The Seven Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins are a group of ancient and monstrously powerful demons who rule over the seven rings of Hell with Lucifer being their leader.

While the Sins are part of the overall demon hierarchy of the universe of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, most of them so far have been featured prominently in the latter series since it focuses more on the native Hell-born demons that basically run the inner workings of Hell as opposed to the Sinners and top royalty associated with them.

    In General
  • Affably Evil: Zigzagged; the first Sins explored in depth completely lack the utter dysfunction and inherent classism that seems rampant among Goetia royalty. Everyone, no matter their species is welcome in their abodes to have a good time and they both have notably loving relationships with people lower than them in rank. They also lack the pomposity most Goetia seem to possess: Asmodeus being a Reasonable Authority Figure and Beelzebub having a genuine What's Up, King Dude? attitude. Mammon on the other hand is not only a manipulative Jerkass but also lacks the standards that characterize Asmodeus and Beelzebub, being completely uncaring of who he hurts or what depths he has to sink to in the name of Greed. According to an official source, Lucifer and Lilith appreciated each other deeply before they eventually split seven years in the past and the former seems to have taught their daughter Charlie a thing or two about standing up for herself. In fact, when it comes to his daughter, Lucifer genuinely does love Charlie but originally didn't believe in her plan to redeem sinners due to his past failures and pessimistic perspective on the matter before she finally convinced him otherwise.
  • Animal Motifs: All of the ones seen so far have one.
    • Alongside an apple motif, Lucifer has two animal motifs:
      • Ducks, (and waterfowl in general) are some of Lucifer's main motifs. He makes rubber ducks as a hobby, a rubber duck acts as his caller ID on Charlie's phone and it's even implied his true form is swan-like (tying into the fact that when we first meet Sera and Emily they look more like birds). While it is a bit hard to notice due to his top hat, he sports a ducktail haircut. This also makes him an allusion to The Ugly Duckling, as someone who was cast out from his fellow angels for being different, though in Lucifer's case it's less about appearances and more about having revolutionary ideas with unforeseen consequences. He even turns into a bird at one point when fighting Adam.
      • Lucifer also has snakes as a major motif, which makes sense considering the part he played in the Fall of Man. He is briefly shown in the form of a snake when he appears in the Storybook Opening and his hat has a snake coiling around an apple on it. The snake also resembles a worm, to represent the concept of a Worm in an Apple. During his battle against Adam, he briefly turns into a snake a couple of times.
    • Beelzebub is a combination of bee and fox with her abode resembling a beehive. Her One-Winged Angel form is also significantly more insectoid.
    • Mammon has spiders as shown by him lounging in a web during Fizzarolli's show and having extra eyes and limbs. His true form has long clawed spider legs and a rotund abdomen.
    • Asmodeus is a Cocky Rooster and has all the arrogance and Extreme Libido to go with it. Additionally he has the heads of a bull and goat silhouetted on his feathered collar and these symbols appear on the doors to his office.
    • Belphegor is implied to be one of the Baphomets, who are goat demons.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Three of the four Sins seen so far are eccentric to some degree. Lucifer spends his time making rubber ducks as a hobby, Beelzebub is a Hard-Drinking Party Girl, and Mammon is a foul-mouthed jester. However, they're still the most powerful demons in Hell and have a One-Winged Angel form to transform into if pissed enough.
  • Circus of Fear: According to Vivziepop each Sin is based on a circus act to essentially form a collective troupe ruled by Lucifer. Doubles as a Stealth Pun on the fact that Hell is divided into rings, like an actual circus.
    • Lucifer himself takes the role as ringmaster and circus head and even has the circus theme as his phone's ringtone.
    • Beelzebub represents the animal (tamer) shows with her mansion being decorated by various hoops and rings as well as the confectionery stands based on all the sweets and booze she provides.
    • Mammon is a clown or jester; he even hosts annual competitions to select his favorites.
    • Asmodeus dresses like a flashy Las Vegas style magician. Possibly a fire eater as his more demonic form portrays flames and shown to blow out fire from his mouth.
  • Decomposite Character: In modern interpretations, Lucifer, Satan, and to a lesser extent Beelzebub and Asmodeus, are often considered different names for the same entity. This series is truer to older writings by making them four separate entities corresponding to four of the Seven Deadly Sins.
  • Demon Lords and Archdevils: They are the top demons in Hell, each of them ruling over one of the seven Rings and being by far the most powerful characters in the series outside the royal family.
  • Do Wrong, Right: A general theme of the ones shown/mentioned so far is they certainly want the denizens of Hell to partake in their respective sins, but in proper ways.
    • Lucifer advises his daughter to take pride in her status in a way that implies others shouldn't feel pride they haven't earned.
    • Beelzebub wants her guests to embrace gluttony only for the sake of overindulgence in and of itself. Doing so to avoid problems is something she dislikes.
    • Asmodeus approves of wild sexual lives and sometimes destructive lustful flings but wants them to be Safe, Sane, and Consensual for all involved.
    • Seemingly averted and defied with Mammon who shows no standards over how greediness should be indulged. However, this does earn him the distaste of at least one other Sin (specifically Asmodeus).
  • Elemental Motifs: Several of the Sins are shown to be aligned with a certain element. Whenever they enter their One-Winged Angel form said element is released from their bodies unconsciously. Beelzebub is the outlier due to demonstrating control over honey rather than any element.
    • Lucifer has a light motif, being a Fallen Angel that dresses in white and can conjure portals that take the form of rings of light.
    • Asmodeus has a fire motif, his body erupting in flames whenever he gets angry and being able to turn into fire to travel around quickly.
    • Mammon has a storm motif, his body discharging electricity and emitting storm clouds when he lashes out at Fizzarolli.
  • Embodiment of Vice: They run the rings named for the Seven Deadly Sins and their activities and powers seem oriented around encouraging said sins. Fizzarolli calls Asmodeus "the embodiment of lust" and he runs an adult entertainment club and manages sex toy factories. Likewise, Beelzebub self identifies as "the queen bee of gluttony" and throws lavish parties where she encourages her guests to over-indulge on food and drink.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: As an Embodiment of Vice they are all for others indulging in their representative vices, but from what we've seen among the focused sins this is only as long as it's for the (relatively) right reasons and not hurting themselves or others. Mammon appears to be the exception as he's only focused on himself instead of others indulging in his sin and has very few standards to how he goes about it.
    • Beelzebub may be Gluttony and generally encourages extreme consumption but she only does this with people who can handle it. When Bee can sense that Blitzo is drinking out of depression rather than enjoyment she tells Loona to check on him.
    • When Asmodeus thought Stolas came to him for a Love Potion he became legitimately mad. He believes Lust should be mutually enjoyed and not forced. The implied reason he holds forced lust so utterly disgusting is quite clear.
  • Fisher King:
    • They're the respective rulers of the seven Rings of Hell and each Ring reflects the ruling Sin's assigned vice. The Lust Ring ruled by Asmodeus is a sophisticated Red Light District, the Gluttony Ring ruled by Beelzebub is like a wealthy elite's tropical escape, the Sloth Ring has a goopy and melted aesthetic, the Wrath Ring is a hot, harsh and arid landscape where fighting competitions are celebrated and the Greed Ring ruled by Mammon is an industrialized, dilapidated landscape where crimes from robbery to kidnapping to gang activity are rife in the name of monetary gain.
    • From what we've seen so far the crime levels and living standards in (what we've seen of) the Rings also seem to reflect the character standards of their rulers. Asmodeus and Beelzebub both believe one should Do Wrong, Right and are focused on others' indulgences, and they appear to be decent and considerate people by the show's standards: from what we've seen their Rings appear as stable, sophisticated and luxurious places to live. By contrast Mammon is a complete douchebag with virtually no standards solely focused on his own indulgence rather than that of others: and what we see of his Ring paints it as a miserable, crime-ridden and chaotic place where residents are constantly robbing, kidnapping, ransoming and murdering each other and assaulting the local institutions while Lucifer, as shown in "Dad Beat Dad" holds his subjects in utter contempt despite previously trying to redeem them in the past before becoming pessimistic, hence the overpopulated, war torn City of the Damned that is the Ring of Pride.
  • Large and in Charge: Zigzagged. All of the Sins revealed so far are huge in their One-Winged Angel forms (which may be their true appearances) but the ones they use to interact with other denizens of Hell vary most of the time. Asmodeus and Mammon tower over the average demons but Beelzebub's usual form is no larger than average and Lucifer is actually shorter than his own daughter Charlie.
  • Large Ham: They're all very flashy and theatrical individuals with both Admodeus and Beelzebub making their first appearance by way of their own song ("House of Asmodeus" and "Cotton Candy" respectively), and Lucifer is introduced making Rubber Ducks with a whole entire collection and has his own introduction song a little later in "Dad Beat Dad" that he shares with Alastor ("Hell's Greatest Dad"). They also tend to incorporate circus imagery into the designs of their establishments.
  • Monster Lord: Each of the Sins we've seen so far appears to rule over a class of demon. Lucifer, though ruling over all of Hell who was once a Seraphim and became a Fallen Angel when he and Lilith were cast into Hell primarily relates to the Sinners, Asmodeus to the Succubi and Incubi, Beelzebub to the Hellhounds and Mammon to the unnamed Lizard Folk and Loan Sharks. While they haven't shown up yet it's implied Satan rules the Imps, Leviathan the Fish People and Belphegor demons like the Baphomets.
  • Nice, Mean, and In-Between: Of the ones with fleshed out personalities: Lucifer and Beelzebub are nice, Mammon is mean and Asmodeus is inbetween.
  • The Older Immortal: Asmodeus and Mammon are so old they predate Hell itself, which makes them vastly older than other immortals in the series, like Stolas and Stella who are less than a century old.
  • One-Winged Angel: Each Sin we've seen thus far has the ability to shift into noticeably more monstrous or at least inhuman forms like demons such as Charlie whenever sufficiently pissed off or emotional, though each one actually gigantic compared to other denizens of Hell, their teeth becoming sharper and their voices taking on a deeper pitch and echo effect.
    • Beelzebub's eyes turn red, her hair turns gold, a third eye opens on her forehead, her wings grow longer and her lava-lamp like body pulsates more.
    • Asmodeus's heads and hands are engulfed in flames, his tail feathers turn into fire and his remaining two heads take on a more demonic visage.
    • Mammon's other three sets of eyes open, he briefly engulfs himself in a pupa before emerging with much sharper features, his lower half replaced with a spider abdomen and legs and he begins discharging electricity and storm clouds.
    • Lucifer's demon form combines his six seraphim wings along with Charlie's horns, eyes and tail with Angelic eyes within his cloak and a ball of fire floating over his head. He doesn't change his height though, still shown to be shorter than his daughter.
  • Rainbow Motif: The Sins and their respective rings are associated with a certain color as shown in the elevator station and the maps app on Blitzo's phone in "Ozzie's".
    • Red for Lucifer and the Pride Ring.
    • Orange for Satan and the Wrath Ring.
    • Yellow for Beelzebub and the Gluttony Ring.
    • Green for Mammon and the Greed Ring.
    • Blue for Asmodeus and the Lust Ring.
    • Purple for Leviathan and the Envy Ring.
    • Pink for Belphegor and the Sloth Ring.
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: Each of the seven deadly sins rules their own circle of hell and are the most powerful demons of said rings.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Based on Blitzø's phone screen each of the Sins runs their own corresponding app providing a specific service. Some of them have also been seen to actually have a hands-on role in Hell's infrastructure:
    • Lucifer has his own theme park named "Lu Lu World" in the Pride Ring that he created and has an app named "Lucimaster" based on the real world Ticketmaster app for it and he officially starts supporting his daughter's "Hazbin Hotel" project to redeem sinners after the events of " The Show Must Go On".
    • Asmodeus owns a nightclub in the Lust Ring and is shown personally overseeing the production of Hell's sex toys.
    • Mammon runs virtually all of Greed's industries which is especially notable as Greed is essentially the industrial center of Hell.
    • Beelzebub creates all of the Beezlejuice in Hell and is heavily implied to be in charge of all of the restaurants in the Gluttony Ring due to having an app regarding restaurants and also appears to have some role in the Hellhound adoption program since her name is on Loona's adoption certificate.
    • Belphegor runs the pharmaceutical industry in Hell.
  • Seven Deadly Sins: They are the very embodiment of these in both title and nature.
  • Stealth Pun: The rulers of a realm divided into rings all resemble circus performers.
  • Time Abyss: Asmodeus outright states both he and Mammon have been around since the beginning of Hell itself at the very least (and the implication is that the other Sins are just as old). This means they are easily some of the oldest beings in the series. How old exactly they are have not been spelled out but considering Hell as a concept is several thousands of years old and it was created after Lucifer and Lilith gave Eve the forbidden fruit they have to be around that age if not older. In the song "Finale", Lucifer says Charlie has been the first demon to make a difference in 10,000 years, indicating they're that old at a minimum.
  • Two Girls to a Team: Beelzebub and Belphegor are confirmed so far to be the only female Sins.
  • Uptown Girl: Both Asmodeus and Beelzebub are Sins yet are in romantic relationships with demons far below them in rank — far enough for it to be scandalous. In contrast it is currently unknown how Hell generally views Lucifer's previous relationship with Lilith, a Sinner.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: The Sins revealed thus far (bar Lucifer, who rules through fear) have shown themselves to be very charismatic, with their subjects wilfully revering them. Mammon can even insult a massive crowd openly and to their faces, and still find ways to keep their adoration.
  • Voice of the Legion: The four Sins who have appeared thus far have this when in their One-Winged Angel forms.
  • What's Up, King Dude?: While Beelzebub is the most prominent example the other two Sins we've seen, Asmodeus and Mammon allow themselves pretty easy access to the commoners of Hell with the former owning a nightclub and latter hosting his own pageants.

