Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Irena Dubrovna, Goddess of Sexualized Cat People

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/irenacatpeople.jpg
  • Lesser Goddess
  • Symbol: The statue of Jovan Nenad/"King John of Serbia" stabbing a cat
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Member of the cat people, nobody believes her, abhors her nature to the point that she kills herself, Animals Hate Her, Cat Scare
  • Domains: Felines, Werebeasts, Sex, Otherness
  • Allies: Larry Talbot/Wolf Man, Cassandra
  • Enemies:
  • Irena Dubrovna is a Serbian woman who was born in a village with a superstition that their women would turn into ferocious felines if they felt any heightened emotion. Irena believed this, which strained her relationship with her American husband Oliver Reed, who did not understand her refusal to be intimate with him and thought of the superstition as pure hogwash. He would eventually learn that it was all too true after starting an affair with his coworker Alice, which caused jealousy and fury in Irena, leading to her transforming into a black panther and threatening both of them. Irena did not mean to be evil however, but as she could not control her transformation, she ultimately decided to end her life for everybody's sake.
  • Sightings of a black panther prowling around the Pantheon's inhabited areas were being reported (and it was confirmed not to be a familiar, friendly panther like Bagheera). Authorities called for the panther to be returned to her proper place, and so hunters were sent out to capture her. They succeeded in shooting her with a tranquilizer, and everybody was surprised when the panther, upon collapsing, turned into a beautiful woman. She was brought to the House of Health and Diseases, where she was identified as Irena Dubrovna and as she was dead in her world she couldn't go back there, at least. Irena was not especially bothered by this, as she thinks she ought to stay away from people on account of her "condition", and thinks of the Pantheon as some sort of afterlife. Either way, the Main House determined her tale was significant enough and had her ascended.
  • Among the deities interested in her ascension, Larry Talbot, aka the Wolf Man, stands out in particular. Larry is cursed into turning into a werewolf much like how Irena has to deal with her cat people curse, and both are horrified by how their transformations turn them into vicious beasts. They have promised each other that if one of them ever goes on a rampage, the other will do everything in their power to kill the other before innocent lives are claimed. It sounds pretty sinister for an alliance, but then Death Is Cheap is at play, which softens the blow.
  • All things considered, she seems pretty okay with living at the House of Beast surrounded by various types of animals. She often says that the roars of large felines are soothing to her, like the sound of pattering rain is to some. Incidentally, most animals back in her world were hostile to her due to sensing her nature, but the animals in the Pantheon tend to have sapience, which leads to them understanding Irena's plight, which leads to them being more tolerant of her.
  • Was surprised to be extended the friendship of Cassandra, the oracle of Greek myth. Probably because they both had a terrible time with trying to get people to believe their warnings, only to be dismissed. Fortunately, every deity who knows about her also knows about her cat people curse, so Irena doesn't really have problems with getting people to believe her anymore. Some deities even think her condition ought to be celebrated instead of feared, something she would have never thought possible (and she isn't sure whether she agrees).

@ wootzits: She could interact with Stella Hoshii. Stella was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness before birth and underwent a procedure to become a Cat Boomer to save her life. She doesn't really mind it, though. At worst, she just clears up the fact that it came from medical reasons and not a dumb trend involving parents wanting their kids to have cat features like others before her. Even there she's just happy to clear up any misconceptions.

She would definitely if at all possible avoid any contact with Hircine, the progenitor and patron of all werebeasts in his universe and deity of hunting. He also views such things as a gift and all werebeasts are forced to come into his realm, the Hunting Grounds, in the afterlife to forever hunt and be hunted.

Vincent Godfrey has an unreasonable hatred against all werewolves though I wouldn’t be surprised if he adjusted his defined contempt to werecreatures in general after coming into the Pantheon.

