Cheerific
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/080mennopaws.png
Mennopaws

A Fairy-type line meant to represent the three "life stages" of human women. Cheerly is the child, being perpetually cheerful and always dancing when it's excited. Cheerly soon evolves into Cheerific, the adolescent stage with a cheerleader theme who is always cheering during battle no matter what happens. Their final form, Mennopaws, takes a big drastic change upon evolving, becoming extremely temperamental and angry due to its inability to lay eggs, to the point of going into a rampage if it even sees a pregnant woman.

  • Barbie Doll Anatomy: Mennopaws averts this hard. Just look at it... or better, don't.
  • Berserk Button: According to its description, seeing a pregnant woman is enough to send Mennopaws into a fit of rage. It also gets Anger Point as an ability, which maximizes its Attack stats if hit by a Critical Hit.
  • Cuteness Proximity: Both Cheerly and Cheerific have Cute Charm as a regular ability.
  • Dance Battler: Cheerly and Cheerific learn a few dancing moves, including Petal, Swords, and Teeter Dance.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Mennopaws acquires the Ground-type upon evolving.
  • Expy: Mennopaws is based on Nidoqueen— both are in the Undiscovered egg group and gain the Ground-type after evolving.
  • Fan Disservice: Mennopaws, full stop.
  • Friend to All Living Things: Cheerly and specially Cheerific are extremely cheerful and amicable towards everyone. This is reflected in their Hidden Ability, Friend Guard, which reduces damage done to allies in double battles.
  • Jack of All Stats: Cheerific has balanced stats all around except for Special Attack. While they are not amazing, they are still usable enough to not qualify as a Master of None.
  • Luck-Based Mission: Cheerly and Cheerific can have Serene Grace as an ability, which doubles the chances of secondary effects from their attacks from happening. On the other hand, Mennopaws gets Moody, which every turn raises a random stat by two stages while reducing another one by one stage.
  • The Medic: Cheerly and Cheerific get many ways to heal and cure teammates as level-up moves. They can have Wish to pass health recoveries in single battles, Healing Wish to sacrifice themselves and fully recover their replacement, Heal Bell to cure status ailments and, in double battles, Heal Pulse to directly heal allies. One of their possible abilities is also Healer, which has a chance of curing teammates from status effects in double battles.
  • Mighty Glacier: Mennopaws has respectable bulk and a great Attack stat of 124, but its Speed only reaches the 70 points.
  • My Biological Clock Is Ticking: Or rather, it already stopped ticking for Mennopaws, as it's one of the few non-Legendary or baby Pokémon incapable of breeding. This is the main reason why it's always angry.
  • Nipple and Dimed: Averted with Mennopaws, whose drooping breasts are detailed.
  • One-Gender Race: Exclusively female.
  • One-Hit Kill: One of Mennopaw's final level up-moves is Fissure, which kill anything it connects to.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: The entire line is Fairy-type.
  • Pom-Pom Girl: Cheerific is actually cheerful and well-spirited as opposed to being a Cruel Cheerleader.
  • Spam Attack: Mennopaws learns Thrash and Outrage as level-up moves.
  • Status Buff: Mennopaws has Moody as a possible ability, which randomly raises a stat by two stages every turn.
  • Support Party Member: Cheerly and Cheerific have a big movepool destined to helping teammates, which fits with their cheering and cheerleader themes. Apart from everything already described in The Medic, they can get Friend Guard to reduce damage towards their teammates in double battles and Helping Hand to increase the damage they do instead.

    Caracold and Glacialynx

081: Caracold
082: Glacialynx

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/081caracold.png
Caracold
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/082glacialynx.png
Glacialynx

A line of Ice/Electric Pokémon who borrow inspiration from many different felines such as Siberian tigers, caracals, lynxes and, of course, the common cat. Caracold's body has adapted to extreme temperatures, and it's strong enough to hold weights two time its size. Glacialynx acquires markings around its eyes that makes it look like a bandit. It uses the lights emitted from its Electric-type moves to easily find its herd during blizzards.

  • Armored But Frail: If they have Fur Coat, their Defense stat is doubled to a respectable level, but their HP will remain underwhelming which makes them susceptible to Fixed Damage Attacks.
  • Awesome, but Impractical: Both of Glacialynx's Secret Arts are this:
    • Freeze Shock has a massive 140 Base Power, but the turn it takes to charge means that the opponent can just switch onto something that resists the attack.
    • Boltbeam deals Electric and Ice damage at the same time, both of which are considered excellent coverage options to have on the same Pokémon, so it should be pretty great as an attacking move, right? Unfortunately, while Electric and Ice coverage hits a lot of Pokémon either super effectively or neutrally individually, they clash a lot with each other's super effective damage when combined together (e.g. its Electric side can't hit Water-type Pokémon hard due to them resisting Ice, while the usually weak-to-Ice Ground-type Pokémon can't be hit at all due to their immunity towards the Electric-type). As such, unless you really hate Flying-type Pokémon (which are the only ones to be hit super-effectively by Boltbeam, as they suffer a devastating quadruple damage), Glacialynx fares much better by just having its Electric and Ice moves as individual attacks.
  • Charged Attack: They naturally learn Charge, letting their next Electric-type move to deal double damage. Also, one of Glacialynx's Secret Arts is Freeze Shock, which takes two turns to deal damage.
  • Domino Mask: Glacialynx's marks around its eyes resembles this.
  • Elemental Absorption: Glacialynx gets Volt Absorb as an ability, which lets it recover HP if hit by an Electric-type move.
  • Fragile Speedster: Glacialynx has a pretty nice Speed stat of 101, but its defenses and specially its HP are terrible.
  • Glass Cannon: Glacialynx's Special Attack is its highest stat at 110 base points, and it can hit very hard if it has Adaptability (which gives its STAB moves extra power) as an ability, but it takes hits like a wet paper.
  • An Ice Person: Part Ice-type.
  • Item Caddy: Caracold has Pickup as a possible ability, which gives it a chance to get random items at the end of each fight. The line also has Frisk as a Hidden Ability which lets them know what item the enemy is packing, which can be combined with Thieffor farming items such as Nuggets/Star Pieces from Chompest or Mushrooms from Smellox.
  • Secret Art: Glacialynx is the only Pokémon capable of learning both Freeze Shock and the Clover-exclusive Boltbeam, a combined attack in the similar vein of Hawlucha's Flying Press that deals both Electric and Ice-type damage.
  • Shock and Awe: They are Electric-type.
  • Status Infliction Attack: They naturally get Thunder Wave.
  • Super-Toughness: The line can have the Fur Coat ability, which doubles their pathetic defenses to acceptable levels in case they need said boost.

    Pengas

083: Pengas

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/083pengas.png
Pengas

A Penguin Pokémon with marks on its torso meant to resemble a mouth which, combined with its mustache, gives it the appearance of Doctor Robotnik's face from Sonic the Hedgehog, which itself is a reference to the ''Pingas'' meme. Pengas' body temperature is constantly changing, going from cold to hot due to its Ice/Fire-typing. It also likes to constantly shout its name and nothing else.

  • Acrofatic: Despite looking fat, Pengas' Speed stat is 96, way higher than some Pokémon with more slender looks.
  • Animal Facial Hair: While Pengas' Belly Mouth is only a decoy, its impressive mustache seems to be genuinely real.
  • Belly Mouth: Subverted. The mouth on Pengas' body is actually just a very detailed decoy to scare off predators.
  • Berserk Button: The appropriately named Berserk ability raises its Special Attack when its HP drops below half.
  • Blow You Away: It learns many Flying-type moves via level-up despite not being Flying-type, presumably due to being based on a penguin.
  • Charged Attack: Its Secret Art, Freeze Burn, takes two turns to charge but deals a powerful blow. It also learns Razor Wind, which does the same.
  • Damage-Sponge Boss: Pengas has a big HP stat, having the highest of any Ice-type Pokémon in the game.
  • Heal Thyself: Naturally learns Roost to keep itself healthy.
  • An Ice Person: Part Ice-type. It also gets Refrigerate as an ability, which changes its Normal-type moves to Ice and gives them a power boost.
  • Jack of All Stats: Pengas has balanced stats all around apart from its big HP and low Attack.
  • Make Me Wanna Shout: It learns Hyper Voice and Boomburst as level-up moves, which coupled with its decent Special Attack and Refrigerate means it can dish out a lot of damage with the latter.
  • No-Sell: One of its hidden abilities is Magic Guard, which totally negates indirect damage (e.g. Sandstorm, entry hazards, being poisoned, among others) dealt against it
  • One-Hit Kill: Its second-to-last level-up move is Sheer Cold.
  • Oxymoronic Being: Is an Ice-type penguin with Fire, probably Ice's worst enemy, as a secondary typing.
  • Pokémon Speak: One of the few Pokémon explicitly stated to do so. According to its description, Pengas likes to constantly shout its name, which is reflected by its in-game cry.
  • Playing with Fire: Part Fire-type.
  • Scissors Cuts Rock: A user of Freeze-Dry, which deals super-effective damage against Water-type Pokémon and gives it a better chance at fighting them.
  • Secret Art: The only Pokémon in the game capable of learning Ice Burn, a two-turn attack with high base power that may burn the target.
  • Status Buff: Learns Work Up and can be breed to know Nasty Plot. It can also learn Aurora Veil via level-up, which boosts the defenses of its team for 5 turns but can only be activated in Hail.

    Praeteur and Praestish

084: Praeteur
085: Praestish

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/084praeteur.png
Praeteur
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/085praestish.png
Praestish

Fish Pokémon who make use of mimicry to appear far more intimidating than they are. Praeteur's eye-like marks on its torso and slender back fins gives it the appearance of an angry jellyfish, while Praestish takes inspirations from many different and dangerous water creatures such as pufferfishes, Lion fishes and sharks. They are pacifical and would rather be left alone that engage in combat, hence their predator-deterrent markings.

  • Action Initiative: They learn Aqua Jet and Spook Out as level moves, the latter being an stronger Ghost-type Fake Out clone.
  • Armored But Frail: Praestish has great mixed defenses, but its HP is below average.
  • Belly Mouth: Subverted. Similarly to Pengas above, the toothy mouth in Praestish's body is a fake it uses to scare off predators and enemies.
  • Confusion Fu: They have a surprisingly big movepool for a pure Water-type based on a fish, which benefits from both of its good offensive stats. It can effectively use attacking moves from 12 of the 18 types.
  • Fixed Damage Attack: Praestish learns Super Fang, which always damages half of the victim's current HP.
  • Magic Knight: While specializing in Attack, Praestish's Special Attack isn't far behind, allowing it to attack from both ends without problem.
  • Making a Splash: They are purely Water-type.
  • Mana Drain: They can have Pressure as an ability, which forces attackers to waste two Power Points when battling them. On top of that, they naturally learn Spite and Grudge, the former reduces 4 Power Points from the opponent's previously used attack while the latter completely drains the PP of the move used to knock them out.
  • Man Bites Man: Praestish has a big repertory of biting moves as level-up gains, including the Elemental Fangs and Crunch.
  • Mighty Glacier: Praestish has amazing defenses that make up for its somewhat low HP stat, and both of its attacking stats are pretty good. However, it's extremely low at only base 40 Speed.
  • Situational Damage Attack: Learns Hex, which doubles in power if the enemy is afflicted with a Status Effect. Unlike most users, they don't get many ways of spreading these (they learn Toxic via TM and Praestish has the Elemental Fangs, but they only have 10% chance of inflicting one), so it's a tad useless on them. They also get Brine, which doubles in power if the enemy is below half HP.
  • Soul Power: Despite not being Ghost-types, they learn a surprising amount of Ghost-type moves via level-up, and one of their regular abilities, Cursed Body, is often exclusively associated with Ghost-type Pokémon as well.
  • Status Buff: They learn Agility, which lets them get a little bit faster in battle.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: It's presumed that their Unnerve ability works as this, scaring opponents so much with their fake appearance they aren't able to properly eat berries.

    Flowre and Florious

086: Flowre
087: Florious

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/086flowre.png
Flowre
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/087florious.png
Florious

Flower-like entities that, despite what their appearance might suggest, aren't Grass-type (they're Poison/Dark). In fact, it's believed that they are not Pokémon at all. Originating as a meme in the /s4s/ 4chan board, Flowre is designed to be the maximum ruse by virtue of its unlikely typing, ability and, as mentioned before, not being a Pokémon in the first place. When exposed to a Moon Stone, Flowre evolves into Florious, which gives up its meme life and actually becomes a Pokémon for real.