The overall king of Hell, the Sin of Pride, and leader of the Sins, whose primary domain is the Pride Ring. Lucifer's not in this show, but he's very important in the other one, and you can find him here.

    Satan, Sin of Wrath

One of the Seven Deadly Sins and ruler over the Wrath Ring.

  • Decomposite Character:
    • While this was mentioned in an official statement for the sister series Hazbin Hotel, Satan's mentions here confirm him to be separate from Charlie's dad, Lucifer, as the latter rules over the Pride Ring.
    • His role as the demon of Wrath makes him one to the fallen angel Azazel who is sometimes portrayed as Wrath instead since in "Hazbin Hotel", Charlie is shown in "Dad Beat Dad" to have Azazel's contact information on her phone.
  • King Mook: The icon used by Satan's fitness app on Blitzo's phone depicts a dragon-like creature with imp horns, implying that Satan's physical appearance has imp-like elements just as Beelzebub has features of the Hellhounds she lords over.
  • Like Brother and Sister: Beelzebub claims that she sees Satan as like a brother, which made things awkward when she called him hot when she saw him without a shirt once.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Apparently, Bee can attest that she got smitten and then embarrassed when she saw him without a shirt on. Him owning a workout app also supports this.
  • Oh, My Gods!: His name is often invoked by quite a number of characters in place of invoking God. Vivienne Medrano has stated that many Imps — especially ones raised in the Wrath Ring — genuinely worship Satan as a deity.
  • Seven Deadly Sins: The embodiment of Wrath and ruler of the Wrath Ring.
  • Shown Their Work: Historically-speaking, Satan and Lucifer being the same entity is a relatively recent development in Abrahamic mythology. Earlier interpretations have considered the two to be separate beings. Referencing them as separate for the show appears to have been a deliberate decision in line with how the show portrays other pieces of obscure occult lore.
  • The Strongman: Within the overall circus theme of the Seven Sins, it is implied Satan embodies the role of a circus strongman. This is supported by several clues such as the glorification of physical strength in the Wrath Ring; Blitzo's phone where the app corresponding to Satan is a fitness app; and Beelzebub's comments about Satan's attractive physique.

Voiced by: Kesha Sebert
Singing Voice: Rochelle Diamante

"I'm what you want, not what you need."

Also known as Bee, Beelzebub is a bee-fox demon who's the Sin of Gluttony and ruler over the Gluttony Ring. She's also Vortex's girlfriend.

