Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

I don’t know, I think LOG is a good example of Hate Sink. I mean, he does make multiple quips at your expense, mocking the characters and past games in the series, and is not only hated in the universe, or at the very least, not tolerated, but also hated by the fans as well for ruining the Banjo series in their eyes. Sounds like a Hate Sink to me. Am I missing something?

Edit: Whoops, accidentally got the page topper as well! This calls for a victory tune!

Edit 2: [down] Aight, sorry. Didn’t know this was done.

There are more reasons that he is hated than that, but I think we can find another trope for him. And who do you think is a better Hate Sink, if I may ask?

[up] Enough with the page topper bullshit. This goes for anyone else that's still doing them.

As for LOG, the only reason people think he's a Hate Sink is because people hated Nuts and Bolts because it isn't what they wanted out of a Banjo-Kazooie game and the "fans" want a scapegoat to blame it on (which sounds like The Scrappy to me). Besides, there's other options for Hate Sink out there.

[up][up] I agree with this. LOG isn’t the primary reason why Nuts and Bolts failed- it was wholly the change in gameplay.

@Kaijin Zero. Since when did you have the authority to call a major contributor to the Pantheon as such when you yourself barely contributes to the project? For all I know, the latest edit you've done on the Pantheon was on April 11, 2019 and I don't remember you making any profile of sort.

So no, its you who doesn't get the right speak here.

And to anyone putting up some page-topper gimmick or whatever gimmick like lists, etc, cut it out. This is the thread of the Trope Pantheons and not a specific forum game. Go do that somewhere else.

Hmm, who would want Mr. Deeds enough to visit them as often as they can, or even keep attempting to steal the bell?

Mr. Deeds, God of Butlerspace

  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: SCP-662, the bell that summons him
  • Alignment: True Neutral, or whatever the ringer of his bell needs him to be.
  • Portfolio: Basically A Genie in a Bottle, Benevolent Genie, Absolute Loyalty To Whoever Rings The Bell, Will Even Kill People If Asked, Needs To Be Unobserved To Do Deliveries, No Explanation To How He Does What He Does, Always Comes Back Okay When Killed
  • Domain(s): Bells, Butlers
  • Followers: The Devil King's Butler, Eirote, Hagiyoshi, Discworld Igors, James MacGuiness
  • Allies: Whoever summons him
  • Enemies: Whoever he kills
  • Awareness of Mr. Deeds became known during an experiment where he was tasked with performing something that inadvertently required him to be present in the Pantheon proper. An investigation eventually led to the Foundation and to SCP-662. His explicit abilities made him the perfect fit for Butlerspace, as he's a servant who explicitly appears out of nowhere when needed.
    • However, there came a few legal issues. Namely the fact that for the first time in the Pantheon, it's not an SCP of the Foundation that's being ascended (or an employee or a rival organization), but rather a byproduct of one. Also, given the nature of Mr. Deeds, tests had to be made to determine whether or not a location in the sight of an omniscient entity who can see everything everywhere counts as being observed; it's not, as long as where Mr. Deeds will "spawn" is not focused on, otherwise the bell would not have worked at all since the Foundation's ascension to the Pantheon.
  • Arrangements had to be made for his temple to ensure that there is at least one completely unobservable enclosure to guarantee Mr. Deeds's manifestation. At present, SCP-662, which is how Mr. Deeds is summoned, is kept in its red velvet lined case and stored in a High Value Storage locker in the temple when not being utilized for testing or other appropriate activities. Like SCP-261, Foundation staff are on guard to ensure nobody absconds with the bell when used. They're also there to perform regular polishing to avoid tarnish.
  • Mr. Deeds is summoned when SCP-662 is rung, and always addresses the ringer of the bell by their appropriate title and last name, and ask what it is they desire. His knowledge of individuals’ last names and titles is a mystery, as he himself will purport.
    • If the individual is gender-neutral or gender-indeterminate, and holds no royal title or military rank (like King Pendragon (whether it's Artoria or Arthur who summons him) or Commander Shepard), Deeds will use an honorific that matches the commonly perceived gender (or switches between Mr., Ms., or Mrs. between summon periods), along with an apology for his inability to 100 percent determine their gender.
    • If the individual has no surname (such as A2 or Teddie), he will use their single name.
    • If the individual conceivably has a surname that merely isn't known to the public (like Agent G or the Zombieland crew), the surnames he provides will be distorted and unhearable to all except the addressed individual. Said individuals' reactions often vary.
  • Most reasonable requests given to Mr. Deeds will result in satisfaction. However, there are limits to what he can do, such as very complex items like sports cars, luxury homes, or personal jets. If he is allowed to leave line of sight and return, he is able to produce smaller, less complex items such as a ham sandwich, a glass of iced tea, or even more luxurious items like caviar or a brick of gold (though only up to 99.14% purity).
    • So far, he's been able to procure the following in Foundation tests: Nearly any conceivable kind of sandwich (except human flesh), beverages of nearly any kind (except human blood, though pig blood was okay, and served still warm), a hand grenade of modern U.S. Military grade, which performed as expected in testing, the board game Monopoly (Mr. Deeds won on the first playthrough), a bouquet of fresh-picked red roses.
  • Mr. Deeds will also perform menial tasks, such as washing vehicles, preparing food, and cleaning bathrooms. If a request is deemed unreasonable or impossible by the butler, he will kindly tell the ringer so, and offer an alternative if one may be had.
    • Among tasks he's performed in Foundation tests: cleaning of cars, dish washing of a day's worth of meals from a cafeteria, trimming of hair (but it turns out that Mr. Deeds is not in fact a very good barber), washing of laundry (and the clothing was found to "fit better" in the user's estimation), and assassinations (but not if they're too well guarded and entrenched, and could not or would not give further details).
  • Unfortunately, his origins and why he does why he does (or why he can't do certain things) are unknown, even to himself, as far as the Foundation has been able to glean from their methods. All attempts at mind-reading came up with the psychicmental equivalent of seeing static and color bars like on television.
  • As a manservant, Mr. Deeds drew the attention of folks with similar lines of work and was summoned on separate occasions by Elenore Baker, Sakuya Izayoi, Alfred Pennyworth, Fiona Mayfield, Hayate Ayasaki, and Sebastian Michaelis for conversations.

