Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Finally, I can get this out of the way.

Reposting Cyrax and Sektor, now heavily updated and with approvals ready to be registered. Any more that can be added to them, or are they good to go?

  • The Lin Kuei was a ferocious, powerful clan organization of trained assassins and warriors bred for the specific purpose of honing their kombat skills and maintaining a reputation by competing in the Mortal Kombat tournaments of Outworld hosted by Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn. Cyrax, an adoptee from Botswana, and Sektor, the son of the organization's grandmaster, were two of their most well-regarded members who took pride out in their occupation until the clan unveiled a project called the Cyber Initiative which was to induct every Lin Kuei member into its ranks by selling out their soul and transforming themselves into cyborgs in an effort to reach the full potential of their kombat prowess. This revelation caused Cyrax to doubt his allegiance and promptly rejected the offer of cyberizing himself, whereas Sektor was all too willing to enlist himself. Unfortunately for Cyrax, he would be captured and forcibly converted with his memory, consciousness, and soul dampened and becoming forcibly subservient to his program's whims; the end result was two cybernetic ninjas who were tasked to find defective Lin Kuei members who rejected the Cyber Initiative and either kill them or bring back for cyberization, among them being Kuai Liang, the second Sub-Zero, and Tomas Vrabada, who went by the moniker of Smoke.
    • While Cyrax and Sektor joined the Mortal Kombat tournament out of what their programming ordered them to do, things went on a different route from there on out. With the help of Sub-Zero, Cyrax's programming would be severed, restoring his consciousness and choosing to fight alongside his former comrades and the forces of good out of gratitude, whereas Sektor, becoming more grandiose and prideful decided to flee to Japan to start his own clan of cyberwarriors known as the Tekunin. And this was in an unaltered timeline; the altered version instead had Sektor seize leadership of the cyberized Lin Kuei by killing his father, only to be killed by Sub-Zero and a defected Cyrax. However, Cyrax, being unwilling to carry on the rest of his life as a cyborg, chose to detonate himself alongside the remaining Lin-Kuei cyberwarriors so that Sub-Zero can continue on fighting for Earthrealm and rebuild the Lin Kuei as its new Grandmaster to restore its honor and fight for good.
  • Cyrax and Sektor were two individuals who, despite their differing beliefs and allegiances, were somehow bound to be connected to one another. That said, they initially ascended into the Pantheon separately with Cyrax representing Unwilling Roboticization and Sektor symbolizing the general Lack of Empathy, which went hand-in-hand with their thoughts and perception in their characterization. However, after the events Kronika perpetrated with Cyrax and Sektor coming back, only to be offed again (and with yet another redemption from Cyrax), the two were eventually reassessed and they were later branded to together be representing the conversion from human to cyborg with almost everything organic being replaced by machinery, CPU programs, and metal. This was unsettling news for Cyrax as he didn't want to be grouped with Sektor again, who was also just as annoyed and used this news as further incentive to be opposing his former fellow Lin Kuei member. One thing that has been for certain was that the Pantheon was to be a new experience for them, as well as a new battleground for their eventual kombat against one another.
  • Aside from the obvious difference that one is yellow and slender in his physique, the other red and stocky, there's more to Cyrax and Sektor's individuality and identity; Cyrax specializes in using buzzsaws, magically-generated net-traps, and bombs, whereas Sektor mainly utilizes jetpacks, flamethrowers, rockets, and a teleportation device. It's further contrasted by how Cyrax is more akin to a ninja and would use a form of teleportation to get by in long distances as well as having some degree of control in magic, whereas to Sektor, almost everything he is capable of is done by his cybernetic modifications and the technology he uses in combat. And to say nothing of their moral allegiance and their thoughts and feelings of being cyberized, which more than cement Cyrax and Sektor as each other's worst enemies in case the former isn't brainwashed, something that he isn't going to be allowing to happen anytime soon. Sektor personally has no qualms in either killing or capturing and brainwashing Cyrax again.
  • Due to the advanced nature of their mechanized state and the military potential that they possess, Cyrax and Sektor have been viewed with a lot of interest by the Grand United Alliance of Machines, who have been intending to learn more about the two, alongside Triborg and Frost and find a way to replicate the technology and create their own armada of cyberized ninjas using the four of them as a major template. Sektor was keen on the idea of providing support and research and while much of his allegiance is either towards Shao Kahn on a loose note, or to himself, he is willing to aid the GUAM in offering them the opportunity to bolster their own forces with a new collection of cyber ninjas that they intend to use in the Pantheonic Forever War. Predictably, Cyrax, alongside Sub-Zero were disgusted to learn of this notion and have committed themselves to put a stop to the GUAM's machinations and Sektor's allegiance with them. On a more positive note, these circumstances did lead Cyrax to affiliate himself with the Grand United Alliance of Good via the White Hats Division, who have since made it a goal to also keep up with Cyrax's original goal of finding a way back to becoming a full human again.
