Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

I think you could put One-Winged Angel in Mozgus' portfolio.

I'll post an updated Platypet profile later (I just woke up and I'm on my phone), but whoever said he would get along with Lagiacrus, I disagree. Platypet is weak to electric.

Behold! Since I was given the go-ahead, here's my first true draft of my first ascension!

Hopefully I can get some good feedback on this.

Chimata Tenkyuu, The Almighty Dollar Goddess (God of the Unowned, God of Gensokyo's Markets)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/th18chimata_4.png
  • Lesser Goddess (Intermediate Goddess during her special markets)
  • Symbol: Her own Ability Card, The Blank Card
  • Theme Song: Where is that Bustling Marketplace Now ~ Immemorial Marketeers
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral, leaning towards Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Being a business goddess, having the best fit for her role, a very colorful style, Zipperiffic, too much of a rule stickler, hoster of a Secret Shop, desperate for faith
  • Domains: Marketing, Final Boss, Cards
  • Herald: Nitori Kawashiro
  • Allies: Most, if not all, good-aligned Touhou Project & Yu-Gi-Oh! deities, Rainbow Dash
  • Enemies: Those that break the rules of her market
  • Rivals: The Merchant
  • Opposes: Seto Kaiba
  • Respects: Bruno Bucciarati
  • As one of the newest to pass into the land of fantasy, Chimata has plenty to prove for herself, especially as a goddess for a particular sect of human growth- the act of trade. With exchanging and bartering face-to-face evolving out into things such as credit, deliveries, and online marketplaces, she lost faith to the point of weakness and potentially even death and being forgotten. In fact, that would have been her fate had it not been for her initial move to Gensokyo...and then fighting off its Incident Resolvers trying to convince them that the Ability Card trade was harmless.
    • Of all people, it was Marisa Kirisame who suggested her to be ascended, since they had collaborated before. All of the previously mentioned points and then some more tidbits afterwards was all that was needed for her ascension. Many were rather surprised by this.
  • Dislikes those fueled by greed, as she is a little bitter over her deal with Megumu Iizunamaru falling through, though in no small part due to Tsukasa Kudamaki. Evenmoreso if these money-mongering folk try and 1-up her during her markets, and in fact, she'll take things out on anyone if they break the rules she sets when she opens up shop, even by accident.
  • Isn't really fond of black markets, especially after Takane Yamashiro set up one for the Ability Cards. With Marisa's aid, that issue was...well, not exactly as taken care of as one may believe, but it's harmless enough.
  • Her affinity with cards through the Ability Card trade has landed her in the company of some Yu-Gi-Oh! deities, and now she partners with them on some occasions as a liaison between trading parties. Sometimes, you may even see her trying the game out herself, usually playing against Jesse Anderson, due to their shared affinity for a rainbow motif and being pretty particular LGBTQ+ icons.
    • Surprisingly doesn't hold Seto Kaiba to a high degree, but it's easy to understand why- despite him usually operating under her rules, Kaiba is rather stern and somewhat uncaring about his transactions. This upsets Chimata slightly as his attitude isn't really ceremonious, which doesn't bode well for her faith.
  • Got along rather well with Rainbow Dash, as besides both of them having a lot to do with rainbows, they both seem to have a pretty decent loop with each other- Dash can provide the weather and conditions needed for Chimata to set up market, and in return, they split whatever profit they earned. Certainly better than Chimata's deal with Megumu, at least.
  • Her zipper-laden outfit has once garnered the attention of Bruno Bucciarati. Let's just say that the makeover that Chimata's clothes got that day was...interesting, to say the least. When Sanae Kochiya was approached to give her perspective about that moment, as she had been an eyewitness, she recalled that her reaction was less than miraculous.

@RJ-19-CLOVIS-93

With Gengar ascended, I am more than happy to give a [tup] to both Mozgus and Rosine.

@PuzzarianIdeal

What you have so far is good, but some things to suggest:

1. In terms of the Chimata's title, the title is allowed to incorporate the trope into it, rather than just reciting the trope word-for-word. In terms of that, may I suggest the title of "Goddess of Wealth" to refine the title?

2. While it isn't required, gods are allowed to list "Followers" after the Heralds, those being figures from other series that also apply under the trope. For some recommendations of some, Majiramon (who also works as their "High Priest", basically the one-character-only elevated form of followers) and Zhongli work well.

3. In terms of interactions, I'd imagine Chimata would think very lowly of the various thieves found in the pantheon, be they belonging to their dedicated house or outside of it (with applicable figures including Sly Cooper and Aladdin. On the flipside, the House of Commerece and its various halls is likely to have many figures Chimata would approve of, be they fellow salesmen (such as the Keckleon brothers, Anna, and Recette Lemongrass) or wealthy contributors. Some beings who call it home (such as Brand X [who would perhaps try to market their own spellcards in an attempt to run Chimata out of business, for a funny scenario], the Corpus, Vought-American, and the Glukkons) would likely butt heads with the goddess however, be it for intruding on their business or because of their own wickedness.

@Cardboard Bot: I do got some earlier works done here.

I ended up working on Karin's half of the profile. I'll work on Mika's part next.

Damn, this thing is long.

Karin Kanzuki and "Rainbow" Mika Nanakawa, Joint Goddesses of Caucasian-Looking Japanese People (Karin: The Rich Bitch, Perfect Victor; Mika: Star of the Ring, The Brawling Blossom, The Pulverizing Peach, The Damsel of Dynamite, 7-Colored Bomber)

