Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Secret Squirrel, God of Storing Items in Trench Coats (Agent 000)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_1secretsquirrel.png
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His hat and trenchcoat
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Crazy-Prepared, Alliterative Name, Almost Never Using the Front Door
  • Domains: Squirrels, Spies
  • Herald: Morocco Mole
  • Allies: Squirrel Girl, Nick Fury, Perry the Platypus
  • Enemies: The Spy
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Black & White Spy, Ratatoskr
  • Odd Relations: Conker the Squirrel, Dr. Doofenshmirtz
  • Whenever trouble is afoot and some devious ne’er do well is out and about taking something they deem valuable, it’s up to this squirrel to stop them in their tracks and take them down. Secret Squirrel, alongside his sidekick Morocco Mole, is tasked with finding various criminals, though he has plenty of quirks for someone in the spy field. He relies on his trenchcoat in order to help him get closer to his target and that trenchcoat is stored with anything ranging from weapons of all kinds to a machine that lets him analyze an item and determine who he’s after. For the most part, Secret isn’t the brightest spy out there, but he’s been generally successful at doing what he needs to do.
  • Secret and Morocco were summoned one day by their boss, who told them that there was a letter sent to Secret that had no written material and no address as to where it came from. After analyzing it with a machine inside his trenchcoat, Secret learned that the letter came from a “Pantheon” and that Secret and Morocco would go there to see what that “Pantheon” wanted. The two took their flying car with them and after some time, wasn’t sure where “Pantheon” was exactly. Secret then pressed a button on the car that would make it go faster, resulting in them crashing into a building not long after. No one was there to greet them, but Secret did find a newspaper talking about the Pantheon and its various crimes. After realizing what was going on, Secret took it upon himself and Morocco that they would continue their work in the Pantheon and stop any evildoers that come their way.
  • The building that Secret and Morocco crashed into belonged to Nick Fury, who learned that some strange visitors ended up in his place while he was busy. After learning that Secret was a spy, Nick decided to talk to the squirrel to get a few things straight. The sight of a talking squirrel wasn’t all that odd given that Nick has seen stranger occurrences happen and he was quick to point out to Secret that there are plenty of other spies in the Pantheon both good and evil. Nick pointed out that even with the wide assortment of gadgets that Secret can get out of his trenchcoat, there are plenty of dangers that are far greater than Secret has known thus far. Secret was willing to work with Nick whenever possible and has been given some missions from him since then, though Nick could do without Secret crashing into his room whenever he’s requesting the squirrel.
  • While on a mission to stop a criminal from going after some nuclear weapons, he came across Squirrel Girl talking to some squirrels. Doreen was more than excited to meet up with another squirrel and asked if he was a spy given the outfit he was wearing. He stated yes and that he’s able to talk on his own to others. Doreen tagged along with Secret on his mission and came across a criminal mastermind that was trying to steal the weapons in an attempt to take over the Pantheon. Just as Secret was about to get a weapon to finish things, Doreen was able to make quick work of the criminal and get him arrested, much to Secret’s surprise. Regardless of how things played out, both Doreen and Secret have gotten along with each other very well, with Doreen offering her help to Secret whenever the latter is struggling to accomplish something that can’t be accomplished through normal means (“normal” to Secret at any rate).
  • When Conker saw someone wearing a suspicious outfit from afar, he felt that something bad was going to happen to him again. The figure got closer and it turned out to be Secret, who was simply happy to meet up with another squirrel. Conker’s fears were mitigated somewhat by Secret’s friendly disposition, though learning about what he does for a living brought down Conker for a bit. He’s already gone through a bunch of ridiculous things throughout his adventures and the last thing he needs is to be a secret agent again considering how badly that endeavor ended for him. Secret having more success as a spy made Conker a bit jealous, but he couldn’t bring himself to truly hate Secret given how friendly the latter is. Despite Conker’s generally cynical attitude, Secret knows that Conker is capable of fighting and is considering helping him improve his skills (and personality if at all possible).
  • Rumors began to spread that Secret is a flasher as a result of constantly carrying around a trenchcoat. He was rather annoyed with it given that he’s only trying to get something out to help him with his mission, but as the rumor grew, he was determined to find the source of it and stop the rumor from spreading. His work led him to find Ratatoskr and that squirrel was surprised to see another squirrel find out about his rumor-mongering. Secret was very annoyed that someone small and annoying creature like Ratatoskr was spreading rumors that besmirched Secret’s name. Although the flasher rumors subsided, it hasn’t prevented Ratatoskr from annoying Secret on occasion out of self-serving amusement.
  • Nick Fury introduced Secret to another animal spy that would be serving as a partner of sorts for the squirrel. Perry the Platypus was quick to notice Secret’s eccentricities during their first mission together, but he finds the gadgets that Secret pulls out to be pretty useful whenever they’re in a tight spot. Through Perry, Secret got to meet Dr. Doofenshmirtz, who started off as Perry’s frenemy before truly becoming friends with each other. Secret was surprised to find a former arch-enemy of a spy become friends with them and was willing to take Doof’s word for it in regards to what he went through. Doof was even willing to provide Secret with inventions of his own, but the squirrel was fine with what he has stored in his trenchcoat (though Doof is still trying to figure out how Secret is able to store and get whatever’s necessary from there). Secret and Perry have since gone out on their own missions, with Doof providing some assistance whenever necessary.
  • One of Secret’s missions involved him going after someone known only as The Spy. When Secret first met him, The Spy pretended to be someone who has sent to help Secret and the squirrel fell into The Spy’s trick. After The Spy betrayed him, Secret then sought out to finish the mission he was given and used his analysis machine to determine where The Spy was at. The Spy was noticeably much more difficult than many of Secret’s prior foes and while Secret was able to subdue The Spy, The Spy was clever enough to escape capture. Secret considers The Spy to be a significant problem given his devious nature and The Spy considers the squirrel to be little more than a silly nuisance.
  • Given the wide variety of gadgets Secret has with him for his missions, a few have wondered who designs them and if it’s possible that Secret himself has come up with them. True to his name, Secret didn’t reveal who was responsible for his Gadgets, but he is more than welcome to letting some secret agents borrow them for a bit if they’re having trouble on some missions. After learning about a number of technicians and mechanics in the Pantheon, he has pondered for a bit if they can come up with some useful gizmos for him and other spies to use, but ultimately decided that he and his fellow spies were fine with what they were normally given for the most part.
  • Secret ended up finding himself in a strange conflict when a white-clad spy approached him, thinking that an outfit like that would help out in outsmarting whatever a black-clad spy had in store. Secret went along with White Spy and witnessed what was going on after the White Spy was able temporarily outsmart Black Spy. While Secret was preparing to mind his own business on other matters, Black Spy (who Secret recognized from not long ago) wanted the squirrel’s help and he got pulled back into another complex scheme. A few encounters later, Secret felt that it was exhausting to get involved with constantly fighting spies with no end in sight and opted to try and ignore them. That said, it hasn’t worked out a number of times, though things tend to be better for him whenever Perry and Doof fight the two and the squirrel is eager to take their side rather than the monochrome spies.

