Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Dr. Kyojou Niide, God of Determined Doctors (Akahige/Red Beard)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/redbeardniide.jpg
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: The kanji for "medicine"
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Determined Doctor, Jerk with a Heart of Gold, Minored In Ass Kicking, Good Old Fisticuffs, nicknamed after his beard (but is not a pirate), Medical Drama
  • Domains: Medicine, Poverty
  • Heralds: Dr. Noboru Yasumoto, Otoyo and the other workers at his clinic
  • Allies: General Rokurota, Princess Yuki, Tahei and Matashichi, The Seven Samurai, Sanjuro, Black Jack, Derek Stiles and Angie Thompson
  • Enemies: Nurgle, Thrax
  • In the 19th century, Dr. Kyojou Niide runs a clinic in a rural part of Japan, where he and his team of doctors and nurses administer aid to impoverished peasants for free. One day, a medical school graduate, Noboru Yasumoto, arrived at the clinic for training; at first he disdained the austere conditions and low-class clientele, and aspired to a comfortable position within the shogunate. However, after listening to the patients' stories and bearing witness to cruelty, Yasumoto began to take his job seriously and look up to the gruff but compassionate Niide, accepting his mentorship. Despite Niide warning Yasumoto that the lifestyle of a country doctor was harsh, unglamorous and unprofitable, in the end Yasumoto decided to remain at the clinic and work under Niide, who's probably happier about it than he cares to admit.
  • Niide received a visit from a mysterious group of four consisting of one girl and three men. The girl explained there was a grave situation going on where she came from, in which a group of samurai was fighting alongside a poor village against raiders. The peasants were suffering terribly and were in need of medical aid, so the quartet thought they'd come to ask Niide. They all bowed deeply to show how important this was to them (though two of the men were rather distracted and had to be smacked into it by the third). Niide, though stoic as ever, couldn't very well ignore such an emergency and accepted to come with them, bringing Yasumoto and Otoyo along to assist. This was how Niide first entered the Pantheon, which isn't something he'd ever have expected, but he focused on what was asked of him and worried about the nature of the place later. When that was done, he was offered a position in the Pantheon, which he accepted after much consideration and making sure it would not get in the way of his work in the clinic. It probably also helped that Yasumoto and Otoyo were highly in favor of him taking it, arguing it might lead to new discoveries that would benefit their work.
  • The quartet that first invited Niide into the Pantheon shortly revealed themselves as the Princess Yuki of the Akizuki clan, while the three men, General Rokurota, Tahei and Matashichi, were her retinue. Niide had pretty much figured out that it was something along those lines early on. His sympathy for peasants and their difficult lives leads to him not having much to spare for aristocrats, as he finds their health problems are often a result of excess leisure, when they're not imaginary. He accordingly charges money on a sliding scale, where peasants pay basically nothing and aristocrats have to give out considerable amounts. Amounts that Niide also saw fitting to charge Princess Yuki for the services she requested; she had no problem with that. This was much to her credit in Niide's opinion, as was her humility and concern for peasant lives, so uncommon for a princess. Niide thus has Yuki in special consideration as far as aristocrats go, especially after she promised him the Akizuki clan would provide funds and protection for his clinic as long as he operated in the Pantheon.
    • Niide's relationship with Rokurota is likewise one of deep respect, with Rokurota acknowledging his strength in combat, even if it's not something Niide particularly prizes in himself as a doctor. On the other hand, there's Tahei and Matashichi, who may have become part of the Akizuki household through ascension, but their background as bandits really shows sometimes; there were occasions when they came to Niide complaining of some made-up malady or another as a ploy to get away from Rokurota working them to the bone. However, this stopped when they witnessed Niide in action and realized he could break bones as well as he mended them, so maybe they shouldn't get him mad. Niide doesn't have much patience for them, but would still help them in the event that something serious happened to them.
  • Also met with the Seven Samurai almost as soon he first set foot in the Pantheon, since they were the samurai group helping the poor village against raiders. It can be relied that Niide doesn't think highly of samurai any more than he does of aristocrats, given the violence and death they are responsible for spreading, often for no reason besides their wounded pride. The seven, however, are pretty different in that they chose to help poor villagers out of compassion, knowing the pay would be very meager, which is pretty much the philosophy by which Niide runs his clinic. The seven also benefited from learning something about the difficulty of peasant life in the process, knowledge that Niide thinks is essential in making general attitudes towards money and the value of human life change. On a lighter note, whenever the seven samurai come to his clinic, Niide actually appreciates Kikuchiyo clowning around, since laughter is good for the patients (though Niide himself is always stonefaced around his antics).

