Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those charactersโ€™ importance to the Pantheonโ€™s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their seriesโ€™ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that charactersโ€™ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a characterโ€™s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the websiteโ€™s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokรฉmon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokรฉmon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokรฉmon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokรฉmon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

I was just finished reading a FF 8 SSLP. I guess that's why. So yes, it was a joke.

Captain Alex's GUAG Special Crimes Division and the GUAE Groups page are in progress. Please help update them.

Regarding Liberion Arcadia, do you think Orisa and E-102 Gamma would be fitting members? And if A2 does join for whatever reason, what would Fairy Leviathan nickname her?

Grimoire Weiss, God of Flying Books (Shiro, Hon Shiro)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Copy_of_Weiss_2_2397.png
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: His front cover
  • Theme Song:
  • Alignment: True Neutral -> Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Flying Book, Sealed Verses, Exposition Fairy, Power Floats, Sounds Like Either A Grumpy Old Man or A Stuffy Brit, Awesome Ego, Insufferable Genius, Large Ham, Jerk with a Heart of Gold, Only Known by Their Nickname, Noble Male To Father Nier's Roguish Male, Snarky Non-Human Sidekick, Unusually Uninteresting Sight, Amnesiac Dissonance, Heroic Sacrifice, Used To Be Human
  • Domain(s): Books, Black Magic, Knowledge
  • Allies: Nier
  • Rivals:
  • Enemies: Nier's enemies
  • As soon as Nier as made it to the Pantheon, work was done to ascend Grimoire Weiss as well, the only one who can join him in the Pantheon without nullifying the sacrifice he made. Given the nature of what he is, it was decided that he take Flying Books, as there are literally no other contenders for it. And thankfully, due to how the Pantheon works, he no longer needs Grimoire Noir to exist to survive.
  • Grimoire Weiss is the source of Nier's magic, the Sealed Verses, and the one actually flinging the spells; Nier just directs them, though it can be assumed that Weiss can do it on his own.
  • Isn't treated with any more intrigue in the Pantheon any more than in the mortal realm. In the former case though, it's because there are much stranger things than a talking magical book like him.
  • A thousand years before Nier found him, Weiss was a nameless young man recruited by the Hamelin Organisation to fight the Legion. He was given medicine to withstand being turned, but it didn't make him immune to being infected with WCS, it just delayed the symptoms. After he was captured and imprisoned in a room with twelve other people, he had to watch how his childhood friend was killed and sucked into a book. The killer then disappeared too, and finally Weiss himself succumbed to the Gestalt process and his soul was sealed. From then on, he was only known as Grimoire Weiss.
  • Like with Neir, Weiss is notified of the fate of the Earth they left behind; humanity has gone extinct due to Nier's actions, Emil got in war with aliens, androids went to war with their machines, they founded YoRHa, and a summary of the events of NieR: Automata was provided as well.