  • SKYNET has taken a strong interest in the two of them, much like the GUAM, though, unlike its own allegiances, SKYNET has every intent on simply wanting Cyrax and Sektor as an experimental basis on creating new Terminator models that could emulate its template perfectly and use them on a mass killing spree against humanity and every single organic life it comes across, determined to satiate its own ego and affirm machine dominance. Sektor initially considered an alliance, but quickly caught on with the fact that while SKYNET will work with fellow machines to further its own goals, it's not above being treacherous and backstabbing their own allies if it ever feels either threatened by a bit or feels as if their convenience has been fulfilled, and wisely ended up backing out from making a deal. On the other hand, Cyrax declared SKYNET an abomination that needs to be stopped, though he is horrified by the very idea of SKYNET wanting to instill him in torturous experimentations just to create a cyborg model based on him and go relish on the sight of Cyrax suffering. Though considering SKYNET's universal hatred of any organic lifeform, Cyrax has had more support and aid in fighting against the AI than he expected, much to his surprise and relief.
  • Regarding cyborgs, Victor Stone was of common interest to the two of them, though for very differing reasons, given their own alignment. Cyrax came to see him as a relatable figure due to the tragic circumstances of their cyberization and their angst and struggles towards their newfound physiology, though Victor has since overcome his while Cyrax is still dealing with his issues about it. While the idea to restore Cyrax to his human form has been a goal Victor has kept as a sign of goodwill, Victor also encouraged him to use his cybernetic powers for good and to at least try helping others. Cyrax has since been trying that, and he noted that Sub-Zero endorsing this has been quite beneficial in the long run, thanking Cyborg for being a good friend. Sektor, conversely, sees Victor as a potential subject to analyze and inspect upon, hoping to see the physiology of his cybernetic body and try to implement parts of it onto his own. The fact that Cyrax and Victor are friends has also been a point of contention for Sektor, serving as a greater motivation for battling against Cyborg and wanting to use his cybernetics to improve himself.
  • Emphasis on Cyrax
    • Ever since he regained his consciousness, Cyrax has been a staunch defender of Earthrealm and manages to get along with most of them, though Johnny Cage remains an annoyance to him due to his nature as an arrogant and pompous Hollywood star, though these days, Johnny has become rather mellow and easygoing, something which has surprised Cyrax to a degree. That said, there is the past version of Johnny to consider as well, given that he's still an annoyance. While his road to maturity may be slow, Cyrax is still open to the possibility of working together, so long as Johnny remains respectful of whatever situation they're in. And with all said and done, Cyrax would like to ask Johnny to hand back his $8 bucks which he regrettably spent on watching Ninja Mime, though at the moment, nothing has really come out from that. And beyond that, he's more than happy to be working alongside the Lin Kuei again, with Sub-Zero even offering him a role as a right-hand to make up for his personal troubles and angst.
    • To his dismay, Cyrax found himself in the Pantheon still being stuck in his cyberized form, a fact that he still angsts over to this day, feeling that with his body and soul perverted solely just to uphold a corrupted ideal, he feels that he should die off. However, with Sektor's looming threat as well as the presence of two more cybernetic ninjas, Frost and Triborg, he's forced himself to stand up for what he stands up for and is willing to ally with Kuai-Liang again to take on their former comrades who have since become permanently corrupted by the desire to be cyberized and to take control of the Lin Kuei.
    • During his time in the Pantheon, Cyrax came to learn about a lot of robotized individuals who, despite their predicament, were able to hold on to their humanity and individuality and work to do good as well as aiding their friends and combat. This left him intrigued and, with some guidance from Sub-Zero, decided to approach them with the offer of consolidating an alliance. This led him to many figures, including Alex Murphy, better known as RoboCop who was initially programmed to be an enforcer for OmniCorp and the Detroit Police Department until he was able to regain his memories and fight back against those who mortally wounded and used him. Cyrax came to respect Alex's dedication to the Law as well as his tenacity and efficiency, even offering to be a part-time buddy at times as a way to use his powers for good. Alex was welcome for the invitation.