Hey, little new here. I was wondering if there’s a good for the Fedora of Asskicking trope? Cause I think Dick Tracy’s a good bet for that one.

[up][up] Fedora of Asskicking isn't taken. If you want that character to take the trope, first explain in detail (a paragraph will suffice) why he fits the trope. Once you get at least 1 [tup] without any dissenting opinion, you can then work on his profile.

Understood. Well, here goes.

Dick Tracy is a comic strip character and the star of one of the most long running, in syndication since 1931. Notably, one feature of the strip, the two-way wrist radio, inspired the mobile phone’s creation.

However, one of the most recognizable traits of the character is his fedora. In almost every adaptation he’s had it some form or another, even if he lacks his yellow trench coat to go with it. It’s an instantly recognized part of his attire. Not only that, but he’s a ruthless crime fighter who’s tangled with all manner of villains and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty in the fight against crime.

Given he predates many other fedora-wearing badasses to the point he could be considered a Trope Codifier, I’d say Tracy fits best as the demigod for Fedora of Asskicking.

Also, I think a few members of his very diverse rogues gallery are worth looking into. For instance, The Brow is perfect for Forehead of Doom, on account of his... well, oversized forehead and being a Nazi war criminal.

He never sleeps. He says he will never die.

  • In 2028, dog flu has spread throughout the Japanese city of Megasaki, resulting in all dogs being banished to Trash Island. An orphan by the name of Atari goes to the island some time following the decree in order to look for his dog Spots, who once served as a bodyguard for him before being taken away. He then encounters a tribe of dogs led by Chief, who help him look for Spots, who is later revealed to be Chief’s long-lost older brother. As it turns out, the dog flu was made by Mayor Kobayashi, Atari’s uncle, as part of a plan to wipe out dogs entirely similar to what the mayor’s ancestors attempted to do 1000 years prior. With the help of foreign exchange student Tracy Walker, Atari and the dogs show that the cure for dog flu works and after a haiku performed by Atari, the Mayor rescinds his plan for dog extermination, but not before the Mayor’s right-hand man Major Domo attempted to forcefully follow through on the plans unsuccessfully. After a medical operation to save Atari and Spots’ lives, dogs have been reintegrated to society, Mayor Kobayashi and his associates get arrested for political corruption, and Atari (who is now mayor of Megasaki) and Tracy are a couple, with Chief and Nutmeg (one of the former dogs from Trash Island) serving as their bodyguard dogs.
  • Duke told his canine friends a rumor he heard about a far-off place that contained many individuals far different from anyone from Megasaki. A couple days later, Atari received a letter from someone claiming to be from a “Pantheon” that wanted to meet with him and the dog tribe he befriended to discuss something. The time came for the meeting between Atari and the letter’s sender, with Chief and the rest of the dog tribe present as well. The meeting eventually wrapped up, with Megasaki and its inhabitants being designated as part of the Pantheon. The dogs had a brief discussion about what transpired, with the rumor Duke heard about being true, though they didn’t really expect to get involved with a place much bigger than anything they could have imagined and dealing with life outside of Megasaki. Even with how different things are going to be for Atari and the dogs, they’re still looking to move forward with their home being part of a much larger world.
  • One dog that was able to help Atari and his canine companions get accustomed to the Pantheon was Isabelle and the fact that she was a dog standing on two legs wasn’t lost on Chief and the dog tribe. Setting aside that quirk and her ditzy behavior, Isabelle proved useful in getting Atari and the dogs to understand the Pantheon’s strange nature since she apparently could understand both humans and animals thanks to her experience in working with Villager when it comes to towns. What helped further was that Isabelle worked with towns that had much better management when it comes to residents in contrast to Atari’s uncle who singled out a species in an attempt to get rid of them. As a young mayor himself, Atari has received plenty of advice from Isabelle in regards to maintaining Megasaki while she has had plenty of conversations with the dog tribe after her regular business talks with Atari.
  • As Atari and co. would find out while venturing outside of Megasaki, the Pantheon had plenty of elements far beyond what they were used to. They would end up in an unusual town that has been stated to be home of various supernatural phenomena, prompting Atari and the dog tribe to be careful while navigating the area. They eventually found a house and learned it was home to Courage the Cowardly Dog and his owners, the Bagges. Atari and the dog tribe decided to stay for the night and while Muriel was as kind to them as she is normally, Eustace’s cantankerous attitude was another story, especially since the abuse he handed out to Courage was something Chief and the dog tribe couldn’t stand. Later that night, Courage heard something and investigated, with the dog tribe following his lead and discovered that Katz was plotting another revenge scheme. Katz broke into Courage’s house and attempted to kidnap whoever was inside, but Courage and the dog tribe (with some difficulty) were able to thwart Katz’ plan (which only furthered Katz’ hatred of dogs thanks to Chief and the others helping Courage foil the kidnapping plot). Following that trip, Courage has taken a liking to Atari and the dog tribe and the sentiment was generally shared, even though Atari’s canine companions did talk among themselves about why Eustace kept being a problem to Courage despite the latter trying to get him out of trouble at times.
