Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those charactersโ€™ importance to the Pantheonโ€™s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their seriesโ€™ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that charactersโ€™ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a characterโ€™s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the websiteโ€™s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokรฉmon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokรฉmon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokรฉmon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokรฉmon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

The queen of the Land of the Remembered and the king of the Land of the Forgotten make their residence in the Pantheons.

Kamen Rider Build has finished its airing. I was thinking of reserving tropes for now and work on the profiles later. Here are my relevant suggestions:

There's some Fridge Logic I wish to address. Why is it not all right to bring Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond to the Pantheon just because Steven's here? It hasn't stopped alternate timeline versions from ascending, such as Regime Superman, Elphaba Thropp and the Wicked Witch of the West, having two Zeuses (and two Hadeses before that), Game!Serena and Anime!Serena, the Sabrinas from those two media and the manga, Black!Dollface and 2012!Dollface. We had a way of resurrecting other folks who ceased to exist (without invalidating their sacrifice) to arrive here such as Matoro of the Toa Mahri. Hell, I'm getting good enough feedback for the Equestria Girls, who are still just different versions of the Mane Six.

So tell me, besides the possible awkwardness of her and Steven being in the Pantheon together, what's stopping Rose/Pink from existing as a Pantheonic entity while all these others get a pass? If it's because they're from the same timeline and the same "incarnation", what's stopping us from finding some convoluted way of making some excuse of getting her consciousness transferred to a new body?

And if what defines a person is their form, their memories, their experiences, and so on, can one truly say that Steven and Rose are the same person under that definition?

What makes the case between Rose and Steven so special thatโ€”for all the Pantheon's methods of resurrection and ascensions of multiple versions of certain peopleโ€”makes it impossible for them to coexist here? I'm not saying to separate her, but maybe some other gem body and with her data transferred into it or some shit. That's not beyond the Pantheon's capabilities, right?

Lan, MegaMan.EXE, and Cordelia are being reworked here.

I'm also reworking the Men in Black and Odio here.

I'm running ragged right now. Got IDs upon IDs to print.

@Roku: Dude I know the ending. What bugs me is that you seem really pushing it. Sure they did that in the ending... but how does that make them the best example? This is what I meant pushing it just because of them being one example.

And taken from that ending, it'll be improper for the three to rise for that because only Yashiro did the impaling. Shermie and Chris did not. This is not a paired trope. Also they didn't do it in canon, where they just fought Team Esaka, lost and that's it. No impaling done.

I'm fine with The New Faces Team ascending. But your proposed trope simply do not fit. Sorry to sound like a Commander Contrarian but even if you've been sitting on them for so long, that's no reason to find a trope that doesn't fit all three best and fair.

[up][up] You are using examples of an Alternate Self to justify Rose and Steven, they are nit a case of that. Steven only exist because Rose gave up her for to create him.

@faso: Not yet. First off; tell me what defines a person. If it's their form, their memories, their experiences, and so on, can one truly say that Steven and Rose are the same person under that definition?

And again, what makes the case between Rose and Steven so special thatโ€”for all the Pantheon's methods of resurrection and ascensions of multiple versions of certain peopleโ€”makes it impossible for them to coexist in the Pantheon? I'm not saying to separate her, but maybe some other gem body and with her data copied into it or some shit. That's not beyond the Pantheon's capabilities, right?

For the record, I was planning on (ironically) assigning her as Peridot's herald. This is not for ascension plans.

[up] All those examples you have listed are from people that have existed in other timelines. Never have they ever share the same body or soul.

That's the problem with Rose. She is part of Steven, even if she and Steven have distinct memories and personalities, canon has strictly stated that both cannot coexist and so Rose is not doable because Steven is here and she is part of him.

The only out for her is if the show confirms a way for both to exists at the same time. And that's all i am going to say about it

its not like we are going to ascend Multiple Doctors or Masters. Yeah, they were times when multiple Doctors appeared on screen, but it's been said to be a bad thing.