Kenji Oja, God of the Big First Choice (The Serpent's Son, Little Dragon, Lord Serpent or Lord Dragon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bf43ccc7a8ecc303f3d6e869ab5995ff_removebg.png
  • Lesser God, Dragon!Kenji might reach Intermediate levels
  • Symbol: The Serpent Orb
  • Theme Song: Serpent Attack as Serpent!Kenji, Dragon Warrior as Dragon!Kenji
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil (if he takes the Serpent Path) or Neutral Good (if he takes the Dragon path)
  • Portfolio: Wutai Culture, Critical Hit, Campaign-Exclusive, Lightning Bruiser, Sword and Gun, Took a Level in Badass, Unexpected Successor, Training the Peaceful Villagers, Dragons Up the Yin Yang
  • Domain(s): Clans, Choices, Good or Evil
  • Heralds:
  • Followers: Agent Craig Willmore, Kazuki Takemura, Denam Pavel, Trestkon, Michael Tapp, Zheng, Jack Mower
  • Allies: The Commander (depending on their current allegiance)
  • Enemies: Each other and each other's allies, Heartless-summoners such as Master Xehanort
  • Sometimes, at some point in a game, you're required to make an important choice. This choice can affect a lot of things, from as little as available upgrades for the entire game, or even what storyline you'll take (requiring a replay to see it all). Kenji Oja, former exile from the Serpent Clan after being assumed to have killed his father, upon returning to the lands from where he was born, was faced with an important choice; in the midst of bandits raiding a village, who should he side with?
    • The Kenji who helps the bandits would rebuild the Serpent Clan under a tyrannical fist. The Kenji who helps the villagers would start anew as the benevolent Dragon Clan. Since both paths are irreconcilable with one another to ascend as a single person, two Kenjis were ascended as separate entities instead, and both immediately came to blows, disgusted at the other's choice (and disbelief from Serpent!Kenji after the revelation that the Serpent Orb's power and the Dragon are real after all). They were shortly separated by the Court, who had ascended them in the first place.
  • Applies to both Kenjis:
    • Their temples take the form of Serpentholm, remade in their respective images, and facing in opposite directions so as to minimize immediate clashes, mostly instigated by Serpent!Kenji.
    • And supporting the Kenjis as their Heralds are their Zen Masters, essentially hero units. While both Shinja and Otomo served both Kenjis, their ultimate allegiances brought the former to Serpent!Kenji and the latter to Dragon!Kenji. The latter Kenji was glad, given that Otomo dies in both paths, and now they're reunited.
    • Naturally, given their dispositions, Serpent!Kenji joined the GUAE while Dragon!Kenji joined the GUAG. Both Melkor and Cosmos were pleased with their latest additions to their ranks.
    • The Dragon Clan generally disdain firearms (though still use rockets) while the Serpent Clan appreciate and perfect their use. That said, even Dragon!Kenji is not above using them, and can learn to appreciate allies who use such weapons.
    • If there's one thing the two Kenjis have a common opinion on, it's despisal for creatures born from darkness thanks to their (separate) experiences with the Nightvol.
  • Exclusive to Serpent!Kenji:
    • Having a necromancer among his Zen Masters thanks to Shinja, he has no issues working with those who can raise the dead, such as Kel'Thuzad, to achieve his goals. Of course, that just means he won't oppose them on principle; their attitudes can still determine allegiances, such as him merely being on good terms with Arthas (if only because his Scourge are numerous enough to count as a threat).
    • When working alongside the Commander, even if it's proven really effective, he's annoyed whenever the Commander employs him as a damage sponge for the Ronin's Blood Bond (it transfers half the damage a Ronin takes to those they bond with) and keep Fan Geisha around to keep him healthy. It's a very effective strategy, sure, but that means sitting out of the fight. Now if it was some other Zen Master...
    • He's also come to like having Berkut and Charles zi Britannia on his side, even if only to help further his goals. This also goes for Kazuya Mishima and Bowser Jr., fellow evil sons to evil fathers, though he's bewildered by the... dynamic the latter's father has with the Mushroom Kingdom, given he hangs out with them half the time when he's not invading them.
    • Given his Yakuza look, and his ruthlessness, Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima have it out for him.
  • Exclusive to Dragon!Kenji:
    • Corrin gets along with him, having had to make a similar big choice, except it was between families who both love them and are good people to certain degrees (even if one family was under an evil king who might've been all but a puppet by this point), and they also had the chance for a third option. Of course, Corrin also shows contempt for Serpent!Kenji due to his cruelty.
    • His potential after unlocking his Ki holds so much light that he poses a great threat to dark entities with weakness to light has marked him as a threat to such deities or those who employ such creatures like Xehanort and Mr. Scratch.
    • As someone who goes against the intentions of their evil father( figure)s (even if posthumously in Kenji's case, as he wasn't actually responsible for his father's death), in addition to Corrin, Dragon!Kenji has become allies with Rock Howard, Zuko, Jin Kazama, and Alucard.

