Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

To reiterate just in case nobody remembers the last page.

Hmm, If I'm to rework the entire FF4 cast as Heralds of the Active Time Battle System, that would leave the following vacant:

Any future takers?

I think I would add their Cid, too. Speaking of, what should we do with the Cid in the Pantheon for Airships? I'm thinking of instead of a single person, it should be a group of folks with the same name, though only those who pertain to airships. This would probably be limited to Pollendina (4), FF2!Cid, Haze (5), Previa (6), Highwind (7), Kramer (8) (maybe), Fabool IX (9), Yuna's uncle (10), Cidolfus Demen Bunansa (12), Raines (13) (maybe), and Dimensions!Cid.

  • In video games, the best thing about them is that you can do whatever you want. Take Your Time, get Sidetracked by the Gold Saucer, level grind, and indulge in Video Game Cruelty Potential (and wait out your punishment before doing it all over again). After all, it's nothing a little Save Scumming can't fix, right? And then there are the games that threaten to take that away, too.
    • Nier himself isn't someone who enforces this, but rather is a "victim" of this, yet his end was so It Was His Sled iconic that the Court decided to ascend Nier for Deletion as Punishment. But how do you bring back someone who was Ret-Gone? Well, that's because right before the deletion, they turned that "deletion" into a "file move", thus still removing Nier and everything about him from his world as they brought his "data" into the Pantheon and reconstructed him.
    • That said, the deities at work on bringing Nier got things mixed up so that they ended up bringing in two Niers; one is a young adult, and one is middle-aged. As it was too late to rectify this issue, and because the retrieval teams technically both brought the "correct" Nier, it was decided that they both stay. After filling them in on what the Pantheon is all about.
    • As for what is to be told about their worlds; they decided to relay the following (since some might tell them anyway out of spite): Nier's actions basically doomed the entire human race in their world to extinction. "Thankfully", there were still remnants on the moon that—millennia later—would eventually direct androids—such as 2B—to reclaim the planet from machines led by aliens (hey, millennia have passed; a lot can happen in that time). Although that turned out to be a farce perpetuated by YoRHa. The lie the Court did tell though was Yonah's (and Kainé's) fate. Rather than tell them she dies anyway to the Black Scrawl in a few years, they were instead told that she lived a fulfilling life until old age eventually claimed her.
    • As for why Yonah and their friends could not be brought here, the Court says that that was the price of sacrificing their existence; the price cannot be rendered moot. Grimoire Weiss though was fair game since he did also sacrifice himself in the final battle and is being ascended soon. For now, they have to settle with simple swords (or lances).
  • Applies to either Nier:
    • Being from a world cursed with Endless Daytime, his first witnessing of night in the Pantheon left him in absolute awe, wishing that Yonah was here to see it.
    • Thanks to the knowledge of his world's past, he greatly despises Caim and Angelus because their coming to their world led to its inevitable end. Caim on the other hand wants his weapons back as some of Nier's findings were originally his.
    • While a good man who does good whenever he can, Nier's refusal to think about his actions tend to have some horrifying consequences. What he sees as monsters he refuses to see as possibly more than that. As such, he's often forced away by deities with more restraint.
      • On the plus side, though, he's willing to do even the most meager of tasks just for the sake of helping others.
    • There are those who use Nier as an example of why you need to have perspective if you wish to be a hero, citing his ignorance resulting in being seen as a Complete Monster to the Shades as he even slaughtered their "children" as a prime reason.
    • -Should I put in a Matt Hardy joke here?-
    • Somehow, he can even drift with a giant boar! It needs to be seen to be believed.
    • Thanks to a certain old man, Nier is an exceptional fisherman, able to pull out all sorts of aquatic life, including sharks and ancient fish. Now in the Pantheon, this sometimes also includes the aquatic monsters the Monster Hunters hunt.
    • Has experience with having to face a ridiculous number of projectiles, though his weapons can harmlessly block them.
    • Drowns in any water deeper than his ankles. Though he'll just lose a bit of health (unless in a safe haven) and wash up somewhere nearby for their troubles. The reason why is because he never knew how to swim, since he was forbidden from coming into contact with the precious water resources.
    • Given what happened to humanity in their worlds, Berserker!Iji is reminded all too well of her own lack of thinking that also doomed hers. The worse part is that while Nier was doing it all for the sake of Yonah (with an added racism against Shades), she had "merely" sunk too deep in her rage against the invading aliens that she lost sight of her original objective; to get the invading aliens to leave Earth/Origin. By killing General Tor, the only one willing to listen (after taking a beating), the Komato responded with a full Alpha Strike.
  • Given the very excessive measures Nier has done to rescue his sister (for Brother Nier)/daughter (for Father Nier), Yu and Ryotaro (who have similar family dynamics with Nanako, even though Yu is actually her cousin rather than her brother) are very disturbed by this and wonder what they would've done had they been in Nier's position. Would they have not cared about the human race all just to save her? In hindsight, of course they wouldn't (and would live with their consequences), but otherwise…
  • Exclusive to "Father" Nier:
    • Word of Nier eventually reached Geralt as comparisons were drawn between him and the "newcomer"; both were white-haired swordsmen who are also fathers and use magic on the side. The differences became apparent when the two finally met though in a bar; Geralt's magic is his own whereas Nier uses Grimoire Weiss, he'll hold no comment over Yonah, Nier still goes out of his way to help the common folk while Geralt has long since given up on that (though he will help if he gets roped into it or if his loved ones are in danger), and there's also the "little" issue of Nier refusing to think things through when it comes to killing monsters, like if it's completely ambivalent, or even innocent, while Geralt isn't nearly as ignorant especially since Nier's actions brought about the extinction of the human race. The last bit triggered something fierce and it resulted in a swordfight Bar Brawl. They've been bitter ever since.
  • Exclusive to "Brother" Nier:

