the Corruption Investigation Ordinance, to investigate the LegCo's corruption, his own company potentially excluded, provide some token reforms to the Chinese and Zhujin, appoint members of his own company to government positions, and raising the quality of life. Finally, to tackle the crime problem, he can enact more safeguards against corruption or risk everything into taking the Triads and the Yakuza down, while also reforming the police so that they can cleanse the streets of crime better.

If Ibuka wins the power struggle, he will begin to turn Guangdong into a technocracy where hard workers are rewarded and the lazy punished. To do this, Ibuka will liquidate "wasteful" government programs and raise the standards for hard work, firing anyone who fails to meet Fujitsu's expectations, and later clearing out the bureaucracy with the Guangdong Civil Service Ordinance. Meanwhile, Ibuka's interest in computers can result in him developing an infrastructure to favor them or even replace some of their workers with them, enforcing it with the Guangdong Efficiency Ordinance. He will also demolish the slums and evict their residents to transform the former areas into massive industrial sectors to produce the country's steel belt. To encourage entrepreneurship, he will also enact the building of research parks and a Committee of Technology, which increases the intellectual class. To further ensure Fujitsu's dominance, the Guangdong Trademark Ordinance will allow them to sue anyone that uses designs that uses even a slight resemblance to Fujitsu's design. In further regards to the workers, he will encourage the usage of a 10-point scale which highly rewards hard workers and heavily punishes laziness, resulting in a rat race of those expected to hold their position or get demoted/fired. Later, he will implement the Guangdong Organized Labor Ordinance to allow business managers to control their labor laws. He will also create the Guangdong Education Ordinance to standardize school curricula and mandate a diploma for various jobs. To rid of poorer urban distracts, he can potentially pass the Guangdong Zoning Ordinance to relocate businesses and residences based on efficiency regardless of the heartbreak it creates. However, because of how costly it is in both emotionally and economically, this is the only ordinance that Ibuka is not really furious on when it fails to pass. Meanwhile, as the Triads are allied with Sony and Cheung Kong, Ibuka will organize Operation 489 to destroy the Triads once and for all, either with just the police force or with the help of the Yakuza and Kempeitai. If he succeeds, he will deal a massive blow to Sony and Cheung Kong's operations. As for the bureaucracy, Ibuka replaces most of them with his Fujitsu loyalists, and passes the Guangdong Anti-Corruption Ordinance to survey any future LegCo crimes, while increasing the presence of the police and surveillance, finally ending with the Guangdong Modern Police Ordinance to give them modern equipment and state-of-the-art technology.

However, as they begin to implement their ideas into Guangdong, in the shadows, Hitachi plots to coup the Chief Executive with assistance of Manchuria and the Imperial Japanese Army. Bribing three officials to switch to Hitachi, the Chief Executive takes notice and begins acting plans to halt their rise. Elsewhere, Hitachi planes land at a KĹŤshu airport under the pretense of an "emergency landing", hijacking the entire facility to prepare for a coup. If the Chief Executive manages to uncover their plans, the coup fails and Hitachi is no longer considered as a threat to the Chief Executive. If Hitachi manages to successfully gain more than 35 seats in the LegCo, however, then they will proceed with their coup — bombs planted by the IJA will explode around KĹŤshu, which is said to be the biggest terrorist attack on Japanese soil since the Marco Polo bridge incident, and the Chief Executive is ambushed by his own convoy, forcing the current Chief Executive to resign. However, this was all planned by Komai KenichirĹŤ to usurp power, and deeming the now-resigned Chief Executive a failure due to the "terrorist" plot succeeding, he announces himself to be next Chief Executive, turning all of Guangdong upside-down.

To further sink the corporate order to new lows, Komai will roll out various Kempeitai agents to arrest anyone protesting Hitachi's rule, only enforced with the Public Information and Disinformation Relief Ordinance, which allows only pro-Hitachi articles to be published, relying on either Nissan or his own security forces to maintain PR or instill fear to rule over the population. Meanwhile, many business are forced to sell to Hitachi or face bankruptcy and have their assets fall into Hitachi's hands anyway, with such actions being approved if the Financial Reorganization and Revitalization Ordinance passes, allowing Hitachi to buy out their competition. To implement the Manchurian system into Guangdong, any government regulation is aborted with the assistance of the Revised Social Recovery Ordinance, raising work hours and also forcing business to sign contracts with Hitachi with the Economic Partnership and Reconciliation Ordinance, less they face retribution from Hitachi, Kempeitai, or the Yakuza. As this occurs, Hitachi will be visited by Nissan and MangyĹŤ representatives, and can either invest their resources to Guangdong's infrastructure with the assistance of the Entrepreneurial Recovery Ordinance to remove any red tape for them, or can be allowed to control Guangdong's economical institutions. To further increase the "state of emergency" Komai has created, he can implement a strict curfew and the Public Stability and Security Ordinance allow the police to be remilitarized, torturing or executing everyone opposing Hitachi. As this occurs, overflowing prisons become a problem for Hitachi's regime, though this is finally resolved when the Violent Crime Control and Incarceration Ordinance deports the prisoners to Manchuria where they will slave away their sentences.

Just when the Chief Executive manages to consulate their rule in Guangdong, the Oil Crisis, sparked by a massive amount of instability in the Middle East and causing oil prices to massively inflate, causes massive damage to Guangdong not unlike the Yasuda Crisis. Eventually, massive protests erupt in Guangdong, kickstarting the Guangdong Riots, mainly lead by the Guangdong Federation of Tradesmen and the Chinese Committee of Labor, with their members comprising of Zhujin and Chinese respectively. The Chief Executive is given an limited amount of time to quell the riots before Japan's frustration reaches 100%, either by negotiating with them which is best done by decreasing their strength and severity to a minimum, or they can dismantle them. For Komai, dismantling them is the only option, either through pragmatic means or unrestrained brutality. The endings depend on whether the riots were quelled in time or not:

If Japan's frustration reaches 100% before the riots are quelled, then ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE FOR EVERYONE IN GUANGDONG. Japan allows Nagano Shigeto's garrison to forcibly dismantle the riot organizations, resulting in them slaughtering protesters and civilians not unlike the Rape of Nanking. Abolishing the LegCo alongside the PTRG, the KĹŤshu trials will deem most of the Guangdong officials and civilians guilty, with the most suspect having their corpses hanged across skyscrapers as a warning to those who oppose the Empire of Japan. As Guangdong wakes up from the Silicon Dream, an enraged China will likely begin their plans to kickstart the Great Asian War, bringing an even bigger catastrophe to the Co-Prosperity Sphere and China.

