Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Persona Purge, Part 5

Still in progress, but we're getting there.

Recap

  • The TV World is not coming back.
  • Purge the Pantheonic Personas of all non-canon Persona-users.
  • Remove the Metaverse in all capacities to avoid temptation to do a 2.0 of this mess. This includes it being Yaldabaoth's domain.
  • I'm not touching the Phantom Thieves profile in case of any rework that will include Violet, Sophie, and Wolf.

I'd like to ask for a TV World-esque location that is in the Pantheon (that is not the TV World, of course), at least in regards to being able to see visions that deconstruct a character or give dark warnings, like that cavern in Dagobah that Luke Skywalker went to.

Worry not, it's just for one interaction (namely to substitute Ryotaro Dojima's Shadow confrontation as his relationship with Tohru Adachi is put into question) and no more.

[up] Hmm. I don't know any places, but Nyarlathotep can summon shadow selves.

Also, here's the new version of Rumble's profile.

Rumble McSkirmish, God of Constantly Moving Sprites (Humble McSkirmish)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rumble_mcskirmish_6.png
  • Lesser God.
  • Symbol: The Fight Fighters arcade cabinet.
  • Theme Song: Fight Fighters Final Battle
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Game character brought to life, Constantly moving even when idle, Only sees people as 'good guys' or 'bad guys', Completely zealous and violent in his search for justice, Seek revenge for his father
  • Domains: Fighting, Game, Anger, Revenge
  • Heralds: The rest of the Fight Fighters characters.
  • Allies: Dipper and Mabel Pines, Stanley "Stan" Pines, Pacifica Pines, Chiaki Nanami, The Crimson Chin, Meteora Österreich, Copen
  • Rivals: All of the Street Fighter deities, especially Ryu
  • Enemies: Bill Cipher, M. Bison, Turbo, White Face, Zingo, Altair, The Sumeragi Swordsmen, Zonda and the Seven
  • Special Relationship with: .GIFfany
  • Opposes: Sagat, Wreck-It Ralph
  • One day, amongst the many new arrivals in the huge collection of arcade machines in the Hall of Gaming was an old Fighting Game known as Fight Fighters. Naturally, as an amateur of every video game, the AI version of Chiaki Nanami quickly tried out the new game, only to grew curious when she noticed an odd code scribbled on it. She promptly entered it, which caused Rumble McSkirmish, the game's main character, to suddenly materialize in the real world and ask her where the strongest fighters were. Without thinking much about it, Chiaki pointed him towards the House of Combat, which the overeager fighter promptly rushed towards to challenge anyone he came across. Naturally, the commotion brought him a lot of attention, leading to the fighter being brought to the Court of the Gods. There, it was noticed that he kept bouncing up and down even when just standing around and when questioned, he answered that he can't stop himself from doing so. And so, it was decided that he would be granted a place in the Pantheon as the representative of constantly moving sprites.
  • As it turned out, Rumble and the arcade machine itself both originated from Gravity Falls, where the nature of the magic cheat code was once discovered by Dipper Pines, who tried to manipulate the game character to scare off the rival for his crush's attention. This eventually caused his simplistic mindset to cast Dipper as the villain and beat the crap out of him before going back to his game. Yet the two reconciled during the crisis of Weirdmaggedon caused by Bill Cipher, which caused Rumble to realize that his might alone couldn't defeat some things. He was part of La Résistance against Bill's mad rules along with the other good-aligned people from the town, and so gladly fight alongside them again in the pantheon to oppose the machinations of the all-seeing triangle.
  • His 'temple' is the cabinet for the Fight Fighters game, where he spends his time fighting the other characters when someone plays it. Thanks to the inherent magic of the Pantheon, he doesn't need the magic code to manifest in the real world, much like how it was during Weirdmaggedon. He mostly comes out to pick fights with strong opponents, and seems to be fixated on punishing 'bad guys', especially those who killed fathers. Several of the martial artists were the deities from the Street Fighter universe, as he shares many familiarities with them, especially Ryu, who he sees as a Worthy Opponent. The feeling is mostly similar, though the latter find it a pity that his mastery of martial arts is diminished by his overzealous behavior. One can also summon other fighters from the cabinets who serve as Rumble's heralds.
    • On the other hand, he despises M. Bison as the tyrannical leader of Shadoloo reminds him strongly of his archnemesis Dr. Karate, and it's certainly wasn't helped by him learning that the latter actually killed Chun-Li's father. This animosity extended to Sagat after he learned about his murder of Dan Hibiki's father. Though the Mua Thai practitioner has much changed since those days, Rumble's Black-and-White view of the world prevents him from realizing that and he still treats him like a pure villain. The scarred fighter only sighed at that, yet accepted this as a consequence of his past actions.
  • Upon hearing of his ascension, his fellow living game character known as .GIFfany immediately began to jump along numerous electronic devices to go straight for Rumble's temple. This initially scared some gods as they were especially worried at what the unstable yandere had in mind for him. And yet when a number of them rushed to investigate, they were surprised to see her and Rumble fighting and flirting with each other at the same time. It happened that after .GIFfany found herself trapped in an arcade, she had struck up a relationship with him, and was eager to rekindle it in the Pantheon. While it worried some at first, it's now generally accepted as it seems to be a stabilizing influence for her and they're happy together, even if Rumble apparently has commitment issues.
  • Despite the slight chaos their first meeting caused, Chiaki still thinks of her fellow game character as a friend and often comes to play his game, along with her human counterparts. Their extensive knowledge of how video game universes work even helps them to make sure he doesn't cause too much mayhem when he gets out by speaking to him in terms that are relevant to his Fighting Game-based context. However, Rumble's meetings with other game characters have been... rocky.
    • Wreck-It Ralph, upon hearing about a new character living in an arcade game ascending, went over to Fighting Fighters to meet Rumble. However, things quickly went south when the big guy mentioned that he served as the villain of his game of origin, prompting the fighting game character to try to beat him up. Thankfully, Ralph managed to get away without a game over, but any attempts to explain that he was only a Punch-Clock Villain fell on deaf ears, as Rumble has no 'off-clock' mode unlike most of the inhabitants of Litwick's Arcade. Due to this, the other deities coming from it tend to avoid him. However, Fix-It Felix Jr. did warn him about Turbo, and upon hearing of the latter's game-hijacking way, Rumble swore he would oppose such a great evil if he ever saw him anywhere near the House of Gaming.
    • He has been using the Pantheon's arcade connection to cyberspace to travel around it, searching other games for potential challenges. One of his stops was Pony Island, but he was unable to do anything in it as he's much too simple of a guy to understand puzzle games, especially one as shoddily programmed as it. His thick head ended up angering Lucifer, who just booted him out after he kept trying to wreck anything he came across. Then, he entered White Face's game where he promptly answered the latter's desire to play with a challenge. This went to hell very quickly, as Rumble's strength couldn't protect him against the much more powerful entity killing him over and over again. By the end, he was just shouting for someone to get him out of here, which thankfully came in the form of the GUAG White Hats. Ever since he was freed, Rumble has been avoiding his former tormentor like the pest, humbled by someone he couldn't defeat, much like what happened with Bill Cipher.
  • Besides people from video games, Rumble also has been getting acquainted with other people who were fictional characters brought to life. One of his friendliest meetings was with the Crimson Chin, as the superhero comes from a world of pure Black-and-White Morality that the fighter can easily understand, and so the two has teamed up from time to time to fight evil. While he and Xingo both shares the fault of being unable to understand that the real world doesn't work like their works of origin, the fox's prank-loving nature mean he's much more liable to mess with Rumble than trying to befriend him, and he, in turn, responded by thinking of the cartoon star as an evildoer and trying to beat him up.
    • One person who did come from a game was Meteora Österreich, who volunteered to explain to Rumble about how the Pantheon worked. Ever since then, the fighter has been seeing her as the go-to person for plot exposition and often goes to ask her for guidance when he's not sure where to go. She doesn't really mind and is more surprised by the fact that Rumble doesn't really care that he's fictional and has no interest in knowing who his Creator is. Upon hearing about the atrocious deeds of Altair and the fact that she went completely unpunished for them, he swore that he would destroy her, not giving a care at all about her backstory.
  • On his search to punish those who killed other people's father, he ended up learning of Copen, and how he began a crusade against the superpowered people known as Adepts due to the death of his father, which he believes was murdered by Sumeragi due to being outspoken on the threat of Adept-kind and to steal his research. Rumble burst into tears upon hearing this and immediately went over to the Adept Slayer to propose his help on his quest, fully buying into the idea that all Adepts are evil monsters. While Copen was baffled at first by the offer, especially since Rumble is a supernatural creature himself, he wasn't one to look at a gift horse in the mouth and accepted the assistance.
    • Naturally, this alliance has caused him to become a staunch opponent of Copen's enemy, including the Sumeragi Swordsmen and Zonda along with the Seven. Of the latter group, Teseo is especially interested in Rumble as his nature as a game character brought to life is reminiscent of his own power to turn physical objects into data and vice-versa. Ironically, this has proven to be a boon for the fighting game character, as he can just turn physical again if the Adept turns him into data. Though in response to that happening the first time, Teseo decided to just summon other Fighting Fighters characters to combat him.

