Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules 
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips 
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System 
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates 
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.

  • The ascended Spore Player Race identifies as a Knight(one of two player-exclusive archetypes), and the Grox have an unnamed and inaccessible archetype. The Wanderer Archetype isn't present in the pantheon as there isn't a second Spore Player Race, though some neutral-aligned gods like Kino are considered Wanderers. Different empires and their archetypes reacted differently to groups in the pantheon. The Diplomat Empires were the ones who suggested opening up to the Trope Pantheon in the first place.
  • Azmuth has been visiting the Spore Galaxy in order to get more DNA data for the Omnitrix. To his and the Genetic Engineering sub-house's relief, evolutionary data can be found by digging up certain fossils on the T3 planets that have yet to develop a fully sentient species.

Could I please know if I could and should work on these adoptables?

  • Cloyster, Goddess of Bivalves (House of Aquatic Life)-I adopted this from Ferot Dreadnaught and given what Crimson Shark said, I thought I should get permission again. Cloyster is the Bivalve Pokemon and a massive one. It used to be the only line with the Clamp line, which it used to clamp down on its opponents. In the lore a Shellder clamping on a Slowpoke causes the evolution of this line.
  • Vikavolt, God of Dual-Pronged Beam Weapons: I adopted this from TPPR. Reasoning for it is that Vikavolt is a Thunder Beetle who's mandibles are living tuning forks that it uses to launch electric attacks. I would like to know if this is a good idea or if the trope should go to the wielder of a weapon like it.

  • In the greater Omniverse live the Super-Celestials, beings meant to start multiverses and give themselves to them in order to forever sustain them. However the most feared of them, Perpetua, sought to sustain herself forever with her creation of the proto-DC Multiverse. Her sons would maintain the positive matter, antimatter and dark matter aspects of her creation, while she sought to turn the multiverse into a weapon. Ultimately her sons ratted her out, resulting in the Source sending a messenger to imprison her in the Source Wall, which'd guard the multiverse from the energies beyond. However the breaking of the Source Wall has released the Mother of the Multiverse, and she plans to weaponize her creation against her brothers and sisters, and escape the judgement of the Source.
  • Her ascension sent waves of fear through the Celestials; they aren't the same Celestials Perpetua is a part of, but they know the reputation she has among them. The Mother of the Multiverse soon took notice of the House of Time and Space, and its role in the expanse of the greater omniverse. Her plans are to twist it into a weapon against the Source and all true supreme beings, to ensure she will forever exist. However Perpetua knows she's a recent player in the field and if she's going to take over the Trope Pantheon, she'll need some help.
    • Both Zamasu and the Divine Powers envision the overthrowing of the status quo and the current order to achieve their own vision of a utopia. Due to the sheer power of Perpetua, they think it's wise siding with her for now to achieve their ends. Of course, despite her promises of making perfect universes for them interactions with Luthor show she cannot be trusted as a true ally to them. Then again, the same could be said of the mad Kaioshin and the Divine Powers. And yes, they are quite aware of that
    • Kronika was willing to go along Perpetua wholeheatedly. A Titan in charge of time, yet manipulating it to her own selfish ends along with...questionable parenting skills makes her similar in personality to Perpetua. That said, while Kronika has been promised absolute domain over the MK multiverse in exchange for aiding Perpetua, she dislikes her selfish motives. The Super-Celestial doesn't think she has much room to talk.
    • Chakravartin is a creator god with malicious intentions on reality, though he frames it as otherwise. Come his defeat at the hands of Asura, he has chosen to join Perpetua in hopes of gaining his ultimate ambitions. Zanza is exciting at the idea of working with the Mother of the Multiverse as they share a selfish spirit for their universes, and Perpetua will allow him the means to forever create and reshape his reality as he sees fit.