  • Adaptation Name Change: Downplayed. In most writings of the character, the pathological demon of gluttony is named "Beelzebub". While the name remains the same, it's primarily stylized as "Bee-Lzebub" instead, separating the name and focusing on the first part as part of her overall bee motif.
  • Adaptation Species Change: Beelzebub is usually depicted with fly-like traits (since the name literally means "lord of the flies") instead of a bee-fox hybrid.
  • Affably Evil: She's a Nice Girl, and an excellent party host, but she's also the Queen of Gluttony, with presumably all that entails. She's very clearly feeding off her guests' indulgences and gluttony, she just happens to not be a jerk about it.
  • Ambiguously Bi: Given her relationship with Vortex, Bee is definitely attracted to guys; however, some of her interactions with Loona seem flirtatious, such as calling Loona "cutie" during their first interaction. On a more general scale, while she's willing to rough house with the guys at her party, she's gentler in her interaction with the girls present: During her song, she crams a slice of cake into a male hellhound's mouth hard enough to knock him over, but hands off the slice of pie she gives to the female hellhound standing next to him.
  • Ambiguous Situation: A Freeze-Frame Bonus of Loona's adoption papers shows her approval on them. It's not known how much oversight she has over the hellhound adoption system which is nothing short of a complete clusterfuck as shown in "Seeing Stars".
  • Anger Born of Worry: She's clearly working to keep a lid on her temper while trying to convince Loona to check in on Blitzo, and Bee's dialog makes it clear she's genuinely concerned for his well-being. Although she snaps when Loona takes a dig at her, Bee calms down the instant Loona walks away, and is genuinely apologetic to Tex for the outburst, indicating the snap was at least partially fueled by frustration with Loona for not being more concerned about Blitzo.
  • Animal Motifs: Bees, drawing off the interpretation of Beelzebub being the "Lord of Bees" rather than Flies. Her manor even resembles a bee hive. However like a fly, she noticeable only has one pair of wings rather than two most other insects have.
  • Beelzebub: She's the Helluva Boss take on the theological patron demon of gluttony. Specifically, she draws inspiration from interpretations that depict Beelzebub as a bee rather than a fly.
  • Berserk Button: Bee does not like being dissed in any way at her own parties, and transforms into a much bigger size in front of Loona, warning Loona not to provoke her further. However, Bee calms down as soon as Loona backs off, and immediately apologizes for the outburst (as the near-Cat Fight spectacle upset Vortex).
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's the most genuinely kind of the Seven Deadly Sins seen so far, even being honestly concerned when someone isn’t actually enjoying one of her parties. That said, she doesn’t hesitate to throw her literal weight around when someone refuses an order. When Loona refuses to check on Blitzo and insults Bee, Bee grows enormous and tells Loona "don't fuck with me!" before growling at her.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: She's essentially a giant bee demon that's part fox. Although she's hardly "creepy" at all.
  • Big Eater: Averted, or at least Downplayed; while almost all other portrayals of embodiments of the Seven Deadly Sins in fiction default to portraying Gluttony as a fat and bloated creature obsessed with eating, Bee represents gluttony as hedonism, which is why she appears as a slim and sexy party girl. While she does create lots of food and encourage people to eat and drink as much as they want, it's all about indulging themselves in what they enjoy rather than just eating for eating's sake.
  • Bizarre Alien Biology: Her belly's a lava lamp filled with the same constantly shifting colored fluid as her hair and tail. According to Viv, one reason for this is to show that she's constantly burning up what she consumes, which keeps her indulging. Another reason is that it also gives her a free-spirited hippy vibe.
  • Card-Carrying Jerkass: Discussed, as she's a Nice Girl on-screen, but she has this to say regarding her relationship with Belphegor.
"I mean, I usually just steal [Belle's party drugs], but Belle changed the locks. She says I'm a total "jackass" for trying, but hey- I'm proud to be a total jackass."
  • Casting Gag: One of Vivienne Medrano's first animated videos was a music video of Kesha's "Die Young" featuring the wolf-girl character Jay Jay (from Zoophobia) — now Kesha is voicing a different wolf-girl in Vivienne's own work.
  • Composite Character:
    • Concept-wise she's a combination of the theological Beelzebub and the association hellhounds would have with gluttony via Cerberus who resided in the Circle of Gluttony in The Divine Comedy.
    • Not necessarily herself but more her sigil. The sigil in her mansion is actually typically associated with another theological demon Bael and it appears to have been combined in a sense with her name to give her a sigil as part of being the Helluva Boss interpretation of Beelzebub. Whether this means that she herself is a composite character of both Beelzebub and Bael beyond just the sigil is not yet confirmed. It's also not yet confirmed that by extension she's also a Goetia since Bael's counted among the real life list of Ars Goetia but she doesn't have the apparent bird demon theme that the other confirmed Goetias in the series have. This however does make her to some extent something of composite character of two theological Decomposite Characters of sorts as both the demons Beelzebub and Bael were essentially derived from the Canaanite deity Baal who was decried as a false god in scripture by Abrahamic religions.
  • Cool Crown: Subverted. Bee has a black spot of hair in her fur bangs that looks like a three prong tiara (or a tiny flame).
  • Demon Lords and Archdevils: She's one of the Seven Deadly Sins that rule over the rings of Hell, putting her in the same weight class as Asmodeus.
  • Do Wrong, Right: As the sin of Gluttony, Bee approves of overconsumption and overindulgence in food, alcohol, drugs, and anything else that you enjoy. But she disapproves of it when people overindulge for reasons like depression and escapism, instead of purely for the enjoyment of gluttony for its own sake.
  • Elemental Hair Composition: Her ponytail and actual tail appear to be made from Beelzejuice and flow like the lava in lava lamps.
  • Emotion Eater: She apparently can get high from the energy of others indulging in gluttonous acts. She can also "taste" the emotions of those who attend her parties, which are apparently distinct enough in "flavor" that she's able to immediately zero in on Blitzo's negative mindset.
  • The Empath: According to Vivziepop her “taste” for other creatures emotions not only helps her determine the best way to throw her parties, but also makes her the most empathic of the king sins.
  • Everyone Has Standards: She may be the Queen Bee of Gluttony and generally encourage hedonism and extreme consumption, but she only does this with people who can handle it. When Bee can sense that Blitzo is drinking out of depression rather than enjoyment, she tells Loona that she needs to check on him.
  • Fantastic Drug: In addition to her Food-Based Superpowers, some of Bee's food and drink creations seem to be a powerful narcotic, in particular Beelze-Juice, an apparently alcoholic beverage made from her honey. Verosika is stated to have briefly gone into rehab over her addiction to it, and a cask of it leaves Blitzo utterly fucked up. Several hellhounds at her party are shown going wide eyed and foaming at the mouth after consuming her creations, so it doesn't seem to stop with alcohol, either.
  • Food-Based Superpowers: Befitting the Sin of Gluttony, she's able to conjure up, enlarge, control, and change food. She manipulates fountains of honey during her intro song, makes various food and drinks grow larger, and appears to have a mane and tail made of pure honey.
  • For Happiness: Bee's concerned with having a good time, and wants to share the fun with everyone else, too, happily passing out booze, drugs, and junk food at her parties and playing upbeat pop music for her guests to dance to. Notably, when she realizes Blitzo isn't happy or partying to have fun, but is getting trashed to forget his personal problems, she reacts with concern, and tells Loona to take him home.
  • Food as Characterization: She has a Sweet Tooth and encourages anyone partying with her to indulge in junk food, drugs, and alcohol. But she distributes cotton candy most of all and sings about it in "Cotton Candy". In her own words, it's "sticky sweet, stuck in your teeth", making it a metaphor for the addiction and gluttony she espouses. It also matches the circus motif of the rings of Hell, as cotton candy is one of the most frequent concessions and carnivals and circuses.
  • Foxy Vixen: She's a hot fox bee demon.
  • Gender Flip: In theology, Beelzebub is traditionally male. In this show, she's female.
  • Golden Super Mode: Seems like taking a bath in her own Beelzejuice is able to elevate Bee's powers up to eleven, as she starts to manipulate and conjure huge pieces of food and drinks around, all while her lava/honey mane gets a golden color and glow that doesn't seem to be due a trick of the party lights.
  • Graceful Loser: She concedes defeat to Blitzo when he manages to out-drink her, saluting him and leading the other party guests to cheer for him.
  • Hard-Drinking Party Girl: An extreme example. She is known for throwing ragers in her mansion and is shown to be more than willing to engage in drinking games with her guests. She also admits to stealing party drugs from Belphegor, though whether or not Bee uses them herself needs to be clarified.
  • Hartman Hips: Like Loona, Bee's hips are noticeably wider than her bust or waistline.
  • The Hedonist: Bee's interpretation of the sin of "gluttony" is indulging oneself in whatever makes you happy.
  • Incest Subtext: She mentions that she finds Satan attractive. She also admits to being embarrassed about this because he's like a brother to her, although they are Not Blood Related.
  • Insect Queen: She's a literal queen bee in the sense that she's a demon who's part bee and a queen.
  • In-Series Nickname: She also goes simply by Bee which in particular Vortex affectionately calls her.
  • Interspecies Romance: Bee is a half-fox/half-bee demon/embodiment of sin whereas her boyfriend Vortex is a regular hellhound.
  • Lady Swears-a-Lot: Bee makes liberal use of swear words even when she's being casual and friendly, reflecting her hedonistic lifestyle free of constraints. She's introduced swearing up a storm while psyching up a crowd and tells people to keep making her "motherfucking honey" with their excessive indulgences.
Beelzebub: [to her guests] How my dirty bitches doing toniiiiight? OW OW! Y'all ready to party with the Queen Bee of Gluttony? Hell yeah! Cause the honey is flowing tonight- and this bitch bout to get FUCKING! WILD!
  • Light Is Good: Downplayed in that while she's an unashamed demon queen who encourages sensory hedonism, Queen Bee is easily the most benevolent member of Hell's royal caste seen so far. She encourages her subjects and guests to have fun with no ulterior motives, a fact supported by her strong association with the color yellow/gold which informs both her design and her brightly lit night club.
  • Like Brother and Sister: Discussed. Bee says she sees Satan as her brother, which made things extremely awkward when she saw him shirtless for the first time.
  • May–December Romance: With the sins confirmed to have been around since the beginning of Hell, Bee's relationship with Vortex, a normal Hellhound, is one of these.
  • Miracle Food: Befitting the queen of Gluttony, she can conjure food and drink out of thin air or enlarge existing consumables to cartoonish sizes.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: She's a demon that's part bee and part fox.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She has a sexy fox-bee hybrid design and outfit and even Loona admits that she finds her hot.
  • Ms. Vice Girl: As the Lord of Gluttony, Bee is all for overconsumption and overindulgence of sin and vice. She's able to tell people's "vibe" based on their "flavor", and encourages her party guests to get stuffed on food and drink at her parties. She also has Food-Based Superpowers to go along with it, such as creating or enlarging food for her party guests. Even when she tells Loona to check on Blitzo in the "Queen Bee" episode, she says she saw Blitzo with multiple tongues inside of him, and adds "good for him" before reiterating that he doesn't seem to be overindulging for the right reasons.
  • Multi-Armed Multitasking: Bee often gestures with one pair of arms while holding or conjuring something with the other pair.
  • Mythology Gag: Her being voiced by Kesha serves as a callback to Vivziepop's "Die Young" fan music video featuring the Zoophobia character Jay Jay. Her tan color palette also makes her resemble Jay Jay's original design, and she bears a striking resemblance to Jay Jay's final design when the lighting turns her blue.
  • Nice Girl: She may be the representative of the Sin of Gluttony and swears a lot, but is otherwise a kind individual who is friendly towards everyone around her, even towards Loona who clearly is jealous of her. When Blitzo wins against her, she bows to him in respect and accepts her defeat. She was also worried about Blitzo and asked Loona to take care of him, and only got angry when Loona made a snide crack at her; even then, once Loona backed off she immediately calmed down and apologized to Vortex, who was uncomfortable seeing them fight.
  • The Performer King: She's the Sin of Gluttony and ruler of the Gluttony Ring who loves not only throwing hellhound parties but also performing in them as their host.
  • Punny Name: Her name is a play on the original name of demon prince Beelzebub, meaning "Lord of the Flies", and emphasizes the "Bee" part of her name by including a dash. This helps to signify that she is a bee-fox hybrid.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: She's the Queen of the realm of Gluttony and seems to treat her subjects and those attending her parties more than affably. And while she does flare up at Loona, she only did so because Loona was refusing to check up on Blitzo when Bee could tell he was self-destructing and went no further than yelling and shapeshifting.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: Her lava lamp-like hair prominently features neon pink and she's the nicest of the Seven Deadly Sins, throwing parties both to feast on the gluttonous energy and to make her partygoers happy. She affectionately tells them to "get fucked" on food and drugs while also hoping that her parties can help bring Loona out of her shell. Bee also checks in on her guests to make sure they're doing alright and is in a healthy, tender relationship with Tex..
  • Seven Deadly Sins: She's the embodiment of Gluttony and appropriately rules over the Gluttony Ring of Hell. She prominently displays this with her power to create all sorts of food- particularly cotton candy, which is delicious, but not very good for you.
    • Downplayed, however; while some interpretations of Gluttony skew "all enjoyment of food and drink is EEEEEVIL", more generous readings place Gluttony as a "deadly" sin only when one consumes irresponsibly. Bee's concern over Blitzo's self-destructive use of sex and substances implies she either encourages Temperance (i.e. knowing when to stop), or simply encourages indulging in gluttony for it's own sake but not for escapism.
  • Sheep in Sheep's Clothing: Her song "Cotton Candy" has Bee encouraging people, as the Sin of Gluttony, to indulge and over-consume their favorite vice, including using magic to make food and drink grow bigger around her party. Since Bee is a central focus of the episode, one of the Seven Deadly Sins, and Tex's girlfriend (and thus Loona's romantic rival), the expectation is that the other shoe will drop and Bee will become an antagonist. She never does; this friendly party-host personality is what Bee is actually like, even making small chat with Loona and complimenting her. Despite Loona accusing Bee of having an ulterior motive for inviting her to the party, Bee's initial reason — that she just wanted Loona to join one of her smaller parties as a chance for Loona to socialize and come out of her shell — really is the reason that Bee invited her. Even when Bee loses a drinking contest to Blitzo, Bee is a Graceful Loser. The only time Bee actually gets angry during her debut episode is when Bee insists that Loona check on Blitzo after the drinking contest because of the bad vibes he's giving off, and Loona initially refuses to do it while insulting Bee at the same time. Bee apologizes to Vortex for her outburst after calming down, and says (sincerely) that she hopes everything works out.
  • Shown Their Work: Her sigil is that of Bael, one of the demons in the Ars Goetia. While not the same in demonology, both share their roots with the god Baal, who was declared a demon alongside all other gods not big-G God.
  • Sizeshifter: She's capable of changing her size from roughly the same height as Loona to roughly twice Blitzo's height and two heads taller than Tex. Her Super Mode is so big that Loona's entire body is only about half the size of Bee's head.
  • Shout-Out: Her insect motifs and often calling everyone "bitch" might be a reference to Hornet from Bullet Train.
  • Stealth Pun: She's a very popular ruler with a bee motif. She's the bee's knees.
  • Third Eye: She has a third eye that opens up when she gets mad and transforms into her larger self.
  • This Is for Emphasis, Bitch!: She's constantly peppering her speeches with swears and slurs, and yet all of it is meant to be taken as friendly gestures.
  • Too Much Information: Her brief conversation with Loona is rambling and loaded with oversharing, which doesn't do much to put Loona at ease.
  • Uptown Girl: She's a powerful ruler of one of the Rings of Hell who's dating an ordinary hellhound bodyguard.
  • Valley Girl: Aside from peppering her speech with swears, she tends to use "like" a lot.
  • Villainous Glutton: Downplayed. Bee is the physical embodiment of gluttony and encourages her subjects and guests to indulge in sweets, alcohol, and drugs in excess. It's no secret that she's feasting on the "vibes" of people's gluttony, but she enjoys gluttony for its own sake and not as a means of self-destruction or escapism. She also genuinely wants everyone who parties with her to be happy and nudges Loona into taking Blitzo home when it's clear that he's drinking and getting high to forget his worries rather than for the pleasure of it.
  • Villain Song: Downplayed since she's A Lighter Shade of Black, but she is still a demon- and not just any demon, but one of the Seven Deadly Sins, putting her power-wise in the same tier as Asmodeus- whose introductory song, "Cotton Candy", is all about encouraging people to overindulge on unhealthy foods and habits. As she says in her own song, "I'm what you want, not what you need."
  • Visual Pun: She's not only a literal queen bee but also literally what a queen bee type of character would typically be, an Alpha Bitch. That said, she's more of a Lovable Alpha Bitch in character rather than a stereotypical one as while she may come off as mean, she's still reasonable.
  • Wants Versus Needs: It seems to be the focus on this interpretation of the sin of Gluttony, as her song says "Im what you want, not what you need".
  • What's Up, King Dude?: For an arch-demon and queen of the gluttony ring, she is always casual and gregarious with her subjects. Everyone is welcome to party and have buckets of fun at her castle.

