Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

After a long-ass time, here's me posting some newbie profile drafts, here's Tahiti Plandervile and Rattlesnake. Recommended suggestions are listed below and, as usual, any other advice and thoughts are greatly welcomed.

  • Symbol: His Customized Revolver with the engraved sentence "Vengeance is Hereby Mine"
  • Theme Song:
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: The Most Destructive and Chaotic Member of Dutch's Gang, Slimeball, The Evilest of Outlaws, Bloodthirsty Beyond All Measure, Trigger-Happy, The Sociopath, More than Happy to get Involved in a Gunfight, Excellent Marksman and Shooter, Complete Asshole, Betrayed his Gang to the Pinkertons, Utterly Deplorable and Despised by Everyone, Red and Black and Evil All Over, Chaos Is Evil, Solely Cares About Self-Preservation, Thinks of Himself as More Important than Others, Only Believes in "Livin' and Dyin', Badass Longcoat, Using his Spare Time to Hurt and Mock Others, Relishes Inflicting Carnage and Torment on Others, Evil Is Hammy, Is a Dettriment to the Gang's Well-Being, Unapologetically Racist, Representing the Worst of Arthur, Straw Nihilist, Gets Away with his Crimes Before He's Ultimately Gunned Down for It, Karmic Death
  • Domains: Evil, Chaos, Depravity, Outlaws, Betrayal, Violence, Self-Preservation
  • Allies:
  • Arch-Enemy: Arthur Morgan
  • Enemies: John Marston, Jack Marston
  • Micah Bell III has a past that isn't well-documented, but there was enough established to picture him as a budding criminal, even at a young age. Being a relatively recent recruit in the gang of Dutch van der Linde, Micah proved to be a very capable marksman and gunslinger, eventually becoming one of Dutch's most capable henchmen, a position he shared with Arthur Morgan, whom he would start a bitter rivalry with. Despite his esteemed role within the group, Micah proved a loose and detrimental cannon, willingly going out to start rampages, destruction, and mass shootouts for the sake of self-gratification, acts that would annoy everyone due to clashing against their desire to keep out of unnecessary violence. Already a slimy and repulsive beast of a man, Micah would sink to lower lows when he discreetly decided to leak information and details about the gang to the Pinkerton Agency all to get himself out of trouble and while also coaxing and manipulating Dutch to take extreme actions and violence, taking advantage of his superior's dwindling sanity. Once his treachery was revealed, Dutch's gang was destroyed and Micah and Arthur had one last fight, ending in Arthur's death and Micah going off to form his own gang with which to commit more acts of atrocity and death. Eventually, fate and retribution would finally catch up to Micah when John Marston, a former member of Dutch's gang, gained information and stormed his settlement to put an end to Micah's terrorizing schemes. Despite still working with Dutch, the latter would suddenly betray Micah, allowing John to finally put him down for good. And on death's door, Micah could only give a humored shrug before dropping dead.
  • Micah ascended into the Pantheon sometime after his mortal coil was shed. Initially, he was under the belief that he ended up in hell due to his awareness of just how awful of a person he was. He was rather disappointed that this wasn't the case but got intrigued by the divine realm’s sheer scope and opportunity, namely that there was still a massive swath of uncharted and untamed lands that he could attend and make himself a name for. One of the first things he did was to attend a small town and commit a mass shootout, just to entertain himself, though not before attempting to find some criminals as like-minded as him to build himself up as a threat and influence. Before the shootout, he also learned about Arthur and John’s presence in the Pantheon, so Micah wanted his actions to tell his rival and killer that he was also here and that they aren't safe, gleefully anticipating the next time he is to “greet” them and their friends, new or old.
  • Micah Bell III is the textbook definition of everything that is feared and hated about the terrors of the American Old West, a fact that Micah takes absolute pride and satisfaction in expressing. Bloodthirsty, remorseless, and all too happy to sow discord and chaos wherever he goes, Micah is a dangerous criminal who will not waste a second to either enjoy killing or fighting and he has no trouble skirting besides death’s door. In addition to his dismissal of fear, Micah has no interest in higher concepts and sees worship and religious belief as obsolete, even if he entertains the possibility of hell and damnation and finally, he's a complete and utter asshole who will milk out any attempts to belittle, mock, or insult anyone so long as he can either take pleasure or get away with it, up to racism, misogyny, and just plain bullying. Unsurprisingly, he is feared as he is hated, even by criminals as vicious as him as Micah is all too eager to cross moral boundaries, but to him, it means little to nothing. He does, however, have a measure of respect towards anyone with capable marksman skills or having a similarly blood-hungry streak as he does, though those moments tend to be rare, though Micah is aware that most of that respect may end up forming more rivals than he would allies.