  • Wan Shi Tong, which means "he who knows ten thousand things," is an ancient spirit that owns a vast library that contains countless wisdoms and knowledges. He openly shared this knowledge to humans until he grew to despise humans who want his knowledge for war. As a result, he took his library back into the Spirit World so that nobody will be able to enter his library again.
  • Somehow, his great library materializes in the Pantheon with the keeper himself at its roof. At first, Wan Shi Tong refuse to share his library to the humans of the Pantheon as he grew to despise human's exploiting his knowledge for their wars. However, the Court made him reopen his library to the public as some of these folks would never dare to abuse his trust and not use its knowledge to hurt others (and has an entrance fee of a donation of knowledge which is also double than the last time Aang was there so it's likely out of spite).
  • There are some people that he completely forbid from entering his library: Aang, his friends, and Zhao. Understandable, since Zhao both learned about the Moon Spirit from his knowledge and plotted to kill it (and much of his writings then burned) and Aang betraying his trust by trying to use an eclipse learned from his library to incapacitate the firebenders. Though he considered prohibiting anyone related to the Avatar from entering, out of spite.
    • He would show giving stink eyes to anyone who just friends with the Avatar. When Tenzin's daughter, Jinora, entered his library and allow her to search the library despite his new policy of not allowing humans in, he eventually turn her to Unalaq, believing him to be a true friend of the spirits, unlike the Avatar. When asked if he knew anything about Vaatu and Unalaq's intent, he practically didn't care so long as human doesn't come to his library.
    • Very protective of his knowledge, he refuses to allow desecrators from reaching his library. Learning that there is a world where books were burned because they were illegal, this made him very angry. He practically banned everyone with risk of destroying books.
  • He has many spirit fox assistants as his hands, collecting many knowledge from the material world to be added into his collections. That said, they are not the most reliable servants, as much as he doesn't want to admit it. He also find Adam Conover to be very obnoxious since he also correct him on knowledge that isn't accurate.
    • Chance of recruiting foxes in the Pantheon? Nil. None of them suits his need for collecting knowledge.
  • Consider him the obnoxious know-it-all in regards to his fellow owls with an affiliation with knowledge. Just don't say it to his face.
  • His library has many regular visitors, each with his own differing opinion and their opinion of him.
    • Cyrus Albright, a curious scholar by trade, believes Information Wants to Be Free and is very disagreeable with Wan Shi Tong. While he agrees that exploiting his knowledge is awful, he also believe that hoarding it all knowledge is not a solution.
    • Twilight Sparkle enjoys what Wan Shi Tong's library has to offer, often staying overnight much to his surprise. He is surprisingly sympathetic to her when her original home, the Golden Oak Library in Ponyville, was destroyed during her battle with Lord Tirek.
    • Though Belle finds his library fascinating and very expansive compared to Beast's own library, she finds Wan Shi Tong's misanthropy to be very grating.
  • Due to how ancient his library is, it is not very accessible for those that have... difficulty reading books. Blindness is certainly a problem, something that Toph could attest too. (add more here)

[up] Since you mentioned his library is liable to being outdated you can mention that as a point against him when it comparing him to Hermaeus Mora. Even if you argue that Mora's world is in a Medieval Stasis while Wan Shi Tong's isn't, Mora is always seeking out new knowledge to add to Apocrypha, no matter how valuable or worthless it actually is.

Me, Crownless, and Bazzard decided that the Trope Pantheons page is really outdated, and needs a rework, and the three of us want to rebuild it to focus more on general lore and info, scrubbing away the story arc lore and ZCE's. I'll be making a sandbox for the rework soon, and I don't really mind if one of you guys want to put in your own entries.

@Wootzits: I don't know if this would be of much help but I can imagine Sylvester the cat having several encounters with Irena in her panther form, similar to an incident where a panther escaped the zoo and began fighting a bulldog that was after him.

Small update on Astalos.

I'd like to mention that while I'm more willing to add High Priests and Followers and whatever than most do note that I can't really write stuff about that in the profile. And actual interactions make up the bulk of all profiles nowadays. Thus, suggestions for interactions are more useful to me.

