Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For PokĂ©mon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the PokĂ©mon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the PokĂ©mon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a PokĂ©mon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@ Whirl: Any major relationship from soap operas or teen dramas could qualify for Official Couple Ordeal Syndrome, since that's the whole point of those TV shows.

@ Divine Flame: The Mafia of Chefs could face opposition from Shido Itsuka and Ichika Orimura, who like cooking to comfort their friends. Big Eaters like Ash Ketchum, Kirby and Homer Simpson wouldn't take kindly to the Mafia either. The Mafia would show interest in Cecilia Alcott for her awful cooking.
@ Patrickthekid: Star could be friends with the Spirits from Date A Live, who fit the Magical Girl Warrior archetype to varying extents. This would draw unwanted attention from Isaac Westcott, who would cooperate with Toffee in attempting to gain their powers.
Ichiro and Ryoko are almost ready. Anything else I should add?

  • Theme Song: "Bokura no Sekai"
  • Portfolio: Love at First Sight, Deconstructed Chuunibyou, Separating and Later Getting Back Together, Dark and Troubled Past, Official Couple
  • Domains: Love, Separation, Reconciliation, Self-Improvement, Devotion
  • Allies: Kaito Kirishima and Ichika Takatsuki, Haruto Tsukishiro, Harry Potter, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Mario, Yugi Muto, Yami Yugi, Harry and Sally benevolent gods in the Houses of Love and Family
  • Enemies: Bullies in general, the House of Tainted Love (except for Erina Joestar)
  • Conflicting Opinion: Homer and Bart Simpson, Sam Malone and Diane Chambers, Ross Geller and Rachel Greene
  • Break-Up/Make-Up Scenario has been a staple in character-driven storytelling since time immemorial, as it serves to test the strength of the heroes' feelings, and to make the audience wonder whether they’ll come back together and have a Happy Ending. Problem is, this scenario is used so often in fiction that it would be easy to expect it whenever a story focuses on the relation of the couple. Over years, it went from a major plot twist to a convention, or even a cliché. The Pantheon's higher-ups debated who would be the most appropriate holder for this trope. Fortunately, they didn't have to search for long, as Ichiro and Ryoko proved to be the right candidates.
  • Their story was one of the most poignant in recent memory: after a traumatic experience with his chuunibyou past, Ichiro attempted to be normal, until he met Ryoko, who still harbored the same fantasies he previously indulged into. At first, Ichiro tries to keep up her distance from Ryoko but learns to grow closer to her. Things go south when a Gang of Bullies found out about Ichiro's chuunibyou past and threatened tell everyone about unless Ichiro abandoned Ryoko. As you can expect, this caused a lot of grief to both Ichiro, who goes through a period of self-loathing, and Ryoko, who got tired of the real world and wanted to live in her fantasies forever. Fortunately, Ichiro reached out to Ryoko and promises to her that they will confront reality together. Among cheers of celebration and Tears of Joy, Ichiro and Ryoko ascended.
  • Ichiro and Ryoko quickly became friends with Kaito Kirishima and Ichika Takatsuki, who weren't all that different from them, aside from one tiny detail. They enjoy going on double dates, which involve exploring exotic places, eating fancy meals, watching movies and playing video games. Another couple fond of Ichiro and Ryoko were Harry and Sally, who were shocked that despite their young age, Ichiro and Ryoko endured a harsher and more difficult experience to reaffirm their relationship. Harry and Sally ultimately decided to become their mentors in the ways of love, but there are times when Ichiro and Ryoko come off as more mature and reasonable than their adult counterparts, at least, they don't complain as much whenever they visit the House of Food.
  • Ichiro and Ryoko were amazed by the existence of magic, space travel and epic adventures in the Pantheon, as they were the things they fantasized about in their chuunibyou days. Many feared their stay in the Pantheon would cause Ichiro and Ryoko to have a relapse, but fortunately, no such thing has happened. As a method of precaution, Haruto Tsukishiro offered them the chance to visit the dreamscape, where they could live out their fantasies in a healthy manner. While Ichiro and Ryoko accepted the opportunity and visit the dreamscape as much as they are able, they have come to understand that dreams are only valid if people have the will to make them a reality, much to Haruto's satisfaction, as that was the lesson he was trying to teach them.
  • Their stay in the Pantheon have earned them friendships in gods who teach them lessons about life. For example: Mario taught them to seek joy in their activities, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda taught them to appreciate the bond they made, even Trip and Grace confided in them the many mistakes they have made in their marriage and advised them not to repeat them. Also, their chosen trope earned the friendship of Yuya Sakaki and Yuzu Hiiragi, whose relationship was an important factor in their series; not to mention as hard as their experience was, Ichiro and Ryoko didn't suffer through a war between dimensions.