[up] V is an idealistic anarchist who fights against a repressive government. Ulquiorra Cifer and Anago are nihilists. Bill Williamson is a Spree Killer. For wild west characters, you can borrow from Arthur Morgan's profile which you wrote.

Added a bit more to Comicron-1. Guys I'm really struggling to figure out what more to add, I know that 10 paragraphs is the standard but the pool of creativity isn't as deep for me talking about treasures

Comicron-1 (formerly Lord Vyce's ship)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/comicron1.png
  • Hall: Vehicles Depot (The Great Treasury)
  • Appearance: A V-styled spaceship
  • Class Level: 3 (2 under Vyce's control)
  • Museum Check: Granted (requires the current owner's permission, though)
  • Alignment: Lawful Good with its current A.I, Lawful Evil when under Vyce's command. True Neutral without its current A.I
  • Portfolio: Cool Starship, Space Fighter, A Unique Design Near-Impossible To Repair Without Use Of The Forge, Wave-Motion Gun, Hard Light, Best Assets Blocked Off Without Vyce But Still Formidable, Constructed From Multiple Universes' Materials, having a Benevolent A.I.
  • Domains: Interdimensionality, Conquest (Formerly), Review Videos (Currently), Spaceships, Teleporters, Strange Happenings (in general)
  • Owner: Linkara (current owner), Lord Vyce (creator and original owner)
  • A.I: NIMUE (non-ascended)
  • Ship mechanic: 90s Dude
  • Lord Vyce has had many allies in his pursuit of the Entity, but all of them came and gone. The only thing left was his powerful spaceship, a complicated vehicle with material from multiple universes. It utilizes something known as the Forge, which can convert any material nearby to repair the ship. For times unknown it was under his possession, until he was defeated by Linkara and his allies. Many of the ship's abilities were locked without Vyce but it still a formidable ship, and one of Linkara's best assets against the often bizarre enemies he deals with. He's dubbed the ship Comicron-1, and has occasionally made comic book reviews on the ship.
  • Currently located in Earth orbit, making up Linkara's "Arsenal of Freedom", and being observed by the US government as a matter of security. Much to the original owner's protest, Linkara has allowed Comicron-1 to show up in the Vehicles Depot. However you need his formal permission before using the ship. As an unabashed nerd he was pretty excited to see it in the same location as the Batmobile and the DeLorean Time Machine. Unfortunately for him this also meant it was in the same Hall of the USG Ishimura. The fear of Necromorphs getting onto the Comicron-1 has him tempted to let Lord Vyce open up some protective functions, but he doesn't think it's worth the risk after Vyce broke their Enemy Mine as he refused to accept the Entity was dead and still argues he's needed to "protect" the multiverse.
  • As it is, Comicron-1 isn't able to travel to other universes like it was under Lord Vyce. It can go as far enough as Jupiter's orbit, though presumably it can't got FTL. Linkara hasn't tried to at least. Given the cosmic threats he once merely reviewed are in the Trope Pantheon like him, such as Planet Remina, he wishes its full capabilities aren't locked. Petitions for helping the ship reach its full capabilities have been sent to Team Lightyear and the Green Lantern Corps. No-one who knows how to improve it has managed to make a permanent upgrade. Currently he'll mulling over whether it'd be easier to just find one of Nebby's species and use them for multiversal travel.
Linkara: "Damnit, why do I have to deal with this comic book trope!"
  • In a way, Comicron-1 could count as a deity and a treasure, as it is piloted by an A.I called NIMUE. She does double duty performing security, and looks kind of like HAL 9000. However unlike him, she performs as intended and rolls her avatar's eyes at her physical design being similar to it. However like everyone else if she wants to be a deity she has to apply and she can exist independently of Comicron-1 if need be. Since the ship itself is part of the Trope Pantheon she is able to communicate to other Spaceship Girl AIs, such as EDI and Cortana. She doesn't feel the need to make a humanoid avatar, at least right now, but she does have a perceived feminine avatar in digital space. Don't try to override her, especially with your own consciousness; Vyce barely survived her retaliation. Unfortunately beings like SKYNET and Sigma think they have a good shot at succeeding where she failed, and they might be right to think so.