Added links to the You Look Familiar explanations on this profile. I think I am done now, but feel free to give me a few more suggestions if you think I need some more interactions.

As for Rumble, I might add an interaction with Fixit Felix Jr., as he would probably have to fix the damage from Rumbles, constant fights.

Dr. René Emile Belloq, the God Whose Head Exploded (René Belloq, Bellosh [by Sallah])

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/belloq.jpg
  • New House: Manners of Death
  • [tup]s:
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: A hand grabbing a golden coin
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Your Head Asplode, Affably Evil, Evil Counterpart, French Jerk, Shadow Archetype, Not So Different
  • Domains: Archeology, Intelligence
  • Allies: Apophis, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Major Toht, Scarecrow
  • Current Employers: The GUAE, Flintheart Glomgold
  • Rival: Indiana Jones
  • Enemies: Captain Picard, Lara Croft, Nathan Drake, Wario, Gimli, Link, The Mighty Morphing Power Rangers, Mike Powell, Karl Fairburne, Scrooge McDuck
  • Superiors: George Lucas, Steven Spielberg
  • Fears: YHVH, the Sniper, Beelzebub, Darryl Revok
  • Interested in: Pokémon
  • Annoyed By: Michael Bay, Adenoid Hynkel, Various expys of Indiana Jones
  • Dr. René Belloq is one of the most cunning and ruthless so called “archeologists” in the Pantheon and Indiana Jones’ rival. He is highly manipulative and usually takes advantage of others to do his dirty work rather than do the heavy lifting himself. Whether it’s stealing his rival Indiana Jones’ work or taking advantage of dictatorial regimes, he is a true threat to anyone unwise (or unfortunate) to have dealings with him.
    • However, it’s not his clever mind games or corrupt archeological exploits that got him into the Pantheon, it’s the fact that his head messily exploded when he tried to use the power of the Lost Ark. He is not happy about that and doesn’t appreciate others pointing it out.