  • Combat Pragmatist: They are part Dark-type.
  • Damage Over Time: One of Flowre's best ways to deal with its foes is swamp them with Leech Seed, inflict them with Toxic, and then spam Protect/Substitute/Synthesis until they eventually die. Alternatively, it can also put them to sleep and inflict a Nightmare to steadily damage them in their sleep, but it isn't as effective as the first strategy.
  • Department of Redundancy Department: Flowre's standard ability is Levitate, and both of its hidden abilities are Levitate too. Likewise, Florious' standard ability is Vital Spirit. Its hidden abilities? Vital Spirit and Insomnia... which does exactly the same thing as Vital Spirit.
  • Divergent Character Evolution: Despite Flowre's stats being lower than Florious' in every aspect, it manages to carve a niche on its own compared to its evolution. For starters, Florious' good Special Attack and Speed are designed to make it a direct all-out attacker, but Flowre's overall better bulk when holding an Eviolite, wide amount of status moves and inability to be crippled by Toxic thanks to its typing makes it a good stalling Pokémon capable of being very annoying on its own.
  • Domino Mask: Florious sports one made out of a leaf.
  • Foul Flower: Flowre may look friendly and cute, but it's a Dark-type. It's supposed to be the ultimate ruse after all.
  • Gender Bender: Due to Flowre's and Florious' gender rates being vastly different from each other, a female Flowre will have a six-out-of-seven chance of becoming male when evolving.
  • Green Thumb: They are not Grass-types, but due to being based on flowers, their Grass-type movepool is actually as wide as its two primary types combined.
  • Heal Thyself: They naturally learn Synthesis and Ingrain.
  • Informed Attribute: Flowre's entry claims that it's actually not a Pokémon, but it behaves exactly like one inside and outside of battle so there's nothing stopping you from using it like one.
  • The Insomniac: So much that all of Florious' abilities prevent it from falling asleep.
  • Lethal Joke Character: Flowre may seem absolutely obsolete compared to its evolution due to having lower stats all around and the exact same movepool. However, there are two things that manage to differentiate Flowre from Florious: the ability to hold an Eviolite to make it bulkier than its evolution, and Levitate to completely negate its only weakness outside of very specific circumstances like Mold Breaker or Smack Down. Thanks to this and its extensive status movepool, Flowre can become nigh-unkillable in the right circumstances against unprepared teams, which is something a player controlling the male protagonist might attest while battling Keksandra.
  • Life Drain: They get Absorb, Mega Drain, Giga Drain and Leech Seed as level-up moves.
  • Lunacy: Flowre evolves after being exposed to a Moon Stone.
  • Non-Damaging Status Infliction Attack: They learn the three main "Powder" moves: Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, and Stun Spore.
  • Noodle People: Flowre.
  • Plant Hair: Florious has flower petals as its hair.
  • Plant Person: Florious becomes more humanoid upon evolving, looking more like a person with flower-like characteristics than an actual flower.
  • Poisonous Person: Part Poison-type.
  • Power Floats: Inexplicably, Flowre has Levitate as its sole ability. Its creator stated that this was deliberate at Flowre's purpose is to be "the maximum ruse".
  • Shout-Out: Shiny Flowre's color palette heavily makes it resemble Flowey the Flower.
  • Spam Attack: They learn Beat Up and Petal Dance. The former attacks depending on how many living teammates are on their team, and the latter locks them in the move 2-3 times before being allowed to use anything else.
  • Squishy Wizard: Florious has good Special Attack/Defense stats, but poor physical Defense.
  • Status Buff: Learns Nasty Plot.
  • Stone Wall: Flowre becomes this if is holding an Eviolite, making it difficult to kill outside of certain strategies, but its offenses are much lower than its evolution.
  • Troll: Flowre. What else did you expect from the Pokémon designed to be the maximum ruse?

    Juarecito, Ponchito, and Somboludo

088: Juarecito
089: Ponchito
090: Somboludo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/089ponchito.png
Ponchito
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/090somboludo.png
Somboludo

A line of Ground-type Pokémon based on many Mexican stereotypes. Juarecito is small, round-shaped Pokémon based on the Mexican jumping bean who is said to sleep 18 hours a day. Juarecito evolves into Ponchito, taking the appearance of a nacho chip wearing a poncho. Their final form, Somboludo, acquires two guns as "hands" and a perfect accuracy at shooting targets, even while sleeping.

  • Action Initiative: Somboludo learns Bullet Punch.
  • Arm Cannon: Somboludo's hands are these.
  • Bandito: Their ponchos, sombreros and, in Somboludos' case, guns, gives them this appearance.
  • Boss Battle: Somboloudo is Carlito's Signature Mon. Doubles as Boss Bonanza since he's packing a full team of six Somboludo, at least during his first two fights.
  • Critical Hit Class: Somboludo can have Sniper as an ability, which increases the damage done by critical hits.
  • Damage-Sponge Boss: Somboludo has a pretty big HP stat, although its defenses are less impressive.
  • Disability Immunity: One of their hidden abilities, Comatose, treats them as if being permanently Asleep but still able to move during their turn. As such, this makes them immune to other status effects.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: A Ground-type line.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: Somboludo is part Steel-type.
  • Fragile Speedster: Somboludo is quite Speedy at a base 100 Speed stat, but despite a big HP pool, its average defenses mitigate its tanking potential.
  • Glass Cannon: Somboludo has a great base 115 Attack stat, but low defenses despite a lot of HP.
  • Heavy Sleeper: Juarecito's entry claims that it can sleep for 18 hours a day. They also get Comatose as an ability, which puts them on a permanently "Asleep" state without actually being asleep. Furthermore, the line can learn Rest eleven times as a level-up move (at level 1, level 10, and then every ten levels until level 100).
  • Iconic Item: The taco, which Juarecito is found holding 50% of the time. Ponchito is always found carrying one too.
  • Lazy Mexican: Their main gimmick, with they having Comatose as a possible ability and learning Slack Off and Rest as level-up moves (the last one eleven times, by the way).
  • One Curse Limit: With Comatose, they are always treated as being Asleep and therefore immune to other status effects such as poison or burn.
  • One-Hit Kill: Their final level-up move is Fissure.
  • Sombrero Equals Mexican: The entire line has sombreros on their designs, and they're based on Mexican stereotypes.
  • Recurring Boss: Somboludo is Carlito's strongest Pokémon, and you'll battle against him a handful of times.
  • Sean Connery Is About to Shoot You: Somboludo in its official art.
  • Status Buff: One of their abilities is Sand Veil, which boosts their Evasion during a Sandstorm.
  • Super-Senses: Juarecito and Ponchito can have Keen Eye as a regular ability, which makes it impossible to reduce their accuracy while also negating the opponent's Evasion boosts.
  • Sleepyhead: Implied by they constantly trying to learn Rest, suggesting that they are always trying dozing off.
  • Useless Useful Spell: As Comatose treats them as permanently Asleep, they can't use Rest with said ability, which they constantly try to learn as level-up moves.
  • Weather Manipulation: Can have Sand Stream as a regular ability, summoning a Sandstorm every time they enter into battle.

    Puppacti and Marionettl

091: Puppacti
092: Marionettl

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/091puppacti.png
Puppacti
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/092marionettl.png
Marionettl

Grass-type Pokémon who take inspirations from many different things. Puppacti is a cactus that uses two identical heads as puppets, while Marionettl is based on sea nettles, regular nettles, and marionettes. On top of that, both Pokémon are also based on the Piranha Plant from Super Mario Bros., with Marionettl in particular drawing inspiration from Naval Piranha.

  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Not the line themselves, but one of their regular abilities, Puppeteer, gives they a third STAB in Bug-type moves in addition to learning a handful of these moves via level-up.
  • Elemental Absorption: Can have Water Absorb as a Hidden Ability, making them immune to Water-type moves and letting them recover health instead.
  • Eyeless Face: None of their heads, fake or real, have any sort of eyes.
  • Fragile Speedster: Marionettl has a great base Speed of 100, but its defenses are only average.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: Just as its Pokédex entry says, Puppacti can absorb as much water as it wants thanks to Water Absorb.
  • Glass Cannon: Attack is Marionettl's highest stat, and it can hit pretty hard with it. However, it's not designed to take many hits.
  • Green Thumb: They are Grass-type.
  • Hand Puppet: The heads that make Puppacti's hands are designed to resemble these.
  • Life Drain: They learn Leech Seed and Leech Life as level-up moves.
  • Making a Splash: Marionettl is part Water-type.
  • Marionette Master: Marionettl replaces Puppacti's Hand Puppets with an array of tentacle-like marionettes it uses to lure prey and attack.
  • Multiple Head Case: Subverted: Similarly to Hydreigon, Puppacti and Marionettl's extra heads don't have life on their own and are totally controlled by the sole user.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Sea nettle (and regular nettle too) cacti with a puppetry theme who are based on Piranha Plants to boot.
  • Secret Art: The only line with the Puppeteer ability, which boosts the power of their Bug-type moves.
  • Shout-Out: As mentioned above, they draw inspiration from a popular monster in the Super Mario Bros. franchise.
  • Spam Attack: Learns Twineedle and Pin Missile.
  • The Spiny: One of their abilities is Rough Skin, which damages opponents that make contact with them. They also learn a wide array of moves that require spikes/thorns to work such as Spikes, Pin Missile, Fell Stinger, or Spiky Shield.
  • Status Buff: Marionettl naturally learns Coil to improve its physical stats and accuracy. They also learn Acupressure, which boosts a random stat by two stages.
  • Too Many Mouths: Judging by Puppacti's Pokédex entry, it seems like all of its mouths work as the real thing, implying the same thing also applies to Marionettl.

    Tittai and Octai

093: Tittai
094: Octai

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/093tittai.png
Tittai
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/094octai.png
Octai

Water/Fairy Pokémon inspired by octopi and the Hentai genre up to being shaped like breasts with visible nipples. Tittai is a single tentacle with a face and the suction pads being replaced by nipples. Tittai likes to swim inside its enemy to attack from the inside, something it carries when evolving into Octai, who uses its tentacles to do... things to enemies that provoke them.

  • Anti-Debuff: One of their hidden abilities is Misty Surge, which summons a Misty Terrain that completely prevents status effects from working as long as it stays active.
  • Black Comedy Rape: Octai's Pokédex entry explicitly states that it rapes its enemies when provoked.
  • Elemental Absorption: Gets Water Absorb as a normal ability, which heals them when struck by a Water-type move.
  • Heal Thyself: They learn Milk Drink and the Stockpile+Swallow combo.
  • Healing Factor: Gets Regenerator as a Hidden Ability, which heals them every time they switch out of battle.
  • Life Drain: They learn Drain Kiss and can be taught Giga Drain.
  • Making a Splash: Part Water-type.
  • Mighty Glacier: Octai has a decent base 107 Special Attack stat and respectable defenses, but is very slow.
  • Naughty Tentacles: Their main gimmick, with special mention going to Tittai as it's just a single tentacle who often swims inside the enemy to attack from inside.
  • Nipple and Dimed: Averted with this line, who have detailed nipples on top of their heads.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: Part Fairy-type.
  • Situational Damage Attack: Their final level-up move is Water Spout, which deals higher damage the more HP they have.
  • Stand Your Ground: One of their abilities is Suction Cups, which prevents them from being forcibly switched out via Roar, Whirlwind, or Circle Throw. This means that if a Tittai or Octai want to fight you, they will fight you.
  • Status Buff: Learns Stockpile to raise both of their defenses up to three times.

    Charagon and Hyletrack

095: Charagon
096: Hyletrack

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/095charagon.png
Charagon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/096hyletrack.png
Hyletrack

Pokémon based on the popular term "hype train", which describes something that is so anticipated by the public ir causes mass excitement when it's announced or released. Charagon is a locomotive capable of exhaling smoke at scalding temperatures and who are capable of combining with other of its kind to form a bigger train. Hyletrack are basically just bigger Charagon in an armor with a skull-shaped head. It seems to be attracted towards hyped people, and seeing one could get you hyped too.

  • Action Initiative: They learn Quick Attack and its upgraded version, Extreme Speed.
  • Animate Inanimate Object: They are living trains, which usually require external force to be able to move.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: They get Mold Breaker as a Hidden Ability, letting them bypass protective abilities that may interfere with their own attacks.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Their final level-up move is Head Smash.
  • Cool Train: Just look at them and say they aren't!
  • Extra-ore-dinary: A Steel-type line.
  • Feed It with Fire: Hitting one with Steam Engine with a Fire-type move will maximize its Speed, pretty much making it impossible to outspeed.
  • Jack of All Stats: Apart from its great Speed, Hyletrack's other stats are mostly balanced all around without being nothing spectacular.
  • Kill Streak: If they have Moxie, they get an Attack boost every time they perform a kill.
  • No Biological Sex: Totally genderless.
  • Playing with Fire: Part Fire-type.
  • Secret Art: The only line with the Steam Engine ability, which maximizes their Speed if they get hit by a Fire or Water-type move.
  • Shout-Out: Shiny Charagon's color palette makes it resemble Thomas the Tank Engine.
  • Silicon-Based Life: They seem to be entirely made of steel.
  • Situational Damage Attack: They learn Heat Crash, which deals more damage the heavier they are compared to the enemy. Though, considering Hyletrack is the fifth heaviest Pokémon in the entire gamenote , it's safe to say that it will be hitting for maximum damage most of the time.
  • Skull for a Head: Hyletrack, though it's made of steel like the rest of its body.
  • Status Buff: They get a great one in the form of Shift Gear, which raises their Attack by one stage and Speed by two. Three of their abilities also invoke this: Moxie raises its Attack every time it scores a kill, Speed Boosts steadily raises its Speed every turn, and Steam Engine completely maximizes it out if hit by a Fire or Water-type move.
  • Super-Speed: Apart from being already quite speedy, they can have Speed Boost or Steam Engine as abilities, both of which affect their Speed to make it even higher. Finally, one of their level up moves is Extreme Speed, which usually lets them attack first regardless of speed tiers.

    Euphoreal and Armowite

097: Euphoreal
098: Armowite

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/097euphoreal.png
Euphoreal
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/098armowite.png
Armowite

Dark-type Pokemon based on fedoras and the 'neckbeard' stereotype that comes along with them. Euphoreal is a single floating fedora which also takes the appearance of an UFO. It tricks people into wearing it so it can sap their thoughts as a form of sustenance. Euphoreal evolves into Armowite, taking a much more humanoid look but still keeping the same trollish demeanor.