    • Since Linkara's favorite film is Camelot, some think that's where he got the name for the AI. Merlin has been pondering visiting Comicron-1 with that in knowledge.
  • Has a scout ship called the Vigilant which can be modified into a Space Fighter, and an intended second model called Comicron-2 after Comicron-1 ended up out of commission on the moon. Well, had, Vyce ended up taking Comicron-2 to kill the Entity only to fall into the collapsing Pocket Dimension meant for the now dead for real Entity. Unfortunately, for Vyce, he didn't come back with it, but he muses its design is inferior due to being a Glass Cannon. The Grand United Alliance of Good reached out to Linkara after entering and winning the recent Tournament of Champions saying they want to support. The absolute Toku fan that he is, the GUAG members he gets support of the most from are the Power Rangers. He wants to figure out how to let the Comicron-1 has a mecha mode but the design of the ship is enough of a Black Box no progress in doing so has been made.
  • You have to be invited to enter Comicron-1. The Nostalgia Critic was kind of annoyed he doesn't have this badass ship, having to settle to make his house a spaceship, and due to out of universe events Linkara isn't enthused about inviting him. He might think differently if he or the Angry Video Game Nerd want to help him deal with his or mutual enemies. Villains almost never get an invitation even if Linkara's a fan of them for security reasons. One of the reasons why it's "almost" is because Snowflame can show up since he's kind of roomies with the reviewer (and he thinks he's a personal Ensemble Dark Horse). He initially allowed superheroes to come in unannounced but grew sick of Batman trying to make contingency plans for Comicron-1 so from now on they need an invitation. Blue Beetle and Booster Gold are common visitors.
  • Though villains almost never get an invitation, there are blatant perma-ban lists. Complete Monsters, of course they're not invited. Those that push more into existential threat territory for him/being very OP, also never allowed entry. He doesn't want SKYNET or any of its loyal agents due to experience with Mechakara. However he has also permanently banned Amanda Waller despite her being more an occasional/ambiguous villain. Why? Simple; she keeps trying to shut his show down and seize his assets for the US government due to not trusting him, or making her own contingencies in case he goes rogue. Being a comic book fan, he feels those contingencies would be at best questionable.
Linkara: You know I've read "JLA: Tower of Babel right? I've seen how a full on superhero's contingencies can go belly-up, so I'm sure as hell not trusting you! Also FYI, Batman was meant to be seen in the wrong."
  • Thanks to the holodeck, Linkara is able to make Comicron-1 his home away from home. The ship utilizes repurposed Cybermats made by Linkara's tech expert Dr Linksano. No, not Dr Insano, but his brother from another universenote . Linkara's old nemesis was pretty pissed off to see even after a decade he still has ownership of Lord Vyce's ship and he plans to take control of the ship for himself. Lionel Hutz attempted to make some sort of lawsuit over these "borrowed assets", but the crew of the USS Enterprise roll their eyes at a harmless Shout-Out. Unfortunately the Cybermen had another idea, in that they are trying to control the repurposed Cybermats in order to take the ship for themselves.
  • SCP-2578-D has been communicating with Comicron-1 after noticing its presence in Earth orbit. The Kill Sat stated that it sees even greater potential for heroism than Linkara thinks, as he could use the ship to intimidate dictators into surrendering power and allowing more freedom. Linkara tacitly refuses as he believes this would be Jumping Off the Slippery Slope; he had a major reality call after being called out for his unheroic actions and he witnessed his hologram clone to plan to use it against Marvel and DC editors to force them to improve the quality of comic books. He's a comic-loving nerd and he's not going to indulge in the behavior of characters like The Authority. The SCPs Hall of Military Technology has been observing the ship for its potential. Stan Smith has tried to exploit his CIA status to go on the ship under the pretense of the US government monitoring it, but Linkara saw right through it and kicked him off since he would rather avoid any of his 'verse's craziness on his ship...he has enough weirdness on his own.

