Aciddrop, Rhodes Island Operator, is a free-spirited skateboard warrior.
Rarity: ★★★★
ID: No. 366
Subclass: Heavyshooter

Skills: Fancy Shot, Trigger Time
Talents: Slideshot Style
Affiliation: Columbia
Race: Liberi
Birthday: August 13
Height: 150cm

"Aciddrop, Operator. This skateboard here is a piece of registered equipment, yeah. If you have any problems, just give me a holler."

A renowned Columbian street skateboarder currently at Rhodes Island for treatment.

  • Animal Motifs: Swallows, as one appears in her Elite 2 artwork.
  • Expy: Seeing as she's a Liberi skateboarder and the wings above her head closely resembles a hawk's wing, she could be one of Tony Hawk.
  • Hidden Buxom: Looking at Aciddrop's Elite 2 artwork closely shows that she's surprisingly quite stacked. Her Afternoon Tea Time skin draws more focus to her bustline.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: She has a remarkable talent for flashy markswomanship, which is manifested in her skills.
    • Fancy Shot is a simple ASPD boost, that gives an extra 20 ASPD for the duration at level 1.
    • Trigger Time gives Aciddrop a 20% boost to her ATK, and allows her to attack two times consecutively.
    • Upon reaching Elite 1, Aciddrop gains the Slideshot Technique talent, which allows her attacks to deal at least 20% of her ATK no matter the enemy's DEF, increasing to 30% if they're in the two frontal grids. At Elite 2, her attacks will deal at least 25% damage in general, but 40% to anyone in the two frontal grids.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: She disrupted an Orignium smuggling ring, and the members of the ring intentionally infected her in revenge.
  • Parents as People: Her files reveal that her parents, being truck drivers, often worked long hours and didn't have time to take care of her, leaving her to fend for herself on the streets.
  • Plucky Girl: Aciddrop is energetic, physically active, and so optimistic that she's mostly annoyed that her Oripathy infection is keeping her from going on a planned trip.
  • Scratch Damage: One of her main traits. Her passive ability puts a hard cap on the minimum damage her attacks can deal, meaning that she'll eventally wear down even the most heavily armored of enemies. Her skills are built to exploit this, focusing on her attack speed rather than raw damage.
  • Stealth Pun: Acid Drop is a skateboarding trick/technique, in which a skateboarder launches off a ramp or a ledge by jumping off said ramp/ledge on foot while holding the board, then place the board below the foot mid-air before landing. Although her specific animal motif is the swallow, her being a skateboarding bird has also brought up many mentions of Tony Hawk.

Adnachiel, Sniper Operator of Rhodes Island, will interrupt the enemies' attacks with his crossbow.
Rarity: ★★★
ID: No. 211
Subclass: Marksman

Skills: ATK Up α
Talents: Shortcoming Breakthrough
Affiliation: Reserve Op Team A4 - Rhodes Island
Race: Sankta
Birthday: May 30
Height: 171cm

"My name is Adnachiel. I'm a Sniper from Laterano. Although I'm not yet certified to carry a gun, I can match the veterans with my crossbow!"

A clever young Laterano and equipment enthusiast, serving in Reserve Team A4 as a sniper.

  • Ace Custom: He personally modified his own crossbow with a tactical rail since he doesn't have the permit to use a firearm yet.
  • Adapted Out: In the anime adaptation, his role in helping the Doctor escape Chernobog is cut entirely to make the numbers for Rhodes Island within the city seem more desperate and make W's interactions with Rhodes Island more ambiguous by not actively engaging with them beyond a brief standoff.
  • Badass in a Nice Suit: His Traceless Walker skin reflects a potential future where he becomes a Legatus, implying that Laterano eventually eases up on its entry ban of Infected citizens.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: At the beginning of Mission 1-11, he draws the attention of Reunion leader W so that his comrades in Reserve Teams A2 and A4 could escape. Considering the power disparity between them, W effortlessly crushes him, though his sacrifice allows A2 and A4 to regroup and defeat her. Subverted in that he ends up surviving, however, and is able to relay valuable information about W to Rhodes Island. Given that W was secretly aiding Rhodes Island at the time and ultimately joined them after Episode 8, it's implied that she deliberately spared him back then.
  • Holy Halo: He has a small halo on the side of his head. Unlike other Sankta, it's off-kilter from its normal position. Kal'tsit has diagnosed it as a sign of an abnormal hippocampus. In "Rewinding Breeze", he tells Arene that it's a birth defect and not caused by Oripathy.
  • Humble Hero: He's incredibly self-effacing about the things he can't do; in one voice line he expresses regret that he can only make 25 types of desserts.
  • Hunter of His Own Kind: Getting him to Elite 1 unlocks his talent, Shortcoming Breakthrough, which gives him a slight boost to attack speed and changes his targeting to prioritize enemies with ranged attacks.
  • Instant Expert: "Instant" might be exaggerating, but he can easily master any subject or technology in a short period of time.
  • Mythical Motifs: Angels, due to his Sankta race.
  • Nice Guy: He's always polite and friendly to the Doctor in his voice lines, and his background files call him soft-spoken and kind.
  • The Pollyanna: He still isn't losing hope on gaining his gun license, even after Arene voices his doubt on the matter because being Infected affects a Sankta's ability to control firearm Arts, in addition to Laterano's law of exiling all Infected citizens.
  • Religious and Mythological Theme Naming: He is named after the angel of truth and wisdom.
  • You Can't Go Home Again: Arene's side story in "Rewinding Breeze" reveals that Adnachiel became Infected not long after he moved out of Laterano with his family. Since Laterano doesn't permit Infected in its borders, he's not allowed to set foot in there ever again.

Rarity: ★★★★
ID: No. 302

Tags: DPS, Slow
Skills: Snaring Shell, Radar Sweep
Talents: Precise Strike
Affiliation: Laterano
Race: Sankta
Birthday: January 13
Height: 162cm

"Ambriel, sniper, from Laterano... Introductions are a pain in the butt, so that's it. Here, I just opened this pack of chocolate. Break off a stick."

An easygoing, lazy citizen of Laterano who specializes in long-ranged sniper support.

  • Armor-Piercing Attack: While her shots don't normally have this property, the sheer amount of ATK she can get up to, especially at maximum mastery for her S2, lets her pierce the DEF value of nearly every enemy in the game. While Ambriel shoots slowly, when she hits the enemy feels it.
  • Boring, but Practical:
    • Her entire lifestyle is centered around this. She uses an antique bolt action rifle because she dislikes close combat and believes modern sniper rifles are too bulky and complicated to use. In her private life, she doesn't really have any sort of outstanding hobbies or interests.
    • In gameplay, she also reflects this. Her kit isn't particularly flashy, but it focuses on slowing enemies, hitting enemies at any location on the map, and doing stupendous damage for every shot she fires. When her level is maxed, her S2 fully developed, and her Modules unlocked, her attack value becomes one of the highest in the game, and it gets doubled while her S2 is up.
  • Cold Sniper: A little more literal than most other Snipers. Though in her case, her coldness is expressed in the form of massive laziness that can rival Durin.
  • Enemy-Detecting Radar: Her Arts ability basically acts as this for herself. The portable radar set she carries helps amplify her ability and is used when her 2nd skill is active.
  • Holy Halo: She has a blue angelic halo. In her Elite 2 art, this expands with an additional ring.
  • Ignorance Is Bliss: She makes it clear that she doesn't know Laterano's "secret" and she doesn't care to, since the knowledge would just make life harder for her.
  • Lazy Bum: Her primary personality trait. She uses an outdated weapon because updating would be too much trouble, she has no real hobbies because that would be too much effort, and her personality is hard to pin down because she rarely expresses herself.
  • Mighty Glacier: Ambriel is of the same general attack type as Firewatch, taking slow aimed shots that deal massive damage and prioritizing those with the lowest DEF first. Her second skill Radar Positioning expands her range to cover the entire freaking map, but sniping at those beyond the normal range takes additional aiming time in addition to the normal ASPD penalty.
  • Mundane Utility: The Garrison Team uses Ambriel's Enemy-Detecting Radar Arts by sending her on patrol for students trying to skip school.
  • Mythical Motifs: Angels, due to her Sankta race.
  • Only in It for the Money: It is noted in her profile that she's a quite materialistic person. Unlike most Laterano, who treat of their guns with religious respect, she thinks of her rifle as a mere tool for her job, from which she nets her pay. Laterano's Obstructive Bureaucrat will further inhibit her from slacking off if she doesn't care for her gun's maintenance and gets her fired as the result. This ironically makes her quite diligent in things that matter.
  • Religious and Mythological Theme Naming: Named after the biblical angel associated with the Gemini sign and the month of May. Ironically, Ambriel is considered to be the angel of clear communication, whereas the operator herself always behaves dubiously and dodges the question every time Rhodes Island tries to probe her for information.
  • Ship Tease: At high trust, Ambriel's lines have her subtly asking the Doctor to go out for a walk with her, and not so subtly inviting the Doctor to watch a romantic movie together.
  • The Slacker: While she does whatever mission she's asked to do, she's in no hurry to volunteer for any jobs.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial:
    • While Ambriel insists she pays her monthly taxes to Laterano on time, she asks the Doctor to give her a heads up if Executor happens to come looking for her.
    • If she doesn't know Laterano's "secret", why would she also say that knowing it would "make life harder for her", as if that were a guarantee? This implies that she is aware and is playing dumb.
  • Verbal Backspace: She does this in her first Promotion:
Ambriel: "I was bored earlier, so I headed down to the bridge to slack off... Err, I meant, I wanted to take a look at the scenery."

Affiliation: Abyssal Hunters
Race: Aegir
Birthday: November 16

"I used to be Monica's... Err, I guess I should call her Incandescence now... Anyway, I used to be her bodyguard. She finally found herself a proper job now, so I'm free to do other stuff. Anyway, pleased to meet you."

An Iberian gun enthusiast sent to Rhodes as a bodyguard for the Operator codenamed Incandescence, who seems somehow connected with the enigmatic Abyssal Hunters.

  • Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: The description of her Gunsmithing Toolkit Module reveals that she prefers to avoid activities with enough factors to become a "pain in the ass".
After the regular checkup, Dr. Gavial wanted to take me out drinking, and I turned her down. It's not that I don't like her or anything; I think she's a fine person. I just don't like things that are a pain in the ass.
It's noisy as hell, there's alcohol, wrist wrestling, and inevitably, a little girl named Tomimi always shows up... Any single one of these things in isolation, I can probably deal with. Some, I might even call cute, but when you smash everything together, that's what you call a pain in the ass. I much prefer enjoying a glass of juice alone on the deck to spending a night at the bar.
  • Animal Motifs: Cuttlefish, specifically the Andrea cuttlefish (Sepia andreana). Unlike most Aegir, she has traits of her associated animal, since she has two tentacles.
  • Gun Nut: As someone who grew up in Iberia (which has strong Laterano influence), Andreana loved guns so much that she designed her own special crossbow to look exactly like a sniper rifle. This unfortunately got her dragged into court several times, although she got let off with a slap on the wrist each time after demonstrating that her weapon was not an actual firearm. However, Rhodes Island suspects that this was merely a pretense for the Iberian court to investigate something more unknown, as they found it odd that the powerful court would investigate her several times for the same offense after proving her innocent the first time. If Iberia really was involved into whatever turned her into an Abyssal Hunter as fans theorize, this might have been more than just typical anti-Aegir racism at play...
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Based on her profile, Andreana is unaware that she has been turned into an Abyssal Hunter. The only thing she's aware of is that she feels an instinctive primal connection with the other Hunters.
  • Out of Focus: Despite being explicitly named in Gladiia's base skillsnote , she makes no appearance in "Under Tides" or "Stultifera Navis". Her Module that was added alongside Episode 9 is currently the only piece of lore in the entire game that is directly related to her.
  • Situational Sword: Much like Skadi before her, Andreana's Elite 1 talent Abyssal Intuition specifically provides stat buffs to all Abyssal Hunters operators as long as she's in the squad. This is helpful if you're running an Abyssal Hunters-heavy squad, but of little use beyond that.
  • Status Buff: Her Abyssal Intuition talent makes it such that as long as she's in the squad, all Abyssal Hunters Operators gain 6 ASPD at Elite 1.
  • Status Effects: Upon reaching Elite 1, Andreana learns Interdictive Sniping Tactics, which, right off the bat at level 1, buffs her ATK by 130%, but her normal attacks will no longer prioritize enemies below 50% HP. In exchange, her attacks slow enemies by 20% for three seconds for the duration.

Skills: Swift Strike γ, Shadow Nails
Talents: Sharp Nails
Affiliation: Chiave's Gang - Siracusa
Race: Lupo
Birthday: May 9
Height: 177cm

"Hello, Doctor. I'm Aosta. It's thanks to you that the three of us are still alive. If you don't mind, please let us work here for the time being."

A former Siracusian mafioso who left to join Chiave's gang before joining Rhodes Island.

  • Animal Motifs: Wolves.
  • Call-Back: He was mentioned by Broca long before either he or Chiave were formally introduced.
  • Damage Over Time: If Aosta attacks an enemy who's not being blocked, a bleed effect is applied to them for several seconds. The bleed multiplier can be increased by using his S2.
  • Herd-Hitting Attack: Like Executor before him, Aosta can hit everything in his highlighted range at once.
  • Location Theme Naming: He is named after an Italian place.
  • Nail 'Em: Like the rest of his gang, he uses typical engineering equipment, a nail gun in his case. Likely unintentional, but his short effective range rather accurately explains why nail guns aren't typically used as actual weapons, due to the lack of rifling, strong propellants, and the nails' unaerodynamic design, making them horribly inaccurate and weak at longer distances.
  • The Paralyzer: His second skill, Shadow Nails, renders enemies hit with it unable to move.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: He's very good at crafts, especially textile work.
  • Shout-Out: His Achievement Star outfit has a clear reference to Cyberpunk 2077.
  • Situational Sword: Much like Chiave, Aosta is an RIIC Workshop operator with a skill that decreases Morale consumption from 4 to 3 whenever he processes Elite Materials, along with a DIY skill that gives him a higher byproduct rate whenever he processes a particular type of material. In this case, he has the DIY Polyester skill, which makes it such that he gets a higher byproduct rate whenever he processes Polyester-type materialsnote .
  • The Smart Guy: Of his crew, with Chiave being The Leader and Broca being The Big Guy. He's the strategist who made plans based on Chiave's ideas, and Broca carries them out as the muscle.

Skills: Precise Shooting, Flexible Camouflage
Talents: Experienced Hunter
Affiliation: RIM Billiton
Race: Cautus
Birthday: January 27
Height: 157cm

"Rhodes Island has such great stuff, and they treat you so good... Oh, sorry, Doctor, I'm just a little shocked. My codename is April. Yeah, it's the name of my favorite song."

A trendy hunter who sought help at Rhodes Island after being forced out of Rim Billiton due to her Oripathy.