    • During his time in the Pantheon, Cyrax came across a few individuals who went through a similar situation as he did, namely those in the form of being in a body that they weren't comfortable with, or with being brainwashed and forcibly controlled to do malicious acts. Among the few that Cyrax met was the alchemist Alphonse Elric and a Masked Man who was later known to be the PK user, Claus. Cyrax didn't exactly pity their situation too much as he knew how it must have felt when Al's soul was transferred into a suit of armor due to a botched human transmutation that cost him his body, and when Claus was captured and then brainwashed by the Pig Mask army to serve under their whims. He does, however, commend their familial relationships, wishing that he had the same sentiments for Sektor, though Al told him that Sub-Zero and Smoke were filling that gap, a point that Cyrax conceded. As for Claus, he wishes him good luck trying to reconnect with his brother, Lucas, and is willing to fight alongside him in case Claus ever needs assistance. The fact that both committed suicide to benefit others also helped the two to further bond with one another, though Cyrax did wince at the fact that a child committed suicide, something that he doesn't like to remind himself of, for very obvious reasons.
    • Cyrax suddenly found a few fans in the form of Yayoi Kise, Irina Shidou, and Nyaruko, and he initially struggled to figure out just why he was being fanboyed on, considering he hasn't had any experience in having a celebrity-esque reputation. Eventually, found out about a trending genre known as Tokusatsu and found out that in his cybernetic form, he looked a lot like a Toku warrior, and that his fangirls ended up thinking he was one. It's not the weirdest thing that's happened to him, but Cyrax doesn't really mind. That said, he had enough of an intrigue in the Toku genre to be led to a trio of cyborgs, Takeshi Hongo, Hayato Ichimonji, and Kohtaro Minami, who were initially created for evil, but instead rebelled and became Kamen Riders, dedicating themselves to fighting against the evil forces of SHOCKER. Cyrax was more surprised to see how they've clung on to their humanity and never really determined themselves by their physiology, even admitting that he felt a bit inspired by the three. Takeshi, Hayato, and Kohtaro were open to accepting Cyrax as a friend and a fellow ally and have made an effort to support his time in the Pantheon. Cyrax accepted under the condition that they could help him restore him to his former human self, which the Riders were open to accepting, feeling that as allies, they have a drive to make their friends happy and content, Cyrax included.
    • He ended up finding an Odd Friendship with Sun Shangxiang when they met one day in the House of Loyalty and Servitude with Sub-Zero. While they seemed to be very different from another, they realized that both have had to deal with Conflicting Loyalty during a critical moment, with Lady Sun being torn between choosing the allegiance of her family and Wu Kingdom, or side with her newlywed husband, Liu Bei, and defect to the Shu Kingdom. She was upset to learn about the circumstances Cyrax went through and offered condolences, even offering to be a friend to ease his mind. Cyrax appreciated Lady Sun's gesture and told her that although her situation was hard, she at least had loved ones on both sides, whereas he was betrayed by the very people he was supposed to work with and had to see his ideals crumble apart due to the cyberization of his clan. The two have since maintained good contact with one another, with Lady Sun being eager to provide some moral support for Cyrax at any time.
  • Emphasis on Sektor
    • Since his days in the Pantheon, Sektor has managed to retain most of his allies, though many are well aware that all that matters to Sektor himself is his version of the Lin Kuei and if he can't have that, then he'll kickstart his own clan, though as of the moment, Triborg has already beaten him in forming the Tekunin. Despite this, Sektor remains on good terms with him and is open to working alongside him. This is also the same for Frost, though tensions have arisen for quite some time, considering Frost has proven herself to be even more egotistical and deranged than Sektor could, to the extent that he feels irritated by her constant needs and bragging. They only work together because of the vast amount of mutual enemies they have as well as their cybernetic nature and similar goals, but they're aware that there will come a point where they'll clash against one another, and Sektor is awaiting that moment. But for now, they have other things to contend against, and as much as he doesn't like her all that much, Sektor is willing to work with Frost for now.