    • The Ebon Dragon and Angra Mainyu joined as she is associated with "doom" over "justice", but more importantly to finally have the edge over their antitheses. In particular Perpetua has promised to make the Ebon Dragon a cosmic force and true being. That said, camaraderie is non-existent and both sides see the other as a means to an end. The Unconquered Sun and Ahura Mazda chided them for believing it would make any significant distance, and Perpetua asked the latter God of Good why.
    Ahura Mazda: "It is not a lack of power or scale for why you will fail; it is the nature of evil to hinder itself. This is why justice shall prevail over doom, despite all your attempts."
  • Perpetua wields the Seven Hidden Forces of Creation. They are as followed:
    • The Still Force; counter to Speed Force. Based around inertia and entropy. Despite this power being in line with many of Nekron's desires, Perpetua considers herself far above him and regards herself as more "constructive", thus isn't going to utilize the Grand United Alliance of Destruction. The worst part is that she legitimately is more dangerous and powerful than the Lord of the Unliving.
    • The Invisible Spectrum, which feeds on buried primal emotions. The only one known so far is the Ultraviolet Corps, which represent repressed shame and guilt. She has her sights set on the House of Emotion to further re-unlock this ancient power of hers, believing that the UV embodiment Umbrax can be awakened by exploiting the Regret sub-house.
    • The Tear of Extinction, which brings death to all living beings and immortals. It is driven toward isolation and solipsism and is tied to the Death Force. Even gods can die to it. And as such, the sub-house for immortals is on edge with her existence in the pantheon, and she believes sufficient amount can override the Death Is Cheap nature of the pantheon. Partnered with it is the Void Wind, which can snuff out magic and gods. Thus, she is feared by the House of Magic.
    • Other forces include the Black Apple, the Sixth Note and Faithlessness. The Black Apple represents forbidden knowledge, which she is trying to tempt members of the House of Knowledge with. The Sixth Note is an esoteric power beyond imagination itself. Then the Faithlessness, which while little is known it appears to be tied with the concept of Doom. The Nothing may be connected to either the Void Wind, Sixth Note or the Faithlessness. She feels it is a useful tool, though given what the Nothing is it isn't going to side with her.
  • Her arrival immediately got the attention of the Presence; though He takes a different form, He is still the same being as the Source Perpetua betrayed. He immediately called on her three sons to prepare and empower them so they can form the Ultra Monitor again, while making sure the Anti-Monitor is kept on a leash. Mobius is still somewhat loyal to his mother and regrets joining his brothers to rat him out as it made his roles as a Destroyer Deity obsolete, but is forced to be disloyal whenever the Presence says so. By contrast Mar Novu and Alpheus won't hesitate to fight their mother and they don't regret ratting her out.
  • Superheroes and supervillains across the DC Multiverse were on high alert come her ascension to the pantheon. Even if he's not a superhero persay, she was immediately concerned with Doctor Manhattan since it was his powers that the Batman That Laughs recreated for himself to even stand a chance against her. Likewise, she put Wonder Woman high on her hit list as when empowered by the World Forge she was the one who finally put Laughs down for good, and the Mother of the Multiverse doesn't want that kind of power up to happen again.
  • Not all DC characters oppose her, however; Barbatos was convinced to strike down his master with Perpetua's advice. Substituting the Batman Who Laughs, Perpetua wants him to replace the role and join with the Mind Flayer at her side to run her new and improved Dark Multiverse for the darkness they'll bring. And she has not just whispered to Barbatos, but her son Mobius, Parallax, Alexander Luthor Jr and Darkseid, encouraging them to act in various crises to damage the Source Wall so she may one day be free. Like Melkor it is likely a stretch to say she influenced crises beyond the scope of DC, but by most metrics she is her multiverse's Greater-Scope Villain as well. Darkseid has already been promised by Laughs a world where he won the Final Crisis and Perpetua promises to maintain that for him. She has also made a clear promise to Parallax that he may run rampant and feed off the terror of The Dark Multiverse so long as he serves her.