Castle Oblivion, Holy Seat of Card Game-Based Combat Systems (C.O., The Land of Departure)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/castle_oblivion_khcom.png
  • Symbol: a card from its domain
  • Theme: The 13th Floor
  • Alignment: True Neutral, Lawful Evil under Organization XIII's occupation
  • Portfolio: Alien Geometries, Bigger on the Inside, Malevolent Architecture, Creating Construsts Out of Memory Including Living Beings, Laser-Guided Amnesia Even On Written Records, Unexpected Gameplay Change, Mostly White Void Rooms
  • Domain(s): Castles, Memories, Cards
  • High Priests: Sigma Kurogami and Neon Tsukiyumi
  • Followers: the Guild of Dungeoneering, Mawlock, the champions of Crosswind Hold
  • Sacred To: Aqua (its creator), Ventus (its protected inhabitant)
  • Known Visitors/Tenants: Sora, Donald Duck, Goofy, Riku, Mickey Mouse, "Ansem", Lea (as Axel)
  • Selecting a candidate for Fight Like a Card Player was tricky, given that most examples are from spin-offs, and the few that aren't don't have enough notable traits to represent their trope. And then Riku had an idea, though it wasn't a deity; rather, it was a dominion. The place in question: Castle Oblivion, where one's actions are actually limited by a card-based combat system.
    • Given its current state, having been turned back into the Land of Departure, this castle in the Dominions is just an imitation of the "original".
  • Given it was Naminรฉ who was responsible for altering memories rather than the castle, no one has to worry about losing their memories while inside it; and she can affect only Sora and his friends with it, anyway.
  • It is not known whether the combat system really was from the castle, or was part of Naminรฉ's powers (which was initially falsely claimed by Marluxia to be the castle's power), but for this version in the Pantheon, it will be the former.
  • With the exception of Aqua, all who are inside Castle Oblivion have most of their abilities (magic, items, summons, and even weapon attacks) constrained by the rules of the Castle, the only exception being one's means of locomotion (running, slithering, flight, levitation, etc.), though teleportation might get nerfed into a card if it's followed up by an attack. This restriction applies even to Greater Gods, so long as they can fit through the doors.
    • Battle parties might end up with most of its members turning into Friend Cards, with only the party leader being the main combatant (and user of the Friend Cards). That's how it goes for parties of at least three, but it's not known just how big a party will have to rely on their singular leader, or if the Castle will allow for in-field allies proportional to the party's size.
    • Advanced techniques get locked into Sleights, which require "stocking" cards together in specific arrangements.
  • That said, there are some things Castle Oblivion has yet to factor:
  • Being a replica of the castle, measures have been made for such things.
    • Mรชlรฉe ร  Trois battles carry on like any other battle in the castle.
    • Mons-users deploy their Mon, who is then bound by the castle's rules while the tamer is to remain uninvolved except for switching Mons. If the Mon-user is also a fighter, then their Mons are stuck as Friend Cards.
    • Card players become strictly bound to their game's rules with no breaking of them no matter how much cash you have; the castle can't take bribes.
    • Support Party Members are forcibly barred from directly intervening in battle and (besides providing intel) are only allowed to provide their support when their leader uses their Friend Card.
  • Given just how many kinds of folks are in the Pantheon, Castle Oblivion has special rules in store for certain deities:
    • Multi-Persona-users (e.g. Tatsuya and co., and Wild Cards) can only use one Persona at a time per battle, which can only come out in response to the use of certain Magic or Attack cards, and Sleights with Friend Cards determine what skill they or their Personas can use.
    • Stand Users more or less fall under the same restrictions as Persona-users.
    • Sakura Kinomoto, already a card-user herself, is forced to select a few of her Sakura Cards, after which she'll get a deck themed around those cards.
  • Also as a carry-over from the original, Castle Oblivion is a confusing place to navigate, and those without teleportation abilities are limited to the White Rooms that can be converted by way of World cards crafted out of a visitor's memories, as well as the Entrance/Exit Halls and stairways that connect them. There are two ends to this navigable area, one being a dead end in Basement Twelve and the other being the top floor, which is themed around the castle itself and has a path leading to a room with Memory Pods.
    • As for those who can teleport, the extra rooms available are usually just meeting rooms that have orbs in the middle for observing visitors.
    • For the sake of "content", the White Rooms spawn Heartless, where one can practice using the combat system. There are also optional invincible tutor constructs based off of (hooded) Marluxia and Leon (a.k.a. Squall) that teach newcomers the basics of battle in the castle.
  • Harth Stonebrew holds some interest in the castle's card-based restrictions, though he's aware that violence is still part of the system.
  • Not having been there due to being a loyal member of the old Organization XIII, Luxord has been considering taking a visit to the castle to observe its rules.