So I ask again: Suggestions?

  • High Priest: Toxicitry
  • Herald:
  • Watch the skies, traveler, for there’s many a Flying Wyvern in the wild these days. If ever you hear the crackle of thunder, your hairs stand on end from the air’s electricity, and are face-to-face with a wyvern whose appearance harkens to that of an insect then chances are you are dealing with an Astalos. Erratic and violent, both are indeed apt words to describe the Electric Wyvern. The only thing nastier than its default temperament is the zap of its shocks, particularly from its pincer tail. All in all, not a beast one should just decide to fight out of the blue.
  • Once the Herald of Glavenus owing to his status as a member of the Fated Four. However, he proved to be the least controllable out of its fellow monsters and often ventured beyond the temple grounds to pick a fight leading to the Monster Hunters being called into deal with it. These trips were usually quite quick and not far from home but at point it disappeared for a few days. Astalos eventually resurfaced when a string of attacks across the House of Wings and Feathers were traced back to it and was found by the authorities to be fighting Salamence. Their fight was also soon interrupted, forcing the Astalos to retreat into the House of Electricity.
  • Its thought process is easy to understand, really: If an Astalos sees something, that something must die. No ifs, ands, or buts about it, it must die. They are just that violent of a beast, and it goes way back. As a young wyvern, they are not above eating one of their own if given the chance. And as a parent it can sometimes be found devouring one of its own children by mistaking them for Neopterons.
  • An Astalos’ entire body serves as an organ that generates electricity and it is fully capable of charging up parts of its body to enhance its attacks. In addition, its own pincer tail is also capable of paralyzing prey and other manner of foes. Astalos also has a some mean hooks, too. It’s a Glass Cannon to be sure, especially if charged up, but its durability hardly becomes an issue if it forces its opponents into the defensive with such a twitchy and aggressive fighting style combined with flight abilities on par with a Rathalos. It gets into some scrapes with the it and the Rathian as you can imagine. And on the topic of scrapes its power over the Thunder element has also led to some heated rivalries with other monsters with similar abilities like Zinogre, Rajang, and Lagiacrus. It also tends to butt heads with fellow Fated Four member Glavenus, usually over being the mascot monster.
    • Its more aggressive Boltreaver Deviant takes the abilities of a normal Astalos and cranks it to eleven. Its electrical organs are far stronger than those of a normal species demonstrated not only from its entire body being charged up by default but also taking it a step further and enter an “ultracharged” state, turning its body a cyan blue like the high voltages it dishes out. The Boltreaver also has a few new tricks too, namely the electromagnetic spheres it can use to pull in prey like some sort of pseudo-black hole.

All my fault, you say...? What fault? I daresay it's all thanks to me.

Okay, so a little bit ago Vengeful Bale suggested Adora and Catra for Adaptational Sexuality, which I had reserved for Clarke Griffin. While a bit hesitant, I am now open to giving the trope to the couple. But, I wanted to check if it is alright if Clarke gets Badass Gay instead.

Reason: Okay, technically Clarke Griffin is bisexual but that still doesn't take away her effectiveness as a fighter and leader. They don't call her Wanheda, the Commander of Death, for nothing.

[down] Go right ahead.

[up] Huh, I thought that Oren Pierre Alfonzo had that trope, but he has Manly Gay. Since he already is in Romantic Orientation, can I remove him from Combat Other as that trope doesn't fit that House?

EDIT: Done.