  • Because of her opposition to any true supreme being, she detests The Love That Moves The Stars; a truly transcendent presence that is the source of creation. As the Mother of the Multiverse perverts creation to her own selfish ends, He sees her as being little better than Dis. The Emperor of the Kingdom Dolorous has as much of a kinship as possible for an omnimalevolent being such as himself with Perpetua, who seeks to restore him to shape in order to be an important asset against her war of the true divine. To aid in the war against their creators she formed a strained alliance with the GUAD; giving them the firepower to destroy whole universes, but only if it's universes she thinks should go. The Mother of the Multiverse doesn't want to destroy everything forever, just re-shape things the way she sees fit.
  • Perpetua believes the Force is some sort of aspect or connection to the Source. As such, she desires to capture and subjugate/twist the Ones for her own purposes, boasting "I have faced mightier Celestials than you". More generally, the Mother of the Multiverse is hated and feared by the divine. Many have compared her Gnostic Demiurge, being both a malicious god and a betrayer of the cosmic order. Though significantly less powerful than her, the Father of the Homunculi fits a lot of her character traits. Perpetua has some measure of sympathy for his desire of ultimate freedom, and she recognizes that the Truth is much like the Source in many ways. As such, she is aiding Father in taking down the Truth in order to achieve her own ends with existence.
  • Perpetua's perversion of the natural order gained her many enemies even before her re-emergence. A supremely selfish creator, Gowasu regards her as the pinnacle of disorder that a god of creation can reach. Beerus agrees, and when the Mother of the Multiverse claimed he was being hypocritical, he defended this by saying he would never go so far as she did. Both Zen'o were so offended by her abuse of power(even if she argued they weren't innocents in such, they tried erasing her on the spot...only for it to not work, though she did emerge with scratches. Everyone was terrified.
    Perpetua: "Perhaps if you had proper training, I would've been in trouble. But I am feared through the greater omniverse for a reason.
  • Arceus despises Perpetua for being a traitor to her job as a creator, however she doesn't think much of the Original One. Ahura Mazda fears she might be what he would become if he breaks from the stress of his job. The Mother of the Multiverse is a serious enemy to the Pantheonic Time Police and the Protectors of the Plot Continuum as well, what with her plans to warp reality to her liking and exploitation of Crisis energy. Despite all of this antipathy towards her, there were a number of divine beings who think she's justified in her feelings. It's just that they get in the way of their desires, making her a rival.
  • Part of her goal in weaponizing the multiverse includes making hybrids of Martians and humans. There are a lot of the former to pick from, and she has decided to offer the Martian from Mars Attacks! a deal; serve as her foot soldiers and she will enhance them, becoming a powerful force in the new order. They accepted this deal. Ragyo Kiryuin has also accepted her deal for power and spreading the Life Fibre. Part of why this worked out was they have similar ideals as mothers.
  • While the various alliances consider the Forever War of the pantheon frustrating, given it seems none of them will ever have a definitive win, Perpetua takes a "glass half full" approach to it. However this is only because the resultant Crisis energy will empower her. As such, she is one of the major backers of the Hounds of War, but only until such a point where she has gained so much power from the pantheon's Crisis energies she can steamroll the other alliances and take over the Trope Pantheon itself. To keep fuelling Crisis energies she has been supporting all of the Chaos Gods, even if she doesn't care about their ideologies and neither do they. This only fuels what the Emperor of Mankind has in her mind of the Mother of the Multiverse; The absolute WORST of gods. Her "vision" of violent human-Martian hybrids is an abomination to him and he regards her in the same tier of "EXTERMINATUS AT ALL COSTS" as the Chaos Gods, YHVH, Lucifer and Melkor.
  • She has made sweet talk with Ulanaq in that her "doom" fits his vision, and he could reach even greater heights of divinity by being one of her disciples. He's considering it, since for now he's still siding with Vaatu. She has also promised Lord Drakkon and Bandos a fair bit of multiversal power as well. On a more academic level the Lich was interested in her and her place in the greater mythology of existence, as was Darth Plagueis because of her nature as a creator. Their ambitions have precluded becoming her allies, but they are still permitted to study her to an extent.