  • There were a handful of other dogs who ended up stranded somewhere and embarked on a perilous journey to return to civilization that Atari and the dog tribe met with. Among such dogs were Shadow and Chance who, along with a cat named Sassy, ended up lost on two separate occasions and had to journey back home, and Bolt, a canine who had an acting career and got lost as a result of being to caught up on his job and while heading back to reunite with his owner, learned to get back to reality. Both respective canines learned just how dire things were back then in Megasaki regarding the dog flu and how those responsible tried to destroy all the dogs the city abandoned as part of a power play. Even Sassy knew that, for all of her posturing about cats being better than dogs, someone who supports cats that plans to wipe out dogs entirely was horrible and she would never tolerate those kinds of beings. Those kinds of dogs were someone who Chief and the dog tribe have had regular conversations whenever they aren’t busy helping Atari with his duties as mayor.
  • Dog owners (or just people who liked dogs in general) were a fairly common sight in the Pantheon and Atari and his canine friends were able to get acquainted with a good number of them. There were a few denizens in the Pantheon that had to deal with a tragedy related to their dog that Atari and co. found to be much more severe on a personal level than what they were used to. Travis Coates ended up having to shoot his faithful dog Old Yeller when the latter contracted rabies and John Wick was an assassin who attempted to retire from the profession, but the murder of a dog his deceased wife left behind forced him back into action. While it was mitigated a bit by the fact that Travis adopted Old Yeller’s puppy son and John adopted a separate dog during his adventures, hearing about having to put down a dog and losing a personal gift from a loved one respectively hit Atari and the dog tribe rather hard. As Megasaki is a city that is friendly towards dogs (especially in contrast to before Atari became mayor), Travis and John have made visits to the place in their downtime, though John ended up getting into fights with intruders that either want to take down John himself or just steal/murder dogs that inhabit Megasaki.
  • While Atari and the dog tribe expected to find some opposition to dogs during their time in the Pantheon, they ended up finding a handful of denizens who are willing to murder dogs to achieve their own goals. Cruella De Vil was one such individual who was willing to murder dogs, with her case being to create a fur coat for herself. After hearing about Megasaki, Cruella learned just how many dogs there were that could lead to the creation of multiple fur coats that could be enough to start a large fashion empire and made an attempt to get to that city to steal most, if not all, of the dogs to fulfill that dream. Atari and the dogs learned of her attempt and with the help of their friends, they were able to drive her out of Megasaki and a measure was put in place forbidding her and anyone supportive of Cruella from going near Megasaki. As with many other preventative measures enacted in the Pantheon, it hasn’t stopped Cruella and those following her goals from trying to break in the city again.
  • Hagen was a dog whose story got the attention of Atari and the rest of Megasaki. Hailing from Hungary, Hagen used to have a loving owner in Lili until a tax law pertaining to mongrels like himself was in effect, resulting in him being separated from her and after surviving the harsh settings of the city, led an uprising with the help of other imprisoned dogs that was stopped at the end by Lili playing music. Chief and the other members of the dog tribe met up with Hagen to discuss their respective endeavors and were very understanding of the pain Hagen went through, even if there were plenty of casualties in the process given how much people didn’t care about dogs. In turn, Hagen knew that the bond between Atari and the dog tribe from Trash Island was genuine in the face of a tyrannical regime that threatened to eliminate dogs from their city. While Chief and the dog tribe are a bit disappointed that Hagen can’t be with Lili full-time, they are willing to talk to him and provide support whenever possible.
  • While Hagen had a tragic story, what Rowf and Snitter went through was arguably worse as Chief and the dog tribe would learn when meeting the duo. Rowf and Snitter were originally subjected to animal tests and after escaping, went on the run and had to survive various terrible ordeals. Rowf doesn’t think fondly of humans due to his past and learning about a dog extermination plot had the potential to worsen that aspect of himself, though Chief said the plot was foiled in part of Atari’s haiku about dogs and dogs were welcome back on Megasaki after Atari became mayor. Chief mentioned that he used to be gruff before Atari’s kindness helped him improve his personality substantially and while Chief’s story is not likely going to change how Rowf perceives humans, Chief and the dog tribe told Rowf and Snitter that surviving goes a long way to making things better for themselves. Both parties have maintained a good friendship with each other, with Snitter having some sort of hope that he and Rowf will find someone as kind-hearted as Atari in their travels.
  • Given the number of dog-lovers present in the Pantheon, it didn’t come as much of a surprise for Atari and the dog tribe to learn of the various other dogs that inhabit that world, often of varying natures. They learned of a kennel inhabited by puppies that are referred to as Nintendogs, with Atari and the dog tribe enjoying the time spent there playing with the puppies and the dog tribe developing a protective instinct towards the Nintendogs to keep them safe from anyone that endangers the puppies. Atari and his canine companions would learn of a handful of strays, notably Buck who survived in the wild following the death of his master John Thornton. Having learned to survive without their owners even though they eventually reunited with them, the dog tribe can understand what Buck has gone through and has learned some survival skills with him whenever things get bad enough and the dog tribe is separated from Atari by antagonistic forces.
  • As mayor of Megasaki following his uncle’s arrest, Atari has gotten himself involved in the more complicated politics of the Pantheon when it comes to his home. While there were some who were understanding of his plight, there were plenty of corrupt politicians that Atari opted to avoid since they could end up causing more trouble for Megasaki than what his uncle ever did prior. There are also some mayors who happened to be incompetent, but not fully despicable, such as The Mayor of Townsville, that ended up being more of a burden given their character. Regardless of the varied politics and capabilities Atari learned regarding Pantheonic politicians, he knows who to talk to and who to keep his distance from when the city of Megasaki gets involved in something significant.