@CrimsonShark

Don't forget to add images for Dutch for his later designs, especially in the first game.

[down]

1. The images and Alignment sections are noticeably positioned out of wack, and are in need of correcting.

2. In addition, Foe Yay was disambiged, and Yatsu's last Portfolio point could be fused with the second-to-last.

3. Remember: Tetsuo is a trilogy. Make sure to highlight their appearances in the other two films, as well.

Foe Yay is a disambiguation and should not be used as a pothole. Speaking of potholes, Metallo's pothole is a red link (he's in Offensive Powers).

For interactions, the Cybermen want to turn organics into more metallic soldiers. Magneto can manipulate iron. Claus/The Masked Man, Ichiro Inuyashiki & Hiro Shishigami and Chise were turned into cyborgs. Tetsuro Hoshino and Maetel oppose mechanization.

Monsignor Ronald Arbuthnott Knox, God of Fair Play Mysteries(Archbishop Knox)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ronald_knox.jpg

  • Borderline Demigod, Unknown Rank as a Witch Hunter
  • Symbol: The Knox Bible
  • Alignment: Neutral Good

  • Profile: From Anglican to Catholic Priest, disliked the ambivalence of the Anglican Church which led to to him getting cut out of his father's will, Vow of Celibacy, Deadpan Snarker, used Scholarships to make his way in Oxford, Satirized both religious and secular matters

  • Herald: His "daughter" Dlanor A. Knox
  • Allies: God(Bruce Almighty), God (God, the Devil and Bob)

  • Enemies: Dis, The Godhand, Griffith, Lord Belos

  • Mystery stories distinguish themselves from the thriller and horror genres not by simply having mystery, but by having that mystery being "fair": a logical result of the story's information, perhaps even solvable before the grand reveal. However, things were not always this way. Mystery stories were originally written to dangle a mystery in front of the reader and then show off the intelligence of detectives through contrived jumps in reason and observation. But in the Golden Age of Mystery, the genre came into its own by bringing readers into the interactive detective experience. The man who codified this age of Fair Mysteries was not a critic but the writer and Catholic Priest Ronald Knox.
    • Born in 1888 to the future Bishop of Manchester, Knox gained the respect of both peers and professors at Oxford, but what he really wanted to do was become a priest. Taking a vow of celibacy at 17, he was ordained as an Anglican priest and became the chaplain of Trinity College. Only 5 years later he resigned as an Anglican priest and became a Catholic Priest, to the great displeasure of his father, the Anglican Bishop of Manchester. From then on he became a highly respected priest, theologian, and Catholic apologist, with such feats as creating his own translation of the Bible and being denoted as a Protonotary apostolic by Pope Pius XII. However, he is also known for his work in analyzing and codifying the mystery genre through his mystery stories and the creation of the Knox's Decalogue.

  • No one knows how or when Ronald Knox ascended, but the first time he was seen was when a man with fatal injuries entered a church late at night. While the chapel was supposed to be empty when the man began his confession someone on the other side of the confession box replied to him. It was later discovered that this mysterious figure was none other than Knox, who believed that the last thing to be done for a dying man was to "Hear his confession and give him absolution".