  • Perpetua wonders if Lucifer, the son of Chuck, could serve her interests. The answer was yes, if it also serves his own. What with him being a powerful and rebellious devil, he's the kind of guy who she thinks stroking his ego would lead to him aiding her. She was most amused to learn his dad was Evil All Along, as a deity who sees creation as His amusement is an attitude she agrees with, and wonders if he can use his "writing" to help her "story" of becoming truly supreme.
  • Gaining more intel onto the Dark Multiverse thanks to the Batman Who Laughs, she plans to create Dark Multiverse nightmare worlds where The Bad Guy Wins stuck in a perpetual loop with the various events in the pantheon. Well plan is more accurate; she is not to be trusted. She lied to Luthor about humanity surviving and ascending, something the Batman Who Laughs figured and eventually convinced to be her Dragon instead because of his knowledge of the Dark Multiverse. And of course he's not to be trusted, as after implanting his brain in a Bruce Wayne with Dr Manhattan's powers the "Darkest Knight" plans to overthrow her. Ultimately the Darkest Knight succeeded at killing her by pummelling her to death with the remains of the Source Wall, and now that she's been revived in the pantheon she's absolutely livid about it.

Was asking since I was thinking Sam Starfall would count, as his entire race's mythology is BASED around that (to the point where the first thing his race steals is their own life). At the very least, he'd be a follower of Prometheus, if he didn't take that sort of trope up.

  • Lemeza Kosugi is a professor of archaeology, who received a letter from his father Shorn (whom he has a competitive relationship with), who claimed he has discovered the ruins of La-Mulana, supposedly the birthplace of all civilizations and carried the secret treasure of life itself. Following his father's trail, Lemeza came to the ruins to decode its secrets himself. Upon conquering La-Mulana and obtaining its treasure, another similar site known as Eg-Lana, deep within La-Mulana, would become relevant later. He would try to go for its treasure, but ultimately it would be claimed by his daughter, Lemisa Kosugi, who originally went in to explore its dangerous lands in order to learn about where her father disappeared to after he failed to return from Eg-Lana, going through similar trials, puzzles, and death traps.
  • In their extremely vast, extremely deadly, and extremely mind-boggling explorations of ancient ruins, getting through all of the secrets required getting through many monsters and Guardians that had often left them hanging at the brink of death. Due to the scarcity of healing methods within the ruins they delve into, they often find themselves relying on the health refills that result from leveling up, even to the point of exploiting it in more dangerous situations, it being required for Lemeza in particular in one case. For these reasons, the explorers were given the trope of Level-Up Fill-Up.
    • The secret to their insane durability through this trope is the Sacred Orbs from La-Mulana that they've collected. With certain privileges in the Pantheon, they don't need to carry them around anymore to reap the benefits (not that it was ever a problem anyway).
  • YHVH found the Kosugis' destruction of both La-Mulana and Eg-Lana apprehensible, due to the fact that in their universe, the ruins of La-Mulana and Eg-Lana are considered as sacred world heritage sides, on top of the fact they killed many entities that could be considered deities, including The Mother, the creator of humanity and all sapient life on their planet. Their actions were brought forward to the Court of the Gods to see to it that they could be punished, but Lucifer and even Cosmos argued against YHVH's outcries, noting that The Mother would destroy every race that failed to bring her into space, and would have eventually destroyed humanity. The Court judged that the two explorers were just in destroying La-Mulana and Eg-Lana, stating that their actions were for the greater good overall. In spite of this failure, YHVH and his GUAL do not ever intend to welcome the two archaeologists.
  • In terms of gear, it's not known how much of (if any of) Lemeza's gear still has between the end of his adventure and when Lumisa finds him and Shorn after they went missing, but he now has them all back for future adventures. As for Lumisa, she still has hers just at the end of her adventure.
