Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

I actually would recommend looking this book series up if you guys like dark kids' media. Real hidden gem if you can take punishingly bleak endings.

Okay, so to add further context for the sad story of Tim Barnett, he's just a regular happy Lil kid staying with his Grandmother, who's husband mysteriously vanished. On a bike ride he comes across the Orchard of Bill Cole, a nasty, anti-social old man. Tim sneaks onto the property and Bill goes ape, threatening the boy with a shotgun.

The feud escalates when angry Bill barges into dinner and threatens revenge if the boy comes on his orchard again. Tim, sick of his Grandma taking Bill's shit, decides to enact a daring revenge plan on by spelling out the word "BULLY" on Cole's lawn. He eats one of the prized apples.

Then the story becomes a kids version of Tetsuo: The Iron Man minus the iron. Tim starts coughing up seeds. His dog Banjo is scared of him. He finds a leaf deep in his ear. That night his body is growing these ugly bumps, and his belly gorges up an apple. He heads to Cole's for answers and finds The Trees Have Faces-specifically those of all the poor kids who ate from that orchard. Tim breaks down when he sees his Grandfather's face on one. Tim is rooted to the spot and fully transforms into a new tree while the evil Cole watches and the bark covers his face.

And what's more, Tim isn't even the unluckiest kid in these books. Interestingly, there were Manga adaptations of the stories that were only ever released in Japan. I found a copy of the first.

Here's a few screens I took. Sorry but I don't know how to stand em right side up.

I noticed how we have Sofia the First in the Pantheon but I wonder if Cedrick could get in for Because You Were Nice to Me. His entire growth stems from Sofia's unwavering kindness as early as episode 4 and even when he petrifies everyone with a Medusa Stone, she's the only one he refuses to hurt. And even when Sofia sees him in the dungeon, the thing that makes her more upset wasn't the petrification but him saying she wasn't his friend. Without Sofia, Cedric would never move forward from the trauma that ruined his reputation as court mage.

[down][down]Got a good symbol for him outside Cedric's wand though? He never really had one personally if I recall. Wormy doesn't count.

[up][up][up] If you plan to make the profile for both Tim and Cole, [tup] given your justification last page. That said, regarding pics, they're optional if there aren't any substantial and official pics available.

[up][up] [tup] for replacing Inugami with Cedric mainly since the former has a very shabby profile and the latter fits the trope better imo.

First draft of the Milliways retool. Who has experience with the natural end of time or restaurants in unorthodox locations