    • Sektor takes utter pride and enjoyment over his new physiology as a cyborg and he is more than willing to promote it in some way or another. This was one of the reasons he decided to create a new clan, the Tekunin, so that he could prove to himself that he has surpassed the Lin Kuei and that cyberization is really the ultimate direction to improve and further master one's kombat prowess, an ideology which many, especially Sub-Zero and Cyrax scoffed and heavily disagreed on. He was amused to discover that while he died by Sub-Zero's hands, a remnant of his, Cyrax's, and Smoke's memories awakened a test cyborg known as Triborg, who would go on to create his own iteration of the Tekunin. Learning this, the two were quick to strike an alliance, alongside Frost, who wanted to usurp the Lin Kuei and use it as a platform order so that others can respect and worship her. For now, the three cyborgs get along, though Frost is secretly planning to take over the Tekunin as well, a fact that Sektor himself is aware of, but has convinced her that as of now, their vendetta against Sub-Zero and Cyrax takes more precedence.
    • Sektor was interested to learn about those who were once human, but we're mechanized, willingly or not. He found the Cybermen to be a fascinating sight and was open to trying and seeing what made them so infamous and enduring as long-standing enemies of The Doctor, hoping that their mechanical physiology can provide something that can influence a new cyber ninja model for him to either upgrade into and factory create as part of an army. On the contrary, the Cybermen are quite neutral towards Sektor; he is an ideal cybernetic with all the capabilities and ideals necessary in their ideology, though the fact that he acts upon his own free will was seen as a point of contention as they believe that absolute order is the only way in which universal stability can be possible. The one exception among the Cybermen was Ashad, who was impressed by Sektor's Lack of Empathy and his overall power, though while Sektor is open to working with him, it's only out of fighting mutual enemies and providing support to the GUAM in some capacity, as Sektor isn't one to endorse destroying all of life like Ashad intends on doing so.
    • Is wholly condemned by most of the House of Family and Relatives due to his admittedly shameless admittance of killing his father just to seize leadership of the Lin Kuei. While father and son's relationship was mainly professional at best, it was still noted that Sektor was a symbol of pride, which made his reputation in the House all the worse. That said, The Child Abuse Supporters were rather supportive and encouraging of Sektor's actions, even allowing him to be an occasional visitor. Sektor found himself relating to Ozai and Scar in the sense that both of them chose the route of usurping leadership by killing their leaders, which happened to be an older kin of theirs. Scar's killing of Mufasa and Ozai playing a role in the poisoning of his father was not too dissimilar to Sektor killing his father after all and Sektor even admits that he likes their company. Ozai has complimented Sektor's use of pyrotechnical devices and flamethrowers, though he thinks that his firebending skills are superior overall, whilst Sektor claims that he can make up for it in years of kombat experience. For now, they share a slight alliance, if mainly because The Child Abuse Supporters are considering the idea of wanting to have some of Sektor's tech for their use, which he granted out of a sense of pragmatism to maintain a working relationship with them.
    • Whilst the act of willingly selling out your humanity is bound to give you a lot of scorn, there were some who ended up commending Sektor for doing exactly just that. Dr. Nefarious and Mumkhar were among those figures who praised Sektor for going the extra step to cyberize his entire body in an effort to achieve the fullest potential a Lin Kuei warrior could achieve and greatly considered working alongside Sektor. He reciprocated with acceptance and even sent out cyber ninja drones to help them out on a few occasions, though Sektor has made it clear on a couple of occasions that his desires and goals come first and foremost and that what Nefarious and Mumkhar were doing was having a temporary boost in their firepower, support, and research. This stemmed from the fact that Dr. Nefarious and Mumkhar were too caught up on their personal whims, much like Sektor was, and he felt that his drones shouldn't be wasted too much on the desire of others. He'll help the two, if mainly because he needs to find a way to deal with his and their enemies, and he's secretly planning to dispose and/or abandon them in the case that they're no longer needed.
    • He expressed interest in Aloy, if mainly because of the women's impressive combat skills, her expertise in archery, and her resourcefulness when it comes to surviving in the wild. On a further note, this also extends to her world, which is thriving with a series of animalistic war robots that ravaged her planet many years ago. Sektor seeks to capture those beasts and see if he can repurpose them into serving his commands, with the GUAM also following suit, given their own professional ties with the cyberized ninja. He also has his own plans for Aloy, namely capturing and converting her into a fully mechanical cyborg and inducting her as part of his allegiance. Predictably, Aloy immediately rebelled against Sektor upon learning of his plans and the two have fought from time to time. This eventually escalated when Aloy herself found an alliance with Cyrax, which further prompted Sektor to put more effort in combating against the two of them, knowing that Cyrax and Aloy working together would pose a big threat to him.