  • Their temple takes the form of their home. There's also a Flame Statue from La-Mulana and Eg-Lana that they can use to refuel their Lamps of Time (which stops time for a couple of seconds before its flame extinguishes). The fact that they have such an artifact is a concern to some members of the House of Time And Space, even if it is effectively a one-use thing most of the time.
  • With little surprise, they look up to other famous explorers like Lara Croft, Nathan Drake, and the League of Explorers for their interests in adventuring within dangerous archaelogy sites. And of course, Indiana Jones as well, but with Lemeza especially since he's an Expy of Indiana Jones. Often you'll see them compete for treasures whenever they're in the same dangerous temple or ruins. Additionally, Captain Toad and Daring Do spectate the Kosugis' adventures to learn from their skills and methods for dealing with ancient puzzles and riddles.
  • Lemeza always carries around his thin, lightweight, Japan-made Mobile Super X2 laptop, which is made specially for archeological exploration. It contains ROMs/software that can do more than just operate stuff in it but influence his surroundings as well, including an Auto-Revive (but It Only Works Once per "save"). It also has a pair of cases that make it usable even while underwater or under lava. As for Lumisa, she has a "Mobile Super X3+" tablet PC that serves the same purpose as Lemeza's laptop, with applications that can run functions similar to Lemeza's programs, including the same Auto-Revive as her father's.
    • Speaking of lava/magma, with the Ice Cape/Cloak, Lemeza/Lumisa's also extremely resistant. As for water, which is poisonous in La-Mulana and Eg-Lana, they both have a Scalesphere to protect from such effects, though freezing water is still a problem (luckily for Lumisa, she has something else for that).
  • The Kosugis apparently have a long line of ninjutsu in the family tree, and both used Ninja infiltration techniques for navigating around the death traps of La-Mulana as well as surviving great falls. They're also adept at using the Grapple Claw to scale walls.
  • Besides their signature (flail) whips, both Kosugis each possess a knife, axe, katana, flare gun, pistol, and Angel Shield. As for their other "sub-weapons", they'll have to make do with what's available in the Pantheon, though they prefer shurikens (standard and "rolling" kinds), javelins, "potato masher" grenades, (throwable) chakrams, and caltrops. For their diverse array of weaponry, the two deities have earned the respect of Firion for their common interest in utilizing a variety of weaponry.
    • After watching Shovel Knight explore a dungeon with his trusty shovel blade, they have realized the effectiveness of a battle-ready shovel for their future expeditions, which Shovel Knight is more than glad to here. The Kosugis figured that at some point, digging may become a more important skill in other adventures within the Pantheon.
  • Due to how many puzzles and the paramount difficulty of said puzzles that they've completed, Layton sometimes goes on adventures with them, due to high respect for their skills in both combat and puzzle-solving. As far as he knows, the two have proven their worth as explorers that can match his logic in equal.
  • From what they knew in La-Mulana and Eg-Lana, the deities of the various religions of their world were actually from predecessor races. Those Lemeza has met include Pazuzu, the Nuckelavee, Anubis, and Beelzebub. Those Lumisa has met include Ammit, Sekhmet, Angra Mainyu (though as a giant frog), Cerberus, the Hydra (though the one she fought doesn't even look draconic), the Sphinx, Arachne, Scylla, Fenrir (though it was a manned mecha), Daji, Ratatoskr (who was actually Hraesvelgr), Ra, and Surtr. Their counterparts in the Pantheon have reactions ranging from indifference to a little contempt. Ra had minor worries concerning that the counterpart of him Lumisa fought was more antagonistic and even absorbed the Horus of their world into himself by force.
  • Like with YHVH, neither deity is fond of Amon for his desire to destroy everything and recreate the universe to his liking, all for selfish purposes. Nor do they intend to let the Divine Powers turn humanity into their servants. And Zamasu's desire to eliminate mortals just hits far too close to home when it comes to deities similar to The Mother that they've fought against. They also find Mem Aleph to be far too similar to The Mother for their liking. Mem Aleph is displeased with them given their penchant for dealing with mythical figures and demons and the fact that even she knows better than to cause genocide on her own children for much less meaningful failures than the destruction of nature. That said, they do understand each others' opposition against YHVH, at the very least.