Zira, Goddess of Ear Notches
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lion2_disneyscreencapscom_2496.jpg
  • Demigoddess
  • Symbol: Her Ear Notch
  • Theme Music: My Lullaby; Lions Over All
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Contrasting Sequel Antagonist, Dark Action Girl, Avenging the Villain, Faux Affably Evil, Misplaced Retribution, Ax-Crazy, Lean and Mean, Mood-Swinger
  • Domains: Lioness, Vengeance
  • High Priest: Don Karnage
  • Allies: Scar, Claudandus, Shere Khan, Sabor
  • Enemies: Simba, Timon & Pumbaa, Aslan, good-aligned royalty
  • Mixed Relations: Lady Macbeth
  • Scar has never been what one would consider to be an effective leader of the Pride Lands after taking the spot for himself, but it hasn’t prevented him from having others who hold plenty of respect towards him. Zira falls in that category of admirers and ever since Scar got eaten to death by hyenas, she has been plotting revenge against Simba for apparently causing Scar’s downfall. She is part of the Outlanders, a group of outcasts in the Pride Lands and attempted to use Kovu to take what she believes was rightfully Scar’s. When that failed (and eventually leading to the rest of the Outlanders to side with Simba near the end of her scheme), Zira tried and failed to murder Simba, only to fall to her death in raging waters. No one knows why Zira has a notch on her ear, but it helps with her image of being an unhinged, vengeful lioness.
  • One night in the Pantheon, some rough waters hit a river and with it, a seemingly unconscious lioness. Just as someone was about to examine the body, Zira growled rather tiredly, scaring off the person who was about to look at her. A few seconds later, Zira realized that she was still alive and took a bit of time to walk around the landscape at night. She then overheard a conversation related to Simba and quickly realized that not only was Simba still around, but it meant that Scar was alive. It became clear to her that she was going to finish what she had started and with her being in an unfamiliar location, it meant looking for additional friends to take down Simba and foes that stand in her way.
  • While it’s not explicitly stated that she and Scar were married, many tend to assume that this was the case. All things considered, Zira and Scar are very close friends and he’s rather pleased to know that there is someone who is willing to support his plans. Zira is usually the one that comes up with the plans to help herself and Scar gain more power, with Scar generally stepping in whenever Zira’s plans don’t work out. Although they still haven’t gotten the power and leadership they desire, both remain determined to get payback on Simba and his friends.
  • Despite The Hyenas directly killing Scar, Zira still remains adamant in getting revenge on Simba for thwarting Scar’s ambitions. Regardless, she has some disdain towards hyenas and in turn, a number of hyenas in the Pride Lands don’t like her. Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed weren’t fully aware of who Zira was at first, but after hearing about her ties to Scar (who the trio turned against), their dislike of her became rather pronounced and Zira isn’t above engaging the trio in a fight if they feel like attacking her.
  • At the behest of Scar, Zira decided to meet Claudandus, who was familiar with Scar and is working with him. Zira was willing to say to him that she considers lions to be superior to all animals and Claudandus took it that she believes that all felines are superior. Zira responded that only those who follow her beliefs are better than all others, which went over with Claudandus’ goals of making felines the dominant species all-around very well. She’s willing to work with Claudandus’ project if it means letting lions become dominant all around the Pantheon, despite never meeting any humans beforehand to understand the full extent of his ambitions.
    • On the subject of other dangerous felines, she found out about Shere Khan and Sabor, a pair of other felines whom Scar is working with and she generally got along with them. Shere Khan’s strength and viciousness was something that Zira approved of and although she hasn’t been able to really talk to Sabor, she sees potential in the leopard. In the grand scheme of things, Scar leads over these felines, with Zira being his most devout supporter and Shere Khan and Sabor serving as strong attackers against their enemies.
  • If there’s one other lion that Zira hates alongside Simba, it would be Aslan. Since Aslan opposed Scar on the grounds of forcefully usurping the Pride Lands from Mufasa much like how Aslan was forced to give up Narnia in the hands of The White Witch, Zira believed that anyone who opposes Scar deserves to be eliminated. That said, she really can’t engage in a direct fight against Aslan given how powerful he is, so all she can do is figure out some sort of plan that would let her have an advantage when the time for the two to fight does happen.
  • As someone who’s devoted to an ambitious, but villainous figure, she ended up finding Lady Macbeth, who happened to care about her husband and supported his goals. Despite this, Lady Macbeth ended up seeing plenty of disturbing visions and had to deal with guilt, something that culminated in her committing suicide. Zira on the other hand, didn’t appear to harbor much, if any, regrets on what she was trying to do (especially since her plan was more for herself than the Outlanders in general) and remained driven to her goals even after drowning in water. The fact that Lady Macbeth had to deal with guilt was something that didn’t sit well with Zira and the lioness believes that Lady Macbeth should have been more proactive in trying to support her husband and his desire for power. On her end, Lady Macbeth saw in Zira a possibly darker version of herself in terms of personality.
  • Zira’s persistent drive for revenge has unsettled a few heroic deities who have had to deal with revenge and later setting it aside when vengeance accomplished nothing. They find Zira to be frustrating to deal with given how she was so focused on her own goals and blinded by revenge that she alienated her own allies. She’s nothing more than convinced that some people just don’t want her and Scar to become leaders of the Pride Lands with what they’re saying and is determined to prove them wrong, especially those aforementioned deities.
  • While looking for those who are willing to support her and Scar, Zira came across a section of the Pantheon dedicated to highlighting significant royal figures. It was there she learned about a number of royal figures, both good and evil, those who took position of king or queen fairly, and those who took the title by force and became self-serving tyrants. Zira couldn’t care less about actual benevolent royalty and she isn’t willing to talk about the other corrupt royal figures. All she’s focused on is ensuring that she and Scar are able to be powerful and respected (the latter basically being impossible given her selfishness) rulers and if they can’t take over the Pride Lands, they will find another land of animals to rule over.