Also, again, using Alternate Self is a bad comperison since they are separate beings. For example, there was no way I would of Ascsended Altria Pendragon Alter since she was just a corrupted Altria back in FSN era. However, Alteria ended up being her own being in later installments so it would be ok.

@Nightelf, Rosa Quartz gave her life up for Steven. Steven canโ€™t exist without Rosa Quartz inside her. There is no alternative universe like Rick And Morty where ascending alternative versions make sense. I donโ€™t even watch Steven Universe and I know this stuff.

@faso: The Pantheon took someone's self from the past (Jaina). The Pantheon rescued one's spirit just before it was canonically completely obliterated (Matoro). It's sometimes done some weird stuff to bring certain people here. Can't the Pantheon grab one from an alternate timeline or something? Canonically, in "Steven and the Stevens", Steven did end up making alternate timelines (with alternate selves) before destroying the relic that he used to make that happen. It was a weird episode. Can't her data be "copied" from one of those Stevens right before the Alternate Selves died or something like that?

@Whirl: โ€ฆDarn, my rework for Live A Live's Odio was going to have all of his incarnations being present in his temple. What should I do for that instead?

[up] Steven Universe S1E22 "Steven and the Stevens" begs to differ. Sure, they're erased quickly after, but still.

@Bazzard: I'm transferring him over to you. I only made it because I thought work on it was cancelled. I checked the Related pages for Sandboxes that had a link to Faster Than They Look. Only Ferot had it, and it was in their big list.

[down]Eh, it was worth bringing up.

[down][down]I just got it straight from Garnet's profile. Maybe that should be changed, too. Can someone do that for me?

That Jaina was a mistake and so were a lot of Mortal Kombat profiles. I will make sure to fix the former. Matoro is another case of death, which is usually ignored in the pantheon.

[up] I don't know about that. I always believed those stevens were just a mere simple copy, not a clone.

You can make the case that yes, you can bend time and space and bring a Rose Quartz that didn't give birth to Steven. But we try the best to NOT deviate too much from canon. Simply put, Rose is part of Steven right now and ascending her is, for lack of a better word, pointless.

Or you could have a poll about how others feel about Rose. Then you will see that others don't care or are against the idea of Rose being separate and then you will realize you are wasting everyone's time.

@ Nightelf: I have certain concerns about Rose ascending to the Pantheon. As Faso said, there are certain things about canon that we should respect. I understand the Pantheon can only be enjoyed with an open mind and huge amount of suspension of disbelief, but canon dictates that Steven only exists because Rose gave up her life for him. Also, since Steven Universe is a pretty big hit in current times, how do we know this isn't a hype profile or just giving her a profile for completionism's sake? Also, that part about Greg Universe disapproving of Love at First Sight comes off as posturing in my opinion. There are works of fiction, namely Disney, that operate on that principle, and just because Love at First Sight didn't work out for Greg and Rose, doesn't mean it didn't work out for those deities. If anything, Greg and the deities that approve of Love at First Sight could be in an Agree to Disagree kind of relationship.

@ Old Lady: Maybe Ash Ketchum and his friends could try to be friends with Lisa, being aware of her attempts to become a better person.

@Whirl: Regarding my suggestions, to prevent confusion I'm planning to ascend the pre-world merge versions of Kazumi and Gentoku. How does that sound? I know Heisei Generations Forever will be way far into the future to provide more explainations, but come on.

Also those are great choices for Evolt, though Ferot_Dreadnaught has a profile of Grahf with I Need You Stronger. You wanna do Evolt's profile or I will? Cause I got a lot of ideas for him.

EDIT: [down] Very well. Hope to see your draft on Evolt.

@Nightelf: Sorry, I'm gonna have to agree with Faso and Whirl. Even if you come up with a reasonable explanation for Rose being separate from Steven, it is just fan speculation to everyone else.