@Nightelf, Oh, Quirky Bard could be freed? I was thinking of giving that to someone else, but in hindsight considering the fact this character really wants to avoid fighting, he may just be a Quirky Bard in name only.

Anyway, here’s my suggestion...

The Bard, Divine Bard Of Jumping At The Call

Why should they ascend: When he realized that the world was ending and that the only was to stop it was by learning and singing the Earthsong, he jumped right at the call and chance to do so, even partnering up with Mirium, who didn't expect him to take this seriously. This ended up with him conflicting with Audrey, who didn't expect him to still be going around trying to learn the Overseer songs, and even the messenger who sent him on the quest in the first place, saying she expected him to give up. Despite this, his determination shined through and he managed to save the world with his own version of the Earthsong.

Time to rise and shine. Good morning!

I think that Cecil and Kain was pretty good to be in their old portfolios. What they goddamn needed is a rework and re-tune.

Why do we need to group things up? We don't see the FF7 crews grouped. Nor is the FF8 crew.

My suggestion is to have Cecil and Kain improved. But for the moment, Rosa can go. Rydia... depends if her summon magic can be more than the memes. Though honestly, since she's spending her time proving her worth to summon beasts, born from a village of summoners, got 'trained' by a Summon Beast (Leviathan)... yeah, she could use some improvement.

If nobody minds, I will take them for improvement.

[up][up] Honestly, Quirky Bard doesn't seem too bad of a trope for him.

Are there any Hamsters in the pantheon btw? Any Translator Buddy?