Okay. New set of questions.

1. Besides the fellows I'm thinking of here, are there any other artists Relm would interact with? I don't think I'm gonna count Taki since it's just a hobby and he's more on landscapes.

2. What kind of Caretaker dynamic does Taiga Hanaya have with his patient Nico, and what's Dean Winchester's dynamic with his brother Sam? And what of Jo March with Beth?

3. Cyan is a samurai and his son who died in Doma is named Owain. Said son also vows to Cyan that he'll practice swordplay to protect his mother when he boards the phantom train to the afterlife. Fire Emblem Awakening introduces a character named Owain, he's a Myrmidon (a sword-wielding class excelling in skill and speed), and is also quite attached to his mother. I wonder what interaction could I write for them?

Zubat and Golbat, Unholy Colony of Perpetually Annoying Encounters (The Bat Pokémon)

Zubat

Golbat
  • Theme Song: Mt. Moon (Pokémon Red and Blue)
  • Symbol: Their faces and open mouths
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Gender: Mixed
  • Ability: Inner Focus
  • Moves: Leech Life, Supersonic, Absorb, Bite, Wing Attack, and Confuse Ray, though trained variants have Mean Look, Poison Fang and Acrobatics
    • Z-Moves: Varies between Acid Downpour, Supersonic Skystrike, and Black Hole Eclipse depending on the Zubat/Golbat
  • Portfolio: Deceptively Hard-to-Defeat Enemies, Cave-Dwelling Pokémon, Bats, Found In All Sorts of Locales, Flying-type, Poison-type, Draining HP With Leech Life And Absorb, Sound-Based Moves
  • Domains (Types): Bats, Annoyance, Poison
  • Heralds: Tentacool, Wingull, Yungoos
  • Followers: Fleamen, Future predators, and... bats. Lots and lots of other species of cave bats.
  • Allies: Naka, Brock, Riku, Chuggaaconroy, the Bat Family, Gladion
  • Conflicting Opinions: Team Rocket, and all other villainous teams in the Pokémon World (lesser extent for Maxie, Archie, and Cyrus)
  • Enemy: All Electric-type, Rock-type, and Psychic-type users
  • Not to Be Confused With: Kaiketsu Zubat
  • When it comes to aggravating Random Encounters that players hate facing (not for their difficulty, but for their annoyance to take down), none are more infamous than the Zubat evolutionary line. Absurdly high encounter rates, ludicrous speed, HP draining attacks, and Confusion-inducing moves make for a huge nuisance. And when Zubat become small fry, their evolutions Golbat pick up the slack with potent poisoning, escape prevention, and forced turn skipping by way of flinching. The only reason their final stage Crobat is not counted is because they're only encountered under trainers since Happiness is required to evolve them to that stage.
  • Despite having their own temple/cave in the House of Gaming, they can be found in caves all over the Pantheon, often getting into competition with other cave-dwelling bats and expies of such.
  • Through capture, training and The Power of Friendship, Zubat can one day gain great power to aid in the battle against evil. It was stuck in the Villains house before the opening of the Gaming house just because how it annoys many Pokémon trainers in their quest to attain heroism. Doesn't help that Zubat is the most common Pokémon among the grunts of the Pokémon world's villainous teams.
  • The smarter ones in their colony avoid those with electric or psychic powers given they have a Type weakness to them.
  • Of all gods to make friends with Zubat was Chuggaaconroy, who captured Zubat and evolved it into a Crobat that he calls…Acrobat.
    • Brock has also shown that he has captured a Zubat (which also evolved into Crobat) in the past, so at least they have trusted company now.
    • Riku has given a hint that whenever his Komory Bat is in the Pokémon world, it takes on the form of a Crobat.
  • While not having any particulars, the Zubat and Golbat are occasional aid for the Bat family whenever they call up for bats to harass the enemy. And boy are they good at it.
  • While a popular Pokémon used by the villainous teams, they have no real opinions on some of the leaders (or the Rocket trio), as they have none of their own in their parties. Actually, their is disdain for Ghetsis because he's that despicable. There's a bit more respect for Maxie, Archie, and Cyrus given they own Golbats that eventually evolved into Crobats.

