Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@Burgermiester: The PPGZ use giant children's toys to fight evil. Powered Buttercup uses a mallet, Rolling Bubbles uses a bubble wand, and Hyper Blossom uses a yo-yo. I’d imagine that last one might make him the most angry since he secretly likes yo-yos.

@ DoodSlayer136: Cody Travers is a vigilante-turned-jailbird-turned-mayor of Metro City, inheriting the position from Mike Haggar, the previous mayor. Even if he's not quite the best person for the job (and finds it tedious even), he has a strong sense of right and maintains his drive to clean up the city, just like Mike (both figurately and literally). So naturally, Cody wouldn't be fond of him with how he runs things.

Quite a number of the villains the Care Bears faced a number of villains against emotions and caring in general. Can't say they'd be too fond of the mayor and making Sombertown so dang miserable.

Laetitia would likewise see him as quite the meanie. Of course, her solution would be to send one of her "gifts" to get him to lighten up, see his faults, and maybe become friends. Considering her doll-like ascethetic, she would end up helping vindicate his hatred for toys. Not that she'd know.

All my fault, you say...? What fault? I daresay it's all thanks to me.

First draft for BoBoiBoy's profile, not launching so soon but I have some questions about how to do this well. I also accept any feedback, since this is my first. note .

Questions:

  1. Would this be God, God(s), or [something else]? The Elemental Forms are his counterparts and I am kind of treating this like a group profile.
  2. For the nicknames, I've included the Malay/original versions of their names, as well as a little pronunciation help with labelnotes. Also, Blaze and Solar's names are the same in both languages, hence the (Tier 1) in their lists, indicating which name is translated. Is this okay?
  3. Which hall would this profile go in? I think this would be in the House of Personality, but where?

Thank you all in advance.

Profile:

[up] For Hall placement, I would go with Personality Misc. and Elements and Nature: Other (A profile can be in two different Halls to fit different aspects of a trope).

[up] Alright, thank you 👍

Just realised that I forgot to think of Herald, High Priest and Followers so that's something to make later.

Another question, would he be listed as an Intermediate God or a Demigod? I lean the former; even though his powers are confined to the watch, it seems that he rarely takes it off.

Whatever level of power he is in for the most amount of time should be his rank. Jebus gets all his power from the halo he wears, and has nothing but some fighting skills without it. Yet, since he never takes it off, he gets the Intermediate rank. So I think he should also be listed as Intermediate too.

Note I am probably not going to pursue this, but I thought it might be good for other people to know

Given the nature of We Didn't Start the Führer, I am wondering how it would be approached. Obviously even a fictional/magic Hitler is too flame baity to ascend, however I think you could get away with it being the supernatural force or otherworldly entity that made Hitler Hitler. On a related note, would Godwin's Law of Time Travel and Hitler's Time Travel Exemption Act go to the one who caused the timeline or a product of said timeline?

[up] Adolf Hitler is admittedly an interesting case study to read about, and I can understand why some people would want to pay interest reading about him, regardless if he was a horrible piece of work.

However, the Pantheon strives to be as accessible and non-controversial as possible. Hitler is easily the most controversial historical figure to bring up even for a discussion. I am aware of your past attempt to work on him and you're not going to pursue it again, but it's best that we leave it behind. Hitler is too stressful of a subject to bring up here and while the guy is certainly interesting to learn about, I'd rather take it to another discussion thread or a different website.

As for tropes, yeah, there are some that are specifically and solely about Hitler, but considering the stance we've made on the guy, it's pretty clear that those tropes are likely to never really have a nomination in the Pantheon, something that doesn't particularly bother me.