    • They also befriended Samurai Jack and Ashi. More specifically, Ichiro connected with Jack because of their struggles to overcome depression while Ashi was worried that Ryoko could have lost her life in the climax of her story and gave her some words of support.
  • They don't like bullies. Bullying is not acceptable. Bullies are the reason why they broke up in the first place. Any bullies shall earn Ichiro and Ryoko's eternal enmity. Hearing of their experience with bullies, Yugi and Pharaoh Atem were quick to befriend the young lovers and invite them to their card games.
  • Ichiro and Ryoko's problems in the mortal plane were not at all helped by the ineptitude shown by their parents. The Heroic Protectors of Family took pity on the young lovers and placed them under their collective protection, giving them solance and counsel whenever they need it.
    • They faced a moral dilemma when confronting Homer and Bart Simpson, who shared one of the most dysfunctional father-son relationships in the Pantheon. Unable to decide who was the perpetrator and who the victim, given both were prone to episodes of sudden Jerkassery, Ichiro and Ryoko consulted the Heroic Protectors of Family and agreed to let the Simpsons to their devices, much like Mario had done before them.
  • They are confused as to why Sam Malone and Diane Chambers share the same temple even if their relationship ultimately didn't work, not to mention they can barely spend five minutes without having some pointless argument. While there is hope for Sam and Diane to improve their relationship, the young lovers still keep their distance from them, as they have a very turbulent relationship and that's the last thing the young lovers need at the moment.
    • Their encounter with Ross Geller and Rachel Greene even more awkward. Aware that Ross and Rachel took their relationship problems into decades-long absurdity, Ichiro and Ryoko said that they were glad they finally got their act together but they kinda expect they would break up, as their relationship looked kinda toxic and damaging after ten years. Offended by such comment, Ross and Rachel haven't contacted the young lovers since.
  • Before anyone asks, they are not related. Their similar last names are just a coincidence, so don't get any funny ideas. Many deities have joked that if they ever tie the knot, Ryoko will at least have the benefit of going by her maiden's name.
  • Exclusive to Ichiro:
    • Ichiro was amazed to find that, as hard as his situation was, it was nothing compared to Shido Itsuka's duty to protect the Spirits. Needless to say, a friendship bloomed between Ichiro, Shido, Haruto and Kaito, motivated in no small part to their attitudes and voices. Still, Ichiro can't help but think that Shido, Kaito and Haruto have the same situations that he only experienced through his chuunibyou fantasies.
    • While is not what most people would call an everyman, Ichiro still gets along fine with those that fit the archetype, like Spider-Man and Yuu Haruna, as he can relate to their love problems, well except for one thing. He is also friends with regular men chosen by destiny to become heroes like Link, who accepts his heroic destiny with dignity and honor, and Luke Skywalker, who always wanted to be part of something greater than himself. By the time Ichiro earned Luke's trust, the Jedi shared his darkest secret: in a rare moment of fear and distrust, he attempted to kill his nephew, with disastrous consequences for the galaxy. Ichiro, while naturally unnerved by such revelation, understood where Luke was coming from and that he had tried to fix things. Hopefully, it will all work out just fine.
  • Exlusive to Ryoko
    • Because of her shyness and awkward demeanor, Ryoko had trouble making friends in the Pantheon. That changed, however, when she came across Fuuka Akitsuki, who was exhausted from a singing practice and met Ryoko when they visited a restaurant in the House of Food. Fuuka was able to break through Ryoko's shell and they related on many things, such as their love problems and desire for self-improvement. Tohka Yatogami, having received an invitation from Fuuka, joined them for dinner. At first, Ryoko was a bit scared from Tohka, as she had the same voice of one of the people who bullied her, while Tohka was confused that Ryoko spoke with the voice of Rinne Sonogami. Fortunately, Tohka earned her trust fairly quickly and the three have been inseparable ever since.
    • Honoka Mitsui, having heard of Ryoko's problems, came to console her and gave her support in anything she needs to improve her relationship with Ichiro. She even said that while Ryoko speaks like Mayumi Saegusa, she behaves like Kokoa Watatsumi. Ryoko earned similar support from Mayuri, who loves Shido enough to sacrifice her life for him. Knowing she would have likely died had Ichiro not reached her in time, Ryoko thanks her new friends for believing in her.