  • Animal Motifs: Rabbits, due to her Cautus race.
  • Boring, but Practical: Rhodes Island's assessment of her as an operator rates her as average in all fields.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: She lost her parents when she was young and was eventually fired from her job after she got Infected, leading her apply to Rhodes Island just to try and survive.
  • The Fashionista: She is very involved in the latest fashion trends, and tends to spend quite a lot of time with fellow fashionistas Utage and Orchid. She also spent a lot of effort decorating her own quarters, and it's said that if Rhodes Island were ever to hold an interior decorating contest, she would win hands down.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: She plays like a blend of Anti-Air and Fast-Redeploy. Her cost is low and her redeployment time too (with her Module reducing those two even futher), and the fact that she is an Anti-Air Sniper, makes her best fit for getting those drones that keep slipping through or attacking enemies that are dangerous when their aggro is drawn, like posessed throwers or spec ops casters. It also allows her to avoid Elemental damage if the enemy in question applies it. Despite her being classified in a large archetype, no one else currently does what she does.
  • Nice Girl: She's an extrovert who tries to get along with everyone. She's also mentioned as getting over her societal bigotry against the Infected very quickly after being Infected, immediately aspiring to help other Infected.
  • Plucky Girl: While her handlers note she isn't particularly outstanding in combat, they are impressed with her cheerful disposition allowing her to bounce back after all the hardships she experienced when she was Infected.
  • Sitting on the Roof: A favorite hobby of hers, especially back in RIM Billiton where the rooftop of her apartment building was the only place she could get a good view.
  • Stealth Expert: Her second skill, Flexible Camouflage, gives her stealth and an attack boost for a time after deploying.

Cleric of Landen Monastery Archetto, the power to rebuild faith stronger than faith itself.
Rarity: ★★★★★★
ID: No. 332
Subclass: Marksman
Tags: DPS
Skills: Dispersing Arrows, Pursuing Arrows, Thundering Arrows
Talents: Landen Tactics, Iron Bowstring
Affiliation: Laterano
Race: Liberi
Birthday: November 16
Height: 152cm

"Cleric of Landen Monastery, Operator Archetto. Today on, I'll be in formal cooperation with you, for the rebuilding of the Landen Monastery famed far and wide! Doctor, if you would, please look over these contract terms!"

A cleric from Laterano's Landen Monastery and part of its guard, Archetto left her home and travels the world in search of business opportunities that'll help her stop her home from falling into bankruptcy.

  • Church Militant: Her home, Landen Monastery, carries an ancient duty of protecting their pope. In order to carry this out, the monastery's nuns are trained in combat techniques and Archetto is no exception.
  • Deflector Shields: When deployed at Elite 2, she'll create a shield that blocks the first instance of damage she takes. If an enemy breaks her shield, she'll gain a burst of skill points.
  • Great Bow: She wields a rather large compound bow, which had undergone so many modifications by the Landen Monastery that it ended up as a weapon that could barely be recognized as a bow on first glance. Archetto is only able to actually wield it as such because of her profound archery skill.
  • Height Angst: Downplayed. Archetto is unusually short (shorter than Grani of all people), and her medical analysis has her examiner specifically point out that she needs to be more aware of how her lack of height might challenge her. However, in-game, she makes no mention of her height at all, showing that she's probably more ignorant of her height than bothered by it.
  • Herd-Hitting Attack: All of her skills specialize in taking out large groups of enemies at once, with attacks that either hit multiple times, strike multiple targets, or both.
  • Hoist by Their Own Petard: She can cause this to happen to the player depending on the map and placement. Due to the Pinball Projectile nature of her attacks, Archetto can end up triggering certain enemies way before they're supposed to be provoked, like the many Sarkaz units that first appeared in "Darknights' Memoir". An errant shot from Archetto can bounce between the fodder if they're closely stacked, and should it hit a Grudgebearer or Bladeweaver (or even worse, a Sentinel), the entire map's worth of enemies will come crashing down on your defenses in a matter of moments.
  • Idol Singer: In "Beyond Here", one of the way to promote the monastery offered to her is to be an idol singer, something that she makes a consideration of. Her Publicity Strategy skin has her take on the role, and her Operator Record recounts how she actually did try it out for a brief time.
  • Image Song: “Till the Bell Tolls”.
  • Master Archer: Even as a child, her archery skill was described as "incomparable." This only carried over once she grew up and became a member of the Landen Guard, with Archetto developing and mastering three distinct arrow techniques.
  • Mythical Motifs: Gryphon. She has basically the same animal ears as Hellagur does, but has a lion tail. Like him, she settles for a mythical animal, but is categorized as per the 'head' of the animal.
  • Pinball Projectile: Her second skill fires a barrage of attacks at her target, which proceed to bounce up to a certain number of enemies to damage all of them, although the attack will lose power the more it bounces.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: She's petite and slender, yet can easily wield her massive compound bow while retaining "incomparable" archery skills.
  • Saving the Orphanage: Saving the Monastery. She's decided to join Rhodes Island as part of a business partnership to keep Landen Monastery from closing down.
  • Warrior Monk: She is both a highly trained bodyguard and a nun, having joined the Monastery when she was only ten.
  • Yuppie: Her profile essentially describes her as one, as it states she comes off more as a very aggressive and savvy businesswoman than a nun.

Blue Poison, Sniper Operator of Rhodes Island, will attack the enemy with her venom.
Rarity: ★★★★★
ID: No. 129
Subclass: Marksman
Tags: DPS
Skills: Twinshot - Auto, Venom Spray
Talents: Neurotoxin
Affiliation: Iberia
Race: Anura
Birthday: January 18
Height: 157cm

"Nice to meet you, I'm Blue Poison. I'm sure Dr. Kal'tsit must have told you about me. As for how you'd like to use my powers, it's up to you to decide."

A mysterious and venomous toxin expert working for Rhodes Island, she uses a pistol crossbow to deliver darts filled with her poison.

  • Afraid of Their Own Strength: She sees her own poison powers as a double-edged sword and is afraid of what it does to her. Enemies fear her poison so much that they would rather want to kill Blue Poison before they get poisoned by her, but she is also worried that her allies would also share that same mentality and consider killing her too.
  • Animal Motif: While her Anura race has frog motifs, hers is specific to the Poison dart frogs. One of them can also be seen near her feet in her Elite 2 artwork.
  • Anti-Armor: A variation. While Anti-Air Snipers are known to struggle against heavy DEF and Blue Poison technically deals physical damage, she can remain relevant due to her talent, which is Arts and thus bypasses DEF. Like Thorns, she can keep enemies poisoned due to her fast ASPD, especially when an enemy is blocked; she'll just endlessly egg on them with tiny Arts attacks until they die.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: As shown in Preluding Lights, while on a mission she'll still secretly poison a stranger with a paralyzing toxin right off the bat if there's even a chance of them being a threat, even if they don't show any signs of aggression. In that particular case with Indigo, she even proceeded to be a Nice Girl to her afterwards while the toxin secretly did its work.
  • Color Motif: Blue (or Azura in Spanish). It's in her name, her Animal Motif is the "azureus" subspecies of the poison dart frogs, she has light blue eyes, her syringes have blue liquid in them, and her outfit is mostly just shades of blue.
  • Damage Over Time: This is her hat. Thanks to her Elite 1 Neurotoxin talent, her attacks deal additional Arts DoT. It's not enough to significantly increase her DPS even against high defense enemies however, especially since her low attack interval renders the "over time" aspect mostly redundant, but it's a nice safety net in case an enemy leaks past her at low health. It does synergize very well with her Twinshot - Auto skill, however, as it occasionally hits a separate target which would take constant poison damage for exactly as long as her skill takes to recharge at normal attack speed.
  • Double Tap: Sums up her skills quite nicely, which helps keep targets poisoned for as long as possible.
    • Twinshot - Auto is an automatic skill that hits an additional target on the next attack for 125% of her ATK as Physical damage at Skill Level 1.
    • Venom Spray is a manual skill that not only boosts Blue Poison's ATK by 10%, but each attack hits 2 additional targets at Skill Level 1.
  • Dub Name Change: A particularly unusual example in that it only applies to the Japanese version of the game. In all other versions of the game, BP is known as, well, some variant of "Blue Poison" (蓝毒 in Chinese), but in Japanese she's known as "アズリウス", which transliterates as "Azureus" in standard JP-to-EN romanization. This does get especially weird thanks to the Japanese audio (which is used for all versions of the game), since she introduces herself as "アズリウス" but the text in all non-JP clients won't match.
  • Expy: She shares similarities with Hassan of Serenity from Fate/Grand Order, both of whom have the ability to create poisons from within their own body, and being very unhappy with this fact due to not being able to live a normal life.
  • The Fashionista: One of her hobbies is fashion. Her potential token is a voucher for a clothes store, indicating that she wants to invite the Doctor to buy something new to wear besides their dreary, plain uniform, which she actually brings up in one of her voiced lines, and her Shoal Beat skin by Martha is a fashionable set of exercise clothes that her base animations has her posing like a model in.
  • Feminine Women Can Cook: Her archives revealed that she's a great baker. Canon artwork from Terra Historica shows that she likes to use blue cake icing.
  • Glass Cannon: While Blue Poison has a high attack within the Marksman archetype, further bolstered by her Damage Over Time talent, she pays for it by having especially poor HP and Defense stats, to the point where even lower-rarity Marksman Operators are better-defended. A minor note is that while she does have a RES of 5 (and was the only Sniper prior to Rosmontis' introduction that has any RES at all), it isn't high enough to provide any meaningful protection against Arts damage.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Blue Poison is a sweet, gentle, and polite girl. Her victory line also has her tell the Doctor she plans to use her poison to melt the remains of their enemies' corpses.
"I've got a way to melt away all these remains in an instant. Want me to show you?"
  • In the Hood: She keeps on the hood of her blue jacket.
  • Mercy Kill: Blue Poison's files state that she would never let an enemy die in agony, believing it to be far too cruel.
  • Mysterious Past:
    • BP has some kind of link to the Abyssals and Abyssal Hunters, though whether she, as an Anura, counts as an "Abyssal" herself is a bit of a question mark. At the very least, she seems to know Specter from before the time Specter got amnesia, and she's a bit evasive about exactly where she's from or her early life before coming to Rhodes Island. It doesn't help that she had been allegedly seen battling massive beasts, and Blue Poison herself doesn't acknowledge the rumors in the slightest.
    • In the closed beta test, she was classified as one of the Abyssal Hunters, but this was retconned upon the final release.
    • In "Preluding Lights", she tells Glaucus that her ancestors were kidnapped by Aegir to use their toxins against deep sea monsters, implied to be the Seaborne. Blue Poison purposefully retains her poisonous ability despite the social ostracization it brings her in case she ever needs to use it against those monsters.
    • Her operator record reveals even more of her history: her ancestors are native to Kerthun, Sargon, and were taken to Iberia so their toxins could be used against the Seaborn in the past, but by Blue Poison's era this practice has long been abandoned.
  • Nice Girl: Self-image issues due to her poison abilities aside, she's a docile and sincere girl overall.
  • Poisonous Person: And she's really not terribly happy about this fact. Yes, she is a poison expert and can generate poisons from her own body, but it really hurts her to be called "poisonous" and she desperately wants to live a more peaceful, normal life where people can simply accept and like her. She does point out that it's perfectly safe to touch her, which a lot of her fellow operators, even, seem to doubt.
  • Punny Name: She wears blue and attacks using poison darts, on top of outright being based on the blue poison dart frog.
  • Ship Tease: Her higher trust lines are quite shippy, as the Doctor is one of the first people to just accept her for who she is and be unafraid to actually touch her.
Blue Poison: If you could prove this to everyone by touching me yourself, then... maybe everyone will be nicer to me? Doctor, can you... touch my hand in front of everyone else?
  • Spam Attack: Her first skill encourages this, and its SP Cost goes as low as 3 upon its first mastery. This made her have a good synergy with Saria, who can easily take care of Blue Poison's Glass Cannon status and grants her even more SP to boot.
  • Supreme Chef: Her cooking skills are commendable. For example, Gummy claims that Blue Poison's desserts are so good, they could "convert someone who hates sweets!", while an unnamed Operator claims that Blue Poison could start a bakery. However, her files say that she can work on presentation, as people have a natural aversion to eating stuff that's blue (since pure blue things in nature are usually poisonous). Ambriel note  took a fondness for her cooking, praising her for being able to enhance the flavour of her cakes without overloading the recipes with sugar.
  • Technicolor Toxin: The liquid inside her poisoned syringe/dart projectiles is blue and it leaves blue trails when it's shot if one looks closely, but the effect on the enemies is colored green instead.
  • Visual Pun: She's a Poison Dart frog that attacks with... poison darts.

She can barely follow the Operator Regulations, but you'll never find her working overtime.
Catapult, Sniper Operator of Rhodes Island, is an expert at dealing with large targets.
Rarity: ★★★
ID: No. 282
Subclass: Artilleryman
Tags: AoE
Skills: Blast Range Up α
Talents: Lightweight
Affiliation: Reserve Op Team A6 - Rhodes Island
Race: Kuranta
Birthday: August 8
Height: 163cm

"Operation Reserve Team A6 member Catapult, reporting in! Hey, I can tell you're hella different from that stuffy old bit—I mean, that esteemed, honorable instructor Ms. Dobermann. Right? Like it's obvious!"

A Kuranta troublemaker that serves as the explosives expert in Reserve Team A6.

  • Animal Motifs: Horses, due to her Kuranta race.
  • Be Yourself: It's something that she believes in, as she states in her trust lines:
Catapult: I don't care what anybody thinks of me—it's more important I just enjoy every day doing what I like. My life belongs to me, so I alone decide what I do. Isn't that right?
  • Com Mons: She's a very common drop among Artilleryman Snipers at Recruitment, especially when setting AoE for Snipers.
  • The Gadfly: Catapult's file describes her as a troublemaker who intentionally riles up other Operators for her own amusement, particularly her Team Mom Orchid.
  • Just Like Robin Hood: She hated their town mayor whom she viewed as an unsympathetic tyrant. So she blasted open his vault and gave the money to the townspeople.
  • Military Maverick: She dislikes following orders, and gets a kick out of being a nuisance to her captain, Orchid.
  • Online Alias: Her Obsgram username is "Catapult@Pay for my dinner pls".
  • Really Royalty Reveal: Her Operator Record reveals that Catapult was a ward of a knight - essentially in-line to vault over Kazimierz's maze of red tapes to gain high position and riches through connections alone. The reason why she robbed her own adoptive father and gave the money to the small folks is because sympathizing the small folks any other way would just demean their life's struggle, as Catapult had been raised on the laps of luxury.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Catapult really doesn't like Dobermann. She stops just short of calling Dobermann a "stuffy old bitch" in her recruitment line, checks to see whether Dobermann is there whenever she's assigned to a RIIC facility, and expresses dismay when she learns she'll continue to receive instruction from Dobermann after promotion. Dobermann, for her part, doesn't express any opinion regarding Catapult in any of her dialogue lines.
  • Stranger in a Familiar Land: Her second Operator Record sees her returning to her hometown for the first time in years, after the former mayor's son took over and spearheaded a large-scale renovation project. She quickly discovers both the streets and people she once knew are practically unrecognisable, and that the whole place reeks of the same ruthless commercialisation as Kazimierz's big cities. By the end of it all, she just wants to leave and never look back.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: Catapult is an AoE Sniper, and is basically a budget version of Shirayuki or Meteorite if you don't have them. Lore-wise, Catapult is kind of an explosive maniac who blows stuff up for fun and has actually gotten into trouble many times for this hobby of hers. The Noodle Incident mentioned in her bio is actually one of the tamer instances, where she only blew up some vaults instead of anything more important. This also manifests in the fact that she has the Blasting Materiology β RIIC Workshop skill, giving an 80% chance of getting a byproduct from elite materials.
  • They Call Him "Sword": She derives her name from the artillery piece, which is fitting considering her choice of weapon.
  • Verbal Backspace: She almost casually described Dobermann as a "stuffy old bitch" out loud before hastily "correcting" herself mid-sentence.