  • Versions of God

  • While he is a Catholic priest, Knox gets along perfectly with other kinds of Christians in the Pantheon as well as those of other regions. However, he seems to get into debates about religion very often, where his experience as a theologian makes him formidable. Deities now joke that "when Ronald starts debating religion, it's time to leave the event". In the Pantheon, he takes the position of Elysium Academy's head chaplain and as a theology teacher. Due to the diverse religious landscape of the Pantheon, this position has forced him to learn about many of the other religions to properly perform his duties. His opinion on these other religions? "They are all very interesting, but none of them match up with the Catholic tradition".
    • Being a Protonotary apostolic technically gives Knox authority below only the pope(citation required). This makes him the highest-ranking Catholic in the Pantheon. Instead of using his rank as a means of influence, he instead uses his charisma to smooth over disagreements between his fellow clergy and coordinate their efforts, becoming their de facto leader. This is a good change from the general lack of coordination from before his ascension, although he is often exasperated and frustrated by Alexander Anderson's enthusiasm for violence or Gaterbelt's inappropriate love for children due to the work of keeping them in line.
    • Those who turned away from the church for both understandable and not understandable reasons

  • While he died of cancer at the age of 69 in Real Life, in the universe of Umineko: When They Cry, the circumstances of his death are much more mysterious. In this universe, he was the Head Inquisitor of the Great Court of Heaven who created Knox's decalogue as weapons to combat witches(the sources of mystery), but was interrogated and executed by his daughter Dlanor A. Knox. For this reason, Dlanor appears as Ronald's herald whenever she a break away from her busy job, and the two seem to have a healthy relationship as father and daughter. It is speculated that Dlanor is either adopted given how the two look so different or that Dlanor is the embodiment of the Decalogue, which makes Knox her father because he "created" her. When asked about his past as a witch hunter, the priest simply says that he is retired and will leave the work fighting the supernatural to future generations. In fact, this aspect of his past is so murky that no one knows how powerful he would be if he used his inquisitor powers, nor would they want to know.
    • However, a stroke of fate revealed just a bit of that unknown power. When Lord Belos was pursuing Sarah Spellman for unknown reasons, the young witch was saved by the timely intervention of a holy wedge that pierced Belos's arm, which subsequently exploded. He was forced to flee, but not before confronting the priest.
Knox: I've heard that the Puritans were tough on themselves, but I guess the history books were wrong. After all, they seem to be pretty loose on fratricide.
Lord Belos: How did you...never mind that, why is a man of the cloth siding with an unholy witch?
Knox: Well, I don't think you could understand a full Thesis so let me just say this: God protects all people.

  • Although Dlanor has a reputation of being a ruthless judge, she's actually quite reasonable when it comes to witches and demons, able to interact with them peacefully with no issues and even volunteered to help defend the Golden Land against Bernkastel's forces for no reason other her own sense of justice. Whether this attitude came from Ronald or she influenced him towards her views is unknown, but the two are generally of the same mind that extremists like Belos bring shame to the name of Christ.

@RJ-19-CLOVIS-93 - Comicron-1

  • The Planet Express has The Planet Express Ship, which is a highly advance spacecraft (with a weapon) that is used for deliveries. Is the Comicron-1 have faster than light travel like this ship does? Would Linkara want to use the ship as a delivery ship?
  • Rick Sanchez drives a small spaceship known as the Space Cruiser, that also comes equip with various weapons, an AI and may also have a portal gun. Rick himself is an interdimensional traveler. He probably would look unimpressed and probably snark that the place looks like a nerd's wet dream or something.