Hammond, God of Ball Shaped Attacks (Wrecking Ball, Hamtaro, Rat)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hammond_9.jpg
Hammond piloting Wrecking Ball
  • Potential House: Fighting Moves
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His mech, Wrecking Ball.
  • Theme Song: Wrecking Ball Theme
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Hamster Stereotypes, Badass Adorable, Be the Ball, Death from Above, The Dividual, Grappling-Hook Pistol, Ground Pound, Killer Hamster, Lightning Bruiser, Mister Big, Pintsized Powerhouse, Rodent of Unusual Size, Rolling Attack, Spider Tank, Translator Buddy, Uplifted Animal, Walking the Earth
  • Domains: Hamsters, Mechs, Balls, Genetics, Intelligence, Roaming
  • Allies: Winston, Zenyatta, Pikachu
  • Rivals: D.Va
  • Enemies: Koba
  • What started as a number of reports about a strange metallic ball roaming and causing a ruckus around certain parts of the pantheon, it quickly made some people investigate and try to find out the culprit. When the ball was spotted once again, it revealed itself to be a robot or mech of some kind but strangely enough the mechanical being was not aggresive and called itself Wrecking Ball. It was later that a group of nearby deities were left confused when its pilot emerged, an unusually large hamster named Hammond came bursting through the robot's hatch and started laughing at the puzzled look of the crowd that was looking at him. The hamster apparently managed to convince the higher ups to give him a temple considering that him and his mech are inseparable.
  • Hammond's intelligence and appearance are all thanks to the experiments performed in the Horizon Lunar Colony. Although the main subjects were gorillas, they also experimented on other animals but the scientists weren't expecting the Hamster to make the most progress out of all the animals. Of course, Hammond is good friends with Winston who is another of Horizon's subjects and he was surprised to see his old rodent friend again, wondering how he even escaped the colony considering what happened afterwards.
  • For all his genetically advanced intelligence, Hammond can't actually speak. Thankfully, his mech has an AI that serves as his Translator Buddy.

Seth and Evan, Co-Gods of Geeks with Hot Girlfriends

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/superbad.jpg
Left: Seth, Right: Evan
  • House: Love: Other
  • [tup]s: 2 (fasoman1996, Crownless Mimic)

  • Portfolio: Heterosexual Life-Partners in an awkward stage, geeky virgins, Fat and Skinny, Sex Comedy, Unsuccessfully attempted to get laid with their crushs, but still got their respective girl, Seth's Red Oni to Evan's Blue Oni
  • Domains: Teens, Losers, Geeks, Friends
  • Herald: Seth's girlfriend, Jules, Evan's girlfriend, Becca, and their "friend", Fogell
  • High Priest: Jim Levenstein
  • Followers: Louis Scholnik, Eric Forman, Sam Weir, Doug Funnie, Kevin Smith
  • Allies: Xander Harris, J. D. and Turk, Jay and Silent Bob, Booster Gold and Blue Beetle
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Issei Hyodo (Seth)
  • Respected by: Princess Cadance
  • On good terms with: Most Harem protagonists
  • On speaking terms with: George McFly (Seth)
  • Enemies: Biff Tannen
  • Opposed by: Most cop deities
  • Uneasy Relationship: The Equestria Girls, Steve Smith
  • Finding someone to represent Give Geeks a Chance was tough, mostly because a lot of the candidates were just geeks from Hollywood's standards. Enter Seth and Evan, who are huge losers even compared to other nerds. Whether it be that they fit the criteria, or the gods just felt sorry for them, they got the trope. The two are disappointed their girlfriends won't be able to come with them, but they're happy that they can at least stay in their temple.
  • Xander Harris was jealous of them for managing to hook up with two chicks without any catch. However, Seth and Evan themselves (somewhat) envied him when they found out he got laid, something that they never succeeded with on their Quest for Sex. After some time, the jealousy turned into respect and they now hang with each other.