If the riots were quelled before Japan's frustration reaches 100% or if the riots were quelled just before Japan successfully prepares the garrison, life changes back to normal in Guangdong. The various Chief Executives' endings, however, depend on what actions they took during the riots:

During a Sony-Guangdong playthrough, if Morita's policies were favored, traders are selling Sony stock to the Kanton Sasshin Fund to prepare for an hostile takeover of Sony. They must gather enough clues to find where the Kanton Sasshin Fund really is going to. If Morita doesn't put the blame on foreigners, the Fund deals irreparable damage to Sony's stock, which is kept on life support by Stanley Ho's triads. Otherwise, if Morita suspects foreign involvement, then they will successfully trace the Fund to MangyĹŤ, directly linking Hitachi to the conspiracy and discrediting Komai as his head, allowing Sony's stocks to be secure. If Li's policies were favored, his family is kidnapped in a hostage crisis, where their kidnappers demand that Li stop his austerity programs or his family dies, forcing them to search for clues for their whereabouts. If the case goes cold, then with the exception of his son Victor, Li's wife is killed in a botched rescue attempt. Otherwise, the rescue attempt is a complete success, and Hitachi is revealed to have backed the kidnapping. Regardless, in a Sony failure scenario, this results in more authoritarian attempts to quell the riots, alienating the Chinese in the process and setting up a showdown with Fujitsu over Guangdong's future. Otherwise, in spite of some problems persisting in Guangdong like the status quo still existing, the reforms Sony had implemented were a success, legitimatizing Guangdong and allowing it to live up its reputation as "The Lion Rock Spirit", a nation where Zhujin and Chinese dream for the future.

During a Matsushita playthrough, he's forced to turn to Morita and Ibuka to give them favors so that the riots can be quelled. If he cedes too much influence to either Morita or Ibuka, he'll become a puppet under them, effectively turning Matsushita Electric into a proxy of either Sony or Fujitsu. However, if he manages to maintain his independence by balancing them out, this will allow Matsushita Electric to effectively turn Guangdong into their latest domain, entrenching their rule and earning his father-in-law's respect in the process.

During a Fujitsu playthrough, as the Guangdong Riots engulf, Ibuka realizes the nature of his technocratic vision and how it will bring nothing but sadness. If he choses to persist in his vision regardless of the consequences, then after the riots have been quelled, Ibuka becomes a dictator all in name, passing the Guangdong Future Act which subjugates all LegCo representatives to himself regardless of how many votes it has, also targeting his former allies in the Yakuza and Hitachi, much to their horror. His supposed technocratic utopia is recognized by the world akin to Silicon Valley, which even the USA and Nazi Germany begrudgingly respect. However, if he choses to reconcile for his actions, then Guangdong returns to its state before Fujitsu implemented their policies, and Ibuka approaches Sony for the first time in ages, apologizing for his actions. While Morita tells him that all of Guangdong isn't likely to forgive him for what he's done, Ibuka accepts this, but promises him that he has changed for the better. More disturbingly, because of him repenting, Komai conspires with Nagano to prepare a coup.

During a Hitachi playthrough, Komai will feel disrespected for being a tool for Manchuria and will begin plotting to cut his strings from them. If he relied too much on Manchuria's help, then his plot to achieve independence from them when they visit KĹŤshu fails: they land at a location where they fully see the scale of destruction the riots have caused, and take away most of his authority as punishment for allowing this to happen. Komai is unable to savor his victory without thinking back to his masters in Manchuria as a result. However, if he asserted enough independence, then everything goes as planned: the plane carrying the Manchurian executives land in a distant airfield where it is isolated from the riots. While they are suspicious about him withholding information on how really bad the riots are, they cannot prove anything because Komai managed to successfully hide every single clue that the riots are just as bad as they think, countering that most Manchuria has failed to do what Komai did: produce profits. After the riots are put down, Komai is finally truly independent from his masters, able to doing anything he wants to his "Rome" as their Pater Patriae and Julius Caesar, dooming everyone in Guangdong under his gaze.

In spite of this, the looming threat of the Republic of China preparing a Great Asian War threatens Guangdong's existence, and regardless of the outcome, the Chief Executive is ready to make sure that they will not lose everything that they've built in this nation.

I have a new deity suggestion!

As a series featuring a world based upon Greek Mythology, it's no surprise that figures from the myths show up... just not in the way you'd expect. In the first game, Thanatos is referred to as "Tanatos" in English, and is seemingly nothing more than a snake who jumped off Medusa's head. Pandora is an evil blob who is also the Goddess of Disaster and Calamity instead of a Human Woman, Hewdraw, the Hydra analogue has but one head, Twinbellows, the Cerberus analogue has just two, and is never seen directly guarding the Underworld, and so on. In the sequel this is further messed around with. Tanatos goes by his proper name, and is pronounced as the God of Death... with his misnaming being acknowledged and Played for Laughs, Pandora gets her Human Form back but is still the Goddess of Calamity, Hewdraw gets two more heads, but with their regeneration inverted (each head can grow a new body, and not one body re growing new heads) and Twinbellows is still not encountered in the Underworld. Overall they still aren't fully accurate equivalents.