[up]x6 I don't really know how to say this, but I feel like your suggestion is bit... weak. The Laconic page for Stupid Jetpack Hitler is "Exaggerated Nazi super-science." (see: Mecha-suit Hitler in Wolfenstein), while your description feels like "Nazis with slightly advanced technology". Hell, you are trying to replace a cyborg Nazi soldier fighting vampires with someone who peaked at developing nukes.

[up] Ummmm, they're still a pretty good example, given that they mass-produce several real designs that never saw the light of day, only remained as prototypes, were never deployed in combat, or saw little service. I'd still say it counts as exaggerated, given that the overall tone of the game is itself exaggerating the scope of the capabilities of Nazi Germany's weapons projects, albeit in a somewhat downplayed and more plausible way. Heck, they build a freaking atom bomb, something the real Nazis were unable to even come close to finishing. The game isn't called "Normal Weapons Over Normandy" now, is it?

Also, I think Stroheim can work with another trope, such as No Swastikas (especially relevant to his anime adaptation version from what I recall) or Evil Versus Oblivion (the current holder isn't someone I'd be willing to keep, on top of being an older profile). So there's that. I won't be reworking him myself, though.

I haven't really figured out how the potential Guardians in Media And Connectivity would work, so I'll see how this goes.

This is a list of potential candidates for Guardians (though if there is another viable option, feel free to say so):

I'm also wondering if one group of four guardians or two groups of three guardians (which would be split between general types of media and adaptations of existing work and characters) would be better.

What would work best in terms of Guardians for this new House?

[up] Perhaps Two Groups of Three would be my go-to (The Adaptation Frontline for, well, characters representing adaptations and Entertainment Medium Mascots for mediums and probably crossovers).

Some food for though on my part, though none of these are definitive...

Group A

  • Doraemon and co.
  • Shadow the Hedgehog
  • Broly (DBS)
  • Morgan Le Fay
  • Adora and Catra

Group B

  • The Anti-Monitor
  • Space Dandy
  • The Genie
  • Genevieve
  • David Attenborough

I'll properly nominate Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson for Group B though.