This might be just me, but my choice for Hate Sink would have to go to Jasper Batt Jr. he's a smarmy asshole who gets Travis's best friend killed because his family was also killed by Travis (which comes off as shallow compared to other character's backstories), is ridiculously petty, tries to mess with Travis by pretending he killed his loved ones and he has a whiny, obnoxious personality and voice overall. And that's excluding the fact he is one of the cheapest, most frustrating and surprisingly unsatisfying bosses ever made.

>Purple Eyes is getting disambig.
I sort of knew this was going to happen, but welp. Gotta get working on this better. Done with the Gessen girls.

Merge Project:Gessen Girls School and Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy
Gessen Girls SchoolMembers  and Hebijo Clandestine Girls' AcademyMembers , Goddessess of Graying Morality (Yumi  Murakumo  Yozakura  Shiki , Minori )
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gessen_hebijo_girls.png
First row: Murakumo, Minori, Ryouna, Ryoubi
Second row: Imu, Yozakura, Shiki
Third row: Murasaki, Miyabi, Yumi
Ice Queen Yumi
Abyssal Miyabi
  • Lesser Goddesses (Yumi and Miyabi are Intermediate Goddesses when using Ice Queen and Parasido of The Abyss/Divine Judgement respectively or if Miyabi is using using Blood Riot, Murasaki can be Intermediate Goddess if Root of Calamity is activated and same with Imu)
  • Symbols: Their perspective school symbols
  • Theme Music:
  • Alignment: Lawful Good (Gessen girls, started as Lawful Neutral), Lawful Evil (Miyabi and Imu), True Neutral (Murasaki), Chaotic Neutral (Ryoubi and Ryouna)
  • Portfolio: Shinobi
  • Domains: Shinobi, Schools, Morality
  • Allies:
  • Enemies: Dougen, Orochi
  • Opposes:
  • Exclusive to Yumi:
    • Yumi is the leader of the elite class of the Gessen Girls School. She is the granddaughter of Kurokage, and of all of his five adoptive children she is the one who wanted to carry out his vision the most. She originally was really cold and strict with zero-tolerance to anything evil. However, after seeing both other good shinobi and evil shinobi, she finally started to mellow down, trying to become more of an open-hearted person. She fights with pair of fans and can manipulate ice, which she combines with traditional Japanese dancing.
    • Heihachi looked at her with some interest, as she sounds like her wife Kazumi back then she was younger. Yumi looked at Heihachi, with his rough appearance for his age reminding her of her grandfather... but then felt disgusted when she heard what kind of parent he is. She is holds her judgement on Kazumi.
      • Note that this is not Top Secret information. She feels rather confused by Takane Shijou due of how oblivious she seems to everything.
    • Opposes Miu and Momo and antagonises Airy, Nui and B.B. Hood due of how deceiving their cute appearances are. Because cuteness is righteousness and justice and shouldn't be used for evil. Something she tries to enforce with her by either using Baby Talk or adding "puri" at the end of her sentences.
    • She is sometimes seen assisting Kokoro during her noh performances. Their most popular play is called "Shinovi Versus", telling the events what lead the Gessen School girls realise how wrong they were on things.
    • Is most likely not a yuki-onna, even if she shares many traits with one.
    • Is said to resemble Shiki Ryougi in appearance. She is not sure about the overall comparison, though.
    • Bring up "Oppai rock-paper-scissors" around her at your own risk. Though she is more embarrassed by it than pissed off.
    • Kokoro once wore her outfit, though it might have been a mistake on Yozakura's part. Though Yumi doesn't seem to mind.
  • Exclusive to Murakumo:
    • Murakumo was originally born in the slums before her parents were killed on duty, after which she was adopted by Kurokage. She is extremely shy and is embarrassed to show her "ugly" face in public. Because of this, she wears a mask which greatly alters her personality to be more stoic, bordering on cold-hearted. But as soon as her mask falls off, any confidence she has is gone. She fights using a giant cleaver, a spear and can call upon wolves to fight alongside with.