  • Steve Smith tried hanging out with them so he can learn how to get a hot girl (and lose his virginity in the process), but when he entered their temple, he made the mistake of flirting with their girlfriends. When Seth and Evan saw this, they immediately kicked him out with them making Steve Persona Non Grata.
  • Best buds since childhood, Seth and Evan take friendship to the extreme. Before they split off with their respective girlfriends, they did nearly anything for each other; Seth was usually seen with Evan and vice-versa. In fact, pre-ascension, they were J.D. and Turk's followers. It lead to them being friends with Jay and Silent Bob, who not only are also Heterosexual Life-Partners, but have alike personalities, with Jay being a huge pervert and Silent Bob being the sane guy.
    • Ever since the two admitted their brotherly love for each other, some people kept believing they love each other in a different way. Seth and Evan aren't happy about that (the mistaken part, not the homosexuality), though it did lead to them becoming allies with Booster Gold and Blue Beetle, who are also speculated to be gay.
  • Their last names are unknown, but for some reason, a few deities think it's Rogen and Goldberg.
  • Kyu Sugardust offered Seth and Evan her magic so they can become chick magnets. While Seth was tempted, Evan convinced him to decline out of fear of losing his girlfriend. After that event, they gained the respect of Princess Cadance, of all deities. Despite what they tried to do (and their looks), she uses them as proof that no matter who you are, you can always find love. For the sake of avoiding her, Kyu stayed away from the two ever since.
  • Unsurprisingly, some cops in the Pantheon have attempted to arrest them for underage drinking. Fortunately for Seth and Evan, the only one that keeps trying is Chief Wiggum, who's usually outwitted by them.
Chief Wiggum: "Okay boys, you're going from boozehound to jailbird for a few years"
Evan: "Wait, you're going to put us in prison for years just because we drank?"
Wiggum: "Hmm, now that I think about it- Hey! Damn it, Come back here!"
  • High school was tough for Seth and Evan, so they sure don't understand how The Equestria Girls have so much fun there. The girls tried to cheer them up by telling them about the amazing stories they had, but with no luck.
  • The two were envious of most Harem protagonists, as they easily get plenty of girls, and they went on a crazy night just to hook up with their crushes. (which didn't work out, but they did get together at the mall) However, Seth and Evan realized that they did much harder accomplishments anything they did. (One such protagonist, Shido Itsuka, had to have love interests in order to save the world) The two are now fine with them after that revelation.
    • For what its worth, Seth befriended a Harem hero, Issei Hyodo, for being a fellow teenage pervert, and he loves it when he uses Dress Break for, well, various purposes. While Issei is a little off with him since he can be intolerable at times, he does know that deep-down, he's a decent guy.
  • Biff Tannen was "glad" to see them, mostly so he can beat them up for the losers they are and steal their girlfriends, and he almost did just that had George McFly not get into his way. With that said, George doesn't approve of Seth's attempt at date raping Jules, though he knows that there are much worse people then him who'd done something similar and keeps trying to teach him how to treat women respectfully.
  • Ron Stoppable met the two after the trope he was partially responsible for naming was taken by someone, with mixed results. He finds Seth a bit too disgusting for his own good, but felt that Evan was pretty cool. They both hang out when Seth's doing something else.
  • Ayame Kajou really loves Seth's perverted nature and often sees him as the Good Counterpart to Eric Cartman. Though, she was a little disappointed that he already has a girlfriend. They both agreed to keep their friendship platonic.
  • Evan enjoys hanging out with Scott Pilgrim. While most deities think it's because they look similar, the real reason is that they're both awkward losers who managed to find love, though Evan was very surprised with how far Scott went for Ramona. And he thought his journey for hooking up with Becca was crazy.