  • Rivals: I-No, Margret Moonlight, Kimmy Howell.
  • During the year 2003 in a world that will be put on the verge of extinction after the fall of a red dragon from the sky, the white snow beginning to fall in the summer of 2053, and the rise of a terrible red-eyed legion plaguing all of Tokyo. With this came a deadly disease is known as White Chlorination Syndrome, which over time transformed a human into salt or Legion. It was an incurable outbreak and with the fall of Jericho humanity's survival looked bleak. So, the plan of Project Gestalt was set in motion. While the groundwork was set by the remaining humans, the idea of seeing the project into completion was put in the hands of two red-haired twins known as Devola and Popola.
  • Obeying their programming, the duo oversaw countless Replicants and Gestalts during the aftermath of the Legion attacks hoping the souls of humans would drift into their assigned shells with no problems. Yet, the very first successful replicant and his ill sister/daughter created a domino effect that would lead to the hollow shells developing their own personalities, and the "shades" becoming mindless beasts without their human forms. With this problem leading to Replicants becoming sentient, the twins decided to lay their hopes on the "Shadowlord" and Nier to finish the project and save humanity. Sadly, a tragic series of events would lead to Nier denying his fate, and due to their personal feelings slaughtering Devola. Popola now enraged saught to kill Nier and his friends only to end up dying in a huge explosion with Emil.
  • Several decades in the future, the failed human restoration plan left the Devola and Popola models being used as scapegoats to blame and shame for what remained of all life on Earth. Being forced to accept the guilt of their previous selves, the new set of androids merely serve as medical support for the resistance fighting against the alien machines ravaging the planet. Now, the duo only wants to gain some kind of atonement for not only failing humanity but themselves as keeping making safe was their only reason to exist...
  • Devola and Popola are not only talented singers as a duet, but they also become powerful magic users displayed when they had to battle Nier, Kaine, and Emil using all sorts of Sealed Verses granted to the various Grimoires from Noir to Weiss. Naturally, the same powers Nier had were an example of how the replicant felt used by the twin androids when he confronted him in the Pantheon. They knew that he was still resentful of them considering those replicants are mere shells in a game to revive humanity.
    • Grimore Weiss felt the same as his companions about the twins using them and their lying methods, but considering the outcome for everyone involved both the book and Nier couldn't hold it against the androids. They did look after Yonah and were like family to them. Without a world filled with the Black Scrawl or shade replicant fighting perhaps it was finally time to stop...
  • While quite to forgive and accept Nier and Weiss as possible friends again, the same couldn't be said for the former prince and mighty draconian pact partner. While they also had their own apocalyptic threat to fight off in the form of The Watchers, a foreign particle called maso would create magic while along with it came White Chlorination Syndrome that resulted in the eventual end of humankind. Devola and Popola were unable to simply let go of the fact Caim and Angelus unintentionally killed off the world as they knew it. Not that Caim gave a damn ready to cut down or let his partner burn the androids to ash if they ever stepped foot in his domain.
    • Then, another individual made it clear they also had a hand in the events that led to mankind's downfall though not on purpose. That girl was only known to everyone as Zero. An undead corpse whose flower managed to succeed in its overall goal through a bizarre Butterfly Effect since Zero existed in another world. She just wanted to get even with the shitheads and intoners in her world and did not want to make things even more fucked up for the people from Devola and Popola's version of Earth.