  • He is positively terrified of YHVH considering that only a fragment of YHVH’s power caused his infamous head explosion. In fact, he’s terrified of the house of religion and faith in general. He’s actually started refusing to take jobs related to artifacts of any religion, which naturally makes finding work harder, but it’s best to be safe in his opinion.
  • He is also understandably afraid of other head-explosion causing gods.
    • He is terrified of the Scanner Darryl Revok known for causing violent head explosions using his telekinetic powers. Revok doesn’t particularly hate him any more than he hates most non-scanners though, and has thus far not gone after him specifically. To make sure he doesn’t start though, Belloq has tried to stay away from his temple whenever possible.
    • He is also afraid of the Sniper, considering he specializes in headshot kills. Sniper doesn’t have any beef with him though, despite his similarities to the Spy.
  • After ascending, he meet up with his old colleague Major Toht to discuss what exactly went wrong with the Lost Ark incident. Toht is convinced that it was somehow rigged to do that when opened while Belloq thinks they somehow did the ritual wrong. They eventually decided that it didn’t matter and started brainstorming a plot to get revenge on Indy. They eventually decided that they needed to exploit his fears to defeat him and teamed up with the self declared “Pantheonic Fearmaster” Scarecrow to find his worst fears. Scarecrow eventually found out that his worst fear was snakes using his “fear toxin”. They eventually decided that they needed to ally themselves with a snake deity. So in a misguided attempt to gain more power and get revenge on Indiana, they decided to ally themselves with the Ancient Egyptian serpent demon Apophis. Belloq was initially reluctant to try to use the power of another religious figure, but he was pressured into it by the other two. Apophis doesn’t think very highly of the trio, but has agreed to lend them a small amount of power in exchange for some souls to eat. In order get those souls, The group has had to go to the various domains of the Pantheon to ambush unsuspecting mortals and use a special device to send them to Apophis’ realm. Their mistake was going to the dominion of Hyrule while Link was also visiting. As they attempted to ambush the hero, Link used his quick reflexes to knock the device out Toht’s hands and destroyed it with an arrow shot. After a short battle, the group retreated and are currently in the process of rebuilding the device.
  • He resents the fact that there are so many expys of Indy in the Pantheon. It’s just another unpleasant reminder of his worst defeat that he can’t seem to distance himself from. Sometimes he has been known to attempt to write to the Court of the Gods to convince them to stop letting anyone who even vaguely resembles him from entering the Pantheon. So far, these efforts have been completely fruitless.
  • He is currently employed by the GUAE, as they don’t have any gods that specialize in archaeology and Belloq needed a job. Right now he is mainly reading up on the histories of the various locations in the Pantheon.
  • As a side job, he also works for Flintheart Glomgold. He was surprised to see that he was a duck (a duck that wore human clothing and spoke in a rather unnatural sounding Scottish accent for that matter), but he pays in real money, so he doesn’t ask too many questions. Glomgold often rants about his obsession with being the “Richest Duck in the Pantheon” and/or defeating his rival Scrooge Mcduck to him and sends him to find various artifacts in the area surrounding the city of Duckburg. Belloq sees him as an idiot, but a useful idiot that provides a good source of money none the less.
    • While attempting to find one of these artifacts once, he encountered Mcduck looking for the same thing. A fight between the two treasure hunters started, which ended badly for Belloq, as he had badly underestimated Mcduck’s fighting skills. When he went back to Glomgold’s Temple empty handed, the duck was furious at him for his falure, but decided not to fire him as he had been quite successful up to that point.
  • Captain Picard is disgusted by him for turning an old hobby of his into a morally wrong way to make profit. He thinks he is a relic of a time when humans were fixated on money that should stay in the past. Not helping matters is that they work for opposite alliances that have been enemies since the beginning.
  • He also has developed an interest in Pokémon after an archeological dig in the Pokemon World. After all the bounty hunting misadventures, he is trying to acquire one as a bodyguard, without much luck so far. He is especially interested in Golurk both as an archeological curiosity and a bodyguard. Fortunately, Golurk is not in the Pantheon. Yet.
  • Indiana Jones isn’t the only Adventure Archeologist in the Pantheon that have made enemies of Belloq. Both Nathan Drake and Lara Croft have had nasty encounters with him as well.

    • Drake had a shootout with him at some point over a Macguffin of some kind in The Great Treasury that ended with both of them badly injured and an interloper named Wario stealing the prize. The two have been enemies to this day.
    • Croft meanwhile was exiting a tomb she had just raided when she exited only to find herself held at gunpoint by Belloq. She managed to fool him into thinking that most of the treasure was already taken and that she had found nothing but a few antique coins. Naturally, as soon as he was distracted by them, she gave he a swift kick in the jaw and ran off victoriously. That trick may have worked on Indiana Jones twice, but Belloq did have backup both times while this time he was both alone, and up against a different person.
  • He also dislikes Gimli as the dwarf resembles Sallah, one of Indiana Jones’ allies that gave him trouble during the Lost Ark excavation. Gimli could not care less about it, as the two almost never cross paths. That doesn’t stop Belloq from resenting him though.
  • Bombastic film director Michael Bay once asked him to appear in a movie because he was the god of exploding heads. He refused obviously. Bay still asks him to reconsider occasionally, but has had no luck so far.
  • One of his few actual friends in the the Pantheon is Grand Admiral Thrawn of the Galactic Empire. They both share a fascination with archaeology and have a habit of victory through out planning opponents. They often can be found discussing plans to acquire (through means both legitimate and shady) various artifacts from throughout the Pantheon to add to a collection they have hidden somewhere in the Pantheon.
  • The original Power Rangers are on bad terms with him as well. Not only are they opposed to his archeological practices, but he also reminds them of an old enemy of theirs.
  • He was eventually captured alive during a raid on a GUAE excavation project by 2 soldiers working for the OSS named Mike Powell and Karl Fairburne seeking to gain information on his collaboration with the Nazis. He told them the truth of what happened, but phrased it as a Sarcastic Confession. Naturally, they didn’t believe him so he told them a completely made up story about recovering an ancient sword with historical significance that Hitler thought would make a good mantelpiece decoration. Realizing that they wouldn’t get much useful information out of him, the operatives just sent him to a medium security prison nearby, which was promptly recaptured by GUAE forces anyways.
  • Belloq denies any claims that he accidentally ate a fly a few hours prior to his original death. Trolls in the Pantheon still like to insult him about it though and for what it’s worth, he does seem to be uneasy about the demonic Lord Of The Flies Beelzebub.
  • He strongly dislikes time traveling gods, as they threaten to make his profession obsolete. He doesn’t act on it though, as he knows he’s not nearly powerful enough to realistically fight a time traveler, even an incompetent one, much less a skilled one.
  • One villain he refuses to work with is the dictator of Tomania Adenoid Hynkel. Hynkel’s sheer stupidity would be enough on its own, but it’s made worse because he only speaks in bizarre gibberish. The foolish fascist tried to hire him to get him something called the Gildesten Macoughiner, but was almost immediately refused. Belloq has tried to stay at least 5 miles away from Tomania ever since.