I'm not saying Hitler ascends, I'm saying if these tropes could work with someone who isn't Hitler but still facilitates the trope (eg: someone who went back to stop Hitler only for it to backfire)

  • On one particular Saturday, five high school students were all brought into detention for various issues regarding them, all a bunch of strangers who never knew each other before. Brought in to complete an essay for fulfilling their detention, their distinct personalities were bound to end with trouble. However, these students, while coming in for different purposes, all found the same thing in the end of all the chaos they caused. A mutual understanding of each other, and the struggles and dysfunctions that each made all of them who they were. And despite how each of them was a different kind of student entirely, the group made of a brain, a beauty, a jock, a rebel, and a recluse, they found themselves finding enough in common with each other for what would be an unforgettable few hours of enlightenment and bonding.
  • The five students of Shermer High would all part ways after that fateful day, and they didn't know what would await either their academic nor domestic life for either them nor each other. That night, they all slept expecting to continue the dreary lives they had before, but with a newfound resolve or some hope, perhaps. All of them woke up to find that they were now in the hands of a much different fate awaiting them. A whole world of more vibrant individuals and groups, some much more pleasant than the students and adults they were familiar, others somehow much, much worse. Each of them eventually met each other, gladly embracing each other then wondering where the hell were they, let alone how they got here. They started blaming John for the weed they smoked somehow being behind it all, only for Allison (the one who didn't smoke) to make a guess that this was some place where weird special people from different worlds hung out. The lot of them were introduced to the Pantheon, telling them of their ascension as new deities, now immortal and able to live a new life in the Pantheon. After Bender made a crude joke about killing one of them to test out their Resurrective Immortality, they were all sent to the Elysium Academy to go through with finishing their education, but in a new environment much different to the ones they had before. While intimidated by the new life and culture ahead of them, they were overall more excited by the idea of getting a new start on their reputation as students and as people, without their families and former friends to influence them.
  • From the popular to the unpopular, all of them have had many obstacles when it came to adapting to a new school life. While they no longer had to deal with the burdens of their own families and no longer needed to worry about living with their own people, starting over from scratch was expectedly rough for them. Even with their temple effectively giving each of them suitable housing for their own tastes and interests, the kinds of values and social standards they lived by were much different from back in their own school. Most significantly, things like bullying, harassment, and abuse were taken much more seriously, not to mention that it was much more difficult for John Bender to sneak in some weed inside. With a more progressive, watchful, and somewhat more friendly community among the school representatives, there was a good chance for them to adapt. Since they didn't get to bring the likes of their families along, all the Breakfast Club have in familiar allies are themselves, so now they have to really learn how to stick together, something they were getting the hang of, but not just at school detention this time.
  • Being someone highly experienced with putting his foot down when it came to bullies, the Shermer High students have crossed paths with Jimmy Hopkins, himself a student of Bullworth Academy, a school with much more severe bullying problems and troublesome students and cliques. The Breakfast Club found Jimmy to be surprisingly noble for such a rebellious student that got sent to the academy because he was such a mischievous kid, so even John Bender is impressed with him, knowing very well he isn't someone to push around. Jimmy himself notes that most of them would fit right into Bullworth Academy's cliques, Bender fitting in with the Greasers, Claire with the Preppies, Andrew with the Jocks, and Brian with the Nerds. The one exception, Allison, ends up reminding him of his buddy Pete Kowalski, a quiet and asocial friend who's more wise to things than they appear. He's also had to give them advice with dealing with all sorts of students, both nice and nasty. Given that John actually tried to go after Gary Smith earlier thinking it would be simple to kick Gary's face in, only to unwittingly get caught into one of his schemes, indirectly causing the Breakfast Club to indirectly get into trouble, Jimmy wants to make sure that doesn't occur again.