Any suggestions and/or feedback are welcome.

[up][up] Well, I don't know much about all the potential partners so I need help on choosing the right partner. I can't know about all the works from all the deities in the Pantheon. I'll have a poll because I need some help; once I get the right partner,I'll be able to write more: grin for Hermione Granger and cool for Chosokabe Motochika ,

No Place for Me There doesn't have someone. I've heard there's a trope namer but I going with another since I'm a bit more familiar with it. King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule. Maybe, or there's something that would fit him.

[up][up]I think that's a bit too vague of an answer.

I still think Hiro and 02 should get Last Kiss. But their current trope is not bad, just think the other one might be better.

I wonder if the profile for the parasites is accidentally appropriate that they won't have Hiro and Zero Two with them considering what happens in the finale.

@ Master Hero: Chihiro Fujisaki can most certainly relate to their stance on bullying. After all, he wouldn't have developed a meek demeanor and deep rooted issues regarding his own strength.

Looking at Gmodder 1234's sandbox and having seen a bit of Gemini Sunrise in Project Ă— Zone, there could be a chance of her profile showing up. Maybe, who knows, probably helps that her game actually came oversees (at least, judging from a quick dig). But, speculations aside:

First look at Nergigante. Doing this profile made me realize the lack of Elder Dragons in the MonHun line up.