Another treasure hunter he might be enemies with could be Wario, who like Scrooge is an adventurer with standards to his actions and how far they'll go when he's not picking the Villain or Jerkass Ball. Deemo, God of Lonely Piano Pieces (Hans)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/deemo_char_1_2.png
His true form(SPOILERS)
  • Potential House: Music/Musical Compositions
  • Rank: Lesser God /Demigod as Hans
  • Symbol: A tree growing out of a piano
  • Theme Song: Untitled2
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: An older brother figure with a protective side, Benevolent despite his creepy looks, Flower Motifs, Losing his life to save his loved ones, Lacking a mouth and never speaking, Sharp-Dressed Man, unsettlingly long arms and fingers
  • Domains: Piano, Otherness, Family, Death
  • Herald: The Little Girl, The Masked Lady both being his younger sister, Alice
  • High Priest: Miki Kaoru
  • Allies: Frisk, Yusuke Urameshi, The Elite Beat Agents, Kousei Arima
  • Fears: The Mad Piano, The Oni
  • Odd Friendship: PaRappa
  • Pities: Hal, Kaban
  • Opposes: The Slender Man
  • Deemo is a mysterious, shadowy figure who lived in a castle, with his only company being a reclusive girl in a white mask, and his piano. That all changed one fateful day, when an amnesiac young girl fell from a window in the castle's ceiling, and into Deemo's arms. As Deemo continued to play his piano, a sprout began to grow out the top, eventually growing into a large tree, that would eventually grow enough that the girl could reach the window, and return to wherever she came from. However, the closer the two come to their goal, the closer they come to an unfortunate truth...
  • After the Girl made it back to the other side of the window, it was believed that Deemo, who turned out to be the girl's recently deceased older brother Hans, had disappeared from existence forever, as his sister Alice had returned to the land of the living. However, it appears that he instead ended up here in the Pantheon. While saddened at the fact that he cannot see his sister anymore, he's happy that she can now at least move on with her own life, and he hopes that maybe she can make it to the Pantheon one day.
  • One day, Deemo encountered a small child who resembled his sister and was concerned that they had followed him to the Pantheon. Upon approaching them, he instead ended up face to face with Frisk. As Frisk has made friends with all manner of different monsters, the two hit it off quite well. Deemo was intrigued when he learned that Frisk's first meeting with monsters began after they fell into the Underground, not too dissimilar to how Deemo first met the Girl, and is interested in meeting the other monsters from the Underground.
  • On account of them both being tall, creepy Sharp Dressed Men, Deemo sometimes gets mistaken for The Slender Man. Given that Slendy is commonly believed to be a Child Eater, he doesn't particularly appreciate this comparison, especially since this means that his sister could be a potential target. Given Slender Man's elusive nature, it is unknown if the two have ever met, or if he shares this sentiment.
  • Deemo managed to befriend Yusuke Urameshi thanks to an unfortunate experience they both share: having lost their lives to save a child from an oncoming vehicle. The Spirit Detective has offered to introduce Deemo to his allies from the spirit world, and possibly convince them to help Deemo get his life back. While Deemo was tempted by the chance to see his sister again, so far he has not taken Urameshi up on this offer.
  • Upon first glance, one might think that Deemo wouldn't exactly gel with the Elite Beat Agents, due to his calming, serene piano pieces contrasting with their usual bombastic, rock heavy preferences. However, both sides are Not So Different, as the EBA do occasionally call for slower, more sentimental pieces, most famously, You're The Inspiration. Likewise, Deemo's song catalog does include some songs that are more intense than his usual, even implementing techno elements on occasion. As a result, Deemo sometimes joins forces with the agents, providing backup piano for their performances.
  • The other members of the house have warned Deemo to stay far away from the Mad Piano. Fortunately, the piano in Deemo's temple looks too different, so there's no chance of the Mad Piano disguising itself as that one. Unfortunately, this hasn't stopped Trollkaiger from sending the piano after him regardless, and Deemo has suffered his fair share of Jump Scares as a result. As such, he is one of the more prominent supporters for the piano's removal from the Pantheon.
  • He's afraid of The Ao Oni, after an incident in which the creature ambushed him in his temple. Deemo had returned to his temple, only to discover a mysterious red bloodstain on the keys of his piano. After using a handkerchief to wipe the stain away, he found a code on the keys underneath that he couldn't understand. He barely had enough time to turn around before the Oni was right in front of him. Deemo barely remembers anything from this encounter, but will certainly never be able forget the creature's face.
  • The Pantheon is home to a handful of young girls afflicted with memory loss at one point in their lives, including the likes of Hal and Kaban. Having watched the Girl go through this in the past, Deemo immediately sympathized with their positions.
  • Upon hearing of the presence of another pianist over in the house of Couple Archetypes, Deemo decided to check the house out to introduce himself. There, he met one Kousei Arima. While Arima does have a bit of a complicated history with the piano, Deemo was able to relate to and understand his position. The two were able to hit it off, and practice together sometimes. However, Arima occasionally tries to pawn his job as Kaori Miyazono's stage partner off to Deemo. She's, rather... vocal about her disapproval of this setup.
  • Rumors are circulating that Deemo was sighted deep underground beneath a train station. While it's too early to confirm, they appear to be a separate entity from the one in the Pantheon. This Deemo is less dark-looking, and is seemingly made of water. Our Deemo has yet to comment on this development.

[up] Um, if it's about heavy spoilers then you either play danganronpa, watch a lp or just not include the text at all because you will have to get spoiled anyway to make sense of the interaction.

There are a lot of spoiler characters in the pantheon, usually if the character is too spoilery we usually dont bother with spoiler tags so better get used to that.