  • As for the remnants of Project YoRHA, each of the fellow androids gave the singing twins a more friendly welcome. 9S, in particular, was grateful for their help in trying to break into the tower of the Red Girls. Considering how the rest of the artificial humans treated them both this made them hug the scanner model in pure happiness for being accepted and welcome despite their flawed programming.
  • 2B and A2 were also forgiving of Devola and Popopla for what happened during the incident with the Shadowlord and Nier since it was a very dire situation with very little chance of it actually going in a positive way due to a lack of communication from all parties involved. 2B knew from past experience how without understanding or empathizing with others could lead to pointless violence and suffering. A2 wished Kaine would hurry up and come so they could all get depressed and drunk together in some bar with other gods not that Popola was fond of beer in general.
  • As the duo were obsessed with protecting humanity for over 1000 years various hostile machines made enemies of the androids including Ultron, Sigma, and Venjix just to name a few. Ultron was also interested in the "Black Scrawl" and alien lifeforms from Nier's world as they could prove useful in making stronger drones for the machine alliance much to Devola and Popla's horror.
  • The other person in the Pantheon named Zero was also a figure of unknown possibilities for the twins due to his actions being rather morally grey as well. While his actions did result in a better world for reploids and humans, the number of lives taken by his hand much like someone else the twins knew who was very protective of people important to him.
  • One day while singing a tone for children deities a crimson-haired schoolgirl quickly walked up to both Devola and Popola while calling them "Kasumi" to their shock. The phantom thief had been traumatized by her later sister's death and couldn't really get over it, so in order to help Takuto Maruki offered a form of therapy by making her sister's image appear on the twins. Neither appreciated being used by the doctor just to inspire happiness for one person, but in a funny way, the girl reminded them so much of Nier's precious daughter/sister. Devola and Popola couldn't deny feeling something akin to a real human emotion when Sumire hugged them both so tightly.
  • Despite being non-human Wanda had been impressed by the magical abilities Devola and Popola utilized together. She figures their powers combined to allow them such strength, and if one of them were not around the other wouldn't function well. Sadly, the statement only came from trauma as in one reality she had lost her only family thanks to Ultron and was quick to empathize with the twins on their own past excperience.
  • The observers were frighted by the sight of black blobs of living darkness roaming through their house one day under the power of a demon witch seeking to find out more about "shades" and if they could be made into useful servants. Luckily for Devola and Popola, a bright light shined in front of them revealing the keybearer who took down the heartless in one blow. Unaware the twins weren't exactly helpless, the hero of the Keyblade was happy to potentially make new friends in these two girls.
  • They often get challenged into singing matches by various performing deities in the Pantheon. Courtney Gears and Kimmy Love thought they needed new material like rap or pop, and Margret and I-No felt they needed more edge in their voices and different instruments like a guitar or even changing their wardrobe to look more seductive. Alison Blaire, the disco era hero Dazzler loved hearing their own song and got to play a few songs with them including her own cover of This Silence is Mine and Ashen of Dreams, which brought tears to several gods upon hearing such a harrowing sorrowful song about life's end.
  • "Now I know why the two of us were born together. For beings without souls... living alone... that would just be too sad..."