  • Aila Jyrkiäinen used to be the goddess of this, but quickly stepped down from it. When Murakumo ascended, she rapidly thanked her without her mask for allowing her to ascend.
    • She is pretty determined on wearing that mask of hers. For example, Ika Musume once tried to tell about her plans for her (possibly due of one thing), but Murakumo did not really see her as being evil, so she ignored and maybe ridiculed her. Ika then covered her mask in squid ink, causing Murakumo stumble around with the mask on to try to clean it.
    • Gets really well with Yayoi Kise. Not only do do they share the same voice, they are both aspiring manga artists and have rather bad case of shyness. In fact, she is one of few people she is willing to remove her mask to. Good thing to her, as with the mask on, she wants first-hand reference to draw something like a fighting scene. Or a cooking scene. Or a love scene.
    • She and Yayoi have befriended Nagi Sanzen'in because of their mutual desire to be Mangakas (Though Murakumo had to have her mask on when they first met her).
      • All of them were excited to find out that Ashirogi Muto, actual deities of Mangakas had ascended and they are trying to see if they can form a group to make their own mangas to become as famous as theirs.
    • Just because she is Lawful Good does not mean that she isn't willing to attack. Once Pudge tried to meet with her, she was disgusted of his actions and made him taste his own medicine (with help from her wolves). She seems to advice him to stay as a simple butcher if he wishes to avoid further confrontations.
    • One time, Handsome Jack decided to steal her mask away and insult how "ugly" she was, causing her to run away in fear to find a mask. She end up founding a new hannya mask... which just happened to be Kokoro's Hannya Mask of Anger. What resulted was a cleaver massacre from her to Jack so gruesome, it would make Rena Ryuugu's other side look tame in comparison.
      • She would've continued her massacre after being done with Jack if Kokoro hadn't knocked the mask out of her face and then used Murakumo's hannya mask to make her essentially talk to herself. She calmed down from it and they became friends. For reference, Kokoro calls her mask "The Ogre Mask of Confidence".
    • Ever since the ascension of the San Franciso chapter of DedSec, a trend of masks like that of the Expressive Mask worn by one of its members Wrench began to spread. Her friends have been trying to convince her to give one of these a try to allow for her to express herself without showing her face. That said, she likes her hannya mask, so progress has been slow.
  • Exclusive to Yozakura:
    • Yozakura was originally the oldest of 12 siblings from their shinobi parents. Then their mother died, she had to start looking after them as a surrogate mother until their father died as well, causing them to be split amongst their relatives. She herself ended up being adopted by Kurokage in order to become a shinobi to proof that she can look after her siblings. She is the doting parent of the Gessen girls, trying her best to look after them even if she isn't the leader. She with giant Pile Bunker gauntlets.
    • Close allies with Zenia and Bullet due of their preference on weapons. Though both of them agree that she should drop her mentality that "only men and women with no shame" are allowed to kick, with her saying that a proper lady knows how to use her fists and look good doing it. This is why she opposes most Kick Chicks.
    • She is also good friends with Vi due of her weapons. In fact, she feels good that her Knight Templar tendencies were turned around, otherwise she would have never thought that dark could turn to light like Vi did. Though she admits that Vi has a long way to go before she is in proper light.
    • According to her, it is only fine to grope some one if its some one you love behind closed doors... and unsuspecting guards on a mission. No one is sure if she is serious or not, but probably the former.
    • Is highly respected by parental gods due the fact that she was made to look after her eleven siblings once her mother died, and feel sorry for her due the fact that they were separated after her father died.