Karin Kanzuki (top) amd Rainbow Mika (bottom)
  • Potential Houses: Racial Appearances
  • Lesser Goddesses
  • Symbols:
  • Theme Songs:
  • Alignments: Neutral Good for Karin, Babyface for Mika
  • Portfolios:
  • Domains:
    • Karin: Wealth, Combat, Attitude.
    • Mika: Professional Wrestling, Japanese Wrestling
  • Heralds:
    • Karin: Ishizaki and Shibazaki (her butler and steward respectively)
    • Mika: Yoko Harmageddon (her trainer) and Yamato Nadeshiko (her former joshi tag team partner; seriously, that's her name)
  • Celestial Representative Of: Iwashigahama Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling (Mika only)
  • Person Of Interest To:
  • Allies:
  • Rivals:
  • Enemies:
  • Karin Only:
    • The rival to Sakura Kasugano and the only daughter of Daigenjyuro and Nadeshiko Kanzuki, Karin Kanzuki is the former heiress-turned-head of the Kanzuki Zaibatsu. So how did Karin Kanzuki earn a spot in the Pantheon? Easy. She... donated an obscene amount of cash to secure her ascension. Chump change for her, as she owns the Kanzuki Zaibatsu. Her temple is the massive Kanzuki Estate, as seen during Operation C.H.A.I.N.S.. Of course, Sakura Kasugano was not surprised as to how Karin had gained her ascension. "It's Karin, after all." She said of her friendly rival. "She wouldn't had done it any other way." Unlike Sakura, Karin already safeguarded her schoolgirl uniform after her graduation. Though time will tell if she will put the uniform again, albeit optionally. Karin was also Rainbow Mika's sponsor, and the mastermind behind Mika's original ascension. However, Karin was appalled when she found out that Mika lost her former position. Not wanting to lose her investment, she made a second donation to the Pantheon, which smoothed the way for Mika to share Karin's current post.
    • Both Karin and Mika participated in Frank West's PERFECT EROTICA photo contest. Karin agreed to the photoshoot, and Mika convinced her tag-team partner, Yamato Nadeshiko to join in. Jiraiya, however, did not get their permission to photograph them, which resulted in the perverted hermit being on the receiving end of a well-deserved beat down by the two gods; Karin first nailing the Toad Sage with the Kanzuki-Ryu Hadorokushiki: Hasha no Kata (Kanzuki-Style Stream of the Supreme Road Formula Six: Champion's Form), propelling Jiraiya into Mika and Nadeshiko, who finished him off with the Peach Assault. Despite the broken ribs, the fractured neck, the concussion, the ruptured groin, and the cracked skull, Jiraiya was heard saying that "it was totally worth it."
    • It's not exactly known what the Kanzuki Zaibatsu does, but it's for certain that Karin is one of the more wealthier deities in the Pantheon. It is known that Karin has a Kill Sat known as Red Spider Lilly (as Bison found out the hard way) and a her own little hideaway on the Moon. Ironically enough, she had seized control of the Zaibatsu from her father in a hostile takeover.
    • Karin has drawn the attention of the Mishima Clan, but for very different reasons. Both Heihachi Mishima and his son, Kazuya, are scheming from the shadows, planning on usurping control of the Kanzuki Zaibatsu from Karin, hoping to absorb it into either the Mishima Zaibatsu G Corporation, be it though underhanded business deals, or strong-arming her either by combat or dispatching the Tekken Force to seize the Kanzuki Zaibatsu's interests. "Two zaibatsus is one too many," Heihachi reasoned. The only thing stopping father and son from pulling off a hostile takeover is that they're still fighting each other. That, and Karin's ties to the Street Fighters, made Heihachi anf Kazuya pause, not to mention that Karin has the Kanzuki Family Ninja Army on speed-dial. On the opposite end, Karin has drawn the attention of the estranged wife of Heihachi Mishima, Kazumi. The Hachijō Clan has detailed notes on the Kanzuki family and the business dealings of the Kanzuki Zaibatsu, just in case they decide to become a threat to the world. So far, while Karin's antics are based around one-upping Sakura and fighting off Shadaloo's attempts to usurp Karin of her birthright, Kazumi sees that Karin's intentions are pretty benign.
    • The deified businessmen (and women) from both sides have also been monitoring Karin and the Kanzuki Zaibatsu. Heihachi Mishima is leading the pack, scheming to absorb the Kanzuki Zaibatsu under the Mishima Zaibatsu. Both Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne are quite interested in what kind of tech the Kanzuki Zaibatsu has behind its closed doors. But given that Karin has a ninja clan on speed-dial, the two men decide not to partake in corporate espionage. Due to her immense wealth, she finds herself at odds with Lili Rochefort, who also comes from a affluent background. But what really annoys Lili is that Karin is richer than her family. Seto Kaiba also shares Lili's views, as he believes that the Kanzuki Zaibatsu is no way more financially wealthier than KaibaCorp.
    • Aside from sponsoring Mika, Karin also has the teenage kunoichi, Ibuki on her payroll. This, of course, has led to Mika and Ibuki butting heads on occasion. Before things could get out of hand, Karin usually finds herself intervening before the two could tear up her temple.
Karin: If the two of you are not satisfied fighting each other, then I can join in to give the satisfaction you deserve.
Ibuki: (apologetically as she backs down) Uh, well, no, thank you!
Mika: (in the same tone) I'll pass! I... I'm very satisfied!
    • Ranma Saotome got on her bad side when the divine aquatransexual said that Karin laughed a lot like Kodachi Kuno. After the inevitable fight, Ranma now dislikes the laugh even more after being caught on the business end of a Hasha no Kata (and the laugh that follows). Her laugh gained a lot more popularity (or is that infamy?) after her return to form, especially during tournament play. Any time she breaks out into that laugh, expect her followers to follow alongside her.
    • In order to secure her position as the Kanzuki Heiress, Karin had to undergo three main challenges put forth by her parents: Fifty lines of bulls (one must stop 50 stampeding bulls; Karin stopped all 50 bulls, topping her father's record of 49), the Kanzuki style social art mystery Sagesumi no Me (in which Karin went out of the atmosphere to look down on the earth in order to master the social art mystery), and finally, the Final Training The Ultimate Mystery of the Kanzuki Family "Soul Kiss" (in which Karin has to woo at least 5,000 men; her mother holds the record at 50,046 men, her father included). Karin was able to succeed at these flawlessly, and was able to secure her position as heiress. Even Ken Masters says that those challenges were nuts. Ryu also voiced his opinion that the Kanzuki challenges were worse than what Gouken could come up with during his and Ken's days of training under him. There are other challenges that a Kanzuki can undergo, but one that stands out is the Kanzuki style, ground fighting (Shingi) Slight sleep Mugi Reno Genshi, a skill that can be learned as a result of thoroughly investigating, analyzing, and predicting all actions and attacks of the opponent, practicing to the level of "dodging even if asleep". It’s the ultimate sleeping method to ensure ones safety. For the deified members of Batfamily, the al-Ghuls, and Black Canary, it sounds eerily familiar, as this is how Lady Shiva fights.
    • I'll show you the divide in our class.