  • The story of the "Iron Men" begins with an average Japanese Salaryman and his girlfriend. One day, the unassuming businessman was driving home with his girlfriend until they accidentally ran over a pedestrian. This pedestrian, however, was the man known as "the Metal Fetishist" so called for his unusual fixation on metal applied to his body. The couple, unaware of this, believed the man dead, hid his body, and tried to move past their dark deed. But the Salaryman had received a curse or perhaps gift from the Fetishist. The man's body slowly began taking on the properties of metal, his mind plagued with horrific visions of a cybernetic nightmare. Eventually the Salaryman's transformation led to his girlfriend's death, and the Metal madman himself arrived to complete the transformation as part of his mad desire to share his agony with his victim. The two engaged in a brutal battle of metal and flesh, eventually combining into a monstrosity that sought to rust away the world with their newfound "love".
  • At least that's how one version of the story goes. Another account tells of a salaryman named Tomoo, who led an ordinary life with a loving wife and child, but had no memory of his past. That life was shattered when Yatsu, AKA the Metal Fetishist, targeted him for his depraved plans. Tomoo's young son was murdered, and he plunged into despair, awakening the metal-morphing powers he shared with Yatsu-actually his brother. Tomoo went on a brutal rampage against Yatsu's cult to save his wife, and soon discovered the truth of his past. The boys' father was a metal molding maniac as well, experimenting on his children to create human weapons. With this awful revelation, Tomoo succumbed to his brother's urging and evolved into a massive, tank like juggernaut. Amid the destruction however, it seems Tomoo found peace, as he apparently shifted back to human form with his wife and revived son.
    • Some time later Yatsu resurfaced, this time targeting another Cyborg named Anthony. Yatsu threatened Anthony's son to control him as a new weapon. But the super Cyborg fought the Metal Fetishist and ultimately averted suffering Tomoo's fate, and Yatsu was absorbed by Anthony's own power, gone for good...at least for now.
  • Eventually the Salaryman(Tomoo) was welcomed into the Pantheon gates. He hoped to find a nice place to settle down and put his metal nightmare behind him. Unfortunately there was a reason he was there, and the other inductee surfaced shortly after. Initially disoriented, the Metal Fetishist soon set to work seeking new metal to absorb and fuse with for power and pleasure. Tomoo was filled with terror as he realized his brother was coming for him. Yatsu seeks to expand his love of chaos and transform the Pantheon into his twisted view of beauty, and he wants to be one with Tomoo to do it.
  • Applies to Both:
    • Despite everything, neither will say they hate the other(although neither are mentally sound). The Salaryman/Tomoo on some level feels guilty for indirectly causing his enemy's transformation, as in one timeline he left Yatsu for dead and in another his murder of their parents inspired the boy with a love of devastation. The Metal Fetishist/Yatsu claims their "love" transcends mortal flesh and hopes that someday Tomoo will come to see his point of view. Nobody sane buys that though.
    • Although they outwardly appear to human, both Yatsu and Tomoo will morph into horrifying machine monsters under stress, leaving unpredictable devastation where they go. Tomoo has tried to seek help for this, leading to him joining a "support group" of sorts with similar individuals like Dr. Bruce Banner and the Lycanthrope Larry Talbot. Banner knows well the trauma of being a walking weapon, and he's shared Tomoo some techniques to tame his anger. Yatsu, meanwhile, seeks to unleash the full extent of his power and enjoys the company of like-minded monsters, especially of the mechanical variety. One such is the Android psychopath Ultron, whose desire to replace humanity with cybernetic extensions of himself earned him the Metal Fetishist's respect. By chance, one of Tomoo's circle is Dr. Hank Pym, Ultron's creator. Pym is as ashamed of his monstrous son as Tomoo is his brother. Both agree their counterparts represent the worst impulses of themselves, and that it's their responsibility to destroy them.
    • A similar duo is the psychic "Scanner" terrorist Darryl Revok and his brother Cameron Vale. Despite his lack of social skills, Vale was interested in Tomoo's condition and believes he's found another ally. Revok, on the other hand, has decided that both Metal men are too dangerous and psychotic to be controlled. He's able to effectively strike Yatsu mentally, but the maniac's biomechanical nature allows him to bounce back quickly. Revok is still planning to destroy the metal monster, and Yatsu sneers at his arrogance.
    • Neither of them are friends to the mysterious mage called "the Enchantress". Tomoo in his case considers her no better then the Metal Fetishist, as she transforms people in karmic ways while also affecting innocent bystanders. Yatsu on the other hand is annoyed by her self-righteousness, as he is quite proudly open about being a destruction loving force of evil. The Enchantress doesn't view them worth her time though, as they're already in frequent psychological and physical agony.
    • If there's one ideal they share, it's that they both loathe abusive parents, especially since in one timeline their father was a selfish monster who turned them into what they are. While Yatsu isn't much better than his dad, he still sees his father in people like Ozai and seeks to destroy everything he built. Tomoo especially has it in for men like Gendo Ikari and Shou Tucker, who used their own children for their own selfish experiments, which in the case of Ikari had truly apocalyptic results. Dr. Gero stands out as the most similar, as while he did care for his son, he still created killing machines both organic and mechanical. Further unnerving Tomoo is that Gero has expressed interest in the two, believing he may have a better chance of studying and harnessing their powers.
    • The SCP Foundation keeps a close watch on the two as they specialize in containing anomalous and especially dangerous beings and phenomena. Tomoo is willing to cooperate if it means helping control his abilities, but Yatsu has given them more trouble. Even worse, he shows a fascination with the various monsters the Foundation contains. Of particular interest is SCP 217, the Clockwork Virus. Yatsu sees it as a lifeform akin to himself and seeks to join it in reformatting the Earth. Thankfully, he's been held at bay for now.
  • Applies To Tomoo:
Freddy: Aw, you're no fun. But your friend? He seems like my kind of guy.
    • In terms of being an unassuming office guy transformed into a strange creature, Gregor Samsa can relate to Tomoo's plight. He's also as devoted to his family as his cyborg counterpart, though perhaps not to the extent Tomoo gets when you threaten his wife and son. Despite Samsa's own horrible situation, Tomoo would say Gregor's father was still better than his own, as at least he didn't intentionally mutate his children.
  • Applies to Yatsu:
    • He's considered an insane abomination even among other world conquerors, if only that his insanity and dangerous powers make him too unpredictable. Besides Ultron, however, a few admire his monstrous ambition. Cell, the aformentioned Dr. Gero's deadliest creation, is on a journey to perfect himself and sees Yatsu's mission of spreading "the beauty of destruction" as similar. The cyborg Kaiju Gigan is generally a weapon for whoever points him somewhere, but Yatsu's technopathy lets him to communicate with the beast on more even footing, promising him new upgrades and places to destroy. Hank Henshaw, the hopelessly misanthropic Cyborg Superman, joins with Yatsu in the belief a fellow cybernetic entity can help bring an end to his tortured existence and destroy the world that spawned them. He's also caught the attention of SKYNET, who's thrilled at the prospect of creating man-machine hybrid Terminators with the Fetishist's unique powers. The evil AI assigned the shape-shifting T-1000 as a diplomat. A similarly sociopathic machine called AM(Allied Mastercomputer) has admitted it's impressed that a young human could transcend into a being that rivals itself in power and malice. Yatsu has experience as a cult leader, and preaches a new world of machines where organics are slaves and fuel, every evil automaton's dream.
    • One group that shares his beliefs is the bionically enhanced race known as the Cybermen. The Cybermen have battled to create a technological dystopia across different timelines, and Yatsu has offered to aid them in their crusade. Although he can't assume command from the Cyber Controller, Yatsu is happy to provide new hosts to the cyberization process. Another race, the similarly cybernetic Borg, isn't happy with Yatsu's ambitious, wild card personality. The Collective has decided to exterminate his individuality, a feat easier said than done, and Yatsu has vowed to have the collective answer to him.
    • Because of his metal-manipulating abilities, any descent person with this power deems him a disgusting monstrosity. Even mutant revolutionary Magneto, who generally dislikes humanity, believes Yatsu is a rabid dog who needs to be put down, much to the latter's disappointment, as he thinks Magneto could've been a great partner. Toph Bei Fong, hailing from a world where people can manipulate elements, has stated he's an insult to Benders everywhere. None of this really bothers the Metal Fetishist, as he thinks sooner or later, they'll all be absorbed into his glorious metal and succumb to his twisted vision.
    • Unsurprisingly, most heroes and villains who don't believe in organic subjugation are also very much opposed to the cyborg's insanity. Pamela Isley is the inverse of Yatsu, a former human mutant with godlike power over plants, but even she recognizes that he's a worse monster than her. Gorilla Grodd is a megalomaniacal beast but he still has the sense to see the Metal monster as a threat to all apekind. Cyborg/Victor Stone is a man who grapples with his human and robotic halves. Yatsu attempted to corrupt his cybernetics, but Victor retaliated with a special anti virus he designed.