  • Having had to contend with so many Goddamned Bats in La-Mulana/Eg-Lana, the Kosugis despise all forms of Ledge Bats. On the other hand, they have a recipe for bat curry. This has made Golbat and Zubat stay far away from them, and Antasma has been offended by the notion, but knowing their experience with actual deities, he also keeps away from them. Rouge still wants to try to get in on their adventures to steal some of the loot they find, though with much hesitation. Obviously they dislike the potential annoyance that the Medusa Heads can become, which Simon Belmont is in much agreement with.
  • The two of them looted the temple of the Regi Trio after finding the entrance to their temple rather easy to break in, given their experience with much harder puzzles. The Regi Trio were not very happy to see them take whatever they felt like getting their hands on, but were mostly helpless to stop them given their agility.
  • Obviously, going through so many of them already, they despise those who use death traps in general, but Lemeza has a special hatred for them given that he's been given four achievements for dying to death traps. His rancor extends to the Jigsaw Killer for his interest in creating them. Kramer sometimes worries that if he gets Lemeza caught up in one of his traps that he may personally come for him, and given his determination and experience with death traps, the Jigsaw Killer has all the right to be concerned.
  • Being able to interact with fairies with Isis' Pendant, they're friendly with plenty of the non-evil deities from the Hall of Fairies, and they've given similar respect to Titania as they did with the Fairy Queen of their world. As such, sometimes a member of that Hall will give them a blessing whenever they're in the mood. Ghaleon also has high respect for them not only for their overall nice treatment towards fairies but them reminding him of a hero from his world named Hiro who also had an interest in exploring ruins like they did.
    • Klefki's one of the members that effectively antagonizes them by robbing them of keys they find when exploring, and from their initial encounters with the Pokemon, watch their inventory more sternly than before. As if they weren't already after getting robbed of some of the treasures they found in other adventures by Rafaam.
  • They both love to rest in hot springs to recover, with or without their normal clothing on. The two of them along with Pit like to describe themselves as "Hot Spring Connoisseurs".
  • Exclusive to Lemeza:
    • As a curry addict, Lemeza is a regular customer at Café Leblanc, and whenever he isn't exploring ruins, temples, or dungeons, he's very likely lounging there. Sojiro's thankful that in the Pantheon, running out of stock isn't too much of a concern for him, though making curry for Lemeza can be tedious at times. And when it comes to other people who love eating curry, he's made a friend out of Rock Lee due to their shared like of curry and becoming interested in each other's ninja techniques, as well as Usalia due to always having a friendly curry-eating contest whenever they visit at the same time, much to Sojiro's dread.
    • Having struggled and survived through the dangerous traps and trials of the horrible Hell Temple, he has nothing but respect for Quote and Curly Brace for overcoming the hell they've survived through themselves, and the feeling is mutual. On the other hand, what they earned from conquering said challenges is a different story...
    • On one dreaded day, Lemeza suddenly was walking around in some skimpy looking attire that the Pantheon calls the Provocative Bathing Suit, an artifact he obtained after completing his journey through the Hell Temple, and went to the House of Music just to dance with it on, for everyone to see. Many deities watching at the time were traumatized, to put it simply, and ran away in fear. Even the deities who normally didn't mind men like him wearing bikinis and other feminine clothing couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about it. Very rare footage of the event is also used by members of the House of Torture and Mutilation use it to mentally torture some of the more stoic victims they get their hands on. A VUX individual, known for finding humans horribly ugly, instantly died upon accidentally looking at it. Nowadays, if Lemeza is seen with that thing on, he's straight up banned from the House of Music and many heavily public areas. Lumisa holds no comment on the suit, nor does she have any inclination to wear it herself.