  • Trait: Toxic Affinity
  • Techniques: Cheer Up, Aqua Bullet Hell, Sharp Rain, and Toxic Fang
  • Theme song: Untamed Encounter
  • Portfolio: Water and Toxic type, Starter Mon in a post-game side activity, was submitted to his game by a Kickstarter backer
  • Domains: Mammals, Aquatic Life, Game Characters, Toxicity, Water and Moisture
  • Heralds: Sophia, Yareni, the Stowaway, Naolin, Saipat, Toxic Koish
  • Rivals: Pikachu
  • Allies: Perry the Platypus, the Piñatas, Knuckles the Echidna, Qwilfish, the Octonauts.
  • Respects: Most Water and Poison Pokémon
  • Respected by: Steve Irwin
  • Fears: Anything with wind and/or electric powers, 9-Volt and 16-Volt
  • Feared by: Slimes
  • As a species, Platypet shares a recent common ancestor with Saipat, and is found on two islands of the Airborne Archipelago: the Mediterranean Deniz, and the barren wasteland Tucma. Being a Water and Toxic type, it is well-adapted to both. It's the star of a cartoon series that teaches kids that Toxic-types can be good friends, too. It evolves into Platox, which evolves into Platimous. Platimous is used by several of the strongest tamers in the Archipelago, who are among Platypet's heralds.
  • This particular Platypet is carefree and lives in the moment. He nonchalantly wandered into the House of Popularity by mistake, probably because he became fixated on the star-patterned walls. Initially the gods tried to shoo away the intruder, but then Haruhi Suzumiya realised that he had an interesting metafictional history, and offered to make him a god. Platypet didn't understand what that meant, but accepted anyway.
  • Pikachu was wary of Platypet at first, thinking that Temtem were encroaching upon Pokémon's territory, but the other Pokémon convinced him that they could co-exist. Meanwhile, Platypet is scared of Pikachu because electricity is one of his elemental weaknesses. Platypet struck up an Odd Friendship with the similarly-typed Qwilfish, and respects most Poison and Water Pokémon. He also gets along with other monotremes, other light-hearted Mons such as the Piñatas, and the Octonauts because they've helped platypi in the past. And of course, Steve Irwin respects all creatures in the Pantheon.
  • Within the Hall of Fanbase, he's scared of 9-Volt and 16-Volt because he thinks they have electric powers, but they think he's adorable. Platypet also keeps well away from the Hall of Enemies for two reasons: Slimes fear him because he looks similar to their rivals, the Platypunks; and he's scared of the Zubat and Golbat colony because he's weak to Wind, which is similar to Flying.
  • While he technically belongs to the House of Popularity, he's more often seen in the House of Beasts and Fauna, usually chilling in ponds near temples. He also visits the Hall of Water and Moisture a lot; while he prefers to stick to the shallows, he's more than capable of defending himself from the monsters lurking in the deep. He keeps well away from Lagiacrus, though.

  • Martin Riggs and Roger MurtaughBuddy Cop Show
    • Well, yeah, they defined this subgenre for a while. That said, to sum things up, Riggs and Murtaugh are two LAPD cops who are paired together for a number of cases that tend to involve high-octane action, a lot of snark, and the pair bickering and complaining at each other (and the LAPD) just as much as they do working together. The two of them have their own personal baggage, but their influence towards each other eventually helps them in easing out their stresses and become a better force for good.
  • RheaMetaphorically True and/or Medieval Stasis
    • Rhea is the Archbishop of the Church of Seiros, based in the continent of Fódlan, and is also a Divine Dragon, specifically "The Immaculate One". While mostly defined by her authoritative, yet motherly nature and leadership, Rhea does have her darker secrets, which tie in with both tropes.
      • For the first trope, she's very secretive about her true nature as Seiros and tends to blanket that by revealing information towards others, especially Byleth, Jeralt, and Seteth, that did occur, but she always hides away most of the context of such. As it turns out, she is very insecure about her past and doesn't want to dwell too much on it, but she's also shrewd and manipulative in keeping control over the church, which explains why it becomes increasingly habitual of her to tell half-truths whilst concealing the context behind much of what happened to her personally and in Fódlan's past. Furthering this, much of the church's teachings also document records that are true, but the real meaning/story behind them was altered significantly so as to keep Fódlan's citizens convinced and faithful to the church.
      • For the second trope, Fódlan is a continent that mainly steers towards the medieval era in regard to its society and development, which contrasts heavily with the Agarthans, who tend to possess Schizo Tech consisting of automatons and ballistic missiles. It's revealed that Rhea deliberately kept Fódlan technologically stunted as she fears that technological advancement would further potential opposition against her and the church. It still ties back to Rhea's past when her mother, Sothis, granted high-level technology to the Agarthans, and they chose to rebel and attack out of paranoia and resentment, resulting in Sothis's death, and Rhea being rattled by the event and betrayal leading to the deaths of many of her kind. As a result, this trope is in effect due to Rhea's grief being influenced into paranoia and grateful dissent towards anyone that dares to oppose her.
  • BandetteKarmic Thief
    • Bandette is a young girl who decides to kick off a vigilante career by being a thief. She decided to take a heroic route and focus her crimes on being directed towards other criminals, an occupation that is enjoyable despite how taxing and exhausting this could get. Being young, Bandette is also somewhat naive and sometimes clashes against older, more experienced thieves who would either try to mentor her into being more careful and responsible or would actively try to antagonize her as a rival/foe. Regardless, Bandette makes it clear that anytime she steals something, she always makes it a point to return it to its original owners, something that makes her somewhat popular with some people and manages a decent, if difficult working relationship with her local police force.

Notes...

  • I'm aware that Rhea for Metaphorically True was also an idea from DATEMAY, but she's been inactive for a very long period of time, so I figured I might as well consider a second trope and try to see which one would win out between that or Medieval Stasis (which is something original on my part).
  • Yes, Karmic Thief is also held by Omar Little, but he does have a second trope, namely Justified Criminal. Having watched at least two seasons of The Wire, Omar represents both tropes very well, so I'm content with one trope being taken from so long as the other one fits him well. Also, I might consider reworking Omar once I properly finish watching the show so...