Hello! What I want to talk about here is relevant to the pantheon, but none of the discussion threads I know of would be a good place for discussing this, so I just went with one that I'm pretty sure is the most often-used.

Okay, so a long time ago, I talked about making a fighting game with the combat-capable deities in the pantheon. It would control like One Piece: Grand Battle Rush, but would visually look like a cross between Sonic Battle and the Project X Zone games.

Anyone interested in hearing what the controls of the game would be?

Any more [tup]s for Fairy Leviathan?

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/leviathan_4.png
  • Theme: Cool Water
  • [tup]s:1
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Symbol: Her halberd, or Biometal L
  • Alignment: Neutral Good, formerly Lawful Neutral
  • Portfolio: Defeat Means Respect, The Nicknamer
  • Domains: Respect, Water, Ice, Oceans, Ice Shelves, Halberds
  • High Priestess: Trauare Wrede
  • Heralds
  • Superior: X (robotic "father"/master)
  • Allies:
  • Friendly Rival: Zero
  • Rivals: Leviathan the Tidehunter, Nu-13
  • Enemies: Copy X (former leader), Dr. Weil, Omega, Elpizo, Sigma, Lumine, Wo-Class, Merged Zamasu, Airy, Lord Ouroboros
  • Opposes: Dr. Wily, Repliforce (especially Iris)
  • Is extremely uncomfortable around Alexstrasza, Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider, Shana, Zuko, Roy Mustang, and Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion (despite being Not So Different) for obvious reasons.
  • The last of Neo Arcadia's Four Guardians to ascend to the Pantheon, Leviathan has been staying in her brother Harpuia's temple as a herald for some time while his petition for her entry was mysteriously backlogged. Fittingly, her trope of ascension is a hallmark seen in all four of the Guardians through their original battles with Zero; respect for brave warriors who best them in battle. What makes her case even more special is the warrior's crush she's harbored towards the crimson android as well for his relentless determination.
  • In life she commanded Neo Arcadia's Meikai Army, otherwise known as the Deep Sea Squadron or the Dark Ocean Corps. Members of this squadron can be seen as heralds in her temple, at least the ones she approves of; a boy who used her stolen biometal in the future as part of the Game of Destiny found his way into her temple through some immortal Reploid data, and they don't like him very much.
    • On a related note, both being quite territorial underwater fighters, she and Wo-Class do not get along in the least.
  • While she was his herald, Harpuia kept her up to speed on the developments surrounding his alliance with Epsilon and the formation of their new robot group. She liked the idea because it meant they'd be part of something that would help Zero, and Harpuia had made sure they weren't being manipulated like before with Weil and Copy X. 9S, a recent addition to that group, hacked into the Court of the Gods' case files to push Leviathan's petition forward, allowing her to finally take her place alongside both the Four Guardians and Liberion Arcadia.
    • Despite this, she finds it odd working alongside Ciel now, given the doctor's connection with Zero in addition to being the leader of the Resistance she used to fight against.
  • Has a fondness for nicknames, calling Harpuia and Fefnir "the pretty boy" and "the combat nerd" respectively. She also calls 9S "the hacker kid" (despite also being a hacker herself, which the two have somewhat bonded over) and 2B "the katana girl".
  • Between Operation Righteous Strike and destroying X's body to release the Dark Elf, she and the other Guardians don't need any tainted orders to consider Elpizo a Maverick, even if he's trying to atone for his deeds now.
  • A sea monster called Leviathan the Tidehunter was ascended before she was, as she learned when Harpuia did his research instead of rushing to greet the being thinking it was her. When the Fairy finally met the Tidehunter, things were not pretty. He immediately tried to attack her with his Gush, amplified into a tidal wave by Aghanim's Scepter. Instead of it slowing her down, though, she used his wave to temporarily submerge the two in water, swimming quickly to spear him with her ice halberd. Then he summoned the tentacles of his god to ravage her from below, and she summoned ice dragons to help her narrowly escape. They've been on bad terms ever since.
  • The RKS ladies Tia and Freudia thought she looked like a friend of theirs when they first saw her. She got "hacker boy" to do some research and discovered Trauare to be similar to her in a lot of ways, including the Defeat Means Respect trope, and even carrying an ice halberd named after her. As such, Trau became her High Priestess, and she's allowed Tia and Freudia to visit Trau at her temple. She also connects somewhat with Freudia, as they share mastery of ice powers and distant personalities — though Leviathan does tend to smile a lot more often.
  • Harpuia, Lambda, and 2B have also told her about Nu-13. The Siren General finds the Calamity Trigger interesting for both her abilities and her unfettered feelings for Ragna the Bloodedge. Even so, neither's object of affection, nor Leviathan's master, would ever want the end of everything. That's a goal she can't let Nu fulfill.
  • Though part of her is grateful to Dr. Wily for creating Zero, don't expect her to give him any credit out loud. She's well aware that his intentions for Zero were far from noble, and his experiments were responsible for the original Maverick Virus. She's much better about Dr. Light, the original creator of all the advanced androids, as well as Rock and Blues, who she considers the predecessors of X and Zero, as despite being created by Wily instead of Light, Zero shares connections to both scientists much like Proto Man does.
  • Heavily dislikes Zamasu and Airy. Their goals are to eradicate humanity, the former in the name of "justice" while he himself is partially immortal, and the latter disguised under cuteness in the service of a master called Ouroboros. These things remind her too much of both the boy in her temple who used her Biometal seeking the same goal in the ZX era and the master who stole her and gave her to Thetis in the first place.
    • On that note, she's grateful to Vent, Aile, Grey, and the yet-to-ascend Ashe for stopping the ones who wanted to use her and her brothers' powers for evil.
  • Hates Iris for breaking Zero's heart by going Maverick, and as such cannot support Repliforce. Anytime Epsilon meets with them in her presence, she will make a fuss about it. She also refuses to hear about how Repliforce were manipulated and Iris only attacked Zero out of distress for Colonel.
  • She's confirmed that yes, she and her brothers used to wear longcoat vests when they worked with the original X.
  • In addition to her rebirth as Biometal Model L, the ZX era also contains at least one doll of her.