Vincent Brooks, God of Climbing to Survive (Man Drinking Alone, The Man of Legends)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Vincent_Brooks_1731.png
  • Quasideity (Demigod in his Nightmares, Greater God in the True Cheater Ending)
  • [tup]s: 2 (The Wikia Editor, kingvideogames)
  • Symbol: Pillow and pink polka-dot boxer
  • Theme Song: Also Sprach Brooks
  • Alignment: True Neutral (remains so or shifts to Neutral Good in the Neutral/Freedom/Rin's Ending, shifts to Lawful Good at the Commitment Ending, and shifts to Chaotic Neutral at the Cheater Ending)
  • Portfolio: The Everyman, Wears Underwear in His Nightmare, Jaw Drops Much of His Life, Determined to Survive in his Nightmare, Choice of Commitment or Freedom or Something Else, Terrible Liar, Nice Guy, Grew a Spine, Large Ham, Helping Others With The Same Struggle As He, Happily Married (potentially)
  • Domains: Climbing, Survival, Relationship
  • Heralds: Katherine McBride, Catherine, and Qatherine/"Rin"/Ydoblluf Enirehtaq (his Love Interest options)
  • Allies: Homer Simpson, Moe, Harth Stonebrew, Ysera, NiGHTS
  • Enemies: Bane, Junko Enoshima, The High Sparrow
  • Cautious Around: All succubi in general, Darkrai, Lucifer
  • Opposed by: Poland
  • Vincent Brooks is a thirty-two year old in a relationship with his girlfriend, Katherine McBride, but was too indecisive in regards to marriage. When the enigmatic beauty named Catherine appeared in his life, everything is dragged into a nightmare. Literally, he is trapped in a nightmare where he must climb to the top in order to survive or else he will die in the real world.
  • Due to the nature of Multiple Endings, this Vincent is one of nine potential versions of his future, selected by an unidentified deity. In four of them, he doesn't get either the succubus Catherine or his old girlfriend Katherine McBride, two where it's by his own choice, two in where the girl he chose turns him down but at least he is now free to get his life back on track. In two, he lives in the Netherworld with Catherine, and in one of those, he took it over from her bumbling father. In two others, he makes it up to Katherine, and in one of them they shortly marry. The Vincent that came is the one where he doesn't pick either girl and pursues his dreams of space tourism, after which he was invited to the Pantheon.
    • However, things became murkier with the reveal of the Full Body story, which showed a new Love Interest (Qathe)Rin(e), and more endings, like one where he goes back in time with Catherine and they start over from there until they eventually marry (with Catherine living the human life), one where Katherine breaks up with him but is able to get a better life (as a model) and convinces Vincent to do the same, and two where he goes for the new love interest Rin instead and either he leaves to find himself and help others with his powers before he and Vincent eventually come back together or they swiftly marry in a few months and hold a space tour (with Vincent becoming a producer and Rin soaring in his pianist career).
    • This question was sort-of answered when his heralds arrived, and it proved to be a brief nightmare; the three (K/C/Q)atherines he had to choose between were all picked, resulting in a brief Cat Fight started by the succubus on the crossdressing angel/alien that Brooks and McBride had to break up. As it turns out, each of the girls came from the extra Full Body endings, which is why Katherine didn't partake in the Cat Fight; she has since moved on from Vincent in her ending. As a result of the Cat Fight however, it is now known that Rin is a boy as well as an extraterrestrial and that Catherine was the one tempting Vincent when he thought he was cheating. A representative from the Court of the Gods eventually stepped in and made arrangements.
  • After clearing things up and seeing what can be done to avoid another fight, he was approached by Issei Hyodo, who has experience with handling a harem, and he and his companions helped with finding a good compromise that even Catherine can agree to. -what to be done here?-
  • He recognized Makoto Yuki as that kid he met in Club Escapade at Paulownia Mall. When they first met, he told him that his story will probably have nothing to do with Makoto's problems. And then he heard of the Dark Hour S.E.E.S. operated in.
    • Having confronted his Shadow back in his nightmares before, Vincent decided doing so again in the TV World wouldn't be a bad idea. Makoto volunteered to escort him (along with a few of his S.E.E.S. friends) Getting a Persona out of the deal seems to be pretty sweet, and thanks to his encounter with Makoto, he's able to use it outside, too.