Milliways, Divine Setting At The End Of The Universe (The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_p05pvnnfqr1tpri36o1_1280.jpg
The advertisement for the restaurant
  • Hall: Establishments And Districts (The Dominions Expansion)
  • Description: A fine 5-star restaurant situated right before the end of the universe, where Magrathea once stood
  • Symbol: A symbol of a restaurant with the omega symbol inside it
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Establishment At The End Of Time, Complicated Time Travel, It Runs on Nonsensoleum, Watch the World Die, Massive Compound Interest
  • Domains: Fine Dining, Time Travel, Compound Interest, Entropy, Apocalypse
  • Noted visitors: Arthur Dent, Marvin the Paranoid Android, Thor, Odin, Loki
  • Regulars: Death of the Endless, Michael John Carter/Booster Gold, The Doctor, The Master (mainly the War Master incarnation), Ashildr, Clara Oswald, Chrono's Party
  • Barred entry: The Grand United Alliance of Destruction, especially Lord English (and by extension Doc Scratch)
  • A novel idea for a space restaurant, Milliways is an establishment sent all the way to right before the universe comes to its end. It will be built on the ruins of the planet Frog star World B, about 570 billion years into the future. A well-regarded establishment where some of the greats in the universe come to visit, and thanks to the temporal mechanics you can visit as many times as you want without meeting yourself or dying with the universe. All you have to do once you return is leave behind just a little money and compound interest will take care of the rest. Of course this is all impossible, but if you've done six impossible things this morning, why not round it off with breakfast in Milliways. There's an opposite establishment, the Big Bang Burger Bar, found at the other end of the timeline.
  • One of the most temporally remote locations in the Trope Pantheon, it's a place so far into the future that even the Doctor's TARDIS has a hard time reaching. Without a reservation or access to the taxi or Uber Milliways uses, the only way to get there is a) hitchhike on someone powerful enough to reach the end of time and live or b) simply exist long enough you reach the end of time. The latter is an accomplishment a few have accomplished, such as Ashildr, who on her way to return Clara to her right timeframe had the night of their immortal lives at Milliways. Death of the Endless, or rather her very distant future self, is a regular patron as she gets ready to lock the doors on the universe when it ends. Sometimes she finds work there, more out of something to fill the time when the inevitable loneliness of the end comes than any actual need. It helps patrons feel more comfortable with the inevitable.
  • Professor Farnsworth is able to time travel to Milliways on his own by figuring out where Milliways will be stationed, and just use the forwards time machine to get there. When he tried this the first time he overshot, went beyond the last proton decay and found himself in the Big Bang Burger Bar by accident. Him and Fry just had a meal there and plan to go to Milliways at a later point. The professor blames Enrico Pucci for this, since his Stand "Made in Heaven" lets him speed up time all the way to the end of the universe and start of the next. The priest ignores this, since the point of the Stand is make it so souls don't have time to die and be reincarnated with knowledge of their future; he's not in it for time travel as it's traditionally used. If he wants to visit Milliways, he'll do so the way everyone else does rather than using his Stand for such frivolous purposes.
  • The main attraction of Milliways is a viewing of the "Gnab Gib", the reverse Big Bang that ends the universe. A shield surrounding the restaurant prevents this from destroying the establishment and everyone on it, sending them back in time so they can witness the whole thing happen again. Whether this will bring about a new universe, something Galactus is familiar with, is unknown. For safety, no-one is allowed to go outside the shield to check; it is so far into the future the Trope Pantheon isn't even sure how effective its Death Is Cheap rules will be. Booster Gold has noted it has a similar principle to Vanishing Point, a base for time travelers in the DC Universe, though the mechanics are somewhat different; Vanishing Point uses something known as a null-bubble. Given their mutual vicinity to the end time, Milliways is a popular restaurant he likes to visit.
  • The House of Commerce has a bunch of "well, actually" guys who think the Compound-Interest Time Travel Gambit is fishy. They are already calling out Fry having his 93 cents become 4.3 billion dollars after a millennium of compound interest given all the things even outside of inflation that could affect those earnings, but logically how valuable would that compound interest be right before the end of the universe? Not that this stops them from going to Milliways anyway. Mr Burns was at first a bit annoyed that he only needed to give a dollar for a Michelin-star meal since the method of payment means he can't flex his wealth, but quickly got over it since it's less of a drop in the bucket for him. He wishes they had condors on the meal.
  • One of the Dish of the Days is the Ameglian Major Cow, a meal genetically designed to want to be eaten and tell you so. This kind of masochistic meal (no, not Masochist's Meal, but they probably have that too) was made to ease the conscience of whoever eats it, though Arthur Dent certainly didn't think so. The Hall of Flesh Eaters think he's being a pansy and doesn't get the problem. Thor enjoys the dish, noting that it reminds him of his goats Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjostr who he can slaughter for their meat and they'll come back good as new so long as the bones are preserved. Thor, Odin and other Norse gods are regulars at Milliways.
  • It's recommended not to have the cow served with the Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster served there, because few can handle something that's like "having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick". Even Barney Gumble hesitates when ordering the drink. That said, it's still considered "the best drink in existence", and can be enjoyed but just very carefully. The intensity of this can't be understatement. Captain America got wasted having one shot of the stuff. A beer bottle with the Gargle Blaster had Bender slur his speech when normally he has to be deprived of alcohol for that to happen. Only Dionysus himself was able to build a tolerance. He thinks the drink's overrated, in cause you're wondering.
  • You might think that, given it is evidence that the universe is going to end and that all-encompassing oblivion is waiting, that the Grand United Alliance of Destruction might appreciate the restaurant. In reality, many feel disheartened that Milliways exists so far into the future, not giving them much confidence they will destroy the universe first. They also have no guarantee that this is the final end of everything, as for all they know a new universe will emerge after the Gnab Gib akin to the Big Bounce theory. As the absolute last grand alliance known for off-time, they intend to somehow weaponize Milliways to bring that natural entropy all the way back to the present in one omnicidal Time Crash. Fortunately this mad goal hasn't been achieved, and the GUAD has been permanently banned from the restaurant. Lord English had been banned prior along with his associated Doc Scratch since his emergence is at the end of the universe, something he can easily survive.
  • Some consider the restaurant depressing given it is all about the inevitable end of the universe. Fortunately the employees tend to have an existentialist mindset. Due to its placement at the tail end of the timeline, it is a point of interest to those that want to combat said inevitable end. The Incubators really don't like Milliways as much as their Straw Vulcan psyche allows, since their goal is to prevent the heat death of the universe. The Xeelee hold a more "light-hearted" mindset. Though they are somewhat sad at the end of the universe they are glad it has not been accelerated as much as it was in their universe, and for those in the Hitchhiker's universe who want an out they will help construct a Bolder's Ring equivalent, just stripped down and not as big because their verse has much less to worry about. For those wondering, there is in fact a way to reverse entropy out there.
  • There are rumors you can hear or see other events at the end of time happening in the distance. Rumors talked about by the patrons include Azathoth mumbling in its sleep, the whirring's of Multivac's mechanisms and Gaspar being flung across time. Chrono's crew like to go to the restaurant as a breather after a big adventure. The Master also likes to visit Milliways. Before you ask no, he doesn't have an evil scheme this time, he just wants to have a meal. Primarily it's the War Master, as he's relieved at somewhere nice in the desolate era he escaped the Last Great Time War from. Sometimes he invites the Doctor.