Some smaller additions to Ren, nothing mayor on the rest. Have been kinda stuck lately.

Ren Fujii, Guardian of the Stable Life (Zarathustra, Bastard son of Krafft, The Ephemeral Moment, Guardian of the 5th Heaven, Tenma Yato, Mugen Daiguren Jigoku)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_ren_fujii_alt.png
Click here to see Ren's Law
  • Possible House:
  • Intermediate God, Greater God when under the effect of Eine Faust Finale. Becomes an Overdeity after emanating.
  • Symbol: A guillotine surrounded by a caduceus
  • Theme Song: Einsatz
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Treasuring the predicable life, Bringing time to a halt, Chopping off heads, Being made artificially, Being able to kill in one hit, Having no true control over his life, Being the embodiment of his law, Being nigh impossible to hurt, Being Un-aging
  • Domains: Time and Space, Defense, Life
  • Herald: Marguerite Breuilh, Shirou Yusa, Machina
  • Allies: The Living Tribunal, Asura
  • Rivals: Shirou Emiya
  • Enemies: Hajun, Mercurius, Lucifer, Yoshikage Kira, Dio Brando
  • A high-school student from Suwahara City content with living life as it is, treasuring the brief moments he has with his friends above all else. All this comes undone however when he ends up in an argument with his best worst friend Shirou Yusa. And unknown to Ren, it is just about to get worse as he get's dragged into a massive plot involving a group of supernatural Nazi's called the Longinus Dreizehn Orden that plans to summon their leader, Reinhard Tristan Eugen Heydrich, into our world. All while he finds out he is supposed to be someone called Zarathustra that is going to help bring it about.
  • He is soon driven into an encounter with a mysterious cursed girl named Marguerite Breuilh (Marie) and the guillotine that claimed her life, becoming its wielder and Marie's partner. Despite his reluctance, Ren is left with little choice but to go along with the Orden's plan lest whatever is left of his treasured life is lost forever, since at the very least it means he will be able to face the one behind all of this.
  • The guillotine he wields, Bois de Justice, appears as a large curved blade protruding from his arm that is able to harness Marie's curse and is thus able to kill anyone whose neck makes contact with its blade, regardless of regeneration or immortality.
    • His main ability, his Beri'ah, Eine Faust Ouvertüre, stemming from his desire for time to stop and preserve the days he so value, allows him to accelerate his own time effectively slowing down everything around him from his perspective.
    • Additionally, should Ren ever crave power from Mercurius or be lost to rage and despair, his craving will distort becoming a twisted and unrestrained version of his wish, Eine Faust Finale. In this state his body will distort into a hellish mockery of his past self and will start to slow down time around him in addition to speeding up his own, all while gravity increases to unprecedented levels in the field of effect.
    • He eventually also gains the ability known as Time Armor which freezes his own state in time to a single moment, effectively rendering him immune to all damage.
  • Eventually he comes to understand that he was effectively created for this entire plan and never had any real free will, only meant as a vessel for Marie and to offer Reinhard the fight he so desires, and as such have little choice but to see the plan to it's conclusion. It all culminates with him emanating his law of the ephemeral moment to counter Reinhard's law of eternal strife, in turn allowing Marie to emanate hers just as Mercurius had planned. Eventually, Reinhard meets his defeat satisfied while Marie becomes the 5th Heaven, succeeding Mercurius, while Ren continues with his life now as a time locked existence.