Samuel Leo Fisher, God of Night-Vision Goggles (Sam Fisher, "The Man Who Wasn't There", Old Man Fisher, Original Billy Bad-Ass, Paperboy, Panther, Matchwood, DeepBlue, Zero)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fisher_0.png
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: A three-eyes night vision goggles glowing in the dark
  • Theme Song: Ruthless (Reprise)
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: An expert in night ops with SEAL experience, very aged yet still working as an agent, very defensive towards his daughter, tends to joke at times of seriousness with other agents, will succeed the mission through any means, the last of the old-style infiltration specialists in the world
  • Domains: Stealth, Agents, Counter-Terrorism, Night Ops, Infiltration
  • Heralds: Members of Third/Fourth Echelon (who did not take part in the conspiracy), Sarah Fisher (his daughter)
  • Allies:
  • Respected by: Batman
  • Friendly Rivalry: Solid Snake
  • Opposes: United Security
  • Enemies: Hans Gruber, 50 Blessings, Caster Troy, Imran Zakhaev, Vladimir Makarov, Nikita Dragovich, Khaled Al-Asad
  • Originally a member of the Navy Seals, Sam Fisher had a large involvement with the military, having a distinguished track record going from 1989 to 1996, partaking in various operations and honing his combat skills. After accomplishing his role as an Intelligence Analyst in the US Navy, he would be then qualified to a new initiative created by the CIA, dubbed Third Echelon, where he would be inserted into various operations as a one-man agent under one modus operandi: covert intelligence gathering through physical infiltration. With his experience, he was able to gather various information regarding terrorist plots, cyberattacks and even a potential World War III scenario while later uncovering a conspiracy within his program and the NSA. These would mark Sam as not only one of the best veterans under the military but a shining Splinter Cell agent, the best of his kind.
  • While Sam was being extracted after the events regarding the Liquid Natural Gas Facility and the capture of Majid Sariq, a helicopter was able to extract him except Sam noticed that the helicopter holding him had no Fourth Echelon emblems and the soldiers inside were acting suspicious. Potentially under the guise of a kidnapping, Sam resisted and nearly jumped out of the helicopter when a field blocked his escape from within. There, he noticed a weird change in scenery, what used to be the quiet areas of Louisiana was turned into a maze of various temples and passageways. The helicopter would land and he was escorted where a figure debriefed him of his circumstances. Hearing of his "ascension" or recruitment to the Trope Pantheons, he was about to ask of this new "program" was in until the figure vanished and so did the helicopter and troops that escorted him. This would not be the last time Sam had questioned the nature of the Pantheons.
  • After browsing through various areas, he was introduced to his new temple which was a replica of the Third Echelon Headquarters, alongside a secret entrance that allowed him to visit his daughter. There, he would receive calls both from other agents and other people from the Pantheon willing to engage in conversation. Suddenly, he heard a recognizable voice and was told to meet in the House of Gaming, of which he was re-introduced to members of Team Rainbow, all of which who had ascended following reports of missing operators within the field. Caveira, the person Sam is mostly familiar with, had explained the nature of the Pantheon, which helped clear his mind and introduced him to the other members as well, Fuze and Montagne. Considering Third Echelon is not the only black-ops unit that the US has made in a while, Fisher has slowly adapted to his surroundings and was given his gear back, all of which are in good condition.
  • As an expert in the world of stealth operations, Sam has been often considered the go-to agent for infiltrations, since he knows how to blend in the surroundings while avoiding and shooting down light sources for easy movement. In the event that he does get caught in the limelight, his options are either to run or subdue using non-lethal force. For him, bullets are considered a last resort, since most of his operations revolve on the most minimal of casualties. This makes him a first hand choice for intelligence gathering and a majority of the modern military find his service history to be an astounding achievement. That being said, he is not the only one of his type as he has noted a small, yet dedicated rivalry between two other agents, one going by the codename Solid Snake, and the other being Gabriel Logan.
    • It turns out both him and Snake have an even longer history together, which surprised the both of them when they finally found themselves together in the Trope Pantheons. Their recognition was clear during Naked Snake's operation and Sam's dismantling of Displace International though Sam ended up referring to Big Boss by mistake, though it is clear Solid Snake is his true rival. After years of operations and legacies, only the two would remain to be the only military stealth specialists, only for Snake to finally retire, shocking Sam to the realization that he is the last agent alive and judging by the current state of affairs, it seems it may stay that way for him. Their presence in the Pantheon may not only relinquish that rivalry but perhaps may connect them to a sort of retirement from their professions.
  • With help from his co-partners in Team Rainbow, they were able to organize a great deal of counter-terrorist agents, many of which are from various backgrounds and circumstances that make each candidate more unique than the last. Due to this, most have offered tryouts to test their mettle, with Sam Fisher being an instructor of sorts in stealth and close-quarters-combat. A select few were chosen and found common ground with, the closest being three candidates, John McClane, Jack Bauer and Ethan Hunt. Each seem to represent a portion of Sam's life, both his personal and in his military career. McClane's professional history, mixed with his relationship between his wife and daughter reminds him of his ex-wife Regan Burns and his daughter Sarah Fisher as well as his humble beginnings in his first years being a Splinter Cell agent, Bauer's ruthless interrogations and the conspiracy within the CTU serves him memories of countless interrogations he's done and the downfall of the NSA and Third Echelon and Hunt's unwavering dedication to serve the IMF mimics his dedication to save America by any means necessary, made more clear with the former's reasoning for him staying behind in the IMF and the formation of Fourth Echelon, after Third Echelon was scrapped.
    • After the tryouts, an unknown man came in late with papers detailing his identity. At first, the agents and Sam were hesitant to enter but re-reading the file gave him the clear, until another man came in and whacked the other with a keyboard. With weapons drawn, the man, revealing himself to be Sean Archer, explains that his face was switched with the person he knocked out unconscious with, being a terrorist going by the identity of Caster Troy. The database they used to verify the information revealed it to be true. The agents were shocked that two men would swap faces. Sean argued that he did it since a bomb was going off and he was supposed to disguise as Castor but he switched faces with him as well, which allowed him to assume his identity. Unfortunately, before they would apprehend Castor, his body was not found and Sam assumes he's fled the scene. He has requested that Castor should also be in the watchlist.
  • Superheroes come in with various shapes and sizes and while it is uncommon for heroes of such kind to interact with demigods given the strength difference between a normal person and a superpowered one, some actually do not rely on such and instead are enhanced humans but with a recognizable persona in them. This is the case with two "heroes", Batman and the Punisher. Sam has heard of Batman and the latter has heard of Sam's operations pre-Third Echelon with him avoiding actual deaths alongside some dark humor in scary situations. Given Batman's rule of not killing criminals, he has gained respect to the Caped Crusader though he has warned him of restraint following his conviction as he dropped it in favor of exposing a conspiracy. After that is when he met Frank Castle, who has quite a track record of remorseless criminal killing, which reminds him of the incident Bruce warned him about. Although in Sam's defense, it was his daughter he was attempting to rescue and the conspiracy muddled the waters at that time in the NSA so lethal force was sort-of justified given how much a portion of his personal life was meddled. Still, it gave some connection between him and Frank though he warned him not to enter in his battlefields, there might be some friendly fire.
  • Third Echelon's formation, prior to the conspiracy, was formed by the NSA while Fourth Echelon, the initiative meant to replace it, was formed by the President of the United States himself. This makes Sam's presence a very odd one for President James Marshall, the US President that saved the people of Air Force One, as he never recalled ever creating, nor approving of a secret black-ops unit confined in the States. While it is true that both are patriotic to their own homeland, it still leaves the president with caution, especially with how Third Echelon fell to an NSA mole. Nonetheless, he has hired Sam to be his personal agent in times of distress or when a special interest pops up for him to investigate.
  • Sam's common target are terrorists, particularly those presiding in the west given what his initiative was meant to counter. The Pantheon may have a lot of superheroes and villains but sometimes, a few terrorists will slip under the radar, and Sam is one of those willing to watch them in the dark, gathering intelligence and assassinating them if necessary. Common targets include Al-Asad, Dragovich, Makarov and Zakhaev but newer threats that have collaborated with the four have started to emerge, with Hans Gruber, the man that fought against McClane and even an ultranationalist group by the name of 50 Blessings, an American counterpart to Makarov if you will, having popped into the radar. Another figure by the name of Raul Menendez was spotted in his sights after he traced a few Cordis Die agents who he presumed was a rogue PMC force, as well as a tip connecting him to Dragovich. To him, these threats are what he considers a reason for him to continue his Splinter Cell profession.
    • Rogue PMCs are a force he has an experience with given that three PMC companies he had to investigate, that being UPSILON, Displace International, Black Arrow and ARGUS. It should be noted that rogue is an important tag as three of which are American-owned and has ties to the Pentagon and one of which was a key player to Third Echelon's dissolution, which is the reason why Sam has a distaste for PMC forces. As he would observe, Cordis Die would not be the only PMC he has issues with as within a Russian border called Norvinsk, he was seen infiltrating an outpost belonging to United Security, under investigation of the reasoning behind the Contract Wars. Seeing the reasoning why an international PMC group was having a war with a Russian-owned one, this has led him to a personal mission to uncover what exactly happened whilst avoiding the two PMC's sights.
  • "I am a soldier. I've served my country for twenty years. But if I'm captured or killed, I know that nobody will come to rescue me. I won't even get a funeral. Because the nation I protect can never admit that I exist. So my death would go unremarked, my bones would go unclaimed. I don't know if that day will come... but I do know that it must not be today. I am invisible. I am relentless. I am Sam Fisher. I am... a Splinter Cell."