  • Even though she sees potential in him, Kyu decided to respectfully back off from taking him in as a client. With what he's been through, he's probably not ready. It doesn't help that in some of his endings, he's already happily married, and it's in her rules not to go after such people, no matter the gender of the couple.
  • Due to his experience with Catherine, who is revealed to be a succubus, he doesn't like to be near others like Morrigan and Lilith Aensland. Catherine is enough, thank you very much.
  • Hideri Kanzaki, Bridget, and Astolfo do remind him of Rin's situation, all being cute crossdressing boys.
  • Princess Cadance pities him for the hell he had to endure, and plans to tear Thomas Mutton a new one for putting him and many others through such a trying ordeal, even if it's to continue population growth by weeding out cheaters.
  • Because he endured in The Great Trials in his Nightmares for a week, he doesn't like those who bring nightmares which could force him back in if they had the power. He seeks the help of some dream deities that could help him sleep well just in case these Nightmares could be recreated in the Pantheon.
    • He doesn't enjoy being in Darkrai's company, since he can cause bad dreams. This guy needs a supply of Lunar Wings. Though, Bane enjoyed making an illusion of his Nightmares when he is put to sleep by him.
    • Though Luna would help with his dreams, if she sees that he is going to start another relationship problem, especially with Rin and Catherine, she might restore the Nightmare again just to teach him a lesson.
  • He is usually seen drinking at the House of Food. He befriended Homer as his drinking buddy, and thinks Moe is alright considering how his old bartender, The Boss, essentially started his Nightmares and was his final obstacle.
  • He once played an arcade game based on Rapunzel in which is similar to his Nightmares. He told both Rapunzel and Flynn Rider that he hoped that their marriage lasts forever.
  • He meets with those experienced with tarot cards who tells him about how his trials were similar to the story of the Lovers Arcana. He was put on a crossroad where he choose either a young romantic woman who represents Catherine or an older wise woman who represents Katherine. Of course, he could take another path if he wanted to and he took it.
  • He doesn't usually speak to high school students, but he feels very uncomfortable when speaking with the Yukari Takeba and Rise Kujikawa since the two sound too much like K/Catherine, it's both confusing and disturbing. Ironically, both of these girls represent the Lovers Arcana.
    • Another he avoids is Ann Takamaki, mainly since she's reminiscent of Catherine appearance-wise (and has even dressed as her on occasion). Incidentally, just like the above two, she's also of the Lovers Arcana.
  • Despite K/Catherine being a common name, whenever ladies with that name ascend he's never sure if it's either McBride or the succubus. With the women named Catherine Kyoubashi and Katherine Anne Pryde, he realized that he was gladly mistaken.
  • Despite his complicated situation, he openly respects those that got married since they made a choice on commitment. Though he is in no position to oppose cheating, since he either was trapped in it or embraced it, he hoped that they don't suffer through the Nightmare he faced, depending on how bad they are.
    • He doesn't appreciate Makoto Itou for actively cheating on people. In fact, he was very nervous and even frightened of the love triangle the kid got himself into. Though he isn't old enough, he hoped that he doesn't have to suffer through the same thing he faced in his nightmares.
    • He doesn't know how he feels about the love goddess Aphrodite, who is known to have multiple lovers.
    • Ironically, he doesn't know how he feels about harems since it's not technically cheating when there are multiple partners holding interest in one person. Though Issei Hyodo is shown to have the most stable harem as in the future, all the girls have a child with him and are in a happy family.
      • It is worth noting that Lucifer "respects" him for that one timeline where he became the new Lord of the Underworld and got himself a harem of demonesses, spending million of maccas (currency) for his honeymoon with said demon harem to compensate for what his friend Ishtar (or rather her human guise Trisha) put him through. Vincent isn't sure what to say about this.
    • He pitied both Korra and Asami when they dated Mako as he cheated on both with each other, although he's surprised that they became a couple with each other instead.
  • Whether or not he's actually chose Rin, the fact that he's not a strict homosexual has earned him the enmity of heterosexists such as Junko Enoshima, The High Sparrow, and Poland.

