Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Okay, I haven't suggested stuff of my own for a while, so here we go.

  • Subaru Mikazuki and Haru from My Roommate is a Cat for Introverted Cat Person: Subaru is a reclusive author and Haru is a tough stray cat who Subaru spontaneously takes home for inspiration. Subaru bringing Haru home has the effect that he now has to deal with more people than before as he needs advice in caring for her, and those people wind up becoming his friends. He has many reservations about how hectic his quiet life is becoming and remains nervous in social situations, however Haru is ultimately the key to healing him from the loss of his parents and getting him to open up to people.
  • Marianne and Héloïse from Portrait of a Lady on Fire for Intimate Artistry: Artist Marianne is tasked with making a portrait of Héloïse, who is set to be married soon. Héloïse is not happy about the impending marriage. As the process of painting the portrait goes on, Marianne and Héloïse gradually fall in love with each other and have an affair. Other pieces of art ensue. Unfortunately, in the end, it's the 18th century, and so they have to part ways once the portrait is complete, though they still communicate their affection for each other through paintings in the years after.
  • Hagen from White God for Escaped Animal Rampage: In an alternate/future Hungary where a law has passed to restrict the ownership of mixed-breed dogs, one such dog, Hagen, is abandoned by his owners and left on the streets. He's eventually caught and put in a dog pound. There Hagen reaches his breaking point and he ends up escaping and leading all the dogs in a rampage throughout the city's streets, taking revenge on the humans who mistreated them.

[up] [tup] to all three.

Current draft for Davis and Welsh. Already finished their lore and backstory, as well as added new allies and enemies based on earlier suggestions. Anything else I need to add, or are they good to go?

"1941. The Desert Fox, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, arrives in Libya to assume command of the Afrika Korps. Within a few months, Rommel, the rising star of the German Army, recaptures the territory taken by the British and Commonwealth Forces prior to his arrival. Despite being heavily outnumbered by the British Forces, the superior range and armor of the German tanks allows the Afrika Korps to take the fight to the Allies. By July of 1942, the Desert Fox and his unstoppable Afrika Korps, in a series of classic Blitzkrieg attacks, pushes the British Forces eastward, across the deserts of Libya, and into Egypt. Now in late 1942, holding their ground a mere 60 miles from the Egyptian capital of Cairo, British Field Marshal Montgomery's forces, including the Desert Rats of the 7th Armored Division, prepare to blunt the German offensive, and regain the initiative."

Sgt. John Davis and Tank Commander David Welsh, Patron Saints of Desert Warfare (Davis, Welsh: Fox Three)