    • Unfortunately this would come to an end as a being known as Hajun would rise to power thanks to Marie's law, killing her and becoming the 6th Heaven. Ren was able to prevent to absolute destruction of everything by forcefully invoking his law, locking Hajun in his tracks, and becoming a being known as Tenma Yato in the process. Ren would hold this lock for more than 8000 years, an act that would wear on his sanity until he was killed by the Eastern Expedition.
  • After his ascension to the Pantheon, he can often be found in the House of Schools almost more often than he can be found in his own. This seems to largely stem from his desire to just have his regular routine.
  • His relationship with Mercurius is a complicated and strained one. While technically Ren's real father, his constantly scheming and controlling habits as well as being the leading cause of the whole mess that turned his life upside down has made Ren despise him, perhaps to an extent more so than even his hatred for Reinhard.
  • He is a close ally of The Living Tribunal, since unlike other Gods of the Throne, he never ascended the Throne despite having the right to do so. Additionally, his desire for stability and permanence alongside his Law and past history with Hajun has lead to him being put in a favorable position as a warden and peacekeeper.
  • Despite their apparent similarities at first glance, Ren can't stand Shirou Emiya, finding him a hopeless case stuck in the past with unrealistic ideals whose stubbornly refusing to accept and grow. To Ren, at the end of the day, the only ones you are likely to save are those close to you that you care about, all to preserve the life you live right now. That, and he just can't seem to bring himself to like the guy, for some reason.
  • After his stint of being overwhelmed by his rage and emotions under Eine Faust Finale, Ren found an unlikely mentor figure in Asura. Given that both had shared similar experiences of losing control, it should perhaps no be a surprise. To Ren, Asura ends up being a great help for helping him control himself as well as turning the rage to something constructive.
  • One guy Ren cannot stand is Lucifer, specifically the fact that he seeks to uproot the status quo, something that Ren is very defensive about. Lucifer meanwhile argues that it is a necessary evil to bring about positive change for everyone. What infuriates Ren even more is that inside, he knows that Lucifer is at least partially right given who he is up against, yet he feels he cannot allow Lucifer to have his way.
  • Has really conflicted opinions on Yoshikage Kira. On one hand he finds Kira's nature as a serial killer hard to tolerate given that it was a string of murders that ruined his once peaceful life, to say nothing of the slaughters carried out by his nemesis, the L.D.O. But on the other hand he can also sympathize with him for wanting to just live a peaceful and predicable life. Further complicating his emotions regarding Kira, it was his own obsession with the peaceful life that birthed his law of eternal stagnation, something he realized could not be allowed to exist. In some ways, he kinda sees himself similar to Kira, being a pair of fools desperate to retain their comfort at the expense of the world and everyone in it.