  • When it comes to the school staff in the Pantheon, they've felt right at home knowing that some of them are just as unpleasant as the ones from Shermer High. In particular, Seymour Skinner's harsh and inconsiderate attitude not only displeases them but reminds them too much about their own principal, Dick Vernon. Hearing that Skinner made Mr. Vernon "his High Priest" was all the more alarming to them, but they realized that even if Vernon had gotten a higher position in the Pantheon like theirs, he'd have just as much, if not more trouble adapting to the Pantheon than they have. There were also some teachers that the five of them vouched never to learn under. While thankfully not under their normal range of students to teach, they hope not to deal with the likes of either Denzel Crocker for his ridiculous assignments and grades (especially not Brian) and Agatha Trunchbull, an absurdly harsh and cruel teacher who they enjoy seeing suffer for all the trouble she causes to students. Allison herself also befriended Matilda Wormwood in particular, due to her ability to deal with people like Trunchbull, her similar home life of being neglected by her parents, and because her telekinetic powers are funny.
  • While some of them do feel sad about leaving their former families (especially Claire), they'd rather not think too much about the House of Family all that much. One main reason is the presence of the Child Abuse Supporters there, who remind them of all the more dreadful aspects of their home life. While they know it's not their place to deal with them personally at all, they've spoken in jest before that Lady Tremaine shouldn't be left in a room alone with them, John also boasting about returning home with an animal skin from a certain lion (he has yet to back up his words). However, if they've met people from that House who've experienced similar troubles to them, they'll try to be as supportive as they can. Malcolm Wilkerson for one found the lot of them to be neat friends to hang out with when his family is unbearable, though some would say that John Bender isn't a good influence. Malcolm also happens to find Brian to be the most relatable out of all of them, excelling at so many things, except for one particular subject that ends up being a source of frustration for them, with shop class being Brian's bane and music appreciation being Malcolm's, both of them initially seeing those classes as easy A grades.
  • Seeing some of the more fantastical and powerful deities have their own family issues has gotten the Breakfast Club to wonder if they somehow got it off easy. The family feud regarding the Mishimas is so twisted to them that they not only root for Jin to win out against both of them but even speculate that both Kazuya and Heihachi hate each other too much to be able to live without each other. The Malfoys, while the magic academy they come from is hard for them to comprehend, the likes of Andrew and John can see a bit of themselves in Drake, even. Drake himself who tried his best to be as nice as could to curious muggles like them would tell them all about his struggles in not being the father that Lucius was to him as he tries to take care of his own new son, Scorpius, something the Breakfast Club can appreciate. There was also the trio of Danny, Sam, and Tucker in the Pantheon, who were all generally unpopular students that had to go a long way to earn their respect from their peers. The three of them were relieved to know that the likes of Andrew and Claire, weren't intending on being high-and-mighty bullies this time around, though John is still someone they have difficulties being chummy with. While Brian and Tucker get along the best between them, Sam's quirky attempts at being progressive, while appreciated, sometimes get out of hand, so while they're still on very good terms, it's mainly Allison that interacts with her the most out of all the five.
  • The Breakfast Club surprisingly made a good buddy out of Dr. Doofenshmirtz of all people. For one, they find a majority of his inventions and strange "-inators" to be interesting if not hilariously entertaining, so it wasn't even just Bender that didn't mind his former villain status that much. They also noted how absurdly neglectful and dismissive his parents were toward him, as if he weren't even their own kid, not to mention being in the shadow of his brother as well, which ended up with them wincing at the imagined emotional pain of such an experience. What ended up solidifying their friendship with each other was how he managed to raise his own daughter Vanessa and in a much more caring manner that his parents couldn't hope to live up to, earning the Breakfast Club's genuine respect. And while not particularly in a similar situation, they've hung out with the Eds, mainly for watching the shenanigans they end up in for entertainment, also because they've had sympathetic domestic lives as well. Most significantly is Eddy who ended up being influenced negatively by his abusive brother, which caused him to develop similar shady behaviors in the name of earning his respect, only to eventually find that his brother had little respect to give, and eventually broke away from such a toxic family relationship. Not to mention Brian in particular getting along with Edd the most, exchanging bits and pieces of the things they've learned with each other.