[up] What's funny is that the first words Luz says after her and Amity's first on the lips kiss is "crikey", and we earlier saw that Camila gets teary eyed watching nature and animal documentaries with Luz and Vee, so she's probably a fan of Irwin's. Also what hall is the other person in?

[up][up][up] there are a huge number of guys in the pantheon who'd make Eda's shitlist. Judge Frollo and Father Mozgus, for being monstrous hypocritical inquisitioners. Gendo Ikari, Bondrewd, and Shou Tucker for putting their work before their children in the worst way possible. Griffith for...well, being Griffith. Also appropriating majestic bird imagery for his ego.

Also anybody else realize Eda is a Virtuous Character Copy of the Other Mother/Beldam? I'd imagine Eda would not like that woman.

In terms of allies, Mei lee(Turning Red) is also a shapeshifter who initially thought her transformation a curse, while Larry Talbot is probably the most famous lycanthrope ever. Guts would also work as an ally as he's a pretty chill guy when he's not overcome by murderous rage.

For Hooty, I can imagine him being a comedic foil for Constance the Monster House, as he's a friendly house who's nice to everyone while she freaking eats children.

And not to shill characters I ascended recently, but poor Tim Barnett also suffers from a magical curse on account of being trapped as a tree.

First draft of Futurama's Neptune. What characters have also dealt with the eighth planet?

Neptune, Divine Gas Giant Treated Like It Has A Solid Surface

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/neptune_76.png
Neptune as it appears in the setting of Futurama
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/neptune_voyager2_color_calibrated_3.png
True color image of the planet Neptune as taken by Voyager 2 during its flyby of the planet in 1989...aka what it actually looks like
  • Hall: Astronomical Bodies (House of Dominions Expansion)
  • Description
    • In Futurama: A bluish planet with an Arctic tundra and solid ground, harsh but livable
    • In real life: A bluish "ice giant" (gas giant with a large icy interior) with storms raging up to twice the speed of soundnote
  • Symbol: Robot Santa's hat over a trident
  • Alignment: True Neutral for most of the planet; Lawful Evil for its polar region
  • Portfolio: Strolling on Jupiter, Home To Robot Santa's Workshop And The Neptunians, Grim Up North IN SPACE!!
  • Domains: Tundras, Santa Claus, Neptunian aliens, Astronomical Bodies, Yetis
  • Sacred to: Robot Santa Claus, Michiru Kaioh/Sailor Neptune
  • Unholy to: Anyone Robot Santa declares naughty (so almost everyone here and almost everyone else) (explicit to the Arctic region)
  • Barred entry: The Iris
  • The eighth planet in the Sol System is Neptune, discovered by Earthlings in the 1840s. A cool, bluish planet, it is home to the Neptunians, four-armed humanoids with piggish noses and being famed for their cooking. In the 29th century Robot Santa Claus was made and moved to its North Pole, where he set up his Death Fortress and a toy shop that is basically never used since virtually everyone is branded naughty. It has a primarily arctic environment, but since what's been seen on the surface is the polar region that might just be that area. It has a number of moons, the biggest of which is Triton. Triton has its own fauna, and both bodies are home to yetis.
  • The ascension of Neptune was somewhat unique amongst its fellow Sol System planets, in that rather than being the "real" version of the planet that acts as a Composite Character, it was explicitly the version from Futurama. And there's a good reason why; Neptune in general didn't really have enough to get a place in the Dominions Expansion, and Futurama's Neptune had something specific going for it; Strolling on Jupiter. In real life, Neptune is what's known as an ice giant and thus has no solid surface. Its also far colder, with a "surface" temperature under -200 degrees Celsius. Its stormy winds can reach over 2000 km/h and the only remotely Earth-like thing about it is the gravity (just a bit more). There's been no evidence Futurama's Neptune was ever terraformed, and Farnsworth thinks that it's simply because "people of the Stupid Ages didn't have enough info". That said, a portal occasionally shows up in this Neptune's orbit that lets people see other, more accurate Neptunes in the multiverse.
  • The fact it has a solid surface and is habitable is something that Wonder Woman remembers, way back in the day, when she dealt with some invaders from there and eventually helped overthrow their dictator. She's not the only person who recalls a gas giant being a lot less gassy, and not just (a) Neptune. John Carter has visited Jupiter in the unfinished book Skeleton Men of Jupiter which had forests and water, and is inhabited by two sentient races. Porky Pig and Sylvester were once abducted by aliens from Jupiter and ended up on the body no worse for wear. Never mind that if they were solid planets, they'd have a lot more mass and consequentially more severe gravity. This all said, one mortal actually proposed a solid concept for how the real Neptune could be colonized. It still wouldn't fit the experiences of these deities, mind you.
  • Significantly increased habitability asides, Futurama's Neptune is not a popular place to visit. The reason for this is down to Robot Santa Claus, who rules as a tyrant over the Neptunians in the Arctic. They look like Christmas Elves yes, but that is more down to them being malnourished because Robot Santa doesn't feed them enough. Unless it's X-Mas he almost never leaves, and if anyone finds themselves in his territory should prepare for some murder and merry mayhem. His Death Fortress was raided by the original, organic Santa and Nicholas St North in order to depose his rule, but the collateral damage was becoming too much. Instead, an agreement was made; Robot Santa would not unduly try to kill, main, or injure visitors to the Neptunian polar region and double the portions of his "elves", in exchange for having their promise they will protect his planet from interlopers. Robot Santa reluctantly agreed to this...however he is still conniving in stretching the "unduly" part to his favor without breaking the agreement.
  • Winterbolt and SCP-4666 aspire to conquer Neptune for themselves...well, mainly Winterbolt. The Yule Man was content with his morbid actions in Earth's Arctic regions and went alongside the former's plan more to try something fresh with the Neptunians, and decided to start by taking over the relatively obscure Neptunian South Pole. Even Robot Santa was shocked to see the results of a Weissnacht, though that might just be because he doesn't list his planet's residents into the naughty/nice lists. In order to test the other Santa would live up to their agreement, he called them up to deal with his problem before they started spreading across the rest of the planet, while he watched with a bunch of X-Mas cookies in hand. To those outside his purview, Robot Santa has pushed the Neptunian politicians to make more weapons to protect their homeworld. After all, doing so helps Robot Santa's weapons factories and protects his planet.
  • The planet is named after the Roman god Neptune, aka Poseidon. He had initially considered claiming the planet, mainly in the name of flexing his ego, but with how inhospitable the actual Neptune was he didn't feel like it. However Futurama's Neptune is something he could try to claim since it does have liquid water, if often covered by ice...it's still not something he's all too interested in. Since his programming doesn't account for gods on the naughty or nice spectrum (possibly relating to his friendship with the Chanukah Zombie) Robot Santa isn't gonna do anything in response but he is watching him in case Poseidon pulls something. With the original Neptune absent, Sailor Neptune doesn't have as much authority or connection over Futurama's, but she's still considered a guardian of the planet. It's for this reason she's one of the very few people on Robot Santa's nice list.
  • Outside of the Neptunian Arctic, the Neptunians are a strong and relatively tall species who are well-known for their cooking. One of the best chefs on Earth is a Neptunian called Elzar. A staple of their dishes is the Neptunian space slug, more specifically the greenish-yellow one. Don't try the purple one though, since they cause diarrhea. Sometimes they can be domesticated. As a defensive maneuver, they can inflate themselves to a large size, and like Earth slug they shrivel up with salt. So long as you don't use too much salt they make a nice staple food, so mortal residents have been selling these space slugs to the House of Food. Star Wars deities have noticed they seem to be based off the Gormaanda. Neptunians are a common immigrant on Earth and they usually make their living in the service sector. There's a place called Little Neptune in New New York if you want a microcosm of their culture.
  • Many have wanted to Take Over the World. Some have wanted to take over the moon, or Mars. But conquering Neptune? It's practically never heard. Even Robot Santa is only ruler of the Arctic region of Neptune. Aphoom-Zhah did, however. Way back when Neptune was known as Yaksh it had visited and it wishes to take Neptune for itself, claiming it to be its right. Never mind this was a different Neptune. Despite being a Great Old One, it is still seen as less of a threat to the planet than the Iris is. The Iris had at some point mutated its Neptune into something unrecognizable. When it plans to invades the Solar System of the 31st century, this Neptune is expected to be its first target. If anything could unite all the Neptunians and those who immigrated there, it would be in opposition to this Eldritch Abomination.