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: Armowite's fedora seems to have a pair of blades sticking out. In addition, it gets Blademaster as a Hidden Ability, which increases the power of cutting-based moves like Cut, Night Slash, or Psycho Cut.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: Their standard ability is Oblivious, which protects them from infatuation and other negative effects that may prevent them from attacking.
  • Action Initiative: They learn Sucker Punch to attack first, but only if the enemy also planned on doing an attack first.
  • Badass Longcoat: So badass that is may also qualify as an ability in the form of Overcoat, which protects Armowite from harmful weather (e.g. hail and sandstorm) and Powder-based moves and abilities like Sleep Powder or Effect Spore.
  • Boss Battle: Starting from his third battle, the line becomes Edgie's strongest Mon, replacing his starter as the ace of his team (even though it will still be present during battles).
  • Cast from Hit Points: Their final level-up move is Ow The Edge, a Dark-type version of Double Edge.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Dark-type Pokémon.
  • Fedora of Asskicking: Armowite's fedora is armed with blades, and Euphoreal is a living UFO-like fedora itself.
  • Flying Saucer: Euphoreal takes this motif. You also start seeing it for the first time in the Crashed UFO area.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: Euphoreal's Pokédex entrey claims that it saps people from their thoughts by making them wear it. Fittingly, it learns Leech Life as a level-up move.
  • Heal Thyself: They learn Recover.
  • Humanoid Aliens: Armowite takes this appearance, probably to tie with Euphoreal's UFO theme.
  • The Insomniac: One of Armowite's hidden abilities is Insomnia, which prevents it from falling asleep.
  • Jack of All Stats: Apart from a low Special Attack, all of Armowite's stats are very close to each other and, while nothing spectacular, allow it to be a decent fighter on its own.
  • Life Drain: They get Leech Life.
  • Malaproper: Try saying "Am I right?" in a thick Australian accent. Sounds familiar?
  • Puppeteer Parasite: Euphoreal, according to its description, clings into people's heads and saps away their thoughts for nutrients.
  • Recurring Boss: As Edgie's main Pokémon, you'll often battle Euphoreal and later Armowite in the main story.
  • Smug Snake: Armowite's Pokédex entry mentions how it's overly confident on itself and thinks it knows everything.
  • Status Infliction Attack: They learn Memento, which faints them but harshly lowers the opponent's offenses.
  • Take That!: One towards neckbeard and White Knight culture.
  • Taking the Bullet: Armowite learns Follow Me via the Move Reminder, which redirects any attacks aimed at its teammate towards it in Double Battles.
  • Troll: Armowite is even called the Troll Pokémon, and its entry notes how it loves nothing more than making people angry.

Praunch
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/100karawn.png
Karawn
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/101mabster.png
Mabster

Water/Fighting-type Pokémon based on prawns and lobsters. Praunch starts as a small prawn with a fist at the end of its tail, which it uses to breaks rocks at the seafloor and find food. Karawn loses its tail-punch and gains a karate gear. Its meat is said to have an excellent taste, but it's price is incredibly high. Their final form, Mabster, becomes a karate master lobster who likes to showdown against other Mabster at the bottom of the ocean.

  • Action Initiative: They naturally learn Bullet Punch, Quick Attack and Mach Punch.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: Part Fighting-type.
  • Cast from Hit Points: They learn Submission via level.
  • Extremity Extremist: Most of their moveset inclines towards punching-based moves, and Mabster gets Iron Fist as a regular ability to make these even stronger.
  • Fully-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Both Karawn and Mabster wear karate outfits.
  • Healing Factor: They get Hydration as a Hidden Ability, which cures them of status effects under rain.
  • Jack of All Stats: Mabster has a great Attack stat and acceptable stats everywhere else.
  • Life Drain: Mabster gets Drain Punch via the Move Reminder, which can be booster by Iron Fist for even greater damage and, by extension, stronger life drain.
  • Magic Knight: Despite its Attack being noticeably stronger, Mabster's Special Attack is usable enough to allow its small repertory of special attacks to be of use, which works wonders with its Status Buff moves boosting both offensive stats.
  • Making a Splash: They are Water-type.
  • One-Hit Kill: Mabster's final level move is the always-lethal Guillotine.
  • Situational Damage Attack: They learn Reversal via level-up, which deals more damage the less HP they have.
  • Status Buff: They naturally learn Work Up and Shell Smash, which boosts either their offensive stats by one stage, or two plus Speed at the cost of some defense, respectively. They can also be tutored Swords Dance in case you only care about the Attack without having to worry about defense. Finally, one of their abilities can be Swift Swim, which doubles their Speed during rain.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Prawn and Karawn can have the Technician ability, which boosts the power of attacks with 60 or less Base Power by 50%.

    Tricient and Tricillion

102: Tricient
103: Tricillion

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/102tricient.png
Tricient
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/103tricillion.png
Tricillion

Rock/Steel fossil Pokémon resembling the Triceratops. Just like every fossil Pokémon, they used to live in ancient times until their extinction. Tricient used to smash rocks apart with its head to find and eat Lanshil, while Tricillion used its large head to break fights apart, acting as a some sort of "moderator" among other ancient Pokémon.

  • Cast from Hit Points: They learn Take Down, Double Edge and Head Smash, though they can avert the recoil damage with the Rock Head ability.
  • Disability Super Power: One of their normal abilities is Guts, which increases their Attack stat if suffering from a Status Effect.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: As expected from a fossil Pokémon, they are part Rock-type.
  • Dump Stat: Don't make any effort in training its Special Attack or teaching them moves of said category, as they have some of lowest Special Attack stats in the whole game. The same goes for their Speed, although in can be used on their favor with Trick Room.
  • Eat Dirt, Cheap: Tricient's Pokédex entry claims that it ate Lanshil as part of its diet, which are living rock Pokémon.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: They are part Steel-type.
  • Fossil Revival: If you want one, you'll need to revive the Horn Fossil obtained in Mt. Moot.
  • Magically Inept Fighter: They have a very pathetic Special Attack, which is why all of their level-up and breeding moves are exclusively physical.
  • Mighty Glacier: Tricillion has some pretty impressive defensive stats (110 HP and Special Defense and 130 Defense) along with an equally massive Attack of 130, but they are one of the slowest lines in the entire game. Tricient has a base Speed of 20. Tricillion? 21.
  • One-Hit Kill: Their final level-up attack is Horn Drill.
  • Recurring Element: They are part of the Fossil Pokémon group in this game.
  • Spam Attack: They naturally learn Rock Blast, which attacks between 2 and 5 times.
  • Super-Toughness: Apart from having some fantastic Defenses, they can be even tougher with Solid Rock, which reduces super-effective damage done to them by 25%
  • Status Buff: They learn Iron Defense to further enhance their great physical Defense, or Curse for boosting it along their Attack at the cost of some already useless Speed.
  • Use Your Head: They learn many head-based moves such as Head Smash, Iron Head or Zed Headbutt.

Poizookie and Toxiraptor (Dinonomu and Benomuputā)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/104poizookie.png
Poizookie
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/105toxiraptor.png
Toxiraptor

Rock/Poison fossil Pokémon based on the Oviraptor. According to its entry, Poizookie is so poisonous it causes cancer when eaten, but its species was still hunt to extinction due to being worse than Hitler. Yes, really. Toxiraptor is not poisonous on its own. Instead, its personality is so toxic that bile flows into its blood, making it poisonous. No joke.

  • Action Initiative: Toxiraptor's Secret Art, Toxiravage, has increased priority.
  • But Thou Must!: After choosing between the Horn or Tooth fossils, the fossil maniac forces you to take the Raptor Claw, Poizookie's fossil, regardless of what you do. It's noted to make its holders feel queasy.
  • Critical Hit Class: They get Merciless as a Hidden Ability, which guarantees that all of their attacks will score critical hits against poisoned foes unless they have Battle/Shell Armor or are under a Lucky Chant.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: A Rock-type line.
  • Fossil Revival: They need to be revived from the Raptor Claw to be usable in battle.
  • Fragile Speedster: Toxiraptor has a great base 125 Speed stat, tying with fellow fossil Huntabre as the fastest Rock-type Pokémon in the game. On the other hand, its has very low bulk, with none of its defensive stats even reaching the 70 points.
  • Glass Cannon: Toxiraptor has pretty good mixed offenses, reaching above 100 base points on both of them. However, it has a very low defenses and an equally lackluster HP stat, so it isn't going to survive many blows.
  • Godwin's Law: Poizookie was apparently hunted to extinction for being worse than Hitler, even though its meat is poisonous.
  • Kick Them While They Are Down: With Merciless, they can make a poisoned foe suffer even more by always scoring Critical Hits against them.
  • Magic Knight: Toxiraptor can attack from both sides with 113 Attack and 103 Special Attack stats, allowing it to go mixed in battle.
  • Personality Powers: Toxiraptor got its secondary typing by having such a toxic personality.
  • Poison Is Corrosive: One of their hidden abilities is Corrosion, which allows them to poison Poison and Steel-type Pokémon.
  • Poisonous Person: Part Poison-type, and they get Poison Point to poison any opponent that may make contact with them.
  • Recurring Element: They are part of the Fossil Pokémon group in this game.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Poizookie has red eyes and, according to its Pokédex entry, was hunt to extinction due to being worse than Hitler... somehow.
  • Secret Art: Toxiraptor is the only Pokémon with Toxiravage, a Poison-type Action Initiative attack with power similar to Extreme Speed.
  • Shown Their Work: Toxiraptor's head crest and feathers on its arms and backside are meant to mimic the Oviraptor, its inspiration who was believed to have feathers like many other dinosaurs.
  • Status Buff: It learns Nasty Plot via level-up.
  • Status Infliction Attack: One of the few Pokémon to get Toxic as a level-up move. It also learns many other moves capable of poisoning like Poison Fang/Jab/Tail or Cross Poison.
  • Take That!: Toxiraptor is a jab at Avidraco, a former contributor who was notorious among the developers and community for his narcissitic and toxic behavior. This is especially seen in Toxiraptor's lizard-like design, as Avidraco was known for making several reptillian designs.
  • Useless Useful Spell: Compared to its hidden abilities, Poison Point is a terrible ability for something designed to not take many hits.

    Sabreck and Huntabre

106: Sabreck
107: Huntabre

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/106sabreck.png
Sabreck
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/107huntabre.png
Huntabre

Rock/Normal fossil Pokémon based on the Smilodon, better known as the saber-toothed tiger. Despite looking pretty confident, Sabreck's hunting skills aren't fully developed yet, so it prefers to stay by its mother until it can hunt on its own. Huntabre used to be the apex predator of the prehistory, but were driven to extinction after wiping out more than half of the Toxiraptor population, which game them all cancer.

  • Action Initiative: They learn Fake Out, a weak priority move that can still hit hard if combined with their strong Attack stat, STAB and Tough Claws.
  • Born Lucky: One of their regular abilities is Super Luck, which increases the chances of critical hits happening.
  • Cast from Hit Points: They learn Double Edge and Overbite, the last one taking 50% of their HP in exchange for what's basically a nuke combined with Strong Jaw.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Per fossil rule, they are Rock-type.
  • Fixed Damage Attack: They learn Super Fang, which always takes half of the enemy's current HP.
  • Fossil Revival: You'll need to revive the Tooth Fossil if you want to get a Sabreck.
  • Fragile Speedster: Huntabre is very fast at 125 base Speed, tying with Toxiraptor as the fastest Rock-type Pokémon. However, while slightly bulkier than its fellow fossil, Huntabre is still very frail.
  • Glass Cannon: Has a great Attack stat of 118 and an average HP of 80, but its defenses are low, having only 70/66 on them.
  • Man Bites Man: Being based on saber-toothed tigers and all, they learn plenty of biting moves that can be boosted by their Strong Jaw ability.
  • Non-Elemental: Part Normal-type.
  • Panthera Awesome: They are based on the saber-toothed tiger, one of the most well-known extinct animals in entertainment.
  • Recurring Element: They are part of the Fossil Pokémon group in this game.
  • Spam Attack: They learn Rock Blast.
  • Status Buff: They naturally learn Agility and Hone Claws to boost their Speed/Attack and Accuracy, respectively. They also get Sand Rush as an ability, which boosts their Speed during a sandstorm.
  • Wolverine Claws: While they aren't that big compared to most examples, they get Tough Claws as a Hidden Ability, which boosts the power of their contact moves by 30%

    Pyralink

108: Pyralink

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/108pyralink.png
Pyralink

A Dragon/Fire hydra-like Pokémon. Unlike Hydreigon, who had one big head and two small ones, Pyralink inverts this by having a little one in the middle and two big ones at the sides. These heads communicate with each other via telepathy and are capable of spewing gallons of lava at the enemy, so it's probably not a good idea to anger them.

  • Cast from Hit Points: They naturally learn Flare Blitz.
  • Fixed Damage Attack: One of their level-up moves is Dragon Rage, which always deals 40 damage regardless of resistances unless the objective is Fairy-type.
  • Damage-Sponge Boss: Apart from having a respectable HP stat, Pyralink also get Multiscale as an ability, which halves the damage from any attack if they're on full HP. Combined with Roost, Pyralink can be surprisingly difficult to defeat for a physical attacker.
  • Heal Thyself: They naturally learn Roost.
  • Hot Wings: Their wings are engulfed in flames, as seen in their official art.
  • Magic Knight: Their attacking stats are very close to each other, only having 5 extra Attack points compared to their Special Attack, and both are pretty good.
  • Magma Man: Their Pokédex entry claims that they can spew magma from their mouths, and one of their abilities, Magma Armor, prevents them from being frozen.
  • Mighty Glacier: Great HP and attacking stats, decent physical defense, but very slow.
  • Multiple Head Case: They are hydras, after all. Unlike Hydreigon, it seems that the three heads are active and sapient since they communicate with each other.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: These are based on fire-engulfed hydras capable of shooting magma.
  • Our Hydras Are Different: Instead of being water/swamp-based, these hydras live in volcanoes and have fire and lava-based powers. The regenerating ability is still there though, but only if they have Roost.
  • Playing with Fire: Part Fire-type.
  • Power Floats: They get Leviate as a Hidden Ability, negating one of their main weakness.
  • Situational Damage Attack: They learn Eruption, which deals more damage the healthier they are.
  • Status Buff: They learn Toke, which raises their two offensive stats and Speed by two stages at the cost of some defenses, letting them go from Mighty Glaciers to fast Glass Cannons. Alternatively, they can be breed to know Dragon Dance, which only raises both Attack and Speed by one, which after enough boosts transforms them into Lightning Bruisers.
  • Status Infliction Attack: As they are based on hydras, which in return are based on serpents, Pyralink are capable of learning Glare to paralyze their foes. They also get Dragon Breath and Lava Plume, which has a high chance of paralyzing/burning, respectively.
  • Status-Buff Dispel: They naturally learn Clear Smog to erase status buffs from the opponent.
  • Telepathy: According to their Pokédex entry, this is how the heads communicate with each other.
  • Weak to Magic: Fittingly for a hydra (which were known to have an advantage against foes with physical attacks due to their ability to regenerate heads but had weaknesses towards magic spells), they have very low Special Defense in comparison to their better Defense and HP.