Dark Meta Knight, God of Shattering to Pieces

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dream_character_8_2x_8.png
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol:
  • Theme Music: Dark Meta Knight Battle
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Mirror Universe Version of Meta Knight, The Dragon to Dark Mind (later Dragon Ascendant), Magic Knight, Mirror-Based Moves, Shattering to Shards
  • Domains: Mirrors, Evil Counterparts, Swords
  • Allies: Dark Link
  • Enemies: Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, Dark Pit
  • Special Relation(?): Queen Sectonia
  • Dark Meta Knight is a dark reflection of Meta Knight originating from the Mirror World. Originally serving under Dark Mind, he ultimately (somehow) ended up outliving his master and started doing his own thing.
  • While not a trait shared with other inhabitants of Mirror World, Dark Meta Knight will shatter into mirror shards upon death. Just be sure you kill the real one, or else you will get face full of mirror shards.
  • Ascended into the Pantheon through the Dimension Mirror located in the Pantheon. Which he then destroyed just to be sure. People are still trying to find the missing shards.
  • Originally fought just like regular Meta Knight but after his initial defeat he started developing his own moves like using duplicates of himself or mirror shards.
  • Might have been the reason why Queen Sectonia descended into villainy. Though it might have just been the effect of the Dimension Mirror on it's own.

Hmm... I have this bit planned for a profile I'm writing.

Connie Maheswaran, Goddess of Normal Members In Super Teams (Miss Knight, Swashbuckling Swashbuckler)

  • In a friendly sparring session with the other juniors in the Pantheon, Connie and Kairi were selected as partners for the day. It was a very close match, though that left Kairi in a bit of a slump, given her... lackluster performance in the battle against Xehanort despite her training; if a by-all-accounts-normal girl was able to keep up with her despite not having any magic (besides being able to fuse with Steven, though that's more from him than from her), what does that say about her skills?
Connie: Well, my first fight against the Diamonds ended with me losing my first sword. Well, Steven's mom's sword.
Kairi: At least that's all you lost. Xehanort kidnapped me, and then killed me in front of Sora to provoke him. It took him using the Power of Waking to bring me back, but then he faded away after that.
Connie: Oh... That's... I... That must really suck.

What should I regard Sora's...current situation as for the purposes of profile writing and for his current state in the Pantheon?

Got some ideas. What do you think?

  • Magellan, God of Colorful Poison (House of Toxicity, Lawful Neutral)-a ruthless warden, Magellan can manipulate and control poison. It takes the form of colorful purple poison, and a crimson red if really pissed
  • May Reilly-Parker, Goddess of Adaptation Age-Change -Aunt May's pretty old in the original comics, looking more like Peter Parker's grandmother. In other continuities and Spider Man shows/movies she's usually de-aged to a young 50s-60s or even younger rather than the 70s-80s she is on Earth-616
  • Dr Robert Scranton, God of Isolation-Induced Madness (House of Causes of Madness, Lawful Neutral)-Dr Scranton was the inventor of the Scranton Reality Anchor and researcher into altered levels of reality. He was stuck in SCP-3001, an empty void dimension, for years with only his own body and a winking red light for stimulus. He proceeded to decay both in mind and body as there was literally nothing else

Now that Plants are their own house, I think it's time to bring up some other Nature splits:

  • Water And Moisture: Lagiacrus, Nautilus, Percy Jackson, Rain (i) Chaos, Davy Jones, Rikuo (l) Bianca (d)
  • Ice And Cold: Kaldr and Lissandra (g), Jack Frost, Kuai Lang, Queen Elsa (i), Cryogonal, Cygnus Hyoga, Mei-Ling Zhou, Olaf, Ymir (l), Jack Frost(SMT) (d) (candidates suggested by RJ-CLOVIS-93)
  • Earth And Rock: Geb (g), Heatran, Medusa, Raigor Stonehoof, Sakazuki, Toph Bei Fong (i), Baragon, Barroth, Rumble and Frenzy (l) (candidates suggested by RJ-CLOVIS-93)
  • Metal And Minerals: Gaara, (g), Crocodile, Dartz, Diancie, Erik Lensherr, Gajeel Redfox, Jirachi, Sandy (i), Carbink, Johan Anderson (l), John Henry Irons (d) (candidates suggested by RJ-CLOVIS-93)
  • Light And Brightness: Ezalor (o), The Light of Destruction, Sora (g), Zs'skayr (i), Bright Man, Sakura Kagami, Satsuki Kiryuin (l) (candidates suggested by RJ-CLOVIS-93)
  • Darkness And Shadow: Chernabog (g), Jackie Estado, Nightmare Moon, Shikamaru Nara (i), Dark Link, Midna, Riddick, Zed (l), Koichi Kimura, Vashta Narada (q) (candidates suggested by RJ-CLOVIS-93)