[up]Majin Buu is infamous for successfully blowing up the Earth, as well as entire galaxies worth of planets, so Neptune having an actual surface would just make it even easier for Buu to nuke it out of existence.

The Collector is a young and extremely active child who's ludicrously broken Reality Warper powers allows them to casually flick celestial bodies around like pinballs or moving a slider on a touch screen, among other things.

Anyone have further interactions for The Residents of The Owl House and Camila?

Edit: Also, one other thing RJ! I recall that Timmy Turner once made a wish for every day to be Christmas and in his universe, Jupiter has a solid surface.

How does this look?

Monsignor Ronald Arbuthnott Knox, God of Fair Play Mysteries(Archbishop Knox)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ronald_knox.jpg

  • Borderline Demigod, Unknown Rank as a Witch Hunter
  • Symbol: The Knox Bible
  • Alignment: Neutral Good

  • Portfolio: From Anglican to Catholic Priest, disliked the ambivalence of the Anglican Church which led to to him getting cut out of his father's will, Vow of Celibacy, Deadpan Snarker, used Scholarships to make his way in Oxford, Satirized both religious and secular matters

  • Herald: His "daughter" Dlanor A. Knox
  • Allies: God(Bruce Almighty), God (God, the Devil and Bob), Battler Ushiromiya, Sherlock Holmes, Jeanne D'Arc, Saint George and Martha, Conan Edogawa, John Watson, Hercule Poirot, Columbo, Wright Anything Agency

  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Luz Noceda and Amity Blight

  • Enemies: Dis, The Godhand, Griffith, Emperor Belos, YHVH, Claude Frollo, Kirei Kotomine, The God-Emperor of Mankind, William Stryker

  • Mystery stories distinguish themselves from the thriller and horror genres not by simply having mystery, but by having that mystery being "fair": a logical result of the story's information, perhaps even solvable before the grand reveal. However, things were not always this way. Mystery stories were originally written to dangle a mystery in front of the reader and then show off the intelligence of detectives through contrived jumps in reason and observation. But in the Golden Age of Mystery, the genre came into its own by bringing readers into the interactive detective experience. The man who codified this age of Fair Mysteries was not a critic but the writer and Catholic Priest Ronald Knox.
    • Born in 1888 to the future Bishop of Manchester, Knox gained the respect of both peers and professors at Oxford, but what he really wanted to do was become a priest. Taking a vow of celibacy at 17, he was ordained as an Anglican priest and became the chaplain of Trinity College. Only 5 years later he resigned as an Anglican priest and became a Catholic Priest, to the great displeasure of his father, the Anglican Bishop of Manchester. From then on he became a highly respected priest, theologian, and Catholic apologist, with such feats as creating his own translation of the Bible and being denoted as a Protonotary apostolic by Pope Pius XII. However, he is also known for his work in analyzing and codifying the mystery genre through his mystery stories and the creation of the Knox's Decalogue.

  • No one knows how or when Ronald Knox ascended, but the first time he was seen was when a man with fatal injuries entered a church late at night. While the chapel was supposed to be empty when the man began his confession someone on the other side of the confession box replied to him. It was later discovered that this mysterious figure was none other than Knox, who believed that the last thing to be done for a dying man was to "Hear his confession and give him absolution".

  • As a theologian, Knox is interested in discovering the nature and thinking of god. Unfortunately, in the Pantheon there are seemingly multiple versions of God, so he has his work cut out for him. So far, Knox has used this incredible opportunity to ask the God who is friends with Bob and the God who talked to Bruce about their jobs and their views on various subjects, but hasn't gotten any substantive answers.
    • Knox opposes the forces of evil, especially those with demonic natures as part of being a good Christian. He is especially concerned about Dis, who is apparently the source of the rest of the Satans in the Pantheon, and the Godhand, who operate in a world where they are not balanced out by good counterparts. Knox has tried warning others about Griffith's deceptive nature through his writings, but the forces of evil are very good at creating counternarratives to diminish the impact.