  • Having to sacrifice his good prospects in order to make the people of Bedford Falls happy, George Bailey was miserable and down on his luck. One fateful Christmas Eve, however, it would seem that his life would be crashing down... After his uncle misplaced the money that was supposed to keep his family's loaning business afloat, he thinks of jumping off a bridge to pay the missing money with his life insurance. But before he could end it all, he rescued a man from a river. The older man claimed to be his Guardian Angel, who wished to earn his wings by making George appreciate his life. Still feeling miserable, George accidentally made a wish that it would be better that he was never born. He got his wish, which was granted as he visited an Alternate Universe where everyone he knew of were miserable, undoing every good thing he's ever done, all the friendship he'd made and losing his family. After taking back his wish, he's a much happier person and his misfortunes reversed, with the townspeople he had help coming to his aim and donating money to make up for the missing cash. On that day, he came to learn these immortal words that comes with friends:
Remember no man is a failure who has friends.
  • Ascended after realizing that he truly had a Wonderful Life and inspiring people to value their own wonderful life. George does not fully remember how and when he ascended. He just remembered receiving a strange letter, wondered into a strange part of town, panicked as he noticed he didn't recognized that part of town and thinking he was being tricked again. It was only after seeing Clarence again (now with his full set of wings) and having the angel explained everything to him, did George calmed his nerves a bit. Shortly after George ascended, the Court were able to approved his request to fix his deaf left ear, which is not hard with so many willing healers around.
  • Found out that his situation of wishing he was never born and being shown how life is without him has happen to others. He felt both unnerved and amazed about this revelation. Unnerved because it mean that they suffered a similar existential dread of having no one to to remember them like he was; but also amazed how his story affected the lives of those beyond his world and knowing that it would at least make them appreciate their life just as he does. He has befriended some of these peoples like Kermit, Duncan and Donald.
    • Besides those who wished they were never born, he also heard stories those who wished they never met someone, never left their hometown, never taken that job or role that they have ect., with most of whom ended up being worse than what they had originally. He's also befriended some of those people and was glad they were able to appreciate their lives too. He's also observed that some of those people who shared his story were superheroes, whose absence also affect their teammates lives, their loved ones' lives and the lives of people that they saved. In turn, he was surprised that he was earn the respect of others (namely both Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent) who admired his perseverance in his battle against Potter and helping the little men.
    • However, George is closest to Timmy Turner because his "Wonderful Plot" was just utterly cruel. Especially since what lead up to the situation was because people were being ungrateful towards Timmy and being shown how people were better off without him. George thought it was heartless to do to a kid. Even it was just a Secret Test of Character. He dislikes Jorgen Von Strangle, who was the one to tested the kid, as a result of this.
      • Jorgen argues with George that he just teaching the child that good deeds should be done for what is right and shouldn't be done out of praise. He agrees on that statement but still thinks his methods are still cruel. The fairy then tries to change his mind about the matter by showing George other stories where the person's life was better off without them existing, as their loved one lived better lives without them. Most of them either didn't get the lesson (like the case of Cheryl Blossom, Butt-Head, and Johnny Bravo) or lived out of pure sprite (like in the case of Nostalgia Critic, Dick Dastardly, or Al Bundy). This didn't help Jorgen's case (and even the fairy admits he shown the latter three's stories for a quick laugh) and George was just disappointed in them. He did find at least one world where the lesson actual sticks with them, which he's at least thankful for.
    • He also deeply dislikes who use his situation for their own nefarious gain. Take Shrek or Sonic for example, as their respective enemies used to powers to prevent their existence, thus having no one to oppose them at all. He likens it to what happen to him when Mr. Potter took over Bedford Falls in his absence, except way way worse. He dislikes Dr. Robotnik for these reasons and if Rumpelstiltskin ever ascended, he's going to give him a piece of his mind as well.
    • Stan Smith's story highly intrigued him. Like him, he too had an angel that tried to teach him to appreciate his family...twice. Once by taking away his original family and replacing the ones he currently has (which is the family he ascended with) as punishment and twice by switching places with his children's Principal causing him to marry his replacement wife and become the father of his children). Stan instead wishes to return to his replacement family as that he grows attached to them. He's not specifically interested in Stan himself (he's frustrated in him in not learning his lessons), but more so in the idea that had he not learned his lesson and wasn't distraught by the changes in his town, he would have probably have stayed be like Stan and started a new life as well.
  • George Bailey is often consider the most selfless man in the entire pantheon as every sacrifice he ever made for the benefit of others. Because of this, he has earn the respect of others. {Steven Universe, Carl Fredricksen, Dipper Pines}
  • {More people who are like George, Ebenezer Scrooge, Scrooge McDuck, Michael Newman, Rip Van Winkle}
  • {He's a man from the late 40's, so he has different values} Was very disturbed when he found out there were people who thought Pottersville was a cool place with all those clubs and what not. This is despite the fact the place was utterly corrupt with many living miserable lives. {With modern corporations often ruin people's life too, he also people who understand what he's gone through too.}
  • George distrusts any crooked and corrupt business people in general for taking advantage of those who are in need and especially if they are desperate. Does not care very much for Mr. Burns as his entire character reminds him of Mr. Potter. Though, he doesn't understand how one minute he could be less evil then Potter and other times be worse than him. He also dislike Seto Kaiba. This is because he heard how he made two million in buying a family company and basically blackmailing them to buy it back or he fire everybody in the company.
    • {His loaning business, YMMV}
  • One of George's life long dreams was being able to travel across the world. While he couldn't do that in his former life, with his ascension, he is able to finally fulfil that dream. It isn't just limited to global traveling as he was giving permission, with a special pass, to enter certain other universes. Though, to be on the safe side, a representative of that world does chaperone him. George also got a chance to do a bit of architecting for the pantheon and helping with remodeling and rebuilding any temples that get wreck. It happens more often than you think.
  • {Angels} As he was saved by the Angel Clerance, George has massive respect to many of the good Angels here. It's unknown how he feels about the fallen ones, however.
  • Often visits the House of Despondency to help others overcome their suicidal thoughts by sharing his experiences. He wants to help others the way Clarence helped him. He has conflicting opinions on people who committed Suicide for Others' Happiness. On one hand, he was sadden, even that he views suicide as a sin from God, illegal and also wished they had found other solution that didn't come to that opinion. On the other hand, knowing that it is like to be in that position, he's sympathetic to them somewhat.
  • During WWII, his family helped with the war effort in supporting roles. His brother Harry serve as a pilot and became a war hero. George himself became never a solder on account of his deaf left ear, instead he stayed home as air raid warden as well as running the local scrap drives. George was proud to hear when his brother as awarded Congressional Medal of Honor for his efforts. Had he not saved his brother from a frozen lake when they were kids (where he can an infections where he lost hearing his left ear), Harry would have not been there to save those people on the transport ship. George certainly didn't expect other soldiers from the Allied side to be deified too, but whenever he meets any of them, he paid respects to them for serving their country.
  • George befriended several young children in the Pantheon too. He became good friends with Sara Crewe after learning about how she was financially troubled after her father’s death yet was able to have her fortunes recovered. The girl looks up to him as a father figure. He also became very close to Charlie Brown when he learned of the bald kid's determination despite his constant failures. Hearing Pollyanna Whittier's story sort of reminded him of his own, as her endless optimist helped that townspeople and they were able to her by lifting her sprits up when she was at her lowest.
  • {AUs and his original story} Many are upset that George never got even against Potter for all the crap he gave him. Rumor has it that there was an alternate outcome of Clarence the Angel giving a "Reason You Suck" Speech to Potter.
  • He sometimes hangs out with Peter Warne and Ellie Andrews due to their respective films sharing the same director and can be seen sharing his exploits with them. {Scottie Ferguson}
  • {Paul McCartney is planning a write a play for him.}