@NitroIndigo

What you have thus far is good, but a bit small. As a rule of thumb, text sections (be they describing the character or their interactions) should be four sentences long at a minimum. In terms of other interactions, outside the obvious ones from other 'mon series (such as the various Digimon gods and Nate Adams), it is mentioned in lore that a Platypet was a star in a children's TV show. This is something that would likely cause some resentment from Bojack Horseman, giving him bad memories of his time as a child actor. While Platypet isn't exactly a therapist, I'd imagine that he would detect the deep issues Bojack has, and seek to comfort him in whatever ways he can. On the flipside, the Animaniacs would welcome Platypet as a friend due to their own stardom, often dragging them along on their wacky adventures. I'd imagine Platypet wouldn't mind the company of the zany, insane-y triplets, though.

[up]Eh, the Show Within a Show is a cartoon in-universe, so I assume no actual Platypet actors were involved. I like your Animaniacs ideas, though. (Also, are there any monotremes in the pantheon besides Perry and Knuckles? And it's kind of weird that even though I'm suggesting another platypus, neither of them represent the Puzzling Platypus trope.)

It evolves into Platox, which evolves into Platimous. Platimous is used by several of the strongest tamers in the Archipelago, who are among Platypet's heralds.
  • This particular Platypet is carefree, lives in the moment, and doesn't have a resentful bone in his body. His Signature Move is Cheer Up; in battle, it allows the target to use certain techniques one turn earlier than usual, but it also makes him a great cheerleader. He's not very smart, but that just makes him cuter.
  • He nonchalantly wandered into the House of Popularity by mistake, probably because he became fixated on the star-patterned walls. Initially the gods tried to shoo away the intruder, but then Haruhi Suzumiya realised that he had an interesting metafictional history — he was originally a fan-made Pokémon design, but was submitted to Temtem by a Kickstarter backer — and offered to make him a god.
He also gets along with other monotremes such as Perry and Knuckles; other Mons such as the similarly-carefree piñatas and the good Digimon (except HerkuleKabuterimon); and the Octonauts because they've helped platypi in the past. And of course, Steve Irwin respects all creatures in the Pantheon. The Warners occasionally drag Platypet into their shenanigans under the mistaken belief that he's an Animated Actor like them, but he doesn't mind.