  • While he is a Catholic priest, Knox gets along perfectly with other kinds of Christians in the Pantheon as well as those of other regions. However, he seems to get into debates about religion very often, where his experience as a theologian makes him formidable. Deities now joke that "when Ronald starts debating religion, it's time to leave the event". In the Pantheon, he takes the position of Elysium Academy's head chaplain and as a theology teacher. Due to the diverse religious landscape of the Pantheon, this position has forced him to learn about many of the other religions to properly perform his duties. His opinion on these other religions? "They are all very interesting, but none of them match up with the Catholic tradition".
    • Being a Protonotary apostolic technically gives Knox authority below only the pope(citation required). This makes him the highest-ranking Catholic in the Pantheon. Instead of using his rank as a means of influence, he instead uses his charisma to smooth over disagreements between his fellow clergy and coordinate their efforts, becoming their de facto leader. This is a good change from the general lack of coordination from before his ascension, although he is often exasperated and frustrated by Alexander Anderson's enthusiasm for violence or Gaterbelt's inappropriate love for children due to the work of keeping them in line.
    • Of course, Knox loathes completely evil clergy who sully both God and Church. Chief among these are Claude Frollo(who was also the Archdeacon in the Book), who set Paris aflame due to his hypocritical lust, and Kirei Kotomine for kidnapping children to provide Gilgamesh with magical energy and plotting to bring about All the World's Evil. However, he does acknowledge that both men had reasons for what they did, albeit twisted ones, and prays that god will forgive their sins. However, the Protestant William Stryker has no excuse to be so hateful towards mutants, and knox does his best to denounce the hateful preacher at every turn.
    • Outside of the church, Knox is also grateful to meet other Christian figures such as the Saints in the Pantheon. He especially admires Jeanne D'Arc for her ability to inspire hope in others. Sometimes, Knox will even help her through her writing classes, in which she has shown amazing progress. Through their newfound friendship, Ronald also learned about YHVH, the false god who tried bringing the Maiden of Orleans over to his side for the cause of a corrupted law. Knox has vowed to use his influence to help steer people away from these evil versions of the Abrahamic god.
    • Those who turned away from the church for both understandable and not understandable reasons

  • While he died of cancer at the age of 69 in Real Life, in the universe of Umineko: When They Cry, the circumstances of his death are much more mysterious. In this universe, he was the Head Inquisitor of the Great Court of Heaven who created Knox's decalogue as weapons to combat witches(the sources of mystery), but was interrogated and executed by his daughter Dlanor A. Knox. For this reason, Dlanor appears as Ronald's herald whenever she a break away from her busy job, and the two seem to have a healthy relationship as father and daughter. It is speculated that Dlanor is either adopted given how the two look so different or that Dlanor is the embodiment of the Decalogue, which makes Knox her father because he "created" her. When asked about his past as a witch hunter, the priest simply says that he is retired and will leave the work fighting the supernatural to future generations. In fact, this aspect of his past is so murky that no one knows how powerful he would be if he used his inquisitor powers, nor would they want to know.
    • However, a stroke of fate revealed just a bit of that unknown power. When Emperor Belos was pursuing Sarah Spellman for unknown reasons, the young witch was saved by the timely intervention of a holy wedge that pierced Belos's arm, which subsequently exploded. He was forced to flee, but not before confronting the priest.
Knox: I've heard that the Puritans were tough on themselves, but I guess the history books were wrong. After all, they seem to be pretty loose on fratricide.
Emperor Belos: How did you...never mind that, why is a man of the cloth siding with an unholy witch?
Knox: Well, I don't think you could understand a full Thesis so let me just say this: God protects all people.

  • Although Dlanor has a reputation of being a ruthless judge, she's actually quite reasonable when it comes to witches and demons, able to interact with them peacefully with no issues and even volunteered to help defend the Golden Land against Bernkastel's forces for no reason other her own sense of justice. Whether this attitude came from Ronald or she influenced him towards her views is unknown, but the two are generally of the same mind that extremists like Belos bring shame to the name of Christ.
    • Dlanor has also told Knox about her Worthy Opponent Battler Ushiromiya, a mystery who fought to preserve his family's dignity even with the odds against him. The two often swap reading recommendations and are considering forming a fan club for mystery story fans. Knox doesn't actively seek to be friendly with Battler's supernatural allies, but he has no objection to them.

  • Outside of Christianity, Knox's crowning achievement was Knox's decalogue, a set of 10 rules to be used for writing mystery stories. While he acknowledges that the set is somewhat outdated, these rules represented a sea change in the mystery genre away from unsolvable mysteries towards "fairness". As a witch-hunter, these rules serve as powerful Anti-Magic tools that can enforce strong metafictional constraints. The decalogue can be found here.
    • Of all mystery stories, Knox's favorites are the ones of Sherlock Holmes, although this did not save Holmes from being made fun of in "The Adventure of the First Class Carriage". In fact, Knox is an early player of The Sherlockian game, which aims to create a full biography of Holmes and Watson by combining the original stories and real-life history. In fact, efforts like these might be why Holmes and Watson are prevalent in so many universes. When their schedules aligned and Knox was finally able to meet the Great Detective in person, he was uncharacteristically giddy, and he happened to walk away from the occasion with a signed copy of A Study in Scarlet and an enormous smile. Holmes and Watson are slightly confused as to why a catholic priest is so engaged with their mystery stories, but they don't give it much mind.
    • Besides Holmes and Watson, Knox has also met other famous detectives such as Hercule Poirot and Conan Edogawa. Knox is impressed at how Conan seems to solve so many cases without aging even a little bit, and prays that he can take down the Black organization one day. He thinks that Knox is an acceptable facsimile of Sherlock Holmes, but is unsure what to think about him killing the culprit in his last case. When it comes to more unconventional detectives, Knox is impressed by Lieutenant Columbo's ability to outsmart even the smartest culprits and untangle the most airtight cases.
    • Of course, one doesn't have to be employed as a detective in order to be a detective in a narrative sense. Knox is surprised that the Wright Detective Agency can even uncver so much information in the middle of the trial, especially since Pheonix has also tackled the English legal system. On the other hand, he wonders what that means for the competence of the police in their world.
    • The most controversial of the decalogue are Knox's 2nd and 5th, albeit for different reasons. Knox acknowledges that the 2nd("All supernatural or preternatural agencies are ruled out as a matter of course") was written in an age where magic was a way to create or solve problems without rhyme or reason, and that magic systems with well-established and consistent rules can have their place in mysteries. More troublesome is Knox's 5th: "No Chinaman must figure in the story". This was not a rule to exclude Chinese people from mystery stories, but instead a suggestion to avoid mystery stories that leaned upon cultural and racial stereotypes in lieu of substantive writing. However, Knox still agrees that this and some of the other commandments need tweaking, and has promised to work on it to incorporate the changing field of the mystery genre. Perhaps after he is done, Dlanor can start growing again.