  • Potential House: Narrative Settings

  • Symbol: A TV Remote
  • Theme Song: Stay Tuned - Opening Theme
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Nuclear Family, Relationship That Grew Sour Due to Roy's TV Addiction But Got Better, Deadpan Snarkers, Became Cartoony In Animated Segments, Helen Being Less Composed Compared To Roy
  • Domains: Television, Escaping, Families, Narratives
  • Heralds: Their two children, Darryl and Diane Knable
  • High Priest: Rez
  • Allies: Gex, Roger Rabbit, Eddie Valiant, Jerry, Timmy Turner, Crimson Chin, Meteora Österreich, Homer and Marge Simpson, Mickey Mouse, the GUAG White Hats, The Investigation Team
  • Odd Friendship with (Roy only): Zorro, Puss In Boots
  • Respects: The ascended wrestling deities
  • Avoids: Lex the Bookworm, Altair, Xingo
  • Enemies: The Hall of Demons as well as other ascended devils in the Pantheon, Mr. Burns, Judge Doom, The Grand United Alliance of Machines
  • Due to a seemingly innocent deal between a couch potato and a convincing salesman, Roy Knable would unknowningly set up a dangerous deal with the demonic company known as Hell Vision, trapping him and his wife Helen into the new TV's exclusive 666 channels, where they both had to survive for 24 hours or else they'd lose their souls to the devil.
  • On one uneventful night, the parents would go to sleep, only to reawaken in a whole new place that was completely unfamiliar to them. Checking their technology to make sure they didn't use any suspicious devices, and checking themselves to see if they were turned into cartoons again, the two Knables would venture out to be greeted by several deities, who had decided that based on their adventures as mortals, that they were to be ascended under the trope of Trapped in TV Land. Unlike a majority of deities who came into the Pantheon, both Roy and Helen wanted out, not wanting to get involved in more kinds of perils, much as many sane men and women would have chosen at first. Even learning of the resurrection-based immortality and that the Pantheon wasn't completely run by demons convinced them to stay. Though, life at home was uneventful for them after their experiences within the TV shows, so the two parents eventually accepted on the condition that their children could stay with them as heralds, which was an accepted request.
Roy: You know, I may still have some problems keeping my eyes away from the TV, but wasting my life in some place dedicated to pointing out common elements in televised media? Not even I'd do that!
Helen: Well, I'm glad to see that even you have standards.
  • The both of them can be seen working in the House of Profession, doing work as they did back in their own mortal lives, with Roy also being part of the Elysium Academy to train other learning deities to fence. They'd rather not get involved in all of the crazier occurrences within the Pantheon, let alone the Forever War between various alliances in the Pantheon. Figuring that they'll still be pulled in conflicts from time to time, the Knables decided that they have no reason to look for more trouble anyways. As such, they get along with other deities that simply want to continue a somewhat normal life in the Pantheon.
  • The two Knables got along with Gex, a talking lizard who also travelled through TV worlds just as they did, despite Gex being a talking lizard. The Knables are impressed that Gex has made entering and surviving nasty television shows a profession for himself, which even Roy, a fellow TV addict, would be hesistant to do. Gex reassured them that the job simply wasn't for everyone, and that their respect for Gex was mutual, with their experiences with Hell Vision being similar to Gex's trips in the Media Dimension. However, Gex noticed something rather perilous with their high priest, who the Knables were completely unaware of, Gex's archnemesis Rez, known for trapping others within the Media Dimension, and someone who they would all oppose for such reasons, hoping that Rez doesn't find another way to enter the Pantheon.
  • Another TV lover they're friends with is Timmy Turner, who is especially a big fan of the Crimson Chin, a superhero that managed to be brought into the world outside of television with use of his fairies' wishes. Being a genuinely heroic guy, the Knables can consider him a good guy to be around. They're a little unsure of what to think about Timmy's sometimes problematic use of wishes, but they do have some pity on how his parents are negligent of their son at times, hoping they never become anything like them either. There was also Eustace Bagge who also likes to watch television, but they just consider him an annoying Cranky Neighbor for the most part.
  • Having been turned into cartoon characters for a bit while trapped in TV, they've given respect towards Eddie and Roger Rabbit who are experienced with interactions between real people and other toons themselves. While they don't ever plan to become toons again, they're more than wary enough of Judge Doom who could certainly threaten to kill them with The Dip should they be forced to become toons again. Having been cartoon mice in particular, they also get along with Jerry, and while Tom reminds them of the Robo-Cat that tried to catch them before, their views on him are neutral.
  • During their mishaps with Hell Vision's killer channels, they were forced to fight against Hell Vision's own wrestlers, The Gorgons, for their survival. While Roy knew about how wrestling matches are generally staged, this only got Roy in trouble as he got beaten up by Mr. Gorgon. Ever since the Knables got past the encounter (mostly Helen's efforts), they both have gotten a newfound respect of all the wrestling deities in the Pantheon, understanding their work a little better. The wrestling deities are a bit impressed (and intimidated) by how savagely Helen made quick work out of the Gorgons once Mrs. Gorgon decided to rip out a bit of her hair. She may still be a Quasideity, but they know better than to be on the other end of her rage.
  • Welcomed in the House of Family for getting past a situation that threatened to tear it apart, as mundane as the Knables in relation to many deities in the Pantheon. The Knable parents also found themselves being rather relatable to the Simpson parents, both being parts of similarly sized families, though the latter family finds themselves more used to chaotic situations than the former. Helen and Marge found good friends in each other to talk to, and Roy found good buddies in Homer for their mutual love of donuts. Both Roy and Homer also had a mutual interest in wanting to be better for their family, both having their own needs to improve.
  • In their temple, which resembles their normal house, Roy has a fencing trophy, having been quite an experienced fencer himself. Soon enough, it would lead into meeting the famous Zorro who Roy recognized from all the TV he's watched. Somehow, there was a bet made between the two that led to them getting caught up in a fencing duel. While Zorro would end up winning the duel, Zorro would be surprised at how competent Roy was with the rapier, being a difficult opponent to triumph against. This would get Roy challenged by Puss in Boots later on, and the two managed to duel to a standstill for a few minutes, Roy being surprised he was fencing with an anthromorphic cat in the first place. Ending the fight early, Roy had managed to earn the respect of both fencers, though both note that his stamina is something that could be worked on.
  • The Knables found it ideal to ally with the GUAG White Hats, given the fact that they may end up being sucked into deadly television shows again. The White Hats being benevolent technological experts and hackers themselves who could help them escape such situations was ideal for them. Not only that, but the group reminded them of their son, Darryl, who also happened to have a knack for technology himself. They've considered having Darryl train under them for the sake of advancing his skills, but are worried about putting him into danger unnecessarily early.
  • They both ran into the deity holding the opposing trope to theirs, Xingo, once while heading back from doing their usual jobs. Wanting to show the two Knables his definition of fun, he decided to show them some of his best pranks, one of which involved turning them back into cartoon characters again. After a long chase involving explosive pies and sentient angry tumbleweeds, the two barely escaped Xingo's mischief with their lives, Roy knowing far better than to try to fight such a wacky character. Not wanting to see Xingo's face ever again, they decided to take some Brain Bleach to ensure they can't even invoke his appearance by mentioning him, but keeping a small flash card in their pocket to know how to deal with him just in case.
    • When it came to other fictional characters that entered into the real world, they get along with Meteora pretty well, but Altair is someone that they'd rather keep away from for their own sake.