  • Fears: Phazon
  • Friendly Enemy with: Sonic and his friends, Rei Ayanami, Mega Man (All Versions), Thomas Light, Proto Man, Astroboy, Jenny Wakeman, Robotboy, Meat Boy, Perry The Platypus.
  • Sage is a mysterious artifical intelligence and a female resembling a human girl. She is a creation of Doctor Eggman who created her to harness the technology and creations of the Ancients of the Starfall Islands. However, upon seeing what had been trapped by the Ancients, she gained sentience and placed Eggman in Cyberspace to protect him while she tried to deal with the threat. Eventually, though, Sonic, Tails, Amy and Knuckles arrived at the Starfall Islands, the latter three ending up trapped in Cyberspace. Sonic and Sage end up at odds with each other throughout the adventure at the Starfall Islands, but his kindness to both others and herself caused her to propose an alliance with Sonic to Eggman in order to better get him out of Cyberspace. Eggman refuses, but once THE END breaks free and Sonic’s friends cure him of his Cyber-Corruption, she suggests that they may be able to defeat THE END together. Again, he refuses, but then reluctantly agrees this time. Sage and Sonic eventually end up fighting THE END in an Enemy Mine, with the former pulling a Heroic Sacrifice to stop its Taking You with Me attempt from destroying Sonic, The Earth and Eggman. Eggman is distraught by this, but he manages to recover Sage’s data and brings her back.
  • After Eggman resurrected her with the coding he managed to salvage after she sacrificed herself to stop THE END, she would later be used by Eggman as a Nicole-esque AI in the Pantheon while he worked on building her a new digital form. One day, he vanished from his temple completely, left with only Metal Sonic to watch over her. Eggman ended up returning, particularly pleased with himself. Sage asked him what had occurred, and he couldn’t hide the smile on his face, explaining exactly where he had been. He had decided to not only build her a new body, but also surprise her by ascending her to the Pantheon as a proper deity. He tried to go for The Unfought, and Viridi was disgusted that someone who destroys nature would try to kick her out of the Pantheon. She launched a Reset Bomb at his Temple, but Eggman saw this coming, and used the Ultimate Annihilator belonging to one of his Archie Counterparts and obliterated it from existence before it even came close. Before this could escalate into full-blown war between the two, Dr. Wily arrived in his saucer and proposed an alternative trope: Sympathy for the Hero, citing her development towards Sonic and his friends throughout the events at the Starfall Islands, and her desire to be loved by Eggman and seeing the genuine friendship between the Blue Blur and his friends as beautiful to be major reasons why. This succeeded, cutting off Eggman’s retaliation, though Viridi hasn’t forgotten the incident. Not that he cares.
  • Sage happens to have power over nearly any electronic she chooses. While near limitless when it comes to controlling them, she was unable to control the Titans and could only direct their aggression, so there are those that are beyond her abilities. She’s a major reason why Ultron has stopped being able to hijack Eggman’s machines at times, causing him to get highly frustrated and vow to go after her, pissing her creator off in the process. She’s outright scared of Sigma, as she fears what the Sigma Virus can do to her, yet won’t hesitate to go against him to protect her creator, especially after she learned that an alternate version of him was once enslaved by the Maverick, albeit temporarily. To satisfy his twisted curiosity, Brainiac wants information on the Ancients’ technology and if it is different from anything he encountered, and views her as a test subject as she interfaced with it, becoming partially made up of said technology as a result.
  • As Eggman’s Game Incarnation sees her as a surrogate daughter, she has come into contact with Bowser, who had congratulated the Mad Scientist on multiple occasions ever since the fiasco on the Starfall Islands, having learned that he had salvaged her code after she sacrificed herself against THE END. Bowser, who has children himself, though only one being legitimately of his blood, can sympathize with and feel proud for him. After she obtained her new body, she ended up meeting him. Bowser, being protective of his own kids and minions, fully understood the lengths Eggman was willing to go to in order to bring her back and while she isn’t nearly as Boisterous as the Koopa King, the two still happen to get along fairly well. Sometimes, she will be see hanging out with Bowser Junior, as well as the rest of the Koopalings. Much like with Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, Sage is pretty affable towards the Mario Brothers, as well as Yoshi and Princess Peach, despite being enemies with them.
  • Viewed by The Game Incarnation of Doctor Eggman to be his greatest creation to date, Sage has also interacted with Dr. Wily, Bass, Treble and Zero. She is somewhat grateful to Albert Wily for making sure an all-out war with Viridi didn’t begin over bringing her to the Pantheon, something that he waved off. He laughed. Despite everything and his villainy, as he furiously declared to Ra Moon, an enemy she shares with him, Wily does love his robots and can, in ways, see why Eggman went to said lengths in bringing back Sage and ascending her. She does not like Bass’ tendencies to sometimes attack his creator Wily. He actually smirked at this, saying that in the end, he is his own master, causing Wily to roll his eyes. And while having their moral differences, she notes that Wily and Zero have no ill will towards each other due to the former actually being decent and respectful of the latter’s decisions, and technically being related. That being said…
    • There are a few beings from the universe Wily, Bass, Treble and Zero hail from that Sage absolutely despises, opinions that the four share with her. The aforementioned Sigma, Sirius, Ra Moon and most of all, Doctor Weil. Sirius is a megalomaniacal being that sees EVERYTHING around him as playthings, much to the chagrin of her and most who know him, though admits the fact that things can be stored in said black holes he creates can be useful if another situation like THE END occurs. Ra Moon is even worse. The Malevolent AI reminds Sage of THE END due to its intelligence, Omnicidal Mania and being An Ancient Evil. However, the worst among them, in her opinion, is Doctor Weil, who reminds her of THE END as well, but as human, and WORSE. Weil views her as Just a Machine, and how did she respond to his threats towards Eggman and herself? Taking control of Weil’s Machines directly, and completely wrecking any progress he’s made on his latest plot, throwing him back to square one.
  • As what she wanted most other than to protect Eggman was to have a have a father-daughter relationship with him, she does not like any Abusive Parents in the Pantheon at all. She finds Ragyo Kiryuin to be completely and utterly abominable for very obvious reasons, and even Doctor Eggman admits that he finds her actions towards her daughters and decision to sell out humanity to the Life Fibers and perform Transhuman Treachery absolutely disgusting, and it certainly didn’t help that it reminded him of his Grandfather’s arrangement with Black Doom. Fire Lord Ozai’s treatment of Zuko and Azula also earned her scorn. Ozai, confident, dared her to try fighting him, only to find that his bending couldn’t harm her due to her being an Intangible Woman, and quickly found himself on the losing side of a Curb-Stomp Battle because of it, to the point where he had to retreat. And Ghetsis Harmonia Gropius wisely decided to stay away from her after hearing about that. Regarding the topic of Ghetsis, Sage finds his emotional abuse towards N to be awful. As a result, she pities N and dislikes Ghetsis.
    • Despite this, she finds Shou Tucker and Professor Hojo just as bad as Ragyo Kiryuin on the Abusive Parents front, a feat that Sage didn’t think possible, once she learned what the two did to their families. The idea of someone caring so little for family, to the point of turning them into near-mindless abominable Chimera that are always in pain to be absolutely horrifying. Shou Tucker cannot fathom why she feels this way, causing her to let out a frustrated groan. Professor Hojo, on the other hand, has proved to be even more of an asshole by stating to Sage that he didn’t truly care for them in the first place, resulting in her blowing up the lab he was in, though he narrowly managed to escape. Even some of Professor Hojo’s Allies were unable to say that he didn’t deserve that, while most of his enemies, along with many people, believe that she should’ve done worse to him. FAR worse to him.

I’m plotting my schemes wherever I go! They’re perfect in every way…

[up]Cortana pulled a Face–Heel Turn and started a galaxy wide Zeroth Law Rebellion. I don't she and Sage would be allies.

@Hamana, I already mentioned some suggestions earlier, with lawliet-saw-whet even mentioning it. But I'll ask this question so you can work it into a Flavor text. What is Sam Fisher's and by extension Fourth Echelon's relationship and/or stance with other No Such Agencies and Fictional Government Agencies, or other normal real life agencies?