I'd like to replace Phazon's Sentient Phlebotinum with Toxic Phlebotinum (I know of other candidates for Sentient but not as good Toxic since the substance itself is a deity) and move it to Toxicity to explain how the house of Light & Darkness. How's that?

  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His book, the "Mantannian Dictionary"

  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Short and Smart, Always carries a large book with him, which he can also use as an effective weapon, Muggle Best Friend (aside from being able to see ghosts), The Smart Guy, Much weaker than his friends, but is unquestioningly loyal to them and always willing to run head first into danger to help them, Eventually became a Shaman in the anime
  • Domain(s): Shortness, Intelligence, Knowledge
  • Followers: Lloyd, Jeff
  • Allies:
  • Rivals:
  • Enemies:
  • Opposes: The Dursleys
  • Manta grew up in a cold home environment. His father was very strict and looked down on anything Manta did that wasn't academic, his mother was a a very shallow and superficial person and his sister, by the time she was five years old, was put in charge of their father's company's software department when her mastery at computers was discovered. Manta's father had high expectations of him, as he wanted Manta to inherit his company. As a result, Manta became very intelligent and studious, attending cram school and constantly carrying around a large book. One day, while taking a shortcut through a cemetery on his way home, Manta ran into Yoh Asakura, who then invited him to stargaze along with him and the ghosts, which prompted Manta to panic and run away. Later on, Manta witnessed Yoh defeating "Wooden Sword" Ryu and his gang, who had earlier taken up residence at the cemetery and beaten up Manta. Afterwards, the two became friends. Although Manta is not a Shaman and prone to panicking, he's still willing to run head first into danger if there's the slightest chance he can help his friends. As an adult, he inherited his father's company and became rich. He also began investigating the benefits of mixing shamanism and business.
  • Upon his ascension, Manta was happy to be reunited with Yoh and Anna, although he was also rather nervous to discover that Faust was present within the pantheon as well. Manta and Yoh frequently spend time catching up together, usually by taking walks through the House of Nature.
  • Manta quickly befriended Krillin and Sho Marufuji, as the three of them are all short guys who are best friends with people much stronger and more capable than themselves.
  • Having grown up with a Fantasy-Forbidding Father, Manta became good friends with Harry Potter, who was similarly forced to be "normal" by his relatives while he grew up. He also strongly dislikes the Dursleys for what they put Harry through, with them returning the sentiment in kind.
  • Manta often spends time in the House of Knowledge, wishing to learn as much as he can. He also befriended Histoire during his visits, as she similarly has a large book filled with information.
  • He became good friends with Ness due to the latter's experiences with genuis type people in his world. Shortly after he and Ness met each other, Manta accepted both Lloyd and Jeff as his followers.
  • Wishing to learn more about different kinds of magic, Manta visited the House of Magic and was surprised to see Edward Elric, whom he had previously also seen in the House of Science. The two struck up a conversation about alchemy and have generally remained on good terms since. However, Manta inadvertendly angered Edward when he brought up his short height and has tried to avoid bringing it up in subsequent encounters.
  • He gets along well with Katyusha, despite her large ego. However, he nonetheless respects her skills as a commander and understands that her ego is justified. Katyusha also enjoys hanging out with Manta due to him being shorter than her.
  • Manta was surprised to learn that, in an alternate universe, he eventually became a Shaman, with Mosuke as his guardian ghost. This inspired him to properly start training to eventually become a Shaman.
  • In order to learn more about shamanism, Manta sought out Nightwolf for information and possible training. Manta was saddened to hear about what had happened to Nightwolf in his home universe, and hopes that Nightwolf will one day be freed from Quan Chi's control.
  • Although he's become a lot more comfortable around ghosts, Manta generally still prefers to avoid places such as the House of Ghosts unless he's accompanied by Yoh.