Nergigante, Dragon God of Being One's Own Counter (The Extinction Dragon, Nergi, Nergal, Swolegigante, Spiky Boy)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mhw_nergigante.png
  • Potential House: Somewhere in Combat?
  • [tup]s:
  • Greater God
  • Symbol: Its Hunter Icon
  • Theme Song: Even Elder Dragons Tremble - Nergigante
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Devouring other Elder Dragons, Increasingly Lethal Enemy, Flagship Monster of Monster Hunter: World, Covered in regenerating spikes which it can launch, Lightning Bruiser, The Berserker, The Desperation Divebomb, Background Music Override
  • Size: 1644.83 cm - 2273.19 cm
  • Domains: Dragons, Ferocity, Spikes, Regeneration, Brute Force
  • Followers:
  • Allies:
  • Rivals: The Dragonborn, the Goliath
  • Enemies: All Elder Dragons and other creatures of similar strength, Miraak, any that comes across its path
  • Opposed by/Opposes: The Monster Hunters and others of their profession, users of electricity and the House of Fire And Electricity (latter only)
  • While deities were out on the accustomed expedition through the Bestiary led by Steve Irwin, the group came across various white spikes assumed to be teeth but further inspection proved it to not be the case. Not a second later, some mortals attending the expedition were almost crushed by a falling carcass riddled with the same spikes. After returning and telling them what happened, the House of Science wasted no time on analyzing the spikes (for good or bad purposes it depends) while the House of Hunters were tasked with tracking down what caused such a thing. After getting a lead on the creatures whereabouts, the pursuers made their way to the entrance of the House of Combat, where they were greeted with a hulking figure battling against a Gogmazios. As soon as they tried to close in the beast dive bombed towards them and gave them one hell of a beating before taking off. By that point, the title of Being One's Own Counter had already been bestowed.
  • The top classifications of monsters are the Elder Dragons; a remarkably diverse set of creatures despite its name and known for the destructive power each member possesses. Yama Tsukami, for example, a floating octopus-like Elder Dragon overgrown with flora is capable of clearing out an entire forest with its vortex of a mouth. As you can imagine, not many monsters are out to pick fights with them much less think of using them as a food source. But there have been some cases. The ever voracious Deviljho will devouring anything in its vicinity, including Elder Dragons, and the brutally fast Rajang actually devours Kirin for their horns which likely resulted in its affinity with the Thunder element. But there's a monster out there whose diet is solely Elder Dragons for their rich bio energy, and such a monster happens to be one itself: Nergigante.
  • At first glance Nergigante looks like there's nothing going for it. No special power like control over the weather and storms like Amatsumagatsuchi or Kushala Daora, it's far from being the largest Elder Dragon there is with the Dalamadur or Zorah Magdaros, or even the most potentially catastrophic in nature like Dire Miralis. Nergigante? Its regenerative spikes, which when allowed to harden it acts as both its weapon and armor, and its sheer ferocity and relentlessness in combat. Yet its brute strength allows it to contend with its fellow Elder Dragons and live off of hunting them down. Perhaps its most notorious attack is its divebomb which it uses once its entire body is covered in harden spikes, and not only does it hit like a runaway freight train at full speed but said attack also has a deceptive range of impact. It does, however, break all of its spikes and has to regrow them which leaves it the most vulnerable to attack.
  • Due to the lack of ascended Elder Dragons in the Pantheon, Nergigante took to hunting down those that would serve as substitutes. At some point, it decided to tail various hunters to find other potential meals. This lead to Nergigante following the Dovakiin who in turn was pursuing a bunch of dragons. While they were busy fighting, one dragon managed to escape the Dragonborn's sights but ended up coming face to face with the Extinction Dragon and was disposed of just as quickly. A stare down ensued between the two just after the last dragon perished, and it wasn't long until they both fought each other. What happened in the fight is uncertain, but the duel did allow Nergigante to see the Dragonborn as a competitor. Miraak meanwhile found a potentially powerful dragon that could prove useful in his future schemes.
  • In the New World, it was mistakenly blamed for the disturbances regarding Elder Dragon behavior. In reality, it was Xeno'Jiiva's doing, luring Elder Dragons to perish around it and feed upon their bio energy to grow and mature. All Nergigante did was rile up its fellow Elder Dragons into moving to other areas, mucking up various ecosystems in the process. The Extinction Dragon still holds a grudge against the Monster Hunters because of this.
  • There is a theory circulating across the various hunters in the Pantheon that Nergigante is able to hunt its fellow Elders due to the fact that it possesses the ability to inflict Elderseal. This mainly stems from the weapons made from it having said effect, and gear made from monsters tend to inherit traits similar to their living owners. Admittedly, it's not as concrete as you may think if its fights with Lunastra are any indication, still pulling off its signature explosions. The House of Science looking deeper into this but Nergigante isn't the most cooperative when it comes to such investigations.
  • The etymology of Nergigante's name can be broken up in two parts: Nergal, the Mesopotamian God of war, death and destruction and gigante, meaning giant in Latin. Given that its a bulky dragon capable of taking on other legendary creatures along with its penchant for destruction, it fits all too well.

All my fault, you say...? What fault? I daresay it's all thanks to me.

  • Allies:
  • Rivals:
  • Enemies: Cletus Cassidy/Carnage
  • Fears: Judge Dredd
  • Pities: River Song, Aleph
  • Opposes: Earl of Lemongrab
  • Sentences for crimes usually come in the form of years served in prison/parole, and usually the worst is a life sentence. And then there are cases with sentences far longer than one can expect to pay with their lifespan, sometimes ridiculously so. The Sinner got a million year-long sentence after birth for being a waste of human resources. "Thankfully", doing work for their Panopticon helps reduce the sentence…by tens of years (or tens of thousands of years for particularly hard or important ones). Usually, this work comes in the form of reclaiming kidnapped Citizens, repelling assaults by other Panopticons, scavenging resources, and other such necessities. With such a record, the Court decided to bring them to the Pantheon for such an unbelievable record after their plot (or whatever events remotely resemble it) was resolved.
  • Now that they're finally relieved of service of their Panopticon by way of their ascension, at long last, they have achieved true freedom; they can live however they want, they can keep whatever they want (as long as they can afford it), and there are no restrictions on who they can talk to (though who they wish to talk to still has the right to refuse conversation). Unfortunately, this has also left them at a loss on what to do, having been so used to following orders for so long. Fortunately, the GUAG were the first to approach and invite them to their ranks.
  • While they still have their "Accessories" with them, they're no longer tasked in keeping their Sinner in line and adding/reducing years to their sentence. Instead, they just serve to keep their Sinner updated on whatever current mission they're on, general advice, and companion in battle.
  • The Sinner's weapons of choice are a melee weapon and ranged weapon specialized for taking down large mechs called Abductors. These range from knives, polearms, and brass knuckles for melee to handguns, flamethrowers, assault rifles, sniper rifles, autocannons, and portable artillery. They also have much more durability, agility, and might than an average human to ensure their survival in harsh conditions.
  • Due to their Panopticon life, they treat civilians, especially those who have valuable intel, science skills or are otherwise knowledgable in essential non-combat stuff, with unnaturally high regard, even deeming their safety more important than whatever current mission they're on.
  • Having been subject to a ridiculously long life sentence, they're always on edge whenever Judge Dredd is around; his world's judicial system also delivers long sentences, and unlike their world has very little hope for parole.
  • They know there are others who've had longer-than-life sentences in the Pantheon, and some of them absolutely deserved them, such as Carnage.
  • One of their weapons is the Ibara Hookshot, which was noted to be like the Maneuvering system used by the Attack on Titan deities.