"I can't wait to see all the new talent I can exploit! Umm, fuck. I mean, ENJOY!"

Mammon is a spider-like demon with a distinctive Australian accent who's the Sin of Greed and ruler of the Greed Ring. Along with owning several businesses that make and/or are associated with money such as Loo Loo Land and banks, his very likeness can be found printed on Hell's currency. He's also the demon who made Fizzarolli a star when the latter won a contest to became the face of his clown brand, a thing that Mammon exploits Fizz heavily for the Sin's own profit.

  • Abusive Parents: He sees himself as Fizzarolli's father figure and financially and emotionally abuses him for his own ends. He even claims that he raised Fizz like "the son I didn't want." Humorously, Mammon was actually upfront with his intentions on becoming this when he announced the clown pageant.
Mammon: The winner will get to be like the son I never had, and I'll be like the stepdad that will love you when it's convenient!
  • Adipose Rex: He rules an entire ring and has a rounder figure than any other significant character in the series thus far. While hanging back to watch the performances at his clown pageant, he gorges himself on snacks all the while.
  • All Take and No Give: Rather fitting for someone who is basically the embodiment of greed, he lives and breathes this trope. It was stated that Mammon raked in the profits of Fizzarolli's hard work for himself. Even Fizz's childhood friend Blitzø (who is generally a Jerkass himself on top of having poor financial senses) outright said to Mammon's face that he regretted spending virtually his entire life savings on attending one of the clown's shows with Fizz as a teenager.
  • Animal Motifs: Arachnids, mainly spiders and ticks as he vaguely resembles a spider with his stout build and extra arms, can become even more arachnid-like when feeling provoked and is a financial and emotional drain on anyone who works for him. He is also seen lounging in one of the neon webs that decorate his circus and has a web pattern on its ceiling.
    • To a lesser degree sharks, as most of his ring's population are shark demons (and thus literal Loan Sharks) and the bulk of his theatre is a wrecked boat that resembles a massive shark.
  • Bad Boss: The vast majority of his debut episode is dedicated to showing how little he values Fizzarolli as an employee and mascot, which leaves one wondering just how mistreated his regular workers must be. Cases include him disregarding pretty much everything Fizzarolli had to say about his discomfort with how he was treated and feeling and using Fizzarolli as a target while throwing knives at him blindfolded. Then there’s the verbal abuse, body-shaming when he thinks Fizzarolli has gained a little weight and he doesn’t want them to change all the robofizzes to fit and threatening physical violence when Fizzarolli quits, only being stopped by the timely intervention of Asmodeus.
  • Bad Liar: He tries to convince people that he wants to help boost talent but repeatedly says his true and much less flattering thoughts and feelings.
  • Berserk Button: As might be expected from the personification of greed. Insulting him will make him mad but to make him truly furious you need to cost him money. He sat through an entire song of Fizz telling him "Fuck you" over and over (granted it was partly because he didn't realize it was about him until near the end of the song) but it wasn't until Fizz - his most profitable employee quit that he tried to do anything to stop him. And the first thing he did was go One-Winged Angel and coming this close to assaulting him live onstage in front of an entire audience which he would have if Asmodeus didn't intervene.
  • Blackmail Backfire: When confronted by an enraged Asmodeus, Mammon is quick to resort to blackmailing him about his feelings for Fizzarolli; Asmodeus turns the tables on him by going public about the relationship instead although the people of Hell pretty much knew this was very obvious anyway.
  • The Bogan: A greedy, none-too-bright Lower-Class Lout with a crude, vicious sense of humour and a thick Australian accent. He's most of the negative stereotypes of the Land Down Under stuffed into one large package.
  • Broken Pedestal: For Fizzarolli as of the end of Mammons Magnificent Mid-Season Special (ft. Fizzarolli) as the latter becomes weary of how toxic Mammon is to be around. It's implied he was also one for Blitzo, after he spent his savings on a complete fiasco of a Mammon show and apparently saw "right through [his] bullshit".
  • Classy Cane: He carries a cane topped off with a dollar symbol, fitting his Nouveau Riche Wicked Pretentious vibe.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Mammon is apparently so sure of his absolute control over Fizzarolli that he doesn't realize Fizz's over-the-top musical number (containing multiple repetitions of the phrase "fuck you") is directed at him until he's told - nor that it means Fizz doesn't work for him any more until the actual words "I quit" are uttered.
  • Composite Character: He bears resemblance to Lucifuge Rofocale, a demon from the Grand Grimoire who had a three pronged jester hat and is associated with the element of earth and the treasures within.
  • Cool Crown: Downplayed and subtle. In his current green appearance Mammon's jester hat has a darker shaded portion at his forehead resembling a crown with three spikes.
  • Country Matters: The sneak peek on the show's Twitter has him let out the c-word completely uncensored. Considering he's got an Australian accent it's fitting. The billboard advertising a clown pageant hosted by Mammon that appears towards the end of Oops also has faded text at the bottom which reads: "Be there you cunts!". He also drops the word several times in his debut episode, although due to YouTube having an issue with use of the c-word they're censored out with honks.
  • Creative Sterility: Like the stereotypical mogul Mammon doesn't create any of the things he profits from. He either makes (literally) cheap knockoffs of popular things like his Loo-Loo Land theme park or has his employees make things and then takes their earnings for himself like Fizzarolli's acts. In the true spirit of greed he always takes but never gives. Exemplified by the one show we see that he did perform: According to Blitzø all he did was play commercials, try to overwhelm the audience with clowns, bitch about taxes, vomit and pass out on stage with no indication he actually sang, played or told a single joke. As stated by Asmodeus, it has been a long time since Mammon actually performed as a clown. Everything he does is to make money off other people's talent.
  • Dissonant Laughter: During "Two Minutes Notice," he points and laughs at Fizz's decidedly unfunny verses about the abuse he'd experienced.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: His face makes its first appearance on Souls in "Loo-Loo Land".
  • Equal-Opportunity Evil: The closest thing he has to a redeemable trait; he reverses his stance on women after seeing Glitz and Glam's act, deciding that they can be funny and thus exploitable.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: While it doesn't stop him from ripping the idea off for his own use, he calls beauty pageants "fucked up".
  • Evil Has a Bad Sense of Humor: When Fizz shows an image of Mammon literally crushing him under his heel during "2 Minutes Notice" he lets out a dark laugh at it.
  • Evil Is Petty: This can't be stressed enough; Mammon has no standards and will cross any line if he can scratch up a little more money.
  • Extra Eyes: He actually has three extra pairs of eyes above his two regular ones that open up whenever he becomes more threatening.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Exaggerated. Not only is it obvious who "Two Minutes' Notice" is talking to but Asmodeus blatantly tells him to his face that he's the subject when he asks. Still it takes until Fizz name-drops him for Mammon to realize just what the song is about as he's still into it until that moment.
  • Fat Bastard: The most corpulent Sin seen thus far and a thoroughly wretched individual, Mammon openly relishes in every opportunity to overcharge his subjects and overworks, manipulates and even vaguely threatens his employees. His loud and crass mannerisms don't help matters.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He puts on an act of being a likable and charismatic clown for the cameras but it quickly becomes clear all he cares about is making money in any way possible.
  • Flashy Teleportation: Mammon tends to move about by teleporting in a flash of smoke, lightning, confetti and dollar signs while making a "cha-ching" sound.
  • Foil: To Asmodeus. Both are members of the Sins, performers and rulers of their respective rings of Hell and have a relationship with Fizz. Asmodeus is Fizz's lover, an Understanding Boyfriend and puts his relationship above all. Mammon, meanwhile is Fizz's employer and a Bad Boss who only values him for how much profit he can drag in. Additionally, while Asmodeus is the patron and embodiment of Lust he wants it to be natural and hates Love Potions for forcing the sin while Mammon has no standards regarding greed and just wants to be wealthy. Even their choice of venues for performing and acts are vastly different - Asmodeus runs a classy nightclub he personally sings at while allowing others the floor to sing (so long as it's conductive to the atmosphere) whereas Mammon runs a massive circus doubling as a place for him to advertise his own talent pageants (and thus get other people to perform for him and his own profit).
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: It's made especially clear by Asmodeus that he's hated Mammon ever since the beginning of Hell. Especially considering how he just cares about money and has relatively recently been exploiting the image of Fizzarolli (who Ozzie cares deeply for) to make a profit it's easy to understand where he's coming from. The fact Lucifer himself has apparently sought legal action against Mammon multiple times for blatantly ripping off his theme park implies the feeling might be mutually shared with him and maybe the other Sins as well.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: As ruler of the Greed Ring, Mammon runs a large web of business enterprises. Most notably, he's the owner of Loo Loo Land and more importantly, the one who made Fizzarolli into a Hell-wide star, which he's ruthlessly exploited for all it's worth. The robot versions of Fizzarolli are a result of this, making him indirectly responsible for the one Blitzø fights in "Loo Loo Land" and is the background force driving Fizzarolli's insecurities.
  • Greed: He rules the ring named after it and considering the more miserable look in contrast to other Rings it's safe to say he has no objections to letting his subjects suffer to further pad his pocketbooks. Similarly, his treatment of Fizzarolli as his main brand shows he only cares about exploiting him to get rich. He in fact stands out from the other Sins for this: whereas Asmodeus and Beelzebub are more interested in ensuring that others indulge in their signature vices first and Lucifer is likewise hinted to be teaching his daughter to take pride in herself Mammon instead seems to solely care about indulging himself in his signature vice and shows no signs of caring whether or not others indulge in their own greed.
