Why do each of the characters have an individual Seven Deadly Sins entry and not just one entry for all of them in the general folder? They each fall under for obvious reasons and it's the whole reason they're all grouped together

Mammon's expanded Seven Deadly Sins entry detailing how, leaving aside that he's the literal embodiment of Greed in a physical Sins troupe, he also himself exhibits all seven vices in his personality, was previously deleted, and is now under discussion here. Do others think it should be restored or not?

Here it is:

  • Seven Deadly Sins: He's the embodiment of Greed and ruler of the Greed Ring.
    • Lust: He marketed the Robo Fizzarolli's as sex bots among other things, and he has two personalized Fizz sex bots for himself that he likes to have on either (set of) arms as he lounges; all this despite how uncomfortable the real Fizz is with it, and it's strongly hinted during the "2 Minutes Notice" song that he probably sexually abused the real Fizz directly.
    • Gluttony: The only time that he's shown eating, he pigs out on snacks and junk food, and he has a very corpulent figure compared to Asmodeus and Beelzebub.
    • Sloth: He apparently hasn't done any performances of his own in a long time, instead getting others like Fizzarolli and his other clown pageant competitors to do all the on-stage acts and music for him, while he lounges back and watches the shows. Even his "concert" in the flashback was nothing more than an overhyped commercial by him, followed by him throwing a literal horde of clowns on the audience.
    • Wrath: He explodes with fury when Fizz quits and tells Mammon where he can stick it, it's made clear that he would've attacked Fizz if not for his fellow Sin Ozzie coming to Fizz's defence. And unlike Bee, Mammon heavily implies that he's going to hold a grudge against both of them for this slight going forward, and he might try to ruin them himself.
    • Envy: On account of his Creative Sterility, he shamelessly rips off other demons' successful brands, like Lucifer's far more successful Lu Lu World theme park in the Pride Ring, which led to Lucifer suing Mammon.
    • Pride: As described under Envy, he had the gall to cross the most powerful demon in all of Hell by nakedly ripping off one of his successful products. Furthermore, Mammon is genuinely surprised when he finally realizes (and only after the lyrics near the end spell it out) that the "fuckhead" Fizz is disparaging in the "2 Minutes Notice" number is him, despite all the obvious hints, and he still can't comprehend after the fact that he was enough of a Bad Boss for Fizz to hold so much pent-up resentment towards him; ranting that he gave Fizz everything in a way which makes it clear Mammon doesn't acknowledge any of the many things he did wrong by Fizz that could outweigh the perks.

Is there some reason that the trope doesn't apply? It seems to explain fairly well how Mammon exemplifies those vices. Although the first line should reflect that he also exhibits the other six vices as well.

Also, this is a tangentially related nitpick, but is Lucifer considered a demon? He's a fallen angel. Is that just like an overlap kind of a thing? Like all fallen angels are also considered demons.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!

^ I asked GDGame who deleted it why they did so via PM, and they said it was because they'd assumed I based the trope entry on this theory video, and because they thought the video in question "grasps at straws to make it's point". I subsequently clarified to GDGame that I'd actually noticed the points of the above Seven Deadly Sins entries before I'd even watched that video. I've since started this thread to discuss the entry's restoration to avoid being potentially guilty of edit-warring if I restored it straight away.

And yeah, the top line was originally adjusted to lead into the below six entries, it being changed to what's currently on the page was a mistake on my part. As for Lucifer being referred to as a demon or strictly a Fallen Angel, after looking at his Hazbin Hotel Wiki page and seeing it strictly lists his species as the latter instead of the former, I guess we could change that.

I'm not sure if this properly articulates my thoughts but while a lot of what Mammon does can technically fall under other sins, the way most of them are presented feels more like they're symptoms that stem from Greed rather than attributes separate from it and on an equal level. There's also some that feel like a reach.

I mean:

  • Lust: True, Mammon sells sex bots but it's more motivated by exploiting sex craved degenerates for profit than promoting lust in of itself. He might be lustful based on his two personalized Fizzies and such but there's no real concrete indication that Lust might be a main attribute for him or at least on the same level as Greed. At the very least, him sexually abusing Fizz himself comes off as too much of a theory based on what the episode has shown.
  • Gluttony: Simply shown eating in of itself doesn't exactly make one gluttonous or that gluttony is a main attribute of Mammon's. If that was enough then Blitzo eating while watching a Pony movie would also count as gluttonous.
  • Sloth: Mammon definitely doesn't do any more clown acts of his own but he's shown doing a lot of work promoting his products. Him also giddily accepting bags of cash at a fast pace doesn't look very slothful. It seems more like he only does things if it gets him more money at the price of doing less work himself but will happily do anything extraneous if the profit gained outweighs whatever work exerted.
  • Wrath: Mammon getting mad at Fizz quitting doesn't seem enough of a case of Wrath being a major attribute of his and more of him being mad that his cash cow is leaving. If it was then Ozzie and Bee simply getting mad would also count as them having wrath as part of their main sin.
  • Envy: Him ripping off Lu Lu World seemed more like him stealing Lucifer's idea for money rather than a real indication that he's genuinely jealous of Lucifer or such. Considering that there hasn't been a direct interaction between the two, it also feels too speculative that he did it out of jealousy. Besides, many companies in real life constantly rip off their competitors and it's more likely that they're motivated by profit than outright jealousy. Example: Every movie studio that has tried making their own multi-movie franchise like the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
  • Pride: Again, it's too speculative to say that Mammon ripping off Lucifer's theme park was him being Prideful rather than just him being greedy. Mammon not realizing that Fizz was singing about him seemed more like he was simply being dumb rather than prideful. Mammon also saying that Fizz is being ungrateful and such might indicate he might be prideful to some degree but there was no indication he was too prideful to recognize that he was being a Bad Boss. Then there's him admitting the Glam sisters were funny and made him reflect on his prior statements. Whether one can consider this as pragmatic or not, someone who was super prideful definitely wouldn't have admitted something like this publicly like he did.

All in all, this sort of feels like listing someone with the Berserk Button simply for one instance of being mad. Again, I'm not sure if my thoughts were properly articulated but that's how I kinda feel about these entries.

Edit:

^ Link to Cartoon Universe's theory is missing a capital E at the end of its address.

Regarding the recent addition of "She Is the King," have the characters on this page ever been referred to using gendered titles in the show?

The closest thing to any title I recall any of them using was when Fizz called Asmodeus "the Embodiment of Lust."