Bruce Nolan would likely be horrified at the numerous evil gods like Kefka who gained god-like power and reveled in abusing it to a psychopathic degree, to say less of those innately Godly and evil like YHVH (who would yell at the Alpha And Omega for giving a mortal that kind of power), Zamasu (who's everything a god shouldn't use their power for and would likely project every bad thing about himself onto Bruce or Chuck Shurley (who seemed reasonable if imperfect but is slowly revealed to be an abusive parent and creator that treats existence like a show and is immensely callous as a result). And then of course there's Light Yagami, someone who went mad from merely having the trappings of a god via the Death Note, and would grill Bruce for not using his powers in a more proactive fashion to fix the world despite his way killing thousands and despite what he believes, is primarily a way to feed his ego.

Also I wonder how he'd feel about Canaletto since they're both dark disgraced gods but Canaletto is a lot less wisecracking.

@Lawliet

For George, Castiel and Dudley are angels. Madoka Kaname and Shirou Emiya have a habit of sacrificing themselves or otherwise risking themselves for others happiness and well-being (bonus points for Madoka making the world a better place by erasing her existence from the mortal plane).

For Bruce, the Madrigal family use their magical Gift powers responsibly, using them to help out in the community than for selfish gain.

@Lawliet, for Bruce, The Collector, and Fat Majin Buu are both childish entities with godlike powers (especially the Collector) who mainly used them to play games without realizing the damage they were doing to the world (again, especially the Collector who can forge entire pocket universes to serve as a bedroom) before they were taught to be better.

Also from Fat Buu's house, the Beyonder is very disillusioned with his own Reality Warper powers.

On an unrelated note, would anyone be willing to help me with a strange issue where some profiles, including ones I have worked on in the past, for some reason don't have their character image actually hovering right under their title and alias section? It looks bad, and I want to fix it, but don't know how.

  • Symbol: Their classic arcade sprites.