[up] Ah, yes, I suppose you aren’t as familiar with Blood Meridian as I am. Judge Holden is strange in that while he seems human, there’s just something a little off about him. He’s incredibly intelligent, very pale but doesn’t get sunburned, hairless from head to toe, displays a near preternatural knowledge of just about anything and everything, he seems to be able to teleport, maybe, and oh yeah, he doesn’t even age. Not to mention when he puts forth their most be some force controlling men’s fates, he remarks, “I know him well,” and responds to being called nothing with “you speak truer than you know.”

I could go on but that’d also get into some of his more... unpleasant activities.

He never sleeps. He says he will never die.

Alright, let’s try this again.

Ririka Moriya, Goddess of Pink Heroines (Nurse Angel)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image0_80.jpeg
  • Rank: Intermediate Goddess (bordering on Greater if she gets emotional enough)
  • Symbol: Her Nurse Cap
  • Theme Song "When In Love, It's So Easy To Be Hurt"
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: All-Loving Hero, Action Girl, Beware the Nice Ones, Plucky Girl, Stock Shoujo Heroine, Messianic Archetype, uses holy magic, wears a Scarf of Asskicking, has Emotional Powers, comes from a Magical Girl Genre Deconstruction
  • Domains: Nurses, Magic, Vaccines, Struggles
  • Heralds: Seiya Uzaki, Kanon, Dewey
  • High Priest: Minky Momo
  • Followers: Atomic Betty
  • Allies: The Rest of the Magical Girl Sisterhood (but especially Madoka Kaname and the Hero Club), Chacha, Captain Planet, The Planeteers, Snow White
  • Enemies: Goyhan, Joker, The Lich, Hexxus
  • On her tenth birthday, Ririka Moriya was given a magical nurse cap that allowed her to transform into the magical warrior known as Nurse Angel. The Earth was under siege by a race of evil aliens known as Dark Joker, so Ririka was tasked with combatting them. As her fight continued, however, her life and battles became harder and harder, and her mentor Kanon was killed at one point, though he eventually came back to life. Even after defeating the leader of Dark Joker, Buros, her troubles grew worse and worse, and this culminated with a sacrifice on her eleventh birthday to purge the world of Dark Joker’s Black Vaccine. Ririka survived, amazingly enough, but was left abandoned with no indication anyone would remember her.
  • The Sisterhood was examining Uncontacted worlds one day when they saw Ririka lying, abandoned and alone, in a field of flowers. They sent Chacha and her friends to speak with Ririka, and she explained her plight before remembering that she had seen Chacha on her world once before. Chacha quickly informed Ririka that they would locate her closest friends and bring them to the Pantheon, and this was done, with her neighbor, Seiya, a reformed member of Dark Joker, Dewey, and the revived Kanon, being those who came with her.
    • From there, Ririka was formally inducted into the Sisterhood, learning that though her tale was dark indeed, it was not as dark as the tales of the Puella Magi and the Hero Club, leading to a bond between these factions of the Sisterhood. The Sisterhood also granted her an endless supply of Green Vaccine, allowing her to never run out of magic at any time.
    • There was also Snow White, a frequent aide of the Sisterhood, who was forced into a Deadly Game with other magical girls for her very survival and simply for the amusement of the people. Ririka felt utterly enraged that the powers of magic would be used for deathmatches and vowed to help her take down any more systems of magical girl killing games.
  • The cruelty of Dark Joker with it’s schemes caused Ririka to naturally despise the two ascended Pretty Cure villains, Gohyan and Joker, and thus she often helps fight off their Uzainas and Akanbes whenever they attack a part of the Pantheon. The two are none too pleased as well, as they both know that having another magical girl to fight makes their jobs even harder. Still, their subordinates don’t really care, and Kintolesky has personally admitted that he views Ririka as one of his favorite girls to fight.
  • Because of Dark Joker's Black Vaccine, which was essentially pollution of all things good, she has often combatted the Lich and Hexxus whenever they try to pollute the Pantheon with death and decay. It helps that the Green Vaccine she was given can restore damaged land, flora, and oceans. Because of this, she often tags along with the Planeteers on missions whenever damage gets too great and the Pantheon must be healed beyond what they or Captain Planet can do.

Thanks.

I also have some... well, it’s basically one big group of candidates for another ascension, this time, from a podcast, but... their nature is hard to explain and rather complicated.

I’ll put it bluntly; The Fear Entities/Dread Powers would be perfect for Primal Fear. Each one embodies a primal fear - and they may also be manifestations of the same thing, it’s complicated. Also, there’s like fourteen, and a fifteenth was emerging but... again, it’s complicated. To put it as simply as possible, they are a group of monstrous Eldritch monsters who feed off of fear and each one embodies a primal fear of some kind, from the fear of the unknown to the fear of being watched, fear of entrapment, fear of death, fear of the dark, etc.

Any takers or... do I need to explain some more?