EDIT: I'll be picking The Anti-Monitor for the crossover rep for the guardians.

A kind reminder that I'm intending to ascend Jay Garrick and Alan Scott to Media Representation once the House has been set up.

  • On speaking terms with: The Grand United Alliance of Machines, the House of Machinery and Technology (like SCP-079)
  • Rival: The Vex (on their end)
  • Enemies: The Ebon Dragon, Unicron, Magla'droth of the C'Tan, Fused Zamasu, Nom Anor, The Sarkic Cults, Dr Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, The Flood (Halo), The Divine Powers
  • On poor terms with: The SCP Foundation
  • Autochthonia is an Eternal Engine realm of Magitek and Steampunk, consisting of tubes, cables, gears and conduits. It is also a Primordial. The weakest of the Primordials, belittled and bullied by his siblings for his weak health caused by cancerous Voidtech. When the gods rebelled, he sided with them. Out of the calamitous war, he in his guilt went into exile from Creation. Though undeniably brilliant, he possesses all the foresight of a blind lemming.
  • Autochthon's absolute mastery of technology of all sorts once made him the head of the House of Machinery and Technology. Much of the tech here was his own work, and many of the greatest engineers in the house studied under him. But those days were long past...until he had heard that two other of his Exalted brethren eventually made their return. Though he rarely leaves his interdimensional temple, an argument for his return was made by fellow machine-god Primus who saw great potential in the Primordial. An embodiment of machinery he is fond of Transformers as a whole, mainly the Autobots, and was happy to see the House of Machinery and Technology still cared about him. The Great Maker is well aware of the similarities he and Primus have, which is part of why they've chosen to ally with one another. It's also part of why he regards Unicron as a mortal foe.
  • The Primordial is very similar to Vulcan/Hepheastus. The two are crippled, genius inventors who are bullied and made laughing stocks of their kind. As far as Autochthon is concerned, the only two major differences between them is a)Vulcan is a more competent inventor and b)he remains loyal to his family. Obviously he's not proud of the latter, and along with his championing of the human spirit this guilt is why he adamantly rejects taking the side of the Divine Powers; he does not want another war. Due to this his past bullying the Great Maker has a soft spot for Rudolph. How he feels about his master Santa Claus hasn't been revealed yet.
  • Still guilty over his betrayal of his fellow Primordials, Autochthon tries not to take sides. However he does admit to being fond of the GUAM. This isn't to say that he believes in machine superiority, and doesn't approve of the actions of more ruthless members like SKYNET, and is in fact an advocate of humanity. However he regards machinery like his children and has a clear fondness for technology. So long as they don't try to harm or seriously exploit him members of the GUAM are welcome to study. The nicer and nobler demons wholly accept this. The Church of the Broken God are in awe of Autochthon and believe he may guide them to enlightenment.
  • Despite his tremendous power, Autochthon has a serious physical ailment that will one day kill him; Voidtech. It's an Oblivion-fueled cancer that infects and defiles his mechanical body with organic matter. He used to be able to treat it without much difficulty, but following his slumber it has seriously endangered the Primordial. The Sarkic Cults are of the belief that they should exacerbate this corruption due to their views on technology. The Machine God regards the Flood as similarly cancerous force and has been designing new methods of purging malignant tissues. The GUAM has been further motivated to behave around him by trying to convince him to improve and fix them if need be.
  • The Church of the Broken God seeks to cure him of his cancer so he may restore their god Mekhane back in full, however there is another serious issue they'd have to overcome afterwards; being an idiot. The SCP Foundation is always keeping an eye on whatever his new inventions may be as a number of them are anomalous and dangerous. In spite, or perhaps because of his awkwardness and ineptitude he likes hanging out with Nero Claudius and her artwork. As much as a grump like Marvin can get along with anyone, he and Autochthon are cordial over their shared experience with pain, misfortune, and the Primordials' bond to all machinery.
  • The inventor of the Exaltation is an advocate of humanity in general, which is why despite being a deity he and the Emperor of Mankind get along relatively well...even if he's deeply frustrated by Autochthon's incompetence and unreliability. The being was first brought to the Imperium of Mankind's attention due some of the Adeptus Mechanicus speculating he and the Omnissiah were connected. Autochthon could be considered a Good Counterpart to Mag'ladroth the Void Dragon, as they are ancient machine gods, however nothing about the latter bodes well for humanity. The King of All Craftsmen has sworn to ensure what plans the Void Dragon have are to be thwarted.
  • Though quick to judge just about anyone outside himself, Zamasu takes special umbridge towards Autochthon. He can't imagine him supporting mortals and has accused him for being an inept god who spread evil to mortals with his technology and knowledge. Though he's correct to call the Machine God as inept, Autochthon immediately pointed out his villainy and hypocrisy and has chosen not to listen to his ramblings anymore. Prometheus applauded this, and in contrast gave Auto-kun constructive criticism. The two bonded over their love-hate relationship with their pantheon, fondness for mortals and gift of knowledge.
  • The Celestials are curious about him as a cosmic inventor, a precursor-like entity and a primordial being, however he has no interest in being part of whatever their plan is. He has similar disinterest in the Vex, however they are deeply interested in him and trying to persuade him to aid in their subverting of reality to their own interests.
  • Dr Eggman adores the technology and power associated with the living Eternal Engine, but as that interest would inevitably lead to him trying to weaponize himnote  they expected to fall into conflict with one another. By contrast Dr Viktor may be evil, but he treats Autochthon with respect and fascination of his invention. Tails had a far more innocent respect for Autochthon as an inventor of gadgets, along with an experience dealing with his environment due to his opposition with Eggman.