  • Greed Makes You Dumb: Mammon's greed leads him to overwork Fizzarolli out of a desire to squeeze every cent out of his popularity. This causes Fizz to quit in a way that massively humiliates Mammon, while also losing Mammon his star act.
  • Green and Mean: Is primarily colored green and not a very nice person at all.
  • Giant Spider: His fully demonic form is this, though still with many elements of his jester outfit.
  • Happy Harlequin Hat: Sports a three pronged one, each prong is topped off with a dollar sign shaped tassle.
  • High-Heel Power: The curly boots Mammon wears as part of his jester motif have high heels.
  • Holiday Motif: While it's mostly restricted to his design, he resembles a Christmas tree and was teased on social media specifically in reference to the upcoming Australian Christmas. As Christmas is one of the most commercialized holidays, it matches his nature of turning anything he can into a cash cow.
  • Hypocrite: Seemingly subverted. He berates the very spindly Fizz for supposedly gaining a few pounds despite he himself being perhaps the fattest character in the series. However, he clarifies he's only criticizing Fizzarolli because the public prefers skinny Robo Fizzes.
  • In-Universe Nickname: In "Oops" Asmodeus first refers to him as Mam when talking to Fizzarolli.
  • Irony: The guy dressed as a harlequin jester not only can't tell a joke worth laughing at but lacks the self awareness and analytical wit of most traditional jesters and is genuinely so self absorbed he can't take being the butt of a joke.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: He gives Fizz some time to "get his shit together" after Arick causes him to have a panic attack... but then quickly makes it very clear he only wants this so Fizz can get back to performing as soon as possible and doesn't actually give a shit about his health.
  • Jerkass: Mammon is a greedy fatass and douchebag who is given no Freudian Excuse for his actions and presented with the expectation that the audience will dislike him. He abuses Fizz, is obnoxious to others and does not care who he hurts in the name of profit. Adding to this is his lack of standards, the Sins we've met all believe that you should Do Wrong, Right — Asmodeus believes Lust should be natural instead not forced, Beelzebub prefers that gluttony be for its own sake rather than forgetting woes and what we hear from Charlie about her dad implies he only respects pride that is honestly earned. Mammon however, ignores all of this by embodying greed at its worst — he wants and desires whatever he can acquire, does not care how many suffer for it and seems to want more just because.
  • Laughably Evil: He's a colossal asshole but his cartoonish and incredibly casual crassness makes him at least somewhat amusing when he isn't directly threatening Fizzarolli's livelihood. The fact his jolly and energetic demeanor is completely genuine (at least most of the time) helps.
  • Leitmotif: A lot of his scenes are accompanied by a rock guitar rendition of the beginning of Habanera.
  • Light Is Not Good: In the past Mammon donned a nearly white costume reminiscent of his present one and was as rotten as he is in the present day.
  • Like a Son to Me: A somewhat twisted take. When he first announces his pageant Mammon promises the winner will be "like the son [he] never had", while he would be like "the stepdad who loves [them] when it's convenient". He repeats this warped analogy to Fizzarolli throughout the episode, culminating in their final confrontation where Mammon angrily claims to have "raised [Fizz] like the son [he] didn't want."
  • Mammon: He is the very embodiment of why wealth can be so corrupt. He will do whatever it makes to make a buck be it ripping off the ideas of his fellow sins or abusing his subordinates until they are in a position he is satisfied with.
  • Monster Clown: Fitting in with the Sins' circus theme Mammon resembles a jester and is one of the supreme rulers of Hell. The "monster" part being literal as a demon is a bonus. According to Asmodeus (who was there for the very start of Hell), Mammon was apparently also an actual clown before but long since stopped to focus on money grubbing.
  • Morally Bankrupt Banker: Runs the "Moneymakerz Bank" and is shown to be the most vile member of the Seven Deadly Sins introduced so far.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: He has four arms and is a very powerful demon who rules over the Greed ring.
  • Multi-Armed Multitasking: He is often seen using his four arms do to different things. For instance, in a poster, he can be seen playing a guitar with two of his arms and singing into a microphone with another.
  • Oblivious to Hatred: Evidently was not aware of the fact that Fizz had pent up resentment toward him until he quit. Even when Fizz is singing a whole song about how much he hates Mammon, and making it fairly obvious that it's about him, along with Asmodeus directly telling him it's about him, Mammon happily claps along until Fizz directly name drops him...near the end of the song.
  • Oblivious to Their Own Description: When Fizz is singing about quitting Mammon doesn't figure out he's singing about how much of a Bad Boss he is and how much he hates him until Fizz specifically name-drops him... at the end of the song. This is despite Fizz using wording such as "Suck it greedy bastard!" and "You're a fucking ass clown!" as well as visually depicting Mammon's abuse in his performance. To top it all off Asmodeus directly told Mammon the song was about him when it started but he apparently didn't catch it.
  • One-Winged Angel: When Fizz announces that he quits through a song and even states it outright to Mammon's face, Mammon takes on a much bigger form with spider legs.
  • Pet the Dog: As detestable as he is, he rethinks his previous ideology that women aren't funny after seeing the Glam sisters' performance.
  • Playing Card Motifs: The diamond symbol, usually associated with wealth covers most of Mammon's jester suit.
  • Pointy-Haired Boss: He apparently used to be a decent enough clown to become popular, but not only are his sense of self-awareness and public speaking skills dead in the water, his sense of comedy has long-since atrophied into quantity over quality. The state of his shows before Fizz raised the bar were literally just him putting on a commercial for his products and then literally throwing clowns at people in lieu of actual performances and comedy. Even his business skills are beyond help, with his attempts to be as cheap as possible leading to bizarre consolidations like having his mascots pushed simultaneously as children's icons, teenage role models and adult sex symbols.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Zigzagged.
    • In his first scene he claims he believes that women can't succeed in entertainment and are naturally unfunny, however this happens in a flashback and in the present a pair of twin sisters have become finalists in Mammon's clown pageants; later he outright says he retracts his earlier claims though the honesty of this is left up in the air.
    • He also fat shames Fizz as soon as he thinks he might be getting even a little soft around the middle but tries to justify it as this being the public's own tastes that he has to cater to for money's sake. It's still morally bankrupt but left up in the air whether the bigotry's his own or it's just soulless greed doing its thing.
  • Pragmatic Villainy:
    • Mammon is at least willing to put on a facade of having concern for his underlings' health and/or safety, but only because he values their ability to make a profit for him. Case in point, him letting Fizz take a moment to cool down after Arick confronts him which starts out seemingly genuine only for Mammon to make it very clear that he only wants Fizz to keep performing for him.
    • Like Ozzie and Bee he's willing to let anyone of any social standing attend his events, but obviously so he can get more money (and only if they can pay).
    • He's angry once he realizes "Two Minutes Notice" and all its insults were being directed at him but he doesn't actually do anything beyond angrily munching popcorn when he notices how much the crowd loved the song. It's only once Fizzarolli quits that he starts getting violent.
  • Scary Teeth: His mouth is filled with several big, sharp fangs. And if you thought they looked scary on those dollar bills then you'll find they are much worse looking when you see them in person.
  • Seven Deadly Sins: He's the embodiment of Greed and ruler of the Greed Ring.
  • Shock and Awe: Green electricity starts surging around his body when he's sufficiently angry, turns into his full demon form or teleports around, often accompanied by thick green smoke.
  • Sigil Spam: Practically all products and businesses that are closely associated with Mammon are plastered with his face.
  • Significant Wardrobe Shift: When he's first seen in a flashback about fifteen years ago his outfit is bright silver like a coin. In the present day he's switched to a green and black one that brings to mind both a US dollar bill and a tarnished coin.
  • Sinister Scythe: His spider legs in his full demon form look like scythes.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Even for a show where swearing is fairly common Mammon has a notably filthier mouth than the average character, complete with being the only one to involve Country Matters. It very much fits with the whole Bogan stereotype he seems to be projecting.
  • Spider People: He's a spider demon based on his multiple limbs, extra eyes that occasionally show and the giant web he sits high upon in his theater. When assuming a more gigantic, threatening form this becomes more apparent as his lower half transforms to a spider abdomen complete with eight sinister looking arachnid legs.
  • Stealth Pun: The king of greed looks like a walking tree, specifically a "money tree".
  • Token Evil Teammate: Mammon is the only sin seen so far to be a genuinely evil person and Asmodeus outright hates him.
  • Truer to the Text: Ironically, among the Sins shown so far Mammon is the one who behaves most like how people would expect an embodiment of sin to; reveling in it to the limit without regard for propriety or personal standards. He'll do anything if he thinks he'll make money off of it, including simultaneously marketing Fizzarolli as a children's entertainer and sex symbol.
  • Unexplained Accent: Much like Crimson he's a Hellborn demon with an Earth accent, this time a broad Australian one, made only more egregious by the fact that he's been around since the beginning of Hell itself.
  • Villain in a White Suit: When Fizzarolli went to his concert for the first time he is seen wearing a white suit that makes him look a lot like a snow-covered pine tree.
  • Villainous Breakdown: He really doesn't take Fizz quitting well to put it mildly.
Mammon (gone One-Winged Angel): YOU FUCKING UNGRATEFUL LITTLE SHIT! I gave you EVERYTHING! You're practically in my image! I RAISED YOU LIKE THE SON I DIDN'T WANT!
  • Yellow Lightning, Blue Lightning: The electricity he generates is chartreuse in color.