Davis (above) and Welsh (below) in 1943, during the Tunisia and Libya campaigns, respectively
  • Themes:
  • Demigods
  • Symbol: The insignia of the British 7th Armored Division
  • Alignments: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio:
  • Allies:
  • Enemies:
  • Oppose:
  • Conflicted Opinion: Maho Nizhizumi, The Anglerfish Team
  • Members of the famous 7th Armored Division, better known as the "Desert Rats", Sgt. John Davis and Tank Commander David Welsh are both long-time veterans of the grueling North African campaign. Davis fought as an infantryman, while Welsh commanded a Crusader Mk. III cruiser tank.
  • Davis' baptism of fire was at the Second Battle of El Alamein, where, under the command of one Captain Price, took part in several defensive, diversionary, and later offensive battles against elements of the Afrika Korps. He would then see action again during the Tunisia campaign, where he took part in vicious fighting to secure the route to Tunis.
  • Welsh, on the other hand, was known to have fought during the British advance into Libya in January 1943, where he engaged Panzers of the Afrika Korps in a massive Epic Tank-on-Tank Action. In addition, he's also destroyed several 88mm Anti-Armor guns during one of these battles.
  • In addition to fighting in North Africa, Davis is also a veteran of the Normandy campaign, specifically in the Battles for Caen. During these numerous engagements, he's known to have destroyed 3 Tiger I heavy tanks while helping to secure the 7th Armored Division's advance and securing of the areas near Caen.
  • While it is unknown what happened to both men following their last known battles, it is heavily implied that they both survived the war. However, thanks to their impressive actions and feats in the deserts of North Africa, it has been decided to ascend them as the Patron Saints of Desert Warfare.
  • Because of this, both of them ascended as how they had looked during the latter parts of the North Africa campaign, with Davis wearing a short sleeved tunic and short pants, while Welsh ascends alongside the Crusader tank he had last commanded (albeit without the rest of his crew).
  • Immediately, both Welsh and Davis link up with any Allied forces they can find. Eventually, both men are found by Rangers Lt. Randall and Sgt. Bill Taylor, who immediately take them to the other Allied deities present in the Pantheon. Despite taking orders from Americans due to a lack of WWII-era British officers in the Pantheon, they nonetheless decide to do what they can to aid their allies in the fight against the Nazis lurking in the Pantheon.
  • Upon finally meeting the aforementioned Lt. Randall and Sgt. Bill Taylor in person for the first time in the Pantheon, Davis sincerely apologizes to the two men about his failure to save two of their fellow Rangers in time. The aforementioned men were badly wounded POWs Davis and the rest of his unit had found being held at a German aid station. It was heavily implied that these Rangers were captured by the Germans during the failed German counterattack at Point du Hoc.
  • When Davis hears about a Captain Price being in the Pantheon, he immediately decides to report to who he thinks is his former superior officer from the North African and Normandy campaigns. When he finally meets him, however, he soon realizes that the Captain Price in question is not the man he had served under During the War. However, when Price notices the logo of the British 7th Armored Division on the Sergeant's uniform, he immediately tells Davis that the man he's looking for is very likely to be his identical-looking grandfather.
  • Among the deities they immediately get along with are fellow North Africa veterans Lt. Mike Powell and Lt. Karl Fairburne. The latter especially so, due to his close working relationship with members of the British 8th Army, which the 7th Armored Division was part of.
    • Pretty soon, the two British soldiers begin exchanging stories and intel with the former SOE agent. Welsh in particular was astonished that the Germans were able to build a massive behemoth like the P.1000 Ratte. Davis himself was impressed at the ease of which Fairburne destroyed several of The Dreaded Tiger I Heavy tanks with nothing but a Sniper Rifle.
  • Davis comes to oppose the actions of The Basterds, thanks mainly to having been ordered never to harm unarmed German Prisoners-Of-War during the Normandy campaign.
  • Welsh, meanwhile, befriends Darjeeling, due to her extensive knowledge of British tanks like Welsh's own Crusader. In fact, she helps him repair his damaged tank, which had been hit several times by fire from German tanks during the advance into Libya. In exchange, Welsh assists her in her own tank battles against members of the Anglerfish Team.
    • Initially, Welsh mistakes the Anglerfish Team's Panzer IV as well as Maho Nishizumi's Tiger I as hostiles, and almost ends up hitting them with his Crusader's main gun. Thankfully, Darjeeling stops him when she points out that the markings on their tanks are clearly not the Balkenkreuz seen on actual Panzers.
    • It's through Darjeeling that Welsh meets Yukari Akiyama. Unsurprisingly, she immediately begins telling Welsh about her extensive knowledge of his Crusader tank, which impresses the British tank commander a lot.
  • Both Davis and Welsh despise Captain Martin Walker and his infamous actions in Dubai, to the point that they refuse to talk to him altogether. In contrast to Walker's Deconstructor Fleet story, Davis and Welsh come from a more straightforward Battle Epic.
  • Upon learning about a Sherman tank being in the Pantheon's Treasures House, both Davish and Welsh become interested in checking it out, the former having been supported by them since the North African campaign, while the latter hopes to upgrade from the Crusader to something with a little more firepower.
  • The two British soldiers find out the hard way that the Nazis aren't the only thing lurking in the Pantheon's deserts, when they come across the Desert Seltas and Desert Seltas Queen, which come close to killing both men had it not been for Amuro Ray and Shiro Amada opening fire on the monsters and saving their lives.
    • Both Davis and Welsh, unsurprisingly, are both speechless upon seeing the two EFF pilot's Gundams, which dwarf Welsh's own Crusader. Nonetheless, both are grateful to the two Mobile Suit pilots, and they begin forming a friendship over their shared experiences in desert combat.

"Such hostility!"

@wootzits: [tup] on your ideas.

Likewise, starting up with an obviously beta draft of the Xenozoic Tales protagonists and "Not Important". Any ideas and suggestions for them? For Xeno, I'm aiming to see if there are any characters from an After the End setting, prioritize a lot regarding science and nature and would wish to uncover more about how the Earth used to look like. For the latter, any misanthropes, Omnicidal Maniacs and nihilists "Not Important" could have an interaction with + any notable enemies he could have?

These reworks ready to go?