  • Given the Phantom Thieves' own struggles regarding their own domestic lives, they were quick to get friendly with the Breakfast Club. Given that they all had their own issues to "brag" about to each other, they mostly find each other as other friendly students to work alongside. Brian helps them out with their school assignments (Brian anticipates becoming a Homework Slave to them sooner or later), Allison watching Yusuke create art, or everyone else dealing with Bender becoming unbearable to other students on occasion. Even though there's much they agree about on, like how insufferable some teachers like a certain Kamoshida were, or the problems that clique-like school culture brought up, the Phantom Thieves still try not to get too chummy with the Breakfast Club. It's mainly since they don't want the likes of them getting too curious about their work involving their Personas. They were ill-prepared for the Noodle Incident that led to Allison of all of them discovering and getting lost in the Metaverse, however. The events that transpired for such a conclusion to occur was apparently embarrassing enough for them to not want to explain them to others about it, but at least they know how to prevent Allison's curious and snooping nature from getting the best of them again.
  • For John:
    • John Bender being the most delinquent-like in nature of the Breakfast Club, he had a lot of trouble getting along with other students and faculty in the Pantheon. People are more understanding of his particular Freudian Excuse but they're not going to let his problematic behavior slide because of it. They're especially tough on Bender's advances on Claire in particular, and make it clear that similar behavior isn't going to be tolerated as it was back in their days. While Claire doesn't think it's all that necessary and wants to keep Bender out of trouble, part of her does smugly enjoy watching Bender getting humbled for his actions. But despite how he likes to act proud of being such a troublemaker, deep down he really does hope he can learn to be the better student people want him to be, mainly due to how grateful he is from being far, far away from his poor excuses of parents.
  • For Andrew:
    • Regretting his time of being a tough and cruel bully just for the sake of appearing super masculine, Andy came in hoping that he could avoid doing such things again. While he certainly was a lot nicer to the less popular kids and athletes at school, which didn't go unnoticed, some people pointed out that he was trying too hard and appeared meek due to putting so much effort into not being a bully toward others. His new friends assured him that without his dad around, he would be better off just trying to be himself, since if he at his core isn't as toxic and uncaring as his father was, he won't necessarily turn worse just by being himself. And even if he somehow did relapse into his old ways, other students would be more willing to set him straight. Andrew himself also has someone to set straight, mainly Biff Tannen who didn't really move on from his bullying ways even as an adult. Not to mention seeing how miserable he was as a grown adult showed Andrew how much of a terrible life Andrew was in for if he continued to live the way his dad wanted him to live like.
  • For Claire:
    • Having gained popularity by being Shermer High's Alpha Bitch, Claire thought it would be nice to start over and use her social knowledge for a more humble reputation. Given how used she was to being in the spotlight, it proved difficult to get used to amending her ways, but people were willing to getting along with her regardless. Some of the more notable friends she gained were Kim Possible and Sabrina Spellman, both of them having dealt with more insufferable girls like some of Claire's former friends, and wanted to show appreciation for Claire attempting to do better than them. Notably, one of said haughty popular students, Libby Chessler, sees Claire's growing friend circle as competition, and has plans on snuffing out Claire's popularity, not that people will make it easier for her. That said, Claire herself worries about now being on the receiving end of the condescending manners of her old lifestyle.
  • For Allison:
    • Aside from Bender, Allison ended up having a similarly difficult time adapting to her new school life at the Pantheon. While she's been somewhat better at reaching out to potential new friends and is beginning to develop decent social skills, part of her aloof nature isn't used to her more attentive teachers and peers. Used to just goofing off in class and showing off her stranger talents over actually learning things has highlighted how far behind she is in terms of book smarts, since back then no one really cared how successful she was. She does appreciate people trying to reach out to her more, but being used to having little friends or interactions is something many loners like her have to adjust to.
  • For Brian:
    • Brian, having been so focused on learning everything just to keep his high grades, even at the expense of his social skills, would try to improve his ability to socialize more since education-wise, he had a headstart over the rest of the Breakfast Club. While there have been newer subjects and updated knowledge to keep him from getting complacent, at least he didn't have to deal with that dreaded shop class. Despite not having his nasty Education Mama mercilessly watching his grades, he still ends up getting rather nervous when he feels like he's struggling at a particular class. Some habits don't die easy and for all of his attempts to move on, the dreaded B grade still makes him feel very uneasy.