  • Domains: Ghosts, "Monsters", Mazes, Minions
  • Heralds: Fellow ghosts Sue, Tim, Yum-Yum, Funky, Spunky and Kinky
  • Allies: King Boo (Depending On His Mood), The Boos, The Koopalings, BeetleJuice, Spooky, The Devil World's Devil, Dr. Eggman, Wreck-It Ralph
  • Enemies: Pac-Man (Verges on Friendly Enemy at times), The Ghostbusters, Danny Phantom, Luigi, Professor E. Gadd, Galeem and Dharkon
  • Friendly With: The House of Ghosts (C most notably)
  • The Ghost Gang, consisting of Blinky, Inky, Pinky and Clyde, are considered gaming's first proper A.I enemies and are arguably just as recognizable as Pac-Man himself. Initially starting out as generic "monsters" chasing Pac throughout a maze, they've since evolved into a pack of specters who spend their time terrorizing others, with Pac-Man either being the target of said terror or just him stepping in to stop them. Occasionally they've helped a bigger evil try and take over Pac-Man's world, with the four acting as their minions and Quirky Miniboss Squad, though at least once said evil was so great they reluctantly teamed up with Pac-Man to stop them. While their exact thoughts on Pac have varied over the years, either considering him their greatest foe or treating their conflicts like a 9-to-5 job, They've almost always represented the bad guys Pac-Man must beat to win. Almost.
  • They first made themselves known to The Pantheon doing what they do best: hiding in mazes or otherwise cramped buildings and domains and terrorizing anyone that steps foot in there. They mostly stuck with bothering Lesser or weaker deities, though they'll occasionally tangle with Intermediate ones if they were feeling brave. Either way, most victims noted that they weren't a joke despite their silly appearances, as they were fully capable of flanking or organizing ambushes to catch their victims. It didn't take long for the news to reach Pac-Man, who pretty much immediately knew what was happening once he heard about ghosts in mazes and so took off to put an end to their shenanigans locating and countering their strategies while systematically eating them one by one. Unfortunately for Pac, by the time they fled he found out that they were summoned to The Pantheon to get the title Blue with Shock, thanks to them, well, becoming blue when scared. The Ghosts shenanigans haven't changed much after properly ascending, save for their hauntings becoming more sporadic in favor of them targeting Pac-Man more.
  • As for their relationship with Pac-Man, it tends to very for the most part. On a normal day they're opposed to each other, but just how opposed tends to change. Sometimes the ghosts hate Pac enough that they intentionally summon that game's villain just to kill them, other times they're just doing their jobs as ghosts and are more or less strong-armed into schemes by a more scarier villain. If nothing else Pac-Man himself is consistently shown to not really mind them, considering them annoyances at worst with him focusing on whoever their boss is at the moment. Of course, there's the inevitable kart races and party games that the ghosts are invited to without problem or complaint, but at this point that kind of thing's expected for mascots like them. More recently, both parties discovered an alternate universe/potential future where the Ghost Gang are straight good guys and friends of Pac-Man's son Pacster, secretly helping him fight their abusive ruler Betrayus. The Gang aren't too sure what to feel about this even on their best days, but Pac himself thought it was more funny than anything and has joked that they'd get along great with his own son.
  • Despite the Gang not really being the ambitious sort, they've still been involved with countless large-scale attempts at conquering Pac-Man's world via becoming the minions of the villains responsible. Sometimes they've joined for a chance to get back at Pac, sometimes they were basically strong-armed into doing so, and occasionally they were actually the ones responsible for bringing the villain in. Regardless, they've resumed their habits in The Pantheon, as whenever they're not just terrorizing others they're helping some other Big Bad try and take over the Pantheon, often of (but not limited to) the specter variety. While they're generally compliant with whatever boss they have, with someone like King Boo it's a complicated case:: when he's just a minion of Bowser they're perfectly fine with him, but whenever he's fixated on taking revenge on Luigi he becomes much more ruthless and cruel to a degree that freaks out even them, and as such they end to sit out on his more destructive schemes.
  • Some gods aren't quite sure if the Gang are really ghosts or not, and if they are they deviate from the usual stereotypes quite a bit: they can't go through walls, are considered a separate species from Pac-People altogether, and their first outing treated them more as generic "monsters" wearing sheets. Still, with each game they get progressively more ghost-like, starting with them being plainly labeled "ghosts" and going from there, so both gaming and The Pantheon lump them with other ghosts for the sake of simplicity. For what it's worth, they get along just fine with most other ghosts, at least the ones that are just as enthusiastic about scaring as they are. Beetlejuice, a ghost that specializes in spooking people, thinks the Gang are good company and has invited them to help terrorize whoever he was hired to scare, and while his Dirty Old Man antics are a bit gross to them they otherwise think of him as a fine example of a ghost. Suprisingly, they get along fairly well with the Bedsheet Ghost C, possibly because of their similar appearances, though they usually try to convince him to go scare some people, which the passive C just finds annoying but otherwise tolerates their presence.