As for Raul Menendez. I'm pretty sure he's enemies with Alex Mason right? In fact I'm sure most heroic Call of Duty characters would be enemies. The jobs of Conrad S. Hauser/Duke and Nick Fury are literally to fight against terrorism. The Boss and Broforce are definitely going to go after him for trying to bring down America, and I'm sure most US Presidents should be labeled as enemies as well.

  • Strong Bad is a resident of the strange land of Free Country, USA, and is one of the most well-known residents. Living alongside his brothers Strong Mad and Strong Sad, Strong Bad often spends his time indulging himself in his overinflated ego, whether it be by bothering the other residents for kicks alongside his partner The Cheat or trying to convince everyone how cool he is. In his spare time, he hosts Strong Bad Emails, a web show where he responds to various fan "sbemails", usually resulting in him either exaggerating his capabilities, going completely off topic regarding the subject, or insulting the sender on their grammar and spelling. As a result of the series, the series catapulted him into becoming essentially the main character of the site, a fact that he's completely aware of and all too happy to flaunt, if for the wrong reasons.
  • Strong Bad has actually been in the Pantheon for a long while, having first ascended alongside his alleged nemesis, Homestar Runner. Initially it was only Homestar that was set to ascend, but Strong Bad was too stubborn to accept that someone "lamer than him" was going to some cool god realm without him, so he convinced Homestar to bring him along, and sure enough he landed a title for himself. He initially had the title of Small Name, Big Ego thanks to his comically overinflated self-confidence, but it didn't take long for his title to be changed to Fourth-Wall Mail Slot thanks to his series, which was a large part of why he was popular in the first place. He still continues to host his show in the Pantheon from his temple (his house, naturally), where he encourages other gods to send him emails so that they can get to know him better.
  • To start off, there's a very good reason he used to have Small Name, Big Ego: his has an incredibly high opinion of himself and is convinced he's the coolest, baddest dude in Free Country, with nearly all of his antics being fueled by this belief. Anyone that's known Strong Bad for more than a minute can tell you otherwise, with most of his attempts to be cool backfiring on him constantly and making him look more pathetic than anything. Of course, not helping matters is that he is legitimately popular with audiences, but mostly because of how laughably ignorant he is. He's far from the only God with this mentality however, which leads to him constantly getting into arguments about who's "cooler". Most notable is Master Shake of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force, who's similarly convinced that he's a certified badass leader when he's really the most pathetic Jerkass of the group. The two continuously bicker about who's the more popular god and which one is lamer, arguments that can last for hours on end without interruptions.
  • On his off time, Strong Bad has been known to visit the Inventory, a bar and popular hangout spot for various interesting characters. There, he likes to play Poker with a few friends of his, those being The Heavy, a hat-loving mercenary who's smarter than he looks and claims, and Sam and Max, a sociopathic duo of freelance police officers with a talent for chaos. The three are some of the few people that Strong Bad could call friends and not totally be lying, as while they tend to take shots at each other and get competitive about their poker games, especially when they start wagering items, they ultimately enjoy each other's company and we're glad to see they were ascended. It should be noted that one while member, Tycho, isn't ascended, he's the only one Strong Bad doesn't like (and yes, the feeling's mutual) and doesn't really care about his absence.
  • One day, Strong Bad was once again getting ready to delete yet another email about how he types with boxing gloves on when he heard some suction noises coming out the nearby window. Looking out, he saw that the infamously annoying Suction Cup Man had arrived and proceeded to endlessly heckle and swear out Strong Bad, with the alleged wrestle man returning the favor with various PG-rated insults. While it ended with Suction Cup Man once again parachuting away, Strong Bad took the whole experience very personally and tracked him down to his house, where he preceded to use his own suction cups to climb his house and annoy him. This being Strong Bad we're talking about, it didn't exactly go to plan, as not only did he end up falling off five minutes in, but the whole time SCM was completely ignoring Strong Bad, gleefully knowing that it'll drive him nuts. Strong Bad has since promised to take revenge on the man, though as of now he hasn't exactly been active on his promise.
  • Before Strong Bad started his Email Show, he was quite the nuisance and would frequently antagonize Homestar during competitions, stooping to cheating just to gain the upper hand. Of course, even back then he wasn't the most threatening villain despite his endless boasting about how evil he was, but after his show got popular, he devolved into being just rude at worst. Strong Bad is fully aware of this and would rather be known as a notorious bad guy than just some harmless jerk, and so occasionally goes on "rampages" to remind the Pantheon what he's capable of. These "rampages" basically consist of Strong Bad committing any petty prank he can think of, from using up toilet paper to stepping on grass. Generally, the Pantheon's about as apathetic as you'd expect, with the exception of Voltar, the leader of the notoriously pathetic villain team L.O.S.E. Voltar unironically though Strong Bad was some sort of efficient criminal mastermind and offered his assistance, an offer Strong Bad was all too happy to accept. The two now go on some of the most inefficient "rampages" in the history of The Pantheon, and more often or not the rest of the League are dragged along for their shenanigans.
  • Strong Bad, as it turns out, is an avid gamer and claims to have owned "all the classics", being a particular fan of games from Videlectrix. With that said, thanks to the fact that all the games in his world are no more advanced than an NES, his grasp on what's considered a "modern" game is strained at best, and as a result he regularly claims games like The Adventures of Lolo and Chrono Trigger have "state of the art graphics", and genuinely thinks the most recent console is the Turbografx 16. Anytime he has seen something more advanced, he often rejects it and claims it's inferior to any of his games. Still, it hasn't stopped him from visiting the House of Gaming, mostly just to see if they have any Videlectrix games in stock. To his delight, it has almost any game he can think of. from Thy Dungeonman to all the Snake Boxer games. As a result, if he's not in his temple, then chances are he's at the house playing all sorts of classics and bragging to other gods about how much better his world's games are than any of their new-gen crap. Anyone that has played a Videlectrix game will admit they're quite addicting, if a bit weird and outdated.
  • One of Strong Bad's self-proclaimed talents is that he's a skilled filmmaker, saying that he regularly makes cinematic masterpieces. To be fair, he does indeed have a homemade film series he created; Dangeresque. Starring himself as the titular character, Dangeresque is a renegade cop/detective that, alongside his sidekicks Renaldo and Dangeresque Too?, go solve mysteries and thwart various criminal masterminds. The thing is, the quality is dubious to say the least: it's very obvious that Strong Bad lacks any sort of budget, resulting in a very shoddy, cardboard-filled production filled with fairly wooden actors, save for an occasionally decent performance. Still, many a God have admitted that it's fairly entertaining thanks to their flaws, and regardless it's a harmless hobby so nobody's really protesting it. Ever since he ascended, Strong Bad has promised a "Super Mega Pantheon/Dangeresque Crossover" would be made to celebrate the occasion, but barley any progress has been made on its production despite his insistence that it's still in development.
  • If there's anything Strong Bad boasts about the most, it's that he's a huge ladies' man and can charm any female put in front of him, saying that he got "all the ladies" back at home. Initially, this has resulted in him visiting the House of Love and Affection a few times so that he can score himself a few girlfriends. As expected from Strong Bad, it never goes well, as most of the residents find him an annoying perv that would rather ramble on about Grumblecakes instead of actually focus on them. It got so bad that he was eventually banned from entering the Love side of the House until he "cleaned up his act", which finally got Strong Bad to admit that he might need to up his game. On that end, he called up Kyu Sugardust, a lustful fairy that's well known for making even the worst Casanova Wannabe into a chick magnet. She figured that Strong Bad wouldn't be the worst case she took and accepted his challenge. Big mistake: after a whole month of unexplainable shenanigans involving horses, catnip, and Bubs Concession Stand, Kyu ended up reluctantly calling Strong Bad a lost cause and left, mad that her "perfect record" had been broken thanks to his stubbornness. Strong Bad wasn't fond of her either, thinking that her perpetual horniness was weird even by his standards.
  • Ask Strong Bad what his greatest achievement was, and he'll proudly say that it was discovering Strong Badia, which he describes as a thriving country with its own residents and culture, and in his defense, he's made quite a bit of lore for the place. We say "made" because it's clearly just a dirt yard with a fence behind it, with the "residence" consisting of a Stop Sign and a Tire, and maybe The Cheat. That hasn't stopped Strong Bad from being quite defensive of his land, and generally the rest of Free Country either just play along or are flat-out just as convinced as Strong Bad that it's real, even making their own countries to compete with his. He actually once tried to get Strong Badia into The Pantheon but was initially rejected. It wasn't because the request itself was weird, but rather because someone else had already reserved the spot Strong Bad chose to put Strong Badia for their own made up country: Dr. Heinz Doofensmirtz, who wanted to bring Doofania to The Pantheon as a tourist attraction to get some money. Que the most pointless court debate in Pantheonic history, with both Strong Bad and Heinz debating whose country is more deserving of the spot they chose while everyone looked on in confusion. eventually, Doof wised up and decided to move Doofania somewhere else, which Strong Bad took as a victory and he finally got Strong Badia up. The two would shoot each other dirty looks ever since.
  • One day, Strong Bad took his computer to Bubs Concession Stand to fix his computer, which had been acting up recently for reasons he refuses to elaborate on. After a week, bubs seemingly gave him back the computer and Strong Bad went back and used it to, of course, check his emails. To his surprise, not only could he not find his Emails, but the computer itself was openly complaining about not being at "that dog's house". Now, Strong Bad's computers did show sentience every now and again, they certainly weren't as chatty as this one, let alone as sarcastic and rude. The two ended up getting into a 2-hour long argument about the origins of the aglet was, with Strong Bad attempting to string together a story involving Coach Z and a Sammich, while the Computer was exasperated as Strong Bad's air headedness and egotism and attempted to set him straight. Eventually, Strong Bad heard a knock on his door and found a small, purple dog standing outside with his real computer. As it turns out, Bubs was also fixing Courage's sentient computer and somehow had them mixed up, and Courage was stuck with a heavily outdated computer with about a dozen unanswered Emails. The two decided to fix their mistake, gave back their respective computers, and agreed to never mention this incident to anyone ever. The computer did admit that, for as much of a twit that Strong Bad was, he was excellent material for practicing sarcasm at least.