I was suggested that this be more talked about here than restructure. What do you think I should do with this, if I should do anything at all:

  • The C'Tan, Divine Race Of Star Killing (House of Planetary and Celestial)-some of, if not the most ancient beings in the WH40K galaxy. They feed off stars, poisoning and destabilizing them. The horrid condition the Necrontyr's star system was in before making their Deal with the Devil. Their attitudes towards sentient beings are pretty awful as well. Alternatively, is there a better trope they'd fit?

@Nightelf: Kuvira could be enemies with Hilda since despite both treating their subordinates decently, Hilda does not have the best intentions in mind and Kuvira feels she must stop her both to redeem herself and not let Hilda get her way. As for Horace Slughorn, he should also oppose Agatha Trunchbull for being just like Umbridge, which gains him an ally in Matilda Wormwood. He also sympathizes with Celestia Ralgris, Kyoichiro Kuroi/Kamen Rider 3 and Raiden since all four of them regret an action they have done in their lifetime and befriended Piglet for being a Lovable Coward as well, thus gaining an enemy in Lord Djibril. Idubbbz opposes him, fearing that he would fund bad Kickstarter and Indiegogo projects even though Horace completely agrees with Ian that said projects are useless in the long run. They'll have my [tup]s once you add these trivia.

@Matteste: Mercurius could be enemies with the Anti-Monitor, Lord Fuse and Merged Zamasu since the three of them wanted to destroy the universe (assimilation in Fuse's case) and Mercurius feels they remind him too much of Hajun. Amatsu-Mikaboshi, a fellow being from time immemorial finds Mercurius 'a waste of destructive potential'. Dr. Weil competes with Merc in games of 'how-much-animosity-we-can-put-unto-ourselves', although Weil only wanted to destroy the Mavericks only while Merc wanted to collect knowledge. Since his Law is like an Unconventional Alignment, Chiaki, Isamu and Hikawa are enemies with him and seek to override his Law with their respective Reasons.

@Divine Flame: The Mafia of Cooks can be enemies with the Investigation Team since Mystery Food X is a nightmare to them and the Mafia's cooking is arguably more worse than Mystery Food X if it weren't for Cooking Cat's actions. Tsubaki Yayoi and Makoto Nanaya tries to discourage their friend Noel Vermillion to approach them lest they become a bad influence to her and make her cooking more worse than before.

@Patrick: I think you haven't noticed yet, but once again Star Butterfly could be allies with Akko Kagari due to both girls being Inept Mages.

@Rinrinboss: Oshawott could be allies with Skipper, Private, Kowalski and Rico since Oshawott reminds them of their friend, Marlene.

@RJ: Thanks! Oh, and [tup] for your ideas on the Broken God Church and the C'Tan!

Guys, the Reworking Gods section has deities that had already being reworked into the Pantheons. Is it okay if I clean it up?

@Whirl RX: Well, Merc isn't a Nazi by any stretch of the imagination. He manipulates Reinhard behind his back (Reinhard knows of Mercurius' scheming and that he is being used, but not to what extent to what final goal. They only work together since their apparent goals align.) and only wears the custom Nazi uniform due to being the founder of the LDO as well as for simply blending in. Though I guess the Captain would have more than one thing to say about the mere prospect of Merc even allying himself with someone so infamous.