Ferot: Sorry for not getting back to you; I was finishing up a series this weekend.

  • First up, if Serena's Braixen had more moments with Ash's Greninja (and if they shared a breeding group), or if she had helped to set up a few encounters between her and Ash, I would have put her in as Serena's Herald, straight up. Before I remembered Mairin, my original options for Herald were Drew, who was May's SLI but had no contact with Serena, and Miette, who was portrayed as a Love Rival, but either came around or supported Serena from the get-go. I had no doubts about Mairin being A: loyal to Serena and B: a Satellite Character (to Alain); the only question was whether she was a LI for him as well, hence her Implied status.
  • Secondly, from the Template (emphasis added)
High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen.

Mairin is from the same series and, therefore, cannot be High Priestess. Perhaps the two can be co-heralds, but if push comes to shove I would endorse Mairin over Braixen for the reasons stated above.

The Footnote revisions can stand.

  • Domains: Magic, Curses, Artifice, Evil, Earth, Air
  • Allies: Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Shinnok, Dormammu
  • Rivals: Onaga, Demitri Maximoff, Rose, Jedah Dohma
  • Enemies: Maya Fallegeros, Jago, ARIA, Kim Wu, Doctor Strange, Zatanna Zatara, The Ascended Sailor Scouts
  • Opposed by: Anakaris
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Imhotep
  • Complicated Relationship: Gargos
  • Between Ultratech and Gargos, it can be difficult to see that there are other evil beings in the Killer Instinct world with their own agendas. One of them is a mummy by the name of Kan-Ra. After spending centuries collecting artifacts, he bit more than he could chew when he summoned Gargos. While unlike by multiple parties, he nevertheless managed a place in the Pantheon.
  • As stated before, he has no amount of allies in his own world, which remains true in the Pantheon. Jago blames him for unleashing Gargos which nearly got him brainwashed; Gargos was irritated when Kan-Ra sided with the heroes to oppose him and ARIA would have no business with a supernatural being, especially one who keeps stealing some of her technology. And Maya sees him as a top prospect to eliminate. Not even Kim Wu would keep close to the mummy and he was key to helping her defeat Gargos. It was best for him to go at it alone as he usually did.
  • Was immediately banned from visiting the Items section of the Pantheon. There was no doubt on anyone's mind that he would make an attempt to steal one of those powerful items. It was imperative that he doesn't set off another powerful being.
  • Made an attempt to knock off Anarkaris of his throne, arguing that he does not represent mummies in general with his good nature. While that may be true, Anarkaris stated he would only be forced off. It didn't help that Kan-Ra was not a mummy; he was forced to appear as one after being cursed by a king. He isn't even from Egypt, but from Babylon. Try as he might, Kan-Ra was no match for the ancient mummy. He may not need the temple to enter the Pantheon, but one can expect Kan-Ra to exact his revenge in some way.
    • Working with Imhotep was an easier excursion. The deposed former pharaoh needed someone capable of finding relics that can help him become human again. Kan-Ra proved to be useful in that regard. With that said, he is not ready to fully trust the mummy given the later's track record.
    • As he isn't actually from Egypt, the Egyptian Gods felt he was not of their concern. Still, they do not take his thefts of their temples too kindly and may occasionally send minions to deal with him.
  • He did manage to find some allies along the way. Within the GUAE, he befriended Quan Chi and Shinnok, dwellers of Underworld. The mummy's tracking abilities pleased Quan Chi, 2ho could use some help to amass some artifacts of his own to become more powerful. With that said, Kan-Ra has been careful not to give him anything that would surpass his own power.
    • The same can be said for Shang Tsung, and the mummy has been masterful in keeping both sorcerers content without favoring one over the other.
    • Would not work with Onaga. Quan Chi made a similar mistake in unleashing the Dragon King, and yet another being bent on ruling his world is more than enough problems for Kan-Ra to handle.
  • Jedah was a welcoming change of pace compared to the cutthroat supernatural foes. He agreed to an audience where they conversed on their goals. When they left, both were willing to work with each other. Yet Kan-Ra would secretly put himself at arms length; he has heard about how manipulative the Noble Demon can be. While he is no longer human, he had a feeling that Jedah had little respect towards the newcomer.
  • Is wary of giving anything of significance to Dormammu. He learned his lesson form Gargos and isn't keen on giving the Dimension Lord any footing on his plan. He is willing to help the demon defeat archenemy Doctor Strange with an assortment of items for unique trinkets of his own.
  • It was of no surprise that he would have to deal with pesky heroes trying to disrupt his work.
    • Among which is the stage magician known as Zatanna. While her magic is superior to that of his own, he has been able to elude her by wrapping her in his wraps before making his escape.
    • Doctor Strange saw to it that his Sanctum Sanctorum is tightly locked and sealed to prevent Kan-Ra from entering and stealing any valuables. It is unlikely that the mummy can beat Strange in a fair fight, but he is content of waiting for an opportunity to get the jump on the Sorcerer Supreme.
    • The fortune teller Rose has likened the mummy to someone who should have never given a new lease in life. She has offered her abilities of prediction to Jago and the like in order to thwart him.
    • To the Sailor Scouts, Kan-Ra feels like another Monster of the Week that has to be taken care of. Unlike the others, they may have a way to permanently reduce Kan-Ra to ashes. That is why the mummy is more wary towards crossing paths with them.