  • Complicated Relationship with: Blackbeard
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Night Raid
  • One-Time Employer: Al Capone
  • Edward was born in Swansea, Wales to humble farmers. At the age of seventeen, Edward met Caroline Scott, who intervened on his behalf during an altercation. The two fell in love and, despite their differences in social status, were married. Wishing to provide Caroline with a decent life, Edward became a privateer for the Royal Navy and, once accepted, found himself stationed in the West Indies. However, an abrupt end to the War of the Spanish Succession and the promise of gold, glory and fame eventually seduced him into a life of piracy. It was during this quest that Edward first encountered the Assassin and Templar orders, and became embroiled in their struggle. After losing nearly all of his closest friends over the course of several years, he realized the folly of his quest for glory. He then joined the Assassin Brotherhood, hunted down the Templars in the region and entrusted the Observatory to the Assassins. Eventually, Edward learned that Caroline had passed away during his absence and was later introduced to their daughter, Jennifer, whom he had unknowingly fathered prior to his departure. After returning to Britain and receiving a pardon, Edward soon acquired an estate in London and married Tessa Stephenson-Oakley, with whom he fathered a son named Haytham. Edward also joined the British Brotherhood of Assassins and eventually became their leader. However, Edward was ultimately killed in his manor by mercenaries in the employ of the Templar Grand Master Reginald Birch, who wanted to acquire Edward's journal.
  • Originally ascending as one of Ezio's many followers, Edward drew the attention and sympathy of Il Mentore due to his past tragedies. Deciding to grant him a position as a deity, Ezio eventually succeeded in granting him the title of God of Underhanded Heroes. Although all of the Assassins had used underhanded methods to various degrees, Edward was most well-known for his use of such methods.
  • Edward quickly befriended fellow pirate deities such the Straw Hats, Portgas D. Ace, Sabo, Edward Newgate, Boa Hancock and the Gokaigers. He's quite supportive of Luffy's dream of becoming Pirate King and was amazed by all of the skills and abilities of his crew. Although he finds the Gokaigers pretty weird, he relates to the fact that they don't think of themselves as heroes. Having previously lost all of his comrades, he enjoys once again being around people who understand him. However, due to being a pirate, Edward also became enemies with Sakazuki, who has placed him pretty high on his list of pirates he intends to eliminate, and Stannis Baratheon, who hates pirates in general.
  • Edward gets along quite well with Jack Sparrow, whose love of rum exceeds even that of Edward. Edward is also on good terms with Will and Elizabeth, who sympathize with him over his pirate past and regard him as being at least more reliable than Jack.
  • Sora having his own ship called the Leviathan gained him the attention of Edward and other sailors in the Pantheon. Edward quickly came to like Sora due to his enthusiasm for being a pirate, although he also cautioned him to try and avoid the more unsavory aspects of the pirate's life. Edward was decidedly less happy to hear that Luxord, one of Sora's enemies had his own vessel as well. After a battle with Luxord, Edward and Sora also encountered Heartless that could possess ships and commandeer them for terrorizing the seas. Fortunately, their weak points made them tremendously easier to sink than conventional man-crewed ships.
  • Having spent the later portion of his life traveling the world in search of First Civilization sites and artifacts, Edward occasionally teams up with Lara Croft to go on adventures. Although intially skeptical of Edward, Lara came to appreciate his ability to keep up with her and his use of Eagle Vision to avoid traps and find hidden places. Since then, the two have been good friends.
  • Edward managed to strike up a friendship with John Constantine after the two had noticed that they shared the same voice. As they had both lost friends and gone through incredible hardships, they quickly bonded and can occasionally be seen hanging out together.
  • Like the other Assassins, Edward strongly dislikes Shay Cormac. The fact that Shay works alongside Edward's son Haytham and was responsible for Adéwalé's death has resulted in Edward attacking him on several occasions, although these encounters have so far always ended in a draw. Shay and Haytham have occasionally attempted to turn Edward against the Assassins by pointing out how he had worked with the Templars in the past, but Edward has consistently refused to do so, fully affirming his allegiance to the Assassin Brotherhood and that their cause is something that he truly believes in.
  • He quickly became enemies with Black Manta upon discovering that he was willing to hurt children. Manta being a modern pirate initially intrigued Edward, but the extent of his cruelty was something that Edward could not tolerate.
  • Due to his friendship with Adéwalé, a former slave, Edward dislikes slavery and strongly opposes Calvin J. Candie and Stephen. Candie is particularly annoyed by the fact that he's being judged by a pirate, but nonetheless, he and Stephen try to avoid Edward as much as possible.
  • Edward was pleasantly surprised to hear that Blackbeard was in the pantheon. Assuming that the claims of him being Chaotic Evil were just a result of Thatch deliberately cultivating such a reputation for himself, Edward decided to seek him out. However, Edward discovered that, within the pantheon, Blackbeard has a habit of switching between different incarnations of himself from various universes, ranging from the treacherous Marshall D. Teach to a buffoonish Rider-class Servant. As a result, their encounters vary from the two having a drink and pleasantly reminiscing about old times to the two engaging each other in combat. Their relationship isn't helped by the fact that, when Blackbeard and Al Capone engaged in a rap battle, Edward was hired by Capone to retrieve his rum supply from Blackbeard, during which he killed several members of Blackbeard's crew. Edward has since apologized for doing it, insisting that it wasn't anything personal, but it still remains a sore point between the two.