Peeves, God of Poltergeists (Peevsie, Peevesy)

  • Opposed by: Most stern teachers like Seymour Skinner
  • Annoyed by: The Ghostbusters, Jack Fenton
  • Avoided by: Carol Anne Freeling
  • Peeves the Poltergeist is an apparition that is bound and emerged at the beginning of Hogwarts, born from collective adolescent stress and student mischief. Classified as a poltergeist, he's the trickster of the school and likes to cause pranks and general mischief. Argus Filch despises him and has tried to get Peeves from the school, but it never works.
  • Didn't show up in the movies, and was mad about being left out. Thus Peeves demanded he be given some attention in the massive fan crossover that is the Trope Pantheon, where he tends to cause mischief in the House of School. He picked a video game adaptation for his avatar because he looks far more dashing in that form.
  • Important to remember; he's a poltergeist, not a ghost. Ghosts were humans once, while he is amortal; never a living being, and will never die(though if Hogwarts is destroyed it might destroy him). He's just considered one for convenience. He's annoyed that Jack Fenton and the Ghostbusters go after him, though Peeves has been informed that outside of the world of Harry Potter, ghosts have a lot of parameters so he stays in the house.
  • Peeves' ascension was met with dread by Carol Anne Freeling because she was a victim of a poltergeist haunting and kidnapping her. However Peeves isn't malicious, merely a prankster and doesn't wish to harm her. She still would rather stay away from him anyway.
  • While Mr Crocker is obsessed with FAIRIES!, he flat out hates Peeves the Poltergeist. So does the Trunchbull. Though to be fair to Peeves, they often bring it on themselves. Professional teachers are merely annoyed and frustrated by Peeves. Seymour Skinner refuses to let himself be in a point of weakness to Peeves, which entertains him as a possible challenge. Interestingly Peeves is on good terms Dumbledore despite the mischief he causes.
  • Sure Peeves isn't a real ghost, at least by the standards of his universe, but that doesn't stop him hanging out with Gengar, Rotom and the Flying Dutchman. This comes down to their mischievous nature. Because Hogwarts isn't too technologically advanced Rotom serves as a learning experience in how to mess around with technology. Also while he's not into the scaring field, he likes what the Dutchman can pull and how fear can be used to troll people.
  • A pain in the ass to the GUAL. As a chaotic prankster spirit, Peeves considers them an anathema and YHVH the biggest killjoy in the multiverse. Most agree with him on the "YHVH is a killjoy" assessment. When not causing mischief in the House of School, he causes mischief in the GUAL to their eternal frustration; Death Is Cheap or no, you can't kill something that was never alive.
  • The GUAC has welcomed Peeves into their ranks. Peeves isn't interested in their loftier ambitions, but does appreciate the chaos they represent and the venue of mischief. Mainly it's his continual annoyance and heckling of the GUAL that has him serve as their ally.
  • A chaotic spirit, Peeves has a kinship with Discord due to being a more powerful spirit of chaos. And then there's Mr Mxyzptlk, who Peeves is in awe for his chaotic games with the Man of Steel. He requested to be given a small percentage of Mxy's unbridled power to pull off pranks on a universal scale, however Mxy turned it down as he refuses even a tiny chance of repeating what happened last time
  • Sissel, Missile and (formerly) Yomiel may be called ghosts, but their "ghost tricks" fit the poltergeist label quite well. Instead of mischief, Sissel and Missile mainly use their powers to manipulate the environment in a way to save people's lives and avert death. Yomiel, however, used his to ruin people's lives and even commit murder as apart of a complex revenge scheme but eventually moved past this and uses his powers for good by the end of it. As such, Peeves brings little to the table, which he finds unfortunate because he hoped they could find common enough ground personality-wise to become his new friends.
  • Peeves was rather impressed by the trickery Bugs Bunny was able to pull off, and has joined him to have some fun. Cue a lot of pity going towards Elmer Fudd for this, and Yosemite Sam yelling that his bullets do diddly squat to Peeves. He likes T.J as well, what with being the prince of pranks. Still, despite being a prankster and jerk, Peeves stands for Hogwarts and fought alongside them against Voldemort and the Death Eaters. He also finds Yuuki Terumi and his trolling to be incredibly despicable and going way too far.