Joe Higashi, God of Handwraps (The Young Muay Thai Champ)

  • Herald: Hwa Jai
  • Allies:
  • Friendly Rivalry: with King
  • Rivals: Sagat, Juri Han, Laura Matsuda, Rashid, Adon, Asuka Kazama
  • Annoyed By: The Scout
  • Conflicting Opinion: Billy Kane
  • Enemies: Geese Howard, Rugal Bernstein, Ryuji Yamazaki, Akuma, Vega, M. Bison
  • The ascended deities representing the King of Fighters had a bet as to who would be the next to ascend between Andy Bogard and Joe Higashi, the former being the favorite to ascend. Much money was lost when Joe's ascension cleared, with Billy Kane and Leona Heidern the biggest winners out of the pool.
  • Joe was annoyed to find out that Wolfgang Krauser has not ascended yet. He hasn't forgotten that one incident in which the Stroheim Strongman left him with 2 dozen broken bones following their encounter.
  • This brought a mixed bit of emotions to Billy Kane, the right hand man of Geese Howard. Joe is paired with Terry Bogard, an intense enemy of his boss. Yet Joe ended up dating his sister. All attempts to dissuade her from continue was shot down. This means that he how has to contend with this jerk once more... though it also means that his sister may appear in the Pantheon more often. Either way, Kane shook his head on the coming mess he will face.
  • Spends time at the House of Food whenever they serve up his favorite dish: fried alligator meat.
  • Joe was suprised to see the Bar Illusion in the Pantheon, which meant that King herself has ascended. While he is a bit annoyed that she was able to join the Pantheon before him, he is happy to see his old rival present.
  • Joe quickly became intense rivals with Muay Tai practitioner Sagat. Sadly, the King made short work of Joe to maintain the title. Joe then set his sites on Sagat's former protege Adon. That proved to be a more equal fight, though Adon himself wants to get the pleasure of becoming the new King of Muay Tai. The battles are often vicious with the two trading wins against each other.
  • Was quick to join Terry in his bouts with Ryu and Ken. Usually, Andy Bogard is the more familiar partner, but Terry's brother yet to appear in the Pantheon Joe would have to do.
  • Often fights to rid himself of the notion of being a Joke Character. And yet he has Dan Hibiki as one of his best friends outside his world. The two even managed to win a tournament together. Nevertheless, Joe easily proved himself to be the superior fighter whenever the two met.
  • Outside of Muay Thai, he set his eyes on other worthy opponents. That peaked the interest of Laura, who was hoping to find someone to promote her dojo. Besides fighting each other, the two also argue which fighting style is best in an MMA setting.
  • Juri is always willing to accept a challenge from eager (yet foolish) fighters, and Joe fit the bill to a tee.
  • It was his dream to take on the dreaded Akuma. The demon initially had no interest in fighting the fool, but Joe persisted by taunting him wherever he went. Eventually, Akuma had enough and took on his foe head on... proceeding to wipe the floor with Joe. That didn't stop the later from making Akuma his top priority to defeat.
  • His main source of power is his ability to punch fast enough to create tornados towards his opponents. With enough power, he can create more powerful gusts of wind. It was thought that he would get into the Pantheon for originating the Tornado Move... that is until a certain Middle Easterner proved popular enough to take the title from him. Not one to take slights unheeded, Joe demanded a fight to settle the dispute. While the two fought valiantly, it was decided that Rashid would keep his title.
  • As stated above, he is extremely prone to starting brawls, even for a fighting game character. That has brought a lot of stress to Asuka, who often breaks up said fights. With that said, she isn't adverse to taking him on if the moment is needed. As a result, the two are familiar with each other.
  • Brash and arrogant, he nevertheless sides with the good-aligned fighters in the Pantheon. Besides, all the evil ones tend to be the most powerful ones. For example, he got to help Ryu take on Shadaloo one time.
  • There was one time when he and The Scout went on a taunt fest that lasted for weeks. The two couldn't even decided how things escalated the way they did, but neither wanted to end up as the loser. In the end, the Court of the Gods was involved, who decided that both were winners just to bring the taunting to an end.