And I am not too familiar with Red Skull, but from what I gather, I highly doubt that Merc would want to work together with him. Neither him nor Reinhard are about spreading the Nazi ideal. Merc just wants Marie to grow to the point that she can kill him and claim the Throne from him, while Reinhard just want's to feel fulfilled by fighting a worthy adversary and bring about the Day of Wrath.

And keep in mind that pretty much all of the other LDO members hate Merc with a passion, even though they can't quite pin down as to why they feel that way. Though of those, only 2 or perhaps 3 had any ties to the Nazi party before they became part of the LDO by simply being at the wrong place at the wrong time (Merc had a hand in that little detail).

EDIT:

[up]Oh you must have written that as I was writing this. Well as for those 3 it could work, since Merc of course would not want anyone touching Marie.

As for Amatsu-Mikaboshi, how do you mean that it is a waste of destructive potential? Merc is forced by his own law and nature to enforce the Eternal Recurrence, hence why he had to use such a roundabout way to bring it to an end.

As for Weil, well Merc isn't even trying to get hated, it just sorta happens.

As for the Three reasons, while the Throne holds absolute dominion, if we rethink it slightly and that what the Three Reason are trying to do is to Emanate and thus, trying to reach the Throne. They fit the requirements after all. And not only that, but they are boosted by a divine avatar and the Demi-fiend as well. And then there is YHVH as well. (fun fact, it is speculated that the 2nd Heaven a.k.a. the second holder of the throne, was based on, or could even be YHVH. Although sadly, very little is known about him. Though that could change if Dies Irae Pantheon is what the fans suspect, a gathering of all the Gods.)

Mitsuki Hokuto

Mitsuki Hokuto, Goddess of Using Barriers in Combat (Hokuto Princess, White Maiden)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/6_hokuto.jpg

  • Rank: Intermediate Goddess (house pending)
  • Symbol: Hokuto Group's logo.
  • Theme Songs: Seize the Day, X.R.C., The Usual Morning, Strayed into Passage, and Bravely Storm.
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Barrier Warrior, Casting a Shadow, Dark Is Not Evil, Dissonant Serenity, Lady of Black Magic, Long-Range Fighter, Ojou, Nice Girl, That One Incident with Shio, Playing with Fire, Simple Staff, Spoiled Sweet, Student Council President, Team Mom.
  • Domains: Wielder, Heiress, Hokuto Group, Zodiac, Barriers, Shadow, Fire, Greed Hunting.
  • Followers: All members of the Xanadu Research Club (X.R.C.), which includes Kou Tokisaka, Sora Ikushima, Yuuki Shinomiya, Shio Takahata, Rion Kugayama, and Towa Kokonoe.
  • Heralds: Seijyuurou Hokuto (her grandfather), and Kyouka Yukimura (her secretary).
  • Allies: Asuka Hiiragi, Makoto Nijima, Weiss Schnee, Harry Potter, Madoka Kaname, Mami Tomoe, Sayaka Miki, Kyoko Sakura, Mercy, Tear Grants, Scrooge McDuck, Reinhardt, Brigitte, Shield Knight, Yuuno Scrya, Milla Basset.
  • Enemies: Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious, Wallace Breen, Ragyo Kiryuin, Merasmus, Ultimecia, Queen Vanessa, Sir Isaac Ray Peram Westcott, Aiden Pearce, Sombra, Senator Steven Armstrong, Wood Man, any corrupt Student Council President deity.
  • Feared by: Any Mafia, Yakuza, and Japanese Delinquent deity.
  • Opposes: Cave Johnson (and by extension, GLaDOS), Prime Minister Honest, The Incubators.
  • Conflicting Opinion on: Mustache Girl, Accelerator.
  • Mitsuki Hokuto is the Student Council President of Morimiya Academy, the future heiress of the Hokuto Group, and a key figure within Zodiac (one of two major Underground organizations dealing with the Eclipse). She is also a Wielder herself who fights monsters called Greeds, but unlike her close ally Asuka, Mitsuki is not an active combatant, and prefers to remain on the sidelines while her subordinates do the work. She'll only get involved directly if the situation calls for it, but when she does, she proves herself to be a reliable fighter in the battlefield. Her Soul Device is Mystic Node; a staff that can conjure up barriers and fire magic projectiles. It can either control Shadow or Fire, depending on the Master Core equipped.
  • Mitsuki ascended into the pantheon because of her use of barriers in combat. She can use them for defense (to protect herself from damage), offense (can directly harm enemies on contact), and non-combat aid (can dispel strong curses and keep Greeds at bay). Her use of the barriers has earned her the Red Baron "White Maiden" in her world.
  • Mitsuki and Makoto Nijima get along very well due to being Student Council Presidents who are also third-years, and ironically the sixth members of their respective teams. They're both intelligent and the logical voice of reason within their schools, so they get together in friendly meetings to establish a relationship between Morimiya Academy and Shujin Academy. It also helps that Makoto is a capable fighter herself, so Mitsuki can call on her for assistance if need be.
  • Mitsuki also gets along with Weiss Schnee due to being future heiresses of the Hokuto Group and the Schnee Dust Company respectively. It also helps that Mitsuki's friend Asuka is already allied with Weiss, so establishing a relationship with her wasn't an issue. And since Weiss herself is already experienced with fighting monsters called Grimm, Mitsuki can call on Weiss anytime if there are Greeds and Grimm to defeat in the pantheon.
  • Mitsuki has earned the respect of Reinhardt, Brigitte, and Shield Knight for her clever uses of her barriers. When grouped together, they form a nearly impenetrable defense on the battlefield, and are known throughout the pantheon as "The Barrier Brigade".
    • Other fighters she's allied with include Yuuno Scrya and Milla Basset, who also make great use of their barrier powers. They eventually joined the Barrier Brigade shortly after demonstrating their skills against the Greeds.
  • Due to Mitsuki's experience in dealing with both Japanese Delinquents (from dealing with Morimiya's resident gang BLAZE) and the Yakuza (from dealing with the Takahane Group), any deity associated with these groups fear her because of her disposition, making her really tough to deal with. Naturally, this extends to The Mafia as well, as they do not want to risk getting on the Hokuto Princess' bad side.
  • She considers Aiden Pearce and Sombra to be major threats to the Hokuto Group's Orbal Network and Zodiac, since these two have constantly attempted to hack into their databases numerous times. For this reason, she dispatches Kyouka's special force squad to track them down and prevent them from spreading secretive info about the Eclipse.