    Asmodeus, Sin of Lust

"Give me a thrust
Yeah, show me some lust

In desire, we trust
In the house of Asmodeus!"

"Lust shouldn't be about force. It's an art, to be earned and enjoyed."

Also known as Ozzie, Asmodeus is a rooster-like demon who's the Sin of Lust and ruler over the Lust Ring. He is also a king of the Ars Goetia. Along with ruling the ring, he runs his own personal night club and is responsible for providing the many copies of Robo Fizz throughout Hell.

  • Actor Allusion: This isn't the first time James Monroe Iglehart has played a powerful, theatrical, larger-than-life character associated with neon colors.
  • Actually Pretty Funny: At the end of "Mammon's Magnificent Musical Mid-season Special", Blitzo intrudes on a private moment between Asmodeus and Fizzarolli by asking, "So, um...who tops?" While Fizzarolli looks mildly annoyed, Asmodeus just grins.
  • Affably Evil: Though he can be a bit of a jerk when making fun of others, in "Oops" when Stolas visits him, Asmodeus is nothing if not accommodating and greets him in a friendly manner and pulls out a chair for him, even if he’s a bit dismissive of the nature of Stolas’ request (Stolas wanted an asmodean crystal for I.M.P). He also insists on personal matters being private, at least concerning Fizzarolli and Blitzo’s shared past.
  • Affectionate Nickname: His boyfriend Fizzarolli calls him "Oz", "Ozzie", and "Big Daddy".
  • Agent Peacock: Asmodeus is a showy and flamboyantly sexual guy who wears brightly-colored clothing and high heels... but he's also the embodiment of lust and one of the most powerful demons in Hell.
  • Allergic to Love: Zigzagged a bit. He puts on the image of somebody who despises the sight of genuine romance in front of him, getting practically disgusted by it, and he strongly hints at possessing a genuine Blue-and-Orange Morality wherein lust, no matter the consequences, is a good thing, but his romantic affection towards colleague Fizzarolli is considered the worst-kept secret in Hell. Despite being the owner of the very establishment he set up the "no romance" rules for this strongly implies this is less him disliking romance genuinely and more like he's got a reputation as the living embodiment of lust that he needs to uphold instead, since he only shows this side of him when the crowd is distracted by Moxxie's singing and dancing. It's also likely that, as the proprietor of Ozzie's, he doesn't actually hate the concept of romance, he's simply trying to enforce the rules of the establishment; that is, no romance songs allowed, only songs about sex.
    • Fully subverted by Season 2, where it's shown that Asmodeus' relationship with Fizzarolli behind the scenes is completely genuine, tender and loving. He even fervently opposes the idea of love potions, believing that lust is something that should be consenting and mutually enjoyed. For as much as he is the Sin of Lust, he just as much embodies and enjoys the concept of love.
  • Always a Bigger Fish:
    • Specifically in regards to Stolas. Up until his first appearance, Stolas as a member of the Goetia was the strongest and most influential demon to consistently interact with the main crew, as best demonstrated in "Truth Seekers". Asmodeus, meanwhile, is a demon Embodiment of Vice who's in a weight class just below Lucifer, the king of Hell, and so can get away with joking/insulting Stolas to his face while the latter can only act uncharacteristically meek and just roll with it. He is also the only villain to induce a straight-up Downer Ending through assisting Fizzarolli in dumping on Blitzo's failed love life. And in the true canon of the Ars Goetia, he holds the rank of King whereas Stolas is "just" a Prince.
    • This is turned on its head in season 2, where Asmodeus, while still powerful, doesn't command the same respect or fear as the other Sins. Crimson mocks him for being the weakest of the Deadly Sins after kidnapping Fizzarolli, implying that for all Ozzie's power, he's seen as weak in the cutthroat environment of Hell (similar to Charlie in Hazbin Hotel).
  • Ambiguously Bi: He has a very flamboyant dress sense (including heels), has No Sense of Personal Space, and is in a very close relationship with Fizzarolli, but in his song he cites "a groin or a bust" as topics of discussion for an Intercourse with You song. Plus being the avatar of the Deadly Sin of Lust as a concept means it would make more sense for him to swing both ways.
  • Ambiguous Situation:
    • Asmodeus is described by Fizzarolli as the embodiment of lust, though whether that's literal or just a title (both officially and unofficially) is up for debate.
    • It has not been explicitly confirmed that he is a demon of the Ars Goetia, only that he's one of the Seven Deadly Sins, but it is implied. He's one in mythical canon, has a Goetic Seal on the runway of his nightclub, and he and Stolas seem to know each other personally, with Stolas refering to him as "Sire" in "Oops", which is normally used to address kings, which is confirmed by Crimson, who calls Asmodeus a king outright.
    • Stolas reminds and warns Ozzie that as one of the Seven Deadly Sins, his pacts are binding. It's not mentioned whether this means Ozzie's standing and position makes him held up to a higher legal standard, or if instead it's because his demonic pacts as a deadly sin are more binding.
    • As mentioned above, Crimson mocks Asmodeus for being the weakest of the Seven Deadly Sins. But then, when Asmodeus confronts Mammon, Mammon first tries to blackmail him, then backs down when that fails. It's not clear if Crimson was wrong, if Crimson was right but even the weakest of the Seven Deadly Sins is powerful enough that a smart being doesn't get into fights with them lightly, if Crimson wasn't talking about raw power but about having an exploitable "weakness" like love (something Crimson himself very much does not respect), or if Crimson was just insulting a powerful being he believed he had at a disadvantage with no regard to accuracy at all.
  • Animal Motifs:
    • Roosters, which embody (among other things) sexuality, masculinity, pride, and strength. In Asian cultures, roosters embody good luck and prosperity. This is fitting for the show's embodiment of Lust and one of the most powerful demons around, but also ironic as he isn't on the side of good, either. Also, it's Double Entendre
    • He also seems to take after moths to an extent, having two prominent feathery antenna on his hat and a more rounded head and tamer fluff to his collar when he's in his smaller form that make him resemble an anthropomorphic moth. Not only are moths known to be night-time pollenators and thus symbols of fertility, but the phrase "moth to a flame" is often used as a metaphor for equal parts Love at First Sight and a dangerous attraction.
  • Asmodeus: The one and only personification of lust himself. He embodies pretty much the entire description for him from the Ars Goetia, having a Multiple Head Case composed of a rooster, bull, and ram, managing to be Hot as Hell despite the animalistic form, employing an entire Red Light District worth of Succubi and Incubi, and encouraging rampant satisfying of carnal desires for the flesh regardless of consequence. His depiction in Helluva Boss also draws on other parts such as the sigil in his club being accurate to the literature and his being a high-ranking King compared to Stolas' middle-ranking Prince.
  • Bad Boss: Downplayed. At the end of "Oops", he threatens his employees, telling them that if they tell anyone about his and Fizzarolli's relationship, he'll break them. This is more of a personal topic than anything else, and it's also the only moment of actual tyranny he shows.
  • Benevolent Boss: Downplayed. Asmodeus reacts with shock when Millie knocks Fizzarolli out, and spends the rest of the episode cradling him in his arms making sure he’s okay, even after Fizzarolli has regained consciousness. He also doesn't seem to mind his subordinates goofing around in his factories, like not addressing some succubi fencing with sextoys.
  • Beta Couple: Like Stolas, he is a nobleman in a relationship with an imp, in his case Fizzarolli. Unlike Stolas with Blitzo, his relationship with Fizz is completely stable and lacking in any transactional elements.
  • Bigger Is Better in Bed: Fizzarolli goes into great detail about the size of Asmodeus'...rooster, much to Blitzo's irritation. Fittingly, they're also suggested to have a very healthy sex life, to go along with their poorly-kept-secret romance.
  • Big Guy, Little Guy: The Big Guy to Fizzarolli's Little Guy.
  • Bishōnen Line: His monstrous form is considerably less, well, monstrous compared to Bee and Mammon's. Instead of growing extra limbs or eyes or becoming more like the animal he shares a motif with, he simply becomes larger and his flames become white hot.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: He seems to view self-indulgent and even self-destructive lust as superior to genuine romance, as shown by how he praises Stolas for throwing away any semblance of a healthy marriage by sleeping with Blitzo and is disgusted by Moxxie and Millie's heartfelt, sentimental love for each other. Or, as described in Allergic to Love above, at least this is how he likes to present himself; there are some hints that this might just be a persona he puts on in public to maintain his reputation as an Embodiment of Vice or that he's simply just trying to enforce the rules of the lounge in particular. This is seemingly confirmed in "Oops" where he tells Stolas in private that he detests forceful lust and sees true lust as an art to be enjoyed the whole way through.
  • Bright Is Not Good: He's dressed in flamboyant neon colors fitting of someone who runs a Red Light District.
  • Burning with Anger: As revealed in "Oops", when he gets angry, his feathers turn into flames.
  • Clark Kent Outfit: Zigzagged. Asmodeus is not a straight hero by any means, given he's the Sin of Lust, but he's an Affably Evil demon in a loving relationship with Fizzarolli. And while he's shown to be somewhat muscular in his clothing, "Oops" shows how truly ripped he is, particularly his arms.
  • Cocky Rooster: He's an incredibly boisterous and masculine demon with an animal motif of a rooster.
  • Demon Lords And Arch Devils: He's one of the Seven Deadly Sins that rule over the rings of Hell. His influence and power are enough to mock Stolas himself to his face for sleeping with an imp and get away with it.
  • Dimensional Traveler: Since the entire job of concubi is to lure humans with their own sexual desire, it naturally stands to reason that Asmodeus' workers all have legal access to Earth, done so with Asmodean Crystals. When Stolas wants help with his relationship with Blitzo, he asks if Asmodeus can give Blitzo an Asmodean crystal so he doesn't need the grimoire to go to Earth anymore.
  • Dropping the Bombshell: Delivers this to Stolas during his song, theatrically declaring to everyone in the club that the Prince sold his life of happiness with his family for sex with a lower-class imp.
  • Ethical Slut: To the point where not being the "Ethical" part is a Berserk Button for him. As seen in his page quote, he strongly believes that lust is best enjoyed organically and consensually. His first assumption when Stolas shows up is that he believes Stolas wants him to craft a love potion for use on Blitz and point-blank refuses to have any part in it.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: When Millie bashes Fizzarolli on the head, Asmodeus is shocked and cradles Fizz. The two are later seen embracing when Moxxie finishes his song. This is hammered home in "Oops" where the two are shown in a committed relationship with Asmodeus willing to do anything to get Fizzarolli back safely, including signing a contract without reading it (said contract would have effectively made him a pauper and not given him Fizzarolli back). Apparently this even extends to Ozzie being uncomfortable with his factories pumping out sex toys with Fizz's likeness on them, even though he's the king of lust and is already very sexual with Fizz anyway.
  • Even Evil Has Standards:
    • When he thought Stolas came to him for a love potion, he was legitimately mad. He believes Lust should be mutually enjoyed and not forced, implying he also hates the idea of rape.
Asmodeus: Lust shouldn't be about force. It's an art, to be earned and enjoyed.
    • While Asmodeus is the sin of Lust, he genuinely hates the sin of Greed Mammon and how he treats Fizzarolli as his main brand character and despises having to make the Fizzarolli sex robots for him.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: He tells Millie and Moxxie to Get Out! in a deep demonic voice.
  • Feathered Fiend: He's essentially a giant demonic rooster.
  • Flaming Devil: While he's not quite as effeminate as some examples of this trope, he's flamboyantly sexual, wears brightly colored clothing and high heels, and is heavily implied to have a thing with Fizzarolli.
  • Florence Nightingale Effect: It's heavily implied that his relationship with Fizzarolli began this way based on how he personally attended Fizzarolli's wounds and cybernetic limbs himself.
  • Forbidden Love: Being the representative of lust, he pretty much can't be seen being romantically involved with anyone lest he be condemned as a hypocrite, which makes the fact that he's in a happy relationship with Fizzarolli problematic, though none of his employees are willing to oust him publicly out of fear for what he'll do to them. It's a different matter with the press, and the Goetia. That said, it's a rather open secret given how affectionate he is with the jester in public. He willingly announces it in public when Mammon threatens to use it as blackmail to keep Fizzarolli by his side.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Downplayed. While he's certaintly not a one-man operation, he has a very direct involvement in the design and creation process of his products, and they range from the more predictable sex toys, to cybernetic prosthetics like Fizzarolli's limbs.