  • Opposes: The Comic Book Guy
  • Uneasy Relationship: Stan Lee, The SCP Foundation

  • Not to be Confused with: Grigori Rasputin
  • It was recently revealed that the folks from The DCU have decided to use property from the Watchmen once more. This time, they revealed hat Dr. Manhattan was responsible for creating the current state of the DC Universe. This was the last straw for their original writer, one named Alan Moore. He has seen his creations used outside of his original intent for the past few years and now wants to have a greater say in things. With that, he himself applied for godhood. While Stan Lee was initially against the idea, he received an out pour of support from many of his creations. He eventually relented and granted Alan Moore access to the Pantheon. The writer now contemplates what to do with his newfound power.
  • His specialty is the ability to take upon the works of previous workers and tweak them in order to create a better story as a result. He made a storied history with doing that Swamp Thing who probably owes his ascension to him. While his run on the characters were short, they were considered to be one of the signature stories of all time.
    • He also wrote some of the best stories of Superman and Batman in the forms of Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? and The Killing Joke respectively. As such, the World's Finest were happy about his ascension.
    • Barbara Gordon's opinion on the man has been mixed. She believed that her story was left in the cold when the Joker crippled her. On the other hand, her time as Oracle was beloved by many, even when she was able to walk again.
  • Among his DC works, he was responsible for bringing the Spectre back to relevance in his world. He would have appreciated it more if not for the introduction of John Constantine, one of the slipperiest magicians in the Pantheon. You wouldn't see the Blue-Collar Warlock singing his praises, but he does have the writer's gratitude.
  • His most beloved creation was the world of Watchmen It is considered to be one of the best graphic novels of all time and has even been studied in college. While he appreciates the recognition for his accomplishment, he lamented how the book played a part in kickstarting The Dark Age Of Comic Books. He was especially miffed with how popular Rorschach when he wrote the Anti-Hero as a cautionary tale.
  • His other well known creation in the Pantheon is the anarchist known as V. It is well known that he himself doesn't mind a few of such ideas to shake up the system. Unfortunately for him, that too became a film. He can at least smile at how it failed to impress the critics.
  • His biggest Berserk Button is with people who try to adapt the works of previous art, especially his own. That includes exploring other parts of his work without his permission. He resisted attempts by DC to create a sequel, but as he did not have the rights to the characters, the company eventually made one.
  • Of course whenever that props up, some people snark about his own adaptation of various Victorian Era figures called The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. While the book was well received, he got a bit of flak for the depiction of a certain number of characters, especially with Mina Harker. Alan Moore has defended his work, citing its many accolades. That too became a movie that he predicably hated (though in this case the hatred was justified).
  • His ascension brought about the potential for revenge from one particular person: The Comic Book Guy. The last time the two met, he stopped the nerd from trashing the comic book store he was at. The geek knew just how to piss him off: by claiming that the movie was the greatest comic book movie of all time. Not willing to take that slight standing, Alan Moore demanded to take this up to a debate. In the resulting debate, the Comic Book Guy unleashed a surprisingly good amount of lore to keep the writer on his toes. Ultimately, the audience was convinced that the book was the better product. The Comic Book Guy tried to attack him again... only to get his ass kicked a second time. The two are now under a gag order to keep the two apart.
  • For the last time, just because he looks like Rasputin doesn't mean he's the later in reincarnated form. How could be be if he isn't nearly as evil as his counterparts. That hasn't stopped the likes of the Question from keeping an eye on him.
  • The two may work at different genres, but GRRM shares his sentiment in regards to other people using his characters in fanfiction. This is especially true since people tend to try and revive the characters he killed off.