    • Most notably, the Gang have managed to get on the good side of the particularly vicious ghost child Spooky. The story goes that Pac-Man and the gang were doing their usual thing when all of a sudden, Spooky shows up with a knife and tried to stab Pac-Man. While Pac managed to escape, it was barely with his life and he was notably much more intimidated by her than he was with the Gang. Naturally, they were impressed and approached Spooky, who explained that she had a mission to create a whole ghost army to Take Over the World with so ghosts like her can finally be seen as scary, and came to recruit the Gang to her cause, knowing their enthusiasm for scares. The Gang immediately agreed and are now awaiting the day Spooky launches her scheme so they can terrorize as many people as they want.
  • Compared to other specters in The Pantheon, the Gang are generally seen as some of the less dangerous "evil" ghosts: they focus more on scaring and causing shenanigans than really hurting people when acting on their own accord, making them easier to deal with than other ghosts. That's not to say they're harmless, as they're more than willing to defend themselves when pushed and can be tricky to catch, but they all have a set pattern to their behavior that can be exploited. The Pantheon's most famous spook-catchers, the Ghostbusters, have had a few cases involving the Gang, and while the first time around the Gang gave them some trouble thanks to their maze navigating skills, the Ghostbusters figured out the aforementioned pattern and afterwards are able to capture them just fine, though the Gang have shown quite a knack for escaping to spook another day. Half-ghost hero Danny Phantom also had a few encounters with the Gang and considers them more of a nuisance than anything, helped by the fact that Danny can just go through their mazes while the ghosts cannot, which the gang consider cheating. There was also the time where they tried scaring Luigi after finding out of his fear of ghosts, but what they somehow didn't know was his Poltergust 300 and how willing Luigi was to use it, resulting in the gang becoming paintings for E. Gadd for a few hours before escaping.
  • If there's one thing that they're as good as Pac-Man at, it's navigating mazes, showing the same skills as Pac-Man at identifying and memorizing where they are no matter the maze. Where they really shine is using their design to flank others for a quick scare/kill, which is where they're at their most dangerous as they're also very good at it. Pac's usually able to avoid them just because he knows them and their "patterns" really well, and even he's admitted that they managed to get him a few times. As soon as the gang ascended, they were immediately contacted by the Devil of Devil World, who had repeated fights with Pac-Man and wanted revenge on him, ruling over a maze world that Pac constantly dominated. Thinking it would be a fun way to kill some time, the Gang agreed and can occasionally be seen in his world, adaptig their usual techniques to the ever-changing maze. Not only has Pac-Man tangled with both parties, they've also targeted others who got lost in Devil Worl, and they've admitted they make it much more trickier as well.
  • Being popular gaming characters with an important history, they've naturally played a role in the Smash Bros. tourneys, starting when Pac-Man joined the roster. While they aren't proper fighters, they play a number of roles: Pac-Man's actually able to summon them for attacks for starters, resulting from a temporary truce they made with Pac so they can be there to begin with. They themselves star in their own assist trophy, coming out to wander the battlefield as usual, even retaining their usual patterns during it. Finally, some versions come with their home maze as a stage, translated as a series of platforms transplanted over the iconic maze itself. Of course, their role in Smash resulting in them being some of many, many victims of Galeem and Dharkon's war, turning them into spirits that would attack others. They obviously found the whole thing unplesant and are willing to continue their truce with Pac-Man whenever Galeem tries anything funny again.
  • As with all Arcade characters, they have enough respect for Wreck-It Ralph and Fix-It Felix to leave them alone thanks to the two saving the arcade from being Cy-Bug chow, even when the two wander into their territory. Their respect for Ralph was also present even before Ralph saved the arcade thanks to Clyde: he used to hold "Bad-Anons" for other arcade villains so they can feel better about being the bad guy as part of their job. Clyde was notably more soft-spoken and intelligent back there and even expressed sympathy for Ralph's reluctance for his role, though he still encouraged Ralph to stick to the role. As soon as they ascended Clyde tried starting another Bad-Anon for other reluctant villains, only to see that Punch Clock Villains are much more rare in The Pantheon than it was in the Arcade. Still, they remain good buddies with Ralph, who has also invited them over to Fix-It Felix's game to spice it up.