Ichiro and Ryoko continue their love story

@ Divine Flame: [tup] for your profiles. Mitsuki could be allies with the Green Lanterns because they can use their rings to create protective bariers. After taking cooking lessons, Link would stay away from them, lest he risks screwing up his new cooking skills. A funny story involving the Mafia: they would invite Mario, Luigi, Dante Sparda and the Ninja Turtles to try out their new pizza, with all too predictable results. At least Mario and Luigi would be polite enough to say their pizza was awful and even attempt to give them some constructive criticism. Dante and the Turtles would be so pissed they would chase the Mafia with their weapons.

@ Crownless: Nergigante could be in Fighter Archetypes. Much like Vaal Hazak, Paarthurnax would try to keep peace between the Dragonborn and Nergigante. Bowser, seeking to repeat what happened with the Elder Dragon would attempt to control him. Link would be happy leaving Nergigante alone, but he ever gets out of control, Link would be forced to confront him.
@ Whirl: I'm not gonna make a profile just to prove a point. I'm only saying that Official Couple Ordeal Syndrome has been around for a long time and it's a bit hasty to give it to a duo of characters that only premiered a few months ago. What makes Hiro and Zero Two so special that they deserve the trope above any other possible candidate?

[up]If you are going to on occasion mention give it to a "classic example", especially when you don't give an example, someone is bound to tell a person to do it. It's going to get old sooner or later.

A classic example should be used isn't a great of an excuse if you ask me. It's a trope that can work in anything really, i agree that we shouldn't prioritize newer works but that doesn't mean we should just shot down anything that is new because "classics are better", especially when there is no better example given other than a general one.

Official Couple Ordeal Syndrome could work for Hiro and Zero Two since the show is built around their relationship and the difficulties they found when they wanted to be together. A lot of classic characters that could take that are already ascended, i see no trouble for them getting that other than i think there are better things for them, but that's up to whirl