    • Lemeza and especially his grandfather Xelpud are known admirers of MSX games including some obscure titles, but Lemeza is also familiar with Parodius, so he's actually friends with the oddly sapient Vic Viper in the House of Gaming.
    • Is not fond of fathers that exploit their childrens' work, considering that his father, Shorn, stole the treasure of La-Mulana after finishing his quest. However, everyone else, Lumisa included, properly called him out when he and Shorn decided to steal the Treasure of Eg-Lana from Lumisa who earned it herself and rescued them earlier as well. Lumisa did get it back in the end. Lemeza hasn't tried or thought about repeating this anyway, secretly respecting his daughter for managing to take it back.
  • Exclusive to Lumisa:
    • Given their ages, it's not known what her family situation is. Was she the daughter of Lemeza's wife before she married Lemeza? Is she actually an illegitimate child of Shorn? Did Lemeza father her when he was only 15? Is she even born a Kosugi? Nobody knows, and neither of them are answering.
    • Among her inventory is the Mjolnir, which she can use to absorb lighting, especially the supernatural kind, and then cast it herself. That said, it can only hold so much and will discharge if she takes more than it can handle if she doesn't do it manually. With the Power Band accessory she also obtained separately, she can direct it at foes.
      • When she was first seen with it, Thor was quick to notice her skills with it, and requested a friendly duel to demonstrate each other's skills with their respective Mjolnir. Lumisa accepted and soon the Hall of Electricity ended up needing much repairs. While Thor obviously had more expertise with it, he was still impressed by Lumisa's usage of her own Mjolnir. Additionally, Thor's also interested in her potential to oppose some of Thor's enemies, particularly Surtr and Hel, both of which greatly dislike Lumisa for her victory against their counterparts in her world. Fenrir and Jorumgand were just machines there so they don't care too much.
    • Is suspicious of Saitama due to somehow recognizing him, but as a different person known as Hydlit, a merchant she's dealt with whose face and baldness match Saitama very similarly. Later on, she learned of Lea, who despite her communication issues, managed to get across her own suspicions about Saitama, which Lumisa believes to have been another person deceived by Saitama, unaware that Lea encountered a Santa Claus who looked like Saitama. While their efforts in exposing Saitama's secret identities have failed repeatedly, they still respect each other for their abilities to explore and deal with puzzles.
    • She also has the Gale Fibula, which are reminiscent of Link's Pegasus Boots in that when worn she can sprint really fast in a certain direction, but cannot stop until she bumps into something.
    • While pitying Burgerpants for his unfortunate occupation, having met him in her own trek within Eg-Lana, the gestures he made towards her had genuinely creeped her out. (They were not any romantic advances of any kind, just really odd in general) She's aware that he's somewhat of a decent guy regardless. She also recognizes Flowey and is confused about his reputation since Flowey hasn't harmed or tormented anyone in her own adventure, though she knows he can make a foul grin. Flowey also continues to act nice and innocent near her, even though Lumisa's unaware that Flowey's a good guy pretending to be evil, as The Mole for the GUAG.
    • Despises those who orchestrate a war, and then plant someone else as The Scapegoat for it, as had happened with the Giant Sakit when she met him (the one Lemeza met was a false one), which not even Lemeza knew about before his trip into Eg-Lana. For this reason she has a special enmity for Hades (the one opposing Pit), infamous for the Wish Seed incident in his world where he got humans and Pit to attack a phoenix, only to use its death to trigger a greater war within humanity for the false existence of the Wish Seed.
    • At first, some deities mistook Lumisa for another deity named Ann Takamaki due to her Japanese-American heritage, her use of whips, and because of having "seen" her previously in some Halloween event where the Phantom Thieves had dressed up as various archaeologists that weren't deified back then, including Ann dressing as Lumisa herself. When the two eventually met, it ended off with a laugh-filled discussion, and their similarities ended up making each good friends. Who else was who?