I checked the Firearms subhouse and saw that Mana Tatsumiya has 2 tropes: Bizarre and Improbable Ballistics and Unorthodox Reload. Which trope is better to remove and which to keep? In my opinion, Bizarre and Improbable Ballistics could be freed.

[up][up] While I don't recall what the situation is for having two Tropes, might as well mention that Carmen Sandiego has three.

First louisent31 [tup] for Tomorrowland.

Secondly I have three new nominations.

Lucien Fairfax, Master of the Evil Tower of Ominousness (The Tattered Spire)

  • An Obviously Evil tower, that was made by the labor and blood of slaves. Filled with mind controlled guards (assuming they weren't already evil) and Elite Evil Minions that barely count as human anymore. When you first enter it, an NCP will mention how fundamentally wrong the tower itself feels. The tower is a Star Scraper when fully completed and is built to Make a Wish, by gathering all the magical energy in the world to a single location. The first time it was built, it actually destroyed all of civilization, It also acts as a bridge between the Normal World and the Void. The home/prison of the The Corrupter. The Third game has an Evil Weapon called the "Shardborne". A sword forged by a shard (which are implied to be shards of the Spire itself) and is literally described to "emit pure evil". And you upgrade the weapon by doing immoral actions.

(BlazBlue) Izanami, Goddess of Being Tortured Makes You Evil

  • This is a really heavy spoiler just so everyone knows so... Izanami is in fact Saya herself. While originally an innocent little girl, the Cold-Blooded Torture that she suffered through both Hazama's and Relius Clover's hands were so bad, it literally broke her soul. One stayed as The Master Unit, the other became Noel, and the last one became Izanami. Torture literally created Izanami.

Steve Rogers/Hydra Supreme, God of Evil Doppelgänger

  • Thanks to the manipulations of the Red Skull, using the sentient Cosmic Cube Kobik, there was a Cosmic Retcon in where Captain America/Steve Rogers was a HYDRA agent. By all accounts this is Steve Rogers, but with history rewritten to be that he was also a member of HYDRA since childhood. This doppelganger is everything that Steve Rogers hates, an evil, racist, hypocritical, manipulative, Nazi. He's everything Captain America isn't, and everything he fears he could ever become.

I know that Albedo has Evil Doppelgänger and that Renekton has Being Tortured Makes You Evil. But Renekton also has The Dark Side Will Make You Forget and is also in need of a rework. And Albedo also has an admittedly poor profile, and would probably would have been cut later on.

Takagi and Nishikata, Divine Couple of The Girlfriend Tricking the Boyfriend (Takagi: The Teasing Master, The Legendary Forehead)