Walter Joseph Kovacs, God of Expressive Masks (Rorschach)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rorschach_gibbons.png
"Men get arrested... dogs get put down!"
  • Despises the Seven for being corrupt, hedonistic "superheroes". The irony is that much like them, he is a Corrupted Character Copy of a more noble and righteous character in the Question. In his case, he deconstructs the objectivist morality. The Question himself has difficulty working with Rorschach, though they share enough in common along with being conspiracy nuts to at least work with him. Interestingly there's a universe, Earth 4, where the two are one and the same in many ways. Same can be said of many other characters.
  • Was interested to learn the premise of his story was going to use the Charlton Comics characters, but higher-ups said no so Alan Moore made a Cast of Expies. Dr Manhattan is based off Nathaniel Adam, and Nite Owl off Ted Kord...which made Earth 4 make a surprising amount of sense to him. Given Dan Dreidberg might be his only friend, he was interested in Ted Kord's refusal to compromise and some of his objectivist leanings and wanted to make him an ally. However he considers Rorschach a bit too crazy for that.
  • Asexual, to the point of finding sex disgusting. Having a Madonna-Whore Complex, he rails at both Lust sub-houses and considers Slaanesh an abomination. Well, more so than the other Chaos Gods due to their corruptive nature and embodying emotional extremes. All attempts to convince him that the Lust sub-houses are worthwhile have failed and he wishes to never set foot there. A few have their lust piqued even if he'll just be disgusted, as if you ignore his face and the homeless stank he has a well-built body.
  • His aversion to lust comes from the fact that he is a Son of a Whore. Not only was he the subject of bullying because of this, but his mother was not a Hooker with a Heart of Gold, but an abusive bitch who Rorschach was pleased to learn died. He has an aversion to all prostitutes in the pantheon. Having a kid of her own, Lianne pities him. He is just disgusted by her son, and Eric Cartman hates him on instinct for being a ginger; he claims that Rorschach wears his mask to cover up for the fact he doesn't have a soul. Cartman himself turned out to have a ginger father, which bummed him out way more than realizing he killed him as part of a Familial Cannibalism Surprise because a bully scammed him.
  • Nite Owl finally ascending at least gives Rorschach a reason to wander in more populated environments, specially to reform their old partnership when they beat up some evil deities. Dan's current girlfriend Laurie, the Silk Spectre, is one of the few women Rosrchach is willing to respect and downright collaborate with. But remains on bad terms with the fellow Watchmen deities; Ozymandias for concocting that plan, and Dr. Manhattan for not only agreeing, but causing his death. Learning Jon had rebooted the entire DC Multiverse didn't help at all. While Rorschach has a begrudging respect to the Comedian, he can't look past all of Edward's morally reprehensible actions (raping Silk Spectre, shooting a pregnant prostitute).
  • Regards Superman with supreme mistrust, and is disgusted by most other costumed heroes. However, while he muttered direly about artists and liberals upon meeting Captain America, he will respond to slurs on the good Captain's name with extreme violence. While he dislikes that The Punisher uses guns instead of his bare hands to punish criminals, the two have an uneasy truce due to their fondness of staring into the Abyss. At one point they accidentally switched (War) Journals, no one noticed until Deadpool pointed out that their journal monologue boxes were the wrong colour.
  • Hates Tyler Durden(his lustful, anarchic, Nietzsche Wannabe antithesis), with whom he has a territorial dispute. Hates hedonists in general. Doesn't care for Lord Byron, which is rather ironic given that he'd be classified as a Byronic Hero himself.
  • Even if he left his mortal coil in 1986, has shown a fondness for The Smashing Pumpkins, and even uses one of their songs as a theme. While it was written for a Batman movie, The Dark Knight sees no problem, as he finds the lyrics to fit Rorschach and is still wishing to forget said movie.
  • Doesn't understand why people compare him to Freddy Krueger, who he considers one of the filthiest people in the Pantheon.

@Crimson I get the feeling the Antagonist would target Mr. Burns because he owns a power plant and that could lead him to attempt to try and see if he can pull off blowing a power plant again.

Also the Dude from Postal would probably be a rival. He is in Naming

@RJ [tup]

Got a new draft, this time for this monster that became really popular this year.

So he can mimic voices and it also a lanky 10 foot creature that roams the woods

Alright, who is next?

A siren is heard from a distance
Siren Head, Divine Monster of Perfect Voice Mimicking