Mako, The God Of Not Getting The Girl

  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His red scarf
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Firebender and Lightningbender, Responsible and Aloof Sibling, Fought Together with his brother, Half-Fire Nation, Half-Earth Kingdom, The Cynic, Grouchy with a Good Heart, Only Pairless of the Team But Got Over It
  • Domains: Fire, Romance
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Allies: Bolin (his brother), Korra, Asami Sato (his ex-girlfriends), Pabu and Naga, Lin Beifong, Tenzin, Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph Beifong, Zuko, Ling Yao, Greed, Lynn Minmay, Vi
  • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals.
  • Enemies: Amon (Legend of Korra), Zaheer, Azula
  • Opposes: Kuvira, Varrick
  • Mako was a young Firebender growing up in Republic City alongside his brother Bolin. Once a profession bender, he's a cop working in Republic City Police Force with some trouble in romance... and trouble is putting it lightly.
  • For clarity, he dated Asami Sato when the two met for the first time (or rather, ran him over first). But he got into sexual tension with Korra, who joined the Fire Ferret team, despite she was at the time went on a date with Bolin. The two got together when thing with him and Asami grew problematic and broke up, but then because of his work, she and Mako broke up. Overall, he decided that he should be a better partner in a future relationship.
    • People will never live down him being a terrible boyfriend. Some even point out that he was so bad that his exes are now a couple.
  • Lynn sympathizes him not being with a girl in the end. [write more]
  • Incidentally, Zuko was a Firebender that didn't get the girl (or rather, specifically Katara) but Mako is relieved with the outcome of how things went. Actually, both of them are tired of the Ship-to-Ship Combat.
  • Though he stopped being a pro-bender for at least four years, he and his brother Bolin considered introducing the sport into the Pantheon, considering that the requisite of a waterbender, firebender, and earthbender can easily work with the diversity of the Pantheon.
  • He is proficient in Lightningbending, a technique that was only used by the Fire Nation Royal Family, as he uses it for both fighting and working in an electric generator. It seems to tick off Azula who is insulted that the technique is being used by a peasant.
  • Due to signing up as a detective at Republic City Police Force, he took part-time at the House of Justice. He once worked with the Triple Threat Triad when he was orphaned as the only way to provide for himself and Bolin, which he shows some sympathy towards Vi as he was no different.