  • Herald: 'Chi' Nishikata (their daughter)
  • Sitcom Archnemesis: Each other, even after marriage
  • Allies: Dipper and Mabel Pines, Conan Edogawa, Kousei Arima and Kaori Miyazono, the Eva pilots, Gentaro Kisaragi and the Kamen Rider Club, Kirito and Asuna, Shino Asada, Suguha Kirigaya, the Mane Six (especially Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy), the Equestria Girls, Rei Miyamato, Mikasa Ackerman
  • Odd Friendship: Issei Hyodo (Nishikata)
  • Commonality Connection with: Ciel Kirahoshi/Cure Parfait, Haru Okumura, Dib Membrane (for their large foreheads)
  • On Speaking Terms with: Most ordinary parents in the Pantheon
  • Enemies: No direct ones so far as they don't like to antagonize people and haven't run into any trouble so far. The GUAE, GUAC and GUAD count to an extent, though Yuuki Terumi could count as Takagi's Evil Counterpart
  • Respect: Phoenix Wright (Nishikata only)
  • Respected by: As is by tradition, the rest of the House of Love, Kaito Kid (Takagi only, for her excellent poker face)
  • Oppose: Eren Yeager, Miss Trunchbull
  • Pities: Rika Furude
  • Annoyed by: Bully hunters like Naughty Bear and Jimmy Hopkins (Takagi only), Mr. Mxyzptlk, The Goose (Nishikata only)
  • Conflicting Opinion: "Speed-O'-Sound" Sonic (Nishikata only)
  • The titular character of her universe, Takagi (no first name given) first met Nishikata on his first day of middle school and was touched because he went out of his way to get her lost handkerchief back to lost-and-found knowing it would get him in trouble for being late on their first day of middle school. From then on she would have a crush on him for years. How did she express her love? Through teasing. From the moment they were assigned to sit next to each other in class, both Takagi and Nishikata would pull pranks on or challenge each other to little games for the sole purpose of embarrassing each other, with Takagi always coming out on top. Like most cases, Nishikata only ever saw these pranks as annoyances. Most people could see that there was a close relationship forming between them both, especially since they both share similar interests and a competitive spirit. Nishikata would only fully catch on in their third year and invite her on a 'date' to the town summer festival.
  • Their entry into the Pantheon came courtesy of another challenge set by Nishikata: walk into the abandoned highway tunnel without getting scared. They had already gone through this test of courage in their teenage years but Takagi chose to humour him and do it anyway. What was supposed to be an ordinary game turned extraordinary when they stepped into the tunnel as adults and came out as their in-series teenage selves. Nishikata had received via text message from his friends Takao and Kimura a seemingly genuine video of a purple and orange ghost in the tunnel and wanted to see for himself but was too scared to investigate further. He invited his wife along under the pretence of a game. Mr. Mxyzptlk had been using the highway tunnel to mess aboutnote . After unsuccessfully heading them off, he brought them to the 'police station' for help. What was originally a fiasco on his part ended up becoming two ascensions to the Pantheon and the fifth-dimensional losing a world where he could operate freely (and a fine).
  • Even as adults, Takagi continues to prank and tease her husband especially when Chi's around, with Nishikata continuing to lose miserably in her games. Many in the House of Love enjoy seeing their antics and one deity even made a special set of tarot cards for their anniversary, with Takagi as "The Teaser" and Nishikata as "The Teased". Takagi giggled at being given the anonymous gift while Nishikata just grimaced.
  • Takagi wears her titular moniker of 'Teasing Master' with pride and even commissioned T-shirts with the Teasing Master label (including a shirt with a drawing of both her and Nishikata fighting in a wrestling ring) to be sold in their House. When Nishikata found out, she and next-door neighbour Yumina lied that Mr. Mxyzptlk had staged the publicity stunt as a malicious prank on them both. Nishikata stormed into Dressed for Divinity to confront Rarity for 'conspiring' with Mxyzptlk. It turned out all of them were in on the jokenote  and as always, everyone in the store laughed at him. Here's the aftermath:
Takagi: I just wanted to see how much you love me. And guess what? You passed, Nishikata.
Nishikata: Yokatta. So now, you're going to stop this whole 'selling shirts' thing right?
    Takagi: HA HA HA—No.
  • Nishikata's first birthday party in the Pantheon was organized jointly by Keiichi Maebara (see below) and Pinkie Pie with some support from Fluttershy. Fluttershy became friends with Takagi after both teamed up to save a stray cat that was stuck in a really high pine tree in the House of Nature. Both ponies remind Takagi and Nishikata of their classmates Mina Hibino and Yukari Amakawa, probably contributing to the fact that Nishikata loved the party. In fact, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy are reportedly planning for their wedding anniversary which they promise will be a lot more 'pizzazy' than Nishikata's party.
  • Exclusive to Takagi:
    • Nothing seems to faze her. At least on the surface anyway. For all of her teasing, she is easily reduced to a Smitten Teenage Girl only when Nishikata is out of sight, thanks to an excellent Poker Face. To even blush and squirm in his presence would indicate losing to him in a challenge, something she doesn't want at all. This demeanour has carried over to the Pantheon, and she's repeatedly voiced that she's not really bothered about the fact that she's fictional and comes from a rom-com centered around her relationship with Nishikata. The same goes for her large Forehead of Doom which she's even less concerned about (she sympathizes with deities who have them though).