Singlets, Dubus (Shekem), and Tripsius (Gotem)

110: Dubus / Shekem (シェケム shekemu)
111: Tripsius / Gotem (ゴテーム gotēmu)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/109singlets.png
Singlets
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/110dubusfix.png
Dubus
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/111tripsius.png
Tripsius

A line based on the concept of luck and "GETS". Singlets looks like a small alarm clock with numbers for eyes. Unfortunately for it, these numbers have never matched no matter how much it tries. Its evolution Dubus is luckier, as its eyes now match and encountering one is a sign of good fortune. Tripsius acquire a slot machine look with levers for arms. Encountering one is very rare and it's recognized by Singlets and Dubus as the ultimate authority.

  • Animate Inanimate Object: They are living alarm clocks/slot machines.
  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: Tripsius learns a whooping single status move via level-up (Charge), and its pre-evolution doesn't fares much better, as it only learns the aforementioned Charge and Thunder Wave.
  • Awesome by Analysis: One of their possible abilities is Analytic, which raises the power of their attacks if they move last.
  • Blessed with Suck: One of Singlets' hidden abilities is Klutz, which prevents it from using items.
  • Born Lucky: Both Dubus and Tripsius can have Super Luck as an ability, which increases their chances of scoring critical hits. This makes them contrast with...
  • Born Unlucky: ...Singlets, who is so unlucky it can get Klutz instead of Super Luck and, according to its Pokédex entry, has never matched the numbers displayed on its face.
  • Boss Battle: Tripsius is Freddie's main Pokémon during the fifth Gym Leader Battle.
  • The Gambler: Being based on slot machines and luck, they learn many luck-based moves (i.e. multi-hit moves that may hit between 2 and 5 times randomly) and their abilities also involve luck in some form.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Dubus and Tripsius naturally learn Volt Tackle.
  • Charged Attack: They learn Charge, which makes their next Electric-type move hit with double damage.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: One of their abilities is Competitive, which sharply raises their Special Attack if the enemy inflicts them with a stat drop.
  • Jack of All Stats: Tripsius has a great Speed of 111 and average stats everywhere else.
  • LOL, 69: All of Dubus's stats are 69, except for its Speed of 66.
  • Magic Knight: Tripsius' Attack is only one point lower than its Special Attack, so it can use both efficiently.
  • No Biological Sex: They lack gender.
  • Numerical Theme Naming: A variation. Singlets (Singles = 1), Dubus (Doubles = 2), Tripsius (Triples = 3)
  • Numerological Motif: The entire line revolves around these. Singlets' main gimmick is that none of its rates (Pokédex number, base total stats, catch rate and experience yield) have matching numbers, possessing 109, 301, 205 and 42, respectively. Dubus follows this pattern by having two of its numbers in each rate matching (110, 411, 155 and 122), and Tripsius completes it by having all of its numbers match (111, 555, 111 again and 222).
  • Piñata Enemy: Wild members of the family may be found carrying Nuggets with them.
  • Psychic Powers: They are part Psychic-type.
  • Secret Art: Tripsius has Check Em, a Psychic-type multi-hit which deals damage depending on its highest offensive stat.
  • Shock and Awe: An Electric-type line.
  • Spam Attack: They learn a lot of these moves naturally (Arm Thrust, Barrage, Bone Rush, Double Hit, Icicle Spear, Pin Missile, Rock Blast, Water Star, and Tripsius' Secret Art Check Em), and their Skill Link ability guarantees that they will always hit the maximum amount of times.
  • Status Infliction Attack: Singlets and Dubus learn Thunder Wave via level-up.
  • Unstoppable Rage: Singlets tries to learn Rage ten times and its final level-up move is Frustration, possibly to reflect its anger over its bad luck.

    Miasmer and Miasmortor

112: Miasmer
113: Miasmortor

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/112miasmer.png
Miasmer
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/113miasmortor.png
Miasmortor

A line of Steel/Poison Pokémon resembling a chunk of solidified gas inside a metallic body made of wire, based on the Miasma theory. Miasmer likes to hang near places with foul odor like nuclear plants or Cacademon, adding it to its body. Miasmortor's body acquires a set of legs it uses to run at great speeds by releasing pressurized gas, which is said to smell terribly.

  • Action Initiative: They can have Prankster, which gives their non-attacking moves increased priority. In addition, Miasmortor learns Extreme Speed via level-up, which almost always goes firsy.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: They are primarily Steel-type.
  • Fragile Speedster: Miasmortor is indeed very fast as its Pokédex entry states, sitting at a great base 110 Speed stat. However, its defenses aren't that impressive.
  • Glass Cannon: Miasmortor has a great 110 Attack stat and a decent base 90 Special Attack, but average HP and low defenses.
  • Heal Thyself: They naturally learn Recover.
  • Magic Knight: As mentioned above, Miasmortor has usable attack stats on both ends, allowing it to use its entire offensive moveset without drawbacks.
  • Muck Monster: They are pieces of solidified gas held by a metallic body who are said to have a foul smell.
  • Poisonous Person: Part Poison-type. They also get Poison Point as a Hidden Ability, which may poison foes on contact.
  • Power Floats: Miasmer has Levitate as a possible ability, which lets it negate an otherwise devastating weakness to Ground-type attacks.
  • Power Up Letdown: A very big one. Miasmer has an amazing possible ability in the form of Levitate, which completely negates its double weakness outside of very specific situations and only leaves it with one weakness. Upon evolving, Miasmortor loses Levitate and gains... Effect Spore, a situational ability that requires the opponent to make contact with Miasmortor to even have a chance of activating (and considering Miasmortor's bulk, this is not very good)
  • Recurring Element: They are the Poison-type Pokémon based on some sort of contamination (in this case, the now-debunked miasma), similarly to the Grimer, Koffing and Trubbish lines.
  • Situational Damage Attack: They naturally learn Hex, which deals double damage against opponents with a Status Effect.
  • Status Buff: They naturally learn Curse and Coil. The latter is significantly more useful, as it raises the same stats as Curse without slowing them down and also gives them an accuracy boost.
  • Status Infliction Attack: They naturally learn Poison Gas and Toxic Spikes. Miasmortor also has Effect Spore, which in addition to poisoning can also paralyze or put to sleep opponents that make contact with it.
  • Super-Speed: Miasmortor's Pokédex entry claims how it uses the pressurized gas that composes its body to run at great speeds. Fittingly, it learns Extreme Speed as a level-up move.
  • Useless Useful Spell: Poison Point and Effect Spore (Miasmortor only) are this, as they require them to take multiple hits for a chance of activating, which is something they cannot do thanks to their low defenses.
    • They also get Light Metal as a Hidden Ability, which doesn't benefits them in the slightest. They are light enough that most users of Heat Crash/Heavy Slam will inflict maximum damage against them with or without Light Metal (and of course, you don't want to increase the damage they receive from users that wouldn't deal maximum damage, specially from Heat Crash which they are weak against), and also light enough that they receive pitiful damage from Low Kick and Grass Knot, specially the last one as they have a double resistance against Grass-type moves.

    Cacademon

114: Cacademon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/114cacademon.png
Cacademon

A Ground/Poison-type Pokémon that is basically just a big pile of poop. Based on The Great Mighty Poo, Cacademon loves, for some reason, to block people's paths towards their destinations. It also has a good singing voice.

  • Bequeathed Power: With Power of Alchemy, Cacademon will receive its ally's ability if it faints.
  • Blob Monster: Being a big pile of crap, Cacademon's shape is this.
  • Broken Bridge: Cacademon serves as the Snorlax of Pokémon Clover, blocking off important paths until the player can get hold of the special item used to wake it up.
  • Damage-Sponge Boss: It has one of the biggest HP stats in the entire game, having a massive 150 on it.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Part Ground-type.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: It learns Sing, just like its Pokédex entry claims.
  • Heal Thyself: Naturally learns Slack Off.
  • Magic Knight: Both of Cacademon's offenses are exactly the same, and they are also quite high.
  • Mighty Glacier: Average defenses backed up by a massive HP ensures Cacademon is going to survive many neutral hits (and maybe a few super-effective ones) and good attacking stats means it isn't passive Mon. But, being a big pile of shit, Cacademon is obviously very slow.
  • Muck Monster: Wanna guess how much shit did it take to form Cacademon?
  • One-Hit Kill: Its final level-up move is Fissure.
  • Poisonous Person: Part Poison-type. It can also have the Poison Touch ability, which may poison the enemy if Cacademon makes contact with it.
  • Power Nullifier: Learns both Gastro Acid and Slime Gulp, which nullify the opponent's ability, though the last one only works if Cacademon moves last. Not that it's very difficult to achieve.
  • Secret Art: The only Pokémon in the game with Power of Alchemy, which gives it its ally's ability when it faints during Double Battles.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Spam Attack: Learns Shitpost via level, an Outrage clone which locks Cacademon in move for two or three turns.
  • Status Buff: Learns Minimize, Acid Armor and Coil as level-up moves.
  • Status-Buff Dispel: Naturally learns Clear Smog.
  • Status Infliction Attack: It naturally learns Poison Gas and Sing, and one of its abilities is Poison Touch, which gives all of its contact moves a chance of poisoning the target.
  • Talking Poo: While we don't see Cacademon talk, its Pokédex entry mentions how it has a great singing voice, so we can assume it's capable of speech.
  • Take That!: Could be one towards "genwunners", Pokémon fans who refuse to accept modern Pokémon designs for being "unoriginal" even though the first generation had Pokémon based on living rocks, magnets, and even a Blob Monster similarly to Cacademon. Or it could be one towards Pokémon fans who criticize old Pokémon designs while defending new ones, up to saying that the Grimer line is basically just a "big pile of shit." Or it could be one towards both.
  • Toilet Humor: A poop whose cry even sounds like a fart.
  • Useless Useful Spell: Power of Alchemy is useless in single battles, as it only works on doubles.
    • It can't also make good use of Stench in battle, as it requires Cacademon to move first to activate, which is unreliable since Cacademon is very slow. It doesn't even get priority like Muk to make up for it.

Hanginy, Chancer, and Unjoy (Pinguru, Unlucky, and Joyless)

115: Hanginy / Pinguru (ピングル pinguru)
116: Chancer / Unlucky (アンラッキー anrakkii)
117: Unjoy / Joyless (ジョイレス jyoiresu)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/115hanginy.png
Hanginy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/116chancer.png
Chancer
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/117unjoy.png
Unjoy

A line of Ghost-types meant to parody "edgy" Pokémon Creepypasta, as they are undead and gorier versions of the Happiny line. Hanginy likes to hang itself from trees at night to scare people until they cry. Chancer tends to wander around cemeteries to rob fresh corpses of their hearts whenever it needs to replace the heart on its pouch. Unjoy is the only member of the family to not resemble the Happiny line, instead being a dismembered Nurse Joy's head who absorbs the energy of sleeping people to get nutrients.

  • Action Bomb: They can have Aftermath as an ability, which makes them explode and damage the enemy if they get defeated by a contact move. Considering most contact moves are physical and those are the best way to defeat them, it's safe to say that Aftermath is going to activate most of the time.
  • Black Bead Eyes: A particularly creepy example. And we aren't even sure if those are real eyes.
  • Body Horror: The entire line. While Hanginy doesn't changes that much compared to its mainline counterpart (apart from the obvious blood coming out of its eyes), Chancer's body looks cracked and much more paler, like a rotten egg, and Unjoy is just a floating head with a fleshy, raw neck sticking below it.
  • Cheshire Cat Grin: Unjoy is always smiling, but sure as heck that smile isn't reassuring in the slightest.
  • Cuteness Proximity: For some bizarre reason, they can have Cute Charm as an ability, which may make its opponents fall in love with them if hit by a contact move.
  • Damage-Sponge Boss: As they have exactly the same stats as their counterparts, Chancer and Unjoy both pack a massive HP stat, with Unjoy having the highest HP in the entire game.
  • Dump Stat: Their physical attack is so atrocious there's absolutely no reason to invest on it.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Hanginy and Chancer are creepy, being bloody re-animated corpses of Happiny and Chansey, but they're ultimately just that. Their final evolution Unjoy, on the other hand, is supposed to be the decapitated head of Nurse Joy but mostly appears as an otherworldy mass of glitchy pixels that looks like it's staring at you even when you're behind it.
  • Fixed Damage Attack: They get Night shade, which deals damage based on their level. This allows them to reliably deal damage despite their Stone Wall status, just like Chansey or Blissey would do with Seismic Toss.
  • Flying Face: Unjoy is just a Nurse Joy's head floating around.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: Unjoy learning Dream Eater ties with its Pokédex entry claiming that it drains the energy from sleeping people to sustain itself.
  • Ghostly Gape: The three of them, but specially Chancer, as it has the signature black, bottomless eyes and "screaming" mouth.
  • Grave Robbing: Chancer's Pokédex entry claims that it wanders around cemeteries at night to rob hearts from fresh corpses when it needs to replace the one it's always carrying.
  • Heal Thyself: They naturally learn Softboiled.
  • Hitodama Light: Unjoy's hair decs resemble these.
  • Irony: The best way to dispose of a Chansey/Blissey is with a physical Fighting-type move, since their low Defense and weakness to said type means it will knock them out most of the time. This line, however, is immune to Fighting-type moves (unless the user has Scrappy or used Foresight anyway).
  • Jerkass: After scaring people who see it hanged on the tree at night, Hanginy follows them until they cry.
  • Life Drain: It learns Dream Eater to damage sleeping enemies and restore HP.
  • The Medic: They learn both Heall Bell and Healing Pulse, which allows them to be this in Double Battles. Fitting for a floating nurse head, eh?
  • Nightmare Face: While Unjoy could already qualify, its backside sprite manages to be even more... unpleasant.
  • One-Gender Race: Just like their inspiration, they are exclusively female.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: These are ghostly versions of an already existing canon Pokémon or, in Unjoy's case, an anime-exclusive character.
  • Power Floats: Hanginy and Unjoy are always seen floating. Hanginy even gets Levitate as a Hidden Ability.
  • The Power of Friendship: Chancer evolves into Unjoy with high enough friendship.
  • Power Up Letdown: Upon evolving, Hanginy loses the always useful Levitate and gains the very situational Cursed Body. Cursed Body isn't a bad ability, but it only activates at random and it will either deactivate a physical move (which they can't reliably survive) or a special one (which they don't care about thanks to their gargantuan special bulk).
  • Situational Damage Attack: Learns Hex, which deals double damage against opponents with a Status Effect. Thanks to its great base power under those circumstances and STAB, Unjoy can deal pretty good damage even with its below average Special Attack stat.
  • Soul Power: Exclusively Ghost-type.
  • Squishy Wizard: They serve the exact same role as their counterparts, being the ultimate Special walls thanks to their high Special Defense and godly HP. However, just like Chansey and Blissey, they will suffer massive damage from physical attacks (unless heavily invested and, in Chancer's case, it's holding an Eviolite)
  • Stone Wall: On the Special side, as mentioned above. Special Attacks will almost always deal Scratch Damage against Chancer and Unjoy, and they can just heal whatever damage they manage to inflict. Physical attacks on the other hand...
  • Taking You with Me: Naturally learn Perish Song and Destiny Bond.
  • Tears of Blood: The entire line has them.
  • Useless Useful Spell: Their Cute Charm ability is practically useless on them, since it requires them to get hit by a contact move, most of which are physical attacks.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: They get Unnerve as a Hidden Ability, which scares the opponent enough that they aren't able to consume their berries. Can you blame them though?
  • Youkai: Unjoy is likely based on the Krasue, a floating woman's head with its internal organs sticking out of its neck.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: Naturally learn Mean Look to trap foes, which can be quite devastating against Special Attackers if combined with Perish Song.