@r-lock256 - House of Mouse

  • Don't forget to add: Pixar deities, Indiana Jones deities, Blue Sky Deities (The Herd, Scrat, characters from The Robots, to name a few), and various deities from 20th Television Animation
  • I personally don't think the House of Mouse would have an alcohol bar (mostly because the show is family friendly and there's kids in that night club). I would allow it to exist if it happens to be a new edition for the House of Mouse.
  • Due to the place having hosted various musical acts, this place is a source of interest for various musicians in and around the House of Musicality.
  • Robot Chicken (the show) is also a clip show, with its framing device being the POV of a robot chicken being strapped into a chair and tortured by watching the show's clips (which are usually dark parodies or adult jokes for their short skits). I would just imagine that someone trying to sabotage the House of Mouse by broadcasting Robot Chicken clips to the patrons (as Robot Chicken has parodied plenty of Disney stuff before, and the show is accessible in the Pantheon as stated in RC's profile, making them sick to the core when they watched some of the really messed up ones or simply be angry at the crass depiction, which would make them leave as a result.
  • I kinda wonder what Walt Disney think of this place. He was interested in developing Amusement parks in his past life, and while the House of Mouse is not an Amusement park, I could see him being interested in this place. Of course, he would be a guest of honor for such and I would imagine the House of Mouse crew are trying very hard to impress him or prevent things from being screwed up.

@r-lock: Flo handles restaurant service and could stand-in as a waitress if the House of Mouse needs some help. Woody and Rottweiler's antics are recorded and televised on TV and could double as slapstick toons that could be featured, Woody being the main supplier of course. Given Disney's canon connections with some games due to Wreck It Ralph, Tapper could work there on occasion and it could warrant stuff like Mario and Bowser hanging out there and other villains + heroes with similar dynamics. Also wonder how Oswald the Lucky Rabbit would think of the place.

@Crimson: Dutch would contrast with Robin Hood who is more someone that Dutch would claim to aspire to be like. Carmen Sandiego is a legendary thief who was a former detective gone bad for less noble reasons but yet maintain some of her morality and dignity and still kept her standards. Could also interact with Tony, Jo, Mario, and Cesar on top of plenty of other members from the same House. Rango and Lucky Luke are a sheriff and a criminal-busting cowboy respectively. For Micah, B.B. Hood would be an initially unassuming rival as a psychotic monster hunter. Gary Smith is a younger but highly manipulative and cruel student. Psycho Mantis is an example of someone who wasn't in it for the political or motivational cause but just to spill blood.

You know, I've been thinking about actually deciding to return to this thread after an extremely lengthy hiatus, so if anyone doesn't mind, I'd like to propose the Chief Executives of Guangdongnote  for the trope One Nation Under Copyright. This is because in the timeline where the Axis won WWII, one of the nations carved out of China by the Empire of Japan is Guangdong, a nation that was initially planned by Hideki Tojo to become a retirement home for Japanese soldiers, but after Tojo was ousted by his colleagues, it became a playground of unrestrained capitalism for Japanese Corporations to play around, resulting in it becoming a corporatocracy, which became much more clearer after Suzuki Teiichi was given a Vote of No Confidence and booted, resulting in the three big corporations, Sony, Matsushita Electric, and Fujitsu competing each other to rule over the corporate state. Hitachi later would attempt to coup the current Chief Executive in 1966.

Word of advice: If you're working on a dual character profile where the two are enemies, you don't have to copy-paste each one in their allies to the other one's enemies. Using "EACH OTHER, Each other's allies" can sum them up fine. Of course, there may be other enemies that they both share, or enemies who aren't the other's ally.

WIP Draft for The Narrator, a near-omniscient formless voice trying to tell the story of the Stanley Parable.

As you can see, the current draft looks like the current profile because it is, with some minor tweaks like updating the interaction list. I'm not sure if I should keep the most of the old profile as there is literally nothing wrong with it besides some of the texts being underdeveloped. Or I start from scratch to make it a true remake, but I might ended up rewording the intactions in this profile that is already there.

Also, I need interactions for the following:

  • Anyone associated with game making or writing stories for games.
  • Anyone who is a stickler for sticking to the story.
  • Anyone who is (or is followed by) a voice-only narrator (beside Howard and Kreese)
  • For enemies: Anyone who tries to break away from their story?
  • Any suggestions are welcome.