[up] Viewtiful Joe frequently travel through movies, and Timmy Turner once also went on a journey through different television programs.

[down] ...now that I think about it, wouldn't it make more sense to have Garland and Chaos share a profile? Since their Time Paradox and Vicious Cycle are so tied together and they're literally the same person.

Even if Vengefulbale makes great points that will improve Belloq's next draft, will give a [tup] to him just to set the ball rolling.

No one responded to my repost of Kiley, so better go with the attempt at re-promotion. Even tried to think of knights, soldiers and the sort who could respond to Garland's background (best knight of the kingdom of Cornelia who gained respect through his power and skill, only to become corrupted by power).

Garland, God of the Vicious Cycle (Chaos, Nemesis, the Stalwart)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/garland_dissidia_arcade_2015.png
Cloud Strife, Squall Leonhart, Zidane Tribal, Tidus, Sora, Masou Kishin Heralds, [the Light Warriors, every princess in the House of Heirs
  • Complicated relationship: White Mage
  • Formerly Garland was only a member of the Pantheon by his existence to Chaos. However further review has noted Garland, while an extension of Chaos' paradox, has a legitimate claim to a throne separate from the God of Discord. The story goes that when Garland was about to die, the Four Fiends (Lich, Marilith, Kraken, and Tiamat) sent him to the past, where his hatred would merge with the four elements of the world to create the Fiends, who after restoring Garland to life (in the process turning him into the demon Chaos) would then be sent by him to the present, a Stable Time Loop that would allow Garland to live forever. This Vicious Cycle had seemingly continued without a clear end a countless number of times, until the Warriors of Light managed to break it by time traveling to defeat the Garland/Chaos of the past.
    • It is noted, however, that even if Lord Chaos and the demon that Garland becomes are different beings (Garland himself bestowed the 'Chaos' name upon the God of Discord noting the similarities to his own final form) to justify their presence as separate entities, the rules of Garland's existence still apply even though he is now his own deity. Should Chaos die, Garland will become the next Chaos and take the throne of the Temporal Paradox and create a new Garland to fill this position.
  • The only Houses Garland has ever been seen in are the Houses of Combat, Weapons, and Time and Space. In the House of Time and Space, he is on official duty, either to his own title or at Chaos' behest. Otherwise, he is indulging himself with one fight after another, seeing no other form of entertainment available. Of course resorting to the thing that led the Warriors of Light against him in the first place, kidnapping princesses, has crossed his mind - Bowser even became a friend, as this sort of abduction is his way of life! This then led Princess Peach to rally the other heiresses of her House to stand against Garland.
  • Garland's title owes to the Four Fiends, and thus they became his heralds. This instantly put him in the sights of the Masou Kishin quartet, as those are the same classical elements they run on, only employed by monsters.
  • He has occasionally proclaimed he would "knock down" his opponents when in particularly heated scraps. He has been mocked for this before, but ridiculers were quick to learn just what being "knocked down" would entail. And he's grown a Berserk Button to opponents who taunt him by singing "Tubthumping" - you might get knocked down, but will get up again, as he'll never gonna keep you down!
  • Given another Garland originated from the world of Final Fantasy IX, Zidane and Kuja prefer not to think that the old man who created them both might be inside that armor.
  • While Warrior of Light is his arch-nemesis, Garland also hates every Final Fantasy hero, and will always continue to fight them for nothing more than to enjoy himself. He also harbors a grudge against Cloud, as he was the first in the series to wield a huge sword and yet the spiky-haired blonde takes all the glory.
  • Is always willing to go along with the evil schemes of Mercurius, who also abuses time loops for his benefit, and Airy, who has similar experience with power crystals and time (though alternate timelines instead of staying in the same one).
  • Sora has never actually met Garland (the only Final Fantasy villain that crossed his way was Sephiroth), but instantly stands against someone with such lust for power. Doesn't help the villains of his series took an interest to Garland, who feel his elemental magic can be enhanced with Darknes - and Sora doesn't want to see what a Heartless or Nobody derived from Garland and Chaos can be.
  • After learning of a certain interpretation of his story where he was an Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain, Garland was at first angry, but decided that incorporating some of those Affably Evil traits might get people to support him - White Mage even can't fully stand against him because of the memories of the Garland she helped promote as a Fake Ultimate Hero! Still, he's still a fierce opposer of the Light Warriors, no matter if aside from Fighter they're borderline villains. Garland also became a partner of Sarda, whose Start of Darkness also involves time travel - although Sarda has some envy to how Garland became Chaos instead of having his body hijacked by him.

[up][up] It is bit weird. While Garland does become Chaos due to the Vicious Cycle thing, Chaos is also a completely separate character with his own motives and such, and the two of them have existed at the same time.