    Frosowl and Whizzard

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/118frosowl.png
Frosowl
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/119whizzard.png
Whizzard

Ice/Flying-type Pokemon based on the Snowy owl. Frosowl is a small chick with its entire head covered in a ring of ice crystals in the shape of a snowflake. It hunts its prey at night and in the coldest hours, not having any problem dealing with blizzards. Whizzard is basically a bigger Frosowl with a wizard motif, powerful enough to make the land freeze with the flaps of its wings.

  • Blow You Away: Part Flying-type.
  • Combat Clairvoyance: One of their abilities is Forewarn, which detects the enemy's strongest move upon switching into battle.
  • Cute Owl: Frosowl definitively. Whizzard may apply, although it looks rougher than its pre-evolution.
  • Fragile Speedster: Whizzard has a great base 115 Speed, but low HP and even lower defenses to the point that even resisted attacks will surely punt a dent on it.
  • Glass Cannon: Whizzard's Special Attack is a respectable 103, and it has high-powered moves like Blizzard and Hurricane that can be made even stronger with Nasty Plot, but its low defenses mean it will break easily.
  • An Ice Person: Ice-type owls.
  • The Insomniac: One of their possible abilities is Insomnia, which prevents them from falling asleep.
  • One-Hit Kill: Their final level-up move is Sheer Cold. Coupled with Mind Reader to guarantee that their next attack will hit, it can be quite devastating.
  • Owls Ask "Who?": Whizzard's name derives from this, among other things.
  • The Owl-Knowing One: While no mention about their intelligence is ever made, Whizzard's wizard motif and appearance make it look quite wise.
  • Robe and Wizard Hat: Whizzard's closed wings makes them resemble a wizard robe, as seen in its sprites.
  • Shout-Out: To the Harry Potter series, being a wizard that is also a snowy owl (Hedwig's species).
  • Status Buff: With Snow Cloak, their Evasion gets increased during a hailstorm, making it harder to score a hit against them. They also learn Nasty Plot, Agility and Aurora Veil, and they can summon the latter instantly if they are carrying Snow Warning.
  • Weather Manipulation: One of their regular abilities is Snow Warning, which instantly summons a hailstorm when they enter into battle.

    Drapillar, Caparagon, and Mantrake

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/121caparagon.png
Caparagon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/122mantrake.png
Mantrake

Bug/Dragon Pokémon that take the appearance of different bugs combined with —you guessed it— dragons. Drapillar is a small caterpillar with a very hard shell and powerful horns whose nests are found in the darkest parts of forests. As expected from a caterpillar, Drapillar evolves into a cocoon-like Pokémon named Caparagon who, despite its inactive look, it's actually always ready to defend itself with its powerful horns. Their final form, Mantrake, is a mantis-like dragon. It's actually really peaceful, helping to modify forests so other Pokémon can make their nests. However, it will not hesitate to defend itself if threatened.

  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Primarily Bug-types.
  • Disability Superpower: Drapillar and Caparagon get Marvel Scale as a possible ability, which boosts their defenses by 50% if they get inflicted by a Status Effect.
  • Eyes Always Shut: Caparagon.
  • Fixed Damage Attack: They naturally get Dragon Rage, which always inflicts 40 HP of damage.
  • Healing Factor: The line gets Shed Skin as a Hidden Ability, which has a chance of healing them of status at the end of the turn.
  • Horn Attack: Their Pokédex entries always mention their powerful horns in one way or another. As such, they get many horn-based moves such as Horn Attack, Horn Drill, Horn Leech and Megahorn.
  • Life Drain: Gets Leech Life, which lets them recover HP every time they attack.
  • Mighty Glacier: Mantrake has good bulk consisting of great HP and decent defenses, all of it backed up by a massive base 140 Attack stat. However, its Speed is only 75 which, while it isn't the slowest, isn't the highest either.
  • One-Hit Kill: One of their final level-up moves is Horn Drill.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: These are mixed up with different insects.
  • Power Nullifier: Drapillar and Caparagon have Shield Dust as a possible ability, which removes secondary effects from any attack used against them.
  • Scissors Cuts Rock: Mantrake acquires Tinted Lens as an ability, which lets its not very-effective attacks hit by neutral damage (or not very-effective if the move was quadruple resisted), effectively making all of its attacks unresisted discounting type immunity (i.e. Dragon-type moves against Fairy Pokémon).
  • Spam Attack: As a Dragon-type, it obvious gets Outrage as a level-up move. It also learns Thrash and Fury Cutter, both of which spam attacks with different mechanics.
  • Status Buff: Mantrake learns Dragon Dance via level and can be tutored to learn Swords Dance. In addition, one of its possible abilities is Compound Eyes, which gives its attacks a 30% accuracy boost. On the other end, its pre-evolutions may have Marvel Scale to boost their Defense by 50% if they get inflicted with a Status Effect.
  • Switch-Out Move: While it doesn't learns it naturally, Mantrake's U-Turn still deserves special mention due to being possibly the strongest user of said move thanks to its great Attack stat and STAB.

    Ogrelord and Chantruth (Shokubō)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/123ogrelord.png
Ogrelord
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/124chantruth.png
Chantruth

A pair of Dark-type Pokémon who, despite not being related to each other, are considered counterparts, possibly due to both of them representing two popular Internet memes: the Shrek franchise and the Greedy Jew stereotype. Ogerlord is very protective of its swamp and will attack whoever dares to trespass it, while Chantruth tends to travel to other Pokémon's nests to make scamming bargains.

  • Action Initiative: Ogrelord learns Sucker Punch via level-up.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: One of Ogrelord's abilities is Mold Breaker, which ignores abilities that may interfere with its attacks. Chantruth also gets Infiltrator as a possible ability, which lets it ignore protective barriers like Reflect, Light Screen, Aurora Veil, Safeguard, Mist and Substitute.
  • Call to Agriculture: Ogrelord's Pokédex entry notes how it likes to cultivate its own onions.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Ogrelord learns Wood Hammer as a level-up move.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Both of them are Dark-type.
  • Con Man: Chantruth's Pokédex entry mentions its tendencies to scam other Pokémon with its bargains.
  • Gag Nose: Chantruth has a very big nose.
  • Greedy Jew: Chantruth's main theme, being based on the stereotypical big-nosed, scamming Jew found on many parts of the Internet.
  • Heal Thyself: Ogrelord naturally learns Wish, which will cure it for half of its HP the turn after it's used.
  • Impossible Theft: With Spectral Thief, Chantruth can steal all of the opponents Status Buff for itself.
  • Item Caddy: With Jewelry, Chantruth is granted a random move-boosting Gem once per battle.
  • Last Chance Hit Point: Ogrelord has Sturdy as a Hidden Ability, which lets it survive any attack from full HP or One-Hit Kill moves.
  • Mighty Glacier: Both of them have great bulk, with Chantruth being slightly more resistant than Ogrelord, and good (Chantruth) to great (Ogrelord) offensive stats (Attack for Ogrelord and Special Attack for Chantruth). However, both of them sit at a middling base 70 Speed.
  • Mythology Gag: Chantruth's Pokédex number is 124, the same as that of Jynx, a canon Pokémon that has been accused of having a racist design.
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: Ogrelord's reptilian tail and mention of living in a swamp makes it resemble an alligator or a crocodile, and it's aggressive enough to attack anyone who dares to enter its territory.
  • The Pig-Pen: Ogrelord can have Stench as an ability, which gives its contact a small chance of flinching the opponent.
  • Secret Art: Chantruth is the only Pokémon capable of learning Swindle, a stronger, Specially-oriented version of Thief.
  • Shout-Out: Ogrelord is a big one to Shrek. Both of its Pokédex entries mention it being territorial over its swamp and onions, its cry is a modification of Shrek's roar, and even two of its abilities, (Victory Star and Mold Breaker) references Smash Mouth's All Star.
  • Situational Damage Attack: Ogrelord learns both Payback and Punishment. The former doubles in damage if Ogrelord took damage that turn, and the latter increases in damage for every Status Buff the opponent has.
  • Status Buff: Ogrelord gets Victory Star, which slightly boosts the accuracy of all its moves. Chantruth also gets Nasty Plot.
  • Super-Senses: Chantruth has Keen Eye as an ability, which prevents accuracy drops and the opponent from raising its own evasion.
  • Thief Bag: Chantruth carries one. It's actually a money bag, but considering its inspiration...
  • Video Game Stealing: Chantruth learns Covet, Thief and its Secret Art Swindle via level-up, which steals the target's item in addition to dealing damage.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: Chantruth has Magnet Pull as a Hidden Ability, which prevents Steel-type Pokémon from switching out while it's on the field.

Geigh
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/232dragking.png
Dragking
Dragking got introduced in a later update, hence the sudden number change.

Unicorn-like Pokémon that take inspiration from the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic franchise and Drag Queens. Inbitween starts as a baby unicorn wearing a pair of shades who follows men around as if it was hypnotized. Once leveled enough, Inbitween evolves into Geigh, a Pegasus capable of creating rainbows just from running and whose small wings don't prevent it from flying around. On the other hand, exposing Inbitween to a Sun Stone will make it evolve into Dragkin, a lion Pokémon who tries to give the impression that its female even though everyone knows it's male.

  • Achievements in Ignorance: Both Geigh and Dragking get Oblivious upon evolving, which protects them from infatuation and other negative effects that may prevent them from attacking.
  • Anti-Magic: Geigh has Magic Bounce as a Hidden Ability, which lets it reflect status moves towards the opponent.
  • Bequeathed Power: They have Receiver as a Hidden Ability, which gives them their fainted ally's ability in double battles.
  • Blow You Away: Geigh gains the additional Flying-type upon evolving.
  • Born Lucky: The line has Serene Grace as a possible ability, which doubles the chances of their attacks' secondary effects from happening.
  • Cool Shades: Inbitween has a pair of rainbow-colored shades.
  • Counter-Attack: Dragking naturally learns Counter.
  • Drag Queen: Or rather, Drag King in the case of, well, Dragking.
  • Elemental Absorption: With Pozzed, Poison-type moves will heal Dragking instead of damaging it.
  • Everything's Better with Rainbows: The line implements rainbows in the three of its members, from Inbitween's Cool Shades to Geigh and Dragking's tails.
  • Fragile Speedster: Both Geigh and Dragking share the same great base Speed of 110, but their HP and defenses are also exactly the same, which are not good.
  • Gay Moment: Geigh naturally learns Gay Agenda, which works like Attract except that it only works on Mons of the same gender.
  • Gender Bender: Female Inbitween will evolve into male Geigh, while male Inbitween will evolve into female Dragking.
  • Glass Cannon: Geigh has a good base 100 Special Attack, while Dragking has the inverse at 100 physical Attack. However, they only have 65 base HP and defenses not reaching the 80 points. As such, they will not survive many hits.
  • Heal Thyself: They learn Moonlight.
  • Life Drain: Naturally learn Drain Kiss.
  • Luck-Based Mission: Inbitween has Moody as a possible ability, which raises a random stat each turn but lowers another one.
  • My Little Phony: Inbitween and Geigh are both parodies of My Little Pony as well as its Brony fandom. Both even have cutie marks; the former has the male symbol, and the latter a pink triangle, a symbol used by the Nazis to label homosexual prisoners.
  • One-Gender Race: Geigh is always male while Dragking is always female.
  • One-Hit Kill: Geigh learns Horn Drill via level-up.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: They are all Fairy-type.
  • Panthera Awesome: Dragking resembles a lion wearing makeup.
  • The Power of the Sun: To obtain a Dragking, you'll need to use a Sun Stone on your Inbitween.
  • Rainbows and Unicorns: Geigh.
  • Secret Art: Dragking is the only Pokémon with the Pozzed ability, which heals them if hit by Poison-type moves.
  • Shout-Out: Both Inbitween and Geigh are big references towards My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, as mentioned in My Little Phony above.
    • Dragking resembles Lion from Steven Universe, a show popular among the gay community.