@ Hades: Likely rivalry with Nekron. They're both dark entities of death (well, absence of life for Nekron but it's almost a po-ta-to po-tae-to difference) and are pure evil, desiring to kill humanity, but their attitudes are radically different. Hades is Practically Joker and Faux Affably Evil who knows what he is while Nekron is completely humorless and was intended by the writer to be Above Good and Evil (which given his CM profile, you can guess how well that went). Though claiming he's emotionless Nekron hates life's existence for being a trespasser in the cold darkness that preceded it and just wants anything with a heartbeat gone, while Hades wants to outright rule and subjugate people to his whims. Both care nothing for their subjects but unlike Hades Nekron's servants are entirely Black Lanterns that are essentially extensions of his will with the only loyal devotee being Black Hand (who is implied to have been groomed lifelong to agree with his nihilistic views anyway). In terms of how they'd fight while Nekron would likely have the edge in his own realm without a good power source and Black Hand being undead he's powerless outside of it

Will be out for two days for online seminars so I decided to drop my first rough draft for Grace Monroe here cause, let's face it, I need more allies than people who hate her for her actions. I also need to find a proper hall for her; Characterization house works but would Character Actions fit best?

Also, I took Cedric the Sorcerer for Because You Were Niceto Me but I'm having trouble with a proper symbol. Any suggestions?

  • Grace Monroe was once a Lonely Rich Kid who only wanted her parents' love. So she decided the best way to do so was by shoplifting. It failed as her parents tried to hide their daughters' crimes under the rug else ruin their reputation. Despondent, Grace was suddenly whisked away by a carriage complete with a red carpet onto the Infinity Train, where she would meet up with a strange monster with a massive green number, save a boy wearing socks and sandals from a giant cockroach, and bluff her way of stating she's a total expert on how to survive the Train, creating the cult known as the Apex — a group of chidren who ransacked cars and injured/killed innocent denizens in order to survive. All because she wanted to deny that she had no idea what the hell any of them were supposed to be doing.
    • Things changed when one day, in a raid in a car full of turtles, something caused the car she and the Apex were in to move on its own. She and Simon were thrown back to another car where they met with a girl named Hazel and her gorilla denizen partner Tuba. Noticing that Hazel's number was broken — it wasn't glowing like other numbers did — the two decided to have her join the Apex in order to get the numbers game to throw Tuba into the wheels. Unfortunately, Grace slowly learned to care for Hazel. Simon didn't. After more and more revelations arrived and Grace had to admit that her communication skills caused more problems than good, she was left to pick up the pieces of everything she did in the slimmest chance she and the Apex would finally leave.
  • Grace spent a year or so working on getting every member of the Apex's number to 0, seeing them off with a bittersweet farewell until she was left with her origami partner. The last thing that was on her mind was how she would face her parents; it had been more than a decade since she saw them last, and they most likely forgot about her or would still be the same neglectful/abusive parents they were previously. After thinking of it, Grace ultimately had to accept that it's pointless to get their attention and that she must work on herself from now on. This finally made her number reach 0 and a door opened for her...but instead of it leading to her house (which meant her origami partner couldn't follow her per Train rules), she ended up in the Gates of the Pantheon. The Court of the Gods were waiting until she was finally free of the Train before bringing her in, since she was the best represented of "blind leading the blind". Grace initially wanted nothing to do with the god business since this is the entire reason she screwed up so many people's lives, but decided that if this will make others learn to not make the mistakes she did, and also because she wanted to be far away from her parents, she accepted. And as a token of faith, her origami bird partner was allowed as a herald.
    • One of the first deities Grace met with was Kubo, who was capable of manipulating origami. Kubo questioned how Grace's origami friend was alive to which Grace had an awkward talk about how she visited a Train that had strange denizens that came alive. She pitied Kubo because his past made hers look completely tame — lost his eye to his grandfather, his dad died to his aunts, and his mom is in a catatonic state with brain damage. Kubo has also taken the time to tell Grace that he will send some origami birds to protect her since she will always have a target on her back. Grace was thankful that someone like him was kind enough to even care for her well-being.
  • Since Grace has at most a 4th grade education due to her extended trip on the Train, she has been ordered to take remedial lessons in the Elysium academy to make up for it. Naturally, many students are wary of her due to her reputation for corrupting children and never feeling sorry for it, and the fact that she's actually killed numerous denizens without a shred of sympathy. Grace was ready to accept her fate of being alone...until she met up with Gentaro Kisaragi, who decided that he'll be her friend so that way she wouldn't be alone anymore.
Grace: But why me? I've killed others! I lied and brainwashed kids for years. Why would someone like you be my friend?
Gentaro: I befriended the guy who wanted to use me as a shield, the guy who killed me to bring his friend back, and the principal of my school who killed my friend out of jealousy. And the way I see it, you're pretty remorseful for what you've done, right?
    • Grace was then met with Gentaro's friends who also accepted that she's willing to work on herself. They invited her to have some time on the moon so she can have a heart-to-heart with Gentaro, before cementing it with his handshake.
  • Ended up bonding with Asuka Langley Soryuu due to how they both suffered from having abusive parents and hide their insecurities with a haughty mask, although Grace is a bit disturbed with how abusive Asuka could be towards Shinji as not even she would lash out at Simon like that. Grace considered herself lucky that her mind wasn't defiled as badly as Asuka was by Arael, leaving the Eva Pilot a catatonic wreck since her worth was tied to how good she was in fighting the Angels. Unfortunately, Grace was unexpectedly caught in one of Arael's heavenly beams and began screaming in agony over how Arael tried to pry her mind over what made her want to kill denizens for the sake of it.
  • Grace is unsure whether to pity Sara Berry or not. On one hand, Sara was pressured to become Prom Queen under her abusive father's thumb, pushed everyone she loved aside and then snapped by killing six innocent girls who didn't know better. On the other hand, Grace had to remind herself that she was no better because Sara didn't corrupt others and her kill tally was less than Grace's over all. At least Grace has no intention on being Prom Queen, which means Sara is aloof at best to her.
  • Many Train deities have given her a ban from their temples, given the chaos she enacted on the last one she was in. Most notably, Ryotaro Nogami and the Pterandon family want nothing to do with her. They deal with time traveling trains, so what are the chances she does something stupid and rewinds time and makes things worse? Grace accepted that her reputation has pretty much made deities look down at her and it'll take a long time, if ever, for others to see she's not the "total expert on the Train" as before.
  • "I just...wanted to be noticed."