Takagi: Besides, to everyone except Nishikata my crush wasn't really a secret, was it?
    • Her first friend in the Pantheon was Mion Sonozaki, who she met at a manga convention accompanying Nishikata in the House of Craft (she was there as the GUAG Lol Rangers were being paid to help out). Both bonded over their love of teasing their friends (especially Keiichi), though Mion concedes that Takagi is much better at it than she is. Mion introduced her to her twin sister Shion and their friends Satoko, teasing in their own ways. It was at this convention that Takagi would become their eighth member, Brown Ranger. Takagi mostly treats it as a club rather than a fighting force since she's busy being taking care of Chi. However, she's made it abundantly clear that she despises the GUAE on principle, especially Yuuki Terumi and the Trollkaiger.
    • Takagi knows her crush/husband so well that at one point or another, she's used his own interests and pet peeves to tease him. Her teasing isn't at all malicious in nature, at most only getting Nishikata in trouble with Tanabe-sensei, and she really hates those who insult or prank people for corrupt or duplicitous purposes especially when they know it genuinely hurts the victim. Some in the Pantheon who don't know better seem to miss the fact that it's teasing, especially bully hunters like Naughty Bear and Jimmy Hopkins. Both gave her a good scare before realizing that Nishikata liked being teased by her and apologized for their behaviour.
    • While she doesn't specialize in anything extraordinary, she does have skills as a housewife and enjoys visiting families like the Simpsons, the Wattersons and the Flintstones for amusing conversations or a nice cup of bancha tea. The one time she took care of Peni Parker's temple while she was out in the House of Technology gave her some experience in fixing things, when she happened to be passing by. Peni appeared to be late for something there and just threw her temple keys at Takagi in desperation. She just shrugged and sat inside the room housing her SP//dr armor and even wiped some grease stains off because of 'itchy fingers'. Peni apologized on her return and both have become friends since because of the happy accident. First-voice-impression apparently had nothing to do with it, because both were speaking English to each other.
    • Some think Takagi has a bad relationship with her mother. She just tells those people to stop over-analyzing one of twenty-four episodes of her anime and get on with their lives.
  • Exclusive to Nishikata:
    • A Determinator because of his ambitions to one-up Takaginote , Nishikata does push-ups for every time Takagi successfully teases him. This eventually made him seriously ripped and many have commented on the irony that he's now a Chick Magnet because of his now wife's efforts. Regardless, he also serves as a gym instructor in the Elysium Academy where his wife frequently visits, much to his chagrin and his class's delight.
    • Friends with Mion and Shion's frequent target of abuse Keiichi Maebara. Keiichi is prone to putting the easily flustered Nishikata into intense social situations whether he likes it or not, like his first birthday party in the Pantheon held in a budget room in the House of Celebration. Funnily enough, Nishikata made his first friends there, most of them sharing his voice actor. Keiichi invited them personally just so Nishikata would notice their voices, knowing that otherwise he would only befriend ordinary deities. Keiicji and Mion Hooked Up Afterwrds.
    • Frequently has brushes with Gohan in the House of School staffroom since he's an apprentice scholar there. Like with Chi-Chi and Goku, Nishikata is awed at how normally Videl treats her marriage to one of the most powerful beings in the world and at how Gohan is different intellectually from his father. If Nishikata is with Gohan, they can be seen splurging on miso ramen at the stall around the corner.
    • When he was a teenager, he struggled to look mature in front of Takagi to ward her off from teasing him, but it didn't take, since he can't stand coffee. He still can't stand it as an adult but makes semi-regular trips to other coffee shops in the Pantheon to find one that won't make him gag. Kanji Tatsumi became allies with him at one of these shops, both bonding after discovering they had troubles with suppressing feminine interests, since Nishikata is a huge fan of a romance series titled "100% Unrequited Love".
    • Is easily annoyed or flustered by a lot of things, from being teased about his relationship with Takagi or any of his eccentricities, with many enjoying the way he blushes when embarrassed. Mr. Mxyzptlk was in on the whole 'publicity stunt' and the Indie Gaming Brotherhood's unwanted sixth ranger the Goose once pecked him to oblivion during a remedial gym session in the Academy.
    • Some have asked if Nishikata's ever been in an Unwanted Harem off-screen, what with his class's most attractive girl being attracted to him and all. Nishikata has retorted with a negative on that one, and was very vocal about not wanting several girls to be in a relationship with him at once. This attracted the attention of one Issei Hyodo who openly mocked Nishikata for his views. He later admitted that he didn't actually hate Nishikata for it, but when he heard the news he happened to be in a rotten mood. He would later take Nishikata to see Rias and his harem of girlfriends. Since then the two have been buddies for reasons largely unknown, owing to the fact that their spat was highly publicized.

Takagi: Your expression is priceless.

Nishikata: ...

Takagi: Moreover, you acted exactly how you thought you would. That's why I won't stop teasing you, Nishikata.

Nishikata: Just wait! Someday I'm gonna get you for sure...!!

Takagi: I'll be looking forward to it!

Speaking of Darkwing Duck, could Steelbeak, one of the agents of FOWL, get Cocky Rooster? What do you think?