    Jarape and Spilefree

Jarape
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/128spilefree.png
Spilefree

An evil monkey spirit sealed inside a sarcophagus that, for unknown reasons, took the form of a jar. Jarape is the aforementioned sarcophagus/jar, being the Electric/Rock-type prison of the Electric/Ghost Spilefree who, once given a Thunder Stone, is liberated and given free reign for spreading terror... in the form of playing pranks to people by zapping them.

  • Action Initiative: They have Prankster either as a hidden (Jarape) or regular (Spilefree) ability, which gives all of their status moves increased priority.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Jarape is Rock-type.
  • Elemental Absorption: Both of them have Volt Absorb as a Hidden Ability, which heals them if struck by an Electric-type move.
  • Fragile Speedster: On the physical side. Spilefree is lightning fast, tying with Proboskito as the fastest Electric-type Pokémon in the game at a 125 base stat. However, physical attacks will defeat it lightning fast too.
  • Heal Thyself: Naturally learns Moonlight.
  • Mischief-Making Monkey: Spilefree's entry mentions how it loves to play pranks of people by zapping them. It's probably the reason why it was sealed inside Jarape.
  • No Biological Sex: They are genderless.
  • No-Sell: With Clear Body, stat-reducing effects are not effective on Spilefree.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: This one is an electrical monkey spirit that got trapped inside a rock jar.
  • Power Floats: One of Spilefree's hidden abilities is Levitate, which makes it immune to Ground-type attacks. Extremely useful as it removes its only disadvantage as an Electric-type while retaining all of the benefits.
  • The Prankster: Spilefree was sealed away because of its tendency of playing pranks on people. Fittingly, one of its regular abilities happens to be Prankster.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Jarape is not actually a Pokémon on its own. Rather, it's a prison where Spilefree has been trapped and severely weakened. Giving it a Thunder Stone will break it free.
  • Shock and Awe: They are Electric-type.
  • Situational Damage Attack: Naturally learns Hex, which does double damage against foes with a Status Effect. It also gets Electro Ball, which does more damage the faster it is in comparison to the enemy.
  • Soul Power: Spilefree is Ghost-type.
  • Squishy Wizard: Spilefree has amazing Special Attack/Defense at 125 points, but its Defense is laughably low.
  • Status Buff: Spilefree learns both Agility and Cosmic Power. The former is significantly more useful, as it makes it practically impossible to outspeed.
  • Status Infliction Attack: Naturally learns Thunder Wave.
  • Stone Wall: A Jarape with an Eviolite can function as this thanks to its average bulk being increased to acceptable levels and plethora of status moves to use with Prankster.
  • Super-Toughness: One of Jarape's abilities is Solid Rock, which reduces the damage done by super-effective attacks by 25%
  • Taking You with Me: Can learn Destiny Bond.

Mariguana
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/131marleyzard.png
Marleyzard

Grass/Fire-type Pokémon based on geckos, iguanas and weed. Bongecko is a small gecko wearing a jamaican hat and whose tail emits a smoke capable of getting itself and other Pokémon or people high. Mariguana obtains a big appetite upon evolving, getting a severe case of munchies and being prone of getting distracted during battle. Giving Mariguana a Leaf Stone will make it evolve into Marleyzard, who is always high and always looking for the dankest kush.

  • Action Initiative: They learn Speed Weed, a Grass-type Quick Attack that can help them circumvent their low Speed.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: They get Turboblaze as a Hidden Ability, a Mold Breaker clone that prevents abilities from interfering with their attacks.
  • Big Eater: Mariguana is suffering a bad case of munchies and will eat everything it finds.
  • Boss Battle: Marleyzard is Snoop's main Pokemon in the fourth gym battle.
  • Flight: Marleyzard is always flying trying to find the dankest kush. For this reason, it can learn Fly.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: Despite not being Flying-type, Marleyzard can learn Fly just as its Pokédex entry states.
  • Green Thumb: Part Grass-type.
  • Heal Thyself: Naturally learns Rest.
  • Homage: Towards both Bob Marley and Snoop Dogg, specially Marleyzard since its name is a reference to the former and its battle cry is a sample from the latter's voice.
  • Life Drain: They learn Leech Seed, Absorb and Mega Drain via level up, though oddly not Giga Drain. It's still available as a TM though.
  • A Lizard Named "Liz": Their names include the animals they are based from: geckos, iguanas and lizards.
  • Mighty Glacier: Marleyzard has phenomenal bulk, sporting 130 HP and 110 on both of its defenses in addition to a nice 100 base Special Attack. However, it's very slow, only having 30 base Speed.
  • Oxymoronic Being: Grass-types with Fire, plants' worst enemy both in Pokémon and in Real Life, as their secondary typing
  • Playing with Fire: Part Fire-type.
  • Shed Armor, Gain Speed: They learn Toke, a clone of Shell Smash that severely powers them up while reducing their defenses. They also get Amnesia to make them even bulkier on the Special side.
  • Signature Move: The move Toke is heavily associated with them, as it involves smoking a joint and getting high.
  • Smoke Out: They can have White Smoke as an ability, which prevents their stats from being lowered.
  • Status-Buff Dispel: They learn Clear Smog via level-up.
  • The Stoner: Bongecko is always getting high with the smoke coming out of its tail, Mariguana is eternally hungry and severely distracted, and Marleyzard is permanently stoned and always looking for even more ways of getting stoned.
  • Turns Red: They have Blaze as a regular ability, which powers their Fire-type moves when on low health.

    Blobbos (Oboma)

132: Blobbos / Oboma (オボマ oboma)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/132blobbos.png

An Ice/Rock-type Pokémon taking inspiration from the Slimes in Dragon Quest. Blobbos is not designed to be useful in battle; instead, it serves the role as the Ditto of Pokémon Clover, being capable of breeding with almost every Pokémon in the game except for Legendaries, Mythicals, baby Pokémon, other Blobbos, and Mennopaws.

  • Affectionate Nickname: In-game many people reffer to them as "Blobbi", including the playable character when they find a sleeping one.
  • Breakout Character: Blobbos is one of the most popular Pokémon in Clover, even usurping the likes of the Clovour line and Clovenix as the Series Mascot.
  • Cute Slime Mook: Blobbos takes inspiration from the Dragon Quest Slime in its design, while also adding a cute clown motif. Granted it's useless in battle, but it's so darn cute (and useful for breeding) that you're probably gonna pick it up anyway.
  • Department of Redundancy Department: Its regular abilities are Huge Power and Pure Power, which do exactly the same thing.
  • Heavy Sleeper: Blobbos sleeps a lot. The first time you find it, it's sleeping, it learns Rest multiple times via level-up, one of its Secret Arts requires it to be Asleep, and it even has Comatose as a Hidden Ability, which permanently puts it in an Asleep status without actually suffering from the condition.
  • Joke Character: Blobbo's stats absolutely ensure that no matter what or how you try, it can't be of use in battle at all.
  • Kryptonite Is Everywhere: To further cement its status as a Joke Character, Blobbos has possibly the worst defensive typing in the entire Pokémon franchise, having six weakness (two of them double) and no useful resistances.
  • Pokémon Speak: Blobbos' battle cry is it saying its name.
  • Really Gets Around: Because Blobbos is in the Ditto egg group, it can breed with almost any Pokémon.
  • Secret Art: The only user of Super Snore and Blobby Bop, the former being notable for having the single highest base power of all moves in Clover. Too bad it will hit for absolutely no damage thanks to Blobbos' horrible stats.
  • Series Mascot: Despite its uselessness in battle, Blobbos has evolved into Clover's mascot, often being used in promotional artwork. It also stars in three other Clover-related fangames: Pokémon Periwinkle, a hack of Pokémon Yellow that replaces Pikachu with Blobbos, Pokémon Ultra Quartz - Let's Go! Blobbos, a hack of Pokémon Quartz that parodies Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Eevee!, and Pokémon Ultra FireRed XD, another FireRed hack that features several other Clover Fakemon.
  • Super-Strength: Subverted. Blobbos has both Huge and Pure Power as normal abilities, which doubles its Attack stat. Normally, this ability can turn average Mons to absolutely monsters in most circumstances (e.g. Azumarril in the canon games or Kuuroba in here), but Blobbos' Attack stat is so absolutely pathetic that not even this game-breaking ability can save it.

    Ayylamo and Uwotto (Uwotm8)

133: Ayylamo (アイーラモ aīramo)
228: Uwotto / Uwotm8 (ユヲトメイテ yuwotomeite)

Uwotto got introduced in a later update, hence the sudden number change.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/133ayylamo.png
Ayylamo
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/228uwotto.png
Uwotto

Alien Pokémon based on the Ayy LMAO meme and the Alien franchise. Ayylamo is a small alien hovering inside a mini-UFO who is always making some sort of laughing noise even while sleeping. Groups of Ayylamo always green themselves by yelling "ayy". Exposing Ayylamo to a Metal Coat will make it evolve into Uwotto, whose armor is made from metal not from this world. It's not a good idea to make it angry, otherwise the last thing you will hear is an "u wot" before being wrecked by it.

  • Extra-ore-dinary: Uwotto acquires the Steel-type upon evolving.
  • The Greys: Ayylamo's normal palette gives this resemblance. Its shiny form becomes a Little Green Man instead.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Ayylamo has Synchronize, which makes the enemy suffer the same Status Effect if it inflicts one towards Ayylamo.
  • Immune to Bullets: Uwotto has Bulletproof as a Hidden Ability, which prevents ball and bomb moves (e.g. Egg Bomb, Shadow Ball) from being used against it.
  • Jack of All Stats: None of Uwotto's stats drop below 80 points, though none of them go beyond 110 points either.
  • Little Green Men: Ayylamo's shiny color goes from The Greys to this.
  • Magic Knight: Uwotto has a pretty good base 110 Attack and a decent base 90 Special Attack that lets it attack from both ends.
  • Power Floats: Ayylamo has Levitate as a Hidden Ability. It loses it upon evolving into Uwotto, though it averts Power Up Letdown as Bulletproof is a good ability on its own.
  • Powered Armor: Uwotto's Pokédex entry implies that its metallic overcoat is not part of its body, but an armor shielding a different looking Pokémon.
  • Power Up Letdown: Upon evolving, Uwotto loses Ayylamo's Tinted Lens (powers up not very effective moves) and gains Heavy Metal (doubles its weight), which isn't very useful as it only works on minimal circumstances.
  • Psychic Powers: They are Psychic-type.
  • Punny Name: Uwotto's name sounds like UFO and "u wot" at the same time.
  • Scissors Cuts Rock: Ayylamo gets Tinted Lens as a possible ability, which increases the power of its not very effective moves.
  • Shout-Out: Uwotto is one towards the Alien franchise due to its head resembling a Xenomorph.
  • Squishy Wizard: Ayylamo has decent Special Stats, but poor Defense.
  • Status Buff: They have Compound Eyes as a regular ability, which boosts the accuracy of their moves by 30%. They also get other standard buffs such as Nasty Plot, Cosmic Power, Iron Defense and Shift Gear.
  • Xenomorph Xerox: Uwotto.

    Smellox

134: Smellox

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/134smellox_5.png
Smellox

A Poison-type Pokemon meant to poke fun at the foot fetish community abounding in fandoms. In its case, Smellox's feet are dirty and have a putrid smell due to its diet consisting of litter.

  • Always Accurate Attack: With No Guard, all of its attacks will have unavoidable accuracy, though the same applies for attacks used against it.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Its body is shaped like a trash bag.
  • Extremity Extremist: Most of its level up damaging moves have either to do with its feet (Stomp, Mega Kick, both Jump Kicks) or its horns (Horn Attack, Megahorn, Horn Drill)
  • Irony: Despite its entry noting its horrid smell, one of its possible abilities is Aroma Veil, which is often associated with Pokémon that emit pleasant fragrances.
  • Master of None: Apart from slightly good HP (which is mitigated by its poor defenses) and Attack stats (which isn't anything impressive), Smellox doesn't excel at anything nor can perform any role very well.
  • The Pig-Pen: Smellox is said to smell terribly, and one of its abilities is Stench, which has a chance of flinching the foe if Smellox hits it with a contact move.
  • Piñata Enemy: Wild Smellox may be found carrying Tiny and Big Mushrooms, which are needed for Move Tutors and the Move Reminder.
  • Poisonous Person: It's entirely Poison-type.
  • Smelly Feet Gag: Smellox's feet have a rancid smell that make other Pokémon run away from it.
  • Status Infliction Attack: One of its Hidden Abilities is Static, which may paralyze the foe if it makes contact with it.
  • Take That!: Towards the foot fetish community, specially the ones depicting other character's feet as smelly and with visible odor lines. No wonder why Smellox looks like a literal trash bag.
  • Waddling Head: It consists of an armless head with dirty feet and horns.

    Chasumo

135: Chasumo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/135chasumo.png
Chasumo

Fighting-type Pokémon based on sumo fighters. Despite its fierce appearance, Chasumo is actually very friendly and pacific... unless you mock its face, which makes it start a destructive rampage.

  • Action Initiative: Learns both Mach Punch (which is good) and Vacuum Wave (which sucks due to its low Special Attack), allowing it to circumvent its low Speed.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: Pure Fighting-type.
  • Berserk Button: Starts a destructive outrage when someone mocks its face. It also has Anger Point as an ability, which maximizes its Attack if hit by a critical hit.
  • Big Eater: Has Gluttony as a Hidden Ability, which lets it eat pinch berries when at 50% HP instead of 25%.
  • Heal Thyself: Naturally learns Focus Munch to heal itself, though it needs to evade damage that turn to work. It also has Slack Off as a better alternative for instant healing.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: With Defiant, any intent of reducing its stats will only make it stronger, raising its physical attack by two stages for each reduced stat.
  • Mighty Glacier: It's both physically bulky and hard-hitting, sporting 110 HP and Attack and 95 Defense. However, it's also very slow at 67 Speed.
  • Monstrous Humanoid: It looks like a chubby, bald human with gray skin.
  • No-Sell: With Hyper Cutter, Chasumo is immune to having its Attack stat reduced.
  • Status Buff: Learns both Power-Up Punch and Bulk Up via level.
  • Useless Useful Spell: Hyper Cutter is completely obsolete on a Pokémon with Defiant as an alternative like Chasumo, as reducing its Attack won't matter since it will regain it thanks to Defiant in addition to obtaining a boost too, along with some other potential boosts if it has other stats reduced.
  • Weak to Magic: Has a very low Special Defense in contrast to its physical Defense.