  • Groin Attack: He makes an indirect threat by telling Fizzarolli that he will break anyone who tries to publicly out their relationship (higher-class demons are forbidden from having sexual or romantic relations with imps) and punctuates this by punching a fountain statuette of a man in the groin. His observing imp subordinates quickly get the message and flee the scene.
  • HA HA HA—No: Drops the trope name when Fizzarolli offers to cook breakfast again.
  • Hat of Authority: While on the job, Asmodeus wears a tall red and black top hat.
  • He Is Not My Boyfriend: He and Fizzarolli assert to the public that their relationship is purely professional and sexual and in no way genuinely romantic, given Asmodeus' public image is somebody who detests love and is more interested in sex. That said, the two eventually lighten up on this, allowing their employees to see them being affectionate under the pretense that they understand what Asmodeus will do to them if they reveal it, and later on Asmodeus announces it publically himself that he loves Fizzarolli when Mammon threatens to use it as blackmail.
  • Heroic Build: "Oops" shows that his upperbody is a perfect V-shape with very narrow hips, and he is ripped!
  • Hidden Depths: For a flamboyant personification of the sin of Lust, he apparently has impressive skills in robotics as according to Fizzarolli he designed the Robo-Fizz robots and is implied to have also made Fizzarolli's cybernetic limbs. He probably uses this skill on the job too, as some of the sex toys he manufactures have rather complex blueprints.
  • High-Heel Power: Asmodeus has small pumps on his shoes, and he is one of the most powerful creatures in Hell, ranking just below the royal family.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: A same-sex example. He towers over pretty much everyone, especially his imp lover, Fizzarolli.
  • Hypocrite Has a Point: While Asmodeus is the last person who has the right to humiliate Stolas for following passionate desires over monogamous stability, he isn't necessarily wrong about Stolas being the architect of his marriage's hitting rock bottom by sleeping with Blitzo, a lower-class imp. Later Downplayed after Season 2 makes it clear that he doesn't know the full truth about Stolas and Stella's marriage, specifically that Stolas was forced into it against his will and that Stella was abusive towards him long before he began his affair with Blitzo.
  • Hypocritical Humor:
    • His introductory Villain Song is him shaming Moxxie for singing a genuine love song in his club, preferring fulfilling base desires over romantic fulfillment. Then when he sees Stolas, he kicks the dog by bringing up how he sabotaged his stable home life for his passionate affair with an imp. And all of this is peppered with small acts of tenderness toward Fizzarolli, despite claiming to be averse to romance.
    • Despite encouraging Moxxie to revise his love song to be "graphic and tactfully long," his own vocabulary during his Villain Song never goes above PG-13 levels in content. He instead delegates the more vulgar verses to Fizzarolli.
  • In-Series Nickname: Aside from Asmodeus, he also goes by Ozzie, which his club is named after.
  • Irony: He criticizes Moxxie for singing a song about a loving relationship at a club about lust on the basis it's not the appropriate mood. When he spots Stolas and Blitzo, who are in a relationship more fitting of the club, he's discouraging of them.
  • Jabba Table Manners: In "Oops", he devours an entire bowl of phallic and yonic candies rather messily, even licking his hands shortly after finishing.
  • Jagged Mouth: All three of Ozzie's heads have serrated silhouettes for mouths, with the main one glowing green to match his eyes.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While Asmodeus can be pretty rough around the edges, especially when trying to keep up his appearance as a romance hating demon, he's not unreasonable, as he's almost always shown to be a Reasonable Authority Figure, and is a loving and protective boyfriend to Fizzarrolli.
  • Large and in Charge: He's an incredibly massive demon—the largest character we've seen in the setting, in fact—who's in charge of the Lust Ring.
  • Large Ham: Calling his behavior "exaggerated" is an understatement. His every word and every move is part of the performance to him.
  • Love Makes You Dumb: In spite of a stated preference for lust, claiming that lust is superior to love, he very obviously loves Fizzarrolli and he was willing to sign away large quantities of his wealth over to Crimson without reading the paperwork when Crimson holds Fizz for ransom, even though the initial draft gave Crimson the right to kill Fizz and mount his head on a wall.
  • Lust Makes You Dumb: This seems to be his definition of lust, pursuing short-term pleasures and desire without thinking of the consequences. He actually praises Stolas for ruining his family life just to have sex with Blitzo, much to the prince's mortification.
  • Many-Faced Divinity: Asmodeus is the Anthropomorphic Personification of lust, and has a primary head with two secondary faces on either side.
  • Mayfly–December Romance: In "Mammons Magnificient Musical Midseason Special Ft Fizzarolli", Asmodeus mentions having known Mammon since before Hell was formed, so it stands to reason that he's several millenia older than his lover Fizzarolli.
  • Mr. Fanservice: He has a deep, pleasant sounding voice as well as sensual body language, and even briefly begins to pole-dance in his Villain Song. In OOPS, he's seen naked in bed with Fizzarolli, which conveniently shows off that he is built.
  • Multiple Head Case: The silhouetted ram and bull skulls floating in his mane appear to be extra heads, as they change expression as he does... and occasionally counter to it, as they’re both surprised when Ozzie angrily tells Moxxie and Millie to leave.
  • Muscles Are Meaningful: Equipped with a Heroic Build and can easily crush stone with a single punch.
  • No Sense of Personal Space: When he harasses Moxxie, he violates his personal space multiple times, and that doesn't even go into the way he and Fizzarolli interact. Considering who he is, this could just be normal for him.
  • Open Secret: Him and Fizzarolli being a lovey dovey couple is outright stated to be the worst kept secret in Hell. Ozzie's employees in particular very much know the full extent of their boss's relationship however they keep their mouths shut anyway else they'll incur Asmodeus' wrath which he makes very abundantly clear to them. It ceases to become a secret in "Mammon's Magnificent Musical", when Asmodeus publically acknowledges it to stop Mammon from using it as blackmail material.
  • The Performer King: Asmodeus is one of the Seven Embodiments of Sin and Ruler of the Lust Ring of Hell, and clearly loves to get up on stage in his own nightclub to perform bombastic, sexually-charged song numbers.
  • The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: For the embodiment of lust, his lyrics in "House of Asmodeus" are surprisingly PG, with Fizz having the more explicitly sexual lines.
  • Precision F-Strike:
  • Properly Paranoid: He repeatedly offers an escort for Fizzarolli for his upcoming trip to the Greed Ring since one of its’ cities is literally called “Ransom”. Considering the kind of people inhabiting the ring, like Crimson, he’s right to be worried.
  • Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: Implied. He hates forceful lust, thinking Stolas wants a love potion and telling him off for it. While rape isn't directly mentioned, it's not unlikely he sees it the same way.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: Despite his huge, hulking build, he appears to be wearing a rather effeminate high heel/thigh high combo, dresses in vivid, flamboyant colors otherwise, and has no problem with sensual singing or suggestive dance moves.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: While he's definitely rough around the edges, his actions are more reasonable than one might expect. He owns the club and let Moxxie perform in the first place. When Moxxie sings a love song that goes against the club's image, he gives the imp a chance to revise it, and at the end when Millie has physically assaulted his friend/lover, he still lets Moxxie finish the song and simply yells at them to Get Out! afterward. At that point, most demons would have had them killed and even many human club owners would have had them physically thrown out the second someone broke their rules.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Asmodeus is the ruler of the Lust Ring, and he seemingly owns and operates all the factories producing sex toys in Hell, tests and designs products and runs a high end nightclub. A very hands-on owner to say the least.
  • Seven Deadly Sins: He's the demonic embodiment of Lust and appropriately rules over the Lust Ring of Hell.
  • Ship Tease: He and Fizzarolli are shown to be pretty close, though nothing is said about their relationship outside of them clearly enjoying the other's company, which isn't helped by the fact that they operate a night club that is explicitly against romantic attachments. It's later revealed that the two of them are actually in a relationship, with it being an Open Secret that the staff know about but don't publicly bring up to avoid suffering his wrath.
  • Shown Their Work: His character, both in personal image and through the design of his club, references all the different depictions of Asmodeus.
    • Asmodeus in demonology has 3 heads, one of a human, bull and ram. Asmodeus in the show has shadows on the side of his mane resembling a bull and ram.
    • He also resembles a rooster, an animal that is associated with the sin of Lust. Additionally, Asmodeus in lore was said to have rooster attributes, albeit only his legs.
    • The sigil on the runway of his nightclub even accurately matches his Ars Goetia sigil.
  • Sophisticated as Hell: Ozzie's voice, mannerisms, and aesthetic wouldn't be out of place in a Broadway production... except, of course, for the subject matter.
  • Sweet Tooth: Implied by the amounts of sweets (candy, whipped cream and donuts) in Asmodeus' home and that he casually wolfs down a goblet of candy while Stolas is visiting, even licking his own hand.
  • Thinking Up Portals: Though he's not the only one of the Sins who has displayed the ability to teleport, his ability for it is the most pronounced. Stolas goes to him to get a crystal to allow Blitzo to travel to the surface without Stolas' grimoire, as Asmodeus controls the trade of that resource. He even casually pops his head out of a portal behind Mammon to point out who Fizzarolli's "Fuck You" song is about.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: While he has decently long and thick legs that downplay it a bit, his decently large and muscular torso is contrasted by a rather small pelvis.
  • Uptown Girl: Asmodeus is one of the Seven Deadly Sins who rules over the Ring of Lust, while his boyfriend Fizzarolli is a common imp.
  • Villain Song: He is introduced with the villain song "House of Asmodeus", singing about how Moxxie's genuine love song is unwelcome in his house of lust and selfish desires.
  • Villainy-Free Villain: He never actually does anything villainous during his screen time. He's actually reasonable beyond the point most humans would have lost their temper. The worst thing he does is embarrass Moxxie and call Stolas out for cheating on his wife with an imp.
  • Virility Carpet: Sports one to further emphasize his status as the Sin of Lust.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: A gender Inverted and same sex example. Asmodeus is fiercely protective of his lover Fizzarolli. In "Ozzie's", what made him truly angry at Millie and Moxxie is because the former smashed Fizz over the head with a guitar. He reacts angrily when Moxxie's estranged father Crimson holds Fizz for ransom in "Oops" and can barely hold back his murderous rage at Crimson's sleazy lawyer. When Mammon's about to attack Fizz for quitting his terrible employment Ozzie immediately comes to his defense in One-Winged Angel form.
  • Visual Pun: It seems appropriate that the ruler of the Ring of Lust would resemble a gigantic rooster, or in other words, a really big cock. Furthermore, he's the only Sin who has almost no visual alteration beyond size and coloration when he takes his true form, meaning all he does is get bigger and hotter.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Despite his extremely intimidating appearance and towering over every other demon, his normal speaking voice is very friendly and laid-back. This goes away whenever he gets angry.
  • Voice of the Legion: Normally his three heads speak in a single relatively normal voice, but when he tells Moxxie and Millie to GET THE FUCK OUT of his club he gains a menacing reverb. And again when intercepting an angry Mammon to protect Fizz.
  • Wicked Heart Symbol: Fitting for the demonic embodiment of Lust, a number of heart symbols can be found on his attire. Likewise, heart décor can be found adorned throughout his domain with it being most prominent with his personal night club.
  • Wreathed in Flames: His Full Demon form has his feathers, collar and cuffs turn into massive vibrant flames.
  • Your Size May Vary: Although Ozzie is consistently one of the largest cast members, if not the largest, how much he towers over Fizz and Moxxie can change between shots. It's later shown he can adjust his size at will, explicitly displayed when he has to get smaller just to fit through a doorway.