Rhodes Island Operator Ch'en, back from vacation.
Rarity: ★★★★★★
ID: No. 1013
Subclass: Spreadshooter
Tags: DPS, AoE
Skills: High-Pressure Splash, "Night of Violet", "Holiday Storm"
Talents: Frugality, Vestiges of Vacation
Affiliation: Rhodes Island
Race: Lung
Birthday: July 7
Height: 168cm

"Ch'en, reporting back in from my holiday in Dossoles. I have a lot of reports to write about my trip, so I'm just passing by to say hello, Doctor. Let me know if you've got something. Now that the holiday's over, everything's back to normal."

An alternate, matured version of Ch'en after joining Rhodes Island, who went on vacation in Dossoles at Fumizuki's request only to be sucked into one of the city's conspiracies.

  • All Asians Wear Conical Straw Hats: She wears one in her "Bloodline of Combat: Ten Thousand Mountains" skin, and is from the in-universe equivalent of Hong Kong.
  • Anti-Armor: Her second and third skills spread liquid on the ground that slows and significantly decreases the DEF of enemies standing within it.
  • Anti-Climax: In-Universe, Warfarin considers the reveal of her previously confidential physical record to be this, as all it revealed was that she was infected.
  • Call-Forward: Her first Operator Record ends with her mulling on visiting Columbia when she gets the chance after hearing about its judicial system and thinking it's a nice place; "Sword and Scale" (Ch'en's side story in Beyond Here, which debuted before Dossoles Holiday) shows Ch'en learning that she was sorely mistaken about Columbia.
  • Character Development: Despite being a somewhat lighthearted version of Ch'en, her lines and interactions during the "Dossoles Holiday" event paint a picture of a Ch'en who has been both scarred and wisened by the conflict with Reunion and her sister Talulah. She's still stern, but her idealistic sense of justice has been tempered, most notably with how she feels that she has no right to judge the tumultuous situation in Bolivar and Dossoles at face value.
  • Cross-Popping Veins: She has this on the back of her head during her third skill.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: In-universe, it is universally agreed that Ch'en is better-skilled and more dangerous as a swordswoman than as a sniper. Out-of-universe, it is near-universally agreed among high-level players that Ch'en the Holungday is a vastly more powerful unit than baseline Ch'en.
  • Image Song: "Across the Wind".
  • Interface Spoiler: Her record reveals the fact that she is indeed, infected with Oripathy.
  • Letting Her Hair Down: In her Elite 2 CG, seemingly to emphasize her slightly improved attitude compared to her original iteration (who wore her hair tied and was quite stern). That, and to accentuate her alluring beauty in said CG.
  • Making a Splash: Highly pressurized water blasts somehow gets the job done. Her "Bloodline of Combat: Ten Thousand Mountains" skin replaces her water guns with splashes of ink from her sword, and a giant ink-shooting cannon for her third skill.
  • Message in a Bottle: Her idle animation in base with the "Bloodline of Combat: Ten Thousand Mountains" skin shows a bird delivering one to her, which she repays with a fish.
  • Mighty Glacier: Like the other Spreadshooter Snipers, Ch'en has high overall stats, but is quite slow to attack. She also hits extremely hard, especially if she has her skills up.
  • Ms. Fanservice: In her Elite 2 artwork, Ch'en does not seem to have any qualms about showing off her well endowed body. Even her base artwork shows off her legs very well.
  • Nerf Arm: Because using her sword would be far too lethal in the Dossoles Warrior Championship, Ch'en is instead supplied with a pair of water guns to fight with. Granted, they're explicitly stated to shoot highly pressurized blasts of water and they can deal more damage than a shotgun. Taking a closer look at her weapons shows that they're made by Raythean, one of Terra's biggest arms manufacturers.
  • Punny Name: She's Ch'en, a Lung, who is on a holiday. Hence, Holungday. She also named the team she's in with Yühsia 'LUNG wRATh', cue the latter's unamused reaction.
Ch'en: Then we're calling it... LUNG wRATh. All caps. Except the 'w' and 'h'.
    Lin Yühsia: ......
Ch'en: You told me to decide.
  • Situational Sword:
    • Her first talent gives Sniper operators with ammo-based skills a chance to not consume ammo when they attack. When she was released, there were only two Sniper operators other than herself with ammo-based skills (Ash and Toddifons) making the ally buff effect of the talent very situational. Currently two other Sniper operators with ammo-based skills are out, albeit in the Chinese server only.
    • Her second talent gives her a small attack speed buff that increases if there are water tiles on the map. Unlike Ceylon's, she still gets about two-thirds of the effect if there is no water tile, letting her still benefit from it.
  • Stripperific: Ch'en shows off significant amounts of bare skin in her Elite 2 artwork, by way of discarding her jacket and showing off her bikini.
  • Temporary Online Content: She is the limited operator of the Summer Stars banner, and afterwards is only available at a much lower rate up in carnival banners.
  • Willfully Weak: Ironically, this version of Ch'en is supposed to be weaker, as she deliberately decided to set aside Chi Xiao for a nonlethal watergun since she was concerned about accidentally hurting other contestants in the Dossoles Warrior Championship.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: The first operator who goes into battle in a swimsuit as their default attire. To be fair, she does have the decency to at least wear a jacket in her chibi sprite and initial CG, though her Elite 2 CG ditches said jacket.

"Hello, Doctor. Jessica and I are here to get medical help for our infected Pioneers. She talks about you all the time, so I think we'll be good working together."

A bartender from Davistown and later Pioneer after the events of "Come Catastrophe or Wakes of Vulture", having joined Rhodes Island as a branch operator.

  • The Bartender: She worked as one in Davistown, and her Elite 2 promotion file implies that she resumes the post in Rhodes Island.
  • Drives Like Crazy: Her file notes that she is an expert driver in both vehicles and burdenbeasts, though she perhaps is a little too proficient as she can perform feats that should seem physically impossible like somehow getting a truck on top of a four story hotel.
  • Gargle Blaster: Her potential token implies that her homebrew is this.
A chunk of ice carved into a globe, a perfect fit for the glass it sits in. To those interested in trying her homebrew, we suggest you take it on the rocks to water it down. Or better yet, DON'T try it.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Coldshot is a kind and caring person, but she will not hesitate to fight back against wrongdoing. Her 150 trust file reveals that Coldshot had decimated a gang and paid for a woman's ride to Ironforge City so she can pursue her dream in academia, with said woman trying to find Coldshot to repay her kindness.
I'm not trying to protect anything, I just want to experience as much goodness as I can, leaving no regrets behind. But, if someone were here to do badness, I wouldn't hesitate to empty my magazine. (Elite 2 promotion)
  • Hidden Depths: Coldshot has a multitude of skills from her life as a wanderer and Pioneer.
  • I Have Many Names: Aside from her birth name Anna Mitterrand, she also went by pseudonyms Helena and Madeline. After arriving in Rhodes Island, she adopted "Coldshot" as her codename.
  • May–December Romance: She commonly flirts with Woodrow and he reciprocates, despite him being twice her age.
  • Meaningful Name: Her name is a reference to a Canadian brand of alcohol while her Chinese name translates to "chilled wine", fitting with her occupation as a bartender.
  • Older Than They Look: Coldshot is stated to be in her forties, yet still looks fairly young.
  • The Pollyanna: She maintains her kindness through the harsh life in Davistown and the Pioneer frontier.
  • Rebellious Princess: She is the daughter of a wealthy businessman who ran away when he attempted to force her into an arranged marriage.
  • Signed Up for the Dental: Outright says in her onboard line that she joined Rhodes Island alongside Jessica to seek medical care for Infected Pioneers.
Hello, Doctor. Jessica and I are here to get medical help for our infected Pioneers. She talks about you all the time, so I think we'll be good working together.
  • Supreme Chef: She's described as an extremely skilled chef, having run a diner for a good portion of her life.
  • Temporary Online Content: She's the welfare operator of "Come Catastrophe or Wakes of Vulture".
  • Tragic Keepsake: Her 200 trust file reveals that the diner she owns in Davistown was left behind by her old lover before his passing.

Talents: Song of Dreams

"So this is Rhodes Island, huh? At last, at long last... No, all of this was ordained by fate, so I should be saying, it's about time! You can call me Erato. Is Pallas here, may I ask?"

A wandering bard from Minos and a member of the resistance against Sargon.

  • Animal Motifs: The secretarybird; there's one perched next to her in her Elite 2 portrait, and the darker feathers sprouting from her hair evoke the animal's distinctive plumage. Erato being an archer is a possible nod to the secretarybird's genus: Sagittarius, or "archer" in Latin. The bird was likely given this name due to their head feathers resembling a quiver full of arrows.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: Her first talent lets her ignore a certain amount of DEF when attacking Slumbering enemies.
  • The Bard: According to her introductory blurb on CN social media, after arriving at Rhodes Island, there was an increase in the number of operators requesting a vacation. The reason for that? They heard her playing her harp while telling tales about her travels all around Terra, inspiring them to go and explore the wonders of the world as well.
  • Broken Pedestal: Erato ends up rather disappointed that the famed hero Pallas turns to be just a raging alcoholic.
  • Forced Sleep: Her first skill can inflict the Slumber status effect on its target for a short time.
  • Great Bow: In contrast with the BFGs of Rosa and Toddifons, Erato wields a bow that's almost an entire head taller than she is.
  • Instrumental Weapon: Erato's weapon of choice? A Great Bow that's strung like a harp and can be played like one, too.
  • Religious and Mythological Theme Naming: Named after the muse of lyrical and erotic poetry in Greek mythos.
  • Situational Sword: As a Besieger Sniper, like her two peers in the subclass, Erato's kit is geared around damaging a specific type of enemy; in this case, ones who have been inflicted with Slumber. Her first talent allows her to attack them without regard for their usual invulnerability (much like Blemishine), and also causes her attacks to ignore a certain amount of DEF on them as well. Her second skill even causes her to prioritize targeting any Slumbering enemies within range.
    • Erato is mostly known for forming a 'stalling' strategy together with Mr. Nothing for Integrated Strategies 4's Last Knight boss stage. Mr. Nothing alone does a stunning punch whenever he hasn’t attacked for more than 4 seconds, something he can achieve by freezing himself. Combined with Erato’s long range sleep arrow while the former is frozen, the two can keep Last Knight stalled forever (in combination with Mr. Nothing's module and an SP boost like Ptilopsis).
  • Warts and All: Her philosophy on stories to reveal them all in their entirety, even that the protagonists being flawed. This is also part of why she disagrees with Pallas's embellished tales, despite both being Minosian storytellers.
In Erato's songs, the main characters are in general not particularly strong, and sometimes they even have very obvious flaws, but all of them are optimistic and kind-hearted without fail. [...] Those who don't have a firm understanding of ugliness do not deserve to discuss beauty, and those who have never experienced hardship should never speak of hope.

Executor, a professional undertaker sent from the Laterano Embassy, is glad to fulfill any and all contracts.
Rarity: ★★★★★
ID: No. 279
Subclass: Spreadshooter
Tags: AoE
Skills: Muzzle's Elegy, Final Journey
Talents: Final Modification
Affiliation: Laterano
Race: Sankta
Birthday: July 7
Height: 181cm

"Well met, Doctor of Rhodes Island. I am a Laterano citizen who signed a clean-up agreement with your company. Here is my certificate. Am I required to give my name? If you insist, you may call me Executor."

One of the executors of Laterano's Notarial Hall, responsible for enforcing the rights and laws of the nation. He once brought Vermeil to Rhodes Island in the process of carrying out a Sankta's last wishes from their last will and testament.