  • Fears: The Weeping Angels, SCP-173, SCP-096, Apophis, Johnny Blaze, Ghatanathoa, Chanticleer
  • Feared by: Kaa
  • The basilisk. A serpentine beast first created by Herpo the Foul, born when a toad hatches a chicken egg. This monster was left by Salazar Slytherin in order to get rid of muggleborns he felt were a threat. The creature waited for Slytherin's heir, which came in the form of his descendant Tom Marvolo Riddle aka Lord Voldemort. His first horcrux contained a living memory of his teenage self, who would try to use the Serpent of Slytherin to do his bidding and eliminate half-bloods and muggle-born students.
  • The Serpent of Slytherin tends to keep to herself, serving as the servant of Lord Voldemort. He was overjoyed to meet the basilisk in his modern form, but most frustrated learning her venom was used to destroy horcruxes. Ironically, Herpo the Foul was also the creator of the first horcrux. One of the other reasons the Serpent of Slytherin keeps to herself is not a single sentence she speaks doesn't involve murder, blood or killing. She's been crawling across the House of Magic to purge her master's enemies.
  • Her plan to exterminate those her master finds inferiors led to her paralyzing and killing Shinji Matou, which got the attention of Medusa. She doesn't miss him at all, but is wary of such a monster being loose. Her own petrifying sight would likely work on the Serpent of Slytherin, and vice versa. And it's not something the beast wants.
  • Frustrated at the fact that post-mortem her venom was used against her master. She has decided to go after anyone who would dare try to harvest her venom for their own ends, leading to her to hunt down Akame and Oberyn Martell. Ironically she's not fond of the House of Toxicity, although she is a point of interest for the gods there anyway. Caesar Clown would love to use her as the basis for a Devil Fruit as part of his own plans. He thinks he may have immunity to her paralyzing look in his ghost form, but as even ghosts are somewhat affected he's over-reaching himself.
  • Has a couple friends in the pantheon, for what's it worth. Mainly Lesale Deathbringer and the Learnean Hydra. They're extremely toxic serpentine beings, and the closest creatures that Slytherin's Monster can understand. Interestingly for as much of a ferocious beast that she is, she is terrified of Apophis for being far more destructive and far worse a serpent than her. As the basilisk is The Dreaded, this speaks miles about the Hated One.
  • Doesn't care for Finn the Human, for being a heroic swordsman. Or Jack for much of the same reason. She's worried their blades will take her out, as she left the mortal realm through the sword of Godric Gryffindor. The Serpent of Slytherin wants to avoid deities who specialize in Eye Scream as well, since that played a critical role in her defeat. Despises phoenixes too, as Fawkes the phoenix was the one who blinded her.
  • Babidi was interested in Slytherin's Monster. He doesn't need to make eye contact to brainwash people and she is plenty evil, so he hopes to have a powerful servant. However he also considers her master a more useful ally than rival, at least for now. Kaa wishes that he could hypnotize her, but given her Deadly Gaze this would be suicide and her fears the basilisk.
  • The deadly gaze of the basilisk doesn't work on SCP-173 or the Weeping Angels, what with them already being made of stone/stone-like material. And her venom has no effect either. She's basically screwed the moment she looks away from them, leading to her being terrified of them. SCP-096 and SCP-682 are affected, however the latter can adapt and the former is so determined being petrified won't stop it. She knows to try and stay away from the latter, but the former won't stop hunting her down and that terrifies her. Her own glare is impotent against the blind as well, so Toph can fight her off.
  • Got a serious taste of her own medicine when accidentally glancing at Ghatanathoa's horrific visage, mummifying her while still alive. Voldemort went out for unicorn blood to heal his monster. Slytherin's Monster has grown a fear of both the Great Old One, and Johnny Blaze. The latter is highly unlikely to be affected by her gaze, and his Death Glare would be devastating on her. Hilariously Harry Potter basilisks have a fear of rooster crowing as it is fatal for their kind, making Chanticleer one of her dire enemies.