Dissidia Chaos is also not the Chaos from FF 1 as well due to the timeline shenanigans. Despite originating from said world. It’s all really weird.

Is Impel Down ready to go?

Impel Down, Divine Inescapable Prison (Underwater Prison, the Great Prison. Consists of Crimson Hell, Wild Beast Hell, Starvation Hell, Blazing Hell, Freezing Hell and then Eternal Hell)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/impel_down_ships.jpg
The entrance to Impel Down.
  • Votes: 2(Crimson Shark, Aleceone)
  • House: Establishments (House of Dominions)
  • Description: A multi-layered prison with 6 levels, the last undisclosed to the public
  • Symbol: A crowned emblem with wings on a black background
  • Theme Song: This
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral
  • Portfolio: The Alcatraz, Stylized After The Circles Of Hell from The Divine Comedy, Hellhole Prison, From Bad to Worse, Doesn't Frivolously Kill Its Prisoners
  • Domains: Prison, Torment, Despair, Hellish Fates, The Justice System
  • Sacred to: Magellan (former warden, current vice-warden), The Five Elder Stars (heads of the government Impel Down serves)
  • Unholy to: Everyone who's ever been locked up there, (notably Monkey D Luffy, Portgas D Ace, Crocodile and Donquixote Doflamingo), Al Capone, Dante Aligheri, Boris the Animal
  • The World Government has to deal with powerful criminals, pirates and other threats to both people and their status quo. For this, Impel Down was created. A vicious, near-inescapable prison with each deeper level being worse. Head by Hannyabal, and before him Magellan, each can expect a different kind of torture. The first layer is the Crimson Hell, with razor-sharp tree leaves stained with prisoner's blood, guards and blue gorillas chasing them. The second layer is the Wild Beast Hell, where dangerous beasts hunt the prisoners. The third layer is Starvation Hell, a desert where prisoners are at the edge of dehydration and starvation. The fourth layer is Blazing Hell, with the presence of a boiling blood pool. The fifth layer is Freezing Hell, a desolate frozen wasteland. And not known to the public is Eternal Hell, where the prisoners are forgotten and left to die of boredom.
  • Dreaded by the House of Crime, and more so that they are requesting resources from the pantheon. The more dangerous and animalistic members of the Monster halls are permitted under the warden's keen eyes to cause trouble for the criminals there in the Wild Beast Hell. At least, as long as they can control them. The SCP Foundation was impressed enough to consider it a temporary containment for their their deadlier SCPs if they're unable to use primary containment.. "Could" being the key word, as the Foundation considers themselves better and handling and containing dangerous entities. It's more a secondary containment than a replacement altogether. Still, they work better working together.
  • Impel Down's establishment in the pantheon has put the fear of God back into Al Capone. He went to the Alcatraz and that it's why he went nutsnote  and he was appalled that Impel Down "is like Alcatraz, but a thousand times worse!" The World Government doesn't find him guilty of crimes that'd send him there, but they aren't telling him that as they want to keep him on his best behavior if they and his criminal enterprise cross paths.
  • If it seems like a literal Hellhole Prison, that's because it kind of is. Impel Down was stylized off the Circles of Hell from The Divine Comedy. Dante, having traversed through the Inferno, recognized the similarities and was morbidly impressed for a second. Dis was initially amused at this apparent recreation of his unholy domain, but then shifted to irrational rage at the feeling of being plagiarized. It's especially hellish for those who can't swim; having seastone in its construction and being in the middle of the ocean means it's especially useful for holding Devil Fruit users.
  • The House of Justice was impressed by Impel Down, however how often it should be used by the pantheon was up for debate. While most imprisoned there were hardened and dangerous criminals, some believed it was too sadistic even towards them. This concerned was fueled by the fact the Hall of Tyrannical Figures thinking it can be used as an excuse to get rid of and punishment any political dissident. Horrifyingly Big Brother has plans of converting the entire area into one colossal Room 101. Regime Superman is more content to let Impel Down be, but he is still interested in the prison as it reminds him of The Trench; a fully underwater max security prison in his own universe. As it's in the Marianas Trench it's even more secure than Impel Down.
  • For all its ruthlessness Impel Down doesn't permit frivolous cruelty; Shillew got put in Level 6 because he killed prisoners for fun. To prevent the tyrants of the pantheon from abusing the system, the threshhold for how evil someone has to be to go there is EXCEPTIONALLY high. That said, the World Government ultimately has the say on who goes there and needs to get their seal of approval before capitulating to their prisoners. They didn't have any problem in the request to throw Cletus Kasady into Level 6; he more than earned an 11 lifetime prison service.
  • An agreement was made with the Men in Black that they can store Boris the Animal away, though for now they have a better chance containing the 1969 version rather than the 2012 version who broke out of a prison on the moon. During their containment of the psychopath, John Doe could be seen smirking off in the distance. Given he's the kind of scumbag who'd be sent there people asked why he was smirking. The Serial Killer simply stated he appreciates the Circles of Hell they use as an inspiration, and the apparent karmic punishment of those in there. In short, he thinks it's how a prison should work. Tellingly, he didn't find any irony in saying so.
  • Rumors started circulating that Nemesis is planning to break in, then out of Impel Down in order to completely ruin the whole thing out of boredom. Nemesis himself has denied those rumors by saying "I'm not an idiot". Later research revealed that the Joker started those rumors. This has led to people wanting Impel Down to hold the Joker as Arkham Asylum is a failure in containing anyone, but he just smirked by saying "Like that prison would contain me; the fans love me too much!" Unfortunately this wasn't a case of Tempting Fate as Gotham has stated they don't trust the World Government nearly enough to hold their criminals. Batman has yet to give his opinion.
  • The Underwater Prison prides itself on its security, however long ago prisoners managed to use a tunneling Devil Fruit to create a sub-level to serve as a haven for prisoners; Level 5.5: Newkama Land. The Okama Paradise is a place where all the okamas and prisoners can party and have a good time. They're making sure the only people who can know this are fellow criminals and the tropers reading this. It's another reason why the Joker doesn't fear Impel Down, but it's also a reason why sending him to Impel Down would probably end poorly; Newkama Land would likely reject giving him haven given his reputation and personality, which would just leave him to reveal Newkama Land out of spite and use the chaos as a springboard to tearing Impel Down apart. Worse, it's not out of the realms of plausibility he could pull that off.