So we’re going back to the Hitler conversation right now? Well, since I am one of more notorious guys here who have been open to historical figures I’ll throw in my two cents.

Yeah, hell no. I know there are some people here spreading the statement that I embrace the idea of a Hitler profile but come on people, I might not have the best moments but dont need to make lies born from selective memory. Hell, I remember a mod stepping in to basically say, “Fuck that idea” to a Hitler profile with Hitler Ate Sugar (which trope choice on its own is more titling for me). Not to say that someone else cant find a trope without using Hitler himself, though I would say really find something out there to convince everyone that itll work.

Also, RJ, I’m not gonna accuse you of anything bad but this is actually a concern. You kinda went through a phase of tropes that have a certain president as an archetype and I know its just you filling places of unrepresented tropes, though I am worried that you might go through a spree of filling in the tropes that revolve around Hitler and people will see the worst in that. Again, thats just how you operate and honestly, we kinda need that here, but people might start raising eyebrows at that potential pattern,

@RJ-19-CLOVIS-93 - Bishop Mozgus

@GamerLuna2022 - Jashin-chan

  • Given that most Tropers here already give some good advice, my only advice is to specify her possible closest Heralds. Not advising to list everyone, just list her possible close friend, family or ect. List the ones considered "loyal" to her.

@Cutegirl920fire - The Fitzgeralds

  • I'll look into their histories and their show later. For now, I'm going to share deities who lived during this time period. Keep in mind that you don't have to include all of them, just excluded the ones to where their similarities are superficial (i.e. one has a sword, the other has a sword, but it doesn't mean that they are automatically friends.
  • (Suggested) Deities from Works mostly set in 20s:
  • IRL Deities who lived/thrived around in this time period:
  • Deities from the Alternative version of the 20s but not in America (It's a bit of a stretch but I just like to see The Fitzgeralds interact with different cultures, just because. Feel free to skip this one they feel too unrelated):

@DoodSlayer136 - Burgermeister Meisterburger
  • Imo, I think it needs more deities from his Trope. May I suggest Big Brother who also despises fun for the Evulz? They are more horrific in implementing it tho.
  • Other deities listed: Napoleon (corrupt leader of farm animals who insists only his rules are allowed), Captain Beatty (in charge of a burning book to prevent the spread of dangerous knowledge)
  • Any LEGO from the Lego Movie would not like him/he would not like them. Even President Business who used to ban creativity but had a face-heel turn, would not like him even if he wasn't a toy himself

@BlackFaithStar - BoBoiBoy
  • "God(s)" sounds fine since you are counting him and his personalities as a group.
  • Including English and Malay versions of his name is also good as well.
  • You know else gets a powerful watch with alien origins, with different sets of powers? My Mom.
  • Will give more later since you are only asking for basic profile feedback.

I just noticed that Allergic to Routine is without a representing god, nor is it reserved in any sandboxes. And so, I'd like to propose this character who I feel embodies this trope the best...

  • Chaos, God of Allergic to Routine
  • Reasoning: Like most other personifications of chaos, Chaos favors unpredictability and dislikes stagnation. Though Chaos takes this a step further as "Allergic to Routine" is pretty much his morality; anything he deems mundane and predictable are bad and need to be changed. The only reason he went after Aladdin is because he felt Aladdin's constant victories were "boring" and wanted to give him a serious challenge. And then Chaos' episode ends with the revelation that his whole scheme was actually to make Mirage, an Evil Sorceress who wanted to destroy Agrabah, help to save the kingdom from destruction, as Chaos wanted the villain to save the day for once. Ultimately, Chaos doesn't care about Good vs. Evil, just what's "interesting" and what's "boring", and anything that becomes too routine must be dealt with.

(Any alternative ideas for the title are welcome)

@KaoticKanine - [tup] for Chaos

  • Reason: I can see a lot of interactions with this guy, as a cat, god of chaos, a deity from the Disney world and easily bored person. I'm open to disagreement but that's just my opinion.

@Cutegirl920fire - You're welcome.
@Necromancer10 - The Breakfast Club
  • Sons and their Education Mamas
    • Son Gohan - His mother Chi-Chi thinks that eduction is more important than saving the world , Thankfully this sentiment has lessen by the end of the series as Gohan gets his diploma while still liking martial arts.
    • I know Malcolm was already mentioned but his mom Lois (found in the same hall as he is) is a bit overbearing to him as she worries about him being a lazy genius, so she enrolls him in extracurricular activities he's not interested in.
  • Delinquents with Abusive Parents - Johnny and Steve of The Curtis Gang, who are a group of greaser youths, have abusive parents.