  • Unsorted: Tulip Olsen, Pony Island's Satan, Robert Daly
  • "This is the story of a man named Stanley" were the starting words uttered by this unseen narrator, architect of the story about the aforementioned man named Stanley. The Narrator's role is simple, he has to narrate Stanley's story from beginning to end and everyone will live happily ever after. That is, if Stanley decides to follow through with said narrative, as things can get Off the Rails if Stanley decides to, making the Narrator either punish Stanley or fabricate a new tale entirely. But he is always ever-present, ready to deliver the best narration he can, even if he can get a little wacky during it.
  • The Narrator was very compelling in his ascension, although it is rumored that he "persuaded" the court of gods into allowing him to godhood. For a while he didn't really have much to do other than narrate in his usual style about whatever was happening, with zero control on what would happen. That all changed when Stanley arrived, as he gained his control over the narrative and that allowed him to steer Stanley into whatever tale he had planned for him and that also affected other deities. Said development would be the start of many bizarre misadventures for several deities.
  • His relationship with the Stanley is a complicated one. Sometimes, The Narrator is just a neutral observer narrating Stanley's life. Sometimes, he's a useful guide and a friend to him. Sometimes, they don't get along when Stanley decides to ignore him and makes his own path. Sometimes, they get along when strange things happen. Sometimes, The Narrator can be cruel to Stanley and he's even killed or lied to Stanley a few times. Sometimes, Stanley can be cruel to him by taking away his happiness and destroying his game. It all depends on the choices Stanley makes.
  • In the past, it was very common to hear mild-sounding British voice from out of nowhere state "This is the story of X", then said deity was prompted to follow the Narrator's exposition. However and quite frequently, those ended up disliking how controlling the Narrator's exposition is and often go against the Narrator's wishes. The Narrator is patient about this; he will start speaking directly to the person, often reprimanding their choice of action before placing down walls to Railroad the story back on track. Should the person cause the Narrator's tract to go completely Off the Rails, however, the Narrator will place the person in one of GLaDOS' unsolvable test chambers, commenting on the story as if it were a tragedy. He seems to particularly enjoy that last part. That's part of the reason why he and GLaDOS are very good friends.
  • Often is the welcoming voice to newer deities, guiding them through a "tutorial" and teaching them most of the ins and outs of the Trope Pantheons. This, however, is just optional and it was made to keep him entertained and away from other deities so he would stop trying to narrate their every movement. Stanley is often forced to help the Narrator in order to make an example of what NOT to do and Stanley has been pretty annoyed at that. The reason he doesn't help as often is because of how Stanley is likely to cause problems.
  • Considering he tends to railroads characters into his story by any means he has available. Most who he has tried to narrate over just follow because they are interested in his story, others not so much. The two he constantly has trouble with are Kamina and Old Man Henderson, whose defiance towards fate and the plot respectively has made the Narrator want to "correct" them the most but that only ends up with the Narrator giving up on them after a while.
    • Another particular deity he started to mess with was Diogenes, AKA the Man in the Cauldron. He first took notice after hearing that he was being followed by a british narrator, similar to Stanley and then both Stanley and Diogenes became friends. So the Narrator decided to test his resolve by narrating a tale where Diogenes had to climb an even more difficult mountain but he refused to follow the directions of the Narrator, making his journey all that more difficult.
    • And then there was the Abridged version of Kirito, who the Narrator decided to narrate over after hearing of how he tends to not care about the established plotline. Kirito tried to ignore him but then the Narrator started insulting him with the Awful Truth and then was promptly silenced. Since then, the Narrator loves to mess with Kirito whenever he can.
  • Often seen commentating on matches for the Defenders of the Ancient and his habit to be too wordy and very sarcastic has annoyed them to no end. Others however have found his commentary and observation to be priceless. He later began delving into the storytelling business by telling a story about someone or something called the Absolute Evil, containing multiple references to other fantasy series. The only person who seemed to like it was the Crypt Keeper, who found it similar to his escapades.