    Oilslam and Isissin

136: Oilslam
137: Isissin

Oilslam
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/poison_clipart_acid_rain_15.png
Isissin

Poison/Dark Pokémon inspired by a variety of Middle Eastern stereotypes like abundance of oil and terrorists. Oilslam is a glop of oil with the star and crescent for hands whose oil can sell for thousands in the black market. Isissin has the ability to replicate itself to confuse its opponents, and it's said to punish the evil and corrupted while blessing the good-willed.

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: Isissin's blades look quite sharp, don't they? They also get Blademaster as a Hidden Ability, which increases the power of their cutting moves like Cross Poison, Night Slash or Ow The Edge.
  • Action Initiative: Learns Sucker Punch via level-up.
  • Blob Monster: Oilslam looks like a puddle of oil that came back to life.
  • Cool Mask: Isissin wears one resembling a terrorist's one.
  • Combat Pragmatist: They are Dark-type.
  • Critical Hit Class: They have Merciless as one of their hidden abilities, which guarantees critical hits on poisoned foes unless they have an ability that prevents it.
  • Dual Wielding: Isissin has two swords.
  • Fog Feet: Isissin lacks legs, instead having a tail resembling a genie.
  • Heal Thyself: Naturally learn Recover.
  • Incendiary Exponent: They have Flare Boost as a regular ability, which boosts their Special Attack by 50% if they are burning.
  • Kick Them While They Are Down: With Merciless, they can make poisoned foes suffer even more by always scoring critical hits against them.
  • Magic Knight: Isissin's Attack and Special Attack stats are very close to each other by only 10 points, allowing it to work as either a physical, special or mixed attacker.
  • Middle Eastern Terrorists: Their main theme. Oilslam's arms are shaped like the star and crescent, which is a symbol many terrorist groups have taken as their own (think of Nazis and swastikas), while Isissin is a clear reference to the (in)famous terrorist group ISIS.
  • Mighty Glacier: Isissin has good HP and Special Defense, acceptable physical Defense and nicely mixed attack stats. However, it's astoundingly slow for something based on an assassin, sporting a 50 base Speed stat.
  • One-Hit Kill: Isissin learns Guillotine.
  • Poisonous Person: They are Poison-type, and one of their abilities is Poison Point, which may poison the attacker if they make contact with them.
  • Status Buff: They naturally learn Acid Armor, which sharply raise their Defense.
  • Suicide Attack: As expected from Pokémon based on terrorists, they naturally learn Selfdestruct, Explosion, Final Gambit, Holy Duty, and Memento.

    Stuffowl, Durkey, and Upchucken

Stuffowl
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/139durkey.png
Durkey
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/140upchucken.png
Upchucken

A line of Normal/Flying-type Pokemon based on the turducken., a dish consisting of a turkey stuffed with a duck which in return is stuffed with a chicken. Stuffowl starts as a small turkey chick who is always looking for things to fill itself with, no matter how large compared to its body. When given a Far Doll, Stuffowl will eat it and evolve into Durkey, becoming bigger while the Farfetch'd doll gains sentience. Give it a Tor doll, and Durkey will evolve into Upchucken, who harnesses the power of the dolls in its mouth to generate heat.

  • Blow You Away: They are Flying-type.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Upchucken learns Brave Bird, Flare Blitz and Double Edge all in succession.
  • The Dividual: The Farfetch'd and Torchic dolls stuffed inside Durkey and Upchucken are completely sentient.
  • Foil: Could be one to the Kengeon line, being a three stage Normal/Flying-type line based on food that involves chicken and have abilities that involve heat in some form (Flame Body and Drought). While the Kengeon line is nearly at the start of the Fochun Dex, the Stuffowl line is nearly last.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: Upchucken obtains Drought as its sole regular ability, which summons harsh sunlight —and therefore heat— like its Pokédex entry says.
  • Heal Thyself: Naturally learn Roost.
  • Incendiary Exponent: Upchucken has Flare Boost as a Hidden Ability, which increases its Special Attack if it's suffering from a burn.
  • Jack of All Stats: Upchucken has balanced stats all around, having good Attack, Special Attack and Speed (105, 102 and 103 respectively) and decent bulk with 87 HP and 81/81 Defenses.
  • Non-Elemental: Normal-type.
  • Secret Art: They are the only line with the Innards Out ability, which damages the enemy by how much HP they had before the finishing blow. Also, along with Corooster, Upchucken is the only Pokémon capable of learning Beak Blast.
  • Spam Attack: Learns both Thrash and Shitpost via level-up.
  • Super-Senses: Stuffowl and Durkey have Keen Eye to prevent accuracy drops and ignore the opponent's Evasion boosts.
  • Taking You with Me: When they faints, their Innards Out ability causes them to deal as much damage as they had health before the killing blow. If they get hit with a move that takes down all of their HP to 0 in one shot, expect a huge payback in return.
  • Weather Manipulation: Upchucken gets Drought once it evolves, which instantly summons harsh sunlight when entering into battle.

    Dragun, Triggedon, and Cannonance

Dragun
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/142triggedon.png
Triggedon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/143cannonance.png
Cannonance

Dragon/Steel-type Pokémon based on guns, cannons and ballistae, respectively. Dragun is incredibly aggressive and territorial, attacking invaders and prey with incredibly accurate attacks. Its evolution, Triggedon, isn't much better, as it has an even shorter temper and its tantrums are devastating enough to destroy entire forests. Their final form, Cannonance, will shoot indiscriminately if someone enters its territory, which can lead to some unfortunate events.

  • Always Accurate Attack: They get No Guard as a Hidden Ability, which makes all attacks used by and against them always land.
  • BFG: They are basically one, as their body structure practically makes them oversized guns/cannons/ballistae.
  • Boss Battle: The line is Karma Admin Leon's strongest Pokémon. Doubles as Recurring Boss.
  • Breath Weapon: Presumably how most of their attacks are launched, as they are based on guns and cannons and Cannonance's Pokédex entry mentions the use of Hyper Beam.
  • Critical Hit Class: With Sniper, the power of their critical hits is increased.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: They are part Steel-type.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: The entire line are said to be extremely short tempered, shooting indiscriminately at anyone who remotely pisses them off.
  • Infinity -1 Sword: They are the pseudo-legendary of Fochun, having a base stat of 600 and evolving very late into the game.
  • Jerkass: According to their entries, they are not the most pleasant Mon to be around, having a big case of Hair-Trigger Temper and not caring about the safety of anyone other than themselves.
  • Kamehame Hadoken: They have Mega Launcher as a regular ability, which boosts the power of their aura and pulse moves by 50% such as Aura Sphere or Dark Pulse.
  • Magikarp Power: Subverted. Usually, first stage pseudo-legendaries have lacking stats and/or movepool which is made worse by how late they evolve. While Dragun does take a while to evolve (level 40 for Triggedon and level 65 for Cannonance), it manages to hold its own weight quite nicely in the early and middle game thanks to its acceptable bulk, good base 100 Special Attack and acceptable movepool that can be made better with the use of TM and Tutors.
  • Mighty Glacier: Cannonance has excellent stats apart from its pitiful base 45 Speed, sporting a great 95/115/105 bulk and a massive base 145 Special Attack stat which ensures that it will be dealing devastating blows while taking some in return.
  • Never Say "Die": Averted. Cannonance's Pokédex entry explicitly states that explorers who invade its territory don't tend to survive due to being victims of its Hyper Beam.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Dragon-type Pokémon based on different weapons.
  • Recurring Boss: As the ace of Karma Admin Leon, you'll fight them a couple of times.
  • Recurring Element: The pseudo-legendary line of Fochun.
  • Regional Redecoration: Triggedon's entry claims that its tantrums are capable of destroying entire forests.
  • Super-Senses: They get Keen Eye as a Hidden Ability to prevent Accuracy drops and the enemy's Evasion buffs.

Steel Legendary Trio: Evacycle, Foryu, and Scytill

Foryu
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/146scytill.png
Scytill

A trio of Legendary Steel-type Pokémon, each one being a Shout-Out to a certain popular work of fiction.

Evacycle is a Steel/Psychic bicycle-like robot that references Neon Genesis Evangelion (more specifically the infamous bike horn cover of its theme song Cruel Angel's Thesis). In ancient times, Evacycle gathered an army of bikes and devastated lands with its extreme honking.

Foryu is a Steel/Fighting Pokémon composed of many magnets, acting as a reference to the Bane incarnation from The Dark Knight Rises. It's really proud of its strength and posses a fascination with aircraft and destruction.

Finally, Scytill is a Steel/Ghost windmill that plays homage to Don Quixote. It's said to appear before those who are ready to die, and its scythes are sharp enough to easily cut through steel.

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: Scytill's blades are sharp enough to cut through steel.
  • Action Initiative: Scytill learns both Shadow Sneak and Spook Out via level-up.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: Foryu is part Fighting-type.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Evacycle learns Flare Blitz.
  • Damage-Sponge Boss: Evacycle has one of the highest HP stats in the entire game, sporting a massive 150 on it.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: As said before, the three of them are Steel-type.
  • Fragile Speedster: Speed is Scytill's best stat, moving at a lighting fast base 150 (for reference, that's the same as Electrode), but its bulk, while not extremely fragile as most examples, is still average at best at it will not let it survive many hits, specially if they target its low Special Defense.
  • "Get Back Here!" Boss: Evacycle continues the tradition of having a Roaming Legendary jumping from area to area and fleeing after the first turn of battle.
  • Glass Cannon: Scytill has average bulk (even more so on the Special side), but a great base Attack stat of 135.
  • Gravity Master: Foryu's signature ability instantly summons Gravity on the battlefield, which negates Ground-type immunity, reduces everyone's Evasion and disables certain attacks that involve leaping into the air like Fly or Jump Kick.
  • The Grim Reaper: Scytill is presumably Clover's version of the Grim Reaper, being a Ghost-type Pokémon who is said to appear before those who are ready to die. Even its turbines are shaped like scythes.
  • Heal Thyself: Scytill naturally learns Roost.
  • Jack of All Stats: Apart from an astounding HP, all of Evacycle's stats sit at a neutral base 90, not low but not high either.
  • Metal Slime: Evacycle will flee after the first turn of battle or, if it's faster than you, before you even land a hit. Fortunately, trapping moves and abilities work fine with it, and be thankful that it has Run Away only as a Hidden Ability.
  • Mighty Glacier: Foryu has average HP and Speed, but it gets great defenses to remedy the former and a fantastic base 150 Attack stat to punch everything on its slow way for good damage.
  • No Biological Sex: Evacycle and Scytill are genderless. Averted with Foryu, who is always male due to being based on a male character.
  • No-Sell: Scytill's Hyper Cutter negates any Attack drops the opponent might try to inflict.
  • Olympus Mons: They are the first Legendaries to appear in the National Pokédex.
  • Power Floats: Scytill's regular ability is Levitate.
  • Psychic Powers: Evacycle is part Psychic-type.
  • Secret Art: Foryu is the only Pokémon with the Big Guy ability, which summons Gravity upon entering the battlefield. It's also the only Pokémon that learns For You, a Fighting-type move that always decreases Defense.
  • Shout-Out: To Neon Genesis Evangelion (Evacycle), The Dark Knight Rises (Foryu) and Don Quixote (Scytill)
  • Sinister Scythe: Scytill's turbine are made from these, going with its Grim Reaper motif.
  • Situational Damage Attack: The three of them learn Heavy Slam (plus Heat Crash for Foryu), which deals more damage the heavier they are compared to the objective. Foryu is arguably the best user among the trio due to being the heaviest and getting Heavy Metal as an ability, which doubles its weight to make them even more powerful.
  • Soul Power: Scytill is part Ghost-type.
  • Status Buff: The three get Autotomize via level up, which increased Speed and decreases weight. Evacycle also has Shit Gear and Cosmic Power, Foryu gets Bulk Up, and Scytill learns Swords Dance.
  • Taking You with Me: Scytill learns Destiny Bond via level up. The three of them also have Explosion as their final level move.
  • Visual Pun: Apart from being a reference to Bane's dialogue in the plane crash scene of The Dark Knight Rises, Foryu's name sounds like "Four U", and its body is composed of four magnets shaped like letters U.
  • Weak to Magic: Scytill has acceptable HP and average physical Defense, but its Special Defense is far weaker and unimpressive.
  • Weather Manipulation: Scytill has Air Lock as a Hidden Ability, which negates effects from weather towards itself and opposing Pokémon.
  • Wreathed in Flames: Evacycle's regular ability is Flame Body, which may inflict a burn if the enemy makes contact with it.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: Foryu gets Magnet Pull as its regular ability, which prevents Steel-type Pokémon from switching out.

    Baddon

147: Baddon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/147baddon.png
Baddon

A trio of dragon/cat-like Pokémon living in a box, inspired by Bad Dragon-brand of dildos. In the past they were used as tools of war, having them penetrate enemy forts with powerful thrusts. Nowadays they are kept hidden.