  • Affectionate Nickname: In the "Cadenza Virtuosa" manga, his adopted family called him "Fede".
  • Ambiguous Robots: Is he an actual flesh and blood person who simply acted like a robot like Ptilopsis? Or is he, indeed, an android designed to look like a Sankta? Operators from Rhodes Island suspect that it's the latter, not helped that he possesses a ridiculously inhuman level of strength even by Terran standards. The Ex Foedere's voice lines confirmed that it was the former; his lack of understanding in human emotions stemmed from a birth defect, and Executor is otherwise a very much flesh-and-blood Sankta.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: Starting from Elite 1, he gains the Final Modification talent, which makes his attacks flat out ignore 80 DEF, and it doubles to ignore 160 DEF as soon as he reaches Elite 2.
  • Back-to-Back Badasses: With Enforcer in "Guide Ahead" after enlisting his junior into helping him arrest Oren under orders from the Notarial Hall.
  • Badass Bureaucrat: Despite being an operator, Executor is still essentially a lawyer who's responsible for protecting the rights of Laterans according to their constitution.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: It's noted that one should be careful about expressing their wishes when Executor is within earshot, as Executor has the drive and capability to make it come true to the letter regardless of the consequences.
  • By-the-Book Cop: Due to his lack of emotions and empathy, Executor takes the word of the law very seriously. He chased Oren - himself a well-connected Legatus - across the streets of Laterano in "Guide Ahead", and leaves the moment Cardinal Velliv took over the case without protest.
Oren: Actually, I think Laterano could use more people like you. Someone who doesn't let their empathy get to them, always doing things by the book.
  • Clueless Chick-Magnet: Is popular among the female staff despite his eccentricities, though his lack of emotions means it doesn't go anywhere. One of Rhodes Island's engineers called him a "glass half empty kind of guy" in his Elite 2 promotion record.
  • Coat Cape: His Titleless Code skin gives him one.
  • Collateral Damage: His potential token implies that Executor has a habit of disregarding the well-being of anyone unfortunate enough to be near him in a firefight in favor of self-preservation.
A self-defense manual, with comprehensive descriptions of things to pay attention to in most major city-states. Focuses mostly on personal safety and very little on the well-being of the inhabitants.
  • Creepy Good: Has a tendency to scare other Rhodes Island operators with his strength in combat.
Executor's file: That was not the first time an operator came crying to me that "Executor is terrifying", and it certainly won't be the last.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Is revealed to be this with the "Cadenza Virtuosa" manga that focuses on his and Arturia's past. He lived with Arturia's family after his parents died in battle, until his aunt died after exposure to Arturia's music caused her to become a war correspondent, and his uncle blamed his daughter for his wife's death. At the funeral, Executor tried to stop Arturia when her music caused all the attendants to lose control of their emotions - foreshadowing her future as a wanted criminal and his life goal to stop her crimes.
  • Deceased Parents Are the Best: His Operator Record shows that Executor was taught to use shapes to help read other people's emotions, as a way to compensate for his inability to empathize with others. Tragically, his parents were killed in action during a Notarial Hall mission when he was ten years old.
I don't understand the causes of emotions, and it is difficult to understand what emotions mean to people, but I can understand the consequences.
  • Deceptively Human Robot: Due to the way he acts and speaks, many of the Rhodes Island staff are convinced Executor is just a robot disguised as a living person. Closure vehemently denies rumors that Executor is one of her projects, but concedes that even she thinks something is off about him.
  • Difficult, but Awesome: Like his fellow Spreadshooter Snipers, Executor's damage range is severely limited due to his Short-Range Shotgun, which makes using him a tough proposition in many maps, especially those with long sightlines where enemies can't be funneled into a chokepoint for him to shoot. When he is in his element, however, Executor is hideously strong, even more so with his talent upgraded and skills activated, ensuring that most things will be reduced to paste in just a handful of shots.
  • Dual Wielding: He whips out another shotgun when his second skill is active.
  • Due to the Dead: His Operator Record ends with Executor applying for funding to carry out the last wish of another Notarial Hall executor that died during the mission they were both on: Have Executor eat one hundred ice cream scoops from the ice cream shop in front of the basilica for him. Also doubles as Consummate Professional, as Executor will do any request that is given to him, no matter how hard or silly it is.
...I have applied for executive funding to purchase one hundred ice cream scoops. I will do what the living and the dead have entrusted to me... no matter what.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Executor's main profession is an actual executor, performing legal services for Laterans.
  • Geeky Turn-On: His Elite 2 promotion record shows Executor unintentionally doing this to the Rhodes Island engineering staff when he assisted them in some repairs.
  • Happily Adopted: He was taken in by his father's cousin after the death of his parents. He called them uncle and aunt and considered Arturia a sister, at least until she fled after committing her first crime.
  • Herd-Hitting Attack: As a Spreadshooter Sniper, Executor's shotgun blasts hit all enemies within his range regardless if they were his original target, unlike Artilleryman Snipers which only damages enemies around their target.
  • Holy Halo: Executor has a black-ringed halo on top of his head, which is revealed to be a Giallo family trait.
  • Icy Blue Eyes: Reflects his The Spock tendencies.
  • Image Song: "A Cold Call". Shared with Mostima and Cantabile.
  • Implacable Man: In "Operational Intelligence" side story "Survival Notorization", he chased Vermeil across her Siracusan homestead while disarming booby traps and catching arrows she fired at him. And if his work records and his appearance in "Guide Ahead" are anything to go by, he's this in general; nothing will stop him from completing his missions.
  • Inspector Javert: In "Guide Ahead", it's revealed that he is focused on tracking down an infamous Sankta criminal named Arturia, who happens to be a distant relative of his. This was later elaborated in "Hortus de Escapismo".
  • Intimidating Revenue Service: He's The Dreaded to Ambriel specifically for this reason, with her voice line implying that he wants to make sure she is "fulfilling her obligations".
  • In the Blood: His parents were members of the Pontifica Cohors Lateran before transferring to the Notarial Hall as executors, and Federico grew up to become an executor himself.
  • Lack of Empathy: His profile discusses his seemingly lack of empathy, and the cardinal speaking to him in his Operator Record outright notes that Executor has a noticeable lack of empathy.
  • Lying to Protect Your Feelings: "Survival Notorization" subchapter in "Operational Intelligence" reveals that this is how Executor gains Vermeil's cooperation to be treated in Rhodes Island. Executor lies about how he didn't kill the man that saved Vermeil, under the man's order, because both of them know that if Vermeil knows, she will reject the man's inheritance to get Oripathy treatment in Rhodes just so she can attempt to kill Executor. Vermeil won't care that the man is a mass murderer who let himself get killed by the Notarial Hall out of guilt, because she only knows paying back personal vengeance with violence. Executor simply tells her that the man died on operating table, so Vermeil wouldn't be tormented by further grudge toward the people who want to help her.
  • Mighty Glacier: Due to his archetype, Executor has quite high HP and DEF for Snipers, making him particularly good at taking hits that would down any other Sniper, and is particularly good at mowing down enemies that get within spitting distance of him (and he hits all of them). There is however, the matter of his low Attack Speed which can be mitigated somewhat if you use his second skill Final Journey.
  • Mythical Motifs: Angels, due to his Sankta race.
  • No One Gets Left Behind: Executor's Operator Record is of him recounting a recent mission to Bolivar, where he and another executor were tasked with bringing the heir of a will back to Laterano. His partner got fatally injured and made a plan to use himself as bait so Executor can complete the mission, but Executor decided to try and bring both his partner's body and the heir back to Laterano - which he succeeded, at the cost of being severely wounded himself.
  • No-Sell:
    • His voice line suggests that he is unaffected by his cousin Arturia's "illusions". "Hortus de Escapismo" and "Cadenza Virtuosa" manga show that Arturia's music has the effect of removing people's inhibitions and inducing people to follow their deepest desires. Due to his lack of emotions and empathy, Executor is immune to the effects of her music - making him the ideal person to track her down.
Fortunately, she seems to hate me very much because I cannot see the illusion she creates, nor understand what it means to people. (talk after trust increase 1)
    • In "Survival Notorization", he proved to be a skilled hunter, having disarmed all of Vermeil's traps before she realized it and even caught arrows fired at him.
  • No Social Skills: His inability to understand emotions results in Executor being uncomfortable around most people. The Doctor is one of the few people he feels comfortable around.
  • Odd Name Out: Until "Guide Ahead" and the release of Enforcer, he was for the longest time the only Sankta to be named after his job and not a biblical angel.
  • Pretty Boy: Executor is an incredibly handsome man, which may explain his Chick Magnet status.
  • Short-Range Shotgun: His shotgun has a really short range for a Sniper, as even Splash Casters have better range; he can't even hit targets directly to the sides. That being said, his shots hit everyone that gets within range, and he deals about 150% more damage if they're in the row directly in front of him.
  • Shotguns Are Just Better: The first Sniper to use a shotgun, in this case an Expy of the Winchester M1887. Or two, when he fires up his second skill. He's not the only one who uses an actual firearm, though.
  • The Spock: Executor has a very mechanical worldview and lacks both empathy and common sense. It's not that he's psychopathic, but rather a lack of emotions and the understanding of their meanings. He makes every decision based on logic and fact, without letting his emotions, or lack thereof, influence him. He's also known for his disuse of contractions when speaking.
  • The Stoic: He never shows emotion even in the most ridiculous of circumstances. In fact, he's so stoic that many operators believe him to be a robot in disguise.
  • Super-Strength: Has enough strength to literally tear out the aorta out of a monster with his bare hands.
  • Terminator Impersonator: He seems to be an Expy for the main "good" Terminators in their eponymous franchise, more specifically the T-800 from Judgment Day. Super-Strength? Check. Almost uncanny and robotic mannerisms and speech? Yes. A Winchester M1887 stand-in as a weapon that he flip-cocks with his S2 active? Bingo. Becoming a surrogate father figure to an orphaned child who initially considered him an enemy? Definitely. Even his codename has a very similar ring to it.
  • Understatement: His assignment records at the Notarial Hall are full of them. For just one example, an entry reading "October 12: The designated property was delivered to the appropriate heir." makes no mention of the 41 hardened criminals he killed to accomplish the task.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: A minor version, but Executor has a tendency to go for the most extreme solution to seemingly mundane things; his solution to keeping people from disturbing the Doctor's work is to trap the office hallway with fragmentation mines. This has resulted in other operators thinking that he lacks common sense, though Rhodes Island HR office does not accept said evaluations.
  • Winged Humanoid: Has wings that look like glass shards. In his Titleless Code skin, they spread out and glow with blue light whenever Executor's second skill Final Journey is active.

Skills: Charging Mode, Shooting Mode, Overloading Mode
Talents: Fast Cartridge, Angel's Blessings
Affiliation: Penguin Logistics
Race: Sankta
Birthday: December 24
Height: 159cm

"Our slogan is 'Long live the Penguin Empire.' Are you our client? You can call me Exusiai. I'm nothing like that Lupo ice queen. I'm always down for some fun!"

An operator from Penguin Logistics, Exusiai is the point-woman of the team, trigger-woman when necessary, and general resident ray of sunshine.

  • The Ace: She's an excellent sharpshooter envied by the rest, thanks to her innate markswomanship talents (including visual tracking and timing) making her rank high among the top marksmen in Rhodes Island.
  • Achilles' Heel: Heavily-armored units. Exusiai actually has surprisingly low attack for her rarity alongside a lack of ATK multipliers on her skills, which is usually compensated for by her bevy of skills allowing her to hose the enemy down in bullets. However, armor subtracts damage on a per-hit basis... so an enemy with an A rating or higher in armor can give her trouble and cut down her damage potential substantially without any buffs or debuffs.
  • All-Loving Heroine: Just about the closest thing the Crapsack World of Arknights can have to one. Despite the world being in the state it's in, she's still positive and upbeat, and does her best to keep her teammates upbeat and to help those in need (which seemingly contributes to her being broke most of the time).
  • Art Evolution: Over the course of a year, no less. In the artwork for her skins, her hair becomes a much brighter shade of traditional red, whereas her original art has her hair as a rustier kind of red that trends toward purple.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: She lacks the attention span for things other than maintaining and operating her gun.
  • Awesome, but Impractical: Her Overloading Mode is the glorious embodiment of More Dakka. While it is active, Exusiai is capable of obscene levels of DPS, enough to reduce most enemies to paste in a few bursts. It is also an Auto skill with a short duration and long-ish cooldown, meaning that you can't determine when to trigger it to make the most of its damage, and if left alone, Exusiai can and will pop it on her own, sometimes when nothing is going on, therefore wasting a precious charge that would have otherwise been vital in a later fight.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's a cheerful and friendly girl, but she's also an incredibly deadly markswoman capable of mowing down enemies with tons of bullets.
  • Bifauxnen: Because she tends to wear clothing that doesn't emphasize her chest and she keeps her hair quite short, it's easy to mistake her for a very pretty young man at first glance.
  • Bilingual Bonus: During in-game missions, she often shouts "Deo volente!", which translates to "God willing" in Latin.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: Mostima notes that despite her innate skills, Exusiai used to fall asleep in class all the time while they were in school.
  • Casual Danger Dialogue: In Chapter 3, Exusiai seems so relaxed when fighting the Reunion members, and she even asks Texas out for a drink.
  • Crutch Character: Downplayed.
    • Her kit is dependent on unloading a LOT of dakka, but it struggles against high-DEF enemies. Defense is a direct reduction to damage, and multi-hit attacks calculate each hit individually. Exusiai has very limited means of buffing her attack and while she will shred early-game enemies that don't have that much DEF, she struggles against late-game content when just about everything has so much defense that she deals Scratch Damage.
    • Made even worse is that other Snipers such as GreyThroat (who can deal critical hits, with her crits increasing ATK before checking DEF) and Blue Poison (who can inflict DoT) can do the same thing, just not as well but also not being walled by late-game content. But despite all of these setbacks, Exusiai is still widely considered the golden standard for Marksman Snipers, even into the endgame, and her drawbacks can easily be solved with damage buffing operators.
  • Destructive Savior: Archetto mentions that Exusiai is infamous for blowing up her own school no less than seventeen times in a three-year period.
  • Dissonant Serenity: When Amiya is reminding everyone that Misha's Oripathy needs immediate attention, Exusiai quickly asks if Misha is going to explode soon. Texas had to hit Exusiai because of this remark.
  • Double Tap: Her S1 is a Triple Tap. She also unlocks a Quadruple Tap skill at Elite 1, and a Quintuple Tap skill at Elite 2.
  • Dub Name Change: Exusiai's case is a little complicated in that both her Japanese dub name and her English dub name differ from the original Chinese in different ways. Her name in the original Chinese is "能天使"note , meaning "Power Angel", referring to the order of Powers (also known as Authorities) in the angelic hierarchy. In Japanese, "能天使" became "Exia" (エクシア), pronounced the same way as the Gundam of the same name, which in turn was presumably named after the Greek term for an angel in the order of Powers: an Exousia (ἐξουσία). At the same time, in English, "能天使" became "Exusiai", after the plural, or collective term, for angels in that order: Exousiai (ἐξουσίαι). This name is basically pronounced the way it's spelled after the original Greek, but the obscurity of the English name's origins and the relative accessibility of the Japanese voice acting in the game led to many players pronouncing her name... like the Gundam.
  • Fun Personified: She never had a difficult childhood as she only loved happy things, which made her grew into a happy optimist.
  • Gun Nut: The darker shade and interpretation of her character is this; her profile does note that keeping her firearms maintained and practiced-with is the thing that best keeps her attention. A few of her quotes make it clear that she loves guns, loves collecting guns, and loves shooting things with guns. Fortunately, her first wish is granted if she's promoted to E2.
Exusiai: My first wish: to receive eight new guns! We angels all have our own guns for defense, but owning just one gun is so lame, right?
  • Holy Halo: She has a typical white ring on top of her head, but it glows brightly in her Elite 2 artwork. According to Fiammetta and Exusiai herself once promoted to E2, it's annoyingly bright compared to other Sanktas (as opposed to Mostima's, which is darker than usual)
Exusiai: "My second wish... find someone to help me turn off this light over my head!"
  • Image Song: "Speed of Light".
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: She lands every shot she fires despite spraying her SMG at mach speed from the hip.
  • Informed Ability: Exusiai is described as something of a Stealth Expert in her bio, specializing in covert communications and "other undercover activities". During gameplay, she's a Highly-Visible Ninja due to her bright white shirt and glowing halo, and her weapon is anything but stealthy. Her Vitafield costume does stay closer to this description than her default uniform, but not by a whole lot.
  • The Kirk: Of the Texas-Lappland-Exusiai trio in the Trading Post facility. Her presence reconciles the Texas-Lappland conflict, removing the morale penalty and allowing the Trading Post to operate at peak efficiency. Notably, Exusiai is also the only member of the trio who has an effect on the Trading Post completely independent of the other two — she will boost its efficiency regardless of whether Texas or Lappland are present.
  • More Dakka: In a world where firearms are fairly rare, Exusiai, being Lateran, has access to comparatively advanced guns that are almost always fully automatic; her initial appearance and her skins have her using a Kriss Vector (painted in the exact colors of the Vector of Girls' Frontline, no less) and her Elite 2 art has a whole array of rifles fanning out behind her like wings, with her holding an M16 variant. Her activatable skills all reflect her usage of full-auto weapons (with her second and third skills basically boiling down to "hold down the trigger, then spray and pray"). To help with this, her Fast Cartridge talent increases the amount of Dakka she can put out by increasing her ASPD by 6 (12 at Elite 2).
  • Mythical Motifs: Angels, due to her Sankta race.
  • The Navigator: In Chapter 2, Exusiai served as the guide for the Misha rescue team's extraction via a radio device and when they had no other escape routes left. She explains that she knows Lungmen "like the back of her hand", had left behind penguin stickers to mark her hidden passages, and helped the team to navigate the place by roofhopping.
  • Nice Girl: Exusiai is quite the sweet and upbeat girl, which is quite notable considering the game's overall setting. She even gently reassures the Doctor not to worry should the mission fail.
Exusiai: "Even a well-made gun will jam sometimes. Life is no different, so don't worry about it~"
  • Noodle Incident: She mentions in "Code of Brawl" that she once woke up hungover, stuck in a car with a very emotionally charged Texas at the wheel. It was not a very good time.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Anything to do with Mostima will make her more sober up and become unnaturally serious, to the point where she becomes almost angry whenever she's brought up. Even when she's trying to be cheerful about it, the way Mostima constantly drifts away from her breaks her heart.
  • Our Angels Are Different: Exusiai is a Sankta, who resemble traditional depictions of angels. This pretty much boils down to her having a halo of sorts above her head and small energy "wings" coming out of her back at all times, regardless of her clothes (the wings aren't attached to her body). The wings, for better or worse, don't allow her to fly. It's worth noting that, aside from this, Exusiai is a comparatively normal flesh-and-blood humanoid — one angelic trait the Sankta leave out is the idea of being related to souls of the departed. In the end, they're just people.
  • Powerful, but Inaccurate: Her 3rd skill, Overloading Mode grants the biggest damage boost while lowering her attack interval, allowing her to mow down hordes of low-defense enemies single-handedly. The downside is that it's automatically activated, so unless you impeccably timed her deployment, there's a good chance she won't have it up when it's actually needed. It does charge quickly though, so overall it's still good to have unless timing is absolutely essential for a mission, in which case some players may choose to use her weaker but manual S2.
  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: Just before she kills a mook in the cutscene of Operation 3-3.
Exusiai: "Hey, Mister Reunion guy? This bullet is my gift to you. Make sure to accept it with gratitude—"
  • Religious and Mythological Theme Naming:
    • "Exusiai"/"Exia", or "exousia"/"ἐξουσία", the root of the name, means "authority" in Koine Greek.
    • In angelology, the Exusiai are the "Authorities", the angels who supervise the movements of the heavenly bodies.
    • Her real name, Lemuel, is based off of an ancient biblical king and is Hebrew for "devoted to God".
  • Status Buff: Exusiai's Elite 2 talent Angel's Blessings increases her ATK by 6% and her Max HP by 10%, and she can give this same stat buff to a random ally as soon as she's deployed. Her Module buffs the stat amount and lets her give the buff to two allies.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: According to Archetto, who came to the same school that she and Mostima did, Exusiai was something of a minor legend for blowing up the place 17 times in just three years - which was elaborated on in the flavor text of her Module. "Guide Ahead" shows Laterano as having explosions on the regular.
  • Super Gullible: Sora mentions that when Exusiai first joined Penguin Logistics, she was so trusting of everybody that she was very prone to getting tricked and scammed until Texas taught her what to look for.
  • Those Two Girls: She's often depicted alongside Texas, who she has a close and understanding relationship with. Even so far as them having incredible tacit coordination.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Apple pie. She mentions it in one of her Assistant voice lines and as a fairly-common battle line, and the "Code of Brawl" story event shows she tries to serve it at all the parties that Penguin Logistics has.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Texas and Exusiai don't appear to get along super well (Tex notes in Ex's profile that they're kind of polar opposites in terms of personality) and they do snark on each other occasionally, but they're very close companions and partners. They have a very unique ability to tacitly communicate with each other. They are also the only characters in the game who comment on each other's profiles.
  • V-Sign: Exusiai does the "peace sign" in her initial artwork.
  • Weak, but Skilled: She's this when compared to many other high-rarity snipers; Exusiai's attack stat isn't as high as most of theirs (although her second talent slightly improves it). However, she makes up for this with her skills which do absurd amounts of damage through the sheer volume of attacks. Also, her first talent Fast Cartridge boosts her attack rate and Angel's Blessings marginally boosts her HP.
  • Winged Humanoid: Her wings aren't very big, but as a Sankta, she does count, and her wings are usually pretty visible. Her Elite 2 artwork even has multiple rifles overlaying her actual wings.
  • You Never Asked: In her Operator Record, Penguin Logistics is surprised to hear that her missing sister is actually alive and well, despite Exusiai never actually saying that she was dead. When questioned about it, she said she was perfectly willing to talk about the subject, but they just never brought it up to her.