Bolin, The God of Near-Death Skill Learning (Nuktuk)

  • Domains: Earth, Lava, Life or Death
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Allies: Mako (his brother), Korra, Pabu and Naga, Asami Sato, Lin Beifong, Tenzin, Varrick, Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, Greed
  • Annoying Fanboy of: Toph Beifong
  • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals.
  • Enemies: Amon (Legend of Korra), Zaheer, Azula, Sakazuki
  • Opposes: Kuvira, GUAC Yandere Squad including Yuno Gasai, Kotohana Katsura, Sekai Saionji, Yubel, Nu-13
  • Avoids: Norma Desmond
  • Bolin was a young Earthbender growing up in Republic City alongside his brother Mako. Champion profession bender, former mover star, deserter, Bolin fought alongside his brother and Avatar Korra in her adventures.
  • During his stay in Baofu, the metal city, he wanted to learn metalbending like his hero Toph with little success in his attempt and even believe that he'll never learn it. When the Red Lotus nearly trapped him, Mako, Asami, and the wounded Tenzin in wave of lava that consumed the Northern Air Temple, he managed to lavabend the flow out of pure desperation.
  • He was excited to see Toph in the Pantheon, who is currently in her prime as a youth. Toph often shut herself off from Bolin just so he could stop bothering her, plus she doesn't want to constantly remind herself that he is dating her granddaughter, Opal.
  • Due to running away from his "fiancee" Eska, he wanted to avoid many women that are obsessed with love.
  • Bolin is very tired of the Ship-to-Ship Combat, especially as it goes against his brother.
  • Bolin found another "lavabender" named Sakazuki, but found him to be crazy like Kuvira. Though, he shamefully admits that he would have worked with him like his time working in the Earth Empire, but it's an Old Shame now.
  • Though he stopped being a pro-bender for at least four years, he and his brother Mako considered introducing the sport into the Pantheon, considering that the requisite of a waterbender, firebender, and earthbender can easily work with the diversity of the Pantheon.
  • Though he never became a metalbender, sometimes he didn't give up on trying to learn. He tried to learn metalbending from Gajeel Redfox but no progress has been made. Though he is rather impressed that he met someone who could eat metal.
  • He was once a mover star when he was persuaded by Varrick to play the lead role of The Adventures of Nuktuk: Hero of the South as a propaganda tool for a potential profit. When the House of Theater try to persuade to play in their movies, he decline as he felt saddened that he mistreated his friends in his short-lived fame. Especially since there was a crazy lady in the House that tried to make him part of her "comeback."

Question, is a boss that comes before the Final Boss considered a Mini-Boss?

Could that fit Kintaro and Motaro? The two are the sub-boss before you face Shao Kahn

@Edward Kenway: Enemies with Stannis Baratheon. The guy hates pirates.

[up] Juli and Juli got Mini-Boss along with Dual Boss. But I'm willing to hand off the former to Motaro and Kintaro.

After some soul-searching, I've made the decision to return to Pantheon work, if only to complete the profiles I already have. I assume no one has touched them. In the meantime, I hope I can contribute in the Pantheon by helping other tropers with their profiles. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

@ Clovis: James Potter gets my [tup]. He could be friends with Luke Skywalker, who faced a similar situation with his father. James could stay away from Darth Sidious, who is basically a more successful version of Voldemort.
@ Patrickthekid: [tup] for Alan Moore.
@ Mariovsonic: Mako could be jealous of harem protagonists like Shido Itsuka, Ayato Amagiri and Lux Arcadia, who have love interests to spare.

[up]Glad to have you back, at least for a time.

By the way, Cel Prev XXVI posited a better candidate for Top Wife in Amida Arca. At least Yumina still has Magnetic Girlfriend to hold. I hope you get to work on her and Touya soon.

Wondering if there's a trope that'd fit the Porygon family, any ideas?