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/siren_head.png
  • Potential House: Voices
  • Intermediate Deity
  • Symbol: The Sirens
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral or Chaotic Evil, the Nature of Siren Head is not very clear
  • Portfolio: Ambiguously Evil, Preys on humans, Humanoid Abomination, Breakout Character, It Can Think, Lives in the woods
  • Domains: Monsters, Woods, Sirens, Voices, Killing
  • Allies: Ithaqua, SMG4 Mario, Chris and Swagmaster
  • Rivals: The Slender Man
  • Enemies: The SCP Foundation, Any deity from Silent Hill
  • The Siren Head is an elusive creature said to be found wandering around the empty wilderness of the world. Whenever someone hears the forebonding sound of a Siren, one is sure to know the Siren Head is around and it it catches you then god knows what will happen to you. His preferred method of hunting is luring people with the voice of a friend or loved one or even the sound of animals, as Siren Head is able to mimic those sounds almost perfectly.
  • The Siren Head is said to have emerged from the House of Nature after several deities were found dead in several parts of said house and reports of a distant siren noise being heard with occasional warning broadcast about an imminent danger. The Pantheon Authorities issued an investigation and one unlucky deity found the culprit was none other than Siren Head, who then narrowly escaped its clutches and requested the aid of the SCP Foundation in hopes on capturing the creature, which they succeeded.
  • The temple that holds the Siren Head is a wood area and has only a warning sign towards potential trespasser. Several of the Foundation members found that the sirens the creature would occasionally emit would be enough of a deterrent for other deities to NOT enter the house but these agents never accounted for the creature getting out of its temple by themselves and causing a lot of havoc. Which is why nowadays the temple has a lot more security protocols, though from time to time the Siren Head finds a way to break out.

@Crimson: The Antagonist would obviously hate Yahtzee for getting everyone in the Pantheon to start calling him "Jeffrey Cuddletrousers."

Also, his nicknames include Nathan Explosion, Edgy McEdgerson, and homonyms of Not Importent like "Nadim Portant," "Nothem Portent," and "Nodhim Poortint."

Also, he would probably avoid the House of Love after what happened last time he went there...

I hope you guys think this is permissable, and if you do is there another appropriate trope?

  • Jreg, God of Political Raps: while some might argue this is too political, Jreg(IRL person) is mainly a comedian and satirist and we do already have political satirists/comedians in the pantheon with Stephen Colbert and John Oliver (Jreg's an Equal-Opportunity Offender), so I think "Filthy Franks does Politics" is fair game. As for why I picked him? The channel blew up and is full of political raps, often having raps and songs show up for various ideologies. Jreg as a persona represents a fictional and intentionally absurdist political ideology called anti-centrism, that being extremes of the political spectrum should Enemy Mine against centrists.

Obligatory repost. 2 days since the Tiger I tank from Fury (2014) received two [tup]s. Still looking for more so that I can finally finish this.

Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf. E Tiger I (Sd.Kfz.181, A F***ing Beast, Goddamn Tiger)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/800px_tiger_131_1.jpg
  • [tup]s: 2 (General Gigan 817, wootzits)
  • Theme: Tiger Battle
  • Appearance: An early-production Tiger I Ausf. E painted in dark yellow, with leaves and small camouflage nets placed over its hull, turret, and main gun
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: The Dreaded, Having camouflage placed over its turret, main gun, and hull, Walking Spoiler, Having almost impenetrable front armor and a powerful main gun, Small Role, Big Impact, Rare Vehicles, Tank Goodness
  • Domain: Combat, Tanks, War
  • The Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E, better known as the Tiger I, was a heavy tank used by Nazi Germany during World War II. Less than 1,400 would be produced from 1942 to August 1944. It was used mainly by Heavy Panzer Battalions of the Heer and Waffen-SS. Eventually, it was supplanted in production by the even heavier Tiger II tank, which was armed with an even bigger main gun and featured even thicker frontal armor.
  • This particular example was encountered by the crew of the M4A3E8 "Fury" during a brief, but memorable, battle during the Allied advance into Germany in April 1945. Knocking out three of the Sherman tanks accompanying "Fury", it was ultimately destroyed when the latter's crew fired two 76mm armor-piercing shells into its rear, where the tank's armor was thinnest. Two of the crew were apparently killed in when the tank was knocked out, while the driver and radio operator tried to flee the burning tank, only to be killed by Sgt. Wardaddy. The tank commander, however, tried to shoot the latter instead in an apparent Taking You with Me situation, with said commander being killed by "Fury's" bow gunner Norman.
    • Given the condition it was in, it was heavily implied that it was a tank damaged sometime in early 1943, brought back to Germany to be repaired, and then broken out and pressed back into service out of desperation.
    • The Tiger's crew themselves appeared to be woefully inexperienced, given their poor decisions and tactical mistakes made during that brief skirmish with "Fury" and her crew.
    • Overall, this wouldn't have been surprising, given the deteriorating state of Nazi Germany's forces in the closing weeks of the war.
  • Following its disastrous battle with Fury, this particular Tiger ended up as a burned, smoldering wreck in a field in Germany for an unknown period of time. Somehow, this wreck mysteriously ended up in the Pantheon, where it was eventually found by a squad of SS soldiers. Upon analyzing the wrecked tank, they eventually realize that it's in repairable condition, and thus they decide to have it brought back to Fort Schmerzen in several pieces, where it can be properly restored.
  • Following an extensive restoration process, the tank is eventually brought back into running condition, complete with fully functioning weapons. Before any of the Nazi leadership can find a suitable crew for it, however, the tank is then stolen by OSS agents Lt. Mike Powell and Sgt. Jack Barnes. Powell, having already immersed and familiarized himself in the similarly laid-out King Tiger tank, easily manages to adjust to this one. Barnes, on the other hand, again, manages to somehow drive and fire the main gun by his lonesome during this hijack.
  • Upon its capture by the Allied deities, it is brought through numerous trials and analysis. Many of the ones who had encountered Tiger I tanks in the field before, such as Lt. Karl Fairburne, Cpl. Bill Taylor, and Cpl. Boyd Travers, are all brought forward in order to demonstrate and showcase the Tiger's weak spots, and just what kind of weapons should be used to take one out.
  • After repeated tests and training demonstrations, it is eventually decided to preserve the Tiger as a museum piece, alongside its former adversary, the M4A3E8 "Fury". With Barnes' permission, Yukari Akiyama is allowed near the tank. Unsurprisingly, she is amazed, and once again, goes on a long lecture that impresses every deity present. Even the normally aloof Karl Fairburne is impressed by her knowledge of the inner workings of the tank.
Yukari Akiyama: The Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E, better known as the Tiger. Armed with an 8.8cm KWK 36 tank gun, this tank was used by the elite Heavy tank battalions of the Heer and Waffen-SS. It could destroy its most common opponents, the Soviet T-34 and American Sherman from thousands of meters, while the latter two had to get within 500 meters to the side or rear of the Tiger just to get a chance of knocking it out. On the flipside, however, the Tiger was expensive and time-consuming to produce, and because of this only less than 1,400 would be built. It would later be succeeded by the Tiger II, which was heavier, had a more powerful gun, and featured thicker armor.
  • Maho Nizhizumi herself is pretty impressed at how the Nazis in the Pantheon had managed to restore the tank into combat-ready conditions. In essence, this Tiger was almost identical to the one she personally commanded, with the primary difference being that this one is geared towards actual combat and not one of the mock battles she parttakes in.
  • This tank is, essentially, the Evil Counterpart to the Tiger Striker Unit also found in the Pantheon. While both were developed by their universe's versions of Nazi Germany, the latter was used for an ultimately benevolent cause of fighting an Alien Invasion, while this tank was used to fight back the Allies in a desperate Last Stand of a dying regime.
  • Like "Fury", this Tiger is not, in any way, a Sapient Tank. It's just an ordinary, battle-scarred tank with a history to it. Although, given that Nazis such as Milleneum are also in the Pantheon, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to see this particular Tiger turned into one ala White Tiger...
  • Of special note is that, Tiger 131, the Real Life tank used to portray this example, is also a museum piece in running condition, and is from the same museum as the Sherman tank used to portray "Fury". It is also the last running Tiger I tank in Real Life as well, and serves as one of the main attractions of the Bovington Tank Museum.

Ok, here's a suggestion that I have a little more confidence with...

Reflux, god of Final Exam Bosses (Reflux the Knaaren)

Reason: Reflux, the final boss of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, is eligible for the Final-Exam Boss (Preferably in the House of Boss Design) trope because Rayman (The player character) needs to equip all five power-ups (In this case, Laser Washing Powders) that he’s used throughout the game during the final battle against him at different points. To start, whenever Reflux uses his energy shield in the first phase, Rayman must pick up the Lockjaw power up (Which allows him to grab enemies and electrocute them) to make it shrink.

During both the first and second phases, Rayman needs to equip the Heavy Metal Fist (Which strengthens the amount of damage his punches deal and allows him to destroy wooden doors) to properly deal damage to him. Come the third part of the fight, the player is required to use the Throttle Copter (Which allows him to propel himself upward in mid-air) to scale an assortment of levitating stone platforms and in turn reach the Shock Rocket powerup (Which causes him to fire a missile that the player must navigate to a given target) to strike Reflux at his weak point.

Although the fourth phase does not involve usage of any of the aforementioned cans of powder, Rayman does have to pilot the Armaguiddon (An aircraft vehicle he used to navigate the Tower of The Leptys immediately before the final boss fight) once more in order to attack a series of mooks so that he can diminish Reflux’s health and vanquish once and for all. In short, if the player has not mastered all of these things by the end of the game, then they will likely struggle during the last fight with Reflux.