  • The Narrator was very curious after meeting Martin Walker and hearing about his story and how his own delusion led him to a villainous path. Walker on ther hand despises for the very idea of being pushed to commit horrible things and does not ever want to hear his narration. The british man simply just tried to place him in a more "relaxed" story but that only made Walker more furious.
  • Once tried to get a hold of The Mob but they were surprisingly one of the few deities that made the Narrator feel powerless as their sheer randomness and constant hive mind mentality ended up overwhelming him. That and they are, for some reason, obssessed with the Broom Closet. (Insert Name Here) is another deity he has trouble guiding due to their ability to make "irresponsible choices". However, they are much easier to dispatch. The last time this happened, he was able to trap them outside of the confines of the game. He doesn't realize, however, that they are the ones that help Stanley move at all.
  • Vegeta once attempted to play his game but the resulting lack of rebellion and the continuous restarts drove him insane. Because of this, The Narrator is perhaps the only person besides Beerus that Vegeta fears but he will never admit it to his face. {Fnaf characters playing Stanley Parable}
  • Good friends with the Author, who fills a similar role to him except he has a lot more creative power behind him unlike the Narrator. When he heard how Bob performed a Rage Against the Author, he felt sorry for him, and decided to invite him to a game of "Save the Baby" which he personally developed. On the other hand, the Author's creation Bob has also attempted to take down the Narrator from his position but that lead nowhere as the Narrator has no tangible form.
  • He eventually met other narrators in the Pantheon. He was incredibly impressed with the narrator of Naughty Bear, whom manages to not only communicate perfectly with him, but also gets Naughty to go through with just about anything he so wishes him to do, practically his revenge. He came to respect him and the two can be heard discussing ways to get people to follow through with their stories. Although they fill similar roles and his title was named after him, the Narrator and Lemony Snicket aren't actually on cordial terms. Reason being that Snicket believes the Narrator to be too controlling of his narration and his sheer sadism when punishing those that don't follow the story has made him wary of him. The Narrator doesn't really mind that but is appalled that Lemony would call him sadistic.
  • ICEY was one of the first deities to take a more direct approach at opposing the Narrator, given that she too was the victim of a narrator that wanted to railroad her into a story she didn't want to be part of. She was later joined by the Doki Doki Literature Club, as once they learned of the nature of their home game they started to dislike the Narrator's actions. Monika specially because the whole reason she started to mess with the code of her game was because of how she was forced to not be a love interest but discovering that the Narrator is as much of a pawn as she is made things a bit more complicated with the Narrator. The british man personally just finds ICEY and the girls amusing and would often try to narrate a tale they would be happy to be part of, even if they rarely want to follow it.
    • On the other hand there was Niko, who tried to be much nicer to the Narrator about how he goes about his storytelling but was unable to make him change his mind. Niko also felt really uncomfortable since Stanley became friends with Niko not long before meeting the Narrator and that made Niko a potential target for a tale. That and the fact that the Narrator reminds Niko of the World Machine.
  • It is believed that the Narrator and Stanley are both stuck in a "Groundhog Day" Loop and they will continue to repeat the story eternally. Some, like Rika Furude, have blamed this on the Narrator and hated him for forcing Stanley to go through the same events over and over leading to insanity or death (sometimes both). She started to pity the Narrator once she discovered he isn't in control as much as he thinks he is but still doesn't think highly of him.
  • {Video Games The Narrator plays or encounters}
  • {Confusion ending, getting a taste of his own medicine by being railroaded himself}
  • {Skip Button}
  • {Making the Sequel to Stanley Parable, Handling criticism}
  • {Stanley Figurines}
  • Cheaters fear to be taken to the Serious Room, where the Narrator is said to deliver very serious punishments for cheaters, a practice personally endorsed by Dr. Hax. Only one deity in the Pantheon has ever made it out of the room and that was, of course, Stanley himself.

"And Stanley was happy."

[down] Thanks, the original profile didn't tell me which Keeper was it referring to. It just said "Keeper".

[up] That Dungeons reference was for the Dungeon Keeper, not the Crypt Keeper.