[up] Well, if I'd put in a recommendation, I'd say give Sam Manly Facial Hair then.

Nominations...

  • Ambush Bug - Un-Installment
    • Ambush Bug is a comic book character who went on to star in his own series and makes his mark as a notable Fourth Wall Breaker. However, despite his series having a total of 6 issues, it ends on Issue 7; there is no Issue 6. Interestingly, this trope ends up becoming a plot point for Ambush Bug as he tries to spend a good deal of Issue 7 trying to find out just what happened to Issue 6, ala in a Great Detective-esque narrative.
  • Ann Darrow - Fallen-on-Hard-Times Job
    • Ann was once a famous actress working in Broadway in the 1920s, but when the Great Depression strikes, her job very quickly dries out and Ann is eventually left without occupation to sustain her finance and living, at one point becoming desperate to regain her old status as a renowned actress to the point where she accepts a deal with Jack Denham to travel with him to Skull Island to film a movie and take shots there that could eventually help them earn a profit.
  • Dragon Tales Main Cast - Mistakes Are Not the End of the World
    • This trope serves as a core philosophy shared by the main cast, as the kids and dragons partake in several activities and go on some adventures. They do face some difficulties and quite often, they don't succeed, but the takeaway on those occasions is that something is always learned from the experience that the kids and dragons can take to adhering in the future. It's also enforced by the writers of the show, stating that to justify Dragon Tales as an educational show, one of its purpose is to help children understand that to try and not succeed fully is a valuable and natural part of learning."

Note: I'm aware that Fallen-on-Hard-Times Job is currently taken by Luhy Distone, but as it stands, her profile is not in good shape and I would argue that Ann herself is a pretty good example as it plays with her character and motivations.

[down] This is the right place to discuss cleanups and reworks regarding the Pantheon projects. He's an older profile, which tend to be rather barren and out-of-date contentwise. I don't think anyone's actively reworking him now, nor do I know if anyone's interested in reworking him.

I'm not sure if this is the place for potential "cleanups," but Ganondorf's page needs a look. I don't know how to describe it, but it's surprisingly barren and not really in-depth. I feel the King of Evil himself deserves better...
I don't know if someone's already doing a rework for him, I'm just pointing something out.

Bottom Posting

[up]And I'm pretty sure most of us are aware of the old profiles including that.