'Fartooth' Knight Justyna will never miss.
Rarity: ★★★★★★
ID: No. 430
Subclass: Deadeye
Tags: DPS
Skills: Swift Strike·Type γ, Ally Support, Feathershine Arrows
Talents: Concentration, Stilled Breath
Affiliation: Pinus Sylvestris Knightclub - Kazimierz
Race: Liberi
Birthday: October 10
Height: 155cm

"'Fartooth' Justyna, Pinus Sylvestris Knightclub. You can call me Fartooth. I've heard about Rhodes Island and you in particular, Doctor."

A stoic independent knight of Kazimierz who sought to found her own Knightclub despite her status as an Infected, before joining Pinus Sylvestris. She is now stationed at Rhodes Island as part of a collaborative agreement.

  • Abnormal Ammo: Closer inspection of her weapon shows that the projectiles loaded into her weapon aren't arrows, but large corkscrew-shaped sword blades that she nonetheless fires like regular bolts. Her initial art shows that they can be attached to a hilt she carries to function as actual swords.
  • Always Accurate Attack: At Elite 2, she gets a talent that causes her attacks to completely ignore enemy evasion while her skills are active. This is generally a Situational Sword considering that not many enemies have evasion, but it also has the effect of decreasing her aggro so that she doesn't get attacked while firing away.
  • Animal Motifs: The Eurasian goshawk, due to the streaks in her hair.
  • Broken Pedestal: Averted, actually. For a regular village girl with idealistic dreams of the Kazimierz knights, she was surprisingly unshaken when she discovered the truth behind the now-corrupt system, due to her role model the Radiant Knight being living proof that her ideal of knighthood wasn't dead.
  • Country Mouse: Fartooth had humble beginnings as a simple farmer but was eventually able to earn her knighthood. She still has a soft spot for her country life, and can often be seen reminiscing about her past in her spare time.
  • Gathering Steam: Her first talent will give her an ATK boost if she doesn't take any damage for 10 seconds, which only resets if she gets hit. Considering her specialty in long range, it's fairly easy to activate this condition.
  • Image Song: "Bridge to the Dawn".
  • Jack of All Trades: Her remarkable strength aside, part of what made Fartooth so renowned in the Major is her ability to quickly and flexibly fill in nearly any role on a team depending on the needs of her teammates. In game, this is reflected in her ability to provide both heavy direct firepower and flexible supporting fire depending on which skill she has equipped.
  • Knight in Sour Armor: Even though she achieved her dream of becoming a knight, Fartooth has found herself yearning to return to her roots in the country.
  • Long-Range Fighter: Comes with her Deadeye subclass. However, Fartooth can take this to an even further extreme with her S2, which gives her infinite range against blocked enemies, and her S3, which gives her infinite range in a direct line in front of her alongside bonus damage against enemies outside of her regular range.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: At a tiny 155 cm, Fartooth is the shortest member of Pinus Sylvestris (whose playable members are all fairly short to begin with), but is also considered its most powerful individual member.
  • Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: During the "Maria Nearl" event, Fartooth was supposed to be Maria's partner in her final match, but went missing after she reportedly got into a fight with another knight's fans. However, it was heavily implied she was assassinated by the Armorless Union. It's later revealed in the "Pinus Sylvestris" that she's alive and well.
  • The Stoic: Rarely expresses herself and has a succint, fragmented method of speaking that often confuses her peers further until she chooses to elaborate. However, those who get to know her find that she's surprisingly gentle.
  • You Can't Go Home Again: Despite her yearnings to return to her homeland in the country, Fartooth knows that as both a competitive knightess and an Infected, that remains a pipe dream.

    Fiammetta

Fiammetta, senior special correspondent of the Laterano Notarial Hall, will persevere to the end once a goal has been set.
Rarity: ★★★★★★
ID: No. 300
Subclass: Artilleryman
Tags: DPS
Skills: 'Provocate', 'Paenitete', 'Reponite'
Talents: Sufferer of Tribulations, Herald of Revelations
Affiliation: Laterano
Race: Liberi
Birthday: April 3
Height: 171cm

"My duty's to monitor Mostima, so I'll be acting alongside her here, if you don't mind. You need a codename? ...Just call me Fiammetta. I've had enough of those codenames my bosses keep giving me."

A Laterano agent tasked with keeping track of Mostima's movements and actions on top of her own ever-changing assignments.

  • Actress Allusion: One of the codenames Mostima mentions in Fiammetta's operator preview post on Weibo is "Substitute Soul Reaper": a reference to Bleach, where Fiammetta's Japanese voice actress famously voiced Rukia, one of the main characters.
  • All for Nothing: Part of the reason she keeps track of Mostima is to use her Black Lock and White Key as bait for Andoain under the belief that he will eventually come back for the items he betrayed his squad for. Come the "Guide Ahead" event, Andoain pays no attention at all to the Lock and Key. Similarly, Fiammetta's archive file mentions that she has Andoain's guardian gun to use as the new bait, but when he was disarmed in the climax of "Guide Ahead" Andoain was content with leaving his guardian gun behind. Thus, Fiammetta's second plot was a futile one from the outset.
  • Bayonet Ya: Her smaller gun has a knife at the end that looks like it can be detached, but we never see her use it.
  • Best Served Cold: The day Lemuen fell into a coma and Mostima became a fallen Sankta, Andoain had quickly gone missing, forcing Fiammetta to bide her time for eight years waiting for the chance to confront him and make him pay. Mostima asserts in "Guide Ahead" that one reason she decided to become her guardian was to use her Lock and Key as bait to catch Andoain. Later, when Andoain escapes, the bait becomes his own guardian gun, now in Fiammetta's possession.
  • Bodyguarding a Badass: She's a custodian to Mostima, which entails that she protect her, but Mostima herself possesses some of the most powerful Arts in Rhodes Island, and Fiammetta, while exceptional in her own right, simply doesn't have the raw power to match those granted by a dangerous ancient artifact. That said, Mostima does acknowledge Fiammetta as her proper protector come "Guide Ahead", and her affinity for Arts is basically the only thing she explicitly has over her assigned keeper.
  • Breaking the Fellowship: Fiammetta took the fallout of the Kazdel Incident pretty hard, as it permanently shattered the tight knit Notarial Hall team consisting of her, Mostima, Lemuen, and Andoain. Mostima became a fallen Sankta, Lemuen was put in a coma for five years, and Andoain fled and became a fugitive.
  • Broken Pedestal: Fiammetta is this to her Liberi junior, Patia, and their relationship puts a gray twist on the trope. Patia is implied to have admired Fiammetta as a colleague and senior long before "Guide Ahead" due to Fiammetta being a skilled, well-respected Liberi in a Sankta-dominated force, but her view of Fiammetta is challenged and eventually broken when Fiammetta tells her that she doesn't share Patia's hatred of Sankta, and she cares less about Patia's ideals and fighting against their oppressors than she does about bringing Andoain to justice for Mostima and Lemuen (who, Patia bitterly notes, are both Sankta).
  • Butt-Monkey: She tends to get saddled with hilarious and embarassing codenames for every mission, and gets ribbed at by Mostima and Lemuen a lot for it.
  • Declaration of Protection: When Patia, a Liberi, asks Fiammetta why she's so adamant on fighting for Laterano and the Liberis' Sankta oppressors despite being a Liberi herself, Fiammetta says all of that doesn't matter to her, and that she simply wants to protect Lemuen and Mostima after letting the tragedy in Kazdel happen to them.
  • Difficult, but Awesome:
    • Fiammetta's third skill, Reponite, is extremely powerful, but it only blasts the furthest tile of her attack range, requiring proper positioning to make the most out of the blast radius - positioning that is highly dependent on whether the map provides such an opportunity in the first place. This is also on top of needing support from a healer to keep her constantly draining HP topped up to maintain her sizable 25-50% ATK buff from her first talent. Once the conditions are met, Fiammetta can and will blast everything to smithereens.
    • Her second skill Paenitete is often used due to having less restrictive positioning needs than her S3, but it in itself is also subject to small "sweet spots" enemies will be hit by the maximum number of overlapping explosions. Miss the sweetspot and the damage will "only" be average to high, hit it and even bulky targets will be blown apart.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Fiammetta first appeared in "Code of Brawl", one of the game's earliest events, and only became Promoted to Playable in "Guide Ahead", over two years afterwards.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Much to Fiammetta's annoyance, her codename is constantly changed from mission to mission, and they are all typically embarrassing or nonsensical. The latest one she is given in Mostima's operator record is One Armed Chainsaw Guy.
  • Empathic Healer: Her second infrastructure skill lets her be a variant of this. When Fiammetta is in a dorm and is in the Energetic state, she'll exchange her Morale with the last operator to enter it (other than herself), essentially restoring their Morale at the cost of her own. While most infrastructure skills run on Gameplay and Story Integration, there's no explanation how Fiammetta does this in-universe.
  • Fiery Redhead: Both literally and figuratively. She has red hair, a notable Hair-Trigger Temper, and wields pyrokinetic Arts.
  • Firing One-Handed: Fiammetta fires both of her grenade launchers with one hand. It's not as strange for the one in her left, which is small enough to pass as something that can be aimed and fired with one hand, but the one in her right is about half the size of her body, taking this trope a bit far.
  • Foreign Cuss Word: During her confrontation with Andoain in "Guide Ahead", Fiammetta exclaims "Pedicabo ego te et irrumabo!", a slightly modified excerpt from Catullus 16 which is regarded as "one of the filthiest expressions ever written" in any language and roughly translates to "I will sodomize and face-fuck you".
  • Full Health Bonus: Depending on her current HP amount, she will gain certain levels of Vigor buffs via her first talent. The healthier she is, the stronger her Vigor. Of course, she will need handholding from Medics to both retain the buff and simply stay alive in general; see Living on Borrowed Time below.
  • Gleeful and Grumpy Pairing: The scowling grumpy half to Mostima's smiling, affable gleeful half, though it's played with in that Mostima is a Stepford Smiler.
  • Gratuitous Latin: The English translation of the game further translates all of her skill names into Latin.note  During "Guide Ahead", she also speaks Latin a few times when she's truly incensed.
  • Grenade Spam: Her 3rd skill lets her constantly bombard the 4th square right in front of her with her grenade launcher. And she won't stop even if there's no enemy in sight, unless told to.
  • Guns Akimbo: She wields what seem to be two different grenade launchers at once as an operator.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Has virtually zero tolerance for joking around and can easily get inflamed at the slightest provocation. In particular, anything to do with Andoain really sets her off.
  • Happily Adopted: Her Operator Record mentions that her parents left her in the care of an Apostolic Gun-Knight, who raised her as his own granddaughter. Fiammetta does care deeply for him even if she doesn't say it outright.
  • I Have Many Names: Fiammetta's codename changes on a monthly basis by the Laterano Notarial Hall. Her appearance in "Code of Brawl" alone had her name go back and forth between "Suffering?", "Chosen Overseer?" and "Treasure Guardian?", although at the time she was officially just using "Suffering". At the end of "Guide Ahead", her codename for the next month became "Dawn Destroyer".
  • Image Song: “Eternal Flame”.
  • It's All My Fault: A conversation with Mostima implies that Fiammetta blames herself for failing to stop Mostima from doing whatever she did that made her become a fallen Sankta, which is why she subsequently volunteered to become Mostima's watcher. "Guide Ahead" reveals that she does feel guilty about letting Lemuen get hurt and allowing Mostima to become fallen, even when the two don't blame her for it.
  • Living on Borrowed Time: Her first talent causes her HP to deteriorate over time, similar to Geek Specialists. However, the HP draining effect will stop if she is at exactly 1 HP. Of course, at that point, she will kick the bucket if an enemy so much as looks at her funny, unless she has her ART-X Module which caps the HP loss at 50% of her maximum.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Most of Fiammetta's grievances stem from the fact that as a Liberi, she's unable to tap into the Sankta's empathetic Hive Mind and has no way of tacitly understanding the feelings of her Sankta cohorts like they understand each other, nor comprehend Mostima and Lemuen's thoughts during the incident that injured Lemuen. This isn't helped by the fact that possibly because of being used to this empathy, neither Mostima, Lemuen, nor Andoain bother to try and explain just how they were able to reconcile, leaving Fiammetta with only confusion and rage.
  • The Movie Buff: It turns out Fiammetta knows a lot about movies, and has strong opinions on them, hating trashy ones with lots of explosions in them and being particular enough to turn down an invitation to Rhodes Island's movie club. Many of her codenames come from movies she hates, and in "Code of Brawl" she calls Mostima a bad actor and a "ham".
  • Multi-Ranged Master: Aside from her two different grenade launchers, Fiammetta was also shown to be skilled at using crossbows in Mostima's Operator Record. These skills, as well as her knowledge of Sankta guns, seem to come from her upbringing in Laterano; she was raised to use ranged weapons, but she couldn't master traditional Sankta-style gun Arts despite all her efforts to do so.
  • Mysterious Watcher: Fiammetta is implied to have been watching Mostima (and by extension, Penguin Logistics) the entire night of "Code of Brawl". The only people who know she was there are Yith, who she only spoke to because he had Mostima's staff; Mostima herself; and Emperor, who claims to be omniscient.
  • Mythical Motifs: The phoenix, and her NPC datafiles were named as such. Her constantly changing codename can refer to the phoenix being 'reborn'. Her Elite 2 art, as well as her skill animations, make her phoenix influences far more obvious.
  • Necessary Drawback:
    • Fiammetta's first talent, "Sufferer of Tribulations" ("陈述苦难"note ), named after her codename in "Code of Brawl" ("苦难陈述者"note ), boosts her ATK by certain amounts based on certain HP thresholds, with higher HP giving her a higher boost. On the flipside, her HP decreases constantly while deployed, meaning she needs support to stay at full power.
    • Fiammetta's second base skill is very powerful, allowing her to trade her Morale with another operator if her Morale is completely restored, making her a sort of Morale battery. To limit this, her first base skill fixes her Morale recovery rate to 2 per hour (which is the same as the base recovery rate of a max-Ambience dorm) no matter the Ambience of the dorm she's in or the other dorm skills of operators she's with.
  • Real Name As Alias: "Fiammetta" is all but stated to be her real name, chosen as her Rhodes Island codename because she's so sick of the Notarial Hall giving her insane codenames.
  • Sacred Flames: This seems to be where her motif as a phoenix connects her to Laterano. She was a Liberi with fire Arts born and raised among Sankta, and her debut banner was titled "Flame of Immaculacy", suggesting it's holy in nature. Ironically, in the event she debuted with, mentions of flame as a holy symbol are used more as a metaphor of Andoain's flawed, challenged view of "salvation".
  • Stance System: Her S3 is one of those skills that are toggleable and have an unlimited duration. She can use this to switch from her default attack style to one that practically turns her into an actual artillery weapon, firing huge blasts in a specific area relative to her range, and only there.
  • Steven Ulysses Perhero: "Fiammetta", which is all but stated to be her given name, means roughly "little fiery one" or "little flame" in Italiannote . Fittingly, her motif as a Liberi is the phoenix, and she grew up to wield fire-based Arts.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Yes, she's a phoenix with fire powers, but she's also a highly accomplished member of the Notarial Hall, and is so skilled an operative that she has a seat reserved in the Apostolic Gun Knights, who had historically been comprised of only Sankta.
  • Revenge Before Reason: In her final confrontation with Andoain, she bluntly tells him that she knows that the people he's wronged have forgiven him, and that her taking revenge on him will accomplish nothing, but she's still dead-set on taking vengeance on him just for the sake of it.
"I want revenge for the sake of getting my goddamned revenge! Do you get that, Andoain? [...] I don't care if it's irrational, meaningless, or futile - when I make up my mind to do something, I do it!"
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Mostima teases her about her codenames and plays pranks on her at any chance, and Fiammetta has no qualms snarking at her and getting payback for said pranks, but "Guide Ahead" reveals that deep down Mostima wants Fiammetta to be free of her guilt over letting her and Lemuen get hurt, and Fiammetta cares about the both of them enough to be angry on their behalf.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Fiammetta used to be close comrades with Andoain, but she could never forgive him for the Kazdel incident that left Lemuen badly hurt and Mostima fallen. Even after boarding Rhodes Island she hunts him down, hoping to take her revenge on him.
Lemuen forgives you. Mostima forgives you. All of Laterano may forgive you... I WILL NOT.