  • Burgermeister Meisterburger was the cruel, authoritarian mayor of Sombertown, a northern town filled to the brim with misery and sadness, something that he took great pride in. A firm hater of toys, an incident consisting of him slipping and injuring himself on one lead him to ban any and all toys from Sombertown, threatening to throw any child he found playing with one into the dungeon. However, he found his authority challenged by Kris Kringle, a visiting young man who found the law silly and dedicated himself to seeing the miserable children happy. The Burgermeister tried numerous times to shut down his operation, only to find himself constantly outsmarted by Kringle, cumulating in him arresting his family and friends and ambushing him using them as leverage. After Kris and friends escaped prison using flying reindeer, the young man took refuge in the north pole, soon becoming Santa Claus and starting to spread cheer to millions of children everywhere. As for Meisterburger? Well, the miserable old man died off, presumably of old age, and the citizens of Somberland realized how silly his law was and promptly forgot about him.
  • That wasn't the end of his story, however. The Burgermeister soon found himself in an unfamiliar place, faced by an old yet sinister-looking old man. This being was Winterbolt, the former ruler of the North Pole. He explained to the Burgermeister that he was an enemy of Kris Kringle, now known as Santa Claus, having originally ruled over the North Pole and was seeking a way to take it back from Claus. Seeing as Meisterburger was the first real threat Santa faced, as well as proving himself a threat despite his bumbling, he saw it fit to ascend him so as to combat the jolly old elf. The Burgermeister, eager for revenge on him, happily agreed to an alliance, and in exchange, Winterbolt arranged for his temple to be a recreation of Sombertown, complete with his old guards, for the purposes of throwing anyone he doesn't like into the dungeons.
  • The Burgermeister made himself known to Santa one Christmas night, having his guards ambush him at a building where he was going to deliver toys. Thankfully, the guards were rather bumbling and Santa's, well, Santa, so he was able to evade and thwart the guards while making his delivery at the same time. Still, he recognized the guards and was surprised at the prospect that his old nemesis could have found the Pantheon. Taking a quick break from his duties to find and confront Meisterburger, the old man, once located, bragged about how his nemesis Winterbolt got him up and was ready to turn Santa's life into a living hell as revenge. Santa simply sighed and went on his way as Meisterburger swore vengeance, the former mayor content with waiting for another opportunity for revenge.
    • As a result of his animosity with Saint Nick, he ended up on the bad side of his allies as well. Out of all of them, he hates Mrs. Claus the most, as she used to be a schoolteacher named Jessica who fell in love with Kris and helped with his toy-giving operation, and at multiple points was pivotal to thwarting Meisterburger's plans. Ebeneezer Scrooge was once a despicable old man who, thanks to the Ghosts of Christmas, managed to turn a new leaf and appreciate Christmas, so naturally he opposes The Burgermeister as well, reluctantly admitting that he'd probably consider him a kindred spirit if he was back in his crueller, greedy days. Most surprising of all however was the discovery that there was another Santa in the form of Nicholas Saint North, a much more combat-capable Santa that leads a superhero team of other holiday icons. Now, Meisterburger isn't the smartest man around, but even he knows messing with Him's a recipe for disaster, so for now he stays out of his way while focusing on the original Clause.
  • His initial quest for allies had a simple start: find any god that also tried to ruin the holidays so that he can even the playing field with Santa. To this end, he came across two potential individuals, those being Jack Skellington and The Grinch. For Jack's part, he ended up taking over Santa's role and nearly wrecked the holiday with dangerously spooky toys. As for The Grinch, he ended up stealing everything Christmas related from Whoville with nobody the wiser. Now he was aware the two were redeemed, and from five seconds of research he can tell that Jack was not changing his tune anytime soon, but he heard that the Grinch occasionally relapses back into a mean jerk, so he figured he'd make a wonderful ally. Alas, it was not the case, for when he found The Grinch and presented his case to him, the Grinch declined, stating that while he lets loose every now and again, Christmas time is now the one time he refuses to do anything naughty at, basically telling the mayor to bug off, to Meisterburger's frustration. Later, Jack found out about the Burgermeister when the Grinch told him about the incident, appalling Jack for how much of an ass he was and promising to help Santa if the Burgermeister was to do anything funny.
  • Burgermeister distrusts penguins, much to the surprise of most in the Pantheon. The reason for it is rather simple; Kris Kringle was accompanied by a wayward penguin named Topper during his younger days and any penguin could be a potential ally with him. As a result, Burgermeister declared the Pantheon's penguins personal enemies and gave direct orders to have them hunted down and arrested. Thankfully, penguins are just as slippery as seals, and the ascended birds are more trouble than even Burgermeister expected. Mumble and Hubie are quick to evade capture, while Sgt. Byrd, the flying Rocko and the Penguins of Madagascar were able to fight back.