@RJ: Nothing to suggest so [tup] for Amozgus and Rosine.

@PuzzarianIdeal: The Epic Battle Fantasy Team has collected their own monster cards on their quests and would be willing to make exchanges (They'd see it as Fetch Quests) They've also had their own bullet-hell spinoffs (Bullet Heaven 1 & 2). She'd also be wary of Phoney Bone who is known for making a Get-Rich-Quick Scheme here and there. His other two cousins are more pleasant though. The Piglins are hostile to just about anyone that doesn't walk around in gold but they live by bartering (they only accept gold stuff of course).

@Crimson: [tup] for Bandette. Btw, Stealing from Thieves is also a trope.

@snafu: Eh, we've made much longer pretty often before. Karin would be allies with Scrooge McDuck, and likewise rivals with Flintheart Glomgold and Mr. Burns.

@Hamana: [tup]

@NitroIndigo: Platypet's cartoon series would put it under the ire of Judge Doom who is also a Toon but hates Toons in general. Also, since Platox, Platypet's evolution, is adapted to polluted environments, what would it think of Hexxus or Hedorah? Would also be enemies with Pokemon Hunter J since I don't think not technically being a Pokemon would stop her from trying to go after it.

[up][up][up][up] I feel that Voltar's ego would clash too much with Strong Bad's to genuinely be allies, they'd vary from Teeth-Clenched Teamwork to an outright rivalry on occasion. Otherwise, [tup].

A nomination and a rework idea.

WALL•E and Eve: Robo Romance

Rework reason: The film's plot is driven by the growing romantic relationship between the two robots, in spite of all of the outside factors like their programmed functions and all, making it stand out from the other robots who don't share this ability to learn this form of love. Also, the current profile's quality is just super bruh

The Auto-Ops: Monster Closet

Reason: These enemies are known for hiding behind seemingly innocent walls, doors, and passageways, and as their original purpose is for both defense and mining, it's suitable for them to be capable of getting places to ambush you on top of usual fly-around-and-shoot-you methods. They're also intelligent enough to set up ambushes, and especially those under control of the three alien Sovereign AI cores that have assimilated their main creator, CEO Kantor and their mechanical structures. Their usage of this trope is also based on what their game was a Spiritual Successor of, Descent, which used this trope a lot.

@Azure While I appreciate the suggestions, I just want to say that I have flavor text that says the clashing difference between Comic Book characters and simple experts. I mean, I kinda draw the line with Batman and the Punisher given they are normal people with weapons expertise, is it not kinda fair that a regular stealth expert like Sam is pitted against a superpowered organization like A.I.M? At least that's how I write things for consistency. Feel free to disagree but it's my sandbox.

I swear Loid, you can't draw worth shit!