    Leviathan, Sin of Envy
The Sin of Envy and ruler of the Envy Ring.
  • Bad Influencer: Implied. One of the apps on Blitzo's phone is a TikTok parody called EnVee, which could indicate that Leviathan is a social media personality.
  • The Ghost: While Vivziepop confirmed Leviathan's existence on Twitter, Leviathan is unique compared to the other six sins since they have never actually been referenced by name in both "Hazbin Hotel" and "Helluva Boss".
  • Sea Serpent: Vivziepop has confirmed on twitter that Leviathan will have a more traditional design than most other sins, essentially confirming that this applies.
  • Seven Deadly Sins: The embodiment of Envy and ruler of the Envy Ring.

    Belphegor, Sin of Sloth

Also known as Belle, Belphegor is the Sin of Sloth and ruler over the Sloth Ring.

  • Beleaguered Benefactor: Belle apparently has a stash of drugs that Bee steals constantly to fuel her parties.
  • Connected All Along: The "Hazbin Hotel" episode, "Dad Beat Dad", reveals that Charlie has Belphegor's contact information, implying that they already know each other.
  • Gender Flip: In most theology and demonology, Belphegor is male, but Bee casually mentions that Belphegor, or Belle as she calls her, is also a girl in the show.
  • In-Universe Nickname: In "Queen Bee", Beelzebub refers to her as "Belle".
  • Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: Implied. Hell's only known hospital is located in the Sloth Ring, Blitzo's phone has an app for sleep aids colored in Sloth's signature pink, Stolas' antidepressants have Belphegor's name on them and Bee comments that Belphegor has a stash of drugs she often steals from. All of this implies that Belphegor is Hell's primary medical authority, and a shifty one considering the bad practices in the hospitals such as it taking over five years to get an appointment just for a single hellbies shot.
  • Seven Deadly Sins: The embodiment of Sloth and ruler of the Sloth Ring.
  • Sloth: Belphegor is the sin of Sloth herself and runs Hell's only known hospital. However, the hospital shows signs of Sloth such as it taking five years to schedule a single Hellbies shot despite needing it once every year and the receptionist being lazy at her job which pisses Blitzo off so much that he almost tried to kill her because he was already in such a bad mood.

Alternative Title(s): Hellaverse Seven Deadly Sins