  • Opposed by: Alan Wake, The Simpsons, Carrie White
  • Uneasy Relationship: Johnny Cage
  • Special Relationship: Stephen King
  • It has been noted that lesser deities should avoid the Overlook Hotel at all costs. There has been multiple stories of how tenants have gone mad from the isolation before killing each other. This is especially compounded during the winter when access is limited. Often times, people arrive in the spring to see everyone dead. It is with a heavy heart that the infamous hotel has appeared in the Pantheon, and with it its most notorious guest: Jack Torrance.
    • Jack is a writer who was hoping to find peace within the walls of the hotel. Instead, the quiet only isolated him from his family. In a last bit of madness, he sought to kill his own family to be alone, hence the infamous door busting scene. While most people believe he used an axe, the novel depicted him using a roque mallet instead. Either way, subsequent madmen have busted open doors, walls and other places in his honor.
  • Most writers in the Pantheon are delighted whenever they see one of their works ascend. Stephen King had a more mixed reaction regarding Jack Torrance. While he was the architect behind the book, he was not a fan of the movie. This is due to how the movie version was not how he envisioned both in looks and in tone. This was contributed to the directing style of Stanley Kubrick, who also happens to reside in the Pantheon. The movie director was much more happy to see the protagonist of his most acclaimed movie ascend. This has further strained relations between the two writers.
    • Of course that hasn't stopped any of his creations from taking a liking to him. The most prominent of course is Randall Flagg, who found the entire situation hilarious. While people speculate he played a part in Jack Torrance's demise, the Man in Black has stayed coy on his involvement. Instead, he hopes to recruit the writer on his plan of turning the entire Pantheon to a Walking Wasteland. This also puts Jack in opposition of the Gunslinger. Roland has made it clear he would put a bullet into Jack's face should the two meet.
    • He likes that Annie Wilkes doesn't think he did anything wrong in that scenario. With that said, even he is wary of keeping her within his temple for long periods of time. There's no telling if she would do to him the same thing she did to Paul Sheldon.
    • Carrie does not get along with him, even less since it's implied he is sometimes an Abusive Parent.
  • Outright refuses to believe that he is in need of therapy despite Dr. Crane's pleas. Nowadays Fraiser can't approach Jack without being forced to run away from axe swings. Dr. Bumby has had more success simply by calling him a friend. Of course he has more sinister goals in mind, mainly to use Jack's occasional mania to good use.
  • The Radiant Hero Axe felt a bit intimidated by his presence. Not out of fear of battle, as Axe could demolish Jack Torrance with easy, but with influence. The writer is far more likely to be known for his axe-wielding skills. His position is safe since Jack isn't always known for using an axe.
  • Alan Wake was quick to inform the public that Jack Torrance's actions does not reflect those of the vast majority of his flock in any way. Wake knew he had to distance himself as Jack is among the more prominent fictional writers who have ascended.
  • It has been rumored that Johnny Cage also snagged a role for Jack Torrance based on one of his fatalities. Cage stated that the homage did not reflect on a positive opinion on the character. Stephen King considered Cage as still a better fit than Jack Nicholson.
  • The Simpsons peered into one particular future in the Treehouse of Horror and immediately recognized one of the scenarios as that of Jack Nicholson. Though they put the blame firmly on Mr. Burns for that mishap, they want no business in dealing with the family.
  • Unlike most, Shawn Spencer was actually happy to be face-to-face with the hotel that one of their adventures was based on. In fact, he wanted to figure out whether the hotel was truly haunted or not. Gus wisely steered Shawn away from such a dangerous plan.
  • To the Joker, Jack Torrance is confirmation to a belief he has held for years: that it only takes one bad situation to drive any man insane. While Jack was unsuccessful in killing his family, the Clown Prince of Crime thinks he still has potential. Namely, he taught the writer how to make better use of his weapons to go about more killing sprees.