      • She is also respected by House of Food since she had to cook for all of her siblings. She is also good at making rather large-sized meals in general.
    • Commonly challenges other weapon-wielding gods into battle in order to understand her weapon even better and how to combat any kind of weapons.
    • Said to sound a lot like Sicily. She finds some disappointment on her, saying that where one of her signature moves is a holy-powered punch, her affinity with fists is piss-poor.
  • Exclusive to Shiki:
    • Shiki is a first-year student of the Gessen girls. Her parents were incredibly rich, allowing her to live a lavish lifestyle until their deaths, after which she got adopted by Kurokage. She is incredibly social and generally easy-going. She fights with a double-ended scythe and can summon swarm of bas to attack.
    • Even though she sounds like your typical valley girl and looks like your typical blondie, she is not what she seems on the surface. Well, she was until her parents died and started training under Kurokage. She is a lot smarter than she looks, being rather IT savvy and where she has her first impressions with people, she understands them if given enough time.
    • She spends some time with Byakuren in order to learn more about Buddhist sutras. She seems to appreciate how a girl like her would follow Buddha's teachings.
    • She has been studying French with Charlotte. When she asked why, she isn't sure what to answer. Kurokage just asked her to study languages and travel the world.
    • She loves to make nicknames to other people, especially for her closest friends. Which she has quite a few in the mortal realm. Even people she doesn't know can get them. That's also exactly why she has become friends with Taokaka.
      • Though in situation where she cannot think of any good nicknames to give, she tends to just go with using "-chin" suffix.
    • When in a bind and you have them, just play oppai rock-paper-scissors. That is something she told, at least.
    • She likes to spend quite bit of time in House of Crafts to buy new outfits. She particularly likes to visit Erika's and Tomoyo's places.
    • One flaw that Shiki has is that she does at times try to increase the traffic on her blog with any means necessary, generally at the expense of her friends. She is afare that it is bad, but she ends up doing it anyway. Mirai generally has to step in to stop her nonsense, even if she has to humiliate Shiki to do so.
  • Exclusive to Minori:
    • Minori is a first-year student of the Gessen girls. Not much is known about her life before her parents' death and her being adopted adopted by Kurokage. She is easily the most cheerful of the Gessen girls and the most childish, loves to play and eat sweets, though she is really concerned about her potential family. She fights with a bucket, which she can summon sweets from.
    • Kyoko Sakura got really mad at her when she originally ascended due to her thinking that she is wasting so much food. While Minori tried to calm her down by offering some food to her, Kyoko didn't listen and attacked. However, before things would get too out of hand, Yozakura dropped by and broke the fight. While she understands where Kyoko is coming from, that doesn't excuse her from attacking Minori, and says that if she attacks her again, she will break her spear and her arms.
    • Enjoys playing "battle" alongside other things with Eko.
    • Is seemingly getting some lessons from Hungary on how to wield her frying pan even better. Though she still prefers her bucket for fighting.
    • She tends to be one of top contestants to any foodfights what the House of Food has (when it involves just food, that is). Some other top survivors are Chase and The Three Stooges.
    • A boy calling himself Sora Shiun'in once tried to approach her due to his feat of beating couple of dudes with a lollipop stick. However, Yumi had warned about Sora beforehand, saying that she shouldn't trust him. As such, she challenged him to a variant game of rock-paper-scissors where the loser has to quickly defend their head from being smacked, and offered to use her bucket and frying pan for it. Sora accepted... only to regret later as Minori started to bash the bucket on Sora's head, causing his ears to ring for the entire day.