  • One of Santa's first friends was the infamous (former) Winter Warlock, note  whose ice magic originally kept Sombertown a miserable place in the first place. Burgermeister spared no love for the ice elementals found within the Pantheon, chief among them, Elsa of Arendelle, who once froze over her own kingdom with her ice magic. That being said, Elsa had no control over her magic at that time and she's since made amends with her past. But Burgermeister merely sees Elsa and by extension, her sister Queen Anna and her snowman creation Olaf, as co-conspirators with that "terrible toymaker" and even made an alliance with Prince Hans to dispose of them. Hans though considers the alliance to be one-sided. He has no time for Burgermister's toy crusade and only teamed up with him to get some soldiers to take over Arendelle.
    • On the flip side, Burgermeister fears the Night's King with all his heart. The ruler of the White Walkers has no time for the petty mayor's one-man war on toys and fun. He just wants to consume the world in ice and snow, perhaps even turning Sombertown's inhabitants into Wights to fuel his army. It marked one of the only times Burgermeister put aside his animosity with Santa and worked together to drive off the undead force. After that, it was back to destroying toys as usual.
  • As one can probably guess at this point, Burgermeister absolutely despises toys, and anything even slightly related to them, with his whole animosity with Santa being fueled by the fact that he gives out toys for free and was bringing joy to Sombertown. So naturally, when he figured out that there's a select few toys in the Pantheon that were also alive, he just about blew his top and immediately ordered his guards to destroy the holders of said title, which happened to be Andy's Toys. Fortunately, Saint Nick foresaw that he'd go after the toys and warned them of Meisterburger in advance, resulting in the toys setting up an ambush for his guards. The toy's unexpected cunning, in addition to the guards not exactly being very competent in the first place, ended with Burgermeister's men retreating, and the cruel man swearing vengeance on the toys. On the flip side, he's genuinely wary of the bloodthirsty dolls known as Chucky and Slappy, and has made precautions to avoid them at all costs out of fear that they'd come after him next. So far, the two haven't shown much interest in him, but either way for once nobody's gonna fault him for being terrified of them.
  • If there's anything Burgermeister hates as much as toys, it's children in general. His idea of a good time is going around and making every kid he comes across as miserable as possible, and seeing kids having fun is an easy way to piss him off. Naturally, he was delighted to find out about Father, a supervillain that practically makes a whole career out of hating children and wanting to see them suffer. While Father was initially uninterested in the old mayor, he was eventually won over by just how damn proud he was of hating children, resulting in the most legitimate friendship Meisterburger has ever gained. He's also impressed about how he "delightfulized" the Delightful Children from Down the Lane, and has since occasionally recruited them to perform his dirty business of throwing people in the dungeon. Of course, this resulted in him getting the attention of the KND, specifically the ascended Sector V, who consider him just as bad as the other fun-hating adults back home, often finding themselves opposing the Burgermeister and whatever schemes he has cooking. And of course, even he's scared of Grandfather, being fully aware of his power and how he'd probably enslave anyone at the drop of a hat.
  • The Bugermeister was (rather ironically) delighted to see that he was not the only deity that wanted to spread misery for their amusement: for instance, the Head Pixie, leader of the Pixies, constantly plots to take over Fairy World so he can make it as dull as possible, so Burgermeister lent him some guards for some extra muscle in case they needed it. Professor Poopypants despises any and all laughter and wishes to remove it from the Pantheon, which lead to Burgermeister funding some of his schemes and inventions, helped by the fact he's one of the few people that don't burst out laughing at Poopypants terrible name due to a lack of humor. Most surprising of all however was that Junko Enoshima of all people has offered her services to Burgermeister, somewhat because she's legitimately impressed at how ruthless Burgermeister can be when it comes to misery, but mostly because any despair is good for her. While Meisterburger is just as surprised as anyone else, he sure as hell ain't gonna waste an opportunity like this, and so occasionally hires her to cause as much misery as she can, as well as on the rare occasion he needs someone to be "offed".
  • As much as Burgermeister despised toys and fun, he does have one weakness... yo-yo's. He doesn't like to be reminded of how Santa outwitted him with one. That being said, one might catch a glimpse of the old miser playing with a large green and yellow yo-yo from time to time, having the time of his life.