"Firewatch here. I'm a sniper. To avenge my fallen clan, I need all the power I can get."

A sniper with a single-minded focus on revenge on the group that exterminated her entire clan.

  • Animal Motifs: Reindeers.
  • Artifact Title: "Firewatch" is the name of her old group. It's unclear why she chose this as her callsign, as even her former teammate Meteorite finds it confusing since it holds no particularly significant meaning to either of them, and Firewatch herself isn't keen on explaining.
  • Cold Sniper: One who uses a crossbow and can fade into shadows, making her undetectable. She also hardly shows any emotion at all, since she believes showing emotion is weakness and would get in the way of her desire for revenge.
  • Death from Above: Starting from Elite 1, Firewatch can use an additional skill called Tactical Transceiver, which lets her call down two (up to three) artillery strikes onto random enemies within her targeting range to deal massive damage.
  • Due to the Dead: Her codename is actually the name of her old resistance group, who have long since been wiped out.
  • Hidden Depths: Whenever she's alone, she can be seen playing the harmonica.
  • Horned Humanoid: She has a pair of antlers going out the sides of her head, owing to her Animal Motif.
  • Long-Range Fighter: More so than other snipers, in that she gets three extra grids to her sides, and an extra grid beyond her max range at Elite 1. This enables her to put Assassin Outclassin' into practice much easier.
  • Magikarp Power: At first blush, Firewatch is an okay-ish Sniper with pretty unremarkable abilities, her slightly-higher damage notwithstanding. After promoting her to Elite, however, the difference is night and day, especially considering her new skill, which is Grenade Spam ramped up, allowing her to nuke high-HP targets or big mobs into oblivion. Not for nothing that her class tag has "Nuker" attached to it.
    • And you're not even done there. Both of her skills are only okay-ish at level 7, and would require further investment into Mastery training if one is to make the most out of her. Of note is Tactical Transceiver, which will only drop two bombs at level 7, while Mastery 1 will already allow Firewatch to drop 3, thus substantially increasing her damage potential.
  • Mighty Glacier: Firewatch is slow, very slow in fact. The tradeoff to her high damage per hit is her crossbow's single-shot nature, which puts a crimp on her fire rate. While this may be of little consequence during low-level farming, Firewatch can really struggle against mass air or Reunion ranged units on higher difficulties, where their sheer volume of fire could overwhelm her before she could deal meaningful damage to them.
  • No Ontological Inertia: In a weird roundabout fashion. If the enemies targeted by Firewatch's Tactical Transceiver dies before the bombs land, the skill will be cancelled and the entire SP cost refunded.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: She joined up with Rhodes Island solely to pursue her desire to avenge the destruction of her village. In her Operator Record, it is shown that her revenge crusade is detrimental to her health, because she's so tunnel-visioned to nothing but her vengeance. It's implied that she was going to die of natural exposure on her own, and not her enemies, had Rhodes Island not come across her dying, impotently lashing out at anyone.
  • Sole Survivor: Of her clan.
  • The Sneaky Gal: Her first skill Camouflage makes her untargetable by ranged attacks and totally immune to ranged damage for its duration. Notably, she was the first Operator to utilize the status.
  • The Stoic: She rarely ever emotes, and on the off-chance something pisses her off enough for her to show it, things are prone to get very messy.
  • Tranquil Fury: A byproduct of her being The Stoic. If she stops being tranquil, you know things are about to go really bad for the other party.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Meteorite. She even quotes this trope verbatim. However, after her hometown was destroyed, Firewatch put a bigger priority on getting revenge than rebuilding friendships, leaving her relationship with Meteorite tense and awkward.

"So you're the Doctor? Amiya told me about you. I'm GreyThroat; please don't disappoint me."

A member of Rhodes Island since a young age, her childhood trauma has given her a deep-seated fear of Originium and the Infected.

  • Animal Motifs: Silver-backed needletails. Her codename came from the Chinese name of these birds, 灰喉针尾雨燕 (Grey-throated Needletail Swallow).
  • Brutal Honesty: Whenever she speaks, she's extremely blunt and is not afraid to talk about sensitive topics. This has given many people the wrong impression that she is mean or heartless.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Her parents (both were Originium researchers, and her dad was also a doctor) rescued a group of Infected, only for their patients to become rioters overnight and drag her dad away from her and her mom (with his corpse discovered several months later). After she and her mom reached Rhodes Island, her mom left her with them and disappeared, never to be found. This trauma made her resent both Originium and Oripathy.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: In her initial artwork, GreyThroat wears a knee guard on her left leg. This gets averted in her Elite 2 artwork, where she wears identical stockings instead.
  • Kill Him Already!: In the post-battle scene of 6-3, she has Faust at her mercy, but ends up letting him go because she sees that his will to fight is already gone.
  • More Dakka: In a different flavor to Exusiai and other fast Snipers, GreyThroat fires additional projectiles per attack with her S1, and her S2 allows her to rapidly unload three shots in rapid succession.
  • No Social Skills: She's generally a loner who doesn't like to associate with others. The only other operators she's close to are Amiya and Blaze.
  • Parental Abandonment: She lost her father to an Infected mob, and her mother vanished after leaving her to Rhodes Island.
  • Terrified of Germs: GreyThroat has an extreme aversion towards Originium. She once scrubbed her own arm raw with sandpaper just because she accidentally touched an Originium-based device.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: In "Twilight of Wolumonde", GreyThroat is shown to be less prejudiced toward the Infected, as long as she can save more people. The flavor text for her Homecoming skin even describes her as neglecting her own safety if it means she can contribute better to rescue operations.
  • Tragic Keepsake: She actually has three keepsakes.
    • Her Token is her father's scalpel.
    • After Faust dies in 6-7, GreyThroat retrieves his broken, bloodied crossbow.
    • Her Module is revealed to be the items her mom left her before she vanished.
  • Troubled Sympathetic Bigot: She hated the Infected (and anything to do with Originium) due to what happened to her parents. However, Amiya has been slowly helping her, and by the present date she, while still avoiding the Infected if possible, doesn't really show malice towards them anymore if she has to interact with them. In fact, her E2 profile shows a situation where she's the first person to rescue and give first aid to a fellow, Infected operator while visibly trembling in fear of their Oripathy. Her profile states that it will still take time for her trauma and associated prejudice to finally be gone, but she's steadily improving.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: She develops this relationship with Blaze after Episode 6, with them slowly accepting each other despite their different status and their very upfront remarks about their discontent with each other.

"Hello, Doctor. This equipment was my graduation project. My initial plan was to... huh? Putting it into service? Dios mío, so this is the "Doctor's Thesis Defense" that Closure talked about?"

An alternate version of Greyy, who after years of training under Rhodes Island Op Mechanist, became a member of R.I Engineering Department.

  • Forgets to Eat: His operator file mentions he has a tendency to pass out from hypoglycemia in the middle of a project because he doesn't stop to eat.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: His English-dubbed voiceline is him blurting out "Dios Mio" during his "Onboard" line.
  • The One Guy: Greyy is the first male Alter version to be released and was the only male Alter Operator among the roster for a time before the release of Executor the Ex Foedere.
  • Parental Abandonment: While Greyy's parents are missing and already presumed dead, further investigation by Rhodes Island HR reveals that Greyy's parents were likely assassinated by the Columbian MegaCorp Volvort Kochinski after Greyy's mother stole some equipment from them related to a new, revolutionary power source.
  • Took a Level in Badass: He's no longer the meek and shy boy when he was a Caster, and is a full fledged field Operator now, not afraid to put his life on the line to help others.
  • Vocal Evolution: In English, Greyy's Caster version has a soft, feminine voice. His Lightningbearer version has a more developed, masculine voice to signify his growth.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: Even after maturing a little during his time at Rhodes Island, Greyy's idealism and optimism haven't been dampened at all and he maintains faith in the good that Rhodes Island and technology can bring.
  • Workaholic: Some of the biggest complaints and concerns other Operators have about Greyy is that he tends to focus a little too much on his work, very often neglecting his own health in the process.
  • Your Days Are Numbered: Discussed in one of Greyy's homescreen voice lines where he talks of how he's spending time reading more as of late as having Oripathy means that his days are far limited than those who are not infected with Oripathy.

"Personnel from Laterano Notarial Hall have arrived, and this is the relevant cooperation document. May I ask which office I should proceed to next? This is crucial for Rhodes Island's first impression of me, and I mustn't make any mistakes."

An executor of the Laterano Notarial Hall, having joined Rhodes Island on Executor's recommendation.

  • Actually Pretty Funny: In his Operator Record, he finds out that the reason practically half of Laterano is chasing him when he's trying to deliver a sensitive document is due to the request of a recently deceased Lateran who wanted someone to reenact the day he proposed to his wife where he had to evade a mob after the same document. The document in question? A secret donut recipe. Despite having what is essentially an elaborate prank pulled on him, Insider actually finds it very endearing that Laterans would invest so much effort into something so innocent and heartwarming.
  • Animal Motifs: His last name, 'Colombo' means 'dove', and he's surrounded by several of them in his Elite 2 art. Notable since, as a Sankta, his primary motif is that of angels.
  • Badass Bureaucrat: Is a given considering that this is the Notarial Hall's shared hat.
  • Bottomless Magazines: Actually averts this as both of his skills use ammo, and his talent increases the ammo capacity of himself and another Laterano operator that uses ammo. Played straight for his normal attacks however.
  • Boring, but Practical: Insider has a much more straightforward kit compared to other 5-star Marksman Snipers, specializing entirely on frontloaded damage. However, he boasts the strongest ATK buff among his archetype in his S2, an ammo mechanic to ensure no wasted uptime on said skill, and is a welfare unit with most of his power accessible at Elite 1, making him a highly affordable and efficient choice.
  • Breaking Old Trends: He's the first non-Integrated Strategies 5-star male Marksman Sniper, and also the first to be added after over four years.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: He's just as skilled as any other Notarial Hall agent, and can easily handle any crisis. However, he prefers to avoid tough jobs and instead focuses on smaller cases; if required to do a difficult job, he will require compensation in the form of generous overtime pay.
  • The Cameo: His first appearance is as a Notarial Hall worker in "Guide Ahead" trying and failing to stop Executor from investigating Oren before becoming playable in "Hortus de Escapismo".
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Unlike most other Sankta, Insider was born an impoverished orphan in Siracusa who had the fortune of being discovered by a Notarial Hall team and taken to Laterano.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: He has a major Sweet Tooth even among Laterans, and one of his Elite 2 promotion materials is a hefty 15 Sugar Packs.
  • Hidden Depths: One of his hobbies is baking donuts. This is manifested in his RIIC skill Donut Party, which buffs the morale recovery of himself and another operator garrisoned to the dorm with him.
  • Hollywood Silencer: His Elite 2 art shows his gun equipped with one, which is presumably the source of his taunt level reduction on his second skill.
  • Holy Halo: Has one as a Sankta.
  • Karma Houdini: He ultimately gets off scot free despite being Oren's co-conspirator in "Guide Ahead", mainly because there isn't enough hard evidence to implicate him and he could always feign ignorance if Oren sold him out.
  • The Mole: In "Guide Ahead" he is actually working with Oren to help him capture Cecelia.
''Hmm, you're leaving? Not even going to say goodbye? Well, alright then... Now that you're gone... Don't blame me, Oren. I can't stop Federico. I'll put in a report for you. That's about all I can do."
  • Mythical Motifs: Angels, due to his Sankta race.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Insider typically presents himself as a dorky, happy go lucky individual. However, this hides a much more cunning, calculating mind, as he's a secret collaborator with Oren and "Hortus de Escapismo" reveals that he knows about the existence of the Seaborn and the threat they pose to humanity. Ostensibly, he acts like this so his superiors won't assign him dangerous jobs.
  • Promoted to Playable: Became playable with the "Hortus de Escapismo" event.
  • Situational Sword: At the time of "Hortus de Escapismo" release, only other Laterano operator that uses ammo - and thus benefit from Insider's talent buff - is Executor the Ex Foedere. If Executor is not fielded then Insider's talent only buffs himself.
  • Sweet Tooth: To a greater extent than even other Laterans, the point where the donuts he makes can make even other Laterans feel sick. His profile speculates that his extreme sweet tooth came from him trying sweets for the first time in Laterano after leaving Siracusa. Lampshaded in his potential token:
A handwritten dessert recipe. With proportions finetuned to Insider's own personal tastes, the sugar content ABSOLUTELY exceeds recommended guidelines! This one's a pick-me-up!
  • Temporary Online Content: He is the welfare operator of "Hortus de Escapismo" and is not obtainable outside of the event.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: He agreed with Oren's way of dealing with threats before it become worse - which led to him helping Oren capturing Cecelia in "Guide Ahead" and barring the door of the Ambrose Monastery in "Hortus de Escapismo". To be fair, he was preparing for those in communion to consume spiked bread and turn into Seaborn, which he was barely too late to prevent.
  • Winged Humanoid: Has wings shaped like rectangle pieces.