I'm not really seeing a compelling argument for keeping Chaos and Garland separate. They may not be the same character but they are still closely associated.

Posting for feedback.

Col. Benjamin Cameron, God of Klansmen (Ben, Colonel Cameron, The Little Colonel)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/boancolbcameron.png
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: KKK imagery
  • Alignment: Lawful Evil (likely believes he's Chaotic Good)
  • Portfolio: The Klan, Villain Protagonist, Values Dissonance, Affably Evil, Noble Demon, Hot-Blooded
  • Domains: The Confederacy, Racism, Slavery, War
  • Heralds: Elsie Stoneman (his wife), many clanmates
  • Allies:
  • Enemies: Every black deity in the Pantheon
  • Complicated Relations: Scarlett O'Hara, Calvin Candie and Stephen
  • In the antebellum-era United States, two families were close friends: abolitionist Stonemans in the North, and plantation-owning Camerons in the South. The Civil War forced the families to fight each other, and the conflict ended the way everyone knows, with the North winning. Reconstruction began and the South was forced to change its ways by the North; most importantly, the abolition of slavery and black people getting rights. Ben Cameron, a decorated colonel admired both by his brothers-at-arms and Union soldiers for his bravery and honor, would not abide by these changes and so started an organization, the Ku Klux Klan, with the purpose of oppressing free black people and protecting his fellow white Southerners. This being a rather different era, Cameron got even the abolitionist Stonemans and other Northerners to side with his cause and ultimately succeeded in keeping black people oppressed. Needless to say, while he was hailed as a hero back then, the story comes across in a rather different tone now.
  • Cameron's ascension proved to be one of the most controversial events ever in the Pantheon, with several deities criticizing the Main House for "legitimizing" the KKK. Which doesn't matter to the neutral Main House, with its only concerns being that the beings that get ascended are competent at representing their chosen trope and that they have an interesting story. For better or worse, Cameron fits those bills, topped off by his work of origin being hugely influential on the medium of film. Cameron's own reaction at being ascended was to feel honored and gracefully accept it, in spite of the staggering number of deities booing him at his instatement ceremony. It got worse when he announced his organization (at least, his chapter) would be fully operational in the Pantheon to protect the hallowed place from those who would sully it, as he once protected his Southern home. He did not specify who he meant by "those who would sully it", but one can guess.
  • For obvious reasons, Cameron is a guy who is kind of strapped for reliable allies, as nowadays even the most evil deities would balk at the sort of virulent bigotry and segregationism that Cameron espouses. Even in his time, some people would find him too much. His fellow Southerner Scarlett O'Hara is someone who suffered greatly from the South losing the Civil War as her family was left impoverished. However, Scarlett has no interest whatsoever in Cameron's "just" cause, only caring to secure stability for herself, and her family next. Cameron is rather miffed that Scarlett has such selfish and small-minded motivations, but reckons she is worthy of some respect given how well she has done for herself, often on her lonesome, in the aftermath of a terrible war. So despite everything else, Cameron still sees Scarlett as a Southern sister and would protect her from her enemies.
  • The plantation- and slave-owner Calvin Candie, on the other hand, feels nothing but admiration for the KKK leader. Cameron, however, believes slave-owners should treat their slaves (at least those who know their place) with kindness and condescension, like a father who only uses the belt against his children when their behavior becomes intolerable; he thus looks at the sadistic Candie with no small amount of disdain, especially after learning about Candie's wrestling and prostitution rings, which he supplies with his slaves. Cameron also thinks he would be personally embarrassed if a slave of his became the true power behind his estate, which is the case with Candie's head slave Stephen. This only causes him to look at Candie with even more contempt, while somewhat admiring Stephen's competence and loyalty to the whites. Either way, Cameron can't really write off Candie, as he's one of the few deities to wholeheartedly support the KKK's cause, so Cameron has to tolerate him.

[up] The Slavers are, well, slavers, but I feel like Cameron would probably be horrified by their monstrous behavior. Aveline de Grandpré and Adéwalé are both black assassins who are dedicated to fighting the evil of slavery, so they're perfect enemies for him.

The Saint of Killers used to be a confederate soldier before his death, but he doesn't care at all about the cause anymore, if he ever did. John Carter was also a Confederate veteran before he got to Barsoom, but he never shows any racism and doesn't seem to care much about the cause either.

[up][up] The Warhammer Dark Elves are known for enslaving those from other races and forcing them to perform work labor as the Dark Elves themselves are more inclined to indulge in lavish lives or in life-risking fights. While Cameron might be a slave, the fact that the Dark Elves see humans as beneath them (as well as slave content) would make him incredibly wary of them.

Darth Vader would hate Cameron. This is because he was born and raised a slave, and his mother was worked and abused to death whilst being a slave for the Tusken Raiders. Even when he was the Galactic Empire's enforcer, Vader was vehemently opposed to having slave labor, which was being perpetrated by Palpatine.

@ wootzits: There was a bi-monthly Superman comic called Superman Smashes the Klan, which itself is an adaptation on a The Adventures of Superman episode. They're called the Klan of the Fiery Kross (Clan of the Fiery Cross in the original source material) but no points as to what both stories are alluding to, really.

@ Cameron: World War 2 related-I think that he would still oppose the Nazis. He might be really racist, but he's an American racist and despite hating black people he wouldn't think they should be exterminated like the Nazis think Jews, gays, Slavs, Romani and disabled should be. With U.S presidents Franklin Roosevelt, who was Assistant Secretary of the Navy when the film was released, would be deeply embarrassed that the at the time president and one of his political idols Woodrow Wilson endorsed the movie.

He'd be staunch enemies with Ulysess S Grant(forgot where I put him) since as president he brought down the first incarnation of the Klan