  • One of the less well-known aspects of Knox's life is that he served in British intelligence during World War 1. The ascended forces of the Entente have asked if he wants to rejoin the fight against the German empire, but Knox has declined, stating that he finds his work as a priest to be more effective in the Pantheon, but he will sometimes provide chaplain services for the soldiers.

  • After the atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Knox wrote God and the Atom about the moral quandries arising from the development of nuclear weapons. As he concluded "perhaps we could not use them?", Knox is against the proliferation and escalation of nuclear warfare or other WM Ds. It is for this reason that he is asking the Court of Gods to create rules against the use of overly devastating weapons in warfare.

  • When he's not giving sermons or reading mystery novels, Knox loves to have a little bit of fun, and his definition of fun is making satires and hoaxes like he did in life. One time, he wrote against The God-Emperor of Mankind's attempt to gain greater influence over the GUAG by arguing in Switean manner that true "supporters of Humanity" should do their best to eliminate human zygotes and embryos, which "neither look nor speak like humans, and are therefore actually xenos". Needless to say, he was blacklisted from a lot of events sponsored by the Imperium from then on. In another incident, he redid his "Broadcasting from the Barracades" stunt, but instead created an entire pre-recorded live stream that showed the Pantheon being overtaken by a "revolution of disenchanted middle managers" in order to teach the deities of the Pantheon to not believe everything they see online.

  • During the height of France's Reign of terror, there was a man set to be executed in front of a crowd. When the executioner did not come, everyone still wanted the man dead, but none wanted to actually perform the deed. However, one man in the crowd, urged by his laboring wife, volunteered to do the grisly deed. At that same moment, the wife gave birth to Marguerite Breuilh. Born under the guillotine, Marie was mute for ten years, until she suddenly started singing about filling guillotines with blood, as well as manifesting a curse that decapitated all who touched her. Her father abandoned the family, her mother went insane, and she was executed as a witch via the same guillotine that she had been born under 17 years ago. But death would not be the end, as her powerful soul ascended to become a Godou god, and she became stranded in her realm, the Twilight Beach, outside of time for all eternity.
    • It was at this time that Mercurius, going by the name of Count Calistrogo, found Marie in the Twilight Beach and became convinced that she was the key for him to die. In order to ascend her as a true Hadou God, he created his greatest opera, a story involving the fight between the Longinus Dresden Orden against Ren Fuji and his friends. It worked, as thanks to her new experiences and bond with Ren she became the Fifth God to take the throne and created an era of unprecedented prosperity and happiness for the throne system through her system of coexistence and reincarnation.
    • However, good things do not last forever. Her world of affirming people's desires allowed Hajun to rise in power, convinced that it was the twilight's embrace that was infringing on his solitude. While Mercurius was able to start again and prevent Hajun's rise in a different scenario, this version of Marie died to Hajun and became another sacrifice for the "Pantheon" plan.

  • Marie once served as a herald to both Mercuruius and Ren, but this obviously led the two to start arguing who should have her more often. In order to defuse the conflict, Marie moved herself and The Twilight Beach to an entirely new temple and applied to become the Goddess of Kill exclusivity, representing the power of her Guillotine Curse. This definitely solved the former issue, but now when Ren and Mercurius visit at the same time a fight always seems to break out.

  • Naturally, Marie is the closest to Ren Fujii. It's not technically confirmed if the two are in a relationship, but it's pretty obvious that something is going on. If someone wants to try to get Ren to do something, the wise choice is often not to ask him directly but to try to convince Marie. There's also the matter of Mercurius, who is also incredibly devoted to Marie, although probably not in the romantic sense. Marie trusts Calostrogo/Mercurius, but also questions whether his plan to ascend her was too complicated and dangerous. While one would think that Marie would oppose the LDO members in the Pantheon, but she doesn't: she's seen their reincarnations and knows that they have the potential to be better people; she just hopes that they don't do worse things in the Pantheon. When it comes to her killer Hajun, Marie isn't the least bit hateful: she instead pities his nature, and hopes that he can find at least a little bit of peace in the Pantheon. Marie isn't very familiar with the other hadou gods, but knows that Nerose Satanael, Mithra, and Magasarion created worlds of suffering and oppression, and so tries to keep them from doing anything drastic that might affect the Pantheon or even the multiverse beyond.

  • While Ren and Shirou Emiya are rivals, Marie gets along well with her fellow blond-haired visual novel heroine Saber. It helps that they both love to eat food. It's said that when the two enter the same establishment at the same time, an alarm is sounded in the kitchen.

  • As a mortal who became a multiversal goddess that granted souls salvation by rewriting the laws of reality, Marie is often compared to the Goddess of Hope herself, Madoka Kamane. However, due to a stroke of fate, they had never met until Madoka's powers were stolen during the Rebellion. Thanks to their similar backgrounds and personalities the two are like peas in a pod: Marie hopes that she can help Madoka avoid her bad ending and make up with Homura, and Madoka is glad to have another friend that sees her as an equal and not an idol. Thanks to their friendship, Madoka has introduced Marie to more modern conveniences like video games and foreign teas, which Marie greatly appreciates. While Rinne Tensei is not a replacement for the Law of Cycles, Marie's presence makes the other Magical girls of the sisterhood feel relieved that divine power is still on their side.
    • The comparison between Marie and Madoka has led to homucifer supporters to come up with an interesting argument known as the "Hajun Hypothesis". The argument goes that if Homura did not take Madoka's powers, her position as goddess would have made her a target for unknown third parties (like how Hajun emerged). Critics have pointed out that not having god powers makes her more vulnerable to these threats, so the effort is useless at least. Marie has yet to comment on this matter.

  • Why did Mercurius think that Marie was the only one able to kill him? It all has to do with her Guillotine curse, which decapitates those who touch her (unless it is Ren or someone close to him). This curse bypasses regenerative abilities to kill the target, and can only be beaten by either having exponentially more power or an ability that specifically allows the user to survive death. She doesn't have enough power at the moment to kill deities like Aldia or SCP 682, but it's still incredibly strong. The Death Seekers of the Pantheon seek her out so that she can end her misery. While she can't really do anything for ascended deities besides consoling them, she does try to help unfortunate mortal souls reincarnate into a better position if possible.
    • Her curse also makes her a sort of counterpart to SCP-049, who can also kill at a touch. One time, he tried to kill her her in order to "cure" her, but when she was touched it was the doctor's head that fell off instead.

  • As one of the more benevolent Hadou Gods and an ally of the side of Good, Marie became interested in Cosmos, the current leader of the GUAG. Marie is impressed at how the goddess is able to get so many different heroes from different worlds and walks of life to work together and pledged her assistance if it was needed. Cosmos appreciates the gesture, and the two have talked for long periods of time at Cosmos's tea parties. One thing that struck Marie's interest about Cosmos's story was how Shinryu set up the conflict between her and Chaos in order to gain strength. Marie wonders [[Main/Foreshadowing if there is also someone behind the throne system setting up the different Hadou Gods]].