"Um, are you the Doctor? Nice to meet you. I'm Jessica from Blacksteel Worldwide. Sorry, I-I'm really bad at introducing myself..."

A timid and panicky operator from Blacksteel, currently stationed at Rhodes Island as part of an exchange training program.

  • Animal Motifs: Cats, due to her Feline race which also makes her a Cat Girl. Plus, a black cat can be vaguely seen in the background of her Elite 2 artwork.
  • Apologises a Lot: Due to her non-existent self-esteem, Jessica is always worried that she might be upsetting the Doctor for underperforming or making mistakes, and apologises in almost every single line she has.
  • Audience Surrogate: In the tutorial maps, she's the newcomer, point-of-view character whom Dobberman explains the gameplay mechanics to.
  • Ascended Meme: Ever since release, Jessica had been the target of memes joking about how she's Secretly Wealthy despite her unassuming appearance. Come Ancient Forge, Hypergryph seem to have embraced the joke wholeheartedly by outright confirming it to be the case in Snowsant's bio, where Jessica is said to be able to single-handedly resolve all of her friend's financial troubles should she ever ask.
  • Big Eater: She says that she cut back on snacks to afford ammunition. Doberman is baffled that her snack budget was enough to buy specialized ammunition in bulk. It's mentioned in the mail that the reason the beginner campaign of Sanity-restoring cookies had to stop is because Jessica got ahold of the entire supply.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Jessica is actually a highly skilled and competent operator, who is only held back by her personal hangups.
  • Extreme Doormat: Due to her timidity, she's often asked by Blacksteel executives and Rhodes Island operators to help test out new equipment.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: Jessica only wears a knee guard on her right leg, leaving her left bare.
  • Firing One-Handed: She adopts this stance in her Iron Block outfit, with her other hand placed firmly on her hip.
  • Fragile Speedster: Jessica falls into the Fast Snipers archetype, but despite her high damage output, she cannot take much of it back, though her Smokescreen skill helps her avoid damage.
  • Gun Nut: She's one of the few non-Laterano operators who carries a gun. She actually spent her own money to obtain one and it's heavily implied that even a simple Laterano handgun cost quite a sum.
  • Heroic BSoD: In Operation 4-8, Amiya and the Doctor find Meteorite and company after they successfully evaded pursuing enemy forces, though Jessica was found shell-shocked and completely shut down, having witnessed the savagery of Reunion on full display. Amiya manages to shake her out of it by channeling her arts. The title of the operation itself was "Acute Stress Disorder".
  • Hidden Buxom: While Jessica doesn't look to have a lot around the chest area, her "Cambrian: Ash" outfit reveals that she is actually quite stacked, with most of her bust being concealed by her accessories and baggy clothing.
  • Named After Somebody Famous: After a famous fictional character, that is — Jessica from The Merchant of Venice, the rich merchant's daughter.
  • Nervous Wreck: Jessica has a personality of an easily frightened cat, and it shows. In "Operation Intelligence", Liskarm claims that Jessica is talented and skilled, but her lack of self-confidence holds her back from reaching her full potential.
  • Odd Friendship: With Snowsant. Their backgrounds and spending habits could not be any more different from each other (Snowsant being extreme penny pincher due to her family being poor and financing her own R&D), but despite this, they've somehow come together and became fast friends.
  • Paper Tiger: Becomes one while wearing her Iron Block outfit, which gives her much more confident, if not somewhat self-assured and aloof mannerism overall. As soon as the mask comes off, however, she instantly reverts to being a depressed cat.
  • Punch-Packing Pistol: Her weapon is a military handgun.
  • Secretly Wealthy:
    • It's heavily implied that she's quite loaded given the combination of how expensive guns and ammo are outside of Laterano and that she can afford crates of ammo by cutting on her snack expense. In fact, during the first few weeks of the game launching, one of the free daily sanity packages happened to be from Jessica herself, who basically bought out the entire snack section of Rhodes Island's cafeteria at a whim. Not even Cliffheart, the sister of one of the richest operators in the game, had ever seen such a thing happen.
    • Allegedly, Jessica spends so much on her ammo that Snowsant incredulously wonders if the invoice is printed wrong, or the numbers with the sheer amount of digits on the bill are meant to be paid in depreciated third-world currencies, though Snowsant isn't exactly the most reliable source given that she's The Scrooge. Regardless, Snowsant's bio claims Jessica could easily cushion her finance-wise had she just asked. Her operator record reveals that she's the daughter of the CEO of Raythean.
  • Shrinking Violet: She is extremely timid and shy and doesn't have a lot of self confidence, often having trouble communicating with others and hesitating during missions.
  • Smoke Out: Her second skill, Smokescreen, allows her to deploy a smoke grenade to reduce the accuracy of attacks aimed at her while also giving her an attack boost. It is due to this that she has the "Survival" tag attached to her name.
  • Took a Level in Badass: The finale of Chapter 9 shows that Jessica has changed a lot in the year since the conclusion of the Chernobog Incident. She now appears much older and has upgraded her main armament from a handgun to an anti-material rifle, with an appearance near identical to her design as Jessica the Liberated in Come Catastrophes or Wakes of Vultures.
  • When She Smiles: The ever-sad cat shows a more cheerful side when her "Nian: Clivia" skin is equipped, particularly in the artwork where she has a beaming smile on her face for the first time.

"My birth name? Doctor, you understand the Anasa language...? But I would rather continue to use the name "Jieyun." Shifu gave me this name, and I like it."

A nomadic Anasa girl from Yan, recommended to Rhodes Island by Waai Fu for Oripathy treatment and signed up as an operator.

  • Conditioned to Accept Horror: Unlike most of Terra, her tribe views Oripathy as a divine blessing from the heavens and wholeheartedly embraces Infected tribesmen, and thus the tribe lacks the discrimination commonly seen elsewhere. Due to this, Jieyun also originally refused to have her Oripathy treated, but eventually decided to cooperate after some convincing from other operators.
  • I Gave My Word: She promised her mentor that she would bring Chongyue's sword to her grave, and succeeded in doing so in "Where Vernal Winds Will Never Blow".
  • Mentor Occupational Hazard: Not her, but the woman that taught her before dying of Oripathy. She came to Yumen to fulfill her mentor's last wish.
  • Mythical Motifs: As an Anasa, Buddhist saints.
  • One Degree of Separation: Her race Anasa is suspected to be an offshoot of the Sarkaz that got separated from the main group and developed their own culture over time, due to their similar appearances and nomadic cultures. "Where Vernal Winds Will Never Blow" shows her briefly speaking in an ancient Sarkaz language when she woke up in the infirmary, and she understood Chongyue when he spoke the language to her later on, further emphasizing the possible connection.
  • Our Angels Are Different: As part of her Anasa racial traits, Jieyun has a black halo, indicating her people may have some connection to Sankta, especially considering "Guide Ahead" heavily implies the Sankta themselves are an offshoot of the Sarkaz.
  • Temporary Online Content: She's the welfare operator of the 2023 Lunar New Year event "Where Vernal Winds Will Never Blow".
  • Spanner in the Works: She throws a wrench in both the plans of Yumen and Shanhaizhong when she steals Chongyue's sword.

"Beep-Beep, Beep-Beep-Beep, Beep-Beep…Beep! ('Justice Knight,' glad to be reporting in along with everyone from Pinus Sylvestris Knightclub... Justice Knight will be of great use to you all!)"

A junked-up Raythean robot that Wild Mane fished out of trash on the streets of Kazimierz, Justice Knight has faithfully served her and other members of Pinus Sylvestris ever since.

  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Her "Bloodline of Combat: Tournament Fantasy Retrofit Kit" description offhandedly mentions that she goes on to instigate an entire series of protests against the KGCC and their practices.
  • Team Pet: Mainly treated by Wild Mane as one for herself and the Knightclub as a whole since she found it and spends time treating it like a dog to perform some cool tricks.
  • Utility Party Member: Her stats are pitiful, but her Justice Cheer ability will temporarily grant all ranged allies in range reduced aggro levels while applying a Damage-Increasing Debuff to all flying enemies in range. This allows her to help your ranged units gun down approaching fliers while also drawing enemy bombardment away from them.
  • The Unintelligible: She used to be this before the Knightclub came to Rhodes Island as Wild Mane didn't have the capability to give her a voice and had to use an alarm to communicate. Closure has since installed a human voice bank for Justice Knight to use. Unfortunately, Wild Mane finds it to be something of a nuisance because of how much the robot now likes to talk.
  • Verbal Tic: Justice Knight says 'di-di' when she gets emotional and forgets to maintain her timeteller, sometimes repeatedly.
  • Wingding Eyes: Justice Knight's other way of communicating is generating various symbols on her horizontal panels to express mood.

Kroos, Sniper Operator of Rhodes Island, will interrupt the enemies' attacks with her crossbow.
Rarity: ★★★
ID: No. 124
Subclass: Marksman
Tags: DPS
Skills: Double Tap - Auto
Talents: Targeting - Primary
Affiliation: Reserve Op Team A1 - Rhodes Island
Race: Cautus
Birthday: November 22
Height: 154cm

"Hi-hiii~ I'm Kroos~ I might be inexperienced, but I'll do the best I can~"

A lazy sniper who fled Columbia alongside Fang and Beagle following her infection, now serving in Reserve Team 1.

  • Animal Motifs: Rabbit, due to her Cautus race.
  • Automatic Crossbows: Her skill allows her to fire two-bolt bursts at once.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: She might seem like an airhead on the surface, but she can surprisingly be toxic to people who harm her friends.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: Kroos has was it takes to be an exceptional markswoman, yet she never seems to be able to work up the initiative to do anything. Her weapon actually reflects this, as firing a slow weapon such as a crossbow naturally doesn't take as much control and learning as one would a gun. Somehow down the line, though, she became one of the best early-game fast Snipers.
    • In her Operator Record, it's implied that her laziness is motivated mainly because she's a Cautus. Because Cautuses are fast, she can afford being lazy because she can just cram everything at the last moments. However, by befriending Scene, she realizes that being a Cautus is a privilege, compared to Scene who wants to do many things but can't because she's a Pilosa. As the result, she becomes somewhat less lazy, and gives Fang her anniversary gift that is implied Kroos initially delayed from giving.
  • Character Development: In her Operator Record, she ends up interacting with Scene. Despite the obvious Turtle and Hare motif, Kroos ends up patiently indulging to Scene's various needs, despite having no reason to. It's also because of her newfound friendship with Scene that Kroos ends up being less obnoxious to Fang.
  • Com Mons: She's a very common draw when it comes to the Sniper class; possibly even the most common Sniper.
  • Critical Hit: Her Elite 1 talent Targeting - Primary gives her a 10% chance to deal 150% (160% at Potential 4) damage on attack. At max level, this chance is raised to 20%.
  • Crutch Character: Kroos will most likely be the definitive crutch Fast Sniper for many players due to a combination of her being given for free during Chapter 0, her low cost, ease of acquisition due to her 3-star rarity, and relatively strong performance for such a common unit. Her talent and auto skill make her incredibly powerful among 3-star snipers, putting her closer in performance to the 4-star Jessica and making her the budget equivalent of Exusiai. In Integrated Strategies, she's far from an uncommon pick due to her reliability and cheap cost. Though, one should be prepared to hear "Ko ko da yo!" very often due to the nature of her skill.
  • Edible Ammunition: Kroos kills enemies by throwing candy at them in her Halloween outfit.
  • Eyes Always Shut: Her profile picture should be self-explanatory enough. According to her quotes, she's actually squinting really hard instead of fully closing her eyes. As shown in the A1 Operations Preparation Detachment manga, Kroos fully opens her eyes when she's extremely pissed off.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: There's a strap on her right leg, but not on her left.
  • Firing One-Handed: Her crossbow is long enough that it needs to be operated with two hands, yet can fire it with only a single hand.
  • Heavy Sleeper: Implied. One of her casual quotes describes how somebody once put 10 alarm clocks around her as she's sleeping. Based on the tone of the conversation, it seems Kroos had one hell of a rude awakening.
  • Hidden Depths: Beneath that cheerful veneer, Kroos is suffering from the pains of her Oripathy infection. She decided to be a Perpetual Smiler to ease that pain and to cheer others up. The name of her second RIIC base skill, "Solitude", alludes to this too, granting her a small stamina recovery bonus.
Kroos: "I'm always looking for fun things to do as a way to ease the pain of my Oripathy, I guess. Plus, I love seeing other people smile~"
  • Out of Character: While she was an optimistic smiling member in her days at the Columbian Garrison, Kroos was discriminated once she got infected with Oripathy. This made her lash out at the other members, cursing them and leaving the garrison with Fang and Beagle.
  • Pumpkin Person: She wears an entire Jack-o'-lantern on her head in her Halloween outfit, with two holes carved in the pumpkin for her ears.
  • Sarashi: She seems to be wearing one in her Halloween outfit if one looks closer.
  • True Companions: With Fang and Beagle.
  • William Telling: As implied by this interrupted line of Kroos after talking to her in the Home Screen when her Trust is increased:
Kroos: "Doctor, let's play a game~ Put an apple on your head and we'll start~"

"Hi-hiii~! Doctor! I'm back! Haven't got caught up in hassle lately, have you? Haha, that's good. Right, I'm heading back to my room to rest up. If there's anything you want dealing with, remember to give me a shout."