  • Armor-Piercing Attack: They get Infiltrator as a Hidden Ability, which lets them ignore barriers such as Reflect, Light Screen or Substitute.
  • Final Boss: Shares this role with You Mom's Masdawg, as while the latter could be considered their Signature Mon, Baddon is arguably their strongest thanks to its literal Legendary stats.
  • Heal Thyself: Learns Recover.
  • Magic Knight: They posses amazing mixed offenses, having a great base 136 Attack stat backed up by a 126 Special Attack. Expect those Outrages and Draco Meteors to hurt equally.
  • Mighty Glacier: Amazing defenses that make up for their average HP and great offensive stats on both ends, but very slow.
  • Olympus Mons: They are Legendary.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Dragon-type Pokémon that draw inspiration from cats and dildos.
  • Out with a Bang: Their main method of attacking is penetrating the enemy with powerful thrusts. Considered what they are based on, it's obvious what is the nature of said thrusts.
  • Phallic Weapon: They are dildos shaped like cats, literally making them this.
  • Secret Art: The only users of Dildo Cannon, a multi-hit Dragon-type move.
  • Spam Attack: Their Skill Link ability guarantees that they will hit the maximum amount of times when using these, although it only learns two moves to abuse Skill Link with.
  • The Spiny: They get Rough Skin as an ability, which damages foes who make contact with them.
  • Stand Your Ground: They have Suction Cups as a Hidden Ability, which lets them stay on the field against moves that would normally force them to switch out.
  • Status Buff: They learn Coil, Dragon Dance and Nasty Plot as level-up moves, letting it perform many different roles with ease.
  • Useless Useful Spell: Subverted. Despite only learning two moves that benefit from Skill Link, those two moves also happen to be Bone Rush and Dildo Cannon, which when combined with Skill Link basically makes them stronger, Substitute and Sturdy-proof Earthquakes and Outrages while also avoiding the latter's drawback of locking you into the move and confusing you at the end of it. Granted, Bone Rush has slightly less accuracy than Earthquake, but the little extra power and other benefits definitely make up for it.

    Energy Duo: Endranther and Vivaiger

148: Endranther
249: Vivaiger

Vivaiger got introduced in a later update, hence the sudden number change.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/148endranther.png
Endranther
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/249vivaiger.png
Vivaiger

A Legendary duo representing the energy of living beings. Unlike Xerneas and Yvetal, who are Life and Death themselves, Endranther and Vivaiger are more akin to the before and after; Vivaiger represents the spark of life, which happens before but is what starts the energy of a living being. Conveniently, Endranther is the decay and rot of death, which only begins after the energy has been drained from a living being. They once engaged in a chaotic battle on a faraway region that ended with Endranther fleeing, with terrible consequences for the town it landed on...

  • Action Bomb: Endranther has Aftermath as a Hidden Ability, which makes it explode when the opponent knocks it out with a contact move and damages them.
  • Disability Superpower: Vivaiger has the Clover exclusive Flare Heal as one of its hidden abilities, which lets it recover health when burned and also disables the status' attack drop.
  • Great Offscreen War: Both of them had a battle in a faraway region that ended with Endranther escaping. Apparently, Vivaiger is still hunting it down.
  • Healing Factor: Both of Vivaiger's hidden abilities function as this: Regenerator cures it for a third of its HP every time it switches out of battle, and Flare Heal cures it for 1/8 of its HP every turn if it's burned.
  • Heal Thyself: Both of them learn Recover.
  • Level Drain: Endranther naturally learns Strength Sap, which reduces the opponent's Attack and heals Endranther.
  • Life Drain: Endranther learns Leech Life and its Secret Art Decay Drain.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Both of them have solid defenses and Speed that puts them on par with Masters Of All like Mew, Celebi, or Jirachi. However, their offenses are much more stronger, with Endranther sporting a massive base 150 Attack and Vivaiger being the same on its Special Attack.
  • Magic Knight: Both of them have a very strong offensive stat of 150 while the other one is a not so amazing but solid base 100, which lets them run coverage moves of their lower offensive stat efficiently.
  • Mana Drain: Endranther has Pressure as a Hidden Ability, which drains two Power Points from the opponent's moves instead of one.
  • No Biological Sex: As with most Legendaries, neither of them has gender.
  • Olympus Mons: They are Legendaries.
  • Panthera Awesome: Endranther is based in a panther while Vivaiger is based on a tiger.
  • Playing with Fire: Despite not being Fire-type, Vivaiger learns many Fire-type moves via level up such as Lava Plume, Will-O-Wisp, Sacred Fire and Eruption, in addition to having an ability often associated with Fire-type Pokémon.
  • Poisonous Person: Endranther is pure Poison-type, and its regular ability is Poison Point, which may poison the opponent if it makes contact with Endranther.
  • Secret Art:
    • Endranther is the only Pokémon capable of learning Decay Drain, a strong Poison-type Life Drain move.
    • Vivaiger is the only Pokémon with Overenergize, an extremely powerful Electric-type move that harshly lowers its Special Attack every time is used.
  • Shock and Awe: Vivaiger is Electric-type.
  • Wreathed in Flames: Vivaiger's regular ability is Flame Body, which may burn the opponent if it makes contact with it.

    Notridley (Ridleymasen)

149: Notridley / Ridleymasen (ヤドヤマセン ridorimasen)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/149notridley.png
Notridley

A Dragon/Flying Pokémon who is definitely not Ridley from Metroid. Notridley is capable of soaring through space on its wicked wings, just like the real Ridley (though it's definitely not him). Despite appearing mindless, Notridley is surprisingly intelligent. Also, it's not Ridley.

  • Blow You Away: Part Flying-type.
  • Disability Superpower: Has Steadfast as a Hidden Ability, which increases its Speed every time it gets flinched.
  • Kill It with Ice: Has a double weakness against Ice-type moves, which can severely put a dent on it.
  • Life Drain: Learns Oblivion Wing via level up, which was Yvetal's Secret Art in the canon games.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Notridley has a solid bulk of 90 HP and 97/95 defenses coupled with a fantastic 120 Attack and 115 Speed, so expect it to survive some neutral hits and dish out damage pretty fast.
  • Mana Drain: Has Pressure as its sole regular ability, which drains two Power Points from the enemy's moves.
  • Olympus Mons: Is a Legendary.
  • One-Hit Kill: Its final level-up move is Horn Drill.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: This one is a charact— err, is based on character from another Nintendo game.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: No, that's not Ridley. He's clearly got a mustache!
  • Situational Damage Attack: Somewhat. Notridley naturally learns Heavy Slam, which does more damage the heavier Notridley is compared to the enemy. However, Notridley's weight is so massivenote  that there's only a handful of Pokémon who will not be on the receiving end of a maximum-powered Heavy Slam coming from Notridley, making it the perfect tool for dealing with three of its main weakness: Fairy, Ice and Rock-type Pokémon.
  • Smarter Than You Look: According to its Pokédex entry, Notridley may look mindless, but he is intelligent.
  • Spam Attack: Typically from a Dragon, it learns Outrage via level.
  • Status Buff: Gets Cosmic Power and Dragon Dance via level up, either making it bulkier or even stronger and faster than it already is.
  • Super-Senses: With Keen Eye, its accuracy cannot be lowered while ignoring the opponent's evasion boosts.
  • Super-Speed: Naturally learns Extreme Speed.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: Its Pokédex claims that it's not Ridley.

    Demiwaifu

150: Demiwaifu

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/150demiwaifu_removebg_preview_1.png
Demiwaifu

A Fairy-type Pokémon who was once worshiped as a goddess of beauty. Demiwaifu's body is composed of many parts from other Pokémon originating from vanilla games, most consisting of female-looking ones who are often subject to Rule 34 by the fanbase such as Gardevoir, Lilligant, Lopunny, or Blaziken.

  • Action Initiative: Both of its hidden abilities have to do with these: Triage gives increased priority to its Heal Thyself and Life Drain moves, while Queenly Majesty prevents these moves from working if used against it.
  • Born Lucky: It has Serene Grace as its regular ability, which doubles the chances of its moves' secondary effects from occurring.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Its final level-up move is Light of Ruin, which deals massive Fairy special damage but has a strong recoil of half the damage inflicted.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Is appropriately a mashup of many female-looking Pokémon that are often sexualized by the fanbase. Unlike most Legendaries, it has a gender (100% female). (It also has some traits from Blaziken, because it's such a hot chick.)
  • Department of Redundancy Department: Learns both Fleur Cannon and Lactose Shot via level-up, both of which are exactly identical on typing and stats.
  • Life Drain: Naturally learns Draining Kiss.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Demiwaifu has excellent Special Attack and Speed (131 and 115 respectively) to deal reliable damage against its opponents. And its bulk? Well, don't let its fragile appearance deceive you, because all of its defensive stats are over 100, with the highest one being a phenomenal 131 Special Defense.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: Demiwaifu uses elements from Gardevoir, Meloetta, Lopunny, Roserade, Mawile, Lilligant, Diancie, Florges, Misdreavus, and Blaziken into its design, and it's worshiped as the goddess of beauty as the result.
  • Olympus Mons: One of the Legendary Pokémon of Clover.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: Pure Fairy-type.
  • Secret Art: Is the only Pokémon capable of learning the canonical Fleur Cannon. Amusingly, it also learns Lactose Shot which is completely identical except by name and was introduced in Pokémon Clover before Fleur Cannon became a thing in mainline Pokémon games.
    • Demiwaifu is also the only Pokémon that learns Light of Ruin naturally, since the only other user (Flameboyan) only gets it via breeding.
  • Status Buff: Learns Calm Mind via level-up.
  • Useless Useful Spell: Triage, since it only affects Draining Kiss (very weak without significant boosts, and Demiwaifu has much stronger Fairy-type moves to use) and Wish (which won't heal it instantly, and Demiwaifu is not suited as a Wish Passer). Serene Grace and Queenly Majesty are better abilities for it.

    Clovenix (Clovenia)

151: Clovenix / Clovenia (クローベニア kurōbenia)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/151clovenix.png
The game mascot of Pokemon Clover, as well as the creator of Fochun. Known as the Pokémon who never dies, Clovenix is capable of resurrecting itself, rising from its own ashes every time is in peril.

  • Born Lucky: Being based on clovers, it's not surprising that one of its abilities would be Super Luck, which increases the critical hit chance of its moves.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Learns both Flare Blitz and Brave Bird as level-up moves.
  • Charged Attack: Learns Solar Blade, which requires two turns to perform unless harsh sunlight in present in the battlefield.
  • Clothing Appendage: The clovers on Clovenix's chest make up a comically large bowtie.
  • Expy: Of Ho-Oh, being Fire-type Legendaries based on The Phoenix who have Regenerator as one of their abilities, are one of the few Pokémon that learn Sacred Fire, and even are found carrying the Sacred Ash with them when caught.
  • Green Thumb: Half Grass-type.
  • Heal Thyself: Learns Recover, Roost and its Secret Art Regenerate to instantly recover health. Regenerate has the added benefit of curing status effects, but the former two have more Power Points, so its up to the player decide which move to use.
  • Healing Factor: Its regular ability is Regenerator, which heals it for 33% of its health when switching out.
  • Imaginary Friend: Its original form, as it was one to Vyglass before the boy's memes made it a Not-So-Imaginary Friend and Physical God.
  • Life Drain: Learns Oblivion Wing via level-up.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Despite having the same Base Stat Total as Arceus (who has 120 points on every stat), Clovenix is more inclined towards offense than defense, being slightly stronger than Arceus (125 on both offensive stats) and much faster (150 base Speed). However, its bulk is still acceptably high, having a great 120 base HP and 100 on both of its defenses, so it's still reliably fast, strong and hard to kill, specially with all its Healing Factor and Heal Thyself tools in its arsenal.
  • Magic Knight: Both of its offensive stats sit at a strong base 125
  • Olympus Mons: Obviously, being the cover Legendary of the game. Also has the powers to prove it.
  • Oxymoronic Being: Its both Grass and Fire-type, who aren't known for being too kind to each other.
  • The Phoenix: Its Pokédex entry claims that Clovenix will always resurrect itself from its ashes every time it dies, making it impossible to permanently kill (though you can still faint it in battle)
  • Physical God: Clovenix is the creator of Fochun, who created it along and for Vyglass so they could have a beautiful world for themselves. Basically, Clovenix is Clover's version of Arceus.
  • Playing with Fire: A dual-type Fire-type.
  • Purposefully Overpowered: It has a Base Stat Total of 720, which is the same as Arceus, the Physical God from the original franchise and the highest from any other Pokémon in Clover. As it's basically Fochun's creator, its more than a coincidence.
  • Reality Warper: Created Fochun for its master/creator Vyglass in the hopes of creating his ideal world. It wasn't close to his purity ideals, and it instead causes Vyglass to try and reawaken Clovenix to remake Fochun.
  • Resurrective Immortality: According to its entry, Clovenix is capable of dying, but it will just resurrect from its own ashes upon doing so.
  • Secret Art: It's the only Pokémon capable of learning Regenerate, which not only heals it similarly to other Heal Thyself moves from the franchise, but also removes status effects. Also, like other clover-based Pokémon, is one of the only ones capable of learning Futaba Break, a Grass-type move that destroys defense-buffing barriers.
  • Signature Mon: Of Vyglass. Fitting, as it was his Imaginary Friend before become an actual Pokemon.
  • Status Buff: Learns both Dragon Dance and Quiver Dance to boost its Speed and either Attack or Special Attack, making physical or special sets equally viable.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: It has Anticipation as a Hidden Ability, which warns it if the opponent is carrying a super-effective move or a One-Hit Kill move.
  • True Final Boss: Clovenix is Vyglass' Signature Mon during his battle atop Mt. Clover. Ironically, it's the Pokemon he starts the final battle off with.
  • Tulpa: Was originally just the Imaginary Friend of Vyglass, but his memes eventually allowed Clovenix to become not-so-imaginary and oh-so-powerful.
  • Useless Useful Spell: Anticipation is this, as the ability to know if the opponent is carrying a super-effective move means nothing on a Pokémon who can usually shrug off potent hits thanks to its stellar bulk and many ways to recover health. Super Luck and specially Regenerator are much more useful abilities.
  • Walking Spoiler: It's hard to say anything about it plot-wise without spoiling the endgame.