[up] Nanjo from the St.Hermelin High Students might sympathize with her backstory as a rich kid neglected by his parents. His closest parental figure was his butler, who then died and came back as his ultimate persona.

[up][up]Anne Boonchuy, Sasha Waybright, and Marcy Wu, Luz Noceda and Amity Blight, Emperor Belos, Ainz Ooal Gown, and Tanya the Evil are all "Isekai" deities. Marcy, and Luz also went to Amphibia, and the Boiling Isles respectively in the hopes of escaping a life that was rapidly turning against them, and they ran away into a place that was more conductive to them as people, and Luz in particular developed into a better and more thoughtful person. Belos aka Philip Wittebane did the exact opposite, and like Simon, grew to despise non human entities, albeit much worse.

[up][up][up] Adrien Agreste is a Lonely Rich Kid with a neglectful father and an absent mother. Subaru Natsuki and the Three Heroes were isekai'd to fantasy worlds and had inaccurate ideas about the worlds they were warped to based on the media they consumed. In Subaru's case, he thought he would be in a conventional power fantasy instead of a Dark Fantasy where he and his crew would suffer brutal deaths on the regular while the Three Heroes thought the world would function like a video game and get blindsided by the consequences of their actions.

For the Pac-Man ghosts, the pothole to Depending on the Writer in Inky's portfolio should be Inconsistent Coloring.

@DoodSlayer136 - Blinky, Inky, Pinky and Clyde

  • I feel like you should to add The Batter as an enemy even that the spectres he fought in his world resembles Bedsheet Ghosts. Given that he has a pension for attacking any ghosts (or hostile monsters/mooks in general) he comes across and views spectres as something that needs to be cleansed, they are no exception for purification. If you add that, you get a [tup] from me.

@SailorVenus372 - Hades
  • Maybe rename the title to Infernal God of Demeaning Pet Names as he is giving pet names in a demeaning way and makes the title that he has more clearly defined.
  • I have no character suggestions for him atm.

@Camilla - Grace Monroe
  • I think Extrovert Characterization would work for her given that the House is about their interactions with other people.
  • Out of all the Cartoon Network deities, Sector V of the Kids Next Door would distrust her the most, given that their objective is to protect kids everywhere and one of their reoccurring foes are unruly teenagers. Even if she had a heel-face turn, would take a lot for her to even be on neutral terms with them. The one who would distrust her the least is Steven Universe given his kindheartness and his pension for redeeming villains much more crueler than her.
  • I think Cedric's wand is a nice symbol for him.