An alternate version of Kroos representing her after maturing and growing into a veteran under Rhodes Island, previously foreshadowed in the Who is Real side story.

  • Animal Motifs: Rabbit, due to her Cautus race.
  • Bayonet Ya: Her new crossbow has a bayonet fitted for it. She uses a shiny one to spook her trainees.
  • Broken Ace: In many ways she's an ideal operator; she's never failed to complete an assignment, is a skilled tactician in her own right, and serves as a mentor for the next generation of reserve operators, all while never losing her cheery smile and sense of humour. Behind all this, however, she's never been able to sleep soundly after what happened to her squad in RIM Biliton.
  • Critical Hit: Her talent gives her a chance to deal increased damage on hit and stun the target when it activates. Fittingly for a more experienced version of Kroos, this is a direct upgrade of her original talent, down to having the exact same proc chance and damage multipliers.
  • The Insomniac: In stark contrast to her previous self, who was a slacker infamous for sleeping on the job, her new voiced lines suggests she has difficulty sleeping as a result of an unspecified accident that she dearly regrets.
  • It's All My Fault: She blames herself for the lapse in concentration during the Incident in RIM Biliton and has never gotten over it.
  • More Dakka: Her first skill makes her burst-fire two bolts with each attack, while her second skills starts with two-bolt bursts, while then escalates to four-bolt bursts after a certain number of attacks are made.
  • Names to Run Away From: Her nickname, Keen Glint, comes from how she would spook trainees with the glint reflected from her bayonet.
  • Noodle Incident: Something happened in the time before she became a full-fledged Operator that she doesn't directly speak about, during an operation in RIM Biliton where another operator was injured to the point of having a conspicuous scar. She dearly regrets it.
  • She Is All Grown Up: Kroos has gotten taller and filled out her figure by this point. She's still a bit of a prankster at heart.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: As a result of the unspecified incident, she became an insomniac and rather wary. One of her voiced lines has her gently warn the Doctor not to tiptoe up behind her any more.
Kroos: "Doctor, don't tiptoe behind me next time. I usually know when you come in here, but just in case, if you're too quiet, I'm afraid my conditioned reflex will scare you."
  • Temporary Online Content: Keen Glint is the welfare operator of Invitation to Wine, and as such is unobtainable outside of the event's run and re-run. Only when the event's Record Restoration is added will this trope be averted, but until that point she will not be obtained in regular gameplay, and is not in Recruitment or Headhunting.
  • The Sneaky Gal: Her first skill grants her Camouflage, rendering her untargetable by ranged attacks. Unlike Firewatch, this still leaves her vulnerable to ranged damage not directed at her.
  • William Telling: In contrast to her past self she's now sworn off of doing this, mentioning in a voice line that she considers using apples for target practice to be a waste.

"Agnese called me Lunacub, so you can call me that too. I heard there's a 'canteen' place here, where you can eat whatever you want. Is that true? Where is it? Can I go there now?"

  • Bash Brothers: With Ceobe. They both manage to bond over their status as wandering loners as well as their mutual love of food and willingness to raid Rhodes Island's food stores. The cafeteria staff in particular have nightmares about the mere idea of Ceobe and Lunacub working together.
  • Big Eater: She has a keen sense for food, being able to quickly find the Rhodes Island cafeteria without any prior guidance, and can have an enormously large appetite. Many of her voice lines have her refer to bringing home food from the hunt or excitedly ask what's on the menu for tonight.
  • Great Bow: She wields a bow that is very close to her height, with arrows to match.
  • Hypocritical Humor: One of her voice lines has her expressing dismay at the sweets Exusiai serves at her parties, saying people shouldn't live that way — only to find out that Exusiai is throwing such a party today and immediately say she wants to go.
  • Morality Pet: She serves as this for Agnese, who is the sole Token Good Teammate among her kin. Agnese wants to break away from her kind's bestial instincts for the sake of finding a better future for Lunacub.
  • Mythical Motifs: The goddess Artemis, associated with hunting, the moon, and wolves. Her default weapon was a large bow like the one Lunacub wields as well.
  • Raised by Wolves: She was raised by Agnese, a wild wolf god.
  • Stealth Expert: She specializes in granting herself Camouflage when her skills are not active, and activating her second skill briefly maintains said Camouflage for 3 seconds, with a further 6 seconds added each time she kills something.
  • Wild Child: Lunacub was born and raised in the wilderness, and as a result is an excellent hunter and tracker and has a high compatability with animals, but has trouble wrapping her head around concepts like office cubicles and paperwork.

"I'm the Royal Detective, May. Please cooperate with my investigation! Eh? I've got the wrong address? Impossible! I have evidence that proves that penguin is hiding here!"

Self proclaimed Victorian Royal Detective with a large number of dubious achievements under her belt and a desire to "investigate" Penguin Logistics.

  • Anti-Air: By default, she attacks aerial targets first.
  • Animal Motifs: Geese, and they are also present in her Elite 2 artwork.
  • Bad Liar: She claims to be a Victorian Royal Detective, despite such a title not existing in any Victorian institution. In fact she's so clumsy at lying that she compromised her own claims early on in the recruitment interview process.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: There's a holster on her right thigh, and a red strap on her left leg.
  • Kid Detective: May comes from a famous family of detectives, and her love for the profession is palpable, proven by the huge collection of detective movies and props in her room. Despite her title and job being fake, her profile says that she has the right mindset and has a lot of potential to become a genuine detective.
  • Online Alias: Her Obsgram username is "SherlockHonks" a pun on Sherlock Holmes. The goose that she used for her profile pic can be found in her Elite 2 artwork.
  • Scully Syndrome: Is prone to making zany theories about Penguin Logistics, which she follows to dedicated fan levels.
    1. Penguin Logistics is actually a food distribution company specializing in apple pie.
    2. Penguin Logistics is actually an idol group that performs part-time courier services.
    3. The boss of Penguin Logistics is actually a plushie toy.
    4. Penguin Logistics rarely takes time off, but overtime pays very generously.
  • Situational Sword: While not often used in the current meta, May rose in popularity when "Integrated Strategies" came on the global servers. This is because "Integrated Strategies" features two bonus boss enemies that granted a rare Artifact when defeated: one of which would start running and passing through operators (the Duck) and one of which dealt insane damage when encountered in melee (the Bear). May was often picked due to her low Hope cost, low DP cost, and her ranged damage that also inflicted slow on hit note .
  • Static Stun Gun: May uses tasers (which is the basis of her slow/stun skills), although also in tandem with lethal firepower. The icon of her S1 is even a picture of two taser darts.
  • Status Effects: Her skills revolve around slowing an enemy's advance, which is why she is a "Slow"-type operator.
    • Paralyzing Shell is an automatic skill that increases the ATK of the next attack to 135%, and slows the target for 1.5 seconds at Skill Level 1
    • Binding Shock increases her ATK by 60%, at the expense of increasing her attack interval a bit; the tradeoff is that her attacks slow targets for .8 seconds, and have a 30% chance to stun targets for .9 seconds at Skill Level 1.
  • Verbal Tic: "-nanoda!". Seriously, she can give Yukikaze a run for her money with how often she says this.

"Nice to meet you, Doctor. As a field operator, I will be in your service from here on. I hope my firepower won't let you down."

A former Columbian weapons tester, having come to Rhodes Island for treatment after she was fired for contracting Oripathy and signed up as an Operator after.

  • Bad Boss: Her third archive file points out that Columbian weapons testing companies treat their employees poorly, and Melanite was no exception - she was fired for contracting Oripathy, implied to be from the same gun she is still using in Rhodes Island.
  • BFG: In lieu of crossbows, she wields a railgun as her primary weapon of choice.
  • Consummate Professional: She is stoic, dutiful and dedicated to her job which was revealed to be from unresolved trauma caused by her parents' deaths.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Discussed in her 200 trust file. Melanite was the daughter of a Blacksteel veteran, and she had to watch her parents die in front of her when burglars broke into her house one night. This pushed her into pursuing top-of-the-line weapons testing to escape her nightmares, until she contracted Oripathy and was forced out of the business.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: She starts to let go of her Aloof Ally persona and gains a much more normal life in her Elite 2 promotion, after realizing that Rhodes Island is not the Bad Boss she was used to.
  • Gathering Steam: Her talent applies a damage bonus to her skills when they are used the second time onwards.
  • One-Hit Polykill: Her second skill can penetrate groups of enemies in their path.
  • Shaped Like Itself: A dark-skinned operator named Melanite.

"Hello, I'm Meteor, the archer from the woods. Do you need an Operator who excels in long-distance support?"

A former Kazimierzan forest warden who sought out Rhodes Island after being exiled for Oripathy.

  • All for Nothing: In her operator records, it's revealed that Meteor's home village was financially struggling and risked starving over the winter. The situation was so desperate that the village gave a noble permission to start logging their forest. Unfortunately, an accident occured that caused all of the logging equipment to explode, burning down the forest and leaving many of the villagers injured or Infected, like Meteor.
  • Animal Motifs: Horse, due to her Kuranta race. There's also a jade horse that manifests in her Elite 2 artwork.
  • Anti-Air: On top of having the ability to attack aerial enemies first, promoting her to Elite 1 unlocks her Anti-Air Specialist talent, which buffs her damage by at least 25% when she attacks an aerial target.
  • Anti-Armor: This is Meteor's niche. Both of her skills deal high physical damage in addition to reducing the DEF of her enemies by certain percentages.
    • Armor Breaker is an automatic skill that deals 120% Physical ATK damage on the next attack, and lowers the target's DEF by 20% for five seconds at Skill Level 1.
    • Armor Breaker - Spread is a manual skill that deals 145% Physical ATK damage to up to 5 targets at once, and reduces their DEF by 25% for 5 seconds at Skill Level 1.
  • Boring, but Practical: Meteor's ability to reduce enemy DEF isn't particularly spectacular but it is extremely useful against heavily-armored enemies. When she's paired with high-powered physical damage dealers like Silverash or Exusiai, they can utterly melt heavily-armored enemies in seconds.
  • Forest Ranger: To an extent where she could be considered an Expy of the Wood Elven Waywatchers of Warhammer. Meteor used to be part of an entire order of forest wardens who patrolled the immense woodland region of Kazimierz, until she was exiled due to her Oripathy infection.
  • Good Old Ways: An appeal to tradition type: the combination of being in more remote areas of Kazimierz and being in forest all her life means not only she's bad at technology, she's actively avoiding them. Also, unlike other bow users, she's sticking to more traditional bows instead of a composite, or more modern compound bows.
  • Named After Somebody Famous: Meteor was the horse of John Bowes.
  • Parental Abandonment: Her second Operator Record reveals that she lost her parents when she was very young.
  • Parental Substitute: Her first Operator Record shows her and her roommate Mina taking care of Gianna, a young Feline girl who lost her parents before she was rescued by Rhodes Island.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Her second Operator Record reveals that her traditional bow belonged to Lana, a young girl who was part of the village household that raised the orphaned Meteor. When Lana passed away from illness, Meteor took up her bow.
  • You Can't Go Home Again: Not only was her village ravaged by a freak logging accident, but having been Infected from that incident, Meteor was subsequently banished.

"Codename Meteorite, a freelance mercenary. I'm a Sarkazian, as you can see. You still wanna hire me in spite of that?"

A Sarkaz mercenary who fights in hopes of standing against the discrimination towards her race.

  • Anti-Armor: Meteorite's S2 High-Explosive Shell not only deals extra damage to her targets, but gives them a lingering DEF reduction that can last at least 10 seconds.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: If promoted to Elite 2, Meteorite is put into complete disbelief that the Doctor would put so much trust into a Sarkaz like her. To reciprocate that goodwill, she discloses her entire history as mercenary.
  • Brutal Honesty: Meteorite is very blunt, sometimes rude, even, but she means well and is always sincere with her words.
  • But for Me, It Was Tuesday: Meteorite served alongside Firewatch when the latter's clan was destroyed. Even though the loss was unbearable to Firewatch, Meteorite had seen and been through much worse that she's pretty much blasé about it.
  • But Now I Must Go: During the times when Meteorite confided in Amiya about her past and people, this is one eventuality that she almost always mentions, due to the goals and methods of Rhodes Island not necessarily aligning with her own. Building her trust to maximum reveals that her tight bond with her teammates changed her mind, thus averting this.
  • Critical Hit: She's capable of this through her talent Blast Attachment Refit which gives a 15% chance of increasing her current ATK by 60% whenever she uses a skill or a normal attack. At Elite 2, the odds of procing her talent are doubled to 30%.
  • Demolitions Expert: Implied with her Blasting Materiology base skill, which increases the odds of getting a byproduct from making elite materialsnote .
  • Fantastic Racism: She has had to deal with the general discrimination towards the Sarkaz, and had become a mercenary to fight against it.
  • Friend to All Children: Implied. Her personal token is a collection of letters penned by Sarkaz children grateful for Rhodes Island for saving them. Her Module reveals that she spent three days trying to rescue a child as a mercenary.
  • Glass Cannon: Though she has very impressive firepower, Meteorite can't take much damage in return.
  • Horned Humanoid: She has black horns on the sides of her head.
  • I Have Many Names: After her second promotion, it's revealed that "Meteorite" is just one of her many aliases that she used as a freelance mercenary.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Outwardly, Meteorite appears rude and uncaring, but this is merely a facade to cope with the discrimination she has experienced in the past. All of the Rhodes Island staff have already caught on that she has a very caring heart.
  • La Résistance: She fights for Sarkaz rights, but does so as a mercenary so she can freely move between groups.
  • Mix-and-Match Weapon: Her weapon is a mix between an automatic crossbow and a Grenade Launcher, if her skills are any indication. With her first skin equipped, it instead becomes something of an AR-15-based rifle firing explosive bolts instead.
  • My Greatest Failure: Her Module description reveals that the reason she cares so greatly for Sarkaz is because she killed a child soldier Sarkaz while on a routine mission. This caused her to permanently abandon mercenary work in Kazdel.
  • Mythical Motifs: Demons, due to her Sarkaz race. Curiously enough, they don't appear in her Elite 2 art.
  • No One Gets Left Behind: In Chapter 4, are you just going to watch and leave Frostleaf behind as she tries to take on a Reunion Leader by herself? Meteorite says nope to this attempt at a Heroic Sacrifice as she charges head-on amongst the Yeti Squadron's attacks while Amiya assists so that they can bring Frostleaf with them back home.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: Oddly enough, her 4-star victory line is not a positive one.
Meteorite: "I don't want to see all these collapsing buildings, burning from the war. Please, let's just end this once and for all..."
  • Trick Arrow: Manifests in her skills.
    • Her S1 Buckshot increases the AoE of her next attack, dealing her 135% of her ATK as physical damage at level 1, 215% at level 7 mastery 3.
    • Her S2 High-Explosive Shell causes Meteorite to launch a firebomb that deals 180% physical ATK damage to everyone hit within range, and decreases their DEF by a flat 130 for ten seconds at level 1, dealing 300% physical ATK damage and decreases 330 DEF at level 7 mastery 3.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Firewatch. Meteorite is in no hurry to try and restart the friendship, partly because she suspects Firewatch blames her for her hometown's destruction.