  • As an indirect victim of the Reign of Terror, Marie is interested in meeting with other French deities, especially those who lived during the time of the first French Revolution. She is especially surprised that Queen Marie Antoinette is in the Pantheon, and pities her for how the public distorted her image due to their hatred for the monarchy. Charles Henri-Sanson is interested in Guillotine Curse and connection to Margueritte-Bois de Justice, but he understands that she allows Ren to use in that way and mostly leaves her be. Marie has befriended both Jeanne the Witch and Jeanne D'Arc, who were also french women killed for accusations of witchcraft with varying levels of truth.

  • Her Law, Rinne Tensei, has two main precepts: Allowing people to reincarnate in order to have another chance at fulfilling their desires, and allowing multiple Hadou Gods to exist at the same time. This makes her the good counterpart to Chakravartin: while the Golden seeks to trap souls into the cycle of Samsara in order to control them, Marie created reincarnation as a way to give people second chances and make their dreams come true. For the most part it worked as discrimination between types of people decreased and souls grew and matured. In general, Rinne-Tensei is seen as a middle point between pure adherence to the status quo and trying to force a utopia, as it does not affect the course of mortal life but instead the cosmic stakes over doing good and evil. However, that does not mean that she has critics: Cassius Ballad thinks that Marie is somehow responsible for the constant death and reincarnation of his lover Yuel, and wants to kill her like he did [[spoiler: Etro, although it would be much harder. Then there is the matter of Janemba, a demon formed from the evil accumulated in the soul-cleansing machine of the Dragon Ball universe's hell. Marie sees that her system isn't perfect, and is coming up with ways to reduce its drawbacks. When it comes to the second property, her law makes her sort of the The Heart of the Hadou gods, and she tries her best to resolve conflicts and reduce collateral damage. But when it comes to individuals as crazy and powerful as them, it's an uphill battle.

  • While she has gained a lot of self-awareness and social skills from when she was singing about guillotines, she still remembers how the people around her shunned her due to fear and hatred. For that reason, she is sympathetic to people whose innocent but creepy traits have made them pariahs. One example is Erma Williams, a kind ghost girl who still creeps people out without meaning to. Marie has become good friends with the girl, and thinks that she has the potential to do a lot of good when she grows up.

  • When she was a Godou/Transcendence God, the Twilight Beach was her own personal domain that exists outside of space and time. Although it's unknown whether she created it, she is the eternal master of the space. While she prefers to spend her time with others, she has often found that multiversal travelers like SCP-507 end up there and sometimes even require help to get out. After Mercurius mentioned the Milliways restaurant, Marie had the idea to possibly renovate the etherial space into a rest stop for travellers. She is currently looking for partners and contractors.

  • Now that she has a lot of free time in the Pantheon, Marie has been thinking about her reign on the throne and what she could have done differently(a rarity for Hadou Gods). Although it would be against her nature to force Hajun to bend to her will, she acknowledges that she could have been assertive instead of leaving everything to her guardians. Therefore, she has resolved to learn how to fight so she can stand up for herself without Ren having to defend her all the time or going against her law/nature. note It was a trouble learning techniques that didn't immediately invoke the Guillotine Curse, but a goddess with her reputation had no trouble finding teachers:
    • After hearing about how the conflict between the Light Side and Dark Side was similar to the world of the First Throne, Marie approached Obi-Wan Kenobi in hopes of learning how to use a lightsaber, which would still be less lethal than normal contact. While Marie wasn't suited to using lightsabers, she was still able tp pick up a bit of knowledge about Obi-Wan's defensive strategy of outlasting the opponent to expose mistakes.
    • Next was the waterbender Katara, who focuses on redirecting her opponent's energy back at them. Marie doesn't have the talent to waterbend nor manipulate any elemental powers, but the idea of manipulating energy stuck in her mind.
    • During a party, Marie happened to meet Whis, an angel who is known for teaching Goku and Vegeta godly techniques. Marie asked Whis to train her in ways to defend herself whenever he had free time, and he agreed if Marie cooked something for him (and also because Zeno though her powers were cool). After Marie managed to figure out how to make a parfait, Whis started giving Marie short classes on martial arts. Due to her lack of experience progress is slow, it is consistent and Marie has now learned to do things like anticipate enemy strikes and strategically summon her Kumigara for attacks. Whis thinks that she may also have the potential to learn Autonomous Ultra Instinct, though only as a technique instead of a form like Goku.

[up]Out of curiosity, why spoiler any of that? Isn't the Pantheon inherently All Spoilers Unmarked?

@Radio

For Marie, SCP-049 can kill anyone by just touching them. Shiki Tohno and Ryougi Shiki have the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, which allows them to see lines on people which, if cut, will kill them without fail.

@Forgo

For Camila, Zuko and Orel Puppington are abused kids.

For Eda, maybe mention the theory that she's Stan Pines' ex-girlfriend?

@Forgo: Viktor Adler AKA Master Org is similar to Belos as a human who sold out to evil and even manipulated another race to do his bidding (though Adler planned to wipe out humanity and let Orgs rule rather than wipe the others out) but just like Belos he killed any he felt like killing for failing him.

Also I'd recommend using BeFunky to make a collage that doesn't make King look too big, lol. Just a piece of advice.

[up] Make King look king-sized, you mean.

@ Forgo: Shirley the Medium puts curses on people, usually in retaliation for crossing her. Which usually happens to Eustace Bagge.

Father Elijah planned to use the technologies of the Sierra Madre Casino to kill people throughout the Mojave and enslave the remaining surivivors with much of his wrath being directed towards the New California Republic for preventing him from gaining access to Helios ONE and ARCHIMEDES.

Edit: IIRC I believe he is also homophobic, he did separate his protegee Veronica from Christine back in the day but it's been a long time ago so I can't confirm that.

Moccamori once stole the magic from temples and other Deities to bring back Adlai who promised to bring eternal life to everyone. Part of why she supported it was to see her parents again whom she lost to the Witch Hunts when she was a kid.

Edit: Worth noting that she has some bird association with her: Her weapons are Talons, she rides a Nuuk, and was once transformed into an ugly bird for a little while.

Edit: Also worth noting that she was close to an old woman named Granny Sugar when she still lived in Rubid Village. Even prior to Character Development she was one of the few people Moccamori was unquestionably nice to.

Liz Wilson is a veterinarian. Sei P. Asagiri's mother is a vet and she helped her out when she was younger.
